REVIEWS OF Bronte Creek Provincial Park IN Burlington

Rachel McKenna

It's nice enough but the barn is shut down so if you're coming from out of town you won't know until you're there as it's not on their site. Slightly disappointing but otherwise good experience

Andrew West

Great place to camp in the city, and not feel like you're in the city!

Blanca Vargas

If you want to go for a walk, run or just to relax, this is the place to go, we are very lucky to live within walking distance of this beautiful park!!

László Sárközi

Really nice place, not too busy and easy to park.

Deborah Doucette

Trail & hill running at its best! Expansive, amenities abound & varied terrain.

Lindsay Lam

Clean pool for the amount of children. Excellent trails, cute animals, and a neat Victorian home to visit. Very quiet, with lots of tables to eat and bbq. Well maintained. A little bit expensive to access the park but it is worth it

Chris Gregory

Bronte Provincial park is awful. I only stayed for 1 hour. It's $18 to enter for the day. The park is not kept well at all. Grass is unkept..weeds everywhere and dead trees all over the place. This provincial park needs some serious work. There needs to be a complete overhaul. It's an additional $4 to enter the pool area and it's riddled with weeds and a pool that needs to be better maintained. Stay away! If you want some fun in the sun head down to the Burlington beach. It's a way better time and more scenic. It's beyond natural habitat as the response details. It's lack of care and effort. The pool area needs WEEDS removed and for regular upkeep. Like painting and cleaning. Everything at provincial parks should be well maintained with proper upkeep.....this one is a disaster.

Susan

I love the trails in this beautiful park. Also the farm was interesting too

House of Michelle

Walking alone the bronte creek on a sunny afternoon is an amazing relax. Trees at both sides of the creek are just the right color. Unfortunately I still can not find the proper site to picture them.

Christien Yan

Beautiful place with colorful leaves

Patrick Lee

Every Saturday morning, come rain or shine, any season, I'll take my bike out there and ride. Some very nice easy trails for riders of any level. For me, it's just a time to get out theree and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Take a trip there whether by car or bike or walk and absorb your surroundings. There's not very many places you can go that's right in the heart of the city of Burlington and Oakville!

Demi

I loved the Gnome Trail and the Farmhouse!

Vaibhav Shourie

Lovely place, good for walks and hikes with doggos.

Erika Pelletier

Nice park and trails to enjoy.

David Spencer

Excellent disc golf as well as all the other stuff.

Jeff Catania

A beautiful and large tract of nature but the day use for a car is so costly: perhaps a more remote lot for hikers and bikers?

True Adventure

This is a great park but normally you have to pay for admission. I understand it's free from Monday to Thursdays now but you might double check before you head over. Also nice picnic area with places for garbage and hot BBQ ashes. Also the park has an off leash area for dog walking.

I've stayed at this campground from the day it opens in April to the very last day it closes in october for the past 2 years. No it doesn't have water or sewer hook ups but if you plan your site knowing where the facilities are there isn't any issues. The staff are very friendly and helpful and if you stay at the campground you get the day use area for free. Granted the pool is a few extra dollars but not a big deal. They always have activities for kids and it's right on the border of oakville and Burlington. That being said you need to realize that it's not a campground out in the middle of no where... if you want a campground that's in the middle of no where then look elsewhere. Deer and other creatures can be found in the campground from time to time as well. It's got wooded lots and open lots, all depends on what you prefer. Look online at the sites before you just randomly pick a site that you might regret later. The pro's outweigh the cons in my opinion, the price I pay per night is great. If your a veteran , senior or have a disability you can save 50% on your lot fees.... make sure you pay attention to this when booking.

Charlotte Xia

Fairy house hunting is the best part for all young kids. And a unbeatable view from the hill!

Mohit Ak

The park is really well maintained. Entry fee is $19.95. I am not sure if the management should consider decreasing the fee as access to the antique homes, camping and a few other activities are not allowed due to Covid.

A. Juma

Good park with nice area to enjoy a picnic with friends and family, the price was 18$ per vehicle no matter what time you arrive, and the park close at 9 pm sharp, also the swimming pool is closed this time round, but l must comment about the washrooms as they locked it earlier than 7.30pm to my surprise, knowing that the park closes at 9 pm this was unacceptable especially that the park in secluded area and visitors are paying for services in the entry fees $18

Lisa Butson

Great park! Loved all the hiking trails, huge park with lots of different things to see and do! Wish the park could figure out some sort of foot bridge/trail so you didn't have to drive to the day use part.

Magdalena Wozniak

Nice and big park! Lots of trails and beautiful views. Quite busy and parking lot D is closed.

Scott Raju

Very beautiful as to the area, great place to have a picnic small or bigger family's! A lot of information about the park and the family that lived there! Someone famous person from way in the past, animals and especially there are bathrooms!

Marya Kalen

A wonderful Oasis in the Middle of the bustling city. Clean, well maintained sites. Electricity only: no water hookups or sewers. Generally clean washrooms and showers, except on long weekends when the staff get a little overwhelmed. Inexpensive camping, especially with the seniors or disability discount. $ ranges from $23 - 46.

Bitbat

Place is pretty good both in the winter and the summer, with the winter having the maple syrup festival and the summer being an okay place to picnic. However, the pool is quite small and there is a ton of wasp nests at the park so bugspray is a must, especially when hiking the trails which are quite lovely in scenery.

Ian Jadczuk

It's very beautiful here with lots of nice trails to traverse

Amna Tayyab

We loved it, the picnic point is shady and quite, but because of Covid-19 swimming pool was closed.

Kiana Shabatura

Nice disk golf course! Be sure to send out a spotter for holes with more trees. They are in the middle of fixing up the tee pads.

Denesh Sohan

Was a great park. Lots of trees and trails for walking biking. Stream is close walk, but a bit steep path and there was stairs as well. Water was very warm, kids had a great time. Be careful though there is tick warning and hogweed as well.

MrPanga007 (Jaspreet Singh)

Very good place family picnic for birthday parties

Shadi

They get entrance fee with little or no service. The benches and barbecue areas are broken and not well maintained. Small number or no washrooms.

Taylor Grace Jackson

My family and I have been coming to Bronte to camp for 10 years now. We always have a great time! Great activities for the kids, and beautiful area to hike and walk your dogs! ????

hamzacrimson7

Amazing park with a large area to picnic, hang out and bring kids. Also has some animals like goats, cows chickens, bunnies. Just for kids to have some fun. Overall a giant fun park.

Allan McLean

This is the 3rd Park we've been to in 3 years. Not sure if it was Ontario Parks cut backs or the Park itself, but nothing was very clean. They only came by once a day to clean, and not several times a day like we've been used too in other parks. The camp sites themselves offered little privacy. For most, only grass walls separate them. You can see and hear your neighbours. Luckily, I had Site 416 and it was by far the best with trees and tucked into a bend in the road. We had the most amount of privacy you could get, but again, we could see and hear all our neighbours. The City noise came into the park and killed the illusion of the camping in the woods. At around 5 pm till 8 pm Jets and other planes came in over the park to land at a nearby airport. There is also a large EMS/Fire Station near the park and you can hear the sirens day/night. The one good thing was the pool, but you have to leave the park, take the QEW and get off on the next exit just to use the pool. They didn't have a path/trail between the two halves of the Park. And it takes 15 min each way. Staff were friendly and helpful, but that is Ontario Parks standard. And as the general store has to compete with the local malls just outside the park they didn't carry much. I can only recommend this park if you live in the area and want to take the kids for their 1st camping trip and are worried they'll tap out on the first night. If you want to get away from it all, go somewhere else.

M Jisri

Very nice provincial park with animals farm. Great experience for kids to see or even sometimes feed some animals. Good hike to the creek starts at the very end of area F.

Weranga Perera

One of the best place to camping. Specially with kids. Got electricity suppy and washrooms.

Debajyoti Chanda

Green and a place for full exploration!! So many trails and so many possibilities. Don’t miss the Gnome garden. You may get lucky and see some deers crossing your path . Trillium trail is excellent and gives a cool view of the ravine. Picnic spots are awesome and perfect for family time. Pick your bike/ leg and be there.

Simon Howe

This is a beautiful provincial park. The cities of Oakville and Burlington are growing up on either side. As a Burlington resident I love bringing my family here. Great hikes, scenery, and activities for little kids

David Blakey

Beautiful forest trails. A great place to decompress after a day at work. Great for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Take the trail down to the creek and marvel at the surroundings. On your journey you may come across the resident family of white tailed deers. Swim in the 2 acre outdoor pool, have a game of disc golf. In the winter, cross country ski and stop by for a hot chocolate at the outdoor skating rink. A must gor young kids is a stop at the play barn. Good times offered to everyone at Bronte Provincial Park.

Vicky Gagnon

Surprising place considering you are near from Toronto! Loved the place, it's quiet, friendly staff, showers are great and clean. Feels like you are really in the woods but in the middle of a suburban. From my tent site, I didn't hear much the hwy. It is dog friendly, which I really appreciated. I will return for sure!

Tasneem A

Beautiful park. Visited for a short while in the evening. There's a place for tobogganing, a snowshoe trail, and other activities available.

Edith VB

Its clean , beautiful, but that's too bad that the pool was close because of the COVID-19. We went to à near beach 15 min. But otherwise its worth to come to this Park.

Debbie Harper

Nice park. Clean washrooms!

Joao Donato

Beautiful trails filled with trees and an OK campground. Kids can have fun by feeding the turkeys

Ali Kim

Nice campsites. Priced fairly. Enough privacy. Just too close to some houses so that might not feel like "real camping". But if you have access to a bathroom, hot water and all that, its all not real camping anyway.

Sara Scurfield

Underwhelmed. It was almost $20 and there wasn't much to it. There are better free trails. The gnome path was cute and the kids liked the chickens and bunnies but wasn't really worth the drive in my opinion.

Blue theguy

A nice park with a fair entry fee. The trails are easy to hike and to bike. People are all friendly and nearby to a few hotels, will 100% return

Fatimah Mie

So peaceful ???? and secured...im enjoying the place..

Daniel Rankin

A step back in time into the 1800s when agriculture thrived. Very spacious. Hiking trails. Biking. Kids will love seeing the farm animals. Majestic place all year round. You can walk or bike in for free, but cars pay.

Jamshid R

One of the best trails...Lots of greenery...Good for biking too

Truong Vu

Such a beautiful park with so many different things to see. Great time to go for a hike along the creek to see the colours and salmon run.

Python Mocky

The best BBQ, Hiking, bike trail, Swimming etc place you can visit. First off, insects ruin walks and are really annoying, in this provincial park, bugs are rarely encountered.staff keeps the washrooms clean and inspect the whole park every 15 - 25 mins. I come here every summer and enjoy this park for what it offers, it has a frisbee field with frisbee nets, incredible.

