Here you will be able to see all the feddbacks of people who buy the services of Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium (Zoo) in the area of Bancroft (Canada).
Right now the business has a rating of 4.8 stars out of 5 and that score is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is basically the best one, and it's founded on a very high number of reviews, so we can say that the valuation is very reliable. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Zoo is classified in the category of Zoo.

This place is amazing! There are so many things to do and see. It's great for families and for people who love animals. There are a ton of cute critters here. You can feed fish, look at sharks, walk through a butterfly house, and much much more. Stop by if you can!
The best zoo I've been to. Sadly a lot of food and treat vendors closed. Most likely due to pandemic regulations.
Your time would be worth spent here, this is not a regular zoo. I was personally skeptical on going here and though I went based on strong recommendation from a colleague. And yes, the place stands to its credibility. Lots of exhibits, immaculately planned, & maintained. You may plan to spend the day here to really enjoy the exhibits. Due to shortage of staff multiple exhibits are empty and also the zoo has short working hours. Lied Jungle, Aquarium, Desert dome were my favorite. The Desert dome has a lower level for the nocturnal animals, you definitely want to visit this. Durham TreeTops Restaurant is a great one which is by the Lied Jungle and you can enjoy watching animals while grabbing a bite. I was alone here though I did notice a lot of opportunities for kids to enjoy.
It’s an amazing place. So many animals to see. But be prepared for a long walk, and long queues at food stalls. It may be a good idea to bring snacks or food along and lots of water.

The best zoo I have ever been to. You can see different animals together that are not in the cage. Very wonderful experience!!
Wow. What an incredible zoo! We came in November when it was too cold for some of the animals to be on display but that didn't take away too much from an incredible experience because the majority of the animals are Inside. There is a massive desert dome that keeps an arid climate all year long. There are animals from all over the deserts of the world. There's an underground too! A cave section full of bats and other underground dwellers. That's not even all the caves lead to the swamp. Full of gators and beavers and other swampy friends. Then we wandered over to the jungle. Another gigantic indoor jungle full of monkeys hippos and birds flying about. There is a river full of monster sized fish from China and the Amazon! There are fruit bats flying around too. There's a waterfall and suspension bridge and all kinds of plants. We walked around the rest of the zoo and saw lots of other animals as well elephants and giraffes had a special indoor enclosure to keep them warm in the winter. They have lots of them too. The apes where inside too and they were having a ball playing and wrestling. The tiger got the covid so it was off display. Lastly we went to the aquarium it was nice. On the smaller side but it was cool too the sharks tunnel was a great touch. We came to Omaha specifically to come to the zoo for our anniversary and it was definitely worth it. Omaha is an amazing city that is really growing and is worth a visit and there is plenty to do.
What a zoo experience! Loved it! Some pointers. I would recommend parking on the north side and arriving at open 9 am. Once the park is super busy around lunchtime, it’s really packed, and lines are nuts. The train is a fun experience for the kids and catching a breather, sitting for a bit after walking miles (we asked about 5); the train doesn’t give many great views for animals, so mostly just an experience. They had lift chairs we didn’t try, but we’re told it is a better option to see animals in the zoo on the African side. My wife and kids LOVED feeding the stingrays and would do that every time we visit.

The Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo is awesome. There are so many attractions to see, that it will take a full day to view them all. My family and I really enjoyed the many animals, along with the Lied Jungle and the Desert Dome, all fantastic. The only negative is the restaurants, $3.50 for bottled water and the food is just terrible.

I've been to a lot of zoos and this one wasn't bad. This one was the 1st one I have seen trainers actual interact with animals during the day day so that was super cool. My kids really enjoyed the train ride around the zoo for a quick look at everything. I am used to most aquariums having hands on things for kids though and not having to pay another extra fee for that so a little disappointed there but oh well. The desert dome was super cool to go through as well. The line for butterflies was way to long for my 1 kiddo to handle so we unfortunately could not do that today. Over all would recommend and would definitely go back, when everything is fully open!

The zoo is an absolutely amazing experience. Hydration is essential because you will walk A LOT. We did 6 miles just inside the zoo according to my fitness tracker. The exhibits are absolutely stunning - ESPECIALLY the aquarium. Worth the time, effort and money to go to.

Great place to spend quality time with families. You can buy their tickets online and they also have a QR code for the map, so that allowed us to have completely paperless service. Bring lots of water bottles as we really need them while walking the entire facility. Food options could have been better. Long lines were making it harder to get things quickly. Overall, it’s a nice place.

I love taking my grands to the zoo, i can NOT wait to see the baby Elephants, they are still bonding as of today!! I really enjoyed the gorilla today, they were really putting on a show for us.. ????
I now understand why they call this the best zoo in the world. I have never been to a cooler zoo, and I've been to a lot of zoos. Personally my favorite attraction was the kingdoms of the night. It is underneath the desert dome which is very unique. We went when it was colder in October and a lot of the food shops were closed towards the back. So I would plan on bringing a snack. If there is a zoo that is a must see, this is definitely one of them.
There is something for everyone. So many exhibits. The animals seem well cared for and happy. They were very active and many of their "cages" reflected their natural environments. We didn't make it through the entire Zoo in one day, so I would recommend going back for a second day in a row if possible. There is even a discount on admission if you go two days in a row. The zoo is part of a program that give discounted admission to other zoos in the USA if you have a membership. Also, as a plus you can exit the zoo without going through the gift shop, if budget restraints is a concern.

