Worth visiting once. $40 per person pass. You can take your own car inside or you can go in their bus which needs $5 extra. You will get close look of all animals. Don't forget to watch bird's prayer show.

Prachi Munjal

Highly recommended. It's a place full of activities. The safari itself is very good, and on top of that there are several live animal exhibitions which is great. Great fun for kids as well with lots of water-and-other activities.

Nafisa Hoque

Beautiful experience. Very close view to the wild animals.

Shivam Srivastava

Again a fun place for kids... Lots of different kinds of animals you can see... Best part u don't have to walk you can drive n take glimpses of all animals.

Fardad Soleimanloo

Fun place to go with family to have a nice day watching exotic animals have a picnic and playing an awesome water park for kids. I strongly suggest to rent a car if you're going here. If you go with your own car it's very possible that monkeys rip few pieces off your car while you're passing through their section. You can bring your own food and picnic somewhere, or you can dine in its food court with foods like pizza slices, hot dogs or chicken fingers. Or you can grab something in the barbecue hut right beside the water park and have it with some beer or some nice cocktails.

Hands down a great experience. Even now with Covid and some experiences closed like the splash pads for kids, boat rides, elephant ride and others, the kids will love it. The day was hot and some animals preferred the shade. However, the amazement for kids, the closeness to them, and seeing them here without world travels. I only wondered if they offered bison steaks ????

Amer Sarfraz

It's a great recreation for the whole family. We took our 3 and a half year old son and he thoroughly enjoyed, may be not so much the safari ride, but the birds sanctuary, bird show and especially the wall climbing and water park. Highly recommended.

Chantal Sarkis

If you’re looking for a crazy experience and would like to see some animals that we don’t see every day, African lion safari offers you the chance to drive your car through a wildlife park that includes some dangerous animals like lions, cheetahs, rhinos... and other animals like kangaroos, monkeys, elephants etc... this park also has 3 different animals shows that explain more how those animals lives, hunt and survives in real life. You can also experience the elephant and pony rides, have a quick train ride or go in a small fairy to see all sorts of animals. Kids also love this place because there is a water park where they can play and swim all day. It’s highly recommended!

Manasa

A good place to visit which is open from 9am to 5pm. We can spot various animals which roam around freely while going in the car or bus(10$ per person). There are even shows of birds and elephants which have certain timings. It was quite sunny when i visited, so make sure to keep yourself safe from the scorching sun when u visit.

Bao Dinh Nguyen

Its a cool place but after sometime in the safari i got bored because you just keep watching animals. But other than that beautiful place, must visit in rainy days.

Ryan Benech

Great ride. It was nice to see the well cared for animals in large paddocks. The facility was well prepared for social distancing and our family had a great time away from our screens.

Ram Kumar Pentela

Incredible Lovely place had fun during visit . A drive-through about 1.5 to 2 hrs experience a variety of wild life , artificial habitat are arranged for them. A great collection of wild species can be found from vast countries. The beautiness of animals ,birds displayed in a awsome way. After drive-through a different variety of birds????,elephant ???? can be visit by walking ????‍♂️. Its suggested to stop the car ???? aside and take own time to look at them. Overall experience is amazing ????.

Joon Hee Moon

Fun, fun, fun! You can see lots of beauuuutiful animals. There is a little train ride where you go around a pond also, there is a boat that goes around little monkey islands with a guide.(In summer, you can play in a pretty big splash pad)

Wyatt Thompson

Our second time as a family here and must say it's always a great full day of fun for all. Staff is very friendly and very caring for the animals. The shows are all lined up so that it's easy to see them all. Lines are not bad at all to wait for the train or boat ride. Tons of activities for the kids to do and animals to see. Will for sure be back again and recommend 110% you check them out. It a fun for all ages young and old. Enjoy!

Nagabandi Dheeraj Kumar

Safari is so nice for kids to enjoy. Tiger is usually not seen as it sits somewhere on the tree. The entrance people are so nice and easy. If your kids are close to 3 or above a little bit, you can sneak peak ;) You need to maintain time to make sure you attend other shows. It’s a very good family visit in the weekend.

Aubrey Gregory

We had a great family time here . The African queen boat ride was fun too ????

Rishana Ajmal

Great place to enjoy a drive through experience with animals. Except for Cheetah all animals including lions, giraffe, zebra etc are in open space. Really loved it. Couldn't watch the bird show as it was closed. Overall great experience.

Bansari Patel

Amazing place for family outing and if you love seeing animal in thier natural habitat You might be lucky if a lion crosses your path

Patrick McEnaney

A blast! Did Wake up the Wild and it was totally worth it! I LOVE giraffes ???? and we got to get up close in the truck and feed them. They love carrots.???? And it was cool seeing the lions eating their breakfast. The tour guides were a lot of fun and taught us a lot about the animals. Thanks for the awesome day!!

ANU B NAIR

Sooo great. The animals look good, there are many different species. It's a must see when you are around. You can visit even in bad weather - stay in the car and enjoy - take photos.

ANU B NAIR

Obviously a great place to visit. This place have so many endangered birds and animals. Overall it was a nice ride in the car and we can see the animals much closer. It is a good idea to reach here before the afternoon so that you can enjoy the entire trip. Walking is allowed in the area of birds and elephants.

Leanne

Always such a treat visiting African Lion Safari. I loved the lake tours by pontoon boat to see the monkeys and birds on their own little islands. It’s worth purchasing season passes if you are planning on visiting more than once a season. You can bring your own food and have a picnic on the lawn. Or you can buy from their restaurant or food truck.

Waqas Abdullah

It was a great fun to here. A lot of wild animals and great experience. During our free train ride we end up having rain and that made our ride so beautiful. Must visit specially for kids as well as adults..

Ahsan Shah

Great family day out. We went round the safari twice, as I felt going round once didnt fully justify the price, but going round twice made up for ???? The bird and elephant shows were good too, so make sure you make time for them. We managed to find $2 off coupons online, with a quick google search. I am sure there must be more ways to save.

Anushree Warrier

GREAT! So many close ups with animals while driving through. Kids loved the splash pad!

Ridhima Suri

Well.. it was very nice activity, quite expensive, but I would say it was justified. The safari in the car was nice. We can see those lazy lions relaxing and other …

Emmanuel Dibiagwu

The Lions are real. Giraffe is quite tallllllll. My daughter enjoyed the wetplay at the water splash area. Extremely nice experience.

Samir Baksh

A great drive through experience! Loved being up close to the lions and rhinos, its an absolute joy when the animals walk past you. The size up close is aww-mazing! …

Stephan J

Good place to spend a time with the kids and family. Kids enjoyed the drive through, parrots show and the slides/rock climbing.

Shams AbuBakr

Nice Experience. Good for family and group trips. You can tale own vehicle as well as get bus. Chose a noce weather for better experience . Too cold or too hot makes animals go inside or hide. Nice splash pad and other activities for kids

Tina K

Amazing splash pad, you get up close and personal with alot of different species. Bring your own food because it's crazy expensive and make sure you have AC in your car if you're doing the safari part because windows must be up.

Tina Noir

We went last weekend Sept.15, 2018, it is greatly reduced admissions perhaps because the splash pads are closed and it is off season. Our 8 year old son loved it, especially seeing the animals so close. Watching the elephants go for their swim was especially nice. We were worried about the baboons running so close in and arround the moving cars that they may get run over. We brought a cooler to have a picnic by the pond where the elephants have their swim, parking is right across from it so it was easy for us to have lunch while watching them. Afterwards we drove through the safari one more time so our son got to wave good bye to the animals. Oh and we did have one of the baboons hitch a ride on our side view mirror :)

Salman Almishari

Best zoo I have ever been. It has drive in with the animals, shows, water park for kids, variety of animals and barids. They also have a train, boat rides. Definitely, worth going there. I really enjoyed my time there.

Hrishikesh J C

Amazing day trip and fun for the whole family. The shows displaying the Animals were very cool and learning about them was interesting. The park was very clean all over and the staff across the park were all very friendly. After a fun day seeing the animals in the sun the splash pad is the best way to cool down. Great experience for everyone!

Mark Qian

Perfect place for a family to enjoy, or with a companion. Great educational shows. Well trained animals. My family and I had a wonderful time.

Kanwar Sran

Great place, great animals ????. This place really is fun for the whole family. It starts with a car 'safari' tour of the animals that you drive around in your own car. You get very close to each of the exotic animals. They are up to an arms length away from your car. There are so many lions, zebras, giraffes, and rhinos. Personally, this experience is far better and more intimate than anything you can get at even Toronto Zoo. The car ride alone in worth the price of admission, but it gets even better once you realize they have a whole zoo/park grounds. This includes a Waterpark, climbing course, show, train ride, and boat ride! In addition to this, there are many more animals to see like elephants, owls, macaws, rabbits, pygmy goats, and bats. The food itself is also surprisingly filling and they have good funnel cakes. All-in-all, this is a great summer daytrip!

Guelph DGC

Very nice place for kids and adult there is a lot of animal and it is very safe kids have fun with water toys

Roopesh Dhara

Loved the safari. The game reserves was the best experience I’ve had here. The shows are timed exactly so one could cover all three shows one after the other. These shows are quite informative for the less informed and really demonstrates what they chose to emphasize about the creatures. The monkeys weren’t a bother to me as they didn’t harm my car at all.

Reena Naik

Remember to pick the right day to visit, I regret going on a burning hot day!???? ????

Jaspal Singh

Visit with small kids last weekend. Place is amazing and we'll maintain. The place is located in forest area with beautiful surroundings. Animals are kept in good conditions generally and kids can real experience seeing them. Sadly water park and animal show is closed right now. Also I feel that there should be electric tour bus as there are too many vehicles inside the park emitting GHG.

darryl hurs

Was a cool experience driving through the areas and seeing that most of the animals had lots of room to roam. Sadly the monkeys are not out as they are being protected during covid which is understandable- but they are a big part of the experience.

Jacob Labonté

It was great experience to see wild animal Roaming around in open area. They also have different animal/birds/reptile shows which educates us about wild animals/birds/reptiles. There is also water rides for kids and a train ride which gives you a tour experience around the park. Overall it's a good educational and entertaining place to visit.

Robin Hillstrom

Great day adventure, the splash park really made it work the money.

Sriram S

Wonderful time here. It's called as Safari; although I would like to state it a "drive-in zoo". There are enough patrol vehicles guarding the animals and the visitors. So you don't need to worry about getting in contact with wild & dangerous animals. Just remain seated in your vehicle with windows rolled up, does locked. We planned to spend 5-6 hours and we did spend covering almost all animals/exhibits. We didn't get to see a Cheetah. But we were entertained enough by free roaming monkeys. There is a huge wet play area for kids. They have splash pads, water slides etc. Good for kids and adults to cool themselves in the hot sun. I found this place popular next to drive through reserves. Birds of Prey flying demonstration was cool. We could not make to Parrot paradise and Elephants & Friends show. And finally, don't forget to cap it off with playful elephants swim. There is something in those elephants which can make me watch them all day.

Manmeet Rakhra

It was wonderful only thing I hated is that it rain so hard you could hardly see.

S K

Incredible experienxes. We saw lions, giraffes, deers, and host of other animals. There's also a bird section where you can walk through, which had so many species of bird we didn't even know existed. Some of its sad to see, but thats what the zoo is.

Jonathan Lau

It was a great drive through experience. We were able to see all animals very closely from our car and kid loved seeing them. The picnic area near the food court is great as well. The birds and elephants space was far and we had to walk all the way just to see one elephant. Apart from that, would rate this place as a 5 for sure.

jose antony

Good safari experience just a couple.of hours away from Toronto. Should atleast visit once. They have Waterpark, short boat ride and few restaurants to make it a complete experience

jose antony

African lion safari is a great experience for whole family, especially for Kids. The parrot show was awesome. My little girl enjoyed the show.

Sridhar Kapila

Didn't see as many animals as I had hope for but the boat ride and train ride kind of made up for it.....the kids had an awesome time at the mini water park...

Mehnoor Rizvi

A great place to spend your day with kids. The best part is there is no Hassel of purchasing tickets at different counters as the cost of all activities is included in admission fee. Only bus tour cost a petty amount. My kids loved the water park too. They also have some good food courts and washroom are located at every sight seeing place . Overall a good expenditure l say ☺

Babli Saikia

Beautiful place to spend your day. Its different than what you get in Toronto zoo. We did drive our own car and it was real fun, specifically near the monkeys. They were all over our car. There is 4 different shows, it was fun and informative. Parking was free also with boat ride and train ride.

Pouyan Zamani

This is the second time we're going there. Every time we have guests from outside of the country, this is the place to visit. The safari and driving among the wild animals is a great experience. The presentations were incredible, including the talented parrots, the elegant bald eagle and owls, and the artist elephant. Great presentations and great efforts to preserve some of the endangered animals and help mother nature. That being said, I wish they were using less plastics in the food court and shops and offered more of the usable and washable dishes to make a good example.

Bipan Dhillon

Was great fun. Ordered tickets online, scanned from mobile at the gate, no surprises there. Lines were long at 11am though, so come early for less people. Was a bit shocked at the amount of people, actually, when supposedly at "limited capacity" because of COVID. But everyone was pretty respectful of space when we did get out of our car, at the water park, which was perfect for the kids. And odd bonus was learning that they had gas available for purchase!

Rob Hiebert

It was a lot of fun for our first time there. The actual "safari" part wasn't all that great, since the monkeys weren't there due to Covid, and the rest of the interesting animals were very few and far between (we saw maybe 5 lions, but none of them were very close, and they were hard to see). We saw a bunch of deer, bison, goats, etc; that's about it. The rest of the park was more fun, and the water park was great for our year and a half old child; the water park would have been even more fun with a kid that's a little older, but it was still a lot of fun. All in all, the actual game reserve part was definitely the low point of the park; I'll probably go again in a couple of years or something, and hopefully there are more animals, and the other closed off sections of the park are open again. I feel they should lower the price while the park is only about 75% operational due to covid.