Gary Magsano

Good spot for a picnic since there is a lot of space. Washrooms are clean. The only thing missing is a body of water.

Doug Bennison

Great camp spot, beautiful and quiet, amazing offleash area right by the entrance that leads you to a beautiful river at the base of a stunning valley. Showers are free bathrooms are well maintained and updated ????

Olaf Alders

Getting to be a bit run down but the pool is still great fun and lots of nice trails. Watch out for dogs on the East side of the park. I was bitten bloody *outside* of the off leash area. Many dog owners treat it as a de facto dog park in the off season when it isn't staffed. Enter at your own risk.

Travel and Life

Went to Bronte Creek Provincial Park to take some footage for my YouTube channel. The park is nestled right in the city and has plenty of things to do. There is a barn with horses, cows, sheep etc. There are lots of space for picnic, fishing and of course plenty of hiking trails. Campsites are available as well. Every year around end of September salmon crossing can be seen in the creek and it provides a great opportunity for fishing. If you want to access the creek faster, I’d recommend that you park at the F parking lot which is all the way at the end and follow the Half Moon Trail. If you are arriving via QEW westbound, make sure to exit on Burloak drive and turn right(north). The park entrance will be on your right. Park fees are applicable.

Chris&Angela Brown

Wasn't sure what to expect when we pulled into the park this weekend. As strange as it sounds the first thing I thought was " wow nice clean heated bathrooms" which was a huge plus since it was cold out before we started to run....so many cool features in this park.....this beautiful space but you could see city of Burlington to your left....I loved half moon trail???? ....looking over the water, challenging but so peaceful...A Victorian farm....chickens I could feed and a pool so huge I could not believe it. We went in Nov ,these weren't options but a draw to come back......loved the grassy steep hills and wow! A gnome garden in the middle of the woods....my new favorite south western Ontario provincial park. Cannot wait to go back

Jennifer Agombar

We did some tent-camping at Bronte for the first time and we fell in love with this little getaway in the GTA! Nice private camping lots, friendly people, amenities not far. My only 'complaint' is the directional signs are small and not super clear how to get to the camping. Access to water wasn't close but not super far so more of a suggestion to perhaps have a few more readily available taps.

Whitney Redman

Adequate privacy, clean bathrooms, staff were friendly. The campground gets a bit of traffic from people visiting the dogpark but is an otherwise peaceful place. Beware of spiders in the campsites in the forested area!

Puleen Patel

Loved my first camp out with kids.

Sasha Gomes

The whole park is extremely clean, well tended to, and there's something for everyone to do here! Also love the cute animals!

Lucas Selwyn

There was so many different pieces of greenery, even though when I went all of the facilities were closed due to COVID-19, it’s still a great place to go!

Silpa Saji

Good place to have a peaceful walk and for some good fall colours

Marcin Sobczyk

A lot of room for all activities. Nice and long bike trails, playgrounds for kids. Awesome.

Ugo Troccoli

One of the best parks in the area with lots of nature trails and farm animals.

Sarah-Anne Smurlick

A typical Ontario Provincial Park, thought it is now in the city, with a subdivision outside the gate and along property line. Could use more sites for "big" rigs. On the other hand they offer Learn to camp (tent) program. Rv pads aren't all level left to right. The park has a great leash free dog walking trail.

Ashley Tovey

Campground staff was friendly and helpful. Campsite was clean and we'll maintained.

Jessica Grace

Basic, clean campsites and facilities. Not much to do here beyond camp, which is what we were there for anyways. Clean washrooms! We got a site right by one of the comfort stations, and it didn't smell at all! What a relief that was! Will be back!

Pradip Ghimire

Interesting park as it is in the middle of the town... nice one to stay and go around Niagara Falls or African Lion Safari while camping here

Matt Perry

The camping at Bronte Creek is so close to home but a world away! Great facilities that are well maintained by friendly and competent parks personnel make for wonderful stays. The leash free park and trails is huge and a fan favorite. This is an amazing resource in the heart of the GTA.

Rad Sin

We've visit a lot of parks and conservation area. Bronte creek just made it to the bottom of my list. It may be good for picnics but not for hiking. The trails are not clearly marked, no blazes to be seen and the trails are all flat and gravel surface. Not exactly "being close to nature". The cost was the most expensive one I've encountered so far, unless you pack your car with 5 - 10 people, it's not worth getting in. Surprising that this park has 'provincial' status. Responding to your comment on my review here: the tone of your comment is exactly the experience we've had on your trails. I DID pay the $18 to get in and parked legally. Would you like me to send you the receipt as proof? I DID get the booklet with the map that was insufficient for directions. The trails are NOT clearly marked to match the map. Why don't you take a hike in a conservation area where you will pay only $13 dollars per car and educate yourself on what blazes look like. I find your accusations disgusting from a customer point of view. You are obviously incable of taking feedback unless it's all positive. Further I would be reporting my review AND your response directly to Ontario Parks and Parks Canada. Hopefully they will provide you with some much needed training.

Taruni Tyagi

Beautiful place for walks even in December....

Greg Penny

Seriously $18.00 to take my dog to the leash free zone, free everywhere else.

Pratik Patel

Well maintained big outdoor pool - 100% worth it.

Stephen Lue

Great fun for kids. A huge wading pool with life jackets if needed, a barn that's been converted into a playground, and a very small petting zoo. $17 per vehicle to enter the park. Pool admission $3.75/adult $2.75/youth. Barn playground $FREE.

Michael van Schalkwyk

Really great park, lots to do. We can't wait until the park opens up after covid.

Tim Chase Photography

Simply breathtaking. 10 Stars. First time at Bronte Creek Provincial Park and I couldn't get enough of the park. Up one trail down another and the views simply amazing. Every path and every trail truly outstanding. Take a map of the area or use Google maps to get the best views of every area. The Ravine outlook, the trails down to Bronte Creek worth the trip. Great for all ages, hikers, runners, bikes. Even animals to see, goats, chickens, rabbits, peacock. Dogs allowed but must be kept on a leash and our little pup was amazed seeing the animals. Never ever seen rabbits or chickens. You won't be disappointed by this park. I will return as I'm sure I overlooked 80% of the sights and we spent 3 hours walking. You will find really nice playground parks for the kids and nice equipment. Wood burning fire stoves that remind me of an open home fireplace. Not to be missed this park is truly amazing.

Joseph Carchesio

This park is great in the city with plenty to see and do. Parking is only $18 per car so carpooling is a good idea. There is lots of room for games like Ultimate Frisbee. The petting zoo is not busy for some reason. Which was nice to watch the animals. I was really surprised that it was quiet. The pool I’m sure is good too. The place is very clean and perfect for every outdoor activity.

Samantha Skanes

Beautiful day park! Lots to see and do

Wayne Rogers

Fantastic provincial park nestled in the middle of Oakville. An easy get away for city dwellers. Some sites are wide open and others and secluded. The staff at the front gate is very friendly and informative. Washroom facilities were amazingly clean.

Cruzer 250e

The park is massive & in the middle of the city! Gigantic pool, small petting zoo, a Victorian house to xplore (all closed due to covid). Large off leash dog park. Flush toilets & drinkable water throughout the park. Plenty of parking. Crowds, place is too big. You can be on your own. Lots of trails & the creek to explore. Only downside, they close @ 9pm.

Zafar Raza

Beautiful place with lots of areas to enjoy with family. Specially in pandemic you can still go there and enjoy while keeping a safe distance from others.

Maruschka Ollivierre-Higgins

We went to the pool on Saturday but none of the signs said where the pool was. When we arrived the attendant at the gate said the pool was 500 away from capacity and said nothing more. We assumed there would be clear signage. We had to turn back after driving out the entire park while calling around. We went back to gate and asked where the pool was and finally were told to park in Lot D and make our way down one of the paths. It was a good experience. Pool was too full to go in but there were some shady trees etc. on the surrounding grounds for setting up "camp". If you don't know if you're going to be able to secure a tree I suggest taking a tent or screen house or canopy etc. The washrooms were not well kept for a park and pool of this size. I would suggest getting in there early and securing a good spot before the crowds.

Chuck Harris

This park is the reason why we bought an annual parks pass. Loads of trails and a great place to decompress in the woods or grassy fields. Busy on the weekends but the park is large enough that you can still get away from it all without a worry of crowds.

C B

Absolutely had a great time. The park was very clean

Su Song

We love going to the barn with animals here with our kids! Currently there are goats, chickens, bunnies + a peacock. Make sure to ask for directions to the nearest parking lot.

Joe Dukes

There's a lot to do here which makes the park a perfect spot for a day trip or even an extended camping stay. There's several large parking areas spread throughout the park which is super convenient. I like the snowshoe trails in the winter and the disc golf course the rest of the year. The toboggan hill and pool are nice features as well. Check out the maple syrup festival in March!

Golden Rule

Bronte Creek Provincial Park is a great place to fresh-air-reconnoiter. The variety of trail and view types gives you diversity of options. There are many parks featuring greater power of presence of nature and more unique land formations and forest / river expression so 4 stars is fitting.

Jeff Todd

Great place for a quiet walk.

Mariam Sutarwala

Good park, very large with enough parking. Entrance was $18 however, none of the amenities were available for use so felt like a bit of a shortchange kind of situation. The kids play area needs a new setup, current one is rusted and super squeaky.

Melanie Streutker

Disappointed that the pool was closed "due to covid" when all other public outdoors pools are open in Ontario. The day park use is a separate entrance than the camping and you have to get on the 403 to get there. The park itself is fine. Nothing special. Check the sites ahead of time. Some have no shade. Bathrooms were cleaned 2x/day.

Giuseppe Moschetta

I am fortunate to live very close to the park. Every morning I see a beautiful landscape and often many animals in the wild.

Arpit Modi

Very clean and relatively large park within GTA. Campsites are of good size, 90% lawn, clean washrooms, good trails and very friendly staff.

Wendy Gray

What a great place to take your kids too! Out door play barn so much fun! Noam Road so cute... full of tiny houses for the kids to open doors and peep inside! Perfect for winter walking with kids! And the Maple Syrup festival coming up next month!!!!

Meggie H

Beautiful forest and quiet trails, good for hiking and biking

Kazim Akheel

4.5 star. Lots to see and do. High quality, but misses being a 5, just because its vast offerings aren't all perfect. Needs a complete day to be fully explored. Kids enjoyed the few animals that were accessible in the farm. Sheep, rabbits, cows and peacock. Hopped through its different parking lots to finally reach the stunning creekside trail, with its beautiful hanging trees. We went from Lot F to Lot A. The grass was better around F, than A. Spotted a few BBQs here and there, although Doug Ford hadn't allowed them yet. Friendly park staff. Washrooms were very well maintained. Giving it the full 5 stars to show my appreciation for the same.

Ares Chen

Don't go. Entry fee is insanely expensive.

Colin McSweeney

Great open spaces for family picnics. Washrooms are conveniently located.

