Here you will see all the opinions of real people like you who are using the services of Ripley's Aquarium of Canada (Zoo) in the area of Brampton (Canada).
Right now this business receives a rating of 4.6 over 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is basically the top, and it is based on a very large number of scores, so we may conclude that the assessment is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to put tatings when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo is classified in the category of Aquarium.
Had fun and sure ready to go back. Lovely collection of aquatic life...
Not quite the same due to COVID. Still worth going.
While the place itself is great, the organization this year is horrible. We just spent one hour waiting outside the place (-10C) to enter with the tickets for specific time. There were hundreds of people with little children standing the in the cold just to enter the place. No information, no warning, no one to speak with - it is absolute shame!!! So if you want to spare yourself some suffering - wait until summer to go there. For now, look somewhere else!!!
Had lots of fun, especially the water tunnel walkway, beautiful sights of sharks and stingrays!
Very well designed, neat and clean, like a naturally guided tour in there that helps you not skip anything nor wander in circles trying to decide where to go first. So, take your time and enjoy every minute of this amazing world. There’s a couple of activities for children and they also let you touch the stingrays! Worth the visit
One of Toronto's greatest attractions! Kids and grown ups will enjoy this !
This place is really wonderful! If you never go there, you need to have this experience in your life!
I went for the first time since the pandemic and I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of the line, as the staff ensured all guests had the vaccination cards and tickets in record time. There were tons of people— I would prefer there to be a cap for the # of people, but that can’t be helped. My friend and her brother were equally happy at the wide array of sea animals present. My only wish is that there were monthly paint nights or even a jazz and wine night for just the adults, as families with young children can make the experience more hectic. Nonetheless, it seems people from all age groups loved the exhibit.
What an awsome experience of Riply Aquarium. Life at sea, Variety of fish, every one would love it.
From start to finish. Purchased our tickets a week prior as u need to book ahead of time. Family friendly. It begins as soon as you enter. The food area is small and all through a vending machine like pizza and frozen yogurt. The shopping store is great. Spent less then 2 hrs in there. Nice and cool.
If you have time, you can visit. Not too big, good for family tour
There are so many tanks of various sizes containing so many fish and underwater growths of so many types! It's beautifully maintained. There are many interactive stations for children. The aquarium has a high standard of eco friendly information.
Such an amazing experience every time. Kids absolutely love it.
Such an amazing experience every time. Kids absolutely love it.
Very good place to take kids. Less busy now that there are capacity limits.
This place is a must go, when visiting Toronto. Located by the CN tower, it is such a a great experience for kids and adults. You will learn a lot for sure.
Loved the aquarium, it is huge and has a great and varied variety of fish, and other sea animals. I saw sharks, octopus, jelly fish that amused me. Totally coming back the next time I visit Toronto. Loved how the staff was in the water to help feed fish with their hands, treating them like their own kids. This one thing was the best ❤
Fun but so crowded. There's no social distancing at all. Best for COVID super spreading event
Great place to visit, especially with kids. It is certainly more geared to entertaining youth then adults, but the fish are wonderful to watch. There is good selection of fish to see and some very nice large aquariums. The only down side is there are way too many visitors. We were told to social distance, but no one did this. People where 'trying' to wait their turn at each aquarium display, but it was obvious the aquarium was quite over filled. The moving ramp through the bubble underwater aquarium was by far the best part of the aquarium.
Took my daughter on her 4th birthday. A few areas in the play area were closed but the timed tickets moved quickly and we had a great time. Totally recommend!! We had lots of fun and learned about species we wouldn't normally be able to see. Lots of hand sanitizers. Fun for any age. I plan to visit again!! :)
Good place for everyone
We loved it , great experience with lots of fun details
I've been coming to Toronto few years and have always had the intention of coming here but never got the opportunity. I brought my best friend here for her special day(it was both of our first times) and we absolutely loved it. The under water creatures are incredibly beautiful. There are so many different stations with all sorts of fish. So many different colours, and you actually learn so much coming here. I would 150% recommend coming here, you will have so much fun
This place is always perfect. I'm glad it was reopened and we were able to visit it again.
A 2-3 hour worth activity to do with the kids. We have 3 boys (13,3,1) and they all loved the place. The price is also reasonable and we only have to pay for our 13 year old boy, myself and my husband, the younger boys are free. Because of CoVid, some areas were closed but then with so many attractions, it didn’t matter. My kids particularly loved the biggest aquarium where the sharks and the stingrays are. They can’t get it over it that we have to go back and see them before we proceeded to the next attraction. With these being said, I’d say it’s worth the penny. Oh, I’d like to add, my 3 year old boy cried his heart out when we exited and was banging through the door saying, “Open the aquarium.”????Word of advice for parents, make sure they spend enough time and that they are more than satisfied before deciding to head home.????
Amazingly presented. Well worth the money. You can do really relaxed. More like all fishes over you and you can look at what you like. You can complete it in 4 hours at max. Must see if visiting Toronto and residents as well. In the end, you can touch the sting rays which is a plus followed by the usual insanely expensive cash grab called gift shop to end it
Used to volunteer at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and have visited quite a few aquariums in the world. Naturally, I find my experience at Ripley's to be quite underwhelming. Moving beltway is the highlight of my trip and Ripley's deserves a bonus star for this innovative approach to exhibits. Probably worthwhile to visit on a CityPass, but many might find this aquarium disappointing if they have been to countless others around the world.
Visited this place on a weekday evening. It was a good experience. There are a lot of different species of sea animals which you can see here. Most interesting ones were sharks, tortoises and jelly fish. They have a special kids section where they can play some games. I would recommend to buy the tickets online as the offline ones are costlier or you can visit after 7 to save some bucks.
Excellent experience. Absolutely loved petting the sting rays and they seemed to enjoy it too. A must go if you are in Toronto
Excellent, specially the Dangerous Lagoon tunnel. It's amazing how they control so many sharks. It's one of the must visit places for kids to learn about almost all of the aquatic species. Oh! and the giant Jelly fish aquarium is so relaxing and calming.
Definitely worth visiting. Wide variety of fish and other marine animals - sharks, octopus, sea turtles, rays, beautiful jellyfish, and more. Really enjoyed my visit.
Love this aquarium! Especially the underwater tunnel! Pretty amazing!
Wonderful experience. Purchased tickets online for a specific time slot. Easy entry. The moving walkway is just amazing. It keeps patrons distanced and allows you to get look around and snap your pictures. Great overall outing for 2 adults. There were a lot of very young children running everywhere but you get what you get.
Nice aquarium! Tunnel view is the best!! 1 hrs - 2hrs to explore with kids.
This is the fourth time I've visited the aquarium, same ole, same ole. Still a great place for children and new visitors, however, I am really saddened that there is no longer a picture souvenir option (they'd take a picture of you and whoever, with you backdrop choice and make that into a key-sake).
Seriously one of the best Aquarium out there. It's well laid out, the tanks/glass are clean. The variety of fish is great. Kids and adults alike will love it! There are a lot of activities on top of the fishes... Tunnels, interactive games and learning... And a pizza vending machine :).
I love this place. Although, for anyone who dislikes noise, I recommend you pick a time outside school hours (mon-fri). Lots of field trips!
We had a wonderful experience at the aquarium even during Covid. It was so nice to get out and do something. It felt super safe with sanitizing stations everywhere, people cleaning and sanitizing all the time, and the best part we were always by ourselves with the marine life. I think we saw a total of 26 people the entire time we were there and it was easy to distance from everyone at all times! The exhibits were fantastic. There was a lot of information about what we were looking at and at all times we could see the creatures close up and personal. I highly recommend this aquarium.
This was so cool. I could spend all day staring at everything.
Whenever I come to Toronto, I go there. Everytime, it's different. It's a wonderful place where learning is fun. Great place for the children also, you can take them and they will NOT be bored ! Plus, you can touch some fishes !
Amazing experience. Great place to go enjoy a part of the world you normally would not have access too
Nice place for a family activity but pretty expensive for a small size aquarium. I have been to aquariums in Osaka, Hong Kong and in the States that are much bigger and cheaper admission ticket. It's a go once and never return.. unless your kids beg you to go.
Well done Ripley's. Displays were well organized and very clean. We had an interesting and informative visit. Would have been 5 star but for the fact that some Covid protocols were not being followed. There were more guests than could be separated by 2 meters and some hand sanitizer machines were empty. Will definitely return when this crazy pandemic is finally over.
A little smaller than expected but the ray fish are absolutely amazing and you get to touch them!!
Going on a Monday morning, at 10 am, during the pandemic.... This gave us from 10 til 12:30 to take our time, no crowds, literally no one there.... It was amazing. The staff are extremely friendly, they have sanitization stations everywhere, and they stopped letting you put your hands in the old hands on exhibits which I greatly appreciate because who knew what people had on their hands before... Especially now... I want to go back already!!!!! Loved it there. Best aquarium we've ever been to.
Totally worth the money , full fun for a family outing. Washrooms are super clean . Didn’t had a time to capture photos so I took some screenshots from my videos ????as it’s not giving me option to add videos . Totally worth for those who loves sea creatures.
It’s a really huge aquarium with variety of fish and aquatic flora and fauna which we never usually see or came across. The collection of fishes ???????? they have are really huge and awesome. They have so many rare aquatic life like king crab???? , electric eal, etc. They have so many sharks ???? and they have variety of jelly fish, sea horse.
