Here you will see the opinions of people like you who are buying the products of Beacon Hill Children's Farm (Zoo) in the territory of British Columbia (Canada).
As of day the firm has a score of 4.7 over 5 and this score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see its rating is nearly the best one, and it is based on a very large number of scores, so we may say that the score is very accurate. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Zoo corresponds to the category of Farm.
Great experience for young kids! (And humans!). Children are given the opportunity to brush goats after seeing theme stampede from their homes. Warning though, when your child says they need to go to the toilet, you will need to run a distance.
This place is so great to take your children there and also have a picnic in Becaon Hill park, or spend time at the playground.
Really beautiful place
4 year old daughter had a wonderful time here. The goats were her favorite. She spent over 30 mins in the goat pen alone. Farm was a perfect size for something to break up the day of walking around the city.
A great place for families and people of all ages
Best time ever! Nothing like spending an hour hanging out with all the goats. They are so cute and have amazing personalities. The babies like to jump on your back(well so do the adults) at a certain time of day they do the running of the goats. Cutest darn thing you will ever see. There are other animals but the goats are so worth seeing as are the gorgeous peacocks. By donation.
Great place for everyone. Kids just loved the goats and so did I lol.
Such a beautiful place and so much fun for all ages
We love this park!!! Love the goats!!!
There are peacocks EVERYWHERE!!! Also, you can pet the baby goats. Took my siblings there (all adults) and had a great time. Be sure to bring a blanket to have a picnic in the park after!
Great animals
Really cute place. Plan to make it there for 10am for the running of the goats!
It's still closed for covid but most of the animals are close to the fence so you can see them and take pics. But it's a great family thing to do when there aren't any plagues around..
One of the sweetest spots in town. You can pet mountain goats and see chickens, parrots, ducks, sheep’s and alpacas...free entry (by donation) Recommend !!
Love this place, especially the baby goat pen, you can spend hours in there playing and petting the baby goats and their momma's, they also have other animals on the property.
Best place to go with the kids. Goats are always friendly.
Very fun place to bring a family! It's by donation and tons of fun.
Fills the void of a City zoo with the caring elements of a farm. A must see for family and kids. The end of day goat run is the cutest thing ever.
Absolutely love the petting zoo! My daughter had a wonderful time and we will be bavkany more times!
Great place for families and interact with the animals.
Kids never get tired of petting the animals.
Very crowded but fun for the children;keep an eye on them though!
Very good. Small and welcoming. Always improving the pens. Animals are well cared for and friendly.
Great place to get up close and personal with some adorable farm animals.
A must see for kids in Victoria during the summer. Right in the middle of Beacon Hill Park.
Pamplona, Spain has nothing on the Running of the Goats. Olé!
A great stop at the park, loved it
Fun time with the little ones, pigs, ducks, rabbits, ????'s and more. Only negative is that it could be bigger. Located in Beacon Hill Park, which has a lot of nice walking and beautiful gardens. Playground and small water park near by.
Everyone should have more Goats in their lives. Love this place!
Good place that the kids truly enjoy. Watching the goat run is amazing.
Always a fun place to visit. So many great animals and staff are friendly and helpful. The goats are the family favourite
There is no better place to bring your toddler.
Excellent venue for one and all. Entertaining, educational, and a nice place to relax and enjoy a couple of hours.
Nice farm for kids activities.
A family favourite for sure!
This is such a worthwhile stope. Free parking and so many animals to see. From vietnamese potbellied pigs to goats. Admission by donation but very much worth seeing. A wonderful place to bring your family and if you are fortunate maybe find a peacock feather. I visited twice in 2 days with my family. Thank you to Victoria for having such a well maintained place to visit.
Really liked how this park is put together. The owner himself was there to inform my family of the animals and answering any questions the kids had. Great place to kill time the whole park is beautiful!
So much fun, even for us (not so young) kids! ????
We walked up to Beacon Hill Park from the inner harbor. It was a leisurely walk about 25 mins. We arrived at the Children Farm early and had some time to marvel at the menagerie of chickens. We gawked at the fluffy babies, the cool polka dotted ones and the ones with the big hair! The keepers were busy giving them their balanced diet of fruits and veggies. All of a sudden about 50 people arrived in numerous vehicles! I knew the show was about to begin. The ‘show’ is the running of the goats, and people come from all over to see it. That was why we found ourselves there too! The gates opened and over a hundred of us waited eagerly to give our donation to enter (suggested 5 for adults) but everyone is welcome regardless of your ability to pay. The old hands on deck directed us to stand along the fence rails and clap our hands! Before we knew it there were 40 or so goats zooming by! There were smiles all around, young and old alike. That was the best 37 seconds of my day! The littles ran after the goats to the petting zoo and got their pet on. The facility is cute and well equipped with a variety of animals and plenty of hand washing stations for when you are done. Great little side trip and the kiddies loved it!
Pleasant petting zoo, most suitable for kids 5 and under in my opinion.
Fun for kids and they get to brush the goats!!
Petting zoo is such a nice place for kids! And for their parents too )
Always a great place to spend an afternoon with the family. The staff and volunteers seem to work hard to keep everything safe and tidy. The petting area with the goats is always the highlight of our visit to the children's farm.
Fun fun... Love the little goats
Great spot for the kids and its by donation
Great place. Very beautiful
Great for the kids
My daughter loved it! So many ducks that you can feed as an intertainment for your kids. There is a petting zoo where you can touch baby goats ???? also, it is by donation. Very nice place
Fantastic fun for all !!!!
"HeyYou-HEY YOO!" Peacocks, real live peacocks!!! A lifetime of great memories for myself and my own daughter! A hands on petting zoo ☺. Very well maintained with enthusiastic, knowledgeable staff! Please donate to keep it around for our grandchildren????.
I loved it! There is a petting zoo and I had a blast looking at all the goats. My kids had a great time. The staff is very friendly, and we all enjoyed our time.
The goats are the best!
Amazing little farm. So worth it. I took my 1 year old there and he had such a beautiful time petting and brushing the goats. They don't have exotic animals, but the little ones definitely enjoy more being able to have this kind of closer encounter with farm animals. We loved it!
