You will see all the reviews of real people like you who used the services and products of Galaxy Cinemas Belleville (Zoo) near Belleville (Canada).
Nowadays the business gets a score of 4 stars out of 5 and that score is based on 127 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is really good, and it is founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the rating is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are pleased, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to write reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo belongs to the category of Movie theater.
Very comfortable seating, kept very clean, always smiles from the staff.
Great most of the time. Had to leave once because the 3D showing of Black Panther wasn't projecting correctly. We were however reimbursed with vouchers for the inconvenience, and were given a Black Panther souvenir for our troubles, to boot.
All ways great. Try the hotdogs best ever.
Worst Theatre I have EVER been in. (and we go weekly) We ordered our tickets on line & paid for premium seats. There are only 2 rows of these seats & when we got there someone was sitting in our seats-they moved down the row and that couple actually moved 5 times before the show started. They did not pay for premium seats and there should have been an attendant for the theatre at the end of those 2 rows checking tickets. That should be a perk of paying extra & reserving these seats. There was no butter topping, there was no ice and we had to pay for flavoured powder topping. Are for freaking kidding me....those are 3 of the most important things. I gave 1 star because the air conditioning was working. Belleville you need to get in the game-premium seats are what we have in Bowmanville, Oshawa & Whitby.
The seats are comfortable and good leg room. There was a spider however, which walked back and forth across the screen (projector lens) the entire movie. Very distracting.
A far cry from the 'Famous Players' of the early 2000s. Overpriced premium seating in theaters that have broken speakers and poorly maintained projectors. In addition, the power went out during our most recent movie trip which completely ruined the immersive experience of the film.
It's a great experience they treat people amazing it's clean but me and my daughter can't see 3d but we love to watch movies here
Very friendly staff..easily accessible.. good sound effects.. neat n clean
How could you not like going to the movies? I love going to the movies. The theater is always clean and the staff always friendly.
Effortless as usual. So easy to get tickets.
Awesome expérience! Best part of our excursion was the supurb service we recieved from Ben. Ben knows how to make the best swamp water and the way he butterd the popcorn. ???????? You rocked it Ben!
Theatres are excellent, however, online ticket purchases are complex and some payment options don't work.
Love the popcorn and movies...just not the prices
Movie theater pretty decent. Washrooms need a touching up.
Great place.... Excellent ???? seat
I went to go see Hustlers and it was an amazing movie! Staff was friendly and the reserved seats were comfortable.
Ticket - no problem. However; kid at food counter needed help figuring out my change. Usher wasn't sure where my seat was and didn't think to remind me (or other viewers apparently) where the 3D glasses were. Reclining "prime" seats are 1, maybe 2 steps better than airplane seats.
10 people in show felt safe
When are the leather recliners coming to belleville. Ever since Kingston updated we've been driving there to see movies. Its a little far but its a way better experience.
Decent theatre, most of the screens are a good size. Seating isnt terrible. Food is really overpriced though
Worst experience at a movie theatre EVER! Sure, there's COVID, but... it was FREEZING in there! I shook the whole time! Also, I bought a large bag of popcorn and asked for extra BUTTER... It has no salt and was full of OIL, NOT BUTTER! It was disgusting! They didn't even have the flavor packets that I usually buy... waste of $90!!!
It's alright, only thing you can do is watch a movie ... may aswell stay home where its safe todo so, with no viruses..
I love going to this cinema. The staff members are always friendly and very helpful. The place is very clean and they are taking many precautions to stop the spread of covid. I felt very safe going to a movie as a result of the measures they have taken.
It is what it is, it was easy to get tickets and easy to scan in. The seats are pretty comfortable and the employees are very cheerful. You pay the movie tax on any snacks or anything but the movies are always expensive. Detective pikachu was amazing
Love that you can get closed captioning on most movies. Very helpful for the hearing impaired.
Went here 5 times while Assassin's Creed was in and the staff were always friendly and outgoing. Prices were so/so but I expected to pay quite a bit more for snacks and such so otherwise, no complaints from this gal!
Everyone that works here is rude, they all gossip about you as you are purchasing tickets or popcorn and make inappropriate comments making it a very negative experience. All I wanted was to go on a nice date with my girlfriend but these people discriminated against me for being a lesbian. They even attempted to stop me from getting into the movie... what has the world come to
My extended family and I go here every December we can (many of us do not live in Prince Edward County, but this is where we congregate) and the theatre holds many fond memories for us all. I have been coming here for over 10 years, and I have never had a negative experience. Always clean and staff always courteous!
