(Translated) I was very impressed with the beauty of the house, the buildings and the property and especially the view of the Miramichi River. However, it would be preferable, in my opinion, to place the picnic tables and tents a little further out on the ground to ensure the possibility of photographing the places without these clutter. Cependant, il serait préférable, à mon avis, de placer les tables de pique-nique et les tentes un peu plus éloignées sur le terrain pour assurer la possiblilité de photographier les lieux sans ces encombrements.

What a treasure! Tucked away off the road, sits this charming 200+year-old heritage home, containing many artifacts and pieces original to the site. The house, outbuildings and property are so well kept. The admission building is just off the parking lot, visible from route 11. Small interpretation area, giftshop and washrooms. Visitors are taken by wagon to the site. In 2018, the driver was very charming and the owner the team of horses. The farm has a selection of animals, and there is access to the beach. Summer students offer a tour of the house, which is bright but cool and contains so much history. Plan at least 1.5 hours.

We drove all the way out to the farm after calling and making sure it was open only to find everything closed up. Please update your phone message. What a waste of vacation time.

It was the last day it would be open but it was ok to see how this Scotsman lived back in the 1800s
