This Zoo corresponds to the category of Zoo.
Familly place to let kids enjoy and discover all the kinds of atrcarions the zoo is offering, will be back
Love the water park .zoo was good .need more option for food court .swings every thing was unlimited Bec of full payments .full whole day entertainment .
A great place to go! It was our first time After being to zoo's around the world, this one was pretty good. Just wish the lepords had a bigger inclosure. Water park was so much fun! Will definitely be going back but will wear better shoes :)
Amazing experience with all my family ,bring your food and your swimsuit but no alcool.love it because animals have an open area for their living. A little pricey but it is worth every penny.
Had a blast, just wish the Dino Park had some that actually walked around not all static.
You can easily spend a whole day here. Started off with walking around the zoo in the morning until early afternoon, then headed to the water park to escape the heat. There’s a lot of exhibits, and some of them are interactive. Fun for the whole family!
The animals look health and well cared for. The exhibits are clean and easy to navigate. Vast amount of parking.
A great spot to spend an afternoon or full day. Lots of activities for the little ones, beautifully landscaped. I enjoyed the different feel of each continent.
I simply adore this park! It's big, a lot of attractions, the animals look like they are happy, and fine, the place is very clean! We want with my kid and my baby, a wonderful day!
Very crowded, no employees controlling distancing ,NOBODY DISINFECTING NOTHING. No distancing, no masks everyone that visits does what ever the want ,THEY DO NOT EMPLOYMENT SANITARY SERVICES AT ALL. Womens wash room DISCUSTING ,told an employee I found checking TICKETS at the entrance THE ONLY EMPLOYEE I SAW ALL DAY. And all he did was SHRUG.
Nice place to visit with kids. Very clean with a lot of bathroom access and services (food, ice creams, water...) …
Best time ever. I went with my fiancé during winter and it's was amazing. Most animals are there and you can get front row seats to all the feeding and expositions. Prefer by far coming during winter then fighting crowds of people during summer. Just remember to dress warmly. I will be coming back often
Wow such a great place it was a blast going in only one day through the African jungle and after that to the through the south American rain forest and from there we kept on going through the ocean we passed by Australia with kangaroos (the baby went in and out of its mothers pouch ) on our way to the Asian desert we also encountered some Chinese monkeys and then we went home
Excellent place to go with family, staff on site in the park is not the more smiley but those in the services like food or safety are
What an incredible place. Really fun and interactive zoo. Never have I been so up close and personal with the animals. Loved every moment of it and can’t wait to go back.
Well maintain however not much controlling of distances between people. lots of people.overall nice experience
A great weekend destination, should be organized better to avoid queues activities e.g. 7D cinema, train ride.
I was there with my family on Monday (July 23, 2018) and we loved it! My 3 year old had a blast seeing the animals. She was a little scared of the errupting volcano at the water park but then overcame it. I would definitely recommend this place.
Had a blast !! go during the week so its not too crowded !!! :D
Nice park, a lot of animals, but a bit expensive. You also need to pay separately for the water park and the roller coasters (roller coasters recommend only get the pass if you have a kid under 8)
Great place to visit with the whole family. We had great time coming to this zoo. Animals and displays are really easy to walk to (everything is close by) and are very well decorated. Kids loved it.
It's okay for kids but not for adults who also enjoy learning about the animals and seeing them. Animals, for the ones that are visible seem very low energy (yes I know some of these sleep for most of the day in their natural habitat) and unhappy. Glass to protect us from these beautiful wild beasts are always too dirty and granted, not necessarily the zoo's fault. PARENTS: Is there really a need to touch the glass? Will it make you or your kids see the animals better. Please educate your children better and ZOO: advise guests of the park not to touch and dirty the glass for the next guests so it doesn't affect their experience in a negative way. Now on a positive note, parking is great, indications inside the park are good.
Great family outing. Kids enjoyed seeing the wild animals from Africa, South America, Asia... Hand sanitizers everywhere, masks are mandatory indoor. But unfortunately live shows with animals were not available due to COVID-19. We have spent an amazing day there.
Fun experience! Can get up close to the animals and the park offers a large array of kid-friendly activities. The waterpark is a nice additional tough as well. My only critique would be the underwhelming Oceania section; took no more than 10 minutes to complete.
Best place to bring your kids! So much to do, and if it gets too hot, there is a water park to cool you off! Kids especially loved the opportunity to feed the birds. I am glad there is no more feeding the goats/sheep. Last year I found those animals very aggressive, this year they were calm and safe.
Batcave - Dinosaurs - waterslides! Comon! Honestly however - it's SO clean. It doesn't smell like a zoo so people with allergies CAN visit. There are multiple entrances. You can enter the zoo directly or enter the water Park. If you stay until closing, it makes leaving a LOT easier. The food isn't bad and the pricing doesn't bankrupt tourists. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly throughout the day. Lockers are big enough for 2 back packs, 4 pairs of sneakers, 4 towels and you can still cram in a water bottle and sunscreen. ($5 for the day!) The people who work here, like doing so. NO ONE can be that pleasant and dislike their job. Their customer service is one of the best I've ever encountered. The first time we went, we encountered a little issue. I didn't contact them to complain. I contacted them to double check something so we could be better prepared next time. All I expected was information delivered to me in a pleasant manner. Because of the nature of the issue, a rare incident I'm sure, they were kind enough to invite us back and fix it for us. I didn't have to worry about anything. If you're planning a full family outing on a hot summer day, this is the place to do it. Zoo in the morning, Dinosuare park during lunch (less crowded) then hit the water park. The river ride is relaxing, the wave pool is shallow enough for the little ones to play, 3 water slides, a beach area... you're smiling already... and if you have little kids (3-7) there's a play area with mini water slides and activities just for them. You won't hear them ALL DAY and you WILL poop them out.
Great place. The kids had a lot of fun. What was really great was being able to cool off at the water park after all that walking. What would be great is to have more water fountains for drinking.
Great zoo. The first time I went there, I was with my family. We had an amazing time. Highly recommended the place. They have some great animals from all over the world
All the animals are very hard to see or find! They are sleeping far in a corner or something. The kids got bored. The water park was better... That's why I give it 2 stars instead of 1.
Ghost town, almost all the attractions were closed ???? I want a refund!!!
Kids had a blast despite the weather. Clean and lots of activities on site.
Nice zoo with many animals. Kids will love to discover and observe all the animals. For many animals there is a show guided by a zoo keeper. It has lots of picnic sites with tables and some food corners as well. There are also some fine park rides. Unfortunately, it closes early each day.
Love this Zoo. Animals have grand spaces to roam. Well done.
Here experience was really good, you get very close to animals, its small zoo but fun really. We enjoyed alot I have visited Toronto/Ontario zoo before it was huge lot of variety, but we get better experience here in Granby Zoo.
Nice place, nice improvement since couple years
Great experience. We saw every kind of animal you can imagine. Very clean environment and helpful staff. It takes about 7-8 hours to fully visit the zoo. The only drawback was that they didn’t have the animals of North America especially Canada.
Paradise
We went there last Sunday and on the site it didn’t said that we have to reserve our place for the zoo we know that the water park are online because of the COVID-19. So 2h driving to the zoo and we weren’t happy about what happened we said that we can wait until 2 people come out and we go in
Fun and cool waterpark. You need to arrive early to really enjoy the whole park.
Fantastic family zoo! So glad we visited from Ottawa. Stayed one night and visited zoo two days. With amusement park and water park one day is not enough. We did not even visit water park but still had a terrific time.
Loved it! It had been decades since my last visit.
My daughter loved the petting zoo. A great place for the little ones to explore and see animals. The weather was pretty cloudy most of the day but we made the best of it. The park is well kept and the staff are friendly. The cost has seen a raise since past years but due to limited capacity and being closed during the pandemic, we feel its understandable.
Ils a must. Kids love it.
Incredible place to visit with kids. There is a great zoo with animals from all over the world and it has a waterpark, amusement park and other amenities. It's 45 minutes drive from montreal, very convenient!
Awesome spot, clean and lots to see unfortunately due to covid lots of side activities were closed like camel riding but overall great experience!
Wow! Super clean, and one of the largest zoo's I've ever seen. The animal selection is diverse, and there are lots of fun activities for children to do too. The gift shops have cute items to buy, and the water park looked amazing. We are definitely going back.
We go to the Granby Zoo about every 2nd year. It never disappoints. You can not have a better animal experience anywhere plus Granby area itself is beautiful!
Very big, well maintained zoo. I am not a zoo person, and this was the first zoo I have been too. The kids really enjoyed the visit. I enjoyed most off the zoo except for the gorilla enclosure, as I felt sad for them.
The staff were great, the place was clean and very well organized. Was impressed right away by the way they handled guiding the cars in the parking lot. My kids had a great time, especially with the feeding of the rays and the waterpark. Would definitely consider going again someday.
I am not sure why the tiger was so under the weather! I hope not depressed!
When you realise you have depresson after seeing animals with it
Had an awesome day ! Going back for sure
Amazing place to visit with kids. Counting the days to visit during summer time. We visit during winter and there were lots of things to do and to see. Highly recommended.
We went in the winter and had a fun day with the kids. Only a few animals were not out and many others also have indoor enclosures. Can't wait to go back in the summer to see more and try the water park!
Come prepared with a cooler and get there early to find a spot in the shade by the pool and it makes for a great day out!
An insanely fun zoo/water-park with so many things to see and do. We go every year. The water park (especially the water slides) are so fun that you almost have to split your trip into two full days. I love seeing the hippopotamuses, meerkats, yaks, bats, kangaroos, axolotls, etc. But my most favorite by far are the gorillas. They treat their animals nicely and properly.
What a wonderful Zoo! You can spend a couple of days there! I highly recommend this place. Family friendly!
Was great! Highly recommend it!
A good place for family outing with zoo, water park and rides all at one place. All the attractions are conveniently placed very close to each other. Food court is good too and you can also bring in your lunch. Just arrive early to avoid searching for parking spots.
Awesome trip. I will certainly go back. It was a partly sunny day and hot so few animals took shelter in caves (I dont blame them). The zoo was extremely clean, no wierd animal feces smell.A lot of clean toilets available all over the zoo. Clean water fountains with filtered water. The Animals looked happy. Lot of food options and vending machines allover the zoo. There is a small water park and a small amusement park too. The only problem I would say is that the zoo keeper's animal info sessions are only in French. There are a lot of visitors from outside Quebec, or outside Canada for that matter. Atleast they should have few facts told in English too.
Quite big and good variety of animals. Prices are a bit high.
Had a great time with the kiddos ????????
This Zoo is pretty awesome for a family trip. There are a lot of different animals for the little ones to get excited about. We come here several times a year and always have new and exciting experiences.

Amazing place to enjoy a great day or weekend with your family, with your kids or with your friends. The place is really big, so be prepare for a long walk. Many things still closed because of Covid, but anyway the place is amazing! The better is the water zoo, after enjoying the zoo! Many attractions to enjoy in the water zoo. I've visited three times and still been a trip that can't be missed on summer. - A lot of picnics areas. - A lot of thing from kids. - Is allowed bring your own food and drink. - Is allowed take your Water cam or phone in the water zoo! - Locker for you personal items in the water zoo cots $5 and $10 for deposit that they reimburse you when you give them back the key.
Nice Zoo and family time
Spent the best day ever with my kid and her friends there. Make sure you make plans for your visit before arriving there or at the entry so you don't miss anything important. Also write down the times when the zookeepers are present so they give you important info about the animals and you actually see the animals in action. We were not lucky enough to see the lions and tigers awake and moving, they were sleeping but it was still OK.
Visiting the Granby zoo was a great experience, I recommend it for family, friends or couples fun. It was a bit crowded Saturday but everything went smooth and we really enjoyed ourselves. I recommend you bring or rent a trolly or something with wheels to carry your stuff on because you'd need to walk a lot if you're gonna visit the whole zoo.
Very nice Zoo, i like that the animals have enough room to walk. !! fun day trip
Love the animals. Cool off at the water park ????
It's a zoo. Seeing these magnificent animals in cages is heartbreaking. The winter (indoor) elephant pavilion hurt my heart. BUT. The facilities are very clean, and the animals look like they're well cared for. The snow covered grounds are breathtaking. The snow leopard (!) lounging in the snow was unreal. The staff are kind and generous. My kids loved it. I would come again.
Great experience!! A really nice place!
It's the 3rd year in a row that my family and I visits this Zoo. Even tho it was during the busiest day they had this year, we were able to visit everything and fully enjoy the experience. Don't forget to bring your bathing suit cause they have an amazing wave pool !! They also added a Dinosaur area! Definitely recommend this Zoo!
it was really good even during Covid19 they take care of the place animals and visitors! only thing was some animals were not there to see them like camel :(
Love it, kids too :)
Just ok ,too hot animals were hiding in shade ..expected more ..so many people at pool .surprised because of covid expected less.more then 5000 people .it's a lot
First time here since I was child, I really loved it especially the new dinosaur exhibit. There is a lot of activities for children and adults. I was very impressed by the water park, it was very clean and big. Would have given five stars except the employees handling the food in the cafeteria weren’t wearing gloves. Some people may not mind this but it doesn’t seem sanitary to me.
Well, we visited in winter. They sould probably have a discount for the winter as at least 1/3 of the animals are not shown... Also, they should remove the snow from the alley, this is ridiculous, it's a zoo, though for kids and families and you leave the snow as if our stroller was a SUV?! We counted 2 automatic doors only, once again, people with strollers! And finally, whenever there was a window to show an animal, there were 3 feet in the air....I had to carry my 3 year old almost all the time, even for the aquarium!!! Well, it was nice, but I won't come back and I won't recommend it
All went well, daughter had a blast. Someone needs to fix that braking on that lil train
I am not happy with the service I received. I had reserved for Saturday June 26, 2021, but the weather conditions changed and it was rainy all day long. Because of that I was not able to go and although I called the customer service of the zoo in order to re-schedule my visit they were not open to any service solution. I used to be proud of this zoo and I would have recommended to any other peopme, but not anymore. So dissappointed!
A full day plan required. Very nice place for a good family time, specifically for kids to explore.
Very well maintained. The line at the ticket counter was long and we had to wait for almost 20 mins in the cold, however once we got it, we warmed up at the fire pits before we proceeded to view the animals. Good experience, my son enjoyed it
This is by far the best zoo I have been in Québec. The place is huge and beautiful! Everything is well thought from the design of the paths, the location of food facilities (several options/standar price), rest areas, etc. The variety of animals is perfect. You will find all kinds of exotic well taken-care species. Kids and adults can also enjoy the water park (in summer) and the amusement park. My advise is to get early and be prepared to walk a lot. This is the only zoo where I saw you can lend wheelchairs and trolleys to carry your belongings around or even your kids. Definitely a very nice outing with family and/or friends.
Totally enjoyed the place with my kids.... had great fun... the camel ride was cherry on the cake.....