Better than Toronto, doesn't have a zoo full of people
Seats weren't the new fancy leather ones. Movie started right on time with very little previews, I'd rather go to Kingston to the theater there.
Great seats..sound amazing! Very kid friendly too.
Good movies at reasonable price. Good concession stand
There’s always a large selection of movies here, the employees are nice, the food is good and the seats are comfortable. 10/10.
good size theatre, comfortable seats, cool arcade to the side. food is way over priced though. great location and great staff
I mean its a Cineplex theater. The seats have stayed the same albeit the uncomfortable recliners that were added in recent years. Dbox just makes for discomfort while you watch. Unfortunate its the only option in Belleville. It would have been nice to see the theater upgrade instead of the arcade no real person would waste money on that.
Had paid the slight upcharge for reserved seats, and upon arrival our seats were taken by other people. After much confusion and several people shifting around multiple times to try and accommodate each other, a staff person finally came in and explained that they had changed auditoriums so the seating arrangement was different, and we needed to move seats. It was extremely embarrassing and frustrating that they wouldn't have somebody inform people prior to entering the auditorium that the seat on their ticket isn't where they will be sitting. The first 5 minutes of the film were missed due to the confusion that impacted two rows of people.
Enjoyed my Downton Abbey experience
Good for a date night or taking the kids out for a movie. Tuesday is a good day to take the kids as it is less money.
the staff is so ready to help you there very good at makeing you feel welcome .
Great experience, military deal for the CAF families.
They offer a canadian armed forces discount usually isn't to busy and the theatre is well upgraded.
Everything was clean, and Covid/Ticket verification went smoothly. An overall great experience.
Ordered the tickets on line with reserved seating. When we got there the ticket machine wasn’t working (only one machine!) and had to line up for 15 minutes to get the tickets at the concession counter. The reserved seats had less leg room that the regular seats in front of us and certainly not worth the extra cost. Too loud - very hard on the easel
Fantastic movie date night.
If you like movies on the big screen, this is the place to go and see them.
Tried to see Endgame today and although I knew it would be busy and should have arrived earlier, I purchased tickets. Meanwhile the counter person NEXT to me told her customer that if there was no room to come back for a refund, they sold both them and my family tickets. There was NO room. Why sell seemingly more tickets than you have seats for? When I asked for a refund for 2 of my 4 (the kids were able to locate 2 seats at the front so that they can crane their necks to watch the movie), no one was surprised there was no room or that I wanted a refund. I find that kind of telling. No one offered to move us to another time, or even apologized. And yet as I was getting a refund, they were selling MORE tickets beside me to the same show I was refunding on. I get trying to make as much as possible, but seriously, if you are out of seats, STOP.
Normally I enjoy this theater, but tonight I reserved 2 seats g10 and g11 only like 6 people in the theater. Both my seats were taken by other people who when told they were in our reserved seats told us to f$%k off. Not an employee to be found when I tried to relay what happened.
I got here all the time, the place is great! And don't forget Tuesday is cheap night!!!
Excellent shows staff good show clean good coffee
Glad to see price of concessions have come down a bit. Disappointed that you have to purchase tickets at a terminal. Taking away jobs for teens.
Nice comfy seats. clean. enjoyed my movie.
Cost is way too high And the food!!! Are you kidding me. Going to have to take out a 2nd mortgage on the house
Good big corporate theatre.
Advertised a movie time on the internet. Drove three hours in from out of town. Movie time was shown on board when I was there. They sold me the ticket for the movie time. When I went to go into the movie, it was the wrong movie listed …
We had d box seats and it was an amazing experience with the seats and my new bf steve the seats are more comfy than the regular seats the popcorn was good and fresh and my we loved the arcade ...even though I beat him at Jurassic park lol
Theater quality, seats and screen okay, the night we went theater it didn't seem clean, smelled a little, the climate control was not working well, was humid in the theater. To top it off, the popcorn is prebagged and cold, twice this has happened now, not likely to buy it again, if I do, going to see if they will bag some fresh popcorn.
Everything was great my only complaint is the seats. The seats need updating
No signs to say if you purchased on line where to go & no staff ti be seen besides the concession stand. When movie started there was loud music with people moving there lips with no sound coming out. This went on you a good 5+ minutes before it was corrected & they didn't even start the movies from the 1st. Should have been refunded our tickets.
