You will be able to see all the feddbacks of people like you who buy the services of Magnetic Hill Zoo (Zoo) in Argentia (Canada).
Nowadays the firm has a score of 4.6 stars over 5 and that score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is practically the highest, and it's founded on a very large number of opinions, so we may conclude that the score is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their score when they are pleased, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to give feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Zoo belongs to the category of Zoo.
Many animals and huge playground
The zoo was well set up for covid with a very clear path throughout. It's clean and well maintained.
We went yesterday, along with our 2 certified therapy dogs (15 lbs each)! We had a guide as they wanted to make sure the animals did not get upset.(theirs and ours). It was such a Great experience! Valerie, our wonderful guide) was extremely knowledgeable and answered our endless questions. Her love for the animals was clear, talking to them all by name! She allowed us enough time and did not rush us. She made the day for us. The Zoo was extremely clean, well maintained and beautiful. As we walked, we felt we were in their natural habitat. The different types of animals were so interesting. I can't pick a favorite! I would recommend this to anyone. We went back to our hotel and told them to tell visitors how great the Zoo is.
Place was amazing, the animals seem to be very well taken care of. If you're looking to see all the animals try to not go during a rainy day. Good place to go for a half day.
Entry building was disgusting. You could smell the bathrooms as soon as you walked through the front door. Just disgusting! However the Zoo (my first time to this one) was okay. They animals don't have near enough room...but a nice place to take the family.
Amazing place to go I loved it there went there last summer while driving from Halifax to go back to NL this Zoo is really beautiful and lots of animals to see I wanna go back again
Been there several times over many year. The recent renovations really focus on providing safe, healthy enclosures for the animals. #respect
Good enclosures, many of the animals seem very happy and comfortable. All are born in captivity so it does not disturb the wild populations. Only issue was the lack of sidewalks down magnetic hill, and without the bus going down it anymore it's an exhausting hike and dangerous with oncoming cars.
A nice walk through the maintained trails with many animals to see and discuss.
Everytime I come here half the exhibits are closed . I specificly went to see the baby tigers and they didn't even open til door and I was there from opening till lunch . If u want to see barn animals go to a farm not this place .
Very nice zoo with very nice enclosures. Animals seem well cared for and the staff are very helpful and friendly. It's also a very affordable family outing.
A great place to bring the kids and learn about a large variety of animals. There's even a thoroughly awesome playground in the middle, for a break from walking around. Dropping a star because the zoo really needs low-season pricing: paying full price when half the displays are closed is a ripoff, so I definitely wouldn't recommend going in the spring and fall.
The zoo has come a long way from where it was when I was a kid (early 90's). It's very nice with lots of great exhibits. Like any typical attraction, it's expensive.
Awesome!! Great for families, we really enjoyed ourselves
Surprisingly no tiger. Black panther was stunning to see
Love the new Arctic fox exhibit! Great zoo overall. Animals look healthy and well cared for & have a fair amount of space.
Will definitely come back. Had so much fun seeing all the animals
Nice zoo, some enclosures a little small. Clean and a good selection of animals. Not a bad price to get in.
We had an amazing family outing to the zoo! Excellent experience!
Lots of animals!!! A huge playground!! Food truck!! Lots of shade and seating!!!
Nice medium size zoo. Great for the family. About 2 hour visit.
Had a great time
We went this weekend with the new COVID regulations. Bought our tickets online in advance and were pleased with the measures in place for our safety.
The lights at the zoo were pleasantly entertaining. They guided you through all the exhibits and the light animals sometimes corresponded to what animals are in that area in the summer. At least that's what I was told by the others near me. There were other lights animals alomg the walkways such as wolves, moose, and a rhino. All very well laid out. You could also view some live animals. The Reindeer was out, and a big black cat. You could also go inside one of the buildings where we found a couple snakes, Meerkats, turtles, and two species of monkeys. All in all it was a good walk. Some of the large light animals make for great photo opportunities. The light tunnel and the decorated red barn also seemed to be popular photo opportunities.
Small but really cozy place, there're lots of animals in really good condition. I liked this place.
Came to the zoo when just moved to the city. Love it here. Animals are kept in large habitats, so it must be enjoyable for them. Can return and enjoy the place. Protip: the further away from the entry you go, the more boring it gets.
I have been to several world class zoos around the world. I really enjoyed this zoo but don't expect it to be at the level of San Deigo for example. I found the exhibits to be well done and had good experiences. Around 11-12 it seemed that the animals were being feed which resulted in seeing some really interesting behaviors and activities that I had not see before. Overall, I really came to like this small zoo and would recommend checking out our while on moncton.
We went to the Magnetic Hill Zoo in September, and loved it! It's not as amazing as the San Diego Zoo or bigger ones like that, but it does the job for a smaller city. Animals were both adorable and unique. A bunch of different kinds. If anything, avoid the little hut where the "reptiles" are kept. It stinks in there! And there's not much to see.
Kid love this place. Lots of animals.
Lots of animals, some of them were asleep but what can you do. Very nice experience.
Holiday lights was great with kids.
Great time of year to go as animals stay outside longer so you get to see most of them. If you have kids plan an extra hour for the play park. They will not want to leave that fun place. Good times with the kids
I loved the zoo but I haven't been here in years! I need to come back.
Cool. There are lots of animals. Just go in the spring or summer because some animals were somewhere else hidden :)
Beautiful small zoo, with a ton of animals in beautiful enclosures
It nice and clean. Got to see 3 cute tiger cubs. Seeing the baboon by himself bothered me since it's a social animal. It was fun feeding the ducks and swans. The petting zoo goats were too aggressive
This is a very nice zoo. I can remember bringing my granddaughter Elizabeth here when she was a child. Unfortunately my granddaughter Elizabeth is now in prison after making some very bad life decisions. I wish I could bring my grandson Zander here sometime, but I'm worried about bringing him to a zoo as he often says he wishes he could be eaten by a pack of stray dogs. I don't know if this is a normal expression for kids these days.
Zoo has ample parking and admission price makes this a good value for families. The zoo is well layed out and easy to navigate. Some of the enclosures are showing their age are overall well kept and maintained. The grounds and common areas are clean and tidy. There was a good variety of animals to see and also a large playground for kids. Our family enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.
I loved it! My little one was very fascinated with feeding the goats and she loved the only ride so much she wanted to stay on. The pony ride is $7. This was my first time to a zoo and I was in awe of the animals the actually had there. We did spend 2 hours there for sure. It's a great place for all. We would even go again!
Great zoo and beautiful animal's but once you're in there they could have just let you go whichever way you want instead of everyone going the same way as that made for a lot of congestion. I understand covid but even pre-covid it was never that congested with people going opposite ways
Amazing place I fed the squirrel monkeys some random Berry's I found lying around 10/10
Very fun :)
Awesome experience to be had here. Being able to see spider monkeys so up close is awe inspiring. Being able to see the mighty mountain lion so close and an Ariel view of the lion's. Spectacular!
Nice but very Expensive
Excellent zoo for small kids. Not too much walking and you get nice and close to the animals.
always had fun with my family here
Great place for kids to see animals from around the world in a nicely kayed out walking tour.
Love going to this zoo. Love seeing the animals and the kids really enjoy the playground there.
Lots of fun for kids and grown ups
Great place for kids. Every Halloween they host a special event called boo at the zoo, the kids dresses up and theirs extra activities.
Really enjoy the zoo, I am so happy for the animals there, they have a good place to live compare to other zoo I visited, very close to nature. the zoo ground is very large, if you want to take a close look, one day is not enough, I will come back very soon.
I enjoyed the zoo, but it was a little to warm and alot of the animals were hiding from the sun.
Got to love animals
Good selection of animals. All seem very well cared for. Staff (Zoo keepers Friendly)
Amazing as always. A world class zoo!
Not enough signs for the animals. Very interesting to see the monkeys being fed and listen to the monkeys' singing.
Great family zoo. Lots to see.
Just a heads up: the zoo at this time (April 2021) isn’t fully functional and many animals are not in display. Nice place for a walk, specially when you’re considering taking the kids for some nature-time. Not a whole lot compared to big city zoos, but good enough for the 9$ we paid for adult entrance. I will definitely come back many times.
Amazing zoo, we loved it! The animal enclosures are very well done. Everything else that you will want to do is close by as well, like Magic Mountain and much more!
Baby tigers are out yet for viewing but the baby zebra and the baby orangutan so cute it's amazing. I only deducted a star cuz I really wanted to see the baby tigers
It was an interesting experience. I wish they would allow you to try with a ball on foot as well.
Really nice zoo, I love how the exhibits have creeks and ponds, and all very natural with the foliage. Compared to the Toronto Zoo which has concrete everywhere and really large distance between you and the animals. I wish folks and their kids would not taunt the animals, especially the tigers, lions and panthers!
