amazing spot to walk dogs, hike the mountainous paths off trail but do beware of ticks if you have doggos there’s lots of em also search about the flowing water and you can find the invasive rusty crayfish; this crustacean is not to be moved around on land or from their body of water in order to prevent posing a serious threat to local ecosystems and other bodies of water.

Fantastic place for bird watching! So much diversity! I saw a yellow-billed cuckoo and an Indigo Bunting for the first time here! Beautiful trail, well maintained, will definitely go back.

A very nice trail leading to observation deck with very nice views to the river and not too difficult

Tasneem A

Enjoyed a Saturday afternoon hike here. Some steep climbs, combined with flat paths through meadows. A beautiful spot.

This place offer such beautiful therapeutic trails. Very moderate (no rocks just some steep inclines & declines on a dry soil during summer time). Huge parking space and great lookout! If you actually walk straight to the end of Vista trail, you'll end up on Twyn Rivers Dr (Road), then you can continue to Mast Trail which is another great place to hike along Little Rouge Creek. Approximately about 2 hrs of a hike for this two trails (no kids with this time frame).

Vera Ush

Nice observation deck. Kids friendly trail

Taran Kaur

Easy hike, little walk into the forest and you see amazing fall colors

Happy Family Day! Funtimes with the family...

Very lovely trail, most importantly, it crosses one of the nicest pieces of street in Toronto, plus a nice lookout tower.

Loved it.

This place is perfect for lazy folks LOL. It's a short trail with creek and two swamps (small lake??). Filled with little critters and some swans too. There's porta potty nearby with hand sanitizer by the door. Quite a crowd on weekend of families and couples. You can bring your dog but don't forget to put them on leash. You can certainly bring yourself or your pet to play in the creek since the current is weak and it's very shallow but always keep an eye on them.

People who are living around this area probably doesn’t realize how blessed they are having place like this... definitely suggest to visit

The Vista Trail has two-level viewing platform that you can see the fall colours

Pretty views, massive part, but beware of ice in the winter!

A group of friends and I spent the Saturday of thanksgiving weekend. The colours were vibrant and absolutely breathtaking. The trail is short and sweet, great for beginners. it’s located in a very easy spot, and nearby the zoo which makes a fun day for everyone (post-COVID-19 of course). 10/10 would recommend!

A beautiful trail with a decent sized parking lot to park. The trails offer a wide variety of difficulty and the trails are well laid out, either by flattened earth, boards or pavement. For those wishing for more difficulty, there are harder parts with some elevation. If you're considering venturing on the harder areas, I recommend good hiking shoes but if you stay to the main, shorter paths, running shoes are fine. There are great views and really worth a visit.

Amber Linkenheld

Beautiful small spot in Scarborough near the Rouge and the zoo. The trail in the fall is stunning. With the change in colors of the leaves it looks like nature's rainbow. Highly recommend taking the view from the top of the hill and simply breathing in the fresh air.

Eden

Perfect place to visit for a hike, especially with all the fall colors. Bring a good pair of trail or running shoes.

Vista trail is small but beautiful, full of lush green trees.. feels like you are walking in a forest. Nice place for kids and families!

Rahul Chordekar

Nice spot, away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger attractions.

Justin Tiu

We piled up a handful of the trails together for a longer hike. It was muddy

Kathleen Carreon

Great trail if you want to forget about the busy city life for a couple of hours. Many species, birds, and fish live there.

Yeowon Park

Beautiful hiking trail that takes you away from the bustling of the city into a green vista in minutes. Fitting of the name vista trail. There's a huge parking lot right off the entrance to Toronto Zoo so you can park there. The trail is on the rugged side so make sure to bring adaquate footwear. I wouldn't recommend bikes just because if you go further in it takes you into the woods and the terrain isn't safe enough for bikes. There's steep inclines and declines with lots of slippage. There's also a lookout tower thats great for pictures.

Plenty of woodland areas to walk through and there are river spots to chill at. A great place to bring the whole family or walk the dog or both. Keep dogs on leash or close as there are wild animals like coyotes making their homes here. You can find deer and plenty of places for bird watching. Stay away from to edge of the bluffs as they can give way without notice. Beautiful scenery and open areas to walk for hours, New York's Central park could easily fit in here and get lost. Great time to come in fall and see all the colors. Highly recommended

Beautiful place. Leads to other trails once u cross the road and it can just go on and on. Quite tough for some people due to the steep climbs up or down. More for hiking or trekking than for leisurely walks in the park.

Gorgeous! This is the start of numerous trails and hiking paths. Ample parking available also. We hiked with the kids and had a blast. Apparently, there are sightings of animals such as bears and I wouldn’t be surprised seeing a rhinoceros being so close to the Toronto Zoo.

Jamie Lundine

Great hike. Very easy to moderate. Different loops along the trail, which allows us to decide how long ww want to hike. Trail can be marked a bit better with signs.

Lexi Rianne

Nice riverside trail. Lots of Caterpillar at the time, end of June

M Mui

Nice short trail, can be a bit boring as views don't change much. There's a nice observation deck though with a decent view. Check out my pictures.

It's a beautiful place! We did go off the main trail a lot and the colors were even better there, however that does get a bit steep and slippery (worth it if you are able to do that though). Saw a few blue jays. Weather was just right. We had to wait a little for a parking spot but not too bad overall. Lookout point was also pretty nice and nowhere near as crowded as i expected (we were there at 3 pm on a Saturday).

Ali Baranpourian

Nice hike along a narrow ridge looking down on the river on one side and the creek on the other. Some hills that can be tricky for older folks.

Andres Dominguez

Awesome hiking trail, with the trailhead at the Rouge Valley Conservation Centre, that's just a stone's throw from the Toronto Zoo. Easily walkable path, with decent stretches of shade, weaving through the forest. Definitely worth checking out, if you're looking for a hiking path just outside the city!

Zeba Sahar

Beautiful trail in the fall and winter. The observatory is a great look out point! It's about a 5-10 min walk from the parking lot to the observatory deck. Parking can be challenging to find, it's make shift parking and does get packed by 11am. The trail is not very strenuous. The trail ends at Twyn Rivers and you can cross the street and get onto Orchad or Mast Trail by the other parking lot. I went last week and there was snow but since it's a popular spot the trail is easily walkable. Although the parking is packed when I've gone in the morning I've passed by other hikers however it's never crowded. I've gone back 3 times so far!

Da Ria

Wow!! Beautiful natural Winter hiking is more funner than I thought Don't forget izen and other gears

Bruce Correa

Beautiful taril, not too hard, good for most of people. It's an unpaved trail So don't take stroller if you have a baby.

Cody W

Great hiking trails near the Zoo. Ample parking as well!

VINIT ACHAREKAR

Beautiful forest trail, big size parking lot is a bonus. No public washrooms, not stroller friendly.

Shifa P

Nice trail overlooking the Rouge River. The trail gets a little more treacherous if you want to get down to the river's edge, but worth it!

It looked nice and all but there was a bunch of centipedes on the road while I was walking up to go to my car and I saw a black and white snake there and my dog tried to fight it. Also there was warning signs that said ticks were on some trail and there was a tick on the sign. If you don’t like bugs and snakes don’t come here

Kinsa Sensei

Very nice and peaceful trail. There are plenty of parking spots with washroom near by. The trail is quite difficult for cyclists, but all over you will enjoy the atmosphere.

Dawn Ang

Lovely trails - especially during fall.

Brad Lohner

Nice lookout spot with two high decks overlooking the river and green belt around it.
