Travis Standen

Great place for the kids. Lots of local wildlife to see. Unfortunately, pandemic times has limited the variety of animals at the park. It is still a good place to spend some time and have a relaxing afternoon.

Guillaume Jallon

If you want to see some local animals from up close, go there! Lots of interactive stuff for kids as well, they will love it for sure.

Kyle Ross

Awesome family experience, had a great afternoon

Dunk Storr

It was nice to see the animals, which ended up being the only wildlife we saw on our trip unfortunately. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can get a discount if you stay at the campground next door.

T Mac

The park is always a place of serenity and we got to see Clover. Clover is the Kermode/Spirit Bear. The paths are marked for social distancing and it is a great attraction. Everything was vibrant and beautiful. Bring big spray and sunscreen as it is hot and buggy. The good news is the water park is on to cool you down.

Pam Levenstein

Please take the time to go check it out! The animals are well cared for. We enjoyed our time

R-Rahaman Raza

Very cool place to go with family and friends. Wide variety of wildlife available for viewing with bits of information on them provided. Excellent for taking younglings on an educational tour.

Mary Moore

My family and I love the wildlife park. My kids love learning about the animals and learn new things everytine we come

Nathalie Ellix

Nice place to spend time outdoors while seeing animals. Very big and lots to see for the price. They also have great information boards on all their tenants. Feels a bit like a retirement home in some cases (especially the birds of prey exhibit) which was sad. Overall very clean and perfect for the whole family. Lots of space to walk around and stroller friendly.

Henry Xu

The Kermode bear is amazing! The female coyote looked at us eye to eye, what a magical feeling. Cannot imagine how fun it is to watch the pig eats until we see it! Just wondering where the cougar went, didn't see her maybe she was too shy!

Eric W

Wonderful small zoo!! Mostly local animals, but a few from other countries.

Sean Glendinning

Always a pleasure to visit. I felt like the lights were much brighter and there seemed to be new displays this year. I love the new hut by the fire pit as well

Allison Knights

This is always a great place to spend time - lots to see and do and they have one of my favourite gift stores. Having the playground is great for the young ones to burn off some energy.

Keivan Abdollahpour

It's a good place for kids amusement

Stefan Riebow

watched the wild nights, must say was little dissapointed same price as if can see the animals, but couldnt. mostly closed. little sad.

Karlyn Harfoot

Winter time so not all awake. The eagles and cougars worth the visit. Love to do again in spring.

The Keisarion

Loved it!!!! The little dinner was awesome great food. The park was fantastic. The employee's where very helpful. The gift shop very reasonable. Thanks for a great time.

Todd Avison

Wild Lights was incredible! They have really taken it up a notch. So much fun for the kids. A Kamloops Christmas tradition.

Mikayla Farnsworth

Dont go when it's raining, that's when I went and most of the animals were hiding, but it was still a lot of fun!

T Vezina

Was so happy to come here, plus the train ride was awesome Haha! What a great place to explore

Robert Hale

Every year they put on a Christmas lights display and it's an awesome family event for all ages. You can ride the mini train, walk about viewing the lights, get a hot chocolate and hot dog and sit by a campfire or have a few laughs with Chris the Clown. Don't forget to stop by the gift shop for all kinds of treasures. This is an excellent alternative to your typical company Christmas party.

Paolo Hurtado

Always good and prices are way too cheap for what they provide. Definitely worth the trip alone, with friends and/or family. Maybe treat it as a date if you want

Yvette Lu

There are a lot of interesting animals to see here. Some of them have large enclosures so be mentally prepared not to see every animal. We saw the grizzly bears but not the black bears or the kermode bear. The raptors were amazing with numerous eagles and owls.

Taryn B

The animals were amazing. The bear seemed to smell every new person from a distance which was fun to watch. I’m glad the eagles were saved from injuries and being cared for. Grounds are on a slope heading into the back of the park; wasn't sure about the waterfall/hike in the back but it's a good reason to go again!!

Radek Kobylka

Coolest "zoo" I have ever visited. It's actually an animal refuge for injured and abandoned animals. You'll see a lot of amazing local wildlife that would not be able to take care of itself in the wild and are taken care of here. Great place to visit and be sure to see the grizzlies.

Tathianna Yelland

Thank you to the BC wildlife park for creating a wonderful environment for our family on Father’s Day !

James Thwaites

This is a great zoo. Because of Covid a lot of the shows and such were not going but if I lived in town I think I would buy a year pass. If I had a kid I definitely would!

Okke 'Dooder

Went for the Wild Lights, they were fantastic, even on a rainy night

Sara-Jane Niblock

Went to the holiday event (Wildlights) so much family fun! Definitely a new tradition :)

Kari heinrichs

Lots of good sights! All kinds of animals.

Sheena Craig

My toddler loves it here. Lots to see and they update little Interactive areas for kids inside. Animals are well taken care of. Fav part is every year they do wildlights at Xmas, it is so pretty and fun!

Kim Logan

Great place to take the family. Educational. They rehabilitate wildlife and release animals ad well as care permanently for many. We love visiting all year long

Tim Conrad (timsbits)

Love the place, it is a great spot for a family to spend some time. The grizzly bears are by far the best entertainment most days, besides the amazing miniature train (fully volunteer run). They have made many nice upgrades to the park in recent years. We are lucky to have this in Kamloops. I find some of the staff - particularly the front counter and store - to be so quiet and lacking interaction, that they come across as disliking their job and rude at times.

Darcy Gropp

Saw wildlights and as always, it is a very enjoyable experience and event

Savannah Whyte

Amazing place if you love animals. Super educational

Kun Z

A great place to go all seasons! They also have Christmas lights so you can visit them in Winter.

Rene J Hueppi

For nearly two decades we recommend this unique park to all our guests travelling on the Trans Canada to meet animals they might not see on their trip. Our son Tobias (had stayed at the sanctuary near Smithers too) also learned about First Nations (music). Bravo to owners and staff! Rene, Mulvehill Creek Wilderness Inn and Wedding Chapel, Revelstoke

Liv

Friendly and welcoming. They were happy to help us bring in an injured bird and let us call for updates on him.

Tina Lee

Here you can take a little train, you can brush the sheep , there is not much animals, but all animals are looks healthy

Ty Thacker

Love this place. I rescued a great horned owl that had a broken wing about 6 years ago. They fixed it and released it back into the wild. Also great place to visit if your in kamloops

vickie gould

We stopped in on our way through town. It was a pleasant park and I really enjoyed what they are doing for the injured wildlife. The park is well laid out and we had minimal issues seeing all the animal enclosures. The only enclosure that could benefit from accessibility upgrading would be the camel. Walking through the playground on gravel can be problematic for individuals with mobility issues.

Vicky Huang

Today was hot and at the begging was a little bit of like I can't see the Bob cat and I couldn't see well the fox ... But when you go and see the bears the elks the deers the moose's and eagles and owls you got an amazing surprise and the …

Lyle Boudreau

Huge area for kids to run and play (dedicated climbing structures, petting zoo, spray park area). Places to picnic, friendly staff and a train that tours around to boot. Wonderful for any age. More agile toes needed to get up to see the waterfall path at the far end. Loved it.

Elinor Wright

We had a wonderful time and made some great memories with our 11 year old granddaughter. She loved the encounter with the owl. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. I would go again and would tell other. There is lots to do including a very nice train ride and play area.

Chelsea Herrmann

The animals are so cute and there's so much to do here. Waterpark and playground. Train ride etc. So fun

Tim Rodgers

This is a nice way to experience the Wildlife of BC. We saw bears, Elk, Wolves, wolverines to name a few.

Kathleen McIntosh

Took my granddaughter as I used to take my kids every year. It was amazing as usual. My granddaughter is 17 months and the volunteers threw eggs close to her so she could find them easily. She loved the train only one ride wait. We will be back.

Ranjeet kaur

I came here second time.Great for kids .

Brian Ayotte

Great place to go and see some cool wildlife. They have it set up very well. Would recommend visiting.

Chad Purdy

Its smaller and non profit. Summer is better for viewing animals. Winter is good around wildlights time at xmas. Limited animals but still lots for young kids. Train on site, waterpark, play area and a small creekside nature hike are all options

Pez Cuckow

A must visit if you're in the Kamloops area. There's a surprising amount of rescued animals here and plenty to do. Great Kamloops gift shop too!

Jaspreet Sandhu

Less to see. But it was good overall.

Sarah Bailey

Such an amazing addition to Kamloops. Education and conservation are top of mind. Staff are fun, friendly and knowledgeable. Greasy space for a day walk, excellent for families with our without children.

Shayla Dalton

Very awesome place to take kids, adults and seniors! Very informative. They take injured animals as well. I brought a hurt crow today and they were very welcoming! :)

Samantha Knox

I loved walking through this place. We came on a Friday when it was fairly empty which was great for the two hours we spent here. It was a bummer that we didnt see the Kermode bear, but hopefully another time! It was awesome learning about all the ways that the BC Wildlife Park is helping to sustain and rehabilitate the wildlife populations of BC. I feel great supporting an organization like this. As an aside, the porcupine feeding we watched was too cool and very educational.

Teresa Watalla

Always love going to the wildlife park

lynn patchett

No shade anywhere, some if it looks a bit run down and some of the animals do too. Expensive for what it is, would not really recommend.

Melly N

The enclosures are well laid out so you get to see most of the animals. I really enjoyed my visit. I would like to see signs explaining how the animals came to be at the park next time.

Jesse Hunt

Great spot and our absolute fav stop. But noticed some amazing pins they have when you first walk through the entrance assumed they would be sale in the gift shop. And nothing. Not even sold out but just not available. Why tease us with such awesome pins. Not for sale. LOL.

Hardstuck Jett 3

D A N K P O R C U P I N E S. Also the gyms and pokestops are placed right by some seating. makes it super nice

Joanne Phillips

Well worth the price of admission. By going, you indirectly feed all the wonderful animals. Nice clean healthy way to get outside and go for a beautiful walk accompanied by wildlife! All seasons, just as great!

Brian Davies

Very nice walk to see the animals. There is a train, but we wanted to walk . I think you see more.

Brian Davies

Kelsi Steen

They are a well run organization and always have fun events going on

Benjamin Kason

Cool experience, beautiful animals and informative. With or without kids a cool place to visit and enjoy.

Laura Dion

We've passed by so many times visiting family in Chase, finally we stopped and we can't wait to come back!

Cameron Lang

Very cute. Happy to know that most of the animals are rescues. Great date spot, but make sure to go early.

JoAnne Adamson

We have a great time every visit. The staff are very friendly a s knowledgeable.

Tyler Kennedy

Lots of North American animals you can see up close! Cuddly rattlesnakes! Occasionally a porcupine! Some elk!

Malerie Rusk

Cute place to go with your family

Anjali Purohit

This place disappointed me a little. I was expecting to see what's their wildlife is all about, sadly very few animals. Overall experience was good and sweet train ride took me back to my good old childhood days.

Lynn

very cool except the water park was closed because it was too hot? It it was 38 degrees we needed it.

Jesse McCallum

Small zoo, but intimate. Up close view of many local animals

Andrés Claro

A very sad place. Terrible conditions for the animals. No trees for the animals. The bears had no trees. The black bears were blonde from all the sun exposure. Sad.

Rachel Young

Whole family enjoyed themselves even though it rained for most of our visit. Kids were able to occupy themselves at the play area while we waited out the rain.

Viktorija SB7

Always a great time at the wildlife park ????

Dallas

Absolute great little spot to see wildlife

Ricki Andrews

Great local place to visit. Kids always love it! Splash park is a nice addition for the summer time.