Can't wait to be back. What a delightful experience. Well maintained, great staff. Such a gem. Toronto is a great city, in part, because of this place.
A great place for kids. Friendly and helpful staffs . I also appreciate this place because there are many small science / exploration games for the kids. There are many small but useful games like this. It is very good. Children get lots of information about fish and marine animals. They are seen and touched again. And they really like that.
Our family picked up an annual membership. Lots of things to see. Haven't had time to explore everything as our three year old daughter loves the indoor playground best. If you bring young kids with you, bring an extra shirt and pair of pants as they have a water table with floating foam boats that kids absolutely love. As a result, they may get extremely wet. Aside from that, the attraction to see is the glass tunnel. Undoubtedly, it is breathtaking in person if you've never been before.
More than I expected! Sharks and jelly fish dark wall! Need I say more? The underwater conveyor belt is obviously the main attraction. But don’t miss out on touching the rays in the open water tank.
Kids had a great time here! So much to see and do.
It was a really amazing experience for the kids (and adults). We were there for hours. The shark area is crazy! We loved it!
If you want to connect with the ocean and feel the adventure with your little ones to be inside the wild of the ocean, this is the perfect place to go! 1000% recommended
I really enjoyed my visit to Ripley's aquarium of Canada. Next to the Boston aquarium it's one of the best ones I've visited so far. The variety is big and everything os well documented. The prices are on the higher side but justifiable. Definitely would recommend this to everyone interested in marine biology and underwater creatures. The highlight is certainly the u underwater tunnel, which is impressive..
I was impressed by this attraction. It wasn't the best aquarium I've ever been to across North America, but it was certainly very good. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. There were many exhibits and everything was well maintained. It still feels very new. A few more interactive age appropriate things would have been nice, but overall a great experience.
When I was there!! Look loke that I am in the Sea !!???????? beautiful
So far the best aquarium we've visited. The tunnel was a very nice way to see the sharks and rays up close. Even though the playground was closed, the kids were still able to play with the little water game. If you are visiting Toronto a recommend this place.
Had a great time here with my family. It was not overly busy and we felt comfortable the entire time. The self serve pizza machine is pretty cool in the little eatery area. I would recommend parking at 120 Bermner Blvd, we paid $12 for roughly 3hrs.
We had a great visit with our 5 year old grandson. Very interesting even for adults. Budget at least 2 hours if taking a child. Lots to see and do, only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there are only 2 washrooms. At the beginning of the tour and at the end. Another midway would be very good considering small children usually can't wait.
It was a wonderful experience! Seeing the aquatic life from a new angle :p
Absolutely amazing my 3yr old was just fascinated with all the different kind of fish, the beauty that lives in water is phenomenal. Definitely go a bit expensive for us adults but worth he visit for my little ones.
Entering the aquarium during weekend afternoon wasn't too bad as we expected but some areas were pretty crowded... Its our third time at Ripley's. It's fun to go as always I wish they have more shows...
Everything is orderly and on time, we had a great family time going through this aquarium… my kids were really excited.
Beautiful place for a date. Must visit atleast once. The Jellyfish are the highlight of this aquarium.
Ripley's Are One Of My Must Do's On Any Visit Anywhere. Being A Animal Person Aswell The Aquarium Was High On My List To Do. Everywhere In Toronto Is Great With Covid In The Sense You Have To Show You Have Had Both Vaccincations To Get In Anywhere. We Did The Aquarium At 4pm And It Was Really Busy. I Thought With Time Slots It Would Be A Little Quieter But It Was Packed. The People In Front Of Us Had Tickets For 5pm But Were Still Let In. Walking Around It Was Very Hard To See Many Things Due To The Amount Of People Crowding. The Best Thing Is The Jellyfish Wall But Again We Moved On Quickly Due To The Amount Of People. We Would Of Liked To Of Stayed Longer And Been Able To Appriciate It. Overall It's A Lovely Aquarium With Beautiful Displays .. It Was Just Too Busy.
Good experience I liked it Fully crowded The bad thing in this aquarium is usually there are lot of staff to guide tourists and visitors in other aquarium Lot of fishes And good variety of fishes ,they should mention the fishes from seas
Good number of exhibits. The best part of the aquarium is Dangerous Lagoon! Amazing view of Sharks, Tortoise and other fishes!
Amazing place for getting marine life knowledge. Quite fascinating specially for kids. Others items are bit expensive. A fabulous tourist attraction. Adult tickets are bit expensive as compared to other age groups.
My favourite touristy place in Toronto. Despite covid, there was plenty to look at and enjoy. The main aquariums are beautifully designed and well maintained. Everyone gets to see all the fishes and it's quite a magical experience. I've been to aquariums around the world and never really enjoy myself in them. This is the first time I've fallen in love with one. It was so much fun. They have a brilliantly designed moving walkway around their main aquarium too. Only one of the sharks I saw seemed a bit sleepy on the ground?? They had a band in the cafeteria area and the aquarium has lots of things you can touch with your hands and interact with and plenty of places to sanitise your hands after. Places to crawl under and into for different perspectives and other little exhibits inside. Great for adults and kids alike. Some of the exhibits are still off limits due to COVID. The gift shop is the best I've seen in my life. Their t-shirt collection is hilarious (my photo does not do it justice) and they have styles for every generation. They're smart since they know to use a separate company to design then instead of doing it themselves. And the themed plushies are adorable. I've never bought so many souvenirs in a gift shop before. I usually buy none! Definitely my fav place in Toronto so far. Went using the CityPass.
Wonderful place for visiting for everyone of any age. Can experience the beautiful un-imagined underwater world. Must visit this place.
Awesome experience with the kids. They loved every bit of it. A little pricey but worth it for a nice morning out. Would definitely recommend ????
Excellent experience today at Ripleys Aquarium. I enjoyed the timed appointment which gave everyone a chance to get up close and personal with the exhibits. Covid protocols were in place but didn't effect the experience. Each section is well laid out and informative. Lots of opportunities for hands on learning. You can even pet the rays at the end. We missed the divers who were feeding in the tank as we had the very first appointment but weren't disappointed. It took us about 2 hours to go through and we could have taken a bit longer easily! It was a very fun day!
Interesting place to visit in Toronto. Just a bit small and packed
My son thoroughly enjoyed the aquarium. Our favourite part was the jellyfish.
$97 for two adults to go through in about 75 minutes, which was a little disappointing. HOWEVER, it is absolutely worth experiencing at least once! There is a fantastic array of different species and an appreciable amount of information on the Great Lakes' species and history. Like a lot of other reviews, the underwater tunnel is one of the highlights without a doubt, but that said, the jellyfish tank was a surreal experience and my favourite part. All the animals look pretty happy, too!
Great place for kids. Lots to check out and some really well thought out enclosures. It’s nice how much interactivity there is. We had a blast and I think we’re due to head back soon, it’s been a while. It can be a bit pricey but there’s usually discounts if you know where to look. We took the train in from Oshawa to avoid parking, worked out great and added to the fun of the day. Fairly educational for all ages, well kept and maintained. A bit dark to navigate if you have issues with vision but I imagine it’s dark for the little creatures comfort and probably helps with viewing the enclosures. Must check out this place if you haven’t been to an aquarium before.
Relaxing atmosphere, had an amazing time! Highly recommended!
This was our second visit. We visited aquarium during its very first opening months. Fast forward to August 2021, biggest surprise for us were the sizes of those sharks and stingrays! My goodness, they are so big now! Kudos to staff for maintaining the facility. I think they should make cafeteria are bit bigger now to accommodate more visits.
One of my bucket list completed with this amazing Aquarium. I was like deep in the ocean having each and every type of the fish and sea plants with precious corals. The ticket is as cheap as 40$ bucks.
Ripley's Aquarium of Canada is a public aquarium in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The aquarium is one of three aquariums possessed and-worked by Ripley Entertainment. It is situated in midtown Toronto, only southeast of the CN Tower. The aquarium has 5.7 million liters (1.25 million gallons) of marine and freshwater living spaces from across the world. The displays hold in excess of 20,000 outlandish ocean and freshwater examples from in excess of 450 species. The aquarium holds 5.7 million liters (1.5 million gallons) of water and shows marine and freshwater territories from around the world.[7] The aquarium is coordinated into ten exhibitions: Canadian Waters, Rainbow Reef, Dangerous Lagoon, Discovery Center, The Gallery, Ray Bay, Swarm: Nature by Numbers, Planet Jellies, Life Support Systems and the Shoreline Gallery. It is home to in excess of 20,000 creatures. The Canadian Waters show highlights creatures from every one of the waterways encompassing the country. The exhibition has 17 natural surroundings. A few creatures highlighted in this show include: alewife, largemouth bass, American lobster, wolf eel, knot fish, goliath pacific octopus, china rockfish
Went here on Christmas day it was a blast! Booked tickets online and stood in line for 5 minutes for entry. Our son loves the fishes and the venue never disappoints.
Great place to spend time with the family my wife and I love it.
A great visit and the different galleries were well organized with detailed descriptions. A variety of marine life to view and it is an amazing experienc. The octopus and jellyfish tanks were outstanding

Great place for kids. We reserved timed tickets. Checking in was a breeze, no significant line up. The place was clean, numerous touchless hand sanitizer stations were observed, physical distancing was compromised at times, but nothing really significant. Food court was open but no restaurants were open inside. Only vending machines were there. So bring your own snacks.
