It was amazing weekend gateway experience. Awesome hosts and environment make us so happy and plus Alpaca!!!!!! Goats, horses and farm dog and cat... It was heaven for us. Thanks for amazing experience, I would recommend to anyone. Don't hesitate, just go!

Chetan Kania

Saw this place advertised on Breakfast Television like a lot of other folks that week. The show made it look like you could interact with the goats but in actuality it cost $50 per person if you want to do that, otherwise you're just looking at them from behind a fence.

Shae Gabrielle

Such a beautiful and well maintained property, but of course the best part was the animals. My boyfriend and I did the Goat Shmurgle over the weekend and it was so much fun. The goats were adorable and so sweet and friendly. You can tell they are well taken care of and enjoy being around people. The cafe that is there has delicious food and the store has really nice goat milk related products. Next time I come back I will definitely do the Alpaca walk! Highly recommend this place!

Debbie, we want to thank you for the awesome day my family and I had at the Haute Goat Farm. It exceeded our expectations. What an experience walking and touching and playing with the goats. And to see the excitement and wonder on the faces of the little kids that were part of the group. Whatever you’re doing, keep it up. Wishing you continued success and hope to visit your farm again. Big Hugs Deb Thompson Richmond Hill

Aisha Irshad

Adorable goats and amazing experience. Very friendly atmosphere.

The experience at the haute goat is always top notch! If you go to just wander or sign up for one of the more interactive experiences, it's always worth it. The staff and animals alike are friendly and kind. My now wife and I went about four years ago in the dead of winter. The spectacular growth since then on our more recent visit gives us the confidence that The Haute Goat will be around for many years to come! Have a birthday, anniversary, or any reason to do something fun? The Haute Goat always has something and I promise you'll enjoy!

Sean Nouch

Awesome experience! We walked with princess Bella. She is a little bit stubborn. But she has pretty eyes!

Steve Smyth

I had one of the most experiences here with my partner. We did the experience where we got to make goat cheese and had so much fun. …

Patricia Raulino

These goats are the most silly and adorable creatures you’ll ever get to hang out with. Literally just pick up some grass and you instantly make 4-6 new best friends. I have to say, I was very pleased with how our tour guide (Kim) was able to move things along from one field to the next, and when it came time to the Shmurgle everyone was given some cedar branches so everyone gets some quality cuddle time with the goats. Here is one of my new friends

Matthew Kidman

Really fabulous place. Super friendly and accommodating staff, animals that are used to the presence of people. The restaurant is creative and makes good food, especially for a farm environment.

Jeremy Kojima

Great way to spend a day with the family. We did the goat schmurgle (walk & cuddle session), had lunch at the cafe, did some damage at the gift shop, and hiked the property. Great fun

Alistair DeJonge

What an experience. The goat schmurgle was so much fun.

Luca D

Loved playing with the goats! Amazing food too! Buy the ice cream! Made with goat milk. Yum yum!

Pam Deuzeman Antonello

Best time ever !! Trail is long and definitely feel like I got the whole experience ! Shout out to the lady who did the 230 goat walk today love the energy

Ramzi Tarabishi

The Alpaca adventure was wonderful as was hospitality of Debbie and everyone who helps there. We will be back!!!

Emy Ardila

The goat shmurgle was our focus. We were unaware there was walking involved for half the time, through rolling hills and some declining slopes not easy to maneuver for someone with mobility issues. So we missed half the tour. It would have been better if we had more time shmurgling! The cafe staff were short with us with some aggressive responses and didn't really seem to enjoy their job. For the cost for a family of four and our 2.5 hour drive there, I wouldn't say it was worth it. I would go again if we could get the shmurgling done without the walk to watch the goats eat.

Sherry Tompkins

Omg!!! We did the Baby Goat Smurrgle... can you say “cuteness overload” The staff that were with us through the entire experience... the holding of the baby goats, the walk through the farm with the goats and the play time (and feed treAt) with the goats ... were absolutely fabulous!!!! They truly made the experience the BEST EVER for my self, my daughter in law and my granddaughters. We made great memories to cherish!!

Rob Banks

The staff were friendly and the animals were adorable. Very clean and didn't smell like a farm. Great for kids (ha ha).

Ester V.

Pretty cool. They got goats and horses

Michael Di Paolo

So much fun! Everyone was super nice, and the farm was beautiful. I just wish that it didn’t rain so we could have roamed around the farm for a bit longer. The goats were fun to interact with too! …

Faizal Dasu

Great to experience casual farm life! They have up close experience packages (on the pricier side) but they also just let you go and explore and pay what you can.

Sabrina

So much fun

Derek Burrows

Adorable goats, light exercise and fabulous food.

Brenda Whitehead

The 1st Annual Goatchella festival today was an amazing event.... Hot and sweaty but full of farm adventures.. Food and maker stuff

I did the Shmurgles tour with my 10 month old daughter and we loved it! Not only were the staff friendly and knowledgeable but also very understanding and accommodating (my two friends with their children were on the tour as well). The goats are so friendly and gentle with the kids, they really do like the be cuddled! The lunch was five star as well. Highly recommend.

Goats and alpacas are lots of fun ( for a visit!) Grandkids had a great time, especially on the goat schmurgle, particularly the goat playground! ????????

Collective Bushman

LOVED my visit to Haute Goat for the day and my Haute Goat Soap! Fantastic visit on your own or with family & friends. We checked out the many lovely animals (not just goats, but chickens, horses, and llamas too!), we got hands-on with the goats, enjoyed a delicious home cooked meal with a gorgeous view, and ended with some souvenir shopping! Couldn't ask for a better day - definitely worth a visit!

Susanne Lee

Great place for kids!