It is a pretty good zoo! I would recommend packing your own lunch if you are gonna be here for the entire day. The food is overpriced and the fries weren't the best. Otherwise, it's a great place! They have many animals and my favorite part was the Aquarium! I took so many photos that my camera app crashed, haha.

It was a very nice zoo but because they were short staffed the concessions weren't open except for online ordering only and the splash pad wasn't going. My girls were very disappointed in this because nothing was mentioned on the website about the closings. We did have a nice time though.
The exhibits at Henry Doorly Zoo are absolutely amazing. There are species here that you won’t see many other places, and there is enough to do to last more than one day. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and the behind the scenes experiences are well worth the money. I can certainly see why this is rated one of the best zoos in the county.
Grew up nearby a lifetime ago and now I get to share this wonderful zoo with my family. The new updates are great, I wish we would have brought swimsuits in for the splash pad, but we still had fun and cooled off. The aquarium and indoor jungle are still my favorites from my childhood. Excited to stop here again the next time we drive across the country.
Not too bad of a zoo provides a great chance for learning experiences. I would of giving it a 5 star rating for of the diversity of animals and buildings you can go into. But we paid for the golf cart behind the scenes tour. We weren't very impressed. The only nice this about the tour was we didn't have to walk in a 100° day. The behind the scenes part is literally an access road you drive on. We thought we would be shown some of the animals that you don't see out and about. Like there sleeping quarters and everything (while being behind a fence for safety). I wouldn't recommend the behind the scenes to anyone you still have to do quite a bit of walking. And can basically see the whole behind the scenes for the same price as the train ride (probably see more animals than it).

Lovely zoo. There's so much to see here. I had an amazing experience and I only saw less than half of what was there. We were doing a cross country drive and stopped to see it so we didn't have much time and it was also an extremely hot summer day. But I'll definitely revisit and it's a must see if you are anywhere near the vicinity. I love how much wide open space the animals have and they look well taken care of. The photos do not do it justice. Just go!

There's not a better zoo. You really need more than one day to take it all in. And they add something new all the time so it's fun to go and spend a whole day there every now and then
Quick trip north to make a first visit.. Had always heard great things about HD and they were all verified on this visit. Fantastic zoo. Lots of very cool, expansive exhibits. Tons of varied animal species. Easy to kill an entire day roaming the grounds. Will definitely be back for another round.

Such an incredible experience. The renovations are great and they are currently updating the Gorilla House. Ample areas to walk and see a wealth of animals. I only had a couple hours to run around as fast as I could, I would definitely suggest a day+ if you want to take everything in. Went on November 20th, not all exhibits are open, you can check online for open activities.
It was a nice experience. We've not seen many animals as it was very hot and some of them were not out. The aquarium was great, we really enjoyed it. 3 aquariums of jellyfish was the best thing for me as I love them. Could stand and watch them for hours. Good thing is that there is a food court with the "shadow umbrella" tables, where you can have a good lunch and rest.
One of our favorite zoos! Love the variety of animals and how well taken care of they all are. Lots of indoor and outdoor exhibits. Excellent zoo, and exhibits. Nice renovations to gorilla valley. They added a new species of bird. There could be more animals on the African grasslands asian highlands and lied jungle. The zoo is one of our favorite places to go as a family. We always get a yearly membership since we frequent the park so much. What we do is we break our visits down into sections. Since the park is so huge it’s really difficult to cover the whole park and enjoy it at the same time if we do it all at once. This way we do a section we enjoy it we take our time and we have fun. The new sea lions exhibit is definitely our favorite. You completely feel engulfed in the experience and the escape once you enter the exhibit. My son loves to play with the sea lions through the looking glass window observation area. For me this is one of the best exhibits I’ve ever seen at any zoo. We always love to ride the train and the chairlift when they’re open. As a tip bring your own water bottle as things can be quite expensive and they can add it real fast otherwise. Overall, we enjoyed going to the zoo and watching our son engulf himself and all the exhibits.
Amazing experience. We got there at 9 am and didn't leave until almost 4pm... the place is huge with fantastic interactive exhibits and so much ground to cover. We had a great time but especially loved the butterfly ???? palace and the aquarium!

Absolutely love this place. Even when there's construction you know it's just getting better. This trip was wintery, 30° out, and not everything was open but we still spent 4 hours enjoying the indoor exhibits.

