(Translated) We had prepared to visit the Miller zoo, and it is with joy that we left Brossard, direction Lévis to the hotel and Normandin suites (which supposedly) were near the zoo !!! Another big hour to get to the zoo. We had already driven 4 hours to get to the hotel (congestion) but that is not the Zoo's fault. Okay, so we arrive at our hotel at half past two, we leave our luggage in our room and immediately head back to the Zoo, we could have waited for the next day, since we had rented the room for one night, but the forecast The weather forecast announced rain for the next day, we hadn't made this trip for nothing (that's not the zoo's fault either). So a big hour later, we are finally here. Well believe it or not we did not visit the Zoo ... Why ???? We had to park our car almost a kilometer from the zoo and do it this almost kilometer on foot, no shuttle available, because not enough people, (according to visitors who returned on foot from their visits). The zoo closes at 5 am so, at 3:45 am we turned back, towards our hotel, could we have returned the next day if the temperature allowed it, NO !!! I would have liked to know this detail (no shuttle, when there are not enough people). I am asthmatic (that is not the zoo's fault), but not having been aware of this fact, well that is the responsibility of the zoo! I will continue to watch the show which I love very much, but I am completely disappointed with my trip. Encore une grosse heure pour se rendre au zoo. Déjà qu'on venait de faire 4 heures de route, pour se rendre à l'hôtel (congestion) mais ça ce n’est pas la faute du Zoo. Bon, donc on arrive à notre hôtel à 2h et demi, on laisse nos bagages à notre chambre et on repart immédiatement vers le Zoo, on aurait pu attendre le lendemain, vu qu'on avait loué la chambre pour une nuitée, mais les prévisions de la météo annonçaient de la pluie pour le lendemain, on n’avait pas fait ce voyage pour rien (ça non plus ce n'est pas la faute du zoo). Donc une grosse heure plus tard, nous voilà enfin arrivées. Et bien croyez le ou non on n'a pas visité le Zoo...Pourquoi???? On devait stationner notre auto à presque un kilomètre du zoo et le faire ce presque kilomètre à pied, pas de navette de disponible, car pas assez de monde, (selon les visiteurs qui revenait à pied de leurs visites). Le zoo ferme à 5h donc, à 3h et 45 on à rebroussé chemin, vers notre hôtel, aurions- nous pu retourner le lendemain si la température le permettait, NON!!! J'aurais aimé savoir ce détail (pas de navette, quand il n'y a pas assez de monde). Je suis asthmatique (ça, ce n'est pas la faute du zoo), mais de ne pas avoir été au courant de ce fait, et bien ça c'est de la responsabilité du zoo! Je vais continuer à regarder l'émission que j'aime beaucoup, mais je suis complètement déçue de mon voyage.

Very friendly, welcoming zoo with close contact with nature Went there with a friend, had barely heard about which is a shame, the place is great! Price is very very fair, the animal variety is nice and during winter you can go in the enclosures! Would definitely recommend, but bring a pic-nic! They do have a small gift shop with chocolate bars and drinks but nothing else Very family friendly, nice "home-made" feel and the animals are adorable and they look comfortable

They do not refuse anyone at the door and it is impossible to reserve the time of visit, which creates a monster traffic. Mais ça promet par contre. Au niveau mesures sanitaires on repassera. Il y a des pancartes partout nous disant de garder une distance de 2m mais il y a TELLEMENT de monde que c'est absolument impossible. Ils ne refusent personne à la porte et il est impossible de réserver l'heure de visite, ce qui créer un achalandage monstre. Nous avons aussi vu beaucoup d'employés ne portant pas le masque ou le portant de façon inadéquate.

