You must have seen that its rating is almost the highest, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we may conclude that the valuation is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to value when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to give opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo is classified in the category of Zoo.
The zoo has everything. It's huge plan on a lot of walking. They have pony rides, a gentle none getting wet log ride, a train ride. Everything cost tokens which they have machine's where you buy them. They are a buck each. Most things are two tokens per adult. Food and drinks are very expensive plan to bring a picnic. They have a nice shaded area for that. It's a no smoking zoo. But you can get your hand stamped and smoke at your car. They have stroller and wagon rentals also
Great Zoo! Took my Niece and Nephew on my first visit to FW Zoo. Easy to get around, you can get up close to many of the animals. Of course since my wife loves Giraffes we had to feed one.
Quite possibly the best zoo I have ever been to (before or since our visit)! The enclosures are really big, but have so many points for viewing, you can't miss the animals. It's open a little later, so you can go at times when animals are active. Lots of fun ways to get around the zoo too (boat rides, train, etc).
Always a fun experience! I grew up coming to this zoo and even though I live out of town, my husband and I bring our girls once a year.
One of the most quiet tranquil zoos our family has visited. The trip was very peaceful. They have many animals other zoo's do not. The staff was friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Wonderful place with well laid out exhibits. However be aware, most people without masks and did not maintain social distance. All zoo staff were wearing masks.
I was very surprised with the size of this place, was an incredible experience! Very clean and organized, there you can meet many animals of worldwide.
The family had fun seeing the attractions, but there was alot left to be desired. Most of the "featured" animals were not able to be accessed because of one reason or another, and some of the rides were closed as well. It is a bit pricey for a family of more than 3. We spent more on lunch than we did for admission. Will return sometime, but probably not soon.
Love the zoo up here. It is always a good time for a day with my kiddo!
Always an awesome experience!! Thank you everyone at the Fort Wayne Indiana Zoo for making it a special day for my fiance and our little girl. She was over the moon and can't wait for mommy and daddy to take her back????????????????
Perfect day to go to the zoo. The weather was beautiful and was able to park in first lot no lines.
Visted July 12, 2019: They charge a dollar per token. So, it's 2 tokens for a train ride, and the merry go round. 1 token for two pieces of lettuce to feed the giraffe, not sure how much for the half ride. We didn't go on that. All are cash, but some of the token machines will take debit cards and credit cards. I was very unimpressed with the face painting. Example, for a tiger they just put orange paint on then just black lines. They have newly remodeled capuchin monkey exhibit. Currently working on the lion exhibit, so don't get disappointed, they'll be back! Friday and Saturday11:00 & 3:00 they have "Zoo Keeper Chats" at various exhibits. Now in the 'Austrailia' section they have a water feature that doubles as a learning area/cooling down area for kids...sorely disappointed by the lack of water flow. It was barely enough to keep the rocks wet. They have a nice dinning area where you can order or bring your own.1 stand where you order food and another for ice cream and slushies cold drinks. You can toch manta rays and stingrays which is next to aquarium actually really convenient that it is next to the dining area so after you get done eating go right into the aquarium. Had some disappointment but you can't satisfy everyone so it was okay.
Good zoo easy to walk through
Great zoo! They have Keeper Chats for their animals at certain times of the day. Those are very entertaining and educational. Watch the seals do tricks sometime!
Not the biggest or best zoo in the country, but a great one in a smaller market area.
First trip for my 1.5 year old granddaughter. She was thrilled...squealed with happiness on multiple occasions while looking at or interacting with the animals. Signed... asking for more after each animal station. Obviously she is in love with your animals!!! A really, really good day for her...and for her grandpa! Lifetime memory.
We absolutely love coming here any chance we get. Our son has high behaviors with autism, but has a huge love for animals. This is his happy place! He had an up close moment with one of the beautiful giraffes that melted our hearts ????
The zoo is very well kept and welcoming. The staff is incredibly friendly. A great place to visit and appreciate with children, a group of adults, or solo. I like to go when it quiets down after 2pm. It is even enjoyable with a different dynamic when it is raining.
Don’t go for the rides (sky ride, log ride, pony ride) in October. All were closed for the season, during the week or because of a needed part, blah, blah, blah. Went there with two grandkids and they had fun, but I was disappointed that no one seemed to know what was going on. But, on the plus side the food across from stingray exhibit has best French fries in the city.
Great Zoo. Beautiful and well thought out. Visit was cut short due to weather but would 100% recommend.
Really nice zoo! Their Africa expansion is fantastic!
It was great a lot of variety of animals, a aquarium, kids train, souvenirs, food and snacks a enjoyable place to visit.
It was a great day to visit the zoo. The weather was perfect. Every exhibit was open, which hasn't been the case for the last few visits. We had a great day.
Such a fantastic zoo! We will go back! Lots to do and exhibits are great!
Has fun. Haven't been to a zoo in years
I absolutely love the zoo. But last weekend I didn't get to see the lions because they had to repair the fence around them. So I was so disappointed. But the zoo is my favorite place to go to.
The aquarium is fantastic. The horticulture is wonderfully done. The Sky Lift seriously needs some music and better scenery. I still miss feeding the goldfish and the Reptile boat from my childhood.
Did the Festival of Lights last evening 5K. A good time and benefits a great organization Blue Jacket.
We loved it in 2017! Staff was great. Wide spaces yet it's round design is perfect for adults to spot their kids with ease. Open live exhibits. Touching the sting rays was exciting for all my family. We loved feeding the giraffes. Even though we weren't allowed to pet the giraffe, the giraffe didn't take the lettuce but kept licking our hands and clothes as if it was like a cat wanting alot of pets and affection. The Safari exhibit was good for the location, however San Diego Safari park is far better. Africa would be the ideal choice, but for saving money and giving kids the experience that's local, go to fort Wayne. Very sad to hear the train ride has been taken away.
Lots of fun things to do and a great place for everyone... plus tons of great photo opportunities!... Loved the animals and the staff:)
Great place to spend an afternoon with our daughter. The zoo was very stroller-friendly and there were many options for snacks.
Great zoo! We love the stingrays and monkeys! Would be nice if the zoo had better transportation inside for disabled persons. My elderly father went with us and we had to walk all over to find a wheelchair for him.
By far the worst zoo to take you or your children. Management does not offer any sort of compensation for their lack of. We went to see lions and the enclosure was closed. But they do offer a ton of bird species if you're into birdwatching, this zoo is for you.
GIRAFFES! ???? We love this zoo! If you have children and are in the Fort Wayne area, this is a must. We have a year membership and have already been 5 times this summer. We still haven’t seen everything, done all the rides, or been to the petting zoo. We spend between 1-2 hours each time and focus on a specific section within the park. Our favorite so far has been the giraffe feeding. It is a $1 token for a piece of lettuce and you get up close and personal with a giraffe. It is such a neat experience. It’s not always available, though. Sometimes the giraffes are taking a break or aren’t around the platform, so maybe call and ask if that’s something you are wanting to do. Another bonus during the hot summer days is that most of the zoo is shaded with mature trees. It definitely makes a difference with the heat.
The Girrafe enclosure is great experience for people of all ages. You can buy lettuce leaves and feed the girrafe, so you experience it very close. One of the nice amenities in Fort Wayne.
This is the best zoo in the tri-state area in my opinion. <3 our zoo!
We had a lot of fun at this zoo. Tons of animals were Gone from their areas but the ones that were out were easy to see. The staff was very friendly and knew their animals well. Very clean rest areas and hand sanitizer and wash basins were plenty. I only gave 3 stars because they really need to work on the map and directions of eateries shops bathrooms n such I don’t think I’ve ever had so much trouble finding things. Thank goodness they weren’t very busy. On next trip I’ll update if needed. But over all this is a good zoo for the price my granddaughter had a very fun first trip to a zoo.
Went there with my family and we enjoy the Zoo and the rides. Was impress how clean, and big actually is. Animals look healthy and beautiful, keep on doing a great job! Was our first time there , we just relocate here a week ago. My husband is from here , last time he was at this Zoo was in the 80's , he loved to be back!! Thank you !!
Outstanding! Even in cooler weather. The animals were out and my boy loved it!
We chose a slightly better day to come out on Sunday, but even the animals said it was too hot at 2pm. This is a great Zoo for children, it's big enough to where you can move around, but it's not too big to where it's overwhelming. Pro tip, get your child a sun shaded cart if you want to avoid a melt down on super hot days. The cart is about the price of a popsicle & bottle of water. Don't get super cheap about that cart, you'll wish you had hahahah
Nice clean place for family time. Staff very informative, work well with children.
No
I love this zoo I do wish that they had a bigger aquarium also absolutely love the penguins but overall the zoo is a very nice zoo I would don't complain about it if they try to keep it clean and you can see them always out there trying to clean up and picking stuff up The last time I went they didn't have everything open yet but it was very nice to see all of the animals that they did have out I do wish that they had a penguin experience where you could pay to maybe feed the penguins or touch the penguins I think it would be very interesting because penguin is my favorite animal
Had an awesome time with my SO and our kids! Can't wait to go again when our 1 month old is older and can enjoy the animals!
Ft. Wayne zoo is a great place for adults and kids alike. We always get a membership every year. There is always fun things to do.
Great Zoo! It is kid friendly as my 13 month old enjoyed it. I would say it is geared more to kids older than mine. My boy loved the train and the log ride. We were there from open until 3pm and most of the animals were asleep. The food to choose from is very basic and feeding a 13 month old a hot dog is hard enough, then to do in a stroller. There were no accommodations for a child his age in this regard. He seemed to like the barnyard animals but we missed the feeding time. As every parent knows there was not going to be waiting for 40 mins for the next one. We was not able to make it to the African section as our boy fell asleep after getting off the carousel. Having to go through that entire section to get to the carousel was a bit annoying and felt like a waste of time. Could barely see the Orangutans because of all the other people huttled up at the windows who never seemed to move. We will go back when he is older, until then we will stick with the Indianapolis Zoo as they have more interactions for a child his age. Not to mention dolphins that he will love!!
Loved hanging out with the kids walking through seeing the animals enjoying ourselves was a wonderful day when I went !!
I love this place, it's the perfect thing for a family vacation or a short visit. It's really cool, you get to ride a train and more! You can also fish out there. The people are amazing also. I think they were really nice.
Loved the zoo bbq nice animals and staff was very helpful.
Bringing back memories of childhood, mixed with new exhibits like Sting Ray Bay, Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is a treat for all generations. Today we were provided a special picnic lunch in Parkview pavilions I didn't even know existed for a company outing and the zoo exceeded my expectations with an outing that stood out from any previous picnics. Spacious, clean environment, shade from the heat and hidden like a little nest from the rest of the zoo, the pavilions were a very pleasant place to meet. The zoo itself provided all day fun for the family.
This zoo is amazing for it being a smaller zoo. There is plenty of shade when walking and plenty of places to take a break and sit if you need it.just remember when feeding the Giraffe to not touch it....
The zoo has so much to offer. This is an excellent place to introduce children to a variety of animals from various parts of the world in a habitat that reflects their natural setting. There are opportunities to feed the giraffes and stingrays. The skylift, train, canoe and pony rides are memorable experiences. Regrettably, the zoo was not prepared to handle food service. We waited an hour to get our Thursday lunch. Just a single cashier taking orders. Later in the afternoon the wait for ice cream and an icee was 35 minutes. Take your own cold drinks and pack a lunch will save you quite a bit of time.
Cute zoo. Lots of animals. We went early so a lot of the animals were not out yet. Clean and friendly staff. Food prices were fair as well.
It's big, and getting bigger every year! Great place for kids, lots of signals and always a good time for all!
Had a great time with my family at the zoo! The zoo is celebrating Halloween and they did a great job with the decorations...very festive ????
A wonderful zoo for kids and adults to enjoy a wide array of animals. The new stingray feeding exhibit is fun and exciting! If you want to feed the stingrays be sure to come 10 or 15 minutes before the feeding time as they have a limited number of portions so they are not overfed.
Ever since I was little one of my favorite things to do is come to the zoo. I've loved watching our local zoo grow and become more and more kid friendly and all the different attractions that have come and gone to make the zoo what it is now. Absolutely love it here and my girls always leave with a smile on their face! Never disappointed!
$16–20
Clean environment and well made habitats. The Orangutans are my personal favorite and could make the visit worth it on their own! They do not have any elephants and I vote for more reptiles! The aquariums are very nice. This zoo is very high quality!
Our 3 year old asks to go regularly and looking forward to taking her again soon after they have been closed for the winter. Staff does a great job keeping the park clean and attractive to visitors. Zoo takes pride in caring for the animals and providing a good experience for children and families. My wife's parents have blessed us with a family pass for many years to enjoy several annual visits throughout spring, summer, and fall. The red panda, tigers, and penguins are some of my favorite parts and my oldest daughter loves getting to touch the stingrays. Thank you FW Zoo.
Such a wonderful place for all ages. Kid and wheelchair friendly, baby changing stations in both restrooms plus a family bathroom, and even a nursing station (open room with seating, mostly private) on the African Trail. We love the train ride, but the best experience is feeding the giraffes, just a dollar per romaine leaf. You've got to try it!
Wait time
Beautiful place. Best children's zoo! natural animal habitat. Loved it when I was little and my daughter loves it now.
I took my granddaughter for her first zoo experience. She loved every minute of it and we made some lifetime memories. Plenty to do and see but bring your pocketbook.
Great experience good zoo lots of animals! Great rides. Friendly helpful knowledgeable staff.
A really attractive zoo with an excellent layout. The animals are easy to see, and so many of them Have very nice habitats. Admission is below average of other zoos. Many attractions and concessions. They are the only zoo in US to have Javan gibbons (an arboreal lesser ape) and they have a beautiful family of Sumatran orangutans.
I think the animals could use a little more room. Some of them seem rather sad. The gift shop was a little lacking as well. But overall very kid friendly.
Was a lot of fun seeing lots of animals but very hot not the zoo's fault but the animals were pretty sleepy overall a very good time
Family Reunion haven't ever remembered ever having one long over do and a great place to have one. Pavilion to was clean for the most part just normal ware and tare but all else a1 they have elecric for anyone needing to know!!! Recommend!!!
Not nearly as nice as years ago. I don't understand why the Africa and Australia areas have so much lush greenery. We used to be able to look through the fencing, at the animals, but now it's covered and grown over. It is still a very nice zoo but was a little disappointed based on previous years.
For a small zoo we like it. This zoo is small enough you can see everything in one day.
No wait
The zoo is amazing. However we felt some price shock with some of the extras. We purchased a ride pass for $25 but the ponies were not included we had to buy 6 tokens ($6) for our grandson to ride a pony, 1 token ($1) for a piece of lettuce to feed the giraffe, and 1 token ($1) for 1/8 cup of food to feed the goats. Since I did not have bills smaller than $10s I came home with 9 tokens plus a ride pass that we only used once. understand there was lost revenue last year but it isn't like we made more money last year either. We will continue to visit the zoo but will need to cut back on the extras.
It's a nice zoo and they've added some new things since I was last there. I had a blast even though it was raining
Public holiday
A great Zoo that's we can see in a few hours. My Grand kids love this zoo! Lots of great exhibits and a few rides too. They love riding the log ride, carousel, train, and sky ride! We took a few snacks in the zoo, then for lunch we ate at a shaded picnic table out by our car. We always have a great time here!
Beautiful zoo! I love the pathways as you make your way around the different parts of the zoo.The foliage and waterways throughout makes for a peaceful feeling as you enjoy observing the animals. The animals seem happy too! Friendly staff, clean surroundings.
This is a really great zoo! One of our favorites! Plan to spend the entire day because it’s big! Very well organized! Flows from one area into the next incredibly well! Its accredited, which means the animals are their top priority, and it shows. The exhibits are well thought out, big enough for each animal, and much like they would have in their natural environment. The zoo team does a fantastic job making sure that each animal is happy and well cared for - and thriving! The hope is that maybe one day the animals on the endangered list will one day be taken off that list because of zoos like this one! And they are well on their way. They are doing incredible things between their breeding programs and raising money and awareness and all the other things they do to help ensure that these animals lives matter! One thing I really noticed about Fort Wayne’s Zoo, and I LOVED about it - is how educated and well informed each person in each habitat and exhibit was. Every place you went they were very knowledgeable about their enclosure and the animals in their care, and they educated you on them and helped get the young kids involved. They answered all your questions, encouraged you to ask more, it was very interactive and educational I was very impressed! And another thing, regardless of where we were, every employee we met was incredibly friendly and outgoing! So wonderful job there, too! We were very impressed all around! Thank you for a wonderful visit! We will be back!
Always so much fun visiting Ft.Wayne Zoo! We try to make it there at least 2-3 times a year! With Covid in 2020 we we not able to visit-so, we have some catching up to do! We finally made it there a month ago, it was not a disappointment for sure! It NEVER is! Looking forward to our next visit! Also, this year we planning a trip during the Halloween "season", we have never experienced trick or treat somewhere like that and our youngest will be I yrs old at that time-Im positive he will love it!(and so will I!!!;))

