You have all the feddbacks of real people who buy the products of Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre (Zoo) in the area close to Banff (Canada).
At this moment the firm receives a score of 4.2 stars out of 5 and this score was based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is really positive, and it is founded on a large number of reviews, so we can say that the rating is quite accurate. If people have bothered to value when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to give scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Zoo is classified in the category of Wildlife refuge.
Loved it. We only stopped a short while because we had our dog with us. (It was too hot to leave him in the vehicle). All but 1 of the wolves were sleeping. Would like to go back!
I learned a lot from the short guided tour and it was great to see the wolfs and strongly recommend for kids
Great place to learn about the importance of wolves in our ecosystem. The staff (partially volunteer run) talks about the situation between Yellowstone National Park and Canada, when some wolves were borrowed in order to up the wolf population. Lots of other important things covered. Saw a few wolves behind very tall fences. You can stay for as long as you want. The talk is about 20 minutes and you can sit on wooden benches during it. There is also a little gift shop. Tickets were about $12 each, cash only. Not a lot of parking, maybe 8 spots.
It was a nice place to visit. They accept cash only but if you do not have any they have a bank ATM on site
The wolves are beautiful and healthy. The staff is friendly and informative. Definitely worth a visit
Payed 12$ to look at 4 sad wolves in small cages. Feels like a scam and the wolves don’t seem to be in a healthy environment. This is the wackest establishment in golden and maybe even the province.
Lovely talk from the staff and the wolves are so nice but it's just a bit sad seeing them in cages.
Definitely worth the visit! We learned a LOT and there needs to be way more awareness about wolves and how B.C treats them. It's quite sickening. I recommend stopping by for sure
The young wolf was active. The others, not so much. The lesson about wolves was well presented and interesting.
Great to see such happy wolves up close and learn a lot of their plight and importance.
Very informative /educational. Animal s seed well cared for
My boyfriend, son and myself went to visit this Wolf Center expecting a very different experience. The website states it's an interactive facility that allows you to walk with the wolves in a sanctuary type environment. We paid, went in and found a presentation/anti-government/save the wolves speech just wrapping up. The place is poorly maintained. The wolves appear to be suffering from malnutrition and are split up amongst several small cages... despite wolves being pack animals. The facility made us feel very uncomfortable and our 8 year old son was quite disappointed. I feel our entry fee went to the facility staff marijuana habit rather than caring for the inhumanely caged wolves. The presentation was of a somewhat paranoid conspiracy theorist, not of an individual truly trying to save wolves. I am highly displeased but felt it was inappropriate to request reimbursement. Word of advise, skip this place and don't waste your money! It wasn't the wolves huffing and puffing. It was the staff.
One of the greatest experiences we had on our holiday. Pride of ownership and passion exudes from all staff. Wonderful thing they are doing for the wolves, every penny counts towards them. Take it in if you’re in the area!!
It is a great place to go and see some wolves. However, it gets a bit political for my taste. (Government involvement and/or lack of involvement in parks affairs, etc)
Great place, definitely worth a visit on your way through.
This is an out of the way Gem. Difficult to see wolves in the wild. Stop here as the staff is passionate about helping orphaned and injured wolves. Money better spent here than a zoo.
Glad we went in spite of some negative reviews. The center was really cool, and we had a great time watching the 7 wolves and learning about them from a really well informed, interesting and professional guide. I’d recommend a visit to any animal lover.
The wolfs are cool to see and experience. The employees are happy to help. The tour was OK, but was a tad heavy on the save the wolfs side.
This was a disappointing experience. Whilst the information session was interesting there were only two cages to view four wolves. Over priced for information that you could google and in comparison to the wolves we see in Calgary zoo, it was a let down. I wouldn't recommend visiting.
Excellent and great information about current status and efforts.
Such a great experience! There were 6 wolves there in total, and two large enclosures. The staff presented a very informative and educational speech about the history of the centre and their wolves in particular, information about wolves in general, and the importance of wolves for biodiversity in ecosystems. Definitely a worthy cause and you get to see some beautiful animals enjoying their lives!
Loved the Northern Lights Wildlife Centre. Knowledgeable information and lovely staff.
Really cool experience. The guides are very informative and we got to listen to the wolves howl for several minutes which was just incredible. Great for Kids and Adults!
Pretty cool place! It is quite small with only a few wolves but they did a great little educational session and it's very clear that those animals are loved and well taken care of
Very cool and informative place to go and visit the wolves! Learned so much about their lives and the efforts to maintain their population. Staff were friendly and so knowledgeable. Inexpensive way to spend a couple hours and learn something! Would love to return again sometime.
A group of us went for their photography walk and it couldn't have been a better time. Shelly and Casey were so much fun to chat with and really took care of everything. They also made sure that we got some great pictures and had some memorable interactions with the wolves. I would recommend this adventure to anyone and hope to go back sometime soon
Beautiful, well cared for animals, very informative.
Very informative!
Really neat to see the wolves and the guide was fantastic. Unfortunately, we recieved a passionate lecture from one of the owners that included profanity - even though there were children around.
Awesome stop.
Definitely not worth the stop. Very small enclosures, similar to going to the zoo.. If you care, donate your money to an organization that actually contributes to the conservation of wolves.
Absolutely amazing experience I never thought I would go for a walk through the Canadian Rockies with a wolf. Farley was the name of the wolf on our tour and he had a better recall than most dogs. The highlight was probably watching him wrestle with his doggie friend Yogi. The tour guides were lovely and I can't recommend this place enough.
We were expecting a 'pack of wolves'. A bit disappointed to see only 4 wolves. The guide was very informative and helpful though.
This was a wonderful stop during a long roadtrip for me. Emma was great to talk to, and could answer even my most random questions! Lots of knowledge and love for the animals here. Would recommend to everyone to stop here, and meet the wolves and the people working here!
Enjoyed our brief visit - passionate presentation from an informative guide. It's a pretty informal place so don't expect a thorough tour or vast enclosures.
They have 7 wolves in pens with double chain link fencing. So, cannot take good photos. Other sanctuaries I have been too have the wolves in a raised open area, but still with fencing and trees, so we could see the wolves and take photos. They have interesting signage. They give a talk about their wolves and wolves in general. They are against the cull of wolves, which the government's of BC and Alberta do. They have an outhouse and a gift shop.
Interesting and informative place to see and learn about wolves. The wolves housed here because they cannot be let back into the wild. The well trained staffed provided interesting factual information about the wolves and all how the modern world impacts wolves. Even if you don't have a big interest in wolves you'll find a visit a few hours well spent.
Casey and Shelly are passionate about what they do. North American Wolf conservation is better off thanks to their educating hundreds of thousands of visitors over the last decade.