Amazing amazing. I have to say it is such a beautiful and a peaceful place. You can spend as much time as you want watching animals. I have to say if anybody plans on going - PLEASE GO IN THE MORNING OR NOON. If you go too late the animals most likely go to sleep in there sheds and you won’t be able to see them. A jail for animals. Small enclosures. The animals were either anxious, despondent, bored, or resigned to being behind in cages. The adult bear seemed to have an injury to his paw and was clearly distressed. The lynx paced back and forth his meager pen. All the while, another generation of children look upon this scene as one of acceptance, excitement and normalcy as parents point and exclaim...’Regarde le Loup! Regarde l’ourse! Le Tigre! Wow! You’d like to see a Lion? Go to Africa. Can’t afford it? Sell some stuff. I expected large open areas for the animals in this area of Quebec, with an attempt to recreate the various animals habitat. The conditions were the opposite. I believe we as Canadians and western civilization inclusive, are backwards and behind in our perceptions and actions with respects to the treatment of the other species we share this planet with. I am all for children experiencing animals native to ones country in an environment which accommodates the animals in their natural circumstance. In this case, the farm animals seemed comfortable and ok. The others not native to Canada or wild in Canada, should not be there. They should not be placed in a circumstance that is not their natural element. Save your money and time. Visit a real farm or save up for a real trip to see the animals around you in their natural environment.

Great zoo but not a lot of to see compared to big zoo’s. What they’re doing however is incredible, they don’t buy animals, they rescue and take in abandoned/hurt/retired/unwanted animals. The Experience is good, Pleasant and definitely worth it! And when you pay to go to there you are spending money to go to a place that’ll take care of the animals properly and love them above all. Seriously a hidden treasure on the south shore of Quebec I just wish more people knew about them and the amazing effort they put in each day!

On the other hand, the whole customer experience is to be reviewed and quickly! We went on a Wednesday afternoon and were surprised at the astronomical amount of people there. We had a hard time getting around with our kids and everyone was stuck tight despite the covid. We saw very few animals since there was always a crowd in front of the enclosures (it was worse during snacks). There was a line of madmen to enter to see birds and reptiles and some people did not hesitate to touch certain animals. I was really uncomfortable seeing people being so intrusive. In short, we had a 2h30 drive to leave after 1h30 because we found our experience aggressive with everyone. I can't imagine what the zoo looks like on the weekend. In any case, we will unfortunately not return for the little that we could see. (Original) Au niveau des animaux et des installations, je n'ai rien à dire ! Bref, nous avons fait 2h30 de route pour repartir au bout de 1h30 parce que nous trouvions notre expérience agressante avec tout ce monde. Je n'ose imaginer de quoi le zoo à l'air la fin de semaine. Dans tous les cas, nous ne reviendrons malheureusement pas pour le peu que nous avons pu voir.

Good but can be better. I visited with my family and another family. We had a good time in the Zoo. It is not very big as we took about 3 hrs to walk leisurely around the park with decent stops at almost all of the exhibits. The train is a short ride of about 12 mins that takes you around the park. We paid 6$ per person (aged 3 & above). The driver of the train was fun and did give a good live commentary about the exhibits. Now coming to the most important part, the exhibits, the animal collection is small compared to some other Zoos I have been to but is decent. Also, I think the experiences such as butterfly, bird enclosures or amphibious animals can be added. That being said, the Mesozoic exhibit with animatronic dinosaurs is really good. So, don’t miss it ????

We arrived around 11 am and many of the animals were napping in shady areas of their enclosures around that time and were hard to see. We did stick around for the better part of the day and later in the afternoon we saw much more of them out and about then. They also have a cute little dinosaur animatronic exhibit that my 1 yr old really enjoyed! There is a lot of walking so you should wear good quality shoes and your shoes will get quite dusty so bring some you can afford to get a little dirty. Very accessible for strollers and a very baby/Toddler friendly environment. There are playgrounds and picnic tables all over. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Great for hanging out with your little ones for a few hours! Overall wonderful family experience.

