Very organized location for vaccination

I used to visit at Chris Gibson, the doggy area with my little furry friend and have lots of fun in a clean and well kept area, oh no today. The City of Brampton used to deliver better care to parks and recreation centers, what's happening? Keeping hopes up????

Great park to take a jog, walk your dog, play sports (such as baseball at the baseball diamonds or soccer at the soccer fields), and enjoy the view of the little creek and surrounding nature.

Three are some open spaces, a dog park, as well as facilities for soccer and baseball here. Today my son and I took a short walk along the path that runs next to Fletcher's Creek which runs through the park. Like many parks in Brampton, it's blighted by graffiti and illegally dumped garbage.

I love the dog park there! It is very clean and well looked after, the best park to go to when it’s wet and mucky out. I go there every day with my dog. Dogs and owners are very nice and friendly, rarely ever a problem there.

The leash free area is not very big compared to other dog parks but it is well maintained. The dog owners are also very responsible.

Splash pad is clean and operational, baseball diamonds and soccer fields are well kept. But the parking lot is rough.... If you have a lowered car be careful

Nice Community Center. I only used the Multipuroose room and it was big, had washrooms next door, and the side door opened onto a big field. I recommend it for family functions and birthday parties.

Has improved a lot over time. New benches for dog parents to sit is a nice addition. Most of it has been covered with wood chips this summer.

I went here to play a soccer game and the nets are horrible very uneven and the Gras is horribly kept. The soccer field is enclosed and there is only 1 entrance so if you kick the ball over the fence you have to run all around to go get it.

This park is beautiful to walk through with a babbling brook, wooded areas, and lots of walking paths. The off leash dog area is green and shady with several seating areas and an interesting landscape.

The Chris Gibson community center is smaller compared ton the other community centers, but has plenty of parking and is relatively busy. Due to the smaller size the amenities are limited which means not all activities are offered here.

We have for 65+ vaccine in Apr 2021. You'd need to wait in your car until 10 minutes before your appointment time, then you go and wait in line which is designated for that a time. In the line up you'd need to do Ontario Screening. Total time 1 hour - from lining up outside, to getting the shot, waiting 15 minutes after the shot, and leave.

We had rented a room for a kids birthday party at this location, and it was a really nice place! Clean rooms, air conditioned, and good to go. Very reasonable for the price.

The rec centre has room rentals for events and is reasonably cost effective. Has skate rink with adult and toddler pools separate. Also has swim lessons for the all.

Top notch baseball field. Been umpiring on this field for the last 4 years for 18-21 year old age group (Junior Senior) for BMBI. The grounds are always maintained. The downside is that the grass could be cut regularly but that lies with Parks and Recreation but then we know that they can't always be there. The only solution that the league contribute to the city and contribute additional funds in order for that to happen. Again that's not my department I'm just an official that is told to report there on my Wednesday nights from 6 pm to 11 pm and then go home. Though I am astute to some extent on politics this is not the arena to express and debate on the subject. That's to discussed in another forum. Perhaps the people of Brampton to do. Myself included who's lived here for 42 years of his life. But as I like to say that's another story for another time. The other advantage is that there's a variety store across the way and Tony & Jim's for pizza which they hold up their end of the bargain. As for their veal or meatball sandwiches. It's a homerun out of the park.

A beautiful place for a walk. A few ball diamonds to play with the kids or for fun. Paved trail connects this area and connects to further trails- great for bike rides. An off leash dog park is available as well.

Nice bike trails in behind as well as a dog park, and baseball diamonds. Soccer fields on the upper level. Bike trail leads underneath the CN trail tracks and towards Fred Kline and eventually the McLaughlin valley trail.

Wasn't here for recreation. I was here to get a Covid vaccine shot, and I must admit it was a pretty organized event. In and out within 35 minutes. Bravo Brampton!

Open and grassy grounds, maintained spaces with paved for walking, cycling and strolling trails, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, playgrounds, gem off-leash dog area, Recreation Center (now Vaccination Center) and plenty of free parking. Add meandering Fletcher's Creek cutting through it with two bridges across and old trees. If you don't like parking at rec center you can do it at another entrance, further north on McLaughlin Rd or on eastside at the corner of Haggerd Ave North and Railroad Street. This spacious park is for all, fully accessible, even for hawks. Worth the effort. Yours to discover.

Dressing Rooms far to small for men's seniors hockey however showers are the best in all the small areas in Brampton.

Pool is very small but heated so nice for people who have injuries. They also have a lifeguard on duty and they do a great job in keeping kids safe. 2 kids per adult if you are bringing the kiddies. Very clean changerooms