This was so much fun. It is not just for kids. Love the many different animals and how it is set up. Easy to see everything.
Went for the first time in October. I would recommend going in the warmer months, as many animals were off exhibit due to chilly weather. But the exhibits themselves are set up nicely so those in strollers or wheelchairs can actually see as well as those standing. Also, bravo for having wheelchair accessible areas on some of your rides!
One of the better children's zoos in the entire country. Can see pretty much everything in one day without too much walking for the kids or do a more intense focus on one or two areas. Very child friendly. Not to miss, the carousel and the aquarium. Would love to see them bring back zoo fries from the 90s. They were the best!
We had a wonderful time, I can't wait until the have the new areas done. We are very fortunate to have this amazing zoo right here in Fort Wayne Indiana.
Weekend
Had a wonderful time as usual! Was awesome to get to see the stingrays and pet and feed them this year. It had been 7 years since I had been and the exhibit was still being worked on back then. Food from all three restaurants was delicious. All the staff were friendly and outgoing and gave loads of information.
Very nice staff and very informative of animals. Alot of fun for children as well as adults
First time coming here. Sad the train was not operational. They sky trail was neat, just wish it was set different to be able to see more animals. Loved feeding the giraffes. Missed the stingray feeding.
Was Great
Wow! worth the trip. Visited with my wife and son. I was a little concerned that at 15 months he may not find it interesting. But he had a blast especially with the aquarium, and sea lions. Zoo was beautifully laid out with kids in mind. I left amazed that the Indonesian Rain Forest section could feel like such an adventure all while still being stroller friendly.
Very clean and organized zoo. The exhibits were big and the animals were lovely.
Love this Zoo! A lot cheaper than the Indy Zoo, and it seems much more spacious. Cool animals and even fun rides that are cheap. The family and I have a great time each time we visit.
Really great zoo with interesting exhibits. Food and drink is a bit pricey though and you have to pay tokens for many things that should be included in the entrance fee.
There are no moose here. This makes me sad. BUT my kids had fun and I guess that's all that matters. They have plenty to do to occupy little kids.
Price for adult entry
This zoo was beautiful! Paths were clean, landscaping perfect, and the animals all seemed well taken care of! The rides were safe and enjoyable! They had many options for food and drinks. The staff were all knowledgeable on the animals and all in all my family and I really enjoyed it! I highly reccomend heading here for a day!
Amazing family zoo! Been going here for years! Loving the updates!
The FW Children's Zoo is nationally recognized for a reason...it is well laid out, clean, the animals always looks happy, healthy and active. They are involved in wildlife conservation efforts around the world. The exhibits are so diverse and exciting. I have been going here since I was a kid at summer camp and it never gets old! This zoo feels like home.
My only complaint is the amount of yellow jackets at this zoo whenever we were there last year. There were so many, no one can enjoy their snacks or lunch. Hopefully they will have that fixed this year.
I love this zoo. It's always fun and it's kept clean and sanitized. All the employees are friendly and helpful. Keep up the excellent work. I plan to return again soon. Thank you.
This zoo is surprisingly nice. I have visited this location 3 or 4 times. And it is still fun to go see. One thing to note though is at the food locations Bees we're very prevalent especially near the trashcans during our visit in late August. If you have a bee allergy I'd recommend having you EpiPen or to avoid those locations. All in all this is a very fun place to visit.
Zoo is very clean well organized nice layout beautiful plants and stuff all around the entire grounds the animals you can tell her well cared for very pleasant day just Leisure walk through the shaded areas and watch all the animals
It's a great place to bring your kids of all ages and lot of activities to do you for family adventures. All the employees were very helpful and nice to be around and all the facilities were very clean.
amazing zoo! A great place to spend time with family!
So much fun! Staff is awesome, not crowded, only $15 per adult. You can touch stingrays and feed the giraffes out of the hand for like $1.
One of the neatest little zoo's we have ever been to. Great value for the price of admission, but the food is obviously expensive (but good). There were a ton of knowledgeable keepers around and everyone was eager to share info about the animals and were extremely friendly. Kind of reminded me of a mini Animal Kingdom (obviously without the Disney rides).
Great zoo... badly overpriced... good staff... great exhibits... parking scattered and chaotic
Absolutely beautiful zoo! The well established gardens are well maintained and the park is emaculat! The staff are very friendly and informative! The habitats are spacious and well done! A perfect zoo for children, the elderly and everyone in between!
Everyone please remember to eat before you go. We had a bad experience at rays grill in the Australia area and spent 30$ on food for my family and it was disgustingly cold and pre-maid The manager there wod not even give me a refund his name was alex santos. I cant believe the way he treated my problem. Bad review for you.
I love this zoo. Even on hot sunny days it’s great because there is so much shade and ways to get out of the sun. The weekends can get busy and I don’t usually recommend “Africa” on busy days because I have noticed a pattern that it seems to get backed up like a traffic jam through there, but on a less busy to slow day it’s the best! Zoo membership is also worth every penny if you have any kids 2 and older and want to go more than a couple times that year. It makes it feel less stressful knowing you don’t have to visit the whole zoo in a day in order to get your money’s worth. I have always found the staff friendly, the information educational, and the animals exciting!
Animals were awesome, zoo was clean, but website should be updated and inform people that almost everything in the zoo is closed!!!!! Didn't know until we got there and got in the zoo. Website made it seem like it was going to be a Halloween based day at the zoo full of stuff to do. Not the case

There wasn't any crazy lines to wait for any of the animals. Definitely one of the best zoos in the area
We took our 1 year old grand daughter. It was wonderful. We haven't been to the zoo in many years. We were happy to see how it has continued to grow and change to keep it very up to date and the exhibits were easy to see and be close to the animals. Our gdaughter loved the free roaming peacocks. The lines for the rides moved quickly and the visitors ALL seemed very family oriented. I didn't hear any fowl language or saw any disrespectful behavior. Such a nice experience.
Very clean, lots of animals, decent size. Aquarium was smaller than expected but overall the kids had a great time. Try the pineapple dole whip!
Yes
Not sure
BEST ZOO EVER!!!! This zoo actually puts the animals first when it comes to beautiful exhibits that allow plenty of room for the animals. There is wonderful vegetation amongst the entire property which allows for squirrels, rabbits, and other wild life and better air quality. The zoo uses real plant growth instead of cement walls and cages so the animals are in more natural environments. The price of admission is $15 for an adult ticket which is PHENOMENAL compared to $26 a person for the Indy Zoo (comparably Indy Zoo is a much LOWER QUALITY zoo too!). I LOVE the Fort Wayne Zoo so much I will always donate when I am able to (and hope others will too!) as I believe in providing quality living conditions for the animals the way they do!
This is me and my daughter's go to for a fun time! I understand it's slightly more expensive than just going to a park, but every little bit that you spend goes towards the zoo and making it better for customers and especially the animals! Attached are just a few of the pictures of our last trip.
Well it has a lot of different areas that were interesting but it was under construction. There wasn't all that great of options for food. So we just got pretzels and a drink. The food court was dirty. The people preparing food most people were playing on their phones and it was pretty busy. But there was one guy back there and he did a great job trying to get every thing out. A lot of the animals habitats seems small. The animals ... I don't know didn't seem to be all that active. We did the lift. (Which for me was scary as hell because I'm terrified of heights.) We spent about 4 hours along with visiting the gift shop where we spent about 100. The kids love their toys. They really enjoyed everything.
Wonderful zoo, great layout, friendly staff, convenient and fun layout and organization. Such a family friendly place with food and beverage stands conveniently spattered throughout. Definitely worth the membership.
We love the zoo. The animals appear well cared for and my kids love visiting each time. The membership makes it more affordable for our family of 5 to visit as well.
Wonderful zoo. It is a great price with free parking. The animals seem happy and you can even feed the giraffes.
Up to 10 min
Great zoo, lots of animals out; a baby duck was walking down the path with people at one point. They have a petting zoo and refreshments along the route. My kids had a blast and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the animals they serve.
What an amazing time at the zoo!! Great candy kids love it
This is one of our favorite zoos. They have free parking and the price of admittance isn't horrid. We literally spent the entire day there and could have spent more time. If you have kids and plan on doing rides, make sure you buy the discounted ride card at the gate. The zoo is very clean and the animals appear to be well looked after. They have several rides that are pretty good and worth doing.
Great clean zoo, not overly crowded, and great prices. Our daughter loved it.
My boyfriend & I went to the zoo for the first time today. We aren't from the area & didnt know what to expect but really enjoyed the zoo. Lots of animals and lots of other interactive things to do. We paid $30 to get in but everything else is very expensive. The parking lot is big but every spot was taken & we had to drive around until someone left. The train ride wasn't worth the money as it only goes next to the pond and you don't see any animals. A lot of the animals were sleeping and/or hard to see. We did really enjoy the Sky Lift, the Log Ride & the petting zoo. We will be back in the near future!
A wonderful zoo. It seemed as if most of the zoo was shaded. Not very expensive. Great friendly staff.

