Here you will see all the information of real people who are using the services of Twin Valley Zoo (Zoo) around Bathurst area (Canada).
Nowadays the firm receives a score of 4.5 stars over 5 and that rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is practically the best one, and it is founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the valuation is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to give their opinion when they are satisfied with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo is classified in the category of Animal park.
Small but really nice! Lions, Zebra, Tigers, etc.
Is ok, not like Toronto Zoo.
A great first zoo for a toddler and senior with walker. A slight incline and a gravel path. There is no food kiosk so plan to bring a picnic lunch. There are lots of tables. The Staff was very friendly.
We have been going for years. They have a critter show with interest animals. Very clean and the animals look well taken care of.
First time to this zoo. More animals than I expected, especially impressed to see kangaroos. Took a star off for the entrance fee, bit pricey but it's for a good cause. Also, would be nice to offer another way to feed wolves and bear without having to throw through the fence where bounced off food is wasted and animals disappointed.
This place is very nice ,variety of animals, clean and taking care of very well. the owners and those who work there are more than nice. Had an issue and the owner was extramly cooperative and respectful and solved it in the easiest way. Can’t wait to come back for our next visit
Fun, local zoo. Great for the kids!!
Perfect for a family outing with little ones - they can walk these small grounds on their own and the paths are easy to push a stroller, not uphill like at Toronto Zoo. A decent selection of animals from lemurs and monkeys, tiger and lynx, birds and reptiles... You can feed the deer by hand through the fence and enter in with the goats who are so gentle and social. Bring quarters for the food!
It was surprisingly very good. They had way more animals than I was expecting and great exhibits.
Big zoo. Great place for small children, you get to feed selected animals, and pet baby goats at the entrance of the zoo
Took my 4 year old grandson today. It was a tad bit muddy after all the rain. Some of animals were having a nap but all the monkeys were having a great time. We even got to hear the Kookabura give a great laugh.
Stopped here on the way back to NYC and I am glad we did. It was a nice small zoo that was not busy. The weather was great and the animals were great. I love the birds that roam freely
It was great, only 4 stars, the deer feeders were empty we told the front desk waited about than told a zoo keeper waited 30 minutes they filled them as we left, also wish they had of told us the "bear food " was also food the wolves could eat. Other than that enjoyed our time there
Good day tour for kids, bit expensive but that is needed to maintain the park
Great place to spend time with the family! They have a lot of shaded seating areas, great for picnics. You are encouraged to bring food and eat there. It's small enough that small children can run ahead of you and still be within your sight. The animals are upclose and you can take lots of pictures. The entrance fees are affordable and they have a good variety of animals. They a have a show where you can pet reptiles and ask questions to know more about the animals that are being showcased. They have a small goat petting area and also a small store where you can buy toy animals for the kids at affordable prices. This was my first time at this place, great experience!
Nice ppl. Cute animals.
A great place to spend a few hours, with an impressive range of animals and very helpful staff. The Zoo is somewhat on the smaller side, relatively speaking, but the variety of animals and the obvious care that they all receive, makes it impressive nonetheless. From lions to wolves to zebras, this great zoo is a perfect place to take the family and enjoy some time appreciating these lovely animals.
Always a great time visiting Brantford Twin Valley Zoo. Very well laid out and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. We've been year after year and will always come back for the experience. A definite must stop for anyone in the area!
Super cute little zoo. The animals seem to be well cared for and the staff is friendly and helpful!
This is a good zoo for kids as there are lots of animals and easy to walk around. Was not overly busy on Sept 25th which was nice. Reasonable priced admission and friendly staff. The lion enclosure seemed a little small but perhaps there is more space somewhere else
Really enjoyed this zoo. There are a lot of exotic animals here, and many you'd never get the opportunity to see otherwise. We got the opportunity to see the tiger within about 6 feet, which was a really cool experience. We chatted with one of the caretakers, and he gave us a lot of cool information about the bears, lions and tigers. He told us about one lion in particular that was alone in a smaller enclosure by herself. Turns out she's really old, and would most likely fight with the younger lions and that's why she's alone. You could tell how much they cared for her, and also shows that maybe the people trashing this place don't know the whole story and only judge based on their very limited knowledge of these animals. No real option to purchase food, so pack your lunches.
Nice property. It's large, a pleasant walk, and scenic. Only has a small number of animals, but an overall good experience. It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours at the most.
It's an ok zoo.
Nice experience for kids or just to pass a couple of hours. The animals are all sleepy and boring but still nice to see
Great for younger kids, this zoo will likely only take a couple of hours to see all the animals. They have a great little sanded playground if the little ones need a break.
Great size zoo for a family with small kids. Bring the lunch and have a picnic at same time.
Great place to view animals, have a great picnic and spend the day!
Our family always has a good time at this zoo. I discovered it years ago, when looking for a closer option than Toronto Zoo. It is small, affordable and a much shorter drive. You can circle the zoo in less than two hours, walking conservatively and stopping to take lots of pictures. It's a great option for young kids, as they have a petting area, some creatures roaming around, a playground and a show that runs every couple of hours. You'll find a solid cross-section of animals here, from goats to lions. There is a souvenir shop that sells treats, clothing and toys.
This is a wonderful place to go especially with small kids. Usually in and out within 2-3 hrs. Lots of great animals. Located in Brantford Ontario. Staff are friendly and the park and animals are well kept. I recommend checking this zoo. My kids loved it.
It's a nice little zoo. We love our visit there. The animals are well taking care and the kids enjoy feeding some of them.
Great outing with little ones. Picnic table conveniently located throughout the park. Prefect size. Friendly staff.
Had a lovely time like always, was a great way to get out of the house for fathers day. And The camel seemed to take a liking to me lol
Perfect walking distance for young children. Great 2 hour visit
Looks like im going to need to get a seasons pass, she loved it so much
Took my son and had so much fun! Such a cute little zoo. A lady who worked there was howling with the wolves, such a cool experience
Very friendly staff, not big so not a lot of walking yet there's still plenty of animals to see, lots of picnic tables for you to rest, petting zoo for goats
A marvelous place to bring the kids. Get a close-up view of the animals that is rare in larger zoos.
I Love this Zoo, easy to walk around with your kid get cool day and the big cats are super active. Highly recommend a season pass love going weekly always see something new. Staff are super friendly and always friendly.
Cute and small but a great zoo. Well cared for animals
Perfect size for kids and good variety of animals. Well maintained grounds and animals look like they're taken very good care of.
Definite go to place with littles. The size is just right and the are a variety of animals and birds that kids can see and learn about. It isn't so huge that the kids get tuckered by the first hour itself which is great for younger children.
This was our second visit to this Zoo, we had our first visit in Aug 2013. My kids loved: 1. Talking parrot 2. Various animal/birds In terms of animal, this is a nice place to for your kids and family. It may take 2/3 hours to enjoy the zoo. The washroom facility improved and a reptile corner addition/improvement that I found during our visit. Zoo owner could improve: 1. Better entrance with more visible signs 2. Can improve animal show by adding could of animals and birds The reason I gave 4 stars this time as they reduce facilities in the animal show compared to our visit in 2013. Over all nice place to spend times with your kids and family.
So much fun. Perfect for kids under 12, less walking than other zoos.
Was a great walk through to see animals never seen on a daily basis. Wished there were more Canadian domestic animals featured. Such as beaver, elk, moose and waterfowl. Overall a very good experience, would return in the future
I enjoy it there for me it's the right size not too big and so many different animals
Very underwhelming, I had expected more for the price. No park map was given when we arrived so we were guessing where we were going. The little playground was run down and falling apart. It was neat to see the animals, but it took us less than an hour to see everything and were left wanting more of an experience.
Lovely zoo, bigger than i expected
Had a great day! Animals all very active! Baby bears are adorable!
Loved it had so much fun!!!!!!!!!????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Perfect size zoo for the little ones.
It's a small zoo which is a plus. Just not many things to see but for children it's pretty good and kids get to feed deer n goats so more enjoyable for them.
Fun for the whole family
Its good for children!
Great day out with the family. Saw everything and had a picnic lunch in about 2.5hrs. Great for smaller kiddos. (Or big kids too!)
It was fun day
A great little zoo. Perfect for younger kids. A manageable amount of walking in comparison to large zoos.
This is great zoo to take the family. It's not very big and is never usually crazy busy which is nice. Great alternative to the busy Toronto Zoo.
Great little zoo my neices loved it the staff is really nice too :)
Great intimate zoo with lots to see. Very nice to have a picnic near the deer and tiger exhibits.
Its a nice and small zoo to let the kids run and burn some energy. Took us about two hours to go through. Bring a snack and drinks. We would go back again.
Love this little zoo! It amazing to get so close to some of these animals. Last visit the lion was bellowing at the wolves which was amazing to hear. Not something you experience at your average zoo.
I never knew this sweet cute zoo was around. It was nice to see and cute animals. $18 to get in. I did enjoy. Make sure when you go make sure is not to hot!! Enjoy
The little one had a blast.
Twin Valley Zoo is an amazing experience. All of the animals are well cared for and the enclosures are very well maintained. The staff are friendly and eager to share their knowledge. I highly recommend it!
Great afternoon with the family. Extremely well organized and well run facility! Had a great time. The animals all look happy and well cared for, and some are even quite friendly. Great variety of exotic and some not so exotic animals. My son loved every moment, but especially the deer that will come and eat out of your hand. Well priced admission considering the animals and cost of operation, a bargain really! Not the biggest zoo by land size, can be walked through comfortably in a couple of hours, so it's a perfect afternoon or morning trip. Highly recommended!
It was hot so not animals were active. But like the size for a small child.
What a sad little "zoo". Just being there made me depressed. One lonely tiger, one lonely Lion. Half of the zoo looked like a strange hoarder mess. Would not go again.
The staff are friendly and so are the goats! ???? The zoo is clean and the animals are content and look healthy and well cared for. The information we gained about reptiles was enlightening and exciting. We will definitely be back!
Much nicer and less packed than toronto zoo
Twin Valley Zoo is an amazing experience. All of the animals are well cared for and the enclosures are very well maintained. The staff are friendly and eager to share their knowledge. I highly recommend it!
Love this place, friendly for all ages, easy to walk, lots if areas to sit and rest in shade or sun. You can get really close to animals. Great place to pack a cooler have lunch. You will always see something new even if you walk the place over and over in a day out. Staff very helpful and interactive.
It’s a small zoo aimed at kids. Good selection of animals, although you don’t really get close to most of them. It took about an hour to go thru the zoo. There were lions, tiger, wolves, camel, monkeys and a few other animals.
Great experience! Loved how well you can view the animals
Great facility. It's the perfect size, paths well made out. Lots of animal variety and cool play structures for kids of all ages. They have also done a really good job with placing tons of sitting/picnic areas in the shade. Pack the kids up, bring a lunch and enjoy the animals. I'd say no matter the children's age this place provides half a days worth of activity. I will definitely be back.
The trip to this zoo made for a great day for my kids and myself. A baby goat was very interested in my 3 month old. My older two were thrilled to feed the fallow deer. The tigers were up and active and very cool to watch. Many of the animals were up and about and actually moving around, and it was very exciting all around.
Went on the civic holiday. There was a line up on the main road to enter but it progressed fairly quickly and we were parked within 40 mins. Compared to similar zoos this one is small and not as costly. We brought 3 small children ( 11months, 6 and 7 years old) the zoo was a decent size with clear paths for them to walk and for a stroller, I opted for a baby carrier. There were a few tables scattered around for resting or having lunch. We were able to explore and observe all areas in just over an hour. The kids enjoyed the small animals area and the loose birds. The disappointment was with the size of some of the enclosures, they seemed too small of a space and the playground for the children was quite small as well. With the 5 children there it was too crowded. Great experience for the children overall.
Kids had a great time!!
Great size zoo. Took an hour and a half to walk approximately. Will go again!
A great little zoo with petting zoo, animals to feed safely, and lots of thought put into helping families enjoy themselves.
Needs some work but still good for kids.
This is a fantastic place to spend a few hours with the family. Good attractions with the animals and easy access throughout the zoo.
Really nice zoo. Perfect for toddlers not too big and not to small. The animals appear well cared for. Theres a place where you can feed the ???? goats! super cute.
Wonderful little zoo with lots of shady trees for animals and visitors. Most animals have lots of space, open sky and seem to be thriving. Perfect size for younger children. Some of these animals came to the zoo because they were injured in the wild, others were unwanted pets and even cast-offs from other zoos.????????