Nena

Peaceful beautiful park, loved all the animals. We took the train which was also super fun. This park is very family friendly

Eleonora VI

Perfect place to explore with family. Fun for kids and adults. There is a playground, water park and small petting zoo. Due to pandemic some activities are temporary not available.

Sobia Noreen

The entire park is nicely decorated with lights. If you want to go for train ride come prepare to stand in a long line.

Kate Dobni

Great place to take the kids or to go on a day trip. Lots of animals and great spacious exhibits. Lots to do and see. Plus it helps educatethe public on wildlife.

Leanne Karella

Hubby and I on a weekend trip. Spent about 3 hrs here. We loved it. The rehab animals are beautiful and well cared for. Highly recommend. Great family place. Rates were reasonable.

Surrey Handyman

We are huge animal lovers. Love this place and the falconer.

Keith Sukut

Over 1 million lights. Well worth seeing. I can't say enough about the experience this year to do it justice. With the snow ❄ on the ground it is something special.

Eric Viklund

Kermode Bear put on a great show for us at feeding time. Grizzly bear enclosure large with ponds to cool off the animals. Laughed at the antics of a black bear in its pool. Excellent layout. Great educational tool for kids and adults alike.

Genieve Colville

They also had a cafe place to eat, gift shop.. about two hours start to finish,

Tex Seeley

Just there for the bears

Ting Fung Yip

Very educational, will probably come back in the summer since most of the large animals were hibernating

Noel G

What a great place! The animals were very healthy and happy looking and the enclosures were large and well maintained. The food was good and there were lots of shady rests along the way.

Alexandra Coombs

Well kept. Animals look happy and healthy. They definitely understand how to maintain the premises even under these unusual times. Very friendly staff. Will go again when visiting kamloops

Patrick Pracht

Very nice

Reg Nordman

More of a wildlife sanctuary for injured and orphans It's a good educational place for kids. The pricing reflects the good work being done, vs rare sights.

Damian Black

This place is a must see. Strongly recommend a morning start to see animals fresh before the midday heat. Had lunch here and food was great too. Explore inside to see bees and other animals and take a ride on the miniature train!!

Lilah Petterson

Fun for all ages, we love Betty bee ????

Andrew Morrison

Great family experience.

Almeda Getty

They have animals that would not survive in the wild. It was amazing to see artic wolves, a spirit bear and a bobcat walking around.

Kris Upjohn

So many animals and so interesting. Especially about how they give the bears garbage cans to product test them. Also the pin program for kids is a real win.

Jamie Thorsteinson

This place is a lot of fun, especially for the kiddos. Many animals to see with high value education in wildlife. The kids always have a blast. The staff here is excellent. Super knowledgeable, inviting and friendly. If you’re in the area with your family I highly recommend you check this place out. The kids will never forget it. Awesome for capturing unforgettable moments, you will not regret it.

Ray Hewitt

Perfect for any age honestly

Nick Rules

It was a great activity for all ages! The light displays were very creative. Much more to see in the summertime.

brad laliberte

Awesome place take your children you get to see all the wild animals see a moose and a grizzly bear pretty cool

Emery Giesbrecht

Nice place to take a walk and enjoy local wildlife. Great for the kids. Mine love it!

Anton Strong

Nice small zoo and animal rescue. If you're unlucky, many animals could be hiding out of sight. Usually there's a small train run by volunteers but wasn't running the days we visited this time. Some physical distancing and staff wore masks.

Blake Carstensen

Been there a few times it's okay . Not as quality of the facility but I'm sure it's hard for small little kamloops to compete against places like Calgary and Vancouver. was disappointed to find on Christmas Eve when we showed up late that there was no train no hot chocolate etc. would have expected the front staff to give us a heads up as that's part of the experience when we go there around Christmas time.

Kelsey Tobin

I've come here many times over the course of my life so maybe nostalgia is a factor but I love this wildlife park. It's reasonably priced and most of the animals are usually out to see instead of hiding away in their cages. It's also highly informative with lots of fun facts scattered throughout the paths, I'd recommend it as a great family activity, date idea or just to go learn a little and check out our wildlife.

Lori Zacharuk

This place is magical. Always a friendly staff member, Service with a warm smile. I fell like a kid again when we visit the park!

Brandyn Steele

Great family place! Loved the birds of prey show and the grizzly bears! Can't wait to come back to see the Spirit bear!

Tanny Sachdeva

Not so much to see or enjoy.. one time visit is ✅

Kyle Christiansen

This is a great attraction, animals were amazing to look at, they looked happy and very active and easy to view and watch at all exhibits. The park was not overly busy or crowded which was great too! A must see if visiting the area.

Arnie Carr

nice park but closes early due to pandemic

Laura Barr

It's a great place but I HIGHLY suggest going on a cloudy day or waiting until the fall to go when the weather isn't sweltering hot. Could barely see any animals. Was all a really fun outing though!

Brian Cady

Enjoyed the night out with Daughter and grandsons. The weather was on the cool side but still a great night out.

aristotle wood

There are so few animals you can see in winter

Cheryl Lario

Great experience today. Many animals were away.

Cheryl Lario

Great experience today. Many animals were away.

Jeff Ellison

Very nice clean park. Staff are super friendly. We visit every time we go to Kamloops.

Joseph Kafka

Loved this place! They are welcoming and helpful, particularly with person's with disabilities.

Jonathan McCormick

Well kept grounds and animal areas. Excellent educational programs for endangered species n those which have been rescued. Friendly staff, well stocked snack bar n gift shop.

Beth Bastedo

The Wildlife Park employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The animals that live at the park are cared for and are given material that stimulate their brains. Be prepared to walk, as there is no train that gets you from one place to the other.the train that is there picks up and drops off at the same place.

matthew lydynuik

Awesome wildlife park. Spent an hour or two walking around looking at he animals. Was a super cool day spend there. Great place to bring children or even just go for a date. Quite a large area to walk around and some amazing animals to look at. Would highly recommend going early morning.

Karen Laye

Love this place! We get passes every year and do all the events for Christmas/Halloween/Easter. Love that the year pass also gets you in other places free or for a discount!

Yolanda Leggiadro

Went to see the moose but she was hiding. Got a great pic of the elk though. Fun place in the summer Im sure. We visited in winter so most of the attraction was only open in the summer.

Alex Passini

Good place for the whole family, they have events for each season. Christmas, Halloween, etc.

Colin O'Fee

Great place to take people who aren't from Canada to get a taste of the local wildlife.

Heather Tomlin

Very good light display but very cold to do a proper walk through.

Thiago Santana

Loved going with my family and riding the train

Annette Glover

Very comfortable visiting today with the grandchildren - even the mini-train running! And lots of animals!

5 MicMurphys

Animals in my opinion need larger inclousures, especially the grizzlies, they are massive animals that knees space

pramukh sandela

The most amazing wildlife park in the interior. Come spend a day with family and kids. Lots of fun activities for kids, along with a family farm experiencd where you can interact with friendly farm animals. The park is located on the highway just 16kms from Kamloops. There are regular buses to and fro from the city center.

Roy Morris

Perfect family day out. From the maze to the train ride, all the well cared for rescued animals to the cafe with a great selection of food & ICE CREAM! Staff are lovely! Our 'go to' family day out.

Tim Baldwin

Actually really nice and fun experience. We didn't get to see some of the animals , but would love to go back again and see them. Some of the animals had pretty small enclosures compared to others, but overall seems like they do care for the animals quite well ????

jacewebster

Was a fun experience for the whole family. Basically like a zoo in the fact that the entire purpose is to view animals and I love that its animals native to bc and canada. They even have a little train you can ride around which was fun enough but the view of the animals is better on foot. There is also a cafe with good food reasonable prices and gift shop with some neat natural products and other things that you quite often find in a gift shop. Overall it was fun and cost less then some other animal attractions I've visited. I would recommend it just to see the bears if nothing else.

Kelsey Gagnon

Such a cute wildlife park, the train is the best !

Emily C

Drove 2+ hrs to see the birds of prey showing at 11am and they cancelled it at 10:55am. They blamed it on being short staffed. My nephew had been excited all weekend to see it and was super sad when it didn't happen.

Mehran Reza

Local BC animals rescued.

Sherri Hollada

Tons of improvements and additions in the past few years. I was very impressed. There are definitely several things that could be improved (some displays have no signage so you don't know what it is, some broken interactive buttons, more staff lingering throughout the various areas to answer questions, more trees and shrubs in the outdoor exhibits). However, overall the great parts far outweigh those things and I'm assuming the park is doing the best they can within their budget. My kids and I had a great time.

Sophia Fern

BC Wildlife Park is one of the only "zoos" that I support. They only keep abandoned and injured animals, or animals that could not be released to the wild. The animals are well cared for and have plenty of enrichment. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves animals, or to families as a family outing.

Aaron Arsenault

Had blast! Definitely way more to do there then we expected!!! Worth every penny will be going back!

Mikiko Purbah

You support a great cause (animals in rehabilitation) by coming here. The park has a great set up, with the addition of a miniature train that runs through it for tours. The staff is friendly and so are the animals!

Ky Jennifer

Love this place, anytime of the year. There is activities for every age.

Daniela V

The landscape is beautiful but some animals are impossible to see..

Ian Merrington

great to be so close to all of the animals

Jewel Zapton

So much to do and see, you can spend hours here with family members of all ages. The train ride is a sprinkle on top after walking the park and seeing the variety of wildlife.

Linda Fecteau

The park has a number of different animals and birds and reptiles. Some of bears were hibernating when I was there but a friend went and saw a Grizzly. We enjoyed this

Juan Castillo

Really fun place to walk around and see some really cool animals.

Kate Mcleod

Lots of great info about the animals, plus they seem to be taking great care of the injured animals they have on site. My husband and I had a great time walking through.

Patrick Dobler

Cute park, some of the cages could be larger in our opinion.

K&I Hermiston

Clean, lovely place. Will definitely go back!!

ARNIE KIDNER

Doing the best they can with Covid hopefully the train will be available soon

Joshua M

Excellent wildlife park. We had a lot of fun visiting this. Layout was great and staff were wonderful.

Ben Parker

Excellent experience. Great variety and it was nice to see animals in a zoo that don't look stir crazy, just pacing back and forth along the same piece of fence

Tom Luszcz

My son loves going here to ride on the little train and see the animals.. try and go early in the summer. Cause when it gets hot the animals stay in the shade

Britt B

As far as things to do in Kamloops, it’s pretty good. As far as it compares to other wildlife parks/zoos, it’s not that great. They have made lots of progress recently, but it just still seems to be lacking. The bears are a must see though and quite often like to come right up to the fence.

Gabie Hdz

Kids have lots of fun here, but bring water as there are no water fountains.

Sabine Stanzer

We love the BC Wildlife Park.

K&J H.

When to Wildlights, was amazing. Great job. Was so glad we could go!!

Mike “DragonManMike” McCloy

Great place to bring kids or just come as an adult and check out some hard to see in the wild animals.

Kim P

Animals are well cared for and alot of family memories here over the years!

Renee Delage

Jamie Staniforth

Fantastic park. Good way to spend the day 4 hours if you want to really enjoy the park The zoo animals and park are well taken care of.

Plenty of animals and learning for the whole family! The whole park is mostly self guided. The birds of prey exhibit with the owls is super cool! Bring water, it's hot in the summer!

Jamie Weins

Went for Wild Lights this winter and we had a blast! No matter what time of year you go, there's always lots to look at and learn.

