We had fun at the zoo! It is a good size for little kids without being too much walking. The animals are close up and engaging (especially if you have popcorn). Great snack bar, lots of trash bins and even cleaner available to wipe down picnic tables made this a clean, safe, experience.

Loved the animals, but I was upset about their living conditions very sad looks on most of the animals, enclosures were dirty. The male & female foxes were not happy, don't know the circumstances to why they were in a zoo, as lots of the other wild animals. I enjoyed talking to them and being with my kids walking through the place and discussing the differences between animal sanctuaries & zoo's. Very interesting & eye opening.

As a veterinary professional I have some concerns. Animals are friendly, very used to humans and docile for children. I noticed a good number had some basic health issues and no one could answer my questions. Popcorn is not a good food to feed animals. Popcorn is dangerous for prolonged eating for anyone. Horrible on the gums and if they're full from all-access Popcorn then are they getting enough good food/nutrients in their diets? Prices seem high for space and available activities. No much to do other than feed them Popcorn. Short pony rides, poor kids seemed bored. Had to pay extra for those too. Food was pretty greasy and pricey as well. Other than friendly animals, was just disappointed.

Great morning had at Oshawa zoo. It was Our 18 months old first time interacting with animals in that manner and he quickly got very comfortable feeding them and very excited to give them popcorn! Quickly upgraded our day pass to a season pass and will definitely be back more regularly to see the happy animals.

This place is fantastic if you have young kids. This is the second year in a row that we’ve bought the seasons pass. It’s well worth it, especially if you go more than once, it pays for itself. There are a ton of animals, the kids love going here. Big open gated areas for the kids to run around. There is a snack bar for burgers and hotdogs. Plenty of garbage cans. Family run and super friendly. They really care about their zoo and the animals. No washrooms. One porta-potty. Decent amount of parking, we’ve always found a spot, even on a busy weekend. It can get busy during the weekends. But never feels overcrowded because of how big and open the area is. Pony rides are available for little ones for an extra $.

This passed Sunday (09/17/2017) me and my 7 years old son had the most wonderful experiences at the Oshawa Zoo.. We really enjoyed our moment there, dedicated staff, great atmosphere, we felt like we were at home. A fantastic experience seen the animal's so close, really felt like a farm plus the scenery. 100% sure I will certainly be back soon before it close for the winter. This farm is GREAT for young kids and toddlers. Animals all looked healthy and well cared for and the staff is very sweet. The price is good considering this is a small family operated business that has to pay to house and feed and care for all the animals. Great way to spend an hour or two on a pleasant day! And there's a pony ride!

Great little zoo for small children. A nice morning or afternoon out. Bring your own water, as there is no access to a drinking fountain. Water bottles are available for $1.25. Lots of picnic tables. A fair amount of shade. Favourites were potbelly pigs, llamas, lemurs, goats, sheep. You can buy a bucket of popcorn at the gate to feed some of the animals

The Oshawa Zoo is a great experience for all ages. The proximity to animals and interactions the children can enjoy is always a great time. Side note, the food is good too for parents.

This is a nice zoo. Extremely wonderful for teaching children about animals. On my visit, I was able feed the animals with either popcorn or raisins, which is nice. The raisins were free but had to buy the popcorn. (Cannot take popcorn from home). I like that it is small enough and safe enough for a young child to walk around, with parents supervision of course. It also has a picnic area where you can rehydrate your child after a good day of seeing the animals. However, it is best to carry your own water or sanitizer to cleanse the ones hands. This is based on the picnic area being the middle of the animals and the sanitizer at entrance. There's also a pony ride for an additional cost and free parking.

This zoo is great. You can buy a plentiful bucket of popcorn for $3 to feed the animals, and get some raisins for the lemurs. You then buy the love of all the animals, the fun doesn't stop even when you run out because you can watch and pet goats walking over the goat overpass, hold the soft hands of lemurs, or pick up baby chickens. Forget any other zoo where you can't get close to most animals, here you can pet them all!

I can't believe how much fun I had as an adult! I highly recommend this zoo! Very hands on you can interact with the animals and feed them too. Looking forward to when my son is old enough to enjoy it and much as I did! Will definitely be going back!!!