Very nice zoo. Lots of attractions and a lot of big cats.
Weekend
This is a great zoo - must visit!
This place was amazing! We live in Indy and belong to that zoo but this one was way better. So much interaction. We loved the giraffes. It was 4 adults who went and we felt like kids again. We’re coming back in a few months so our son can experience it.
The Fort Wayne children's Zoo continues to be one of the best zoos I've been too. We have a family pass that we renew every year.
Nice Zoo definitely plan on taking your time and having enough time because it's very large do you want to see it all
I loved it there!!! By far the best zoo I've been to so far. The best part was getting to pet the stingrays for FREE!!!
Wish there we're more animals. Also petting zoo for kids

Loved seeing all the animals. My niece especially enjoyed feeding the giraffe!! It is a great place to take the family!!
Tickets reasonably priced. Clean zoo. Unique variety of animals. Very large zoo. Not just for children but differently geared towards children with all the rides and games you can pay extra for to participate in.
First time going and absolutely love it! We are from Indpls and have been to that zoo many times. I have to say I think I like Ft.Wayne zoo better! My kids are 4 and 1.
This zoo is amazing! Its just the right size enough to keep your family busy but not too much to completely wear you out. The zoo is set up very nice and spacious. There is a good flow through the exhibits and the view for the children is amazing. Feeding the giraffes was a great experience for the kids. Probably the best zoo we have been for a great price.
Plain and simple one the best Zoos we have ever been too. Just come and check it out if you are in the area.
I had an amazing time taking my daughter here. So many animals. Very helpful and friendly staff. The animals were so active and alert when we went. My daughter really enjoyed the carousel and the log ride. I would really reccomend going to there on a week day if possible. The weekends there are really crowded.

Great time, the flow and layout made it easy to move throughout the zoo easily and not miss a thing. It was fun feeding the stingrays too.
Took my 2 year olds and has a great day. Saw lots of animals, went on all the rides. All the rides were a blast except the chair lift over mowed grass. Yeah, now i know. I heavily recomend this zoo for small children. There is lots to do and see. There is a lot of picnicking areas in near by Franke Park. An admission gets you in the zoo all dayso dont worry about doing lunch in the park.
Tigers exhibit was Under maintenance, the zebras put away because the wilderbeast was due to have her calf's. Train was down due to derailing last week. Prices on food are high. They have a $25 12 ride pass which is great for bigger families or if you plan on coming again. It can also be saved for next year. I suggest earlier in the day for less people but animals are more active in the evening. They have face painting for $5 right by the sky Ride. Zoo is different than it was couple years ago. Had a decent time
Always a great experience. Clean with a great selection of animals to see. I go a few times every year.
This is me and my daughter's go to for a fun time! I understand it's slightly more expensive than just going to a park, but every little bit that you spend goes towards the zoo and making it better for customers and especially the animals! Attached are just a few of the pictures of our last trip.
The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is an absolutely incredible zoo! They have a petting zoo, a sting ray exhibit where you can feel the sting rays ( the barbs have been removed), they have a giraffe exhibit where you can feed the giraffes!!! The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is a must see!!
I loved the Animals and we had a alright time. The lady at the gate was kind of straight forward and almost felt ridiculed for my father being in a mobility scooter. She proceeded to tell is that there were many places he could not go because of his limited mobility. We paid and went in anyways. After a few minutes she again chased us down and then gave us a list of places we should refrain from going so he did not "scare the animals with his scooter. " So based on my experience it is not a place for handicapped people and they could do better to Making it more inclusive for all people.
I went on a Tuesday...it was about 67 degrees and sunny and all of the animals were active. It was a great day to go!
I have made the trip to Fort Wayne to take my kids to this zoo twice. We had a great experience both times. There is a lot to see and do. I like the way the zoo is laid out in sections with a clear path to take you through each area. I like how you get to see every thing with out feeling like you're doing a lot of doubling back. There is a lot of attention to detail when it comes to the different animal habitats. Each one is unique to the animal. The staff is all friendly. Overall a great experience for both kids and adults.
This is an amazing zoo for such a small city. Of all the zoos I’ve been through in the United States this one is really unique and very entertaining..
Love the zoo, it was great. A day full of adventure. Many rest areas along the way with drinks, food, treats.
Lots of fun for the kids. We went for their Halloween event.
Price for adult entry
We always enjoy spending a day at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo when we are in town visiting family. It is friendly, well run, clean and affordable for a large family. We will continue our visits for years to come!
One of my favorite zoos! Been coming here since I was a kid!
What a wonderful zoo! Very impressive, well worth the price... beautiful grounds, amazing variety of animals.

The zoo is great and one of the best around. The food at the sandy beach area was horrible and 3 hours old. Not even eat able.
a lot bigger than i expected! beautiful animals and very friendly staff. learned a lot today! my favorite was feeding the giraffes some lettuce ☺
Our 3.5 year old grandson loved this aquarium and was so excited seeing all the fish.
Great little zoo. Animal exhibits bring the animals nice and close to the patrons. The zoo can be completed easily in three hours if not two. It is clean and well staffed with helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The zoo is almost completely handicap accessible too. The skylift wasn't working but the animals more than made up for that. Highly recommend the Ft Wayne Zoo.
Other than some of the enclosures being small, the variety is pretty great. Perfect size for a day of walking with small kids. Food options are good too! Definitely worth a visit.
Bring your own lunch and drinks unless you want to spend quite a lot on food and drink. Other then that plan on an all day trip starting early in the day. The Fort Wayne zoo is an awesome family adventure
The river otter exhibit is new and much better! As always, a great family time. Just wish the cable car ride in Africa went over the zoo instead of nothingness.
It's a nice zoo and they've added some new things since I was last there. I had a blast even though it was raining
This place is really a "family friendly" zoo! I've been to quite numbers of zoos and this is not a huge one but has every detail to enjoy as a family. Animals look happy and healthy. Rides are fun and the cost are very reasonable. It's worth to have a membership.
Weekday
This is my favorite zoo and I have been to a bunch of zoos. This one has an excellent flow and set up so you don't have to back track through exhibits to get to the next one. They are always upgrading and polishing their zoo. Their ticket prices are $14.00 which is super reasonable. Their food court food is also reasonably priced. That being said, a bottle of water or soda is $4.00 which is ridiculous. Also the price per token for rides is also way too high. Five dollars per kid to ride the ponies when you have five kids is absurd. Yes they offer ride passes but again with five kids, that gets crazy expensive. Maybe follow in the Lowery Park Zoo in Tampa, FL's footsteps and charge a bit more ticket price at the door but have all rides free once you get in. This may be something to look into. Also parking is free at the Fort Wayne zoo which is fantastic. If you get a membership card you can get into other zoos for 50% off or even free. Well worth the membership cost.
Totally gorgeous zoo. It's so pretty, you could just go there to take a walk and not even stop to look at the animals! But you should because they're so cute! I like to spend a lot of time with the orangutans. The aquarium is very cool too. Cute rides for kids and several nice food options. Dole whip, mmm! ???? Been visiting for twenty years and always look forward to going again when I'm in the area.
Nice variety for a small zoo. Geared very well as a Children's zoo.
Great place to visit especially for kids, lots of animals to see and enjoy
This is a very fun, clean, and family friendly zoo! It is very easy to see all of the animals and is enjoyable for all ages! We had a wonderful time looking at all of the fun animals. Not to mention, there were peacocks walking freely all over the zoo! Such a fun place!
Really great zoo. Very well designed and easy to navigate. My family had a lot of fun
I like the zoo, it's small. But enjoyed getting a peacock feather I found! Loved them land turtles!
Super nice! We love feeding giraffes. It takes us 2 hours to get there but it's totally worth it.
This zoo was amazing! We went on Halloween instead of trick or treating! We had alot of fun in our costumes. Many of the animals were put up due to the weather. But many were still out! Had an amazing time! They even allowed people to take home pumpkins if they wanted them. Absolutely love this zoo! Highly recommended!
Great zoo reasonable fees free parking
We had a great time even though it was waaay hot. My only issue was the employee trying to throw my bag away even tho I was standing next to it.
Beautiful zoo! Love all the grasses that have grown up and give off a great vibe! It's very well kept and lots to do! Next year I am buying a zoo pass!
Nice, clean zoo. I personally like feeding the giraffes the best
Best zoo ever! The attractions are great and the animals are well cared for. Great variety to see too!
Very large zoo for a city this size. My 14 year old daughter loved it! My favorite was getting to walk right in with the gray kangaroos with only a small rope making the devider. Also loved the lion who likes to sleep against the glass, and the tiger who kept pacing and coming by to look at my daughter (unmenacingly) as she sat at the glass.
It was great a lot of variety of animals, a aquarium, kids train, souvenirs, food and snacks a enjoyable place to visit.

Much more laid back than Indy, still plenty to do. Tons of pull-offs thru out for kids and yourself to have a seat, take breaks etc. Rainforest is my favorite. Feeding the stingrays and the log ride is a MUST! Absolutely fun, this was my 3rd time ill be coming back.
I've been going to this zoo since I was barely old enough to walk. Even as a young adult I still love coming and enjoying the habitats. Love this place, definitely recommend!
Fortwayne zoo ...Awesome Awesome..a must see, lots of fun and very affordable.
Love the layout of this zoo. No real backtracking which is great. There is a lot of shade on the paths so even of it's hot it's not too bad. Except for the train ride. Looked like it didn't have a top for the cars so we had to pass. NO MAGNETS in the store. So disappointing ???? for collectors like us.
What a fantastic time we had. The exhibits were very easy to view and the staff were super friendly. Several fun family friendly rides. Something that really stood out was how clean everything was. The zoo was very clean, and the public restrooms were some of the cleanest around. We will definitely visit again. Great day!!
LOVED IT! Not many animals but perfect for kids.. lots of Beautiful scenery.

My family and I absolutely LOVED this Zoo! We had been to the Indy Zoo more times than I could count and this Zoo completely exceed any expectations we had going in! The staff was so friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable! We’ve been to many zoos and this is by far my family & I’s new favorite place to visit! Definitely worth the 2 hr drive from Indy!
GIRAFFES! ???? We love this zoo! If you have children and are in the Fort Wayne area, this is a must. We have a year membership and have already been 5 times this summer. We still haven’t seen everything, done all the rides, or been to the …
As always, the zoo never disappoints. Really looking forward to the new exhibits.
Great laid out zoo that is filled with family fun. To me one of the best laid out zoos as far as going from one exhibit to the next. Loved all the different ride offerings, the train is fun if you like trains but is not well integrated with the zoo and no animal views. However their are views on the kid ride and it was so much fun. Also loved seeing the zoo keepers out engaging with the animals and keeping exhibits clean.
Love this place, it’s run by volunteers and donations. My son is 8 and has loved it since he was 3.
$11–15
I really do love the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, though with a somewhat minor caveat. It would be a great improvement if there weren't all those pesky little children. Running around and getting in the way. Pushing in and scaring away the animals. Screeching like banshees. In my day, children were left hanging by our thumbs in the dungeon. Perhaps that's beside the point. Okay bye.
Always a good time at the Zoo and I loved seeing all the new exhibits since the last time I was here. Kind of sad to not be able to see the giraffes, but it was a little too cool out for them. The Xoo itself wasn't too crowded and they have a ton of different options for food and rides if that's more your style!
No wait
I love going here. I have been going to this zoo my entire life and everything they have added in the past few years have been amazing. I am so glad I was able to take my Chiled there for her first ZOO experience with my mother.
Way better than Indy Zoo and no mask requirement. It's super interactive, you can do things like pet goats and walk through a typical indiana family farm setup. Membership is a great value and can be used at other zoos throughout the country.

My son loves this zoo, and I have been going since I was a baby also! There's three major themes (Africa, Australia, Indonesian Rain Forest) and lots of fun attractions like train, log ride, carousel, and a sky ride. The admission price isn't too bad. They even have Halloween fun in the fall!
I love this zoo! It's definitely worth the membership if you live in the area. We go 20+ times a year. It is only open April through October, but it's open late Memorial Day through Labor Day. The evenings are the best times as the animals are more active and it's cooler and less busy. The great thing about the Fort Wayne Zoo is that most exhibits are stroller height so you don't have to keep getting your kids out to see, like the Indy zoo. Love, love, love my zoo!
Great time with the family. Staff is friendly and helpful if needed. Great variety of animals to keep the kids in awe.
Good variety of animals and most habitats where designed to maximize viewing.
This was so much fun. It is not just for kids. Love the many different animals and how it is set up. Easy to see everything.