Very clean and you know animals are cared for well
First time going and brought the family. It's a smaller zoo but perfect for young kids. Only took about two hours to complete and that's including watching the animal interaction show and stopping to play with the goats. The zoo was very clean and the animals all look very healthy and well taken care of. The zoo is fairly priced as well. I am looking forward into bringing my extended family here.
The only thing I could suggest would be signs to point directions of stuff
Very nice a good assortment of animals but a bit small

My wife and I love it there. The animals are well taken care of by the expert keepers. We didn't meet the newest member Daniel the Ocelot.
This you was great zoo experience. Decent size for people of all ages, and not get tired out like the massive Toronto zoo. All the animals were awesome, especially the lemurs. They are always so cute. Lots of picnic tables along the zoo to stop and grab a bite to eat and have a refreshing drink of water. You can bring you own food and drinks which is a plus :) There is a show at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm. We went for the 10am one and they did it at 10:30, so we missed it. Can only feed a few of the animals, which is OK, but if you really want to all the animals, go to the Oshawa zoo.
The enclosures are BIG and beautiful. The staff are so friendly. The animals look very well cared for! Great place!! We will be back for sure!
Very neat little hidden gem of a zoo! I would recommend not going on a super hot day as I did and didn't see as many animals as i had hoped as they were hiding in the shade, I don't blame them lol I just would consider an morning/evening or cooler day. Its great to have a place like this so close to town!
Great time at Twin Valley Zoo! Very fair priced admission with the option to bring your own food makes this an affordable experience. My kids and I had an absolute blast and will for sure be back in the near future.
My girlfriend and drove past and had a spontaneous visit. After almost 4 hours we realised that this is quite a nice zoo, recommend to families and couples of all ages. Cost is even better in comparison to everywhere else.
A very nice clean zoo. Not to much walking. Lots to see.
This is the perfect family zoo!!! Big enough to have a great selection of animals for kids and small enough that you don't need to spend all day in there and a trolley to get around!
The entire facility was clean and well laid out. All animals looked healthy and well cared for.
We had a good time. There is no goat feeding or treats for the wolves right now so that was missed by my little one. Happy to see their doors opened this year.
Amazing place! Clean, organized and perfect to go with little kids :) very recommended And the parking is free
Amazing place can’t wait to go again, the goats were so fun to feed and so cute and gentle as they can be, amazing staff
Great place. Able to feed the animals which is great for the kids and also able to bring in your own food.
Really good place. My kid loved it, friendly staff and a calm environment.
A great place to bring your kids for the day. Very friendly staff and loss of awesome animals to look at.
I had no idea there was such a great zoo so close to Brantford. Very nice for young kids.
Great staff specially the owner was awesome... nice small Zoo with good and healthy animals.. the lion run after you in friendly way when you run so play full. ... must visit with kids and spend some good time with your family very recommended.
It was a nice zoo for a 2 hour visit with a young child. It's a nice close outing to see some animals.
Lovely place to go with a young child. It only takes 2 hours to walk around. The place is clean and animals are well fed.
I love this place so much. It is very nice and fun. Love the animals and the staff are very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.
This place is great but during this social distancing period there is no show or reptile exhibit most likely I would normally give it a 4 star rating but right know it's a 3
Decent place. Small, not too much walking especially because I push a double stroller and have one three year old on foot and an 8 year old with autism running all over the place! Animals were looking exhausted though, just laying around playing dead or something and it wasn't even hot. Kids loved the pygmy goats, they are delightful! Would go again maybe next year. I got a wag jag deal so it was cool.
Good for small kids and young families. My 9 year old and I had fun. He liked feeding the deer and goats.
Good for little kids
Awesome place. Alot of animals. Well taken care of animals and grounds. Small zoo but lots to see. Couod use more benches to sit at throughout.
We had a great experience, we brought two little ones and they were great. We brought lunch and ate at a picnic table Unfortunately it was very hot the day we went, so much animals were hiding in the shade to keep cool We still were able to sew lots of other animals and get pictures
Excellent fun place for the whole family. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. We went on a Sunday in September after schools reopened. Wasnt very busy. Lots of cool animals to see. Several different varieties of large cats. Petting zoo where you can pet and feed goat, deer, chicken. Amazing experience for the kids to be able to connect with Nature upclose. Would definitely go again.
Great little zoo for kids! Not crazy busy and parking is free. Bring your lunches because there isnt food for sale here! Which is fine by me :) kids loved being so close to all the animals!
Great spot to bring the family for the day!
Great little zoo! Can see the whole thing without a huge time investment. Worth the trip.
Small zoo where toddlers can have a live interaction with those animals and birds which they start learning from the basics. Very well organized.
Aw some place to go on a family outing friendly staff. Nice to get out on a walk also and see all the animals and nice shop love it
Love this place. Great setting and wonderful staff. The animal show they have is great, interactive and fun.
Great zoo for my young kids (5 and 3) not so big that they can't walk the whole thing but not so small that they're bored. Also nicely located for is cing from Cambridge (compared to going all the way to Toronto!)
Very well maintained and display of exotic animals , kids would love the same
I very nice little local zoo. Love that they are always expanding and changing and updating their enclosures. There is always new things to see. The animals all look happy and healthy and the staff are very nice. They have a lovely picnic area, show times and you can feed the goats.
Such a great outing for kids and adults! The zoo is set up well so you're never walking long before the next animal. There are flamingos, lions, tigers, bears, goats and deer (that eat from your hand!), Tropical birds, reptiles, monkeys and so much more. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We had a great morning at the zoo!
Great zoo that's nice and close to home and not too big for the little ones to walk around.
I took my children and grandchildren and we overstayed in error! We were love love loving this quaint zoo! So much so we forgot the time and the staff were so gracious about it! The animals looked well cared for and we had the best day! The price to enter wasn’t expensive and the social distancing was easy to do there! Please go support this little gem’
Walkable and the animals are very easy to see. Great for young kids.
Everything was sleeping but the red fox was my favorite one. It was a nice little zoo. I could not see the wolves and every big cat I saw looked like I was it's lunch????.
Awesome for kids. Takes about 2 hours.
Peaceful zoo with lots of space!
Me and my wife went today and I had one mission in mind, i wanted to see and hand feed a wild Belgian Bagel, i went through the entire zoo and was unable to find one, in fact, the had no bagels at all, that being said, For a small family owned zoo just outside of Brantfordnof all places, it's really not bad at all, a good enough variety of interesting animals, overall pretty decent looking living conditions, and a good educational show for kids, I dont know if they still do it but they brought out a baby lion to pet when I went years ago, not a bad day out but I advise going on a slightly cloudy cool day so that they aren't all hiding from the heat/cold.
Wonderful Zoo and lots of walking and variety of animals. Bring your own snacks and water. And there is a nice gift store.

My family and I have been attending the Twin Valley Zoo for years, but this unfortunately stops today. We were denied access due to a service dog for disabilities. We are greatly disappointed that the Zoo is not an inclusive space and hope that they look into the basic service animal laws in Ontario.
Great place to see exotic animals up close. They have a goat petting pen which is great! Takes about 2 hours to walk around and see everything. There is no onsite restaurant and washrooms facilities are on par with most campgrounds. They have done what they can to provide space and activities for the animals but size is a constraint.
Very nice place, friendly staff and lots of seating. Staff was feeding some animals while we were there and did an information session on what they were doing and all about the animals. Definitely on our list of places to return too ... Hidden gem in our back pocket.
Appaling conditions for the animals, looks like it's been abandoned for years. Instantly regretted giving them my business.
Our kids really enjoyed it. They had lots of different animals. Lions, tigers, and bears.. oh my! Actually bears were not available. So we fed our bear food to the wolves which was cool. I enjoyed the tiger, and wolves... they were big and were moving around. They also had some cool interactive monkeys. Lots of babies too of all kinds. Kids also liked the small petting zoo. They had hand washing areas all over the place. Overall good time!
Great zoo. Great for younger kids. Had a great time
Nice little zoo, Sunday afternoon well spent
Had no idea this place existed. Very happy we found it. The kids had more fun here than they did at African Lion Safari and the Toronto Zoo. All the animals seem to be in good health and well taken care of. Great place to bring the family.
Kids had a great time. Hot day for it but lots of shade and places to sit
Had a great visit with the family today. Staff were friendly, great variety of animals for the size and decent value. If you live in the area and have kids, definitely visit because, you won't be disappointed.
Love this hidden gem ❤️❤️
Saw a Wolf, Tiger, bear, Fox fir the first time ever.....amazing place to visit with the kids.
A solid morning or afternoon of entertainment for the little ones. A great starter zoo for young kids if you don't want to push through the crowds at the Toronto Zoo. Older kids may run out of excitement but the wee ones love it.
Was an ok zoo but for the same price you can go to much better zoos like safari Niagara. The animals look sick and unhappy and are caged in tiny prisons without any shade. By far the dirtiest and unkept washrooms and cleaning stations I've ever experienced in my life. The water to wash your hands actually smelled like pig feces.
Lots of animals
The zoo was meh!! Personally not as wheelchair accessible as hoped. Most of the attraction where closed due to Covid-19. *To offer more constructive feedback as requested regarding wheelchair access. We understand the washrooms are accessible. We found that gravel pathways are not as accessible as hard packed or paved pathways. They pathways just to seem to drop off at the edge by the Loin and Capybara enclosures do to loose gravel. There is a extreme deep descent downwards after the Guinea pig village and Barasingha Deer enclosures that is NOT accessible do to the grading the pathway and the loose gravel *Disclaimer we very much enjoyed this Zoo the animals all looked happy and healthy and well taken care of. These are my personal thoughts regarding our visit and our experiences.
Very nice place to visit with kids
Not a bad place to take your kid there for the day.
Amazing place to spend time with the family!! Took the kids for the first time today and we will definitely be going back again and again. very reasonably priced and good size so kids are able to walk the whole park no problem! Would recommend very highly for something to keep yourself and the kids busy!!
It was hot and sunny but there so has great share as you move around the park. Some exhibits send to be in rough shape, with a few animals not out on exhibit. Would love it if they could stick a few human snack items in the gift shop.
Nice small zoo for children
Such a nice place, the animals are lovely and the staff clearly love the animals. Such a nice place to spent a few hours.
So many happy animals! This is a great place to spend the day with the family.
Staff great well organized. With everything going on right now felt very safe.
Wasn't expecting much as I didn't think it was very big but it was great. The kids loved it and it's not such a huge place you get sick of the walk. Great variety of animals, birds, tigers, Monkees, etc. We had a great day out.
Nice local family zoo
We went Saturday, June 13, as soon as they open at 10am. We were greeted by staff and reminded of social distancing rules. The whole park had arrows and reminders of regulations. Also to not feed the animals. Although it was much smaller than the Toronto Zoo, we had a great time as we were able to see a lot of the animals closer and the weather wasn't too hot so that helped. We definitely would want to come back. No food available for purchase but drinks are available at the gift shop. There are picnic tables everywhere and you can bring your own food. Play areas are closed but our boys 9 and 1.5 year old still had a great time. Some of the birds and peacocks are just walking around so that was really fun to see for the kids.
The kids love this zoo. Small enough to see it all in an afternoon. Bring quarters to feed the deer.
Great for kids and the whole family. We love this little zoo with lots to do.
Yes its a smaller zoo, but that's what makes it more fun by being closer to the animals and its easier to get through the park quicker. Plus, they do small shows and the kids can feed the goats!
My favourite zoo around! The staff is super friendly every time. We try to visit as much as possible each year. I recommend this zoo to everyone especially people with small children. A lot of different animals to see. Cant wait to visit again once they are allowed to open!
Good place to visit with small kids. Lots of picnic tables to eat your lunch. Ice cream is available at the gift shop and it is reasonably priced.
Love this zoo!! Kids had a blast
Fairly small zoo but they have enough exotic animals to keep the family entertained for an afternoon
Family friendly, great and helpful staff, very clean and animals are cared for.
Good place to see animals. Early spring, so animals were lively and fun to watch. Nice to see the wolves up close and we enjoyed seeing them along with the big cats. Overall, a great way to spend an afternoon.
Great Zoo for young kids. Animals are all visible and usually active. Not too big that the kids get tired by the end but big enough to have some fun.
Had a good experience with kids and family ????
I loved this zoo. Fantastic people, the animals were great and obviously well cared for. The Aminal shows were wonderful and educational.