Kristena Lopez Arroyo (Brownie Family)

Be sure to have the AC working in your car otherwise you will be baked inside the car (obviously in summer). We are not allowed to have windows down throughout the 1hr+ safari. Other than that the safari is ok with the chance to see all animals. Because of pandemy not all animals like elephants, birds were available. You can take the time for a picture of the animals. The sleeping lion is nice. Nice experience to see the animals crossing in front of car. Splashpad is wonderful for adults and children. No pets allowed inside. You can bring your own food but restaurants are also available inside.

Saurabh Kumar

We had a great time as a family at the park. The kids loved the animals coming close to the vehicle, the boat ride, the train ride, the bird/lizard shows and of course the water park. I would recommend anyone going to go first thing when the park opens and go on the train and boat right after your drive thru the park.

Lily Sousa-Bernardo

My kids love this place! By the time they are tweens though, their interest wanes quite a bit, so they don't want to stay long. This place is geared mainly to ages 10 and under. Tip: Print off your online ticket before you come. The employees were struggling with scanning the tickets on people's phones. It really held up the line. I whipped through very fast because I brought a paper ticket. Duration: You could stay here for the whole day if you want to cover all of the activities, and they might spill over to the next. Activities: A drive or bus ride (no bus ride right now due to COVID) through the game reserves. This is one of my favourite parts. There is nothing like seeing a giraffe standing right next to your bus! They have a big play structure with slides and balls (no balls right now due to Covid). They also have a variety of animal shows: birds of prey, parrot, and reptile show. They used to have an elephant swim before Covid. They have a waterpark equipped with waterslides, underwater playground, water dump bucket, baby swings, wading areas, etc. You can see animals throughout the park. They have an education center with animal bones in them. For rides, they have a boat ride and train ride. They have an area that you can see some pets like a massive bunny, etc. Favourite Activities: My kids' favourites are the waterpark and seeing the animals. My teen still appreciates seeing the animals. My favorite activities are seeing the animals on the bus tour, seeing the elephants in the park, the boat ride, and the various presentations. Food: They have a huge number of options, but they are pricier than buying from regular places. They have pizza, burgers, salads, ice cream, etc. Food huts are located throughout the park. Rides: The train ride takes around 10 to 15 minutes. It takes you around a pond, and the conductor points out some animals. Personally, I think this is the least interesting and educational activity, but if you're tired, it works to take a ride. I didn't time the boat ride, but it feels a bit longer, and it's definitely more enjoyable and educational. When to arrive: If you want to beat the crowds, arrive before 11:30. If you arrive as soon as it opens, you will notice a dramatic difference in the quantity of people. Stores: They sell a lot of trinkets and stuffies in their stores. Covid: Masks are required inside buildings. I would estimate around 10% of people wear masks outdoors. It becomes very crowded at around noon and most people don't make any attempt to physically distance from you. There's a very small amount of eating space indoors; most of it is outdoors. See my pics for more information. See my pics for what I have discussed above.

Always had a soft spot for this place. Seems COVID has made the animals more friendly/interactive (maybe they missed us?) Used to come here with my family when I was little and now I’m taking my kids… it’s certainly a family favourite… even if it can seem expensive for a family… they have great attractions, a wonderful water park my kids loved, and as more things open post-pandemic, I’m sure the experience will only get better again.

Susie Borsuk

Great place for families. Clean and reasonably priced. Animals seem to be well cared for. The bus is air conditioned, which was nice on a hot day. A bit of a wait for the train ride, but the kids loved it, so that makes it worth the wait. Overall a nice family day.

Jay Oh

I only went to drive-through experience and it was amazing! There were giraffes, monkeys, lion, zebra etc. Monkey was the scariest in my opinion. If you put food on outside of your car, monkey would come up on your car! Here is some photos

Shiju Easo john

...the kids love this place... its a good option for places to go during the pandemic as you just need to be inside your car and drive around the safari park to see the animals... Amazing!!! we had a great time...

Raman Johal

Very good experience. My kid enjoy a lot, friendly staff...

Casey Hardman

It might have just been the day and time I went, but it was way too busy to fully enjoy the experience. Not only did the drive through the grounds take too long, but most of the people kept rolling down their windows, stepping out of their vehicles, therefore making it almost impossible to get a look at some of the animals. I remember going when I was a kid for the first time, and it was such a blast! Going off that memory, it would have been 5/5, but 15 years later, sadly became a 2/5. Still worth going though.

Sunil Shrivastava

By far the best place to see Lions roaming freely in there zone. Overall a great place to spend some time and see wide variety of natural beauty. There are a lot of birds as well in this place. For kids there are a lot of activities so it’s a great place for family.

Marco Riyal de Torres

First time visit and had a wonderful time. You have the option to take your car through the game reserves or the bus tour (around $5 per adult). I would recommend the bus just to reduce the amount of cars going through and less hassle overall. Parking space was enough considering its Canada Day and there is a small water park type area if you are taking any kids. Bring some water, snacks, small backpack or even small tent/picnic blanket and enjoy your time there.

Saloni Bhatia

Worth the money spent. Beautiful location and drive to this Safari. Lot of stuff to do. You can spend whole day with family. In ease of your car you can see all the animals and you easily get to spot them. Souvenir shops are there and places to eat. Small water park is also there to beat the heat.

Zaki Arshad

Awesome place for the family. Kids will love it. It is a LOT of walking. Some folks take the season pass although we have done it a few times in a daytrip. The elephant and bird shows are quite good and are not to be missed. Splash pad for the kiddies, tons of space for a picnic, they have it all.

Bibaswan Ghoshal

Great park! The reserves are a great experience considering this is in Canada! Loved the open spaces except for the Cheetah! The conservation effort for the birds is fantastic and the educational shows are totally worth it! However, using the birds and mammals for entertainment purposes should be controlled although the conservation efforts make up for that!

Steven Tang

We orders tickets online for the time it opened. We are glad we did as it obviously gets very busy mid day. The safari is only half of the Adventure. Once you're done there's great activities such as a water park, play structures and more animals to see. We went on the train scenic tour and it's very beautiful. Highly recommend as a great way to spend your day as a family!

Jenna L

Great place for a safari. Only problem was when we were there on a Tuesday most of the food places were closed at 11:30 am and the water play area was great but too cold and scary for my 4 year old. Other than that a great place to see a few animals, the best ones were on the bus tour that you have to pay extra for. Good value for money? Not really. But a nice place overall.

Avi I

Go for a full day! No CAA for a discount currently. There are only 2 shows which are great, although felt rushed. Animals seem to be well cared for, staff were knowledgeable and nice. Lots of picnic areas so you can bring your own food as …

Hassan Awan

Amazing safari experience, gave me feeling of real Kenyan safari park. Good for all age groups. Best for large groups but families with younger kids will have more fun. Teenagers might now love it very much as its all animals and most kids love more entertainment.

Alan Jacob

Great place to bring your entire family and spend the entire day there doing the safari, watching the birds & animals shows, boat ride safari, a mini toy train ride, kids splash park and good food. Had a real fun day.

Jason M

Park has a few shows but otherwise you’ll be done it in about 2-3 hours. The best part is the water play area and of course the safari. Take the coach for $4.50 to hear facts throughout the safari and not worry about the monkeys!

steve christian

Enjoyed the great safari. Life time experience, and that too in your own car. Worth visiting with friends and family kids would love it

Patel Jay

African Lion Safari Is a nice place to visit with friends and families. Its a good learning experience about animals, birds and different creatures. Staff is friendly at all points and you definitely will have a great time with kids. Don’t forget the Parrot paradise show.

Hammad Aslam

Great place to go. Might even enjoy more than Toronto Zoo. You can drive through the as many times as you want. As well as fun shows inside after you park. Food not great and pricey.

Jacqui F

Amazing experience. Very well planned and a lot of big animals. Very active forest rangers all around to keep the area safe.

Shab M

Brilliant safari experience. The driving portion was good as you can do it at your own pace. Ideally should take 60 minutes but some people were taking their time. The other half of the facility has a quick boat tour for 10 minutes, train tour for 10 minutes, bird shows, playground, fast food joints and gift shops. We will be back next summer!

Tailish Laller

Great place to have fun with family and exceptional for kids! The Lions are really cool and a sight to see, after the Lions there isn't anything as exciting except for the Rhinos, Giraffe, and Zebras!! There are tremendous elephant, birds of paradise, and hunting birds that they show off. Just be aware of what time you are going to the Safari because the traffic can get pretty bad, like.

Babak Ak

Here's my experience in a nutshell: - Loved the animals especially lions, rhinos, bisons and ostriches. - It was overwhelming crowded and you had to drive in a long line of cars and wait for a long time before you reach to a location that you can see the animals.

Tahmid Kazi

One of the coolest attractions I've been to in awhile. There's tons to do other than just the safari car tour (which was awesome on its own; seeing the animals so close and roaming around doing their thing was really nice), and you could easily spend all day here. All 3 of the shows (parrots, birds of prey, and elephants & friends) were super informative and entertaining, and they're all perfectly timed apart so you you can watch all 3 one after another regardless of which you start at. There is also a water park for children, and a boat tour and children's elephants rides. Watching the elephants swim around during their bath time was super cool too, and one of them even sprayed water as it bathed. Would definitely come again.

Sherry G

Great place to see wild animals up close. It gives a better experience rather than seeing them in a tight enclosure(which has always made me a bit sad). The place is really good for kids as I believe it is a one of a kind experience which …

Chetana Divakar

Plan to spend a while day here. The reserves are ofxourse amazing with a wide variety of animals. The water park , boat ride and train ride are so much fun for the kids. The live shows were very informative and a perfect way to end the day. There are ample food options too. Get there early and have a smooth experience with no waiting times at all

gurpreet gill

A beautiful place to visit. They have lots of animals including White lions, Giraffe, Doe, Moose, Monkey, Cheetah, Kangaroo. They host 3 shows: Birds of Prey, Elephant Skills and Singing Parrots. Pro Tip: while watching Elephant one, sit at the front and take a looney with you. You won’t regret. The food is little costly but tasty. Must try Funnel Cakes. Check weather and go on sunny day if possible. I went on a windy day but still had a good view of animals.

Chantel Bourgeois

Lots to do for the whole family! We loved being able to drive through and get an up-close and personal experience with the animals! Theres a couple fun parks and an amazing splash pad for the kids! Lots of animal shows, food/drink stations and washrooms! Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day :)

arun koshy

A nice place to take your little ones to. You get to see a lot of animals and birds while sitting in your car. Weekends could be a bit jam packed.

manoj kalia

We could really enjoy the animals in their habitat. Kids really enjoyed the afternoon, water park was fun too.

Jakob & Ska

We actually saw lions in close proximity. All 5 stars for that...1 hour of safari was worth it. They have other activities for kids too like slides, splash water fountains etc.

AMOH FINANCE

Went on a Monday, September 9th, park was extremely empty. Drive through was fun, no cars, lots of animals out walking around, doing their thing. Lions were active and the main attraction of course. Monkeys were calm and did not jump on the cars or cause any damage. Overall loved the drive through. Indoor park - train ride was great, kids loved it and driver was nice. The shows were fun especially the elephant show. Petting zoo for the goats were fun for the kids. There were no elephant rides, pony rides, concessions stands open at all during our visit which kind of sucked for the kids so pack some lunch, food, snacks, if going during the low season. Overall a fun place.

J Lorenz

Bathrooms were clean and food is affordable. Must be 38 inches to ride the slides( which was disappointing) and 36 inches do the obstacle course. My only complaint is the price for elephant rides ... being $5 five years ago $8 last year and $10 this year. This will likely be our only visit due to price increases.

Amina Gomaa

Great to take the kids there! The waterpark/splash pads are amazing on a hot day! Drive thru (game reserve) is still great although would have loved to see the monkeys there! The kids were waiting for them I am too sad they canceled the elephant, camel, and dogs show! I think it was the best out of all! It’s now replaced with reptiles show.. We still enjoyed the place and everything. I recommend going early to finish the drive-thru, boat, and train before it gets super busy!

Susan N.

Great time! My 5 year old loved it. There is a lot to do!! Plan to stay for most of the day. The animals are interactive during the safari. The entry fees may seem steep but it's worth it.

Sriram Venkataramani

Had an amazing experience with family. Must recommended to go in summer!

Mac Uno

There were a ton of animals to see, minus the monkeys (due to covid they were not onsite) . It is much better tha n going to the zoo in my opinion. The animals have space to move freely and you can get really close up at times. Fun experience for the family , my two boys 7 and 4 were very happy and excited . My only problem is actually the souvenir shop... I didn't find the items they had were good in quality or price.

Excellent drive-thru safari. A very good collection of animals and birds. You get a chance to see some lions, rhinos, zebras and giraffes up close. A must visit place if you are in the GTA area.

Wendy M

The Safari itself is amazing. Being close to these animals was definitely an amazing experience. The only downfall to this place are the some of the people that visit. Shout out to the two young men who decided it would be a good idea to take a washroom break in the lion section. Next time you decide to do that, I hope a lion greets you face to face. Also when park staff tell you to not feed the animals and keep your windows up, it's not a recommendation.

Kaashif Vandal

Nice place, but I don’t like zoo (personal reasons). The ideia that the animals are “free” and we watch them from the car is cool, but it’s a little bit confuse where the car should go or not. The restaurants are cool, I loved the ice cream. The splash pad is amazing! For sure the thing that makes the ticket be worthy. It’s perfect for kids, but I also loved, so I would borrow a kid just to go there ???? Washroom is clean, and people are nice, but it is a little bitty pricy.

harshdeep vaghela

Nice Place for exploring different animals at one place. You can enjoy the whole place, sitting in car. Awesome scenes but you have to follow rules while visiting here. Good food court area as well as parking.