Kids as well as adults enjoyed the experience interacting with farm animals. Had a great time petting the goats, chasing ducks, and watching peacock show off its feathers. Alpacas and donkeys are a nice addition to the farm. Very well kept and had nice feels to it.
The best!
Pretty unfortunate that the goats and other animals are not available for petting because of Covid.
Good and fun place for children
The goats run just after 5pm. Always fun to watch!
Very clean, lovely and small. Petting area has only goats.
You can spend hours here with kids, petting goats alone. It's a good time. Running of the goats was awesome! They take donations for entry.
Cute baby goats amd beautiful peacocks
Smallish demo farmlike eviro
I went there one day last week with grandkid and it was in the morning about 1030, it was a great time to go, not really busy, but it was fun. My grandson loved the goats. Great times, and what an asset we have in Victoria.
Great place. Childrens love it.
It is a small petting zoo in Victoria. So much fun for kids...the best thing is that goat stampede which will run twice a day.one is at 10am & other one is at 5pm. After 10am goat stampede all the goats are ready for pat & brush. There are also 5 or 6 peacocks, ducks, horse, hens, turkey, small birds, alpacca & so much to see for kids...
A fun day to spend with grandchildren, goats, and peacocks.
A fun day to spend with grandchildren, goats, and peacocks.
Really good! I love that you can just snuggle the goats all day!!
This park is amazing Make sure to bring your bike so you can explore the whole park. It is also connected to bike trail that takes you around the Downtown for 30 minutes gorgeous trip. ???? You may check the little petting zoo for a minimal donation. ???? Then you must stop at the rose garden to check out the colourful display of amazing roses ???? Also do not forget to check the tallest totem pole in the world ???? Have a wonderful day ????
The goats are the most fun part, they'll nibble at your clothing sometimes though so wear something you don't mind getting chewed including purses/bags. There are goat stampedes to and from the petting part of the farm at 10:10 and 4:10 There are also heritage chickens, guinea pigs, bunnies(although not right now), two giant pigs, alpacas, miniature ponies, sheep, peafowl, ducks, and a small aviary. The horses are exceptionally dusty so don't touch anything after you pat them. There are handwashing stations but nothing to dry your hands on for the outside sinks, in the guinea pig enclosure there's a hand dryer. The suggested donation entrance fee is $4 adult and $3 child at time of writing. The animals all come from a farm that's not local to the park where they live in the fall/winter. The children's farm is only open in the summers
Pygmy goat babies are full of fun right now at the petting farm. Wish kids could pet some of the other animals, like the bunnies & Guinea pigs.
Always love it here, so fun :)
The Goat Stampede is hilarious and absolutely adorable.
Kids love to touch stuff so why not let them brush a goat. There are pigs and and birds too some sheep a llama., Pretty fun for about an hour and there is friendly volunteers to answer questions. There are also hand-wash stations. After you're all finished up there head across the street but bring some bird seed for the ducks.
Always a great place to take the family. Staff are always welcoming
Fun place to bring little ones. Visiting and petting the goats was a highlight for our older kids. Be aware that there are no washroom facilities on site, though. You'll need to walk about 5 minutes from the parking lot to get to the facilities near the playground.
A+ baby goats
A very cute place for the kids and adults to see the little farm animals. We can't get the sound of the peacocks and goats out of our heads.
My kids had a fun day in here.
Great experience .
Baby goats!
good for kids
Great animals, good people
Absolutely the best time. Can't decide if I like the goats or peacocks more. People who work there addres super friendly and patient. Even the peacock cooperated aand put all his feathers on display. My sweet boy loved the goats
Great quiet place for all ages. Nice for picnic like small events
Must visit with kids.
good place with kids, there is a small animal farm and you can be closer to some animals and pat them, for animal lovers or to have an interaction between your kids and animals, it is the best place.
Good fun for the kids!
Charming! Beautiful! Love all the animals, too.
Muddy trails but the goats are really friendly.
Good place for a day trip. Spend time there, then head to the play park and duck ponds. The goats are adorable.
An absolute gem! I love that they have peacocks roam around, even during after hours in case you miss the other animals. The peacocks will sometime cross the street to go to the other side of the park. Drivers use caution.
Beauty, relax, nature.
Awesome place for kids, we go there almost every month
One of the best places to take your family for a farm animal experience! Its hands on with the baby goats and all by donation which is fantastic fanacially for bigger families.
A great little place to visit. It is located in a nice park. They have goats, pigs, bunnies, guience pigs and and a few more types of animals. You could spend a couple of hours in this area, see the animals and then you can go for a nice walk around the park.
I love going here with my grand children.
I love going here with my grand children.
This place is seasonal and not open during the winter months. It is a fun little activity if you are walking through the park and if you are there at around 4pm when they are closing up shop they do a "running of the goats" which is a lot of fun.
Screaming children everywhere!
Busy on the weekend! Very cute goats!
So fun! the animals are super sweet ❤️
A great gem within Beacon Park. This place is a must stop if you have children. The staff is very friendly and the place is welcoming. Kids are free to play and pet goats and see lots of different animals. Just a happy place to spend an hour or so.
You must take the wee ones to the “running of the goats” in the morning before the petting zoo opens. Lots of peacocks running around here.
Took my grandson to see the goats, he had a great time! Highly recommended if you have kids, or if you just want to pet some goats!
Great petting zoo and really friendly staff.
Had a wonderful experience at Beacon Hill. Kids loved it.
Baby goats !!!!!!????????????
The stars of the show are definitely the baby goats and we are kidless. ????
The. Best!
Lots of lovely animals. The peafowl had their babies out walking around as well, best time for peacock/peahen babies is late July
Really great place for people of all ages. Pet the goats, saw the peacocks and had a fantastic time!
Haven't been here in awhile ????. Lots too do @ beacon hill park????????️????????????????????????????. ????Remember Queenie ????? ????
i understand they’re trying to protect the goats from kids but at the same time they are very quick to be rude to u and ur kids, tell ur child off and kick u out. especially when it’s not necessary... the goats seem very chill and easy going but the women there are very over dramatic especially when nothing wrong is going on
The petting zoo was so much fun. The Goat Stampede every morning at 10:10am is a must-see.