So in that sense, the zoo is fine. We went on a nice Saturday in August around 11am after several rainy days, so we were expecting a rush. Although there were actually a lot of people, everything went well. The wait for the shuttle was less than 10 minutes. As for the waiting for the dry toilets, there were at least thirty scattered on the site, including about twenty near picnics tables. So that was not a problem for us at all (contrary to other comments). In our case, the wait at the box office was almost non-existent. The site is rather rural but it gives it a certain charm. There is a playground for toddlers if you need to change their minds. The diversity of animals is good, at least enough to make a nice family outing. During our visit, there were animals that were quite exotic like zebus, kangaroos, lions, tigers, wolves, monkeys, moose, black bears, kodiaks, etc. In short enough to satisfy us. Obviously, the items in the souvenir shop are a bit expensive but you have to see this as a form of financing. The zoo is not near major urban centers but it allows to visit a new region. I advise to take it relax and fill the eyes of the beautiful landscapes of Beauce. Donc en ce sens, le zoo est très bien. Nous sommes allés un beau samedi d'Août vers 11h00 après plusieurs jours de pluie, donc nous nous attendions à une cohue. Bien qu'il y avait effectivement passablement de monde, tout s'est bien passé. L'attente pour la navette a été moins de 10 minutes. Quant à l'attente pour les toilettes sèches, il y en avait au moins une trentaine dispersées sur le site, dont une vingtaine près des tables à picnics. Ainsi donc ça n'a pas été du tout un problème pour nous (contrairement à ce qui a été mentionné par d'autres commentaires). Dans notre cas, l'attente à la billetterie a été presque inexistante. Le site est plutôt champêtre mais ça lui donne un certain charme. Il y a un terrain de jeu pour les touts petits si vous avez besoin de leur changer les idées. La diversité d'animaux est bien, en tout cas assez pour faire une belle sortie en famille. Lors de notre visite, il y avait des animaux quand même assez exotiques comme des zébus, des kangourous, des lions, des tigres, des loups, des singes, un orignal, des ours noirs, des kodiaks, etc. Bref assez pour nous contenter. Évidemment, les articles de la boutique souvenir sont un peu chers mais il faut voir ça comme une forme de financement. Le zoo n'est pas près des grands centres urbains mais ça permet de visiter une nouvelle région. Je conseille donc de prendre ça relaxe et de se remplir les yeux des beaux paysages de la Beauce.

Le site était bondé de gens collés les un sur les autres. Les employés du stationnement criaient après les clients. La file d’attente était inimaginablement longue (conseil: achetez vos billets en ligne et trouver la personne qui s’occupe de vous remettre les bracelet). Nous avions de la misère à voir les animaux tellement il y avait du monde. Bref, j’imagine que le zoo a grossi trop vite et qu’ils amélioreront la situation mais aujourd’hui j’ai été déçue de ma visite. À revoir mais en basse saison.

First, more than 2 hours of waiting to enter: 1h20 for the shuttle (filled to capacity) from the overflow parking lot and 45 minutes once on the other side for the ticket office. We did get there relatively early. It was crowded and the lines continued once we entered! No chance of finding a table to eat. We had to eat standing up in the end. No respect for health measures both in terms of distancing and wearing a mask. Do not look for a sanitary block, there is none. The dry toilet was overflowing and no sink for washing hands. No changing tables for children in diapers either, so parents changed them on the picnic tables (yum-yum!). We will not be going back, even the kids were disappointed. Aucun respect des mesures sanitaires tant au niveau de la distanciation que du port du masque. Ne cherchez pas de bloc sanitaire il n'y en a pas. Les toilettes sèches débordaient et pas de lavabo pour se laver les mains. Pas de tables à langer non plus pour les enfants aux couches, donc les parents les changeaient sur les tables à pique-nique (miam-miam!). Nous n'y retournerons pas, même les enfants ont été déçus.