Anu Antony

This was one of the best place to visit if you come to Ontario. They have hell lot variety of wild animals and rare speilcies as well. We can drive our own vehicles for convenenince. The animal would cross the road, may be come to our car and knock on the window????which is very rare that I saw on a safari. Most of the places the animals are like dead becausethey are seeing everyone all the time but here its a differente story????do visit African Lion Safari if you come across Hamilton and Cambridge

Pryda 31

Wonderful experience. Well attended park. Animals were out and about on our visit, even though it was quite sunny and hot. Animals do come close to your vehicles occasionally, and also cross the safari path! Great activity for social distance times since you are in comfort of your own car. The one suggestion I have is that instead of forming two lines of cars, maybe the staff should enforce moving people after a certain time interval. We were forced to form a second line and missed seeing some lions which were more active completely because they were on the other side of the adjacent line up of cars which were barely moving because the Lions were active.

maria khan

Wonderful place for kids, be prepared for a 5 hour: car, boat, train ride, walk and a bird show, kids play area (the water slides are closed due to covid). Last day is October 11. Clean your car windshield and glass windows for better pics ????

Aravind Rajesh

Exciting thing is to take a look at lions pride so close. They have quite good number of well fed lions and cheetah. Other animals are not predatory and I would say less attractions they had in terms of things to do. All shows are must visit and show areas is in the entrance and not inside the Safari area. Overall a good weekend spend location. They have barbeque grills if you bring your own charcoal you can use it for lunch. Bringing lunch is recommended as they charge a bit higher to run service in nowhere land.

Maria Yasnitsky

African Lion Safari although a little far from the Downtown Toronto location where we live is totally worth the drive, especially if you have kids. Highly recommend arriving early towards opening (9am) as this is a full day event. Do the drive through first as it takes about 2 hours if you are taking the time to see each animal. Go on a warm but not too hot of a day since the animals would be more active. Stay on the left-hand side of the drive (some portions are 2 lane some have one lane). All island areas where the animals are sitting / wandering are on the left-hand side. Follow the rules and keep the windows shut as the staff (sitting in zebra cars) keep a very good eye on these things, they will use their megaphone to let you know that you are breaking the rules. A lot of people in the reviews are focused on the fact that they are caged or do not have enough space to roam around, I wanted to let everyone know that is not the case. The 2 animals that were caged were the cheetahs and the Rhinos, both more for our safety, the rhinos that are safe for us were roaming around with all the other animals, only one was separated. Animals are treated very well, and several species were taken off the endangered list due to the rehabilitation and conservation work that the park is doing. Lots of Parking is available and the attendants will point you in the direction of where you need to go. The food is a bit expensive but was totally fair pricing in my opinion. We got a full 16inch pizza and 5 drinks for the family. We were very happy. The lunch area is clean and taken care off, outdoor picnic areas available for those who bring their own food. For families with kids they have a water park splash area and a petting zoo. They have 4 very cool animal shows: Parrot Paradise, Birds of Prey, Elephant and Friends and Elephant swim. All are awesome and very informative. Once I have kids I am going back. Unforgettable Experience. See photos from my trip.

Jatin Bhardwaj

Must Go there with full family. There’s something for everyone to enjoy- wild animals, boat ride, train ride, kids water park, live animal shows (parrot, elephant and birds of prey), so many animal exhibits and super friendly staff members. All this just for $35. Full value for money.

Chaitanya Uttarwar

Loved the safari. Animals are well taken care of and overall experience was great. We enjoyed a lot. However they are not selling tickets on the venue. You have to advance book your tickets and take order # with you. Call ahead before reaching. They close at 16:00

Surbi Beluri

Had a wonderful experience here, great place for families. The price is very affordable and will be money well spent. I did the safari, boat ride, train ride and finally the mega water splash pad.

Pranjal Kothawade

Worth the visit. Highly recommended, full of fun for kids. Requires advance booking. Full day fun, so be there in the morning. No additional parking fee. The safari takes an hour and half, so we went there first. The boat ride and train ride are 10mins each. There are 3 shows, 15 mins each. Very informative and fun for kids. The splash pad is the relief in the hot weather. Everything is included in the booking, no need to pay extra. One restaurant is there but not tried. You can bring your food as the parking is not far away and can enjoy on the picnic benches around. Stroller friendly area.

Yogesh Jogi

Worth it.Nice and close experience with animals , big splash pad for kids.. Keep note of the weather as watching animal shows with sun on your face is difficult :) . Overall nice experience. Carry enough water if going on a hot day.

Lexi Costabile

We had just as much fun as we did 15 years ago! I missed not going on the old school bus to tour around the animal reserve like we did when I was a kid, but all the upgrades made up for it! The splash pad, and play grounds was such an amazing add on! Great place to spend the day with the kids!

Jennifer Eguakun

Loved it obviously certain stuff were closed down because of covid but I still had a really good time. Highly recommend especially if you have kid they’ll love it. These are some of the pictures i was able to take great experience.

Ahmad Ramahi (The RAM)

Visited the safari over the weekend. It was an interesting experience. We paid $30 online but I don't know how much it costs at the gate. You need to just confirm that your car doesn't have a crack on the screen and you're free to drive around the safari. The animals are lovely. The gift shop had a lot of good stuff

Rajesh Narni

Buy tickets from Costco to get a sweet deal - 20% less. Wonderful place to go with family, friends. Have a wide variety of wild animals from all over the world. Truly surprised to see the Asian elephants, which are not used to extreme cold weather, thriving here. Staff are very friendly. Lot of refreshments, good informative presentations about birds, elephants etc. A definite recommendation.

Vicky Nana Adwoa

It was a thrilling experience to watch the animals so close and experience there presence right next to your car. So many other activities to do and a cafeteria that have multiple options to eat from.

Arminder Kaur Kainth

Visited during covid ...it felt very safe with the kids..as staff is cautious and washrooms are also clean and monitored. You stay in your car mostly so feels more safe...staff is friendly and its fun to watch the animals...missed the baboons as that reserve was empty ..looks like due to covid..missed the animal shows as they were closed due to covid. Personally I felt its kid friendly and safe especially during this emergency and covid..thanks ????..

Angela Bianco

Awesome experience. Visit in the morning or evening when temperatures are low. Animals will be more active

M D

Very fun place to be with family, kids love it, if you decided to go with your car to watch the wildlife part, you can do it , but remember to skip the monkey section!! I believe the admission fee is too high , they should consider much better discounts for families and groups !!!!

Rahul Vyas

Great place to see wild animals. You can spend full day at safari without getting bored ????. The drive around the safari is around 2 to 2.5 hours. Great experience. Due to COVID-19 need to purchase tickets online, 2020 Admissions tickets: Adult(13+) | $27.95 Child (3-12) | $17.95

Tanner Russell

Great place for the kids. The kids loved the big splash pad with all the water slides. Lived the boat tour and train tour.

Abhijeet Sangani

Loved the trip to African Lion Safari. Out your guide and bus driver was very knowledgeable, funny and it was amazing to see all the wild animals in the open rather than cages. The staff is very caring towards the animals and the time and money was worth the drive/visit.

Parul Bhatnagar

Amazing Place for spending entire day during summers . Drive thru Safari was really good .Train and Boat ride was so much fun . We loved the Birds and reptiles shows ,they were so entertaining and informative and biggest highlight was such big splash pad.. Highly recommended place for kids of all ages..Must visit.

Jared Zanewich

I thought it was really cool. Lots of animals. Though they should definitely inform people driving through that they should pull over and be mindful of other drivers in the park behind them. Blocking both lanes by being parked on an angle across the road for 10 minutes to look at an ostrich is a little much. People all over the road like it's their first times driving was driving me crazy!

Mahmoud Elbadri

This is one of the best places for family fun. Beside the safari and the animal shows/presentations, the water splash area is big enough to spend the whole day there. There are also train and boat tours. Keep up the great work.

Alfred Tanious

It is a very good place for families and fun, lots of good activities and animals shows to watch. I visited it like 5 times and still enjoy it every time, a very cool and good splash water area for kids. The reasons that I give only 4 star (I actually wanted to give it 3) are: 1) for the splash area they let parent to get in with full cloth to watch and help the kids, hygiene? Very bad 2) they are missing lots of directional sites, so you are lost if you don't know your way and you always need to ask someone, not good specially in a crowded and hot days. 3) the entrance gates and some lines are very slow, we had our own tickets before we go and even thought, we had to stop for some time on the gate, also for some of the trips like the train, too slow. Please try to learn from Disney Land.

mansour alshahma

Pre-bought tickets for timed entry, which apparently is a farce and not required. Definately could use some traffic control on the safari to assist with the people who don't know how to drive. Definitely not following provincial guidance on 50% capacity. This place was packed! Crowded everyone in for the birds of prey show....2m distance and mask wearing, not so much a thing here. Would have been nice if they used the past year to renovate the deteriorating exhibits. Safari was still fun and nice to see the animals, hence two stars still.

Damon Erfan Ghetmiri

I highly recommend this place ! It is really fun to drive through animals in designated roads with your own car! There are different species there and a couple of each one so it is not hard to locate them! Beside the fact that they had cheetah in a cage which is so cruel, other animals seemed to be well maintained ! They also have some animal shows for the kids so make sure to check the schedule for those before starting your tour because they are not as frequent ! There is also a food court there which honestly doesn’t have really good food so it would not hurt to have some snacks on you!

Bharanidharan Rajasekaran

One of the best places for Kids. I personally suggest you to visit in the morning. Lion's were very active in the morning. There is lot of play areas for kids. Note - Due to COVID all kid play areas and some spots are closed.

Tommy

Highly recommend everyone to go here. The animals got really close to cars and it’s amazing. There’s a lot of things to do at the park and honestly really enjoyed every moment. Great experience for a decent price!

Kunal Johar

Very nice experience to see wild animals up close. Totally worth it. Lots of exotic bird species. Do remember to check other park areas after the safari, a lot of events for all age groups and a water play area for kids. Negative points for food, try to bring your own.

mousumi mahanta

Wonderful world of animals and entertainment for family. I have travelled there with my 2 kids and it was once in a life time experience of being in a real world safari but you are at safe zone. The safari ride, train ride, river cruise, the natural beauty, the water park, the kids play zone area all awesome experience. Carry your picnic lunch ,enjoy your whole day... its worth all the money for the entrance fees. All the above activities are inclusive of the tickets. There are bird and elephant show too.

MANPREET KAUR

It was a great experience and they make sure about your safety too and stay around in the area.. water park is fun for the kids.

We've been wanting to go for a really long time and finally made the trip last week with our 2 young kiddos. It was a sunny fall day so most of the animals were out on the drive through Safari, particularly the lions, rhino, giraffes and …

Prince Sekhon

It was a great experience. Went there over a month ago when it was open. It's such a convenience to stay in the car and drive around and see a majestic lion just walking around your car. This is a must experience for people. After the drive, you can eat and also walk around and see a variety of birds as well. It was a lovely outing during these tough times!

Urvish Rathi

Great place to visit with many animals.

Maria Leonard

One of the best highlights of this summer is visiting here. The place is so huge & you can see animals at the comfort of your own car. They also have a small Water playarea for kids. & so many attractions like Elephant lookout ( a lil smelly) but you shouldn't be surprised as its their natural habitat :) You can spend a day here with your family & friends.

Aksa Ghanison

Buy tickets online. Even if your late for your time they will still let you in. Full drive through takes around an hour. But you can go at your own pace. Mornings & evenings the animals are slightly more active

Deepak Sharma

Amount paid worth paying. Children really enjoyed themselves at the amusement park. The boat ride on the island was another given. Amount reasonable and should not be increased at least for the next couple of years

Vikram Patil

What an amazing place. Need at least 4hours to easily see all the animals and shows.. beautiful..the elephant show, parrot show and bird show show done excellent. Kids loved the elephant rides..I will bring kids every year. CAA card give 10% discount..

R Harrison

We had a great day ..alot of things not running because of covid but that's understandable. Disappointed with only being able to buy tickets on line preventing me using my caa discount and being charged 5.99 for processing fees when you …

Caroline Almeida

My son is 4 and he had a full day of fun! The place is very clean, has an amazing (huge) splash pad. My son loved the train ride and the boat ride. There’s a petting zoo and shows during the day. He most enjoyed the elephant swim, make sure to check the show times. The safari itself is nice, it was an opportunity for my son to be out of his car seat (all cars drive super slow there and stopping to see the animals). Personally, I felt bad for the lions. It’s such a small space for them to live in. They are only allowed to walk between the cars , which is fun for the kids, but if they move a bit outside the “area” the staff with cars start moving around to keep them on the spot. You can bypass the monkeys if you’re driving your car. I went on my car 3 times and there was no damage to it. I am considering season pass for next summer because my son really loved his day there.

Tarun Bassi

Good place for long weekend family vocation!

Aditya Samalla

It was an amazing experience! The safari drive is an interesting experience. There is a lot of driving involved. The animals are typically at a greater distance. Deer, bison, and giraffes were among the species that came close. The park is …

S G

It's an amazing place for a day trip... The shows and close view of different animals are priceless.

Oma

It is pretty wild indeed. One problem though, when I visited back in 2017, all the animals were roaming freely while people drove around the safari to see them. I believe that could be potentially dangerous to vehicles and lives. Other than that, it’s amazing!

Arzoo Pathan

Great ???? experience.. awesome place

Alex Duffy

Covid was doing it's thang, so the zoo was pleasantly empty of the usual crowds of people!! Was the perfect time to go!! The elephant swim is not happening until possibly 2021, but everything else is still there. :)

Jeffrey Lai

Simply Awesome! Drive at our own pace. Rain or shine, no problem. Never been so close to real lions before. Friendly staff. Rangers supervising everywhere to ensure our safety.

