We have all the feddbacks of real people who use the services of Happy Rolph's Animal Farm (Zoo) in the territory of Burlington (Canada).
At the present this firm has a rating of 4.6 stars out of 5 and that rating has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an opinions average is virtually the best one, and it is founded on a very large number of scores, so we can say that the assessment is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Zoo is classified in the category of Animal park.
cute friends !!
Excellent place to take the kids. We were surprised, when we arrived, that access to the park was free! A large playground was available for the kids, there were many animals for them to see and there was a very well maintained walking trail that took you past some duck ponds and along the waterfront. We were surprised to find, at the top of the hill, a memorial to those Canadians who perished on 9/11 and we stopped to read all 27 plaques. A must visit place if you're visiting the St. Catharine's area.
First time come here ,My boyfriend brought me here. There are goats, alpacas, geese, horses, mini donkeys. Good for kids. The only short one is that it smell a little bad ???????????????? enjoy your time

Absolutely great place to take a walk. Brought out kid here for free and he had a blast. There was lots of shade to get out of the summer heat, playground is new and very safe. Paths are large and handicap accessible.
A nice scenic park, kind of small though. The kids would love the animals in season.
Nice park by the lake. Has some farm animals too.
Super cute little area especially nice for young families ????
Such a beautiful property. Had a lot of fun with my friend and our kids
Nice selection of animals & trails to the duck pond & lake. Picnic tables & covered patio available by reservation.
Very nice place to visit...its not a petting zoo but the walk area is very nice
First of all, it's free. There's a few animals to see, a normal farm setting, horses, goats, pigs and chickens. There's also Bonnie's and alpacas to see. There's a big park with a nice foam flooring. Nice trails with great views of Lake Ontario. It's clean and would recommend for a hour or two visit.
Family always loves coming here, kids love the animals and playground
I recently took my step granddaughter there. It's hard to believe I took my kids there. It's been updated and looks great! There is even hand washing stations. I can hardly wait to go see the animals and their babies. Be sure to look up hours of operation.
Great place, beautiful surroundings
Free place to visit for your kids to see some lovely tiny farm.
We love Happy Rolph’s. It’s great for the younger set. Lots of farm animals to visit. A pond with birds and turtles. A walk close to Lake Ontario. And a play place. And there is no fee!
Very family friendly , well maintained and great playground.
A very nice place to bring young children, but also in general it's just a very nice place to see different animals. I really enjoyed my time spent watching the pigs, the donkeys, the goats etc. The only thing that was off-putting were the goose droppings on the ground, but that's not anything you could keep on top of as the geese walk around quite freely. If you continue to follow the path you will eventually come to the Lake. I sat on the rocks and spent approximately an hour having a nice conversation with a friend. I will most definitely go back and plan on doing it very soon.
Great setup to help kids and adults alike, reconnecting with nature
Unfortunately the petting zoo is closed due to covid but you can still feed the ducks. They need to add some water to the pond as the water level is low due to insufficient snow fall this winter but still a tranquil place to walk Nd visit.
Very small area. Just good for neighborhood visit
Petting zoo with cute pygmy goats are nice and the adjacent playground is strategic.
We are visiting from BC - a fabulous place to visit! The animals are well-kept and the enclosures are super clean. We enjoyed the antics of Milton the Pig - he was checking out the holes in the ground and then decided to roll a stone around to show us what he can do. Happy llamas, donkeys, mini horses as well as a rescue horse and her colt. The wooly sheep, rabbits and hens were adorable. We took a walk along the woodland trails close to the lake. A wonderful way to spend a few hours on a sunny afternoon! We highly recommend Happy Rolph's Animal Farm to visitors and locals.
Great to see the animals and also a beautiful view of the lake
Closed for the season after pumpkin ville activity. Poor website. Look carefully for dates and times.
Love it here. The animals seem very happy and I love when it smells like peaches.
Love this place. Very clean and staff are friendly. Only one thing I noticed that needs attention, the ladies washroom had no handsoap or hand sanitizer.
Great place to see the animals and nice walking path to the lake.
Fun place for kids and adults alike. Go on an overcast day for a nice relaxing stroll.
Great place to take the kids. I love that I get to take my babies to the same animal farm I enjoyed as a kid.
Nice small farmable for the kids so they can nap at the different animals which are farm animals so really exciting place for the kids to visit they can really enjoy by interacting with the animals that can pack them and their timings are also good so nice place commended for kids to visit
Happy Rolph's was a wonderful place to walk around and enjoy the animals I wish so much that we could have been closer to them but due to the self centered ignorance of one person it is no longer allowed. Also the addition of the new playground for kids is a guaranteed place of fun for them. If your looking for a place to enjoy your day head out to Happy Rolph's
Great place for kids and families. I work with children as well and I am always looking for low-budget/free ideas/places to take the children to. This is a great place to go. One downfall is, you can no longer pet or feed the animals as a new fence has been built several feet in front of the enclosures. It takes a positive and therapeutic (for some) experience out for the kids. I believe this would be beneficial for the kids however, I understand and respect this for maintaining the wellbeing of the animals. Overall, it is a good place to go on a bright beautiful day! The view of the lake is beautiful as well and very relaxing.
Nice, wholesome place to spend time with the family. We went in May, so there were baby geese and ducks and even a newborn donkey. looks like a good place for a birthday party. Negatives: ton of little flies (the season) and the water the ducks/geese are in is pretty gross. Everyone feeds the birds so that surely mucks up the water, but there was also a work glove floating in there... Small things compared to the nice time we had though.
Always a great place with serenity for all. Everything is so peaceful with the farm animals and waterfowl at the water. Then the trail leading to an expansive view of Lake Ontario and additional shoreline walk makes for a perfect day for all ages.
Beautiful ..fun and relaxing place to go with kids ... best picnic spot too
This place i always want to visit evey year
Always a great time here. Great to see all the animals, duck pond, a nice trail and a big playground for the kids. The grounds is always well taken care of. Not much more you can ask for, for the price of free!
This animal farm park is located by the water, and it's very clean and spacious. It has an animal farm that is not petfriendly - for the safety of the farm animals. I had my 2 little dogs with me, and I was able to see a couple of cows from outside the fencing area. There is a children playground, and a very clean bathroom facility. There are a lot of trails throughout this park. I stayed on the main trail that takes me to the walk, along the water and to the 9/11 Memorial Park, which turned out to me my favorite part of the park. For each Canadian 9/11 Victim, a tree was planted and a post with the name of the victim installed by the tree. The trees are planted forming a shady walkway. There is a post for a Canadian flag and a large 9/11 sign. The walk along the water was very peaceful. If you are in the area, I recommend that you stop by.
We walked along the Memorial trail by Lake Ontario mostly. It was a beautiful day. Happy Rolphs was busy with families in all areas, having a great time,
The family always has a great time coming here. Animals are so fun and cute. Make sure to bring bird seed to feed the ducks and geese. The playground is a safe kid friendly structure and the park is great for picnics.