Mattamas C

Huge park. Lots of different areas to go to. Picnic areas, barns, animals, trails, frisbee golf......

Shilpa

Maple Syrup festival is a must visit. You get to experience history and taste freshly made maple syrup, candy and many more fun activities. Guided tours are very informative. Dont forget to carry some change. Do try Fresh taffy. Happy spring everyone!

Raju Patel

Superb place for family camping.

nitin khandelwal

Its a great place to visit. We did a camp there for a day for the first time and it turned out to be great. Planning to go again for loger duration. In the camp site, if they could add.some kids play area that would be awesome.

Alla Toronto

Huge place, super clean property and bathrooms, suitable for any age and occasion..

Sukh Pabla

Good place for picnic and camping. Lots of trails for evening walks. Some attractions were closed because of Covid-19. $18 entry fee per car. Worth visiting with family and group of friends.

Oscar Jofre

Great park within the city. Lots of things to do with kids, biking barbecue playing in the creek

Latika Gupta

Super duper camping experience. Real clean washrooms and sites. No bugs the day we went. $54 for parking for campground (1 night). Go early so you can enjoy longer.

Gee Dee

It's a great place for hiking, camping, nature adventures. It's not just for grown ups but for the whole family with kids. You need car to go to point a to b if you have small kids or elderly with you because it's quite far to walk. All in all, it was a great experience for my whole family. Insect repellent and water will be your best friend here.

Peter Witruk

Surprisingly quiet park for camping. Great trails and an abundance of birds to watch...sometimes even a deer!

Anand Ashok

Great place for camping and trails

Shane McQueen

I spent a week here this summer and had a great time. I found all the park staff to be extremely cheerful and helpful. The campsites are well maintained. The shower area and bathrooms were kept clean. And best of all its centrally located so if you forgot something, no big deal. Just a short drive to all kinds of stores. I will definitely be back again.

Tapan Majumdar

4 km hike to the river, my 8yr old was able to do it and enjoyed the hike and a dip in the river. Enjoy the river or setup a camp and go fishing :)

Precious “The Precious Mama” Lesko

Loved that there was a barn, petting zoo, cows and horses PLUS beauitul trails along the water. Plenty of picnic tables. Lots of parking. Charcoal BBQs allowed. Re-entry is also allowed, which is convenient if you forgot something and need to run across the street to Tim Horton's or Petro Canada. Perhaps, a little too close to the QEW for me to camp there, but the campsites were on the other side. There's no access from here. So, I'm curious if it's further away and may be nice and quiet. Great experience overall. Will definitely return for a nice fall hike. :)

Jackie Chan

Nice dog leash free area.

Saleh Maoodhah

Been there camping three times, beautiful place.

kody A

Great place to take the kids for a nature walk or a hike. Lots of animals to feed, bring quarters for the pellets. Salmon run end of september / early october

Zain Abbas

Good park for picnic. Nice view and walking trails. Kids enjoyed the barn with farm animals.

Émilie Morin

Nice little secluded camp sites very close to town. Unfortunately you can still hear the highway at night. But the coyotes were still louder than the cars ;-). It is also convenient location.

Stephanie Stewart

Great option for a leash-free trail walk with my dog but for a proper 'hike' for me, it's a bit too open, flat, and groomed for my tastes and the traffic noises are a bit overwhelming. I'll try it again and try some of the other trails.

TanookiAlex

It's a great place to go for trails and sights. However, bring bug spray - bugs here are REALLY bad, especially the ticks. Parking was reasonable for a full day. I'd recommend taking kids to the indoor events, but avoid the tall grass. Good for photography as well.

ann “Thingirlamp” philip

Went for 1 night car camping..clean maintained trees, friendly staff, constant patrols, hot water bath, laundry, hydro at campsite..need I say more? ????

Dhrumit Prajapati

=Bronte Creek Ravine - 50 m (115 ft) deep =Family camping experience –from tents to large RV’s 1.8 acre outdoor pool =Five great hiking trails that showcase the natural beauty of the park =Children’s Farm with live farm animals =Turn-of-the century Spruce Lane Farm House (c.1899) =Disc Golf Course =Excellent interpretive programs - Maple Syrup Festival in March, Ghost Walks in August, Camper Halloween and Victorian Christmas in December =Tobogganing, cross-country skiing (weather permitting)

J T.

Been here a few times. Wish there was a second entrance from you know, Bronte... Would make sense since the place is called Bronte park... Clean parks. Lots of parking. Lots of picnic tables. Lots of shade. Great fun for large groups. Biggest drawback is the price. Wish they had half day rates (say you come after 2pm you get half off... Nope full rate).

office solution

Another jewel e found in Burlington/oakville A great place for a long walk , majestic old trees, a walk along the water of bronte creek, enjoy nature and birds

Katie DesLauriers

Wish we give a rating better than 5!! Bought a summer pass and literally have used it every day!! So much to do at Bronte Creek!! Hiking trails, Animals, Disc Golf Course, Leash Free Trail for dogs and so much more!! The day use area far exceeds any kind of expectations you could possibly have from an Ontario park. Keep up the great work as always!

Sachin J

Love this place. Huge parking lots so no more circling around for parking spots even during busy weekend. Lovely trails, lots of picnic areas, giant outdoor swimming pool, barns and petting farm ani.als for kids, an old preserved farm house etc. Perfect location for picnic.

Unicorn Ma

What a great place for kids and adults. Lots to do and see. The pool is the biggest pool I have ever been in. There are animals and barns, old houses to tour, a place to fly a kite. You can BBQ and have a pic knick. Bathrooms are very clean. Highly recommend.

Sakene Philip

We stayed for the night. It was a great experience to be with nature. They were patrolling at intervals in case anyone needed any help.Appreciate that. Each camp ground had running water tap and (hydro)charging station. Common restrooms were equipped with showers for men/women and a coin laundry. Play area for children, walking/cycling trails.

Jeffrey Hannaford (Jeff)

Great time good place to bring the can't for the day make a picnic out of it see some farm animals even fees and put some of them I recommend checking out Bronte provincial park $18 dollars per car to get in!

Sabine Frisch

So beautiful! The leash free areas for you and your dog are fantastic

Peter Goldsworthy

An excellent provincial park with two farms within the voundaries. One is the original Victorian farm with animals, and interpreters, the other is a kids farm with animals.

Deepak C J

You can spend a day hiking around the trails, picnicking, camping. A place to watch farm animals for the kids to experience as well

Kat Bee

Great place for a nature walk!

Mathew Daniels

$18.00 per car for day use. Basically nothing is open. If you're going to play Frisbee golf, or walk the trails, that's it.

Evy

There are now leaves of various colours in this park. A good place to walk lightly! 18$ entry fee per car, but all of attractions are closed!

Doug D.

Great place for the kids.Convenient location to the city and amenities. Awesome swimming pool, however a little expensive. Good camping and picnic grounds. Go there quite often. Will continue to.

Mike Cauterman

Many people don't know about the camping at Bronte Creek Prov Park. Excellent. Nice sites, private, clean. We went there for the weekend early this year to test out our camper. Love the bike and walking trails. If you want to see the other side of the park (West of the river) you will need to drive there.

Dan

This is the best place to take hikes in Oakville. Its quite large at ~1500 acres and full of trails providing unique and spectacular scenery you won't find anywhere else in Oakville.

Gerhard Smit

Well maintained, lots to do for kids, nice walking trails for strollers.

J White

Beautiful park and nice paths

Fred B

Good place to hiking. No far away from Toronto. Kind of noise because the QEW

Balu Baby

A good place for a picnic. Stroller friendly trails. There's a farm and lots of tables to hang out. Enough areas for activities. Pool is closed currently. Overall a fun place.

Connie Scott

I love taking my dog here just about everyday after work. Get yourself an Ontario Parks Day pass, it pays for itself in no time!

Brendan McNulty

Bang for the buck. One admission per car gets the whole carload in. Tonnes to do. Play barn. Live stock. Nature trails the creek. Park Ranger programs and activities leash free section in the park. Certain events have stuff to purchase, usually food n such.

Roger D

It was fun walk today . Not the best when I compare to other parks. They could plant more trees and also have better directions mentioned instead of handing pamphlets to save paper.

Meena Kathyaini

Brilliant trek for a fall day.????

C. S.

The animal farm was tiny with only three goats and two bunnies, and the view wasn't nearly as good as I expected.

Ilham Aldusouki

Since we moved to Markham this park is the best place to have walk, relax and see nice views. Amazing place for family walk and biking, it is also accessible place for who use with wheelchairs or have strollers

Radhika Rego

Great place for a daytrip. Shaded trails and not too many inclines

Dario Zgrablic

Great provincial park! The disc golf course is fantastic!

Robert Saka

This park is one of my favorite places to go to enjoy the scenery and relax with my family. As an avid bird watcher I've seen many different types of birds that you just usually don't see anywhere else. There are plenty of great photo opportunities along the well-groomed walking and hiking trails.

Torsten Burgers

Nice Park to go to. Just wish people were a little more cautious and wearing masked when they pass each other on small pathways.

Collette Lamonday

Great place near the city. Lots of trails and space, nothing open of course but still a nice place to spend the day. Fall colours are just starting

Rosy Kumar

Very nice! It's really big but we ended up starting wherever was open during the winter. We took a trail that eventually led us to the cows and a really nice bird watching area. Highly recommend. We plan on going back to do the other trials!

Dani Dickinson

Lots of different paths to explore, well maintained and safe.

Ilona Chodnicka

Flat trail, a creek, park on the street.

umesh govinda

Very badly mapped. No proper sign boards and directions. All you see is parking lot A, B, C, etc. And you are lost completely. Was a frustrating experience for almost everybody. Nobody had a clue where to go and what to do. Everybody was asking everybody else and none had a clue. The pool is big and cold. Even a 90 year old on a wheelchair was asked to pay an entrance fee.

E Smith

My family has been camping in Bronte Creek camp ground for many years. It's a nice camp ground with clean washroom and shower. The only thing I don't like is new houses keep building around that area....

Chi Lin Liu

Very clean and quiet park. Lots of fun trails to choose from. Great place to bring your dog!

Jen Brodie

This is a great park for city folk. Beware that some sites have no shade which isn't great for tents... And one weird thing... Every bathroom had toilet paper dispensers that were super far from the toilet. Super weird. Overall good for a short trip away.

william mcknight

Trails to hike or ride, dog park, playground for kids, fishing!

Calvin Pettinger

I only ever go to Bronte for disc golf, but I try to make it out as often as I can. Great course for the area. Bring a few friends in one car, since entry to the park is charged by the carload.

Ohmz i

Nice escape from town. Properly carved and maintained trail. Huge Leash free zone for dogs to roam. Oh and Forgot the mention the beautiful view of creek from hill.

