REVIEWS OF Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park IN Argentia

Nebu Thomas

The park is well maintained, the animals looked healthy. Good getaway if you're with family. Washrooms weren't great, unless it's a real emergency you don't wanna go in there. Courteous staff. Parking is available on-site. Carry water in hand.. overall good experience.

Jason S

It's alright, satisfied, small bunny petting zoo, donkeys and Llamas out open, enclosures for lions and tigers, wolves, and wolves, oh and wolves too. Sure there were monkeys, lemurs and owls too. 40 minutes was more than enough to see all the animals. Was able to get a good sight of all of them. Will recommend for sure

Lori Francoeur

Small enclosures, run down and in my opinion lots of dangerous equipment for children to go on....ei. look out is in disrepair but not closed. And the park is mostly broken and has cement exposed under climbing structures.

ArturasDzeikas

Do you love animals and support their wellbeing? Then DONT visit this place. It is for profit establishment. Just like zoo’s this place care about your money, not animal wellbeing, your money wont increase living conditions of these animals in small cages. Visit real sanctuary where they rehabilitate wild animals instead. Dont be ignorant.

SG

On our first visit, it was a beautiful summer day! Everything was great. People can easily spread out and distance from each other. On our second visit (recently), it was so muddy everywhere. We had a lot of difficulty navigating the park. Almost everyone was unprepared because it didn't rain? Anyhow, it would've been helpful if there was a little reminder when purchasing! If we were prepared, we would've had a much better experience.

David Kozarichuk

A very nice collection of animals for a small town. Lots to do for kids. They have feeding tours, which are great because you get to see the animals active (instead of sleeping like most zoo visits). Very affordable, and they have a season pass.

Tauheed Salahuddin

Great place for the kids. My daughters had a blast. One of them got to chase some peacocks!

T Dillon

Great family getaway for a few hours. I would recommend they add a handwashing station. Soap and water not only destroys Covid-19 (FAR better than hand sanitizer), but I'm sure everyone would appreciate being able to wash their hands after petting the animals.

Kaur Thind

Great experience with the family. I would definitely go to the feeding at 1:30pm. The staff is great and cheerful. If it's been raining I suggest wearing rain boots as it can be muddy.

Nicole Benjamin

Great guides. Relaxed and informal place.

Joey Munns

Went during the day and got to see the feeding of the animals and the talk about each one. My niece (3) loved it and will go again.

Aaron Hobbs

What a great place to take the family. I wasn't quite sure what we were in for when we arrived, as sadly some of their buildings are somewhat run down, but it's the heart of this place that really counts, and wow does it have that. The staff were kind and helpful and the animals are very well cared for and obviously loved. They animals all appear relativity happy and are easily visible, while each seeming to have adequate space. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

Amir Amin

Better than Toronto Zoo for cat lovers, they seem to be kept very comfortable and loved, the only thing better is African Lion Safari, but as a wildlife sanctuary for the scale is amazing

David Sleep (Sleeepy2)

It's nice to see the animals up close but I feel the cages are too small. Also it is pretty expensive for the small size. Maybe they could fix up the "playground" a little.

Daxton Valyear

Daughter loved petting the alpacas and the donkey near the back of the property.

Inderpartap Tiwana

Nice place, co-operative staff. Not many animals but as a family zoo it’s ok and fun for kids. 30mins - 1hr zoo round so have another picnic spot as backup plan.

Stuti Shukla

We had a wonderful family time here. Highly recommended

Alana L

There were 2 llamas walking around which was probably the best part. Seeing the animals just circling the cages and the permanent markings from pacing is a tad bit sad. Was fun feeding the goats. Used to be able to get a good deal off Groupon, that was pre covid. Now I’d say it isn’t worth the money they charge.

Patricia Raulino

What a wonderful, friendly place! The staff was so kind & helpful. I have a disability...& they told me, to watch out for the muddy patches (much appreciated)! They animals are well fed, clean & beautiful. I think this place, is a fabulous experience.

This is, hands down, my absolute favourite zoo-type experience there is. The animals are super close, there are quite a few big cats, including white lions, tigers, black jaguars (panthers), snow leopards, wolves, hyenas, and more! They take very good care of their animals, and they feed them on a daily basis, with a feeding tour to go along with! If you've never seen a couple of tigers fight over (growl at each other) some meat in real life, you need to make your way here. I also did the behind the scenes package a few years ago. The staff are so friendly and helpful when you are playing with your animals. I played with the tiger, Contessa, and it was something I will never forget. Thanks, JCW!