Would have loved to pet the wolves, plus articles at their gift shop were a little expensive, they don't accept debit or credit only cash and the ATM they have there wasn't working. But the wolves were absolutely amazing even from behind the fence! ????????
A great place to stop and get up close with a pack of rescued grey wolves from across Canada. Keepers are clearly very passionate about their work, and keen to spread the word of conservation and environmental recovery to visitors. Bear in mind this might come across a little strong if you're expecting a fluffy, light-hearted experience... The story of these animals and their declining ecosystem remains an underlying tone throughout the visit, which though poignant is delivered with a smile and shared in a way which encourages proactivity from guests.
Please don't go there. It's not worth your time and money. They have 4 wolves in cages that look like dogs. Very disappointed. Don't waste your time.????????
It was okay, definitely not overpriced by any means but with that being said its kind of hard to see the wolves due to the two seperate sets of fencing, the gift shop was probably better than the exhibit itself
The kids lived it. We got up close and personal with the 6 wolves that lived there, howling with them and then seeing them get excited at feeding time. Very informative presentation too.
If I had the option, I would give a ZERO review to this place. It definitely feels like a SCAM. You pay $12 to see the wolves inside two small cages and it doesn't seem to be a healthy environment at all. If you love animals this is not the right place to visit and support, I regretted it so much. It was really heartbreaking. Also, the owner was really rude and she gave us really bad customer service.
Great experience and educational about Wolves. The lady who gave us the presentation loved her job and was very well spoken. The owners were extremely friendly and went out of their way to look after us What else can I say about the Wolves, they were Mesmerizing, well cared for and magnificent Must visit if you are in Golden, BC and an animal lover Good job guys!
Great place to get close to these lovely animals, staff were very knowledgeable.
Great information. Nice place.
Solid information about wolves. Interesting for kids too. Wolves put on a good show for us at walk time.
Beautiful spot ❤ Would definitely recommend! Knowledgeable & friendly staff. Learned great info. Will go back!
Great place to visit and learn about wolves!
When we took our young granddaughters to see the wolves when entering the facility we were informed there were 7 wolves on the property. We were all very excited to see them. We then paid our entry fee and the gentleman told us the wolves are very lazy today as we fed them yesterday. He knew we had two very young ones with us knowing the wolves were in a “food coma” as they called it and we tried to point out the sleeping wolves at a great distance and the girls were very disappointed. We were in the facility less than 10 minutes and the fee for the was ridiculous!! I would not recommend this facility if you’re going on a day after they’ve been fed. We would have happily left a donation to be able to see the sleeping wolves but were very disappointed!!
What an amazing experience! Casey and Shelley took us for a walk with the wolves to the river. When the wolves are comfortable with u they will come up for a cuddle. Lots of great photo opportunities - thanks guys!
Walking through the woods with a pack of wolves (3). How neat is that. We had ample photographic opportunities and learned a lot about wolves!
If it wasn't for the signs on the highway, we wouldn't have known about this magical place. We absolutely loved the information they gave us. If you're in the area this place is a must see. We will definitely be back when our girls are 16 and able to do the hike. Yes! You can go out on a hike with these beauties. Check their Facebook page.
Who doesn't want to see wolves. Awesome staff. Buy some merch.
Amazing experience and good awareness about wolves. Killing of wolves should be stopped!
Great place to see & learn so many things about wolves. They have a cool gift shop too.
It was awesome! Thank you so mutch for the great time. We really enjoyed the tour and the Wolfes. The puppy was very sweet and we felt in love with it the moment we saw it. Also a huge thank you to Michaela who took her time for us and explained every question we had. We'll come back next spring for one of the amazing photo tours! Defenetly worth a visit for small and big!
Entertaining and cute wolves. Also great to learn more about wolves.
very cute place. A lot of good information provided!
A closeup look at wolves and lots of great information. This group is clearly passionate about conservation and we were happy to support them with a visit.
Was disappointed in that there were only 4 wolves 2 of which were a long ways away to see, and 1 4 month old timid pup almost $40 to see that and here a talk for 15 mins not worth it at all
My fiancee and I had been wanting to do this for a long time and in September 2019 we did. This was an amazing experience, all the staff were fantastic, knowledgeable, and passionate. Shelley and the staff also helped me plan and set up a proposal to my girlfriend (now fiancee). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Friendly staff! Amazing time with the wolves
We went for a hike with the beautiful Flora! It was an amazing experience to take a walk with one of these majestic wolves and learn about them. It was a great opportunity to take some amazing photos of Flora in her natural wilderness! Shelly was a great handler and lovely to talk to! I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone going to Golden / Banff area!
Ultimate experience
Very well managed and so awesome to see the Wolves.
What an incredible experience, the wolves are beautiful and the information provided about them was well put together and appealed to the young and old in our group. Thanks for some great memories!
Walking with Wolves was the experience of a lifetime! I'll miss you, Flora! A wonderful place to learn about wolves and help to save them.
For the low price this place is well worth it. It is incredibly informational and informative. It is a small little location, so don't plan on spending more than an hour.
We noticed the signs on the way to BC and we decided to stop on the way home. Glad we did. The knowledge the staff has and how well the wolves are taken care of is amazing. We will be back.
The staff here are very knowledgable and I learned a lot on the tour even though I've already been here before 2 years ago. Beware that they are cash only so bring cash or be prepared to withdraw from the on site ATM. Definitely recommend if you have time in Golden
I love the wolves here, they were very active and eating a fresh deer. The staff was quite imformative. The place is a little small and it isnt easy to see all the wolf pens.
Great place to see wolves up close. The wolves are well taken care of and the staff are knowledgeable.
Love it!, very interesting.
This place is a must see in BC. The place is amazing! We visited last Friday. Very caring and knowledgeable staff that really cares about these majestic animals! Very reasonable entry price and lots of cute stuffies and crafts to purchase. Please donate! Definitely will stop on the next trip to BC.
Wonderful experience. So glad these wolves were saved from certain death. Keep up the amazing work! Save the wolves
They don't let you see much only afew wolves and 3 cages.. so.. its more for an older bunch who wants to listen to the guy tell the facts.. I brought the kids(1,3,11) there are afew toys for them to play with but it wasn't really for them.
Very interesting and informative visit, good to hear the real story of wolves in Canada rather than the published version.
Completely amazing. Incredibly informative, the wolves are so very well looked after. Would 100% recommend stopping!
The staff are quite stuck up. I didnt like how they spoke to people who were simply asking questions and whom were obviously unknowledgeable but interested . Almost as if they were looking down on them and would roll their eyes when they would finish a conversation.