A great place to see animals from all around the world ! A lot of exhibits and attractions to keep us busy... Definitely a day's worth of activities ! That being said, the zoo is without a doubt a very busy place during the summer. Finding the perfect time without a crowd can be hard, but the overall experience is still worth the money and time !
Great fun!!! Clean, well organized, waiting nit too long, massive parking. Wheel chair accessible, kids between 5 and 15 have a blast at water park and amusement rides
This place is amazing ???? I love animals where ever they are but I feel sad for them , they are not free some of them they look so bored or lazy I guess from the same place or same routine and activities . Any how good place for family and kids to play and explore how the animals looks like not only reading that in guarderi .. Day is not enough to think having stay for a night would be amazing. There’s aqua parc and u can swim . Enjoy enjoy every one.
Amazing day with the family and kids. Went swimming in the Amazoo, brought our own picnic and saw so many beautiful animals. The zoo is very well kept and the animals are very active. The children absolutely loved it.
About 1:30 hours from MTL downtown. Enough free parkings. Went with family and friends and we had a great time here. Very well organised and maintained. Friendly staff. The park is huge with lots to do. The animals were okay though most were sleepy or drugged? IDK ... Anyways... the waterpark was amazing and fun. Lots of food options. Highly recommended family trip.
It's a beautiful place for all the family. Please respect the sanitary norms and social distancing.
Awesome zoo! Very clean and inviting. Plenty of well maintained areas with a host of different animals. Friendly staff throughout the park. The Amazoo water park area is a great place to cool off!! I highly recommend a visit. I plan to return and enjoy it again in the future.
Worst customer service ever! Don't buy tickets online!!!! Came with daughter and her friends and showed up at the gate and they ask for your credit card and id that the tickets were bought with. The kids obviously don't have their parents credit cards with them so we go to customer service they tell us too bad and force us to rebuy the tickets. Extra $$$ to spend out of nowhere and we lost an hour trying to sort it all out very disappointed. Also for any reimbursements for tickets you made online they only do it on a case by case basis and it can take a week to sort it all out. At least the water park is fun if you don't mind waiting in long lines.
Had a great time! It was crazy hot so we were all a bit short on tempers but we all had a great time! Second time going and petting the sting rays is still the best part for me. Water park was my favorite. Make sure you look out for the hidden section of the water park at the back of the kids splash pad. Food is nicely priced. Bathrooms cleaned constantly which is great. Animal are hit and miss. If it's too hot, they hide. Understandable of course. Lots of shade and natural landscape to enjoy.
Pretty cool out, most animals stayed inside but park is well maintained and thought out. Service is excellent. We missed the sign to see the elephants and giraffes just as you walk in due to tickets and two young kids so we turned in circles looking for their house. Map was good but again the house was ambiguous. Don't make our mistake, on the left as you walk in. Overall nice experience.
It was my first ever time going to a zoo, I like seeing animals, I love them. But seeing animals in a cage is not as fun as seeing them in the wild, thriving. Of course the animals don't look like they were or are mistreated but its just so much more magical to see them in the wild than in an enclosure. But for people who cannot travel and go see lions and whatnot, it is nice ????
Very nice to bring family
A bit pricy but the quality of the zoo is worth the ticket price! We could go from opening to closing and barely see everything they have to offer. Very new looking facilities, well maintained and clean. They let you bring food in which is very, very nice since we prefer a healthier diet. Lines are long at the entrance in the morning so best to get your ticket online.
My 5 years old boy’s favorite summer place. Water parks were clean and fun. Dino park was amazing.
We bought that ticket on the boxing day special for 10.99 and it was worth it. Kids really enjoyed their time we arrived at 11 am , easy to park it was sunny with 2' which is fair enough we did almost everything but we missed africa section will do it next time!
Haven't been to many zoos, but we had a blast here. It's a bit pricey, but worth the admission. Lots of species of animals on exhibit and they all seem well taken care of.
Love this zoo. It’s not like Toronto Zoo where you’ll spend half of your time on walking. Here is more like a museum, have so many different animals in a smaller area. I would spend 3 days here next time. Visit the animals in the morning, then go to the water park in the afternoon.
Great zoo. The first time I went there, I was with my family. We had an amazing time. Highly recommended the place. They have some great animals from all over the world
Visit the Grandby zoo located in Quebec for a fun day with friends and family. Lots of animals and funfair. Try visit earlier in the day to see the cats active. Make sure to go with your food, though there are lots of restaurants, I wasn’t very impressed with the quality of food sold.. I rated this zoo 4stars mainly because of the food.. don’t blame me, I like good food????
We had a fun family outing with a young child during the fall. We had allot of fun except that the train was defect and the people operating it had no idea or training on how to handle the situation. Also I wish there were more bathrooms and diaper tables for young children
Awesome place to visit. They need more seating during the trails that have longer walk times though. Also the food isn't good and way overpriced. The amazoo aqua park is amazing!
NIce and clean. Favorite animal was the gorilla. Limited capacity , easy parking near entrance.
It is a great place to spend with friends and family. We got a great group deal and arrived early to visit the whole park. Food was expensive so we brought our own food in a cooler. There are many areas seating areas in the park.
Went on a weekday and it was extremely crowded. Hard to enjoy any exhibit with strollers banging into my shins and people yelling at the animals to get their attention. Please stop overselling admissions.
Amazing place to see animals! Love it!
Was a fun day. It would be very awesome if the zoo and waterpark could be open later than 6 pm. The day went by to fast
Went for about 3 hours to see the zoo, great space to easily walk through. Many shops were closed presumably because of covid.
Excellent activities for kids even in this Covid times. Well organized for distancing and sanitary measures
Nice place, a lot of things to see... Very entertaining
10/10 lots to visit! great for families
This zoo is amazing! From the animals to dinasauers and the water park! My kids are 2 and 3 years old and they enjoyed every moment of being there.
Great zoo. Lots of animals in different sections, lots of educational material for each, lots of programs. There's a section with rides, including a roller coaster, and a full water park with slides, wave pools, and a lazy river. If you really want to enjoy each section to the fullest I'd really recommend more than a day since lines for the waterpark and rides can take a while. Super fun and reasonable rates for everything that is included.
The zoo is nice, but the food was very expensive and served cold. The burger is tasteless
It’s an incredible huge zoo I was extremely surprised when I figured out it has a zoo that big in a city like that wow incredible 100% recommended and it even has a bunch of other stuff like a waterpark, amusement park, and food.
A very morbid feel, along with caged animals... I wouldn't recommend it during these times for kids
Great, amazing place for view
Nice, mature zoo with lots to see and do
Well organized during covid. Lines are short. Only issue is the animals are mostly resting/sleeping. Also we were disappointed that the rays were not viewable.
My daughter 2 years old was amazed to see the real animals from her favorite movie The Lion King . Can't wait to go back to the amusement parc, aquatic center and zoo .
Amazing parc, well maintained. Nice to go whenever you want, all seasons are to visit! A definite, especially if you have kids!
Really nice place to go with your family!
The Zoo was lovely! It was a hot day, most of the animals were hiding in the shade, but still there to view and learn from. Water fountains are plentiful for your meandering! Many Zookeepers presentations (and signs) are bilingual, and the waterpark has several fun stations for all ages. The dinosaur exhibit was cool! Interactive, and featured many dinosaurs unique to Canada!
Great selection! Red pandas are one of the cutest animal you can see in here. Did you know that the internet browser Firefox's mascot is not a fox but a red panda!
So good we go every year, clean, lots to see make sure you book several days, zoo, amusement park and water park make for a week of fun!
Had an amazing day, if you are planning on going there for the first time you really need to be aware of their scheduel ; meal time so you can get the most of it! I bought the parking ticket online made it easier and closer to the door. With a baby its a must
Great place for fun.
I have been to Granby zoo so many times ,I enjoy it so much because there is so much to do. One thing i do suggest is the mantaray pool is a little small and the mantarays cant do much. But aside from that most animals look comfortable and not all distressed. But on the plus side the water park is fantastic kids will love it. I went with my cousins and we kept going on so many of rides and places. Overall really nice place , just some animal regulations are in need to be made.
Greate place however expensive, 140 for two adults and 2 kids is a bit too much, especially when it does not include the water park
More than just a zoo. You need at least 2 days to get around. Great water park too. Excellent way to spend time with family.
Adventure. Amazement. A must-see family venue that will excite, educate and take learning - a hands-on and visual experience - to a new level. Stay safe!
Very big zoo with so many animals to see and lots of fun rides for children in amusement park
Parts of it are in desperate need of an overhaul, but the Africa section was just amazing. Definitely made the trip worth it for that.
Awesome experience for kids and families. The Zoo is great, animals in good shape and in great looking environment. A few must-see shows during the day so pay attention to the schedule. On top of that there's a water park with waves pool, 3 slides and plenty of water attractions to stay cool in hot days. Recommended one day per park because it's big!
best experience for my kid. the place is big and has a lot of amenities. your family can go watch animals and fishes or go to the pool and splash. friendly and lively staff
This zoo is very nice, very clean and very fun to be at. But... I really feel that the animals at this zoo do not have enough space, yes the enclosures are well kept and relatively clean, but the animals can barely move around. I got a really sickening feeling from the sight of how small these so called "environments" were that it unfortunately ruined the trip for me. They really made this zoo so that the animals can always be seen, they have no privacy during the day at all, which can be overwhelming. This zoo would've deserved five stars had it not been for not so good living conditions.
one of the best zoo in canada .....lots of herbivorous carnivorous platform birds washroom entry tickets wheel chair assistant gift shop food courts sitting area car commute parking fee applicable \dont miss it \enjoy with kids
Zoo was great. Lots of amazing animals. But DO NOT EAT at le marché. The food is horrible and cold. Customer service was Atrocious. Very rude and not helpful. Very dissatisfied. Wait 40 min for food and then you get food that has been sitting under a warm light for hours.
Awesome place for the hole family and friends
Had a phantastic day! This zoo is so very well done, like a walk around the world. Loved every minute!
We had such a great day! It was suppose to rain so the place was empty(ish). We saw so many animals and they looked happy and well cared for. They rented cart which turned out to be very convenient. We even had a beer, fun for everyone!
Overall it was an amazing experience for the kids. We were not able to to view the elephants because the site closing. For sure we will havr to return fo summer version of the zoo
Lots shaded areas and everything is well thought of. Animals are great and water park is perfect for young kids and families.
I personally like this zoo but this year with covid they change the policy so I could not even change the date of visit when the weather is really bad with heavy rain. This is terrible policy when bring kids. I understand that they try to limit the capacity but really hoped that they make some adjustment to this policy when it is weather related exchange of visit date. I am a bit upset.
Nice place to visit for a whole day with the kids. Kids were so happy!
Always amazing time in this zoo! It is the perfect combination of everything. It is crowded but that is why better to arrive early. Also, people make the big line to enter in the main parking but there is parking available near by that will save you some time.
You will definitely have a nice family experience visiting this park but very pricy for what you get. The amusement park is outdated.
My favorite animal was the snow leopard and her baby, I'm so happy they had snow leopards.
So many things to see & do. You need 2 full days to really experience your first time. Staff is polite, happy to answer any questions. Amazoo waterpark has been upgraded since my last time 3 years ago. With slides, bubble bath & more little things, here & there???? At the zoo part, feeding birds????, touching the stingrays 2$ is just pure fun for me. DINOZOO is a great new addition with different species, interactive moving parts & sounds in a real setting.
It was crowded because it's summertime.
Great layout of Zoo, and Waterparks. Fave thing to do was lazy river, but very expensive!
william dubuc is the best at making queue de castor!!
Very nice Zoo, i like that the animals have enough room to walk. !! fun day trip
Great experience Even after the fact that it started to thunder storm We went for a couple of hours Probably you need a good 6 hours to see the whole park and take your time The park even has dinosaurs Great way to spark childrens minds There is even a water park section Bring your food and picnic around if you like Have a great day
Great place to bring your children during summer. A lot more activities years after years! One day isn't enough to enjoy everything.. Take the 2 days package and rent a nice little room nearby. There's a lot of great hotels, motels and even camping lots in the area.
Very weak zoo. I saw almost no animals, except goats and horses. The food was horrible, only low grade fast food. Parrots was the only good thing, even if they doesn't looks very healthy.
Good but food is expensive but it good
This is a really nice zoo, they seem to continually invest in new activities. The zoo area is really large with lots of animals to see. Some animals do seem lonely in their cages but most are free to roam around in fairly large areas and some you can walk around freely in. The new dinasaur area is really impressive and your admission includes entry to the water park and some of the amusement park rides (3 require extra payments). The water park is not great but with no addition charge there is little to complain about. Well worth a visit.
Great experience. We went for 2 days which we found beneficial. Day 1 we saw everything, day 2 we went back to see what we were really interested in. My 5yr old is already talking about going again next summer.
Nice place to visit with your family and friends, its great and wonderful experience
Took our 2 year old to the winter zoo. There was a lot to see and it wasn't too busy. The big cats and lowland gorillas were incredible to see up close. The poor bored elephant in a cement pit was slightly depressing, but everything was clean and well looked after. The loss of stars is attributed to the large price compared to closed exhibits, and the depressing elephant and giraffe enclosures. Overall a good and entertaining day!
Not many animals, there are only 1-2 animals for each kinds. Disappointed
Amaze place for kids and families
Omg! I loooooove Granby Zoo. Everyone who works there is amazing. The animals are amazing. Even with Covid they are going above and beyond to keep it sanitized and safe. Halloween there is amazing ???????????? Everyone should go ????
Love the water park .zoo was good .need more option for food court .swings every thing was unlimited Bec of full payments .full whole day entertainment .
Very superb zoo! Employees are very helpful and know well the animals. The decor it perfect! Very nice activity to do with children. Animal are well treated. All you need is there for a day. Plus there a Waterpark to cool down and the end of the tour to see wildlife!
Great zoo for kids and parents! Well designed, clean, nice mix of animals from continents around the world. The Amazoo water park is a nice addition also. Can't do everything in one day but that doesn't necessarily mean you need 2 days there - - pick and choose what you care for and leave the rest for another visit. Highlights for my kids were the elephants, giraffes, kangourous and the above all the water park (go figure).
Very good for a family visit
Nice place, lots of fun, not possible to handle in 1 day
Amazing! I don't like having animals caged, and I still firmly believe that this is possible, but even without the animals it's a great experience. You have a water park, a zoo and an amusement park, all in one. You can bring your own food, snacks, chairs, etc. The only issue you will have is, not having enough time to enjoy the entire place
Aug 30 unfortunately closed water park and rides and stores mostly closed. Hard to explain to kids especially when you come from far away to see this place. However the rest was fun.
Very good place for whole-day family trip. We went there many times, recently in summer. I recommend summer time even if the ticket is more expensive. In the spring there is no lions or other animals. Additionally, in summer water park and amusement park are open. Most of the attractions are included in the price of the ticket. There are two train rides going around the zoo parts. There are lots of toilets inside the park and places to rest and have a snack. I don't recommend food there. You can't find much choices. It's better to bring your own meals. At the entrance you can rent carts to carry coolers and children.