Lucas Harvey

Lots of different cats. So lots to look at. You are much closer to the cats than a normal zoo so that was neat. Family of 4 was $60 and it takes about an hour or so to go through it.

Brittany Fulcher

Such an amazing experience and staff is super friendly stayed the night at the b&b in the Safari Lodge might have been rainy but it's still amazing will be back again for sure

Jennifer Aw

This place is unrated! Especially love their young cubs!

Karen Napolitano

Staff are great. But wear boots poop everwhere. The kids love it I love it because its not to big but big enough.

Len Lee

Very nice place all out doors so weather would be a factor. Live feeding and proximity to the cats is great. A couple good photo opportunities. Season pass is a very reasonable and worth looking into.it was the same price for a single visit as a season pass, probably a special. Can grab some basic food and concessionsns. Our children had as much fun petting the bunnies as they did watching the cats play. Pretty long drive for us and parking can be a problem but will make an effort to visit a couple times a year.

Karin Fryer

Ok so it was definitely on the rural side of things but it isn't a zoo. If your child loves animals, this is a very cool to do experience. We went right when the park opened. Animals were still pretty active, the later you go, the warmer it is, the animals will sleep. The enclosures felt small in some instances. I was told they are constantly changing to suit those that will enha it the enclosure. I think these animals are loved, cared for and constantly maintained. There is a zoo camp for kids and various additional experiences can be had. We had an animal encounter with a Fennec fox, 2 Arctic Wolf pups and a Serval cat. Staff is knowledgeable and trained. Our experience was unforgettable, my daughter was entranced and fell in love with Luna. We will be back, thank you to the staff for a truly amazing experience seeing these animals up close.

DLA Webb

What can I tell you about jungle cat world ...to start, all of the animals are well loved and cared for, it might be a "Quint" zoo but if you decide to stay in one of the b n b over night you can hear one of the jungle cats roar, or walk in the wild, or you pay alittle extra to pet one of the baby to tigers or family lemurs or tod the fox Trust me this place is Worth it, it's fun for not just kids but adults too!

A

This is a small wild life park focused on various types of cats. You can expect to see lions, tigers, puma, and lynx. They also have wolves. Overall the enclosures are okay and not particularly interesting. In addition to the cats they have a section with rabbits that can be pet etc. Food is available for purchase but is not particularly appetizing. There is also a small play ground for children.

Michael Mayhem

Wow, good admission price and a great variety of animals. Went with family that were in from out of town. 1 year old god daughter was delighted by all the tigers. Big parrot looking bird was nice enough to sing for her as well. Staff also very nice and seem very knowledgeable. Well worth the admission price!

Tara White

Was a fun day and loved seeing the animals but was sad to see the alpacas were covered in burros. Hopefully they have plans on getting them out somehow

Michael Nicholas

Great place for children

Tarik E

Animals are beautiful but sometimes hard to see.

Monique James

Very cool place. The animals were great. They even had some roaming free around the park which was really cool. Next time I'll pay for the experience so I can feed 3 animals of my choosing.

Becky N

We have never been so up close to lions, tigers hyena in a gated enclosure before. The park is nicely done with ducks llama, rabbits and donkey uncaged. We came when the park was almost closing and the owner was really nice to offer special pricing to us. Was able to walk through the exhibits in 45 mins. The park offers other attractions such as animal encounters, bed and breakfast, and cafe.

Sarah G

It was interesting to see the selection of animals they are caring for. Some of the enclosures seem a bit small, but I'm not sure if they actually are too small. If you go right before the feeding tour most of the animals are more active while anticipating their meals. Worth visiting as a break on a day of driving.

Matthew Bennison

Got to meet three animals face to face. Hyena, lemurs, and a lion cub. Outstanding experience and handler's made us feel safe and comfortable.

Christopher Allan

Loved this place as a kid and still awesome as an adult even though alot of the animals were asleep my kids still enjoyed seeing the jungle cats and wolves and feeding the llamas

DogGoneK9 STaR

Unimpressed with videos made public of the archaic dog training. Perhaps the owner needs to be reducated; treatment like slamming a hand or fist on the back of a dogs neck, or kicking or anything similar is NOT considered acceptable. If this is what happens in public, I can only imagine the stellar treatment animals recieve behind closed doors (cages). Time for all roadside Zoos to disappear and old (dog) trainers to retire.

wayne franks

A great zoo, run and managed by people with great passion for all the animals. Stayed in the Lions den bed and breakfast over night, this was an exciting experience for our grand kids to be able to explore the zoo into the late late evening. A lasting memory for all of us.