Had a great time at the Oshawa Zoo for the first time yesterday! Staff were very nice and everything was very clean and set up for Covid prevention. The animals were so cute and all very friendly. You can purchase popcorn for the animals to feed them and it’s a really fun experience. My son is only 1 but really loved seeing all the different animals and I can’t wait to take him back! We purchased a seasons pass and will absolutely be frequenting the zoo throughout the summer! One thing I will note is while it is kind of like a petting zoo, it doesn’t mean you can just pick up the baby animals or grab them through the fences etc. We saw some children and their parents trying to pick up the free roaming chicks and after being told multiple times to not do so, they reluctantly put them down. It’s not just for the safety of the animals but also to prevent the spread of Covid-19. I want to make sure this little gem stays open all summer so let’s do our best to listen to the staff and enjoy the animals safely and responsibly.

This is one of the most UNDER RATED little gems. It is the cutest little zoo! A treat for all ages and an amazing starter zoo for young kids learning animals. Clean and friendly, we enjoyed celebrating our daughters birthday there today. Not to mention, the food there was out standing, best fries ive Ever had and the prices are beyond fair, I'd suggest going before they realize their true worth and charge what they very easily could. 12\10 family experience today!

I am very pleased with this zoo. The location is perfect, it’s a great size. The animals are well taken care of and are very sociable. I would prefer this zoo over Toronto as it’s much more interactive for the kids. The seasons pass is definitely worth the money. Bags of popcorn for sale at the entrance and there is ample free parking. Staff members are also very pleasant and they have some great eats at the food truck. There’s also a nice section to pull out a blanket for a picnic, or you can make use of their small picnic table section! I’ll be enjoying my summer here.

Great spot to let the kids explore, run, meet the animals and learn. My only wish is that there was more signage about the animals to tell people where they're from, how heavy they get, what they eat. I could look it up on my phone while I'm there, but I'd rather be focused on my kiddos. :) It would be awesome to have it be more of a learning experience.

The best place to bring your little ones in Durham!!! The staff are super friendly and there is so much space for the animals. The entire place is fenced so little ones can explore safely. The seasons pass is very reasonably priced and allows you to come as often as you like and stay as long as you like. I always recommend this gem to anyone with kiddos or even as a fun date activity.

We were first time visitors to the Oshawa Zoo. It is a great place to see the animals up close. They have a lot of animals to see. The kids loved feeding them popcorn (and raisins for the lemers - but do not bring your own as they try to control their diet). The property is much larger than I was expecting, but parking seems to be limited. I would have liked some signage on each enclosure with some information about the animals. Also, the staff with the baby chicks/ducks need to be way more assertive....many children grabbing the birds and mishandling them. Overall, we enjoyed our visit.

This is a great local zoo to take small children for a fun afternoon. My toddler loved seeing the animals close up and she enjoyed having the opportunity to feed them. It's not too far from GTA and the property is small enough for little kids to walk and explore the whole place before getting tired.

Not as large as I thought it would be put perfect for an outting for little kids who enjoy running around and feeding animals popcorn. Really makes you realize that kids enjoy the simple things. I was impressed by the variety of animals and the upkeep of the farm. Parking attendants to organize the cars on the grass was much appreciated! We're super glad that we got the seasons pass because I will be going again.

Good size zoo to kill couple of hours- 3 kids 2 adults approx $60 . You can buy popcorn bags there to feed the animals and pony rides were about $6 for 1 round. I think the pony rode was too short . They have tables to sit and eat with sanitizer spray bottles attached to the tables. They got a small little food place as well with burger starting at around $10. Over all great place to kill time with the lil munchkins .

My daughter and I had such a wonderful time at the zoo. We fed popcorn to all of the animals (sheep, goats, camels, horses and llamas). Perfect outing to a very scaleable zoo that is suitable for all ages but especially younger kids. And the lemurs are amazing! Sociable and outgoing. We wanted to take one home! Will definitely return.

We absolutely love this zoo. We have had memberships for the last three seasons. Great for children of all ages. This is more of a large petting/feeding zoo than a zoo. It's a large farm and all the animals are native to Ontario unlike the Toronto zoo. The animals are very gentle, my one year old feeds all the animals the popcorn and they are very gentle. Since it is more of an open farm, the kids can run around without worry.

