My daughter loved the petting zoo. A great place for the little ones to explore and see animals. The weather was pretty cloudy most of the day but we made the best of it. The park is well kept and the staff are friendly. The cost has seen a raise since past years but due to limited capacity and being closed during the pandemic, we feel its understandable.

Very well maintained. The line at the ticket counter was long and we had to wait for almost 20 mins in the cold, however once we got it, we warmed up at the fire pits before we proceeded to view the animals. Good experience, my son enjoyed it

This is by far the best zoo I have been in Québec. The place is huge and beautiful! Everything is well thought from the design of the paths, the location of food facilities (several options/standar price), rest areas, etc. The variety of animals is perfect. You will find all kinds of exotic well taken-care species. Kids and adults can also enjoy the water park (in summer) and the amusement park. My advise is to get early and be prepared to walk a lot. This is the only zoo where I saw you can lend wheelchairs and trolleys to carry your belongings around or even your kids. Definitely a very nice outing with family and/or friends.

Visit the Grandby zoo located in Quebec for a fun day with friends and family. Lots of animals and funfair. Try visit earlier in the day to see the cats active. Make sure to go with your food, though there are lots of restaurants, I wasn’t very impressed with the quality of food sold.. Not a great place to visit. Very confusing, hard to know what animals you are looking at since there is only 1 card identifying the animal and it is often on the other side of the park. The water games and kiddy pool were disgusting. Only good point was that you can pretty much feed any animal at the zoo, which was fun to do. Other than that, not good value for your money.

Ensuite, comme il est beaucoup mentionné, les cages sont trop petites, trop peuplées (ou pas assez: ou bien il y a cinq pygargues dans une minuscules cages, ou bien c'est un loup seul qui fait des allers - retour non-stop sur 3 mètres???? Il y a 2 ans, ce même loup était tout nouveau, tout joyeux et on aurait dit un chien domestique, maintenant ce n'est plus qu'un animal au bord de la folie!). Les enclos sont peu adapté (pas d'ombres pour les gros félins! ) et souvent sans herbes, simplement de la boue un peu partout et du sable. Les tuyaux pour envoyer la nourriture des animaux sont bouchés et il est donc inutiles de dépenser autant pour un petit sacs de minouches. Les animaux ont peu ou pas d'eau, les clôtures semblent sur le point de tomber en ruines, il n'y a aucune animation (par exemple, au zoo de Granby, il est possible de voir lorsque certains animaux se font nourrir) et, honnêtement, aucun employé n'est visible hors du casse-croute (n'allez pas manger là, d'ailleurs, tous goûte la vieille huile et est bien trop cher et cela prends quinze minutes pour se faire donner un plat), je n'ai vu que la dame qui promenait le bébé lion, qui semblait plutôt chercher de l'ombre que les milles et une personnes qui lui donnaient des flatouilles. De plus, les animaux sont cadavérique, en très mauvaise santé. En plus de voir cohabité deux chevaux et un dromadaire (??? C'est deux genre de bêtes n'ont pas les mêmes besoins), j'ai pas voir que les cheveux avaient les ongles si long qu'ils étaient cassé en deux et retournaient à l'envers. De plus, il y a deux ans, lorsque j'ai essayé le petit train (cinq minutes pour faire un tour de lac, je l'aurais fait trois fois à pieds pour le même temps), le dernier wagon a glissé hors du chemin si bien qu'il avait deux roues dans le vide au dessus du lac. D'ailleurs, le pauvre employé qui le conduit doit bien être sur le point de devenir complètement fou à force de faire durant des heures le même parcours de même pas un quart de kilomètre à la vitesse d'une tortue sans pattes. Personnellement, par contre, je n'ai pas remarqué si les modules pour enfants étaient dangereux pour ceux-ci. Certes ils étaient vieux, mais cela n'implique pas nécessairement un danger imminent. Bref, un endroit à éviter si vous n'avez qu'un once de compassion et d'amour envers les bêtes! Je ne sais pas s'il est possible d'envoyé une association pour la protection des animaux afin de sauver ceux-ci, mais si oui, il faudrait le faire au plus vite!

Nice little regional zoo, prices are reasonable for the variety of animals on display. Installation are a little older but seems like maintenance is trying to catch up. Animals seem cared for except for llamas that had overgrown toe nails which were twisted. But that's just a personal opinion as I have no education in animal care. They are also small water game and pool for kids to cool off. Nice area to lunch with the pick-nick tables.

Cela ne vaut pas le.coup de faire un déplacement de plus de 2h pour y aller. Si vous êtes au camping à côté ou vivez proche du zoo pourquoi pas ? Cela reste une.place agréable pour une balade et un pique nique. Il y a encore place à amélioration et nous y retournerons sans doute l'année prochaine pour voir les changements apportés.