My fiance and myself spent a lovely unrushed day at cat world it was so lovely to see how well of of the wild life was cared for also we got to watch a pet funeral and the way the staff treated the greving family was so nice

Michelle Baranowski

I would give 3.5 stars We spent the night at jungle cat world. It was a fun time. My family enjoyed the feeding time it was very interesting to learn about the animals history during the tour. We also did the behind the scenes it was fantastic. What a great experience to get up close to such beautiful animals we saw the baby tiger, artic wolf, lemurs and the ferenc fox. The wolf's were so loveable they enjoyed a good belly rub and offered many kisses. My daughter was very happy she said one of her dreams came true today by petting a wolf. The lemurs were so much fun jumping all over us, incredibly soft and gentle. They animals seem healthy and well taken care of and loved by the staff, but the enclosures did seem small, we saw one of the tigers get zapped by the electrical fence :-( The paths need a lot more woods chip to help reduce the mud. We stayed at the bed and breakfast the themed rooms were pretty cool! It was awesome to hear the lion roar and wolves howl during the night and early morning.. kids were running with excitement to try and see them in action. We had the safari room it was so big 1400 square feet. Unfortunately they were not that clean... lots of dust and cob webs. And we didn't want to even think about using the coffee maker. The fridge was pretty dirty too and would not want to use the bathroom tub. The mattresses were not comfortable at all. They are definitely ready for some updating. Was pretty pricy for the quality.I would rate the cleanliness only 1 star. We did have a really great time but I highly recommend this place to improve the rooms... I would not pay that price again for that low quality. They also had a dog training area right outside our balcony...could definitely do with out that the dogs were so loud barking most of the time we were there.

Liudmyla Lypska

Amazing place for kids and adults!!!

Nathan Shutt

For all of the people who comment and leave reviews whining " oh the cages are too small" "it was dirty" "its cruel" "it was raining and cold when I went and its their fault". This is an animal SANCTUARY, endangered animals or animals at risk, this is not a zoo for profit like Toronto Zoo who hold animals for theatrical profit. If you think things should better then donate to help make the place better instead of whining. If you looked past the end of your nose while walking through the property each animal enclosure has a plaque stating who DONATES and SPONSERS. Less whining, more doing.

Karen Dales

So worth the drive. The owners of the place are so friendly and welcoming. My family and I enjoy being able to get up close to the critters--so much better than the Toronto Zoo, but less animals.

Jobie68

Good to have seen the animals here. It was quite soppy wet with not greay drainage. The facility is a little dated but if you find a coupon online the value is good.

Afsheen Sidat

it's a great place to take the kids to see the different types of cats, it's not that big but you get a great experience .

Jonathan Yantho

The staff are amazing. The wildlife is breathtaking. We stayed overnight at the lodge, and it is by far one of our favourite destinations. We are planning to make this an annual trip. Thanks!

Abdul R. Khan

Great place! Saw many well-kept jungle cats and the staff were really helpful! The park is small but packed with fun animals at very close proximity. Ideal for kids to enjoy and learn. A must go!

Joseph Talbot, Royal LePage Locations North, Broke

Great little place to visit . Love the animals. Needs a little updating, but that is likey do to lack of funds. All the animals looked healthy .

Vipneet Johar

I've been there several times as I use their facilities to board my dog when on vacation. I have been through the zoo a couple of times and it's nice to see all of the jungle cats. Sometimes you even get to see them being fed. Have never stayed there but pretty cool overall.

D. Wright

Great knowledgeable from zookeepers. The feeding tour was amazing. Not enough shade for guests or animals and paths are very uneven and uncomfortable to walk on.

Tiffiney Gurney

Beautiful small park. The staff seem knowledgeable and care about the animals. The animals appeared to be well taken care of. Enjoyed our visit.

TL

A really wonderful experience! Love what they're doing for animal conservation and education. Would definitely recommend their behind the scenes experience, our guide was so delightful and knowledgable and really took the time to answer our questions.

joshua maechtel

Took the kids for the halloween walk and trick or treat. Great experience! Friendly and knowledgable staff

Gabor Emesz

Fun way to spend the day outdoors. The animals are gorgeous, the staff is very kind, they turn the feeding into educational sessions. The cages however seem to be too small for some of the animals. They said they plan to enlarge them. Beware the mud and snow (winter time), so boots are a must.