Very kind and knowledgeable staff and the wolves are gorgeous. Got to enjoy 10 minutes of howls from every wolf on the property. A magical experience.
Great place to visit. The staff was great to deal with. We learned a lot and had a great time. I’d recommend it to anyone
Great place to learn about Wolves!
Great wolf education!
A safe haven for the wolves but heartbreaking to learn about the issues going on now
Absolutely loved it. I really recommend getting the tour with one of the staff members. Learn all about wolves. They also have very cute and wild half dog half wolf.
DO NOT MAKE A TRIP just to go there. You'll not find a "sanctuary." It is a backyard with large cages. To walk with wolves be prepared to pay more than 300CAD… To visit the cages be prepared to spend about 13CAD/PP... So... Yeah, it is ok if you never went to a zoo to look at wolves in a cage. If you see pictures of nice landscapes with wolves, you can be sure that that's not the place you're visiting!
Great experience :) staff were knowledgeable and friendly
Fantastic! The staff really know their stuff! Aware of conservation issues and wolf and other animal facts. And you can see the wolves nice and close. We would love to go back during the summer when you can do the “walk” with wolves out in the open. A pretty simple facility however. A little more $ than we expected. 6 wolves we could see up close.
It was cool to see the wolves and the guide that spike of the wolves seemed very well informed but it was a bit smaller and underwhelming than what I expected. Only one wolf was in easy visibility. I am not sure what I expected but somehow more. At the same time they should be applauded for their efforts on behalf of these amazing creatures, if you believe in the cause of supporting wolves in the wild think of your entrance fee (which was very fair) as a donation to a worthy cause. The gift shop also has a nice range of goods.
Get up close to wolves in a safe environment informative and is great for kids. Easy parking nice shop although could take some finding as it is off the main highway . Returned many times over the years. Highly recommended.
Very informational and a good deal for paying only $12. The people working are friendly and passionate and enjoying teaching you about their wolves. Would recommend!
Great space for a break on your travels and highly informative. There are educational talks which you have a choice from short or long. Hearing the talk really will make you understand how this place exists and proper facilitation of this endeavor. A must to support.
Very Noligable of wolfs very friendly people that run the place well kept and maintained would go again to this place
Excellent . Small but very nice.
Very cool to see wolves so active in large fenced areas. WAY better than the Cgy zoo by far. There are 6 wolves currently staying at the centre and they love to howl together in the morning so get there early as you can. Wolves get more docile in the afternoon so morning is best. They also loved to run around an play together which was fun to watch. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Impressive facilities with lots of learning stations and gift shop. Worth the trip!
First...these are not rescued wolves, as stated in some other reviews (please note the staff/owners/website clearly state this is not a rescue facility). The talk was informative, although a bit preachy. It would be okay if you were looking for a short stop. I think we were there less than 30 minutes. It was okay...if you have seen wolves before (at a wildlife centre or zoo), do not expect this to better. They do offer a photography tour (we did not do) that does sound mire unique.
What a fantastic place. It is well worth the drive and entry fee, to raise awareness for the wolves.
Wolves were really neat to see. Cages were bigger than expected. Staff was great. The owner on the other hand. I witnessed her trying to get control of one of the younger wolves that was being aggressive. Then the owner slammed he Wolfe to the ground and booted the wolf multiple times in the ribs. While wearing steel toe boots. Was not impressed one bit. I get it they have to show them who is the boss but this was excessive force. No animal should be kicked especially with steel toe boots. Continue to read horror stories about the owner and how she should not be in the tourism industry.
We could not find any information about it being closed. Called 3 times no1 answered. Since they opend at 12 (google info) we decided to drive there (1.5 hour drive) and once we arrived we met a not so friendly woman who told us they were closed and that google says so aswel. Wel i checked now and there is no information to be found about you guys being closed. Either change it or pick up the damn phone/ make a darn voicemail. Useless. We even brought roadkill and did not feel like leaving it behind.
Those guys doing a great job, trying to save a important link in wild nature environment
Very disappointed. Not kid friendly. Scolded my 4 year old who was playing away from the pens for disrupting the wolves who remained sleeping while he was singing and playing aka being a kid. Enjoyable if you like to see 4 wolves in small cages.
Pretty small place hosting a couple of wolf families. Interesting 10 minute talk about wolves. Contact beforehand if you want to schedule a walk in the wild with the wolves (extra cost)
Very knowledgeable workers, place is not so big but interesting price is good they accept cash only but they have atm on site, fun for whole family, Thank you guys for doing amazing work ????
Wonderful place really enjoyed our visit .. wonderful people and staff
Great place that takes care of wolves in a sustainable way. They are also looking for ways to help wolves in the area
This place was amazing! The wolves are incredible. The staff is so exceptionally knowledgeable. The tickets were a little over $10 each, which is more than fair. I also donated to their tip bin and signed their petition. They also had info about adoption of wolves. The gift shop has super cute stuff! The information I attained was great and I will definitely come back here!
Very friendly, they give a really good talk about wolves and their part in out ecosystem while some wolves hang out in the lovely habitat they have
If you like wolves go, if you don't you can probably skip it. Going with kids they didn't want to listen to the talk which was very interesting and informative. It's mostly a talk and then you can see the wolves after. It's not a huge place. But you do see wolves!
Truly an amazing place with a wide spread of knowledge on the wolves
A must see destination! Very kind people who allow you to come and experience these amazing animals as well as learn a lot about them. Be sure to leave a donation, adopt a wolf, and sign the petition to help support the wolves and the rest of the BC parks because without these guys to look out for and rescue them we wouldn't have been able to get to know these wonderful animals.
Very Disappointed! $12 adminssion fee for litterally stepping into a room-size wolf-only zoo, at which you can totally check out the whole place for juz stand at the entry and turn you head 180. They also offer a narrative speech about the wolves they have, which was done both unprofesionally and hurriedly. Wolves looked either sleepy or stressed, maybe becauced of the very limited living and running space. Most of them are in the cage. Even my 9 year old didn't want to stay(she loves observes animals). We stayed for only 15min and left and felt like they should pay me for wasting my time.
We learned a lot about wolves and got to see them. A 4 star though because we didn't call ahead and make plans which meant we couldn't interact with the wolves. Unfortunately this isn't a place that you can spontaneously visit on a spontaneous road trip.
Had a lot of great information in a detailed but concise format. Staff were only too willing to help out and answer questions. The wolves all have different personalities and are fun to watch interact with one another. They will also come to a school to educate children.
Was there in 2014. Had a fantastic time on the "Hiking with Wolves" program. Great knowledgeable people, very friendly. Had a wonderful time.