Health Renegade

Just the best day out!!

Alanna Kennedy

Always love watching my grandchildrens excitement when they get to see all the animals.

Jobin George

I went here only for the wild lights and it was quite amazing to experience. Got some of my favorite pictures and could see very few animals. Beautiful train journey though. Always keep one dollar for the train. Wondered how they kept the Santa and reindeers on top of the mountain. Loved the detailing in that also to include Rudolph the RED NOSE REINDEER. Illuminated dragon was really good so was the arch and dinosaurs. Overall a great experience.

Robin Marais

The park is OK. The reception girls aren't great. Did not greet and not friendly.

Keitha Jackson

We went too early in the year so most bears and such were hibernating but it's a really nice park and good way to spend the afternoon

Wade Tywoniuk

Cute, fun, scenic. good for younger families. More information on the health, status and recovery of the animals would be cool. Some of the animals had good habitats and space, others less so. Also looks like lots of spaces, vendors and opportunities for special events to happen.

Richard Wisla

Truly an excellent means of entertainment for people of all ages. It's not everyday you can get exposed to such incredible sorts of wildlife. Not to mention the nighttime lights that are put on for Christmas season! It's so beautiful to go …

Monique Nelson

I truly appreciate how respected the animals are in this Park, and reading their stories is both heartbreaking (because they're usually rescued due to injury) and heartwarming (because they're respected and cared for as the wild animals they are). I easily enjoy visiting and the annual pass is SUCH a great deal.

Kara Williams

Not much open if you go in April. The train also only runs occassionally not all the time, which isnt specified on their website very clearly. I didn't find out about the train until after we went to the park, and only found the info on the website after searching for 10 minutes. Honestly, we probably wouldn't return

Richard Figueroa

Even during covid this place was great. Clean , very well kept , excellent prices and most importantly animals are kept in a vast and fresh environment.

Beautiful wild lights this year

Brian Wilson

When for the first time in about 20 years with my 6 year old daughter and my wife. It wasn't a hot day so it wasn't too busy which also made it pretty easy to see most of the animals. Took us about 2 hours to see it all plus a few minutes to stop for a snow cone. Social distancing was being encouraged and there was hand sanitizer available through most of the park. Most specialized viewing areas had a limit on the number of people at one time and most people were being respectful but there are always a few... Good way to spend a Saturday morning.

John

Very cool park where you can see a variety of animals, including bears!

Ravee P

A park in the perfect setting! If you are visiting, please consider signing up for the VIP experience. It will match and exceed all your expectations. The Birds of prey experience was educating and it was simply amazing and thrilling to see the birds so closely. The staff is the best I've encountered - Julie took care of our booking, Michele checked us in at the reception, and Jamie, the falconer helped us learn soooo much. Definitely gonna visit again for the other experiences!

Katie BearTV

Great family place. Love the animals, the idea behind this park and the water park at the playground.

okanagan ADV

Love this park, amazing learning experience for the younger ages. And beautiful animals to view. Honestly better than the Vancouver zoo. And for a better cause!

Katelyn Thiessen

Got to see the cougars at feeding time and the grizzly having a bath. It was awesome!

Maddi Genn

A phenomenal program to see animals and support their preservation efforts. "Wild Lights" - their Christmas light decorations - was particularly spectacular this year :)

Mike Underwood

Awesome place. Love it

Daniela Chan Viquez

Is nice but a little small. Even though is an animal rehab center, the cages and the animal habitats need more maintenance.

Tereza Fišerová

We've had great time. Definitely worth the visit and money.

Flavio G Viola

Great place to take the kids and see the Christmas lights

Tyler Butzke

Love going here. With the seasons pass at a great price we go for an hour or more depends on the day. Gift shop has lots of cool things to check out.

Momo Royale

Som amy cool and cute animals. The kermodo bear was the highlight

Joanne Edwards

What a beautiful place to spend a day with your family. You can spend the day enjoying the animals, the waterpark and having a snack.

Alana McMaster

Always a great place to visit!

Amber Hansen

The BC Wildlife Park was a fun place to spend the afternoon. Highlights for the kids included the birds of prey and the reptiles. We had the opportunity to meet a burrowing owl named Fin who is the ambassador for her species. There is also an indoor exploration area for kids and a gift shop. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable. The train does not run in the winter. Family rates are available as well as annual passes. Strollers and wagons are available to rent for a small fee. Vancouver members can receive a discount on individual entry fees.

Matt D

We loved it here! It is awesome that on most exhibits you can walk fully around the enclosure to get a good view of the animals. Also the exhibits are easy to view through the fence. Our 3 year old loved the train and getting her photo with Rouge at the birds of prey show.

Ronnie Filippone

Fun little wildlife park I took my girlfriend to while visiting from the states. Takes about an hour or so to see all the animals and parking is free.

J W

3 year olds should NOT have to be paid for. It was nice to see the animals, but for us it wasn't worth $49. Prices for adults are reasonable but they ought to charge maybe $1 per year of age for kids. $12 for a 3 year old is a tad ridiculous.

Fiona Murphy

Really fabulous place to visit. Could have spent a whole day here. Saw bears, wolves, moose and more.

Ramanjot Singh

Great place to see wild animals.

Jennifer Turnbull

Beautiful setting. Great idea for a family to explore

Adina de Jong

They had friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and a variety of animals. The grade ones I brought thoroughly enjoyed themselves playing, exploring, and observing.

Tony Mackie

You can tell that this zoo keeps good care of the animals. It is not very large and could be considered a little expensive for the length of time it takes to see everything on display. Now it is the times of covid and there were displays and shows that were closed . They have an amphitheater that would likely be entertaining and educational for children and the adults , if this was operating then I feel it would be worth the price. Because of flooding , we couldn't go on the nature walk around the back of the park, this I hear has a waterfall and i could see the small river.

Troy Smith

Always something fun/interesting to see, their events are top notch and it seems like they are playing a game of one-upmanship with themselves each year. Food is great, staff are really friendly and it's really family friendly.

Saw a grizzly taking a bath and chilling within 5 meters, life goals completed!! Non-profit animal conservation for orphaned and injured animals, this is a definite must. I learnt a lot also, the staff are great at looking after the animals as well as very knowledgeable. Give to a great cause, 100% recommend.

Dan Moore

Had a great time. It was nice seeing animals that had been injured or would stand a chance under normal circumstances getting that chance.

Maria M.

What an awesome place. A must see with lot of animals and various events. Will go again.

Bob Joe

Lovely park. Full of beautiful animals and scenery. They even have a miniature train you can ride that will take you to see a good portion of the park. I went on a cool overcast day which is nice when you want to take your time outdoors. Admission is relatively cheap, $15.50 for adults, and the train ride is a dollar, can't beat that.

Colton Dick

My fiance and I frequent here. Highly recommended. All of the animals are being rehabilitated, or cannot be released due to disabilities by no means is this a ZOO.

Anastasia K

The Kermode white bear is unique. The Grizzlies are also interesting to watch.

Candis Willis

fun for the family. kids can be kids . play at the water park , take a train ride and pet the goats.

Duncan Kennedy

Seeing the animals is only the surface of why I love this place. The conversation efforts that are routed through this establishment are incredible, and I am so proud to have this be as a part of our community. Support our local Wildlife Park! (And bring a water bottle if you're coming in the summer)

ally knight

The animals looked a little distressed but they are very loved and do have everything they could need or want. The staff are very dedicated to making your experience positive.

Kieran Murphy

Decent wildlife park to get a look at Canada's well known animals close up.

Spring Castle

A very comfortable walk . Nice happy animals I like putting money towards these types of environments.thank you for teaching us.

Tatenda Esther Sheryl Madziva

Great way to keep the kids entertained. The wild lights were amazing. But it's so much better in the summer there is so much to see and there are quite few activities available for the whole family.

MK Dee

A wonderful place to bring you family. A lot of walking so bring a wagon or stroller for smaller children. Great educational resource for gield trips. The splash park and playground are wonderful add ons too. The train was not working due to mechanical issues when we were there but it was still a great visit. They have many covid procedures in place too to protect patrons. My only criticism would be the open rock collection in the gift shop is a bin where I observed MANY tourists put their hands in it to collect rocks. I don't think this should be open at all. We steered clear of it. Otherwise a wonderful place to spend a good 2 to 3 hours. My favorite was the birds of prey exhibit. The snack station and gift shop were surprisingly very fair priced for their items. 10 out 10 recommended ????

Joni Kinney

Seeing the animals playing put a smile on my face

shawn bundy

One of the best shots I've been to. Nice large cages for the animals and good viewing areas to actually see them.

Steffano 2002

A great and relatively cheap park to visit to see wild animals and enjoy a day out with the family. We spent 3 hours wandering around and enjoyed the "flying birds show". Definitely recommended if in the area.

Bhavit Boolchandani

Not much animals. Many cages empty. Good for children

marcusmaximus

Boo in the Zoo was a lot of fun! Cool lights, lots of animals and some sword fighting to watch. Pretty great for a family visit!

ALDZBOY

Great service! I was helped by a lady named Luna and she was fantastic with helping me and answering my questions! The park was fantastic and I loved seeing he bears!

Jamie Staniforth

Fantastic park. Good way to spend the day 4 hours if you want to really enjoy the park The zoo animals and park are well taken care of.

Ricki Lynn

Tons of improvements and additions in the past few years. I was very impressed. There are definitely several things that could be improved (some displays have no signage so you don't know what it is, some broken interactive buttons, more staff lingering throughout the various areas to answer questions, more trees and shrubs in the outdoor exhibits). However, overall the great parts far outweigh those things and I'm assuming the park is doing the best they can within their budget. My kids and I had a great time.

fluff pup

Nice place for kids and adults

Andrew Bartlett

Amazing family days here and the train kids just love. This bear also had such personality.

James Steele

I love this place, we go a few times a year. We plan on purchasing memberships this spring as we are relocating to the area. It is not an all day park but you can certainly spend 2-3 hours and have a picnic or lunch at the venue.

Sarah Bellows

It was a great learning experience for our littles to see the rehabilitation North American animals up close. We need to educate more on these critters! Deffiently will be back in the future. Thank you for the experience.

Celest Russell

We went to the wild lights display and it was awesome we loved it. So many lights super fun. I did feel bad for some of the animals tho the turkey was quite agitated and instead of shutting that particular area down so it might calm down they said oh it's only another few hours he will be fine. He didnt appear fine to me but I also do not deal with that animal daily so it was just my observation. Otherwise it was awesome very clean very welcoming. My neighbor even got a picture with santa the maze was fun. The line up was much too long for the train for me, but i had a great time none the less.

Loretta

It’s sooo coooooolllld ????????????????it was -22… My God.. you should check the weather and dress appropriately. So you don’t freeze out there….

Trina B

First of all, the price was an exorbitant $16.95 each, which I wouldnt pay more than $12.00 for. The grounds were very dry and bland with little shade for the animals as well as visitors along the self guided tour. In addition, some of the cages were double wired so as to completely obstruct ones view of the animal. The larger enclosures had overgrown grass and/or obstructed views of the animals altogether. We did a ton of walking, and saw almost nothing. Not very open or a feeling of being interactive, like other zoos. And no monkeys!

J Martin

Beautiful wildlife sanctuary. I'll definitely support this place again the next time I'm in Kamloops.

Eva Rubínová

BC Wildlife park is a great place for a family trip. At one time, we used to go there every weekend - the family pass is really worth it. There is a playground and a splash park. The animal displays are beautiful, the whole place is easily accessible (there are paved roads throughout), facilities are clean.