It was hot ???? and humid but despite the day was a blast. Interesting animals with a slightly north American tilt rat was quite pleasant. The bears deer and cougars were great. And who doesn't love a wolf?
Always a good time.
Lots of animals to see. Very nice.
Adding more animals! It wasn't packed, cheap pony rides. Ugh love it here.
Adding more animals! It wasn't packed, cheap pony rides. Ugh love it here.
Zoo was amazing. We even did the winter walk through on boxing day last year. Was nice, with a fire going and hot chocolate
Great zoo. Team seems to take great care of animals. I expected the zoo to be cheesy but it's definitely legit. Great viewing for the kids. Big enclosures for the big cats too. Overall recommended!
We took our 3-year-old and 18-month-old, and opted to rent a two-seat push cart at the zoo. It made things easier for us. We were there over two hours having fun!
Great place for the family for the day
The kids always love it
We had a really nice winter evening walk with the snow gently falling at the Magnetic Hill Zoo. They put up a very nice Christmas light display.
Alot of animal. Clean place. Good staff
I visited magnetic hill zoo this summer with my friends. It was fun .It was really worth to visit .Clean environment and a well maintained zoo .Lot of animals. We Captured some beautiful pictures from there. You need to spend some time there .it will be more fun if you go there as group .You will see the detailed description of the animals there.
It's is the best thing in the world!
Spacious and clean. All of the enclosures looked well maintained and suitable for the animals. We were lucky enough to be there when the big cats were super active. That's not something the zoo has control over lol
Bigger than I expected! Good prices. Animals seem to be kept in good conditions as well :)
Its better than the one in Saint John. Like, way better.
The animals seem happy (they were playful and active) and the trails are lovely. I think some habitats would need a bit more shade however. There are a lot of activities for children, is accessible and has a lot of restrooms and benches.
It is okay for one time visit. No something that should be in your must visit place list. Just takes 10 min to complete the place.
Is a Great zoo to bring your family to.
The lights were beautiful
What a great zoo! A very good variety of Animals from all over the world. Watch out for the tigers!
Went with my wife to see the Wild Lights. It was very entertaining and the weather couldn't have been better. The lights are all done very professionally and look great. We walked around a little at first and then we stopped by the food truck and purchase some hot chocolate with marshmallows and enjoyed it by the open fire. It was very peaceful and romantic. There were a lot of children there running and playing in the snow, I would recommend dressing for the occasion if you are going with kids. Overall, we had a nice time. We were hoping to see more animals from the zoo though. We saw some jaguars, a couple of white tailed deer and a couple of cougars but that was all that was outside. There were marmosets and some pythons inside the amphibian area. Although we were really hoping to see some bears. I guess we will have to come back in the summer to get the full zoo experience. This is really just for the lights, I wouldn't come in the winter if you're expecting to see lots of wildlife.
ECOfest/Ecofete today at Magnetic Hill Zoo. Beautiful weather, happy people, information booths re ecology & environment
The day was very windy and cold so a number of the animals went into their homes. We didn't get to see them especially the monkeys. It would be good to name some of the trees to. But it was a good zoo to visit.
Had a great time with my daughter and gf.
I have been there so many times, but it is not boring at all. They seem that they have new animals every time, I go.
Still a family favorite destination.
Wonderful place for a family visit, lots of animals to see.
Nice,
Amazing
Great zoo with lots of animals to see. Takes about 2 hours to do a good loop while stopping to look at everything.
A wonderful experience. Wild Lights is definitely a must see.
We loved the lights at night!! So much to see & my little girl loved it :D
Good place to have fun and enjoy with family
This place is my happy place ! Good clean environment and lots of different animals too see ????
Magnetic Hill zoo is a must see if you ever visit Moncton New Brunswick!
Bathrooms need expanded and updated. Also animals need bigger enclosures. My cousins little guy loved it. Other than the 2 issues above it was a great trip and walk around.
The zoo is very well maintained and the animals can be viewed clearly
Awesome place for kids .. family.. or even a first date to walk ... to see them beautiful animals lights in the winter .
Zoo had a good assortment of animals. Could have some yard work done, some animals you couldn't see do to the grass and weeds growing out of control in front of the cages
Went to wild lights. It wasn't as good as last year. But still fun
Had my sons birthday party here, would highly recommend it! Adam was our host/guide and he was awesome with the kids and bilingual. All kids had a blast and it was educational as well. Good job!
A very nice zoo. Quite large with a good variety of animals. We make a point to go each time we are in Moncton.
We went in the morning and were very pleased with how active the animals were. We lucked into seeing several of the animals get fed, which was exciting, and the tigers and Gibbons put on spectacular impromptu shows. It's no big city zoo, but as you can see everything in a few hours without rushing, it's especially great for younger kids. Our two year old had a great time.
Must visit place
The zoo is rather good for the size that it is. But trying to get ahold of them seems to be impossible. 7 calls in the past few days all to be sent to the voice-mail that doesn't accept messages. At the rate I'm going, it would be faster to send a carrier pigeon.
Visiting this area in winter is great since I was basically the only one in the zoo. Not all animals are out and some of the staff were working along the path, but I got to leisurely take my time and the animals that were out seemed interested in me. Small zoo but for the size, a wide selection of animals!
Brought my 3 kids ages 4, 7, 10 and we all had a great time. Even on a hot day we got to see almost all the animals exploring their habitats. Loved the way the Zoo was set up which made it easy to see everything. Even on our way out we had fun each picking an item from the cool giftshop items. Also lots of other things to do and see nearby.
Great place for people of all ages.
I always love the zoo, but this was my first time going to Wild Lights. There are not many animals out, but the lights are beautiful and the music really gets you into the Christmas spirit. It was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed it.
Great selection of animals to see and learn about! Very much worth a visit! Animals look happy and well taken care of by zoo staff.
Fun events for whole family year round :) boo at the zoo, month of December they have Christmas lights all lit up (so pretty)♡♡♡ and much more :)
Wild lights were absolutely beautiful! Very festive and bright and well laid out. Some of the animals were out and about. The caribou were enjoying their Christmas tree! There was a lovely fire being tended to take a break by.
It was a amazing and awesome place to go for a zoo . Kids love that place alot .
I love all the animals. I've been here twice this year so far. On hot days, make sure you have water.
We go here every year for the light show. It's alot of fun for the kids. Always a fun visit! lots of walking so bring something to pull the kids!
A fairly impressive, well kept zoo, especially for the reasonable price for entry.
Excellent! Awesome attractions with the park kept up very nicely!
What a great place to visit . Will be going there again . Animals are more lively when its colder.
Super good for a smaller zoo. Actually have quite a few animals for a good price. Well worth a trip if you have the time. Perfect for kids as well, has a few petting areas and isn't too big so there is no worry that the kids will get bored. Well worth the money and experience.
Very accessible. Great for all ages, not just kids. animals are easy to see and a good variety. Most enclosures are good sizes and interactive. Covid regulations followed well. Awesome play park. Not much in the way of food. More benches would be appreciated. Friendly and helpful staff, most are students who really seem to like it there. Really nice zoo especially for the size of the city. Could be more interactive
Lots of animals
The zoo is a great place for families, and even a fun choice for a date. The Wild Lights are so beautiful during the winter months!
It's a great zoo. We travel there from saint John. Our kids love the play structure there and the tiger exhibit.
Interesting illusion but the really is just a u-shaped road. Still fun to experience.
Bathrooms are disgusting stink of urine and messy. Great zoo and lots of fun but the restroom needs serious work.
Had an absolute amazing experience, it was weird at first being the only ones there but then became such a blessing, I wanted to go for a second run around the zoo after I was done. Thanks so much!
Would definitely visit again!
Lots of animals to see and you can get really good up close views of many of them. Wonderful three story kids playground as well. The kids and parents all had a blast and it was relatively inexpensive.
Pretty nice and well kept.We loved to see the tiger been fed. There's a cantine and ice cream place too. Wish there was more bugs and fish to see.
Pretty nice and well kept.We loved to see the tiger been fed. There's a cantine and ice cream place too. Wish there was more bugs and fish to see.
Great zoo, good organization, recommend to go at feeding time around 2 pm
Great zoo, good organization, recommend to go at feeding time around 2 pm
You have to go see the 2018 Wild Lights - The Year of the Penquins at the Moncton Zoo...I dont know who was more excited...the adults or children!!!! Fantastic job!! Well done everyone!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
We love magnetic hill zoo as a family. Great day adventure! Lots of different animal to see. Horseback riding and face painting as well!
great time well spent for the family. the phoney rides was the highlight of the visit along with the petting farm
The lights at night at the zoo are very good for smaller children who are waiting for Santa very few animals are out but is a good walk
Some of the animals looks like they need to be set free in the wild , I could just imagine their thoughts let me go just need to be free
This is an awesome zoo. Kids love spending the day herr. Offers a huge play park and lots of different kids of animals.