One of the best zoo's around. We have traveled to several zoo's this summer but have to say the best one has been right here in own town. The variety of exhibits is above and beyond. Lots of rides and plenty of food options. I might add that there's not excessive walking between exhibits. I would also like to extend a thanks to the zoo staff for retrieving my sons brand new Tincaps hat at the end of the day. This was after he so gracefully flipped it into a pond at the giraffe exhibit. Many thanks and keep up the amazing work! We will be back many many times.
We brought our granddaughter to the Children’s zoo not knowing really what to expect, we all had the time of our lives. So much to do and see on a warm summer day.
Great place to go with friends, many animals and displays, really active animals and rides going over the displays
FUN!!! Great zoo, with lots of animals! Large place with much to do. Great price, only 15 bux for adults and 11 bux for kids. Horse riding area Great for kids under 12. 6 dollars per ride for 2 laps. Boat ride not really worth 3 dollars per person. Didn't get to try other rides, but noticed they had a sky ride and a merry go round. Petting zoo was fun with goats, cows, chickens and rabbits. Food and drinks weren't outrageous like most places. Loved the red pandas. Unfortunately the giraffes were not allowed out when we went, due to weather conditions. Looking at what else there is to do here, this is probably the best bet!
Admission fees are very reasonable- our membership at our local zoo gave us an exceptional discount here! Everything is super clean and tidy. Staff members are friendly, helpful, and appear to genuinely enjoy their jobs as well as interacting with people especially the children- staff were patient, friendly, and knowledgeable and the educational materials/presentations were easily understood and presented in a way that held our children's attention. There are a lot of interesting interactive exhibits that are included in the general admission fee and those that we paid extra for were reasonably priced and worth the money. The flow of the zoo kept my family engaged the whole time which is amazing because my kiddos didn't mention electronics or video games or air conditioning the whole time lol! We have visited a lot of zoos but none of them really have the amount of or variety of animals that this zoo has. The habitats are clean and interesting and my toddlers, who were exploring the zoo from the comfort of our wagon, were able to see the animals without having to be lifted up each time. There are bathrooms and refreshment stands all over the zoo so we didn't have to go far to find one or wait in ridiculously long lines to get into them.
The Zoo is great! Always enjoy going!
Ok for couple of hours. No very good animal collection but ambience is really good
So much fun. So much to see. Just wish the prices for food and drinks were a little cheaper.
Great zoo! Lion area was closed but still a nice shady zoo. The log ride is a nice place to take a break.
Shaded easy walk through with animals not usually found in others zoos. Children and the adults loved it. Highly recommend it!
I love the Fort Wayne Zoo. It offers a variety of animals. Very clean and friendly staff.
It's big, and getting bigger every year! Great place for kids, lots of signals and always a good time for all!
My family and I visited the zoo on Sunday, August 2nd. We were excited to go because its been difficult finding "safe" activities to do as a family during this pandemic, and we were confident that with mask mandates now in place, and social distancing, this would be a safe and worry-free experience for us. Boy was I wrong. I should have known, after seeing the family before us in line allowed into the zoo without masks, or even being asked to wear them, that I should not have shelled out $40 to get in. Our entire visit was spent dodging all of the inconsiderate zoo visitors who decided to break the law and refuse to wear a mask. To make matters worse, the same arrogant and selfish people were not at all respecting social distancing either, forcing us to leave exhibits or stand there and be coughed, breathed, or spat on. I even had to walk my family thru a large of group of people, not wearing masks, laughing and talking, while blocking the entrance to one of the rides. They weren't even considerate enough to stand away from everyone else, and had no problem spewing their germs on every person walking by, including my 3 year old daughter. And none of your employees at the ride did anything about it. As a result, we felt completely unsafe, and avoided a lot of parts if the zoo as a result; Stingray Bay, the Train Ride, the Petting Zoo, the indoor aquarium, even some of the outdoor exhibits too. We spent as much money as everyone else to get in, but were unable to see all of the animals/exhibits. Completely unfair that the families who break the rules get away with it, and the families who follow the rules have to be punished for it. I am not exaggerating to estimate that at least half of the visitors to the zoo that day were not wearing masks. Putting up a sign every 50 feet is completely useless if you aren't going to do any enforcement. I never saw one zoo employee say anything to anyone about masks. Because of this, you are not only putting your people at risk, many of whom are volunteers, but also your visitors, and even some of your animals too. Its really not that hard. Make people wear masks, or make them leave. You'd be surprised how many people would mask up rather than be forced to leave the $15 they spent to get in behind. Hiring Security to enforce the mask mandate needs to be a priority. Because of this experience, my family will not be visiting again until it is safe to do so. We have visited multiple times per season in the past, but I can assure you this will be the only time this season.
Great zoo!! Love taking our little one. The aquarium is small but outstanding, along with sting ray bay.
We visited your zoo yesterday on the 4th of July. And let me say it was the worst zoo I have ever been to. We drove from out of town 3 hours away and when we arrived to the town it rained for 5 mins. No biggie right. So we checked the weather and everything cleared up. We went to pay and the lady said that they put up the lions but was bringing them back out. So we paid 60 bucks just to walk in. As we started to go through every riding thing was down. No big animals were available to see. Giraffe. Tigers, lions, every big animal was put away. When we asked about it they said they were not bringing them back out. There was nothing but blue skies, I was highly disappointed my whole family was. We drove 3 hours to see absolutely nothing. On top of already being disappointed and ruined our trip my 3 year old son who is autistic, he started in on his tantrums. Once a autistic child has a outburst its hard to stop them. Well as i was in process of doing my at most best 3 of your workers walking by was laughing at him. I felt mortified, people already stare at him like he is a problem I should not have to explain to people he has a disorder. For your employees to laugh and a 3 year old having a fit while a mother is struggling was beyond me. Like I said it was the worst experience I ever had.
Great family experience like no other! Travel all over the globe in one day. See exotic animals in habitats/enclosures that simulate the real environment. LOVE the Zoo ❤️
We love the Ft Wayne zoo! The construction was a bummer. Driving through construction all the way to get there, then walking around construction, made it less than optimal. Still a wonderful time had by all!
Our first time here!! We really enjoyed it. Love the layout and the space.
It is a nice and fun zoo however it is Very expensive. $41 for a family of 3 to walk in the door. Once inside, the typical price gouging.
Very limited animal exhibition for the empty land space area specially under the sky view area is empty and nothing to see or enjoy for children anxious to see animals and wild experience. Very poorly managed and lack of good shoe for children. It is Sad that the responsables management are not engage or vision better the opportunity to create enjoyable time for the customers (us).
Love going to the zoo with my family. My three boys always look forward to having a lot of fun at the zoo. My son’s favorite parts of the zoo are the giraffes and the stingrays. That’s the one thing he always looks forward to as soon as we set foot into the zoo. My wife and I were pleasantly pleased to see a kangaroo carrying its little one in its belly. It was quite an adorable sight to see. I do wish they had some dolphins and other exotic animals that’d be fun to see though. Someday I hope they add on some more animals to see. Overall, I think it’s still a great zoo.
Perfect little family zoo. Not too big not overwhelming. Easily walkable with plenty of animals and activities. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Have visited this zoo many times and will continue to return
Make as us you got pocket change for the kiddo because there's nothing to in the free world area if ya k ow what I mean. Nice place for an expensive River Greenway walk!!
This place was amazing for the kids! You have to make sure you keep an eye on your kids. Theirs lots of people there. There is lots of animals and it was a nice visit.
Loved this zoo! It was our first time here with two 4 year olds. It was an extremely hot day but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We really liked how “natural” the enclosures looked and weren’t just an animal in a cage. The sea lion show was really cool and appreciated small details like when sprinklers turned on before the show to wash off the dirt and dust off the viewing windows. First time I’ve seen something like that at any zoo. My kids loved feeding the giraffes. My only minor complaint that some of the walking paths are really narrow which creates a traffic jam. Would love to come back!
Wow this is such a great zoo! So glad we were able to visit with a couple of our grandbabies while we were up visiting them. They really had a wonderful time we loved watching them have so much fun! Keep up the great work Ft. Wayne Children's Zoo!
Love the zoo. Zoo membership is so worth it. Went twice and already made up for the membership money. My kids absolutely love it.
Its way better than the Potawatomi zoo in Mishawaka. The animals at Potawatomi don't have much space and they look depressed. Yall have animals and they don't look depressed. They have more space in their area. I highly recommend this zoo.
The zoo is amazing. However we felt some price shock with some of the extras. We purchased a ride pass for $25 but the ponies were not included we had to buy 6 tokens ($6) for our grandson to ride a pony, 1 token ($1) for a piece of …