Great little farm. The animals are so sweet and the goats are always fun to spend time with.
Admissision is by donation. Please be generous. The animals are well taken care of and very cute.
We thoroughly enjoyed the goats stampede! Every evening at 5pm there is the running of the goats it's awesome to watch.
Baby goat season is the best time to go. Entry is by donation. Staff do a wonderful job
What a nice little place! The kids particularly enjoyed brushing and petting the goats, and they loved to see the peacocks roaming around. The staff were great too. It's a good place to go on a hot day because of the shade. We also enjoyed the beautiful gardens, the fountains, and the playground. We will totally pop in here again.
Very good
My son just loves visiting
What a great place to bring children and family. It's a fun way to spend the afternoon, seeing the sheep, goats, songbirds, turkeys and the odd peacock. Keep an eye out for the all white albino peacock. Such a beautiful sight.
Nice animals are
Goat farm was great
The animals are well treated and kept very clean. The only animals you can directly interact with are the goats, which are very friendly and love being brushed. My 4 kids all enjoyed it ages 7 to 14.
BABY GOATS
Loved the farm. Must visit for family with kids. My little one really enjoyed teaching animals what sound they should make..;) Entry is free and you only pay the donation (optional). Ducks and Peacocks roam free around the farm and if you are lucky you can see peacock dancing.
Awesome place!
I loved this so much that words barely exist. Fun for all ages!
The baby goats alone were worth the trip into the park. ????
Simple little petting zoo. Very nice.
Amazing experience
Goats!! Enough said
Great place for family fun.
Peacocks and baby goats are the best!
Great family fun! Goat stampede is must see tv!!
Make sure you check out the goat stampedes! They do one just after opening and just before closing to get the goats in and out of the petting area.
A grandson and great grandson from the Toronto area, visited in mid May 2018; all were impressed by the playground and farm in Beacon Hill Park. It is an all year must for travellers but the youngsters enjoy the farm in particular. It is well stocked with peacocks, ducks and goats, as well as the signage for walk through garden and attractions.
I love this place!!!
Nice place for kids to familiarize with animals
Always a good time. Pay by donation. Check out all the animals and enjoy the little goats bouncing all over the place. They may even hop on your back. :)
Goats fot snuggling
Very beautiful place for families to go
Awesome!
No monkeys
Great place for playing with animals or a nice walk
Safe and fun place for kids of all ages. Pigs, bunnies, chickens, birds, horses...and a petting zoo with adorable baby goats you get to interact with ! Plus the park is a beautiful walk any time of the year complete with gardens and a children's park
Best place to come spend a few hours. The main attraction is definitely the baby goats so going early in the season (April-May) they have alot of the goats being born, and if your lucky enough to be there when it happens you may have the chance of naming one! (If the kids dont beat you to it) the owner of these animals is so kind and nice to talk to about all of her animals, and its definitely worth getting there right away or right at closing to catch the hilariously cute goat stampede! Be prepared to have a goat jump on your back if you bend down, or many chews on your hair.
If you are in Victoria with young kids, you have to visit this petting farm. As an added bonus there are 40-50 peacocks roaming around and roosting in the trees. The kids can get into the baby goat pen and pet the goats. My kids loved it.
Lovely as always! Visit by donation, and a clean well maintained facility. My wife and I brought my daughter (16months old) and she loved! Very friendly attentive staff. The woman who was in charge of the goats that day knew all of their names, and their mannerisms. Made us feel as if she truly cared for the animals and wasn't just there as a day job. Highly recommend.
Good, but not great. Covid closures have messed everything up.
Had a great time.
Cool
Loved this place! Great staff lots of animals to interact with. Loved every minute we were there. We went with a few friends had a great time and got to see lots of baby goats!
We had such a great time there, it was the highlight of our trip. The farm was kept clean. There were wild peacocks walking around. The petting zoo has lots of baby goat which are super cute. We will definitely come again.
Nice experience for kids
Colourful goose
Great place for kids!
This was adorable. My kids loved the peacocks and the goats.
Would give it a higher rating but the covid 19 B.S. ruined the experience. Animals looked depressed. Kids who came looked disappointed or bored. Maybe in couple years I may visit when all these restrictions are over for a more genuine review. Not recommended.
I've been going since the 1970's and now volunteer there. A wonderful place to spend an hour or whole day. The wee goats are the huge hit and though it can get a bit crazy with children & grown kids ( adults ), there is always a calmness over the crowd ( feels that way to me ). Thankful to have such a lovely place.
Awesome little children's farm in a beautiful park. My son had a blast petting the baby goats and checking out all the peacocks.
Lots of different birds and goats. At the time we were there, there was baby goats that the kids had fun petting and brushing.
Always enjoy going here
Was a tad boring, really.
Great place!
Entrance by donation. The baby goats are always a treat.
Affordable, adorable, and lots of laughs with the goats. Well worth it! :)
The second happiest place on earth
It os closed until Spring. Great family venue. Love love the animals.
Great place for kids to see zoo animals. There is a petting zoo, and places to walk in nearby Beacon Hill Park.
Great family day destination
Lots of family fun and adorable animals
Very small, and only the goats can be interacted with. It seemed clean and well maintained, but unless you really just want to pet a goat, you’re better off saving the entry donation and looking at it from the outside. We were hoping for something more based on reviews.
Excellent experience for parents and children
Lots of animals. Seem well kept.
Great place to bring the children lots of fun
Really missing this little gem . The kiddos love brushing the goats.
Admission by donation, so value is always good. It's not terribly large but always a fun trip for the kids, particularly if you're already in the area.
Expected more animals and interaction
Its an amazing experience for all ages petting the goats, seeing the goat run if you're lucky
The baby goats!!!
Baby goats are a must!!
Affordable place to take the kids.
Great spot by donation . Kids loved it !
Where else can you pet goats?
Really great place to visit. Super friendly staff, it's clean and a manageable size, and there's a nice variety of animals to see.
Awesome place to see some cute animals like chickens, goats, and peacocks. Fun place for any age and dogs
A great family stop, bring the kids and enjoy the running of the goats! A unique Victoria experience for all ages.