Amazing experience especially the Jelly fishes ❤️
Took my kids on a Tuesday - played hooky. Not crowded at all (booked for 11) and parked at Impark right down the street from Aquarium for $12 for the day. Very cool. Kids can touch stingrays at end.
It was fun, but honestly way too pricey to want to go to again. There's nowhere to get food aside from a pizza vending machine. I also noticed quite a few creatures with infections. I wouldn't suggest buying the glass water bottle from the gift shop. $20 for a bottle that is incredibly hard to open and yet isn't water tight. Seeing all the creatures and interactive displays was fun, but I'd only go again with a coupon to save money
Well designed, beautiful aquarium. Very impressed by the tunnel part and lots of different sealife to see!
Buy your tickets in advance and you get to skip the massive line to buy tickets. Tons of kids running around but it’s a super unique place (especially if you love aquariums).
it was nice but a bit too crowded
This is an amazing place for kids of all ages. Had a wonderful time here with my family. So many fishes and sea creatures of different sizes, shapes and colors. Best part is the shark tank and touching the stingrays. A must do in Toronto.
Very impressive aquarium display covering both Canadian fresh water to warm salt water species from around the world. The long tunnel walk-through below the surface was by far my favourite. Excellent entertainment value for sure. Lots of interactive stations for children.
We had a great experience, spent about 3 hrs inside. Well worth the time. Very enjoyable.
Wowwww! What an amazing place! Beautiful environment to discover beautiful animals. The underwater path is amazing, you can see fishes and sharks all around you. Ripley's aquarium is a must see.
A little expensive for adults, but probably the nicest aquarium I’ve ever seen. Definitely good for the kids and even for adults
Very unique and one of its kind experience. Great for adults and kids too.
An amazing place. I'd take my kids there very soon.
Absolutely loved this place. Oh My God!!!!!! So many different varieties of fishes and what not. It was fabulous, I loved it.
Not first time here. What's new here, it is a cafeteria. It is an automated pizza reheat (pretty decent pizza by the way) and soft ice cream ("frozen yogurt"). Fishes and sharks are all the same. Pretty crowded on weekends, but we didn't feel any inconvenience. Would recommend this place after the lockdown to start socializing with kids.
My daughter’s favourite place Worth to get a membership We love to take her to the Aquarium !
Great spot to bring the kids. Make sure to book your tickets on line.
The sharks the mantas it was a whole new view of the world beneath the surface of the oceans! Starfish to jellyfish the hard hitting facts and educational capabilities of this aquarium needs to be maintained and well kept for generations to come. Every step was an eye opening experience. I will definitely be doing a return visit. I see trees of green Red roses too I see them bloom For me and you And I think to myself What a wonderful world I see skies of blue And clouds of white The bright blessed day The dark sacred night And I think to myself What a wonderful world The colors of the rainbow So pretty in the sky Are also on the faces Of people going by I see friends shaking hands Saying how do you do They're really saying I love you I hear babies cry I watch them grow They'll learn much more Than I'll ever know And I think to myself What a wonderful world Yes, I think to myself What a wonderful world Ooh, yes
This place is pretty cool for adults and children. The sharks are massive and swim right above you. You can pet sting rays and even watch the bigger ones being feed. The playground for the kids is closed still Due to covid
Overly crowded, I found a lot of the displays kinda dingy. Part of the did play for the sharks was dark, or turned off it was strange. Octopus was out which was nice. I went here when it first opened it was amazing. Coming back it wasn’t the same. I won’t be back.
Great place… kids will have fun for sure.
Great for kids and grown up! Week days in the morning are best as almost empty. They have annual pass which only the cost of two entries if you intend to go back. And don’t forget to check out the CN tower best door.

Amazing place to and one stop te observe mostly all types of different creatures and the sharks cannot say a word to maintain this environment here thousands of miles from the sea its amazing really appreciate Riley’s letting us experience this site in this amount of ticket is really amazing thank you so much.
We loved our experience, my toddler "wow wow wow" all the way through. There are a lot of various fishes/ sharks/ stingray. It's eyes opening. Buy tickets in advance, the line goes in quickly. we saw staffs were cleaning the tanks, hygienic for the environment.
Take advantage of the CITY PASS and visit Ripley’s Aquarium. It’s great for all ages. I stared at the jellyfish for a good 10 mins! It’s very informative, and you will learn a lot. Give yourself about an hour and a half to go through everything without rushing.
One of the best aquarium in the work with more than thousands type of fish ???? if you travel here to Toronto definitely worth the visit.
You have to see it Traveling on moving glide paths, visitors enter the ocean realm and come face to face with thousands of fascinating fishes and menacing sea creatures, everything from barracudas, to rays, to jellyfish, octopi, moray eels and giant sharks! ???? Very nice. ????
We have visited a few times now. This was our second visit during the Covid pandemic (August 2021). They are booking reservations an hour apart. Our family arrived just after our reservation time started and stayed for a total of 2.5 hours. There wasn't a lot of social distancing compared to our visit in September 2020 even though they Aquarium has well marked out spots for viewing and giving distance. Everyone was wearing masks. There were lots of hand sanitizer stations to use and I saw lots of staff members cleaning surfaces throughout the stay. Everyone in our group age 3 to 50 had fun seeing the exhibits.
Lots of wonderful exhibits, but lack of enforcement on social distancing by staff and a general lack of personal space by other patrons. A lot of the interactive stuff is either gone, out of order due to health safety, or it's closed but parents are still letting their children run all over the play equipment.
I've heard so many great things about this aquarium. I couldn't wait to go when visiting TO with my kids. This place truly does not disappoint. Really worth going. There are so many things to see and do there . And the moving belt is beyond what I was expecting. The gift shop has great items and really decent prices. I highly recommend going!!
Places to visit at any age. The experience was good.
Amazing animals on display and being able to pet stingrays at the end? Absolutely amazing! It’s so cool to see how interested they are in interacting with humans! Best part of the aquarium! ????????
We took our 4 month old and he was hypnotized by the fishes moving and the colors that they add on the tanks. And my husband and I enjoyed it too! A place for both kids and adults, and I even saw some teenagers there too. The tickets are expensive ans the food too, but I find it worth it for the experience!
It's wonderful place to visit in Toronto. It was as if we were on a voyage ????????????????....
Awesome place to see fibsh and water
Great place to visit, specially the Dangerous Lagoon tunnel. The jellyfish tank is extraordinary. Highly recommended!
Great place to take kids (and adults too, lol). Live the huge display of sea creatures that are there.
Openiun.com - the aquarium was beautiful. I went there at least 3 years prior to posting this review. So I'm sure some things may have changed. Seeing the marine life up close was magical. There were numerous opportunities to see fish of all sorts and other creatures of the sea. I highly recommend visiting it if you're someone who enjoys seeing marine life. The staff was very kind and helpful.
I personally love aquariums and this one is another on the list of favorites. It's a bit on the smaller side so don't expect a super long visit but still very enjoyable nonetheless. The jellyfish section is the highlight of my trip; it was very aesthetically pretty. Instagrammable too.
This is the best out of the tourist traps in the area. Skip going to the CN tower and see it from the outside. The exhibits here are not only cool, but they are visually striking. Great for kids but not so juvenile that you can't enjoy it as an adult. I love petting the manta rays.
Kids to adults. Every one can enjoy here!
Great place to bring kids of all ages. Each visit is a nice learning experience for them. If you've senior parents, they also enjoy the slow paced walk through. Not too tiring for kids or seniors. The facility itself is well kept, clean, has hand sanitizer available through out. Great option for winter or summer.
The only fun activity to do with kids in downtown Toronto. It is very educational, inspirational, and very beautiful. Every display is a work of art, every organism you see has been made the star of the show in that setting. The sharks swimming above you is breathtaking. As you walk under the waters you see stingrays, sharks, and adorable sawfish. The aquarium has some stations with hands on activities for the little ones so they are constantly entertained. The play area is closed but kids can hang around in the area and have fun.
I went to Ripley’s today after not having gone for about 3 years and I have to say that it was still a really good experience. And it was really cool to be in the dangerous lagoon where the fish swim above you in that tunnel.
I had a great time! What an amazing experience! Got a chance to see some beautiful animals, took some great photos! Wow ???? definitely recommend and will be back.
Great place to take the family. Aside from the beauty, it's also quite the educational experience. Note: advanced booking required.
Great experience. Definitely going to go again when the kids are bigger and covid restrictions are lowered. There's an awesome kids play area that was closed off right now due to covid :(
If you go during restrictions & purchased your tickets online. Be prepared to be waiting on line outside. Got tickets for 4pm. Waited roughly 40 min before we got in. Thankfully it was a nice day & not too cold outside. We had a great time! The indoor play area was closed but still had children in there playing, until staff put up a sign. Had a cool pizza vending machine that made pizza for you, Yogen Früz machine, and some vending machines there for snacks. Overall it was a great experience, not as crowded which was nice. Kids loved it!!
Quick entry, even with Covid protocols. The aquarium is not as big as others that I have visited in the past. But, it did not matter. The way that things are presented make all the difference. Our kids enjoyed it very much.