Shannon Moffett

Totally a Awesome experience, alot of rescue animals, always working on upgrading the park. Lots to see & do.????

Cody Makowichuk

Lots of cool local wildlife up closer than you could ask for - plus all of the animals are rescues so there's no zoo style profiteering

Joey Jack

A great afternoon! A shame the waterfalls aren't accessible any longer.

Kevin Melanson

Great place, had a great family time , lots of animals :)????????

Daphne Ash

Very clean facility and the animals are those that would otherwise perish due to their previous human interactions or injuries.

Abinesh M

It was ok. We went on a very hot day and so the walking was difficult. The train tour covered everything and so we didn't have to walk a lot.

Kology X

Very cool! Really enjoyed seeing all the animals. ????

Kennedy Grant

Well I work here. But I love it. I love all my co-workers and the animals it's all really awesome

MovieBuffReal The Second

Lovely place. Different animals and good staff. A full day fun for kids and adults.

Mike “Panekiller” Nemeth

My son has some much here! Loves seeing the animals and learning about them too.

Don Covin

Great place to stop and take the kids. The water park is excellent to keep the kids cool on a hot day. The park is clean and there are lots of things to keep kids entertained in addition to the animals.

Steve Voteary

Love this place .... love the animals amd shout out to Clover

Lawrence Yang

Was wonderful to see bears and eagles up close....I understand that they're rescues and could not survive in the wild. The animals exhibited some behaviours that I did not understand but I do believe that the staff are doing their best. The exhibits are relatively sparse compared to a zoo, but I think it's because the location only features rescues...the place was clean with very large grounds. I think some of the staff are volunteers. It was slightly over-priced for my taste but I understand that this park needs $ to maximize conditions for the animals

Anadi Mishra

Very less animals visible during winter, not a good place during winter time

Trav Canada

Kids had lots of fun, only downside was lack of shade in the area. Kids got over heated walking around.

Kevin Birch

The Wild lights are amazing every Christmas season!

Chana MacDonald

This place is and has always been awesome. I love that they focus on education and conservation and have mostly rehabilitated animals. A favourite for me today was holding Gandalf the burrowing owl. He was such a sweet little guy. Also, Clover the Spirit Bear was so amazing to watch playing and splashing in his pond. A great place for families and anyone interested in learning about native Canadian animals.

Kirstyn Sigouin

Fun place to take the kids .... we go quite often.

Casey Fodor

Fun for all ages.

Cody Carlson

Amazing amazing place. If your a lover of animals and a great cause this is a must place for every member of the family

Alexander Liu (al2006)

I've seen better zoos, but this one is still quite great. Animals are treated quite well and are nice to see up close. The zoo is quite small, and will probably take less than an hour to see everything.

Dallas

Absolute great little spot to see wildlife

christina brochu

Great family place one down fall the animals pens need TLC very overgrown

Meg Polier

I love that they are reaching animals and that when I visit it helps take care of them.

Chris Lacroix

The BC Wildlife Park does everything right. We have enjoyed ourselves every single time we visit, which is why we go back so often. Today we witnessed the Grizzly Bears feeding time and watched as they foraged for food. We saw the various Birds of Prey in their exhibits and for the first time we also had a clear viewing of Clover the Kermode Bear during one of his feedings (timing is evrything). The staff are always happy to answer questions and have fun facts to add to the conversation. Of course the visit is never complete without a ride on the train! Thank you for a wonderful experience BC Wildlife Park! See you again soon!

Little Gamer Life

My family and I love going to the BC wildlife park. We love walking around and learning new things. They also have great holiday themed attractions.

Tim D.

This is such a great place to bring the children and me. It so happens to not be very busy the times that we visit and it makes for a very relaxing and informative stroll.

Mark Iredale

Great light show

Clive Robinson

Nice park, big enclosures, clean, cared for..... we will be back.

SANDRA CORRALES

Thank you for taking good care of the animals. nice place

Anjali vipin

Nice place , nice people at front desk, very neat and clean .

Abe Bueckert

Personally think it's over priced. The wildlife is really great and there's a train ride you can take. A great place to spend the afternoon though. Water park for the kids, gift shop, and a cafe!

Lauren Hartling

This organization rescues injured and orphaned wildlife and has educational programming featuring their non releasable local wildlife. Check it out :)

Olga Ch.

Beautiful place, well taken care off, animals look healthy and cared for...all animals are local rescued wildlife.

M S

This was a really fun stop on our way to Banff from Vancouver.

Terri Giesbrecht

Not as prepared for the large holiday crowd as they should have been

Scott Turner

Very big place need some repairs done but still pretty cool place.

Maia Smith

Amazing service and is a great way to spend the afternoon! Beautiful animals!

Tara Fairbrother

Great place to take the kids. We go to wildlights every year. We also get the passes, it's a great value.

Jennifer Young

Lots of fun! Great to see animals closer up! I wish the gift shop had some different stuff though.

Sam Patterson

Long one get ready ..... Went here with family from out of town. I’ve seen it but always been reluctant because zoos are bad. Animals should be free (hippy rent over). This IS NOT a ‘zoo’ it’s a sanctuary for animals that can’t be placed back in the wild. So we can kill them or save them.. saving is what BC wildlife park have done ✅ The grounds, customer service, animals were all amazing! Clean, well fed looking animals. Very affordable too! - defiantly a must do if you’re visiting the boring town of Kamloops lol . Incredible Canadian wildlife. Didn’t see the white bear :( Or deer ????

Cheryl Johnson

Love that they take in injured animals. The kids loved the train ride and seeing animals/insects etc

The Rev. Peter van der Leelie

Great for the whole family. Lots to do and see. Note special events.

Patti Brooks

I brought in an injured duck and 7 ducklings. The people were wonderful, compassionate and helpful. More people should support this place and those that work there. ????

James Adamson

Fun and interesting facts and animals from the local area. Highly recommended. Don't forget your loonies to ride on the train!

James Adamson

Chris Dirks

Wildlights is always a treat. Friendly staff, inexpensive food. I wish they would run all the amenities during the colder weather however -18 is not that cold for Canada during January! Glad they're open regardless.

Rose Petal

So nice to experience these wild animals so close!!!

Gabriel Bastos De castanha

A Great place to go because you can see animals such as grizzly bears and animals from canada and other parts of canada.very beautiful place I recommend.

Zachary White

Have been here a couple times now and it’s a great place to spend a couple hours. Lots of wildlife that’s there’s for the right reasons, rehabilitation and rescue. Extremely family and adult friendly with great staff, expect to spend a couple hours here easily. It is wheelchair accessible as well.

Allan Holbrook

Train wasn't working. Grandkids did like the playground. Went from 1230 to 330 and the animals were mainly sleeping.

Sean whelan

Nice place, nice staff. Very welcoming to questions and staff seem to actually care about the animals. The spirit bear presentation is interesting and they have a great junior ranger type program where kids do some research and a short presentation to staff and in return get one of a few terrific little pins to collect.

Liz P.

Great way to see animals you normally wouldn't see in BC. Managed to get there at feeding time around 2pm and would highly recommend. An awesome family activity and a nice way for my husband and I to spend the afternoon in Kamloops!

R-Rahaman Raza

Very cool place to go with family and friends. Wide variety of wildlife available for viewing with bits of information on them provided. Excellent for taking younglings on an educational tour.

Denise Beaton

I like the work that's done here. The staff are professional and friendly. Its clean and well maintained with a good map and information.

Sabrina Perez

Great staff, loved that the animals have big enclosures that allow them the ability to keep to themselves if they want. The birds of prey are my favorite!

Karl Anderson

I visited mid-week during the afternoon, so it was very quiet. Beautiful place with some great animals. The keepers talk on the Bobcat was very informative. It takes about an hour to walk through and see everything. Overall I had a great time.

Brenda Duggan

Lots to see inside the center including some live animals. The park has a good amount of benches and places to sit and eat. Some of the animals were nowhere to be seen but the kids loved the large covered sandbox with an abundance of dozers and toy diggers. Kinda pricey for a family of 4 with toddlers and better bring a wagon or large stroller for tired wee-ones. We brought a lunch or would have to eat from restaurant. Social distancing and masks were observed.

Darcy Thiessen

The choo choo is fun

David Fornelli

Staff are enthusiastic about educating visitors, and the animals seem well cared for.

Zbynek Vyskovsky

Nice animals which you may or may not see easily during your guess.

DANIELA RAMOS

Great place to know animals by nervous people as me! They also has a great customer service, they answer my emails before go!

Morgane Cailloux

Wonderful and clean little park. Really enjoyed walking around and looking at the different animals.

Bob O'Driscoll

Love this place. A great day out for all the family.

Nick Lockie

A nice place to spend a few hours looking at wildlife that has been saved.

Sean Glendinning

Always a pleasure to visit. I felt like the lights were much brighter and there seemed to be new displays this year. I love the new hut by the fire pit as well

Tanya Epp

We've been going here for 7 years, since our kids were babies. Animals are well cared for and the staff is awesome.

Pj Jackson (Lady Biker)

Absolutely loved it !!

Nevin Webster

Went for the wildlights. Daughter love the animals and all of the colours.

Brandon L

Really lucky to have with park in town, great outing for kids of all ages and always interesting, even for adults. Many cool animals to see and they always put on fun events for kids like Easter hunts, wild lights and Halloween. The annual family pass is well worth the cost and will continue to get it.

Jen

Very good, lots of see, many animals are hard to see though which was sad because we drove from far away and the kids didn't get to see the lynx, cougar, etc.

Damian Black

This place is a must see. Strongly recommend a morning start to see animals fresh before the midday heat. Had lunch here and food was great too. Explore inside to see bees and other animals and take a ride on the miniature train!!

Aaron Jones

Great day trip and great for kids. Fun park and water park as well as all the animals!

John Bulhoes

Slower times due to Covid-19. We were not required to wear a mask. Concession was very basic the reason for only 4 out 5. Animals were great saw almost every thing but the wolves, black bear and cougar. Grizzly was out in the open as well as the other Kermode bear. The most fascinating of it all was probably the predator birds. All of them injured an unable to fly the park took them in. They are very vocal and really show you true size of these animals up close! My 2 year old loved the splash park.

Ryan Ferguson

I love supporting this place! No matter what time of year, they have something going on worth your attention.

Richard's Tech-Knowledgey

Even during covid this place was great. Clean , very well kept , excellent prices and most importantly animals are kept in a vast and fresh environment.

Jackson Steinke

Love that the park hosts a variety of rescued animals. It looks as though they really do try to provide a nice living space for the animals although some of the spaces did look a little sparse. Would have been nice to take a tour so maybe …

Jim Edwards

My wife and I usually go once a year. It's a great place for kids. When they're done looking at the animals they can play in the playground or the little water/splash park. It's not too expensive considering that some of the money goes …

Pete M

1 to 2 hours max. Good place for kids and kids and family!

J Y

Lots of fun! Great to see animals closer up! I wish the gift shop had some different stuff though.

