Je comprends que les gestionnaires veulent que nous en ayons pour notre argent et que les animaux ne soient pas toujours cachés, mais la plupart d'entres eux (ormi les phoques et les ratons-laveurs) semblaient stressés. En particulier le harfang des neiges qui étaient dans une volière grosse comme un petit cabanon. Je trouvais ça triste de le voir paniquer sitôt qu'il entendait le mini-kart des employés arriver et il n'avait aucune cabane pour se cacher. Il avait très mauvaise mine, ne semblait pas en santé. Pareil pour le corbeau. Il pouvait se percher dans un arbre, mais était à la vue de tous les côtés. Les tortues avaient de vraiment petits terrarium elles aussi. Je crois qu'un aussi grand parc et payant, devrait avoir à disposition des terrariums plus grand que ceux que l'on trouve en animalerie. Quand une tortue est grosse comme la moitié de son terrarium ce n'est pas normal. Je comprends que ce n'est pas un zoo , mais ces animaux ne sont pas des objets. Les cariboux avaient un enclos correcte, mais qui manquait d'arbre. Les cerfs de virginies se grattent les bois où, si les arbres sont protégés par des grillages afin qu'ils ne s'y frottent pas? Cette journée là il faisait très chaud, les animaux manquaient d'ombres.

Nicely made. Staff very friendly , helpful and knowledgeable. Very happy to answer anyone's questions (even though it's 100 times the same ones im sure). If you see something that you wonder about (why the animal seem to have fur missing? Why is the cage do small? Why does she seem to turn in circle?) don't make your own conclusion and ask their staff they really seem to put a lot of thoughts on the animal wellbeing and will have an explanation (for example : the owl has a small cage but she has a missing wing and can only walk so there is no point giving here 50feet high of flying space is it!) Also they will be happy to tell you the animals are born in captivity and that they do have programs for rescue /orphan to try to prepare them for nature release but it just doesn't always work.

I mean if you have kids then you should bring them to the zoo but for the adults travellers I wouldn't recommend to stop over to visit the place. there is an entry fees of $25/person. This was a great activity. The visit is definitely worth the admission, the animals are nearby, humanely treated, and engaging. We watched artic foxes play, a bull moose walked straight up to us, a cougar played around in the grass a few meters in front of us, and a turkey kept displaying his feathers. The site is clean, the walk is just long enough, and the signage is informative and clear. Great spot!

It's a bit small, but nice place to visit with kids - everything is close, not crowded. It looks like it is also hard to maintain - everything is pretty clean, but feels dated. Enjoyable board walk, more shade would be welcome by visitors and animals. The animals were all active during our visit and the enclosures are well equipped. It is easy to see the animals up close.