Wow. This was far more amazing than I had ever imagined. I have never been so close to so many sea creatures! I almost cried because I was only standing a centimetre away from an octopus! An octopus!!! Other than just the classic, expected parts of the aquarium, they have a set all about famous past shipwrecks, and my personal favourite, the tunnel. The glass tunnel is very long - it is like you are swimming with fish, swordfish and sharks! It was absolutely majestic! This is honestly the best way to get close to life from water.
It is such a gorgeous aquarium but smaller than it looks. I do recommend this for family and kids, especially for those that love the marine life. They have so many species and such gorgeous stops to take beautiful pictures. You will love it.

Great place to take the kids, those sharks are insane
It was the first time I have been to an Aquarium and I love it. For my surprise
Ok so after seeing a bunch of aquariums around the world, this one was a bit of a disappointment for Canada. However like most places, Canada doesn't believe in spending much for the tourists it has enough natural beauty and natural kindness to attract folks from around the world. So big or small the aquarium was fun. The kids enjoyed. There's plenty of activities around. Decent snacks on site and at the end the kids have a great happy day. Parking available closeby.
A great place to hang out with your family and friends. We had a great time looking at all the species and interacting closely with sharks and rays. Kids will love it for sure!!!
Great place to visit, tickets are $40 for adults, masks are mandatory. Variety of fishes, displays are mounted on walls for more information about fish species. Washrooms, and wending machines are available. Great place for kids as well as adults.
On recommendation of a friend I finally decided it was overdue to check this out and OMG this is a must for everyone of every age. A tremendous and wonderful experience with a sense of immersion into the underwater world with expansive tour with the joys of our lakes and the seas under one roof to be seen. With COVID guidelines you must pré purchase your tickets with controlled entry times but that's about it as no one is hurrying you thru the exhibits you get to pace yourself while spacing yourself. Very clean thou I'd recommend sanitizer as many interactive (hands on) features. Cost is currently $49 per adult but worth the $.
Absolutely fabulous and awesome exhibition. No wonder they use it in sci-fi TV shows. I'm very cautious when I use the word awesome, like when I've been present at a space shuttle launch. This was almost as good as that. On a darker note, being a sushi lover it made me very hungry. ????
Best experience into the creatures of Canadian Sea.
Great place to visit and to bring visitors. Make sure you order.tickets in advance to.m ensure you get in the day and time slot you want.
Best place to spend time with family ,friends and kids.It was an awesome experience. We visited it during August of 2020. I love the tunnel seeing all kind of fish passing by on top of my head.Loved the Aquarium, looking at the sharks, jelly fish, stingrays, water turtles, swordfish, octopus and other fish.It is a great place to learn about under water animals and creatures. Place was really well managed during social distancing era. Masks were mandatory and proper hygiene was maintained. We booked tickets for aquarium online prior, but it could be received on booking counters available there as well . If you are in Toronto then this is the place which should not be missed.. ????
I would highly recommend to visit this aquarium if you are visiting Toronto. It’s my first time here in Toronto and I pre booked ticket. You need to fully vaccinated to enter now. Learned a lot from those different fishes, even great white shark!!
Really nice aquarium. Gets really busy.
Require QR code for entry but it is no where bolded or stated on the front page. Huge policy change from just a couple weeks back but not highlighted except in the fine prints. Many are caught off by this at the entrance. If you do not have your health card (front and back) info you won’t be able to get the QR code on Ontario website. No way in, it’s the rule. Perfect Sunday ruined!!!!!!
This was an amazing experience. Totally relaxing and informative at the same time. A great place to refresh your mental health while enjoying time with the family.
experience the dangerous lagoon!! awesome and must visit!
Really enjoyable. Has a great collection of aquatic life. If ur visiting make sure u have 2-3 hr dedicated for this to enjoy and cover the whole aquarium.
My kids love this place, we have visited so many times, is awesome.
Looks small but underground, the Aquarium is quite huge with lots of Sharks....
Very impressive aquarium with selections from all over the world and also with specific species in different areas of Canada. The staff were excellent and the flow of the attraction was perfect. Pricing was good for the value. Really enjoyed the amount of information provided in addition to the spectacular displays. There was a lot of engagement opportunities for youth and adults. There were even some "Ripley's" attractions thrown in. The tunnel display is especially impressive. Well worth the visit
Besstttt besssst i really love the view even well organised everything several species of fishes and all water animals.

We got this included on our CityPASS but normally it is $43 per person. This location is just beside the CN Tower and not sure about parking lot. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Very small contact with staff like you can have the tickets on your phone. Coming here, you don't have to have a kid to enjoy it. There is a lot of different species and underwater creatures all around the world. More busy area is the kids area for sure but they also their newest walkalator to enjoy their big aquarium.
Never, and I mean never disappoints! The sights, the experience, the sheer magic. For adults it is eye opening and for kids I can only imagine it is a wonder of epic portions. From the jelly fish to the walking sidewalk to see sharks, rays and others. Ripley’s Believe It or Not is something you may not believe. A great experience every time and a definite must visit in the city!
The aquarium is so awesome and informative. The variety of aquatic life that is Maintained is amazing. Definitely worth visiting with your family.
A great visit and the different galleries were well organized with detailed descriptions. A variety of marine life to view and it is an amazing experienc. The octopus and jellyfish tanks were outstanding
We took our 2 year old and one month old here, it was also my first time! Soo much fun and really cool experience. Would definitely reccomend for people of all ages. The only thing I didn't like was the pizza we got and the fact that we had to exit via the giftshop which with a toddler and stroller was annoying for us all. Otherwise really great atmosphere and a good amount of interactive stuff for kids! It is pricey but will be returning.
This place was amazing! The amount of different fish and sea creatures there to see was really cool. And getting so up close to a shark; to have it swim overhead; very cool! The jellyfish were incredible and I loved the seahorses! ❤ Typically, I probably wouldn't have picked here to visit but because I got a discount from the company I work for, I thought it would be a nice treat for the family. The cost for a ticket is a bit high, but overall, it was a really fun experience!
We had a good time there today! The aquarium is not big, but all the fish look healthy. I saw many kinds of fish here, and I especially like the shark pipe and neon jellyfish display. -1 star is because their tickets are too expensive, it costs $43 for a ticket!
Great place to spend a couple of hours. Amazing gallery of fish. It's actually a good time to visit during COVID19 because it's not crowded at all and you can enjoy the exhibits. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's super easy to navigate in the aquarium and you can find signs almost everywhere. The gift shop has a variety of options to buy from souvenirs to a small something to remember the visit by. There are a number of t-shirts with extremely interesting designs. You'd definitely want to check those out.
Super fun going to visit my first time. I could sit and watch the fish all day!
Is a great place to see while site seeing in Toronto. Perfect for the kids and any parent trying to fill their evening together with them. The only down take away from my review is the odd placement of the cafeteria. Oddly enough it was in the middle of the walking tour of the aquarium and just seemed off, my personal opinion. Other than that a very enjoyable place to be in.
A place where children and adults can see the beauty of the sea creatures.
Visited the Ripley's Aquarium on 09/14 with the fam and I have to say, the experience was lovely. The aquarium is very well constructed and maintained. We got to see the caretakers feed the stingrays and it was indeed a sight to behold. The information placards were extremely helpful to when it came to getting an idea of the fish. All in, we spent close to 3 hours at the aquarium, which was well worth it. The tunnel is very well constructed too. A great experience! Kudos to the team.
Amazing experience, bring the whole family, something to see for any age. Clean, well kept. Kids even got to touch some animals and really interact.
Cool spot but I didn't see much interaction between the aquatic life.
Good for children’s and the ones interested in marine life. Reasonable ticket prices. It’s still fascinating
The way the exhibit is designed, and the way they maintain it by maintaining water pressure, light and everything, kudos
Small but big enough to spend at least 1.5 hours walking and exploring all the exhibits. Was a little crowded when I went because a lot of school field trips probably happen here, but it was an incredible experience. It's a perfect place for children's and adults to spend time together.
Born and raised in Tdot and at the age of 41, finally visited Ripley's for the first time. Absolutely loved it!
Great aquarium and have been there before with my toddler; however, horrible experience with my latest visit during late December. Figured new restrictions would make the visit a more pleasurable experience, but I was dead wrong. Families were constantly removing masks throughout the aquarium for long periods of time, absolutely zero distancing whatsoever, and complete lack of sanitizing/hand sanitizer throughout. Basically felt uncomfortable my whole time there. In contrast, took my toddler to the Science Centre a few days before and it was a completely different experience than Ripley's.
Great place for a fun day out. A bit busy on the weekend but it was great.
This is the best aquarium I've ever visited. I loved everything about this place. It's very interactive and knowledgeable place as well. I was in awe the entire time and wished it lasted long. I am definitely coming back here again.

Amazingly well maintained aquarium with such a large number of speciesof marine life. Truly a great experience in itself and offcourse a learning not only for children but for adults too. A lot hidden information we get to know about each specific fish type and their behavior as well as their preference over bright light and warm weather to low to no lights and cold freezing weather to stay alive with the help of anti-freezing protein their body produce. Dangerous lagoon and Ray bay with glide walk both are my favorite spots. Post Pandemic Access Tips:- 1. Buy ticket online to avoid last minute hustle as they're short on staff due to pandemic situation 2. Bring up your DSLR you gonna use it the most while your visit (You can thank me later????) 3. Keep your vaccination proof handy 4. Carry government photo id card 5. Can bring stroller for your babies 6. Food store are there too for your refreshment and sitting benches too.