Rez Gazi

Amazing zoo, not too big, not too small. You can complete it in about 1.5 hours. Beautiful zoo, lots of animals of different species, they looked very healthy and active. I'd go again!

Stephen Frank

We visited this place last weekend for the 2nd time with my 3 year old daughter and she had a blast. If you have young kids and don't want to spend an entire day at the Toronto Zoo, this would be a great choice. They have quite a few animals like Siberian Tigers, White Lions, Amur Leopard, Wolves etc to name a few. They also have 3 accommodation options. The Safari lodge is great and can sleep 6 people. 2nd option is the Lions Den (see photos) And if you spend the night, you can see fireflies from the balcony and could go to sleep or wake up with lions roaring and wolves howling. Great experience. The refrigerator is stocked with bread, eggs, etc and has a full functioning kitchen which is fantastic. Definitely a place where you can go and relax with your kids for a day or two.

Kelly K

Amazing staff, Wolf is such a nice guy. We stayed in the Safari room and loved it. The Black Dog restaurant across the street is great to check out too if you need a place to grab a bite. My husband and I will definitely be coming back again!!!

Dina Mulic

Awesome place. Owners are adorable and so hospitable. Wolf is a heck of a guy-always up for a joke or five. We stayed at the Bed n Breakfast (what a cool experience waking up to the place rumbling from the roaring of lions) and have a yearly pass to the zoo. Its soo relaxing and intimate. Their animals are also well fed and cared for and they are involved in conservation of some critically endangered species.

Cassandra Somerville

The parking lot was jam packed but they had this sign that says “more parking this way” so we go down the street looking for this extra parking lot and there’s noting. We end up parking on the grassy front. Once we got in the park everything was good. There’s a bunny cage and play place for the kids. Feeding tour was awesome. But some of the bigger cats could have used bigger enclosure but it was a small park to begin with

C Hofstra

Had a good time. More than just cats. Well worth the visit

Matt Habermehl

Wonderful place. Highly recommend staying at the camp and doing the behind the scenes tour.

Joe

Just got back from this place, great experience never seen a Tiger so close infact all the wild cats are well taken care and you can see them upclose, stay for the feeding time and its worth watching these cats go for it. We all loved it.....Very friendly staff

X z

It’s a great zoo with so many varieties of big cats and wolves. The fare is fair as well. My kid love it.

ASIMAAN 143

Small place but very good one for kids. Especially best place to visit during this covid time with less crowd and away from city life.

Les Hickey

My mom has a plot at in the pet cemetery portion for our dearly departed pets. I believe noone understands the connection a family has with animals better than the staff here. They are truly passionate about their animals and geared toward wildlife education.

Ella KC

We stayed in their Lion's Den - second year in a row! I loved the small atmosphere and how friendly the staff is. Cooler hours in the morning or after hours (~7pm) is when you see the beauty of this zoo. Lions roaring, Wolves howling etc. is just magical. Pay a little extra and stay overnight to truly enjoy this zoo :-).

Jamie Maing

Nice to visit. Small and well operated zoo for the family. The rabbit pen where kids can pet rabbits was a highlight. Also, the park was loved by all the kids. Seeing the Tigers being fed was a nice surprise.

Dragan Marunic

We have 4 beloved dogs buried there. Very thankful for them being there for us at a time when options are very limited. Phenomenal staff as well. Thank you

Kelly Antaya

Edit: I'm changing my review to 2 stars after my most recent visit. I traveled here in the spring and the whole place was insanely muddy. The paths were terrible and everything was flooded, we were cold and soaked by the time we left. Even some of the animals were covered in mud and their enclosures were swamps. We were warned after we'd paid to stay away from the Canada geese because they were nesting and vicious. I can't believe they charged us full price for such a terrible experience. The zoo shouldn't have been open in such a state. My original review: Jungle Cat World is a deceptively large park with many beautiful and well cared for animals. I was taken aback at first by the somewhat small enclosures which they are kept in, however between the enrichment for them in the park and the general behaviour of these animals it is clear that they are happy; there are far more important factors to a creature's well-being than simply the size of the enclosure. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here, and hope to visit again soon.

Kayla Brown

Lots of gorgeous animals to see!

Ted T

Awesome place! Carl knew his stuff, took the time to really go through the animals with the behind the scenes tour! We will see you again, and will recommend to all friends and family! Incredible experience!