Cate Laurel

Many of the animals were hiding, this isn't like an exploitative zoo where the animals are on display, they live in environments suited to them like dens and rockwalls, but i suppose that's to be expected when its a conservation reserve and not a circus where the animals are trained to perform. Absolutely loved the black/grizzly bears, and seeing a spirit bear was the highlight of my dads day. Had to kind of trick the cougar to come out but I also loved seeing the marmot in the elk enclosure - they're one of my favourite animals!!! Barely saw the porcupine which made me sad but I hope to see her next time My son LOVED the bees and the bee garden, and his favourite enclosures were the wolves and birds of prey. I had no idea bald eagles were that enormous. We all learned a lot and it was a great place to socially distance outdoors during these hard and unpredictable times while still having fun Side note, we got thirsty and the cafe is very, very reasonably priced, ive never seen a cafe in an attraction so inexpensive. I spent a little over 10 dollars and got 2 water bottles, 2 large frozen lemonades and a popsicle. Compared to PNE that is a steal. in the gift shop is a center where you can buy rocks and put them in a bag. My son lost it, he was so excited and I let him pick out some gorgeous rocks in a branded bag. His fave memento of our trip, hes in love with them and im so happy he has such a nice memory for years to come. Best 10 bucks I ever spent. I told all my colleagues about this place and they're hoping to visit the next time they're in kamloops, it was a great day. Highly recommend

Dean Danchuk

It was bigger then i thought it would be. Had great space for animals. Lots of interaction with staff

KyLe BachMann

Great place my son and me liked the wolves the bison and Grizzly bears and other bears there the coyotes followed us around the fence

Victor Tam

Well worth the visit! The legendary Pokemon "spirit bear" can be spotted near the end of the park. …

Abyte Zero

If you think this is a zoo don't go there you won't like your visit, each animal has a reason to be there so you must like animals and read why there are enclosed to enjoy the place. I think a normal visit should be about 2h length...

Harlen Crier (Sonias shopper)

While not as expanded as others still a great place to see.

Delphine JOLIVEL

This place is just great. It’s small but my son and I managed to spend 4 hours in it (had lunch there). We loved the little train ride which is operated by volunteers and for which you pay 1 dollar per person. It’s well worth it. Please TAKE CASH to pay for the ride as other payment form is not available because too expensive to run for a few dollars. We did it twice at different time to see more animals (as some hide). We saw every animal but at different time. Do a first stroll, take the train, have lunch, do another walk…don’t think you’re unlucky just try to go back to several spots at different times. It took us 3 trials to see (and hear) the lynx! The only downside is seeing the animals behind the fences (makes it hard to take pictures). Most animals there are rescued so spending money there helps. Price is 15.95 for an adult and 11.95 for a child (3 to 17). It’s well worth it. Price in the café is 6.5 CAD for a hamburger, 7 for a wrap and 6.50 for large fries (huge portion consider taking a medium or small one) + 5%GST Don’t forget to check the gift shop when you leave. Price are reasonable and there is a great selection.

Brendan Shaw

This is a great place to take the family! The staff are very knowledgable, kind and outgoing. In the winter, make sure to bundle up and experience "Wild Lights" for fun, entertainment and hot chocolate!

Lee La

Always a great experience. Paths were a little slippery last time we went which is not the end of the world, it is winter etc, but with kids & strollers, it was a bit more challenging to navigate than usual.

Kristi Jukes

Would have given 5 stars if the water park was functioning, and if the train was included in admission. $1 isn't much, but we paid $60 to get in.

Colleen Bijl

It was ok. Pleasant for the kids and the train ride was fun.

Heidi

Always enjoy our visits there. Things are always changing and the park is looking good. Love the kids play area and water park. The water stations were a new thing we noticed and liked. Each time we're there, we're liking the changes.

Lisa Merrick

Great park. Wild lights is beautiful and lots to entertain the whole family.

Kris Meunier

The BC Wildlife Park is a great place to go for a fun-filled day of animal encounters, physical activity and education. The knowledgeable staff are keen to answer questions about the wildlife and there are multiple activities to partake in throughout the park. During the winter months they host an annual Wildlights show with hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights in the park. It's absolutely breathtaking. The wonderful people at the park do an amazing job caring for and rehabilitating the animals. Always a pleasure to visit.

Kyle “Carusifire” Carusi

Best attraction in Kamloops

Maddy

The viewing of the animals were really cool! But what really disappointed me the most was the food at the cafe my boyfriend and I ordered 2 poutines and spent close to $15 all for shredded cheese not cheese curds and the gravy was store bought and microwaved. As well the centre of the fries were all cold, it wasnt warm at all. I always thought that if its named a café most things are homeade.

David Landon

A bit expensive for the size and limited number of animals. Good views of bears and cougars today.

Kristy Thompson

Always a great time at the wildlife park. The lights were fantastic and so much effort has been put it. Absolutely amazing!

YASIR ARAFATH

Not bad

Leanne G

This is a great spot to take the family. There is a miniature train, splash park and playground and lots of animals.

Braedan Dale

Not a lot going on, likely due to COVID, but the animals were interesting and the park seemed to be kept clean.

Ben Nicholson

Very informative staff, great exhibits and shows. It seems that every time I come here they have something new and super cool! The christmas lights display is also definitely worth a visit.

Orvz Ad

There was a very rude cahier/stores clerk at the gift shop. She was very disrespectful in the way she treated us during our shopping experience. I emailed their customer feedback site but it seems like the management does not take feedback seriously. I guess they don't value any to improve their customer service. I therefore would not come back or recommend anyone to visit the gift shop.

Great animals ❤️???? to see! Check it out

Laurence Loxam

Visited in Sept. Really nice place with a great atmosphere. I really like what the team at the park have done with taking in these poorly animals. Well done and keep up the good work. The facilities are also great too. 5 out of 5!

We were here for a birthday celebration concert. Great concert venue. We also enjoyed the exhibits and animal rescue stories. Educational and a great resource for studying animals. We will be back.

Patricia Courtoreille

We went to late in the season I would love to see it in the summer, I heard the light show is interesting...

rebecca giles

Absolutely LOVE the park! We have a family membership and walk the park often. Exercise and animals, a perfect afternoon!! ????

Ingrid Arevalo

Big park, nice playground, many animals... great experience.

Patrick Carroll

Great Christmas lights in December

Mavis Gevido

Great cause saving wild animals.

Mark Dejoode

Awesome place to visit. Very well done. Admission is reasonably priced

Keenan Moon

What a wonderful experience. All the animals looked well fed and happy. So many amazing animals to observe!

Electric Fat Bike Company

In so used to the Zoo in the cities and this is definitely a game changer. I love to see the local animals, and read all their stories.

Becky Blixrud

Great place to take children to learn about animals native to BC. I love to take out-of-town visitors here to spend the afternoon. The birds of prey centre and the grizzly bears are usually the highlight of the visit!

andisketch

Wonderful park! Absolutely fantastic experience, was very pleased with the enclosures they've made for their non-releasables.

Arshdeep Brar

Not many animals out there. Was fun for kids.

Donna Riemer

No train ride available for the family a little bit disappointed as it was a Friday afternoon.

Prasanth Abraham

It's a beautiful place to spend a day with family. Most of the enclosures had animals in them and there was a little train going around. Fun place to interact with nature.

Noel G

What a great place! The animals were very healthy and happy looking and the enclosures were large and well maintained. The food was good and there were lots of shady rests along the way.

John Beaver

What a great setup! Lots to see. A little Bee maze, lots of bears, even a rare spirit bear. Goats and mountain goats, sheep and big horned sheep. Buffalo, bobcats, bears, bald eagles and elk. We loved riding the train, and for a dollar each it's worth it! Cool down with an ice cream snack at the caboose. It might be better to come when the weather is slightly cooler as we didn't see much of the bears, hiding from the sun! Bathrooms are nice. There are lots of spaces for picnicking too. As always, exit through the gift shop!

Diane Kuchma

Great wildlights display and never too old to live the mini train ride.

Damian Black

This place is a must see. Strongly recommend a morning start to see animals fresh before the midday heat. Had lunch here and food was great too. Explore inside to see bees and other animals and take a ride on the miniature train!!

Steve Hall

I real nice place. A wonderful environment for people to have fun and to be educated.

Jake KIR

Great place to take the family to see and encounter some really cool animals.

Tara Donovan

I love this place! I always enjoy going, seeing the animals and picking up some souvenirs.

Samantha Wishner

Loved seeing the Kemodie bear!! The park was quite small and some animals were hard to see, but the true attraction was right there. The bears were awesome to watch!!

Chris Grem

There is always something new to experience here. Kids love it and are always asking to go. Informative and interesting facts/pictures are always being posted on their social media pages. Animals are well cared for, and it is obvious the main priority is their wellbeing. Would recommend this as a fun weekend activity - not only is it a fun walk around the park, but there is also a playground and splash park. Wide variety of things to do here!

Jeannette Taylor

Awesome place for kids also educational

Luke Coburn

Best part was watching the kermode bear(only one in captivity) frolic in the water. Best to go early before the animals retreat to the shade. Might not see all animals so temper expectations.

Trista Arney

Fun and informative wildlife park. They have a pin club for school aged children where they can earn enamel pins for completing worksheets based on infographics.

Jason anderson

My family had a great time staff was very polite .The lady with the turtle was very kind to my daughter letting have closer look but no touching and 6 feet rule. The wild life was active but those wolfs where hiding some where in the shade lol it was warm that day .There's more than enough social distancing, more than 30 feet between groups even the tourists keeping there distancing and felt safe enough to go again. Sometime soon .!!!!

Damon Juneau

Fun and very interactive spot for kids of all ages including us kids at heart

Karen Newman

Beautiful park as always. Appreciated the 10 week extension on my pass due to covid closure

K D

Always a great experience to take the children. They always have fun ????

Stephen Kinns

Well laid out, very interesting, and good to see the injured animals being so well looked after.

Kevin Crawford

Great for the little ones. Good way to keep them entertained for an afternoon.

MIN SANG PARK

It's a good place to take a walk with your family and look around. However, there are not many animals, and grass and trees are not well maintained, so some animals are sometimes difficult to see. The facilities are also very underdeveloped.

Gordon MacDougall

Beautiful park. Great for a day trip. You can spend hours here with the kids.

Nyree Davidson

Great place to take the family for the day ! There's a water park too if it's hot out it's nice to run threw and cool yourself down.

Diane Peppard

Great place to spend a few hours and you definitely need the time. Lots to see and a wonderful adventure. The water park to go in for the kids to cool off is perfect on a hot day. I absolutely recommend this place. Love the gift shop too.

Tyler Mccolm

A park in the perfect setting! If you are visiting, please consider signing up for the VIP experience. It will match and exceed all your expectations. The Birds of prey experience was educating and it was simply amazing and thrilling to see the birds so closely. The staff is the best I've encountered - Julie took care of our booking, Michele checked us in at the reception, and Jamie, the falconer helped us learn soooo much. Definitely gonna visit again for the other experiences!

Jessica Li

We'll organized zoo. And it's not always that you get to see a spirit bear!

Amanda Price

Great place for kids of all ages...

Maj Mi

Amazing place! Loved every part. Animals are well looked after. The little cafe was nice with hot food and cold treats and $2 popcorn!! Highly recommended for families with young kids and those young at heart.

Zbynek Vyskovsky

Nice animals which you may or may not see easily during your guess.

Maxine Glover

Animals seemed well cared for and content. Keepers were knowledgeable. Facility is well maintained. Great place for kids as well as adults.

Silver Black

It's hot. It's fun. Not busy. Kids love it. Did I mention it's hot. Like 34C. But feels like 40C. Great staff. A nice walk and educational for everyone. 2nd time here.

P K

Close viewing of select wild life in a relatively open environment. Nice kids train and play area both indoor and outdoor. Some performance in the amphitheatre area. It's more of preservation and rehabilitation than a zoo.

Der Camper Lauch

It’s ok for a few hour trip but not more. Not comparable to the other other bigger wildlife parks in bigger cities. I guess if you bring your children it will be a very nice day. Without children you can calculate with max 2h time for seeing the whole park. I liked that it’s more like a refugee park for injured animals that are not capable of surviving in the wilderness.

