This is not the main Visitor Centre, just a satellite location. But it's a lot less busy. You can buy Park Passes there and get info on hikes.

All female staff that was working was so loud and chatty, it made it very hard to concentrate. They were really self involved and after I asked them about a hike for a third time, the girl brain clicked on and was able to show me a map that I was inquiring about the whole time. They need to hire staff members that know the park and aren't so thick. WiFi was good.

The people working there were super nice, but they assumed that we were tourists that just wanted to see what was in town. The truth is, people go to Banff to see the park, not the town. That being said, the parts of town that they told us to see were nice!

Really cool to see this old railway station

Easier parking and you were able to get information with a number of the park officials for orientation of your activities. Also you can leave your vehicle here and walk right into town it's so close. This is recommended in the summer as there is a lot of traffic.

The staff here was very helpful, but for someone driving though, there was no place to park. The whole town was full of circling cars looking for a parking spot. Grab a parking spot anywhere you can, as far out as you have to and walk here. Then get out of downtown Banff as fast as possible and back into the wilderness.

Saw a neat CP train that looked like it was from the 40s outside. Asked the kiosk what it was. This is their response: “We have no idea. All I know is that it wasn’t here yesterday.” Yeah....great info information kiosk.