Affordable family fun.
Watched the running of the goats. A must see if you have little kids.
Busy, but fun
It's a great place to check out if you like animals and then go have a stroll around the park. If you get tired then find a nice spot to relax.
Cute little place to visit. Being able to get up close and personal with the goats is a highlight but my personal favourites were the alpacas.
So much fun!! The baby goats are the best!
You could spend all day there cuddling baby goats.
Great place for the kids to see the animals
The goats are the biggest part of the farm but I personally like the two big how's at the front the best.
Everyone who visits or lives here needs to go see the goats. Wake up early when the farm opens and watch the "running of the goats". It's really something special
Come right at open or close for the goat parade. The main physical interaction you should expect to have will be with the goats, which is totally worth it, but don't expect to hold any of the smaller animals or pet the pigs if they decide to sleep away from the fence. The staff are great and you can improve any trip to the park by stopping in.
Great place for the kids... and the ones, who are still 'kids at heart'.
Fantastic place with quite some animals We spend 20 min there with our 1 yr old The park itself (beacon hill) is super nice, very green with playgrounds etc
Wonderful park and great animal farm fir both kids and adults
A great place to take the kids. Small but lots of fun.
Go to place if you have kids or love animals.
Go to place if you have kids or love animals.
A great stop at the park, loved it
Fantastic for kids, the goat pen is the best!
Great for kids
Admission by donation. Nice petting zoo with lots of fun! Great for the whole family!
Definitely one of the best places to be in Victoria. So peaceful
Beautiful place!
great. bring swimmers when the weather's good
Been here in many an occasion, wonderful place to bring children. Friendly staff, good exposure to wildlife in a controlled environment. Entry is by donation. Definitely worth the timing to see the gist stampede. As an addition to the other offerings in beacon hill park, with the beacon drive-in and Dallas road nearby this is a great place to spend an afternoon.
Great little farm for little ones. The owner is actually still managing the place. Their family have been here since the eighties. You can tell they do love the animals. Those are pets and pets only (not for meat). You can pet the animals. There’s a donation to make (4$ adult, 3$ children). (Updated donations given response)
Lovely farm. Goat run at 10:10am and 5:10pm daily. Entrance fee by donation. Lots of peacocks One of the highlights of Victoria BC
Love the petting zoo!!
Love the goats here! No bad smell here
If you're visiting Victoria, this is a great place to stop by! There is no admission fee for this petting farm and is by donation only. In this farm, you'll find lots of animals like alpacas, pigs, peacocks, goats, and more! There's a fenced area where you can pet, brush, and play with goats. They also have lots of baby goats. It was so much fun goofing around with the animals and I'd recommend this to any animal lovers out there. p.s. The animals get REALLY friendly sometimes; they are not afraid of humans at all. One even jumped on my girlfriend's back and hung out there for several minutes (see photo)
Best kids experience ever! Hours spent petting little tiny baby goats???? Lots of Peacocks. Wonderful place
Free children's farm with a goat petting area! Good variety of farm animals to see.
Kids loved all the birds
This would probably be more fun after covid when you can actually pet the animals. For now, I would probably skip it.
I love the farm
Goats are great
Great farm. Love the goat petting area.
This was a great place to visit with kids. Entry is by suggested donation which is affordable for families. The kids got to pet and groom some cute goats. The highlight was learning that peacocks CAN fly. The gardens around Beacon Hill park are lovely.
It was cute, but when I took my kids to see it, we could only see a couple of goats and some peacocks flying around. The kids couldn't pet the animals. There was a sign saying the farm was closed until 29 March 2019.
Quite a lot of animals and the peacock is so beautiful!
Came for the goats, stayed for the goat run.
Great fun
Love the petting zoo and the experience, but unfortunately was put off upon entering. A staff member was listing off the covid protocols and my kid was super happy, saying how happy he was to be there and they stopped, pointed, and told me to make my kid be quiet so I could hear them speak when I clearly could. It was quite rude considering it's a very kid-friendly place.
So love the goat sounds
Absolute must for the young ones. Get there for opening and catch the goat run.
It is a perfect place to have fun with the kids and little goats
This is a must with children. A lot of peacocks to see plus you get to see sheeps very closely and this place works on donations. So contribute as much as you can
Loved it, it's beautiful
We stayed for long time, especially the goats and the babies, so adorable. Very nice atmosphere, no entrance fee, just donation, please help out by donating more, staffs are very friendly
1479 Fort street to 75 Songhees Drive
The farm is Closed from Thanksgiving till spring break. Can google please correct this. Thank you. Beacon hill children's farm staff.
Goats! What can I say, if there weren't goats, this place wouldn't be half as much fun. Time your visit for the goat stampede (twice daily) and you'll thank me ;).
The closest thing Victoria has to a zoo. Great activity to take young ones and go for casual dates. Admission by donation
Goat therapy!
The goats are great!
Peacocks, pigs, miniature horses, donkeys, chickens, llamas, small birds, and goats, lots and lots of goats. Admission is by donation. They also have a daily goat stampede. Did I mention the goats, because they have goats, lots of goats.
Always love the baby goats
Fabulous place to see a variety of well cared for animals and interact with the goats
Peacocks everywhere
Cute and fun farm with an area for playing and petting goats.
Sure to bring out the child in you.
What a great little spot to take the family. My daughter loved seeing the different animals that were there, especially the goats. All the animals looked extremely well looked after and the entire area was really clean. We'll definitely go back the next time we're in Victoria.
Cute little farm. Think was $4 donation for entry. Pigs, chickens, goats. Typical peeking farm animals. Did have the grave of a beloved horse which is different.
By donation entry and the suggested amount is posted as $4 for adults, $3 for children. Goats, Donkeys, llamas, Chickens, Ducks, Pigs, Peacocks, Rabbits and an avery for small birds. Nice little sanctuary in this already diverse parkland.
A little crowded in the petting zoo area. But we were there right at opening...probably eased up during the day.
Very fun for kids and adults. The peacocks were wonderful. I do wonder why there are so many baby goats, what do they do with all the goats?
This is where we can play with cute animals.