Nice but the price is expensive a little bit
Daughter loved it and the little playground inside the route.
It's got great spots for biking (in distance), sights, staff, and ha, I think that I even heard some of the animals getting frisky the other day, and who doesn't like hearing love in a pandemic?
The animals seem happy (they were playful and active) and the trails are lovely. I think some habitats would need a bit more shade however. There are a lot of activities for children, is accessible and has a lot of restrooms and benches.
We had so much fun here! Loved the monkeys. Only complaint is the layout. Found the signs confusing and found we did a lot of back tracking to see all the exhibits.
The zoo is great. Also love their seasonal activities like Boo at the Zoo at Halloween and their Christmas lights display.
Love this zoo, the animals are in beautiful well kept enclosures. You can see them calm and well cared for. The set up is very well laid out and easy to walk through. It s wonderful place so peaceful and the artic wolves made my day so perfect.
Nice clean place. Lots of animals. Not to long of walk
Clean, animals are well taken care of. Staff are super friendly.
Great atmosphere and very friendly staff! I loved all the animals and the gift shop had awesome items with reasonable prices.
I'm not a big fan of zoos in general but you can tell that the employees at this Zoo care about the animals. The enclosures are constantly improving, everything is very clean and the animals all seem very well tended to. I think it's like a 2km walk through which is within a beautiful forested area. I totally recommend this as a must do if travelling through Moncton. *Ice cream shop and food also inside.
Really miss visiting her, it was always such a fun day
Awesome day with family grandchildren loved it and like the car strollers for the kids
Very well laid out with something for all to see. The wharf village is fun.
I love going its allot of fun for everyone. Just be careful if you feed the goats they go for the food disposal machine and eat the food before you can get it out hehehe.
Great winter lights walk about.
Definitely not enough space for some of these animals uper pricey food and questionable care that these animals get but admission is a good price and there's quite a bit to see great place for kids.
Love this zoo. The Christmas light show was amazing and the animals are always so cute.
This Christmas lights were very pretty
Lots of great animals to see, all seem very well taken care of and my toddler loved it!
Love this place
We visited for the 'Wild Lights' display that they have running for the Christmas season. Beautiful display of lighting. They even had a small fire to sit around to warm up.
Definitely a place to stop, I love that there shaded areas and the places are very well-marked there are public bathrooms along the way which makes it a lot easier when you have little ones. You can rent wagon/strollers to make it easier to go through the zoo. I also love that they have hands on petting that the children can interact with Some of the animals (goats, chicken, deer) they do have feeding stations where they Supply either corn or pellets to feed the animals they do cost money to use.
One of the Atlantic's best Zoo's and biggest. Lots of animals from tigers, lions, flamingos to Bears and an insect hit with a monkey area around the corner. The walkways are clean and easy to traverse that the young and old will have no issues. The displays are setup for the best viewing angles. Never a dull moment and easy to lose time in.
Great place to spend the day with your kids and learn about animals and educate them..
It's the zoo closest to our location, so the one we've travelled to the most. The kids enjoy it.
We go to the Wild Lights display annually and it is always a magical time for the whole family. Our daughter (8) and her best friend have a blast. This year was a significant improvement from last - more lights, better maintained (last year a lot were out), and we loved the musical light display at the barn area. We were also glad to see some animals were NOT out - specifically last year the panther was out and was visibly distressed being directly across from a loud music and moving light display. We also stop for a Beaver Tail - and was pleased to see the dining area well spaced out and sanitizing wipes available to clean tables. However the lines we congested without adequate space for distancing. Also noticed a lot of dropped masks and some refuse in the walkways. Wins - Light displays, affordability, playground, food and drink options, clean bathrooms, clear marking for walking and directions, and full evening of enjoyment.
It was ok, I loved that there was some woodland left intact to provide natural shade along the way. I was a little underwhelmed but how basic some if the enclosures were considering it was a zoo not a hobby farm. But a great way to get some fresh air and exercise. I'm sure over time they will continue to grow.
Great outing for kids young and old. A variety of wildlife to see, clean, good layout, and information sessions throughout the day to learn more about the animals at the zoo. There's a large play structure in the middle of the park for kids, and washroom facilities are nearby no matter what area of the zoo you are in. I wish there was at least one more food/take-out option in the zoo - both for variety (and preferably healthier options), but also because around noon, the wait is lengthy. TIP: Bring quarters (25 cent coins) if you want to feed the goats, deer, ducks, and alpaca's.
Ok for too small kids. Not a great place to hang out if too hot. Not much animals except a tiger, a panther and few domestic animals. Parking and food available. Entry fees too pricey for the size and type of zoo.
Magnetic Hill Zoo and surrounding attractions are a great place for family fun, date night, or even to go alone. Always friendly staff, good attractions, and plenty of interaction and evens ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Good experience taking our 2 year old son for the first time. It was in the Fall during the week and it was quiet hardly anyone around so it was nice.
Good variety of animals at the zoo only small complaint was the ticket kiosk was right inside the main door so it caused alot of congestion when trying to get in or out.
Loved it! The animals were all so sweet and my children loved it. Only thing I would recommend to others is to bring lots of water to drink. I spent over 20 on just water for family of 4. On a hot day there isn't much shade.
We take the kids to the zoo every summer and always have a great time.
What a lovely zoo, the lady who feeds the monkeys was lovely to talk to and it was so nice to see the animals looking happy. We will definitely be back. It was so quiet, there were only about 5 other people ❤
Well organized, interesting lineup of exotic animals including lions, tigers, monkeys, ostrich, snakes. A great petting zoo with goats. I think children love it here and gain a wonderful edu.
We get season passes every year. It's so nice to be able to just go take a walk in the zoo anytime. Love the new expansions / cat section. I like the new themes for the areas. Staff seemed well informed and take good care of animals.
Second visit, will go again :)
Nice and friendly staff
A lovely relaxing day with family. Very nice exhibits. Always something new.
Good covid distancing practices, few enough people around that we felt safe traversing the zoo. Zoo was as great as always!
Awesome zoo! Beautiful layout and easy to navigate with small children. Plenty of rest rooms.
The zoo is amazing, and has a nice walk. It's inexpensive (if you live close by get a season pass!).
Went during the week, early in the season and it was great. We were lucky to have a gorgeous day (not that the zoo had anything to do with that) and there was almost no one there. We had full reign of the zoo, it was inexpensive, and my kids had a good time.
Lion was the best to see of all
The winter lights display is beautiful. Hot chocolate available.
Ok for toddlers, nice employees.
The animals were all in there huts sleeping and cost 44 dollars for 2 adults a 5 year old and a 2 year old found that a bit high for what was out. But love the newness of the zoo
Fun family times there. Lion area is a lot of fun with a jeep that you can climb in and the lions can stand on the hood of it. Also a nice park for the kids to run off some energy too if need be.
A place for fun for kids.
Visited again after the first visit 4 years ago. Met more animals and enjoyed some upgraded facilities. Staffs are super friendly.
Simply amazing
Too small for a zoo with not enough reptiles or insects. I'm not the biggest fan of zoo's and the kids ended up more interested in the playground than anything else.
So much fun! The family had a great time. Very educational. Friendly staff. And good Veriaty of animals
Its a great place.
Great attractions, beautiful animals and exceptionally organized for during the pandemic!
I love this zoo, great place to walk through and see the animals!! Well maintained ,and clean!!
The Magnetic Hill Zoo located on the North end of Moncton, New Brunswick is an animal and nature lovers treat. With a relatively large selection of animals (especially wild cats) you will enjoy a good variety of animals over a few hours. There is a large playground located within the zoo for the kids to blow off some steam. This zoo also opens its doors in Winter for its annual Christmas Lights display, which is spectacular and very well put together. You can expect discounts on occasion (like Mother's Day) and season passes are also available for purchase. Bring a camera, water and your walking shoes and be ready for an enjoyable few hours.
I saw a tiger a cougar a panther an Arctic wolf aloyeah stuff a lion monkeys a big tortoise fed the ducks is that oh walked over 7000 steps
It was great :)
We had a great day with the kids! All the animals were out and the weather was nice! The play area was particularly appreciated! We got our tickets online, which we recommend.
a small zoo the impressive nice place for kid you can also bring people with wheelchair is not a problem -You will be able to see the animal from a reasonable distance -Restroom are clean -Large variety of animal -The animals seem happy and healthy -The cost for an adult is 15$ -the zoo is vary cleanI was impressed
the lights were amazing, definitely the best experience ive ever had, the tea was pretty good too
So well maintained and beautiful. Many variety of animals and very cool attractions. I loved it.