Brian Roberts

Great park! Lots of trails and things to do. One of our faves! We buy a summer pass every year now just for the amazing off leash area alone. Well worth the money.

Herman Anker

Nice grassy Forrest area for picnics etc. But $18 entrance for myself with a car was steep, bring your extended family in a van to make it worth while

Yonatan Maimon

We went for the maple syrup festival where they have activities for children. You can see in the photos I have attached all the activities they have. To get to the festival drive all the way till the end of the park. Parcking lot F. Take in consideration that it could be muddy dependent on the weather of course. On and all we enjoyed the day and the activities there. We love maple!

Carmen D (DC)

Weather was a bit rainy but the trails were scenic and lush green. Loved the 'back to nature' feel. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Better signage required though

Carolina Paredes

Amazing park to go on a nice trekking trip, very quiet on the walking trails, i did almost 8.5 km and we didn't finish all park during our walk, you get to part with nice river. I like it some areas free leash for the dogs to have lots of fun. Very clean camping areas. very nice to spend camping night or just to go for the day.

Matt Bielaski

Great place to enjoy the outdoors close to the city

Sheryl Jarvis

Store closed, once in park no where at that time to buy water, etc.. a staff directed us to a path close to the river but about 200 ft up and very steep.

Rajibul Mian

Beautiful place for family picnic...hiking..very close to the city. Waterpool might be the best attraction...missed that for covid. ... 18 dollar parking fee for the day ... Could be a hit cheaper....but happy to pay the amount as washroom facilities are very clean and well maintained grassland....

Tyrone Murphy

Great provincial park, that is conveniently located between Oakville and Burlington. Lots of things to do with the kids including a farm with a play barn. Great place to bike, hike, or just relax with the family. Highly recommended. Also has a great toboggan hill.

Katrina Caron

The person at the front was very nice and helpful!

David Burns

Its a very basic campground, on the setting of a river valley, which is rapidly being surrounded by urban sprawl. Its not a true escape into the wilderness, you won't even get a good view of the stars due to the light effect from the city. What you will get, is a well tendered campground with large sites that are mostly private; you'll get some decent walking trails of basic/beginner quality; and you'll get a very quick escape from the city. Good for families looking for a quick night or two away from home, especially with young kids. Good for people driving through southern ontario, and looking for a quick stop. And good for people just wanting to get away from the city, slow down, and enjoy a relaxing few days in a wilderness setting. PS You'll hear coyotes and owls, and you'll see deer and eagles along with lots of smaller wild life.

Brian Fox

This review is based on the Maple syrup Festival held at Bronte Creek each year. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The paths were all mostly cleared for walking.

Waleed Khan

It’s not a bad place but very expensive to enter and the swimming pool is an additional cost on top of the entrance fee. They have a barn area but could do more in having animals and perhaps a petting area.

VJ

This is a nice little park with easy to do trails for everyone. Fall colours are nicely visible given the right timing. Great for a simple day trip from Toronto. There's plenty of parking and picnic spots as well and the trail maps they provide are very useful.

Susana Hernandez

Amazing Park! Great for a walk or nice bike ride. Beautiful trees along the trails.

1 S

Nice place and nice scenery! Didn't expect to pay. But its $17 per car! Beautiful mountain bike trails and hiking trails! Some are intermediate and some are advanced! The place is a beauty and it has a nice farm to visit that shows the life of old farmers. Great for kids.

Shrikant Potnis

Bronte Creek Park is great park near to our home and I love it very much to visit through its interior small road covered with trees.

Mag M

Great place for hiding and seeing the fall colour! And dog friendly!!

Usman Nizam

Huge quiet park that has plenty of space for day use tenting, BBQ, trail hiking or cycling. Plenty of parking. Clean washrooms and constant patrolling

Torontodesigner 1986

Its a gem of a park...tons of trails, camp areas, pool, basketball court, farmhouse with sheep etc. Lots of parking lots too. Great areas to bike at...the trails go in and out of the forest areas.

Dave Warren

Awesome place for a hike. Watch out for steep and slippery hills in winter.

Majdy Abu snineh

Amazing natural place

Priyanka Varma

Amazing experience people of all ages can enjoy here so maany farm animals and trails are really big and well maintained will surely visit again

Rhonda Barron

I usually enjoying going there. I'm have been going there for 3 yrs. But recently I had a bad experience. I had my trialed parked there for 2 weeks. I was to pay but I didn't get in time to pay so they gave my spot away. I had a family emergency to I forgot to go pay. When I was almost there. They called to say that I had to move. That the spot was taking. So i had to move my trailer . When I got there the staff were not that friendly.

Ray

Worst provincial park out there, do not recommend.

Faras Mohan Dewal

great trails... plenty of snow and beautiful views

Helen Hodgkinson

This is a great place for hikers, cyclists and anyone with children. They have an old barn they've made into a play area for kids up to 10 years old and it's awesome. There are cows, goats, pigs, chickens and rabbits to see as well. Great provincial park.

Alifuzzaman A H M

Easy hikes and easy trail walking available. There is an entry fee of $18 per car.

Sarbajit Mitra

Fantastic off leash area

Kevin J Smith (DU Smithy)

There are some great running and mountain biking trails on this side of Bronte Creek Provincial Park. They are accessible from a few different locations with one following the creek along the top of the valley with good views.

PP in Canada

The trail is like a maze, and the view is just okay. Kinda crowded. This park is really not for me.

Diana Fa

Huge park, great for long walks. A lot of greenery. Not much water except for their outdoor pool which was closed this year but I have been before. Lots of fun!

Jonathan Kelso

Incredibly lucky to have this amenity close by. Great place to spend a few hours in nature.

Ultra Eh

Now Bronte Creek Park is a very great place to be, very lovely air and many things to do, the red barn is my favourite though, so many good memories, like beating everyone in hide and seek and getting asked if I was a boy or a girl, many lovely animals to see and everyone of all ages can enjoy going there. Bronte Creek was my childhood. One time I was eating here with my grandparents and my sister and I was eating a jelly sandwich and then wasps just full on swarmed us, it was very funny.

Jeff Crowder

Great place. Easy to see coyotes and deer at the right times of day.

Allen Teska

Great child friendly pool with gradual incline. You can pretty much bring anything you can wheel into the pool area which makes for convienient drinks and meals. Always lots of activities in the barn and for maple syrup and car lovers

William Yao

Beautiful park in the fall. Wonderful scenery, and trails are very walkable

Shoaib Alam

Park roads specially leading to parking lot A is pretty horrible. Parking lot area is also not even

Evan Gasco [Student]

I really enjoy this park. Nice staff, good walking and biking trails, good camping, very enjoyable time. Highly recommeded

Rolando Tecson

This park is a wonderful get away from the "city" life of Burlington. It's not like say Algonquin park with dense forests and a remote escape but it's more prairies and fields which has a beauty in all its own and perfect for sun and breeze. There are several trails here but the catch is that Bronte creek splits the park into day - use and camp ground. You cannot cross over to one side or the other without a car and it is about a 5 minute drive. There is a huge 1.8 acre public pool with good facilities and picnic area at its entrance. There is plenty of parking but limited areas to park bikes if you plan on biking in. There are also two farms and a really great nature centre for kids and even several play grounds. As well as a radio controlled plane area for RC enthusiasts. Its well worth a day visit or a camping stay, you just need to plan accordingly if you want to camp on-site and make full use of the facilities on the other side of the creek.

Ash Allsop

Bronte Creek is great, it has hiking paths, walking paths, various locations to explore for children and there are also several areas that feature cows that are friendly. If you mountain bike there is an enjoyable mostly easy ride that is a few kilometers near the dog area(s) [Including an Off-Leash section]. Across Dundas the mountain bike paths continue but they get much, much more difficult and take you dangerously close to the edge of cliffs / mountains are several locations. The park is really clean, it's good for Dogs, Hiking, Walking, Mountain Biking, Picnics, Fires (Several picnic areas have fire ovens to use) and photography.

Michael Chu

Great spot to take the family for done exploration and trails.

Michael Vlasov

This is our favourite park so far. It offers lots of space for bike riding, picnicking, walking and having fun with the family.

Nataliia Ivashko

Good place for an evening walk with kids, it is allowed to pet and feed the farm sheep there.

Bart Lissenburg

Grat park with nice spots. Not a 5 star rating because there wasnt any staf.

Bruno Polewski

Nice trails, play barn, farm animals, and leash free dog areas.

Jennifer Lamoureux

Great hike to see the salmon run

beanca murray

Amazing place. We got to see deer, tadpoles, frogs, plus all the farm animals.

saeed Khan

Nice and clean park and fit small kids and family members

Chernyshov Yuriy

One of my best park to visit! There are plces for Kids, excellent Bronte Creek and many seasonal activities. We love to visit this place.

Simply Alaa

Beautiful park, loved the turkeys and the pigs at the barn. Walked on the half moon trail and experienced a fantastic view of the river!

Sahil Saini

This was our first time camping, and it was the best experience of my life! We went a family of 6, with grandparents and kids. Clean washrooms, awesome, polite staff. I will definitely be coming back!

Phil Damecour

Not sure why they charge $17 admission. City money grab I gather. Not much there, much nicer places with better places for events and better play areas for the kids in Oakville that do not charge entrance fees. I went for a party. Never again.

Doug Levesque

Fun walk with our dog

Sonja Black

Beautiful and clean trails! Expensive parking.

Abu N

During the Covid season a few of the amenities were closed, but the parking price remained the same. With that being said, the park is large and very clean, with plenty of parking and picnic tables available. The washrooms were extremely clean and all the park rangers were very professional and polite.

Peagirl R

Excellent place to spend the day. The barn with a indoor and outdoor playplace plus some animals. We spend the day at the pool and the evening at the barn. The kids love it. Lots of trails to enjoy a long walk. Washrooms are clean. There is a drinking water fountain near the barn and also at the pool entrance.

john taylor

Went for a family picnic. All pools are closed due to COVID. It's more of a park for older people to play Bacci Ball and hang out playing cards in the shade. If you bring kids, please make sure you bring lots for them to do as this is a park geared for family BBQ's and older people games. Nice, clean park however, not very full due to COVID and the closure of the pool. I think if I was 80 yrs old I would have given 4 or 5 stars, but I've got 3 young teenagers so keeping them busy and having fun was a bit of a challenge. We played football and the park crews didn't give us trouble for gathering more than 10 people. I had fun but theres better parks in this area. I think the 80 yr olds who booked it wanted a quiet place and they were very happy about this park. I want to stress its very clean and well kept.

Kanchan Tripathi

Great park right in the city so easy access to everything. Good cell connectivity and comfort stations were quite clean

Sameem M

We only accessed the pool area so this review is only focused on that. Glad to see life guards on duty at all times from all towers. Water was reasonably clean but not the cleanest. Entry to the park fees don't include the Pool area. Not much shade available. Signs said no umberllas allowed but saw few around. Plenty of parking space but a 5 minutes walk to pool on gravel path. I don't think the pool was heated so temperature fluctuates with weather. Deepest point is 6 feet with plenty of shallow areas. Overall a good spot for kids to cool down in hot Summer days. Make sure you are well prepared for if. Posting pictures that are not online already.