Cathy McCracken

Mary

Amazing place. Great food also.

Rodrigo Lima

We had a blast! Such a wonderful experience. Thank you!

Ryan O'Sullivan

Great spot to take kids. Lots to see and do

Kathleen Kalpakis

Went for the “shmurgle” with the goats and it was totally worth it! We got to walk and herd the goats a long a beautiful trail and play with them at the end in a fenced in setting. Pretty easy to be distanced from other groups and everyone was wearing a mask so we felt safe. If you’re just planning a visit without a ticketed event, they encourage donations for entry. The farm is beautiful (and you can still see goats, horses, alpacas in their enclosures without a ticket). There is an awesome cafe/shop with outdoor distanced seating, yummy food, and different kinds of goat cheese.

Mara Cole

We had a super fun Goat Shmurgle experience today at HAUTE GOAT, near Port Hope. Lots of fun things to do for everyone (except leave your dog at home as they have working dogs of their own), including miles of hiking trails, chickens, horses, alpacas, a kids' play area, store and restaurant, and more!

Louis Mikolainis

Chef Langford is quite brilliant.

Jamie Pink

Nice experience to sleepover at their yurt. Free breakfast was super yummy!!

Breanne Plumley

Highly recommend this place. The property is beautiful, the staff are really nice and they take good care of the animals. My friends and I did the Alpaca Knuffle Shuffle then had lunch in their cafe. What a fun experience, we had a great time.

Krista Castelo

Amazing experience. The owner was super friendly and knowledgeable. Great little shop, as well as yummy restaurant. Only downside is it can get a tiny bit crowded with large groups (including kids) but to be expected! Suggest purchasing a family of four tour if you want more of an intimate experience :).

Jessee Deininger

Such a fun place to spend an afternoon!! Between the goat and alpaca experiences, the delicious Cafe and great gift shop, and other assorted animals to visit. We will definitely be back!

Natalie Legresley

Most amazing experience at the Alpaca sleepover!! All of the staff were amazing! JeffAndSue stayed with us in the sleeping area ????

Beth A Ortuño

An amazingly serene and welcoming place. They have a beautiful property with a cafe that serves amazing farm fresh food and delicious goat milk ice cream. We arrived 15 mins to closing but they welcomed us with a huge smile and never told us to leave like other places would. A truly family friendly atmosphere with friendly people, goats and alpacas! Will return again and bring friends and family!

Robert Luciani

We went to the Christmas market at night. Fun place to visit but the store was very busy and we ended up spending most of our time in line for food. The food was then most of the food was sold out so we could not buy anything. The atmosphere was great, but would recommend more bonfires and food.

Daniel N

Amazing experience! We got to walk around with all the goats and watch them munch away. At the end we even got to hold them! The staff here are also super friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

Esther Yung

Such an amazing friendly place!! Yoga with the alpacas was fabulous!! Can't wait to go back.

Michael Vinovich

Fun place to visit.

Nicole Burns

My husband and I booked the Alpaca Shuffle - and it was amazing. The staff are super friendly, informative and willing to take photos. The animals are so cool to see up close! Was a wonderful day, so happy we did this. Thank you! Shout out to Bella for looking so pretty in our pics.

DrS

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Haute Goat Farm. They were very welcoming and I bought some of the goat soaps which smell amazing with high quality ingredients. I would definitely come back here :)

Susan Jackson

The experience was one of kind. Debbie was so knowledgeable and welcoming to her farm. We will definitely be back to play with goats and all the other animals. The food at the Screaming Goat Cafe was AMAZING.

Ania Isabel

What an amazing experience! The farm is beautiful and inviting. Very nice staff and of course the goats, cute little munchkins. I never thought I would ever hold a baby goat in my arms but Haute Goat made it possible :) Thank you for a great experience and we will be back for the yoga and alpacas!

Martha L

Awesome fun.

Kathy Smart

The goat Shmurgle is essentially a guided walk with the goats that ends in a play pen where you can pet the goats. The walk was scenic, the goats are fun and the guides informative but the cost seems very high for the experience. Particularly as non paying visitors, a group of cyclists, were allowed in the play pen at the end with us. Would be a lovely place to visit (lovely shop/cafe- great choice for a break from cycling!) but would probably not pay the $59 pp + $15 for my 2 year old again - was tricky to keep him from running during the walk but very much appreciate that it would have frightened the poor goats, probably a better activity for slightly older children. Great little swing/slide set though!

James Day

Great fun. Food was really good too.

Omar K

Was a great experience, defiantly recomend!

Evelin Jacob

Enjoyed playing with baby goats ????

Kyle T

Great little spot. The goats are so cute. Not too far out of your way,go and see, being the kids.

Sinthu Srisivakumaran

Great experience with the family! Fun for all

Stephanie Kersey

So many goats, so little time! :) Just kidding - you could spend all day at Haute Goat Farm! It's free with a donation so try to rebember to bring some cash or change with you. The restaurant looks amazing and I will definately be back. Lots of chevre options to buy!

Bryce Ross

Friendly people, but not a lot to see.

Cinto Roy

Went here on a whim with my wife and what a wonderful experience. Farmer Barb and the gang were wonderful and friendly. Great shop with all kinds of foods and cheese. They are also starting with Friday and Saturday night dinners. All around fantastic experience and we will be returning!