Knowledgeable, friendly, and cause-driven staff. Beautiful wolves and cute facility. Don't miss.
Amazing and unique experience! My husband and I booked the walk and met Flora, stunning and pretty white wolf. We had answers to all of our questions, learned a lot about wildlife and came back with our head full of good memories. Bonus: the sensation of having a wolf on your shoulders and drool from her all over your face/hair was also something to experience ^^
Small but very interesting.
Great visit, learned a lot. Will definitely sign up for the walk next visit.
Cool little stop after a long drive. The wolves definitely seemed to be enjoying themselves, especially around meal time. Lots of interesting little displays and facts. Glad I stopped in, and would definitely recommend it for anyone interested in connecting with nature!
Wolves are pretty great. The lady was nice, too. Overall great staff
A very dedicated group of people working a great education program
Only 5 miles from Golden and a worthy cause - wolves are a key part of the ecosystem and should not be seen as scapegoats or pests. Entry is $10. Site is small and photo opportunities poor due to double layer wire netting. Difficult to spend more than 40mins here.
Small place but it teaches about wolves and how they are important in the ecosystem. I had the chance to hear the pack hauling. Wonderful!
They provide good information about wolfs and their way of living.
It's only small but you get really close to the wolves. we were lucky to see a playful pup. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Take cash though, they don't have a card machine and the ATM is unstable due to the rural Internet connection. Will definitely go back when next in Golden BC.
The owners Casey and Shelly and staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, safety came first whether it was the enclosures or going on the walk. The owners were the Alphas which was cool too see humans run a pack, at the same time its all about the wolves. Enclosures were well suited for the wolves inside and they are well taken care of, the government says more wolves (4x) can be inclosed in what fits 2-3 comfortably. Good thing the owners know better. Cant wait to go back for another wolf walk!
On the website there are things that are not in the place
Got to see them all howling today, super cool moment
Very informative!! I learned a lot.
A great place that supports the wolfs and educates about the wild wolfs that are being killed because the idiotic government thinks that it will help the population of the caribou. There is a bunch of reviews that make this place look bad just because it isn't as high scale as a zoo. Also some people are complaining about the fence but if that fence wasn't there they wouldn't of be shut down. Please support this place because from my experience these people really seem to care about the wolfs.
This is an amazing experience.
What a dedicated group of people, showing and educating who ever wants to listen and learn. This is the best way of 'connecting some dots' in understanding nature and changing one's behavior to sustain and support a better and healthier future
Wow Amazing.
I tried to reach out to the organisation to see if they had any sort of volunteer programme. Coming from a place with the best intentions. The person I spoke to was short, passive aggressive and unprofessional. Not sure if this place has the animals best intentions in mind for the animals or just a cash grab. Like zoo. Sad.
Snow, wolves and education. Cant go wrong
Great little spot to take a side adventure and see some beautiful animals. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and really cares for their wolves,. I will definitely go again while I am here in the Golden area for work and hope to get out on one of the walks with them.
It was lovely to visit the Northern Lights Wolf Centre and see this small and dedicated team explain about these often misunderstood creatures of the wilderness. We also did the walk with a wolf some days later due to the high demand for places for this tour. I describe myself as an amateur photographer but even I managed to get some spectacular photos from this original and outstanding adventure. I thoroughly recomend visiting as well as the tour but don't forget to plan and book ahead as the walk with a wolf is very popular.
Really nice place peaceful for the wolves
Great attraction. Tour is amazing and the walk with Wolves is outstanding.
Interesting place to visit, with lots of very good information about Wolf behaviors. Saw a 6-month-old wolf puppy rescue. Probably not for everyone, but if you want to know more about Wolves by people who live with them everyday, this is the place!
Wolves in captivity for educational purpose. Don't expect a Zoo. The message the keepers tell you is sad but true.
This place is awesome! On our first time visit, we went on one of their photography wolf walks, and also got our picture taken as a keepsake with a 6 month old wolf puppy. On our second visit, we took family from out of country, and went on another photography wolf walk. We ended up walking with the now full grown "puppy" that we had our picture taken with the first time. It was awesome, and our family loved it!
Always wanted to stop by here on my way out to the coast but never had time. I finally did and I was not disappointed. It is fairly small but enjoyable, with guided tours and educational talks included in the entrance fee.
Beautiful place with informative guides. The wolves were absolutely beautiful.
Hiked with Flora. Incredible experience. Can’t wait to come again
Really cool. Very knowledgeable staff and very friendly. I was expecting to be able to walk around more and see all the wolves bit some were hiding and not visible
It's difficult. On one hand it is not worth the price. Center is just a small private property, wolves are sleepy and bored and mostly lying on the ground. On the other hand the talk about wolves is quite interesting and educational. Threat you money as donation and it gets easier. Manage you expectations.
We went on the photo tour and it was AMAZING! Casey and Shelly are doing great work!
Its an amazing place with wonderful people who do an amazing job to help save the wild wolves. Beautiful located outside of golden. Everytime a visit worth!
It was just great.
Such a great experience. Very knowledgeable staff gave a funny, interesting and informative presentation. We spent about half an hour to 45 minutes here and it was well worth the trip from Golden.
Interesting talk about wolves and plenty of other information around to read. The wolves are in fenced enclosures, don't expect to see them roaming. They offer an experience where you can go with the wolves while they get let out for a run in the wild.
Our walking with Wolves tour was such a surreal experience. Shelley and Casey were very informative and ensured we got the most out of experience while ensuring our and the wolves safety was of paramount concern. We highly recommend this experience.
Beautiful once in a life time experience. Took some great pictures. Staff is fairly friendly.
We didn't make it past the front door. There were people inside the admissions building so my partner and I were waiting outside. An elderly woman walked by and told us we could head in, but we declined and told her we were waiting for the other people to move along. She replied in a very rude voice "enough of the Covid stuff; it's getting old". My partner replied "are you kidding me?" as we started to walk off the property, to which she replied by telling us to get off her property. I understand Covid-19 restrictions has been a stress on everyone, but it's apparently affecting this business owner to the point where she becomes hostile towards potential patrons. She even had a "masks optional" sign at the front entrance ???? I'll be happy to never patronize this business, and move along to other much more reasonable entrepreneurs.
Absolutley beautiful & Informative. Highly recommend this! But bring cash.. they do have an ATM but it doesn't always work.. and they have a wonderful gift shop!
This was very cool, clean and well maintained.
Not worth the time or money if you're just going to the centre to see the wolves. Small fenced areas for the wolves and you can't walk around them to see the wolves in the back areas. Would not recommend to anyone.