Chris Watson

Great spot for a quick camping trip.

Asim Gilani

Nice green and wide park. Ideal for Family Barbeque

Rhonda R

Been camping here every summer for the last several years. Always clean and family friendly. The hiking trails are amazing.

Paul Bonenfant

Although there are limited things to do at this park (e.g. no beach), it is a nice park for a getaway. Located in an urban setting, it still has that back-to-nature feel. There are a variety of campsites many with good size and privacy.

Mida Gouveia (Mida)

Not worth the $20 dollar to get in during peak hours. Still a nice place to hike and walk through. Plenty of variety in the scenery and nature. I just don't think that it's worth $20 dollars to go

Sonika Sharma

Beautiful trails for hiking along with a bunch of nice picnic spots.

Brianne Saed

Though sad the pool was closed this year, this was an awesome place to stay to avoid the costs of Niagara falls camping/hotel prices. + Made memories!

Daniel Paul

Beautiful

Andrew A

We are absolutely happy to live near this park. At any time of the year, this is a great place for walking or cycling. Our son loves to feed pets on a small farm. Wonderful friendly staff.

Ruurd Offringa

A nice park with plenty to do for kids, good picnic areas, and some nice shorter walks. You do hear the sound of vehicle traffic as you're close to major roadways, but it's not too bad. The cost: $17 per vehicle. Makes it a special treat destination and not a regular destination.

Ashraf Rahmani

This park is wonderful for friends and family gatherings. It has an outdoor pool, five great hiking trails, Bronte Creek Ravine, a farm house with live farm animals interesting for children, and disk golf course. You can have camping experience (tents to large RV's). The 2 campground stations are equipped with water, flush toilets, showers and coin laundry machines. There are 11 picnic shelters with lot of picnic tables and large charcoal BBQ grills. The entrance fee is $17 per car and you don't pay per person. The day-use area has 9 stations with running water anf flush toilets.

Heather Valentino

What a beautiful park and trails!!

Darryl

As a day use park, we live close by and our daughter loves coming here, for the past four years we have purchased the yearly pass. As far as amenities they have a large barn with the indoor playground as well as a large outdoor pool (This does cost extra -- Would be nice if there was a discount for non swimming parents, but I understand that would be hard to manage) some older houses and many farm animals and trails. Bronte Creek regularly has special large and small events going on that keep my daughter entertained throughout the year and not feeling bored (Check the "friends of Bronte Creek" web page, they have a calendar) As far as hiking and the like, we aren't really into that, so less of an issue for us, but we still have been on the trails with a larger sized stroller which was relaxing for us. Hosting a party here was cost prohibitive for us, because there was no large group discount, each guests car would be forced to pay the $20 fee to get in and park, and some rental locations don't have power (these are listed, so not a surprise), additionally, sound systems are prohibited. (On the "Friends of Bronte Creek" page, they have a Picnicking/Shelter Rentals section with more information. You might want to also find out exactly what constitutes a "sound system" if you are planning on bringing in your own music for said party.) Some time ago I did have a concern about bringing in a 6V electric ride on toy for my daughter to play on. I wanted to do the right thing, so I called, and at first, they tried to classify the toy as an ATV, after some discussion, they did allow us to bring it, but we only ended up using it in the parking lot because 6V. It would be helpful to other patrons if they had some guidelines around ride on toys (Any ride on toy that's unmodified, equal to, or less than 12V, has plastic tires, not more than N KM/h etc)

Vaibhav Kadam

Excellent place, good for walking and nature trails

Demetrios Manos

Came here for disc golf. Pretty cool course with a mix of trees and gullies.

Basmah laiq

Very nice and quite park with lots of trails also in the middle of the city. Go early and enjoy. There are lots of trails but the only problem is there is not quite alot of maps/ direction in the park so always carry a map..

Manish Jauhari

Fun place to hike even in winters and amidst snowy weather... There's a hill for snow sledding, a farm that has cows, sheep and turkey to keep the little ones busy and amused.

Supreet Malaviya

Nice park for a day visit with lots of area to sit down and enjoy nature. There's also a farm and barn at the end of the park where you can see and feed some livestock.

Unni James

I live close by and we bike there with kids to play and also to the farm area. And Yes the swimming pool is wonderful.

Jiny Song

Great hiking trails, campgrounds, farm, and pool. Pool is not open because of covid

Saamih Bashir

I camped with my family and friend's family over there for the week end. Our plan was to visit Toronto on Saturday and the African Lion Safari on Sunday and then drive back to Michigan. The sites are very private but not much trees. We had to drive every time we wanted to use the bathroom. If it was not the location between Toronto and Hamilton, I wouldnot have camped there.

Peter Cunningham

What a terrific place too take your dogs. I went with my mother today and we took each of our dogs. We passed by several people including many other dogs as well. There are numerous routes, paths and space for incredible exercise to take the energy out on your pup. I would like to warn the public that on some parts of some of the trails there are steep cliffs dropping well over a hundred feet into the 16 mile creek. I wouldn’t be keen on bringing young children whom aren’t good listeners on these specific trails. Aside from the warning which might scare people off, it shouldn’t, be smart, be careful and do your due diligence as a pet owner and get off the couch and take your incredible pet for the fun and exercise that it deserves.

Shane Bethlehem

A great spot to get away for a walk without having to drive too far. Lovely scenic trails that are usually quite quiet and a great location to take some photos too.

Mehwish Javaid

Great scenic place, very clean washrooms, a slide few swings. This is mainly great for trailing, cycling etc. There is a great picnic spot (picnic shelters), BBQ is allowed. Entry parking fees is 18 CAD per car for the full day for all family.

rajesh viswanathan

The park is good and that too within the city and the entrance is $18 which is cheaper compare to other areas.. have a children's play ground, small farm and an play area and an exhibit place. Lot of trails and good scenic views and we can enjoy the walk. There are plenty of picnic spots in the park. The fall colors are so beautiful in the park.

Steve

Such a great place to walk around, many path options and a very cute gnome village that people build on their own on one of the paths!

David Landry

Great outdoor winter activity spot. Had a great hike with being able to see a few farm animals :)

Grazyna Laszczewski

Great place to take my daily walks. 5.5km

Jeff Davies

An oasis nestled in between the highway and city. Long trails, paved trail, pool, fairy trail. Fireflies at night, playbarn so much to do and beautiful

Liz Viral City

Very nice trails, my kids have a very nice time at the farm ????

Michaela Shanahan

Awesome place for all..Missing the swimming pool...(has been closed for a couple seasons due to Covid)

Michael Schmidt (mjsoctober)

We love going to Bronte Creek! Play barn for kids, farm animals, learning centre, lots of open space for playing, forest tails for hiking. Large swimming pool, picnic areas, and more. Camping available at the east side of the park. DON'T USE THE POP MACHINES, THEY WILL EAT YOUR MONEY!

Jay s

Thanks Rad. I am currently looking at booking I camping trip and I understand your review, but their response was what is turning me off of the park. Bronte Creek management just lost my business. I will be booking somewhere else. In response: The facility is not the entire experience and poor management or stuck up staff can ruin one's vacation quickly. I personally was not offended by his review of your facility it was your comments and attitude that turned me off of booking I would not have been reading reviews had I not been interested in booking a site. I am aware of what your facility has to offer but acting like a child accusing somebody of probably stealing without knowing any facts doesn't sound like the type of people I would like to deal with.

Martin Rosen

Salmon were swimming upstream, leaves a brilliant red, lovely hikes, rustic farm with animals, and roasted marshmallows on a campfire. All within an hour of the city.

Shorty Goofy

We were here on Saturday, for those wondering with all this COVID-19 here is some info. The entrance fee was $18, we went to parking lot c which there was nobody there. The 6 washrooms that are in parking lot c had only 2 open one on each side. The barn and playgrounds were all closed. The pool wasn’t open either. Most of the picnic tables were all stacked against each other but there were a few on the floor spread out for people to use. Also the entrance closes at 6pm, the washrooms and gate close at 8pm. Update: just wanted to update and add some pictures. I just recently found out they have a gnome and fairy house trail. How cute is that! You can find the trail by going to the bunny coop and there will be a sign pointing in the direction the gnome road will be. Here a pictures of the houses we found

Marcus

I’ve been coming to the day-use part of this park for more than forty years. It feels like home to me. There are hiking paths, lots of forest, farmed fields, and large open spaces, and, of course, Bronte Creek, where you can watch salmon swimming upstream in the fall. There’s family stuff to do here, like the children’s barn, plus seasonal events, including the maple syrup festival in March, ghost walks in August, British car day in September, and Victorian Christmas in December. Lots of wildlife can be spotted: deer, coyote, wild salmon, bats, raccoons, skunks, fox squirrels, and just a dazzling assortment of songbirds in spring and summer (I’ve seen bluebirds, Baltimore orioles, blue jays, two types of woodpeckers, owls, grosbeaks, thrushes, nuthatches, cardinals, and even bobolinks). I can’t imagine not having this beautiful space.

Prachi Chiney

It is a nice park for a day trip from toronto.really nice bike trails and barnyard for kids to play and pet animals.lots and lots of picnic spots. There is a paid outdoor pool ,but we didn't use it. But the park entry fee of 17$ is a lot in my opinion.should be reduced to around 10-12.

Shaheer Shaaban (Sean)

Great camping grands. We enjoyed our first camping night last week there. The staff are helpful and supportive. We had an issue with the power plug at our site and they supported us by lending us a convertor. We are going again in 2 weeks. Can't compare it to other sites as this was our first camping trip.

Ramila Patel

Beautiful trail, very quiet and peaceful

Rashmy Lobo

Back to nature. Great place for kids. Farm animals to see are a treat! Trails are great. Easy to move. Dog park is good.

Faz I

Awesome place to spend the day with families and friends. Animals are there you can feed to them, take trail walks or just chill by the playground. Went on a trail filled with fairy houses, gnomes, and cute burd houses..cool place for kids

James Otterman

As of Father's Day Weekend No access to park from campground. Pool closed after driving over there. No real shade. Over zealous security. Could be good someday with allot more work but not there yet.

Jeff McConnell

Nice facility, if a bit on the chilly side for the water temp. Bring a great deal of sunscreen, and bring some shade. The park desperately needs to tree up a bit in order to keep kids sun safe.

Pooja Janmeja

Have been to this park before but the parking staff were very unhelpful, rude and arrogant! Yes we know it is 30degrees and summer but even with seniors in the car they were not allowed to be dropped at the pool! Either they are trained on customer service skills or they are hired for the right job! Very disappointing ! Yes the pool will be over crowded but manage better on a happy sunny day! Will ensure we tell all not to go!!