George James

Good to see any animal santuary that protects these amazing animals, keeps them safe and cares for them. Unfortunately in the wild in modern times, the poacher criminals would probably get them.

KJ Dragons

Amazing friendly and knowledgeable staff! We stayed in the b&b and it was great hearing the animals from our room, and being able to visit them after dark. The behind-the-scenes and safari adventure programs are definitely worthwhile. It's wonderful to go to a zoo where the animals are well cared for and don't hide from the guests. We will definitely be back again, and highly recommend!

Crystal Premdas Le

Absolutely in love with this little zoo. There are about 20 main animals, but it’s so up close, you can interact with the animals. My kids love it. It’s relaxed and you can let the kids go off and see animals not being worried about them getting lost. They offer a feeding tour and seeing the way the animals react to the keepers, you can tell they are well taken care of.

Deepthy Mahalingam

Can see all the wild cats very closely. All the animals are rescued. Very good experience visiting with our toddler. Will definitely visit again during summer.

sheila anthony

Took my son and neice. It was okay we had fun feeding the goats and petting the alpacas. However, I feel the cats need a bigger cage. It was also a bit pricey . Otherwise the staff was very nice and informative.

Paul Stickney

A fantastic family experience. We spent the day touring the zoo including the 1:30 pm feeding tour and interactive activities with animals. Staff are plesant and approachable. We stayed in the Safari Lodge...it's huge! Well kept and the breakfast options are great. Will return again sometime soon!

Greg Hammer

Parks pretty cool.I think its a little over priced for what theyr offering. If it wasnt for the cheap groupon I purchased we probably wouldnt have went. But we did have a good time and watching them feed the big cats was pretty rad.

N S

Had a visit today (May 2019). But unfortunately it was late & the park was to close in 5 mins(which we didnt know). And then we met Wolfram Klose. What a man! He was so passionate about not just the animals in the enclosure but also about his guests. Inspite of the safari being closed, he walked us around from outside & gave us the history of the place taking us back in time. It was such an awesome experience. I can only imagine how much fun it will be seeing all the animals in the enclosure. Will surely visit again. Thank you Wolf????????

Pete Kloppenburg

Better than I expected. Feeding time is great, and the staff are very knowledgeable. Plus rabbits and other less ferocious animals.

plasma txtra

Loved it . The people running it was awesome. Very kind and the place is very clean .

Shauna

A nice little zoo. The staff were friendly and there was a nice variety (but small selection) of animals. The animals looked well cared for. I did not do any feeding times or the over night and maybe that would add a little more excitement. It is a long drive to just visit (which is what we did) but overall a nice small zoo great for kids.

Jodi Virgin

My husband and I went after having sent our kids for a visit. They were thrilled with their stay and so were we. Staff are all exceptional from booking to check in and during our stay. Jocelyn was our guide for the meet and greet (well worth the money), very informative and fun. Stayed in the bed and breakfast, was a real treat and loved listening to the wolves howl at night. We look forward to returning in the warmer weather!

Michael Karpiak

Amazing experience. Great and knowledgeable workers. Behind the scenes was fantastic. Will definitely be returning. Wish I could give 6 stars

Alex Haack

Great place to see all sorts of different types of cats and much more animals. Take the family on the weekend and you wont be disappointed.

Daphne Chen

We took our girls early Sunday with a picnic in tow. We arrived just in time to witness live feedings of the various cats. The girls spent oven an hour inside the bunny pen just petting the rabbits. We had a picnic under a tiki hut with a peacock for company. The kids then wandered around looking at looking at black handed monkeys and limurs until some lamas came to say hello. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The animals seemed week loved and cared for.

Zafar Raza

Nice place specially for kids to view jungle cats.

E N

Surprisingly ,it's a good place to visit and learn some stuff from the feeding tour.My daughter loves it . Definitely will come back for more

Krista Bracy

Nice animals, paths were muddy so be careful if it recently precipitated. Not sure why the negative reviews for animal cruelty, the animals are obviously well fed and cared for and have lots of room.

Manojini Sivaranjan

I had very high expectation after reading all these reviews! I will never go back! Poor animals had no space and they looked miserable! Toronto Zoo is much better!

Edward Pillinger

Exceeded expectations! Better viewing than the Toronto Zoo. Smaller enclosures but you can tell the staff truly care for the animal's.

Rosario Sarullo

Lots of adventures here great for kids

Sherika P

I Love Love Jungle Cat World ???? ???? , amazing place for the kids and whole family.