Absolutely. Amazing. We are Minnesota Zoo members and have reciprocity to the Omaha Zoo...it puts our zoo to shame. It took us a good 6 hours to see everything! It's huge! Both of our phones died from taking so many videos and pictures. I'd highly recommend that families with small children take two days to see the whole zoo. It's a lot of walking - we averaged about 15,000 steps within our 6 hours. My one complaint is that during the off season, there are very limited places to eat/drink. We had to eat at the aquarium cafe which was online ordering with a QR code - kind of a pain when your phone is at 15%. I suggest bringing your own beverages and lunch.
I could go to a zoo in every city I visit, and this one is definitely one of the best I have ever been to! It's hard to decide between Omaha or San Diego as the "best" zoo in the country. I really enjoyed the large variety and number of animals, but my favorite was just the high attention to detail in all the habitat designs. Everything was beautiful and so well themed to a certain animal/country/biome etc. If you're planning just one day at the zoo, go into it with realistic expectations that you will NOT see everything (especially if you have kids and possibly even with a two day pass too). Plan your visit ahead of time and pick the major things you want to see for sure. In addition to animals, there are so many things for kids to climb on, touch, and explore. Loved this zoo, and looking forward to going back to see much more!
This zoo was incredible! Really, really wish we lived closer! We went on a weekday. The crowds were manageable. The downside was that the train & skybuckets were closed. I wish this had been posted somewhere. The sign for the train said you could get a round trip ticket from the station near the sea lions. The station was closed. So I'm not sure why they didn't just have a sign posted saying the train was closed. The Kingdoms of the Night area was super cool!!!! There was one section with two pools of water with fish that were floor level and completely uncovered. I'm not sure why these weren't roped off. The room is dark. It seems very easy for a child to walk into the water. Loved the Sea Lion area. There were lots of little areas to pop in and out of to get different views. And the wall underwater was so cool! We came back in the evening for the Halloween thing. It was fun. But not worth the cost. The best part was walking through the Kingdoms of the Night and them having the lights on in the room with the alligators and beavers.
We enjoyed our stay at the zoo. Going on Labor Day weekend probably was not the greatest decision, because all the attractions were very busy and crowded. Ordering our tickets online was a breeze, and walking around the compound with our 3 year old was not too bad. Make you bring plenty of water for those hot summer months! Compared to other zoos we have been at, the many indoor attractions are a hassle, and the layout(especially in the gift shop) don’t seem to expect many people using them. The result are disorganized lines and queuing.
Wow! Well worth the money, we thought it was just gonna be some small little zoo. But nope! wow the zoo is full of adventures and really interesting animals. Definitely worth bringing your kids here, also cute place for a date but make sure you prepare for alot of walking
This is my favorite zoo. I travel through Nebraska occasionally and my family loves it. My favorite things are the aquarium and the desert dome. The aquarium is one of best ones I have been to, so many different sea creatures. Another thing that is great about this zoo is that they are always upgrading it seems like they have new stuff each time I come.

This was such an amazing experience for myself and family! Considering the sheer volume of patrons, the restrooms were quite clean. The zoo itself seemed very well maintained, and it is very well laid out! I was a little disappointed that we couldn't see the elephants, but overall it was wonderful. My 5 year old son and I went on the skyfari, it was amazing BUT I definitely don't recommend if you have any fear of heights (I do, and I was terrified the whole spectacularly viewed time)!

My first trip & I loved the variety of animals & how close you could get to them!! However, at 160 acres they need many many more places to sit & rest, in the shade, spread around the zoo! I must admit, being able to bring in outside food & drink was a Godsend. They have so much to see & do within the zoo, other than just the animals!! A theater, rides that go through the zoo by train or in the air, feeding the giraffes, what appear to be an old decommissioned bush jeep & helicopter for the kids to play with that even make legit sounds & so much more! Price was reasonable for all that's available to you at $27 per adult. Gift shop of course & numerous concession stands I did not get to check out this first visit. Only other thing I'd like to see is more restrooms spaced out at better intervals. And since they currently allow outside food & beverage, more shaded places to eat would be nice. Overall, worth the trip & will definitely be returning!!

I don't even know how to begin, this is the best zoo I have been to in my life. The animal habitats are phenomenal. The lay out of the park means you can't miss anything. I counted 6 elephants, the most I've ever seen at a zoo. The kids discovery park is so much fun with amazing climbing equipment, kids can climb up and see monkeys climbing through a net tunnel, so cool. Make sure to bring your swim suit for the splash pad area. Food is expensive and lines are long and slow so bring a picnic. We arrived at 9 and just managed to see it all by 5! So give yourself the whole day.

A must see if you're in the area and well worth traveling to see. Wonderful animal viewing and miles of scenic walking trails. Plenty of indoor attractions like the desert dome, Lied Jungle, the aquarium and ape house to experience even if the weather isn't great during the winter months. I've been to San Diego's Zoo, which is considered one of the best in the world and Henry Doorly Zoo is right up there, all it needs is Pandas and southern California climate.

One of our favorite zoos! Love the variety of animals and how well taken care of they all are. Lots of indoor and outdoor exhibits. The only reason for the 4 star is there was only a couple places open to buy food and drinks— I waited in line for almost 2 hours to get lunch for everyone while the rest of my family continued checking out the zoo. Overall, great time!!