Great place to go with family and friends! One of the few place one can still go for free!!! Great spot for taking little ones to introduce them to the animals as well as getting to walk on the trail and along the water. I highly recommend it for a family outing.
Beautiful view of the lake, beautiful property surrounded by peaches, animals are well-treated and well kept, great place for a picnic
Fun for the kids but rather small. The duck ???? pond was the most fun since the ducks were really close and by the water (must bring food if you want to feed the ducks). The 9/11 victims memorial was very touching.
Nice place to go for a short walk with the kids, they have animals and a nice park
After the tragic slaughter of animals a couple of years ago, it went from "petting zoo" to "viewing zoo" and there's less and less point in going. Thugs could still get in but now you can't even touch the baby goats (for example). It's a shadow of what it was.
Its changed so much since the last time i was there 10 years ago look good looking professional but missing the fact you used to be able to pet and feed the animals
It's a great place to take the family you can see all the animals at the petting zoo and there are nice walking trails by the water and through the woods and there is also a great play grounds for the kids also a perfect picnic area
Free parking, no entrance fee, you won't see that in Niagara Falls!
Great place for kids to play and to stroll by the animals and landscape!
Not the same as when i was a kid. Back then you could pet the animals and feed them. But this way is safer and the animals seem happy. The waterfowl area was most interesting to me as a biologist . Lots of koi and catfish, geese, ducks, and a crane
Cute little petting zoo. The view of the lake was spectacular. Picnic area was clean and close to the play equipment. Our 5 year old was pretty excited. Just watch out for goose poop!
This is a great place to take the kids and there is big walking trail near as well as a playground.
Great place to take the kids or just yourself for an evening stroll. The ducks love grapes! It's fun to watch the animals and walk along the shoreline. Tip: go at sunset for spectacular views and less traffic.
Small farm animals to visit, duck pond and a nice new clean playground onsite. No snacks available to purchase so pack your own. Great for young kids. Spend 1 or 2 hrs not a day event.
Awesome place for kids. A few animals and a heck of a lot of ducks!
Just plain great for kids. We bring our boys here and they love it. It has it all, animals to watch and a play ground and it is free.
Lovely as always, no food for birds although you can bring your own seed. New playground nearly complete and looks great.
So much fun for the whole family! Great spot for picnicking!
Well maintained and an all around great atmosphere for families
Lovely little spot. Was great to do a quick walk through and see the animals. Very clean with a nice playground for the kids
Lovely little spot. Was great to do a quick walk through and see the animals. Very clean with a nice playground for the kids
Lot of fun great people
Fun, free place to bring the kids. Parking lot is on the small side you may have to park on road. Lots of picnic areas, shade and places to walk. Great park for younger kids, the squishy turf is awesome.
The new playground has made this a hot spot! Try to get there early or later in the day.
Nice little park. Lots of farm animals. Some trails nearby to lake to see 9/11 memorial (which isn't much to see).
Good place to bring young children. Farm animals on site! Free parking and nice walk by the waterfront
Nice for kids
My family makes so many memories here as a family. My kids love it her.
The geese are always happy to be fed but please don't feed them bread.
Nice place for a short walk. See the animals and feed the ducks and fish.
Grand daughter had a blast. Well maintained, clean.
Great place to take the kids! Farm animals to see, ducks to feed, and a great playground. There are also picnic tables and a covered eating area.
A wonderful place to go...with or without children. It's immaculately kept, washrooms and a playground that seems to be getting ready to open. All this is free. Animals and beautiful walking trails. I'm definitely going to visit regularly!
Great place for families with young children. Located right on Lake Ontario!!
Still a little wet with all the rain, but still a great place for the grand daughter.
The animals are lovely. I'm glad people can't touch them, so they don't get COVID from us. Thanks staffs and city for taking care of them.
Take the kids to see goats, ponies, llamas, rabbits and chickens, play on the swings and slides, have a picnic, see the ducks and turtles, all for free. You used to be able to feed the animals by buying kibble from little gumball type machines but not anymore. It has a nice view of Lake Ontario.
Clean (for a farm) and very family friendly. Lots of space for kids to run and explore nature.
Thus place sucks now that u cant pet the animals... And whi the heck wants to toss food down a long tube to feed the animals....smh
No one had masks on and they didn't stay 6ft apart in the playground area... Really didn't make me feel safe....
It's fun for younger kids.
Such a beautiful property. Had a lot of fun with my friend and our kids
Great place to take the kids for a little outing.
So much fun. Great family friendly place to vist. Just watch out for the geese.
Lots to do with a new park and a decent size trail for nature fix
It's an awesome little park with animals. Great place for a picnic with your family and friends.
Had a good time. I thought dogs were allowed but I ended up getting yelled at for bringing my dog in the animal area
An institution! I hadn't been there since I had been a kid, but it feels just the same
A great place for Sunday family gateway!
Nice to see the animals are back! The baby animals are so cute. This place is perfect for kids. The animals are well cared for. You can view but not touch, which is just fine. Bring the correct seed for the ducks, no bread allowed it makes them sick. Playground closed and under construction today but I imagine in a week or two it'll be good to go! Looks like will be fun.
Very clean place! The kids have lots of fun.
Very clean place! The kids have lots of fun.
Very nice place to go with little kids. Absolitely free.
Best place to bring you family
Always a fun place to take the little ones. They can feed the animals then play on the playground. Lots of picnic tables and a small covered pavilion for parties.
Amazing place to take family and friends. We love having a picnic and staying the afternoon or day. They should have more interactive events at this location.
A beautiful destination for adults and children alike. Kids will enjoy learning about farm animals like donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, turtles, and horses. Adults can enjoy the gorgeous walking path along the lake. I have enjoyed many picnics on the shore - beautiful view and a great breeze. It is sad to see the peacocks in such a small cage. There are two male peacocks, and both have many broken feather stems, likely due to how little space there is between the top of their cage and their plumage. I don't think the peacocks should be part of the animal display.
Happy Rolf's is a happy little bird sanctuary, tucked away down a farm road, located within the heart of Niagara's farmland. In addition to birds there is an animal petting zoo with well kept farm animals. There are also washrooms, a lot of green space, picnic tables and a great playground on site.
We visited Happy Rolph's as a family on 12 August 2016. It has a well kept animal area. 9/11 memorial trail in front of the lake view is a quite place to relax in the afternoon. It is really kind of them for not keeping an entry fee. I have been to many less attractive places with a heavy entry fee.
We love seeing the animals and enjoying the park and trails, but the number of people walking around smoking or even openly drinking really upsets me. I have a child with lung disease and its hard to find a safe place to play... But I still do like it here.
Nice park, just needs to be cleaned of bird feces because the pathways are full of them.
A wonderful little place to enjoy some family time and see the animals and birds, and all for free. What a nice local treat!
super great place to visit!! they have a nice selection of animals, a nice playground and you can take a little walk near the pond area that overlooks lake ontario :) it’s a really nice place to take pictures of the sunset and i think a great place for kids!!
Always a pleasure to go see the animals with the family. Also, the new park there is awesome! So great to see an accessible park be built. Side note, don't feed the geese/ducks bread it's terrible for them! Bring bird seed!