This is a good place to take your family, the presentation is educational, some of it a little over the kids heads, but they still enjoyed it. I'd definitely support the place and it's purpose. If it's a hot day make sure that you hit them up early while the wolves are active.
An amazing place. Everything is centered around the conservation of the Wolf. The centre is small but lovely and the wolves have spacious enclosures and are well cared for. All wolves are rescued and cannot be released into the wild. They are driven into the wilds and allowed to run free with their carers 5 or 6 times a week which is wonderful. One female wolf is so tame she is taken into schools to meet kids and educate them. The staff at centre are passionate and give great informative talks. Recommended
My 12 year old said "it was boring". However, the staff was knowledgeable and the program talking about the wolves which lasted about 10 minutes was informative. My 10 year old said "the wolves were cute". However, we went when it was hot so the Wolves didn't really do much but lay there and sleep. To be expected. If you're hoping for a flush washrooms, they only have two public outhouses which were as clean as an outhouse could be. There is certainly a sociopolitical agenda weaved through your experience, you have the ability to sign a petition for various bills and activism related to wolves. That said, if you're looking for information about the production and the management of this keystone species there's no better place to visit!
Awesome information on wolves, great thing they are doing here
If there was a ZERO, this place would get one. It's the long weekend, we booked to stay for 2 nights months ago, and called to confirm we are on our way. We got there to a VERY NASTY "lady" telling us they CANCELLED our reservation. No apology. No offer to help find an alternative (again - long weekend in summer!). Plenty of excuses. No customer service. AND, they kept our deposit! AWFUL. And a lot of the other REVIEWS AREN'T GREAT, EITHER. Don't waste your time.
A really informative and enlightening centre giving important information on wolves and their difficulties in the wild due to legislation, industry and restrictive regulations in Canadian National Parks. Many thanks to Shelley for an amazing experience while out walking with Flora, she is an absolute gem.
A really nice facility with some great animals and interesting info. The presentation from staff had some good information but was so poorly delivered that it was ruined. The 'guide' looked so bored/grumpy and like she we wanted to be anywhere else. A real shame!
BEST TRIP EVER!!! Definitely think about going on the photo tour as you get very up close and personal with the wolves.
Went on a walk with Flora (one of the wolves) and both Shelly (the owner) and Monica (a friendly staff member) and it was a spectacular, once in a lifetime experience. The wolf was majestic and magnificent to see both far away and up close! (Not to mention the 'selfish type' photo-op's that can occur with the wolf) Shelly is very passionate and knowledgeable and strives to educate the public on how to preserve wolf habitat and the politics involved with that and what we can do as individuals to try and affect change, she aims to inspire. If you are able to go and support this organization I strongly suggest it.
We had a wonderful time there. Very informative, too!!!
Was very impressed with knowledge of staff, capacity of the cages and very active wolves. I think they do a great job for their cause for a small conservatory, saw 7 very active wolves
The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. They are doing great work. The half dozen wolves are gorgeous and did an amazing howl while we were there.
One of my BEST experiences EVER!!!! You must take the walk with the wolves, you will learn so many things that it's just not possible in another way!! These guys really take good care of such magical animals!!
It was an amazing and very educational. The wolves are very beautiful and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Short drive off of the highway as well. Definitely will come back.
We learned so much and loved our visit. The Wolves are amazing. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Made some purchases at the shop. Can't wait to visit again, next time will be smart enough to book will ahead of time for the walk with the Wolves.
Nice to see the wolves but I found their speal a bit politically motivated and depressing.
Well worth the stop, great place to learn about the wolves and how well they are cared for, if there was 10 stars they would get 10
As an individual that has always loved wolves, but never had the opportunity to see them, this was a dream come true. Not only do you get a chance to see wolves here, but you also get to learn about them! For reviewers that have said these wolves are in a small enclosure, though this is true, the wolves get plenty of chances to go out for journeys in the woods with the workers! Would definitely recommend to friends and family and would most definitely return :)
We were expecting a bit more natural environment around those wolves. Disappointed
Great place to interact and learn more about wolves. The photography tour is a must!
Saw the sign on the side of the highway and wanted to see how the wolves were being treated. Stayed for the tour, and glad we did. Well worth the $12/adult, as we learned lots!
Cute avtivity to do as a family, u get to see the wolves from far for only 12$ and get usefull information about them. If u want to play wirh the wolves u can book a photography session for 380$ but only on appointment and in the mornings..got there late so we missed our chance!
Unique experience visiting rescued wolves: enthusiastic staff knowledgeable about wolves, good education for wildlife conservation, first time to hear and see wolves on a leash (they went with the care takers on a nature walk). Very impressive, highlight of our day.
This is a great place to visit and to learn about wolves. Good information about wolves, their habitat and conservation. Unfortunately it was very sad and upsetting to hear about the wolf cull and all the ways our government is not helping conservation efforts.
We stopped here on the way through the Rockies and we're slightly disappointed. It wasn't too far out the way and easy to get to. The centre is very small, they have around 10 wolves but could only see 5. They were lying down not doing much and you had to view them through a metal wiring fence (there were no glass or perspex viewing panels). The woman gave a detailed description of the wolves and their role in the environment. Despite seeing the wolves I felt it wasn't worth the stop nor the $24 for me and my girlfriend.
Wonderful to be able to see the wolves up close. Very educational and fun.
They are doing amazing work! Very informative people. Highly recommend
Very honest people here trying to educate the public on a very misunderstood animal. Worth the drive off the highway. Very unique attraction.
Very informative centre with about 8 wolves currently. Small run and awesome. More people need to know about this place!
So glad to stop here. Beautiful fun wolves. Very informative and things we should know our government is being ridiculous about. Well worth the stop and was easy to find.
Fantastic to see the wolves so close up and clearly well cared for. The short guide by one of the staff was very informative.
Good learning experience. Knowledgeable staff and presenters. Good price. Quite a few bugs (August) and mozzies.
A must-do Rocky Mountain activity! I learned so much about the importance of wolves in our ecosystem. Seeing them up close is such a once in a lifetime experience! Will be coming back again and again! And supporting wildlife conservation at the same time. (Much better than a zoo, these guys were saved from being discarded from zoos and end up killed. Learned that from the amazing interpretive talk!)
Fantastic experience in sanctuary! We had a great guide, despite the fact it was so cold outside! When we arrived, wolves came to check on us and were very interested. If we just knew that we could book a hike with wolves in a forest prior, we would do that for sure! Definitely will be back for hike experience!