Edit: having been my first time I didn't know there was not much back in the woods. But the person with the golf cart that stunk kept driving by. I get the zoo staff need them and didn't mind any others. Honestly, barely noticed the rest. Will likely come again when covid is passed and the woods section is open. Zoo was pretty good but felt a little ripped off that the woods section was closed. Also try to avoid the people driving the golf carts; the carts give off a toxic smell that can't be good for you or your kids.
Awesome for a fun family outing. Everything was clean and safe, and the animals were all amazing. Hoping to have one last visit before winter!!
Great for young families. Can see everything in about 2 hours. You can bring your own food into the park, several picnic tables to eat at. They have Lions, Tigers and Bears as well as a variety of other birds and animals.
Awesome for small kids. Easy to walk through and lots of shaded spots to rest if needed. We've been 2 times now and will definitely go again
For a small zoo worth the money for sure great little adventure.
I love this zoo. I have been taking my kids since they were small. I am a wish granter for Make A Wish and we just had a wish reveal at Twin Valley. It was awesome. The parents said they couldn't think of a better place to do the reveal. It was perfect. Thank you so much to Jennifer and staff for making it such a special day for Maggie. It was truly amazing.
Good get out for family... Not fancy not bad affordable and nice layout... Animals are sleepy and deactivated.. You need to be lucky to have the chance to see them moving.
Excellent selection of animals, great value and good for smaller kids as animals are much closer together and therefore you don't have to hike 10km like the Toronto Zoo.
Great zoo
Way bigger than it looks, but most importantly the animals look very well cared for - will definitely be back for the Summer season!! ^_^
Aw some place to go on a family outing friendly staff. Nice to get out on a walk also and see all the animals and nice shop love it
Lots of animals of different variety. Spread out so lots of walking. Free parking.
GREAT place for families with little ones. Not an overly large zoo, but has a variety of healthy/well taken care of animals. Decent pricing (Adults $20.00, Seniors $17.50, kids $10.50, and babies under 2 are free). Lots of shaded picnic tables for you to rest at/eat your lunch (you're allowed to bring your own food/drinks in). Highly recommended!
Just left the twin valley zoo. What a delightful place the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly . The food was great and reasonably priced and the animals were all very active considering how hot it was today. Definately reccomend this place if in the area it's a pretty cheap afternoon .
Tiny zoo but has some cool animals and great for younger kids where the Toronto Zoo is too big. Wasn't too crowded. Great daytime visit to kill a couple hours.
Great little zoo just outside of Brantford. We have taken my toddler a few times and loves the goats (you can pay for food to feed them), and of course the bears, lions, and tigers. Tip: go at opening as the animals will be more awake. The big cats sleep during the day and since the enclosures are so large they are sometimes hard to spot. Lots of places to picnic and sit in the shade. Plan to spend around 2-3 hours here.
I’m not generally a huge fan of Zoo’s but we made our way to this little gem. A lot of knowledge from staff about the animals. The highlight by far...the goats!!! So much fun to interact with
Good zoo with some great animals. A lot less busier then Toronto zoo and for young kids all they really need is to see a few animals and go home before the get grumpy. They also run educational seminars every few hours at the outdoor centre.
Little big zoo full of fun!
We were impressed the big territory! All animals look well-groomed and pretty happy as possible in captivity. There is useful parking and a lot of place for rest an picnic What about the price? 2021 Daily Admission Children under 2 are free! Children (ages 2-14) $10.50 Adults (ages 15-64) $20.00 Seniors (65+) $17.00 Special Needs individuals with an Access card pay $20.00, the Support Worker is free Trip from Toronto takes around 1 hour and my advise to plan a start of your visit as close to open hours as possible especially during Summer
Great zoo. Good experience.
Was fantastic
I was there with my family last week and would definitely recommend this place to go. It’s nicely maintained, you can walk to all enclosures with your kids ,lots of picnic tables , and very clean washrooms. Bring your own food and have a day out there while following all the covid-19 protocol.
Was a small but nice Zoo. Nice grounds and the animals are well cared for. Does not have a restaurant so make sure you pack a lunch if you plan to stay a while.

Great little zoo to take the kids too. My 4 and 2 year olds loved it. Did the whole zoo in a few hours.
Small but beautiful zoo.
Great zoo for younger children. With an 18 month old, we got through within 2 hours. Just as he was starting to get over it. Animals look well fed and taken care of. No food or drinks sold here, so bringing snacks and drinks is definitely recommend. I'll be going back!
Perfect for a little jaunt. Took us about 2.5 hours to walk through. Also got the kids' faces painted (by someone in the family that owns the zoo) and she did a phenomenal tiger and unicorn ????????
What a great day at the zoo! We saw all the animals close up,place was also clean and very tidy! Well done????????????????
Kids get close to the nature. Feeding the deers, goats were fun filled thrilling experience for the kids. Worth the price with well maintained animals.
It's a nice zoo but it was annoying that the grass was so tall in front of many of the exibits my children couldn't see the animals.
I love that zoo. It is bright and attractive. The animals are well cared for. I got a season pass.
A day with kids at the zoo. It's about a 3-5 hour day depending on how slow you walk. Bring a picnic lunch There's plenty of picnic take to relax at. There's lots of animals to see. Lions, Tigers, bears...The only thing we noticed is the Boa didn't have a lot of space in the Aquarium. The Lynx had a small enclosure as well. Worth the visit.
Twin Valley Zoo was awesome.
Took a hour and a half to see the whole park. Kids love the tigers. With covid there is no feeding the animals right now so that was to bad. Great afternoon overall!
A great zoo for you children. Don't expect some of the bigger animals but if you're happy with an affordable, low-key zoo experience this is it. Very fun for kids and very accessible for strollers.
Small zoo but lots to see! Love going with my kids.
One day trip to twin valley zoo.
Small, quiet place with a good amount of exotic animals. Great for small kids. Not a lot of walking.
HIGHLY reccomend! Animals are so happy, active and up close and personal!! Its a hidden gem, cheap admission, beautiful grounds with shady spots along the way for rests and picnics. A must see if you havent already!!
Small zoo. Done in 1 hr
Great little zoo looks very well taken care of in my opinion.still has lots of cool animals lions tigers etc
great zoo experience, highly recommended for families.
Amazing time had by all. What a cute little zoo to explore with your faimily. Will definitely return again soon.
Great little zoo to take the kids! Little petting area at the front gate with goats.... The kids love it! Nice animal shows and a great little walk!
Great Zoo. Perfect place to take your little one to go and see a variety of animals
Cute lil family zoo. Takes about 1.5 hours to look at everything wo kids. Animals are taken well cared of.
beautiful monkers loved the hospitaslity 10/11
Very fun , not very busy zoo where you can spend a nice afternoon!
It was incredibly painful to see such a beautiful animals in the tiny enclosures. I have absolutely no idea why this considered to be OK!
Fun place to visit
Nice little zoo that takes about 2 hours to see it all.
Loved it.. Great little zoo
I absolutely love The Twin Valley Zoo. I find it the perfect size for little children with the perfect amount of animals. The enclosures don't seem over packed which means the animals get the attention they need (and don't need) the staff on hand are knowledgeable about their animals anytime I've asked questions. I've purchased season passesfor mmyself for the past three years and my son this past season and will definitely be picking them up again next season! If Tom ever offers "encounters" again, I highly recommend it. I now can say I've pet a tiger and lion cub!! Thank you for an experience of a life time!!!
Don't buy the "bear food." The bears could care less and the rude grey-haired lady at the front desk won't give a refund. If I sold a bag of rocks that claimed to be "bear food" I would give a refund if the bears don't eat it. If this happens to you, please make sure to complain so they change their policy.
This is a great zoo, lots of interesting animals and a good amount of walking. Always fun to go here, unless you accidentally show up no "school trip" day and there are 2000 there with you. It is still fun and they have wide trails, it just is a bit tougher to get up to the displays to see things up close. And the washrooms are a "lot" busier. But it is a great place and the staff are super friendly. The reptile show they do at set times through-out the day is also fun for the kids to see and touch some neat animals.
Family oriented setting with a variety of animals and a must stop at the gift shop.
Lot of not- so- common animal, such as zebra, lions and tigers. Kids are excited, but there is no food ( such as hotdogs or burgers) being sold there.
A good selection of animals, better than I thought it would be. It's worth checking out.
Great kid friendly place. A great zoo for small children as they can walk the whole thing. Staff is friendly. Great family outing and value for your money.
My family gets season passes to Brantford Twin Valley Zoo every year. We have been dozens of times and enjoy it every time we go. It can be a full day with a picnic in the parking lot or at one of their many picnic areas inside the zoo grounds. With a season pass, we also just go for an hour or so if we're nearby. A few important things to note: 1. The main washroom building next to the animal show area is the only washroom in the zoo, so if you have little ones, make sure they go before you trek off to the back corners of the zoo. 2. You can buy small treats/snacks in the front entrance building, but there are no restaurants or cafeterias. We prefer it this way because buying food at most places like zoos is exceedingly expensive and usually not very good. Just plan ahead with a picnic packed. 3. We usually buy a couple of bags of the goat food and bear/wolf food. Be careful feeding the goats because they'll pull the bag right out of your hand! It's great fun feeding them and they are certainly not shy. The bears and wolves will usually come over and grab the food you toss in their enclosure but of course they're animals so there's no guarantee. It's a good way to get them close for a good look. We have found the wolves more likely to come over than the bears but we've had success with both depending on the day. 4. The animal shows are worth sitting for. They have great info about the animals and you can touch many of the animals they bring out. They usually try to have different animals in the shows throughout a day, so going to more than one show is worth the time too. There are a couple of reviews talking about the condition of the animals and habitats. We have had conversations with zoo staff and the owner several times about this and they are well aware of improvements that are needed. This zoo is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on new enclosures and habitats, but of course it takes time. Saying that the animals are not cared for is an extremely unfair statement. If you have concerns, speak to the staff. Get some information instead of posting negative reviews, and you'll realize that this is an excellent family run zoo that cares for the animals and has their best interest at heart.
A small family run zoo. It is small but they do have a nice variety of animals. Absolutely great for kids. Go early in the morning when the animals are most active.
This is the perfect family day trip! Lots of trees and shade and the families we crossed paths with were friendly but mindful of current conditions and social distancing. We love the Grey Parrots and the howling wolves!
Great place for kids
Small zoo which is excellent for kids. A lot of great animals including lions bears. They have plenty of tables for lunching or relaxing. Zoo also has play area for kids which is a good break after walking around. Worth the price of admission.
Very cute little zoo! Be sure to check out Groupon before paying full price, I was able to find a family pass for $30.
Small but nice zoo great for younger kids. Had my daughter's birthday party there and it went amazingly. Very nice and helpful staff. They have a cabin in the zoo with a fridge and stove you can use for the party and seating in the cabin for a small group. I highly recommend checking this out an an affordable birthday party.
It is really not worth the admission.. very disappointed
We didn't even know this place existed until a friend recommended it. It's cozy and easy navigable with lots of animals to see. A surprising amount and also very friendly and interacted with guests, so that was cool. Gotta get there early though. Place was busy when we left. I will return.
Good family zoo. Animals are well kept and they look in good shape. Friendly people. It takes about 2 hours to go around. But that’s because of the kids. I would take longer just watching the tigers.
I have a concern with the small enclosure of some of the animals. The lion has such a small space. The tiger just spends all day pacing. Do these animals go elsewhere during off hours?
Great for kids for a couple hours. Small and the animals don't move around a lot. But the kids have fun nice day out without spending a lot on the toronto zoo
Fantastic size with a great variety of animals for kids and families. You can tell the handlers really do care for the animals.
Such a great little zoo, awesome experience for any toddler! Will definitely be returning again.
Although we picked the hottest day of the summer to go to the zoo, the experience was awesome! Because it is a smaller zoo, we werent sure what to expect but we were not disappointed. They have a range of animals from zebras to monkeys to kangaroos and tigers. The staff are so friendly and you can see they genuinely love what they do. They also had an animal education session where you can get up close with a variety of animals. Its a great place to visit this summer!
This zoo is a gem!! Beautiful small zoo with lots of unique and friendly animals. The zoo trails wrap around most cages, so you have every chance of seeing the animals. We got to see the Lions, tigers and wolves really close. We also got to pet the deer and the goats which were very friendly. This is the first zoo we went to where we got to see turtles and other reptiles super close. We loved it. The admission prices are very competitive with other places, $20 (tax included) for adults. They also have deer and goat feed for 25 cents. Recommended especially for young kids, we didnt photograph all the animals as we didnt want to spoil the experience.