Very fun and awesome place because it is an amusement park, zoo and water park. My favorite part is the water park because there is so many things to do! I really recommend this place!
Beautiful zoo. Visit in the morning before noon. Animals are fed and they'll have a noon nap and will be sleepingbif you visit in the afternoon.
The place is extremely well maintained. They are really worried about the animals health and environment. The aquarium and parrot cage are also interesting. It's really good to go frequently to enjoy and support the great job that they are doing.
Good service, amazing water park. They did well for the design of the cages. I kinda feel sad for a few animals that are jailed for their whole life. Especially a gorilla was hiding its face and looked really sad and depressed. People nearby were taking shamelessly selfies and tocked on the glass to make it move. At least they are getting nice pics for Instagram I guess.. Another issue is I paid almost $150 for family. This is very expensive for me, and prevents me to go there often. Would love to be able to come 3 times during the summer. I still put 4 stars despite all this, because the waterpark is awesome, had a lot of fun with kids, you can chill there and forget all about your worries and go wild.
Amazing place. The waterpark is soo great for all ages.
Too many spot for people to smoke, its gross. this is a family place if they want to smoke they should have 1 place away from the animals and the amazoo. Saw one guy smoking in a no smoking zone close to the japanese monkeys, no respect for the rules. Other than that amazing day, the elephants were super close and a lot of fun at the amazoo.
So much fun! Paths are wide and easy to get around in a wheelchair/with a stroller. Animals look well maintained and zoo was clean. Food and play area was well placed.
Always a good time with the family. It's clean and well organized.
Perfect place in Granby for kids and families, Accuarium is amazing feeding the Stingrays. Take a ride in the train and visit the Australian zoo
Very crowded and they are not following covid measures. No social distancing and no one is wearing masks even their staff. All the sanitizer stations are empty and they don't sanitize tubes between uses. It was a very bad experience for our family.
Bring your own food. The zoo is amazing, we absolutely loved it. But the food was almost inedible, it was extremely dry and stale.
Very fun experience and well managed
Had a lot fun at the waterslides and pools. No time to see the animals.????
We’ve been going once or twice a year since 2018 and my whole EXTENDED family just love it more than any zoo in any other country!
Amazing place to see animals! Love it!
We had a blast at the zoo and water park. I just wish the animals were awake. Lol
Winter zoo is less nice than regular zoo. Less animal were available, obviously. Didn’t like the cold treatment of Australian animal. Poor wallabies were clearly freezing. They are not built for that. Would not go again in winter.
Outrageously expensive for one day, that being said, my dinosaur loving toddler LOVED the dinos. The few included rides were a nice thing too. We will go back, maybe get season tickets next time which are only $20 more.
By this time there was few zones in construction - However the rest of the zoo was amazing. Natural environment
Loved it! Such an amazing zoo with an emphasis on conservation. Bring snacks and lots of water, there's tons of walking. The tiger presentation was unbelievable, these animals are so beautiful. Be sure to get there by 9:30, the line ups can be very long.
Great Zoo to bring the kids (and adult children). Well layed out and maintained. Animals are cared for and staff is friendly and informative.
if you like waiting in lines then the granby zoo is the place for you. long line up for food (1/2 hour) because all but 1 restaurant were closed. same thing for other snacks like ice cream and beaver tails. make sure to pack a lunch and snacks for the kids. would be a much much more positive experience. other than that decent exhibits, reasonable selection of animals. for the cost of entry you think they would have knowledgeable staff around to make the day a bit more educational. pretty much just look at the animals. could be so much more with just a little effort.
Great place for families. It's really geared towards a family experience. You can bring your own from of and drinks for a picnic. The waterpark is a great add on for those hot sunny days.
Super fun for families. Prices were reasonable. Very clean, animals have a lot of space and look well cared for. We loved the lazy river. Only downfall was some sections were closed for construction.
Nothing wrong with the place, just wasn't WOW, but animals are cute, they seem ok for captive animals, and they had red pandas sooooooo
My wife and I make a point of visiting the Granby Zoo at least every two years. We should have been there last year but something came up and were unable to go. We did visit this year and I must say that Ihave never been more disappointed. It started with the ticket booths where there were maybe 100 families waiting in line. Only two booths were open.. It took almost 1 hour to get in. Once inside, there was no personal available for assistance. Construction closed off certain areas of the zoo... The Line ups at the resturant were unrealistic... After long waits for your food, you needed to get back in line (along with all the other food court services) to pay and then there was only 1 cashier!!!! That has to be the most ridiculios setup I have ever seen.... I used to enjoy my visits to the Granby zoo but truth be told, It will be a long time before I plan another trip there.
Granby zoo is constantly looking for ways to upgrade and keep people coming back. The dinozoo was phenomenal. My boys were thrilled with this new feature!!
My first time to this zoo and totally loved it, great place for families, lots of tables outside so you can bring your food and cooler. One day is not enough
Awesome zoo, was there with our 2 and 4 year old. Saw only about half the zoo but visited the water park in the afternoon which is included in the ticket price.
Wonderful zoo and water park. Well worth the money. We will be back.
The "money grab" zoo! I have two small children (5 and 7 at the time of the visit). Found the entrance fee a bit pricey, but thought it would be worth it for a family outing. Once inside - noticed there was no way of bypassing the myriad of concessions and gift shops to get to the animals. Not 2 mins. in and the kids want to get toys!!! Great for the zoo, not so much for me... Finally get to the animals: not really memorable. But, wait - what is that catching my kids' attention? An amusement park... But, you must purchase a separate admission to ride the rides... There goes another bunch of money... But, you gotta remember that the games of chance and arcade are not included... Lunch was a fair deal, considering where we were, and the food was served sorta quickly. Kids see the pony ride - not included in the price of admission, or the purchased ride bracelet... more $$$... Want to feed the animals at the petting zoo? $$$.... Camel ride? $$$ I could go on, but you get the idea. THE KIDS HAD A GREAT TIME. My wife and I enjoyed giving them this day of amusement. My credit card is still feeling a little chafed from the whole ordeal, that day! All in all - a great day for the kids. Just be aware going in... Most of your money won't get back out.
Too much for one day. Always a fantastic day.
A really well done zoo! Informative panels and guides, and healthy animals. The Zoo is a good partner with a number of conservation organizations, so they are part of a bigger global mission to save nature. Fun interactive displays make it fun for the family. Pack a picnic lunch if you want to save money. The restaurants aren't cheap but the food is good. The ticket for the day also gets you into the Amazoo waterpark next door, which is also fun for families
Some exhibits were being renovated. Was a little disappointed. Staff was super courteous and informational. Not too many people as it was early in the season. Bring all the sunscreen and water that you can
The place is in great shape however around half of the animals were missing on my visit :( but definitely will be back with my family and give them another chance!
Love it, a must-visit.
Best place to have a birthday party of your kid!
Oh man, what an awesome place. Booked a 2 day lass for my wife, my 2 year old daughter and myself and we couldn't see it all in 2 days. The waterpark is awesome, truly awesome. The animals were fun, manta rays were pur favourites. The food is typical style attraction food but they do make an effort to add "healthy" eats and are sensitive to allergies, which is cool. This is going to become a yearly tradition for us. Can't recommend it enough, top notch family fun.
Amazing place to take the family! Lots of animals to see, amazing water park and fun rides. Great packages available with hotels close by for out of town visitors. Highly recommend!
Good place for Kids. We were only at Zoo. But the animal seems tired and unhappy!!!
The zoo is so beautiful with alot of funny animals. I came in the nice fresh weather and most of them sleepy but still super cute The Amazoo is small but still ok with a few games
Great time to go visit sinc ethey are running on lower maximum amount of people allowed and makes the day really enjoyable. Alot fo people with kids are not respecting Covid-19 safety rules tough, so watch out. Every installation has been setup to take into account those rules but are not forcefully put in place.
Great familly outing with half water theme park!
We just had the time to go through the Africa area and we loved it. We now have to come back to see the rest
Amazing! Over the years it has grown so much. I went there back in 2012..and I was amazed at how much. I returned this week in 2017, and I loved all the new attractions! Awesome. The park is very well maintained..so much attention to detail. The staff is friendly and they should be proud. I went last Tuesday, thinking it wouldn't be busy..but I was wrong. Parking was the only issue, we arrived there at 12, by then, all spots were taken (understandably) but I was able to find on side streets.
Lots of fun especially the water park
Great place for family to hang out. A plethora of species in almost its natural habitat. No traditional zoo cages unless it's for safety purposes. Plenty of spots to have a break while roaming between continents. NOTICE: in cold weather, bring plenty of water as fountains are not available. It's a small world after all.
Animals are kept in good conditions, only they were too tired from the hot weather. Easy to read map helps to get to any point. I had a great time!
There is something amazing about getting lost in the world of other species for a day. Everyone's experience is different in a way, but if you pay close attention, you can see the look in the eyes of those animals. It's like they know they are being watched and they act. Yet ... You should go. Don't wait till the end if the season because they hire students for the summer. Once they go back to school at the end of August, there is a shortage of personnel and long lineups for all services.
Good place, to see animal, but it's only open on the weekend. Love my visit. Probably will come back another time in the future
The waterpark is great. There's only 3 slides but they're fun and have a nice traffic light system to let you know when you can go. The wave pools are fun and well lifeguarded.
Great family fun
Wonderful place
It was a great day, weather help, not too hot so we saw lots of animals. At the end, the rides being mostly free was fun for the kids. Biggest "issue" is getting to the parking. Feel they should build 2 entrance so Amazoo and Zoo could help having twice the speed to come in. It opens at 10 but to get there with the traffic to get in require almost an extra hour.
We enjoyed it and the weather was okay after all but it needs more attractions at the rides for 9-12yo kids.
Ive been to this zoo with my daughter twice and both times it was a very enjoyable experience. Both the zoo and the amusement park are fun for young kids. There are some rides as well like a camel ride and a pony ride that my daughter really enjoyed. The dino zoo requires a special mention. We really enjoywd the life size robotic replicas some of them were quite real looking. The shows are in french however but you do get to see the animals clearly. You can rent wagons and strollers at the entrance if you dont want to bring one.
Amazing with lot of animals and a water park. Water park with a hot water shower is great. All the animals are happy and running around. We had a great day.
As a zoo its not bad. The animals and their exhibits are well designed and there is lots of animals to see and enjoy. I particularly liked the africa park. Lots of monkeys and the giraffe exhibit is really well done. That is where they succeed. Where they fail is everything else. The amusement park is an absolute joke and i can’t believe i have to pay extra to use it. The roller coaster was broken and the majority of the rides are from the 80s and it feels run down and worse than a travelling carnival. Its no wonder they show very few pics of it on their website because its hard to photograph garbage which is what it is. The other thing that i really didn’t appreciate was the constant cash grab by them. Pay $2 dollars to feed an animal, pay this to do something else. It felt like everywhere i looked i had to pay extra for something. It really ruins the visit and feels desperate. Finally the food quality is pretty terrible. Not something to be surprised about when kids are cooking and serving your food but they could have at least tried a little harder. The food is literally better at 7-11 over this place. So in short they need to rethink their approach and create an experience worth driving an hour from Montreal for because honestly its not worth your time or money.
It was so packed, on Canada's day, we parked far, but they gave us a discount on food because of that, we walked for almost 5 hours, and we were so tired to go to the water park, what i enjoyed the most is feeding the stingrays ♥️, there are so many restaurants there, choose carefully, i like the one next to the lions. Have fun, and have water with you.
Amazing place, food it is pricey but it's something that we don't do often and always you can bring your own food and drinks. The place have amusement park for young kids as well some rides for adults that you can enjoy, alot animals in the zoo, swimming pools, I recommend not to go during construction weeks, because the place is overcrowded, I recommend during week day is the best, you never have to wait too long for rides.
so many people, but everything is good
I went to the zoo today and not even an hour after arriving it started raining.. we asked if it was possible to get a postpone entrance because we didn’t get to enjoy it. And they said no. Horrible customer service. Geez people, thats the least you can do if you can’t refund. ???? What is up with that? I understand you can’t predict the weather but clearly its a huge part if how people enjoy your park and get they money’s worth .. the least you can do is work with your customers. Horrible experience.
Very nice, clean, family oriented, and 3-in-1 attraction. It has Zoo, Theme, and Aqua park. There is no water slides in the aquapark. Only 2 wave pools, kids water area, and lazy river. The African zoo area is good. The Asian zoo area has a farm for kids to play and touch farm animals. The theme park is more suitable for kids except the anaconda ridw (not included in ticket but $3 only).
It's a good place to go with children. You can feed many animals directly. You can also ride rides. I recommend going here at night. And at night, you can see a new sight that you couldn't see during the day.It was so fantastic.
My daughter wanted to give 100000 stars, so with 5 being the max it's five stars for me, kids absolutely loved it, clean site, great staff. Excellent place to spend the day with the family!!
Great place to entertain your kids
Perfect place to go with children. Lots of activities. Bring some change if you intend to interact with the goats and sheep. The stingrays can be fed with a card though. There's also a big water park during summer with awesome activities. Fun for the whole family. :)
Great job! The kids (and us!) had a great time, even with the current covid situation. They are very well organized!
Very nice place. Went there with our 8-week-old and loved it (he - of course - slept through most of it). Everything is very clean on the people side. They have a 'halte bébé' where you can (breast)feed your little monkey. As for the animals: they seem very well taken care of. I usually pity the animals in a zoo for being in way too small enclosures and therefore looking miserable, but not so much here in this zoo. We had to park in the additional parking around the corner, so we had to walk for a bit, but since the weather was nice, we didn't mind. Since we arrived at 2pm, we got a discount of 30%, but we gladly would have payed full price. We had a great afternoon here! We'll be back!
They have a huge collection of animals! The best part for my 1.5 years ild daughter was mini-farm where kids can play with goats and touch them. Also they have a very good waterpark. To see all animals and play in the waterpark you will need to spend a whole day.
Iconic zoo full of animals from all continents and with enough additional entertainment. The water park is simply a whole thing in itself, promising fun for the family in hot summer days.
Great time! We arrived late and spent 3 hours there. It was great! I recommend a 4 hour stay, three hours was very rushed.
There a lot of amazing creatures there but you cannot see all of them. It needs one day from morning to night to visit there.
Great zoo, designed well, lots of animals.
Was very hard to find parking. Insanely busy, paid such a high entree fee and didn’t include any of the rides. The reason we visited was because it was an all in one trip. Not worth the price We walked and walked and barely saw any animals. Very disappointing. Water park was so crazy busy that the line ups took very long Staff was nice tho, but under staffed.