My three year old had a great time but this is not a "zoo" it is more like a farm. There were only herbivores animals for viewing no "exotic" wildlife. Also very pricey.

We came here for Mother’s Day and we had a great time. They accept debit at admission and there’s cash back as well. I recommend bringing cash if you want to participate in pony rides and eat from the food stand they have there. Lots of picnic tables so you can bring your own food as well. Lots of animals to see and you get s bucket of popcorn to feed them as well as some raisins for the lemurs. If you go on their website they have a free admission for 1 child! Staff was very friendly and place was well cared for.

A hidden gem in Oshawa! What a great experience. You get up close and personal with these animals, and they are so friendly and gentle if eating popcorn from your hand. Pony ride was great. Was surprised to see some animals there like kangaroos, ostriches, and others. Will definitely be back to visit. Well worth the trip.

Had a great time at the Oshawa Zoo! My daughter loved being able to feed the animals with popcorn. The animals seem to be well taken care of by the zoo, unlike other small zoos I have been to. Wish they had bigger ponies that kids who are over 70lbs could ride, as my daughter was looking forward to riding the ponies, but is JUST over the weight limit.

It's not an overwhelming place for an adult but for the kids especially the little ones it's a great place to go. Would have liked to see some more staff coaching the kids on handling or feeding the animals and a gift shop would go a long way. The BBQ food was pretty good but they definitely need a heat lamp for there fries

Felt sorry for the Baby chickens , they were less than one week old and kids will squeeze them, drop them on the floor, no staff supervision and some kids had no parent supervision. Poor baby chickens tried to hide in the cage but kids will take them out and continue playing with them in a rough way. I can't take animal cruelty and I reported this to a staff member. No change was done and half hour later I reported to the cashier. I know that baby chikends are very sensitive to being touched and too much manipulation will kill them. This matter is animal cruelty and should be addressed by Oshawa zoo management ASAP !

I had an amazing time here. The smallest kangaroo was the only one brave enough to come eat popcorn, and it took a lot of patience to get him to come up , eat and be pet. The only animal that was free roaming were 2 mini sheep all other animals have to be pet through the wire fence.

We love the Oshawa Zoo. It is clean and well kept. There is tons of space for children to run around. The popcorn to feed the animals is cheap and the experience is much different than that of a larger city zoo. I'd recommend this place to anyone. A great little spot in Oshawa for an affordable afternoon of family fun.

Great spot for families with toddlers. It’s evident that the owners made some upgrades to the buildings during the pandemic and the grounds are always well kept. I believe that the use of the iPad to scan your QR code for entry rather than families names written in a big book is also a new feature at the zoo. The food truck style canteen has a good selection if you want to buy lunch there which includes burgers, sandwiches and fries. We always bring a light snack and sit at the picnic tables. Since opening again June 2021 - my opinion Is that it is less entertaining with the new restrictions of not being able to hand feed the animals (my toddlers were told to throw the popcorn to the animals). While there, lots of people were hand feeding the animals and none of the zoo workers seemed to be enforcing the rules stipulated by the front desk. I understand that the health of both the animals and the guests is at the forefront however, the parts of the zoo that were the most engaging for my kids are gone; the baby chicks at the entrance are gone and the raisins for the lemurs are also gone. Heads up, you also have to bring your own bucket for popcorn now or buy a tiny paper bag full. Our total time at the zoo was 1 hour which included the 10 minute line-up (it was the first day they were opened again so imagine that time will come down significantly), walk around the zoo visiting every animal with two toddlers, and a snack at the picnic area.

Such a wonderful place to visit! The zoo/farm has been redesigned to prevent over crowding in any one place. COVID rules are in place and clearly visible. This place is awesome! So many different animals and a great place to take a break in the more rural part of Oshawa! There are lemurs, kangaroos, horses and goats - but my favourite was the deer I saw!! He was so lovely, I wish I knew which kind he was!

Excellent for kids! Took about an hour to see all the animals and kids got to feed them popcorn. They loved seeing the animals up close and could even touch them. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I didn’t see information signs about some of the animals. Went on a Friday and parking lot looked very busy, but visitors were fairly spread out inside the zoo.