Nice day trip. Lots of shade for when it gets hot.
Excellent experience, My Wife & I brought our four year old son here and we had a blast! It is definitely a unique experience and I look forward to returning here in the future !
Nice smaller zoo. Good size for the little ones. Two hours is more than enough time to explore. Will return
We were disappointed with our first visit to this zoo. First impression was poor with the gift shop being nearly empty. No map was given and we were guessing where to walk. Poor signage. Animal exhibits were decent. We saw a few things we liked such as the gibbons. However we will not be rushing back as it was overall underwhelming. No food vendors either. Missing the key things that make an attraction like this worth while.
Always a great zoo to visit with little ones as things are not too far apart.
Very small but the experience was great. It was amazing to see the animals so close.
Nice small zoo. Lots of enclosures empty, grounds are looking old and in need of attention. Friendly staff.
Before you visit any zoo think about how the animals got there in the first place; not a pleasant experience for the animals. And remember that the animals and wildlife here are not indigenous to our land.
Lovely little zoo
Great place for a visit or kids party.
Great size! Perfect for children to walk. Enough animals to see and not too big. They allow you to bring your own food and drinks too. Parking is free
They have a nice place. The animals are happy, healthy and beautiful
I had a great experience here. Masks are only required inside the giftshop and payment area as well as the reptile hut. Great lively animals and overall well shaded so not too hot when walking. The parrot was a hoot, kept saying "see ya later" when you say bye.

Great local zoo. Staff is wonderful and the kiddos loved the live animal show.
We really really enjoyed our visit!! It’s the perfect zoo for families. It has lions, tigers and bears, and adorable monkeys and goats too. You will love it there.
Great park. Went there a few years ago as part of a college assignment, came back during COVID with the family and was a great time had by all.
Lovely walk in the park, stroller accessible. The animals seem to be cared for.
Excellent place, Family friendly. You could easily spend the whole day here. Nice and knowledgeable staff. Lots of picnic benches, most in shade. Lots of trees along the walking path for shade.
Very disappointed children with us today. We called in advance of a rainy day and they said they would stay open rain or shine unless it was thunder and lightning. So we drove all the way from Guelph only to find the gate closed. When I called again, they said “the girls were soaking wet and going home so they have to close”. Unforgivable considering we had called in advance. Will never be back. Incidentally, also read that this zoo did not pass some scores around suitable enclosures for their animals. Just giving you all something else to think about.
Great for littles. Not too big, lots of shade and picnic tables. Good variety of animals.
Nice little zoo, has siberian tigers, bears, lion. Parking gets filled up soon.
Overpriced for what you get. Animals seem sad and could use more room/ better care. We saw absolutely no information about what we could do to help these animals in there natural environment or how we could be better stewards of the land. Only one recycle bin in the entire park, and it was used for trash. Hardly anyone, public and some staff, following distancing or mask rules.
Great place to spend a morning or afternoon. More suited to small children.
Great place to spend a morning or afternoon. More suited to small children.
Our first time here and our girl really enjoyed seeing all the animals and loved petting the goats.
Nice little Zoo clean well-managed you can tell they care great place for children
Great little zoo. Large selection of animals without the crazy hustle and bustle of the Toronto zoo. Cost effective. Friendly staff.
Great for toddlers. Just big enough that when they lose attention/ had enough, your done anyways. Pretty small otherwise
Great small zoo to bring small kids to. They have shows several times a day where you can pet some of the animals and they give you lots if interesting information about the animals. It is easy to walk around and see everything. They have some different kinds of animals that are fun to watch like lemurs and parrots. They have a camel, big cats, bears, small kangaroos, monkeys, zebras, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, a small collection of lizards and snakes and several more. You can buy food to feed the goats and deer right near their pens (bring you're quarters) and they offer bear food in the entrance/exit to throw over the fence to the bears. For no additional charge, you can go right into the goat pen and pet them or feed them. Fun for the kiddos for sure!! There is no concession at the moment, other than some minor snacks at the entrance, but you are welcome to bring along packed food. They shared with us that they are hoping to create a chip wagon type of consession soon! You can stay all day there, but you can see and do it all within a couple of hours. Great place!
Nice small trip...can't compare with scarborough zoo...but its a nice 1-2 hour visit , less crowded and gives good feel of wild life..enjoy
Great place to visit! Staff are always friendly and helpful. It's a nice walk and doable in an hour two. Lots of picnic tables spread around with views of the animals. Season pass is a tremendous value.
Just big enough where you are not exhausted walking around especially in the heat. My daughter loved feeding the deers. Bring the family!!!!!
It's tiny, and only takes maybe an hour to go through. But we quote enjoyed wandering through. There are picnic tables so you can bring in a packed lunch. Staff were very friendly.
It's the best place to take your family on a nice day, has a wonderful variety of animals
Good local zoo very clean, lots of staff around and not too big for little children. Just right and not expensive very affordable and kids love it.
I enjoyed bringing my little guy here to see all the animals! It's a bit smaller of a zoo but does have quite a variety of different animal species. There's also a fun little play area for smaller children including a sand box with toys and climbers. Some of the walking trail was under construction so it made walking around a bit difficult but didn't cause us to miss viewing any animals. Nice gift store but a little pricey for items. Overall, a nice place for family outings!
Very spaced and reason rates
It's a charming little zoo... The kids love it... There's a petting zoo with goats... They have lion's and tigers and bears... Oh my lol they do an animal show 4 times a day... You can rent their cabin for parties and there's a summer program for kids... Gift shop is cute... It's a decent zoo for the area
We really enjoying visiting with our 2 & 3.5 year old children. It's the perfect size zoo with little ones. We will be back for sure!
Great zoo for tiny kids, worth the price- love that you can bring in your own picnic aswell.
We went here today and really enjoyed it. There were a good amount of people there and people clearly about the place. It's great for kids. The place is nicely laid out and not too big. It's got plenty of animals and they're generally easy to see. There were only a few that we couldn't really see because they were hiding in the shade due to the heat in the middle of the day. It was a nice relaxing day out.
Fantastic place and very close to home our children enjoyed it
Very good place to see the animals, not so big perfect to go with your kids washrooms are in the middle of the park!!
I visited this place a couple weeks ago. I think they close for the season pretty soon. The animals here were active and didn't hide from people unlike many other zoos. They have shows about three or four times a day which are good for children (and adults). Theyre currently creating new 'wilderness' enclosures for deer and wolves. Great idea!
Highly recommend. You can get very close to the animals, much closer than Toronto Zoo. Numerous nice spots to have picnic, such as directly in front of the Siberian tigers' fence. Amazing! Seeing all animals takes about an hour. There are no food venues. Good place for kid's birthday parties.
Great zoo. Plenty of animals to feed tbat are very friendly. This zoo is treating there animals great and its more concetrated on animals than food shops. We got a chance to meet the owner. He was a very nice man who was working and getting dirty feeding the animals and tending the land. I highly support this organization. There is a small giftshop in entrance so they have some stuffed animals and other toys. You can bring your own food which makes it an affordible outing. Will likely get seasons passes next season. Thanks Twin Valley
Nice little friendly place. Nice selection of animals
A decent enough zoo. However their is no cafe on site which becomes a bit difficult if u r going with kids. Their is a Tim Hortons at 10 mins drive and a McDonald's at about 15m drive. Zoo staff allows u to get food From outside. My kids love the goat petting ares.
lovely place. not big as Toronto zoo , nice collection and kids had so much fun
Nice family environment. Not to big so it's good for smaller kids too.
I liked it, if you want to avoid the hustle bustle of busy city zoos and want to visit a zoo that can be covered in a couple of hours max, this is your place to go. They have plenty of animals and bird species in a relatively small setting but enough to keep the kids excited and engaged.
Great place for young childrento get up close to wild and endangered animals! This is an opportunity for learning and fun!
Small and nice for families
It was a nice zoo. Great for little ones. Not too big and not too small.
We have a seasons pass and my 3 year old loves it. We pack a lunch and go. The staff is friendly and clearly have a lot of love for the animals. We spend half our time there feeding the goats and deer. Love that they’re Hobbitstee Wildlife supporters too.
Excellent smaller zoo. Lots of picnic tables to consume your own food. The zoo has creature shows throughout the day. A small gift shop is at the entrance
Great outing. Washrooms were open and clean. Def great for kids to be out and explore. Animals and gift shop open, and little wash station at entrance/exit.
Very nice and clean place where the kids enjoyed walking around to see the animals. Lots of picnic tables so you can take a break and eat.
Perfect little zoo for young kids. A surprising range of animals. Walkways are shaded and picturesque. There is a show held multiple times a day where a worker will handle small reptiles and allow you get up close while providing information on the reptile. Food is available for purchase for specifics animals (eg deer food) and there is a goat petting area. The shop is small and has drinks, little snacks, and some small toys. Altogether the perfect place to take younger children as their little legs won't get too tired out from the walking. The workers seem to have a genuine love for the animals and are very helpful and informative. Thank you for a fantastic local zoo excursion!
Lovely smaller zoo with lots to see. Tigers, flamingos, bears, wolves, camels...amazing variety and a close drive from Hamilton!
Nice zoo, but pretty expensive for what it is. Staff was very friendly. Walkways are dirt & very dusty. It’s also pretty frustrating that they make you walk through a building indoors in order to enter and exit the zoo. They should open the gate outside to let customers in and out.
Was a lovely adventure with me and my son.... It was peaceful
Really wonderful place to take our 13month old. It is the perfect size for a toddler as it only takes about an hour to see all the animals. The big cats looked well taken care of, with lots of space in their enclosures. My daughter loved to pet the goats through the fence, and there is a lot of space to grab a quick snack in the shade. Going to be honest, some of the enclosures looked a little worse for wear, and the primates and reptiles looked a little constrained. For the most part, the animal care looked adequate… COVID must have done a number to establishments like these, so I won’t be too hard on them. I would highly recommend visiting this summer!
Great little zoo, lots to see for the size. Deer are a big hit with the little ones.
Great zoo to go if you would like to see some animals, and dont want to spend too long there
Too good. My kid enjoyed a lot
My daughter and I loved this zoo, and will go back there someday. :)
Zoo was great the animals were lively and the staff were really nice, definitely bring the family here!!
A small zoo with a lot of character. Definitely a place to bring the young ones and let them explore. Well run, clean and with enough animals to observe. A bit far from where we were but definitely worth the trip.
Amazing zoo for kids! We took our 2 year old and she loved it - it was the perfect size. Animals are close together so no long walks in between!
Good for the price, animals were really hot tho... Kids had fun.
Worth watching once
Small and cosy. Can finish it all in one day - so many animals for a family owned zoo and you can see them up close
A nice variety of animals. The animals seem to be well taken care of. Only bummer was the trail which was closed so we had to go back the way we came after seeing the Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
Always love visiting the zoo!
Fun little zoo with a great mixture of animals. Admission is cheap and parking is free.
Really nice small Zoo that wasn't crowded even though it was busy. Bigger selection of animals than I thought there would be and they're all visible so that's good for the kids. It took us around 2 hours to get through the whole thing including a small snack picnic ( but you need to bring your own food) and my toddler and kindergartener both enjoyed it and managed without a stroller or wagon.
I never knew this sweet cute zoo was around. It was nice to see and cute animals. $18 to get in. I did enjoy. Make sure when you go make sure is not to hot!! Enjoy
Aw some place to go on a family outing friendly staff. Nice to get out on a walk also and see all the animals and nice shop love it
Fantastic smaller scale zoo, family owned and run. I love this place, and have only recently gone there for the first time. I will be returning with my grandson.
It was a great spot for younger kids. The animals are awesome and there is lots of variety and it's not as busy or crowded as Toronto. We got to feed the goats and the bears and there were lots of spots to have a packed lunch as well.
That was a great experience for my family. We went on a weekday afternoon. It wasn’t very busy. Lots of parking, no line ups, no crowds. You can bring your bike, stroller, kick scooter etc. Also wheelchairs wouldn’t have any problem moving around. We saw lions, tigers and bears, giraffes.. and so much more. Also, I think the experiences such as butterfly, bird enclosures or amphibious animals can be added. Thank you Twin Valley Zoo :)
Nice place for kids and adults. We see almost all animals and none of the cages is empty and animals were active. Kids enjoy it a lot. The place was well maintained and the staffs are kind. Only the thing is there is a small parking lot but the staffs managed well. I recommend this place now.