Nous comprenons qu'ils veulent maximiser les revenus pendant l'été, mais il ne faudrait pas perdre non plus de vue l'expérience que vit la clientèle et les animaux pendant cette période. Comme c'est à 4 heures de chez nous, pas certain que nous réitérions l'expérience, mais nous souhaitons que vous ayez une meilleure expérience que nous avons eu, car n'en demeure pas moins que le but de ce zoo est louable et que les propriétaires ont beaucoup de bonne volonté. I reallylove that you can bring your own bike and bike trailer or whatever setup you need for you and your family or friends. Got a seasons pass and my kid enjoys the large variety of animals. It's always the same but different, in that the animals are doing different things or in different places. The cougar was freaking me.out; the way it follows my child with its eyes... gets into an aggressive, I may pounce stance. My child is oblivious to this and squeals in delight at the attention. I can't help but feel a deep sorrow at these beautiful animals in captivity. There to amuse the humans. I love to see them but feel Sick at myself for supporting anything alive being stuck in a cage. I like that animals that have been hurt and can't go back to the wild have a place there but there's no way all the animals came to the zoo in such a way. Anyways, the zoo is good and the zoo is bad. A nice place to spend an afternoon. The zoo is unlike many others in that they take in hurt, unwanted, abandoned animals rather than purchase animals. Price has gone up a bit since I last went but they have also expanded a bit and seem to be doing renovations/additions. Worth going to visit, an enjoyable experience overall.

That was a great experience for my family. Our 2 years old girl enjoyed seeing animals in real world. We went on a weekday afternoon. It wasn’t very busy. Lots of parking, no line ups, no crowds. The two sections in all (zoo and the wild reserve part) we took about 4 hours with a stop at the pizzeria for dinner and baby drink. The food is excellent there. We took the time to look at each enclosure as well as a few snacks. It is preferable to go there when the temperature is pleasant because for our part it was 28 degrees and many animals had taken refuge in the shade so impossible to see. The negative point is the lack of directions once parked. We wanted to start with the restaurant but it took nearly 2 hours to find it. We headed for the wilderness reserve, then we had to find out where to go to get to the "exotic" section. We were not the only ones elsewhere. We had a map of the places which is not very representative so still finding ourselves there was chaotic. I believe changes have been made to the enclosures but not to the map hence the confusion. The distance between the two areas is about 1km, a shuttle is available but small so for the stroller it is not appropriate. It is all the same well on foot. It is not extravagant, however it allows us to see several different species of animals as well as a few birds. A great outing to do with the family as long as you have proper shoes, have good water reserves and ensure transport (stroller or trolley) because it can be long and painful for a child who is tired and hungry. (Original) Bonne expérience dans l'ensemble. Nous étions 2 adultes, 1 enfant de 3 ans et un bébé. Les deux sections en tout (zoo et la partie réserve sauvage) nous on prit environ 4h avec un arrêt à la pizzeria pour dîner et faire boire bébé. La nourriture y est excellente d'ailleurs. Nous avons pris le temps de regarder chaque enclos ainsique quelques collations. Il est préférable d'y aller lorsque la température est agréable car pour notre part il faisait 28 degré et beaucoup d'animaux s'étaient réfugiés à l'ombre donc impossible à voir. Le point négatif est le manque d'indications une fois stationné. Nous voulions commencé par le restaurant mais on a mis près de 2h à le trouver On s'est dirigé vers la réserve sauvage, puis il a fallu s'informer pour savoir par où aller pour se rendre à la section "exotique". Nous n'étions pas les seuls d'ailleurs. Nous avions une carte des lieux qui n'est pas très représentative donc encore là se retrouver était cahotique. Je crois que des changements ont été apportés dans les enclos mais pas sur la carte d'où la confusion. La distance entre les deux zone est d'environ 1km, une navette est à disposition mais petite donc pour la poussette c'est peu approprié. Ça se fait tout de même bien à pied. Ce n'est pas extravagant, cependant ça nous permet de voir plusieurs espèces d'animaux différents ainsi que quelques oiseaux. Une belle sortie à faire en famille à condition d'être biem chaussé, d'avoir de bonnes réserves d'eau et de s'assurer d'un transport (poussette ou chariot) car ça peut être long et pénible pour un enfant qui se fatigue et qui a faim.

En ce qui concerne la distanciation sociale et bien les gens sont insouciants et irrespectueux! Peu de gens ont un masque et majorité, même avec de jeune enfant ne la respecte pas. Petit conseil arriver tôt, dès l’ouverture nous étions quasiment seul et nous avons pu voir tous les animaux sans exception durant 2h. Lorsque nous avons voulu retourner voir certaines espèces, et bien ke parc était plein... j’y retourne l’année prochaine assurément.