Amazing place for kids to experience interaction with farm animals and beyond. A star off for the washrooms and lack of hand-washing facilities- washrooms are only porto-potties (and one was overflowing on our last visit), and there's nowhere to wash hands, even though the zoo has a little food stall that serves burgers, fries, etc. Would be nice if they at least installed portable hand washing stations.

This is one of the most UNDER RATED little gems. It is the cutest little zoo! A treat for all ages and an amazing starter zoo for young kids learning animals. Entry prices and food prices are ridiculous. Bring your own popcorn to feed the animals, and pack your own lunch. If your from out of town don't waste the gas money. Kids could hardly wait to leave as there was nothing else todo after the 15 minute walk thru to see the animals.

Great for toddlers but older kids will find it boring. A good collection of "mundane" animals (ponies, goats, oxen, etc) and a cool collection of less common animals (lemurs, peacocks, wallabies). You can purchase popcorn to feed the animals. It's super sunny, so dress appropriately with hats and sunscreen.

It was the outdoor temporary type of washroom and didn’t look maintained. Something else was the food. There wasn’t a lot of variety. I’ll advise bringing your own food along. Absolutely nlove the Oshawa zoo and all the amazing people who run it, it's a really fun place to go with Family and friends and an all around good time. If you go often you can make bonds with some of the animals (I personally have a bond with the fattest pig who tools over for belly scratches when he sees me)! I 100% recommend.

Lovely little zoo. Kids (2 and 4 year olds) loved being able to feed and pet the animals at the zoo. If it wasn’t so far from home, I would have purchased a season’s pass. The animals all look healthy and well cared for. Facilities are clean and accessible for strollers/wagons. Plan to spend 30-60min here.

This is the cutest zoo ever! It is a lot cheaper and so much more better than the Toronto Zoo - it’s seriously a hidden little gem. You have lots of different types of farm animals and some exotic ones too. They give you some popcorn to feed the animals and it is such a nice experience for the kids! It’s a must-go if you have little kids!

This zoo is cute. In the north area of Oshawa is this quaint little place. It's fun to interact with almost all the animals. You can buy popcorn to feed the animals, except for the lemurs which they will give you raisins. There are over 100 animal species ranging from regular petting zoo animals to exotics. Admission is very cheap for a family and a family season pass is less than $100. If you are out in the Durham area, check this place out. Fun for the whole family.

A small zoo with many animals mostly from Southern Hemisphere. Plenty of Kangaroos were there as well. You get to touch the animals and feed them. Food to feed the animals also sold there, just the pop corns. It wasn’t crowded at the time I visited (last week of September). It costs $16 for adult a d $13 for children.

I cautiously like this place. I am waiting to hear of horrible things that go on there only because bowmanville zoo soured me. I have seen nothing and ever though. The animals seem healthy a d well cared for. My kids enjoy it. My only concern is the nutritional value of popcorn. I am assuming they get "real food" before and after hours. Also a specific sheep seems to be wearing down its wool and skin by pushing through the wire fence. Will be returning though as it is aa lovely place

It was our first time at this zoo and we already enjoyed it very much. Lots of space for my toddler to run around and lots of different animals to see and interact. My wife and I thinks this is better than going to the Toronto zoo for various reasons. #1 its more interactive because you can feed the animals #2 you have much more room for children to walk and run around #3 Because its a family run zoo, I feel that i'm supporting a family and animals more than just there looking at animals. #4 Its really clean inside which is extremely important during times like these. Overall my experience was amazing and I will definitely bring my kid back there whenever I can. Keep up the good work!

Went here recently, me and my wife decided we would each get a season pass, but not one for our daughter since she was still free until she turned 2 at the end of May. They would not allow this because they assumed we would lie about her age on all of our return visits to get her in for free. I thought that was weird because when they asked when her birthday was and I gave them an honest answer, they didn’t trust that we would pay for her after 2 years of age, I could have easily lied and said she turns 2 in November. By default a company should trust its customers. Also there isn’t much more than your average farm animals here, and it is hard to navigate with a stroller. Will not be returning.

More like a FARM than a zoo - but it was nice! I recommend it for the younger ones only (under 7). We went around in just over an hour. Feeding the animals was fun - 1 or 2 bags of popcorn will definitely be enough. Im glad we went but not sure we would go again any time soon.