Beautiful grounds: a small zoo the kids can feed animals in, ducks and geese ponds (and plenty not in the ponds the kids can interact with), views of the lake and nearby marina, a small playground and a covered picnic pavilion.
Miss the petting zoo aspect of Hapoy Rolphs, but seeing the animals is fun too!
Always loved this place and glad to share it with the kids. Nice upgrade to the park as well. The playground is good. Sticker says recommended for ages 5 to 12 ( adult supervision recommended) but our three year old had no issues getting up and around on it. Always recommend this place for any age- even just for a nice walk.
A fantastic gem of the region with something for every age group
You can charcoal bbq but not propane. No big deal. It was nice. My friends kids loved the animals. Will go back
A wonderful afternoon. Park was slightly soggy in parts but there were plenty of dry areas. Washrooms were clean and staff on site selling feed for ducks was polite. An easy paved trail with lovely scenery including pond and lake views that all fitness levels can handle. A treat of a day for my child that happens to also be a fond memory from growing up (many childhood visits here).
Absolutely love this place when I was a child and now as an adult love taking my son here
Good place to be for an hour Small but a good selection of farm animals (free admission) Very clean washroom Nice and new renovated park
Animals! It's free, there's farm animals, a playground and a duck pond. Kids love it. How could you not love it too?
Nice free park with live animals to view. Beachside view. NEW Peacocks exhibit. Trails.
Great place to bring your kids if they love animals.
Such a nice park. A great place to take the kids and the walking trails have some really interesting plaques about the trees in the park and a great view of the lake.
Great picnic place and nice to walk by Lake Ontario
Always a pleasure to go see the animals with the family. Also, the new park there is awesome! So great to see an accessible park be built. Side note, don't feed the geese/ducks bread it's terrible for them! Bring bird seed!
One of my favourite places to visit, I only hope they keep it as a green space
Great spot to go for a walk and clear your mind
The people who can't find it must be terrible at reading maps. This location is correct. Can't fix stupid though.
It was a nice day and the animals seem very happy new clean.. my daughter loved the ducks.. just wish there was still good to feed them since you are not allowed to feed them bread....
Cant ever go because its closed weekends so my vote is 1 star till i can get a reason why they close it in days it should be open
Been going since i was a kid, and now i bring my grandbaby, lots of great memories and look forward to making more....
The animals aren't that exciting as you can see most at the farms you pass on the side roads. People don't follow the no feeding ducks signs and feed them unapproved stuff so there is tons of duck poop everywhere. Makes taking a stroll along the pond area a challenge in itself. The playground area is nice and has a picnic spot.
Good place for kids , family friendly
We went for the Halloween event. Was nice. The food lineups were always too long. Had a wonderful day there though.we would ho back again.
We love this zoo. Although it is not a "petting zoo" in the traditional sense, there is still a good variety of farm animals for children to see (cows, goats, chickens, etc.) and a very nice duck/goose pond with a walking trail (watch your step though - lots of goose droppings). Nice picnic and playground area for kids. Best of all, it's free! Bring your sunscreen, a small lunch or snack, and enjoy one of the nicest most affordable family attractions in Niagara!
Love taking the kids here! We go a few times each summer. It sucks you can't pet or feed the animals anymore. But its still really nice to see them. Bathrooms are new but theres always a strange buzzing sound Haha.
Great for kids to run around. Along with the animal park, there's a huge green area with a playground (with slides) for kids. We spent an hour here with our toddler.
Cool place to go nice animals and fun place for the kids and family i didnt get pictures of the animals sadly but got pictures in a different spot
Brought back memories when the kids were smaller. Always good for an hour walk and to see then animals.
Fun place for young children. Great offering by the city
Not quite the same place since violence against one of the animals in the park some years ago. There's barriers that keep kids away from the animals, and you're not allowed to bring any food from home, aside for the ducks down in the pond. The 25¢ feeders are long gone as well, which is unfortunate, since that would have at least still been a fun experience. All that said, my three year old still thought seeing the animals was cool, even if he couldn't touch or feed them. And of course, there's always the playground (his favourite part)... Picnic tables and a party gazebo are here as well, all nice and clean, same as the rest of the park. Probably not something that would excite older kids, but if you have a toddler who likes farm animals, could be worth a peek.
Great place! Loved the animals!
used to go here as a kid 25 years ago and recently remembered it so went to see if it was still there, it is and its still awesome :)
Beautiful! It is one of the parks my fiance and I are thinking of getting married at! Can't wait to visit in the spring!
Very clean quiet place to bring the children or to have a picnic. My family and I liked it very much will definitely go back again!!
Beautiful tranquil place. Great picnic area and children's playground. Public bathrooms are clean.
It's great as there is no fee but a little disappointed at how few animals there were. Would have gladly paid for something more. Such as more animals or a splash pad. Don't go too far out of your way to come here, speaking as a tourist.
cool animals, bring your dogs!
This place has improved so dramatically from when I was a kid, the animals seem well cared for and the place is clean and welcoming
What a place of peace, and calming a scene. I love this place♥️????
Well kept, nice and clean, wish they brought back the food stand lol
Small but a fun place to go and best of all it's free and has free parking
Wonderful place for a walk.
Worth spending time here. Picnic is a must
Great place to bring the kids. Neat little animal farm, a great park, and nice walking trails that tie into the waterfront trail.
Great place to go for a walk!
The new playground is a hit
Great little zoo with no admission and nice picnic area
Nice place, but you can't actually pet animals there (totally understandable given the history, but I wish that was made more clear on the website).
Was better the last time I went. Not as many animals as they used to have
I love it
It's a beautiful location, though very small. Only a few types of animals. The playground is nice, everything is well kept and tidy. A lovely place to have a picnic or birthday (though I'd suggest renting the pavilion to avoid any disappointment)
This was one of our favorite places of the day. We fell in love with the baby goat. ???????????????? The girls had a great time seeing all of the animals.
This was one of our favorite places of the day. We fell in love with the baby goat. ???????????????? The girls had a great time seeing all of the animals.
Wonderful place for children of all ages!
Absolutely love this place. My son and I went and he had a blast. The staff takes real good care of the animals and of the property in general. The updated park was a big hit with my son. We will definitely be going back regularly.
Small but lovely. The kids had a blast, both at the 'farm' and the park. Worth the trip!
Super wet right now, wear your boots. Fun time had by all. Great spot for a picnic at the park.
Nice place to take kids to run around and relax and see some animals with nice view of the lake.
Great location for a fall walk. Great area for maintaining social distancing.
Great for kids. Beautiful scenery. Too many Geese and huge geese poop near duck pond. Watch your step. Brand new playground. Well taken care off parks and equipment. Clean washrooms.
We love taking the kids here. Relaxing and become one with nature
Kids loved the animals, playground, and the walk around the trails. They spotted a turtle and many other critters. They loved feeding the friendly ducks.
Great location. Must go for younger kids!
Awesome animal sanctuary to take your kids to. I went there as a kid and now I take mine.
