Great place to bring the family for a few hours the wolves are amazing.

Jackie McGowan

Wonderful visit, was lucky enough to see Luna and the young woman who works there is extremely knowledgeable.

Christian Elia

It exceeded expectations. You'll definitely see wolves!

Jane Suchomski

Did the Evening Wolf Howl with my family. Saw the entire pack, got a good, brief educational talk and heard the pack howl. The hike was fun, but muddy. Didn't hear the wolves howl back, but it was still an unforgettable experience. Looking forward to visiting again!

Pierre Bouchard

Fun couple hours.

Amanda Mathewson

Pleasant experience, friendly staff. Informative and helpful. Very laid back setting. I loved that I was able to explore around the property with my family to check out what wild life was around! We got to see a baby moose and pet some horses as well as the wolves we spotted.

Vivian Petho

Wonderful time today viewing the wolves. Strict protocols in place: purchase tickets ahead, social distancing and masks required.

Rob Lundeen

We really enjoyed our visit to the wolf centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were lucky and saw several pack members up close through the viewing glass. A very powerful moment.

Jonathan Robert Gonzales

Such a cool spot to visit especially during the winter. If you come at the right time you can see the whole pack. Could literally spend all day there! Staff were super informative and made the experience extremely educational! :)

brandon bilodeau

Good place to take pictures

Ripley Maddock

Amazing place to watch wolves kept mostly in a natural habitat. You can see them through one way glass. At first you might not see anything as they blend into the forest do well. Slowly you will start to pick them out. You can also read up on the pack and see how they interact. A great place to visit when in the area. Great for kids too.

Ginette Alejandra Mardones Cortes

It was an amazing experience, We just left worried because the wolf's seems so skinny maybe because they are captive?Even when we loved to see them so close we would rather they would be free like any other animal In this world.

Scott Guminy

A great place to learn about wolves and see them up close through glass!

Leonid Kushnir

Great experience for the kids and the whole family. You can actually see wolves in the wild. Would strongly recommend to everybody.

Jason Legacy

We enjoyed our time and were able to see all 11 of the pack from the viewing windows. The only thing would be nice to get some more current videos, the one played looked like from the 90's. Still informative and the staff were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.

Ben Lubberts

Informative and clean! The staff were amiable and knowledgeable, and the price was great, especially considering it goes towards supporting the wolves and dogs. All in all a grand time, would love to come again!

Rob Buston

A wonderful place, very knowledgeable staff, the guy sitting on the stool taking questions was an absolute pleasure to talk to. We were really lucky all the Wolves were out when we went. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.

Paula Nakamura

Wonderful experience watching the wolves pretty close to the observatory. We were lucky to be there right the moment they were being fed. Hiking and photographing the trails are memorable activities.

Chris

Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. All 7 wolves were out in the viewing area. Very neat for sure. Halliburton First in general is an incredible place. 100,000 acres of private property with many other things to do. highly recommend checking it out, along with the Wolf center.

First Last

Cool place. You need a bit of luck to actually see the wolves, you get 90 minutes. Price reasonable. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of displays, gift shop, movie room, parking, washroom. Recommended for photography or families.

David Barnes

We've visited a couple times, and we were fortunate enough to see the wolves feeding on both occasions. An excellent experience to any nature lover. We will definitely return again.

Mike Green

A real joy to visit - the staff clearly care about the wolves so much and were generous when answering questions. The non-invasive viewing area was a nice touch and I loved the random collection of wolf related movie posters. Had a great time for an hour. Thank you.

T Woody

So awesome to see such majestic creatures up close.

Tawny Stowe

The staff are so passionate and eager to answer questions on the facilities and the animals. The opportunity for education on the ecosystems of this region is readily available through the entire centre. We truly enjoyed our visit and will be back for an update whenever we are in the region!

This Museum is great on Wolfs History..It was an great experience for us. You need to book your slot online in advance. They have nice and clean museum, where you can see wolf's from one-sided glass window. We love museums so it was good for us to visit. They also have a media room where you can learn more about wolves. They have free parking as well. Greats for kids as well. Recommended!!! For sure!! We will be back soon with friends!!

Jeffrey Care

This place is truly an amazing experience. The musuem, the art and obviously the wolfs are all intruiging to see!

Kyle Adamo

Great stuff. Knowledgeable staff, saw wolves instantly (10am), and learned lots with the various exhibits there.

Eve Olnff

Very nice, beautiful place. There is a small museum inside and after you can see the wolfs :) I like it

Hermann Thoene

This is a must-visit when you are in the area. Watch an un-socialized pack of wolves from a safe viewing room. Great opportunity to take pictures too - just make sure you disable your flash, otherwise you just get the window reflections. The connected museum shows lots of wolf related items - from stuffed animals over books, pictures, art and much more. Great family outing destination.