Keera N

Great place for a walk or bike ride!

KB Music & SFX

Wow large park overall. Camping ground has, water, power, fireplace with thick grill. Personally I liked it.

Sonia Chau

Unfortunately when we went in the winter, all the trails were completely iced over and were not maintained at all. It was like we were skating the whole time ???? We were very disappointed the trails were not maintained, considering we paid $18 just to get in. We also didn’t find any great lookout points either (the one lookout we came across had large branches blocking the view)

Manaf Hassan

One of the nicest place to hike or to camp inside a town of Oakville. Quite clean and well maintained . The walking and biking trails are really enjoyable. Fall is coming so the scenery will be breathtaking. The part east of Bronte (entrance from Bronte ) is camping site while the one west of Bronte ( entrance from Burloak) is for daily visitor.

Christine Thompson

Amazing camping facility, loved all the fun and educational activities for kids of all ages. Very clean and lots of shower facilities...pool is on the other side of the camping area but a short drive to a big lifeguarded pool! Very friendly staff everywhere we went ! Thank you from Ottawa !

Kiana Marino

Okay park. Staff not very knowledgeable of facilities. NO Trails were labeled with signage. Nothing really special about this park. Good park if you like being close to and across the street from a Tims. Would not visit or camp here personally again.

Art K

Large provincial park, located 30 km from Toronto. $17 entry fee per car for a day. There is a gigantic swimming pool in the middle. Side roads are in the terrible condition, parking is unpaved as well. Food is available but costly and mediocre in quality. Good enough to spend a day with family if you dont want to travel far.

Kenneth Owen

Fun place to go for a walk. Lots of paths. Plenty of parking.

Suneel Sharma

Well maintained. Always put on family friendly events. A little pricey otherwise would visit more often.

Joshua Joiner (Disorderlycone)

Well enjoyed by our family who was having a birthday party. Permits are needed for the pavilions but the park it self is nice with the family areas being for the most part clean and bathrooms being a 5/10. Its not a real farm but I can't say we didn't have fun.

Lovely park! Highly recommended.

luther ngai

Great dog park and year around park.

Alex Furman

Huge park with a lot of things to do. Good picnic sites. Great kids programs. Play barn for kids. Domestic animals. Hiking trails. Open year around. Big outdoor pool open in summer (admission is extra).

Lolita Gito

Very nice and big park. Clean and lots of trail to walk. Washroom clean.

Mario Mendes

The first thing is that I agree with the others in saying that $18.00 admission is way excessive and not justified. In particular now when most of the attractions like the pool and animal farm are closed due to covid. I also notice that the grass was not cut and was very high. The washroom was closed 20 minutes before park closing and on the way out there was a staff member telling us to move as it was past closing. He was also pointing at his watch too. I was there with four other vehicles who also paid the $18.00 fee. My family has been going for years but this will be the last time! This park has deteriated in the last few years.

Allison Nott

Great way to spend a Sunday with the family.

Lindie Weston

This park is absolute crap. $17 dollars for two adults and on top of that.... $10 dollars PER person (which was not disclosed to us at the gate) to get into the junky packed outdoor room temperature pool. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE. I felt generous even giving this park one star. Garbage.

Tim Ure

Great experience. Camping for 2 nights. Sites were clean of garbage, facilities were pretty clean, showers were a little hot and not adjustable. Evening ranger shows were great for kids. Try to get a site near the park if you have kids, or farther away if you dont

matthew harper

Great pool and other facilities. There were lots of people, but it never felt crowded. One awkward thing is that I lost my shirt and my wife checked the lost and found and got it back, just 5 minutes after I checked and the guy I asked said nothing had been turned in today...

Lina RF

What a great place to go. So close to our home. We go hiking and jogging. Our dog loves it too. People are so nice as you pass by and say hello. :)

Robert Romanet

Nice place to gather with friends with plenty of space and tables to socially distance. Clean washrooms too.

Jane Henry

We went for a family barbecue. Just the 3 of us! We had fun! We went early, got a good spot! Beautiful views. Peaceful surroundings! Great time!

Brenda Metherell

I am a senior and went to the park on Sept 1 with another senior. We just wanted a nature hike. We were given a map at the entrance and parked in parking lot F. We started this walk and it was quite beautiful and the paths were easily traversible. However after about 20 minutes we decided to return to the car. We soon realized that we were lost. There were many forks in the path, most of which had no signage. We soon found ourselves going in circles. We were able to get to the store where a young man pointed us down a path to get to parking lot F. However the path also broke off in forks with no signage. By the way we later noticed that our map had a disclaimer written in the corner that indicated it was innaccurate, incomplete and not to be used for navigation. Before long we were back where we first got lost. By this time I was panicking and our water was running out. We ran into two young mothers and their children who allowed us to come with them to the childrens farm. We spoke to an employee there explaining that we were lost and requested a ride to our parking lot. She said that all she could do is redirect us back on the trail. We did not want to go back in for fear of getting lost again. Like an angel from heaven, one if the young mothers ran in and offerred to drive us to our car We accepted her offer. She had to leave her 5 children with her friend while she took us from parking lot c to f, quite a long distance for two older women if we had had to walk. All I can say is, if you are going for a hike don’t go here. The map quality and signage is unsafe for hiking and the staff do not have resources to help anyone having difficulties. And if the two mothers from Brampton and Ajax are reading, you saved us a lot of anxiety maybe even our lives. God bless you.

Shahid Gilani

Great place to visit with kids, vast open spaces and easy to moderate trails for cycling and walking, plenty of room for all activities if lucky you might land up with fish, due to covid some facilities are closed...hope for the best

Anna Haranczyk

Connect with your kids and family disconnect with your internet

Javed Akhtar

A calm and beautiful place for day use. Lot of open fields and greenery to enjoy the outdoor activity. Picnic points with big shadow huts. You can also enjoy walking trail . Entrance fees is nominal 18 CAD for one car. Park closes at 8:00 PM.

L. Huang

Trying to find out about the process for booking a concrete shelter at Bronte for family picnic in 2020. Very confusing. Says to book online...but not able to do that . Called the Ontario line and they have a message to call the Day Use Gate. Called and they are not open on weekends. Glad I checked early... will try during the week....Ques? Why is the system not centralised so that booking can occur from the camp office s well...Hey this is the 21st Century !!

Ritwik Bose

Overall I recommend! + pretty place, recommend the lookout trail! + leash free dog trail and park + public transport accessible, otherwise parking $20~ + large park so I doubt it’ll ever get too crowded - the map seemed useless at the entrance, I saw number postings in the park, but no numbers on the map. Please update the map of the park! - once you come to one side of the park (south let’s say), you can’t walk to the north because of the river you have to walk all the way out.

C. Anderson

Beautiful park, very conveniently located

Ian Middleton

Great park. Though it has become far busier during covid now that they lowered annual rates. But is good for strollers, very flat options for paths.

Anne D'Altorio

Lots of trails, good for bikes, strollers, wheel chairs. Gnome road is so fun.

Geraldine Pedrosa

Has some great elevations for your hike. Love the trail area where there are different types of bird houses scattered all over. My daughter loved pointing them out and remembers them from this hiking trip.

james york

Great place for a walk. Would have been better if washrooms were operational

Joshua Suarez

Great place lovely farm and salmon run was amazing

Richie Han

This disc golf park is well maintained. The regulars here are very kind and welcoming. The course is fair and adds challenge by the numerous holes with OB. Definitely a fun course to play.

M DJ

If you're coming here for the animal farm and playground (in other words, for your kids), just don't. It's $18 to park, the animal farm is one of the saddest i have seen and the playground was nothing special, in fact, not suitable for toddlers. We spent all of 30 minutes at best there, before driving to Alexandra public school where the FREE trails and playground are leaps and bounds better.

HBS

Disc golf 18 hole course. There's three posts per hole that the basket moves around to, to keep things different if you repeat visit. Front half is short but challenging with the brush/trees. Back half is more open. Deer and other wildlife are present. Entry machine is finicky when reading credit cards, takes a couple tries to work.

Hanane Rougani

Nice neighborhood, calm, clean and very well built.

MrParadepaardje

This was one of the highlights of my visit to Canada. In particular to see the salmon swimming against the stream was really great. However, I hope it is illegal to fish during the salmon migration, since there were so-called "fishermen" trying to scoop the fish out of the water ! They should be banned from places like this !

Dee Et Famille

We visited this park when we went camping with Learn to Camp Ontario last summer. The Learn to camp experience was amazing great staff, lucky only one rain shower otherwise great weather, support, equipment & wildlife. Sadly we agree with some comments here that the hiking trails were not well maintained & not clearly marked. We had the map & our visit was included in our camping trip fee but we still had a hard time navigating. It was a good experience but not great, we really wanted to go down to the creek but never found it ????. I'm sad to see some of the responses from Bronté Creek PP to its visitors who were disappointed with their visit & posted their opinions. This is a country of free speech, lets respect that!! Plus it doesn't always matter what people say a lot of people will just go check it out for themselves & that's fine that's how it should be as everyone see's things differently. I don't think anyone is trying to smear "you", just giving people a heads up so hopefully they can be more prepared & have a better experience. You should be more respectful & lead with love & understanding. Bronte Creek PP needs to remember, some people come from far to visit so it can be a let down if it isn't a good or great experience. BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER!! Peace & Love Dee

salwan David

They charge full admission fee for NO available activities. Other than using the hill !! Not sure why there is a charge to admit the park in winter season. They don't even have the washrooms open , we had to leave the park to take the kids to the washroom. I believe it's a big waste of money going to bronte park in winter ..

Joe Wong

Great park close to the city. Lot of open space to move around and good trails to bike and walk.

Brad Clugston

Frisbee golf was super fun. Lost a disc cause its super bushy

Ashley Esgaio

I nanny out in Oakville and we love coming here because we can have a picnic, see the animals, feed them and play in the play structures. It is not to be able to bring the children outdoors to learn about nature and explore the environment. Having said this every time I have come the (not sure it’s actual name) learning centre is always closed. I asked a worker but all they could tell me was “it will be open when schools are out”. It would be helpful if there were hours of operations posted so we could plan to visit this centre!

stephanie blanchard

great park right in the heart of the city ... always camp here while visiting family in Hamilton. close enough to be easily commuted but feels like you are in a quiet forest

Mike Salter

Beautiful park with wonderful, peaceful walks.

Saqib Alvi

Awful place to bring your kids. Place is a neglected and run down. Looks like the farm animals are deprived. Couldn't even spend an hour there without my kids getting bored.