Robin Liu Hopson

Highlight of our weekend great staff great goats great time

Jason Tucker

Worth the drive. Magical little farm. The staff were so friendly and shared so much knowledge. I love it here. The goats were so nice, and they loved being touched. Best cat everrrr. Highly recommend! ❤

Rob Zuccarini

Awesome family oriented farm. Great place to bring the kids to see the alpacas, goats and other farm animals... No charge to enter but the do have a donation bin and seeing what they do...well it's a no brainer...we donated and hope they keep doing a great job.

lize le

Beautiful property, wonderful and truly warm staff, excellent cuisine and sleeping in the alpaca pen was a blast. Will definitely go back for a private dinner again by Signe and stay in the amphitheater. May thanks to everyone for a super delightful experience! You're all awesome! Love, Liza and Nina Sept 2021

Jennifer Andrews

What an extraordinary place this is! We did both the Goat Shmurgle and the Alpaca Knuffle Shuffle and we absolutely loved the animals. The entire experience was so well-done: live music from some very talented guys, INCREDIBLY delicious lunch from some local cooking talent, and some of the friendliest people we've ever met. I can't praise this place enough. Thank you, Debbie and Shane, for making this day so special for us.

Rob C

Neat place for a quick road trip.

Melanie Wong

Amazing! I wasn't sure what to expect but it was quite the experience petting and feeding goats. I can now say I'm a goat person and found a new respect for these sweet animals. The farm is well kept and the owners are very friendly. …

Kellie Bonnici

So fun! Cute little goats and llamas too! The cafe is nice but sometimes they burn your grilled cheese ????

Ali Busato

Such an adorable and fun experience! We can't wait to go back. The staff are also super friendly!

Lee Bay

???? Coming to Haute Goat is like visiting family. Everyone is so welcoming, friendly and engaging. The animals are adorable and extremely well cared for. Screaming Goat Café has a tasty assortment of meals and goodies. The views are breathtaking and nature is abundant. What an absolutely funtastic experience thanks to Debbie and Shane ????

Lena Gillespie

Some of the best cheese's you will have. Just awesome.

17R3W

Chef Langford is very creative.

C P

Absolutely fantastic, the atmosphere, being with the goats felt fantastic. You are allowed to feed them, which the farm provides, hug, play and hangout with them. There are horses, hens and alpacas you can admire and take pics off. You can do nature walks on 200 acres of land. There are workshops such as milk a goat, make cheese etc. Of course a gift shop selling the most delicious fudge made from goat's milk, various tasty goat cheeses, luxury soaps, face and body creams. There is a cafe where you can grab snacks and lunches. You have to clean your hands, sanitize your footwear and wear a mask.

Stefan Radovanovic

This experience is as good as you would think! I highly recommend the long drive. Lunch is fancy.

Steph Patterson

Could use more organizations on how to view everything. But otherwise was a fun experience for the kids

Catherine Lempke

Great atmosphere. Friendly people. Great fun for all the family. Goats, chicken, horses and ....alpaca. Very nice walking trails. Best of all... the food. This Chef takes his food very very seriously. Never in our wildest dreams could we have thought that a Chef and a small kitchen in small town Canada can concoct such tasty dishes. Out of this world. I should finally mention all the staff. Kitchen staff and farm staff are exceptional. Great job people. Keep it up and we’ll return and recommend that everyone tries this piece of heaven. God bless you all.

Eldean Ivri

Fantastic place. Great staff. It is unbelievable to see this kind of farm within driving distance from Toronto. We visited with our seven year old and she loved the place. Will defenitly go back.

Kaleb Brooks

Nice. Goats are cute.

Rob O

Super fun experience. Loved being able to interact with all the animals and being able to spend the night in one of their yomes

Angela

Was happy to support this business and recommend them to family and friends, however, not anymore. They have decided to go along with the illegal mandates and have joined in on the segregation and discrimination of members of the community. They know its wrong and illegal to request PERSONAL MEDICAL INFORMATION.They've gone against everything Canadian after we all supported them and saw them through the last couple of years. Absolutely disgusting!

Q

It's like visiting friends, the staff are so friendly. They love their animals and it shows. We had lunch there, it was all made freshly to order and tasted amazing.

Raspberry Canoe

I finally got to walk an alpaca - thanks to Haute Goat! The experience was lots of fun and worth every penny. If you ever decide to take part in the alpaca walk, be sure to choose Obi Wan! He is feisty and full of personality! Thank you to all the employees of the farm. Everyone from the owners to the international volunteers from Australia, as well as the guys in the cafe were all super friendly. This place is only about an hour away from Toronto so be sure to check it out for a quiet day away from city life.

Luc Larocque

Had a very lovely time at the farm - we did both the alpaca knuffle shuffle and the goat shmurgle in one day. All the staff were very friendly and we loved the food from the cafe!

Nick Patel

Stopped by just for a visit, staff was very friendly, will have to join the full tour next time to interact closer with the animals, sandwiches and goat ice cream were delicious

Harlan Stockdale

Lots of cute animals and plenty of space to physically distance. Friendly staff.

Chris Campbell

The goat babies are absolutely adorable, you get to pet, play and even take them on a walk! They have good looking alpacas too! Debbie spends lot of time talking and answers patiently to questions! Oh don't miss the gift shop!! ❤️❤️

Yee Lee

My family and I booked a Haute Goat Shmurgle. We spent an hour walking with the goats, feeding them, and at the end snuggling with them, we can’t ask for a better time spend with family. I look forward to doing this again!!! Totally recommend it!

Stephanie Nowakowski Brown

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful day at Haute Goat. Petting a happy, healthy, munching goat is an incredible stress-release, and their goat-milk chocolate & red wine ice cream was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Jean-Marc Tessier

Very nice farm, not busy at all. We loved the friendly little goats and amazing alpaca

Bran

Such an amazing place!! Had so much fun walking the alpacas! Amazing grounds and the tour guide Andrea and the lady from Germany were amazing and nice! ????