Love every corner. Beautiful
Not a petting zoo! Great place to hang out, see animals, go for a walk, but you cannot pet or feed the animals.
Great place to visit. The duck food vendor is closed due to Covid, so you can bring your own grains and vegetables to feed the ducks, however NO BREAD. It makes them unhealthy.
Thank you to the owners for allowing people into their farm . Great place to see and it is free the kids will love it , the place is amazingly clean
One of my favourite parks. All the animals and the park is small and beautiful
Perfect picnic spot. The kids love the playground, seeing the animals, walking the trail. A favourite!
Great place for a walk through the nature trails with the kids or your dog. the 9/11 Memorial Walkway has a great view of Lake Ontario. There is a duck pond with wild geese and ducks nesting during the spring. The park is open all year round but the petting zoo for the kids is only open from Mid May until Fall. There is a play structure for the kids, picnic tables, shelters and there are accessible washrooms. Note: The park is dog friendly but you have to keep your dog leashed and away from the petting zoo when the animals are there. The birds on the duck pond are wild and can be quite defensive of their young birds after they have hatched in the spring. The pond area is fenced but the birds don't always follow the rules and may be on the path. Be aware of this particularly if you are walking your dog along the path beside the pond.
Great little Park with a whole whack of critters in a cute little mini zoo. Kids are totally in love with it. Open mid spring to early fall.
Went there as a kid growing up and now I'm able to take my kids there and its pretty much the same.
Animals are cute. A good place for spending time with families.
Perfect day trip for the kids. Playground, animals, and feeding the ducks.
It sucks that we couldn't pet the animals but it's all understandable why, it's a nice place to take a stroll with or without kids.
Free to enter. Good selection of animal's. Very clean. Great park also.
The trail nearby & through it is amazing. So serene.
Not quite what we had expected. Initially thought this was going to be a petting zoo of sorts. There are a few animals and there are places to feed a few of them. It was really hot the day we visited, so not much activity there. A few nice trails around to go for a walk, so that was a major plus. Nice playground for the kids too.
No entry fee....has a playground and good for young children. Children love to feed the animals. You cannot bring your own food to feed the animals but can purchase there. There is a picnic area too ! A great way to spend an hour or two with young children.
A great place if you are a wildlife or garden enthusiast. A little bit of botanical garden here on the lake where the ducks turtles and fish have become tame. Every time we come we find some new trees that we never noticed last time.
There wasn't anything special about this place but land. The staff one blonde female was rude, uninformative and decided to yell infront of the crowd the food was for the ducks only when she heard my son say he wanted to feed the donkey... there were no postings where to "buy" the food or signs where to "feed" the ducks or even where the ducks were!... This place is very ghetto and I would be extremely unhappy if I had to pay even 25 cents more to be in there, my visit 20 minutes ... Long enough ... wouldn't recommend this place at all.
Great playground. Best in the area
Great place to walk around and talk to the wonderful animals. And, it's free!! ????
The zoo wasn't the best but all the ducks, geese and the tribute to the 27 trees planted with plaques for the victims of 9/11 was very impressive, so bring duck food or coins to purchase some food and have fun.
Totally kids friendly and it's free. Beautiful views and kind staff.
I love going here! 20yrs and still love going to see all the animals.
Animals seem well cared for. It is disappointing that I could not get good pictures of the animals as they are behind a double mesh fence.
Nice place for the family, great play ground. Would be 5 stars, but for some reason all these places whose target audience is children never have bathroom facilities for kids. All the seats, sinks and hand dryers are adult height. If my 2 year old needs to wash his hands after pooping I have to hold him, wave his hands under the water while pushing the soap dispenser and wiping soap on his hands. Would it kill you to put a stool in the place, or something?
Food costs are rip-off .... $5 for small bag of popcorn...give me a break and $15 for 2 keychain pony ride photos.. ya ok.thank God we knew better that to blow our funds there.
Great for kids and park area has lots of shade.
Awesome place. Kids will definitely enjoy. They are few swings and slides for kids. There are lot of benches where you can sit and enjoy your home food.
Free walk through animal farm next to Lake Ontario, great for walks and stroller friendly.
New baby donkeys are so cute! And as always the goats are a blast
Free activity with kids, the place is clean, lots of animals, funny history about the animals. Let's go there with the kids!!
Very family friendly
Lovely park with a small domestic zoo, well maintained pond, playground and fresh trails. Ample space for picnics and a working washroom. Plenty of parking. No entry fee.
Stopped in on the way to Niagara. Great little farm for little ones to visit and then take a picnic and get a great view of Lake Ontario.
Great place ! Zoo area was a bit small, but overall everything is really nice and well maintained. Keep up the good work!
Love this place! The goats are my favourite. The chickens are a close second.
I love this plase it has a great plase for kids to play it is very big and fun for all ages and if you dont want to play at a park you can walk by the lake and have a great view
Well kept clean park and animal farm with a beautiful walkway along lake Ontario. Perfect for small children
They have done a great job
Great place to be and now with NEW PARK EQUIPMENT in the shape of a farm tractor for the kids and they love it!
I love it here ❤️
A good place for some time with kids
A good place for some time with kids
Loved this place as a kid, now I enjoy taking my baby. It's just sad that we can't feed the goats anymore.
Loved it
AWESOME place for a nice walk. Warmer times of year they have a petting zoo with a variety of animals. There is also a playground. Great outdoor place for kids birthdays.
Natural setting for farm animals, renewed playground, woods, water fowl au natural, lots of running and grass space and fun shoreline walk along Lake Ontario
Love this place as it has a petting zoo, playground, pond, picnic table and more
The animals are back, it's free, u can catch the icecream truck and it's a safe place to play and very educational for the kids
Had a great time
Free, great place to go for a walk. The kids love it. The best part is, they are working towards having all the animals as rescued animals.
Nice place to see animals, let your kids play in the playground and spend the day outside. Walk to the water and around the park, great family day.
Nice place to walk, great playground and family enjoyed playing with the animals.
They have changed some stuff I feel like it was better last year. My daughter really loved the baby animals though.
Love going there
Love taking the little one there for a walk-through. Animals are always fun to see.
Great free place to bring kids and family. Easy way to spend a day in nice weather.
I've always loved coming here with my family but I really miss getting close to the animals and I hate that I can't share that experience with my children
Family friendly and love looking at all the animals. Thank you for keeping this going .
It is beautiful...love sitting by the lake. Fun for families to see the animals!
This place touched my heart. Nestled along the shore of Lake Ontario it is a peaceful family oriented park guaranteed to touch your soul with the water feature, four-legged residents and special feathered friends, including a small playground and picnic space. Run by the city, it is free to visitors
Great place to bring friends or family. For a small walk or a nice hike. Feed the ducks and see the animals while they're around. Love the goats they're always so funny to watch! It would be awesome if we could still pet the animals. Unfortunately people had to ruin it
What an amazing little farm and gorgeous park. The animals look like they are so happy and well taken care of. It’s really a sanctuary for them and for those who visit.
Beautiful place and nice pathway with a tree planted for every Canadian that lost their lives on 9/11. Animal rescue is great and the animals appear to be well taken care of.