Just The Truth

Not impressed. LOOK AT THE TIP OF THE WOLF EARS...We don't need to see wild animals behind fences. In cages. In this digital age we can easily go online and click on tigers and lions videos... Let them be free!!!!! At least pave the uneven gravel walkway. And this wolf in this picture, it needs to c the vet!!!!!

Jan Hicks

Fun place, family friendly. The dogs bark a bit much though. There is also on site camping. Convenient location.

Jason Williams

I took my girlfriend & my kids to spend a few hours to see the many large wild cats and other wild animals. We had a great time as most of the animals were very active that morning. The young white lion was quite the character, she was very playful in her enclosure. They have peacocks, llamas, ducks & geese all roaming free. The llama's we're quite willing to be petted. The goats in their enclosure were avidly looking for anyone to pet them too. They have free parking & a small gift shop was well as a cafe. The food was reasonably priced. If you've never been I recommend you come spend a few hours there. Next time I'll seek out a Groupon before going.

A Google User

Had a fantasic time. Stayed in the Lion's Den. The room, which is actually an apartment, was gorgeously decorated and just lovely to stay in. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. All the animals are well taken care of and seem very happy. I will definitely be returning.

Jonathan Ber

You get so close to the animals that you can feel there breath and hear them make there noises. Amazing place and the people here care for the animals 110%

big28bear

Very intimate experience animals are very active and out and about would deff go again staff was very nice and helpfull

Daniel Beylerian

Excellent price, animals, staff, and experience. With every penny and minute. Participate in the 1 hour feeding tour at 1:30pm daily.

Bernard Stephen

U can see animals so closely. Great place for kids.

Mark Ignatiev

A depressing place with misserably small enclosures and an East German Communist flag flying on the front flawn. Why it hasn't been closed down in the 21st century is puzzling.

Jake Thirtynine

For a small "Zoo" this has an excellent display of a variety of animals. Enjoyed feeding time with the keeper that answered all of our questions as trivial as they might have been. - G-kids fell in love with the white lion with a beautiful full mane. Will visit again

Sara Fudge

I want to give this place higher, because staff and the park are nice and pleasant. And not that I suspect the animals are abused in any ways, but considering the amount of room they have on the grounds, you'd think some of these enclosures would be bigger. I hate seeing the animals either pace back and forth or sit there huddled in a ball. also really annoying to see the bunny area unsupervised. the way some people treat those bunnies is HORRIBLE!

jess sutton

Amazing place to go with your kids and family. Animals are healthy and so well taken care of they are doing wonderful things there. Feeding time is at 130pm don't miss it it's awesome and informative. The staff is extremely friendly and wonderful. Just a wonderful and amazing place to go.

Utkarsh Choudhary

Great place to visit! So close to the east side, Durham region and fostering majestic beasts! I loved it. The lions, tigers, leopards and other ferocious felines are worth the sight. Staff is very helpful and cooperative.

Neela Maharaj

Great for small kids! The animals are close, the park is small so younger kids can cover it end to end in an hour. The cost for a yearly family pass is reasonable. The place has noticeably worn down over time though, not as well maintained as it was. They used to have more animals roaming around (e.g. goats) but not so much any more. The cages are small for such large cats, but the animals look healthy. They could use more benches and seating throughout the park though at shaded areas.

Michael Brennae

Overall the place is small and relatively clean. Few animals for viewing but worth seeing. The attitude of the food and souvenir store was poor at best. Felt like we were disturbing and bothering, even though the closing time was 5pm and it was only 4pm

Piyushi

Nice place to check out lions, tigers, cougars and all kinds of other jungle cats up close. The walking route was well marked and the description boards outside each enclosure was informative. Parking was free and washrooms were open (though not very clean). Masks are required only inside the office building and washrooms, but not necessary while walking in the open. It was not very crowded on a weekday afternoon.

Alex Vikhrov

A lovely little zoo that gives you a chance to see exotic and rare animals up close. I enjoyed my visit and recommend this zoo to all animal lovers. The animals here appear to be healthy and well taken care of. There is a variety of animals at this zoo, not just big cats!

Tammy Patterson

We had a great time here my son loved the camp hoping to go back again next year

M. Perrella

I love wild cats and animals and for something close to the city this is a great place to visit.

Creative Family

Good place to visit with kids.