Best place for the family! There is so much fun stuff to do that it definitely takes more than one day to to do everything! Kids never get bored. Price is very reasonable. Parking is easy, but come early! If you get there at 9h30 (opens at 10), you can be parked not so far from the site and it's easy to go get stuff or food in the car during the day. Employees are motivated and fun. The zoo is very interesting. Kids and adults love it. A lot to see and learn. But it's a lot of walking! Be prepared if you have young kids. You can rent trolleys. The Dinozoo is one favourite with the real size animatronic dinosaurs. Even as an adult, it's amazing to imagine these creatures when they were alive! What's perfect about this place is that when the weather is getting too hot, we move to the Amazoo (water park) and play in the various pools and water slides. Don't expect as many rides as in a "real" waterpark but there is way enough for a lot of fun! Two wave pools, many other pools with stuff for the kids, water park for the youngest with games and slides, 3 big slides for adults (48" and taller) and the river, so nice and relaxing! There is also a fair with a small roller coaster (extra $) and the boat ($) and a lot of rides for the kids and places to play. Lots of restaurants but you can bring your lunch and eat it on site, which is great!
It’s a really big park. You Definitely need a whole day. The only problem is, u don’t see any exotic animals, such as lions, gorillas,etc... They r all hiding from the heat, or sleeping. Anyways , it’s an activity to do. Probably the only one worth your while in Quebec.
Taking okay precautions considering the situation. Packed in the morning, better by 1pm. Animals out and about, visible. The rides are also a fun addition, we did not visit the water park. Should have more bottle filling stations.
Amazing spot to spend the WHOLE day with the family! Between the zoo, the water park and the rides; you can burn through the day without noticing. Amazing how they allow for Picnic lunches too. All it's the place to hit!! Will be back in the near future.
Awesome place not only during summer but also during winter. Lots of animals. Perfect place for outdoor activity.
Nice place
Overall it was great! Oceania & Asia was awesome. The Dinosaur Park was amazing! The Africa park needs some work. Yes they are renovating the rhino exhibit so we didn't get to see them but the giraffes, zebras, elephants were so far away is was disappointing.
Great family fun rain or shine!
An amazing place to visit. I felt it's better to reach there by 10am, so that we can explore properly. Moreover, if we arrive early we can send more time in the waterpark as well.
With covid19, you need to buy tickets online ahead of your visit. They enforce mandatory wearing of mask in indoors area like toilet and aquarium so make sure you bring a mask. The staff is friendly and we had a good experience. Do not buy hotdogs because they are prepared in advance and they are cold and frankly for the price, it's a joke. The waterpark amazoo is very fun experience as well. 4/5 because good is not good quality for the price you pay.
Apart from seeing tigers, lions and cougars sleep all day. It was quite a nice experience.
Amazing zoo
Granby zoo has been the closest I managed to get to Lions and Tigers. Most places have atleast a trench that separates you from them, but here you can get real close if you are lucky.
Fun zoo for the whole family to enjoy! Food is a bit overpriced, so if you can, bring your own sandwiches so you don't end up paying $50 for two on pretty basic chicken.
We loved it. Very nice and complete. The animals looked close and everywhere there was gel and masks mandatory cartels.
Excellent and indeed a Gr8 experance
I'm not a zoo person but Grandy seems to me a good one. We saw what we can for and even had time to ate an icecream and do some attractions.
It was great, the kids love the day, it was nice to see the animals outside enjoying the ???? It was nice also, it wasn't to crowded because of the pandemic, just love it.
Adventure. Amazement. A must-see family venue that will excite, educate and take learning - a hands-on and visual experience - to a new level. Stay safe!
A fun place for everyone. We went on a saturday morning, it was really busy but buying our tickets online saved time. I would suggest getting there early the main parking lot was full and we needed to park in the 2nd one and take a shuttle bus. The shuttles were constantly running we never had to wait for one. The staff was great at loading people and stroller on. Even leaving the park there was no issues with the shuttle. It was a nice day so all the animals were out. We spent the morning walking around looking at the animals and went to the water park in the evening. It was much less crowded as everyone spent the afternoon in the water. We did not go to the amusement park area. My one complaint it the number of visitors who don't follow the rules. Please remember to smoke in the designated areas and do not feed the animals. It might be alot on the zoo but maybe the need to hire staff to walk around and enforce these rule.
Great for kids, a bit of a zoo though!
The water park is great.. do not expect too much out of the amusement park.. it's primarily for the kids. Zoo is well kept however most of animals were sleeping when we visited.. can't blame them .. lol
I wish there was more than one or two in each cage..(sometimes they are hidden behind a rock or something!)
It was fun but if you go during the last week of July or the first week of August expect it to be jam packed as it coincides with construction vacations (+/- 100 000 people on vacation). Although they do offer rental of baby carriages/wagons do not rely on it during this part of the season and bring your own.
I went to "Resto Marché" at granby zoo and ate at "la grill". The service was horrible, not only did the employee scream at me he denied me information on leaveong a review on the restaurant. I wanted to try my friends popcorn chicken before deciding to buy it myself, so i pulled my mask down for a split second to try it, and when i did the employee yelled at me to NEVER pull down my mask, even though i was trying a product and willing to pay. NEVER eat at "la grill" at granby zoo, disgusting behavior by the workers there.
I've been to a few zoos, and Granby is by far the best. It is very well set up and easy to navigate. The animals are easy to observe, giving you many vantage points to see them. There is also lots of play structures and other things to amuse the kids and or big kids like me along the way. It's my 4th time being there, and it always lots of fun.
Amazing zoo, lots to see and do! Great day for the kids! Train, food court, zoo, mini theme park and water park! Been during summer & winter! Loved both but prefer summer as there’s more to do!
It was new experience & first time we were going to Granby zoo. As we all aware because of the Pandemic some sections of the Zoo were closed; like: 7D Cinema, Kids entertainment park & some other indoor area which hopefully soon would be opened. We did not have any problem or difficulty there. We visited many areas which had animals from different parts of the world. There was 4 main parts which contained different animals from 4 continent of the world like Africa, South America, Asia & Australia and oceans! Also there are some other small areas like mini farm & also sky train like to have different view & experience.
Quality modern exhibits and animals looked clean and healthy! Definitely taking the kids back when the water park opens. Just one complaint, where is the herpetarium!?! I'd love to see one up there and I have experience with crocodilians and venomous herps in an AZA facility if you need someone to run it for you. ????. GREAT ZOO!
Best zoo of my life!
Best zoo of my life!
Amazing day at Granby zoo! Fun for everyone, stayed there for 4 hours with my 2 year old. Saw lots of animals and very safe for my kid even if we let her run around. Amazoo (water park) is amazing and the slide were the best part for her. Recommend for anyone with kids.
Very good food but slow service.
There's so much to do we were able to make everyone happy. If you want a chance to do everything in one day stick to one of the itineraries on the website and arrive at opening. Even though it was really crowded the longest we waited was at the entrance. This can even be avoided if you buy your tickets ahead of time. If you're on a budget bring a lunch. The food is very expensive but there is a lot of picnic areas to eat.
Wonderful place for kids: a zoo, an amusement park, a water park! All your kids needed for a summer weekend! The town of Granby is also nice for visiting.
It was a nice adventure for us, very neat and friendly environment to take the kids to. Love seeing all the animals for the very first time.
Had a great time here with the family. came with adults and two kids. Having everything with in one location was great. The zoo, rides and the waterpark. The only down side was the traffic leading up to the parking lot... which was full but we found a parking across the street. Hope to return.
worth the price, so much to see my daughter had a great time. water park is pretty much a wave pool and 4 slides. this is a zoo more than anything else. just pay the 10$ for priority parking its worth it
The kids simply loved those two. There is so much to see. Although one day is not enough. one problem is at the beach there is clearly not enough space and chairs for everyone if you get there after 11.
Pretty nice place to bring kids~ zoo and water park! Fun times
I've been to a lot of zoos. The enclosures are too small, animals did not have clean water, and many appeared depressed. Social animals were alone or only had 1 other of the same species. I didn't get to the water park area as I had an elderly woman with me.
Nice place with plenty of animal variety. There is so many things to do. Great for a busy day!
I went during the winter from around 11:30 to 4pm and we had time to see everything, there are less people and you get to see the animals but some of them may be hiding due to the cold. For the price it was totally worth it my favorite part was the mini farm where you get to pet goats.
the park is perfect for all ages, very complete and you can observe different types of animals from different continents! I will only give it 4 stars for an unforeseen event that I did not expect, the zoo has two different schedules, in this case I bought my ticket for 9:30 am .. at 12:00 pm I took a break to eat and continued with my lovely walk on foot ... without realizing it the time passed and when it was 2:00 pm they asked me to leave because it was already closed !!! ???????? I had not finished yet friends !!! But At 2:00 more people began to enter the zoo, it did not seem fair to me that they kicked me out when I had not finished my tour! People who enter in the morning must leave at 2:00 for other people to enter .. I understand a little about the problem of the pandemic but they should explain that at the entrance or when buying your ticket .. even so it is highly recommended, and buy your tickets online is also much better!
Great place for families with kids. The African section is particularly well maintained with typical African animals. The attraction part is small but great for kids below 12. The water part is really nice for the entire family.
The zoo is great but it should be bilingual. It was disappointing to watch my nephew wait anxiously to see them feed the lions. There was about a half hour talk given only in french at the scheduled feeding time and he couldn't understand why they weren't feeding the lions. The parking situation is also very strange. The parking lot for the zoo is not at the zoo so they have school buses to shuttle people between the zoo and the parking.
Very fun activity for family, the kids loved it.
Hopefully the limited hours were due to the covid issue as 8 hours to do all the animal sections, rides and the waterpark is not enough. We were there for 7 hours and could not do south america and had no time to even try a ride or see the water park even though we had paid for it. Otherwise alright. Could've saved 20 dollars per adult.
The best zoo in Canada.
Great place to go with the family activities for all ages. Free parking and your able bring your own food and drinks can't go wrong. And very well priced season passes totally worth it!!!
Loved the place, clean and very organized. Not very expensive too!! All the toilets were clean and you will find trash boxes everywhere. Only disappointment was - the travel from Vermont took 1 hr 40 min and it took 1.25 hr to cover last 1 mile to the Zoo. BUT it was totally worth it. DON'T miss the river tube ride. IT IS FUN!!!!!!!!!!!
A very nice zoo.. with a huge variety of animals separate by continent.. they offer the possibility to ride poneys and camels.. plus for limited time, they have dinosaurs... and that's not even mentioning the aqua park and their rides.. believe me.. a day it's not enough to see and try everything!
Overall great experience. Love all 3 different park into one location You can visit the rides, then head to the zoo section then the water park. Great souvenir shop and food courts . Bathrooms everywhere with change table available as well as water refill station was awesome.
My kid was excited to see the animals. It's a nice place for family, but under the pandemic it's too packed still and people usually don't put masks outdoor and physical distancing is impossible indoor.
Good place to take your children but found a lot of the animals were stressed a bit, not overly but I still think some of their enclosures were too small. I think the money should go more towards the animals than all the little huts and things for people. Quite expensive. Doubt I'll be visiting again. Lots of parking spaces. It's definitely built to attract and please the visitors, not the animals. Nice that they have different areas and a petting zoo which is great for children (and adults). I would recommend more a place like Omega park in Montebello or Ecomomuseum in Montreal, which is geared more for the animals' comfort and happiness. Nice place to take pictures though
Great experience, well organized with COVID measures in place. Enjoyed the trails & seeing the animals. We will definitely be back to see what we missed this time around.
My daughter loves this Zoo. Its definitely a day trip, as the place is huge. They also have an amazing water park. I would suggest going for 2 days if you plan to do the Zoo and Water Park. This way you dont feel rushed trying to get threw the Zoo so you can have enough time to enjoy the water park. It's a great spot for parents and kids. Bring a stroller if you have young kids because there is a lot of walking and it's a fun but long day for them. Every year we've gone, we've had an amazing day and we cant wait to go again. Especially now that my daughter is old enough to enjoy the water park. Great spot and worth the price in my opinion. Plus, they have a great gift shop with really cute stuff for all ages.
Well I brought my Kids to see the animals but really was waste of money coz all the animals were asleep like they been doing night shifts. Anyways on the end that was too much price for a little fun...
Great place to enjoy the day for people of all ages. The zoo is beautiful and organized. The waterpark included definitely adds a lot to your day. It was Easy to get there. I will definitely go again.
My family and I have been to Zoo de Granby every summer for the past 5 years. We just love it! For a very reasonable price, the zoo offers a beautiful variety of animals , fair rides and an the amazing Amazoo water park. You can bring a cooler and picnic on the grounds or purchase food and drink. We just got back but are already looking forward to going back next summer!
Great place to go with kids lots to see it takes more then a day to do everything cause they have a water park there. Food is good and priced fair.
Awesome Zoo with nice staff
We had a great day! The lineup was long when we got there even though tickets were purchased in advance. Everything else about our day was great. We brought a lunch and found an a picnic table to eat. We went counter clockwise around the park and it seemed to help as we didn't feel crowded throughout the day.
The kids loved the zoo! The Dino Zoo was a trip to Jurassic Park! So Fantastic! The Amazoo was awesome too but needs more place. They have some dumb rules but well...it is my opinion...The restaurants should lower their price too...But the rest of the visit was great!
Very good zoo near greater montreal area. They have animals from africa asia america. Also they have a nice play area and water park for kids.
Last time I was there was over 20 years ago, so definitely looks upgraded. Going off season was easy, a lot less people, but a lot of the main animals like lions were not available.
It was amazing! The only "complaint" I'd have is about some people lacking judgment and the park not enforcing some "rules". We were trying to find a table to eat; we figured that the tables near the restaurant were there for that purpose only to find three rows of tables with coolers and bags, no one sitting and eating... It took us more time to get a table than anything else that day... The animals were beautiful, clearly looked after and cared for, but when we got to "Africa" they looked bored. Could have been the heat and humidity or end of day? Still a positive and educational experience for my kids who loved filling the "Passport".
We went during the winter, was a good experience. Good selection of animals. More for kids but it was fun. Would be more interesting during the summer. Not a lot of places to eat inside, we had to eat outside in the cold, but by a fire.
This zoo is great for kids. We came from Ottawa, and the zoo made the trip worth it. Our boys being two and five had an AMAZING time at the zoo, and we haven't even done the water park yet. There are lots of animals, and you get significantly closer to them here than in Toronto.
Perfect Summer hangout place for the family!! Kids will love the place, along with amusement park and water park it’s a complete refresher!!
By this time there was few zones in construction - However the rest of the zoo was amazing. Natural environment
Cleanest place I've seen in a while! I saw so many staff go around with a broom that it got me impressed. You may be paying a bit more at the entrance, but you will see the benefits quite quickly. There is a ton of student employees, running around doing various jobs from cleaning to doorman. The place seems eco-friendly, as you can see solar panels on a few buildings. The diversity of activities (and animals) for kids is awesome, and I highly recommend you start with the aerial train tour to see the park. We didn't get time to go to the water park, maybe next time. But for the rest im very impressed, great place to go with kids. Tip Tip: at the entrance they give you a pamphlet with restaurant coupons inside. Most of them give a free lunch to kids. Highly suggest the "Casa Grecque" restaurant in Granby, the food is amazing and the kids eat for free.