A lovely place and must visit ????☺
Beautiful animals great place nice people
So many animals good variety to look at
It was alright, hot humid day, animals where hot and not super active because of the heat. Not a huge amount of people when we visited, so we could get right up to the fence. Some of the animals looked pretty bummed out. walked the whole thing in 2hrs 15 mins, did not take the discovery tour as it would have been lost on my kids as they where rather young.
I'm glad the animals are doing well; although I am concerned over the caribou. The zoo lacked a bit of liveliness; even with all the pretty animals. I also think zoos in general should have a time limit for how long to harbor animals. A lifetime of confinement is just a short walk from cruel.
Great exhibits takes about 2 hours to go through everything
It was a light festival displaying the animals as you can see from the pics. Had a great time and would definitely visit there again.
By far one of the nicest zoos I've ever been to. So well laid out and the animals don't look all depressed.
Such a beautiful zoo!! All of the animals are well cared for and healthy. We thought we'd be in and out...three hours later!!!! Wonderful experience. Don't miss it if you get the chance.
What a great spot.. The zoo is well taken care of with a large variety of animals. The zoo is expanding again soon. Attached to the same area is magic mountain, wharf village and of course magnetic hill!
Just look... ????
My wife and I went, on a whim, while on vacation since we hadn’t been in years. We both grew up in Moncton so I think we kind of take it for granted. Oh boy were we happy we decided to go. It was actually a highlight of our week off. Could watch the little monkeys swing around for hours! With a lot of patience and some luck we also got to see the new tiger cubs! We can’t wait to go back again!
This was the first time in a while that I'd been to the zoo at a time other than during the lights at Christmas and I was super impressed with how many animals the zoo has these days! Admission is still a good price so it's a great day out. The admissions building is laid out terribly but that's not a problem that can be easily fixed.
Great little zoo, wide selection of animals.
Always a great time with the kids
It has a large variety of animals. I even got to see a peacock shake it's feathers
I heard a lot of hype about this place, oddly though, no one ever seems to mention the amusement park, water park or Zoo that is also located on site, all in all it's a great place to visit We only did the Magnetic Hill attraction which is an optical illusion that makes it appear as though your vehicle is travelling uphill, backwards. It's a neat experience worth the $6 entry fee, that being said, it's also a one time experience, I would absolutely not pay to go a second time. (You can go back and forth repeatedly while you're there however).
Bigger than what it looks like. Great family activity. Animals are well taken care of.
Nice zoo, lots of animals, but there would've been more being our in the late summer months
So much fun, we enjoyed our day thoroughly.
Wow, what a lot of amazing creatures to see here! We all loved it. It is so well laid out and a place to take a walk and see animals you may never again have the chance to see.
Nice place to bring the kids. The girl who does face painting was amazing with my 3yr old! She made his day.
Had a fantastic day leisurely day wandering the zoo. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. The distances aren't long and the are places to rest along the way. The enclosures look well maintained. The animals seem contented and have areas where they can escape the public if they want. Great way to spend a few hours.
We went in April. There was still snow on the ground in some places. A lot of stuff was closed. But we still really enjoyed it. A lot of the animals seemed pretty active. We even got a video of the tiger jumping at the glass. Was pretty intense. It has a great playground as well. Huge! Our daughter really liked that part as well.
Good zoo, not too big with a good selection of animals
My kids love the zoo, the path are easily accessed and walked. The entire place is very clean and you can see staff actively cleaning up and caring to the animals.
Love this zoo so clean and you can see the animals
Many animals from all over the world. All appear to have decent shelters and habitat. Well trained and very knowledgeable staff.
We will be back!!
It was a lovely place...the jaguars and cheetah were my favourate
Very charming zoo. We love the fact that they incorporated the zoo within the existent nature scene. The enclosures look good and the animals seem happy. The staff is friendly and takes time to explain. Great and elaborate play structure for the children. The entry price reflects the fact it is a small zoo. It is worth the stop if you pass by Moncton, NB.
Cheap and well made!
Great for family fun, thankful they had rental toddler carts. Took us about 3 hours to walk through & throughly enjoy our visit.
Loved it, great place to visit, lots to see. The Jaguars are amazing. Good place to bring kids and the whole family. There is something there for everyone to see. There is also a nice gift shop that is pretty reasonably priced.
Clean, lots of animals to look at, a few vending machines incase you get thirsty. Well shaded walk while looking at the different animals.
Impressive for a smaller/medium zoo. Good animal exposure and well laid out for walking. Kid climber to let them burn off energy also. I would recommend a visit and then you can go to the adjacent splash park after.
Great staff and the animals are looked after well. They looked happy and I loved the continent segments that gave it a cool differentiator.
Fantastic zoo!! Great facilities and staff and lots of different animals to look at. Price is reasonable. Save a few hours for this attraction so you can take your time and enjoy the exhibits.
Great zoo with nice mostly shaded walking paths and wheelchair and stroller accessible, lots of animals to see and interactive things for children. $16 per adult, our 1 year old was free (I believe 2 and under is free)
Loved it, great place to visit, lots to see. The Jaguars are amazing. Good place to bring kids and the whole family. There is something there for everyone to see. There is also a nice gift shop that is pretty reasonably priced.
Very nice place. Kids really liked it. You can walk around the place, looking at animals. The place is very clean and animals have some place to move around. There us a big play module for kids. My 7 year-old daughter shrieked in excitement when she saw it.
I love seeing animals ...how they live and everything but deep inside in my heart I know that zoos are not what they pretend to be and I have a hard time when I think about it and when I see an animal in a "natural" habitat but still caged up and pacing, this is not natural that is the only reason why I cannot give all the stars for my experience
Love it here. Always a good time for parents and kids ❤
We went to see the wild lights. They do all Christmas light around the zoo. Lots of fun.
Such cool animals!
Beautiful spot. Well kept grounds
Love taking my family through the zoo whether it’s in the summer of one of the events they have such as Boo at the Zoo or the Christmas light show. Staff is friendly, prices are good for the amount of attractions they have. Zoo is always clean and Maintained well.
Our first time going to the holiday lights and it was wonderful.
The staff is very friendly and so are most of the animals. The place was well kept and clean However, some of the housing/habitats were improper for the species living in them, which tore my heart!
I don't know I couldn't get in because you have to pay to go into the zoo which is something that no one told me
We loved this zoo. They have two black Jaguars like Bagheera on the jungle book. I also enjoyed the pink flamingos and the seal. They have a pair of lions and tigers too. The Arctic fox was another animal I hadn't really seen before.
They try hard to make your day enjoyable
A must visit spot if you're on vacation in Moncton! Lots of animals and everything is clean!
Great day with kids! We booked our tickets online for the 1-5 slot on a Friday and arrived around 2:30. We had enough time for the kids to see everything without rushing.
Best place to visit with your children, i assure you they must love this place to explore. It having all the continent animals and other ecosystem mamals. STRONGLY RECOMMEND.
A nice place to go with the family.
The only one of its kind and Atlantic Canada that has many animals that are viewable and taken care of. Has great walking trails.
Came here with our two twin girls. They loved it They do need some more sanitation stations around the park. Especially by the kids play area which is open. Also, it was hot the day we went and everyone of the water machines wouldn't take paper bills or interac. If they could fix those issues it would have been perfect! We did get to see a super cute baby monkey though. Our girls loved that the most!
Winter time is adorable too.
Love the zoo. I volunteer with the friends of the zoo. We volunteer for all their fundraising events that help raise money for zoo improvements. Really impressed with all the new enclosures.
very beautiful flowers and i love how you get yanked up the hill and almost crash your car into the trees,,,,, love it!! very relaxing experience for the whole family to enjoy! highly recommend!
It's good.. we could see all the animals. there is a park for kids to play too ...????
A nice day trip if you get there before the crowds. Some of the enclosures seem to be on the small side and somewhat sparse, and a some of the indoor areas (reptiles, small mammals) were very stinky. Not the most well maintained zoo I've been to, and not many staff to be seen. That said, it's one of the few things to do in Moncton.
Awesome experience Go there in the day time before 7 pm Distance approx 700 to 800 meteres Follow the directions to go to the magnetic hill it's basically an uphill and you only gonna fill the effect when you put your vehicle on neutral gear and on downhill... you gonna be amazed by the magnetic field and your vehicle gonna go back on down hill... effects varies depending on the weights and person in the car... You can do the same with water if you don't have any vehicle...pour some on the downhill and water gonna flow to the uphill side !! Attention !! do not come out of the car to see or film the effects
Awesome zoo, great family fun
Wild Lights is once again a success! Very pretty, fun to walk around! Do no expect animals, there are very few! But the decorations are really neat!