Aida Krouzel

Workers are very calm and relaxed. Good vibes. I usually feel sad for the animals I'm captivity, but I didn't there because that had spacious enclosures and many are rescues. Maybe all? Theres a great area for children to play and lots of seating around the enclosures.

Julia Richardson

We enjoyed seeing the wild animals. These animals get a second chance in life while educating the public. Each animal has a story, which we learned about during the animals feeding talk.

Krisztina Kovacs

Very disappointing. There is almost nothing to see and super small. If it was $25 for our family, then its acceptable but to pay 50 for this tiny park is auch a ripoff

Katelyn Thiessen

Got to see the cougars at feeding time and the grizzly having a bath. It was awesome!

Charlene Spence

Excellent learning experience for children and adults. Ive taken my kids and now grandchild here multiple times.

Aadish Gupta

Not as fancy as I thought. They have one of each species mostly. Some exhibits didn't have any animals. OK for an hour's worth of stroll.

Jesse Seniunas

Pretty cool wildlife park. I checked it out during the holiday season and they had a fantastic array of lights set up at night. Has a little train you can ride on and a gift shop and cafe at the entrance. Only downside, it's a fair drive from Kamloops - close to an hour depending where your coming from. Entrance fee is reasonable.

Alvin Lim

A good place to spend time with the whole family. Almost all animals are here if you can’t see it on the hiway. Its a very interesting and educational once your inside the wildlife park. ????????????

Sanova Neufeld

We love the wild life park and the animals are great. We just had a hard time with the smoke for breathing.

Annie Burt

Most enjoyable time with family. Park caters to families and tours. Lots to see and learn. Love the covered sand box, great water park and petting zoo.

Hadden Page

Awesome place! So much wildlife and so happy it's a rehabilitation center and not a zoo! My girlfriend and I (both 21) had an awesome time here! We spent most of the day touring around and checking out every exhibit.

Peggy-Jo Broad

Just not what it used to be when Rob Purdy was the manager....sooo many noxious weeds too.

Melemstya Whyte

This is fantastic place to have family time

Betty Ann Beatty

Nice experience with the animals and a great place to meet your Best Friend for coffee. ????

Helen Lu

Great educational/ rehab facility and animals seem well cared for. Clover, the kermode bear is an absolute cutie!

Theo Seal

Such a great time. Super excited about Boo at the zoo. The maze was a blast.

Susanne Flukinger

A membership is the way to go for locals. The children love exploring.

Nathan Wallace

Great place. Animals are active and seam happy.

Goldie Arora

It was okay for kids under 4 years

Joelle Crosby

We love the Wildlife Park. Its a great place for the kids to run around in a controlled, safe area, and learn about the different animals. However. We went there today (Sep. 7), and it was fairly busy. For the most part, everyone was social distancing, and the playground was opened and the waterpark area. The kids we not social distancing, which was fine with us, everyone was enjoying themselves. It was not mandatory to wear a mask while in the park area. We moved onto the train, and even though it is probably the cleanest part of the whole park and they were social distancing people, masks, for anyone over the age of 2, was mandatory. Our son is autistic. He has a disability. The lady at the ticket booth wasn't going to let our 3.5 year old non-verbal autistic son on the train because due to his DISABILITY he couldn't wear a mask. I then pointed out that it's discriminatory to not allow him a service due to a disability, and then she informed me that earlier in day she turned away someone for the same reason althought the gentleman was taller and older in age (she did not say what age), but because my son was "little" she would allow it. Completely unbelievable that they were denying people who have disabilities.

Jesse Richter

What a great place to spent some time and unwind. Animals a plenty they have food and washroom facilities. They have a train that runs parts of the year overall great

Terry Reidy

This is without a doubt an awesome place to spend a day with your grand children. The animals and exhibits are second to none. I would recommend this park to anybody it's just that nice. ????????????????????????????

justfortest TK

Appreciated all the effort to rescue animals. Keep up the work!

Jason roz

Having grown up in southern Ontario and being able to go to places like the famous Toronto and Buffalo zoos, I have experienced many times over the joy of getting to see animals up close that I would otherwise not necessarily see. That being said, I took my family to the BC wildlife park the other day and I can say honestly that was one of the best family outings we've enjoyed. First off, a group of 11 of us cost a little less that $100 and then we rented a wagon as well which was only a $5 rental fee and definitely helped and was really rather inexpensive for a trip that lasted us over 5 hours. It was a joy to see all the kids faces light up seeing animals like a mountain lion, bears, the badger, wolves, and everyone enjoyed the barn with its surly looking turkey. The walk around was great too. We measured it in steps at about 5.2 kilometers in total. The big playground in the middle of the park added to the day as the kids got a chance to play and the adults got a chance to relax for a minute. The little cafe they have isn't much to look at, but the coffee was decent and nothing was overpriced in my opinion. Sadly, the train wasn't operating yet it that didn't actually take away from the experience, I think it only would have added to it and we will go again to enjoy that. Also they are putting in a mini-putt golf course so there is that to look forward to as well. All in all I highly recommend this as a destination for all families.

Kathy Wiens

Beautiful day at the prostate cancer run. Met the drummers and drummed for the first time. Thanks

Crystal Osbourne

Nice spot to take younger kids. The first 4 enclosures we viewed seemed to be empty. Areas of the park seemed run down and need work. Our son, who is 11, enjoyed it but I think he'll soon be to old for it.

James Miller

Wildlife rehabilitation center and park. Child friendly and handicap accessible. Interesting and well worth a visit.

Michelle Neufeld

Park itself is great, the food service options are terrible and understaffed. Bring your own snacks and water.

Ryan Relph

Took my folks out for mother's day to see the spirit bear

Malkiat Basran

Very nice

Patti Phillips

love the BCWP! We are so blessed to have this amazing Park in our city! The staff work tirelessly to keep the animals healthy! Knute & Dawson were as funny as ever! ♡♡♡♡ the mother's day event was so fun!! ????????????❤

Ashley Taylor

Highly recommend this park to anybody, our son quite enjoyed seeing Spirit and the train ride. Giving them a three star rating because I found it a bit pricey for admission and food. I think the admission should be a little cheaper for families. But all in all we had a great experience at the park.

Francine Mader

Always a pleasure to visit this site. Cooler day today we saw more of the animals. Great for families. Accessible to all

zakrea hashim

Great place for kids and family, and great customer services, but the place needs more care.

Betsy Cow

So much fun seeing all the animals great for all ages

Ian Anderson

Great visit. Shame to see such animals needing care.

Bianca Brown

Fun day spent at the BC Wildlife Park! Lots to do and it's not just for kids. We got to see a birds of prey show and even saw falcon up close and got some pics with it. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Donna Ohman

Had a wonderful time and will be back again

Gillian Hogan

What a great experience. Loved the happy wolves.

Darian Edwards

Very cool, even in -10. Went at 1:00 for the warmest time of day. (And i think feeding time.) Seen most of the animals. The cougars were hiding out inside. Bears obviously still hibernating. Predator bird exibit was awesome.

Andrew Scott

Great place for family trips. Variety of mostly local animals, some education programs depedning on time/day. Kids love riding the mini locomotive.

Mario Disipio

It was a very hot day (32c) so we were unable to see many of the animals. It was enough to have to deal with the heat. Park would not provide any discount or refund. Would not recommend going on a hot day.

Billie McClure

Very nice for a family outing. Animals seemed well cared for, but I think it's more of a zoo than a wild life park.

Diane Brown

Well organised, clean, animals well kept and looked after, good facilities, shame covid has took away some of the education details away for children.

Ricardo Seah

Great place and though this is a late review I love how they had lights up during the Christmas season which made for good photos with the snow

Christie Cobbold

Total disorganization of a fund raising event. Put a damper on many peoples day. The park itself is very clean and a nice walk and play area for the kids. If only realizing one bbq and one hot chocolate container with one poor person cooking frozen hot dogs and taking payment was not going to be able to deal with the large crowd that surely they expected . Every stage was chaos. No one has a problem supporting the charity but it was over an hour to get a hotdog. Was not well thought out or set up. Today was a chance for the park to shine and bring people back again. Based on the conversations in line that I heard that will be a tough sell again sadly .

Deborah Loney

Great time of year to visit the wildlife park. Saw lots of animals including the grizzly bears, the kermode bear, moose, elk deer and bison. My grandchildren love the play area and the train ride through the park.

Kyle Nemeth

Funds go to supporting animals and wildlife in need. The employees and parks people are all friendly. There are plenty of different animals and wildlife to see throughout the park. The lights done for the holidays in the park were beautiful. It can be a fun and educational place for all ages, I'd reccommended it to anyone.

kimberley lupulack

I love the Wildlife Park!! My 4 year old granddaughter is my tour guide so every time is a different route! I always spend more time at the bears and Clover is my Favorite!!

Carol Sheppard

Incredible

Daphne Schliep

Incredible experience. Can't wait to go back

Donald Garrison

Love the light show and the train ride, always a great time! Been coming yearly for this event

Don Macarthur

Love the wildlights exhibit. It's always a spectacular experience. So many great displays. We did find it rather crowded compared to past years. Long line ups for the petting zoo and train and too many people crowding out the visitor center when you're trying to get outside to tour the park.

Adam Crossan

Very cool wildlife park with all rescued animals!

chris taylor

Great place with lots of variety when it comes to animals

Trevor Howe

Kids loved it. The big cats were hiding so we didn't manage to see them, but the staff were awesome and friendly.

Geoff Schnyder

Such a great place. Will always support the wildlife park. Don't miss out on the wildlights over Christmas either.

Geoff Schnyder

Such a great place. Will always support the wildlife park. Don't miss out on the wildlights over Christmas either.

mike steff

Enjoyed the park, the Grandchildren loved it. The looks on there faces was Perfect.

Daniel Rees

The service in the cafe sucks it's so slow you stand there and it feels like an hour just to get some food. But the parks okay

Conrad Dersch

This park is a wonderful time for all ages. Informative and engaged staff provide an extraordinary experience.

L G

Lovely visit here. Well kept animals and glad to see it is a rehabilitation facility also! Will definitely return when I'm back in the area

Sam Sam

Very nice park. Stroller and family friendly. I was about to use my GVZOO pass here.

wayne liang

Good place to see animals. But not much shade to cover from hot sun in summer time.

Karan O'Toole

Wonderful wildlife park taking in animals that have been injured and taking care of them. Beautiful insight to how they may live in the wild.

Demetrio Quezada

An organization on a mission to assist injured and orphaned wildlife. Any wildlife you missed hiking you'll find them here and assist an organization with a humane outlook.

Thomas Phelan

Great place to bring your kids!

Matthew

This is my favourite wildlife park that I've been to so far. Always filled with animals who actually look happy to be there and not in stress. Prices are reasonable and inside they have very good food.

LeeAnne Christen

not impressed with having to pay full price for an outdoor lightshow in the - 30 freezing weather; were not informed what that price included nor excluded; so when we looked for repose on the train; had to pay extra to do so.. light show was fantastic; but not really worth the price; vs .. going around kamloops and accessing streets with out door lights .. just as exciting as this was; however; we did enjoy supporting this great cause for the Wildlife

Grace Armstrong

Such a lovely well kept park with a great goal in mind! Well priced. Can get very hot and most animals hide out to escape the heat.

Jamie Jangula

Always such a fun experience visiting the wildlife park!