Animals bearly move, nothing excited. The park is very very small. If you have already been to some other great zoo, this one ain't gonna be good for you.
Fun for the whole family. I enjoyed a walk around zoo, and then refreshed at Amazoo! There is a great water parc with slides and and wave pools! Lots of fun!
Fantastic spot. The Zoo is awesome, and the water park was so much fun. Will definitely go back.
Awesome place we spent almost 4 hours there and still didnt get to see everything. As it is the fall it qasq easy to see all the animals as there wasn't many people. Down side most if the food and drink places were closed. So we purchased the refillable cup and popcorn container and had a difficult time finding refills. We were able to get a slush but not a drink. Besides that perfect for all ages. The main parking lot is a bit confusing when you pull as it is listed as group parking.
Lot's off improvements since our las visit, 13 years ago, more attention to the details. All in all a very pleasant and educational day. A little on the expensive side as the food and drink's go but good size portions and plenty of cold drink's to cool you off.
one of the best zoo in canada .....lots of herbivorous carnivorous platform birds washroom entry tickets wheel chair assistant gift shop food courts sitting area car commute parking fee applicable \dont miss it \enjoy with kids
When I went it was under construction so prices could have been a bit cheaper..over $100 for a family of 3...and that's in the "off season" lol. But it was ok. Better to go for 2 days as u wouldn't be able to see everything in one day.
Excellent place for the whole family. Parking was spacious and well designed. The zoo was clean, garbages were not overflowing and animals seemed to be happy (I'm no expert) in their large exhibits. Price is steep but includes most rides, including some of the amusement park rides like bumper carts etc. There is a lot to see and I highly recommend taking all day to spend at this place. At a fairly fast speed, it took us 5 hours to visit all the exhibits. I would also suggest bringing a few meals. Restaurants and food stands aren't cheap and fortunately there are many tables with chairs and benches all over the park to sit down and eat a bite. We brought our stroller (which is fairly wide) and were able to access 90% of all areas except the cave to see the bats and the mini farm to pet the goats and sheep.
Excellent zoo!! Compared to other zoo we have visited this one is by far the smallest. However had many animals that you don't get to see it so closely at the large zoo!! If you get the chance I'd definitely recommend this!
It was very good but some attractions didn't work and you need to pay for some of them too
My children loves this place. Zoo and water park together ????
So beautiful and good management for covid 19 precautions, the great thing all the satf are friendly and would help always, the zoo divided into parts which make you easy to walk and see the animals, don't forget to take a train tour with your family that takes you around the zoo on the top level . I would recommend it for anyone who visit Quebec must come to this zoo
The staff was super friendly and they were constantly disinfecting door handles, banisters, common areas, etc. Very good safety measures (covid-19). nice zoo.
Plenty of stuff to do and the animals are quite easy to see. Felt safe with plenty of hand washing station and sanitizer everwyhere. Water park is a bit more free for all since mask cannot be worn or taken on rides. Lots of stuff were closed because of covid and lines appear a lot longer because of it as well.
We went to the Zoo on a whim and looked for tickets 24 hours before we went. There where no "zoo" tickets available but over 1000 tickets for ZOO and Waterpark which were more expensive. We had to buy the combo pack which was not fair. Zoo is good. Exhibits well placed. Nine of the fun interactive exhibits are open due to pandemic. Waterpark was fun after we paid 5 bucks to rent a locker. Lunch was horrible. We like to encourage business by buying our lunch there. Our bill for 2 adults and 2 kids was over 60 bucks for a chicken burger, 4 waters, 2 poutine and chicken fingers. See picture of minuscule chicken burger. Kids wanted pizza but it was burnt and employees refused to make more. Complained to management and they didn't care. Long line. Horrible experience. Worst 60 bucks I have spent in a long time. Food was not really good. Chicken burger was cold and super small. All in all, not as good as it once was. Would recommend people bring a lunch. Worst Customer service in a long time
First experience on winter and it was nice! First time I saw snow leopard up and moving. Most animals are still there to be seen. The only down side is that the lunch area is quite far, so having kids and a lot of stuff tu bring us a bit if a hassle. Beside that, it was a really nice experience.
Great place for a family outing, but make sure to bring your own food, as I found the food there is too pricey and not that special.
Great zoo.Very big
You also get access to the small water park and amusement park with the one day pass. The animals in the zoo are in quite a beautiful set up. Amusement park and the water park has all the essential rides for a family outing.
Great place to bring the family. Zoo very interesting. Some parts are interactive like feeding rays or feeding birds nectar. Water park is fun but practically impossible to find seats unless you go there first thing in the morning and park your towels because that's what everyone does. For court is actually kind good and reasonably priced.
Zoo is amazing ! It has couple of "branches " : zoo , aquarium , rides and water park. Some main animal components are Asia , Africa , South America. It has a lot of sitting areas as well as restaurants ( poutine , burgers , beaver tails , hot dogs , ice cream , slush ) A full day will be perfect in order to enjoy all activities .
So much fun for everyone. I hadn't been to the zoo since my childhood and this place made me feel like a kid again. I had the greatest time and so as my daughter and nephews. We were there the whole day and it was amazing.
This is more than a zoo. It has a few amusement rides (mostly for kids) and water park as well. This is great for families with children since one can go to the rides or water slides if they want a break from the animals. Entrance fee is reasonable and well worth it for what it offers.
Really something to see need to bring ur lunch and good sneakers
The Zoo de Granby, the largest zoo in Québec, is located a 75-minute drive from Montréal The Zoo de Granby is huge, so it is divided into four distinct “loops” for visitors to maximize their time: The Africa, South America, Asia and Oceania loops. There is also a water park, amusement park, an animatronic dinosaur zoo Village filled with souvenir boutiques, food and other services. Kids play area, and restaurants some of them are closed but the tables are available outside It is amazing park I loved this visit I will come again to the water park it was closed.
Very poor covid precautions, basically no distancing most hand sanitizers were empty.
I was there this week, very unorganized, not fun, most rides were closed, water park was dirty, no sanitizing going on, everyone is acting like there’s no pandemic, wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Animals were all in tiny enclosures, no one is wearing masks, there wasn’t any public health measures being pursued. Was not worth the total of 450 I spent with my family at all. Employees refuse to speak English with me even though they understood in English they continued speaking in French. Been to many theme parks this summer, this was by far the worst.
So they control how many people get in, at the gates it seems like a lot, but since you have to RSVP you're only picking up the bracelets to get in, it's not so bad. The amount of folks in the zoo is reasonable, you get 4h, so it's best to get there in advance because it's a fixed period of time. The zoo has been rearranged so that every path is one way through the areas, which makes it simple to get around and you get to enjoy all the exhibits. Went there with the kids and we didn't have time to see everything. But that was okay, as they were getting tired anyways. To state the obvious, weather is important to consider as too warm or cold or wet makes it unpleasant. All in all they did a pretty good job, my trip was more pleasant than visits pre-pandemic.
Nice place for kids and family picnic.
Nice, big, lots to do, everything expensive as expected, and it's a zoo at the end of the day. Some animals are just sad to see like this...get ready to drop 200 dollars for a family..bring your own lunch!
Great place to spend a day with a lot of different animals to see and activities to do. The aquarium is surprisingly big! The water slides and lazy river were also fun.
best zoo in Quebec 2021❤️????????????????????????????????
Great place to spend the day. Kids and adult will enjoy this place ❤
Best time to go is when it's raining! We decided to go when the weather was wet, though it cleared up very shortly after we arrived. Parking lot was empty and the zoo itself was pretty empty. Some animals and most of the concession stands were closed because of the weather, but it didn't take away from our experience.
Expensive, but has a lot of amenities and free parking.
The policy of no return or exchange is ridiculous. We wanted to visit the zoo very much. However, my 5 year old woke up with a running nose and a cough so we could not come. I don't want reimbursement, just to use my tickets another day. After loosing 150$, do you think I will buy tickets again? JAMAIS!
It was a nice one day outing on a weekend. Its divided into mainly 4 zones : Africa, South America, Asia, Oceania. Its best for kids.
Really nice zoo. The staff was super friendly and they were constantly disinfecting door handles, banisters, common areas, etc. Very good safety measures (covid-19).
Always a wonderful visit no matter the season. It's a new experience each time with discoveries to be had. The day was cooler so the animals were more active than hot summer days. Grounds are clean and all covid measures in place including directional signs to follow which means no just walking around against the crowd. Staff are masked and always have friendly Allô ready for guests. A joy to watch the snow leopards eating and the Macaques running around. The hippo enclosure was a delight to see the three hippos above and below water. And who knew that lemurs could howl?!?!? A day never seems enough to see and hear it all!
It is a great place to spend with friends and family. We got a great group deal and arrived early to visit the whole park. Food was expensive so we brought our own food in a cooler. There are many areas seating areas in the park.
It's a zoo so it goes without saying it's a nice place for those who have interest in wildlife.. there are different zones where one can see animals from different continents.. Africa, Asisa, South America, Australia.. Took around 2.5 to hours to explore.. There are cafes and restaurants in plenty..7D theatre and mono rail are good attractions, these 2 attractions are not included in the zoo tickets. Amusement park isn't very big, don't expect too much from the the amusement park, it can't be compared with Disneyland or USS.. Kids would love it
Loved the park. My only issues with it was the small habitat for the big cats (tigers and leopards), and the lack of varied Australian animals.
Loved the park. My only issues with it was the small habitat for the big cats (tigers and leopards), and the lack of varied Australian animals.
Beautiful place to have fun in family, many activities for just one day
Great outing with close friends!
The covid measures really cut down attendance, we also visited on a Monday that was supposed to rain but we had a blast not having to zigzag thru people. Thank you Granby Zoo for staying open and limiting your attendance, it was the best experience I've had there (we used to have a season pass when that was possible)
This zoo is huge! It really worth the money, there is also an amusement and a water parks in it. All the animals are well kept and have good spaces. My boys loved T-rex exhibition, they were scared and excited with it. The summer time is taught though, there are too many people there, so we tried to come either when the weather was not perfect or closer to the end of the day. Once we came during the weekday and at first couldn't park for an hour and then were seeing only people's backs. Both parks are great!
Awesome experience . Will go again.
Big zoo need four days to visit and see everything
Was there for a meeting. The Taylor hall used to be an interactive movie theatre which was converted into a really outstanding meeting hall now. Service was on point.
It was very very fun. Very very good for a family trip!
Super fun. My son loved it too. The animals were beautiful and seemed to have great conditions. The winter is cruel for some of them, but they try there best to create good places for the animals. I only felt that some big birds could be happier if they got a larger place.
Beautiful but wait a bit to go. Covid pretty much made them keep most animals indoors
So many fun things to do! Could easily spend two days here. Excellent value for money! Love that you can bring in your food and that the food on site is decently priced. Can't wait to come back!
The whole family had so much fun between the zoo and amusement park
Nice place for kids. The zoo has a lot of animals from all over the world.
Great place for a day off with familly and friends. The waterpark is very nice aswell. I try and go as many times as i can every summer. There are Also special events you can get tickets for on the website, such as A night at the Zoo, evening events and other specials of the such, for a different take on the zoo and waterpark.
Pretty fun but expensive and a few things are not included in admission fees such as life vests for kids under the height limit and the monorail.
The best way to describe Zoo Granby: A nice water park with an associated zoo. Or a petting aquarium... As a family we have bought the year long membership for three years now. If your kids a re younger they will always have something to look at.
Very crowded and they are not following covid measures. No social distancing and no one is wearing masks even their staff. All the sanitizer stations are empty and they don't sanitize tubes between uses. It was a very bad experience for our family.
we like the place. we had fun
We're regulars here attending at least once every summer. It's a perfect way to really take advantage of an entire day. The zoo is well maintained, clean and the animals look very well taken care of. The water park doesn't have any crazy high slides but there's plenty to keep you busy for a few hours. Be sure to arrive early as the parking lot fills up quickly and then you'll have to take a shuttle bus to another parking lot that is quite far away.
Awesome zoo! You can walk through 4 different continents and visit all the animals. They do overhype the dinosaur thing but it is kind of cool. The staff were really caring about the visitors. I went to make a complaint about some guy kicking the goats and they took it seriously. They also have a great waterpark section. Parking does get irritating though... Overall great place and will definitely be returning!
Over crowded, hard to nativagate with narrow walkways and many large groups. Water park had unbelievable line ups come 3 or 4pm after we finished the zoo part. We decided to leave and not spend even more hours in the lines. Animals were either not in their pen (or outside) on numerous occasions, and animals looked depressed. Areas for the animals were quite small, and it made me depressed to see there wasn't much for them to do. Monkeys had the most play space from what we saw. Kids left disappointed not being able to participate in the waterpark. The zoo needs to expand the areas for the animals and exercise crowd control.
My family love coming to enjoy visit this place . 2020 3x time was there and all was cool ;) come early because one day not enaugh to try everything out. Zoo is clean well keept rare animals. Waterpark and a playground amazing too #will c'm bck#!
We literally enjoyed every single corner of this well organised park. Although almost everything was closed due to COVID-19 we still had lots of fun and appreciated the half-day-ticket which was more than enough with the freezie weather. It is very baby friendly and all facilities were clean. The down side is the long wait for the giraffe, elephant and that the tickets aunt refundable nor transferred which is not too handy with this weather.
We had so much fun, want to go back asap
Just love this place. Best zoo near Montreal.
Amazing experience for the full day with family.
It's a beautiful place for all the family. Please respect the sanitary norms and social distancing.
Walk after dark was cool. Tour is in French only. Guide was nice and bubbly, speaks quickly but there was a lot of information to get through. While the groups are smaller than anything you'd find during the day, I did still feel it was a bit crowded at some stops. My family and I are shy and tend to let others go first and we missed out on a couple of things because we didn't push to the front.
Highly recommended! Pros: Huge variety of animals, well organized, lots of activities for kids in the amusement park, awesome water park, reasonably priced, friendly staff, lots of parking, good pandemic safety systems..lot to say! Cons: Impossible to see everything in a day, a separate ticket system for water park or amusement park should be provided. Overall, an amazing experience even though we couldn’t even cover half the facilities in a day. Definitely going back!
Feeding times are the best part of the visit. The waterpark was a lot of fun with the family. The extra 5$ for 2 minutes of a 3d movie in a "d-box like" chair feels like a rip off.
Great zoo and animals seem happy in their environment. My 2 year old granddaughter loved each animal but was afraid of the dinosaurs. We covered the whole zoo and had lunch in 4.5 hours. Entry fee was a bit expensive.
Great sized zoo. I'm impressed it includes a water park and amusement park.