Lady's and Gentlemen, boys and girls. I have never been awed like I was when I went to see the wolves and the people/handlers at the sanctuary. I once was awestruck when I went to Vegas, but this surpassed that experience. The tours they offer are phenomenal, with a guide giving detailed information about each wolf. To see a handler/guide sit right next to this huge animal is breathes. This list of things to do when in and around Calgary, Canmore, Bannf and Golden B.C. is a must. It is only 3hrs from Calgary with the most stunning views of mountains, rivers and wildlife. Golden has an amazing town with many, many choices to see. The old bridge in town is stunning. This is a must.
Wonderful experience! Great place to learn and see beautiful wolves fairly close up.
Very informative. Knowledgeable staff who are extremely passionate about wolves and the protection of wolves. Will definitely be back and will be doing what I can to support them.
Fun and educational experience, highly recommended especially if you care about conservation!
Very good experience. Learned a lot about the wolves in the area and the provincial programs. Very knowledgeable staff. They had a pup when we went. That part was the best.
Interesting wolf info, very cool to see them up close, but then you're presented with a well rehearsed anti-government speech. I can't recommend this business.
Very good information session on wolves and wild life. Really awesome to see wolves and hear them howling. Sign the Petitions to save our wild life. I do work for big oil company and trust me, they don't care about the world around us.
Interesting place and I appreciate where they are coming from. Thier heart is in the right place. However some of their facts during the information session were completely wrong and misleading.
Beautiful animals great people. Loved it
This had to be one of the coolest little sanctuaries we've ever been to. the staff was amazing, very educational. the animals were awesome, the entre experience was sweet. the wife and i both enjoyed it.
It's amazing to get this close to the wolves. However, they seem very sleepy and the owner was not friendly to the wolf when trying to let people take pictures with the wolf.
The staff was very knowledgeable. Wolves were friendly.
We decided to go to the Northern Lights Wildlife refuge later in the afternoon and there weren't too many people so we had a very comfortable tour. Our guide was very well informed and clearly passionate about the wolves. The pricing is appropriate and the wolves are very well taken care of. Absolutely loved it.
Wonderful learning experience
Great center, important noble mission: to change society view on Wolf's. They are amazing!
Clean. Friendly environment
Was an amazing learning opportunity! Got to see some beautiful animals and well worth the money to get in! If you have the opportunity go it's amazing!
If I want the get the best information about wolves u need to go here. I thought I know about them. But I was way off. I learned so much. Staff was very happy and had a lot of information about the wolves .
This is not a sanctuary it is a compound for wolves. Each contains a certain group of wolves taken from different areas of BC and Alberta. Every 30 minutes they have a guide come out and do a 15 minute talk about wolves which is quite brain washed and repetitive as they have all memorized a script. The wolves are all spayed and neutered and are taken on daily walks to escape from their small cages. One wolf was also secluded from the others as he had not "imprinted" on the other packs. He was distraught since he was kept alone. We also got the chance to interact with the owner. To be brief he is an ignorant man who blames the government for many random things. He gave our group a rant about how the pipeline is not making profit, trout species are on decline and that Canada has a 50% cancer rate. His information was obviously skewed along with his train of thought. Leaving the so called "sanctuary" we both felt confused and concerned for the animals. This facility was clearly made with the wrong intentions and we will have no part in promoting it.
Awesome place. A bit small but worth the drive. Make sure you take the tour
Great place doing important work. Some slight issues as it is cash only and does not follow provincial health orders
Cool little sanctuary. Not too many wolves but love the information (wasn't too preachy) . We were able to see the wolves right up close a d you can tell they are treated very well. They look calm and happy
Super cool and informative. Kids loved it, people who say the wolves look sad obviously didn't listen to the women talk about how the wolves have it made and are generally a lazy animal. Reasonably priced for a family of 4. A nice experience overall
We just visited and unfortunately, one of the wolves had a seizure. We all backed away from the fence as instructed. One girl said she thought it could've been the deer that caused it. A friend of mine just simply asked, does this happen often? And we were met with the snarky remark of "what do you think? No it doesnt." I understand it was a stressful situation however at the end of the day we are paying to learn about these magnificent creatures. After the comment, we left and thankfully got our money back. But I will not come back here to learn, due to the attitude recieved by staff.
Thank you for sharing valuable information about these majestic animals. I absolutely loved hearing all of the pack howling when Flora came back from her walk. That was something I've never heard before and probably never will again! I appreciate what you do here. Defend the wolf!!!!
Wolves ???? Great little place doing as much as they can to educate about wolves and protect them. The wolves themselves looked very well looked after and not bored or in distress like you see at zoos
Interesting to see. All of the wolves have been raised in captivity so it's just like going to the zoo.
I was impressed how well they care for their animals and how they advocate for the wolves in the wild.
Must visit if you are in the Banff area! Shelly is a sweetheart and she loves her wolves. Getting to see these gorgeous animals up close was amazing.
What a heartwarming and educational centre. So much to learn there about these animals we think we know so much about! We really don't!
We did the walking tour with Flora the white wolf in the mountains. Was such a fun time! If you want a unique experience, check out this sanctuary. Their mission is to educate others on the importance of the wolf and how we can help them not become extinct.
Experience of a lifetime. Ever been kissed by a wolf? I have. If you have a opportunity to see this and you don't, sorry about your luck.
Very educational. In the mountains, it was awesome to see the wolves. I would def go back! Thank you so much!
Really interesting talk and great staff. Good to see the wolves, but fairly small. Don't plan to spend much more than an hour here
It was our second visit, this time we were just passing through at the right time. We were very well received and joined the presentation in progress. I give it 5 stars for the great way its run.
A great experience, they had facts that I didn't know. Friendly staff a good enclosure for the wolves. They even had wolf T-shirts that I have never seen. Had to get two of them!!! The only thing to note: BRING CASH! Can't wait to go back.
The entry fee of $12 per person is a bit steep considering there is not much to see. However since the money is used for wolf protection, we did not mind it. The team here is very passionate about their work and their wolves. There are 6 of them but you may not get to see all of them. Although the wolves are enclosed you still get a good view of them and they are such a gorgeous animal to behold. We were glad we went. We learnt so much about wolves.
Great talk by a rather lovely and eco friendly German lady. Place a little disappointing and merchandise pretty awful. Wolves though few were beautiful and captivating. A great educational stop if you’re in the area, though keep your expectations low to avoid disappointment.
Very educational and a good experience seeing them up close. While they do tell us how we can help conserve these species, I think pushing some agenda and using words on voting was not pleasant to hear. Also they take cash and have ATM
The staff is AMAZING! I loved seeing the wolves and learning more about these beautiful animals????
Had a great time learning about these amazing creatures and all they do for our ecosystems. Thanks for all you do!