Win Shi Wong

Very well organized and clean farm, love that it is women-led too. We participated in their Alpaca Knuffle Shuffle (walking with the alpacas), worth every penny! The staff are super fun and very knowledgeable about alpacas. Showed us the do and don'ts when handling alpacas, they know each alpaca personality and their quirks like they are a part of their family. The alpacas are super cute, we walked with them around the farm trails for about an hour. Be sure to snap a selfie with Bella, the photogenic alpaca. You can also check out the horses, goats, and chickens in the farm, too. Before you leave, make sure to try their goat milk ice cream and coffee float with goat milk. So yummy!

Jessica Friend

Friendly staff, nice facilities, good food. For the price, I expected a little more cuddling and less walking...and also thought there would be a lot more teeny baby goats but I understand that's hard to control! Overall great experience, the goats were definitely the highlight!

Leslie Melcher

Delightful place to see and touch real animals, to feel like you have discovered a new life for a couple of hours. Talk to the owner! She moved here and created that small haven of natural beauty.

Mo Ali

This place is amazing! The owners and staff are super sweet and they care for their animals amazingly! They have so many types too! Goats, chickens, alpacas, horses and more! The grounds are very well kept and they host such an awesome experience. I went to walk alpacas and it was so much fun! Educational as well!!

Heidi Tarte

Wanted to do something a little different for my son’s birthday...so we took a little day trip out to Haute Goat on June 28th. Booked the Goat Shmurgle Experience online the same morning. All safety precautions during covid times are very well enforced - mask donning requested when not able to physically distance, shoe dip, sanitizer and hand washing stations (outdoors) available. All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Knowing it was my son’s birthday, they made sure my son had his own goat to walk, instead of having to share with another guest. Property is clean & organised. Nice shaded patio area with picnic tables available. Animals seemed to be very well cared for and staff is enthusiastic when talking about them. Gift shop and cafe items were a little pricey (but not unexpected, $5 for a small snack sized goat milk ice cream was a little too goat-y flavoured for me but still tasty, I prefer it in cheese format). Speaking of cheese, any cheese sold there is actually not made on site or from their goat milk - it was explained to me that’s because they are not an actual goat milk dairy farm. Good and very interesting info. It was a very fun day, I was very impressed with ALL the staff we interacted with and the location is lovely. It was pretty hot and my son wasn’t really in the mood...but I would have liked to explore the acreage a bit more. Maybe next time! We both enjoyed the shmurgle and our time with the goats! THANK YOU!

B T

Free admission means it a great place to visit. Has a small gift shop, and an amazing restaurant called "the screaming goat" ????

Andrew Copeland

Love these guys! It is so much fun to be on the farm, with amazing people, fun critters, and now the fabulous restaurant! A must stop location if you are on the 401 or Hwy 1 - the wee detour is worth it. Where else can you Shmurgle (hug) a goat or alpaca in the same day, eat goat popcorn and have endless giggles! Can't wait to be back in Ontario and visit again.

Masha Jugovic

Phenomenal. I seriously can’t recommend this place more. Everything was perfect, down to the last possible detail. The goats, the alpacas, the dogs, the lunch, the live music, the PEOPLE! Debbie, Shane, and their volunteers have the biggest hearts and they welcomed us superbly. My mind was blown and my expectations were exceeded. We will definitely be back.

Kim Jaye

This 'wonder full' farm is a great place to spend the day- walk the trails, sign up for a goat or alpaca experience, pick up some goat milk beauty products and cheeses from the charming shop and relax on the beautiful outdoor patio while enjoying lunch from the Screaming Goat Cafe. You will want to repeat often!

Amanda M

my family went to walk alpacas and it was super fun!!!

Optimus Brine

Had such an amazing afternoon here walking the trials, visiting the goats, alpaccas, horses and ducks/chickens. The volunteers were super friendly and taught us a lot about goats. Highly recommended for a fun afternoon!!

Tarika Vijayaraghavan

Ordered the products online and the products are of very good quality and they are very well packaged. Debbie is also a very accommodating and patient owner who would answer any questions or concerns you have before you make a purchase. …

Ivan I

This was so much fun! Our guides were very informative, helpful and overall great! Must go place if you love animals, nature and a fun activity!

Marliya Haniffa

Great experience walking with the Alpacas! Will definitely be back!

Cathy Jillard

Well worth the visit. Go through the week when it's less busy to have quality time with the alpacas. The alpacas were a fun experience. Cafe on site with a nice variety of food options for lunch highlighting their goat cheese. Friendly people

Bryan Forstner

Wow so much fun! Took the goat tour. Fed the animals. They lead the way of the tour. All the goats have unique names. (Midnight) . Goats love ceder leaves. So cute!. Holding baby goats was great. Plus food in the restaurant/gift shop is delicious. So many items to try. Goat cheese, milk, yogurt, facial, body products. I bought hand soap. It leaves your hands soft. Staff are very friendly. Im sure to return.

Tyler Scott

These goats are the most silly and adorable creatures you’ll ever get to hang out with. Literally just pick up some grass and you instantly make 4-6 new best friends. …

Jennifer Williamson

Love this place so much! The schmurgle was worth it. You take a group of the goats on a walkabout around the farm and then hang out with them in an enclosed area at the end. Lots of snuggling time and fun adventures with the goats! ❤️

John Recker

What a wonderful experience! My wife and I just had a great experience. Loved being able to interact with the animals and hiking around the beautiful farm.

Richard Ding

If you want to find a place getaway from the city, this farm is the perfect place. The animals are so relax, the owners are also so relax. If you are a animal lover, you find the perfect place. You could try the sleep over experience. You will remember it for your whole life.