B-E-A-utiful! Ive never seen a park that diverse with so many different and hidden gems to find and it was so clean! Our son absolutely LOVED the petting zoo. The goats were too cute...and its all free!
Excellent time for kids and adults.
We had a wonderful time!
Can't touch .. cant play with the goats .seems kinda empty.. I blame covid rules for ruining a fun place for the gran kids ..
Enchanting for all ages
Lovely place!
So much fun for small children and adults too. By donation so be prepared to give a couple of bucks if you can. Otherwise it's totally free.
Go for the goats, stay for everything else!
This is a lovely petting zoo. Only the goats can be pet and they are very young and cute
An very large and beautiful park to relax or do activities with children.
Had a great time. Daughter was fascinated meeting the animals. Recommended.
Be there early for the Goat stampede ????
Cool place
Love the goats here! No bad smell here
Great place for the kids or to get a closeup shot of a peacock.
A really awesome experience! Animals are treated really good, staff is super friendly, everything is clean, place is really fun. Been going here for over 20 years.
I thought this would be a farm of children, like "baby farming" in Victorian England, you know, where the lady farms babies but no it was a bunch of goats and crows and rodents being preyed upon by children and their caretakers. I am disturbed beyond belief. Snot running down their nose. Five little girls with bad intent. Please keep the animals safe. Thanks - Ned.
Always a great time seeing all the animals and playing with the baby goats especially
Meh. It's ok.
Nice spot for a few hours. Petting the goats seems popular!
Loved it!! Entry is by donation, the goat pen is the highlight. The spring and other goats were gentle, even with baby and liked being brushed. They come right over for a pet.
Great place to bring kids to watch farm animals including goat, pig, ducks..
Love the goats
Kids really loved it, no petting animals due to COVID protocols.
This place is a go to when in Victoria. A nice urban country feel. When ur in the baby goat area, if u bend down, the baby goats will jump on ur back :) Its home to Victorias own colony of Peacocks and Peahens. And the baby goat stampede is so cute and adorable!
Fun cute goats!
Love this place. Cheap to visit for big families and the baby goats are the best!
Very excited to learn that our sweet Boston Terrier Lola is welcome at the petting zoo! Yay!!!
Love this historic petting zoo. Goat Stamped!!
Still closed despite telling people they're open. It is entertaining when open. Change the business hours to closed please
GOATS!!!!
best for kids and young in heart to visit. my daughter loves to pet the goat.
Lots of fun. The running of the goats is very cool.
Such a great space for people of all ages!! Love that you can brush and pet the goats, and their names are always fun to check out since they are themed. My 94 year old grandpa still talks about the pot bellied pigs and peacocks as one of his favourite sights :)
So clean organized ! Perfect spot to enjoy! Then the icecream!
Love this place! For a small donation (e.g. $4 for adults) you can interact with all sorts of cute animals. I'd highly recommend it! But please be respectful of the rules, it's for the safety of the animals and others.
Super cute! I personally loved the bunnies but goats. I strongly suggest staying until closing or visiting late afternoon, for the baby goat stampede. Adorable for all ages.
Great place! Goat stamped at 10:10 and 5:10/4:10 depending on closing time is the cutest activity in town!!
Great place to bring the family!
If you don't go to run of the goats you havent lived
Amazing!
i wish i could pet the quinea pigs. the goats are amazing and never hurt me or my younger sister. the ponies do bite and it hurts alot.
Had a fun time at the park. Got some great photos and the Petting zoo was awesome! The baby goats are adorable and the peacocks were spectacular! Loved the ducks too. The little donkeys are so sweet! So much fun!❤
Great place to go and spend some time with your family, watching the baby goats playing is really pleasant
A must visit whether you are a local or just passing through. The animals are sweet as can be and the petting area will be sure to delight all ages!
You will fall in love with the goats
My 4 year old niece loves this place! Lots of goats, peacocks and other animals roaming around. Admission is by donation. This is a great park to stop by with your family in Victoria!
A great place to take the little ones. Going at opening or closing is a really fun opportunity to see the goat stampede.
We had a really nice time coming here. We got to see a wide range of animals and we're fortunate enough to pet the goats. The baby goat was so cute.
Nice for kids
Always love going there
I love this place! The property is well cared for and the animals appear as happy as they can be given they are living in smaller quarters.
Came Saturday oct 13th 2018 to find that the petting farm is now closed for the season. Vaguely opening March 2019
It is a great stop over to relax right in the city and the goats and peacocks are always fun.
Very fun to see farm animals and the running of the pygmy goats. Very enjoyable for all ages
Great experience and plenty of animals to play with. Lots of different activities to do and was a good way to kill time.
This place is such a treat in the spring when the baby goats are being born. The goats can be pet and brushed and at the end of the day they run them through a path in the middle of the zoo to their nighttime quarters in a sort of adorable stampede. Admission is by donation. There are other animals to such as rabbits, peacocks, a miniature horse, and a miniature donkey. There are pigs too. One can make a day of it by visiting one of the playgrounds in Beacon Hill Park, seeing the ducks on one of the lakes in the park, or perhaps meandering over for an ice cream at Beacon Hill Drive-In.
Awesome place! The petting zoo goats were so much fun! The peacocks seemed to coordinate with eachother to put on a show!
Super cute! Definitely donate for your admission :)
Great for kids. Fun way to spend some time with the family. The baby goats were so cute and my wife enjoyed playing with them.
It is always nice to see the animals...But it does get crowded ! I was pulling a wagon around with my toddler's..the wagon just fit in the walkways.
We love this place. Small but fee is donation based so no risk you won’t get your money’s worth. Running of the goats is amazing!
Lots of peacocks and pea hen's running around very interesting place to spend the day
Many many goats
Stardust was my favourite goat from 2018!
Loved it!!!!!! It's a great touristy place if you're looking for something to do in Victoria. My favourite part was obviously the baby goats. The most friendly goats I've ever met. Definitely coming back to get my goat fix!
The chickens- look out for Lady Gaga
Not just for kids
Great place to take kids, busy buts it’s big enough to space out. There are signs up not to feed the animals (mostly the ducks) but everyone ignores them, probably to the detriment of the ducks; white bread is the ducky equivalent of candy: delicious but unhealthy.
