REVIEWS OF Queens Zoo IN Belleville

Nice cute zoo much less to offer then the Bronx zoo but the sea lions are always fun and it is a nice place to have lunch plus the petting zoo is also a fun time.

Moses V

The Queens zoo did not disappoint! I loved that the zoo offered plenty of shade on a 90 plus degree day; the Aviary was an amazing experience; The petting zoo was very nice.

Cindra Bucaria

Was pleasantly surprised by the Queens zoo. Smaller than the Bronx zoo but also a lot less people walking around. I enjoyed walking through the park. The grounds were well maintained. I also enjoyed the petting zoo where you can feed the animals. There is also a children's amusement park near the zoo.

Nice zoo which is a bit small, but good enough to have lots of animals to look! Love the aviation area which is a big exhibition with all kinds of birds inside it which would fly around you! Also like the way how the zoo setup would make you feel like you are in part of the wildlife! The feeding farm animals area is also really fun to visit which has so many nice farm animals that you could touch and feed!

Long time WCS zoo members. First time for me to the Queens Zoo. the grounds were very nice and clean. It's a nice park. However, the zoo itself is rather small. Much smaller than Bronx, or Prospect Park. Animals were very nice, but not too many in all. Overall very good. The petting zoo is the best of all the NYC zoos. Very big, open, with lots of nice farm animals. Whole place takes 2 hours max. No parking, but we found parking on the street. Park nearby is cool with lots of vendors making food and selling treats.

A very nice little zoo. This suit is located inside the park so you will need to find parking somewhere that may be difficult so if you can take public transportation. I was able to walk through the entire zoo in about an hour and a half two hours. It is pretty much covered the entire way under trees. I enjoyed the gardens as much as the animals there is a lot of care placed in both of those areas and it's very apparent.

This is a really cute zoo and it also has an adorable petting zoo! There were so many animals for such a small zoo, and each animal is in a section so you can easily pass without seeing all the animals.

I absolutely love this zoo! We visited this zoo at least 10 times already, its beautiful and not overwhelming for the kids so they dont get tired too quick. It's also inside the flushing meadow park which is a plus because there's more activities for the kids to do. Great vibes!

This zoo is very quiet, has much more animals and much larger than I expected. Animals are active and interested in people.

neville chauhan

Very Small and too much noisy for animals and birds, but very well maintained.

Nice small zoo if you are local to the area, comparable in size to the zoo in Brooklyn and Central Park. You could walk around the whole zoo in about an hour if you don't linger. I actually prefer the Queens Zoo over the Bronx Zoo since I have a young child. They have a petting zoo that's included with admission ($10 for adults, $7 for children). There's a tiny amusement park right next to it with a carousel that's good for little kids also.

cui jingyu

A little small but good for younger kids and older folks because of less walking and flat terrain. The petting zoo across the way is good for kids to see, smell, and touch animals instead of just reading about them.

Kira Marie

Very small zoo but a great day trip. There's also the petting zoo you get to go to for free with your zoo pass. You can bring food in to have a quick lunch. Perfect place for kids or an afternoon date for animal lovers.

Very nice zoo with nice attractions and environment. Parking is limited so if you can take public transportation here, consider it. Price of admission is very cheap at $10 for adults. Will be able to see every attraction in no more than 2hrs here. Pros: exhibits, area is well spaced out, not overly crowded, price of admission Cons: somewhat small so don’t expect to be here more than 2hrs to be honest (I walked the whole zoo and domestic animal exhibit in 1.5hrs total), parking is difficult.

I visited with my family of 5 on a Wednesday morning. We were there right when they opened at 10am and avoided the crowd. There is a lot of walking so make sure to wear comfy shoes. The zoo itself is very clean, not many animals but the ones there are adorable! The highlights are the American bald Eagles and the Lynx. The bear would have been nice to see but he was nowhere in sight. We bought souvenirs that were stuffed animals. (2 for $32) Magnets were ($4.00) Staff was friendly. Phillip, a staff member, played a nice game with the kids. There is a petting zoo area that is included in with the purchase of your zoo tickets. Food dispensers for the kids to feed the goats and llamas and also hand sanitizer stations. All in all, it was a nice little trip that we took from Long Island. We spent two hours here and as a family of 5 we spent $43.50 on the admission. Not bad at all!