Beautiful aquarium in toronto! Have to check it out atleast once!
We loved every moment inside the aquarium. I do feel for the price they could include an audio tour or something of the sort which could make it more enriching and a bigger learning experience. But the underwater tube walkthrough with sharks and stingrays overhead was an absolutely fantastic experience
Ripley's Aquarium brings the sea world to you, with so many sea creatures. It is kids friendly and adults are also sure to have a good time. You will easily spend hours here.
What an experience! This is not your average tourist attraction, it’s so well organized and the underwater tunnel is to die for!
If you haven’t been, this is a place to go with your kids. You’ll enjoy it while exploring the sea world. Kids will love the place and will have a great time!
Very cool with kids! The tunnel is a really nice "feature" :)
Ripley's Aquarium is a memorable place. There is many different aquatic sections. I acknowledged the marine biology information provided. The staff was resourceful. I ended up touching a sting ray for the first time. An opportunity to discover. I highly recommend!
$43 per person for adults. Visited October 2021 with social distancing. Lot's to keep you occupied & do take your children. There are small tunnels to crawl through to get close-up views of sharks, an abundance of colourful fish. Plus hands-on activities to keep them busy. Cafe where you can sit and rest your tired feet and skip the food unless you like a three minute pizza made in a machine and food from a vending machine. Expensive Gift shop available. Altogether our visit was about 1.5 hours and it over too soon. Consider travelling to Monteray California some day and see their spectacular aquarium. It puts this one to shame!
Had to check it out. 2 adults and no kids. We still had a great time. The underwater moving walkway is neat. Would go again
Nice clean and warm place to bring the kids for some weekend activities.
We had a great time at the aquarium. Loved seeing all the fish. It took about 1.5 hours to see everything. Great experience definitely recommend it.
Always very interesting! We had a great time!
An amazing adventure for the whole family. Very busy so approach with patience. Lots to see, dedicate a few hours to be able to see everything. We will be back!
I wanna go inside soon once the pandemic is gone…
The number of tourists is small, not crowded, or the original fish, the number of sharks seems to have increased a lot.
Great aquarium. We loved it. The octopus was amazing. The under water moving walkway was also a high light.
Very well maintained. Beautiful place to visit. Kids had a lot of fun!
One of the coolest aquariums I have seen. The places is really nice with all the lighting. I particularly liked the part where they have moving walkway which makes the tour of the place more accessible and kind of cool. The Jellyfish area is really awesome even with the smaller ones. There are a few activities for good to explore the place in a more playful environment while getting to see the fishes up close. Note: The tickets to the place are easily sold out, especially if there is a game going on at Scotia Arena or if it is a weekend, so if you are planning your trip to Toronto and wanted to see the place, I would suggest book your tickets in advance.
I loved the experience, especially the sharks swimming above you , I find it better than all of those I visited
Recommended place for families. It will take about an hour to go through maybe longer with the little ones ????
Nice place to visit for kids. I don't know why the cost is so expensive . I would suggest to visit some other place that is worth the same amount of money. But , the aquarium was well maintained and the place maintains proper covid protocols which is good.
We have visited in 2020, summer, it was a great experience. The tunnel was impressive. Kids loved it, we loved it, the place followed all the covid-19 safety procedures, so it felt safe. The place is very clean and cozy. It was definitely a stress free zone and best time of the day. At the end of the walk there is a room where visitors can look at all the filters supporting the Aquarium, very interesting, plus some educational stands for kids to play with. We liked it.
A little outdated and the tanks can be cleaned a bit better. Otherwise pretty fun. Vancouver aquarium beats this one by 1000x tho :)
Two ratings here: 1) The aquarium itself was so much fun as always; I could spend hours there! There's so much to see and it's so fun learning new things each time and petting the sting rays! I would give the aquarium itself 5 stars. 2) For those visiting during the pandemic, if you're still uncertain about going out in public, do not go. My anxiety was at an all-time high. They have timed admissions; however, there is not a set time you have to leave, which creates crowds. Even if it was at half capacity (it didn't look or feel like it), it was very crowded. People are bumping into you, coming up right next to you, not standing in the clearly identifiable "viewing" spaces etcetera. There is a fountain still in use; all touchable/ interactive games for kids were still in use, and I only once saw a staff member sanitizing soemthing-a standstill boat helm (during a 4 hour window), and then they proceeded to walk past the interactive game right next to it without sanitizing it. People were taking their masks off for photos everywhere. During the part where you stand on the moving platform, no one provides 6 feet of space (or any space for that matter). Staff were not correcting any of the above-mentioned errors. I felt very uncomfortable visiting during the pandemic.
A good aquarium- especially for kids and families. Highly recommended.
Went here on a date and it was awesome. Good for someone that loves marine biology
Great experience for kids. They were frequently cleaning surfaces during our visit. Staff is very friendly. The kids loved the experience.
We visited the aquarium with our children and it was good fun once inside. It was disappointing to have a pre-booked ticket for a specific time, and then to have to wait in the cold for 30 minutes.
No other place like this place around so easy 5 stars. Couple of thoughts though. There are a lot of high touch surfaces for kids so if you're concerned, make use of the hand sanitizer stations that are all around. There's no good dining …
Amazing experience! Its really large and expansive and I would say that if one were to go at a leisurely pace and look and read all the information it can easily take one 3 hours to get through the aquarium. The Dangerous Lagoon was pretty cool
It's the best Aquarium I have been to, The overall experience was great and octopus was definitely a highlight
Took my mum here for MY birthday! This aquarium is flush with fishies and is great for kids, featuring several interactive exhibits. There's large two storey tanks from different parts of the globe, and even a slow-moving walkway (with social distancing circles) fine to take pics of sharks circling over your head!
I highly recommend going!! It is amazing!! Definitely better than I expected! We will be going again for sure!!! Towards the end, there is a spot you can put your hands in the water and touch shrimp and stingrays. SO AWESOME! This place is great for kids of all ages 1-99????
We had a good time there today! The aquarium is not big, but all the fish look healthy. I saw many kinds of fish here, and I especially like the shark pipe and neon jellyfish display. -1 star is because their tickets are too expensive, it costs $43 for a ticket!
One of the best experiences of my life. My son love it. We were there around 3 hour
I had fun and saw a lot of interesting creatures. The jellyfish were one of my favorite and the entrance with the big aquarium that house the large school of fish swimming was cool. It was fun and would definitly go again.
A wonderful day with the family!!! Our young son LOVED all the fishes. The aquarium was well laid out and very educational yet fun. If you go get the timed tickets and plan your time to the shows you want to see. It is very easy to get to …
I cannot explain how much i enjoyed going to this place. I wish i had gone to this place earlier. I would definitely go to this again and again and again. Its fun for everyone. Theres lot of activities for children.
I would consider this one of my top 5 worthwhile must see venues in The Six! If you can secure ticket discounts from your company or other forums, do so to offset the cost to enjoy this magnificent downtown Toronto water attraction adjacent to the Rogers Centre. You don't have to be a kid (although there are plenty running all over the place) to marvel at what lurks below the waterline in the deep and dark divide of our lakes and oceans. My favourite was the Dangerous Lagoon exhibit with it's moving pathway so you can concentrate on the view on both sides and above. Just amazing and somewhat frightening the size of that Green Sawfish (Pristis zijsron), the Sand Tiger Sharks & Green Sea Turtle, and the Giant Groupers (Epinephelus lanceolatus). Don't forget to visit the Cafe (with a pizza vending machine) and the Gift Shop of course. Yes, I know it is the ONLY EXIT OUT!
Excellent displays of the underwater world.
This place never fails to amaze kids and adults regardless. Highly recommended to buy tickets in advance. We went on 26th dec and the food court was not manned however there are automatic vending machines. There is a hot pizza machine which makes a small size pizza with the toppings of your choice in 3 minutes, also there is a frozen yogurt and juice/shake machine. There are a few snacks and drinks vending machines also. You would love this place. The whole thing can be experienced in 2 hours if you are with kids which includes snack time.
An amazing experience. Well equipped, with proper information on all the species. Really enjoyed reading the fun facts and viewing various exhibits.
Very good, a lot of kids but it is expected. The aquariums are well maintained, the fishes are great, the exhibitions are diverse and keep you entertained with facts and little activities along the way. The whole process of getting in was flawless since we got our tickets online. Overall it was great.
Great place for kids and adults! Great experience and very well run! Highly recommended!
WHAT A DAY!!! Spent 9.5 hrs at the aquarium yesterday with my 3 yr old. Some may think that’s crazy. Some may think that’s too much for a toddler. It was AWESOME!!! She had the time of her life playing all day with the sharks, the rays and seeing turtles, scuba divers feed the fish and finally passing out on the bench in front of the jellyfish exhibit. After an hour recharge nap, it was off to see all that the underwater world had to offer again, including some more play time at the crab petting area and the indoor park! I followed her all day just enjoying the aquarium from a 3 yr olds eyes and at HER speed. No set itinerary. Just wander the exhibits and read as much as I could about our underwater world. This place is so informative and descriptive. They really did a great job designing the layout. Offering a single pathway through the whole building, gives you the ability to systematically knock everything off the checklist before finally visiting the gift shop to grab a souvenir for the old and you d alike.