Perfect day for toddlers and lots of animals to see! Highly recommend!!
Nice place to visit with small children. But fun for all ages. Not too much distance to cover so the walking is favourable.
Animal show was great but not long enough. Could see only 3 animals. Darby an employee was great in describing the features of animals. This Zoo doesn't have elephants.
Great little zoo to spend time at. Crowds are manageable and the staff are very nice.
My Kids enjoyed a lot...
Love this zoo! The zoo keepers are friendly and gave a lot of info about the lions and other animals. Very friendly staff. Maybe think of getting a food truck. We always bring food but it would be nice sometimes to treat the kiddos.

nice small zoo , not to busy staff were interactive and friendly.
I'm going to the zoo zoo zoo you can come too too too
We enjoyed our visit to the zoo, our kids were all over the place. It was a fun time. It was a little too crowded on a weekend but other than that I would surely recommend this place.
Beautiful Kept Zoo, a good walk through expect 1.5-2 hours with a toddler. LOTS of variety, and spacing. Get there early so you can purchase grain feeds! 10/10 experience
Lots to see, be prepared for a lot of walking. The animals were adorable, and seem to be taken care of well. Good alternative if you don't want to spend the time or money on going to the Toronto zoo.
There should more maintenance to the place, the animals in particular looked sad and sick...was not happy with the visit
Great fun for a little community zoo. My 2 year old had fun running around with monkeys screeching in the background.
Kids love here, for sure
Love this place always visit this place every year. Kids love it.
Good times every visit and love how they have live shows with various creatures to which they provide really good knowledge to the little ones..Perfect size for younger ages. Will definitely return and suggest at least visiting once!
This family owned zoo in Branford is an amazing hidden gem. Excellent experience with my infant looking at the Lions, Tigers, wolves, foxes, deers, bears, flamingoes amongst various others exotic animals and reptiles. The story of Tony and Henny who set up this family zoo and still live in one corner of the zoo was also very touching. It was great to meet the Henny in the gift shop who was very much enjoying what she was doing well into in her 80s.
We very much enjoyed our trip today! The facility is well kept, the animals appear healthy and there were friendly staff available everywhere. They offered information and were very kind to the animals. We will be back again!
Wonderful day at the zoo with our little one, perfect for the local fun day and if you got a little one they will love the petting zoo and there is a playground there too. Gift shop is a bit lacking for stuff with the zoos name but price is great and parking is free and super friendly staff 10/10 highly recommended
Price is very reasonable. There are a lot of animals to look at. You do walk the entire park, but is manageable. Can probably do the whole park in under 2 hours. Overall, no complaints!
Really great zoo and affordable prices (you can even find a groupon online). They also have a small petting zoo (goats/sheep only). Tons of animals to see and a small playground for kids to burn even more energy in - amazing!! My daughter barely made it out of the parking lot. She was out.
A great day for a family outing
AMAZING ZOO, all the enclosures were big and clean, super friendly and helpful staff and owners, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
It's a great zoo to bring your young children to.
Great for kids, place is overdue for some TLC, but otherwise a great zoo. Will go again.
I love this beautiful zoo. There is something so magical about it. The animals seem so happy, curious, active, and engaging; the grounds are so pretty and clean, and the staff is so kind and welcoming. The positive energy and love poured in by the keepers radiates throughout this place. You need to go and experience it for yourself. Thank you for making this place exist. Please keep doing what your staff is doing ❤
Great experience!! Smaller zoo but nice to get close and see so many in one spot.
A great place for the family!
Great! We had a great family time! Nice variety of animals! It was amazing that some of them were free, so that the children could appreciate them moving in front of them! Prefect size if you are going with small children! All personnel was friendly and polite! ... And I must mention that the apple and blue berry pies were delicious! I'd definitely go again!
Good little zoo especially if you have a smaller child. A 2 year old wouldn't make it in the large metro Toronto Zoo, but would enjoy the Brantford zoo. They have all the animals you may want to see. And if you go early the animals are super active.
First time this past weekend and had an amazing time with the family. The viewpoint to see so many amazing animals up close - was fantastic. We definitely will make it an annual tradition and visit. Keep up the wonderful work.
This zoo feels like the movie " we bought a zoo". We have gone at the start of summer every year for 5 years in a row now. Absolutely my favorite zoo...quiet, small, family friendly, quaint. My kids love this zoo so much. We all don't like crowds or busy. It's not overpriced, not too big...just the right size to enjoy a day. The animal.shows are great. Animals all look well cared for and content. Thank you for being such a great little zoo. It's tradition to go at start of summer holidays...once we go we feel like summer can officially begin.
Awesome zoo! You can see the animals so much closer than any other!
The staff are so friendly and infornative. Not to mention the place is awesome with some wonderful animals and beutiful birds!
Family friendly. Nice day out with kids
Amazing experience! We went on an overcast day in the middle of July so the animals were out and active. The variety and calibre of the animals was impressive, but the goat petting area was the highlight!!
Very nice zoo... i love to see so many animals!
Great little zoo to take the kids to for an afternoon! We have been going to this zoo every Thanksgiving for the past ten years. Our 2 1/2 year old had a great time at the animal show. Cant wait to go back
Small zoo, but well staffed and the kids love it. The animals are obviously cared for an happy. We watched tigers play ball in a pond not 15 feet away like they were housecat and the bears were social as well. Would recommend this place to anyone with small kids.
Nice little place. Some of the enclosures were quite small, but the animals seemed well cared for.
So many cute and exotic animals. Short drive from downtown Brantford. The price is also inexpensive.
Beautifully kept up little zoo
What a fantastic place to spend a day.exceeded my expectations times 10.if you have children, even better value
Love this place. Staff are easy to talk to and walking around is calming
Not big, but good to see animals with children
Great for 4 year old lots to see but not overwhelming.
Ok place to take your younger kids to see some exotic animals.
We spent two hours here taking in all the exhibits. It would have been nice to have had zoo keepers available to answer questions or have meet the keeper sessions.
While not an overly huge zoo, it still offered a variety of animals for families to see. From flamingoes and tigers, and other zoo favourites, there are a couple of different animals, such as red foxes that were saved, bred to have silver and white coats. A nice addition is they have small hiking trail through nearby woods, which offer the oppurtunity to see the local wild life if you are quiet. They do offer an animal show wherr you can meet a couple of their critters, more up close and personal, while learning facts about their lives. On site, their is a petting zoo with baby goats, where you can interact and feed the animals, though it is frowned upon to pick them up, which is understandable. Umfortunately, the only bathrooms on site are in the middle of the park, making it a busy area. Throughout the park there are picnic tables for people to stop and rest at. On site, there are no major lunch facilities, so you are going to need to pack a lunch if there for the day. The gift shop may offer snacks and drinks, but did not stop in there to see. Overall, a decent little zoo in the area, though it is feeling a bit old and dated. Would make for a good trip for an afternoon, as you can see everything in tjree hours or so, depending on how fast or slow you go.
Fantastic. Much closer to home. Inexpensive. Many places to sit and picnic or whatever. Not overwhelming. Here's a tip - don't go when its 40°C.
Loves twin valley zoo. Perfect size for small children. They setup social distancing protocol. Everyone was following. Had an enjoyable couple of hours ????
Great little zoo. Animals seem to have decent size enclosures, and the staff are seen regularly out and about maintaining them. The staff were also very friendly and helpful despite it being a very busy day.
Nice easy walk with animals that are much closer than your typical zoo. Perfect for families with young children. Aside from the typical zoo animals, wolves and guinea pigs(too many to count) were a nice surprise.
Had a great time seeing all the animals, even in the rain. Small little zoo, easy to see it all in 1-2 hours. Wide variety of animals.
Was a great day cant wait for the shows to start again ... covid has changed our world when we went, our province was not all the way open yet
Didnt see half of the animals that was there the day we went. Lions are in a such small cage i really felt bad for them. Same with the monkeys. I put 2 stars cause for a 2 year old its perfect cause it took us 30 min to go around the trail so she could keep up with us and feeding the baby goats was fun but you can go to any regular farm and pet those goats for free. Wont be going back unless they drop their price down
Great place to take your little ones. Not too big and some great animals for them to see.
Awesome set up for the younger kids. Small enough the littles can walk the entire zoo and big enough there are still cool animals to see. Wasn't busy at all, we went on a Wednesday. Two thumbs up.
Great place . Kids loved it. Definitely go again.
Our family absolutely loves this Zoo. It feels like an animal sanctuary. Spend a couple hours and bring a picnic lunch. You will have a great day.
Nice medium sized zoo. Beautiful enclosures. Staff are very friendly and love their animals. If you have change you can feed some of the animals. 18 for adult admission which is great for an outdoor zoo.
The time of day and year that you go is very important for seeing the animals. Went in early afternoon in the middle of summer and they were sleeping. Wonderful zoo especially for little kids. The odd thing I found was that they would have the predators were right next to or across from prey.
The best zoo.
It was good neat and clean. Animals had pretty big spaces. But it was not that tiring to walk. Was a pleasant experience. Couples with kids will enjoy this zoo.
It's a good zoo. Definitely don't come without food because there are only snacks available at the shop. Not too much walking beacuse the park is small and lots of benches to stop at.
Nice little zoo, perfect for little kids. Not too busy, not a whole lot of animals either. My 2yr old son loved it though. It's a small zoo so doesn't take too long to go through, which is great for the little ones that might get a bit restless of a whole day at the zoo.
Wonderful little zoo. Easy walk for all ages. Animals are very well taken care of.
very relaxed, take it all in at your own pace. Sometimes you'll find peacock feathers or even just random peacocks roaming around. Recommended for all ages!
Such a great zoo! Awesome for kids as it's not huge. Still a great variety of animals and they're all super easy to see. You can get pretty close and it's not usually too busy.
Good little zoo, well priced for the animals that are there. Didnt see any zoo attendants with the animals or "Feeding time with the tigers at 1pm" and informative sessions that you often see at other zoos. Might be a fun thing to add... Side note/heads up for anyone going- The we waited about 35 to 40 minutes to get into the gate to park (make sure you hit a bathroom with the littles before getting in lineup).
Small zoo. Perfect for small kids. They can feed same animals.
We visited in August, it was a spur of the moment trip but well worth it. The animals were all calm and looked very well maintained. you could pet the goats and deer and they were very friendly and clearly well fed as they weren't swarming the fence for food like most petting zoos. was a very nice shady walk through the park. Will definitely be returning next summer :)
This zoo is great! Nice and small. Love that they have shows that are interactive and resourceful! Staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is the goat pen which is a huge hit with my family and they absolutely loved them. There were also baby goats born 3 weeks old but were kept separate from the older ones. Goat food to have them eat out of your hands. My kids had a blast
A good outing for families with young kids. The zoo has a surprising number of animals with stimulating enclosures. Animals were easy to spot but had privacy options. Nice blend of artificial and natural landscapes. Staff was very welcoming. You can get through the whole zoo in an hour, paths are stroller/wagon friendly. There is an area where kids can pet pygmy goats, super cute but super excitable so enter with caution. Nice manageable day for the family.
Awesome little zoo. Animals seem well cared for staff are friendly. Easy to walk the full park in a couple hours and still have a good visit with all the animals.
Great for little kids
We took our son for his first visit to the zoo. It was a great size for his age and the roaming birds mesmerized him.
What a great place to bring your family and enjoy the morning or afternoon. Just a few minutes outside of brantford and has tons of animals to see. I suggest going in the morning because when it get hot out the animals take cover under shaded areas and it's hard to see them. It's not overly large and can easily be seen in 2 hours. They have a petting zoo area so the kids can pet the goats. They also have a live animal show at noon where they bring out a few animals/reptiles and tell you about them and you can also pet them.
Excellent little zoo. The knowledgable staff is enthusiastic and care about the animals. When leaving was greeted by a nice little old lady behind the counter. The animals were quite active and you can see them up close.
I took my 3 and 5 year old kids there. It was the perfect size for them to be able to walk around the whole zoo and not get tired. The staff were very friendly.
Nice little zoo! It takes about 2 hours to walk it leisurely. It has a decent arrangement of animals as well as goats and deer you can feed. They also grow their own garden and whatnot. Perfect size for littles to walk the whole thing without being exhausted.
A very nice zoo. Spent 2 1/2 hours there with ample time to see everything. You can also buy food there to feed the animals.
Fun little family zoo! Nice selection of animals to look at and feed.
Great for small kids who will be able to get close and touch some of the animals. Small zoo but a good variety of animals.