Even though I never went to the place, they came to my school telling us about wolves and stuff, they also brought one to our school so it was a good experience. Would like to visit but i live 300km away :(
My daughter wanted to go see the wolves, because she had seen the signs on the highway. We arrived just as the talk had started, they spoke on the wolves for another 5 minutes then the talk became political for the remaining 25 minutes. I was not impressed that they decided to make this time their time. I paid money to come and hear about wolves not to hear your skewed point of view about what’s wrong in the world and Canada. And yes like others have pointed out the pictures on the website are not what you see when you arrive.
Photo session was excellent.
Nice to see people like this doing great work to educate people about wolves.
Beautiful
Went for a walk on new years day with the wolves which was a really cool experience and worth the money. I will say we felt a bit awkward as the woman who runs it had had drinks the night before for new years eve and told us she was grumpy to have to go out. The owner had also brought her friend (previous employee) to walk with us as well and although it wasn't a big deal that she obviously didn't have to pay, we felt a bit annoyed that she had way more photo op time than we did. Her and her boyfriend had got to take pictures alone with the wolves and myself and my boyfriend did not get that chance and got rushed through. I could not help feeling some what offended. Id still recommend doing it as I think it was just bad timing for us but we just wish we didn't have to feel like it was an annoyance for her when we were paying quite a bit to go.
Great place to see and learn about wolves and about their conservation. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely worth it.
Great place, super friendly staff. Really neat to see wolves up close. Wonderfully informative, excellent experience. Perfect for singles and families alike.
The wolves are gorgeous ???? They seem well taken care of. You can easily see them. Less a fan of the fence as you always have it on your picture.
Very informative! Well worth the admission
Nice place to visit for some wolf Knowledge
5-6 Wolves living in an enclosure, run by a private business.
Opening time on Google map is not correct, We drive for 1 hour to get there but it’s not opening until 12pm(schedule from Oct 1st to April 30th)
Very informative, down to earth individuals. I love what they do here!!!
Really nice place, when I went it was very hot so wolves were mostly just lying around. The people there do genuinely care about the wolves and I get the impression that if it were up to the folks running the show there wouldn't be the large fence separating the wolves from us (as the fence if government regulation)
Friendly & knowledgeable staff... Great place to visit & support a worthy cause.
Great place if you’re interested in wolves and their life. Just a few wolves, but it’s nice to see them from up close. One of the girls working there gave us lots of interesting info about the wolves and also about the centre. All in all I enjoyed our visit. You can easily cover all the center in less than one hour.
My wife really wanted to see this place since she's a huge animal fanatic on our way to the rockies. $12/PP seems a bit high to me for a tour of the sanctuary where all the 6 wolves were basically sleeping and we just saw them from afar. The half hour presentation was all about the preservation of the wolves but it would've been nice if the presenter got the wolves involved so we would get to see them up close and personal insteas do them all asleep.
Very informative! Our whole family learned so much about wolves. Really cool seeing these magnificent animals up close ????
Very educational and a great place to visit. The wolves were beautiful and you can tell they are very well cared for. Please do what you can to support this rescue so they can continue to bring knowledge and awareness to the importance of wolves in our world.
Incredible place that seem to have a mission to educate for the preservation of the wolf. The wolves are absolutely gorgeous and the staff/owner are very friendly and informative
Waste of time and $, 12$ per person for 5-6 skinny wolfs. Not sure why this place gets 5 stars must be friends posting. My 2 cents
This is not an animal shelter, this place makes money out of having 7 wolves jailed in really small areas. The owner treated us really bad when trying to take a picture closer to the fence. They charge crazy amounts for taking short walks with them... This is a business and I totally regret giving my money for this cause.
Very educational. Bravo for your efforts with these beautiful animals
Very interesting information provided; gave us a full appreciation of wolves. Worth a visit.
Great place to check out close to Golden! Friendly staff that help educate you about the wolfs
Thank you so much for offering this experience, I couldn't stop smiling all the way back to White Rock BC.. Still am :) Will be back and in touch for sure Thank you Claire and Sheila xoxox
Beautiful experience and incredibly friendly staff!
Loved it. Walking with them in the woods was great. Beautiful animals.
Great place to visit if you are a nature fan.
Education part was good but we were expecting to see wolf's. Having 3 excited kids to come there to see none was a little disappointing. At least have a sign up saying closed not a good time to see the wolf's. We paid for nothing really. Will not be coming back.
Very Knowledgeable and friendly staff, a bit pricey, but the money is going to a good cause!
Such knowledgeable staff, thank you for the 20 minute information session we had. We learnt so much about wolves, that we didn't know. It was amazing to also hear the local wild pack howling.
An amazing experience located in lush bush and only about 10mins from Golden.. costs vary on what you are wanting to do from a short 25min talk to a day out with the wolves where you can see them playing in the wild..
Super cool! Definitely worth checking out for any wolf lover!
Beautiful centre, incredible staff and the most beautiful wolves. This truly is a special experience :)
Loved hearing information about the wolves, was really cool to see some as well. This place has potential.
I learned alot about wolves. Staff are sooo nice and the wolves of course beautiful. But we aren't there very long and it was 27.00 for 2 kids and 1 adult. Spent about 45 mins. It was pricey but if I look at it going towards the wolves themselves I am ok with putting out the money. Just a FYI take cash, no interact they have a poor signal out there. Its a drive in from the highway too so make sure you know the area or have a map google ,maps cant load once you are out that way. I was happy to see the passion these people have for wolves.
Such an amazing experience! The wolves were so amazing to be around. Going on the walk is so worth while and unique opportunity. The team was very friendly and knowledge and there to make it a great experience for you and the wolves.
Very neat to see the wolves. They are beautiful creatures. The talk was informative, but a bit preachy.
Stopped by here the other day. There was a lots to read and the presentation given on wolves was informative and interesting. The animals are very well cared for and it was neat to see them up close even though they were napping most of the time in a food coma! Haha! Cash payment only as the service area is intermittent. They do have an ATM though. Reasonably priced, informative, and worth the time.
Worth the stop. Cool to see the wolves up close. Wolves are well cared for. The lady running the tour was very informative.
The girl that was talking and telling us about the animals needs more experience she doesn't have a voice or knowledge to keep you interested.
Very informative.. Monica was a great host and tour guide with loads of information about Wolves
Great place to visit if you are in Golden BC. All the workers are very kind and informative. And the wolves are all beautiful!
A nice place :) There wasn't not enough staff to have a visit cause the girl was alone but we could enter on the site. We have the chance to saw 4 wolves. Beautiful animals :) There's a lot of info to read. Very interesting !
Perfect place to stretch your legs and support a great cause. These people are amazing and tought us so much about our wolves! If you are thinking about stopping in you must!