It is a perfect to let a toddler run around safely. Tip for parents: Make sure to bring a special treat or save some fruit for towards the end as you leave. The only exit is through the store. My toddler loves all the plushies they sell.. we barely have enough space for another plush!! It's everywhere! So bring a treat or buy the whole store.
Visit Ripley's Aquarium and immerse yourself in a world of 20000 aquatic animals and discover your own underwater adventure at Ripley's Aquarium of Canada!
Great experience for the family, a small outing with friends, or a date. Went on Dec 26th and it was a little crowded. Following the directed path within the aquarium can run you about 45mins to an hour depending on how fast you go. I would definitely go again, but not super often. Like twice a year is good enough.
Love the tunnel very much! They keep it very safe and make sure not over floor! Everyone is very excited to see sharks!
I highly recommend going!! It is amazing!! Definitely better than I expected! We will be going again for sure!!! Towards the end, there is a spot you can put your hands in the water and touch shrimp and stingrays. SO AWESOME! This place is great for kids of all ages 1-99????
We love this place! Amazing place where you can get entertainment and relaxation at the same time. Excellent therapy if you are stressed. I feel so calm every time I come here. Everything is beautiful! My kids love to come here. Food is not so great though. But, you can get a good variety of snacks. A very nice play and pictures area.
Awesome family visit. Great hands on area. Lots of habitats to see. Enjoyed the visit with the family. Kids love the tunnel through one of the tanks. Up close and personal with the sharks.
Recommend pls visit this place.you well love it..it worth paying 23$ for adult admission.
What an amazing experience. The route is perfectly laid over the Greater Toronto Area vis-a-vis downtown, right next to astonishing CN TOWER. A tip - if you're residing outside Toronto and carpooling a friend or family member from Lester Pearson International Airport, a trip to CN tower is worthy adding 1-1.5 hrs tour of AQUARIUM
This place was awesome. There are many things to do for kids and even afew exhibits for adults. The staff was very freindly and some of the exhibits were breath taking like the jellyfish exhibit or the glass walk through. I am giving this a 4 star because it is more of a kid thing. Final verdict: Amazing!
Really great aquarium. There’s plenty of sea animals to see and the place is very well maintained.
Nice aquarium, lots to see with a large variety, quite a large facility. The tunnel was the highlight where you would be under the aquarium seeing all the difference fishes ???? , sharks ???? , turtles ???? , etc. Overall nice facility, with lots to do with your family(quite kid friendly also). They have a small restaurant inside also.
One of my bucket list completed with this amazing Aquarium. I was like deep in the ocean having each and every type of the fish and sea plants with precious corals. The ticket is as cheap as 40$ bucks.
Bought a city pass and this was right beside the CN tower so it was perfect. It felt a bit crowded compared to the other places we visited. There was a line to get on the moving walkway but it was worth it. We were able to socially distance and see sharks, sting rays, and other fish above and beside us. It was really fun to pet the sting rays as well! I’m just not sure how safe it is for the sting rays as people are using hand sanitizer due to covid and then petting the sting rays…would recommend!
First time I knew about those place was maybe 3 yrs ago when it was hosting shark week. Been wanting to go there ever since and somehow always ended up in Niagara falls instead. My daughter loves it there so we kinda kept going. Last …
Great place to take the kids. Be prepared for some line-ups but once you are inside everything moves quite well.
What a great time my family it's a great place.
Great place, very well organized and lots of marine life varieties. Display is top notch.
I had a nice experiment..my kids love it
The underwater tunnel is definitely impressive. A good place for family or couple hangout. The major downside is 1) the jellyfish tank has too few of them inside which makes it hard to take good picture and 2) the souvenirs are not attractive enough (in terms of design) to make me open my wallet.
Was great to get back inside the aquarium, this time with our 5 year old.. Kinda misunderstanding with the private hour online booking which makes you think there will be less traffic inside with the co-vid rules in place... There was just as much people inside as before ???? a few exhibits have been taken down like the horseshoe crabs now replaced with shrimp.. All in all the place is like before, same exhibits, nothing new other then the main exit is also blocked off making you exit through the crowded gift shop ???? which makes me wonder how much they really care about social distancing then making more money from the kids wanting to buy a stuffed toy ????
Wow, so I have attended Aquariums before, but no place quite like this. This was my first experience at Ripley's Aquarium and I can say that I highly recommend it. It has a large variety of different fish and sea creatures. I was a big fan of the Sea Turtle who just wanted to do laps. He made the fish look lazy... What a great educational time, really well done. ????
Nice place for Weekend time.
The aquarium is awesome! Great for all ages. They have done such a great job of it being engaging for everyone at every point. Also there is a change table in the men's washroom as well which is often an issue in other places for people. The only downside is you exit through the gift shop which is hard with little kids but I'm sure is smart business wise.
If you haven’t been, this is a place to go with your kids. You’ll enjoy it while exploring the sea world. Kids will love the place and will have a great time!
If you're in Toronto, do not miss visiting this fascinating place. Not just for kids, this is a fun attraction for adults too. Seeing sharks up so close is the most exciting experience. Tickets seem expensive but are absolutely worth it.
Great experience. I was walking around Toronto and had a few hours to kill so I decided to walk into Ripley's aquarium and I was pleasantly surprised. They have a great section of fish that are well taken care of. Their exhibits are nice and well taken care of. Their shall tank is impressive and beautiful. It was first time that I had seen a hammerhead shark in person. It was also a first for a Goliath grouper. Overall, it was a great experience and it is a must visit for any traveler.
The bomb dot com. May be fish jail but if you're going once or twice I'd say it worth it :)
Loved it. Great for the kid's Gets hot in there no coat check. Overall great time Theres a cafeteria where u can grab food or eat your own snacks.
Visit it one time atleast it's a must watch thing in Toronto if you get a chance to visit
Honestly, one of the best tourist attractions in Toronto. I've been to quite a few aquariums throughout the world and the most impressive one so far is this one (surprisingly). Great photo opportunities, a moving platform where you slowly go through a tunnel to see sharks, sea turtles, etc. Areas to pet sting rays and shrimp... It's a paradise for adults and children alike!
A paradise for aquarium lovers covering both Canadian fresh water to warm salt water species around the world. It was my first visit to the Ripley’s. It was nice to see one way foot traffic though the place was crowded in weekend. I was awestruck seeing the underwater tunnel, the lightings, interactive station for kids. The jellyfish , shark , sea anemones section were very impressive. I recommend booking the City Pass for visiting this place as that is quite affordable and covers 5/6 major places of attractions in Toronto including Ripley’s aquarium. The pass is valid for 9 days.
Cute little aquarium. U can see the whole place in about 1-2 hrs
Amazing aquarium! We had a great time on our recent trip. The exhibits were all amazing. Unlike other aquariums I’ve been too, this one also has a tunnel that goes through the largest tanks. You hop on a conveyer belt and get some of the most amazing views! Highly recommend for people of all ages!
Very nice aquarium with a variety of marine life from different corner of the planet. very well organized. Fairly priced and their collection of marine life is impressive. Def worth visiting .. Bring your camera you will regret not having it or bring a extra battery for your phone if you use it for pics ..????

We got the annual pass and bring three little ones to Aquarium during week nights. It generally takes 1.5 hrs for us to see, play and have snacks at the cafeteria area. There are pizza and ice cream vending machines. They love it and it makes a prefect short trip to downtown.
Great place for kids of all ages!
A nice peaceful place to bring just about anyone.
At some point we went the wrong way, and went through from end to start but luckily we were not the only ones who did this????
Nice place for families, you’ll see things u haven’t seen. A must visit!
Nice place for families, you’ll see things u haven’t seen. A must visit!
We had a really great visit. It was pretty busy, but they checked for vaccination s and masks were on everyone. The tanks were full and clean. We saw lots of different creatures. My 6 aand 2 year olds had a great time. A few things - - didn't see the octopus he was hiding, the jellyfish tanks seem way less full than they used to be, the play centre was kind of closed - no one was enforcing it, and there are no good food options. There's a pizza machine but the pizza is gross. Also, always irritated when the only exit is through the gift shop.
Amazing place to visit. Must see in toronto
Love love love love ❤️ I don't think I could express more on how wonderful this gem is in the heart of Toronto. Way more fun for all ages then the science center (maybe they will take notes lol)
Visited the Aquarium on Sunday 31 October. Everyone had masks on. Social distancing was kept by most. Ana at the shallow touch the Sting ray area was very friendly had answers to all my how’s and why’s she informed me about the newborn sting rays, the sharks and their feeding routine. All nature lovers of all ages will have a worthwhile experience. Tons of information and thousands of creatures in tons of water ???? up
Just loved the place easy you spend full day here and enjoy with kids there are so much to learn they have a huge amount of collection of different fishes
This place is awe inspiring for every age group. I have brought My now 3 year old and my infant - both had a great time. Downfall with COVID the playground was closed and my oldest was super looking forward to it since he played on it our first time visiting. It can be quite pricey and the food is not awesome. But this place is very dreamy and educational for all members of the family
Popular destination for all ages.