Oh my goodness... baby goats!!!! Plus so many Peafowl and other critters. We loved it (including the adults!)
The grandchildren love the petting zoo. Admission is by donation. The staff keep the facility very clean. Lots of hand washing stations. Large penned areas for the animals. Be sure to go for their opening for the running of the goats.
My kids love this place! Beautiful peacocks.
Great place to bring the family. Cant go wrong
Luv the animals
Lovely fun place for family with young children and teens
Lovely place
Awesome place to visit. There is even a petting farm that is by donation with all sorts of animals. Goats are the only animals for petting.
Love this place so much. I love coming here with my family and friends because it is always a good time. The goats are definitely the best part, they climb all over you and it is so fun.
Beautiful place to sit and watch the joy of children and their families.
Lovely place with lots of animals to look at and goats to pet!
So fun to see any stuff
The best place to take the kids in Victoria. Be sure to be there for the goat stampede, it's definitely a highlight.
Great place for the family
Once you've visited the Farm and the Rose Garden, head over to the Cricket Pitch where these socially-distanced Canada Geese are politely making their way to watch a match.
Good times
People have a lot of fun
Fun for kids and friendly staff
Get there early to see the running of the goats and then have one walk on your back!
Pretty awesome place to bring your kids. Lots of animals to see. Some of the animal areas you're allowed to go into to play, and interact with the animals. The goats are great fun for kids!
Very fun, better to go footing the week when less busy
Loved seeing the running of the goats! They even allowed leashed and well-behaved dogs.
Awesome place been going since I was a kid
Its all about the baby goats
Fun and free (voluntary donation bucket) for the whole family. Even big kids are charmed by the baby goats.
My boys (7 and 9 at the time) absolutely loved this place. They spent a solid hour just petting goats. The staff was very friendly. They kept the place very clean. Entrance is by donation so it is very affordable. Get there at 10am for the running of the goats. Worth the trip into the park for sure.
It's what you think it is
excellent park
Since my baby was a baby I have been visiting here, always a good time with an array of both big and little creatures to play with and gaze upon. I do miss the police horses though....
Lots of animals for kids to pet, plus this plucky peacock!
Good place for children's and adult's.
Good spot for kids.
A must see for kids and adults. Baby goats are the big draw. You and the kids can enter the enclosure and spent as much time as you like petty the goats. Pretty darn cute. Volunteer run organization. No fee to get in but donations accepted.
good for kids. staff mean!
Adorable animals!!! Loved seeing them all!!!
Lots of wonderful animals. Love the baby goats!!!
Its a great family day activity. The animals are fun and cute. The staff are very friendly and informative. I have gone several time throughout the years and will go again.
"Goats"
Well run petting zoo with info on the animals and friendly staff.
Kids love it there...
An enjoyable time right in Beacon Hill Park. Animals such as alpacas, goats, and a slew of ducks. And peacocks roam free!
It was fun playing with the baby goats. It's a nice way to spend some time
It's been my favorite spot since the first time I took my kids there way back in 02
Awesome experience
What a nice treat for little kids, and even big and adult-kids who likes to watch some birds, sheep, donkeys, piggies, peacocks, white and regular beautiful ones. My two daughters 8yrs. and 4yrs. loved this place. My little one remembered Queenie the the Clydesdale that died even before her Dad was born… hahaha. Lots of photoshoot spots for kids. Loved it and highly recommended if you were finding a place to hangout, and picnic or fun with family and friends. :-) There’s a Burger restaurant nearby that will provide snack for longer hangout :-)
Awesome thanks
Unfortunately the kids can't pet all animals and there are pens where we couldn't access (birds and guinea pigs). It could be better, but pandemic messed up part of attractions. The staff are kind and the goat treater is very friendly.
The running of the goats was truly fun my daughter enjoyed herself so much she was adamant we had to visit the goats and i am glad we did!!!!ps she's 18 lol
You should take "children" out of the name - goats is for everybody!!!! :)
THE RUNNING OF THE GOATS!
Great fun family stop, particularly with small children. Try to come during the "running of the goats"!
Fills the void of a City zoo with the caring elements of a farm. A must see for family and kids. The end of day goat run is the cutest thing ever.
Great for kids 2-10. Lots of animals and friendly staff.
I always go in late March and April when the baby goats are being born. Get there an hour before the goat run if you want to hang out with them!
A must for any family with young kids! Excellent staff and a great mix of animals in a beautiful park with a great ice cream place nearby and a block from the ocean. What more can you ask for?
So fun to see any stuff
Great place for curious little kids.
A great experience! The baby goats were soooo cute! They seem so well loved by the employees. Wonderful little place!
So much fun with all the baby goats! Super cute and great fun for kids of all ages!
Goat run isn't happening at the moment, and kids can't go in to the petting area. More fun when they don't have their COVID protocols
Always a Favorite!
Absolutely awesome place to take young kids in Victoria. The goats are great, there is a goat stampede at closing ~4pm, that kids just love it. There are ducks, chickens, pigs, alpacas, miniature horses and more!
Very interesting and beautiful
Good times
Great place for young kids to interact with animals.
The goats are the main attraction. The other animals are interesting, but the kids really come for the goats
Amazing place to take friends and family that are visit I g or just need a stress relief! Always donate more than suggestion! They need and deserve it!!
Baby Goats! The Best!9
Is beautiful
Wonderful children's zoo with goat stampede. Not to be misssed
Always a good time. Who doesn't love baby goats?
Kids love this place
This is a favourite in Beacon Hill Park. Remember to make a contribution for the upkeep of animals then wander around the farm animal pens. Spring brings the baby goats in the petting pen with their moms. Rabbits, donkeys, chickens, pigs and peacocks are all here. Fun for the children and a good hand washing station when you are done.
It's a small farm for the kids
A must visit in Victoria if you love goats.
The baby goats are so cute!
Great little petting zoo for kids.
Lovely place to bring some kids to see some kids. Entry by donation means you can't go wrong. Lots of animals walking around free (peacocks and peahens frequently are found in every other animal enclosure) as well as some small cabins that have little birds, Guinea pigs, and rabbits. At the start and end of the day they have an adorable stampede of goats (babies and all) that processes through the whole area. If you have children under 6 they will love this place. If you love animals, any age can come here and enjoy the company of some domestic species.