Awesome experience! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Did a beautiful hike with Flora the Wolf through winter wonderland! An experience to remember for a lifetime! I will definitely come back!
Very inserting. You'll learn a lot about wolves and how important they are. Beautiful animals. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff/owners.
A little out of the way but great place to visit if you're interested in getting up close and personal with wolves
Amazing! A must visit ❤
I honestly CANNOT understand how people give this place good reviews. If you love animals, this is NOT a place to visit and support. The wolves seemed very sad and restless, pacing back and forth. They all looked miserable and there was not enough space for them to be energetic at all. My heart broke as soon as I saw them. They were all very dirty and have sad living conditions. It was VERY HEARTBREAKING. It was DISGUSTING and SAD. This place is clearly there ONLY to make money, because if they cared, their wolves would look better, healthier, and happier, with more space to run. I literally walked in there, saw how horribly sad everything was and out again. I almost cried seeing this and my heart broke to pieces for DAYS. I demanded to get my money back as I am not supporting this sad place. DISGUSTING. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS. Please. Animals are not your property and NOT to be used as objects for your profit. The point is to care, support and help them to live better lives, not be SUBJECTED to this FILTH and put on for show to make hundreds off photography tours. WHO actually signs up for that has to be heartless, because no one in their right mind would want to photograph these poor beings living so sadly. THINK ABOUT THE WOLVES AND HOW THEY FEEL. THINK ABOUT HOW THEY ARE LIVING. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE SUPPORTING. Again, I honestly CANNOT understand how people give this place good reviews. THINK ABOUT IT. Have a heart and understand from the wolves perspective. Instead of being excited to see a sad living animal. THIS IS NOT WAY FOR AN ANIMAL TO LIVE.
Really cool way to see domesticated wolves' up close. I would highly recommend checking it out!
Great presentation by the staff with alot of interesting information. The price is a bit high but acceptable.
This is an amazing place to visit. They offer education and understanding of these beautiful animals. It is definitely worth the stop off the highway. I personally dont agree with animals being confined to enclosures, but these wolves are taken well taken care of and very loved. But one you visit you will hear their story and how things came to be. The Blacks have done a great job and I encourage people to stop and visit. It is a small price to learn and see an amazing amount of knowledge in a short time!
Very informative talk about wolves and their natural environment as well as information about the resident wolves. Wish I'd had more time so that I could have done a walk with them. Beautiful but so often misunderstood animals. My 2 year old was happily entertained by the box of toys on the grass for him to play with!
Beautiful wolves. Very knowledgable staff. Petitions you can sign to help protect the wolves in AB and BC.
We did the photographers hour plus walk with the wolf. The owners were nice and take their animal care very seriously, but have done a great job setting up the animals and humans for successful interactions. I was misinformed by my friend who thought we were walking with the whole pack. It was a single wolf. Very well behaved and photogenic. A bit pricey for me not being the intense wildlife enthusiast as he is. The $12 entry to see the whole pack inside their compound is a good way to go until you know what you are getting with the small group (up to 6) walk. Bring cash. I had circumstances the night before that made me plan to use the ATM on site but it is NOT reliable. Dial up service that did not work for me. I should have stopped at an ATM in town. Bring cash, they have lovely things but don't take credit cards or debit.
Poor of the wolves they seem very unhappy in this place, is 2 cages with wolves that u can barely see because the cages are so bad, don’t go to this place If u like animals.
Such a wonderful place and our experience with wolf ????was amazing. I totally recommend you this place. Staff is super friendly and they are very helpful ????.
This is truly an amazing place to visit. The wolves are beautiful and very well cared for. I recommend the wolf walk. Well worth the time and money!!! We will go again.
Fun place to visit and knowledgeable staff.
Very cool and educational experience
Amazing experience and the staff where awesome to talk to
Excellent, well worth a 30-40min stop along the highway. Very dedicated staff, good learning experience for families.
I didn't just see wolves but found out the truth about them and how special they are and need to be protected for our own good. They deserve a home too.
This place is rundown. Wolf cages are not very inviting for the wolves. Staff were very friendly and informative.
Interesting place that gives wolves a chance to live their lives in captivity as close as possible to be wild!
Very informative , but very small ,saw wolves and they have a small gift shop.
Amazing place to visit! It's awesome to be able to see these animals up close and learn about them. Great with our group and our kids. The atmosphere here is friendly and the staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about. Definitely a great place to go learn and a great place support as well. Definitely will be returning here for another visit and wolf walk. Thanks guys!
Very informative! Fantastic to see a place trying to educate about these animals in the wild.
Hmm ???? It’s fine, nothing spectacular. If you have animal loving kids, as I do, it may be worth the 20 minute or so drive from the hwy. At 35$ for a family of four, the price is right, however, you won’t spend much time here as there isn’t much to explore if you haven’t bought a wolf walk package or the like. While, at first, the the monologue of the keeper seemed quite rehearsed (I understand it can be difficult to make something sound new when you recite it every 30 minutes), it was quite informative. There was definitely some political biases being pushed through which left a bad taste in my mouth but informative nonetheless. My advice would be to use this as a place a stop on the way and not as a final destination. Stretch and eat your bag lunch, see some wolves and get back on the hwy.
Great....
Great education about wolves. What they eat, how they socialize, how they excersice. Also how this place was created and why the wolves are here. Will come back again and again.
Wonderful experience, very educational, very interesting. The people there do wonderful work! Keep it up!
What a wonderful place! Very informative, Monica did a wonderful job. The wolves are just stunning!
Check it out! Off the beaten path but well worth it to learn about wolves and their importance in our environment. Plus, they are super cute!
A howling good time. The lecture has some real teeth to it. You can pack light because they have burgers.
Very friendly place and informative. Love seeing the wolves ????
Love what they're doing. Great cause!
A must visit!
We did the wolf photography walk with the wonderful Flora! It was amazing to walk with her out in nature and see her run around and explore her natural habitat. She wasn't made to come near us, instead we would wait and if she came to us we could pet her, and she came near us pretty frequently! Shelly was an amazing handler and very passionate about the wolves. We were really glad that despite us paying for a walk with a wolf that Flora wouldn't be made to come near us, everything was done at her comfort and pace which is definitely how it should be. The only time she was asked to come near us was for the photos at the end, and she was rewarded with plenty of elk! We even got a few wolf kisses, which was beyond amazing. She was very comfortable with humans, it was an incredible experience. It was a once in a life time experience, and completely worth every penny. I highly recommend going for one of their walks!
Nice place to watch and learn about wolf's.
Great wolves and insight and in the name of a great cause. Save the wolves