One of the best aquarium, I visited. Its my 4th visit with kids, never get bored of it. Great place to educate kids about the sea life. Alot of fun for kids. The tickets are abit expensive. Need to be booked ahead online. Vaccination details are checked at the entrance. Best is, no lineups.Stroller friendly indoors. Even after booking in slots, no social distancing done. But, yes, masks are mandatory inside, even for kids. No outside food allowed, but still seen people munching. The Cafe had also limited sitting space. So, better to go outside and enjoy food.
I found it to be worth every penny. My niece and nephew who i went with together for one of their birthday, they loved it. Good times and good memories
I'd probably say Ripley's is one of the best places to visit in Toronto anytime of the year. I went there by myself and had a wonderful time. Definitely great value of money when compared to CN Tower. The aquarium is very well maintained and you can tell they do care about the creatures. Kids will have a great time here and gets to learn the beauty of majestic creatures under the sea.
Great place.to bring your family to. Get season pass if you plan to come at least twice per year
Great great experience for kids and family… don’t miss this place if you come to Toronto
Great place to experience the under water life. A whole new world to see if you haven't done scuba diving or you are afraid of waters this is definitely a must go for you. Kid also would love this place. So much to see, learn and an experience that you will never forget. They also show how they get the water and how they filter and all, just for those curious minds like me. Hope this helps. ????????
Will never ever get sick of this place. The sea life is gorgeous, well presented, seems happy, and the place is well kept. Staff is great. This was our third visit and we will be back!
One of the Best place to visit in Toronto. Enjoyed a lot as there are variety of fish species although the time I visited it was crowded.
My kids loves coming back here after 6 years. I only gave it 4 stars because there used to be a section with all sharks and when we went back now they closed it. I figured after 6 years things would change but in a way where they would add …
I love this place. Although, for anyone who dislikes noise, I recommend you pick a time outside school hours (mon-fri). Lots of field trips!
IT'S Beautiful ????.
It's good but it doesn't really change. 2-4 hours is all you need and it is quite expensive. My recommendation is unless you have kids, maybe only visit when they add something new or when you miss it.
Amazing experience, tons of educational information. Great for kids and adults! Make sure you go online and book your visit. Right now no walk-in accepted.
Fantastic, I love this place. Lots of different fish from all around the world. And a perfect place to spend some time with kids.
Loved it. Fantastic world of wonder under the water!! Our two year old grandson was mesmerized! So were the adults!! Great family adventure. Highly recommend for visitors to Toronto and locals like us too!
One of the (Must to visit) places at Toronto.
It was a very nice experience, it wasnt packed with people, very organised venue and relaxing environment..Make sure you have your covid 19 vaccine certificate on your phone so you can get admitted in ..
Very nice experience, went early morning on a weekday, so was mostly empty. This made it a perfect experience. Staff were helpful and offered information when we felt lost. My three children had a great experience
The biggest aquarium I have ever visited. It is clean and well organized. The atmosphere is awesome. A great place to visit with friends/family.
Born and raised in Tdot and at the age of 41, finally visited Ripley's for the first time. Absolutely loved it!
Great aquarium to visit, so many different species of fish and mammals. So much information to read through at each exhibit and the moving sidewalk was a great way to view the large tank without getting in others way.
Super enjoy this place...good for family bonding or to any one who wants to spend time with some one...
Had a fantastic time with my little brother and his class here. While tickets are pricey, there is SO much to do. Interactive elements for kids and adults of all ages. I recommend being your own food as options in the cafeteria are limited and overpriced, but the snacks were just fine. I look forward to coming back on a discount day for sure!!
The tunnel was amazing with giant sharks! However, the aquarium is not so big so not sure it's worthy
Glad we went. Great place . Thanks
Kids liked it. Was fun.... Lots of fishes..love the big Sharks... But didn't get to see the big turtles...
It's a place you have to go see once if you live in the city or not. Amazing assortment of sea life. Get to see sharks up close which was pretty cool.
Felt like I was in another world after going through the aquarium .It shows how beautiful the oceans and lakes really are and why we need these creatures to keep the ecosystem balanced.I will be going again and will make an attempt to go paint night and hopefully bring out my fishy other half .
Really neat displays with lots of information. Really enjoyed the aquarium tunnel with moving walkway. Wish the annual family pass was for families larger than 4!
My wife and I had an amazing time. It's a wonderful place to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing and learning about the wide variety of species of fish and marine life. The sharks and stingrays were awesome. The moving walkway is a cool feature. The archway allowed the fish and sharks to swim over your head! Lots of families were there when we were there but still it was a great experience. We look forward to going again.
I have recently been to Ripley’s Aquarium, it’s really nice to see number of aquatic creatures at one place. A very good place for the kids and families.
Great place to get amused.Excellent place to bring kids as well. The moving under water way is the primary attraction. It nearly feel like under ocean. The ticket is quiet expensive but worth it (around 48-50. bucks including tax) since there are a lot to see and experience.
We enjoyed the various marine ecosystems represented with the variety of marine life represented. Our 20 month old grandson son was fascinated. It is very easy for small children to observe the exhibits.
This place was amazing. The walk through the under water tunnel was spectacular!!! The sharks and sawfish put on a pretty awesome show for us.
Had a very nice experience. Spent 1.5 hours and it was worth the entry free. One thing which was missing was the Living Fossil : Horseshoe Crabs.
It Was great to see after 15 months. Amazing.
So much fun. One of our favorite places. We usually spend about 2hours.
It was a nice visit, took us little more than an hour to go through the entire aquarium. Covid restrictions were well followed and overall a smooth process.
Very nice aquarium with a variety of marine life from different corner of the planet. very well organized. Fairly priced and their collection of marine life is impressive. Def worth visiting .. Bring your camera you will regret not having it or bring a extra battery for your phone if you use it for pics ..????
Informative. Allows you to touch stingrays (only). Love the moving-walkway......
Love this place! Kids are 12 and 5 and both had a great time. Timed entry was great, there was no line ups or clusters of people waiting to get in - even for going on reopening weekend. Everything flowed rather well and all the visitors seemed to be mindful of keeping 6ft apart. Sanitizer was set up throughout for convenience, especially around interactive displays. Signs were posted asking you to use it before AND after you use the displays. Staff was very friendly and took the time to explain a few of the tanks with us. Overall great experience! Nice to have some T.O attractions open for visitors again.
It was my 2nd visit and it was a beautiful experience yet again.the staff checked for vaccine passports ,gov issued id and masks , it was crowded but people were trying to maintain distance , the tanks were crystal clear the sea life so beautiful so soothing to watch ,my fav are the rainbow reef it has a nice seating area to watch and the shark tunnel for kids to experience it upclose .. the washrooms were clean too.. the souvenier shop is nice at the exit..
A must do once you're in Toronto, great experience with the sharks going over your head, omg.
It was a great time with the family can't wait to bring the kids when COVID is over
This place is really wonderful! If you never go there, you need to have this experience in your life!
Best place ever. My kids really enjoyed themselves.
People talk to me that's the best aquarium in Canada
Amazing place and courteous staff. Well worth the time.
Aquarium is well done. Lighting in some places was a little dark, and it was busy! Excellent diversity and well laid out.
Glad to have this aquarium in Toronto! It looked really attractive from the outside. We didn’t expect to visit, so we did not planned enough time to go in. Will try to come back in another trip.
Lots to see and learn! After multiple visits it's still doesn't get old. No turtles is a bit disappointing though.
A must visit! for Local and tourist! Fun for kids and adults beware watch out for sharks and sting ray!
Great place to bring the whole family! The aquarium is really well laid out. They even have little steps for the kids so they are higher up to see into the exhibits. There's a delicious cafe and also a fresh donut place to eat. If allow a good 2-2.5 hours to view everything with young children!
Amazing, spectacular scenery. I felt so small next to all the fantastic fish!!!! Great value and excellent staff and venue!!!!
Awesome! One of the best aquarium experiences I've been to. So many beautiful species and habitats. Fun for kids and grown-ups alike!
Chaotic to drive to but... it is worth the drive. My family and i agree that watching the jelly fish and petting mantarays was our favourite part. The sharks swimming overhead deserve a mention as well.
Loved every min the tunnel was amazing highly recommend!
Another must see if you're in Toronto especially for Kids. Close to the CN tower. If you plan on visiting multiple attractions could be cheaper to buy a pass.
Very cool place to visit for the first time. Adults, teens, and kids were all very impressed.
My boy love this place so much!
Such a great time walking through. Although we didn't bring kids, we will next time! A longer than expected wait to get in but..it was Family Day weekend. Very kind staff who were apologetic for the wait.
Always fun to see and learn about such beautiful aquatic life. Great place to explore yourself, with friends, and family. It's not only beautiful to view all of the amazing aquatic life, but also learn some fun stuff along the way!
Ripley's aquarium is amazin with different kind of fishes . We love it.
We have been to the aquarium a few times and it's a nice place to bring the kids but we're kind of over it now. Our last visit this past weekend really put a damper on it as well. They had probably thousands of people throughout the day standing in a massive line up, freezing, outside. I understand vaccine passports are not their fault but they most definitely could have handled the situation better. They had one person scanning for tickets holders and one person for pass holders who get to skip the line. Why not have security personelle scanning people through the line?? In all it was still a good day but they need to reevaluate some things and maybe change some things up here and there to make it more exciting for multiple time visitors.