Great little place for the kids! The goats are always a hit to pet, watch run, and brush. It's fun to see where the peacocks will pop up around the whole park.
A lovely park, farm and garden. There are peacocks all around the grounds. The farm is by donation and has about 4 to 7 stations of animals. Great for a toodler as enough to keep them happy and not over stimulating.
A great place for Children and Adults. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is by donation suggested donation is $3 for kids and $4 for adults. They have an area so you can pet goats and maybe a few will climb on you. Took my 3 year old niece a couple weekends ago and managed to see the goat run. 10 minutes after close is when this event takes place. They go from the petting zoo area to their barn for dinner, the humans act as a barrier while the goats run for their supper, they stop for no one :). I didnt know this happened until a couple weekends ago, would totally go to see again.
Lots of fun the kid! She enjoyed herself
Great spot for kids, my daughter goes crazy for the baby goats. Always a good time.
Always a cool activity to do with kids.
Lots of sites to see, plenty of gardens, trees and small birds, ducks and squirrels. Within walking distance of the ocean with plenty of public parking.
Great granddaughter age 3 had a good time.
Very nice place and cute. Is not as big as a zoo but it's better than some zoo.
Lovely Experience. Goat Run is fun. Staff great should have port- a- potty.
Great place for kids young and old
Great place for the kids
A wonderful place to spend time with farm animals! There's also a small petting area with goats, and specially baby goats that are a few days and weeks old. There are younger baby goats living in the barn/nursery with their mama. Alpacas, pigs, Chicken, birds ???????? and bunnies are my favorites
The goats are definitely the highlight
We always visit the zoo when we go to Victoria.the goats are too adorable
Who let the goats out?
Mutton good!
Absolutely love this place, the animals are so sweet and well taken care of and the staff that I've encountered are lovely.
Nice interaction with the goats
Fun even if you don't go with children.
Everything wonderful...!!!
Great, we always love this place. Very limited when it comes to the petting zoo. No brushing or sitting the goats. :(
Great petting farm great for family
It is a small zoo in victoria. If you do go check out this place, keep in mind not to compare other bigger zoo.
LOVED the running of the goats!
Love it. Bring me to my childhood. Lots to see.
Our young daughter loved it
Goats put on such a show!
Fun for young kids
Great little farm
This petting zoo is a must for kids and adults alike from 1 to 101. Parking is available right beside the entry. Entry is by donation. Featuring some exotic animals as well as common farm animals its claim to fame is the running of the goats twice a day. The running of the goats is a riotous fun event with baby goats galore! They are playful and love to be interacted with. A must for the younger kids or the young at heart. The peacocks are always a beautiful addition to a visit to the park along with the very interesting chickens and ducks. The staff are incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. If you are visiting Victoria or Beacon Hill itself, this stop is a blast and shouldn't be missed!
This place never gets old
Great for the kids , goat run is at 1010 , staff os friendly , admission by donation , enjoy the rest of the park as well
Fun for the whole family
Great affordable attraction. Many of the peacocks roam freely.
Always entertaining for young and old.
Love the goats!!!!!
Nice little farm and it has petting area
Great place for the young and old....watch out for the baby goat stampede. Cutest thing ever
A bit busy, but still nice. Kids cannot touch the animals yet, so not as fun
I've been going to the petting zoo for about 35 years and taking my one and a half year old makes me feel like I'm sharing my childhood with her! Love the goats!
Always great always wonderful times.
Peacocks are quite a sight
I remember going as a kid and now I get to take my grand child....loved it
Super fun place to visit with the kids if you've never been. It's bye donation to enter the facilities. There's peacocks, donkeys, ducks, birds etc. and a goat run the happens in the morning and afternoon. The park across the street is a nice walk to do before or after. There are public washrooms located around the park as well as a few different playgrounds with different equipment for the kids.
It was great
Excellent pace to take the kids. We spent a lot of money on different things to take the kids to and this was the most fun. We made our donation, and it was well worth it. The goats were so fun, to pet and brush. The peacocks were all over and beautiful. There were ducks, pigs, bunnies, donkeys, miniature horse, and alpacas. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. The running of the goats was really exciting for the kids. This happens at 10:10 every morning. Great place and the park itself is beautiful.
Always have a great time here. The staff are friendly, the zoo is kept as clean as it can be, and it's fun playing with the baby goats. Sure I'm an adult but it's always a great time. Great place for kids, and the closing goat run is awesome!
Such a great place to take kids.
Awesome for the kids
Such a great gem! Enjoyed our visit immensely and the team there was great at making sure we had a good experience.
I never get sick of seeing the animals here!!!
rude staff
Lots of fun with all the baby goats. Great fun for children.
Best day
Excellent place for you g and old.
Always a fun experience. Especially love the super cute goats.
The goats will jump on you if you bend over
Super nice place entry by donation and the animals all seem happy. The goats are particularly fun for the kids (and child like adults).
It is so beautiful
The kids had a lovely experience. It's FREE, but u can give a donation suggested amount is $4 per adult and $3 per kid. Coz of covid the kids are not allowed to enter into the fenced area of the animals. The animals are not be brought to the fence as well. If the animals come to the fence then thebkids cam pet it, otherwise they just watch. There r chickens, ducks, donkeys, budgies, alpaca, chicks, pig. Because of covid everyone over 12yrs have to wear masks.
A bit disappointing, very small and not much to see.
Lovely goats. We love to come back to see them all the time.
A fun way to spend an hour or so. Lots of animals to look at and if you can make it, try to be there for the running of the goats!
Such a great place to bring kids.
Nice and small farm area to enjoy for kids. Entry is free but suggested donation is 4$ for adults and 3$ for kids.
Best place ever!
Amazing experience for my kids - Thanks:)
The goat stampede is the best! Lots of kids there (as it's a children's petting zoo) but as adults, my boyfriend and I had so much fun!
Fun experience for all.
I love playing with the goats!
My kids love this petting zoo!