Loved the experience, small zoo but it was quality!
This is one of those places where you can spend an entire day with your family. Must go place for kids. There is a lot to learn for kids with respect to animal.
Just a fun all-around zoo
Never been but heard great things about this place. It's everything they've said and more...reasonably priced, great exhibits and clean. We enjoyed spending our entire day there and still made it home within a reasonable hour.
Pretty good. There's definitely better zoos around. There were a lot of animals not out when I was there last and the ones that were out didn't move at all. Feeding the sting rays was fun
Always a great experience! We love going in the evenings after work. The temps have dropped, the animals know it's almost dinnering and they're more active. Plus, the keepers and other staff are moving around/more visible and they're full of great information. We love the keeper chats and other special animal events scheduled throughout the day. HIGHLY recommend a membership because it allows you the flexibility of visiting anytime and for any duration of time. Quick stop = letting everyone pick the animal they want to see and that's all we do that visit. Membership also gives you discounted admission into other AZA zoos like Toledo & Columbus! We love the zoo!!
This is my favorite zoo hands down. My only compliant would be the food & the gift shop is pricey. Also when you first walk in there's usually a deal for $25 to get 12 rides. It's a steal take it every area has some type of ride and if you have kids it gets very expensive. Still best to zoo around!
Great time as it always is. Been going to this Zoo for 21 years now. Have seen a lot of transformation throughout the whole place over the years. The staff is always very nice & approachable. Never pass up a chance to go.
We really enjoy the evening hours at the zoo. The zoo is less crowded and the animals seem to be more active as well!
I enjoyed everything!! The only thing I was upset about was NOT being able to c the giraffes. We DID get to touch the sting rays and that was super fun. All in all we had a blast and we would definitely do it again.
Nice zoo. Staff is friendly. My wife and I were able to walk through the wholepark in about 1.5 hours. The staff is friendly and helpful and not at all over bearing. Keep in mind depending on the time of year and day not all animals may be available for viewing due to weather and Temps. Food is of course overpriced, bring you own snacks and eat before/after going.
Its the perfect size to spend the afternoon walking around seeing the animals. There is a great variety of things to see. Unfortunately because of covid some of the kids hands on things are closed but, you can still pet the sting rays! (Train ride has a bit longer wait times too, as they dont fill it up, to help social distance people) overall its a great family (or date spot) to go too!
It is a wonderful place. To see all the different animals the African belt loop is one of my favorites it is a 1 mile walk. Around it. The Hyenas the Lion, deer looking animals. I could walk it everyday and see something new. The online videos they do are amazing. I'm going to hopefully walk the. Rainforest part today. Sky safari ride is great. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly boy I would love to be an animal care taker. Boat ride and Train epic rides. And feeding of goats and giraffes are cool too. So much to do its hard to see all in one day. Check out the air conditioning gift shop on way out. There hard rock candy is amazing. 15 for adults 12 for seniors or 10 for kids price is great . best zoo in Indiana I believe and 3rd favorites I've been too yall should go
Take my daughter here all the time. We always have a blast and love seeing all the animals.
This children's zoo is a great spot for a day out, for basically anyone! My favorite part is the Wallaby Walk. There are so many interactive experiences and learning opportunities, as well as a couple of cute rides. They have good snacks and food for sale. The grounds are a very manageable size; there's so much to see but kids won't get too terribly exhausted trying to get to every part of the zoo.
I haven’t been here in a long time and decided it was time for a short road trip to Fort Wayne. We Visited today(July 3) and this place was amazing. Seen a lot of cool animals, fed a giraffe, touched a sting ray, the orangutans were swinging on the ropes wildly, the sea lions were putting on a show, the lion was sleeping next to the viewing window and everything in between was awesome. I’m 42 and felt like a kid at times, lol. They also have the oldest giraffe in the USA with it being 32 years old. Staff was really friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. The place is also clean and very well maintained.
Ive been to many zoos and fort wayne has one of the best! So much fun. My 2 year old loves feeding the giraffes and watching the monkeys. Can spend the whole day here and not see everything. Annual membership holder for life!
It didnt have some of the animals you would think of when you hear zoo. (IE polar bears, elephants, etc) It def made up for it with how close you could get to them. Would definitely go again (some of the animals couldnt be outside yet)
What a great family oriented zoo! It's so easy to get around. What I was most impressed by were the family areas for mothers or families to relax and get out of the sun for a few minutes. This was my first time here but not my family's. Would encourage anyone with kids to check it out.
$11–15
Great zoo. All things considered!!!
Had a great time with the grand kids
Loads of fun and tons to see! We got there a little after 9:00am when they open, on a Saturday. A very friendly greeter directed us to the members line. We had already purchased the family pass for $149, so the wait was short...just showed our membership card with driver’s license checked for my husband and I. The zoo wasn’t crowded, and it was unseasonable cool weather for a late-May morning. Most of the exhibits were open and the animals were visible in their respective areas. The employees were friendly and several were available for questions. We could have easily spent 3+ hours, but at the 2 hour mark, it became rather crowded. We will definitely visit again, and start with the Australia exhibit since we had to skip it. Restrooms were plentiful. They were clean and well-stocked. There were designated quiet areas to sit at, that were shaded and comfortable. At least one was covered, and clearly designated for nursing mothers (which is awesome!).
Great Zoo! We have been to several zoos over the years and this is one of our favorites. Better than most large city zoos. Very clean and we'll landscaped. We especially enjoyed the Africa trail as animals are very close, lions are …
So child friendly that it's literally mind blowing. Love taking my kids here. From the interactive lessons to the good food. It's a great place. Can be pricey but what zoo isn't.
Very nice zoo. We saw many kinds of animals and the zoo was clean and well cared for. We visited in April and some of the animals weren't out yet, but not too many. It was well worth the stop!
Love this zoo... my special needs child had an easy walk around the zoo. But most of all got to feed the giraffes and ne up close to the kangaroos. She loved more the sting ray exhibit were she got to interact with them. Thank u for the marvelous experience you gave my daughter.
A bit pricey if you buy anything inside of the zoo, otherwise, worth it! Many different species of animals!
We loved our trip to the Zoo and so did our toddler! The petting zoo had such friendly staff that really knew the animals and their personalities. The goats were quite rambunctious when we arrived - the early morning is a great time to see the animals because they're up and about, getting ready to have breakfast and greet the day. From the pelicans to the penguins to the giraffes - we truly enjoyed every exhibit!
Great place to take the kids! It's definitely worth purchasing a season pass if you plan on visiting more than once in a season. The pass also gets you admission into other zoos nationally. There are many extras for zoo members to take advantage of and the pass is good for an entire year! My kids love visiting here and getting transported to Africa, Indonesia, Australia, and a farm!
Nice size zoo! I loved thr mums and brilliant floral foliage and plants! Also the natural paths along Africa were very peaceful. Animal enclosures were clean and easy to view animals. The rides were fun and although most didn't go by a lot of animals were relaxing and fun to ride!
Honestly, this Zoo is amazing and I’m an adult, it says children’s zoo but this is tons of fun for all ages. I love riding the River Ride and the Sky Lift, very fun. All of the animals seem very very very good care provided to them. I had interactions with maybe 20 park employees the other day and everybody seemed so eager to offer any info on anything they could, a lot of the employees seemed pretty passionate about their job and that makes it more enjoyable for everybody. It’s a little rough if it’s hot outside, but I recommend going if theirs a slight rain in the forecast, less people, more time to look at animals without getting moved along by the crowd. It gets pretty busy on the weekend but it’s still great fun for everybody. I went 8-26-21 and there was a Wildebeest that was just born the night before the morning we went.
This is a great way to spend the day with your family. The kids will have a great time looking at all the animals, going on the train and going to the petting zoo. The aquarium is really neat. You can pet the sting rays.
Very well laid out. Easy to access everything in a fluent pattern. Friendly staff and very clean. Would recommend this zoo. Takes about 3 hours to see everything and ride all the rides. We were in no rush.
Family Reunion haven't ever remembered ever having one long over do and a great place to have one. Pavilion to was clean for the most part just normal ware and tare but all else a1 they have elecric for anyone needing to know!!! Recommend!!!
I took my grade school-aged niece and nephew here this weekend. We had a great time! The zoo is very clean and well-maintained. Zoo employees were friendly and knowledgeable. Lots to see and do here, we definitely could have spent more time if we'd planned for it. I highly recommend for families! Bring your camera!

Incredible! Where else can you feed a giraffe. The staff was extremely friendly. You could see the animals perfectly. Lots of fun things to do with your family. Park was clean. We will be back!
Alot of fun 4 the kids bring lots of cash 4 the rides
Love the Fort Wayne Zoo Go early on hot days when the animals are most active They have the oldest giraffe in the United States and she's beautiful ????
From start to finish the Fort Wayne zoo is amazing to me truly enjoy our experiences that my children have a great time my nieces have a great time we love the atmosphere is always clean as always fun and always a positive vibe a truly enjoy it was so much fun
This is a delightful place to spend a day with kids or grandkids. There is plenty of shade if you need it, and where there are ramps, the climb is easy. Admission is reasonable, though snacks are a little pricey.
Love the zoo! All the new rennovations are amazing and the annual pass that can be used at other zoos is a great bargain. The front gates close at 5 but you can visit until 6.
Had a great time everytime we go to the zoo
Very fun time, the staff always strive to make it a fun experience, a little expensive but I can tell they put the money back into the zoo. I wouldn't recommend the grill food it is very expensive for not so good food.
While not the greatest zoo on earth, it's a pretty great one. Lots of animals to see, with lots of well kept areas. Be warned, Friday-Monday heavy foot traffic, especially in the summer when school is out.
New improvements were made since the last time I had been there, most of the animals were out, zookeepers were friendly
Had fun with the kids n watched the sea lions get fed. Zoo was pretty clean and staff was friendly.
Great place for family fun and Pokémon go! Lol
The family really enjoyed the zoo. You can feed the giraffes, and farm animals!
Most under-rated Zoo. Unbelievable amount of Love from the Staff, You can tell they Genuinely Love their Job. Teams for Nature program Had alot going on but you could tell they Have the most Respect for Nature
Love this place. They keep improving exhibits every year. Do miss the snow leopards , cheetahs belt ride and all the huge aviaries. Really really miss the aviaries. Also miss the gazebos over the water in the main part and African exhibits. Was a nice place to eat a picnic lunch. But the new stuff is pretty awesome too. My kids love it.
I seen alot of different things then from Florida plus I see goats, red pandas, pecocks and a little peacock
Fun place to enjoy with family members of all ages.very affordable and a great variety of activities face painting, learning stations, rides, food and animal interactions.
The lady in the office is completely rude! Definitely not coming back. They lied to us stating the trains were up and running, they are NOT. Most of the animals are not out and "locked up".
I was very surprised with the size of this place, was an incredible experience! Very clean and organized, there you can meet many animals of worldwide.
The kangaroo exhibit is incredible: you get to walk into the enclosure with them, and they hop around and say hello. Also, I don't know why it's called a 'children' zoo. It's a legit zoo and the name threw me off. I would have gone a year ago if I had known. I went as part of a corporate outing and had a blast. I highly recommend.
No wait
Very fun to to go. Plenty of animals to see and look at. Plenty of areas to rest and enjoy the view. Not all the places and little food places were open due to covid but really didn't stop the experience at all. Still just as fun. Place was clean and no issues with lines. Second time we've been there and both as been about the same. Fun times.
A treasure in our little corner of the world! Go and go often! There is always something new to discover.
Great zoo experience. Kids loved it. Food is a bit overpriced, but that's to be expected.
I have been going to this zoo since I was a child. It has grown throughout the years and been updated. Fantastic exhibits and always a great time.
My 4 year old lives this zoo. It's a great place to check out. Well put together. Great layout
Pretty great zoo with plenty to see and 2-4 hours of fun. Giraffes abound. If you’re lucky you can feed them / get really close.
Its amazing fun for kids and adults. I had so much fun. But the gift shop is kinda high. There is 4 rides pony, skylift, train, and water logs. Sky lifts was fun but is high and does not go over the park so. Also the park comes alive at 5! So have fun and beware of lions, tigers, bears, and oh my!
This is an amazing zoo for kids and family’s. The animals look very healthy and the staff was very friendly
Its ok if you have smaller kids that dont like to walk much. Its a decent size but has half the animals of a "normal" zoo. Not many monkeys, no gorillas or chimps. Like I said its ok.
Never again! We paid for 4 tickets to come back in April my kids were told to wear a mask even though they were not required! We were told to leave so we did so I called and explained the situation was told we would have tickets at the gate we went back and they were nowhere to be found called again today spoke to a manager and was told nothing will be done about it we will never go back!
We went the day before the last day of the season. It was busy but not any more than normal. My only real complaint is the gift shop. I get it needing the money to keep the zoo running. However.... $20 for an umbrella or $12 for cooking utensils is ridiculous! You already charge crazy prices for entry. The prices in the gift shop do NOT need to be that astronomical!
Spacious, well kept zoo. You will absolutely enjoy your visit and it's not just for kids. Enjoy God's creation in a fun environment????
I was some what impressed but at the same time wasn't. There weren't as many animals as I thought there would be but I do have to say, the rides were really cool. I had a lot of fun and I learned a whole bunch. ????
We always love going to this zoo for the many excursions including our annual family Fantasy of Lights! Its a family tradition that we NEVER MISS!!
We love going to the zoo as a family. We enjoy walking around and it's a pretty relaxing place.
Always a wonderful experience.
I'm pretty sure the chipmunks run the ft Wayne zoo and I'm not mad about it.
This is just the perfect place to take children for a short zoo trip. It's small, which is just right for little humans that have the attention span of a golden retriever. There are so many exhibits to see, and the giraffe feeding station is a unique thing I haven't seen before. As expected, food prices are a bit jacked up, but it shouldn't take you more than a few hours to get through the place and go eat somewhere else. The staff here were really friendly. There was an older lady with a toad that told us all sorts of cool things about that toad.
great little zoo! Went for Halloween parade
One of my favourite zoo's. Atmosphere is excellent and the animals all seem happy. Plus there are a few animals that can free roam. I got yelled at by a peacock last time I went, it was great.
Awsome place to spend the day regardless of age or group size. The staff is very informative and always willing to help. A lot of cool things to see but not so much your not overwhelmed. Cant wait to go back.
We has so much fun at the zoo. Our family came up from Indy and we all went. It was a beautiful day to be there! Most of the animals where out and we did see some zoo keepers feeding the animals and that was so much fun. My youngest niece was so happy to be there and she don't like going very much. She rode all rides and went on the went on the horses as well.
Wonderful place for all ages! Definitely recommend a membership for families so you can visit frequently each year. Spend an hour or all day here.
The rides make it a little more unique and fun, especially for the kids and kids at heart. Feeding the giraffe was a nice highlight. It's very expensive to do all the attractions though - plan to spend more inside the zoo than you do for admission.
Always a fun time at the ft wayne zoo. Got to see lots of the animals up close since we went early!
Impeccably clean, very busy, but didn't wait long for any rides. Delicious Dole Whip Float!
Best zoo I've ever visited of this size, even beats out some zoos 6X its size. Clean, beautiful, great exhibits, always growing and improving. I think everyone should enjoy a yearly season pass to support, enjoy multiple visits and benefits, and its most economical if utilized. Highly recomend, been coming here for many decades and never disappointed.
Zoo was awesome! Food was bad French fries were hard and tasted like burnt grease! Pops cost $4.98 outrageous food and drink prices!