It's an awesome theater, but there are a few problems with it for me at least. First the seats, too cramped. If your like me and you don't like people being in your small area then this isn't the place for you honestly...second the god damn overpriced food. Like what the actual hell?
I love this place!!
Had to go see 2nd part of the movie It , quiet not many there ,so got to enjoy the movie
Enjoyed the movie VICE with my youngest son Jacob and my wife. The corruption in politics is beyond scary.
The large theatres have reclining seats! There is a senior discount! Movies are in regular, I max and 3D! I love the relaxing atmosphere in this theatre! Groups are welcome and large groups can get a discount! The food is reasonably priced! The staff are friendly and helpful! The washrooms are large and very clean! This theatre has very wide screens and the movies are enjoyable to watch on the most up to date modern screens! The total area is very new and very well maintained!
They are managing the front door screening including vax passports well, but we encountered an assigned seating dispute along with close contact by persons not wearing their masks correctly once in the theatre. We felt upset because of this …
Typical movie theater experience. Over priced popcorn and drinks. However the seating has come along way, if you can't watch the movie in the comfort of your own home this is the next best thing.
Only selected lines at the food concession sells popcorn. You want to charge me 8$ for a bag of popcorn and I have to stand in a particular line!?!. No, you can keep your overpriced popcorn.
movie screens, seats comfortable but the concession stand service was absolutely terrible. The selection of movie related items for purchase very dated.
Lots of theatres. Clean and well staffed with knowledge of all aspects of the theatre. Prices on food is crazy high though. Almost 14.00 for a small popcorn and small drink.
They have hardly any staff working there and I had to use 3 different computers to buy tickets because one froze and the other wouldn't pick up my finger. The seats are ok but my little one wasn't heavy enough to make it stay down so I had to hold it the whole time.
Pretty sure I was overcharged at the concession, like more than listed prices overcharged. The line in concession took over ten minutes. I'm sure they could do better.
It was nice to go see a movie in a theatre again even though it was a kid's movie. Butit was my son's first time seeing a movie on the enjoyed watching Paw Patrol.
Nice cinema, friendly and helpful staff when we couldn't get our prepurchased tickets to download they wrote out tickets for us. Nice theatre, clean.
Update- Feb 17,2019 Well, they went the other way, more premium seating with those 4 D seats. I feel the value is getting so outrageous! Popcorn is so cheap to make yet cost more than your tickets. Pop is so cheap yet again so overpriced. No more free popcorn flavour you need to pay. Scene card food discounts are gone. I used my Christmas Holiday booklet purchase. I couldn’t get it to work on my phone and had to spend 15min extra to go on my computer to choose the location to order my single free ticket. Used to be a better holiday pack deal too. Cheaper every year. I subtracted 1 star for the lack of value for $$ Two kids with kids popcorn, Two adults 1 free ticket and one free popcorn, two medium pops = $65 Needs updating and needs to get rid of the annoying "premium" seats. Lately they have been making people purchase tickets from food counter. I guess they need to cut expenses in upper management as I can't see why over inflated popcorn prices and 3D inflated Tickets can't make this business money.
Staff helpful and kept everyone distanced
Pretty good, though getting to need an update
The dBox seats are awesome. I was not sure how I would feel about them, but if you are doing something an action movie and want to be more emerged then ever this is the way to go.
Good place to bond wth people and enjoy the movies you love like or wanna watch . Recommended for everyone
Good theatre. I love the reserve seating. Bigger chairs and no worry about where you are sitting. Show up at the last minute and your chair is waiting for you.
Love this theater. Up to date movies, can reserve seating. 3D and DBox its awesome
I moved to Belleville almost 3 months ago and a real movie goer. I asked a question on, wheather there were recliner seats in this theatre, a few people answered my question by saying yes. So...we went to the show knowing my mother could raise her leg up after her knee surgery. Hello, and thx alot people...no recliner seating. Do people know what recliners are...the seat reclines back and lifts you feet up arm rests etc. No problem if the technology hasn't arrived here yet but it was my first thought was Galaxy Cineplex needs to renovate, don't you think so?
It was good. The staff was friendly. Overall great place. However I cant get over how many people leave their garbage layi g there after the show is over..... Would they do that at home after a movie?