Yesterday was our first time visiting the Oshawa Zoo and we loved it so much. I'd choose here over the regular zoo anyday. A lot of green space with a designated picnic area. You can get up very close to the animals. The description boards outside each enclosure was very informative. My 1-year-old had a blast feeding the baby goats. The food truck had a lot of delicious options and the staff is very nice and friendly. Great place to take children, price is so worth it.

In all the years I've lived in the area, THIS was my first time there! The animals are all so friendly! Or, could it be that really enjoyed the popcorn that we said yes to when we paid for our entry! Lol! Signs were clearly posted everywhere of which animals we were not allowed to feed as well as reminders for Social Distancing. Although not needed, we wore our masks the entire time. We could see that a few other customers did the same. We were able to see; goats, sheep, maras, kangaroos, peacock, horses, deer, donkeys, ponies, rams, reindeer, llamas, lemurs, pigs, ducks and chickens. (If this zoo had monkeys I probably wouldn't have left!) Great first-time experience and I could see us coming back!

Overall, the experience was okay. Here are some things I wish they changed: -All the animals were being fed BUCKET loads of popcorn (the farm sells them to customers who then toss them at the animals). And sadly, the animals seemed more attracted to the popcorn than their own food (grass). I seriously doubt giving them popcorn is healthy to begin with since it isn’t a food they naturally consume. my response to the owner: treats are given sparingly, not in bucket loads. -Some of the animals, such as the sheep and lamas, had VERY dirty coats. It seems as though they have not been brushed or cleaned for awhile. The zoo needs to work on improving the caretaking of these animals. The images speak for themselves.

I have been to this zoo a couple times and decided to get a membership so I could go with my 1.5 year old niece throughout the summer and fall. The membership cost is great, the location is convenient and the zoo is really nice. And they have a food truck onsite! Lots of animals to see and it's all grass, so safe for young ones to run around to check everything out. Stop by for a visit if you're in the area!

This place provides almost weekly entertainment for my toddler. He loves feeding the popcorn to the animals. From start to finish we are usually there for just under an hour, which is perfect. I like how they recently added information fact signs about some of the animals.

Great experience fair prices, the staff were all friendly, great vibe, good mix of locals and tourists. The food was bbq faire and made to order. Great selection of animals, the animals were all incredibly friendly and most of them can be fed popcorn. There is 25 cent vending machines along the route for additional treats for the animals. The kids all seemed to be having an absolute blast. Just beyond the entrance there is a selection of handcrafted consignment goods, very good quality, and beautiful. They also have a bunch of chicklings in an open air that can be interacted with, great way to start the fun. Would definitely return soon.

Oshawa Zoo mostly consists of farm animals. My kids enjoyed it. They are selling popcorn to feed the animals. They had Kangaroos, Goats, Horses, Pigs, Chickens, Lama and many more animals. Good for a two hour kids fun.

The entrance fee seems reasonable enough but to much for what you get. Washrooms where totally disgusting my grandchildren where nearly sick from the smell totally unreasonable to expect anyone to use them. A playground for children would be good and some kind of leaflet saying where things are. Animals did not look in good condition to me. Would not go again.

Great place for the smaller kids. Teens will get board. It is basically an oversized petting zoo. Not really many exotics. You can feed all of the animals, and even hold some chicks. There are no bathrooms only port-a-pots, and the paths are not paved

Staff are friendly, but wish they could walk around and supervise the area, especially with the animals that are towards the back. If you live near by, this is a great place for kids to pet/feed animals. It's especially good for younger kids, since everything is close by and there's minimal walking (compared to Toronto zoo). However the diversity of animals is far less than the Toronto zoo of course, it's more like a farm than a zoo.

Lots of animals to be found; the rarest one is the kangaroo. My first time seeing a baby kangaroo sleeping in mom's pouch from a few feet away! This is a feeding and petting zoo where they will give you a bucket of popcorn to feed the animals for a few dollars. Yes, it is much easier to pet the animals when they love the popcorn! lol!

It's more like a petting farm than a zoo. Over priced for the size of it and lack of other activities, we were in and out in an hour including lunch time. Also had to pay extra for over priced popcorn to feed the animals, and pony rides $6 each for a one minute walk around the track. There are better options out there for about the same cost and without the exorbitant fees.