Great place to take the kid's they absolutely loved it and are always asking to go back. The girls loved feeding the giraffes. They offer tons of amenities other local zoos don't have. Also they give you 50% discount if you have a membership at another zoo which was very nice. I highly recommend taking your kids here
A wonderful zoo. It seemed as if most of the zoo was shaded. Not very expensive. Great friendly staff.
This place is always super cool to visit wether your taking kids obviously but it is for adults too.
It's a very nice place to take your kid friendly atmosphere.
Great zoo to take kids to! Lots of animals that are well taken care of. Lots of things to do to keep the kids occupied and hold their attention.
We had a wonderful day ! The place was spotless. Very friendly and knowledgeable zookeeper that were placed around the zoo to share facts about the animals. Loved feeding the giraffes, watching the sea lions show and seeing the kangaroos up close and the peaceful canoe ride and the salty pretzels...loved it all. ❤
What's not to love, great landscaping, beautiful grounds, friendly staff, very clean restrooms , lots of great animals and exhibits. Ranked as one of the Top Children's Zoos in the country. Worth the drive to spend a day. Been going to this zoo for 60 years!! It gets better every year! Don't miss it!!!
This Zoo is one of my favorites to visit. We do not have kids but still enjoy walking around and seeing all the animals. For the full Zoo experience buy the tokens and feed the giraffe, ride the Sky Safari, ride the train and take the Crocodile Log Ride. There is plenty to see and do that will fill a whole day.
One of the better zoos I've been to. (Comparing to Detroit and Toledo zoos) The layout is fantastic and it's quite interactive for the kids.
Best Zoo in Indiana. Plenty of places to sit in the shade. Reasonably priced rides. Absolutely worth the visit!
We love this zoo. It's easy to get to and has plenty of parking space. The parking is free, which is very nice compared to Indianapolis. We have a yearly membership and it's very affordable ($129 for a family). Single day tickets range from $10-$15. There are add on activities to purchase tokens for once inside the zoo, the most expensive one being the pony ride ($6 per person). You are able to take in outside food and drinks, so just pack a picnic and enjoy the scenery!
Did the Festival of Lights last evening 5K. A good time and benefits a great organization Blue Jacket.
Great Zoo! Took my Niece and Nephew on my first visit to FW Zoo. Easy to get around, you can get up close to many of the animals. Of course since my wife loves Giraffes we had to feed one.
This is a nice zoo. It's well organized with 3 large loops that break up the walking an viewing into Africa, Indonesia and Australia. The loops are one way, I think it really helps keeps it less crowded. There's lots of green space with little quiet spots for sitting... Or letting the little ones calm down and relax. There's also exhibits around the center area with a farm exhibit and petting zoo on the way out.
It isn't Cincinnati, San Diego, or any other large zoo, but it is DEFINITELY as good...for a small zoo. The zoo is laid out nicely, well maintained, nice amenities, and plenty of activities for children to understand each animal better.

I love animals!!! And had a great time at the zoo!! A must if you are visiting the Fort Wayne Area????????????
My children always enjoy our trips to the zoo. We don't use our membership enough.
I've always enjoyed visiting the zoo. Ever nice I was a kid.
It's was awesome. Amazing animals. So well taken care of. The staff was informative and positive. Areas around the park were well cleaned and maintained. Was a bit crowded but to be expected on a Friday. Well worth the trip.
We had such a great time here. My son loved it!!
Walked around it with my hubby and 2 son's for 3.5 hours. We had a blast and met new people
The zoo is great! I’m sure everyone here in ft wayne already knows that! They have a lot of different animals! If you get a chance, take your kids there, you will all have a great time!
$11–15
Always a fun adventure and learning experience! The updates at the Children’s Zoo are great! We love each visit! We have a season pass, so we keep the trips shorter and focus on one area per visit, sometimes two. Focusing on one area allows us to take our time and learn more about the animals and area they come from without overwhelming our children. Thank you again for keeping the Children’s Zoo the fixture of Fort Wayne!
Always love going to the zoo. And my kids love it! Definitely recommend this zoo to anyone who comes to Fort wayne. Hands down one of my favorite zoo's.

This zoo was SO cool! My kids had an amazing time and could have spent the whole day there!

Pretty fun place. Rides are extra and so is feeding animals. The sting ray touching was pretty awesome. So it was worth the drive to get there. But if you want to fully enjoy everything without rushing early. We'll visit again this summer hopefully(:
Fort Wayne is crazy proud of its zoo for great reason! The facilities are second to none and the animals are diverse and well cared for in as close to nature as any zoo can offer. Not just the displays but the entire experience is top shelf and also a GREAT VALUE! You can spend extra money if you do the rides and eat but still not a rip off. Take your family or your date for a well spent 2-3 hours.
This was my first time visiting this zoo and I was surprised at how sprawling it is. They have multiple different "regions" which are landscaped and designed very well to make you feel like you've been transported to another continent. They have lots of different animals, and even some interactive feeding experiences with animals like giraffes and stingrays. They do a good job of having employees at a lot of the exhibits discussing the animals. They also have a few rides to check out around the zoo, including a ski lift type ride and a water log ride. Overall this is a great zoo and absolutely worth dedicating a day to.
We had a great day at the zoo. Changes since I was last there. Seeing the zoo with my 2 1/2 great niece was so much fun. She loved all the animals, the goats were her favorite. She's brushed every goat at least twice. Loved feeding them. She didn't want to leave, but the adults were tired after 3 1/2 hours. Food & drinks were expensive. $15 for 4 bottles of water.
Great place for kids. As an adult it was a lot of walking. I loved the Australian adventure reef building best. They have an amazing reef tank with full grown fish. They also have lion fish, black tipped reef sharks and a full grown grouper. Over all it was a great day. Be prepared to pay a little extra for food and rides( they cost anywhere from $3-$6). We went around 1:30pm and you could feed the giraffes that cost $1-$6 depending on how much food you wanted. It was really hot today so a lot of the animals were sleeping in the shade making it hard to see them but I'm sure cooler weather would have them more active.
What a fun day! I went with my husband and we seriously had such a blast! It was a very big zoo with so much ground for us to cover. Definitely worth the $15 a person! I definitely suggest bringing your own food because the food there is kind of expensive. The staff was very helpful and informative about all of the animals. I like this zoo because you get to get closer to all of the animals and there aren't so many cages.
Went for the Zoo Halloween a few days ago. It is always so nice how they decorate the place up with all the different pumpkins. There usually isn't a lot of animals out at this time of the year but it is still a whole lot of fun to go and see everything else.
This is such a great zoo. I've enjoyed visiting this zoo for 40 years and look forward to it everytime. Just 2 ideas for the zoo, 1st. Have the train travel through the different countries and 2nd open a year round restaurant
We had a blast! Great for a nice date night. But we brought the kids. Even the teen had fun. They have fresh, and I mean fresh, fruit and cheese cubes and other normal fare. Lots of super cute animals and people to help explain all about them to whomever asks. We rented a wagon. Worth it. We are heading back there next week.
We always have a great time here. The layout is so nice. The kids can walk the path and the whole family does not get lost. We where able to see many animals out and about today. My kids loved feeding the giraffe. The zoo was very clean and employees where very helpful. If you are looking for an activity the whole family will enjoy this is it. Looking forward to our next trip.
The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is THE BEST zoo around!! The layout is wonderful, the staff/volunteers are very friendly, and everywhere you look is a beautiful backdrop for a picture. We can’t imagine spending our summers anywhere else!
5 stars: entertainment, set up, stroller friendly, fantastic staff 3 stars: zoological education (really gave very little info about animal speciation or conservation efforts) & food (overpriced & stale but at least quick & still totally edible) We had a great time!
The fort Wayne Zoo was a very nice place. I enjoyed my day there with my son and two daughters. They have a great variety of animals. Great food and at decent prices. My favorite exhibit was the giraffes area. although I did love them seeing the Lions the monkeys were awesome too.All of the animals seemed well taken care of and has a happy as can be. I'm definitely going to have to visit there again I hadn't been in a very very long time. My son and daughters loved the river ride although I loved the sky safari a lot more. Parking was easy close and convient. I definitely recommend this Zoo to anyone wanting to have a great adventure outdoors with the family. The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is a place to visit.
Morning timed tickets are great! Fewer people, I am often first on the rides, you can get in a 5 mile walk and hardly see anyone else. It's great if you are concerned about germs etc. Everything freshly sanitized. Animals more active, cooler temps, more time to ask the zookeepers questions. Peaceful and relaxing yet interesting at the same time. I Love it! BUT, it's costing the zoo a lot of revenue, so support the zoo, get a membership, spend money there and support them!!!
This zoo is one of the most fun and exciting zoos I've been to. So much to see and do. Lots of ground to cover for those over excited kids. It also brings a little fun with their canoe ride and ski lift, plus a whole lot more. Definitely worth the money.
It's a large zoo with a whole day of experiences. You can spend the whole day or at minimum half a day to see it all. Zoo is very clean, pricing is a little expensive but it goes towards the cause of up keep which is needed. Well worth your money spent. You are better off to buy a family membership than pay for one day. It doesn't cost that much more. Then you can go unlimited times. They have a sky tram, water log ride, train, can pet the sting ray, feed giraffes, carroselle, and much more. Very kid and wheel chair friendly, zoo accommodates everyone. When family comes to town, they always tell me how impressive and nice this zoo is and others don't compare to the ones they have near them. Be grateful we live near a great zoo!

A pleasant day with the family. Not overly crowded. Be cautious when visiting I late August/early September. The bee exhibit seems to take over the park this time of year.
It was an excellent visit to the zoo. I ran out of time trying to look at everything
The Fort Wayne Zoo is awesome! Children absolutely love it & adults love it just as much. My favorite thing is the Stingray Exhibit & getting to Pet them! The petting zoo area is pretty awesome too! Overall a great experience!
We loved this zoo! It’s not huge, but the size was very manageable for us with 4 and 2 year olds. We were there on a really hot day, and appreciated that there was plenty of shade on the walking paths. Some of the activities cost extra—my kids liked feeding the giraffes and riding the train, and want to try the toboggan ride next time! The staging is very well thought out...it reminded me of a Disney park in how detailed some of the exhibits were. We’ll definitely be back, and will consider getting an annual pass!
Absolutely love this zoo! So much to see and the staff are very friendly. If you get a chance, try thr Penguin Encounter!
Love this place! Nice, clean, and great animals to see. They have a punch card for rides and it's wonderful.
Absolute great place to spend the day with the family.
So clean and spread out! Even with big crowds we were able to see and do everything. This zoo is very interactive compared to other zoos.
Amazing zoo with tons of animals and interactive experiences. The grounds were well kept and clean.
Definitely a wonder and beautiful zoo. Our first time going. Love that you can interact with the giraffes. The sky lift was very relaxing.
So much fun! There is so much to see here and great rides for the kids (and adults). Lots of interactive things to do like feeding giraffes and riding ponies. Love it here!
This is not as impressive as Toledo or Chicago, but for the area this is an amazing place to spend an afternoon. It's broken into 3 main sections, and there are a few subdivisions of those. Great for kids and adults.
Beautifully done Gardens. Very user-friendly. Great for the kids. I highly recommend feeding the giraffes. They also feature for sensory impaired people quiet areas all along the entire zoo!
Great zoo, had a good time. Not really my thing but the enjoyment my 3 yr old niece got out of it made it worth while.
The zoo has gone way down hill in recent years. It's still an ok choice and a decent place to take the young kids, but overall I found it unimpressive and a lot (even most) of the employees were unprofessional and even ride at times. Overpriced for what you get anymore.

I love our small but nice zoo I really wish the African skyway has a better view other than a parking lot
A top notch zoo. My kids enjoy going every year and we always buy the annual pass. Always trying to improve here, which is what I like. Halloween event is great for a cheap price. Kids loved it. I highly recommend anyone check it out.
I love it here, there so many animals and I love how close you can get to them, there loads of space, it a nice little journey, the rain forest was kinda freaky only cause I thought an animal would come out of nowhere it didn't
I have always loved going to the zoo as a child, and even now as an adult. I took my son for the first time the other day and they've made so many changes, but nothing has changed. It's still an AMAZING time! You can find yourself petting stingrays, feeding and brushing goats, riding ponies, and so much more!
This place was amazing! We live in Indy and belong to that zoo but this one was way better. So much interaction. We loved the giraffes. It was 4 adults who went and we felt like kids again. We’re coming back in a few months so our son can experience it.

Loved it for the kids was a lot for them to do they had train rides and a few animals that didnt mind popping out every now and then to show them selves was really hot food and really nice workers
Great day, beautiful weather. It was cool enough outside that the animals were out and active. Not too crowded this trip, but the zoo definitely a decent turn out. We did pony ride, train, and boat rides. Can't wait to return again.
This is an amazing zoo. Single visit prices have increased recently. It you live in Fort Wayne or surrounding areas I would strongly recommend a zoo membership, so you can visit numerous times in a calendar year for a low price. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They usually have volunteers stationed around the zoo with fun facts about the animals.
We always enjoy zoo, should have gotten family pass.
This zoo is amazing! The animals are great and the employees are really knowledgeable about them. There’s always something for the kids to do and the animal interactions are the absolute coolest! There’s always a spot for shade and some pretty good food. The only zoo that I’ve been to that really is fun!
Very nice zoo, lots of parking, well kept areas, limited food in the morning. Lots of animals. Some of the trails are sloped and require a little more push to get wheel chair up, but path is wide enough to pass on.
This is a great place to visit. There is a lot of things you can learn at this place about the animals around the world. The animals seem to be well taken care of and almost like they are happy to be there. Also this park is maintained very well. I have been visiting for over 35 years and it has been a great experience for me when I was a child.Thats why I have brought my children over 20 times in 5 years. Whether you have children or not you will not be disappointed in your visit. Don't just take my word for stop in and see what I am hyped up about!!!!!!