It certainly will be the last time i take my family used to be able to go to the movies get a meal and popcorn with drinks was always around 100 now the cost was over 200 spent can order pizza wings order a couple movies on tv and have all the popcorn i can eat for my family from home for about 80 and kids enjoy that much better than movie theater and at less than half the cost and save my back from the terrible seats that a paid extra for and the no free refills on their 1000% markup on popcorn and pop seems a little ridiculous i will save my money not worth it anymore i was happy paying 100-150 but over 200 is way too much enjoyed it years ago when the cost wasn't so high
My cousin and I went to see The Greatest Showman yesterday. I hadn't been to the Galaxy in a long time, and I was surprised to see that you now have to line up at the concession stand if you want to pay cash for your movie ticket. I think that's ridiculous. Not everybody wants to use a debit or credit card - some of us still prefer to pay for things like movie tickets in cash. Also, not everybody wants to buy food at the concession stand, especially at those prices: my cousin paid around $11 for a small popcorn and a drink! We did enjoy the movie, though, once we finally got into the theatre. Because of waiting in the long line of people at the concession stand, if it weren't for the 15-20 minutes of coming attractions (that annoys me, too!) we would have missed the first part of the movie.
Firstvtime is yrs awsome
Pretty good theater don't think the upgrade is worth it
Parking can be the only issue, as it is shared with a sprawling shipping centre. Always clean and inviting.
Usually an amazing place to watch a movie. However, yesterday there was a problem with the fire alarm. It just kept ringing. Ruined the movie. The staff ended up giving out free courtesy tickets for movie goers. Bad experience. Great customer service! Will definitely return.
Nice theatre.....so very expensive. A family outting to see the Grinch cost is more than $100. Save some money and go to Centre Theatre in Trenton. See the same movie for less and cheaper conscession.
Tuesday "One Fare" Day ($6.50/person) is fair but how can a theater justify $13.00 for a soft drink, bag of popcorn and a candy treat? The excessive charges at the concessions stands will lead movie theaters to the same fate as "Blockbusters".
Nice venue. Went on Saturday afternoon. I think 4 staff on in total, no reduction in prices mind you. Movies and popcorn for 2 50+ dollars. Ridiculous, and they got rid of the one free refill.. better ways to spend your money
Popcorn is amazing. Tried the new seating with the ones that move. Love it worth the extra cost!
Clean friendly service but no cashiers
My teens and I use the arcade games there more than movies, to be honest. Not a huge section but large enough to kill a couple hours. Price point is better than the cost of food but still pricier than the quarters of yore.
I love the facts that there are self serve kiosks to purchase movie tickets and pick your Prime Seat to enjoy your movie. Very clean up to date premises. Reclining regular seats and leather reclining Prime seats. Regular, I Max and 3D movies available here. Pricing is not to bad, can be considered a little high but not bad for a night out at the movies. Friendly staff.
Favorite place to go when my wallet is feeling a little full also best $20 pop corn around
Similar to other large theater chains. Plenty of parking but we went on a Wednesday late afternoon. The place was clean and pleasant.
I find that the price of a movie is reasonable for the cost of production and entertainment value. I take umbrage at the exorbitant price of concessions. 3 popcorn and 3 beverages should not cost over $40. We complain about the cost of cell phone service, and the greed of telcos, but event venues are just as bad. A beer at a hockey game shouldn't cost $15, and a bag of popcorn shouldn't cost $7.50.
Understaffed and rude. Movie was 20 minutes behind schedule and the manager was very crass about the issue. Was not a good experience. Thankfully, the movie was good.
Great place to take the kids on a rainy day! I wish their phone system was more user friendly - like a live voice would help. Bathrooms could be cleaned more often and could use paper towel - not everyone wants a disturbingly loud dryer in the ear. Prices of food items are a little high. Staff are usually very friendly and helpful.
The place are great, friendly staff and clean! Can't wait for the upcoming marvel movies!
Home for a visit from Alberta, went to my old favorite movie theater to treat the kids, what a ripoff... $40in tickets $50 in snacks and i couldnt even get a second childs cup in lou of a small one. They wouldnt even switch the cup.. No refills on popcorn no nothing has really really gone downhill. I see why everyone goes to landmark in ontario ... terrible experience never will be back..
Was sat in the very front row asked Mandy ( employee) if there was an alternative seating Mandy made me to feel I was bothering her she was very unprofessional .i also reached out to customer service and they were probably at the same level
Nice theatre. Great sound Great screen
Pricey for snacks but the seats are comfortable enough and the volume is good and loud. Small arcade to keep you busy if you're waiting. Think they host birthdays too.
Okay theatre. Seating is not great. Legs cramped in reserved seating, even for someone who's short. Not sure why Kingston has lots of room and reclining, and our reserved is uncomfortable and narrow.