It had been a long time since I had gone to the zoo but it was really beautiful. Loved it!!
If you are in Moncton check out the zoo. Is a two-kilometre walk see all the exhibits and the Animals seem well taken care of
It was our second time in a couple of year's at this zoo and it was our last. The zoo is starting to look run down, there was no staff to be found, multiple exhibits were closed and no food was available on site.
The facility looks well taken care of. Bathrooms were clean, walk ways were nice. Sadly many of the animals weren’t out when we visited. And we saw some disturbing behaviours from some of the animals that were out (banging their heads repeatedly against fences, pacing repeatedly). Left us feeling quite sad that many of these animals were in enclosures that are probably too small for them, or aren’t getting enough stimulation. Many of the animals were alone without others of their species for company (camel and zebra, for example).
Had a great time with my daughter and gf.
Wonderful. Animals are well taken cared for.
Pretty fun, the kids definitely enjoyed the emu and the monkeys!
Lovely little zoo... nice and well kept..Needs more patronage. I see expansion happening to house the new animals coming soon.
It was great. Lots of active and healthy animals.
We got here at 9:00 am on Sunday but the place was open. No was there so we could do 4 rounds of the hill backward, forward. But backward car moving up the hill was the best. Amazing experience must do when u visit Monton.
We loved this zoo. I was very impressed that our 3, 4, 6 and 7 year olds all had fun for a straight 2.5 hours. The playground halfway through is genius, a great place to break it up and have a snack. The animals are really great as well, our favorites were the lions, squirrel monkeys, and the goats we could feed!
So glad we got the chance to stop here while on our 4 year anniversary trip. Such a quaint little zoo with so many happy animals to enjoy. It is closed for the winter months but we luckily made it in on a special March Sunday where they had the place opened up. A must stop for any animal lovers!
Nice small zoo!
Nice small zoo!
Their pathways are a mess and I watched 5 people fall in the same spot including my own child other then their layout being a mess it's a great place to visit
Great displays
Not much animals to see, as expected since it's the cold season now. Decorations for halloween are good. Bonus since their cafeteria was open and they serve beaver tails! ???? It would be nice to visit there when the christmas lights are on...
It was fun
It's a beautiful zoo with lots of animals. We were there on a pretty hot day and not many of the animals had water. It was pretty sad.
We had a lovely experience! The zoo is clean and well maintained.
Great variety of animals, clean and pleasant to Walk aroud
Lots of free parking, all the animal exhibits were open, food was good and priced well. Great playground for the kids to play on.
A great place to being kids. However, the place is kind of small, but at least the entree fee is not too expensive. Worth if you're passing by, but don't expect to spend more than 2 hours in.
Love this place! Such a neat spot for a family activity, a school outting or an animal lover trip. I visited this zoo in the summer and over the winter holidays while they were having their annual lights event. Indeed, the zoo's organisation puts up Christmas lights of all kinds and part of the admission fees goes towards keeping up the zoo. During the summer, you can see all kinds of animals from all around the globe. They're even around during the winter time activities. Admission fees are affordable and the site is well maintained.
Lots of animals to see and the layout of the enclosures are nice to see and navigate around. We did not like the $1.50 charge for a map of the zoo so I suggest taking a picture of the map from one of the kiosks throughout the park. Also they check your ticket when you enter but don't rip of the tag. Maybe they should do this or people will start giving their ticket to other families.
Excellent facility for a region of it's size. The animals here seem to be well cared for and staff is pleasant.
Having to order tickets online just to go to an over priced zoo is ridiculous! Because there 0 cases in NB for 2 months . Waste of time
Haven't been in forever, since I was a kid. Took my sons up there and they had a blast! Massive play structure, the enclosures are perfect for viewing and the food/amenities are all right there.
Good zoo.
We, as a family loved our visit! The layout is perfect to wear out our toddler and just when she got bored of animals there is a play structure to keep her entertained. The beavertail treat at the playground was just what we all needed to give us energy to finish our trip here. We spent 3 hours for one visit and ended up going back the next day again! The feedings were spaced apart we got to see may different animals and reptiles fed from staff.
Was nice
Great spot. Clean park. Lots to see. A great way to spend 2 hours or more with the family .
Its always a fun time going to this zoo, it's a beautiful walk and its not very expensive !
Really lovely zoo. The enclosures have really expanded from when I went as a child.
Kids love this place
Great family zoo. Clean, we'll maintained good layout and lots to see.
Great zoo and awesome playground for kids in the middle.
Very nice place for friends and families ???? ❤ ????. Most important, CHECK THE WEATHER TO MAKE SURE YOU GO ON A LOVELY SUNNY ???? ☀️ ???? DAY.
I love coming here when I get the chance. I always enjoy it. Alwayssss!! ????
Zoo Christmas were awesome as expected
A great place to walk around with a date, if you like zoos.
Lovely zoo. great small exhibits that kept my young ones engaged!
Green, well thought out enclosures. Two animal contact areas allow kids to pet goats and deer while allowing the animals the privacy of a retreat at any time. As far as possible for a zoo, animals needs seem respected here.
Great fun, remember to bring sunscreen because there is a lot of clear areas that have limited shade.
Went to see the Lights at the Zoo, had a great time!
This is our second year buying a season pass. My children love this place. Very clean, animals well taken care of and a great park to play!
Very enjoyable visit. Granddaughter had such a wonderful time.
Love this place!
Great family zoo. Lots to see.
The Sunday winter sessions are a great idea. Perfect pricing and a great family outing for fresh air and to see the animals. The only thing we noticed on the way out, was how difficult it was for an individual pushing their family member in a wheelchair to get in and out of the entrance because it was so snow packed. I would not consider it wheelchair on this particular occasion.
Great assortment of animals, you can even walk around with some of them...not the lions.
My kids loved it. There were so many animals to see
I've been there a number of times. While you won't see as many exotic mammals as you would at a larger zoo, it's the multitude of inventive effects, like Wild Lights and its holiday lighting, that really keeps things fresh.
Nice zoo. Well looked after. The animals seem happy and healthy. African lions, Amur Tigers and black Jaguars were highlights for us.
Large collection of big cats. Nice walkable layout with friendly pedestrian setups (shade, benches, refreshments, etc).
We had a good time here! Visited in November so it was pretty quiet. It’s very clean and well maintained. It took us about 30 minutes to walk though. Never thought I’d see a tiger that close
The Magnetic Hill Zoo is an excellent way to spend a day out with your family. It's clean (as far as zoos go), the staff is very friendly, and they seem to make sure that the exhibits are modernized to ensure that the animals are well taken care of.
Love it here the kids had a blast
Off season period is better. Animals seems to be less stressed and more room to walk around
Really enjoyed this zoo. It is not so large like Calgary or Toronto so you don't have to commit an entire day to it.
Reasonable pricing for a family . Has so many animals!! Very enjoyable .
Just a fantastic way to spend 3 to 4 hours outdoors with your kids.
Good place for kids as well as for their parents.. you can enjoy watching animals. A great place to spend weekend near by moncton. Its a huge place so have some time to spend
Phenomenal show of lights at the zoo. A must see for all ages, it only took about a hour and a half.
They try to imitate the animal's natural habitats. Nice place to visit with the family.
Really enjoyed our time there. It has plenty of animals for all too see. I wish there were more! Great value for money. Friendly staff. Great time for all the family. I would highly recommend. I wish the gift shop had more things related to the zoo in there. That was the only drawback.
Nice place for families and kids. Clean and well maintained. The big cats section is really nice. Free parking. A restaurant and gift shop are available.
The kids loved seeing the animals
It's a great place to spend the day with family.
An awesome place to spend the day with the children and many more activities can be done in that area
Great value. They animals look happy and their shelters are nice and clean.
It keeps getting better. Great place for the whole family. Lots of animals and the enclosures keeps getting better. Really seems like the well being of the animals is important here. The playground is a big hit as well!
Boo at the zoo is very slow with lineups. Too expensive for 4 of us it was $60.
This zoo has a good selection of animals from a few different continents. It's clean, affordable, and the staff is friendly. They also have a fairly big playground which the kids love. The animals also look well cared for and their enclosures appear to be well kept.
Good place. I little small compare to some other zoo but for the price its good. People who work there was nice.
I love this place..
Nice place to go to see unsual animals
Great place for kids. Good playground.
A fantastic place to get up close and personal with creatures you would never see otherwise.
Well laid out , friendly staff , prices at the gift shop were insane.
Very nice
Great place to go visit with familly or friends. Takes about a good 2-3 hours if you take your time and lots of things to see!!