Blair Topa

Took my two daughters here . We did the behind the scenes . I would highly recommend. From the moment you show up the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. The first lady in the office (I unfortunately forgot her name ) was so helpful , kind , fast , efficient. We then went through and toured the park. The cages seem small but I don't have the first clue on what they do after hours or proper sizes etc so I have no real comment on that. After we went through the park we did our behind the scenes experience. We chose turtoise, red foxes, and ruffed lemur. Our special treat is that we also got to see the kangaroo. First off I have never been able to be close to any of these animals in the past so for my self I was probably just as excited as my kids if not more. We had a guide by the name of April, she was very nice, easy going . She seemed very knowledgable of the animals and had a genuine bond with each. She was great with my kids, she's a great asset to your team. Now the animals we did get to see was the sweetest group. The Animals are very cute and soft.D an experience We will never forget , a memory for a life time. That's priceless for me. So thank you for running such a wonderful place, I will be back in the future for sure.

Vikki

Stayed at the B&B in the Jaguar Den and it was so fun! The room was themed which was cool, had it's own kitchenette so you could make your own dinner but we chose to go out so they showed us how to work the gate. The staff was SO awesome and super friendly and made you feel very welcome. Clean place to stay for the night loaded with snacks and breakfast and their own bottle of wine which was delish. The pricing can't be beat and you ger a discount on the behind the scenes which was incredible! We were the only ones there so we were able to roam the grounds freely at night which was incredible hearing all the lions roaring and wolves howling. Honestly any bad reviews about this place are bogus! They all focus on how the animals "don't have room to run or look unhealthy" like, you're VISITING A ZOO, full of hand raised wild animals, not a wildlife reserve in Africa...! They are all healthy and beautiful and their enclosures are well kept. The staff are all knowledgeable and SO friendly and it's so great to see endangered species being well kept, bred and studied this way. We have been many times and will continue to go and support this awesome place! 10/10

Shamama Shahreen

A wonderful family run wildlife park. The lions and tigers are always a joy to see. There is a blissful corner of the park dedicated to being the final resting groumds for pets. We buried out cat here in the Fall of 2016 and this place has since become my favorite place to visit. The staff are super curtious and helpful, and the owners are a lovely couple.

Ray Du

Amazing experience. Very friendly staff and if you are cat lover, definitely a must go as there is a lot of big cats.

Stefan Straub

Kids loved! Ages 6 and 3, a lot of cool cats

Jessica Morrison

Picked up my son from the awesome week he had at Zoo Camp and had a great behind the scenes tour! Love the lemurs!

kwykwyk (Kaze_13)

Visited on a Friday, had the place to ourselves. Animal enclosures were comparable to a larger zoo. Animals seem well maintained and energetic.

Stephanie T

Best place ever!! We spent the night there as well. After hours, you get to walk the whole place on your own. You have a full apartment for the night, all Safari Themed, and they put breakfast related foods (eggs, bread, yogurt, cheese, maple syrup, pancake mix, cereal, etc) and a bottle of wine in the kitchen fridge and cupboards for you. My daughter and I did the Behind the Scenes tour (hubby and son watched but couldn't touch) and got to meet 3 animals up close. We met and fed foxes, lemurs and pet a baby tiger. It rained all weekend, but that didn't stop us, and yes we got soaked lol. I also want to point out that this is a family run business of 3 generations and they LOVE their animals. We got to talk to the owners who started it and read up on the history. All the animals are so social, healthy and you can tell they are so happy where they are. Their habitats are better than most stables I have seen. The staff are so amazing and friendly. We loved it.

Dan Morris (Acanthophis)

Can't wait to go back.

TheSixMan Toronto

Definitely a place for big cat lovers. A wide variety of predators ranging from the high-leaping and nimble serval to the majestic and intimidating lion. Feeding tour was awesome and a must see. Only problem is that some cats are lazy and don't put on much of a show when food arrives. Most cats pass out right after feeding. Best time to go is probably prior to feeding which is 1:30. My tour guide, Summer, did an amazing job educating the public and ensuring they had a good time. Definitely worth the money. Very memorable and one for the books! Loved it!

Manu Sharma

Everyone here was very helpful and provided all sorts of wonderful information on their animals. I got to let a tiger, play with arctic wolves and went on their guided feeding tour. All their animals are clearly loved and treated extremely well. You can tell there's a great deal of love between the staff and the animals. The staff was also extremely kind to all who were visiting, patient and provided incredible service. I would highly recommend visiting and doing the behind the scenes tour! It's an experience I will not soon forget

Matthew Fernandez

Animals looked like they were treated very well and this place had zero "tiger king" vibes. Definitely will go back!