Sumeet Vats

Incoming Bias because I adore goats, but this was so much fun! Wifey and I did the "smergle" and it was lovely. Beautiful scenery, nice long walk with a gaggle of goats, then the hangout session. The goats are all love sponges so if you like animals they'll soak up all the attention! Also did the alpalca tour which was also super interesting. Cafe and store are also delightful. So glad we made the trip!

Jessica Zhou

Such a fun trip out of the city! We did the Alpaca Knuffle Shuffle, which was a fun hour long guided walk through the beautiful farm grounds with our alpacas. Debbie and her team made sure everyone was enjoying themselves and really helped …

Sweta Balaji

Beautiful country side tourist attraction, very friendly staff, highly recommended.

Kayleigh O'Connell

I saw the sign on the highway, stopped for about 20 minutes on a Friday afternoon and gave a donation of 8$. I'm so glad I did! I was fortunate enough to chat with the owner and now I know who to call when I'm ready to buy my own goats! ☺️

Natalie Pilla

You will have an absolutely amazing time here with all the animals. They are all well treated and loved by the family who runs this farm. Hands on experiences that let's you get close and personal with the animals, such as Goat smurgling and hikes with Alpacas. Would love to come again with friends and family! They are not a dairy but do carry goat products (cheese) from other farms. Shop also Carrie's goat cosmetic products and little crafted goods. Also includes an apiarie on site with delicious buckwheat honey for sale. Newly opened Screaming Goat cafe serves delicious locally sourced food if you want to grab a bite on site. Highly recommended!

Pam Aggelakos

Such a fun unique experience!

Victoria Fraser

Love the soaps, creams, and local cheese selection. They had a nice spread for Mother's Day this past weekend, even if the weather didn't quite cooperate. I suspect they were busier than expected. The shuttle was a great touch, but some traffic control in the shuttle parking lot would have helped everyone out a lot.

Alexander Sorkin

It was a bit overpriced - tickets were two times more expensive than in Toronto Zoo, and it was for 40 minutes excursion with goats to a meadow and back.

Nancy Arsenault

A wonderful experience in every way. Well organized, friendly staff, wonderful animals, excellent food, great music at lunch. A top notch experience all around. Can't wait to go back in the spring to see the new batch of kids!

Marisa Diaz

So relaxing. Take a hike with a herd of goats.

Angela D.

So much joy! Just got home from an overnight "Yome" experience. Incredible! Inside the yome the temperature was comfortable. Even on an August evening/overnight after a quick down poor. The yome stayed mosquito free all night (outside the door was another story - bring bug spray, thank me later). The bed was comfortable and the whole experience seemed quite private after hours. The salt water pool was gorgeous and offers a spectacular view of the beautiful red barn, an apple tree and the odd grazing horse. We did not purchase any additional experiences as the private time petting/scratching the animals through the fence was enough for us. They all came close and ate grass out of ours hand and interacted, but if you want SERIOUS animal contact you will have to pay for a goat schmurgle or an alpaca shuffle. NO DIRECT CONTACT included in the overnight camping package price. The included breakfast was delicious! The goat ice cream is succulent lol. Can't wait to return for a goat milking experience! Thanks for a beautiful time.

Spike The dancer

Very cute farm . It was a cold windy day The trails were icy but I will go back in the spring with rubber boots ! The cafe is good .

Adriana Z

Amazing! We took our goat-obsessed 5 year old as a surprise and he had the time of his life. The goats are so gentle ????

Maria Papaioannoy-Duic

Went for a last minute visit on the weekend. It was absolutely incredible experience. Full disclosure i have a fear of animals, but there was such a sense of calm that i felt when on the grounds. There are so many experiences that you can sign up (but that takes planning). A must do experience!

Syed Ahmed

The alpaca walk is so much fun!!! We also loved the chance to see Icelandic horses up close. If you have an accomplishment to celebrate, or need a big pick-me-up, this place is just the thing. The staff are super nice and we felt like we were in Heaven for the day.

Julia Khvatova

Wonderful family owned farm. We had lots of fun with goats here. It has lots of cool activities you can do. We did the goat milking and then made the goat cheese, it was unforgettable experience. Definitely recommend!

Flavio Calafati

Spent a wonderful afternoon with Debbie and her team. Myself, husband, sister & brother in law had a wonderful time walking through the farm with the Alpacas. My husband fell in love with the border collie pup. I fell in love with Debbie's Apple Cider! Thank you for the great experience! We'll certainly be back for more great events in the spring!

Cathryn Klincans

Haute Goat is fantastic! I found out about them during a Google search late last year, but was only able to go recently because of the pandemic. I went with both my mom and dad and we had a great time! I had fun doing both the Goat Shmurgle and the Alpaca Knuffle Shuffle. I had requested Chewbacca the Alpaca for the Knuffle Shuffle as I had seen him online. Not only was my request honored, but my family was the only one doing the alpaca walk. While maybe not at all surprising considering the pandemic, still great nonetheless! I also got a veggie basket and was made VIP for the day! Thanks for the amazing experience!!!

Peter Smith

A lovely place to spend the afternoon. Lots of goats and kids will love it.

Alexia L

This experience was so wonderful! The goats were super adorable, very friendly. Our instructor was great, she tied in the sensory experience of the goats to the yoga. You could do as much of the yoga as you wanted...I was enjoying the goats way too much to participate in most moves, hahaha. There's also lots of hiking around the property. After the yoga we had lunch at the little cafe, just a few choices but very tasty! Had the grilled cheese which was very good. Just an hour drive from Toronto. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for something entertaining and unique to do!

Jamie Larocque

What a wonderful little farm, my kids had a blast with the goats!! Then we went into the little cafe and found some maple fudge made with goat milk/butter. Omg! It was amazing!!!!!!