Tempurature was beautiful to head to the zoo. Though some of the animals were still in side as was still chilly for them. The animals that were out were active and playing. The black panther was enjoying walking around and talking there at people that were walking by. The meerkats where hilarious fun to watch.
Great experience with families and friends and especially the kids. Over 2hours of viewing different animals well spaced from one a other within the zoo. Security also top-notch.
Our first date was at the Magnetic Hill Zoo and we make an annual visit on each NYE. This year was one of the better visits for sure as tons of new lights and even the barn lights were sync'd to the music. It makes a perfect date location and so much fun to see all the lights!

Friendly staff , excellent atmosphere and well taken care of animals ! Nothing but a fun time !
Not very big compared to some zoos we've been to, but it was a nice outing, good excercise walking around, and the kids enjoyed the animals and playground area.
Definitely a place to stop, I love that there shaded areas and the places are very well-marked there are public bathrooms along the way which makes it a lot easier when you have little ones. You can rent wagon/strollers to make it easier to go through the zoo. I also love that they have hands on petting that the children can interact with Some of the animals (goats, chicken, deer) they do have feeding stations where they Supply either corn or pellets to feed the animals they do cost money to use.
very beautiful and great place. You can rent a trolley for a baby for $ 8. Very clean around. You can buy food for deer, goats, ducks. We were with a small child and he was tired and we did not have time to go through the whole territory. We really liked the place.
Nice little zoo! Divided into continents for ease of exploration. Lions and Tigers are there! Those are about the largest animals.
Had a great time, was better than expected. Great place to go during covid they have done a great job with the admissions, bring your own snacks.
Great exhibits, nice nature walk and surprisingly no foul odors as would be expected in a zoo.
Wonderful local Zoo with lots to see. Amur Tiger cubs are beautiful
Animals are the cutest, amenities are a little poor, byo-water is recommended. The otters and tigers are not to be missed but try to see them around feeding time so they're active.
A good family outing.
Fantastic night at the Christmas lights. Great for the kids
Easy walking paths, great views of the animals, plenty of areas to rest, well places signage and interactive exhibits for kids!
Handled everything wonderfully during covid to make it safe for everyone to still enjoy the animals..Its a family fav place to go!
For a small zoo, it has much to offer. The lions and monkeys were especially playful, and the enclosures let you feel closer to the animals than at larger zoos. This zoo is well worth the price, and it's a great way to spend a couple hours.
It's worth visiting especially for kids. It is fun and so close to magnetic hill
A very nice zoo, especially considering the size of Moncton. They have a wide variety of interesting and unique animals. And the living conditions for the animals look very good, with lots of space and similar design to their natural habitat.
Such a great zoo, we're so lucky that it's just down the street. We spent all day there, the kids enjoyed it so much! The new playground is fantastic, too, it was a nice break after lunch to get to stop and play for a bit. We were especially glad to get to see the baby tigers!
Kids loved it. It's worth a trip. The playground is amazing too.
Love this zoo. I've gone a couple times now with different age groups and everyone seems to enjoy thier visit. The staff are friendly, the amenities are clean and the animals are usually moving around which makes the experience even better .
The best zoo in this half of Canada. It's full of animals I never thought I'd be able to see. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
So many great animals, you can tell they are well cared for. Love the otter enclosure, it's incredible!!
Two hours went by with the kids just like that, fun exhibits and nice variety of animals
All the animals looked under fed and skinny, there is almost no seating areas or benches, would love to have taken my mother in-law but due to lack of resting places it's not possible.????
Love this place
Fun for kids...#bucketlist ✔
Clean spacious for the animals, love the upgrade done on the zoo
My family and I went there during summer vacation, great spot, lots of animals, restaurant. I f you're looking for something to do, head over to the Magnetic Hill Zoo!
Awesome zoo, animals well looked after. Great place. Always look forward to my visits.
I absolutely love the Magnetic Hill zoo, the selection is good for the size of the zoo, its is clean and very well maintained, and the staff are friendly and knowledgable. I do wish there were some other types of animals, but other than that I always have a blast!
An excellent place to admire animals of all kinds. There are many children here, as this is a very child friendly and accessible site. My mother took me here as a child, and now that I live in Moncton I thought it would be a good place to take her. Even though I am 24 and my brother is 14, we still had an amazing time. No matter your age, if you love animals, you will love a visit to this zoo.
I love Wolves, Egyptian Camel, Deers, Sea Otters and Horses
Great little zoo, not too busy. I wish that there was more enrichment in the enclosures though, there is some, but it's always good to have even more. You can get very close to the animals, and even feed some of them! (Bring loonies).
Enjoy this place every time!
Christmas lights were amazing
We loved it, my kids had a blast looking at the animals and feeding some too. Too bad we missed the pony rides.
Great little zoo, but I wish the animals had bigger enclosures.
It's a very nice zoo. Maybe not as big as ones from larger cities, but they have a good selection of animals and take care of them. Normally I can't take my wife to a zoo because she notices poor enrichment and stressed animal behavior. Here she had no complaints about the way the animals were housed and treated.
Great day at the zoo. Good temperature so the animals were quite active.
Got to see them feeding the Jaguars!! Could've watched the monkeys all day, they were quite entertaining!#
Animals were great to see. I found it strange they didn't they had no in door washroom but they had Porta potties that im sure don't get cleaned
the zoo was beautiful..the animals looked healthy.. splash zone was super fun fun zone was entertaining for the kids.no big rides..
A good place to bring the grandchildren.
Great place to visit with children.
It was awesome my 2 year old grandson loved it as did we Was there when my son was 4 years old 40 years ago Loved it then love it now A1 Staff awesome
Go early and see the animals being feed. The Feed for goats and birds is bit pricey at $2 for a couple of tablespoons. We enjoyed the day.
Wonderful experience. Laid out very well so you don't miss any of the enclosures. Animals were very active and we were there midday
nice variaty of animal, not too long or too short of a walk. Really good for kids
Great park! Beautiful animals. Kids loved it.
The zoo is a fun place were you can see all types of animals. I found the place very clean and looks like the animals are really happy. I have gone here many times with my family and would go back again.
Seasonal light display. Small fee to pay for a nice walk through a winter wonderland. It's not too long and even though it's winter, some zoo animals are still visible. Have to see. Amazing!
My wife and I made a day trip. And we were really impressed with the way it gave young people and their parents something that they both loved and made a meaningful and memorable day for all. David
Not a world class zoo but I was very surprised to find a zoo that good in Moncton.
My family and i visited this zoo and really enjoyed being up close and personal with the animals. I can definitely appreciate not having to walk far to each location especially having visited the Toronto zoo. We had an amazing view of the tigers at feeding time which was a great experience. I have never been so close to the tigers and i have to say they are definitely a sight to behold. My kids had a blast at the park and it was definitely a great memory for us all. I would recommend this place to anyone!!!
It is a nice 2 hour walk at the zoo, where you see different kinds of animals with really decent entrance fee
Nice place to visit in moncton.
Had fun it's a great place to spend an afternoon with the kids
The zoo is well laid out with quite a cross section of animals from different parts of the world which seem well taken care of. We enjoyed our time there.
We got here at 9:00 am on Sunday but the place was open. No was there so we could do 4 rounds of the hill backward, forward. But backward car moving up the hill was the best. Amazing experience must do when u visit Monton.
My kids loved it.Great selection of animals. You can get close enough you can really see them.
An excellent place to visit with your kids (and without:)) - most impressive were a couple of lions, two gibbons with a baby, ostriches, bears, Amur tigers and Russian border guards. By the way, the word "caution" is better translated as "опасно" rather than "опасность" written on the boxes near Amur tiger. Definitely a place worth visiting in Monkton!
At great way to feel like a kid at heart! The baby jaguars are adorable too.
Was a great time!
Had a great time and all the animals looked great
The lights were great to see. Looks great at night1
Always a good time and always host special events for Christmas, Easter and halloween
Perfect time of year to go...no lines ... animals where very active and it was such a fun filled day
Was only $34 for 2 adults, was in good shape, animals were active for a hot day and was just a nice visit, looking forward to their expansions with penguins/giraffes!. Only suggestion would be a board on entry with the feeding times for some of the animals instead of on their respective exhibits. We got lucky and caught the Jaguar feeding which was awesome to watch but thats the only one we happened to catch. (Although maybe that's to keep too many people from flocking to certain places with covid atm)
We love going to Moncton Zoo each and everytime, the animals are clean and healthy. Veryvfriendly staff.