Nice way to spend an hour. We were able to see animals from around the world. Extremely busy when we went but somehow everything ran fairly smooth. The park seems understaffed. Some people have to park on the side roads outside the main parking as there is not enough room up close to the main kiosk/ entrance. This causes some confusion and perhaps safety concerns as there is not a lot of room for the pedestrians. Some of the animals show signs of captivity trauma; however, if the storyboards are to be believed, most of these guys are better off here than in the wild IMHO.

I know that there are ethical questions about visiting a zoo, but I’m not going to address those here. I’m just going to give my take on the zoo and it’s facilities and services. First off, the zoo is about and hour away from Vancouver and if there is traffic on the highway, it could be much more coming or going, so plan accordingly. The front of the zoo itself has really been updated if you haven’t been in a while. You can buy tickets online, there is a nice big parking lot (pay parking) with a beautiful ticket booth/entry and a nice concession stand and gift shop. Even the washrooms were nice and clean when we went. The rest of the zoo will look familiar if it’s been a while since you’ve been. The exhibits are older and quite natural and the pathways around are surprisingly narrow once it starts to get busy. For a local comparison, the infrastructure for the animals is nowhere near as nice as the Woodland Park Zoo (Seattle). There is a good range of animals to see and it will be exciting for the kids when they get a chance to see real tigers, lions, bears, hippos, giraffes, zebras, etc. They have also added a dinosaur section with animatronic dinosaurs and an entry gate that resembles Jurassic Park. I would also suggest riding the train as it’s a good way to see the whole zoo and get some information. The quad bikes are fun, but they do require a lot of effort, especially at the end when you have to go up one final hill. If you want to save some money, they also encourage you to bring your own bikes or scooters to get around a little more easily. Once you’re done at the zoo, it’s a good chance to do some of the circle farm tours and visit the wineries, farms, and restaurants that can be found throughout the Fraser Valley.

The intervention of the police was necessary to make the traffic that day there. I was told it was exceptional, but it was my first time there so I cannot confirm what the employees are saying. This is the only big downside of my day, the next time I will go in less busy period. (Original) Pour ce qui est du zoo lui-même, rien de négatif à dire, la proximité avec les animaux est bonne, c'est bien aménagé, la superficie n'est pas trop grande et c'est facilement praticable avec de jeunes enfants. Il y a un service de restauration et plusieurs tables pour accueillir le gens. Le gros problème c'est l'accès au stationnement du zoo (j'y suis allé pendant les vacances de la construction, fin juillet). J'ai attendu environ 2 heures avant de pouvoir me stationner, la file faisait environ 3 km. Il y a un service de navette pour transporter les gens du stationnement au zoo, mais c'est +/- efficace car il doivent circuler à sens inverse dans un chemin de bois pour revenir chercher d'autres gens au stationnement et tombe face à face avec des voitures qui on décide de rebrousser chemin, ça devient rapidement bordélique, sans compter les gens qui décident de faire le trajet à pied au travers des véhicules pour se rendre au zoo. L'intervention de la police a été nécessaire pour faire la circulation cette journée là. On m'a dit que c'était exceptionnel, mais c'était la première fois que j'y allais donc je ne peux pas confirmer les dires des employés. C'est le seul gros bémol de ma journée, la prochaine fois j'irai en période moins achalandé.

Bravo à toute l'équipe vous faites un excellent travail. Cependant nous avons eu le droit à une mauvaise surprise en revenant à la voiture. Un véhicule à arraché les poteaux bois et la corde qui séparait les stationnements. Résultat, notre véhicule neuf de 3 semaines à peine, a été endommagé. Rien à voir avec l'équipe Miller. Nous recommandons cependant de mettre les cordes plus visible pour que ce genre d'incident soit évité. Date de visite 26 juin 2021 Merci