We have been members at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo for the past few years. It is one of our favorite summer activities to do with our kids! Our kids love seeing all the animals, but they're absolute favorite thing to do is the pony ride! We visit the ponies every time we come - I remember the pony ride from when I was a kid, so it's so cool to see my kids enjoy it too!
Really enjoy the layout. My favorite is the sea lion's and the Zoo train is a must. Like any other Zoo very overpriced not worth the money food.
Weekend
Pretty let down by this year's Halloween experience. Got the kids all dressed up and excited for their trick or treat type stuff and...there were candy stations at theain entrance and a couple in the safari area. So this year, it's basically the zoo with decorations.
Went in for Christmas, just amazing time. So fun and the lady helpers are just angels
Beautiful zoo with many hands on opportunities for kids! They have four rides, and pony rides as well. Feeding the giraffes is always an awesome encounter!
I have been here several times and absolutely love this little zoo USUALLY... BUT today my family & i went and only maybe half of animals were out and able to see. a worker said it was because of COVID they could only have a few at a time out and only for a short time... BULL ... so if you are only going to have half the animals maybe you should only charge half the price.. We took my son's fiance and it was her fist time ever being there and it was THE MOST DISAPPOINTING trip EVER .... Also rides were all down...
When my children were young we came here nearly every weekend. What a joy to bring our grandchildren now! A wonderful time by all at this still lovely zoo!
Up until today we use to love coming here. However we showed up and it started to rain after about 20-30 minuets and as we are walking around we notice most of the animals are not out. We asked where they were and were told they put them up for their safety. I do understand them protecting their animals however when we are told that the animals have been up since before I got there by a employee it is upsetting that they do not inform you at the gate when you paying $50 to get it. Had they informed us we would have came back another day. When the zoo was contacted about this issue and I told them they should update their policies to inform their guests they instead proceed to tell me that many others would disagree with me and still pay to come not to see the major animals such as the lions, tigers, hyenas, giraffes, kangaroos, goats and so on and the pony rides as well as other rides were not in use either. Needless to say the way they do not care about informing their customers or even the way reply with saying basically they do not care about my opinion shows how much their customers truly mean to them. All they really care about is your money.
It was a wonderful time and was able to see everything in a couple hours. I had to borrow a wheelchair but the brakes didn't hold on certain spots that had an incline. We did wish Dippin dots was there though
What a fun zoo. So many animals to see, (I only posted a few pics not to ruin the fun). There’s a lift ride you can take that was relaxing, a water/log ride super fun. Places to eat,
$16–20
I was pleasantly surprised how nice this zoo is. Great variety of animals. Very clean w nice amenities. The boys loved their visit especially petting the rays and the log ride. I wouldn't wait long for the train ride though. It was a nice lil quick trip but it'd be nice if it looked around some of the animal enclosures. All in all a great first visit.
This is a delightful place to spend a day with kids or grandkids. There is plenty of shade if you need it, and where there are ramps, the climb is easy. Admission is reasonable, though snacks are a little pricey.
Loved it!! Food and drinks are alittle expensive but it was a great day.
Not sure
I've been to at least 25 zoos over the years and the Ft Wayne children's zoo is as good as the big ones for half the money and without needing to travel. What a local gem! Well maintained and regularly improved.
Such a great zoo!! We always have a great time. So many animals, so much variety. Beautiful plantings and atmosphere as you're traveling between exhibits.
This zoo really is great for the children. Well maintained grounds and displays. Plenty of animals in really nice settings. A great day for a family visit!
Granddaughters had a wonderful time! Wish the weather was cooler several animals were not seen because of the heat. Hope they get the train running again.

Very friendly, kids loved see all the animals, great place to take the family.
Great Zoo. Very well-kept. Our 5 kids ages 6 on down to 9 months old had a wonderful time. There's so many animals to see and even fun rides like the carousel, log ride and train! You can see many of these animals close up or in a very large area that mimics their habits. Very impressed
Went last week with my kids. Saf how the zoo has been let go. The nice little pond in the middle needs cleaned. Definitely not how i remembered it
Really great zoo. Make sure you see the giraffe feeding.
Wonderful place to spend a day watching the animals. You are never too old to enjoy a Zoo! Don't let the name fool you. It isn't only for the kids. It is family friendly and great for animal or people watching.
This is one of my favorite zoos that I have ever been to. It is very clean and there are a lot of animals. They used to have Jeeps that would take you on a track around the Safari but they have those no more. They were a lot of fun. They have a skylift that only takes you over weeds instead of over the animals and they have a log ride that doesn't really go past any animals either. But it is my favorite place of all zoos I've been to. Very interactive things for the children to do.
Great place to take the grandkids. Staff is nice and truck ride was good
One of the best zoo's around.
Good time, fun for whole family! Would have been 5 stars but tables and chairs at eating places weren't very clean. Very important these days.... otherwise great place!!
Unique zoo experiences! We loved our visit. Rode the ski lift, train, log ride, fed and pet sting rays. Love the theming and lots of shade to cool off.
Always a great place to go with the family. We get a yearly pass so that we can go whenever we want spend a few hours and enjoy it. It's honestly the best deal if you have a family. Because you can visit it once and almost spend the price you would pay for a family membership. There has been some new changes at the zoo and we love them. It's really becoming a modern zoo with excellent experiences.
$6–10
I'm a volunteer here and all the staff (keepers and directors alike) are so nice and welcoming. The entire zoo has a warm welcoming environment that makes my day whenever i visit. This is honestly my favorite place in town.
So much to see. We stayed for almost 5 hours. Our kids had a blast!
This is a Fort Wayne gem! A great place to spend a day. Good , clean family fun!
Great zoo, lots to see and do. Not like many other zoos where you have to walk for seemingly miles between exhibits. But that doesn't mean that the animals are cramped either, the zoo is just very well laid out. Very affordable as well. It is cheap enough that as a family of 5 we could easily do rides also without breaking the bank. I highly recommend visiting.
This is a very nice zoo. Exceeded my expectations. Will definitely visit again. I had just as much fun as the children.
I don't like the improvements. Seems to me that we did more walking and saw less animals. I wish the didn't take out the zoo cars.
Absolutely amazing zoo! The remodel created a more open and larger loop to walk around. This is a must see for any Fort Wayne family or visitor. If you're a resident of the city I definitely suggest getting the season pass, one or two family visits and it has easily paid for itself.
The zoo is great and a wonderful place to take the kids. The exhibits are nicely done and they have zoo staff near some exhibits that are knowledgeable for visitors' questions. On my last visit they had some added surprises in various areas that caused the animals to be more active. It's the first time I've seen the hyenas actually do something other than sleep. Beware that on busy days, the line at the front gate is long and very slow. All said, it's one of the better zoos in layout, variety and overall quality.
It's a great smaller zoo, but much more than I expected for being a smaller zoo. We loved the stingray, and seal and sea lion area. It was so much fun, and just big enough for a good afternoon. Ita a children's zoo, but just hubby and I went since we were in town.
This is a really neat place. There are so many amazing animals and experiences to be had. I only wish we could buy the exact tokens needed for rides.
Best part was feeding the giraffes! Train ride wasn't really worth it. It was an 11 minute ride but you dont see any animals. This is a must visit zoo
One of the absolute best zoos I've ever visited. all of the exhibits are their own while also being seamlessly integrated into a larger Park environment, parking is free and plentiful, and every area was clean and free of smells. This is a great zoo!
Our family had a great time. Lots of attractions, fun activities for kids of all ages, and loved being able to get a 50% off discount for being a member of the Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend.
Been going here 40 years not a while lot has changed except a few major and minor things. Still fun and exciting after all these years
I love this zoo! It's very well laid out and fun for all ages
Awesome place to visit. Took my son and he loved seeing everything. It will take you most of the day to see everything but its well worth the visit. If I had any complaint it would be that they have a problem with swarms of wasps around trash cans and food areas but otherwise everything else is top notch.
Absolutely love the zoo! They added a few new updated exhibits which are absolutely spacious to the animals! The workers are Beyond nice and it's such a fantastic experience every single time we go!
One of the best local family-oriented zoos! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the animals and I learn something new every time I go there! It has a few rides, a bunch of different animals, and an extensive park for people to spend the day! A great place for walkers, too! Get in those steps!
Better than any zoo around!
Lots of fun. Always a good time when I go there.
Sad. Best part was the stingrays and aquarium. The wildebeest had the biggest enclosure. All the animals had small environments. A lot of them looked really sad. They said they're just shy. The splash area looked like a small leak on the sidewalk.
Really nice zoo. Good selection of animals, reasonable admission rates. Parking a short walk to the front of the zoo. Friendly staff everywhere who were eager to answer questions and seemed to love their jobs and the animals.
An awesome place for a day outing especially with kids. It’s called Children’s Zoo, but, if willing, adults can find lot of education and entertainment inside. Highly recommended if one is looking to spend a day out in Fort Wayne. There are 4 main sections inside and one could cover it all in 4 to 6 hours depending upon how you want to pace it. There are some fun small rides inside. We enjoyed sky safari, crocodile creek adventure, animal carousel. You need to pay separately for these and is typically $3 per person per ride. There may be an all ride pass available if one is looking to do all the little rides that may save some $$. Enquire at the ticket booth. (If one has few more hours and energy left and is looking for some park fun, there is big Frankie park adjacent to Zoo.)

Absolutely love this zoo! I've been coming here since I was a baby and now I'm bringing my babies. The staff is super friendly and the zoo is always clean. I love it here!

It was the best zoo I have ever been to
Crazy expensive there. $15 for 3 bottles of water but it was a cool place to check out. You have to do the boat ride, train ride wasn't that great. There was lightning 20 miles away so they wouldn't let us feed the giraffe. I think it was better then the Indianapolis zoo.
I love the zoo and it is interactive. On the day we were there a worker had a snake out so the kids could pet it and ask questions.
This zoo was so much fun! It's not as big as Toledo zoo but was half off on Sunday and we paid nothing for parking for the 4 of us it was $45 and one of my kids was counted as a adult, so to me was pretty cheap
Great zoo, not just for kids..
Beautiful children's zoo!!
Very fun and memorable place! Just wish food and refreshments weren't so outrageously priced....
Good variety of animals and experiences. One of the best decorated/themed Zoos I've been too. The plants/exhibits are something to look at as well as the animals.
I have been going to the zoo for over 40 years. It is one of my favorite places to visit. I haven't been able to get there in the past few years and have to say I love the new Australia adventure area! It literally looks like a cute little town. Has a great feel and a wonderful look. Good job Fort Wayne Children's Zoo!!!
Our family stopped at the Fort Wayne Zoo while on a trip driving past the city. We had heard that it was supposed to be a top 10 zoo in the nation, and we were not disappointed. I was extremely surprised with how well the landscape is designed and maintained. Very clean and beautiful, a definite must stop if you like zoos and are in the area. They have several rides including a train, a ski lift like ride to see up high, a carousel, and a couple more I'm forgetting. We rode the ski lift and although it was kind of neat, and was nice to sit down for a few minutes, that's the one thing I would have skipped. You just don't get to see much other than a a view from afar. Maybe they're planning to put more stuff in there? Would have been neat if you were actually going over something. Anyway, we loved this zoo. Recommended!
Great zoo. The kids had fun.
Fantastic as usual. My wife loves feeding the giraffes. Clean and great staff.