My husband, daughter and I went here for the first time. It is a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Although there was no feeding giraffes, we still got excited over the animals. We were hungry when we arrived and there were not very many food options. Unless you wanted a bag of chips or ice cream sandwich. But would I come back? Most definitely... after eating lunch.
Great place to take kids for something to do for a couple hours
Amazing zoo. Lots of animals from farm animals to exotic animal. Very clean and very interactive for kids, including for toddlers. Absolutely loved it and will be back for sure.
Excellent place for families to spend time with kids!
Perfect zoo to go with a toddler, just the right size. A good assortment of animals who all seem to have a good amount of space. Make sure you bring bug spray, the mosquito's get bad in some parts (due to nice forested areas) I also wouldn't suggest planning on eating there. No food to buy and the picnic tables are all a bit of a mess.
I love this place because it's small and great for young kids .. I have to admit I was a bit fearful of the camel. It was making a lot of noise and frothing at the mouth (I think preparing to spit) he/she was having a bad day from the heat I'm sure. I really look forward to being able to pet the goats again and the animals seem to be happy and in good condition
Great day for young kids! Bring your own food for lunch tho, no where to get food.
The entire facility was clean and well laid out. All animals looked healthy and well cared for.
Great outing, nice to see the lions, bears, and many more. Great to see the beautiful peacock's
Decent amount of animals, buy food to feed them it's more fun, three hours is enough. Can picnic.
A nice little privately owned zoo. All animals seem very healthy and were surprisingly active. Some empty exhibits and it takes 2 hours max to get through all of it
Great zoo! A great place to bring young children.
What a great little place for smaller kids, without all the overwhelming activities of a larger facility. A small run zoo with a variety of animals including zebras, lemurs, lions, tigers and bears. Decent price and only an extra $1 for food to feed the goats which you can feed in the enclosure. They also sell bear food for $2 and have deer food available. A creature show is included, in a cosy setting. Play area available with picnic area and washrooms all of which are very clean. Tip: go early when feeding begins to ensure sighting all the animals.
Thought there would be more animals and they were sold out of food to feed the animals, my 4 year old was very disappointed.
A surprising number and variety of animals. It was an enjoyable morning spent with family and the animals.
This zoo is great! It has all the animals in a very compact space and so you don't have to walk too much and get to see bears, tigers, lions, wolves, zebras, and more.
A really nice zoo. Not too big - perfect for young kids (2-5) and families. My kids had a blast! Thank you!
It was awesome! Fun day for families and lots of amazing creatures to look at :) will definitely be returning!
Great place.. friendly.. relaxed.. just big enough for a couple hours outing..
We love this zoo! The animals have nice large enclosures but are still mostly visible from the viewing areas. The plaques are very educational about each animal, and the staff are so friendly. The Zoo is not too big or crowded so you can go through at your own pace. The animals appear to be well cared for, and there are a couple of feeding stations and demonstration area where you can interact with some animals. We had a great time at the zoo and will definitely be returning.
was a fantastic fun filled day with my daughter and grandson and wife. great atmosphere, must do again.
Lovely, clean, and fun zoo with very thoughtful, involved staff! Our favourite exhibits: They had a very cute Guinea pig village!! Cutely decorated above with cheery, colourful flags! My kids especially wanted to come just for this exhibit! This exhibit was my enduring memory from coming to this zoo as a child. They are located at the farthest end of the zoo. You will find them after you pass the bear and deer at the top of the hill. They have around 8-12 Guinea pigs. My kids second favourite was feeding the deer with corn! Suggestions: Come when it is a cooler day and early morning so that the Guinea pigs aren't too sleepy. Bring hand sanitizer if you are planning on petting the deer. Types of animals: Bears, wolves, lions, red kangaroo, camel, tigers, zebras, flamingos, unique ancient cow species that has a hump, porcupines, parrots, budgies, Guinea pigs ♥️, bunnies, goats (can hand feed them), monkeys, snakes, lemurs, deer, chickens, Guinea fowl, etc. Duration: We were there for around 2.5 hours. We could have stayed for 3. It is the perfect sized zoo for kids and tweens. This zoo is bigger than Riverview Park and Zoo in Peterborough, but smaller than Toronto Zoo. Other Exhibits that Others Loved: the grey talking parrot, and feeding the goats. Their food is purchased in their store. Parking: Free and there is lots of it -little shade though. Food/Drinks: Their gift shop has cold water, some other cold drinks, freezies, ice cream sandwiches, etc., but not full meals. It is around $1.50 per freezie or water bottle. $2.50 for ice cream sandwiches. There are picnic tables and benches everywhere for you to bring your own lunch though. Gift shop: It has adorable zoo animal stuffies, purses, trinkets, etc. Cleanliness: They maintain their grounds very nicely -almost no litter. Take a picture of the map on their site or of the one in their office because they aren't handing out maps to reduce litter. The attendees seem to care about keeping it nice too! ♥️ Staff: Lovely, thoughtful staff! I can't say enough good things about them! They are super happy to help and just thoughtful, great people that really care about their zoo and the attendees having a great experience! Playground: They have a Little Tikes playground designed for little kids (babies to maybe age 7 or 8) with a sandpit. It has a slide. They also have a Jungle gym; see my pics for the Jungle gym. Wheelchair: The whole park is wheelchair accessible. They have dirt paths covered with a small amount of very fine gravel but they are mostly dirt. They also have a ramp leading up to the washroom. See my pic. Washrooms: Clean and cutely decorated with animals in the family washroom. My kids were thrilled with the Guinea pig decals! They have a change table in the family washroom. They also have a unisex bathroom as well. The washrooms are situated in the middle of the complex. Admission: For one adult, one kid, and one tween ticket with taxes, it came to $41. COVID: Masks are required inside buildings, but not outside. I saw very few people wearing masks outside. Inside the buildings they limit the number of people coming in. They have hand sanitizer near the goats.
Great fun for young kids! The zoo is the perfect size with a lot of different animals.
This place is beautiful! The animals look well taken care of. Lots of places to stop and rest! Washrooms are very clean! A beautiful small zoo! The staff are friendly and amazing!
Really cool place. The animals all look happy and well taken care off. Would take my family there again.
nice day with the kids! close to hamilton, had alot more animals than we had expected. reasonable admission prices, and not crazy busy like some places in the GTA would have been. Great day at a family friendly smaller zoo, but almost all the animals you'll find elsewhere. any of you tree huggers on here suggesting the animals are unhappy are clueless idiots. go watch the nature channel and watch animals in nature with zero meds or healthcare, and life expectancies half of what they are in zoos get eaten alive, which in your moronic thinking the animal would prefer because at least they are "in nature" and having the joys of experiencing the food chain first hand. Better yet, take your dogs and cats and drop them off in the bruce trail so they can experience the joys of being undomesticated. LOL. the animals i saw were happy and relaxed and playing all day long. not too much of that going on in the real world
Definitely not as big as the Toronto Zoo, but perfect for our almost 2-year-old. Well worth the price of a membership this year, and we will likely be renewing our membership for next year.
First time here and was actually surprised for a small private zoo, employees were nice and the park took about 90 minutes to go threw it ,bring comfy shoes because the attractions aren't real close but they aren't far apart either ,fairly prices, for 3 adults and a 2 yr old we paid $70.50 which is fair to see the animals
Easy access to see animals..nice walking paths..not big..great for kids 10 and under
A nice little zoo that is easily accessible for all ages. Very affordable for a family to enjoy a morning or afternoon. Pack a lunch and enjoy a meal at one of the picnic tables. There is a nice little play area for kids. The animals are well cared for and the workers take pride in their jobs.
The staff was so so friendly. We went the day after the lose of 18 year old Prince...???? The animal have a lot of space and a great day out for any age.
Amazing. Small enough to do in about 2 hours but longer if you take in the free shows. My 3 kids (aged 5-8) and I did this in the morning and left by 1 when it was getting hot. We stopped on the way home for lunch. It was a great day. They sold bear, deer and goat food but it was fairly cheap. Do spend money to feed the goats, my kids loved this! believe it was a machine that took quarters, so bring change. My kids spent a good hour in there and still talk about it! All the good zoo animals without going to a giant place and driving far away. Was only about a half hour from kitchener. Price was reasonable and free parking.
very good distance methods on the way in but found it's hard to know which direction I'm supposed to be going for the social distance directioning. Maybe some arrows fell down. Kids had a blast finally getting an outing.
It was a nice place to take the kids. Small, but fun. Not a whole day thing....but good for a couple/few hours. Young kids will love it.
A very good zoo with a wide variety of animals. A bit pricey, being not that much cheaper than the Toronto Zoo that must be 4x larger.
Nice zoo. A nice array of animals to see. Feed the deers and pet the goats. A fun day oit with the kids.
Not too much to do there but entertained the kids for an hour or so
I went on the last Sunday of the year before they closed for the season and it was excellent. Lots of beautiful animals to see walking around. You can easily spend 1-2 hours walking around depending on how much time you want to spend enjoying the animals and beautiful walk through. The staff was amazing, above and beyond friendly and knowledgeable. Also had the privilege of meeting the owner Henny, hopefully the correct spelling of her name. Henny was a wonderful lady and told me the history of how her and her late husband bought the property years ago and all the hard work and time invested into making it the incredible Zoo that it is today. It was truly a real pleasure speaking with the owner. Special thanks to everyone for all the efforts and love put into this Zoo making it such a great success. Its definitely worth the drive to Brantford. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
Great family zoo, lots of family things to do plenty of picnic areas, my grandchildren love the petty zoo and animal show. We had our lunch and spent the better of 6 hours.
Nice little zoo. Animals seem well cared for and the grounds are fairly well kept. It is built on hilly terrain so is could be a challenge for some.
Beautiful setting ! The animals are so well cared for. We had the chance to see most of the animals up close and we even heard the lion roar the wolves howl and the tropical birds squawk! My 3 year old grandson was able to feed the goats. He loved it! It was a memorable experience for the whole family. We would highly recommend this zoo for people of all ages especially the children. We will definitely be coming back!
Great variety of animals in a nice sized acreage. Lots of places to sit and observe or just rest a bit. Great way to spend a couple of hours or more.
This is a great place to take the kids. We had a wonderful time walking along clean pathways under trees that provided lots of shade. Very safe for children. Educational with a surprising number of different varieties of animals. I would recommend this zoo for everyone. Staff are helpful, knowlegable and very pleasant.
We were super impressed with the activity level and condition of the large animals compared to other zoos we have visited. The wolves were wading through a natural creek with great coats, the tigers were chasing each other, and even the bears were active on a hot humid day. Our toddler loved his close contact with the deer and the goats and was mesmerized by the monkeys. We would highly recommend this zoo for its friendly staff, observed animal health, and lack of commercial feel. Also as others have mentioned it's very walkable with little kids.
Being as "small" as it looks from Google maps I didn't have high expectations. However, I was very surprised to see how much they do have and the way they have set everything up. We had a great time and my kids loved every moment. Awesome place to visit to spend an afternoon.
Excellent for small kids with inexpensive feed and the opportunity to feed a couple types of animals (goats and deer). A bit on the small side, but decent up-close viewing of most of the animals.
Pretty decent size, spent 60 on 2 adults 2 kids, all in all we were there for about 2.5 hours.
Not bad as a small sized zoo, as walking around isn't much difficult for small children and elders. Limited in amenities and activities so don't set your expectations too high for the low price you pay. Watchout for Groupon offers as you can only redeem using the APP. I had to pay again on site, as my kids were waiting for this visit and I didn't want to let them down. Unfortunately the administration /management weren't willing to assist or go an extra METER for a customer. It is also posted that there is ZERO tolerance for any kind of disturbance for big cats, so if your 4 year old decided to roar infront of a sleeping lion, better head straight out on your own before some security escort you out. So sad to experience such an ancient school of customer service and surprised to see them still in business.
Can’t say much, maybe I visited at wrong time. Pandemic, hot day or enlist anything else. Half of the cages were empty, some parts of the zoo were closed and the species present were hiding inside wooden cabins or sleeping under trees to save them from scorching heat. I would suggest to visit during evenings or early mornings and also let all of zoo to reopen. One thing that fascinated me while leaving was a Peacock opening its wings. I have posted the too for you.

Good for young children
It's a fun zoo....you even get to play with goats. BUT lots of the cages are VERY small for the animals which I hate to see.