ATS 555

Went to African Lion Safari a couple days ago. We bought tickets for 2:30pm. We arrived early and was allowed to go in early instead of waiting til 2:30pm. Great experience. The drive around the safari was approximately 1.5-2 hours. Cars stop and go but that's okay. I suggest you take your time and enjoy the experience. Pull aside if you have to. During the time we went it seemed like most of the animals were relaxing or tired. Would definitely recommend!

Chitradevi rajendran

I'll give them 5 stars next year when the petting zoo and splash pad open. My girl was very sad and she cried. :(. Good experience though.

Cliff M

For the entry price, this place has way too much to offer for someone with a young kid or kids. The place has good food, fun activities for kids and even a splash pad! A nice little scenic drive to get there. Animals you can see are season permitting. Plenty of parking and picnic area. Beer on site. Couldn't ask for more.

Shivangi Trivedi

Amazing park a must for the whole family. Don't forget to grab a souvenir as the gift shop has some great stuff.

Olena Ukraine

Amazing! In addition to Safari there were two mini excursions with guide on the pantoon and minitrain.

Jyoti Chopade

Amazing place to enjoy with friends and family specially for kids. There two parts in the safari. In first part you have to go in a vehicle, seeing the wild animals. It's really great to watch when animals are freely moving as it's the real jungle. In second part you park your vehicle, and go for bird watch and some other interactive activities like bathing elephant, parrot paradise etc. However, due to pandemic these activities are closed and you can only view animals and birds in the cage also ticket windows are closed on the spot so booked ticket online. Social distancing is easier to follow here. They also have a food court with different options. I would really recommend the place for all age groups.

Rajdip Das

Awesome place for both kids and adult. Guaranteed to see different animals during safari. Safari duration almost an hour and really wprth it. Apart from safary you can enjoy few live shows, waterpark, toy train and others, all are included in the entry fees. Only you need to pay $10 each for elephant riding. Great place for one day outing with family.

Arun Sarangapani

Nice place for a safari drive through. Lots of animals roaming around while we sit inside our car was a nice experience. Worth a visit with family. But going earlier in the day will help as we could not see the cheetah and few others in the afternoon.

Elhgyne A.

It was fun for the whole family. I am glad we went at late September. Line ups wasn't too long and it wasn't too hot either. Watching the elephants go for a swim up close was a treat. We were also able to watch allthe shows and we were able to enjoy all of it. My kids was also able to ride the elephant. It was a really wonderful experience. It's nice to be able to do it once. It's better if you have food with you because thwre is a lot of space for picnic but if you didn't bring any there is still a lot of food choices in the park anyways. Lots to do for thw whole family. Worth the visit!

Jatinder Maan

Loved it. Its definitely worth it for the money paid. Took a whole train ride, saw all the bird and animal shows and also the safari itself. Definitely recommend it to someone who is looking for a good time with family or friends.

Abinaya Natesan

We loved our day trip at Lion safari this time too. We were lucky enough to see some of the animals very close. Apart from safari ride it also has train and boat ride as well as bird, elephant shows. Plenty of options for kids to play in the water park. well mainted! This is our second visit would definitely come back fr sure.

Zeiad El Kady

Always love going there and seeing all the animals. Would have preferred to go on a weekday as going through the safari it was moving so slow at some points that we were just parked in one are for a long time. Loved the addition of the white lions. Kids loved the splash area. Funnel cakes, deep fried mars bars ....mmmmm. kids loved the elephant ride but sucks that they doubled the price from $5 to $10 per person for like a 1 min right. For those who want to eat some meat and cant eat pork it was great to see halal options.

Kimberly O'Brien

Saw some beautiful white lions and enjoyed the various animals free to roam around. We went the week before school started so it was quite busy and some cars passed others while other cars stayed in one spot for too long making it slow moving. If we went again we’d try to pick a less busy time but overall it was an enjoyable experience for our family.

Esther John (Essylicious)

I came with friends and even we enjoyed it a lot. If you’re lucky, you might get to experience a giraffe crossing in front of you.

Alan Kwan

Beautiful experience watching all the animals.so free and in their natural habitat My son enjoyed it

Darryl Chamberlin

We've been here, as a family of four, a few times now and keep coming back because of the good times on Safari! Staff are sincere, friendly and professional and the Safari experience is second to none. One day is just long enough to experience all the attractions, interactive shows, water park and of course our favourite - the Safari via your own vehicle! Parking is free and food concessions are not outrageous price wise. Get there earlier (10-11am) and do the whole park!

Arul Adhavan

The experience blew my mind! It was above and beyond the expectations. As soon as I entered in the premise, it was a whole different world. So gorgeous!! It's been so long since anyone has gotten out of their house, let alone travel to another country. Such magnificent places in the neighborhood provide an exceptional escape for certain. It makes a huge difference. The wildlife too is very well taken care of and protected. It's good to see that! I would love to visit again!!

Sahil Saini

This park is a must-visit! Lots of incredible animals and exhibits to see, you could easily spend all day here ????????????????????????????????????????

ibrahim pp

No words to express. - You can do safari with your own cars - On site snacks and drinks are cheaper compared to other picnic places - Better to go in group - Ready with your cameras - Enough parking area - Good for picnic Its a good place for one day picnic, especially with kids. There is a small water splash and play area, so your kids can enjoy ( even adults ). No pets are allowed inside the area. There is onsite boat cruise, train, live birds show. All this included in the ticket price. All the staffs and volunteers are so kind and friendly. Note : Its open until sunset, but make sure you enter before 5:00 pm. They close the ticket counter before 5:00 pm.

Pauline Jacob

Loved the place... Well maintained and they have taken good care of safety for all visitors. All the animals were also clean and we could see them up close, missed the train ride, cheetah and kangaroo but enjoyed watching the Lions, giraffes, rhinos, monkeys and deers, in addition the boat ride was a short but interesting one. They also have good restaurants, ice cream place, animal shows and souvenir stores.

amjad walter

Good spot for a family getaway: safari tour, shows, a water park and more

Sukoon Charania

Very nice place for a family day activity. Teens and older kids can enjoy the Safari while younger kids down to 3 years old will enjoy the boat and train rides plus the water park. Highly recommended and a must go for the whole family.

Helen Li

Loved this place! The ferry, train, bus rides are all great! I would recommend sitting on the left side of the bus tour as there are more to see. We were on the right side and wished we knew. All the shows are a must see. It's timed perfectly so watch all of them in sequence. The water park was the best part of our trip and we ended the day with elephant bathing. It was an awesome trip!

Pratik Patel

It was ok. Not to crowded. Alot less animals. Alot less to do.

linta francis

First visiting. It was a wonderful experience. My kids loved.

Kalpana Bailey Singh

African lion safari is a great experience for whole family, especially for Kids. The parrot show was awesome. My little girl enjoyed the show.

Cha Dj

I had so much fun during the bus tour. That extra $5 was worth it. There are so many cars that drove in and they tend to stop and stay in one location for a long period of time causing a delay and kept other cars idle. It’s such a waste of gas. Plus, the bus tour made it easier for us. Our bus driver was very knowledgeable and she provided information regarding the animals and she made it easier for us to spot them as well. If you decided to skip the bus tour and use your own vehicle, you might struggle identifying the animals and you might end up not knowing what animal you are looking at. I highly recommend doing the bus tour instead of driving in. Saves you gas, easier to spot the animals and the bus driver will give you all the info you need to enjoy the tour. I also suggest bringing your own bottled water as it costs about $3 to buy it in the park. Food & beverage there are quite expensive. Try to go earlier as possible as there are already a lot of people as soon as it opens. It will be hard to find parking. When we left at 2pm the parking lot was already packed and it seemed impossible to find a spot. The parrot show was very entertaining as well. You might want to watch and attend the extra shows they have in the park. All in all, I had so much fun. :)

Akumagba Irene

We had a great day at the African Lion Safari! Compared to the other "Safari" in Niagara, this is a true Safari experience for your entire family. 1. Park area. The African Lion Safari is about 10 times larger than the one in Niagara. The animal area, Game Reserves and the play area each occupies about half of the park. 2. Animals. There are way more animals than the Niagara one. Instead of having animals caged, hidden and looking desperate, animals here are wild in the Game Reserves. It takes about an hour and half to drive through the area of 5-6 sections, each with animals from different places all around the world. The animals look healthy, comfortable, and move as they feel like. A few times, we had animals crossing the road, and we were thrilled seeing them close up. 3. Playing area. The playing area is well organized and centralized in the other half of the park. The kids spent almost the entire afternoon in the Misumu Bay Wet Play, which includes a few slash pads for each age group of kids. The water slides and the giant water bucket castle are the favorites. There was also a climbing facility nearby, the kids loved to play with. On the way out, we took a ride with the "African Queen" Boat Cruise, which was relaxing for a visit to the primates and birds on the islands. 4. Presentations. While there were shows during the day, we skipped them this time. But from our past experience prior to the pandemic, the shows are much more worthy to go to than the one offered at the other "Safari". 5. Staff. The staff members are friendly and patient. I truly appreciate them keeping the park organized, clean and safe. 6. Facilities. The facilities are well maintained and are cleaned often. Signs are placed everywhere to ensure mask wearing in crowd areas, and to keep safe distancing. The washroom in the restaurant building is pretty large and clean.

Nelson Enegbuma

A must go place for all age groups. Recommend going at 10-1030 am so the animals are all awake and not sleepy.

John Bradford

Lots of changes some good and some not so good but still had a great day

1 S

Love the fact that you can actually drive around with your car while animals roam around freely! Animals there are well cared for and the staff members are very helpful. They have a bus that cam be taken if you’re not comfortable using your own vehicle, however its at an added cost and its not as fun as you are restricted with the bus tour time. They also have nice shows and its great for the family or for a date! Highly recommended.

Tiffany

Had an amazing time at African Lion Safari with the family. The kids has a blast on the drive through and didn't want to leave the water park. The washrooms were clean and staff courteous. Food is not allowed on the boat so keep that in mind.

jeremiah bautista

I have visited African lion safari multiple times. Not every year mauve i skip a year or 2.but every time me and my family come back it always amaze us.is a fun place to visit in summer. Pricy but worth it. Lions are always good to see and …

Tauqir Akhtar

. Amazing place for family and friends. Driving the car through the animals is great fun and something that you don’t experience in day to day life. Even though guards are around, you can feel the thrill when a lion walks past your car. Its the closest most us have been to wild animals There are lots of monkeys who would jump on your cars to the delight of your kids. Must to do

Usman Nizam

Well managed and all animals were active so it was pleasure to watch them through Game reserve. Along with other birds, was surprised to see all types of Eagles in Birds conservation area.

Jacquelin Leavey

Ankita Verma

My kids had wonderful time! Not too busy even for the weekend. Lots of animals and they are all just hanging out.

Nisarg Patel

Wonderful experience ! We have a roof top tent for the back of our truck & didn't really think any thing of it because its bolted to a rack that is bolted to the truck, but the ladies at the gate let us know we wouldn't be able to go through because of the soft cover. We were super disappointed but they also offered to get someone come help take the tent off so we could still go through. A wonderful man came with a socket set, and helped us take it off. We stored it in the lockers they have with a lock and were able to drive through the safari. Instead of just telling us No and going on with the day, they did every thing possible to make sure we had a great experience. Of course the rest of the day was great ! and we had another worker come and help us put the tent back on. We will be back to enjoy again ! (without the tent :p )

Vernon A

As an adult with grown up kids the place was just ok the second time around. I first went when the kids where younger and I remember enjoying it more back then because of the way they reacted to to the animals. It's a good place to go if you have young kids or simply just want to see animals roam around freely. For me I think I prefer the zoo, but if you have never been definitely worth experiencing it

Prem Arora

Pretty relaxed day at the safari. Not packed with lots of things to do, few things but each one nicely done. Good day outing for kids. Splash pool could be better though as in current state it is meant for kids only. Overall worth a ride for one trip.

Charles Edwards

This place is a hidden gem. We went as a family for the first time and it was not what I expected. I thought it would be a quick drive through a few animals that are sitting miles away. It was not. A lioness walked right infront of our car! Monkeys sitting on people's vehicles and an ostrich trying to peck my window. It was an amazing way to view very healthy and active animals! But this place isn't just about driving, they have a whole park with boat rides, train rides, animal shows, a fantastic splash park, great food, friendly staff and an overall great environment. A few tips; make sure you have AC as you need your windows closed most of the time during the safari section. You can upgrade your entrance pass to a season pass by paying the difference. Splash park requires a water diaper, you can buy one there. The drive safari takes about an hour to complete. Make sure you go early.

Muhammad Shahzad Hafeez

Was nice a lot a people, they're working on some of the shows we see almost all the animals.

Mirza Foisal Ahmed

It was really nice experience. I would say a nice day trip. You do not have to just exit after the safari, there are lots of things to do, such as sit down near the peacock point and relax a bit, or go get some pizza/ flannel cake etc. There is a splash for kids and a boat tour (which is not included with the ticket). Expect to have a long line up though. Some of the animals were sleeping or trying to get to the shed due to hot weather.

Victor Ciubotariu

Amazing time with the family. You have to go through with your car...it's worth it just for the baboons! Update for 2021.. No monkeys because of COVID. Also beware booking since park closes at 5:30 during week day and not sure why they allow you with no warning to book your arrival at 3:15pm. Drive-thru closes at 4 so you barely can do anything. There should be some warnings ⚠️ ???? while booking!

dhaval patel

A full day activity... Good drive through and lots of fun activities for kids.. my kid loved everything the train the boat the shows and the splash pad too.. start early so that you get enough time everywhere.