I have been to this Zoo a few times and it was nice but I went today Thursday May 24 th at around noon and 2 of the workers where re-filling the popcorn kernal machines that you feed the animals thats when I saw 1 of the girls spit in the llamas face but I also saw a sheep with and injured leg and pigs in the heat with no water.

Animals here are being fed popcorns and raisins. It doesn't matter these items are organic and unsalted. That can't be a good diet for all the animals available at this place. It was more of a large petting zoo in a sectioned off farm. In 3 hours I have been there, I didn't see anybody coming out to tend to the animals and some of their water buckets were bone dry. Baby chick petting interactive session was unsupervised by the staff. Uneducated adults and children were handling them at will, that their handling was killing these chicks. Or they selected weak chicks who are about to die for this purpose, which poses very different set of questions. This is not a zoo. It's thinly veiled animal abuse.

This is a good place if you're close by. You get to interact with lots of animals who are sweet and gentle. My only concerns were the lack of any staff throughout and no hand sanitizing stations (we always carry some but its nice to have access), and a goat did get out. No one was around to put it back in the pen.

Wonderful place to take a 6 year old! The whole park is outside, parking is free and the entry fee is very reasonable. I really didn't feel scalped at all, like you do in some places. A bag of two of popcorn from the entry booth means you can feed most of the animals by hand or from the bag and my son loved that! The pony ride was another highlight and well worth the extra $6 on top of the entry fee. There's also a shack selling fries, hot dogs etc and picnic tables to bring your own lunch. Literally the only thing missing was a gift shop, but I liked that - no pressure to buy plastic stuff, just good clean farm fun and it added to the feeling that the staff were just happy to share their farm rather than out to make $$ off us!

Well this is a farm. Not a zoo persay.. its very large.. u can feed the animals popcorn u buy at th3 front entrance. They do have normally baby chick's u can pick up and handle. But due to covid they got removed and pony rides. But eventually I'm sure they will all return. It's a very large farm they are behind the fences but.. u can 100% pet them. Touch and feed them. I love this place. But more with the chick's and pony rides. It's a mellow place.. great. One for small kids to age 10..

HORRIBLE PLACE!!!! Animals were very unkempt, all put in random enclosures together (ostriches and swans with peacocks and chickens??) all the animals had diarrhea from the workers selling popcorn for the animals and they had not a single worker helping the unattended children handle baby chicks. A bunch of baby pigs got out because the enclosures weren't probably made and the horses seemed very aggressive/ angry and had uneven ground with nowhere to roam or run!!

The best place to let your kids learn and have fun in a safe open area. Perfect way to spend a summer day, pack a picnic or buy some of their yummy food. We personally LOVE their popcorn when we go! They have a wide variety of animals to pet and feed popcorn to. Highly recommend buying their season pass, it's worth it!

The Zoo was amazing - very interactive, large space so even though it was busy it didn’t feel overly crowded. Followed all Covid 19 Guidelines. Only disappointing thing was the meal I purchased from the Chip Truck on the property. The portion for what you paid was incredibly disappointing.

Nice little petting zoo with LOTS of different animals. When you pay for the entrance, you are given a bucket of popcorn to feed the animals. You are also given a few raisins to feed the lemurs. Warning! The lemurs are extremely cute and fuzzy and will alsi take the raisins from your hands, which is amazing. In this zoo, you can also hold small, cute chicks in your arms! There are food options available here as well and the workers here are very nice! Overall, such a great experience at the Oshawa Zoo! Will 100 percent come back again!

It's a nice little place that is basically just a huge petting zoo. Mostly farm animals with pretty large enclosures (even if they all hang around the fence for the chance at eating popcorn). There are a couple of exotic animals (lemurs, kangaroos).

It's a great spot for a quick visit. There isn't much signage about the animals and can be a little hard to navigate a stroller, at times, but overall it's a family, friendly place. Popcorn to feed the animals is available for purchase.

Smooth check in process, great quality popcorn for the ... animals (kids also) to snack on. So clean and well maintained. Great open area and I see that people bring their own picnic blankets to hang out. There are many picnic tables closer to the centre of the zoo and a food truck that does a great grilled cheese.

The Oshawa Zoo is absolutely perfect for a young family. There's so much outdoor space to spread out and picnic or let the kids run (mostly grass covered). The staff are all so friendly and the Food Truck has yummy stuff. We loved the new signage at each exhibit with cool information about the animals.