This was a great little zoo that the kids loved. You can feed the little goats and other animals throughout the zoo. Even on the hottest day, the trees shade you throughoit the zoo as well. Great little picnic ares to eat. Friendly staff. We will be back again.
We had an amazing afternoon! Lots if animals to see. Really liked all the picnic tables scattered to stop and sit. We will definitely be back
I went with my 3 year old and spent 2 hours there, which was a perfect length for a toddler to walk through the zoo. She loved the goats and deers (because you can feed them, 25c/handful of corn).
Nice little zoo providing up close encounter with many animals. Free parking, entry is $20 for adults, $10 for child, taxes included. Visit on a day with 25-27 degrees weather to get the most out of your visit. Most animals are in reasonably sized (not very large) enclosures so there is good chance of seeing them up close. All Monkeys & Lemurs were really fun to watch, kids will enjoy feeding the goats, Lions are also visible & you will really enjoy if you can find the Tiger playing with the large ball. There are plenty of shaded sitting areas, benches & a small & really dated playground. The washrooms were very clean as well. If you are tired of visiting Toronto Zoo or just do not want to spend full day with animals than this is a good way to spend around 2-3 hours on a weekend, on a budget.
My family really enjoys visiting this zoo. The animals seem very well looked after. We go at least once year
Such a great place! Can do the whole thing in under 2 hours for a great price!
exotic animals, petting zoo area and animal show. great place to take the family.
Great place to be spend 3-4 hours with kids. Clean and lot of places to relax and watch animals.
Great place to bring the children.. excellent staff who take the time to talk to youngsters about the animals.. ????????????????????
Excellent zoo, alot bigger than I thought with a nice variety of animals with close interaction. Keep up the great work!
Excellent zoo, alot bigger than I thought with a nice variety of animals with close interaction. Keep up the great work!
The best Zoo ever. Very clean place. The manager is super kind and the staffs as well. They have lots of animals, kids love to go there always.
great small zoo. great for a two to three hour visit. very enjoyable without being exhausted by the big zoo. wonderful alternative
Friendly employees and saw almost all the animals minus the wolves. I recommend this place for small children.
Friendly staff, very humble entry fee & gift shop, and animals are kept in large green spaces. Very clean zoo & animals look well taken care of!
This place is great. A nice walk through the animals were lively and the staff are friendly. Easy way to spend a couple hours.
No signs along the paths to indicate certain animals are at the certain paths so people with little kids could decide of where to start and where to end the view, otherwise it was alright experience
Nice for walking around with young ones, low key and relaxed...until you start paying attention to where you are and what you are looking at and give your head a shake. They have a number of large wild cats, bears, wolves, baboons...All animals that normally have much larger habitats for roaming...all animals that become depressed and miserable with this form of containment. What are your kids learning by looking at them in this condition? Animals are meant to live for themselves, they aren't for our entertainment or education. These animals should be in the wild or at an animal refuge cared for by a select number of aware people. Not stared at and talked to and prodded to 'do something'. You want to learn about these amazing creatures, plan a trip to a sanctuary or preserve, watch animal planet, go on a hike or save up and take a trip somewhere where you might catch a real glimpse of them living naturally. This place is to be avoided by thoughtful parents, educators and guardians.
Opened up during phase 2 of corona epidemic... As of June 21st, not everything was open though. You can walk through the zoo, which is on the smaller side. Presentations weren't running. No touching the animals or feeding them. Expect to spend no more than an hour here if you're walking through with kids and stopping to see the animals. They have lions, monkeys, wolves, turtles, ostriches, different kinds of birds. Nice variety with peacocks roaming around. Cost is about $20 per adult although if you go on father's day fathers are free and on mother's day, mothers are free. Kids are about $16 and under 2 free. Likely won't be going back as we saw everything there is to see and it's pretty small.
It's ok. There are a ton of picnic tables and it is very family friendly. The lack of signage and muddy paths were annoying
Very nice place. Smaller zoo but very well kept. Really looking forward to one more visit before the closing for the year. Next year will get a season pass for sure.
Fantastic little zoo. Able to get close to animals! Great for little kids. Lots of babies
Small and quiet zoo. Wasn't too busy good for a day outing with the kids
Nice walking zoo. It seems very run down.
Went for a birthday party, very clean. Lots of flies but that should be expected at a zoo. Lots of cool animals and way less people than at a big zoo.
Great family environment. Many animals you can view. Flamingos, goats, lions, black bears, several different monkey species.
Nice sized zoo, good location, always fun at twin valley, just wish the trail was open
Felt bad for the lions, tigers, camel you can see the enclosures are way too small and the animals arent happy . Goats were having a hard time breathing and just laying on the ground. I left shortly after getting there, I couldn't let my kid see how sad those animals were and let her think this was okay to do to animals. The camel is pacing backs and forth swaying his head and biting bars displaying frustration and just unhappiness. The animals have nothing in their enclosures with the exception of a few dead christmas trees. Overall just a sad visit.
A great time for everyone
Nice and shady and great for little kids because it's a small zoo. Only takes about 2 hrs to see and do everything.
There is amazing diversity and interactivity. Five stars for sure!
Love this zoo, it is a yearly trip for our family. It’s a small zoo but still quite enjoyable.
What a fantastic little zoo with a wide variety of animals. I would highly recommend this zoo. The animal shows are an added touch! We will be back soon!
A smaller sized zoo than I expected but it isn't tiny. The animals look well taken care of and energetic. The zoo as a whole is clean and tidy. The employees are also happy and pleasant. It was a perfect sized zoo to take young children, they could walk most of the way without having to rest in the stroller. My only complaint is the little playground is totally falling apart and needs attention.
We love this place! Very clean, lots of areas for picnics plus a little playground for the little ones. I called at the end of the day to tell them I must have dropped my sunglasses somewhere in the zoo. They called first thing the next day, asked me to give a brief description and I went to pick it up. Everyone I spoke to was just lovely.
Amazing zoo! Great people and animals! A great happy place for everyone.
love the zoo fun and friendly staff makes this a yearly visit for this family . they always a full sanitizer available to use . whitch makes me feel safe letting my little one touch the animals very happy with my visit and recomend to others
My family loves this zoo. We will be back soon and we’re so excited!
Great experience, was there with my wife ,daughter, son in law and our 16 month old grandson. Great place for the family! Bring lunch and spend the day.
Great place and all the animals looked healthy and well taken care of.
Awesome!! I went with my childs Daycare! And its smaller then the Toronto zoo, so its great for smaller kids, as its alot less walking for them. Its Affordable, The animals are healthy, and very friendly, you can actually touch most of them, especially the goats in the pen. The Chickens are not afraid of people, and let you walk right up to them, and you can pet them as if they are a dog. Totally cool for the kids! Definitely will be coming back for years to come!!
We had a fun visit. The work that zoo keepers do is so important and we enjoyed our time. There's much I can say, but let it suffice to say...you should go. We will.
It's not very well maintained place .overtall ITS AN NOT SO place
Good place to enjoy with your family . Its is a small zoo but animals seems to really happy as there care taker take good care for them
All the animals are extremely happy and well taken care of. Great zoo to take the little ones too!
Beautiful landscaping and good selection of animals. The tigers looked a little skinny and the reptile section was extremely small but still a great place to take the kids especially if you like monkeys
Nice little family zoo had a good time there and was fun for a quick trip to see some animals
Great zoo loved this place! great time to spend out here.
Great experience! My LO enjoyed it
Our family has visited twin valley multiple times over the last few years. This zoo is very clean, well spaced and family friendly. Big selling point is its location. It takes approx 30 minutes from Hamilton with a fraction of the traffic in comparison to Toronto Zoo. The staff is friendly and we will return. Covid 19 has changed everyone's day to day life. You can buy food and feed the goats, bears and deer. This has been discounted because of Corona Virus.
Lots of great animals and birds nice warm day
Great place to spend a few hours with your toddler. Decent selection of animals.
We had an amazing visit. Can't wait to go back
Clean affordable fun for the whole family!
Lots of shade on a hot day. Nice size for little kids' outings - two hour experience.
What a great zoo! Took my 2 year old here and he loved it ( so did I). So glad I found out about this zoo!! I will definitely return and highly recommend!
Price was right for a family. 2 hour walk. Friendly staff. Good for the kiddo
It's nice bc you can get close to to the animals and can see them well. Perfect for toddlers BC zoo isn't too big. Lots of picnic tables to eat on and you're allowed to bring in your own food. Would be nice if there was a nicer play structure for kids to play on
This is a amazing Zoo. The owners are caring and love their animals so much. So if you can please visit the animals cause they love the attention.
3 yr old loves it
A small zoo compared to Toronto Zoo, but a good size for small kids that can't last a whole day! $36 including tax for two adults, and my 1.5 year old was free (parking is also free!). We did the whole zoo in 2 hours, which was perfect because our daughter had enough at that point. They had a lot of animals for a small zoo, but there were some animals that were notably missing: crocodiles, alligators, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, and elephants. It makes sense that this small zoo cannot accommodate larger animals; just wanted to throw that out there in case you are making a special trip for a specific animal! I liked the goat petting zoo, and we enjoyed feeding the deer. My daughter LOVED seeing the monkeys and flamingoes. Great little zoo to visit if your kids are under 5 and you don't want to pay the ridiculous prices at African Lion Safari or the Toronto Zoo! That being said, I do agree with other users that some animals have really small enclosures. I felt bad for some of them.

This is a great zoo! They have a variety of animals and the staff here are wonderful and friendly. A fun way to spend the morning or afternoon with the family.
Went here with my school, the children loved it! I personally want to go back by myself and explore the place at my own pace. Love the hands on experince you get with some of the animals and the fact that they have cleaning stations for after. One thing I would like to see here is a food option for the guests. I understand that they dont want the animals being fed though. The reason for 4 star is the staff. During the show that was presented the lady was not talking loud enough to hear, some speakers would be great, and when she let the children pet the animals she skipped many of them. When we tried to shout "hey she wants to pet him" 3 times, the lady kept on going. Unfortunate for the children.
It's a cute smaller zoo that is very well kept. I loved how close you could get to the tigers. The best part was the one grey wolf who kept coming up too say hi :)
Perfect size zoo for younger kids!
Went there earlier today for the first time, decent selection of animals. It's a small zoo, however it's great for families with small children. I love the fact you can bring your own lunch, they do have picnic tables available as well as snacks in the gift shop.
Relatively small zoo but lots of animals to see. Great for younger kids and you don't have to drive far to see some cool animals.
About 1 hour to walkthrough, great for kids
Had the privilege to help @southernmissdixiesfoundation deliver some goods donated for the smaller animals. The staff is very inviting and knowledgeable and the animals were incredible. The baby Gibbon stole the show, and we had a fantastic afternoon. Looking forward to the next visit and hopefully bring more needed donations for the amazing creatures that call twin valley home.
Took a stroll through this zoo with my wife a few weeks back and had a good time. Fed some deer and some wolves and even pet some goats. Good way to spend a couple of hours.
Overall good
Wonderful place. Animals are healthy and well treated. The folks are friendly and picnic tables everywhere. Just bring a little snack and enjoy the animals around you.
LOVE this little zoo!! Perfect zoo for the littles. It's not very big so it's very walkable for youngsters and there is alot to see. There are no restaurants inside so if you're spending the day, bring some food. They do have ice cream, chips and drinks but nothing else really. Entry price is very reasonable.
Fun little zoo with a variety of animals. Staff were very cheerful and welcoming. We look forward to visiting again.
Fantastic zoo! The grounds are very clean and well kept. We were lucky enough to be there early too see the staff feeding some of the animals. During the morning g when it's not as hot most of the animals are active and the kids loved it. Plenty of picnic tables scattered around the park for lunches. Make sure you spend the 2 dollars for the snacks to feed the wolves and bears. If you want a close up experience with a large wolf... bring the food. Dont forget to see the kids show every 2 hours.
Great place to bring the kids. Get close to a number of species. Educational sessions are great. A solid walk but not so big that the kids wont want to make the trip through the park.
It was nice to hear the wolves howl and lion roar. It's close and a fun way to spend a few hours.
Great for a younger child as it is not too big and you can walk it in under 2 hours. Has a great animal show too.
This zoo is awesome. We had a great time there love all the animals.
Great little zoo with a good variety of animals. Has a lot of potential but could use some TLC, some spots really run down.
I much prefer this zoo over the Toronto Zoo. They have a small goat petting area where kids can also feed them. You are also able to feed the larger animals like wolves by purchasing food at the entrance and throwing the food over the fence. It sounded strange when the employee told us to do that but its true. Animals were very active and making noises. I will be looking into a season pass so we can visit anytime.