Adrian Dew

Introduced to Haute Goat by a friend and went for a drive. Fantastic little shop and cafe, great views of the region from all over the property!

Kelly Kelly's

We smurgled and slept with the alpacas both experiences were awesome. In the morning we had a gorgeous breakfast. We can’t wait to go back and do it again.

The experience was fantastic, the staff were fun and informative, the lunch was delicious! I will be back!

Melissa Campbell

Ummmmmmm hehehehhehehe food was okay but goat milk ice cream was really good. Seeing the goats was enjoyable, food was kind of cold (meat pie). Parking was easy.

Heidi S

Absolutely loved it! Would definitely love go again. The place was clean, organized and gave great information. Thanks for the great experience. My 4 year old hasn't stopped talking about it.

Such a fun experience! I've gone once in the summer and once in the winter and was delighted both times. Highly recommend the summer goat yoga

vanna l

Great family fun! Their cafe makes EXCELLENT lunch food too!

Kejdi Zepishta

There is no off days at the farm!

Diane Mohabir

If you're looking for something different and you love animals, GO HERE! Ask for Kim. She is the most fun and laid back guide there was. She made the experience even better. You get up close and personal with all the sweet goats and they are super friendly. I'm booking my next experience as soon as I can. Goat yoga, here I come!

Jena Karstoff

The team at Haute Goat made my husband’s 40th surprise birthday so incredible! They organized an amazing themed cake and setup a spot for us and our guests. The property is incredible and meticulously maintained. The goats are so adorable, friendly and gentle especially with little kids! Definitely an amazing place to celebrate a special event or just take an afternoon stroll! Thanks again to Haute Goat for a fabulous experience!

Domenica P

Beautiful place with very friendly animals and helpful staff! Well maintained. Will be visiting again!

Linda Gardinor

Great food and also a pleasant treat for Schitt's Creek fans :)

Heidi Bazos

Amazing place with great people and atmosphere (and food!). Can't wait to be back

Right from the moment you step out of your car, you are greeted with such warmth, and immediately made to feel welcome by the very gracious hosts, Debbie & Shain. This place is a tiny slice of heaven/paradise! The farm and panoramic views are stunning. The animals are so much fun (goats, alpacas, chickens, horses!!). If you're lucky, you may get to snuggle a baby goat!!! They share their property for free, self-guided tours, or offer private guided tours for a nominal cost. You can also participate in fun and informative workshops that they host (check out their website!!). AND, you can shop in their store for products made with goats milk (wonderful skin care products such as soaps with exquisite and unique scents, face creams and cleanser etc., fudge, and caramel corn). They sell honey made from beehives located on their property, as well as some of the best artisan goat cheeses from Ontario and Quebec. I truly LOVE this place. Do yourself a favour......plan a visit, and enjoy the experience. You won't be disappointed.

We hosted our very first FLEXSPACE goat stretching field trip at Haute Goat this past weekend and...WOW, we'd like to thank Debbie and her wonderful team for such a positive experience! …

Fun Half-Day outing with the kids. This place is a well-kept working farm. They have a few kilometers of walking (nature) trails, they have cabins for over-night stays and they have GOATS... lots of Goats. Entrance to the farm is Pay-What-You-Can. Then you can purchase tickets to walk with the Alpacas or do Yoga with the goats or you can get a ticket for the Goat Shmurgle. I recommend this last one. It is effectively a walk with a herd of goats but something about it was very fun. The goats are extremely friendly and comfortable around people. There is a shop and a restaurant on site that sell Goat products. The restaurant had several very yummy options on the menu but be warned...all the cheese is Goat cheese. I took 2 picky 9 yr olds who refused to eat anything because the recipes included Goat cheese and the food 'tasted bad'. Personally I thought the food tasted good but that's 9 yr olds for you. There was a small playground set for kids but all-in we only 2.5 hrs before the girls were bored. So then we jumped into Port Hope for a walking tour! You would be hard pressed to fill an entire day here unless you wanted long walks in the fields so keep that in mind!

Hasan

This farm is awesome. The owners are super friendly. During open hours you're free to come onto the property and see the animals from the horses to goats to alpacas and even the farm dog who wants to play fetch with you. If you want to spend some money, they have some goat experiences that can be booked as well as a walk with the alpacas. The cafe on site has excellent food and could compete with any place in the city. The whole family loved the visit and our walk with the alpacas. We hope to go back.

Julia G

Super fun! Great place to see and interact with goats and alpacas. There are also horses and chickens on this hobby farm. Great cafe for lunch. Has a gift shop with alpaca wool items, some soaps etc. You can do goat or alpaca yoga where you interact with the animals while doing yoga or just sign up to give them a walk. Try the goat milk ice cream. Kid friendly. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Evelyn Mang

We loved this place!! After a long stressful week at work we decided to head to Haute Goat for a Shmurgle (goat cuddling)!! It was truly amazing, from the first moment all the goats run out of their pen for a walk around the property to the shmurgle back in their pen. The staff and volunteers at this farm are incredibly friendly and informative all more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the goats, alpacas and horses. We will be back for sure!!

Reza Asadikia

Be careful to be sure they are open before entering. Website said open, gates were open and as we entered the guard dog bit onto my sons arm. They are guard dogs doing their job, we understand, but the are appeared open so we entered. It was frightening as the dogs aare large

Nadine R

We went for the Alpaca Knuffle Shuffle and Goat Shmurgle on a Friday. We had the most amazing time interacting with the animals and it was quite scenic as well. We walked Bella and Jirou (not sure if I spelt her name correct) who were so photogenic!!! All the staff were very nice as well and taught us about the animals.