Fantastic zoo for little kids. My 4.5 year old had a great time feeding and petting the animals. They were very gentle and didn't have any issues with nipping or biting. Popcorn is sold at the gate to feed the animals, and a hand full of raisins for the Lemurs (since they aren't to be fed popcorn). Would highly recommend it for little ones.

All of the animals are very friendly and the area is very child friendly. There are many seating areas and all of the animals have a lot of room to wander around. They also have pony rides for $6. Adults are $15 and kids are $11. I recommend you buy the popcorn to feed the animals which are $3 a bucket

I remember going to The Oshawa Zoo when I was a little girl and so I decided to take my 8 yr old son for his last day of summer vacation. He went in kindergarten with his class and had fun but this time he was much more engaged in reading about the animals and as a lover of all animals he was most happy to see the Kangaroo’s and Lemur’s as well as the Emu’s. The whole place was very clean (considering it’s a zoo), staff was very friendly and offered help when they noticed you standing there with a question mark over your head lol and helpful they were! Animals were awesome! Hand sanitizer smells GOOD!! lol My son gave it ???????????????? ???? We will be back, year after year, as a back to school tradition (my son decided that will be our new tradition! ????) Thank you so much for a great experience ????Ashley and Robert

Pretty neat to get to see animals up close. Great for little kids. More animal variety than I expected, and it's nice to walk around in good weather. Could maybe use some additional things like a kids playground or guided tour/wagon ride. Some of the animals do not have signs to tell you what they are.

We went back in September. I had my 2 month old in a carrier and it was great. Ifs all outdoors, and there are alot of different animals even kangaroos! You get popcorn to feed the animals and a few raisins each to feed to only the lemurs. (They have to control their feedings but the organic plain popcorn you can get a bucket and feed to the rest). Will be going back again!

Been here twice so far in the 2021 season. The animals are friendly. The space is vast with lots of room for picnics. I have 2 issues with this place. One is the owners smoke on the grounds right around the children. Our very first experience was a gentleman wearing a cowboy hat directing traffic in the parking lot while smoking and today another gentleman was smoking in the pen where the dogs are right beside the lineup of children. I definitely did not appreciate my baby and toddler being exposed to the smoke. It’s not safe and shouldn’t be happening. My second issue is there is zero enforcement of covid rules. There is an occasional sign stating to social distance however hardly anyone is wearing masks and large groups from different families are huddled around each other feeding the animals. It seems like a opportunity to become a covid breeding ground. I wish there were staff there to enforce the rules as it would make it much safer and more enjoyable for those of us that are following covid protocols.

Our 18 month old loved it here-and it was free for him! The animals appear well-looked after, the staff are friendly and it's a great size for just letting your kids run around on their own without having to worry about crowds or having them get lost. We'll definitely be going back!

Family friendly for younger children. Farm like setting with fencing around every animal. Entrance fee was a little expensive, but my grandson got in free as he is 15 month's old. For 3$ you can buy a small plastic bucket of popcorn to feed the animal's which i think could be factored into the price of adult admission. Snack bar could be much better. Parking is free.

It's fantastic for families. More of a farm than a zoo. You can feed the animals, ride ponies and hold the chicks. Very interactive. Mostly contains goats, ostriches, camels, kangaroos, lemurs, horses, in a beautiful country setting.

Fun place for toddlers and kids. Lots of goats, sheeps, pigs you can hand feed with the popcorn they provide. There are meerkats and baby chicks too. Huge place kids can run freely, it's in a gated area, don't have to worry kids running off. Only thing is there are only portable toilets there.

We enjoy Oshawa Zoo every year. The kids love feeding popcorn to the animals and raisins to the lemurs. It's always a bonus when a goat rides the slide. It's such a beautiful way to interact with all the animals. The grounds are well kept. Staff are super friendly and funny.

We needed a place to stop to feed my youngest child who is still breast fed. Apparently we stopped at the Oshawa Zoo. My other kids were quite happy to see the baby pigs and hear the rooster but we're scarred away by the ostrich. I'm sorry we didn't pay for our 15 minute stop and go but on a 5 hour drive to the cottage every 15 minutes of calm is priceless.