Great place for kids and families! Accessible climbers and playground area, walking paths that are stroller/wheelchair friendly...and when in season animals to see and enjoy feeding! It's a hidden gem!
June 26th 2021 play ground not open yet but looks finished.... washrooms are open as well as petting zoo
A fun park for kids with a good number of animals.
Awesome animals for the kids to see. Awesome new play ground for the kids. Best of all it's free!
Great and fun park for the kids, Lots of open space with many picnic tables, a covered gazebo. Mostly clean, unfortunately the bathrooms are closed. And busy with familles.
Easily accessible, no entry fee, amazing local resource + neat access to the lake.
Kids will enjoy it. Various domestic animals to see. No fees. Nice little place beside it for family to spend some time to chill, small walk along lakeside and relax.
My son absolutely loves this place! Animals are rescues ❤
great place for a walk
This is awesome To see the animals
Beautiful park, great playground and picnic tables. Clean washrooms and lots of animals to see. Park is well taken care of. Follow the path down the the ducks in the pond and Lake Ontario.
Great place
We loved this place we had a 2 yr old birthday party there. It was perfect with play equipment and the animal farm is not too big. I love the trails and the proximity to the lake. It was a wonderful outing.
What a great day... You can't beat a free zoo, a great space to walk and a clean park. Never disappoints.!!
What's not to love? Bird sanctuary, groomed waterfront, large park and a petting zoo Have love this place since I was a kid!!
The new petting zoo is great. Kids love the zoo and playground. 911 memorial with view of the lake.
Excellent place for kids, beautiful park for the family. Great place for a picnic.
Lots of fun
Such a beautiful park. It is wonderful to have the small selection of farm animals as well as waterfowl roaming around. A wonderful space for picnicking and short walks.
Nice place for family
Fun for the whole family. My kids love the animals and the park.
New play equipment, love that they have rescue animals.
Was here for a birthday party. The playground and picnic area is very nice. However I was disappointed with the animal portion as they advertise this place as a "petting farm" yet you no longer can get near the animals. I understand after the episode a few years ago they needed to take extra measures to protect the animals, the big gate and fencing does that but the additional in front of the enclosures stops the children from experiencing it like it was meant too be experienced
This place used to be awesome, game farm closed, no feed to feed the birds. We saw 1 duck and that was it. Totally disappointed. At least the swings are still here....
Good for a day out with kids
You don't actually get to pet any of the animals but the bird pond is really pretty and the park next to it is a great spot for a family picnic and for kids to play
Nice little spot to take your kids to see some farm animals and they also have a playground and short trails you can enjoy - all for free! We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't that busy, so it was easy to enjoy yourselves and take a break away from "city life" for a bit.
This is a very nice park. It's got a number of farm animals in nice pens for visitors to look at. There's a good play area for the kids with slides, a small flying fox, plenty of swings. There is a nice path that goes around the park, along the lake and through some bush. We enjoyed spending an hour or two here on the way back from Niagara and would go there again. The only downside was the goose droppings on the pathway and the puddles on the lawn from the very heavy rain the day before. There were still places where people could picnic, but it's worth keeping in mind that it could be wet a day or more after heavy rains.
Great park for younger kids, plus the animals to see and the birds to feed. Makes for a really nice walk as well, especially if you head to the lake.
Animals are fantastic, playground has a large variety of things to do. Lots of areas to walk and take pictures. And it's all free!
The family loves Happy Rolph's. Nice place to bring young children. Lot's of animals to see and some well kept play equipment.
Great spot for small kids. Animals, nice walk to lake great park.
Lovely little farm that my three year old really enjoyed!
With all the great family places in the region, sometimes it's easy to forget about these cute, out of the way spots! I love bringing my kids here on a sunny afternoon.
Great place, animals at the ponds are tame and walk up to u
It might be cute and fun for little children but it is nothing compared to it's former glory when I was a child.
Kids have a great time seeing the animals too bad you can't touch them or get close to them anymore!! ????
The grand kids loved it. They did not want leave. And Ohhh what a view of Lake Ontario .
The kids love the animals and the new park is looking great
Great place for tiddlers to see animals, plus near a pond and playground!
Awesome place to visit.
Love going for a walk, sit by the lake, pay my respects on the 911 memorial path, from May 24 to Thanksgiving, seeing the different animals, please dont feed them bread there is proper feed to purchase, This was my dad's happy place, so many memories
Very cute and fun place. Great for kids. Nothing too extravagant, but still amazing none the less. It's also free.
Nice ????
Very nice park with plenty of animals to see. Nice playground for kids to play on as well. This is probably one of the best maintained parks in the area.
Such an awesome place to take your kids. When they get tired of the animals there's a great park for them to play in.
An amazing place to visit.. clean park.. well kept animals.. nice trails and stunning view from the lookout..Kudos to the people who maintain it very nicely..
Llamas, donkeys, rabbits and other animals expose children to a mini zoo on their way to a playground. The playground has been recently refurbished with top of the line equipment with climbing apparatus for various ages. Three types of swings, including ones suitable for children with physical challenges, are available. The surface is a very safe and resilient bonded rubber material. A very well thought out park.
Wonderful view and memorial to the Canadians who lost their lives in 9-11
A beautiful park and Iovely petting zoo in St. Catherine's. The walking paths provide a gentle and beautiful walk with an excellent view of the lake. Well worth a stop with a significant other or kids for a stroll or picnic.
Good outdoor place but disappointing not to be able to get closer to the animals.
The staff are very friendly and the animals are well cared for. This is a great place to take the kids.
A great petting zoo and lovely park. Great walking path, but I didn't see and public washrooms nor wheelchair accessibility. Limited parking as well, we had to park across the street.
Great place. Clean. Beautiful. Animals. Playground and picnic area lovely walking trail with a great view.
Kids will love this place. The animals are extremely friendly and used to humans being around them. Unfortunately some animals are more enclosed and cannot be petted like in the past. Don't wear white, or new shoes if you plan on walking along the short trail :)
Nice place to visit for young kids but a bit misleading calling it a petting farm. You can see the animals from a distance but not close enough to pet. Still a very nice park and the view from the 9-11 Memorial walkway is fantastic.
Nice place for picnic with the family. Free theres a small area of animals horses goats rabbits sheep and chicken. Lots of lovely paths for walking along the water tons of ducks. Also a playground for 0-10.
A great place to bring your family or your significant other for a walk and to visit some wonderful animals.
This place is the absolute best! Been coming here since I was little - an important part of living in St Catharines
Great place to take the kids! Washrooms are open after May 24 wknd and the animals are all out now too.
Such a lovely little park. Kids loved seeing the animals. Many tables to have a picnic. Many younger kids <5 years old.
It is an okay place for some time out with the family (if your kids are younger). It has some farm animals to look at, an area to look at or feed the ducks and geese and a nice walking path along the lake or through the woods. The playground is pretty nice and the park has lots of space and a decent number of picnic tables. If you are in the area and looking to kill time with the family check it out.