Always nice and clean when we go. The staff is friendly and will answer any questions you or the kiddos have. Having a pass is nice because we can go for an hour or a whole day depending on our needs. Love supporting the zoo and will definitely be back.
We were in town visiting from Texas. The zoo is always on our list of places to go. This time, there were several babies. So funnto eatch them play. Great time!
The Best and cleanest zoo I've ever been to. Been to several zoo's in my day but this one has sooo much, is so clean, very kid friendly, great staff as well as food and bathrooms everywhere! Will definitely be back Price is average but experience is well above average, not expected at all but it was very outstanding!
Had little animals out that you could see, giraffes weren’t available to feed, the only thing there that my son could enjoy was the carousel and the pony ride but unfortunately once we got there the pony’s were exhausted after being forced to give rides all day they kept wanting to stop but were pulled and pushed to continue going around the pony trail, just sad. I’d definitely recommend the Indianapolis zoo instead.
Wonderful children's zoo that's fun for kids of all ages.
We absolutely loved this place!
Absolutely loved it. Great family time. Will definitely go again.
Only been like 5 minutes, sitting at a park, and a peacock randomly comes up. Pretty fellow. Strange considering we're not even in the zoo yet.
Took the family here today and we had such a fun time. I loved the pony rides for the little ones the attendants were super helpful and made sure to check on all the children even with parents walking with them. Truly astounding people!
One of our favorite places to go. Masks are recommended but not enforced. We went early in the day (10am) and enjoyed our time. Not all the animals are out but there are a majority that are. Being it's still early spring totally understood.
This place is amazing. My family enjoyed going to this zoo as it's not to big and not to small just right for kids. The grounds are very well kept, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The cost is not bad for something the entire family can enjoy. I would recommend this zoo if your in the area.
Price for adult entry
Always a great time at our zoo! Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who make the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo amazing.
The FW children's zoo is so nice. It's great to visit when hot bc of the multiple shade options. All of the exhibits are well maintained. We have a zoo pass and we love going multiple times per year.
Great place for the kids and had enough shaded or indoor exhibits to fight the heat of the day. Definitely doable all in one day. Cheaper than the Indy zoo which is nice but it would be nice to have everything extra included instead of paying here and there for the extras. Food and drink should be the extras you pay for, not to feed a sheep; in my opinion.
Overall a good zoo, nice size for the size of Ft. Wayne. We expected more kid centered, hands on exhibits since it is labeled a children's zoo. Had a great day there!
Really enjoyed the animal displays and the different rides like the boat ride that took us past the kangaroos or the carousel made up of endangered animals. My 2 yr old absolutely loved riding the miniature pony Anna Mae and getting to feed and brush the goats in the petting area.
Fort Wayne children's zoo is one of the best in the country. Always clean, always being updated and prices are great compared to other zoos.
Definitely a memorable experience! We got to see so much. The staff was phenomenal our entire time there. The animals were out and about and we had a lot of fun! Definitely recommend feeding the giraffes, petting the sheep, all of the rides (I.e the train, safari lift, log ride), petting STINGRAYS, and if you can try some of the little cafes they have everywhere. Some of the food was surprisingly good.
Had a wonderful day at the Fort Wayne we Children's Zoo. Worth the trip.
Our group of ten people walked up and were immediately helped into the park in no time. We shared photos. This zoo is neatly organized. We just had to follow a path not to crowded , but others to interact with. Parking lot and pathways were clean and free of debris. Parking was great nicely located. The exit was easy.
It is not as fabulous at it use to be where they use to have themes made out of pumpkins. For example.....the Adams Family, spooky Doo, ect. Maybe not enough volunteers???? I gave it a 5 star though because our zoo is looking fantastic and people care about our zoo. When it is open in the spring come on over and look at those live stingrays and our new lion!
Up to 10 min
Love it! Such a great place for kids! They always love riding the ponies.
Wait time
Used to work here over 20 years ago things have changed along! Seems like there's less animals, but a pretty good value for the money. Don't like that everything is a token instead of cash to ride or feed animals now
Not sure
I take my grandson almost every weekend and we always have fun seeing all the animals..
So fun!! LOOOOVE all the critters ???????? I love how they have zoo folks in the different areas to talk about the animals and the fun fact displays everywhere ❤️
Great little zoo. With lots of shade and benches
We got there and the pony rides weren't available on this day. My granddaughter was very disappointed. I spent money on the punch ticket for all the rides and the pony rides weren't available. I even told the woman at the ticket booth that I was purchasing the punch ticket for mainly the pony ride. Nothing was ever said to me about the ride not being available on this day. I ended up giving my ticket to another patron to use since we didn't use it all. I'm extremely disappointed and angry that I spent money unnecessarily on something that was not available.
It's changed so much. I did enjoy the Pelicans.
Absolutely LOVE the FW Zoo. Nice and clean, and the employees were all super nice. Plus I fed a stingray, which is amazing.
It was really nice. Would recommend. The only bad thing was it was super hot that day so a lot of the animals were not walking around some were hard to see because of where they were laying to stay cool.
I haven't been there in years. Tool my wife and son today and it was the best I've ever seen the zoo. The facilities were clean. The animals were in beautiful habitats. The staff was friendly and nice. We bought a membership for the family today and will be returning regularly! Thank you Fort Wayne Children's Zoo!
I've been coming here since I was a kid. FWCZ has adapted and updated quite nicely over those years. There are many varieties of animals on display, lots of rides for the kids, plenty of places to eat, and many bathrooms spread along the property. It's easy to see why FWCZ is ranked among the best children's zoos in the US.
I've been coming here since I was a baby. From the time I was a little one to now as an adult I love this zoo. There are so many memories I have here and it's always been a very nice zoo. Super clean and the staff is very friendly. If anyone comes to Indiana, they need to come here.
We had a blast! It was cold so a lot was closed but still had a great time.
My family and I love this zoo! There is so much to see and do. Definitely worth the hour+ drive from West Michigan.
Decent place. Every-time I have gone it’s has been good, not that much updates such as animals.. but it’s a really good zoo!
First Time There And I Loved It! Cool Exhibits, Awesome Animals And Lots Of Things To Do!
Yes
We have been there for memorial day weekend with one more family with a kid. Both the kids enjoyed a lot specially the pony ride. Even the adults had fun with sky safari. My little one enjoyed every bit of it. We really liked how they had restroom and Cafe in each section of the zoo. It wasn't too crowded and everyone enjoyed the trip. We all enjoyed the rides and the animals as well. We couldn't finish the whole place and wish to come back again to finish it.
The zoo was a blast. We took our grandchild and he had a great time! The zoo grounds were clean. My only complaint would be the prices of food and beverages. Extremely high so just a heads up.
Very fun trip. Good staff is always around to help.
The zoo was great! Be ready to spend money if you don't pack a luck or snacks. Quite pricey for food. Entry fee was reasonable!
Reservation recommended
Always top notch time spent at the zoo. I was there for just under 5 hours with my daughter, and we had a blast. My only complaint is the token to dollar ratio, but that's to be expected as rides and attractions are a main source of revenue for the zoo.
I've never had a bad visit here. I appreciate how clean and open it is. Not all zoos are so well maintained. My kids look forward to our annual visit all year.
Not the best, but certainly not the worst. Totally worth the day outside with friends, but nothing super special. The giraffes were the highlight for me!
Delightful. However, there weren't enough benches. We're old and had to go to our car to rest. As a result we missed most of our time with the grandkids.
Great place to spend a day with your family and rides are very reasonably priced!
One of the better zoos I've been to. (Comparing to Detroit and Toledo zoos) The layout is fantastic and it's quite interactive for the kids.
This is one of the best small city zoos I've ever been to. We loved it!

Super clean and the animals seem very happy. The staff are very helpful and nice. Overall its a great place for the whole family.

Our family had a great time, would highly recommend!
Such a great zoo. What else can we say. Fair prices, great exhibits.
Make as us you got pocket change for the kiddo because there's nothing to in the free world area if ya k ow what I mean. Nice place for an expensive River Greenway walk!!
1st time it's ok maybe if my nieces and nephews would like to go again
Wonderfully interactive! I think i had more fun than my 6 year old.
We loved it! Beautiful zoo. It is super clean and was not very crowded. Well done exhibit and overall it was very enjoyable experience.
I grew up always going to the zoo every year during the Spring summer with my family. It was always great. Now I get to take my kids to the zoo and we love to see all the animals.
We enjoy our experience every time we visit! Great layout and we are thankful for such a great time!

It is a wonderful place for the whole family. With the sky ride, carousel, train ride, and crocodile creek boat ride along with horse and ponies to ride. Even if you don't want to spend on the rides there is lots to see in Africa, Indonesia, and Australia. We enjoy it so much we are members and visit frequently.
Haven't been to the zoo for a number of years, but the renovations have been great. Always enjoying!
Gorgeous landscaping in the fall. Prettiest zoo I've ever been to. Nice variety of animals. Lovely train ride. Hope to come back next year.
Great place to take family. Very clean park. Very enjoyable.

We visited last week, the weather was kinda crummy but zoo staff were very nice and helpful. Lots of animals were snoozing, I liked seeing them all cozy and chill. The lions 'posing' for cameras and that was fun to see. The pea fowl were all over the place, making noise and showing off their feathers. Super cool!
We enjoyed the animals, log ride, sky lift, and train. The zoo was clean and not too crossed on Father's Day.
Very clean, exhibits are nice and well maintained. Costs are affordable. Animals range from the usual to" never seen that before.," The best exhibit is the orangutans. Several toddler monkeys are fun to watch
I love the animals, of course! If walking laps is what you do, this definitely will keep you motivated as well! If not, there’s a train ride, and seats everywhere you go if you need to take a break. Beautiful sceneries, and fun things to do!
The zoo is getting so expensive lately and do not bring your refillable cup from the year before because they tell you you can't refill it and you have to get a new cup.
My husband and I took the two children we babysit, ages 4 and 1, to your absolutely wonderful zoo on Friday the 18th. It was our first time going there. It won't be our last! We didn't make it to the Australian section but that was our fault. We enjoyed everything to the fullest! It's a 2 hour drive for us but it sure was worth it. Our 1 year old was mesmerized by the lions. He roared for over an hour on the way home!!
Such an outstanding zoo. The layout allows you to walk and not miss an exhibit. Super clean and well cared for. Always someone nearby to answer your questions. We will definitely be back.
Kids had a blast, this was the wife's first time visiting the Zoo, she loved it

The zoo is always a great time. The weather was perfect! My friend had never done the log boat ride before and she loved it!! I always enjoy it after all the walking the whole zoo!!! I can't wait to go back!!
This zoo is absolutely amazing. Bring your kids here! Adults love it too so that's a bonus
I was so very disappointed in the lack of places to buy good, healthy food! My glucose was dropping, and I was very hungry, yet we had to keep walking around to find Rays. The line was long but the food came fast. Next time I will bring our own food! But hey too many parents are willing to feed themselves and their kids junk food like they want to offer at the zoo. The Sea lion show was a disappointment. It used to be 3 trainers doing a great show, but now it was just barely 2 and the third just throwing food.
Beautiful, well kept zoo. There have been many exhibit improvements over the years; they are now immersive, interactive, and natural looking. Great place for the kids and for photography.
Not the biggest in size but the character of the zoo makes up for the fact. The zoo has everything you need to have a fun filled day- especially if you have children. Prices are the best around and the rides are great.
It was 30.00 to get in but enjoyed our day. Thinking about getting a family pass next year ☺️
This is a family favorite zoo!! We are from Indianapolis but we make the drive to Ft. Wayne just for the zoo sometimes! It has great wheelchair and stroller accessibility. The exhibits are immersive and fun for all ages. They have a lot of different animals and activities that we don't have at the Indy zoo. The walk through kangaroo area is a family favorite as well as the peacocks that freely walk around the zoo all day!
Excellent zoo and they are working to upgrade it. We just returned from the zoo today 9/19/2021. It is still a great little zoo. However the train ride is not worth it. You see only ducks and trees. Hopefully they can I[ grade it. The log ride is also suspect. There are speakers along the ride but only one worked. I'd they can update these and provide more information during the ride that would be helpful. I look forward to returning but I will stay away from the rides.
This place is AMAZING! My kids and my wife and I had an absolute blast!! Top notch Zoo!
Always a treat. Great zoo. Fun for the big & the small.
Beautiful place. Best children's zoo! natural animal habitat. Loved it when I was little and my daughter loves it now.
We stopped by Fort Wayne on our drive from NY to MN. Visited this zoo without much anticipation. Pleasantly surprised. Well organized, easy to navigate and nice fun rides. Food is pricey just like any tourist spot. We packed ours
I have taken my children and many other children to Ft Wayne zoo and have had a great time. I had a group of 10 campers that were able to sit and eat their lunch while listening and taking to a zoo keeper talk about a tortoise she was showing them. They loved it.
Very nice zoo, great for kids and adults.
I absolutely love the zoo. But last weekend I didn't get to see the lions because they had to repair the fence around them. So I was so disappointed. But the zoo is my favorite place to go to.
Brought my son here and we spent 4 hours visiting all the animals. It was kind of cold still so some animals were inside which I understand. My son enjoyed the pony ride and the carousel ride as well, there was a log ride through water and a train ride which we didn't do but they looked like fun! My son loved the sleeping Alligator that was right in front of the glass!! It was a great trip!
Busy Wednesday at the zoo, but always a favorite and another ✔ off the summer bucket list for the kids ???????? Appreciate the set ticket prices and lower prices than Indy! I always hate the price game Indy started... no guessing ???????? Kids love the log ride and train.
Good quality small zoo. Not too crowded and a great value.
The zoo was pretty clean, but some trash bins over flowing not emptied. We went to grab some food for lunch and half the things we wanted were unavailable. They seemed to be short staffed. The tables were covered with bees everywhere. Not just some near trash cans but everywhere. We gave up and threw food away, didn't want us or kids to get stung. Hotdogs and fries were good. Also maybe zoo c ould post onlinewhen animals tend to sleep, many exhibits had sleeping or hidden resting ani.mals
I love this place....the prices are ok...understandably needing the extra money to feed the animals and pay the staff...Great place to take the kiddos...
The fort Wayne zoo is an amazing place! Perfect idea to bring a family, or in my case a date. There is great information around the park to give you different perspective on wild life situations especially in the rain forest portion. 10/10 will go again soon!
Weekday
Amazing place for the kids. Love how you can touch sting rays. The slushy station was a great refreshing stop...