Dirty place. Uncomfortable seats. Sound is garbage and waaaaay over priced. Bought D-BOX tickets not knowing what they are. Terrible
I watched free guy it was a great movie✋ friendly gesture They need to put places to lock up bikes out there there's definitely room to do it but they don't currently have it
Always happy with service here. Super clean, friendly staff, and food is always good. Always my first pick to go see a movie.
Amazing but chairs arent comfy enuf
clean and nice staff :)
Nice enough movie theater. Two ticket kiosks were out of order, slowing down ticket purchases. Service at the concession was a bit on the slow side. I was here on a holiday weekend though and staff was likely at a minimum. The staff that was there though were all pleasant and friendly!
Nice and quite
The only way we can afford to go to the Galaxy in Belleville Ont. Is if we buy the movie night out in Costco in Kingston. The no refill on a large popcorn is a shame it have lost. At least then a family could afford it. I prefer to go to Kingston over Belleville cause I find it a lot nicer that they have the men and ladies washroom on both sides of the theatre. My husband has arthritis in his knees as I do and it is painfull for him to walk so it isvery nice to just walk out and both washrooms to be available.
Usually pretty clean, seats in good condition. But get tickets early, fills up quickly. Belleville could use another movie theatre.
3 people watching 9:00 movie lots of open seats
it was ok had to tell the staff to take the mute off and dim the lights after that it was ok but its Christmas so what.
It's clean and fun. I do miss the human run wickets though, buying tickets online and converting up/down for 3d/non-3d can get a little confusing on the kiosks.
Whoever is setting up the times that the movies are played at needs to find a new job. The only kids movie on the entire roster of movies being played right now doesn't start until 7:30pm and again at 10:05pm. Like come on who wants to pay …
Always a great place to see a Movie.
Service and experience was good. Expensive family outing though.
Great inside service, however the automated answering service for the advertised number does not provide a contact point to speak with an operator for further inquiries.
Went to see 007. It was in 3D.
Great place to go see a movie. Very clean and good service.
Got to love movies! And no better place to watch them!
I usually take my grandkids. Movies are great. The food/ drinks and popcorn are priced extremely high. To me it's highway robbery
Took my grandkids today to see Sonic . As my grandson is 10, he was thru his kids drink before movie started . Took cup out to refill and the lady , im assuming some type of manager , refused to refill it since he did not “spill it “. Would make more sense to me to refill the cup (which I took the lid and straw off ) so she didn’t have to touch it, than to give me another cup and lid to throw in the garbage . I’m assuming if he had spilt it she would have refilled it . I’m guessing she just wanted the $5.30 for a child’s drink . Which is ridiculous!! Lady was very rude!!
Absolutely the worst website I've ever used. I dare you to find what movies are playing and at what time. Otherwise, it's just an over priced place to see movies. Popcorn and drinks so grossly expensive you can't afford to take your family..just head over to Trenton's Centre Theatre and have a nice friendly time at a movie theatre you can afford to take the family to. It's recently had a complete makeover and is comfortable inexpensive.
They need someone available to help with the ticket purchasing. Older generation do not find this easy.
The 3D movies at this theatre are set so dim that it is straining on the eyes to see the show. The person setting it up doesn't adjust the difference for the dark shade of the 3D glasses. I've been a theatre buff for years and when asking the staff if they can fix this problem and they really don't see it. Is no one else complaining?
On a Monday evening my wife and I made a last minute decision to see a movie, we arrived at the theatre a few minutes late and found the concession stand closed, at 8:35pm. Spoke with what looked like a manager and we were just put off .. 'policy' .. were given the impression that we were bothering him. Drove all the way to Peterborough, got snacks and enjoyed the movie.
I was shocked that there was no refills on popcorn. It costs pennies to make and they sell it for over 6 dollars. Greed by the owners is disgusting at this location. Everything is overpriced here. Save your money and watch it later on your home screen. Soon greed like this will put these places out of business and they won't get any sympathy from me!
The line to purchase tickets at the refreshments counter is absolutely insane. I don't want to stand in a huge line while families decide on what to order. If this Is how cineplex is going to operate then I am done going. Today will be my last. Time for rentals on TV or Netflix. Enough of this BS.
Always a great time. Pricey but a nice outing.
Took the kids to see Frozen and they loved it! Into the unknown, I ordered a poutine there. I was surprised it was made with waffle style fries and was kind of spicy. Afterwards I caught myself wishing they sold sliced cucumber.