It was a rainy day to start off so we got the whole zoo to ourselves and I loved to experience all the different continents ???? There were no employees following us everywhere and we got to take our time and talk to every animal.
My family and I loved visiting the zoo and water park! We went in mid June on weekdays so it wasn't very busy. We did the zoo one day and the water park a second day. We will definitely return if in the area again!
Large variety of animals that all looks healthy and happy. We had a lot of fun even if some areas were closed because of the pandemic. I believe all indoors space asked to have our mask on and we had to always be 2 meters apart from other individuals or groups. The number of people in the Zoo was also lowered for precautions and because of such it was less crowded than usual. We had a great experience and I can't recommend visiting even when it is not summer.
Very nice..
Nice place, it's a little expensive, but it's a wonderful place
Amazinh day nice place to spent with your family and friends a lot of actibities
It's very big and a lot to do and entertaining for the kids but it is very very dirty compared to other attractions I've been in Canada or in the US. They had to close 3 of the pools because they were poop in it...
Loved the waterpark especially. My negative is that the park isn't opened long enough for the cost. Closing at 5pm when there's plenty of daylight and sun should be reviewed. The shops/food stalls closed before 5pm. From experience, patrons with kids especially buy food, drinks and other stuff when exiting.
It's a really nicely designed presentation, the animals are amazing, glad we visited :) came on a rainy day, food options were very limited. I'd suggest bringing some snacks.
Mixed feelings here, in one hand it’s very nice to be able to show all these animals to your kids, on the other hand you show them animals that are obviously not happy and tortured by being in an enclosed. The water park is really nice but there should be a price for just this. The overall price is very expensive and why is there just junk food in these place...
Lots of space. Clean. Good directions for social distancing.
Great zoo, lots to do, very well run. Only complaint is the food. The lines are extremely long, the food is poor, and there are not enough tables. The Marche food court is extremely confusing, slow, and disorganized.
Very nice place to spend the day! Just that because of covid the social distance isn't always possible or respected. Besides that the place clean and employees doing their job.
It was fun ☃️❄keep kids busy and play. But to be honest, it's extremely cold ~ minus 20☃️❄
Always loved this place where we make it an all day event with the family each year. But it's getting repetitive. Might go to the Toronto Zoo or New York Aquarium next year. Their main restaurant has pathetic service. It cost me almost $80 to feed a family of 5 + 1 toddler. Crazy! My Italian poutine was $8... average size and nothing special about it. They need to review their prices. It's crazy!
Great place to have a good time
Great place for a family outing! The only reason I don't give 5 stars, is that the food at the main restaurant court is expensive and tasteless!! 60 dollars for 4 small burgers, fries and small drinks is way too much. Bring your own picnic!
This is a great place for family with kids. There are many free rides and we are expecting for the opening of aquatic parks in few weeks.
It was a great day! Lots to see for the kids. The only complaint I have is the bathrooms were discusting.
Wonderful Zoo and Midway (good memories)! I know! I should have left a review years ago. Few summers ago I took my elderly mother, sister and my kids to this zoo. Unlike Toronto's Zoo which is grand and sophisticated, Granby is small by comparison but it had a feel of a real family down-to-earth setting. You don't need to walk far to see a large variety of animals. The small aquarium is well staffed with many aquatic species. The biggest attraction is that one can actually pet (with luck) an incoming ray or shark; I touched one! Of course the main animals are all there (giraffes, hippos, lions, tigers, etc. and even rare species like snow leopards). And many more. The adjoined midway is not as big nor have thrilling rides like those found in Marineland, but the rides were adequate for anyone with young ones or for people who prefer tamer ones like myself. With the same admission one can go to these rides unlimited. The chance games were also nice whose prizes were very reasonable. Staff were friendly and amazingly spoke good English. Warning: come here during weekday or if you are coming during weekend, come early! First parking lot gets full fast, otherwise you'll have to park about a mile away (but shuttles will take you to the zoo's main gates). I will certainly come back here one day again with my now grown-up kids.
Pleasantly surprised but the zoo. Prices were decent and staff was friendly. Clean bathroom, baby changing areas could be upgraded and more frequent throughout the park. The "extras" were not overly priced. Will be returning
Granby Zoo is always enjoyable. I've been going for about 26 years. This was my first visit during the Spring, I've always gone during summer. I think I saw more animals up close in this visit than ever before. I highly recommend going in the cooler months, I'm sure this is why the animals were more active and visible. Looking forward to going back this summer to take advantage of the Amazoo which is loads of fun. Great place to visit with or without kids.
Went and it was pretty hot. The animals we did get to see were fairly active. The amazoo was a hit with our kids. The zoo is a must see if you're visiting the Eastern Townships.
Surprisingly more fun than expected! Lots of animals to see, great fun for the whole family. If you don't get there early though, the parking will be fulland they will divert you to P2, 5 min drive away and you'll have to do the shuttle service (which worked out fine).
Fun place to spend a day. Bring your own food. Waterpark is decent.
Amazing place for the kids. Zoo is fantastic. However the waves pool is very poor advertised. It is very slippery and you can get easily hurt. It is a lot of fun for the kids but too slippery for the parents.
Came here for the second time after 7 years. Most of things have stayed the same. Great Zoo to explore and walk around in one day time.
Love the place. Easy to walk around. Animals seems to well taken care of and enclosures are large. Easy to view the exhibits with large windows and multiple viewing locations. Monorail ride was very beautiful with fall colors.
Love the place. As an adult still find a way to go there every year. Food is affordable considering a place of this type. There is a water park also to make a full and complete nice day. Also open in winter many animals. Say allo to my turtle friend here .. pretty sure this one was smiling
we go every year and gets better and better every year and my daughter who is Autistic LOVES it!
It doesn’t deserve to spend the money on this visit, so busy everywhere and spend half of the time queuing, especially in water park and amusement park. As well as, most of the animals were so sleepy or hidden in their cages. On general adults and children were not happy in that journey and could not see all the animals unfortunately.
All I have to say, is job well done Granby zoo, after being locked up for a year and half, spent a lovely day with my granddaughter, lots was closed, but that was OK
a nice place but I did not like the experience, the animals look very sad, they don't have enough space, I don't know if I would like to return, maybe to visit the water park, but the experience was too sad, I just wanted to get out of there.
What could have been a wonderful holiday with my boys was a colossal disaster. A lovely zoo, make sure if you are planning to come you call ahead and ask what, if anything, will actually be running. First the good. The dino zoo section was a huge hit with my boys. The dinosaurs were interactive and the exhibits quite cool. The other regions were all equally well done as all the animal enclosures allowed for the animals to be seen from some vantage point. Food was ok, if overpriced but no more so than was expected for a captive audience. No restrictions on bringing your own food into the zoo though. Now to the totally unacceptable. Apparently this multi million dollar facility only runs at the behest of high school aged students. All the major attractions were closed. Roller coaster, closed. Water park, closed. Pirate ship, closed. Ferris wheel, closed. Camel rides, closed. They did have 6 staff members running the little kiddie rides. They had no problem having me pay a full fare though. So, do not come unless it is the peak of the season as nothing will be open. We will not be returning.
Amaze place for kids and families
We had a great family experience at the zoo on May 23rd 2021. Since the capacity is lowered due to the pandemic (still almost sold out on our day) it is a great experience with never too many people at the same spots. If you have a chance to go this week, it's a great experience! A lot of different animals who are happy and mostly active! Definitely recommended!
Our family really enjoyed our day there. The only thing that I found "special" is that there is a lot of benches for smokers to smoke but none for women to breast feed their babies. I had to sit on a rock to do so. Next to me was another woman breast feeding too... That was the spot I guess!
LOVED LOVED LOVED my day at the zoo! As did my 3 yr old daughter, who particularly enjoyed the rides (little train, cars, big wheel...all included in the price too)...animals looked happy and had plenty of space, great staff...food court burgers and fries cold and expensive but i wasnt expecting otherwise!! Will be returning one day ❤
One of the nicest zoo I have been to. I wont call it a zoo thou, personally its more like a park that has amusement park section, amazing water prk section, and a zoo section. Its pricey but worth a visit. Had camel ride, pony rides for kids.. and few other interesting activities.
Great for kids and adults! Well designed with large variety and selection of exotic species. Our favourite pavillions were: tigers, llamas, gorilla, feeding rays, hippo, elephants, giraffes...The aviary is awesome!!!
Day needs to be well planned. Most of the animal exhibits were under construction. Very few but nice amusement rides and water rides. The wave pools were very nice. The realing water tour was amazing and very well designed!! Over all a good one!
Zoo was nice, but there were line up to get into the different pavilions and people were not respecting social distancing measures.
It was decent. A little disappointed. It would of been nice to have the zoo keepers there
They treat their animals like garbage, multiple 'rides' at the amusement park you must pay for, if not they are not closed altogether, if you bring your dog they will cage them up next to the garbage and grease traps near the toilette of the front entrance in order to not 'stress' the animals. Yet at the same time they offer people to ride the animals (which seems quite stressful)
It's a huge place, we spent 6 hours there, kids were happy, there is a little for everyone.
We decided to visit Granby today during it's winter opening in hope of seeing some new animals out in unusual (for me at least) climates. At first a little disappointed as all the animals were (quite understandably given the chilly snowy surrounds) indoors in quite confined enclosures and many of the side shops, eateries and exhibits were closed. However, the Asia loop was today fantastic with all the star attractions (including Snow Leopards, tigers, leopards) all making an appearance. This section was today worth the entrance fee alone. Oceana was also good. Whilst we can only judge on the winter opening and pathways this seems to be a nicely laid out and presented zoo with plenty to see and do (especially for younger visitors, which cannot always be said). We were surprised how close to the animals we were for some exhibits and as such we got some fabulous pictures. The restaurant and gift shop were what you would expect from such an attraction, though the addition of beaver tails was nice and ticked one of my must have feasts for this trip.
Amazing zoo even in winter!! All the animals seem well fed, in good health and happy! Kids will love it and it since you can even feed the rays :)
A lot of animals:amur tigers, snow leopards, amur leopard, bears, birds, elephants and many many other animals. It is a very good place to visit with your children.Everything was planned in a good way so a day there will bring you a lot of positive emotions and fun.
GRANBY ZOO , Is always a nice experience for the kids. , I was Disappointed that they removed the dianasours
My favorite weekend getaway! This zoo has great enclosures (no cages) for animals, it is divided in continents, plus there is an amusement park, a petting zoo and a water park. Although it is a bit understaffed (long wait times for food and drinks) it is always pleasant and friendly
Very good fun for kids
Always great for the kids. This place is also known for its water park. Very busy during summer especially in july and weekends. So it's important to plan it out because you won't be able to see everything and do it all.
Kids loved it! Felt good to do a normal activity again
Kids loved it! Felt good to do a normal activity again
Very nice was not crowed. My first time going in a few years. I always stuck to park safari because with younger kids it was easier to drive though then chasing after them. This park is nicer and offers more.
Nice to see them finally spending money. Just reusing old cages for new animals. Cost a little too much. And 3.75 for a Coke is a joke. Start feeding the animals a little more. They can be fed better. If your gonna get high make sure you vape it.
Alot of construction being done and it was off season when I went alot of stands were closed. Good exhibitions though
Fun, exciting, the kids also enjoyed the Waterpark and rides. Friendly, helpful staff.
Animals mostly seemed happy and well taken care. Being forced to wear masks inside the complexes wasn't great but that's what you get from living in this UN controlled province.
Congratulations to the management of the zoo not only for the zoo itself but for their parking arrangements as well. Great work, quick and seamless transportation from P2. I highly recommend it to all families!! It was our first time there and it was a day we will never forget!! Clean, tidy and all the necessary amenities a family needs! Animals were amazing to see and take photos with! See you next year Granby Zoo and thank you for the happy memories ☺ Keep up the great work Granby Zoo friends!! ????
A nice zoo with water park. There are plenty of washrooms too and places to buy food/drink. The monorail is really fun and you can see the tigers from above.
Great zoo Park has everything you would want ,very clean ,lots of exhibits, rides ,swimming pools, of course lots of animals, giraffe, lions tiger bears ect
Every thing was good. We've had a lot of fun. But, there was one issue and I wish I knew about it when I was there. There was this garden where they have a lot of birds in a place and you pay 1$ for a cup of liquid to feed the birds. My son who is 3 years old was doing like everyone giving his small hand to the birds so they can climb on his fingers. Then that ugly stupid abusive security there she came by and bend on the ground and talked to my son in an unkind way and waving with her finger to him. Letting my son looked confused. The bad thing is when my sister-in-law saw her and asked her is there's anything wrong she said no nothing. At that time I was outside the garden parking my son's stroller and I didn't see that issue. But to know what happened i found it on a video while my sister-in-law was recording the birds and my son. Just a hint to the administration there your guards has no rights to talk to our children if there is any issue they should go directly to the parents or any caretaker accompanying the kids there. Is that how you train your guards to deal with kids? then you have an abusibve guards. If I saw her I would really not let things go quite for her and for your administration if you allow such a rude not acceptable actions towards kids who payed a lot of money with their families to visit your zoo. Such a zoo should have good people who can deal respectfully to your visitors specially the little ones or at least to refer it to the parents or any adults accompanying them in any case. If I visit you some other day and I don't think I would do it because it left a bad memory for me now , if I would so I will make sure that you talk to that rude employee infront of me and my son about her rude not responsible talking with my 3 years old son.
Have fun????
Nice zoo, very organized. Kids loved it so much. Highly recommended for families activities.
It was okay. I give it three stars because we have two young boys that do not speak French, and for that reason they missed out on a lot of probably interesting information. Like when we took the Granby's monorail and the guide would stop now and then to point at something and give out facts, but only in French. Also, many of the stands and exhibits (and for some, it makes sense) were closed due to covid-19. Still, this park is massive and it's got a water park that is fun, but most of the rides at the amusement park were closed. If they had cared about engaging a bigger audience (or customers) that doesn't speak French, I would recommend, but if you do not speak French, better to look for a different attraction
The waterpark was really good and I would go back there again. However The Granby Zoo animal tour was not good.
Easy to navigate, plenty of animals, and bilingualism is abundant. However the food is expensive, and the quality of the poutine is shocking for being so deep into Quebec.
Great place for the family, worth the time and visit!
I would go every year. My kids lived it
So much stuff to do at Granby Zoo and there always seems to be new stuff. The water park is lots of fun and obviously there's the zoo. The zoo itself is divided into four sections and there's lots to see. Animals do seem to be well taken care of, but some of the enclosures do seem a bit small. I'm also not a fan of there being an amusement park right beside certain enclosures. Seems to me that they cheaped out on buying more real estate, settling for just cramming everything together. I expected the food to be overpriced but $5.00 for a slice of pizza is pretty steep. Other things don't seem a ridiculous though at least.