Mark DLR

Nice place, nice trails but pool is closed this season :( Never tried camping here I think it’s $18/car on weekends for day use

Varvara Pokrovskaya

Bronte creek park is a nice place to go with kids or by yourself. It has plenty of trails and a little farm with animals

Matt Everingham

Great place for kids. Check the trails hours and days of fun

shadi zehtabian

It's a huge park and gorgeous greenery and it was so sad that nothing was on going for the season

James Smith

While the whole park is a great, the dog leash free zone must have been designed by sadists since it is full of burs and thistles. Not ideal to have dogs running through there.

Inderpal Singh

Waste of time.. Pool is closed.. most barns are closed.. there r literally 4 goats ???? 4 hen 2 rabbits ???? and 1 peacock ????.. they charge you $18 to enter in.. have to walk alot to reach barn as no parking around it.. didn't see any birds except sparrows.. they should tell you at entry itself that everything is closed inside..

찐찐

Great park in my neighbourhood! It’s really good to see fall leaves! Don’t miss your chance!

Elyse Robertson

Nice & clean campsites . But for 2021 the pool and all activities are closed. I went on website prior to arrival nothing is written. Also if they were open it’s a 10 min drive on the highway to get the pool area. We won’t return .

L Murray

Website needs to be updated to be clear. For overnight camping you need to drive to activities. No direct sewage on sites. They really need a shuttle or something. Pool is CLOSED and Creek is not suitable for swimming-too shallow. Good hiking though.

Kristina Kriston

Always a great time at Bronte Provincial Park. Nice to be out in the fresh air and explore the outdoors while spending time with my family and friends.

Joel Shantz

Really nice escape in the city. Go early and you can easily feel like you're the only one around at times. Pool looks really nice as well. Drawback is that the sound of the qew seems everpresent when you are at the bottom half of the park.

Anita Warburton

Bronte Creek is a great park to escape the cities or towns and suburbs and feel like you are in the country much farther out in Ontario.

Ash A

Wanted to come experience the park so reading reviews. Very disappointed with the way feedback is handled on the forum though. Makes me nervous to visit. To the owner - just apologizing and owning up to shortcomings will go a long way. This is more a review of your online presence than the park itself. You're not really promoting it with your replies, at least for me. P.S. Not everyone reads through websites and guides before just visiting a park. Please don't bash people for it. Peace

Leigh Anne Murdy

Great place for kids on a beautiful day!

Sean

Cute and small provincial park. One of the best places to go fishing around the cities. Great place to go for a day trip. Could certainly be improved with an increase in the quality of water in the area. Also a fun place to bring your dog to. This park would be much better if it were expanded and efforts were made to rewild the area.

Huma Mehmud

Love going to this park! Trails are well maintained and so beautiful and peaceful! Love their farm house and the barn. Very kids friendly. Maple syrup festival there is definitely worth a visit! So much fun for the whole family. Pancakes are delicious!

Athar Khan

Great place to have picnics and go on hikes. Nice playground for kids in a barn. They usually have interactive programs throughout the year. Downside is the parking fee of $17 per vehicle.

edyshok

I love Bronty park, family and children friendly, not one but two farms with animals, great and inexpensive pool on a summer. Countless children playgrounds. Very good for biking or hicking. Also has campground, yoy can camp with little children as it safer for them, no wild animals.

Jessica Chr

This review is for the off-leash dog area which is the only area I visited within the park. Today was my first time here and It’s an absolutely beautiful park, we saw the salmon swim upstream today and my dog had a blast running around the stream. However, I will take one star off because I witnessed a small argument today and it was due to the park’s lack of signage. I went to Harmony Valley off leash park just yesterday (another great off leash trail) and they posted signs that tell you exactly where the off leash area starts and where you have to leash your dog. I noticed Bronte only has this at the entrance and one or two signs in between by odd paths. This led to a man shouting at another person to leash their dog. I noticed there were quite a few people that were afraid of dogs on this trail. It makes me uneasy seeing people react when my small golden retriever decides to smell the grass in front of them. My dog and I should be able to enjoy a leash free trail without repercussion. I did not experience anything remotely similar at Harmony Valley because they had proper signage. Please invest in clearer signs so dog owners and non dog owners are clear about where they can go!

T A

Great provincial park, entry fee of $17 per car is expensive but the massive pool (bigger than wonderland I think) makes up for it, as well as the trails that lead into the hill and a waterfall. Well worth it if you bring a full car with you.

Faiza Khan

One of my favourite parks. The gnome lane is absolutely adorable.

Alexander Chuzhoy

Big park with lots of trails for hiking and biking.

Andrew McRorie (Andrew57)

My family and I absolutely love this park. After 1 visit we bought the annual pass and dont regret it. We love visiting all the farm animals and learning new things in the nature center. Our dogs love the off leash trails and running in to the water. A great way to be out in nature but still be minutes from home.

L Z

It is definitely a small provincial park in term of size since it is at a relatively urban location. But it has a diverse array of sceneries/points of interests (including a farm, a water park, mountain, grassland, mature forest) if you are willing to take the time to explore. Plenty of clean picnic tables.

L Peresan

Hi Bronte Creek! We love visiting your park and just about everything in it is amazing. However I would really ask you to consider the animal farm that you maintain. Our hearts broke when we saw the peacock that is living there. Small cage, alone and just really sad conditions. I feel your park has so much to offer and appreciate nature without having a wonderous creature cooped up for visitor's enjoyment. Same with the rabbits. I am really wishing you will examine this aspect of your park and consider changing it. Thank you!

Dixant Patel

The compsite that was given was not only small but the workers did not let us sing songs at night as it was too laud?? I've been camping for the past 3 years, no one ever complained or worried about campers singing ! Worst experience ever ... Not much to do and not much space to play games ... The actual park with things to do was 9km from where we were.. (we had 50 people and not a single person liked it)

Richard Chorkawy

Fantastic...we used to come here with our daughters and now with our granddaughter! Great for walking biking and picnic...looking forward to having the barn open again ????

David Duncan

I think it will be better when fully open! It was disappointing on the camping side to see only the 100 & 200 sections open and the 300 & 400 sections closed when its almost impossible to find good sites this year! But on the good side the site we were on was clean and roomy for our 26 foot trailer and for the first time in a long time the firepit was't under a tree! All in all a great long weekend!

Kevin Alexander

We went to the park today (fourth time here since the pandemic hit) and today was the first time we went to the leash free section. When I first got to this section I just saw the field and was like ???? but then I noticed the boundary signs and realized it was actually a very good size and followed a decent size of trails for the pouches to run around. The pictures I added are from a sitting area to the right of the entrance which was a good area for us to feed our daughter and let the dogs play with sticks. The park itself is nice and offers a great deal of trails, sightseeing (farm animals, hill you can climb off of lot C with a 360 degree view, and others), and a park for the children to play on. The only thing I wish was that there was more trash cans (or people weren’t lazy and left their garbage everywhere) and some areas for dogs to get water.

Stephanie Wagner

We visited the park today, was thoroughly impressed! Beautiful area to play and have a picnic. Washrooms were immaculate! Was not crowded at all! We will be back.

Ankit Panwar

This park is amazing for biking in summers. It's so so big. Almost 4kms from entry to parking F and then there's so much to see and roam around on your bike. You can also walk and run if you want but due to the uneven surface I would prefer only biking/walking. Amazing creek where you can also catch some fishes. A must go place for summers.

Kristofer Dymek

Weather was bad but site was good. No major puddles even though there was heavy rain. Nice BBQ area and good sturdy benches with table.

Dave Harper

Exhibits are not open. No swimming. Lots of parking. Didn't have a chance to check out the trails. It's a good 10 minute drive from the main campground.

Noori Al Rahmani

Very good park we enjoyed too much

amy Raj

From last 2 years they are not opening the pool! I mean seriously? Another great example of using COVID as an excuse! All 20-30 ft public pools are open and these guys think it’s risky to open 1.8 acre pool for public… such a shame

Stephanie M

Pool has a gradual incline which is great for little swimmers. They can wade and play along the end of the pool and can gradually walk into the water. It’s a little bit of a walk to pool once you park car so I recommend bringing a wagon to carry all your stuff. Lots of green space and picnic tables so pack a picnic lunch! There is also a barn with animals for the kids to look at

Sarah P

Nice trails and good for camping. We didn’t have a table at our site so when we mentioned it at the front, they put a clean new table by the time we got back from our walk.

colin bergeron

Awesome place, you can camp there. It’s also a leash free zone which is the best part! Highly recommend for dog owners really nice trails too and a waterfall depending on the time of year

Greg Clarke

I like the park for mountain biking. I mainly ride on the east side of the park (Oakville side) from the campground area. I am getting annoyed with the number of dogs who are running leash free but are not trained to do so properly. I always slow down when approaching people on foot but I still run into problems. Today I came across a Mother and son walking their Lab and German Shepard. I saw them in advance and turned down a parallel path to avoid them but the dogs cut through the bush and came at me snarling. I stopped the bike immediately and stayed still until the dogs turned back due to the calls of their owners (who did not apologize). This is one example but it happens regularly. Other people have very well behaved dogs who stay at the side of their owner or don’t even bother with me as I pass. If you can’t control your dog, keep it on the leash.

Tian Li

Nice quiet park for a long walk, with lots of farm animals. However, the day use fee of $18 per vehicle is a little steep in the current environment, since most amenities are closed due to COVID.

sherry munslow

Large dog walking community on off leash natural trails, so you dont have to stand in some gated square. Great activities for familiesl, petting farm, swimming, mountain biking, camping. Warden can be very strict and not community minded.

Bill Bishop

Nice trails but on the west side of the creek the forest has been poorly managed with lots of cut trees and slash.

Emma Hastie

Lovely park. Have been going here since I was little. Lots of animals in the petting zoo area and tons of places to get pictures. I have a picture of me and my fiancé on the red tractor as children, the exact same I've as appears in our engagement photos!

Vanessa Falcon

Very beautiful trails for biking and walking. Bike trails all have optional features. People were all friendly. Well kept place

Richa Sharma

It is a beautiful and a very big park. There are different parking spots with different activities and trails for each lot.It is well maintained and marked.

Sophie Oaks

Lovely park with something for everyone. A little forested oasis in the city/suburbia. Day use area has a children’s barn and play areas, a farm and walking trails. Campground side also also an off leash area for dogs that we love.

Gwendolyn Sullivan

I have a Parks summer parking pass so while we were down in the GTA I decided to check out Bronte Creek. Anticipated a quick visit to see the animals but the play barn (though quite worn-looking inside) was so fun for the kids (3 and6) that we stayed for a while. The nature centre, though small, had an excellent educator inside and was packed with interactive learning. After lunch we were going to head home but the kids begged to go back so we headed to the furthest parking lot where theVictorian House is, was really surprised and impressed with the hands-on parts of the house because visiting most historical houses with young kids I usually have to keep saying “don’t touch anything”. We also did the Half Moon Valley hike which has some steep spots but we enjoyed the challenges. So overall, what I anticipated being a quick trip to look at some animals was a full day of fun for my little ones.