Tahnee Malazdrewicz

Here is the only thing you need to know: yes it's a goat (and other animals farm), and yes you can pay what you want to enter, but the only way to touch and feel the goats (and other animals) is by buying the goat (or alpaca) experiences. There are a lot of trails and lots of sanitation options. Bring sunscreen, bug spray and a healthy attitude. Also bring you love of all things goat (soaps, milks, cheeses, inedibles, etc). Debit payment is accepted and there are indoor washrooms that are cleaned after every use. Just do everyone a favour and don't #2.

Mathew Truong

We did the alpaca sleepover, and it was a great experience. We got to hang out with the alpacas (about 9 in total) all to ourselves for the whole night and next morning and slept literally beside them the whole night. One of the white alpaca (Obi) will offer kisses if he likes you and you approach gently. You also can explore the rest of the farm as well--can easily spend a day here. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Only thing to note: the alpacas can be a bit noisy at night, be prepared for bugs at night, and the washroom/shower is about a 2 min walk from the sleepover location, but a porty potty is provided.

City ppl own and pretend to farm

This place is a vacation close to the city. The owners are so lovely, and welcoming for outsiders to visit their land and enjoy the animals. They are knowledgeable in everything goat! Goat cheese, goat behaviour, goat history, but dont forget about the 'goat babies'! The goat 'smurgles' is a hilariously enjoyable way to get up close and personal with these gentle, hilarious creatures. Watch the babies hop along the trails, learn their individual names and behaviours, and fall in love with these entertaining animals. Alpacas, horses, and puppies are there to play with too!

Debby Schieck

What a lovely place to visit. I want to be here for Christmas dinner.

Naomi Baxter

We came here yesterday for the shmurgle experience and had a wonderful time! The goats are super cute and the cafe and store had some delicious treats and cool products. We’d love to come again back soon.

Tracy Wait

It's free admission, pay what you can. Before entering we each must dip our shoes to disinfect their underside. This is because their animals eat everything that grows from the ground and they don't want to bring any city bacteria to them. There are Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Alpacas, Icelandic Horses, and chickens. There are many activities to do there and there is a cafe which offers food and beverages. It's a small farm but we stayed there for almost 2 hours! A delightful place to spend time with family and friends.

Harrison Dance

Booked an Alpaca hike with my daughter and had an amazing experience!!! I love how experienced and knowledgeable the staff are. We will def be coming back and I would highly recommend this to anyone!!!

B Campbell

Great farm to visit for an afternoon of fun! Plenty of alpacas and goats which you can feed, and there are also chickens and horses to see! Big space with some trails at the back, a playground and also a cafe. Great place for some social distancing fun. Only around 15 min drive from downtown Port Hope. Free to enter but it is "pay what you can" at the gate, or you can book some experiences like making your own goat cheese!

Jennifer McKnight

A really nice place. Very gentle and friendly people.

sangram mohapatra

We visited the farm today and I am glad we did it! We were greeted warmly at the gate by a beautiful young lady in her 70s(age guessed by me and apology if I am wrong). She makes every visitor feel at home and encourages to explore the farm. The animals are so well kept and seem a happy lot. There is a wonderful cafe inside and a store specializing in goat milk based products and alpaca wool materials. All the staffs are well behaved and the owner of the farm is a wonderful lady. Overall, the farm is a hidden gem and a must visit away from the hustle and bustle of the City life. My sincere thank you to the owner and staffs of Haute Goat Farm. Please keep up the great work!!!

P P

Amazing experience holding Baby Goats and feeding them. The staff were amazing especially LINZIE! She was so kind and funny too! Definitely going back! I really loved the whole experience.

Salma Bakr

A cute little farm to spend a few hours. You can stroll around to see the horses, chickens, goats and alpacas, and walk around the corn fields. For this, it’s free to enter but you can “pay what you can”. Or you can book an experience like goat yoga, and make your own goat cheese.

Laura Piccione

Such a great animal interaction! Very informative tour as well. We very much enjoyed the alpacas, goats and Icelandic horses. We will definitely be back!

Alan Kivaev

A fantastic experience. 4 of us went on a goat shmurgle and absolutely loved it. The goats are all adorable and friendly. Debbie and everyone else were super helpful and kind. We had a ton of fun walking with the goats and then feeding them in the goat playground. Lunch was beyond awesome, a big shout out and thank you to the chef. We opted for the bison burgers, but after finishing those we split a grilled cheese and soup as well, not because we were hungry, but we wanted to try some more. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much and we will most definitely.be back in the spring for an alpaca hike or another shmurgle!

Betty Headon

Excellent ! The tour was wonderful and very informative. Alpacas and goats were happy to see us - they are so well cared for and so cute. Goats couldn't get enough loving - so friendly. Lunch was delicious and the little store is very nice. Beautiful views as well - bonus! Gorgeous property and really nice people. Just an all round wonderful experience.

Lahu11

Visited this Morning , what an awesome experience. Owners and Staff were very friendly . Cafe is excellent and the Place and Animals are clean and well taken care of . Highly recommended .

Lunch was fantastic! The goats were a blast to play with. A must do with the fam.

I am so impressed by this little farm. Not only is it set in a gorgeous, sprawling valley, with amazing pastoral scenery to boot, it is a wonder of animal husbandry. The animals here are loved and taken care of so well, and the farm itself boasts a lovely apiary and apothecary garden. The products that the farm sells, like cosmetics and cheeses and alpaca wool items, are of fantastic quality. If you ever need a pick-me-up, the farm is free to visit, and the goats will surely bring a smile to your face! I am so excited to return to this gem!