Girija Devi

Has few good amount of wild animals, can take own vehicle or hop on the bus available there for extra money. Nice experience very close to the wild animals. Has train and boat ride free of charge. Plan for the shows and water play area

Michael Reeks

Happy to get out during the pandemic and do something with the family. Was glad price was discounted, all kids stuff was shut down understandably. Was lots of room to move around comfortably but line ups to use the washrooms that were inside was an issue if you have a 3 yr old that can't wait. Was limited but nice to get out.

Avan A. (Avz)

It was great seeing the open spaces and the many different kind of animals. The 2 different lion prides were so cool to see. The park is very well maintained and huge. Perfect Covid 19 entertainment for the entire family......

RENE ROMERO

First time here and what a great Experience. We went 3 weeks ago when their wasn't that many things to do due to Covid and this was fantastic. I highly suggest is to anyone who has never been . I am looking forward to going again this summer as my Family and I had such a great time .

Harsh Sheth

I'm not sure what happened to my initial review but I will post it again. A worthwhile visit for the family. Just make sure you get there before noon so …

Sachet Siwakoti

It has been almost a year since I visited this place. It's a great place in the vicinity of the GTA. I expected it to be really busy in part due to physical distancing measures, but it was not too bad. We could go at our own pace when driving around and didn't feel much pressure to move on or have to wait. There are about everything you would expecy from the animal kingsom: lions, rhinos, giraffes, and buch of other exotic and exciting animals, but no tigers and bears. Aside from the safari, there are bird, reptile and elephant shows within the compound.

Nikhil Juneja

good for kids to see all animals in open (but not in their natural habitat)... can drive your own car inside... good to go on a sunny day but should not be too hot. Small kids love to sit in the car and watch. And not to forget.. kids can sit in your lap and see.

Girija Nandini

Amazing place to take the kids along for the summer break, though kids missed the monkeys as they were not available due to COVID.

Dania Hourany

110% worth the visit! Definitely recommend! Very well maintained! Great variety of animals to experience and lovely expedition especially if you have kids.

Jeannette Lopez V.

Good to see animals out in the open. The animals looked healthy, but quite tired. I don't see how a procession of cars driving past them is not contributing to polluting their natural habitat. Not the safari I had in mind.

JM L

Good to bring your kids, but not that exciting don't get fooled the lions are always sleeping

Nishith Patel

Amazing place, lots off animals to see. The water park is nice..kids

Sunhan Eren

We loved visiting African Lion Safari, instead of animals being kept in small cages they are allowed to roam much more bigger areas. We got close to lions monkeys, and other animals. I am glad they are protecting endangered species. It's great fun especially for the kids

John Koollj

Recommended day trip if you are in the GTA area, especially if you have kids. Don’t be afraid to take your own car, even the lions are quite tame during the day and there are plenty of rangers around to tend them.

terry lacorte

Hadn't been there in years and it did not disappoint. So much to do for kids not just the Safari but the largest Waterpark I've ever seen lots of climbing and playground areas the admission fee seems a little high but you definitely get your money's worth. Family should plan on staying the whole day there is so much to do

Mikhail Brown

Many things to see and do. Drove through the reserve it was amazing seeing the animal up close. Experience seeing the elephants take their bath and different shows throughout the day Cool off the day at the splash pad and a boat cruise.

Pankaj Gupta

Good going with kids. Otherwise its okay. You can go around in your car or safari bus watching all animals along. Its so busy that probably animals are also bored seeing 1000s of cars buses roaming around daily. Water park is good for kids to play. The 3 events for parrots, birds of prey. AnD elephant are still better to see.

Mariyam Qureshi

This place is so good to visit with kids and specially during this covid lockdown time. You can get tickets for every one hour time slot. And see the animals from I side your car. The toilets are super clean and they make sure everyone who wants to go to the restroom wears a mask. There are enough sanitizer dispensers too. The food truck near the exit has a variety of foods to choose from.

LX

Not crowed at all. Had enough time to check out all the animals as we wanted. No shows or tours are available due to covid19 but the we still paid regular price, thats why 1 star was taken from my rating

Abhishek Singh

It was great experience at lion safari spent whole day over there .. there was 3 shows of parrot, bird prey and reptile shows. Then we have done boat ride and train ride and amazing drive through experience watching animals from car....

Janelle Wahlstrom

This was absolutely the greatest outing we ever just came upon. We were super unsure about it at first. We were not sure exactly what to expect but it was SO GREAT. The Safari drive through is enough to make your kids laugh and scream with excitement. Then you get to go on a little boat ride and little train ride included in the price! Or and after that THERE IS A GIANT splash pad (with water slides). This place was unreal. We did the Safari ride twice we loved it so much.

Melissa Evoy

Always love taking my kids here we always have such a great time, but I was disappointed to find out that the monkeys were not there this year.

Jay Goswami

It was a great experience meeting various animals, most of which were very friendly. Not only did we find this place a fun-filled family destination, but we could see the conservation efforts the staff make in every corner of the safari as well. The only fly in the ointment was that the food was quite overpriced compared to its taste.

Sonam Tsering

One of the best summer place to visit with family members and friends. It's really great wildlife experienced driving through whole 16 km and got an opportunity to see wild animals in front of you. Besides the wildlife safari there are lots to see about animals and birds show, water-splash for kids, boat-ridding & mini train safari along through water species. And i suggest, don't miss elephants show which is beyond your imagination and involved with lots of creativity. We took our own car inside the safari instead of their tour bus where peoples lines up in long queue at loading zone. It's better to take your own car inside the safari and there is no any risks and danger when you lock the doors and windows properly. Warning : Do not feed the animals.

Farah B

Was raining on the way there but got clear enough to go through the park. Animals were sleepy or napping specially lions. There were a lot less monkeys around and altogether less animals compared to our last trip but our last was at least 15 years ago so a lot of changes but still it was a nice day spent with the family. For the first time we got to watch birds of prey, parrot and elephant performances. My opinion? You got to visit this place at least once. Once every year will be better but if thats not an option visiting at least once should do.

harsha bindu

Have you been there yet? No. What???? GO goooooooo go now! I am animal lover and never liked the animals kept in a cage. I appose zoo!! African Lion Safari was a happy place for me, not only because animal were left free in their zone, but we drive through them to just watch them be themselves. Pure bliss! <3 Children would have ball of a time! The drive itself may take not more than 2 hrs max. depending on how long you wait at each exhibit, but the other amenities and shows will take 5 hrs. Must go!

Ruth Leon

Best safari I've ever visited. Lot of animals and trained staff. Kids would definitely like this place... Good for family too... Lot of rare birds n animals could be seen here.

O. Moftah (Wesa)

This place really does impress. I didn't expect to see rhinos!! Wow. We had a great time driving through, even in the rain

Talwinder singh

Perfect place for a Day out in just $40 and you have a lot of things to explore. Perfect place id you have kids.. small water park for children many shows rides and what not. Come and explore…

Ron Alan C.

Great experience! Animal selection not as vast as Toronto Zoo but they make up for it in how close you get to animals on reserve and when covid 19 is done a big splash pad for toddlers and kids with bird shows, boat cruise and elephants after the drive through.

Alison Eisinger

Fun family day trip! If you love wild animals, this is the place to see them up close!! The African Wild Safari was so fun!! We really enjoyed driving through the Safari and having unobstructed views of the animals. We took a boat ride to see some primates and birds and saw two shows involving parrots, elephants and other animals too! They have a good variety of food choices. We ordered some pizza and salad, both of which were delicious! Highly recommend for families!!

ily pali

A fun family day out for all ages to enjoy, my kids enjoyed seeing the animals and being close to them by car, and they also enjoyed the option of the bus tour. Once you finish the bus or car tour you can park your car and go inside the park they have different shows, and they also have a splash park which the kids will love on a hot day. There’s also a boat ride to see the monkeys and a small train to see the reindeer’s. It’s pricey but worth the visit.

Roca Koo

It's a great adventure to bring your family especially in the reserve. The staff are wonderful and educate you on how these majestic animals are endangered and the conservation efforts.

Rama Krishna Daripalli

Excellent place for a day visit with family. having a car is a must to visit this place. My kids had a very good time playing in water park. We personally liked the white lions and the Giraffe's.

J. Seiveright

Fantastic place for kids & family adventures! My family and I went on the bus tour which was a blast. We also enjoyed an elephant show & train ride through nature. Lots of animals to see & activites for the whole family! Great food & a couple gift shops with items for kids to seniors. Only downside is the admission price which is a bit pricey even for children under 5. BUT there are a lot of animals to feed, clean, vehicles to maintain, and employees to pay so it seems justifiable. Definitely worth a visit!

Thadiyan Vlogs

We booked tickets and timings online. Online prices are cheaper than booth ones, price includes parking. Lovely experience for kids and adults both. Well organized considering Covid.. Lions, Giraffes, Rhinos, Elephants and many more animals seen very well and close..there are 2 parts to African Lion Safari - 1.Drive thru viewing which takes about an hour if taken sufficient time at each spot 2. Kenya Gate : which is a walk through. Here we did a)Boat ride(8mins) - saw primates - Monkeys and birdies b)Train ride - about 10mins - more of a scenic ride with some animal viewings c) Walk through to see birds and Elephants. d) Timed shows - we saw 2 of them Parrot & Reptiles, was decent. I have seen some of these before so not very exciting. e) This area has a beautiful big splash pad so be prepared with extra clothes for kids! f) Big play structure for kids which looked fun Food there is super expensive ($11 Hot Dog) so best to take your own food!

Savan Harsh

Very interesting and well maintained safari. There are about 5 to 6 different sections to drive around and be “with the animals” . Car windows need to be rolled up at all times. The drive takes about an hour and a half. Apart from the animal safari, they have another section for birds Of prey and elephants. Parts of the safari are shut now to maintain social distancing. Nice selection of food inside the park itself. Very well maintained.

samaneh Yazdani

I loved this place. I think the African lion safari is a great place to spend your time. There are variety of animals and the route takes you directly to all of them. Beside that, the small water park for kids is very refreshing for adults as well. I also liked the parrot paradise and the elephant show. In addition to all interesting things going on there, the staff are so friendly and very responsible.

cherry varghese

Not a bad spot but the number of animals has greatly decreased. Also not many things were open due to covid. Although kids love seeing the animals in the safari. Missed seeing the monkeys and baboons of course due to covid. Looking forard to visiting again once fully open

Fijo Francis

It’s good but doesn’t have enough animals may be because of COVID-19. About the water splash is awesome for children. And the food over there is below average.

Sean Khan

Took the family here and we all had a great time. The water park for the kids was great. The animal shows are entertaining and educating. The kids were already talking about wanting to go back!

Javier Martinez

Great experience. Unfortunately we did not see any monkeys. Park was clean and open, staff was friendly. The only downside for me personally was the food, ordered 5 jumbo hotdogs and family fries. All 5 hotdogs were burnt. Purchased at the food truck since the restaurant was closed.

Mike Dean

Nothing compares! Prices are great, and so much included. It's worth the bit extra to take the bus, as it really adds to the experience, with so much information through the trip. The splash pad is fantastic too. Very easy to go at opening, and stay for the full day until close. Lots of shows as well. Really great experience.

Salwa Farwaneh

Guests may tour seven game reserves, with a total area of about 740 acres (300 hectares), via tour buses or visitors' own vehicles where animals roam freely in contained areas. Accompanying the game reserves is a walking section where exotic birds and primates, as well as the park's herd of Asian elephants, are on display.

Rishi Sundar Das

Ok here we go. 1. The Safari stands tall with its name, by introducing visitors a wide range of Savannah and Australian wild animals. You can find rhinos and lions walking around peacefully in a desert-like environment. 2. It is hot, extremely hot here in the summer. So do follow the zoo's recommendation of having your air conditioner working properly. Or else you would have ended up getting burnt and frustrated. 3. Lions, jaguars, rhinos, zebras, giraffes, bisons, kangaroos, deers, and a bunch of cows and bulls I know no name, are all well fed and well groomed. It makes visitors wonder how they could keep these hardcore wild animals during Canadian harsh winter, when temperature usually goes down to -40°C in these rural areas. 4. No much action happens around this mini savannah. Those kids and adventurers who expect to see lion hunting zebras down can be quite disappointed. Because of being well fed, those lions and predators just lie down on their stone cave, lazily gaze upon chains of canned food driving around them. 5. It is crowded in the weekends, so expect tremendous traffic jam inside the savannah when people stop and take quite long time to take pictures and do their v-logs. It is unpleasant to escape an overly crowded Toronto just to hit another overly crowded zoo. 6. There is a water park right outside for those with families and children. Kids enjoy it so much it could be a heaven for them. Seeing live animals walking in the desert, then jumping on slopes and in pool in a hot summer day. There would be lots of people in this world wishing to have had such a childhood as theirs.

Lorde The First

We had a great family time here . The African queen boat ride was fun too ????

Sayed Thahaniyath Ali

Amazing I should say. Totally worth it. Admission fee is $40/ person. And it is totally worth every penny. We started by taking the bus tour. It's time based and varies on weekdays and weekends. But there are plenty. It's $5 for the bus tour. And it's worth it as well. You can drive up yourself as well in your own car. I think it's free. But not sure. The bus tour last from 1-1.5 hours. In car it varies and depends on how you and others around you drive. There are 7 reserves from Lions to lamas, monkeys, giraffes, rhinos etc. Then we stepped in the park for lunch and they have a good variety including a wide variety of halal food as well. Lots of birds and shows as well. Elephant bath time, birds and how they hunt their prey, parrot and types , elephant and friends. All of the shows are really good. So plan the time accordingly so that you catch em all. Then we did the elephant ride, train ride. Missed the boat ride. But we had a fun day there. We started at 930 am and we're tired and done at 5 Pm. Must go. Truly feels the animals are in the wilderness.

Dayani Palamakumbura

Truly amazing. Every time you go in there is some thing new to do. Kids can enjoy the water pad too after a tiring day. The shows are wonderful and really good to see the animals up close in your vehicle.