Erin Hunking

The overall facility is looking a little run down. The pool is still nice overall and is good for kids of all ages. The trees that were planted are the wrong type and because of that aren't very big which causes problems with respect to sufficient shade.

Sylvia Empey

The electrical hook ups are not close to the trailer. Power lines had to go 75 ft across our site. We had to go buy a cord. The site wasn’t cleaned before we got there. Trash was everywhere. The pool, which is why we chose to go there in the fist place was closed and closed for the season. Nothing else to do there with kids. The park is very close to the inner city so in the evenings you can hear all the traffic. I would not recommend this park or ever go back.

Marco Christmas

Charge a ridiculous $17 for parking. Really expensive for a lone hiker. The pool is nice, the trails are nice, but I could hear noise from 401 all the time.

Hibah Alnaimi

we loved the place..is about 14 min drive from Burlington..well organized..fees in cash per car is 17$ extra charge for using the pool..play ground..kids barn..picnic area for camping and RVs..they have different entry area will be coming back. clean place

Jino

Great park for many reasons! Has so much more potential though! Since its such a naturalistic environment, it would be great if they built reggio emillia style creative wooden playgrounds all around this park, with giant sand pits. Would be so attractive for the kids. The metal playgrounds they have are so lame here. I was quite astonished at how poor they are. You would find better play equipment at your community park.

Moataz Abdellateef

Given it's the only provincial park in the GTA area, it's an absolute blessing to have it nearby. It's very well maintained, very clean, very spacious, and gives the feeling of peace and tranquility of distant parks right in the city. If you walk down to the creek, you can enjoy the true isolation from the city noise, and if you're a fishing person, you'll love it.

Florencia Damelio

Beautiful place, there is an off leash area, but it wasn’t very we’ll signed so we just kept our dog unleash and all was good, she is very well trained so we didn’t have any issues, also there was not a lot of people, but it looks like during the summer there will be. The parking is 18$ but very worth it, the place is very well maintained. Washrooms everywhere, many picnics tables. We spotted a few deer and eagles!!

Jeff Chevrier

Ok this place is awesome...if no covid...now nothing is open. No laundry or showers. All day use area but walking trails are closed. No activities at all. However... Still very close to downtown Toronto. Campsites are very spacious and private much much better than Indian line campground. If visiting Toronto or just trying camping for first time I highly recommend.

Bobie D

Great place to hike especially for novice hikers since it is mainly plain. Just be careful on some icy patches along the way on some trails. They have a nice, big hill for sledding/tobogganing. It is a huge place so you won’t be able to get to all trails in a day. $18 for a vehicle to get in if you don’t have the Ontario Parks annual pass. The kids loved seeing the farm animals.

Prudence Ozcan

I visited today with my grandson. I wasn't impressed by the cost of entrance for senior $14.50 especially to just visit the farm and play area. There wasn't many farm animals some goats two rabbits some chickens and two cows from what I saw. The cows pen was filthy and stank, the goat area wasn't much better. There should be a small children petting area but there was only two rabbits. The play barn was very run down and wooden fixtures were old and in need of repair. For the amount of money charged for the entrance fee there should be more for children to look at and participate in.

Claudia C

Great beach like pool, fun kids play barn (check hours) and cute animals!

Brenda Sestito

Fairytown was fun! Trails are beautiful now!????

Gudrun Vandendriessche

Great park. spacious with plenty of benches. BBQ is allowed. We brought our own one and had a great time. Most of the benches are in the vicinity of a tree, which makes even the hottest day bearable. We found a hidden entrance to the creek in the ravine. It was the perfect ending of the day wading in the cool water and skipping stones.

Amy Yeung

Wonderful Provincial park close to the city. There is a Gnome Road where there are many decorated bird houses and fairy houses along the trail. There is also a barn area where you will find sheeps, turkeys, free run chickens and cows. Bring some quarters if you want to buy some animal food from the vending machine. There is also a 5 km loop gravel trail for biking with almost no traffic (occasionally a park vehicle will be on the trail).

Amy McRorie

My family and I love this park! There are so many things to do and it’s very well maintained.

Ulla Cabral

Great atmosphere, and each campsite is private

Lynne Richards

I use the leash free area off Burloak, I enjoy it very much. The only reason I haven't given the park a 5 star rating is because I can't walk my dog on the upper middle side as there are so many bicycles to contend with. I do wish the park would reward folks who've purchased a yearly/seasonal pass by telling cyclists (who just ride into the park free of charge) they must walk their bikes through the leash free area. The day is area is really nice and fun for young families. The camp ground is pretty nice as well.

Ricky Singh

Very big park. Lots of open space and trails to explore and they even have live animals. Goats sheep chickens. Very friendly staff. Helpful with information and seem attributing caretakers of the place.

Dujana

Beautiful trails to hike! Great for beginners few hours before sunset you can encounter groups of deer at close view they have haunted house to discover as well small farm. Great for families with kids and or just couples. There is a timmies in front of the park.

Nicole St. Louis

Beautiful camp ground! But a literal highway of Oakville yuppies on mountain bikes. Speeding fast too! So entitled, three different parties went directly through our site. No privacy or security. Plenty of trails for bikes. No need to have them in camping area. Even after dark, so many with blaring headlights just crushing our vibe.

Eric Elaine

Great park to visit with wonderful trails and farm animals. But ran into a group of 15+ people during the lockdown. So plan your visit to keep the proper social distance.

Jeremy Perdue

Great place for a family picnic. Clean Lots of picnic tables and space.. $18 for the vehicle day pass to go on a Saturday bit pricey,

Zenobia

Hiking through this park feels like an adventure. You get a map at the front gates, and you're free to explore everything from sprawling fields to serene forest to picturesque ravines. I would definitely recommend visiting here at least once. And if you haven't already, check out Gnome Road near Parking Lot C - you won't regret it!

Shannon Woodbeck

Have been to the park twice this year, once at the end of August and once today (Dec. 11th) While we enjoyed both visits, we were discouraged by a few things. We were quite disappointed with how little the volunteers knew about the park itself. Many times, on both visits, we asked a question and the reply was "I don't know" There weren't that many animals when we came in August, and even less this time (but that one is understandable with the weather change) however you still have to pay the same admission price to get in for significantly less attraction. On a positive note, we love the trails. Took a great walk today with our son in the stroller and our dog in her glory (almost saw a wolf too) The staff is always friendly. And it's just a beautiful place in general.

Jean Hodgson

We visited the park today and had a nice time. Loved that it was free from Monday to Thursday. I could only give it 3 stars today because the children's playbarn and pool are closed due to Covid. We did see some goats, chickens and one lovely peacock though.

Andre Bolt

Nice set unmanaged trails. Be sure to have a pair of boots you don't mind getting muddy.

Sam Boroumand

Nice park. Good to walk around . Few parking lot and there is lots of parking spot.

Diana Vuckovic

Amazing time, showers facility big and clean, bathrooms also clean ,

Marcello Pettorossi

Great place for family picnics and bike riding. The path to the river is really cool.

A

Some washrooms are open. You have to pay for parking, but it's worth it. Parking lot F is the main parking if you want to hike the trails. They also have a leash free area.

Monika P

Good old Bronte creek park is always there when you don't feel like traveling to get away. It's a big park, there is space for everyone. Our favourite part of the park is the creek of course. Last time we visited early summer of 2020. I understand that it is a huge area for staff to maintain, but seeing giant hogweed along the narrow walking paths was very scary and disappointing. People be very careful brushing against this toxic plant! The light-sensitive skin reaction causes dark painful blisters that form within 48 hours, and result in scars that can last anywhere from a few months to six years. Touching giant hogweed can also cause long-term sunlight sensitivity, and blindness if sap gets into a person's eye.

Kevin Dynes

A hidden treasure in the heart of the city. Staff are excellent and we have camped there 7 times now, always a great time.

Paula Rodriguez

It was really nice. Private good size sites. Nice people around. Decent washroom facilities.

Great trails for walking. Nicely maintained. So many options for walking that it is easy to find a peaceful area to enjoy nature.

I can’t understand why people would rate this so high. I took my son there today to see the animals and explore. Extremely limited, several exhibits were closed. I can’t understand how they can get away with charging nearly $20. Absolute robbery. You’re better of going to Mountsburg. If you want to hike or bike almost ever other park offers better hiking and biking trails. The only thing this place has going for it is it’s in a convenient location. Just a note after reading other posts, as an avid mountain biker and hiker, there are no advanced (black diamond) trails, there are more advanced trails north of Dundas. To the “owner” Stop relying on your default response when someone doesn’t rave about their experience. (Again we find that those who are disappointed with their experience did not do their research prior to visiting). It seems that everyone who left a poor rating didn’t do their research... Heaven forbid people didn’t think the park was all that great. Instead of wasting your resources replying to reviews, you could use those resources to have your exhibits open when people visit the park.

I've been going here since I was a kid and it's where I took mine every week. Always clean. Great pool.friendly staff and children's play area is fantastic ! Have rented pavilions for family functions and love that they don't crowd events on each other.

I was very disappointed. $18 to park, but everything is closed. No nature center, no playbarn. Only 2 rabbits and a pile of chickens. All the other animals were gone. The gnome trail was okay, the houses were cute, but only 3 broken gnomes around. If the amenities are closed it is only fair to reduce the parking fee. Went for an hour, not great. Won't be returning anytime soon, if ever. I wish I thought to read other reviews before going, I definitely wouldn't have bothered. I was excited to bring my young daughter and it was a huge let down. The worst excursion I have planned for us to date! Plenty of other places that offer hiking and nature for free or at least a reasonable fee. Also, want to add. I did call to complain/speak to someone, left a message and no one ever responded... wanted to add that bc it seems to be the managers go to response about making things right.

Great trails to enjoy.

Scenic trails and lush greenery! Unique ravine lookout with gorgeous views downstream and across the hills. Park is well maintained and the grounds and easy to navigate. You may ask for a map at the entry, which is a paid fee. Hiking is a must! There is an animals garden short distance within the park! Enjoy it on a sunny day with snacks at hand!

It's okay for being in the middle of a city. Plus the other side of the park you have to drive to.

Great place to come for a picnic. The pool was closed due to Covid but there are plenty of picnic tables and green space for a get together, picnic or bbq.

Alex Hersonsky

Nice park with few trails and good maintained day use area

Roman

Small farm, a pool, trails

A Dyal

My favorite park with lots of green space, bike paths, walking trails and hikes. Only feedback is that facilities need upgrading.

Vivek Dsa

Great for leisure hike or biking in summer and has good winter activities as well

A wonderful park with so many things to do! Lots of great hiking and fun for the kids in the form of animals, and jungle gyms. Extras like the off leash dog trails, RC airplane area, pool, and disc golf course are just icing on the cake. My only request would be to throw in an open archery range!