Very good place! Must to visit!
Its simply beautiful. A mesmerizing experience. Must recommend to visit. Great for kids, they will love it. Book in advance online if you want to visit on weekends. Also you can buy Toronto pass which club with CN Tower and other 2-3 spots and you save some bucks.
Great place to visit for the whole family. I've had a family membership for years. The staff went above and beyond, even looking up my son's membership even though he didn't have his card. Staff at the ray exhibit went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. Highly recommended. Had a group of 6 and we had a blast!
Variety of fish and aquatic animals. Loved petting the stingrays at the end.
Great experience ???? I would see it again
Great place to visit.
Amazing! One of the best aquariums in North America with a ton of variety, interactive displays and lots of fun. The gift shop could have a bit more variety as it is geared more to kids and generic clothes, but overall a wonderful experience! Tickets are well priced and there's easy access from Union Station. Worth going at least once a year, or more if you enjoy aquatic biology.
Such an amazing experience every time. Kids absolutely love it.
Fantastic day for the kids and me. Ages 9 to 45 attended and everyone had a good time.
We had their special Valentine's Day dinner at the Aquarium and it was spectacular! Enjoyed the whole experience and it was a great night. Highly recommended!
Definitely in my top 2 of aquariums, I've visited. Worth the trip, many thing to interact and play with. If you have children they'll definitely have a play with all the things. They even have a small indoor playground
Great place for the little ones with some fun for the older crowd, believe it or not! You'll enjoy almost all parts and experiences in each zone. It's a true must go you're around, have time, and are craving some learning for you and the family. Did you know that on top of the building, there are two shark light decoration pieces that light up at night, pretty cool!
It’s one of a kind experience. It feels amazing to see all the marine species from different shape and sizes ???? on weekends it’s more crowded so would suggest to go on off day so that you can enjoy more and take ur time to see and experience the aquarium
Wonderful place to visit for all ages. We purchased an annual membership when are children were young and even after going a bunch of times they were still excited. Plan to spend at least half of a day exploring, lots of places to sit and watch the fish.
I love the aquarium. I strongly recommend getting the annual pass, will save you time, money and gives you excellent discounts
Well organized. Enjoyed our time there, wasn't crowded. Felt safe and clean. Staff were visibly seen cleaning high contact areas. Hand sanitizer stations were in abundance.
So nice to get out and see exhibits. We felt safe after they checked everyone for vaccinations. A nice day out.
The animal's are cool to see. Was shocked to see how many people were there give the covid policy. It was packed. Staff did not appear to care for social distancing. It felt like the airport to have your covid screening. All in all the place is a win for taking children out.
Honestly such a new and modern aquarium. While they do not have the rarest of sea based animals. They offered a new and refreshing building with beautiful displays. It's educational ability is one of the best I've been to! Worth the money for me for sure
Fun time for the whole family. Though tickets are quite pricey, you can always find some deals online to save a few dollars. Variety of sea creatures, fun ride on the movator.
This is not just an aquarium.. It is more than that.. Definitely worth a visit..
Ripley's Aquarium of Canada It was a fabulous and fantastic place. Many things to do on it. Many parts to watch. Well designed and well controlled. It was a nice place to find many of underwater animals. The price was expensive but I think it was reasonable. I absolutely recommend it
I would consider aquarium one of the best must visit place in Toronto
We really loved this place! It’s a good size (took us about 1.5 hours) and there are some fun play areas for kids. Our son (3.5) loved it! I liked the long underwater tunnel and the jellyfish and stingrays. It is pricey but I found it worth the price. However, at that price it’s not really accessible to all.
I’m a big fan of aquariums and this one is really nicely organized, interesting and rich! The descriptions are well made and the people working there very friendly.. good job!

Our first visit to the aquarium. It was nice having one way flow of foot traffic and were able to see everything. It wasn't as big as expected but the underwater tunnel is the best part. Not sure if it's worth the price given it only took about 90 minutes to go through.
Great place for a date, has nice views and definitely provided us with a good time. Definitely overpriced though.
Need to reserve online on Ripley's aquarium website. Great outing for the family! Huge place and really exciting! Many many different aquatic animals. The sharks were amazing! Wonderful place & must see! We toured the aquarium twice! Well worth it.
Took our residents to go see the Aquarium. They loved it! I was impressed with their protocols in regards to infection control. They had sanitizers every few feet. Very organized.
Really enjoyed Ripley's Aquarium at Toronto! It's not the biggest aquarium I've ever been to but definitely one of the most beautiful. Its moving promenade and tunnel are amazing! All the tanks provide great views from different perspectives and the fish all look really cool.
It was amazing as soon as you walked in. Would definitely go again
Lots to see and learn, great for children and adults alike. Definitely a must see in the city!!
I absolutely loved it! It was amazing walking through and seeing all of the different sea creatures. I really liked that at the end, you're able to touch the sting rays. I'd totally visit again one day!
Great experience! Note: even at 50% capacity due to COVID restrictions, it can be quite busy and crowded.
Great for kids. Will definitely be bringing them back.
This is the best place if you are interested in aquatic life. You will get to know all species and their lifecycle. Information is kept infront of every tank. The exhibit is quite simple to follow. Loved the underwater tunnel which contains sharks, turtles, sting rays. There's another section for whole jelly fish which is amazing. At the end you will find the life support system of this exhibit. There is a gift shop as well. Aquarium is maintained properly and staff is quite friendly. At this time, mask is mandatory and almost after every tank you can find sanitizer dispenser. You can get tickets online as well as through counter or even use Citypass.
Beautiful aquarium, just one déception, most of the plant in the aquarium are fake.. I hope that with time they will invest in the plant as well for the fish to be in a really perfect environment!
Great place ... absolutely out of my words to describe how bog this place is - with the number of fish tanks and variety of fishes. The shark tank is just awesome , with so many sharks. The rainbow tank has so many different colors and types of fish!!! Jelly fish section is so beautifully and artistically managed.I just loved the place.
Came here with the family including a newborn. This is a great place to visit for an afternoon. Lots of things to look at and learn about; just take a look at all the photos I've uploaded. My top three views are the sharks, jellyfish, and the water processing plants. I just wish there were nursing stations. This would be very helpful for new families/parents.
Beautiful sea creatures!
We had an impromptu visit to the aquarium. Pro: We enjoyed the visit. My children had a blast and very educational. I hope you have more hands-on time slots. Con: Parking is terrible. I found parking about 8 blocks away as I have a passenger van. I have to carry my 3 year old, and the grandfather had a difficult time walking with a cane.
So many things to watch and very exciting. I could stay inside all day if my legs aren't tired.
Great exhibits so I will still give 4 stars, however it was way too crowded. We went at 10 and there was a long line outside with one man trying his best to ask people to wear masks since many people weren't. They were letting everyone in quickly, however it caused huge crowding in many of the exhibits. They really need more people working at the aquarium inside to ensure social distancing is happening and to time the entries better. There was no social distancing inside and we had to go through the crowded spaces quickly, so we did not get to enjoy our visit.
Very nice aquarium. It’s quite big (it took us around 1 hour to visit). If you really want to take your time, it can be a little bit longer. The big aquarium (dangerous lagoon) is worth the price. There is some sharks / turtles / nice fishes / …

Wow experience and it just stays beside the CN tower. Knowledgeable and fun to see. Lagoon is so good. Kids enjoy the place a lot. Families should take their children to this.
Wonderful place to visit for all ages. We purchased an annual membership when are children were young and even after going a bunch of times they were still excited. Plan to spend at least half of a day exploring, lots of places to sit and watch the fish.
A little pricey, but overall a good experience for myself and my kids. Lots of unique and interesting sea creatures to see and learn about. The tunnel is the best part in my opinion, but the kids said that being able to touch the sting rays was the best part for then. At the time of this review, you needed a vax passport, mask and ID to get in. FYI
Acquarium .... a must see. Enjoy it with kids and have combo ticket with CN Tower.
Great experience for the Kids, it's a bit short tour but kids will love it and grownups to
The best experience i ever had in my life..so close to the sea world. During this pandemic time also staff has maintained the proper cleanliness with safety measures also. Everyone should visit with their family to have a day out with the aquatic scenes.
Amazing place. Lots to look at. The moving sidewalk is so neat . To see turtles and sharks swimming around you
This is one of the best tourist spots in Toronto and I'm so glad they opened it a few years back! There is nothing that compares to seeing colourful jellyfish float around you, or stingrays smiling at you. The shark tunnel is really interesting as well. My favourite part is near the end, where you can pet the stingrays. I live in Toronto and go here every year, just because I enjoy seeing the animals so much.
Great for kids young and old ???? We had a fantastic visit! Highly recommended buying tickets prior, and arriving early. Long lines are the only downfall, covid restrictions so no play equipment available but still an excellent outing!
It is a great place to learn about under water animals and creatures. It is a good place to go on a first date with someone. Lots to talk about during the date, no silence moments. I find it that you have to take your time and read to enjoy it. For you could be done in a half an hour if you just walking by everything. The starfish were great to watch when they were moving. Amazing creatures. Place is air conditioned. Bring a sweater for sometimes it is too cold in the aquarium. Great picture opportunities in the aquarium. Great things, products to buy there for memories.
There’s a lot left to be desired about this place, the aquarium wasn’t that big.