We went and seen Star Wars Rise of Skywalker in 3D DBOX! It was soo amazing...Definitely worth the extra money. If you havent seen a movie in the DBOX seats you are missing out!!!
Friendly staff and clean. Just wish the other moviegoers weren't so ignorant, but that's not the theaters fault.
Great place to watch movies
The movie we wanted to watch was not playing due to a "busted projector". No notes anywhere and we had to find someone at the concession stand to find out, since there is no human at the ticket counter anymore.
You'll love the seating. Very comfortable, they can lean back, you can even rock them. Screen and sound system are amazing.
I think for a father and a son to go see a movie on a Sunday early afternoon should not cost $58. We went to go and see a new movie Goosebumps 2. It took us 19 minutes in line because you have to buy your tickets and your popcorn at the same place unless your fancy-dancy and you can use the new machines. Just for me to get two drinks and two popcorns with a little snack for my son was $28 just for two popcorns and two drinks in one snack. I know next time to eat before I go but I mean come on. It's only popcorn and soda pop. I never thought a bag of Skittles would have costed over $8 I'm thinking I don't know. I just $58 for 2 to go see a movie on a Sunday afternoon... it was a spur-of-the-moment thing. I'm not a coupon kind of guy. But I like my popcorn when I watch a movie. I don't blame the staff I blame Cineplex
Not a big fan of this Cinema as we were walking in we noticed there was garbage in the corners and stains all over the flooring. We were greeted by a staff member who directed us to are ticket seller and then the theatre and they were very helpful. Once we got inside the theatre we found it very musty and it seemed like there was an odour in it like it hasn't been washed in a while. Don't think I'll be returning as my customer experience wasn't met.
Excellent
Took out a 2nd mortgage for some popcorn and drinks. Lol
Always a good time. Comfy reclining chairs. Good selection of movies. Food court serves alcohol and vast array of food items. Our fave the chips n' cheese! Awesome little arcade area with 2 claw machine games - guaranteed prize (soft colourful ball). Used to bring my baby here for stars and strollers. Low lighting and a change table placed at front $2 off ticket price and baby goes free up to age 3! :)
Before the pandemic the theater was often dirty and the prices are becoming very steep, now the staff have taken great measures to keep it clean but the prices don't make me want to return.
Best movie theater in the City
good location, nice staff. really high priced concessions
While this Galaxy was once a decent place to go see a movie, it has become extremely outdated...The ladies washroom reals of old urine smell...This is considerably disturbing since it's located directly beside canteen, where burgers fries are ordered...the food choices are absolutely nothing healthy...they have no Pretzels, no fruit to buy...The only foods are popcorn, burgers, nachos, fries, hotdogs, frozen yogart...Nothing for anyone who wanted to live past 50 years old...Best Theatre in the Belleville to Kingston corridor is Landmark Cinema...Don't waste money at the over priced Galaxy or Cineplex Theatres...
Love this place. We have scene card and debit card and visa and havent paid for a movie in over 4 years. This is our go-to spot and they have military discounts for food !!
The theatre was fine. I can't believe how much they hose you at the concession counter. It makes me want to stay home and watch Netflix.
Great.. expesully when power went out
Been awhile since I saw a movie, lots of leg room, like how the seats recline
I’ve never had a bad experience. Friendly staff, clean facilities, warm environment for watching the film. If you’re here to complain about concession prices then grow up. It’s how they are able to make any money. Support the cinema, buy your popcorn and drink and be happy that the place is still here
Great place to see a movie Staff are extremely friendly and helpful
The 3d movie and vip seating was awesome
Can get expensive with tickets and food but a good night out. Comfortable seating.
The only thing i dont like about the Movies these days are by the time my 2 kids wife and i leave we spend over $100 and thats just tickets and popcorn! Its crazy! Kids love it tho
Yes its true, that you cannot get free refills here. For the price you pay, at least you'd think the owner would consume that expense.. I mean whats the least you can offer, 2 bags of popcorn and 2 drinks? Free 1 refill drink and popcorn. Thats not too much.