John John

I hope if they have better service and you can see the wolf at least from outside!! I spent less than 5 min walking inside the museum and watching wolfs from the cabin! Doesn’t worth $15 and driving all way up there! Drove 2 hrs and half ( paid $30)! visited on the family day 17/02/2020.

Turner Hyde

Kristin? Was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable.

Zarina Pipes

This place was incredible. There are wolves, and Hershey, the resident moose :) I bought a couple great books for my friends classroom. We spent about 1.5 hours watching the wolves, but there's tons to do. If you like snowmobiling, they have trails, and it was the last weekend for dog sledding! Tons of outdoor activities, and the drive up was absolutely gorgeous. I HIGHLY recommend!

J Beechu

I’ve never seen a wolf up close so decided this was the perfect opportunity. We were lucky as the whole pack were right in front of the observation deck-although it was hot so they were not too active. You look through a one way window- they cannot see you, but they can definitely smell and hear you! Their noses were really at work! The Center has some beautiful displays of stuffed and posed animals with some information about each, and some art depicting wolves from various cultures. I think most kids would love it!

amber mcalpine

Fantastic place to go for kids and adults. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. In winter they somethings have one of the indoor tour and educational areas closed off but regardless the wolves are always able to be viewed and heard through a microphone system.

Derek Stonier

This place is the coolest...a must see if you're in the area

I had booked for 3 adults and 1child. There was another group of 3 elderly adults. We spent an exuberant amount of money to be given a 20 min lecture and a 45 min hike through the bush. The representative was unhygienic as she lead the way while all of us had to endure the pungent smell coming from her body for 45 min, all the while being eaten alive. We did not get to view the wolves in their enclosure. There were only 7 people who attended, and we could have maintained distance but instead, the organization would gladly take our money and send us on our way. We were allowed to enter the store part, but not able to view the museum that was to the left. Absolutely horrible experience and do not recommend to anyone unless you are willing to spend close to 400$ to have your olfactory senses violated and your time wasted. In reference to your response? It was my daughters birthday day gift to her, therefore, dinner for 4 came to over 100$, my daughter wanting a wolf stuffie and a shirt to remember her experience, another 100$ and the cost for the group alone approx 200$ cost of gas to get there? 40$ To use the excuse that your “ staff members deodorant breaks down” is a poor excuse in taking accountability for proper hygiene standards. We were advised of how slow business was, therefore presentation should be of one’s priority? Is this not standard practice? The entire group was offended because the scent was so strong, it was lingering in the air like hot gas, and no one could escape it, leaving a disgusting taste in my mouth. Hence why I walked AHEAD of her with my daughter. It WAS NOT an experience I ever wish to go through, and I hope you can rectify the matter as opposed to shout out the obvious “that’s she’s human” well I’m human and I also know better. There is no justified reason why your staff member couldn’t have had herself a bird bath and changed her shirt. Why I even have to explain this to any human is beyond me. Secondly, it was NOT my job to ensure the safety of anyone but myself and my group, and found myself on two occasions, assisting the elderly couple across the rocks and river that were on the trail. Not your staff member, but myself and my mother. Perhaps advising that it is terrain unsafe for those with limited mobility, having to use a cane… etc. Not wheelchair friendly. With respect to your museum? A 5 second horseshoe in your gift shop? You’re not even a museum, more like a display, and I’m surprised that even that little experience in itself was denied. But I can use the bathroom that no one is going to clean before me or after, and that in itself makes sense? Can’t LOOK at your display even though it was a few feet to the left of your merchandise… Now that you have the background information. The centre in fact DID disappoint, and my review still stands.

J Brayman

So cool! Despite having a family cottage nearby for over a decade, I had never been to the Wolf Centre. So glad we took the time to go- finally! Due to the pandemic, we had to book our time in advance, but in all reality this was a good thing. We had more space and more time to view and learn about the wolves and their habitat! Pricing is reasonable, protocols safe, and definitely a great place for people of all ages. There is also an adjacent campground, including pig farm (I wonder why ;-), walking/biking trails, outdoor activities, picnic area and cookhouse. Worth checking out!

Christine Shea

Amazing experience!! We were fortunate enough to see the wolves through the day! Awesome employees, who passionately care for these animals!

Katerina Kurganova

Quite interesting place to go. Good museum, a lot of wolf related information. Good observation rooms. We were not lucky and have not seen real wolves but the environment looks very impressive. Short trail helps to keep us active but not tired. And the food in the restaurant was very good. My daughter ate her and mine portion of chicken fingers. Highly recommend to visit this place!

Mark Toffoli

What a wonderful experience learning about the local wildlife, there use of roadkill which protects wildlife from further kills and spending time observing the Wolfpack. I took pictures of the alpha male and female plus a couple of the younger pack members. The observatory was intelligently placed and provides a noninvasive way to get to know the pack. We will be back!

