Really vary impressive and I believe this is the really true massage of Islam, presented by the Holy Prophet of Islam Mohammad 1400 years ago. Our world really need this massage to apply on everyone. This is Ahmadi/Qadyani faith Place of Worship, they shouldn't be calling it Mosque or Masjid. The place is large built with millions of dollars, have some class rooms, meeting rooms, game rooms etc. Facility itself is not bad but the officials here are deceiving people into thinking that it is in fact a Mosque.

Mashallah! Excellent... Great experience... Baitun Nur Mosque (Arabic for “House of Light”) – The largest mosque in Canada located besides the Wind Prairie Park Calgary. Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the fifth Khalifa laid the foundation stone of Baitun Nur Mosque on 18th June, 2005. Mr. Dave Bronconnier, Mayor of Calgary at the time, on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of this mosque, has said “Canadian values are flourishing in the city of Calgary”. Baitun Nur Mosque construction was completed in 2008 for an estimated cost of C$ 15 million with roughly C$ 8 million of that coming from local Ahmadiyya Muslims of Calgary and great sacrifices were made by them. Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the supreme head of worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, officially inaugurated the Baitun Nur Mosque on July 5, 2008. On the grand opening of the mosque with over 5000 people, the Prime Minister of Canada Mr. Stephen Harper, said “Ahmadis are renowned for their devotion to peace, universal brotherhood and submission to the will of God - the core principles of true Islam. They are also renowned for working together to serve the greater good through social, health and education initiatives, as well as mosque projects like this one. And wherever they live in the world, Ahmadis are renowned for participating in the larger community and peacefully co-existing with people of all faiths, languages and cultures”. Therefore, the community strongly rejects violence and terrorism in any form and for any reason. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been holding many Interfaith Symposia and Conferences at Baitun Nur Mosque, Calgary. I'm not sure why this is called a mosque when other muslims who doesn't look like them are not welcome .For a tour ?yes,but to pray ?their women would definitely give you "the you are not welcome" stare till you leave. Islam is suppose to be inclusive of all but not this place. Tried it twice, would not advise my enemy to go their for prayer.

The Mosque is beautiful. But just to inform the visitors, its a Ahmadiyya (or Qadyani) Mosque. The Group accordingly to Majority of Muslims is regarded as a deviant group or out of fold of Islam because the group believes in a man named: Mirza Ghulam Ahmad from Qadyan (Punjab, died:1908) to be a Prophet/Imam Mahdi/Christ-Second coming of Jesus. Which is problematic to majority of Muslims.

Beautiful place of worship although I would hesitate to call this a mosque. This is an Ahmadiyya place of worship. Calling it a mosque is misleading. They can claim to be Muslim however followers of Judas can also CLAIM to be Christians... that does not make them so. However the building was very nice and the people were nice as well.