A great place to bring kids on a sunny day. Admission is by donation. When they are finished with the farm, there are playgrounds, duck ponds, picnic areas and walking trails to use.
Very nice, and by donation you cant go wrong. My daughter loves the baby goats the most!
The period I was there they were closed for the season. But what I liked that you could still see the animals from the fence.. not even far.. like right behind the fence.
love this place!!
Great for kids
The hamburger was amazing.....loved it.... apparently everything is made from their farm....even the chicken fingers were homemade....delicious ????
Best place Ever! Incredible experience!
A family tradition going back generations.
OUTSTANDING park. SO well maintained!!!
Great to interact with the goats and other animals
Not just fun for the kids. My husband and I come here about once a year and just love petting the baby goats. The goat stampede is so cute!
A lovely place to visit with toddlers and little ones. Or any age with an interest in animals.
Amazing place for kids and adults. The best way to get to know some animals in a friendly environment.
Always a fun stop for our little one
Great fun
Nice free place for family with children to meet animals.
Great place for young and old
Great for kids of all ages
The best place to visit on Vancouver Island. You will not be disappointed. Say hi to Maple for me. X
Closed for season but the peacocks run free! Sweet
Great place for families with kids. Lot's of animals with nice enclosures that don't make you feel sad for the animals. Check out the running of the goats, check the website for times. Totally worth coordinating your visit. The rest of Beacon Hill is great too. Awesome playground very close by.
Always great fun
Always well kept. Great staff. The grandkids watched the goat stampede many times. It's a wonderful drive from Duncan. ;-}
When my granddaughter was in town we attended the goat stampede at beacon hill children’s farm. This was our second time as we saw it last year as well. It was a lot of fun cheering on the baby goats as they ran to the petting area of the farm. Then there’s an opportunity to brush and pet the goats. Such a fun experience! This is a must do activity for the little ones. :)
November Project every Wednesday at 6:29am!!!
Goats
Fantastic
Baby goats are adorable .
It's very cool
Great place to pet goats, just don’t miss their daily stampede to & from barns at 10:10am & 4:10pm respectively.
They really cute!
Nice small zoo to experience animals really close
took my kids there when they were little and am now happy to take my grandson. Its safe for little ones. Covid may keep numbers down but we went on a weekday and not crowded at all.
Lovely little well looked after children's petting farm with a few exotic birds - even peacocks!
Great place for the kids to go lots of kids goats that is

A wonderful place to take the family for a morning or afternoon. Great for young children. Highly recommended.
Bring your family. Pet goats. By donation.
Always entertaining for all. Courteous staff, well maintained and relaxing atmosphere.
Come near closing to watch the goats race back to their pens! Cute and clean environment. Even have hand washing stations throughout the farm. Entry by donation, please be generous, as the funds go towards minding the animals for many more to admire.
Good for kids
Small place , no feeding . Not much to do , even kids could not touch any animal . Don’t recommend
This place is very good for enjoying with children's and family, every where there is greenary, full of and all types of pets is there in the park wondering freely here and there this place is more to seeing is the believing then to describing

An absolute joy for kids.
None petting
Running of the goats was great
Great place
You can pet baby goats
Great fun Petting goats
Beautiful place
The farm vas closed at the time of our visit. Several male an female peacocks were visible in the area.
So much fun to see all the baby goats and other animals.
Pretty little petting zoo that is nicely laid out to walk around easily. Suuuper busy in the goat petting pen, with about a thousand human kids trying to pet a handful of goat kids...very hectic yet still somehow it was organized chaos. I loved all the animals but the pigs the best! Gorgeous roaming peacocks too.
Great place to go kids love it would be cool if they could throw something new in as it is the same every year but we still go several times a year
Love the goats!!
This place was such a treat! The animals are well cared for and the staff we met were very nice. The goats were hilarious, it was hard for us to leave! (Low ratings here seem to be from people who want them and their kids to be entertained by animals. This is a place to interact with farm critters on their terms!)
Just simple fun.
I will always love the petting zoo. Not much has changed and the goats are always adorable.
Great for the family
Such a neat place. Kids love it (so do the adults). Peacocks walking around and lots of animals to check out. They do a Stampede of Goats at 10:10am and 5:10pm daily which is worth catching! Admission is by donation so please donate what you can to keep this place going!
Donations only, clean and well taken care of.
A good place to go with kids. You get to meet a variety of farm animals and get to pet the goat.
Great spot for kids!
Running of the goats is great for kids
Decent farm for kids to see goats, a pig . The guinea pigs are best.
Cute little zoo. Informative and family friendly. Lots of places for people to wash up in case of allergies. Worth a visit.
Great place for kids
Super cool. Donkeys and pigs and chickens and more!
The petting zoo at Beacon Hill Park is a wonderful place to take your kids/grandkids, and visitors to Victoria. We go there often and always enjoy interacting with the variety of animals they have. Admission in by donation. Explore Beacon Hill Park while there. A truly beautiful park.
My daughter is 2 and she had a blast petting the goats. Couldnt get her out of there.
What a great place for anyone of all ages to come too!
Nice petting farm, unfortunately it was closed when ,I visited but it looked very nice looking through the fence. I would return when it's open.

Awesome farm...goat run is a must see
We met a photographer there to have portrait photos taken in Beacon Hill Park.
Always a fun experience especially the goat stampede!
It has some good animals but it would have been nice to have more animals in the petting area as they only have goats. I wouldn't go again.
So many farm animals to see. Nice park to have picnic.
Baby goats!!! ????????????
Gorgeous fun park. The petting zoo is a must.
Such a cute place! Make sure you see the goats :)
Great place to go with young kids or the family. Lots to do and beautiful park.

Great spot for children and adults! Always rooms for a laugh.
Great little attraction to visit! Peacocks walking around freely, never been so close to one before! The shaved alpacas looked funny ;D

The family enjoyed watching all of the animals interactions..was a fun day there and capped off by playing mini golf...
Pay by donation... was a quiet place to kill some time
Great place to see animals and play with the goats
Even though it’s closed right now, the animals are still out and about during the day and of course, the peacocks are everywhere all the time. Please consider supporting them during this time (donation links are put up on sign posts all around).
Friendly staff, always willing to help.