Great place to be and now with NEW PARK EQUIPMENT in the shape of a farm tractor for the kids and they love it!
Love coming here with kids or friends. Such a nice place to wander and see. So glad its still open! We visit all the time
Animals are back out and they have a few new. Fun spot to bring the kids for the day
love! I am grateful for the people that have donated this park and it's up keep. If only the world was full of people like this????Thank you for your undying service to our community and the universe as a whole.????
Great place for families with small children and it's free.
I love this place!!!
Happy Rolph's is a wonderful animal farm to visit for all age groups. My mother and I like to grab coffees and go for walks around the whole park. It is always very peaceful and well maintained. There is an animal sanctuary that is quite enjoyable and a new playground has been installed that made me want to be a kid again! It looked very fun and interactive. Whether you want to go on a family picnic, see the animals with your friends, or have a cute date, Happy Rolph's is a happy, easy going place to be. * no photos of the playground, new picnic tables, or many pics from the farm because I couldn't capture much without taking photos of other people's kids! *
We don't walk at happy rolphs. But the walkway along the lake beside them is lovely and easy to walk.
A great place to go with the family for a walk and a picnic. Fun for all ages!!
Fun but this year we cant see animals because its closed due to the coronavirus and Winter
Awesome little farm with plenty of cute horses, donkeys, chickens, and more! Your not able to pet them anymore but they're still so funny to watch running around in their little habitats! There's plenty of ducks all over too! There's a nice path and gorgeous view of the water behind the park. There's also a playground for the kids, with picnic tables.
Amazing spot for a picnic or a walk. Playground is under renovation but is making progress and looks like it will be tons of fun for the kids once it's ready. Cobra chickens weren't too aggressive.
Absolutely breathtaking Niagara landmark. Excellent Animal care. Very proud ambassador to Happy Rolphs in our beautiful region.
Cute animals but was a very small walk and very few animals... The kids park beside was really nice though!
Kids had a great time exploring the park and nature trails! We spent quite a bit of time skipping rocks and looking for fossils followed by some nature exploration!! Definitely plan to spend an afternoon if you love the outdoors not to mention the animals!!
Its beautiful relaxing and fun place to go with your family , Alone or with friends ! .always enjoyed going there with my little one
Nice park with a few animals and a playground thrown in for the little ones. Lots of picnic tables too. Nice place to take a stroll along the water as well. Free!
Love this park!! Great place for a walk, picnic, bringing kids? Petting zoo & playground is a must!! All free
Beautiful place to walk around and enjoy nature. Great free spot for young kids to see lots of different animals and also burn some energy at the playground. Beautiful scenery for photos as well. Well kept grounds and overall fun experience.
It is nice place to go for a walk
The animals look super depressed, mainly the belgian horse. I understand its a sanctuary, but it doesn't seem to be enough space for larger animals. The goats seemed super happy as well as the chickens. You do have to watch if its recently rained as the park area is super wet/a swampy mud pit.

Lots of fun with a new playground.
My family just returned, and we had a wonderful time there today. It is amazingly clean, and well-maintained. The animals look healthy and happy, and cared for. The staff were friendly and helpful, and allowed you the freedom to roam the grounds. There were lots of animal displays, a very large brand new state-of-the-art playground for little kids, and several walking paths, including a tribute to people who had lost their lives. My only complaint was that they didn't have a donation box for me to leave some money to help with the efforts. What a great discovery!
fun in the sun
Dislike because you can't let the animals anymore. Also should have a splash pad at that place.
Great place
Great for the family
Its family friendly and beautiful spot. Not the most animals but great place to go on the weekend with kids.
Gorgeous lakeside setting. Fun assortment of animals (many of which appear to be rescued) for kids to see. Nice place to spend time.
The kids love it and the revamped playground is a treat for them. The 911 memorial walk overlooking the lake is a lasting reminder
Love that it's free to visit the animals but to call it a petting zoo is false advertisement. Its a viewing zoo. Can't feeds or touch the animals any more. ????
Nice view relaxing animals when they're out nice walk also walk by the lake nice view and the playground
Good park for variety of ages and animals are a nice option when taking a break
Amazing place for the kids
Great place for kids to enjoy the outdoors and see some animals while we're there
Great place for kids to enjoy the outdoors and see some animals while we're there
Beautiful gardens and farm animals for children's entertainment. Great place for a picnic
Loved seeing the animals and there was a beautiful walk area near the water
Small, but it's a free farm animal zoo and mostly paved areas!
Amazing park, very well taken care of animals, nice trails for a walk, great views of Lake Ontario. Biggest plus is it is free.
New play equipment, love that they have rescue animals.
Vary cool place nice trails and the oldest willow trees I've ever seen highly recommend this place
Nice park attached. Not bad for free. Watch out for the massive amounts of geese...and poop.
I love that's theres a free zoo for the kid's and thats the kids LOVE so much to go to to see the joy in the face and eyes when they see the animals is price less and then the kids see that's it free to see the animals then it makes something go off in there hearts the price of joy is worth. More then money them big cartels that make you pay to see animals that are barely taken care of he said Happy Wheels the animals are well taken care of and loved every single day in fact I went to the zoo paid $15 to go in and I went to walk around and see the deer they are poorly treated as well as other animals treated as a piece of money no care for their health only for their wealth
It was a pleasant evening at Happy Rolph's - the grandkids love the place - just watch your step when you walk on the path where the geese hang out! Interesting to see the beehives (in safe places, well beyond the fences) at the park
For a free zoo it had a good selection of animals and was well maintained, the amenities where clean and the play area was very spacious.
Been visiting for 28 years . First with my kids, now with theirs! So many incredible memories!
Really cute farm for the little ones and a nice geese trail.
Its closed for the season now but it is a great place for kids. And free. Go to dollorama to buy seeds for the ducks..very pictuesque
I love this park. It has a beautiful view to Ontario lake. It has farm animals.
So much to see & do for our grandson !!!
Nice park with farm animals to see. Small playground. 911 Memorial walkway by the lake. We come here several times every summer.
Fantastic place to visit. Love sitting waterside and watching the turtles in the pond and all the surrounding wildlife.
It is a very nice place to visit with the family. The kids will love seeing all the animals, specially now that there are 2 baby goats and a baby donkey. You can also go for a walk by the lake and enjoy the view. There's a playground for kids and also a picnic area.

A petting zoo without petting. Disappointed children. Skip the drive and go to your nearest city park instead.
My kid loves going save seeing the animals
Very nice place. We enjoy very much being there with our granddaughter
Nice little place to take the kids. Looked like they were just finishing the last few things for a new playground aswell
THIS PLACE IS A NICE PLACE TO GO FOR A WALK WITH THE FAMILY, YOUR DOG .
Fun
One of the best places
Loved it here. Our girls get so excited everytime we go
Loved it here. Our girls get so excited everytime we go
Great place to take the family out for a day! Nice scenery and so many spots to take photos. Picnic areas, play ground for the kids, and a petting zoo. The only thing this place is missing is a small splash pad for the kids to cool off in the summer season!