Would not go there right now due to the virus
Had a bad experience right from the start. Kiosk wouldn't scan my scene card, kiosk didn't give me my tickets and I eventually got a hand written tickets for myself and 3 grandchildren. Got to theater early and was going to let them play a few games at the arcade but the ticket machine wouldn't take cash and I didn't have a credit card on me. Decided to just get some popcorn and a drink for the grandchildren and go into the movie. This being the first time I took them all to the movies and not knowing any better, I asked for a small popcorn and drink for each. Nearly $50.00 later and a slight stroke, we were off to the movies, which the kids enjoyed very much. After getting home and telling their mother how I now know why I have cable TV and don't go to the movies, she tells me that the theatre has a childs comb for about 8 bucks and couldn't understand why that wasn't pointed out to me. I guess that with corn being used to make ethanol these days it's only natural that popcorn follows the price of gas. That's my beef for today.
It was a great experience and they had everyone spaced out perfectly ????
Very clean Great popcorn
Great spot.
The lion king movie was amazing my Kid and her friend loved it!
Did the stars and strollers movie, it actually wasn't bad and it was great to get out of the house with a new baby!
Mediocre selection of films to watch, and ridiculous prices. The best theater of its kind in Belleville because it's the only theater of its kind in Belleville.
Comfortable chairs and a cool atmosphere
I've been going to this theatre since it opened but I won't be going anymore. Closing the ticket desk to forcee to either use a badly programmedaching or line up at the concession stand is a really short-sighted business decision. Alienating regulars this way is just dumb considering how little money saved. Overworking the concession staff leads to frustration and mistakes which also leads to pissed off customers. Owners, you can't aford this. Like so many others I bought a big screen TV and am going online. Better popcorn at home too.
Nice theater experience. Cool arcade. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff.
No Social distancing in theater at all
Expensive as always for snacks but love the theatre.
Good theatre. Cheaper than the one in Regina. Reclining seats are always a plus!
The theatres are good and the arcade will kill time food is a little slow but at the end of day it's a good place
People are just very anxious waiting outside to get tickets... at least you should have an easier access to buy tickets. It's friday...c'mon!
All employees have a stick up their as*. Won’t ever come to this theatre in future experiences. By far, this is the worst experience I have encountered through service, accountability, as well as professionalism. If I had to give this review a 0 star then I would with no regrets.
Food is way, WAY too over priced. I get that's how they are suppose to make their money, but I never buy the food there because I always feel ripped off. Bathrooms almost always seem like a damp cave. If I can I almost always avoid it. The theatres themselves are alright. I have been in better in Kingston and Ottawa, but these get the job done and I don't feel like the tickets are overpriced unless it's the D-Box seats or whatever they're called. Ultimately that's all I'm there for is the movie. I will either eat before or after the movie and my bladder is super resistant from years of video games so I don't usually ever need the bathroom there.
Clean, friendly staff, comfortable seating in reserved section, and 8 theaters which allows for a decent selection of films. The online reserved seating selection makes it appear as though the reserved section is closest to the screen when in reality it is 8 rows back.
They show movies, nothing special.
The whole place was kept very clean, protocols were being followed and I really loved the blocked off seating when reserving our tickets. Made me feel very safe and comfortable during our first movie night out since the pandemic started.
Great friendly staff, quick service
Terrible seating. Needs to be upgraded.
Loved it! Its time in a long time I went to a movie! Select seating was great!
Overall it is just like any other theater. The thing that I didn't really like is that the auditorium I was in, #8, could use a good cleaning mainly the seat fabric.
Went and seen Gemeni was a great experience in DBox
Every single time I went there I had the best possible experience. I'm an exchange student so I thought it was a little pricey although all the structure is pretty good. I've been there so many times with my friends, host family and I even took my girlfriend for date twice!! There are not so many rooms because of the demand. There was nothing missing tho. My tip would he to buy all the snacks and beverages at Doloroma and then go watch the movie.
Loved the way they treat people and and the thoughtful way they keep everything sanitized and clean.
Nothing beats this dirty old cinema in Belleville, great memories from high school had here.
Great Time.... Kids Movie.. and staff has lots of patience and smiles even with all these children....
Love this theatre. Very clean and friendly staff willing to help you.
So wonderful to return to the theater with seeing a really good movie Shang-Chi.
Went to see FF9 afternoon showing. So they had just opened. Place was very clean. Movie was about 20 mins late starting, but staff were professional and let everyone know about a system reboot then everything ran fine. Food was VERY …
The movie quality and sound is amazing and the seats are soft an comfortable, snacks were good and popcorn was great. Over all a good experience but there's always room for improvement
Excellent service and very well managed for covid so you have the space to feel relaxed when watching the movie
The staff is doing a great job with its covid counter measures. The place is immaculate. These folks have been off work for months. Hats off to them!