Skips SMN

We spent the night in the cozy shack with the Alpacas and it was amazing. Apparently in the summer you can sleep between the male and female alpacas right in their same hut. In the winter you have a nice cozy little shack right next to their hut and its very warm. The farm cat stayed with us too which was awesome. Just a very magical night and the cafe has shockingly good food. I highly recommend staying for dinner I was not expecting such unbelievable food!

Howard K

Loved visiting the goats and the alpacas. Picked up some fresh veggies from the farm before heading home.

Candace

This was worth the drive!! Such a great experience from walking to holding them. I will definitely be going again.

Alvaro José

Great little farm to bring kids to. Not very big so unless you opt to join in on scheduled activities, it will not take much time to go around the whole area. There is no entrance fee. Only scheduled activities require payment to join. There is a cafe there with good food. I recommend the bison burger.

Michael Asilov

Thank you for beautiful experience today at Goatchella. I grew up with my grandparents at cow farm. Today I was 35 years younger for few hours.

Joel G

Stayed in the “Dome” on the haute goat farm. If you want to hear farm dogs barking all night while romantically sleeping in the freezing cold under the stars, this place is for you. The dogs bark to protect the goats from predators during the night. They WILL BARK FROM DUSK UNTIL DAWN. Oh, and having a “tour” inappropriately walk around our clear dome with absolutely zero privacy was a nice touch as well. Fair warning. Save your money.

Paul Arsenault

Truly enjoyed our Alpaca Knuffle Shuffle. Could spend hours at this place. Pleasant staff and obviously well managed facility.

Adam Gdyczynski

I think this place really would've been 5 stars had I come on another day. But today, the baby goats had very recently undergone a surgery that removes their horns, and they were not happy about it. They didn't really want to be touched or held and I can't blame them. It was also upsetting to see bloody wounds on their tiny heads. Please consider not hosting these shmurgles when the goats are recovering from this surgery - they were clearly not happy and ultimately I didn't get the experience I came for. The staff were super friendly and I really stress this place would have been 5 stars had the goats been their normal baby goat selves. The adult goats were very fun to interact with. Also, the food from the cafe was incredible. Hopefully one day I can return and get the shmurgle I know exists in the right conditions ❤️

Adri Podraza

Such an amazing place and the Alpaca sleepover was an amazing experience. The staff are incredible, friendly and wonderful , they added to the incredible experience, sharing interesting facts about the game pointing out all the great hiking trials sharing there star gazing tips. In the morning we where treated to a delicious breakfast made by Marianne, bacon, eggs and home fries taste even better when made with love and enjoyed with alpacas This will become a yearly tradition for my sister and me. Thank you at Haute Goat, we can’t wait to come back!

Flex Space

I think my son wants to work here one day! He talks about it 'til this day. He loves animals and he loved his experience at HG. Reconnecting kids with nature. Keep up the great work, guys!

TheSchnoot

So much fun and the goats are so friendly! The goat cheese grilled cheese was delicious too!

Lin Ma

Had so much fun! Staffs are friendly and patient. Very relaxing experience ❤️

Olivia Hulsman

Goats, llamas, chickens, and some good food. The price might be a bit steep but worth every penny.

There is no off days at the farm!

Colby Kriegl

Hilariously adorable dwarf goats and fluffy alpacas are the highlights here (but only to look at unless you join a paid event), but it's also worth visiting the surprisingly excellent restaurant and the shop filled with skin care products and goat cheese. It's also just a beautiful place to go for a walk, as there's lovely views of the hills and lots of peaceful tree-filled lanes. One side note: while the big fluffy livestock guardian dogs are very sweet with humans, visitors are warned that they're not so sweet with other dogs, so it's probably best to leave the pooch at home. But still a wonderful place to visit and have a wander for a day!

Ben

Farmer Debbie & her goat friends joined my class (virtually) and she was amazing! My kiddos just adored her, she answered questions and knew exactly how to interact with my students. What a wonderful experience. Thank you again!

Jessica Y

We had the loveliest afternoon spent walking alpacas for my partner's birthday! Deborah and the guides went above and beyond to make this day special for him, including bringing out a cake and allowing us to help feed them after. Each of them have such unique personalities, names and physical characteristics - we could have spent the entire day with these adorable creatures :) Thank you again for making this memorable! We have recommended this experience to our family and friends and we look forward to visit again one day.

Judi Sporn

It was fun , i was expecting to be able to pat the Alpacas but it was a fun time.

Courtney Necoloff

Great experience. Very informative staff and volunteers. Food was also delicious. Great views from the property as well. We will definitely be back

Sheree Yoon

Amazing place! Farmer Debbie was fantastic and the hike with the alpacas was a dream come true! Great place for kids and adults :)

Phil Rylie

This is the most beautiful activity to do with your better half or family. As soon as you arrive you can breathe the nature and friendly atmosphere. The walk with alpacas is wonderful! Not only you walk the one assigned to you, but also can you interact with the other ones taking pictures here and there hugging, kissing and having fun all together. Food is outstanding and homemade and drinks are also great. Staff is so kind and smiley, which gives you serenity. I definitely recommend everyone to come and enjoy this lovely farm and know the people who run it everyday ????

chuang li

A bit pricey but still a fun day out on the farm

Deb Thompson

We went vegetable picking and the experience was made so much better by our guide. Would 100% recommend to anyone who is interested in making the trip!

Jessica Ennis

Extremely friendly staff who guided us through our very first stroll with goats. Eddie the goat may seem aloof but he actually rocks. And the baby goats were, as expected, thoroughly adorable. Beautiful country setting to spend an afternoon in.

Roman

Such a soulful place! A cafe must try - delicious! Great place to come with kids.

Anne Arsenault

Went for a bachelorette and had a great time! Debbie was a great host and made us feel at home. Highly, highly recommend! Great activity for families with young kids too