Fun place to take the kids for the day... playground and nice walk to see animals
Small, but great considering it's free!! And next to a nice park
Nice place to take kids! Only complaint is u can't pet or get close to animals.. has park and place to picnic
Nice visit and kids can enjoy for free. Connects to the waterfront rail
This is my favourite place in St.Catharines.
The kids had a great time at the park here. There is a lovely view of the lake from a trail.
A great place to take the kids. Great park, good trails to walk, and a nice assortment of animals to see. Lots of seating (benches and picnic tables) and shaded areas to sit and relax. Overall a great place to spend some time with the family.
Nice place except the park is currently under construction which i wish we knew before going and the bathrooms are locked making thing especially difficult for women and small children. The park is very clean and there are lots of animals to see.
Nice spot, not like it used to be. Not quite a petting zoo anymore. Fences between prevent you from getting to close. Nice short walk and a great park for the kids. Good way to kill a afternoon
My son loves this place! Asks to go there everyday. It's really small and not much animals but it's always a nice experience for those 5 and younger. I also love the fact that they have a park there too, along with the tables and space. This makes it a nice place to spend the day there!
Fantastic place to spend time with young ones. Lots of space to play and plenty of picnic tables to enjoy a snack or meal, always been clean and tidy. Also lots of parking
Great place to spend a few minutes or hours.animals water side eating spots bathrooms.
It's free & who can be unhappy around baby goats? There's something wrong with you if you get to see baby goata chillin' for free and you're still disappointed! Goats on goats on goats!
Awesome for little ones, nice park and trail. Plus the kids love the animals.
Awesome free spot take the kids out go for a walk play at the play ground look at the animals
Love this place good place for Bbq or paninc with kids for free
Great place!!! Amazing and clean park, there is also a lot of animals that you can see, there is also a very nice trail thru a forest and by lake Ontario, great place !!
Not quite what I was expecting. A little underwhelming, but cute and nice for a little detour if you're in the area. There are only a handful of animals but the park and surrounding area is nice.
Not much to see animal wise, but nice park for a walk by the water
Beautiful new park with a squishy turf. It was so nice to see some animals out as well. Can't wait to come back when it's less busy.
Free fun in Niagara region! Great place to bring toddlers to preschoolers. Just enough animals to be fun but not overwhelming for the kids. Playground is fun. Nature walk is perfect. Bring lunch, picnic tables available.
Awesome Place lots of animals big playground for the kids to hang out on all in all a great place
Awesome Place lots of animals big playground for the kids to hang out on all in all a great place
was very disappointed!! I remembered the place as a happy place, kids interacting with animals...now everything is closed in, almost no animal was visible, to bad that there is no more feeding and petting the animals. I was looking forward to seeing my grandson be as exited as my kids where when we visited Happy Rolphs, but unfortunately he didn't get the same exiting experience as my children did 15 years ago.
Beautiful little spot. Wish you could pet the animals but apparently there's a reason behind it. The area is lovely and the walking path behind happy rolphs is a gem. My toddler had a great time.
Very nice place. Also, when I went and took my children there was not one segal in sight to compete for food with the ducks and geese.
As always nice way to spend a few hours or whole day with a picnic.
The animals are great to see (during covid i haven't seen any out yet) they have a park that is great for the kids and the walk through the forest and by the ponds/lake is what they love most chasing all the ducks passing by!!!
Fun times with grand daughters looking at all the animals and great job with the new playground. Love that it is an accessible playground for everyone
Very clean, opens early and absolutely free
This is a great place to take the grand kids, they love the animals, looking at Lake Ontario and the play ground. Lots of open space ????
Amazing encounter with nature
The perfect place for all ages! The farm animals are happy and well taken care of & the bird sanctuary is beautiful. After being entertained walking through the animal viewing area and a beautiful walk by the ponds you are led to a spectacular view of the lake. Following exploring the grounds there are many picnic areas to relax and take in nature. Definitely worth the trip!
Very nice
Ducks! Gooses! And I guess other animals... But most importantly gooses and ducks.
What a neat place. Great little walking trail. Great park area to have a picnic. Good play structure for the kids right near the animal pens.
This is in a beautiful spot, with a large park and picnic tables. There are a few animals on display near the entrance. The pools with the ducks and geese, are surrounded by lovely trees. There is no entrance fee.
Great place for a nice walk or have a picnic or just let the kids play or see the animals . I let my son have his birthday party the had a blast
Cute little place great for kids. Has a nice park with playground and a few swings.
Nice little zoo some animals. Picnic tables and trails.
Nice little zoo some animals. Picnic tables and trails.
Great free experience to see farm animals along the water as well lots of trails nearby and you can feed the ducks seeds since covid they aren't selling them but bring some bird and they'll eat out of your hand
Love This place especially with the new playground equipment!!
Best place for a quiet walk.
Love taking my kids there to see the animals and taking a walk along lake Ontario.
Great place to go to spend a couple hours. Animals, park and nature.
This is a good place to bring young children. No admission charge. See a variety of farm animals, play on swings and walk among the geese beside a gentle brook.
Fun for the entire family
Great place. Animal sanctuary with walking trails to the lake and an awesome playground.
Great family place to visit. Kids will love there play area. Nice to see animals too. I recommend this animal farm. ????
If you are driving more than 10 minutes to get here, don’t waste your time or gas. There’s really nothing here. I was under the impression this was more of a petting zoo. All there was was a pregnant donkey, some goats, couple chickens, a pig and a peacock. There are some ducks you can feed in a pond. There is a little park area, but nothing you couldn’t find at a park near your home. Drove 40 min from port Colborne, with 6 kids, done and out in an hour.
Park is not open until dusk or 8 PM. Came on a weekday at 6 PM, early October and it looked like it had been closed for a while
Beautiful! Great place to relax. Scenery wonderful.
Happy Rolph's is a gorgeous and underrated place. It is far more than just an animal farm, there is so much more to see, including a beautiful view of Lake Ontario. Highly recommended.
Great park for familly fun. No dogs near the animals but you can walk with them on the short trails. Great place for a picnic. The ice cream truck showed up today!
The park is free to enter and the animals are well cared for. It's a nice place for a walk by the lake.
Lovely place for children. Thank you so very much for all the ones caring and keeping this amazing place
Kids LOVE happy rolphs. It's free and the animals look great. It's a real shame there aren't more places to take your kids like this. A hidden gem
Happy Rolph’s is a Niagara institution. Everyone from here has childhood memories of the playground and petting and feeding the animals. Everyone loves the bunnies, chickens, cows and ducks. We smile at the donkeys and laugh with the goats. We love them when they are there and miss them when they are gone. We take the ones we love there and smile with each other. Happy Rolph became a saint to us. Everything here is loving and pure. We just had our daughter’s first birthday there because no other place is this perfect. Go and see it again and feel your childhood. Love and respect for everyone that keeps this place going. Thank you from all of us that have visited throughout the years. If you haven’t been, just go. Go and have fun and smile and feel the wonder again.
The little guy loved it!! He's 1. Like up close + personal with birds.