Beautiful walk around the zoo with all the lights. It makes it magical
Me and my family went to look at the Christmas lights it was a experience me my wife and kids will never forget thanks to all the staff who took there time to put the lights up and for being so friendly
Beautiful Zoo. Lots to see and do for the whole family. Gift shop on site. Close to Magic Mountain water park. Large Zoo and very well maintained. Canteens on site.
A great small community zoo. Well kept and not crowded. Semi-privately run and half owned by the city. Its nice to support this local zoo and allow it to grow and prosper. Definitely something to stop by and see when you are in Moncton.
We visited the magnetic zoo for the Wild Lights at the beginning of January. It was spectacular! I've also gone during the summer and it's just as beautiful
Most of interestung animals were sleeping the kids were a little disappointed..but great place.
Good for all ages. All kinds of animals to see. It was worth the money.
Wanna blend into nature? Wanna learn more about the animals from all over the world? This is absolutely where you should check by.
The Zoo is a good and calm place. Perfect to spent a good 2h wxploring the animals.
Great experience.
I did not go inside
Had a fun time visiting the zoo.
As a family! We always make time to visit here especially for our daughter's fun activity.... Family and friendly environment
Really enjoyed the visit here. Can't wait to come again. Great variety of animals and sweet park!
Amazing place to see Animals from different part of the world. But, they need little more focus on maintenance of zoo.
Loved the lights and my grand daughter loved it too! She really loved seeing the reindeer too
Great zoo, kids had a lot of fun. Only reason for the four stars and not five stats is that the pony rides are a bit pricey for such a short ride.
This zoo is fun for the whole family. Kept very clean but pricy (if you want to go on pony rides or face painting)... wide range of animals that all look healthy and well entertained. The staff appear to put a lot of work in every day, there is always something to do.
Very clean. Love this zoo. Animals are always out, and there is tours of the zoo in great detail.
It's a place I like to go to be able to relax and at the same time the kids love it.. in the summer you have all sorts of animals and at Christmas time you have all the beautiful Christmas lights and decorations
Great zoo, our son loved it. Would love to have seen some more Canadian animals (moose, bison, beavers, etc.) but loved the animals that were here. We'll definitely come back if we can.
Great place to take the family ! Lots of animals to see and its clear they are well cared for.
Such a great zoo! We loved feeding the deer. It was small, which I like. Monkeys were my daughters favourite.
Pretty nice zoo. Quite small, maybe an hour or two to do the full tour, but pretty enjoyable. I think I prefer this to bigger zoos that needs you to walk around for a full day. …
Best setup for the big cats in our maritime area! They treat their animals well. Worth supporting this zoo and your kids will love it.
We had a wonderful time with our toddler, lots of shade and opportunity to interact with the animals.
Do an annual Fall trip to the Zoo. Great staff and displays. Cats were very active on our last trip, but it was also a little cool outside. It's easy to breeze through but you get much more out of a visit by stopping by each habitat. The large birds will often put on a show if you hang around long enough.
This place is great for kids, they have a huge play ground set and you can go in a few animal pens to feed goats and deer. I love the way they set up an old Russian truck up so u can sit inside and watch the tigers out the front windshield, if your lucky they could jump up in the hood. Made for a great 3-4 hour adventure. You could spend alot longer there though.
Love all the animals
My kids loves this zoo
Great place. If your living in the area I recommend buying a season pass. Relaxed atmosphere and the animals, especially the monkeys are amusing and enjoy singing to the crowd
Great atmosphere amazing family evening
Great way to spend summer day.Kids loved the playground and the animals
I love the zoo in the fall, all the animals are a lot more active.
We’ve been twice now and love it! The perfect amount of walking and animals (unlike Toronto zoo where you walk for miles in between animals!)
Went for the light festival and it was unbelievably beautiful. The amount of time and work that goes into this event is incredible. Its definitely worth your time and money.
It's a lovely special place
Great zoo. Respectfull staff. They kept enough trees to give a great natural look and feel to the zoo
Loved watching the bears looking to find their hidden treats and the condor is very very cool!
Great place to get outside and see some awesome animals
They really put in alot of work to make this a great zoo. There seasonal events are great, Halloween, Christmas, Easter, ect
Probably the best time to go during this covid. No rush and can see the animals. Upkeep is still well done. And it's a great way to spend the day for the family.
It has been at least 8 years since my last visit and I must say it has changed since then. There are new animals, lots of outdoor vending machines for water etc. There is also a very large outdoor playground for the kids. The admission price for a family of four is $44 which is reasonable.
A nice way to spend half a day.
Absolutely fantastic zoo. Saw several animals we've never seen before and the goats wouldn't let us near the food, kept nibbling us when we went to get it from the feeder! Amazing playground right in the middle of the park. Beautiful and well kept, and the animals are definitely well taken care of. Washrooms are well taken care of as well. Definitely coming back!
The zoo always has lots of family friendly events and lots of great animals around to see. Plus the price is pretty reasonable.
It's always a great place to visit and now with the new Artic Wolf enclosure you get to see them up close. Loved it!
Great way to spend a day in Moncton. Seeing the otters is a must.
Great way to spend a day in Moncton. Seeing the otters is a must.
Amazing experience "Boo at the Zoo"
Great place for the family, who doesn't like the Zoo?
Pretty cool lights and a nice quite evening for a stroll after supper. This year they had more lights than last year. The best time to go is right as they open at 5. Pretty good evening family fun. I enjoyed it. Would however recommend to put in some warm clothes as it gets chilly as the day progresses.
This place is crazy. No words can describe how you can go back up a hill with out using gas. Worth the trip
Great place, food was a little pricey but not bad. Forced to leave through the giftshop with two small kids. That didnt cost a fortune or anything. I should have the loan paid off in 2029!
Our friends daughter lost her teddy bear at the zoo and they called to say she had lost it but when we went to go get it they said that they didn't have it anymore because they took all the teddy bears that people lost and donated them... that teddy bear meant a lot to her and they shouldn't have called to say they found it if they were just gonna donate it.... this isn't right..
I love Magnetic Hill Zoo. My husband and I go there every Christmas for the light show. Each year they feature a different animal. 2018 was the year of the penguin. They have a gift shop. They have a few indoor displays where you can see animals as well as warm up. The entire zoo is lit up. It is amazing. They have a firepit to warm up. They have hot chocolate along the way as well. We look forward to seeing the new displays each and every year. It is a beautiful display.
Always worth the walk especially with grand children.
Feel Sad for the felins, they seems stress, making same circle movement all day long, all their life in this small space that they have ????. We human are cruel. I wish humanity could end as soon as possible. I'll accept it.
It was excellent. Seeing the animals in bigger places to roam is awesome. Bruce Duggan did a wonderful job as did the staff
Went to Wild Lights tonight and it was great!ots to see, well organized, Covid protocols in place. A really fun evening for all of us (kids and teens included)
A smaller zoo but it was big enough for my kids to enjoy. Also, they have a lion, tiger and other popular animals. But none of the big animals like elephants and rhinos. It is definitely worth a visit and the family price.
The Magnetic Hill Zoo is a fun place to bring your family/friends on a nice summer day. They have all kinds of animals and they even have cold treats for sale. They sell candy, and they sell drinks and ice cream. You can go pet the goats, You can feed certain animals as well. There's a gift shop you can go to on your way out.
Good place to have fun and enjoy with family
Awesome evening
The zoo is so well maintained, they have so many different types of animals & a great dedicated staff.
I have been going here for years off and on as I grew up here. I found that now I have kids and the last few times that we've been their the animals were hiding, not active and were no able to touch the animals like before. It make ls it less interesting I find now for the kids.
Its pretty good not great snack or food options
Loved it! Went to Boo at the Zoo...lines were long, however moved very quickly!!!
Went for wild lights.. it was a great evening with the family.
Zoo Wild lights Great ! Lovely walk through the lights with a light snowfall. Pricey hot chocolate...3.50 Don't go for the animals... not many out at night.
Awesome animals
Great zoo but not enough concessions.
3 adults and 3 children we traveled 2 hours to go and just as we got in about 15 min it down poured the entire day we returned to ticket area soaked afraid of lighning storm requested our funds back or a credit for next day and they said no we dont do that not our problem so we spent all that money goe 15 min
Zoo lights is always amazing to walk through. Lots of lights to see and some animals are out
Cute animals!
It’s really nice place and it’s worth to visit again. My daughter spent the whole day feeding animals and enjoying the time with diverse creatures from different continents. I have to say this journey is amazing
It was bigger then I expected. Lots of animals and very clean beautiful place to visit on a vacation in Moncton! !!
Always a great time at the zoo
Winter wonderland.. beautiful lights and a great walk
Very nice zoo. Well kept. Lots different animals.
Was an awesome visit! Loved the animals! Was not over crowded and was easy to navigate through
Awesome
I think this is a wonderful zoo. Really nice place to go for a walk while looking at animals.