Went there with my girlfriend during a very hot week, we thought it would be unpleasant but turns out it was very good ! The areas where there are animals generally have a couple spots where you can rest and hide from the sun, plus there are a lot of water fountains and garbage cans (we were impressed). Going there on a weekday, you can assume the park was empty and it was almost. I can't comment on going there during the weekend however. Water attractions/games were pretty good, but mostly aimed at kids/families that simply want to relax. Definitely worth it !! I would go again
Great zoo with lots to see and do for all ages. My husband swore by this one as better than the MTZ and I have to wholeheartedly agree. Added on a pass to the Aquapark and it was a very full day.
Nice park. Reminds me of Disney World's Animal Kingdom.
So beautiful, 225 animal species.
Due to COVID there are signs to follow and visit most parts which is nice. I suggest not starting from Parc d’Afrique to avoid the queue otherwise you won’t have enough time to visit the whole zoo. Most people just enter and turn left so start from else where. You can try the train to get a general idea of the place. Do not expect much from this zoo specially this time of the year. Some animals are nice to see though. In spring it seems empty like a desert, not much vegetation, closed stores, not a vivid vibe. Overall an average half a day visit.
It was okay. It was pretty hot when I visited, so a lot of the animals were hiding in shaded areas. A lot of people weren't respecting covid guidelines, like wearing masks in indoor areas. Also, I found it was pretty expensive for what you get, which is basically only four animal areas and a small amusement park where most of the rides are closed, at this time. It's 10 dollars extra per person for the waterpark, but not worth it. Might be better when all this covid business is done with.
We've been 5-6 times It seemed like they were using Covid to close rides or attractions...like stingrays touching station( you normally have to wash your hands before and after this attraction anyways). There were less animals to view as well. Still had a good time but it's not the same experience during covid...except for water park...that's the same.
Amazing place. We usually come in the morning, spend half day at water park, and second part of the day at the zoo and attractions area. Perfect place for the whole family. They constantly improve their environments and animals collection. They also open in winter. AMAZING PLACE.
Very well layed out, a nice family destination. Giving it 4 stars for the quality of the food, I feel it was overpriced for very below average rotisserie food (only one we tried). However, you do have the option to bring your own lunch which I recommend you do. Overall, I recommend the zoo and the waterpark and would def go back!
From the minute we arrived we knew this was going to be great. Park is clean and well laid out. Lots of great deals to be had on food and drink. Slush deals for the kids to keep their sugar levels up and keep them going Plan for a long day cause once you get there you won't want to leave.
Great place to bring the family! lots to see and the water park is appreciated in hot summer days! Off season is also interesting! Less people and you can see winter animal are more active! if you live nearby, get the year pass! best value for money EVER.
I understand the price is less for winter and spring but it honestly feels like it should be closed at this time of year. Yeah sure you get to see some of the animals but less than advertised. Lots of construction and alot of paths are closed, you need to backtrack constantly. The Australian section had only one animal for the whole section, the poor kangaroo looked like it was cold too. Maybe in the summer when they have actual staff around and more of an ambiance but never again in the spring.
Parking was packed, so directed in an alternate parking lot that you had to walk far away to the entrance/exit. No eco-friendly straws or any straws for that matter at the restaurant for the kids to use. And every sanitizer station that I seen (which was rare to find) was empty! Other than that, it was good. Also there should be a little more healthy option to eat in your restaurants.
This was a great day for our family and an experience my eldest (4) won't soon forget! We arrived on a day with on and off rain so much of the concessions were closed and the zoo was rather quiet. The animatronic dinosaurs are spectacular and a must for any dino loving kid (they are a little scary - be warned if your child is sensitive). The zoo is easy to navigate with plenty of spaces to stop and rest along the way. You are allowed to bring in a wagon and cooler for your own lunch. There are several interactive exhibits where you can touch and feed the animals including feeding colourful birds, farm animals, and getting to pet manta rays. Most of the staff speak english and are happy to offer services in either language.
This place is amazing. We wish we had gotten their earlier so we could have done absolutely EVERYTHING! We had out toddler with us and there were so many play structures for her to enjoy; some a little too old for her.. but she tried anyway. Everything for everyone! The animal exhibits were great, they felt so close you could almost touch the giraffes, and elephants etc. They even had a petting zoo, great for actual animal contact. We'll be going again for sure!
Was amazing. Went to zoo opening time. Zoo closes at 6. So much to do. Wish they were open later. Need more time time to experience everything in zoo. Amusement park, waterpark, and seeing animals...
This is no normal zoo. It has everything you need. Waterpark, amusement park and a zoo all into one. We had an amazing time as a family. If you don't find a way to have fun here, YOU messed up. The staff is friendly and helpful the zoo is perfectly laid out and seamless to get around. We didn't visit the Waterpark but from the little we seen it has it all, rides, wave pool and lazy river. We will return and hit the entire park up next time. The zoo exhibits are perfectly set up and give you the best opportunity to see all the animals. The amusement park is tailored to kids under 12 and more like a traveling fair. Due to covid a few of the larger rides did not run. Even without those rides the place was a blast. Great destination for a family trip
Loved my visit we all had fun Enjoyed see the animals, the girls were sliding away having lots of fun. We visit again soon
Whaoo, you must go and see this place, the kids where just hoooo my God. What an experience!!! Absolutely fantastic
Great place for family and friends water park picnic area.
Had a wonderful day. Water park was clean and refreshing. The zoo was amazing. One day is too short to fully take advantage of everything this park has to offer.
Very entertaining for the whole family.
Amazing place to see animal AND catch COVID. Still too many people up close... They should allow less people and be more strict on people touching windows.
The zoo was fun, especially the place where we can feed the birds. It was to bad that a the time I went there was some many missing boards listing the animals we were seeing. If you plan on going, be sure to come early since the animal are way more active in the morning and seems to sleep alot in the afternon.
Amazing place!
It's ok. The weather was great. To much walking for one day. Great for when u have younger kids. But it does get expensive . If you dont bring ur own it's even more expensive. Could not see the gorilla or tigers. The Dino Zoo was great.
The zoo was not fully opened yet. Specially the aqua park
Beautiful
Great waves pool! As a whole, the combination between zoo and aqua park is nice, but there isn't enough time and energy to see everything, especially now with the reduced working time. The lines for the kids pool can get on your nerves, …
Great water park. No covid protocols in place. Tightly packed. Left after 1 hour. Waste of money. :(
Parking was full, we had to park far from entrance... Parc safari seemed better in that sense. But they have the train, a all playground "la ronde" style, dinosaures exposition... Birds that you can feed and come to. Acourium where you can touch the sting ray... But I really wanted to put 1 star because the price and the parking.. That was really not fun. The rest is cool.
Had a nice evening. Thanks to the zoo for opening at night.
This is our second time back and we loved it. The variety of animals in the zoo is incredible. The park is so big with so many things to do, the waterpark was alot of fun especially after the long walk through the zoo on on hot day. A few rides but nothing amazing more for the little ones. The zoo is worth the stop for sure
Fabulous zoo! Lots of animals to see and the grounds are beautiful.
Granby zoo is an amazing place and since covid its very well organized the beer is a bit pricy but its a great place to spend the day with the kids
We enjoyed a very nice day with the family. Kids had a good time and there was tons to do and learn. The amusement park is a bit dated, but most rides were free. The waterpark was great. It was also refreshing to see that we did not get gouged for all the little extras.
So fun staff super friendly. I just hope it was more clean
Rating is based on the zoo, does not include the waterpark. Great enclosures for the primates, however the big cats, the Yaks, elephants and the Rhinos definitely need more space. They have two miniature horses kept in a paved enclosure about the size of my living room. Appalling lack of social distancing by the public, and very poor crowd control and covid-19 management by the zoo. Also very pricey, over $90 for me and my daughter to attend for 3 and 1/2 hours.
A great zoo. Summer or winter it's worth it. Kids wil love it. Enclosures are decent and animals are well taken care of. Lovers of big cats will be pleased, summer or winter too. It's pretty impressive to watch leopards and tigers relax in the snow when it's -20c. You can bring your own lunch too if you want to save money.
90% of the amusement park close 1.5 hour before what they announced on their website 18h. Somebody should follow up with their service ??????
Very nice place and very big but find it expensive
You get to spend a few hours watching animals, and then when you're all sweaty and tired you can go to their waterpark which isn't but there are enough attractions to have a blast! There's a mini farm so that you can pet animals too, which is fun!
We had a lot of fun with the kids.
Nice zoo not as good as park omega but nice. Good amusement rides for kids. Waterpark is the actual attraction love the lazy river, waves and slides. Crowd is much less during weekdays. Make sure to take your nylon swimwear others are not allowed.
I liked it a lot, I would visit it again
Amazing time at the zoo! I highly recommend trying the 7D movie it was incredible :)
There were so many animals including many that i have never seen before in my life like a jaguar and there are also many fun fair ground rides for adults and children
Great place, very nicely decorated, there was a lot of construction going on, they're adding more exhibits. Great enjoyment for all ages from babies to grandparents.
Awesome place for kids and adults to spend sometimes with the animals
Wonderful for the whole family. Having the option to go swimming during the hottest time of the day made it such an enjoyable day for our whole group
A beautiful park Extremely well maintained and the staff are friendly end well educated About the (Wildlife) ???????????????????????????? Bring your food and water nothing is cheap in there For a family of 4 well over a $100 just to enter the park and another a 100 to eat their
A wonderful place, but we stood 1.5 hours in line to leave the parking lot. 1.5 hours in line to leave the parking lot, Carl! I felt sorry for my children, and for all the people in this stupid trap. 2000 parking spaces and no traffic organization. Why is the third exit closed? Ah, it is one-sided! Why is it one-sided?! Where are traffic controllers? People are forced to jostle and cut each other. Animals in the zoo behaved more decently. It spoiled our impression about this place. It was my first and last time here.
Loved it. Awesome animals
Zoo was good, I mean it's a zoo and there were animals in and out of the cages (lots of kids). Zoo was clean and easy to navigate, even as a non-french speaker. You can tell they have put some thought into the scenery, as there are many props put around the park to help make you feel like you are actually apart of the area you are in. Think Disney World, just not as elaborate. Not too many big kid rides in the amusement area. Big kid bumper cars was about all that was free. Several rides for the younger kids (7 and under). There are a couple of pay rides available as well. We briefly walked through the water park, but didn't participate in any of them. Heard lots of laughs, but can't validate the excitement. Prices were acceptable considering where you were for food and snacks. Plus they have a few specials after 2 and then after 5. But staff were hard to find. We tried to search for the Dino eggs in the dinosaur park using the App, but we couldn't find any eggs in the locations. Plus we couldn't find any staff in and around the area. So a few staff in each area would have gone a long way. Several other families were frustrated as well. Animal exhibits were good, with lots of animals to see and the look out points were good. Highly recommend checking out the Bat Cave and the Australian area. I've been to Zoos all over north America and this is the first one I've come across with these two items. All in all a good place to spend a day with the family.
This place needs to be better managed. At the Amazoo people throw their towels on the chairs and piknik tables and dissappear to the zoo. There is no way you can have a chair or table. They need signs that say unattended items will be removed so that everyone can have a space rather than someone e occupying the whole seat for 5% of the day. When I asked an attendant, she gave the predicted snswer: first come first served. . We arrived at 10 am and this policy is nonsense. ...we paid a whopping $136 for 2 adults and 2 kids. See the picture with the empty chairs. It's all over like that. Oh and at 10:30 am my wife found no toilet paper in the bathrooms. It only been 1 hour since opening. NOT WORTH THE $136.00
Loved it!!! So many things to see and do!!! Diferent areas named after the corresponding continent and each section has an amazing staging. The animals are in great shape and the areas where they live are really pretty. Staff is super friendly and with an excellent attitude. It's so big tho that I would recomend to take the season or annual pass so you can go many times and really enjoy each section. You could do it in 1 day but it would be way too rush and personally I love taking my time...
Great day spent at Granby Zoo. Not our first time there but the first time that we attended the water parc, too. Everything is well organized no matter Covid 19
It is a comparatively small zoo (3 hours for the animals ), but well maintained. Very kid friendly . My son enjoyed seeing the animals up close .They have multiple viewing points so depending on where the animal is we can get super close .
Huge place to visit with friends and family. Lots of amenities and very well kept.
The zoo is close to Montreal and easy to get to. There are many activities for the whole family. The grounds are clean and easy to navigate, there are many places to get drinks and snacks. The water park is pretty fun and the lines weren't too long on a Thursday afternoon. It is a great place to take the family for a day. I didn't have the chance to visit the amusement park....next time!
Wake up and smell the coffee people!! When there is only 3 to 2 hours left to closing time, there is no reason to charge the full day entrance fee!! Very simple..
Verry sad how did this place turn out ,animal are sad , no space , use to go there and animals add alote more space this is so sad haf of the parc wase close you barely see personnel taking care of animal verry sad verry verry sad never I'll bring back my familly to this parc
Nice place to visit. Almost notable wild animals are there to see.
So much to see .Was not even able to finish looking at everything within one day. Waterpark was fun. There are rides too. Animals look like they were comfy and relaxed. 5/5
With lest people even better (covid)
All day activity. I had a reserved parking which I would recommend to all my friends. The beaver tail sweetie is delicious.
This is NOT Zoo de Granby. Go to the location on the map that features pictures of animals (that is the right one).
Be careful when buying the tickets, the zoo have no policy to accommodate any change request, so if you have an emergency or a situation or the weather is not good, you have no choice but to lose you money...???? the best of the best client service policy ???? keep the money but you lost a client forever
Very friendly and helpful staff. It is very clean as others here have described it. The animal variety and the beauty of the settings for different animals is very nice. My only big problem is: Lack of proper signs! There are very few signs indicating properly, where the major regions are located! I am walking right past a region like the Asian door and there is not a single sign pointing to it! There are many intersections in this complex zoo which has many restaurants, snack bars, stores, and a water park. Each major intersection should have a comprehensive series of signs pointing to the major regions and attractions. The free parking area suffers from the same problem. Not even one sign as you leave the "Amazoo" door, pointing to the right, and right again! I walked all the way to the end of the wrong (paid?) parking lot before walking back and only realized where it was after I asked an employee. This is ridiculously negligent communication! Hopefully it will be fixed for next summer.
Super time and having the restrictions on limited ticket sales made our day even more enjoyable because it was not as busy and packed as usual. Same thing for the Amazoo always a fun time !
The Granby Zoo has our family's loyalty. My children love it, my wife and I enjoy it. We will continue to visit every year
Very big, you have to walk alot pr pay to get a ride on the over the head train, great desserts and slushies, not so good on the food itself.
The park was beautiful, but no one was wearing a mask. It was very busy. Covid protocols were not enforced. Some line ups were set up where it was impossible to be 6 feet apart. We only stayed for a short time- one lazy river and one tube ride. It's too bad because it would have been very fun. If they are not enforcing protocols, the least they can do is take temperatures before entering.