Great spot for the family
Good family place for a walk. And to enjoy the park and animals
Took my service dog in training and was treated horribly by a staff member. I was yelled at from across the park that I couldn't bring her into the animal section. I have no problems explaining that she's a service dog in training AND showing paperwork but this particular staff member couldn't even be bothered to speak to me directly. After being yelled at, my dog alerted, as she's trained to do, and the same staff member immediately told me to shut my dog up. I will NEVER return to this place after the discrimination I faced and the embarrassment of not even being worth a 20ft walk to be spoken with. Absolutely disgusting behaviour by the staff member.
Nice place for kids with animals farm with free entrance park jungle and Ontario lake view.
Was a good view and nice walk.. Wish there was more animals though.
Wonderful place for a picnic with the family. Just grab a bucket of chicken, salads and the memories of good days with your family are forever.
Nice little place to take the kids!!
Not worth the drive to see a few common farm animals. Not to mention having to deal with the rude and discriminate staff. Don't bother going.
It was a great experience , my son had a blast.
Great for kids
They got new animals in. My daughter adores this place and the animals the park is nice a very well kept place. Fun for the family
Great place to take young children...even 80 years old. Peaceful. Take the time. Enjoy.
A very nice place to go with kids. There are picnic tables, playground and nice farm animals. There are trails for a nice hike also.
My kids loved seeing all the animals, including the Canada geese that roam the grounds. It was a great spot for a family picnic and and a beautiful stroll along the water.
Nice place to picnic a place to see the animals to see ducks the ducks they have a nice pond and you walk beside the lake Ontario real nice fresh air
Cool place to take going kids. Clean park with good equipment, nice trails and farm animals to look at. Well maintained and no admission.
Lovely trail near the river with trees planted of Canadian victims killed in 911 as well as an animal "zoo" of rescues and ones looking for homes. How wonderful! Also a playground for the children.
Love taking my kid here!!
Beautiful new park at Happy Rolph's. A more traditional playground, and then a tractor one that my children love. Great place to take the kids in the summer months when the animals are there. Or, makes a good spot for a picnic!
Sad that you can't pet the animals any longer but it's understandable why. Still a great place to visit and the new park is looking great.
Unfortunately due to covid the animals were not present, but we still enjoyed rhe lovely park and pond!!
Lovd to go it's nice to wk around
Fun. Rescue animals here to see (not pet) park. Picnic benches. Ducks and geese!
Because of lockdown we let many things go whole family all are drank walks alamals everyone had great times. Even when it starts to sprinkle the people under cover willing to share. Good experience!
Better for little kids
Love happy rolph's I went when I was little. My sissy when she was little. I have taken my son. And now my niece.
Very nice little park. Animals for the kids to be entertained with and some a pleasant walk by the lake.
If you're looking for a great place to stroll with the kids or just an afternoon out to bring some lunch for a picnic then go to Happy Ralphs! The place has been revamped, it's absolutely beautiful. Lots of animals to see, the place is clean, and free to attend! There are a few nice paths through some wooded areas and a great view of Lake Ontario as well. After you're done relax and have a bite in their park area complete with a playground for the kids. I was impressed!
It's labeled as a petting zoo but the animals are fenced away so you can't actually pet any of them. Gorgeous nature trails and bid feeding areas though.
Great place to take children for lots of fun. Animals and Park with swings etc. Nice pathway to walk down by the lake. 911 Morial to the people who lost their lives that day. Highly recommended.
A great place to take your children and grandchildren. Enjoy the animals and scenery. Bring a picnic lunch.
Visited Happy Rolf's Animal Farm with my grandson a few days ago. I found the place had been upgraded as far as the number and quality of the animals and signage goes. No feeding of the animals is allowed presently. The office is fenced off as is the playground that is almost fully reconstructed. The place is well kept and grounds beautifully manicured. I visited two times in a few days. First time parking lot half full. Second time hardly a parking spot available. Parking is free as is the entrance fee. Lots of young families, mothers with baby strollers second day. The visiting of the animals takes about 15 minutes. No dogs are allowed where the animals are located. However, continuing past the public washrooms there are pathways towards the duck pond and down and around the lake where you are allowed to walk your dog. At the lake there are several options for paths. To the right, up a small incline is the 9/11 walkway. Trees, benches and signages were placed here 20 years ago to commemorate the victims at the North and South Towers of the World Trade Centre in New York City. Continue along and take another right to the roadway that leads you back to the parking lot. This is a lovely outing for families and some people pack a picnic, but limited picnic tables. I would recommend this venue, for all ages, but particularly for young families.
My daughter loved it here and the park is great!!
A place for children to play. A lovely walk to take, as it is not too far for anyone with the woods, pond, lake and the forest all in one. A unique place to visit if you are in the area.
Great for kids
Great park. Kids loved it
Big new playground is good for kids
Its always a nice walk but it's super disappointing that the animals aren't out and that the park is all blocked off!
Beautiful petting zoo and a really nice park. Great scenery by the lake
Really enjoyed it, so thank ful to have a place like this to visit and enjoy.
I go at least once a week with my Yorkshire Terrier we walk along the lake and the 9/11 memorial trail. The path through the woods and along the ponds have lots of ducks and geese!
Went out dor Pumpkinville celebration. Very busy but excellent experience.
Nice to see the llamas
Havent been there for a couple of years It looks very well kept compared to the last time I was there And the duck pond looked wonderful The only downfall was where the picnic tables were they need to put wood chips or something to soak up water after a rainfall so it's not full of mud around them
Great, well maintained park. The animals looked happy as can be.
Fantastic place. Cute animals and a bathroom!
Its was ossum. No parking fee. No visiting fee. My kids love this farm
I wanted to pet the animals. I do understand that for insurance purposes its cannot be done. It was clean animals well fed.
Great views of the lake at back of park
Pleasant place to visit. Nice peaceful stroll by the lake.
Kids love it. The trails are well maintained
It's good that they changed most of the animals this year. My wife and I enjoy it though. ????
They should have a place where you could donate to the animals
Great place. So nice and clean.
Hadn't been here for over 30 years when my own children were toddlers. Rediscovered Happy Rolf's thanks to our grandchildren. A beautiful, peaceful place to picnic, take a stroll along the duck and goose filled ponds, listen to the waves pounding the rocks along Lake Ontario, 'forest bathe' in two sections of woods, enjoy the farm animals, and just enjoy one of our many natural attractions in St Catharines. One of the paths takes you through a stand of trees, each one dedicated to a Canadian or a person with connections to Canada, who perished in the world trade towers on 9/11. There is a wonderful, safe and large play area for children (with an addition in the final stages of completion) and full service bathrooms. Wheelchair friendly. Check website for seasonal hours.
Beautiful place to visit. Always clean!
Very cute place to being the kids. Great park, nice trails and a cute assortment of animals to see. Plenty of picnic tables to sit and eat at if you choose. Good place to spend some time with the family.
Very beautiful
We haven't been for a very long time as we just moved back to town. We were quite pleased to be back to see the animals. The 9 11 trail that has been added was really nice too!