This place was a beautiful walk and wonderful animals
We went on Oct.9th and had the entire zoo to ourselves. Was an overcast day and most of the animals were lively especially the tiger cubs and lions. The Lions were roaring quite a bit it was very impressive. The tiger cubs were playing for hours together. Lots of things to see and no crowds! Highly recommend.
It was really great
It was a hot day most of the animals were sleeping in the shade. It was a fun day with our grandsons.
Great place to bring kids. Really good zoo with a decent selection of animals. It is really great to be able to interact with the goats. Big cat displays (lions, tiger, leopard, jaguar) are also very impressive.
Love going there. So much to do. There is a restaurant that is soo good the zoo is beautiful and magnetic hill is neat.
Good one way setup following COVID-19. Few people when we went. No waiting
Visited years ago, and enjoyed it as I recall. Went this year, and they wanted to charge the adult rate for my two children because they're over the age of 12, so we don't qualify for the family rate. This is the first time I've experienced anything like this, and was appalled. Limited to two children of 12 years or younger for the family rate. I've gone other places and it's 5 people, and maybe a cap of 16. Sad
Funzoola, family had a great time with the animals, bounce castles, and the large play areas.
Fiive adults, three children. The cost was very high simply because shortly after our arrival, the heavens opened up with severe thunderstorms and deluges of rain. We asked for a rain check and were simply handed paper towels to dry off with. Poor customer service!
Has an awesome time at the zoo. Nice variety of animals, my granddaughter loved it!!
We loved the zoo. The monkeys were so much fun
We had a great day and the baby tigers were out playing with their Momma. It was so cute. The zoo is kept so clean and very friendly staff
A well maintained zoological garden in small town abutting other tourist attractions like water sports and amusement Park. This is a smaller zoo with much fewer animals. Don't expect hordes of tigers, hippos, giraffes, birds etc. You could cover entire park in about half an hour. A small petting zoo is a kid attraction.
Zoos are so very needed in today's disconnected world and listening to the connection of children to the animals as I walked around the zoo today was proof of that. They're doing a great job in the face of the pandemic, educating the public and providing wonderful care for the animals on grounds. Also, Guinea Pig world... it's EVERYTHING I didn't know I needed. Great job team!
Our grandson enjoyed the horse back ride, seeing the monkeys being fed, watching the otters playing around and petting the goats.
Nice and clean. Had an amazing time
The overall experience was good. However I found that the hours were short as they only close at 6pm so that could be hard for some people go as they probably have work and other obligations during the day. Also I did find it quite expensive for what it was. It costs 30$ for my girlfriend and I to go and we were for about an hour and a half. I will say though, most of the enclosures and exhibits were very well done.
Awesome zoo. Caution lion may spray children in the face ???? watched it spray a kid that got too close.
Set up nicely with 2 loops for maintaining Covid protocols. Great way to spend an hour or 2
Awesome first time experience for me!
We went just after Christmas at night to see the lights. It's absolutely beautiful and we did get to see plenty of animals including a black panther. We are excited to go back during the daytime.
Not a bad zoo for this part of the world. A good variety of animals, but no unicorns or ligers, sadly. Good spot for family outing, especially with Magic Mountain next door.
Great place for a family day.
Lovely little zoo, with excellent enclosures and very happy critters. We had an amazing day.
Great place for a walk, nature and animals on a sunny day
It is a nice day out.... good visit for children..a good walk around for adults. Just one food truck though and sometimes the vending machines are all sold out... so BE sure to carry snacks if you need it. Staff are lovely and you can learn lots from them if you happen to meet them on their rounds. Cute gift shop in the end where you can pick up fridge magnets, t shirts, display stuff and a host of other zoo branded stuff.
Is a nice walk through the zoo grounds
Very nice to see all them animals..
Been to the zoo twice and my kids loved it both times. I live near the Toronto zoo and prefer this one. Not big can be done in a few hours, all the animals are always in motion and handlers are friendly. Excellent prices.
Great place, nice light show
Fantastic place for families or just on your own. Amazing and beautiful animals
The wild Lights display this year was great and had lots of fun going through the zoo enjoying the lights with friends and family!
Well organized. A great place for kids to learn about the animals and there is a beautiful play area for them to have fun.
Magnitistic! We reached there around noon and were treated to a sumptuous feast of delights - beautiful Halloween exhibits; amiable zoo staff; and of course, the fantastic stars of the zoo - the wonderful animals. Kudos to the zoo administration for this veritable feast. Please visit this New Brunswick Zoo, off Moncton.????????
Great place to bring the family and see lots of different animals. Kids really had fun. Face painting and horse back riding ????
Lovely zoo. So nice that they celebrate the holiday season with a spectacular display of lights until the end of December. So pretty!!
Great spot but avoid the food truck the burgers are 11 dollars and tasted like wet cardboard. Best advice bring a snack.
Went in the morning right after they opened. We were very pleased how the animals were very active. My soon to be 7 year old daughter loved it.
I went with a coworker to the Wild Lights which were breathtaking! Also got a chance to see the jaguar and cougar come put and play in the snow!
A great place to spend the day. The exhibits are beautiful, animals of every type keep young and old amused. The play park is great for the little ones to burn off steam in safety. Then take in the Magnetic Hill and finally the boardwalk. Fun for all ages.
Great place to visit, year round! For best results go on a cooler day, the animals will be more active.
Ideal pricing, beautiful enclosures for the animals, friendly staff, and an awesome clean, tidy layout. Will be returning when the babies are out!
Very nice zoo; the animals looked healthy and their enclosures were clean and seemed to have lots of room. A great way to spend the day! Loved the tigers and the monkeys.
it was overcast , weather was great had the animals active, great trails for strollers or wagons. grandkids loved it .
Amazing day trip love that you did not have to rush and was able to see all animals
Awesome staff and amazing exhibits! Plan on going again in the future and would recommend to anybody.
Well organised , great overall day with the kids
Very clean and paced out very well. Affordable and lots to see and do.
Had a Great Day at the zoo. The only thing I was disappointed about was I didn't know the gift shop closed at 5pm so at 5:11pm when we finished we were not able to buy anything ???? myself and my son were disappointed.
It was Amazing to see Animals that you never thought you could see in real life!!
Decent entrance fee, not too expensive, most cages are really small and some of the animals don't look in great shape
Very clean and children enjoyed every moment.
Clean. Some if the food-for-animals vending machines were empty, so disappointed kids... The walk was well marked, ran smoothly.
Had a great time. Went first thing in the morning, which I would definitely recommend. Everyone was out and about eating and playing before the heat of the sun. The staff were super friendly and informative. Even has a huge playground which was a hit with the kids!
Such a lovely small zoo, very clean, very comfort, amazing animals, pleasure for kids!
I love animals they are adorable ????I had a wonderful experience there.. so many people every one is extremely nice ????????????
Love animals!! Especially cats???????? Very nice place for kids!
Spend a Sunday afternoon at magnetic hill zoo. Was pleasantly surprised by the variety of animals and the attention paid to their habitats . Tour took a couple of hours to complete, highlighted by the noontime feeding session with the tiger . It can get very hot in the afternoon - recommend morning or evening visits.
Well worth the price :) I have seen bigger zoos for twice the price but could not see the animals as good
Beautiful
I went for the christmas lights and it was so fun 10 bucks an adult!
I love the Magnetic Hill Zoo. The animals appear to be taken care of well. I have visited many times over the years and continue to enjoy it. I enjoy taking the short train ride around the zoo if I don't have time for a regular visit.
Always a delight going to this zoo! Lots to see and do! Food, clean washrooms and fantastic playground! The animals are in great spaces and are magnificent. Highly recommend going in September.
Nice local zoo not too big for small children. They offer animal themed push carts for the little ones as well. Large playground that's almost worth the price of getting in
Amazing day please support zoos
It was great nice variety of animals
Nicely laid out. Great way to spend a few hours. Liked the way they had the paths laid out so you could do two route options.
Excellent as usual.
It's a really nice little zoo animals seem happy and well looked after. Playground for the kids and pretty much everything else you could need. Definitely worth checking out.
Although it is a small zoo, it has different variety animal species coming from different continents. About 2 hours more for whole travel of the zoo according to the recommended path.
This is a great outting for adults or children. I went during the winter lights event. It was beautiful. You don't see any animals but the walk is wonderful and if you get cold you can stop in the centre and warm up around the fire.

Funny in halloween!!!
Great place to visit. I love nice layout flow, just follow a path and you not going to miss anything.
Amazing time at lights at the zoo
We had an amazing time! It is layed out great and easy to get around!
Small zoo...not bad
Illusion for the cars

Had a great time.