Michael Collins

This is a great place to spend a couple of hours wandering around in a relaxed atmosphere while staying at Kamloops. It allows you to see the local animals including grizzly bears that you might not otherwise see, and it helps fund the park's animal recovery programme. Enjoy a cold drink or coffee after the walk to complete an enjoyable morning or afternoon.

呂碩琦

It's 36 degrees today in July. You have to be patiently waiting for wild life waking up from heat.

Kunmi Akarakiri

This place was the first time I would be seeing different forms of eagles live. It was a nice and colorful park. The kids, who went together with us,had exciting fun.

Rick Lionel

The campfires really highlighted our three visits to the Wildlights festival. The campfires are integral to Wildlights. Again next year we'll plan our visit so that the campfires are halfway through our journey of 600,000 lights. Nothing like sipping a hot chocolate by the supervised/regulated campfire. The campfire experience is special and greatly enhances our love for the Wildlights experience. The Kamloops Wildlights experience beats out those from other Zoos -- well done everyone.

Brando T

Bright lights and hot apple cider. What more could you ask for during wild lights?

Frankie Flores

It's great

Austin Moore

This park is amazing!! They only have animals from B.C which were completely awesome! Walking around was a bit of a hike because it was super hot when I went but I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were super friendly when asking them any questions!

Pierre Etienne

What a great facility! They have a Albino grizzly (Kermode) from up north near Terrace BC. This wildlife park is a hit with locals and tourists alike...a huge selection of wildlife with interactive tours for adults and kids. Food, beverages and a cool place to sit inside...friendly and knowledgeable staff.

G Moore

Love the wild light we have gone for the past 15 Christmases, if you can please support this magical place they help out so many wild life and have an amazing learning center, great for all ages

James McBeath

A well maintained wildlife park with interesting BC focussed exhibits

Tina Alexander

Loved visiting the animals. So lovely. Couldn't see the brown & kermode bear tho.

Amy Painchaud Bloos

My family had a lovely time seeing the Wildlights at BC Wildlife Park. If ever you are in Kamloops during this event I would strongly recommend that you check it out. There are a wide variety of lights to look at and the walk around the grounds was very pleasant. There weren't very many animals out but we did get to see the caribou feeding which was really cool. This is a must see!

Heather Alter-McGrath

This zoo is a really cute place to visit. If you get a chance to visit in the winter, I highly recommend going because not only is it a zoo during the holiday season it is also a festive light show. They serve hot chocolate for $2.00 and hot dogs for $1.00 there is also an area to pet goats and sheep. The people who worked there are really friendly and the gift shop was fun to look around in too.

stephen davies

Great place and train was running so extra special. Birds of prey presentation was awesome too.

Peter Geh

Great well cared for park. Lots if fun stuff to do for the kids as well (aside from the animals) theres a playground, spray park, sandbox, maze and mini train.

Jessica Pana

This place is really cool! It’s not like a regular zoo - here you can get quite close to the animals. The animals also seemed really happy and stimulated. We were there at the perfect time where we saw almost all the bears getting fed. We could hear them walk by a snort!

John Dittrich

Great spot especially with grandchildren. Check the official website for hours as they are closed on weedays in winter. This review site has the wrong hours.

Peter Olsen

The BC Wildlife Park is a hugely popular park, housing wildlife, indigenous to BC. The star attraction is the kermode "spirit bear", Clover, who attracts thousands of visitors yearly, from around the world. It's the perfect mix of wildlife conservation, education and family friendly entertainment. The park also hosts holiday themed events for Easter, Mother's and Father's Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween and the brilliantly colourful Wildlights ever Christmas season. It's a true gem in Kamloops, BC

Sam Gaudet

Fantastic wildlife experience. Guides and staff were absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and professional. We will return every year to see our new friends and family.

Meighan Mckinley

Great place to take the family. Lots of fun, and very informative. There's lots of places for picnics and a great little playground with splash park to cool down on warmer days can't wait to go back!

Cecily Hilverda

I love animals and the BC wildlife park helps give injured animals a chance to live a better, longer life. It's a great place to go if you want to get better educated on certain animals as well. Staff is great! Fun environment :)

Alexandria Andison

Great place to take little ones to explore and tucker them out. Loved it.

Mr. Hayward

Go during the summer - some of the displays are empty in the late fall, winter, and early spring

Jessica Drid

Amazing place to go!

Bear Morrisey

Awesome light display

Uri Freno

Amazing place, amazing people doing amazing things. And there was a goat in a coat!

Lauren Bryant

Love the Bc wildlife park, it always has such amazing events for the children. Well done everyone! And thank you!!

Rainy Gagnon

I am absolutley in love with this park. Their Rehab program is amazing. The volunteers are amazing and always ready to answer questions. We buy a year pass and you get into the greater Vancouver Zoo for free. Help support this amazing sanctuary.

Jenn Khoei

Great spot! Lots of animals and information, my kids loved it????

Clayton Bucoviz

Friendly staff, a fun water park for the kids and adults to cool off during the hot Okanagan summers. The animal all look very well cared for and are in decent sized enclosures which also mimic their habitats. The food is typical hotdog and drink style park food, the food is a little pricey. Great place to take kids, safe and smoke free environment.

Doyle Allan

One day I'll see the kermode, they ate always inside or hiding, also I'd like to do the falls walk but you would ha e to call in advance to see if the season is open.

Lovely Fatma

Informatve about wild life ..I lived the train which took us through the park ..there were not a lot of animals to see

Nordin Asher

This was one of those places you expect to spend, maybe an hour at…we ended up spending the day. The the British Columbia Wildlife Park is 43 hectares of zoological creativity. All the birds and animals here are rescued, and are either in the process of rehabilitation, for release, or are long term residents, because of an impairment or permanent injury and an inability to survive in the wild. Enclosures here, are typically free range open space, within perimeter fencing. The Mountain Goat enclosure, for example, has much of the mountainside - included in their enclosure. The park boasts an expansive, and impressive, open air amphitheater, at which they feature ‘Birds of Prey’ demonstrations - worth the modest price of admission, alone. They also offer up-close and very informative presentations, on the more exotic animals in their care. The B.C. Wildlife Park offers all manner of information on the birds and animals of this part of the world. The staff here are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, putting this special park, over-the-top, for a five star recommendation as a must experience destination.

Stacey Swift

Wildlights was amazing! Kids loved to see the interpretative center and the animals. Thank goodness thr weather cooperated! We enjoyed cocoa by the fire and a train ride. We were very happy to see so many animals, especially the elk, and the petting zoo. Thank you.

Wanda Hall

Fun.

Wanda Hall

Fun.

mrs mcleod

during off season when animals are not visible there shoulf be a discounted price. felt like jurassic park....are there any animals on this tour?

Sarah Chiasson

Very well taken care of wildlife park!! Beautiful and happy animals. Caring staff and great experience!

S T

Love this place. Great atmosphere year round. If you have a family and go more than twice a year buy the annual pass.

John Reid

Had a great afternoon here. Staff are friendly and polite. The animals were out for the most part. Sure liked the train ride

LINDA MCNEILL

Went in the first week of October, It was awesome, would recommend great zoo.

AntlerAddict Exploration

Awesome spot definitely recommend to anyone visiting or residing in the Kamloops area. I got every 3 months or so.

A Tolentino

Clean, courteous people, well kept animals, nice cafeteria, great experience!

Jody Paton

Bring the whole family!

David Gebala

pretty great establishment where all the animals are rescues but if you are Canadian then you have probably already seen all these animals first hand in the wild.

Dianne L

When our kids were little we always had a family pass each year. I’m sure that we did this until our youngest was in her early teens. We loved to take our kids and their grandma here for a visit when she was visiting us from Abbotsford, B.C. This was years ago and now our kids take our grandchildren to the Wildlife Park on a regular basis. I would recommend this park to anyone with or without children. The Christmas Wild lights is a beautiful time to go see the lights on display. It’s a gorgeous display of the park all lit up. Even the train is lit up. I’m not sure if they are still doing this with Covid 19 going on. I would recommend calling ahead to find out if they are still doing this.

Micah Davidson

Great place! They care for the animals they have. Animals seemed much more active then other Zoo's in the USA.

Katelyn Barbour

So cool! My son loved seeing all the animals!

Julie Germyn

Such a great family park lots to do with walking the trails to see the animals, train ride, a little park for the kids, picnic area and a gift shop! I would recommend checking it out!

Amar Damji

Good place to visit and reasonable. Unfortunately when we visited they were in evacuation alert.

Chaz Peterhans

At this time of year,it is so beautiful and peaceful there! Great way to get out of house and enjoy the fresh air. I have been going to the wildlife park since I was 3 yrs old and hope one day to be enjoying it with my own children.

Sam Yin

Visited this zoo with my wife in a hot summer day and we loved it.it’s a one hour and half walk for the whole park and u could choose to take a train for a tour. Saw two cute grizzly bears swimming in the pool which is lovely. Highly recommend for a family tour. It’s a most visit place in Kamloops.

Dave Findlater

Great Place for all! Staff was great, very informative and lot of behind the scenes kind of talk. We will be back! Rent a wagon! So worth it especially if you have kids and all their stuff.

Patrick Ebert

Great place to take the kids

Ken Coupland

Excellent facilities...animals are well cared for..good place to see widlife for kids

Marilyn Troscianczuk

Nice place with what appear to be well cared for native to BC animals

Catherine Fitzpatrick

It's just a really fun and informative place to spend the day with your family.

Jamie Heuberger

We went at Christmas for the light display. The animals where tucked away for yhe night and cold weather. It was a nice walk seeing the Xmas lights. A couple fires to stand by. I enjoyed it.

Dorthy Quinlil

BC Wildlife Park is one of the only "zoos" that I support. They only keep abandoned and injured animals, or animals that could not be released to the wild. The animals are well cared for and have plenty of enrichment. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves animals, or to families as a family outing.

Joy Brown

Great place for families

C Francis

Beautiful place, all the animal caretakers know the animals and their stories well. The wild animal hospital is also exceptional I've taken an animal in before and been very impressed. The events that they hold here are always wonderful.

Steven Payne

Wild lights are great

Corey White

Nice family place. My wife and I went with our 5 kids ages 2 to 13. Everyone enjoyed it.

Renae Kashino

Wildlights were amazing My first time & will be back ????

AnnDrewApicture Across Canada

Great fun with the family!!

Selena M

Half of the big ticket animals you can't see like the cougar, black bear, deer, lynx and moose. #20 enclosure is supposed to be the moose which is no longer there but I saw there was supposed to be one on the website. Otherwise I was impressed with the layout and children's activities, gift shop was great and prices were reasonable.

Kim Jensen

A great place to enjoy a quiet nature walk and to observe wildlife.

Tyson

Wildlights around Christmas is always an awesome time! It's a great place to visit in the summer time too! A must if visiting Kamloops!

Brenda Sherwood

Half the park was closed due to work projects. No notification that I noticed going in about this. Luckily we have season passes. I would have been pretty annoyed to pay full price for half a park.

Nathan Bartlett

The bears and petting zoo are especially a hit with the kids. And, we've seen Safari Jeff at the amphitheatre two years in a row, and the kids love to see the lizards and tortoises up close. But there are lots of other things to keep the kids' attention here. The train ride is definitely worth it for such a low cost, and there's also a maze, water spray park, and playground.

Jonathen Strebchuk

Great place. The train is the highlight for sure, giving you a great (quick) tour of the park

Dave P

Its was a good time

Trenia Chisholm

I only been there once at night for Halloween. It was fun cool place

dennis bullen

Wild Nights was Amazing

cody savitskoff

Absolutely love the wildlife park. If you have kids or are on vacation, this is a must! If you are around Kamloops in December don't forget wildlights!