Dheepika V. Sheth

Worth your time and money. Lovely safari in your own car. The animals are pretty calm and serene. You will come across wide range of wild life and you are guaranteed to get a close glimpse. The park is huge and the staff are pretty …

Cee Jay

My family and I had a great experience. I just want to compliment the way how the animals are well kept. You can tell by the way they look that they are well fed. You guys are doing an amazing job ???? ???? ❤ I would encourage others to take a tour with their family and friends.

AL EX

Fun for the family, me and some friends went this past summer for my girlfriends bday. we had a good time, we even drove our sedan through the zoo tour and all was …

Vasu Kumar

Awesome. My daughter loved it.

Lorde The First

Loved this safari. Good one day trip for children. Elephants were missed but overall great wild life experience !!

Tracey Hill

Had a awesome time. Splash pad and food was very good . loved the animals.

Shannon Korotash

Amazing day spent with two families, and two sets of grandparents! From 11am to 5pm it was non-stop fun. Tour bus ride (45mins), many educational shows, boat tour (10 mins), train ride (10mins) and two play areas for the kids!!!! Splash pad looks Awesome but it was Sept 3rd and chilly. We ended our day watching the Elephants swim. This is a MUST SEE!! Incredible, beautiful, amazing animals.

Henry Duval

This has been my favourite summer activity ever since I was a baby. Our parents always took us here every summer and now we’re continuing the tradition with my sisters kids. This is the best wildlife experience by far for our area. Way …

Ernie Peters

The splash pad was awesome I enjoyed the shows but the Safari bus ride isn't what it used to be. There weren't as many animals or at least we didn't see much 'action' during the bus tour. Got crowded really fast but I'd come back with my kids just to enjoy the splash pad... It's huge

Alicia B

It was so cool to see the animals in the park but I was also amazed at how nice the water park, the food court, and the inner area was with the birds of prey and elephants and the cute petting zoo! Would 100% recommend it to everyone and will go again. Don't take your own car through the park if it's nice though. Take the bus. We have an old car so we took our own. You never know what the monkeys will rip off!!

Ajeet Singh Dhariwal

Everything appears to be running here. The Safari drive is interesting. Lots of driving involved. The animals are mostly farther away. Some animals like the deer, bison and giraffes were pretty close. The lions were busy lounging around. Though a white lion did cross the street in front of us. Inside the people area, I would say 30% of the guests are wearing masks. We spent most of our time in the splash pad. The water is warm and not much shade here. They have umbrellas and trees, but most of the space has been "reserved". The train ride was fine and passed by some elephants. We brought our lunch and sat by the lake thing to eat. We watched the boats leave the dock. While there was an announcement that masks are mandatory on the boats (we could hear this on shore as the boats motored past), we saw many people disregarded the rules and removed their masks anyway. Overall, a fun trip if you don't mind spending a lot of time heading home to Toronto bumper to bumper for two hours (double our time going there). Yeesh...

Snigdha Dutta

So much fun! Unfortunate the restrictions on the extras due to the provincial pandemic craziness but the staff was great and the animal are always a hoot!

Prafull Jagtap

The fees/ticket for the safari is around $40 Canadian dollars per person including taxes and it's a little less if you buy your ticket online. It usually takes an hour to hour and a half to reach here from Toronto via the 401 West highway. Overall a good place to chill and eat after the safari. 10/10 for kids.

travelhholic dr

Best place for kids and family, everyone will enjoy this amazing place. Go early and enjoy the all four shows. Don’t miss the train ride and boat ride too. Bring your food and water with you especially in Covid-19 season. Don’t miss the elephant shower show which is around 4 or 4:30 pm.

Kirk Jackson

Went on a weekend and it took almost 2 hours to get into the park. Once we arrived at the gate it was almost $30/ per person including kids. We drove the Safari and it was great seeing the animals. It took a while because you can only move as quickly as those ahead or you. We walked the park after the Safari and saw all the other animals such as the eagles and the kids played on the slides. We ended the day at the water park (which I didn't know was there) and the kids had a fantastic time. Like any attraction you pay a premium to eat on the property and the variety is at a minimum. I would return but not on the weekend. And please follow directions; don't feed the animals.

Ayman S.

Very nice and big zoo. We enjoyed it very much. Some animals were not displayed such as the camels and elephants which we were looking forward to see.

Kelvin Phillip

It was a great experience. Up close and personal with animals. It was a bit busy, perhaps due to COVID limiting many other activities, however could still see everything on the drive through in about 2hrs. I recall going when I was younger …

Sheila Manchisi

I could have come here just for the splashpads. My little guy ran around in there for over two hours. Definitely take your swim gear if you are planning a day trip. The safari tour was a lot of fun, we even had a giraffe come right up to the bus! Our tour guide was great, energetic and full of cool facts. I'm glad I didnt take my car through. We had a good laugh at all the cars with baboons on them.

Taher Ammar Rangwala

Great place for a day’s visit with our 18month old daughter

clara batista

I had an amazing time. If you go now the only thing open is the gift shop food and the drive through animal attraction. Even with the water park being closed the kids and I still enjoyed ourselves. We are definitely going back again but will go when it's fully re opened so the kids can enjoy the water park, shows and the rest of the amenities.

Ron Zoleta

A very nice and clean place. Perfect place to bring your family. Kids and adults will have a great time here. Splash pad for kids, families will surely love the African Lion Safari. Your choice (tour bus or use your own car to enter the safari tour. Train ride, boat ride, souvenir shops, restaurants, etc. Plenty of parking, picnic tables and a clean washrooms. Plenty of signs [2 years and up requires to wear mask and social distancing 2m/6 feet (1 Lion) apart] is a must and also no trespassing or be eaten by Lion.

Billy Jr. Goco

It's worth the travel and the price. My son definitely enjoys when we through the safari. He also loves the shows and seeing the animals up close, and even touching some. The staff are friendly and nice even amidst the scorching heat.

Robert Jordan

Watched a real life family situation with the glorious elephants. Mom had just fed the baby ' Mia' who gleefully stumbled away to find a new experience. Mom had turned away for only a split second and then out of the corner of her vigilant eye she screams at the cutie petutti who had foraged some piece of soggy swamp grass. Mia dropped it like a hot potato and scampered back at a record pace to Mom seeking forgiveness. Mom stroked the babe's head with her trunk and the world was a better place.

Chad Daley

It was a good experience. It should probably be called African Elephant Safari instead though. There was definitely more information and activities with the elephants, and there was only like 5 minutes of actually seeing lions. If you love birds, they do indeed have a variety of birds and excellent informative demonstrations with them. Prices for snacks and souvenirs were actually pretty reasonable.

Milan Patel

Great experience during covid 19. It was a drive through only but very well planned by the management. At some points during drive through we noticed some cars were going in wrong directions including taking an exit route due to lack of proper signs. Kids had fun but cannot compete with walking in experience as they get to watch animals while staying inside car, windows locked. Most fun was some animals walking on roads with cars, few of them peeking through car windows ????. Its about an hour drive through, make sure to pack picnic food as there are open areas & beaches available to enjoy food after the drive through.

Harpreet Kullar

Lots of fun for the kids and family. An excellent activity to escape the city. Yet be mindful of COVID restrictions and book your tickets online. Food options are pizza , fries , fried chicken , very much that is it. I would suggest 3 hours time planning to visit. Still you can see the birds of prey, elephants are out at their area but no more shows or boat rides or other activities due to COVID restrictions.

Simran Garewal

Obviously a great place to visit. This place have so many endangered birds and animals. Overall it was a nice ride in the car and we can see the animals much closer. It is a good idea to reach here before the afternoon so that you can enjoy the entire trip. Walking is allowed in the area of birds and elephants.

Tamil muthukumar

We visited African Lion Safari this 2020 season and we were really amazed by what we got to see. It was mind-blowing to see such variety of animals really up close. In this place, the Zookeepers play a major role in keeping the public safe. They were really prompt in responding when they see people rolling their window down when they're close to the animal to click pictures which is against the safety rules of the safari. We particularly enjoyed driving through the bisons area.

June Vaters

Spectacular!! This is a great place to take the whole family! First you drive through the wildlife preserve and when you are finished you need to park your car and visit all of the animals that were not on the car tour. The children’s water park was incredible but temporarily closed because of covid. I would highly recommend this place especially if you have children. Call ahead to see if water park is open yet. Book on line. 10 out of 10 ????

Mohit. Sharma

Visited this beautiful place first time. Enjoyed the Safari. Saw a lot of wild creatures closely. Didn’t notice we ran out of time. Though, tickets are little expensive. Great Experience !!

Puvi Kaaviyan

Full day fun with kids The best place

alla rovner

A wonderful experience for the whole family. The animals are treated with dignity and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It really feels like we're visiting the animals in their natural habitats!!

Wenhui Yu

Definitely recommend going!! So much fun and so many different kinds of animals. One of the best places you can take your family!

Igor Kitsula

Nice place to visit with kids. But sad to see all the animals like in prison. Would love to see less ppl and open waterpark (most stuff closed due to the COVID-19).

Zainab Fida

We were lucky that it was a bright sunny day. It takes approx. 2-3 hours to cover the entire place. If you like to see wildlife up and close this place is a must visit, though it’s not like a real safari …

Aaron Jones

Awesome place for a day trip with family.

MANPREET KAUR

Amazing experience but due to Covid-19 most of other activities are closed such as water splash for kids, parrot paradise, boat cruise and scenic train. Only safari trail and birds side is open, so plan accordingly.

Richard Hain

Nice place to bring family and enjoy seeing wild animals like lions, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, elephants, eagles and many more. They also have fun shows with birds and the elephants. There's elephant rides too and boat rides, just so much fun activities you could spend the whole day with your family. You can drive your own car in the wild animals area. Spacious food court with plenty of food to choices. The bird shows are awesome, I was especially thrilled at having a nice picture of the eagle as it took off very close to where we stayed. It was also lovely seeing baboons, a caring mother getting on top of the SUV carrying her small baby safely. I strongly recommend this place for a family visit, kids would especially enjoy seeing birds and animals. Happy trip!

Prakhar Rastogi

Not worth more than a visit. Nothing exciting. Avoid going in Summer or hot weather as there ain't many animals and even those tend to hide in the bushes due to killing heat. I could barely see a few lions and a few more like Rhinos or Giraffes. Disappointing

Vic Singh

My 4 and 3 yo loves this place. I didn't know they had a splash pad so I my kids didn't get the opportunity to play in the water. This place will be an annual visit for my family. The only thing I wish there was a better direction on the roads, Google maps sent me through dirt road.

Jacob Lethbridge

Was a great experience! Animals came right up to the car. My daughter loved it. Only negative that I could say was the other drivers. Some of them spent ages looking at one animal and slowed the rest of the line down. But I feel like this is bound to happen. Just be sure to leave a good distance between you and the person in front of you I. Case they are one of those people so you can drive around them.

Mario Andrew Neophytou

Even during the Covid-19 Pandemic, since reopening in June, the team at the African Lion Safari seem to have really been a shining example of how to maintain social distancing and hygiene measures among their guests. Needless to say the Safari experience itself was a fun and engaging way to come face to face (through your car's windows) with some of nature's most incredible creatures who's existence many of us take for granted. Despite not being allowed to run at its peak capacity with the water park and rides, my family thoroughly enjoyed the experience. So thank you to the guys and gals who helped to make it happen! For now I will rate this attraction 4 stars despite it clearly deserving 5. Solely because I could not see the park in it's full glory due to conditions brought upon by the covid-19 pandemic.

Joseph Avery Realtor

Awesome experience, we loved it all! Drive through Safari, Boat tour, train ride, elephant and friend show, kits water park, playground, the fun went on and on. This is a full and awesome day for family fun. Great for all ages.

Typical YouTuber

Animals look very healthy, not to busy, no line ups with covid restrictions. No monkeys due to Covid.

Viral Rana

A place, unlike a zoo, where you are in a closed vehicle and animals roam around freely. Be it lion or zebra, all the guys look happy which makes you happy. No matter if its a sunny day or a rainy one, you ought to enjoy the weather. Just make sure you visit this place in a broad day light.

Cara Thompson

Lots to do... big place.. friendly staff ... good tasty food at restaurant.. the animals looks healthy and happy... Funnel cake was amazing... Easily can spend A-day.... Unique place.....

Amanda Lywood

Such a great day outing. One of my absolute favourites! Much better than a zoo IMO.

Helen Kornits

This place is amazing! We went on a date without kids and had a great time. The animals look great, so well organized and clean, and an excellent covid-time activity as you don't even have to leave your car, if you choose. Btw, there is an awesome audio guide on the site.

Sreejith Srinivasan

Excellent place for one day outing. You can drive in through the Lion Safari. The safari is a real great experience and there is so much options for fun. The most adventurous part was driving so close to the Lions. I had a really good day out with my family. It takes 1 to 2 hours to complete the safari part and then there are places for food and refreshments. There is a boat ride and a train ride which are also exciting. There are separate shows of parrots, bald eagles and elephant feeding which are also interesting to everyone. The children's play park and splash park is well maintained and entertaining for kids.

Jolly Roger

Great site for a family trip. Bring your little ones along as the Game Reserves can be driven through. Watch the wildlife closely at your own pace. The boat and train ride are kind of relaxing, but don’t expect to encounter as many animals as you would at the Drive-thru safari.

Saqib Ahmad

A life time experience with kids, remember at entrance the first one you see is lion family. Be prepared for that don't rush and take pictures. White lions are really beautiful. …

A Talking

We had a great day at African Lion Safari. Toddler loved the water play area as well as getting to see all the animals!! Food was average priced for this type of establishment. One great thing is you can return to your car as often as you’d like so no need to lug around a wagon full of stuff for the family all day.