Half of the attractions are closed... we paid 57$ for the three parks, when we got to the amusement park half of the games were closed and some of them had extra fees that we had to pay to ride them... we tried talking to the manager for some compensation and nothing was done about it... I don’t recommend
Excellent Zoo and so much more. Had a great overall experience. This was my 1st time at the zoo and I’d definitely go back again.
Great experience! Kids of 3 and 6 years old had a lot of fun. Highly recommend.
Great attractions. Kids love it. Great idea with the train over whole zoo before the walking.
I tried to reserve tickets online..no option to checkout as guest. Forced you to create account.
Great place to spend the day with the family. From the mini train, the aerial tram, and amusement park there are plenty of things to see and do. The best part for me is the water park as it was included in our entry fees and a great way to end the day or to cool off when it gets too hot.
Extraordinary zoo! The amenities are clean and everything is well-planned. Very friendly staff. The animals are really wonderful. One of the best places to visit in Québec.
The tigers look extremely unhealthy. It looks like they are giving next to nothing to eat. The lions look ok. Smaller enclosure for 3 lions than 2 tigers. Maybe we went at a bad time. We were able to completely see everything and do everything at this park in less than 7 hours. So you definitely don't need to buy a 2 day pass. Unless you want to pay extra to go back to the water park. It's o.k., great potential. An inspector should definitely have a look at this place.
Really great experience. Employees are great and the site is magnificent. A great place from kids. The sky monorail is a little bit overrated, there not much things to see, but the kids love it.
Too expensive for what it is. If you are not participating in the water slides it is definitely not worth the expense. In my opinion should open earlier to take advantage of all the exhibits and amusement areas. The food at the stands are passable.
Parking was a nightmare due to incompetent staff and police. The zoo has been there forever, it wasn't opening day and it was during the week, so no excuses. Roads to get there are in rough shape (even by Quebec standards). Zoo staff were very nice and knowledgeable. Amusement park and Amazoo staff not so much. Seems they all would have rather been anywhere else. Overall, The zoo was very nice and very clean.
Great place to go for a family day trip from Montreal in winter. Surprised to be able to see so many animals outside even in winter. Kids loved being able to touch some of the animals like stingrays, or goats, or parrots. You can even do some ice skating which is a lot of fun too. I wouldn't advise looking at the Elephants or Giraffes, they looked very unhappy, the Elephants especially. The kids are still taking about how sad they looked (heart breaking really).
Excellent service ! Great place! Aqua park soon will be number one! Early closure be revised Enjoy zoo with your family!
In my opinion, the cages were way too small. A lot of animal in very small spaces. Some didn't seem to have any sunlight. Couldn't bare to finish the zoo, left after the African and South American areas because both had the same issues. Would rather have more spaces for the animals than attractions or shops.
Every year, we visits Granby Zoo because my kids (now 5 & 7) loves it. Although they knew all the animals, they still amazed everytime they see them. My kids also loved the mini-play area that was located in different area. There were a lot of hand sanitizer scattered in all places & encouraged hand washing. Mask is mandatory in enclosed area. Staff were helpful& courteous. Always buys tickets online because of limited capacity. This year we arrived at 11AM, no lines up in everything. But after 3PM there's a line up in accessing in children's pool, restaurant and rides. The only complaint is it's getting pricey now.
Zoo was very good very well organized very friendly staff of zoo and amusement park but for the water park the staff was very rude they were racist they behaved very bad it was just my family in the park they didn’t allow us to go in the water wherever we went to a water side they started talking in there communication devices very very bad experience of the water park will never visit again .They were racist.
Always nice to visit Granby Zoo. Even if you have been there before, it's always fun and relaxing. I never have the time to do it all in one day, there's many animals to see and activities to do!

Love this zoo! The dinosaur exhibit was well done and a hit with the kids (including the husband) it is a full day to tour the whole zoo. We didn't even make it to the waterpark this year. But it was a hit years before for the whole family. We have visited several times and will continue to stop here every time we pass through Québec
Great water park and rides. Lots of animals only starting to get active as the park is closing. Smoking areas placed at every kids play area, who the hell thought that was a good idea???
Granby Zoo is one of my top places I love to visit, there is something for everyone in the family. Itll keep everyone entertained for many hours. I did however find it slightly complicated to get to by transit.
It's a great place to spend time with the family. If you're planning on visiting all the continents and the waterpark I suggest you get there before the opening hours. The 4 stars is because we bought the whole package and we had to pay again to go on the train.
I like the place, just found it little pricey
Really good activity for the kids. There is a water park also so you can do both of you go during summer. Food is good and not too pricey
Nice place for family with kids
The park is being very well kept, we had loads of fun! The dinozoo is a really fantastic addition. My daughter wanted to keep going back to see them ????
Well maintained. Animals seem to be taken care of so it is always a pleasant experience.
Great fun at zoo and Amazoo.
Large collection of animals. Their dinosaur zone is amazing with real-looking species of dinosaurs. They even have movements and sounds embedded in those artificial dinosaurs. It's pretty big so needs good 5-6 hours to explore completely. But worth spending time with kids. It also offers food court areas to sit and have food.
Great time for the little ones.
Wow!! What a zoo..worth it for the price you pay for. Elephants, lions, giraffes , sharks even dinosaurs! My sons ( ages 7 and 2) enjoyed it very much! Will definitely come back.we spent 4 hours and did not even get a chance to see everything!
A beautiful place for families!
There is NO EXCUSE for the low quality of the food. It was disgusting. On top of that there is ONE restaurant for 1400 people. We had to wait a very long line to eat and when we got our food it was disgusting. For a zoo operating this long there is no excuse for not having more restaurants. You CLEARLY have the money to hire more staff and have some decent food in there. 70+ years in service and you still can't have a restaurant with decent food.
Not worth the money. They charge so much because they have a water park inside. Who goes to the zoo to swim? Strange concept. Water park is for swimming and a zoo is to look at animals in captivity. They should not charge for both. They should separate them and then you choose what to pay for.
It's a great place to go and relax spend time with family or by yourself, the grounds folks are amazingly nice and knowledgeable, it's a facility that is always becoming more and more up to date, their even trying to eliminate all waste from the park and encourage reusable resources such as your water bottle.
Awesome zoo! Very clean and inviting. Plenty of well maintained areas with a host of different animals. Friendly staff throughout the park. The Amazoo water park area is a great place to cool off!! I highly recommend a visit. I plan to return and enjoy it again in the future.
Best to come during the week. Plenty of parking,no waiting and everybody is happy! Enjoy a beautiful sunny day with friends and families. When you start to feel a little bit chilly, jump in the crocodile river and relax in a heated pool!
The kids has lots of fun. They really love it there ????
You can walk or pull your child in a sled along the snow covered trails to still see the animals in the winter. Some outside and some pavilions with animals inside.
We had a great time!!! Animals where easy to see and seemed happy/sleepy... The Zoo is surprisingly big. Only issue was parking, was not clear where we had to go from the route we came.
The animals seem really happy and well taken care of. The place is super clean, no trash laying around. You can bring your own food which is a big plus and there's water accessible all over the site, no need to buy plastic water bottles!
Very nice place to visit. Diversity of animals and landscape! All the staff, including the young and motivated youths showed kindness and respect. The menu at the Resto was the ideal one after we had walked for a long time. Hot dogs, fries and fizzy drinks were welcomed. My wife and myself we loved the experience and would recommend anyone. Thanks Granby Zoo.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Over-crowded, unable to see 80% of the animals and high ticket prices. Overall a royal rip-off.
Amazing place. They have all kinds of animals separated by continent. Lots of hands on activities and special events during the day. In the price of the zoo you also get access to the Amazoo water park with wave pool, lazy river, huge water slides and even a foam pool with a foam canon. There are even amusement rides. What a wonderful place.
Nice layout, some exhibits closed due to the pandemic, lots of sanitary measures, great for a day out with the kids!
Went on a Saturday. Although there was a lot of people, we got our tickets in less then 5 min. Once on site it didn't feel too crowded. The carts you can rent to push kids are a life saver. Really enjoyed my day at the zoo with the kids. ????
love that zoo! well maintained and super wonderful waterpark. need a minimum 2 full days to full enjoy the zoo + waterpark. we only visited one section (Africa) in half a day then waterpark. kids between 1.5 - 9 yrs old love it all. there is also an amusement park on site.
The giraffe and I hit it off
Love the zoo and enjoy the Amazoo
The zoo is a great place , and the employee are Soo friendly .
Kinda old and animals are always sleeping, better back in the days. In 2022 I’ll be dead.
We loved this zoo! Could get very close to the animals. Loved seeing the elephants, giraffes, monkeys, zebras. They had everything. Even huge turtles.
Great if the weather is not hot
I think it's a bit outrageous that they'rre charging for children 2 yrs and up.Children should be free. It's way too expensive to see a couple of animals for a couple of hours. They don't have very many animals. They don't have cameras in the parking lot and not very much parking.I go almost every year and last year my baby bag was stolen along with my cell in the parking lot.I am very dissapointed.I will not be coming back until things change.Besides my meal cost $26.for a Poutine, popcorn chicken(in a small format)2 hotdogs(with very dry bread)and a small softdrink. So,basically it costs me close to $200.for the day.
Very nice. Perfect for all family members.
The service was nice. The water park and amusement park were SUPER FUN! Seeing the animals and different continents were cool too!
Doesn’t worth for the price i paid!! Lots of attractions was closed some places there was no animals. With all this the price of the tickets should be atleast half of the normal price as lot of people doesn’t have enough time to make the whole round in a day. Some of the carousel was closed and we paid for all this. Was very disappointed
Great zoo experience for my kid.
Great zoo and water park for 1 great price! Lots to do, definitely get the 2 day pass. Lots of activities to do for the kids. You can see animals from Asia, Australia, Africa, etc. Very clean park and staff are helpful and friendly. The food is a bit pricey but can bring packed lunches and coolers. We go every 2-3 years and theres always something new to see and do. Kids love it. Great for kids 4 to 15.
Went for 2 days for the first time to the zoo with plans to do the zoo one day and the water park/amusement park the second day - the "opening hours" didnt really work out since the water park opens and hour later and the amusement park 2 hours later. Wish the park opened earlier. Zoo is ok - prefer the toronto zoo for animal variety and enclosure quality/visibility. Water park is excellent as the water is heated and was fine to be in despite cooler weather that day.
First time visiting, and it was fantastic. Smaller crowd, so not much of a line up for any of the water attractions. Wave pools were great, and the lazy river was very fun. Kids loved seeing the animals, but when the animal was in one spot, it turned into a bit of the Hunger Games trying to jockey into position to see. Being able to pack a picnic and reserve a spot with your cooler and towels was perfect, but there were plenty of options to buy food, which we will do on the second day. Another treat was the amusement park for the kids. There are a few rides you need to pay for, but the majority are free. All in all, a really nice place to visit.
By far the worst experience for our family. It was over booked, over crowded and it felt as if the health guidelines were not at all being respected. Crowds of people huddled together everywhere. I'm sad to say that we did not feel very comfortable being there today.
Amazing experience. Beautiful place. 100% recommended.
Fantastic for my grandchildren they had so much fun, and many things to do and you get close to some of the animals a great experience for children that's for sure. Will be back again.
Noticed it is a very high tourist attraction BUT only for those who speak and read French?? That’s unfortunate because it could be a beautiful place!?! I was NOT the only one to complain about this in my short time there. We went on the train ride and the tour guide only spoke in French so we did not get the full experience of the tour that I paid extra for and in full? All signs and history/info boards were in French!?! Must be French or bilingual to go here be aware.
The "new" bracelets are cool and easy to get off, but cuts like knife. My 2 year old has a cut on his chest/armpit because of it. Paper cut is not fun for anyone. Pic later when munchkin wakes up.
Went on a very busy day. The main parking lot was full by 30 min after opening. The overflow parking lot is a 5 min drive away and they run shuttles to and from all day. So, on a busy day, either get there before 10 am or pay the $8 in advance for a reserved spot at the main lot. The park itself is great. Alot of walking. There are 3 rides that require you to pay extra (the monorail ride around the park), a small pirate ship swing ride and a small rollercoaster. Not sure it's worth the extra money. The water park is first class. The zoo part great as well (don't miss out on feeding the birds and the stingrays). Warning: the main road in front of the main gate is VERY congested and very slow at around opening. Build in at least an extra 10-20 minutes for the final 1/2 km drive.
We loved our day here. Parking was a bit of a issue but when i fanaly understood that they had multiple areas, it was great. Pool area was clean and fun. Animals look healthy and ample space to move around.
Very nice zoo! I get to see black swan the first time in my life!! I don't suggest to visit the zoo in may thou, many places are still closed, including ice cream shops.
Nice zoo and waterpark. Great for family with kids!
I think it's good for the awakening of children but personally I did not like because the spaces dedicated to the animals are really small I'm not veterinarian neither a professional for animal but when you see the 3/4 inactive animals or sleepy all day you can clearly feel their distress I saw a snake in a space of about 20 centimeters deep and 1 meter high and thé Lyon Space is indescribable I think than sincerely that the zoo's pool is worth it but go watch the animals it's honestly heart braeking i would not go there twice
We had a great time at the zoo and the water park
What a great place! Kids had a great time but the prices are high for admission and food and due to hours it's impossible to see the whole park in 1 visit.
I absolutely love this place, it's perfect for kids! We never get bored of going there, definitely recommend!
Great time..awsome place
Amazing only did 1/4 of the zoo can't wait to go back
Excellent. Beautiful place, well organized. Family had a blast
Animals belong to the jungles not incarcerated. The big cats are pacing...sign of stress... sad
Great family outing! Hand sanitizers everywhere which was an extra bonus
Great place to see animals from all around the world. Lovely place for families.
What a great place for a family adventure. Groounds are very well maintained and very well layed out to provide an engaging visit. Extremely happy that you are allowed to bring in a picnic, and plenty of places to eat amongst the exhibits. Everything from the snacks to the souvenir shop were very well priced. We can hardly wait to head back next year
First time visiting here on our annual summer week in Québec. We went for the 2 day family pass, and had an amazing time. The 2 days allowed us to take our time around the park, and gave plenty of time as well for cooling off at the Amazoo. My 4 year old especially loved the Dinozoo. We'll definitely come back!
Loved it. It changed so much since the last time I saw it and for the better. You can really tell there's lots of effort that went into taking better care of the animals. The site is clean and there's so much to see and to learn!
happy I had a free entry would never pay to go to this zoo or any zoo all animals should be free and every animal enclosure was way to small and either the animal was alone or had to many other animals. Very dissatisfied and came out of the zoo feeling depressed, you could feel that it was so wrong and that every single animal was so depressed and looked dead and hopeless. All big animals were sleeping because there was nothing else to do than stare at a cement wall. Hopefully parents don't bring there kids and make them realize every animal should be set free. #closeallzoos
Nice place to spend some time. Can get very close view of animals from all the continents. Aerial train ride was fun