Angie Dixon

Went out for "Wildnights" loved it. I'll have to go out in the summer ,so we can see all the animals too.

Mike T

It was pretty good I thought the price was a little high but lots of displays

Clyde Caballero

Place is nice for small kids, took us a little bit more than an hour to see the whole place

Ben Schmidt

Finally got to see Clover. Grizzlys were being fed

Kathleen Schable

I have been visiting the Wildlife Park since 1992 when we moved to Kamloops. The animals and facilities are all well taken care of. Staff is friendly and informative. It is a great place to take the family for a stroll in the fresh air while finding all the different animals. I love the feeding times when you get to learn more about the featured animal. The mini train is always a must-do with the kiddos. The kids play area is great fun all year round and love the water spray area in the summer. I am thankful we have the Wildlife Park in our city!

Robyn Edwards

Pro's-Very clean park, beautiful exploration center and spacious birds of prey exhibit. Staff friendly and helpful. Con's-Some of the animal exhibits felt small for the animal. Not as many animals as I expected.

Tatyana Davies

Amazing grounds and lots of activities to do and see. Gift shop has great quality made items. Food is delicious specially the onion rings and icecream.

bhuvan chaturvedi

Needs more animals. Overall good place for family outing.

Paul Möller

It's nice, has a good amount of animals. If you really want to spend time there and see everything, look out for animals, you can spend 2-3 hours there. But don't go there if it's too hot, most animals will stay hidden. That's not the problem, but the Park does not have enough animals to make a visit worth it if half of them are in their houses

Sarah Yang

Almost no animals in the zoo. Bad experience!Wasting time wasting money. Trains are closed. I didn’t see any bears.

Rvtech Jim

Great time the grand kids loved it

Jennifer Sterling

Great way to see all the wild BC animals. Loved they were in their natural habitat and most were rescues that would no longer survive in the wild. Sadly we couldn't find the kermode bear, and there were no lynx this time, but gives us a reason to go back again.

Indeanna Smith

Don't eat the food to pricy and food quality was very poor. All the animal stuff was cool and the gift store was awesome and the girls in the gift store was awesome customer service.

Peter Nelson

Fantastic place with moral values. Am generally anti wildlife parks and zoos, but this place is mostly rescue animals so is a plus in my books. Also rehab some animals that can be released so all is good

jaegyu gwak

This place is amazing! We dropped by this place on our way to the home and it was a right choice. If you like animals, this is the place.

Rosalee

The whole family loved the wildlights. Fiance and his kids have never been to the park. Can not wait to take them again when it gets warmer. Look forward to showing them my favorite place to go. Very friendly and helpful staff

Dayle George

My kids and i loved it.

Jason Bailey

2nd visit here & it's a nice place to spend a few hrs walking around looking at things. The mini train is always fun !!!

Mark H

Had a great time, even without great weather. This place is easy to find, and well worth the $15 admission. Staff were very friendly and informative and the place was very clean and well-kept. Good views of the animals that weren't hiding...only downside for us, was that the moose wasn't on display this time around. Guess we will just have to visit again!

UberMC Business

The enclosures at BC Wildlife park seem significantly mores spacious and natural compared to zoos, I'm very happy to visit this place. The trails are gorgeous

Steven Dunks

Fantastic stop. No need to spend all day there, just a few hours. Plenty of animals on offer and a nice small train ride though the park. Very educational and kids loved it. Another must stop place while in Kamloops.

Rienie Paulus

Nice family place to visit

Justin Daniels

Fun park, lots to do, wildlights are a blast in the winter and the animals are fun in the summer.

Sierra McDavid

Favourite place in kamloops! Nice gift shop and cafe and the animals are well treated I love it.

rylee upton

We got lucky coming here, the grizzlies had only just arised from their annual slumber. The bears we're super playful and spent most of the time putting on a show of brotherly love for us. There is no shortage on things to see or do at the park with with such a wide variety of wildlife. Id highly recommend the park to anyone traveling through/from Kamloops who has any love for seeing rescued animals in a nice caring environment. They even put on live animal displays! Not very often you'd get to see and touch a tame snake in BC!

Jean Campbell

Great place for families. Lots to see and do. Love the little train and the animal feedings. The discovery center is great.

Jason Smith

An excellent visit with many well cared for animals and a beautiful facility!

Dale Bass

Not just another zoo. Animals are in incredible habitats. Petting zooand educational program are excellent.

Dayton Skei

A fun spot just outside Kamloops that is suitable for all ages. Bison, mountain goats, bears and more. Educational and its nice to know the animals were all rescued/being rehabilitated. Also the guy - turkey is sassy af.

Muhphysto G

We had a blast with out 1.5yr old. Saw a good amount of the animals gave her a snack an had time to get back home before nap. We look forward to coming back soon to see even more there is!

Mitchell Clark

A great place for Kids! The Wildlife park puts on events all year that are a joy to experience with your kids. From the huge Christmas lights display and winter events, Easter and summer animal variety, bring your kids to run and walk around exploring all of the sights it offers. School groups, quick stop-ins and anything gin between, the Wildlife Park offers food and playground to entertain the family for hours. I would love to see more people take advantage of Kamloops Wildlife Park in order for it to continue growing and improving.

Richard Winters

The price is great for the amount of things you'll see.

Shel C

Saw more than I expected. I would recommend if you love animals or if you have some time to kill

Edward Kawa

Affordable fun! The animals are treated well. The little train ride is great fun for kids.

James Ross

Seen more animals than when we went to greater Vancouver zoo ad bit cheaper to get in

Nancy A

They have mostly wildlife from within Canada, so if that's what you want to see it's great! They have some great play spaces for kids, and a neat little train you can ride on.

Kris Wilk

Been here for both the Christmas wild lights and in the summer, always enjoy learning something new every time I go. They have a petting area too. Pretty neat being able to get up close to alot of animals you would never usually get to see! They also have a mini train that takes you around the park for a small fee. There is also a large gift shop!

Nol P

A nice family tradition for us each year as we went last night with nicely arranged fire pits and new visually striking displays each year but to gain 5 stars, please email back when emailed to and select a staff member who can email back and is capable. A full week before we went and no reply all this time! I had a couple questions only. Plus maybe some lights in place to see Elk and Moose etc. And why are you still charging an extra dollar for the train???, as the coffees etc are already pretty high priced and seems like a money making ploy then, yes? We are already paying a good buck for the ticket per person. More activities too would be good, not just the clown guy year after year. Just trying to help is all! Still 4 stars in place.

Colleen Burk

This is a wonderful Family day outing. Been bringing my kids for years and it's always a new experience

Mandy Keeping

Had a good trip. Was nice to see all the animals. Reasonably priced.

Matt & Toni Jones

These guys do great work and it was awesome to be able to see these beautiful animals so close up and they all looked so well cared for.

Devin Nahanee

Fantastic place to bring the family. My children enjoyed all of the park end to end, from animals to play park to multiple train rides. Not a bank breaker either. Easy to find, lots of parking. Decent onsite cafe too.

Alistair Elliot

Nothing beats Wild Lights at Christmas time...#Kamloops

Brian Wilson

When for the first time in about 20 years with my 6 year old daughter and my wife. It wasn't a hot day so it wasn't too busy which also made it pretty easy to see most of the animals. Took us about 2 hours to see it all plus a few minutes to stop for a snow cone. Social distancing was being encouraged and there was hand sanitizer available through most of the park. Most specialized viewing areas had a limit on the number of people at one time and most people were being respectful but there are always a few... Good way to spend a Saturday morning.

Colin Regan

Great for families ???? friendly staff and fun ($1) train rides!

Eryn Sundman

My family and I love going to the BC wildlife park. We love walking around and learning new things. They also have great holiday themed attractions.

Dayna Faulkner

This place is so fun ! We spent way more time there than we thought. Maria and James at the goat station are absolutely lovely .They made our day with knowledge of the park and were just so great to chat with.I was a bit apprehensive at first that is was a zoo but with further research we found out it is a rehabilitation place for hurt or abandoned animals .The map will guide you through the park by numbers and at each station there are write ups about how the animals got there and why. Don't miss the porcupine !!! I had no idea porcupines could climb trees and walk backwards down the cage ! So interesting to see the white bear playing in the water and the cute little train ride is a must .We don't have kids but there is a super awesome water park to cool you and your kiddos down .Ohh and I almost forgot the falcon show !!! The trainer is so sweet and caring towards her. If she isn't too pooped you could get pic with them and get a close up view of this powerful bird .Wear comfy walking shoes and bring sun lotion. There is a huge parking lot and lots to see inside too.We loved this place and so happy we went .

Marguerite Herron

Loved seeing all the animals, highlight for me was feeding the moose, excellent facilities, friendly staff, and all reasonably priced.

Summa Lai

my family spent about two hours here. my son like the mini train a lot, only $1. don't miss it.

Junsang Yoo

Well organized. Great place for kids education. $1 for the train ride but accept only cash, so bring some changes.

Jeff Bates

Awesome park too.

Shashank Bhatt

Amazing experience for discovering the wild life in BC/Canada, value for the money

Ben Peters

It was awesome we only missed the camel and the bobcat and the badgers was covered he must have been sick

Sherron James

Beautiful ❤️ day at Kamloops wildlife park

Rita

visited for Christmas Wildlights Display. It was fun! They had small fires outside to warm up, an antique train ran by retired engineers that takes you round the park, maze, pets, bird exhibits and novelty shop.

Elizabeth F

Cool wildlife park price a little steep $17 for a adult

Tracie Stewart

The wildlife project is amazing. They have many of the local(regional) animals in a natural habitat. The park offers a train ride through the park for those that do not want to walk. They also care for injured and orphaned animals. These they keep seperate from the domesticated animals as they prefer them to continue to dislike and maybe even dear people so they can be returned to the wild. A must see I Kamloops BC

Angelina Jenkins

Very friendly, lots to experience and things to look at. Knowledgeable staff, year long events for children and families.

Michael Sinclair

It. Was great to walk to see all the anaimls

NIKKI MCKENZIE

Always a good time. Train was running after covid restrictions and limitations from last year. All the animals were well cared for and we learned a lot about different local species.

Moe Kamis

Beautiful. Lots of fun. My kids were thrilled to watch a live performance of one of their favorite treehouse character while visiting the park.

Erin Lutz

Great place, friendly staff, great animals in a very natural setting

Chris White

Great place super value they should charge more!

Aad Blokland

Finally we could see Grizzlies without fear to be attacked. Black Bears in all coulours. The moose was so cute...

John Jenkins

Fun place for all and great concerts. Just seen George Canyon, Sean Austin and county line . Fun at Christmas too with the lights etc.

James Decoine

Been visiting this place for 30 years. Today the customer service was very poor, had a lady working the gift shop snap at the wife and later jump out the side door just to finger us well driving away with are 4 children. It was not worth the 80$ to go for a hr gander in the park, if you get time go for a drive check out aldergrove zoo fraction of the cost and friendly staff. Will be taking a long break from this establishment.

Marg Clements

An unbelievable experience. .especially for children. The entire staff are awesome and their knowledge and love for the animals is above and beyond. So proud to have the park here in Kamloops but it is obvious that it attracts people from everywhere. The bc wildlife park is a must do!

Ben n

Went to see the Lights, worth the visit

Lowell Williams

Great place to see some interesting animals. Bears are in hibernation now.

Tim Lukaniuk

Really awesome place, all or nearly all the animals are rescued, well laid out and the kids really enjoyed it.