Karan Singh

A perfect destination for an outing with friends and family. The Safari is very well maintained. The staff at all the departments of the Safari are very cooperative and helpful. The animals and birds are well fed and taken care of. Train ride, boat ride, bird show, elephant and friends show are quite entertaining and craftily presented. Would recommend everyone to visit at least once for a lifetime experience.

Michael Chung

We visited the safari last week on a Sunday, it was 8 of us. The park was crowded but it was fun. I just felt that it was a little pricey for what's there to see. We saw a few lions and that was the end of it. Everything else was just okay. It was the first time for 5 of us and we didn't feel that there was any wow effect at the safari. What we did enjoy though was the splash pad. The splash pad was good even for the adults, there was a little line up to enter cause I think they have to maintain the capacity limit. Overall it was a good day spent with family.

Satnam Gill

WOW! I didn't know they had so many sections to the place! Quite spectacular! Invite friends and family to visit! They will be entertained! ????????????????

Carol-lynn Gregory

Sing it with me now! African Lion Safari. ???? Train Rides, Elephants and ice cream. We has a wonderful family experience. So many family memories created. They also have misters to cool you down on a hot day. We loved it so much, I got the HAT. We look forward to our next Safari. #ExploreWR The perfect place to Reconnect.

abbas salloum

A great time if your looking for that close up experiance with the drive path, boat trip and bird/reptile shows.

Kinjal Shah

Great splash pad. Everything was running. Not to crowded in the morning.

A Şhah

Amazing place to go with the little ones. Loved it. I recommend it to everyone.

Christine Kluczynski

Fantastic visit. Could not beat the free entry considering that we won passes. The $40+ per adult and $28 per child is steep. At least it includes almost all attractions, including the boat and train rides. We paid to take the tour bus and Hannah our guide was fantastic! Very informative and the kids were able to see everything. Animals were quite active too, even at 11:45am on a hot day. The boat ride was good, although hard to see the monkeys. Our guide Cassandra was very good. I cannot recall our train guide but she was great too. I am detracting one star because the majority of the shows are in areas with ZERO shade. The sun beats down on you so be prepared to bring umbrellas. We saw the elephant and friends and caught the elephant swim earlier. The playground for older kids with the ball pit was great- especially their use of shade sails. The waterpark was the best feature. My kids could have spent the day there. There were many kids attending as part of a camp so it was a bit chaotic in spots but overall, the slides and variety of water features were fantastic. Outside of the waterpark, they were even selling $5 beers. Definitely needed one after trying to keep track of twins amongst the chaos of so many kids. The souvenir shop had lots of options. Too bad my kids both selected the most expensive item- a $36 giraffe. So much for my savings on admission. All in all, a fun day.

Selina Dmytryshyn

It was my first time going on a safari like this. I had never thought to do that in Canada-the North! All animals are healthy and amazing to watch. Giraffe was my first time, watching these tall gentlemen was nothing short of magic. We missed the elephants shows, bird shows due to covid. Will definitely go there again to watch these amazing creatures who I never think will ever see other than in Africa. Must visit!!

Amanda Anne

My 5 and 6 year old daughters loved this place. Being from the Windsor area, it took us about 3 hours to drive each way (3 hours there, 3 hours back) but it was SO worth it, and made for a great day trip. I personally find the situation of the animals a bit sad but my girls don't know to see that these animals simply aren't meant to live in such small enclosures/environments in the Ontario weather/climate with little to do, so they thought it was simply fantastic. Despite my feelings on the state of the animals quality of life at African Lion Safari, I enjoyed the rest of the park, particularly the splash pad area where me and my kids spent a good 4-5 hours.

Adam Bainbridge

Nice place to go with kids . The splash park was weird as a lot of adults jumped in as well with the kids and the employee at the entrance of the splash park was more Interested in where people we’re “originally” from instead of managing The crowd :) the rest of the employees were polite and nice

Mark Gill

This is a great place to take your kids. So much to do. My kids love seeing all the animals, riding on the train and the boat. The water park in the summer is awesome for kids of all ages. Highly recommended this place.

Nambi Durai Ganesan

This was a mind blowing trip for our little one. He thoroughly enjoyed throughout the trip. The animals where so close to our car that our LO just wants to play with them . We saw a lot of Giraffes, Deer’s, ELK, Bison, Rhino , chasing HIPPO, white LiOn , cheetah, the pride of a LION king in its walk , Ostrich kissing us , Mountain Goats. One thing is we have to go to the park after safari to see the Eagles , Parrots and elephant without missing them. With this COVID situation the safari is a stress buster. Just enjoy the animals

C “Lola” N

Love this place. Pride of lions, group of giraffes, heard of wilderbeast, family of elephants plus so much more! All within a few feet from your car for observation. We went early in the morning when it was not too hot and the animals were still roaming. The kids enjoyed it as much as the adults. There are water activities for kids, so do bring some extra clothing. Snack stand was on the snail pace service, but everything else was 5 stars.

Alex T

One of a kind place to bring your children for an adventure in a vehicle. The waterpark is amazing and enjoyable for both children and adults. Spend the day here to enjoy all the rides: train ride, boat rides, and animal shows. It’s far away from the cities, but it’s worth the visit once in a while.

thelma li

African Lion Safari is truly great adventure experience seeing animals in natural environment. The time we had was spent in an area at the boat ride. Due to pandemic, I guess it was only local visitors, and not from overseas as in other years. I enjoyed the dining takeout in the patio unlike other years before the pandemic with too many guests crowded into the dining hall. The food was superb perhaps due to the informal casual dining arrangements outdoors with few guests at few tables outdoors. The cheese burger tasted great hot off the grill and I had ice cream ???? from another corner outlet in the same area. For the more daring, there was even an offering of bison hamburger for small price of $10 with change and taxes. There was also hot sausage with bun $9 with change and taxes. Cheese burger cost $7 with change and taxes. This is true unique experience in the almost post pandemic era. Visit as often as you like to experience the other sections of park as it must be enjoyed in a relaxed casual manner.

Cris RochaR

I have been here multiple times with the family, I like how the animals can roam free in the safari area, minus the ostrich that wanted to escape. Love the baboons and the giraffes because they are social and come.to your car. I think taking your own car is better than the bus, you have more freedom. Sadly the soccer elephant show is not there anymore, I think maybe they finally had a rest? All shows very informative. Amazing as usual!!! Keep it up!

Peter Heywood

A safe family fun environment in the comfort of your own vehicle.

Tejas Wagh

Great family trip. Plenty to do and see! Try the onion rings!

Amy Pharoah

Really cool experience! I loved it as much as my kids! Pics also taken by kids lol.

khalid khan

It should be more vast, so animals have their freedom. But birds are amazing though

Anne Marie L

Great place to see animals without having to walk around so far. You get it done in one bus ride and seeing the animals up close is even more enjoyable! Then once you're done that, you can take your children to a great waterpark on the premises and enjoy a couple hours there! There are lots of picnic areas if you want to bring food, however there are also lots of places to purchase foods if you want to go light. Parking is free. Dont go on August long wknd as its apparently the busiest time of the yr

Patrick Ganz

Great experience! They have pretty much all of the animals except elephants. you can drive in your own car through the entire safari. They have big food court and water park. I would say all age groups can enjoy.

Patrick Ganz

Sooo great. The animals look good, there are many different species. It's a must see when you are around. You can visit even in bad weather - stay in the car and enjoy - take photos.

Jo Scott-Bowen

Loved it. I'm 39 years young and this was my 1st trip. Its was a longtime dream of mine to go...only bad thing was the elephant ride was closed due to an incident that happened the day prior with a trainer! U can get booze here....WHAT!!! LOL the food looked and was spectacular.

Ali Malik

Amazing place to visit with family and kids. Come early so you have plenty of time to enjoy all the activities and shows such as birds of prey show, parrot show, elephant bathing. There is a great water splash, slides and play area for kids. Bring snacks and pack plenty of water. Don't forget sunblock and mosquito spray can be handy as well. The place has a restaurant with burgers and pizza and ice creams but little expensive. I would recommend spending $5 per person to take the bus tour of the game reserve, as the bus tour guide gives a very good audio explanation and info about the animals, your car is safe from the possible scratches from baboons and other animals, and because you sit higher in a bus you get a great visual display of the surroundings and can enjoy the animal sightings. Entry tickets Adult ticket is approx $40 , kids is $28 and kids under 2 is free

Anita Mclean

Such a fun and amazing place! Animals are happy and safe. Will totally go again.

Chad Wismer

Excellent fun day out getting up close and personal driving through seeing all the various animals. We are extremely fortunate to have these beautiful animals so close to us. I look forward to going back again

Jody Ferryman

The kids loved it! Liked the various shows that took place throughout the day keeping us gainfully occupied and not standing around wondering what to do next. The African Lion Safari exceeded my expectations. Didn't have to pay separate fees for boat ride tours nor train ride tours.... Next time I will go earlier and do a proper picnic ☺

Mary Dudas

My family had a great day at African Lion Safari. We all loved driving around looking at animals like we were on an actual safari. Having a bongo and bison walk in front of our van was very exciting. The kids loved the splash pad as it had spots for all ages of children as well as a few small water slides. There was a small train ride that took us for a ride by water that had different types of large birds and a boat tour that took us to see small monkeys and gibbons on islands. Great place for families to spend a day.

ASIF FAROSE

Great place to spend the day. The Waterpark is perfect for young kids. Driving through the safari was a great way to see animals up close.

Rohit Michael

Definite must do. It was worth it. Had lots of fun. And did take our own car too. The animals were well behaved that day luckily got some good photo ops. Lots of other shows to see with the kids. Great place all around. Just a heads up the park does not take responsibility for damages to your car if you happen to have a day dealing with unruly animals. However for the most part we were pretty safe and the animals were used to vehicle traffic. Animals were well guarded and taken care off too. Would go again.

Karan Gulati

We had a fantastic day with the family. From start to finish, everything seemed so perfect. We got to the see all the animals except Mokeys i belive due to covid, however it was great to see the animals were well looked after and you can see them in their open free space specially the Lion & Lioness ????

Stephanie Grimond

Superb and fun! We went there with our brand new Tesla. I was worried about bad roads and mud but it was pretty nice and clean. All animals are visible and overall good experience. If you have kids they gonna enjoy a lot.

Rebecca S.

Great place to spend the day & a wonderful experience for kids of all ages. Lots of things to see & do! Great waterpark/splash pad! Drawbacks - admission has gotten pricey. The animal shows are wonderful but no shade which is not ideal on hot summer days, especially for the little ones. I suggest packing a picnic lunch, lots of places to spread out a blanket & relax. Food prices are high but typical for this type of place. The Reserve can be a lot of fun!! This year was the first time we went on a weekend & I would not recommend it. It was ridiculously busy. It was very difficult to enjoy the Reserve due to traffic jams & decreased viewing spots. However, we drive through a second time later in the day & there was much less traffic. Definitely something everyone should experience at least once.

Trupti J

Great place for kids and everyone else to visit and have fun. The trail is the best. We didn't go to the splash pad as it was very crowded even during pandemic time. The shows are amazing.. Kids get to learn along with entertainment..

Josh Chamberlain

Great place for the whole family with lots of animal exhibits and fun things to to do, water park for the kids, boat tour and shows with the animals.

Ana Pereira

My daughter had a blast. She was very curious about the animals and didn't want to leave the water splash. It was a great day. Very pleasant. We are planning on going back soon ????

Arjun Sehgal

Its a wow place where you get to see almost every species of animals and birds walking around you (your car) and you just feel fantastic watching them so close without any cages. Though the animals, mostly lions and tigers feel like they are tranquillised as they are extremely lazy and mostly sleeping, but I guess that’s one good reason for them not hurting or trying to hurt you. Best part is you can go over and watch them uncountable number of times by paying only once. Children would love it and may also learn about animals and species here.

kamal kumar gunda

Lot of animals and very nice to see them through drive -thru .Also, kids play area and splash is pretty good which will take entire day to view and enjoy with family . Train trip for 6 mins is pretty good . 5 mins for boat trip as well good. Kudoooooos to the Safari Team!

Kriselle Alberto

Well folks.... due to covid, yet again killed about 89% of our fun! We walked around and looked at any animals we could and it only took about an hour n half. There was no shows. No elephant rides. No swim area. No boat. The best part was the drive around to see the animals.

Franco Zaffino

Great day for the family. Bus ride was good but extra. Lots of anmilas to see and they move around alot like the zebra giraffe etc. The trans and boat ride are included so is a decent sized splash pad so bring your splash gear. The pad is all geared towards kids of course. Fairly clean and decent amount to do.

S P

The best tourists attraction!! We bought pass for "wake up the wild" and the experience was phenomenal. This pass is expensive than the regular pass but you experience close encounter with animals plus access to all activities included in regular pass. The guides were very informative. You can see pride of lions eating their breakfast, roaming in the wild. The best part of the trip was feeding Giraffes.. they provide you lettuce and carrots to feed Giraffes and you can feed Giraffes from your hands.. for me this was such an awesome experience, I couldn't take my eyes away from Giraffes! Trip is not just for kids even adults can experience this amazing trip. It was great to see animals free in the wild. Highly recommend!!

Cibi Boovendran

One of the best day activities around GTA. Full on fun for the kids, one of the best splash pad.

Bee gee Bro

It was a great experience. It was covid times however, the amount of care the Rangers and other staff took are nice. Animals were all calm and looking good. Rangers were present everywhere. We saw most the animals, except baboons and monkeys. All shows were not available due to covid. The birds of prey had lot many birds. The elephant ???? enclosures had 3 baby cute elephants.

ummekulsoom jamali

It’s always fun to Visit this place this time of year Very crowded and long line of cars due to all other shows closed,no elephant and birds to watch. you can only ride in car to see animals of which even baboons were not available Picnic area was very crowded. There shops are open boat ride is closed too. Hopefully next year everything will be back to normal.

wonder world

Loved the view of wild life animals in their natural habitat. Avoid weekends to stay away from rush, only sad thing that all lions were sleeping, it was severely hot in the afternoon wouldn't blame them. But overall great place for an outing.