This was nice little zoo with a good set of animals to see beautiful wildlife and ample places to sit down relax and take pictures. There was even a little playground inside the zoo.We also were able to see the sea lion feeding. We went on a saturday at 3pm although there was a good amount of people there we were able to see everything and walk around without bumping into others.

Very nice small zoo easy to get to and great parking . The petting zoo is the best and the animals are very friendly .

The zoo is a nice outing with family. The kids will enjoy it. There's a petting zoo as well and next to it there is carousel, small roller coaster and other rides for the kids.

This Zoo is in the middle of Queens . It Is a great place for all ages ! It is fairly simple . With lots to see as you walk a path . Set in shrub, trees and tall grasses spots . . You must check it out . I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I perfect place to enjoy the outdoors.

Like many venues, you must make your reservation on line or you may be disappointed when you get there. This zoo is small, but just lovely. It is landscaped beautiful. The viewing is excellent for animal visibility. They also have a domestic side where you can feed the goats and sheep. You can get through this zoo in an hour and a half-2 hours. The only thing is parking could be a problem. There is a small free lot, otherwise you have to park on the street in a residential area, not too much availability, hit or miss.

Great zoo, worth the 10 bucks, good variety and flow. Check out the petting zoo too.

We saw many animals that we didn't see in other zoos: like Southern Pudu(the smallest deer) Andean bears, pumas, alligators, pronghorns, many colorful birds, peccary, bald eagles! And the many species of plants like a Botanical Garden and Zoo combined, amazing place to go with the whole family

So cute and so fun ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Food is expensive, but the animals are amazing. Definitely go, it's only $10 for adults and like 7$ for kids.

Queens Zoo is a pretty small zoo. Great for younger kids. It was clean and well taken care of. We parked and then had to walk about 10 minutes to the entrance. There were no signs pointing where to go to actually get to the entrance. The sea lion show was great and the petting zoo as well where you can feed the animals. There wasn't a large variety of animals but it was a pleasant way to spend an hour or 2.

Smaller zoo, but very well laid out. Good, engaging exhibits. Can't believe the souvenir shop didn't have clothing in child sozes

Visiting the Queens Zoo makes me really appreciate the Bronx zoo. With that zing, there is nothing wrong here. Just a much smaller place. It’s set up as a large one-way circle. Probably less than 1 mile in length if you were to walk straight through. Pumas, bald eagles, parrots, seals, funny-looking bears. And a petting zoo at the end for the kiddies. Due to covid you can only buy tickets ahead online.

Not as big as the Bronx Zoo but it was fun. Pictures of the animals if you want them.

Nice place for all. Plenty of activities and glad to know they're open for private events.

I have the membership so got in for free. Parking is somewhat limited but I got lucky finding a spot around noon. Didn’t think the zoo was too small and was pleasantly surprised to see there was a “petting zoo” as well. Given proximity, will be returning again.

The animals are cute as ever! Half of the zoo was closed and the staff was constantly popping up everywhere to make sure your mask was on at all times. Most of the bathrooms were not working and filthy. Overall, I wish I would have waited until the zoo was fully open and operational. The petting zoo part was open and by far the best part.

Katherine Stubbs

Spacious, lots of greenery and family friendly. There are not as many animals as a bigger zoo but they have a good variety and the animals look happy and healthy. This zoo is such a good deal. You can also bring food and eat at the Cafe area.

Helene

For $10 this place is worth it! And it's perfect for my 5 year old to walk around on. I think bronx zoo was too big for him, queens zoo is just perfect. Living less than 2 miles is a plus too! Not sure why we never visited previously. Will definitely return here in the coming years!