Wonderful small zoo. My children loved it there. It's not too crowded so the kids can see each animal well. They have lions, tigers, bears, wolves, zebras, and more! I highly recommend taking your family here.
We had such a nice day at this zoo. There are lots of picnic tables around so we had lunch and walked around and looked at all the animals. There is such a wide variety of animals. The deer come right up to the fence and we feed them. So fun!
Staff was great very helpful and informative
Always a pleasure, the zoo has done a great job helping ensure covid safety protocols were followed, i only wish patrons would do the same and respect space
Great assortment of animals. Paths were is good condition even after a pretty heavy downpour the night before. The shop was fairly light on stock/souvenirs, as expected for being late in the season.
Nice zoo. Bigger space for the animals than other small zoos. Maybe a nice play area for kids. Instead of a small plastic slide. It will make people stay longer and bring people back. We have been once. Probably not again which is unfortunate. The kids had more fun at greenview because of more places for them to run around.
Cute little zoo, with quite a few animals. The map was terrible so you didn't really know where things were but it's small enough to wander around. Some of the enclosures make it hard to see the animals
Worst little zoo. The animals are in unkept cages sitting in their own feces . the bathroom is dirty. The animal show is awful, the host insisted on letting evry single person touch the animals, all a tactic because they are onlt showing u 3 reptiles .petting zoo is so small that you are basically sardined with all goats and their feces. not worth money paid even on groupon.
This is a great smaller sized zoo. They have a small petting area, and lots of different animals. Definitely recommend compared to larger commercial zoos.
Awesome for ALL!!!
Great family fun !!
Loved it the "price is right" great variety of animals , exhibits, rest areas, and bathroom facilities, also free parking. Hey there early, it gets full fast
Nice and comparatively small, animals are treated well, went on fathers day, kids enjoyed well.
Great place to take this kids! Was well set up for safety and social distancing due to covid-19.
Great place for the little ones. Animals are well cared and a good variety. You can be super close to them. The petting animals are so friendly and tame.
Nice small Zoo didn't take too long to see everthing. Enclosures were nicely shaded for the animals. Lots of spots to have a seat and rest.
A really neat little zoo! The animals were actually out and about rather than just hiding away. I personally felt some animals should of had a larger enclosure and maybe some more shade, but a great place regardless
We love the zoo. Easy for the kids too. Lots to see but it's nice and compact.
Amazing price for season passes. Animals are well taken care of and have lots of room to play and roam, their coats are healthy and they don't just sit there. You can run along the fence with the wolves, wish their was food available, staff is amazing, happy, professional, well educated and are there because of their love of animals not just for the pay check. Awesome gift shop and petting the goats is fun.
Took my son here for the first time today and he had a blast! So much space for visitors and the animals. They look really comfortable and happy
Always lots of fun to visit!!
Can't wait to get my season pass
Great value. Well kept. Fun for the whole family
Great value. Well kept. Fun for the whole family
Animals didn't look to happy, but zoo staff looked like they did what they could with what they had. Great for kids, they got to see the lions and the macaques. Defiantly need more funding for the reptiles.
They seem to take really good care with their animals, bigger enclosures than some of the bigger zoo's around.
Great price animals close to see them variety of animals clean friendly staff
Nice little zoo. Good variety of animals. Lots of shade for a comfortable walk on the hottest days.
Great little zoo for the family. The monkeys are nuts and there are birds just roaming around randomly. It's a nice little spot off the back roads.
Great family business. Fun place to visit as a family
The animal education show needs improvement as it sounded more like an inspired PETA speech. The animals are healthy and active.
great little zoo. only downside is lack of parking. by 11am on wednesday the parking lot was full and the lineup of cars to get into the parking lot was at least 50 deep. ... maybe just a lot of people sick of being stuck at home due to covid and excited to get out finally?
This zoo was wonderful as it is perfect for the little kids as well as the adults. The zoo is not too big but yet large enough to keep everyones attention. You can see all the animals close up which is amazing. We spoke with the keepers and you can really tell they care and love their animals here at the zoo. If you are looking for something to do and you don't want the long drive to Toronto, I would highly recommend you visit this zoo. This was the very first zoo visit for my granddaughter and we could really tell that she loved it. I was lucky enough to spend time here with my son, daughter-in-law and our little princess and see her interactions with the goats and dear while she fed them as well as seeing all the other animals...amazing first experience for her and us. Thank you to the zoo and all of it's staff for an amazing time and for doing a great job caring for all these wonderful animals. ????
Nice place but would not recommend to anyone in a wheelchair. Gravel and hills. Very rough pushing.
I feel that some of the animals don't have enough space. I would rather pay more and drive farther than see animals close to home being treated less than they deserve.
The Twin Valley Zoo is a very well-run place that is quite appropriate for young kids. You can do the whole zoo in about 2 hours. They're constantly improving their enclosures and they have great educational programs.
You have to bring your own lunch. Paths are gravel and a lot of uphill, very challenging with a stroller or wheelchair. Most of the animal enclosures were decently sized but I still felt badly for a lot of them.
Absolutely lovely! We were astounded to find the gorgeous animals - lions, tigers, flamingos to mention a few! The park setting is amazing too. Thank you to the owners and staff. We will be back...
Nice place... has zebra, bears, tiger and lions who are mostly sleeping... when we were there the petting zoo food was sold out.. we couldnt feed the animals....
Perfect zoo for little people. Lots of great animals without a ton of walking for the little ones. Good amounts of shade too.
At first i was excited..the trails were closed no one informed us..we paid $50 and it took us maybe a half hr to see everything. .lil pricey...some of the animals are quite skinny and alot of the land and cages and such are old n outdated..i feel like these animals do not have the space they need..although my son enjoyed petting the goats.
Very kid friendly and lots of interesting animals to see as well as feed.
Great place to go with family .Go early to miss the crowds
It was a fun place to see some animals you don't see at the mall. I heard a zoo keeper say the animals were rescues so that made me happy. I don't like seeing them caged just for display like other places.
Amazing price to just go see exotic animals you normally can't see or never do but older owner was a bit rude closer to the close time refused me to buy da goats some food because they were closed and we were the last people but overall great experience
Nice variety of animals for a small zoo
Nice little zoo, great for younger kids. Also has a small playground with sand and toys. Very comfortable Washrooms, also unisex and families.
Amazing place to go! Staff are super friendly! 2nd time going in a week, and just as much fun the 2nd time around!
Excellent place for families with small children. Expect to spend 60 to 90 minutes.
Very nice little zoo. Not as crowded as the Toronto Zoo, but still a variety of animals. They even have some animals I've never seen before! Pretty cheap admission (only about 18 dollars for adults), plus they have senior, youth, and child prices. Love this zoo!
It was a very enjoyable way to spend an hour or so
Love taking my kids here, a great place to go have a picnic
Honestly....in many ways better than Toronto Zoo. Especially if you bring little ones. A lot less walking and crowds. Will definitely be back in the near future.
I recently visited this zoo. It was better than I thought before I went. Its size is very good to young kids and my children enjoyed seeing animals they like.
We had an awesome time, they have lots of healthy looking animals in generously sized pens. Really enjoy the lions roaring in the morning.
Great. Great. GREAT! Great for families, great staff, great owners! Love every visit, keep up the great work!
This place is amazing. Great for young families! Animals are awesome and quite active considering the heat spell. This place is Brant County's best kept secret. I highly recommend the experience.
It's nice bc you can get close to to the animals and can see them well. Perfect for toddlers BC zoo isn't too big. Lots of picnic tables to eat on and you're allowed to bring in your own food. Would be nice if there was a nicer play structure for kids to play on
This is a nice little zoo in the city of Brantford! You get to see some cool animals here (lions, bears, tigers etc). You can circle the entire zoo comfortably within 1.5-2 hours and it is very family friendly, quiet and comfortable. It is also a great option if you want to avoid larger crowds at African Lion Safari or the Toronto Zoo. Unfortunately, the only downside is there are no areas where food is served to have lunch.
Actually not bad. For its size. Good selection
Animals are healthy looking and seem to be in a habitat large enough to accommodate their individual needs. Love the setting, lots of shaded area and room to move.
We enjoyed our trip to the zoo with our 2 year old. Great outing close to home. Animals looked cared for. We brought a picinic lunch as there is only snacks sold at the gift shop where you enter and exit.
Love it! Animals had great habitats and it's a great size to go out for the afternoon. My daughter had a great time.
A great place for a family outing, clean, organized, educational with lots of shade and spots for picnics or to rest. Not too big for small children but we spent a nice afternoon there with a 9 year old. Animals appear well looked after and content.
We had a lovely time. Animals seem really well cared for
Really safe experience with the family, somewhere you can go and be outside without crowds. Take your own water and cold drinks and wear decent footwear, the walking up and down the gravel paths behind the bears will give you a good workout.
Great family outing location. Very reasonable and the owner obviously cares about the welfare of the animals. Lots of great sights.
Great place to take young kids. Everything was close and kept kids entertained.
Amazing, such a well put together little zoo. Large variety of animals. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Amazing place for young children. Can get through the whole park in a couple of hours and many great exhibits
Perfect place for the littles. Our three year old walked the whole thing!
Great place. Thanks Jennifer for the up close tour
I had a fantastic time with the girlfriend and her family! The tiger came right up to the fence line and walked with me! The place was very clean, the staff was very friendly! It wasn't over crowded and the admission fee is a great price! I am looking at getting seasons passes to continue coming back! Kinda wish I became a zookeeper now.... Anyways I would highly recommend! Thank you for another amazing day!
I took my Granddaughter. It was a nice little zoo. My complaint was that parents don't teach their kids to respect the animals. I had to tell a boy not to chase the peacock. Only after that, the father told him not to do it, but of course, he did a lousy job of controlling his kid. If I'd had the authority, I would have kicked them out of the zoo..
Friendly staff. Nice little zoo for kids to enjoy in the Hamilton Brantford area.
Perfect sized zoo for smaller children while still having lots of cool and fun stuff to do. Definitely worth checking out
Nice way to spend a few hours. Great for younger kids. Staff is very nice.
What a great zoo!! It's just the right size with a great variety of animals for younger children. We will most definitely be going back again.
Had fun for an old girl seeing the happiness on the kids faces.. Priceless ????
Really nice little zoo. Good value for the price but a bit too crowded with little to no control for social distancing. Bring your own sanitizer as most of the dispensers were empty.
The zoo is very outdated. They need to invest money into new areas for the animals and revamping the child play area.
Nice zoo for little kids. But some cages are quite small for the animals, and some animals look like they're in rough shape. Felt sorry for some of the animals.
It is okay but for what they have, it is a bit pricy. Parking is free which is nice.

I have mixed feelings about zoos... However, worth visiting. I understand Twin Valley also acts as an animal rescue and refuge. In fact, while I was there with my daughter someone dropped off a duck they were keeping in their house as a pet! They decided they could no longer care for it so took it to the zoo. And if you love goats as much as I do.... Lovely lovely goats!
Great little zoo that's full of wonderful animals and caring staff
We loved this zoo, especially because we have young children. A couple of hours and you can make it through a good chunk of it. Lots of variety of animals, shows to see animals up close and even touch and feed. We loved the goats and the bears.
Great trip to twin valley zoo!
Its a good small zoo for younger kids. We were able to see the whole zoo in an hour. They also had some animal shows and my kids loved it.
100% recommend. Staff were great. They were very personable from entry to exit. Staff were working on enclosures and feeding/watering the entire time we were there. Great to see such dedication to the animals. I injured myself inside the park. Freak accident, don't worry. They promptly provided first aid and gave us a little golf cart tour. My little guy even got a toy at the gift shop... None of this was necessary but it was very much appreciated. Besides all that I couldn't believe how clean the place was. The picnic tables and benches were clean and in good condition. The landscaping was very well maintained. The restrooms were clean. No litter on the ground or in the picnic areas. Even near the big cat inclosures it didn't smell like urine or spray. Paths are well maintained and easy to navigate; great for strollers and wagons. The animals all appeared healthy and comfortable. All in all, I really liked the place. Worth every penny and lots to see! 5stars for this little rural zoo.
A small zoo that takes a morning or afternoon to walk through. Not a lot of walking because it's small, but also big enough for there to be some lions and tigers and bears, but also wolves to see! Our nieces loved the zoo. They had shows twice a day where a show host would bring around snakes and lizards for us to pet.