Stephanie M

Very nice place to go with your family especially if you have kids, my kids enjoyed the water splash pads area, rays show, birds and parrot show. Try to go early to avoid the overcrowding.

Angelique T

Nice exp for first timers. The parrot paradise and birds of prey shows are also good. Nice time to spend with kids and family. Be ready to be in car for atleast 1 and half hour then only you can take some hood pics and enjoy. Tip- be in the first line when you go in then only you can see the animals properly.

dimaberezovski

Very disappointing display. Although the animals are fairly close to the road there are just few animals really. Obviously the lions, giraffe and zebras are great but i wish there were more interesting animals to see. The park itself is very clean and nice. Skip the train ride, 40 minutes lineup for a 6 minutes ride that is not really worth it considering the only animal you will see is a turtle. The shows are very informative and interesting, both the parrots and the prey birds were very good shows the will be good for kids or adults. Generally all the park staff is great. Somehow the place as a whole doesn't come together to a grear experience.

Bernadette Code

We bought our tickets at Costco because it saved a decent amount. Overall the experionce was amazing. I also highly recommend the birds show. Waterpark area was fun. When doing the drivethrough it was awesome seeing all the animals. However the only issue is the people that stop too view the animals for 5 minutes does slow it up quite a bit. I found by the americas many people had their windows rolled down. Definately a must to check out.

ornella ferrere

Nice place to go for a warm afternoon. The traffic at the entrance can be crazy during rush hours. The park itself is alright, I like the fact that animals are NOT in cages and that most of them are rescued animals. However don't expect to see exotic animals like Panthers, tigers hyenas, gorillas,.... The splash place is the highlight of the spot! Kids love it!!!!

Aymen Mandil

Wow! So much fun! This made my wife’s day/vacation! Scored some major points with this! :) We went during the middle of the week and it wasn’t too busy and the main restaurant area was open but all the other snack/ice cream shops throughout the park were closed. The safari part was 2nd to none! We witnessed 2 deers giving birth and had some great close ups of most of the wild life!

Heather Quigg

Such a wonderful experience. I bet, you will enjoy this.. There were thousands of wild species in the Safari area. There was this little train Safari, Parrot talking, Elephant bathing and other entertainments too along with your Safari Journey.. Overall, It was worth a day ..

suzanne drake

A great family outing. You have option to use your own car and drive through safari or pay to ride on the bus. We always opt to take the bus because the driver gives facts about the animals and no risk of any damage to our car driving through the monkey exhibit There is a really nice splash pad/water park for kids. Watching the elephants bath is a much see!

D Y

The kids enjoyed seeing the animals up close and playing in the waterpark. It was good to see that the animals were given more space, but there were so many cars driving around that I can't imagine the air being very clean. There were very few options for food on the site and they are located far from any major city. If you want coffee, bring your own!

Mike

Took a trip here and wow. It is such a beautiful place. The staff there is so friendly and helpful. You can tell they love their job. The tour is great to see all the animals. After that the area for kids to play including the splash pad is amazing. It is unreal how big the splash pad is. Definitely will get your money worth. We did the ride an elephant and it's amazing. We did ask of they like this and was told the elephants have to move around alot during the day. Even when we stopped to get food it was very reasonable priced unlike other parks that over charge food. Very clean and for what it is decent food. Will be returning to this place for sure.

Rhonda Hofman

In my early years, I went with my family and had a really good time to see the wild animals for the first time. We went by bus to go through the area, where the wild animals roam around freely. The best part was the monkeys sitting on the top of the bus. This one giraffe came up to our window and let me touch the top of her nose. They seemed to be friendly. They also let other people to take their own vehicles. But there are rules, that they're not responsible, if their vehicles gets damaged by the animals, especially monkeys. They also had a train ride, that goes through the area to see smaller animals, birds, snakes and etc. We all enjoyed the train ride. We noticed that the parents and their kids were also enjoying their day. The park closed on Thanks Giving Day at 6:00pm or 8:00pm. I'm not sure when it opens up. I usually checked the website. My father drove all of us to the park. He paid our tickets, through the ticket booth entrance. They did have a few ticket booths. So that it keeps the lines of cars moving slowly. We practicality spend the whole day and it was worth it.

Louise Jackson

Super cool experience ! The animals get really close to the cars but there are staff cars ready in case of an emergency at every section. There’s a very informative audio file about all the animals you see that you can listen to from your phone and it makes the experience very special just like a guided tour but in the comfort of your own car. After the drive through safari, you can park your car and enter the Zoo and there you can see the birds and elephants and watch the shows (highly recommend those!) And there’s a nice playground in there.

Subha Chakraborty

Wonderful experience. The ticket was $30 per person. If you have kids than they would love it.

Riham G Abdelhalim

Great trip out with the kids!!!! Had a fantastic time even a live show with the kangaroos.. the kids had a lesson on reproduction from Mr and Mrs Kangaroo!!!????????????

K D

Visited in the summer of 2020. Great for kids. Game reserves fun for adults too. The game reserves drive-thru is a safe activity during covid pandemic. Pre-covid this place was so much fun with live animal shows and a waterpark/splash park for kids. Pre-covid it would have been worth buying a season pass if you live in the area.

Kim yates

First time visiting very nice place Lots n beautiful wild life n water park here Totally money worth Go with family kids ✌️✌️

Johan Hugo

It's too amazing. Must visit once.

Boris Thomas

Nice place to go on a half day trip. It is highly recommended for families with kids. Really thrilled to watch lions around vehicles. I wish they can do something about long line ups I. Safari.

Jason Blow

Amazing Experience and Animals! (things to bring below) We took a family vacation down to Southern Ontario, and decided to take a day and visit African Lion Safari, great choice! We were a little further South near Long Point, ON. It was about an hour and half to get there, and make sure you have good directions. The turns can be difficult to navigate, so make sure you know where you are going. Pack a lunch, plenty of picnic tables (before you head into the driving portion of the park). Bring lots of water (we had a hot day, which was great, and not so great). As you can see from the pics, the elephant visit to lake was amazing! We pulled in, had some snacks, and right beside the parking we see this train of elephants going into the lake. Our family loves elephants, and this was just amazing. You get a chance to be very close, within a safe distance, and the staff were fantastic. They answered questions about the elephants, there were plenty of them to keep everything in order (there was never any danger, but it was well organized). Nice way to start the day. We then decided to drive through the park. Make sure you stop for a potty break before heading in, because you can get stuck behind people, and you are not allowed out of your vehicle. Bring water, as it can get hot, even with air conditioning on. You are to keep your windows closed, and I do encourage that. If you have an antennae on your vehicle, and you can remove it, do it! The monkeys will play with it, guaranteed (saw it happen to a number of vehicles). Follow the routes through the park, and there are some (very few) to skip some areas if you really need to, but I hope you don't, because the animals are amazing. Be patient, there will be times that you get stuck behind someone, and another person is blocking the lane next to you. Just enjoy the animals, all will be OK! After you are blown away by the animals that are literally right next to your vehicle, you can stop by the rest of the park. There is a small water park, mostly for smaller kids, but a great place to cool down on a hot day. As you walk through the rest of the park, make sure to keep some water on hand, and keep noted of the times. You want to make sure you plan out your walk so that you are able to watch the shows as you progress through the park. Things to bring: lunch in a cooler, water (plenty of it), cameras (all charged up, and a portable charger), sunscreen, hats, swimsuits, change of clothes, purel hand cleanser. Hope you have a great time, we sure did. Cheers, Jay

Sanghamitra Bhattacharjee

Good place for a day outing specialy if you have kids because lots of activities are there including water for kids so don't forget to take there swimsuit or extra clothes. Safari is wonderful mainly for kids, white ????, ???? are there along with other animals. Train ride is wonderful. Train ride and boat tour is for all (kids & adults) no separate charges are required. Bus tour is available for Safari or can enjoy in your own vehicle, it's up to you. For Bus tour each person would charge $5. You can book the tickets online or over the counter. Lots of parking, rest areas near the main gate or inside Kenya gate. Restaurants are there, inside restaurant area washrooms. If you would like to carry your food that's also a good option as lots of outdoor benches or arrangements are there. Shops are there for shopping gift items near Kenya Gate and waterfront area. All together it's a good place to go in Summer.

Joe Abass

It is pretty wild indeed. One problem though, when I visited back in 2017, all the animals were roaming freely while people drove around the safari to see them. I believe that could be potentially dangerous to vehicles and lives. Other than that, it’s amazing!

Shad

Great way to see animals closer than you can at most other zoo's. There are shows there too and a kids water activity area. Beware the monkeys may climb up on your car.

Joy SGC

The African Lion Safari, located near Kitchener/Cambridge/Hamilton, Ontario, is one of a kind. Visitors can drive through in their own vehicles traversing several Zones, each with their own distinct fauna. The free animals range from lions, various deer species, ostriches; zebras, and the tall giraffes. There are a couple of affectionate ostriches who approach each car and peck on the closed windows. After seeing the Zones, visitors can ambulate through several beautiful paths housing caged animals and birds. There are a few eateries offering quality fares. Owing to Covid, the train ride and a few facilities/attractions were not open. Plenty of open air parking spaces. Definitely worth one visit. Highly recommended.

Monis A.

We had a grear time seeing all the animals up close. One of the rhinos was tying to find his way around my car my sensors were going beep beep beep! It was awesome. Best time to visit is 10am. And tickets are a few bucks cheaper online than at the gate.

Partha Sarathi Sinha

This is really a very good safari ... so many animals in the open drive through area. The lions are open and just beside the car, walking, eating, resting .... truely a great experiance. Also there are many other animal kingdoms to drive tgru. And must watch the bird shows and elephant bath.

Jennifer Chan

Full day of fun. Go early to see more energetic animals, and get to the splash park before the crowds if you have kids. Food options are a bit limited (standard park fare -- burgers, hot dogs, etc) so bring your own food if you don't want to wait 20+ mins in line

Khazana Ahmadli

This safari is worth it. First time seeing white lions in real was a great experience. Hatsoff to the authorities who is maintaining this place really good. You get a feel of seeing the animals in there natural habitat. They have some of the rare animals like Bongo, scimitar horned oryx etc. Overall it was an awesome experience. Would totally recommend to everyone who are looking for a safari experience and do not go on a rainy day

Ajay Sharma

Great place for the family and little ones. Recommend going for the entire day, lots to do. The drive through portion was nice, some of the animals were very close. Also, the train ride for the kids is fun and informative.

K OS

Still a great spot. A lot of the park is still closed (Sept 4.) due to Covid but you can definitely spend 4 quality hours between the safari and a meander through the rest of the park

Fransica Buda

We really had a blast, lots to do, amazing waterpark/splashpad for kids, we loved the elephant bath and elephant show. Only reason I didn't give 5 Star is to get into the park it's like US border, it took a solid 20+ min to get in, I don't know what the solution would be except get there earlier, we got there at 11, and maybe that's peek time. And the safari bus moved very slow in the beginning, I guess we went at a busy time 2:30, do this earlier too, but the animals were beautiful and my toddler was amazed. But be ready to be on a bus with screaming children, cuz kids can't handle waiting on a bus lol. But I definitely recommend this place, it's a great family day trip. Lots to see you need the whole day to enjoy.

Shreya Vihol

The best safari experience ever! Recommending everyone who wants to have a great day in nature, engage with wildlife and enjoy at the same time. Stuff was very nice, had a fabulous time.Definitely will come back again!

Niveditha Nair

Visited the safari a week ago.We booked tickets for the morning slot(thanks to Google reviewers who suggested morning time is better to visit). It was raining and hence was a bit tad difficult to get good pics. Plan for around 2-3 hours to complete the experience. To see the elephants, parrots and birds of prey, you need to go through the Kenya Gate on a walk thru. All the other animals like lions, cheetahs, kangaroos, ostriches, giraffes etc are in the drive thru safari. The splash pad and water park are closed due to covid-19.Really enjoyed the experience and will be back once again for sure.

Mandeep Kalhar

Great place to take your kids. Drive at your own pace animals were very lively and weren't hiding away. Had a great time. Right now a few of the food places are closed at the end due to covid however the park was really good. Could be also because I went during a weekday.

I really like the open plains style of zoo which gives the animals so much more room to move around. We visited in August 2019 and the weather was perfect. Highly suggest you pack a picnic - mostly just fast food selections (however, food is reasonably priced)

I REALLY had a great time at the African lion safari, and this is coming from a 23 year old. Its not just for young kids. The idea is great! A large majority of the animals are not kept in small cages but rather they get to roam around freely (in large fenced off areas) but still not your typical zoo. If you go you have to watch the bird shows, they have a bird's of paradise and a bird's of prey show and they are both phenomenal. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Me and wife had an amazing time and we would highly recommend this to all of you!

Amazing and incredible experience. All the animals were beautiful. The place was clean. Staff was great. Lions, rhinos and ostriches are such a beauty. I was little disappointed as I was expecting elephants. I had seen in pictures …

Nice place for kids. Great water park, lots of shows and beautiful, healthy looking animals to see. The playarea is quiet entertaining as well. Expect long lines on the weekend and bring your own snack as healthy snack options are limited and everything is "vanity priced". Train and boat ride are free and bus tour is $5/person. Elephant ride was amazing although still $10/person is a bit pricey for such a short riding time.

Up close and personal with the animals, my kids loved it. The splash pad, train ride, and boat ride was alot of fun! We bought our tickets online. Went at 10 am, the first stop was the safari ride ( 1 hour). Second stop the boat ride, no line up at 11am. Lunch at the restaurant, barely a line up. 12 until 2 splash pad. Third stop train ride, two o clock splash pad was busy, 3 o'clock line up outside was up to the parking lot.