Wendy June Ashworth

We were lucky to see all 6 wolves from the observation room where there are one way windows so the wolves can't see the humans and get scared

Outdoor Adventurer

Was here in September 2019 and it was terrific to see the wolves up close and personal I highly recommend this spot for sure great people and very informative

King Castro

I was grateful and blessed to see them because I have never seen a wolf in my entire life. The art and the replica of animals especially the wolves themselves were amazing. it's almost sad for us who live downtown Toronto because we had to drive 4 hours just to get there but it was worth it and I had a lot of fun.

Janet Marvin

We love to support local venues now that we live in Haliburton, but this venue was a rip off for folks visiting. This is my 3 rd visit and forget that I’ve never seen any wolves , the host did nothing to add any value to our tour, she said nothing other than “ any questions “ . We came with our 4 grand kids . The film they showed us was made probably in the 70’s , grainy and kept shutting down. My pants stuck to the seats ! The owners should hire a company to rework the end user experience,so that if you don’t see the live wolves you still come away saying , wow that was worth the trip and money. I’d live to volunteer to help them out . Just ask . The venue could be such a gem !

Vijay Prabhakar

Very informative place about the Wolves. As they say, Wolves portray the actual wilderness. They could have more activities. (like a safari would be nice)

Kg222 G

Amazing place! Saw several of the adults and all 4 pups!

Greg Wiley

It was our first time there and we loved it. The site we had was a really good sized waterfront site on a nice lake. Tried the restaurant there at base camp and the food was really good. Rented a canoe for the day and the equipment was in really great condition. You have to pick it up and drop it off yourself but its not a big deal. We will definitely be back to do more exploring.

John Kowarski

If one is into wolves then this is a must visit. An excellent viewing area, behind large one way mirrored glass windows allows for some excellent photos. There is a very good wolf presentation ( video ) in a small auditorium. Local wildlife mounts are displayed in an adjoining room. A couple of hours, to half day spent visiting, is well worth the price of admission. It's a short drive from the town of Haliburton.

William Rawlin

My partner and I had a blast. We were at the Wolf Centre for about 8 hours over 2 days and it was a lot of fun. Both days were great for viewing with the entire wolf pack in full view. They have a cool museum and the gift shop had a lot of nice stuff in it. The staff were super knowledgeable and you can tell they really enjoy their jobs. We plan on returning next year.

Silvina Joseph

I took my 3 young kids on 18 Dec 2019 the staff and the place is amazing though the activities there don’t start till next week he staff was very accommodating in making our visits worthwhile special thanks to the chef and the Cook restaurant Johnathan for the most amazing Beef brisket sandwich and the hospitality highly impressive! At the wolf center Paul was so accommodating the kids questions and queries and made our trip worth it Thank you can’t wait to visit in summer .

Sanjeev Shantharam

Fantastic place. We were lucky enough to arrive when they were starting their feed and managed to see all 6 wolves feasting. The other exhibits there were well curated and I learned a lot. Definitely would recommend a stop here if you're in the area. An hour is good enough and do book in advance to avoid disappointment

Angelika Brezwan

It was absolutely amazing experience. The staff shared all their knowledge. Can t wait to come back with the kids

Cassie D

This is a must go experience!

Mitch Knight

I always visit here when I'm in the area, it's just so cool! The staff are very knowledgeable about the wolves and other wildlife. There is a large viewing area at the wolf centre, so you can see the wolves in the daytime. Wolf Howls at night are a personal favorite.

Karen pelzowski

They got the wolfs to howl. It was interesting

Salman Khoja

Very knowledgeable staff and an awesome viewing area. Totally worth visiting. Paul and the lady who is Oakley's owner (don't know her name sorry) are very engaging with visitors and passionate about what they do. I'll highly recommend visiting this place!

Jesse Van Parys

Totally worth the drive. Incredible to see these animals up close and the staff is fantastic.

kali howell

i went a couple years ago with a friend and it was a great experience aside from the animals did not look too pleased to be there, they looked quite miserable.

rebeccamfisher

A stunning and wonderful experience! We went is August and saw some of the protected wolves and heard the howl. We learned a lot from the posted information as well as the guides and other guests. We, as 2 26 year old adults had a great time and it made for an amazing day. The snowmobile and Mill museum left much to be desired. Overall there was lots to do and see including the dog sledding dogs who were very sweet and clearly well taken care of.

Rebecca Crawford

First and foremost, the wolf center was a great experience. My boyfriend and I were lucky to have all the wolves spend time around the one-way windows. We were able to talk and take photos while the staff member answered in depth questions about the wolves history, diet, genealogy, etc. The staff was also very good about trying to maintain everyone's social distancing within the smaller areas. The first room has many very interesting artifacts and information on wolves, other animals that enjoy the same habitat, and the locations in which the different types of wolves live currently and lived historically. So much fun! A really good activity to enjoy with the family. Very reasonably priced. It's actually surprising that it doesn't cost more for the support of the animals.