Always a wonderful visit no matter the season. It's a new experience each time with discoveries to be had. The day was cooler so the animals were more active than hot summer days. Grounds are clean and all covid measures in place including directional signs to follow which means no just walking around against the crowd. Staff are masked and always have friendly Allô ready for guests. A joy to watch the snow leopards eating and the Macaques running around. The hippo enclosure was a delight to see the three hippos above and below water. And who knew that lemurs could howl?!?!? A day never seems enough to see and hear it all!

Africa, Asisa, South America, Australia.. Took around 2.5 to hours to explore.. There are cafes and restaurants in plenty..7D theatre and mono rail are good attractions, these 2 attractions are not included in the zoo tickets. Walk after dark was cool. Tour is in French only. Guide was nice and bubbly, speaks quickly but there was a lot of information to get through. While the groups are smaller than anything you'd find during the day, I did still feel it was a bit crowded at some stops. Large variety of animals that all looks healthy and happy. We had a lot of fun even if some areas were closed because of the pandemic. I believe all indoors space asked to have our mask on and we had to always be 2 meters apart from other individuals or groups. The number of people in the Zoo was also lowered for precautions and because of such it was less crowded than usual. This place is amazing. We wish we had gotten their earlier so we could have done absolutely EVERYTHING! We had out toddler with us and there were so many play structures for her to enjoy; some a little too old for her.. but she tried anyway. Everything for everyone! The animal exhibits were great, they felt so close you could almost touch the giraffes, and elephants etc. They even had a petting zoo, great for actual animal contact. Les singes et corbeau avaient de petit enclos au point que le corbeau ne pouvait voler à sa guise. Bref c était que des petit enclos pour la majorité des bêtes sauf les cerfvider. Et dans les enclos il y avait un très petit bac en métal rouiller qui contenait de l eau sale et visqueuse. Plus que je parcourait le parcourt la tristesse et la colère m'habitait. Je suis une grande fan des animaux de tout espèces et je me dois de vous partagez cette décevante expérience. Et les seul personnes que j ai vue s occuper du zoo était juste pour vider les poubelles à l'heur de fermeture. Donc ce zoo es la que pour les profits et non par Amour des animaux. Donc avec politesse j appréciait que vous éviter d aller encourager cet endroit. I don't know how this zoo can be rated 4 star. It's one of the worst zoo I've ever visited. Tickets are not cheap considering how remote this place is. And apparently the money doesn't go to animals' welfare. The cages are so small. Sometimes there's not even any tree or grass, just dirt and rock, for the animals that don't come from desert. Yes you can feed the animals if you spend a few extra bucks to buy their food. But I don't think the food is good for carnivores. The animals looked so sad. Saw a tiger circling around in his cage which is a sign of mental disorder. Another big cat slept next to a piece of stale, halfly dried meat with dozens of flies flying on it. A fox lived in a cage no bigger than a chicken house. A big owl perched in a cage where he can't spread his wings.I regetted so much for bringing my kids there. I strongly suggest not to support this kind of place.

Every year, we visits Granby Zoo because my kids (now 5 & 7) loves it. Although they knew all the animals, they still amazed everytime they see them. My kids also loved the mini-play area that was located in different area. There were a lot of hand sanitizer scattered in all places & encouraged hand washing. Mask is mandatory in enclosed area. Staff were helpful& courteous. Always buys tickets online because of limited capacity. This year we arrived at 11AM, no lines up in everything. But after 3PM there's a line up in accessing in children's pool, restaurant and rides. The only complaint is it's getting pricey now.

First time visiting, and it was fantastic. Smaller crowd, so not much of a line up for any of the water attractions. Wave pools were great, and the lazy river was very fun. Kids loved seeing the animals, but when the animal was in one spot, it turned into a bit of the Hunger Games trying to jockey into position to see. Being able to pack a picnic and reserve a spot with your cooler and towels was perfect, but there were plenty of options to buy food, which we will do on the second day. Another treat was the amusement park for the kids. There are a few rides you need to pay for, but the majority are free. All in all, a really nice place to visit.

Where to begin. There is all that is needed for young children to have fun : park, "train" ride, water park, animals. But. But the train is pulled by an old truck. The fumes were terrible. The land is not well kept and it's hard with a stroller. Yet the animals are spread on the land. Speaking not animals, the cages didn't seem well maintained and although there is a nice variety, we have seen better. The swim area is fine in itself except that the water is really murky and probably not filtered. And the rides scared me... I didn't want to let my son in them. It's a shame cause it's the only one in the area but I really don't recommend it.