Nice place. Seats are comfortable. Very clean
Awesome new seats for the extra cost
I like this theatre but it's soooooo cold!! The last few times I have been there myself and my friends have to be bundled up to watch the movie. Not nice and there is no email contact info on the website
Good movie quality, seating was dated. The type where the bottom seat folds up when you stand up. Slightly creaky if you move around or readjust your seating.
Its kinda dope, they show you movies
great movie and closed caption too wow. i can read and feel.
First time to see a movie and was the worse experience ever at the show. Staff attitude was virberlly rude. My sister, niece and l buy tickets ahead and arrived 35 minute early. Five minutes before the show staff order us out of the seats for the whole mid section I able to hear. We apologize jump up only to be told no assistance show is full. Manager was told and listened but no reply felt that we were being laughed at. Thanks
Clean atmosphere, friendly staff. Just not crazy on the price of popcorn lol
I took my granddaughter to the Saturday matinee. The start of March break. The movie chosen by Cineplex was cold the Fantastic Fox. I was appalled. An animated movie with stuffed animal looking creatures killing chickens and ducks. Then having the farmers shooting and trying to kill these creatures. This is not a family movie in my eyes. The theater was silent. There was no laughter. I truly don't think there was anyone that actually enjoyed this movie. It was an absolute waste of $30 yes. And definitely not a movie for my four-year-old granddaughter. I won't be back
Lots of staff which made for less line ups. The floor in the theatre looked pretty bad. Paint was chipped up everywhere. Older theatre with non lazy boy recliners. Hopefully because it is not being freshened up yet means they are going to be soon upgrading to the lazy boy recliners
I'm an avid movie lover so of course it's a five star from me! Seriously love the movies and the military discount, keep it up Cineplex you're killing it!
We all had a ball, unfortunately our waitress at Swiss Chalet was z bust that night and made us late so we sat at the very front if the show as we arrived later. Oh well we have learned to make the best of a bad thing
Pam the Manager couldn't help at all with are scene card. Said it wasn't their issue. So after not being unable to use are points. The movie started well over 20 mins late. WORST MOVIE EXPERIENCE EVER
its a nice place but the food and drinks are expensive and the films are nice and nice seats their are arcade games too you can play and a wide screen that curves a bit it makes it seem that your in the film kinda
Nice to be back to good cinema:)
Fresh popcorn, comfortable seats, courteous staff, well organized for just having opened. An enjoyable experience.
Everything is quick and easy to get your seat, and everyone is kept safe
I love this theater! There are only eight screens but all but 1 are a really good size. The foyer is spacious, the conceasions are always good. There are even some more substantial food options if you were planning on dinner out. I do think they need more bistro seats for dining and though the theming is fun it is getting a little stale.
Fantastic place to grab some popcorn and watch a movie!
To many little meat head teenagers talking threw movies
I didnt actually go and see a movie, i went for gift cards. The young gentleman on the cash where u purchase the gift cards was so very helpful and friendly, i wish i knew his name. He did a great job.
The movie prices are good but the food and popcorn could be a little cheaper overall our experiences at Galaxy Cinemas has been great
I saw the movie instant family, and I totally loved it
Clean nice people alright food very expensive and I don't like that they sell alcohol now makes it less family friendly
The prices for food is too over priced. Not needed. Just bring in your own snacks in your wife's purse.
The one and only source of entertainment in Belleville for movies. It is nice, decent ambience, and has a humble staff to make your experience more pleasurable.
Good service, a bit cheap on the extra butter, comfy seats
Just saw Captain Marvel in theaters today and it was amazing! The chairs in the theatre are very comfortable and I could sit comfortably throughout the whole movie! Without have to readjust how I was sitting!
Was super excited to celebrate popcorn day and watch 1917 with my father. Only to be told I'm "one of those customers" and my membership has been discontinued. Can't redeem my points or a popcorn. I gave the manager the opportunity to help me. He said he looked forward to this complaint and doesn't care if he looses a customer. You get what you wish for man.
Very nice to know we have DBOX now... Great experience with movie like Captain Marvel... Kids love it...
When they get reclining seats I'll give 5 star
Good crew, good food, really enjoyable
Who doesn't love movies?? Feels pretty surreal as perfect big picture
Facilities are fine. Men's washroom is always gross. Popcorn is always tasty. Be aware, upgraded concessions no longer get free refills here. (Advised by their staff Jan 4-2013)