Michelle K.

Though it is nice to see exotic animals, the enclosures are quite small for most. Some of the animals pace back and forth. I really enjoy coming here for the most part. It is nice to see the donkeys and llamas roaming around and it is a cute little place to begin with.

John Walker

Fantastic place for the family. Lots of interesting animals and owls. Very knowledgeable staff in particular the owl keeper.

David Kozarichuk

A very nice collection of animals for a small town. Lots to do for kids. They have feeding tours, which are great because you get to see the animals active (instead of sleeping like most zoo visits). Very affordable, and they have a season pass.

Tommy K

Great alternative to the Zoo. Lots of natural habitat and your very very close to the cats. Interactive displays of the animal's and a very raw feel in this place that is built in someone's backyard. They started off with a lion and now this. A must see.

Denis Iahnes

Good place to visit with family and kids.

Steph J

Awful. Horrible conditions. Tiny, dirty cages. Sad animals. Disappointed I spent money. Half a mind to get them shut down. The cages aren’t regulation height either. I feel really bad for the animals. I’d also like to mention that there was plenty of extra space that was being used for nothing and all I could wonder was why they didn’t expand the cages for the animals instead of wasting the space? All the visitors need is a path to walk on. They don’t need a field. We have freedom outside

Mila Chern

We love it for 14 years. Great time with kids at all seasons

Seth Thomas

Was alittle runned down with things like goose poop and tall grass but overall it was still a cool experience. The animals were great and the servicepeople were very nice to interact with.

Alan George

Good for a 2 hr trip....

Charity K

I love going to Jungle Cat World. I grew up going to this zoo. My Grandparents and Mother would take me here at least once a summer. Now that I'm older I still visit on a yearly basis. The staff are very friendly and you can tell they love the animals they care for. Definitely a good place to take the family too (or even with a few friends lol).

Anchal Lalla

There are not enough good things I can say about the place, the staff and the owners-Wolf and Chris. The animals looked well taken care of. We stayed at The Lion's Den, it was awesome to roam the grounds at night. The room was well stocked with food (eggs, bread, cereal, fruit, chips), room was very clean, had a nice spacious bathroom. The best part was the balcony from where we could easily view the lions, the tiger cubs and the white lion cub. Behind the Scenes was once in a lifetime experience. It was incredible to be able to interact with the lion cub, lemurs and the serval cat. This was definitely the best part of my birthday trip to Canada. All the staff members were very friendly to talk to, and aswered our queries. They have a wide variety of cats, we did not expect that. Can't wait to go back and visit. There is a restaurant/gas station right across the street.

Kate Defaye

Wow. What an incredible experience! I took my fiance as part of his birthday present because he is in love with big cats and always wanted to pet a bobcat. We were absolutely not disappointed. He was able to interact with Bob the bobcat, as well as a baby tiger, a gorgeous Serval, and a little family of lemurs. We had a lovely day walking around the zoo - the feeding tour is a must! Then, we did the 2:30 behind the scenes experience and added on the fourth animal because meeting the baby tiger was an opportunity that was too good to pass up. He had an amazing time with all of the animals and it was such a memorable day. Truly fun for all ages!

JODY COOK

Great place to see the big cats .

Jess Wilson

If you love and care about animals, DO NOT GO here!! You'd be supporting keeping animals in captivity for profit, not conservation as they purport to do. Donate your money to a real conservation group rather than these exploiters!

Kirah32

It was lovely. Ended up meeting the owner. We spoke German and he told me about how he got started. It was very amazing. The animals were very good and out and about. We will be back.

James Day

Some animals were missing sadly. Giving a 4 star because the website and office posting are differnt, re: pricing (entrance fee) and feeding times.

Honey 2 Bee

The private tour was so great. So worth the money. You choose 3 animals out of like a dozen that you can touch feed cuddle and play with. I chose skunk lemurs and wolves. The lemurs were hilarious. The baby wolves were just like really cute rambunctious dogs. The skunk was adorable and huge and fat. Love love loved it.

St. Thomas

A lot of poo on the ground from the animals walking around and no real paths to use a stroller and get to see the animals well. The "play" area for the kids needs updating.

Ray

great... ????

Monique Wong (Momma Wong)

Very few visitors but social distancing protocols are in place. The animals looked healthy but hot. Did not see a lot of water out for them. We did enjoy our visit and will come back again maybe in the fall when it is cooler.

D Chan

Poor animals. They need more fundings.

Aimee Gavin

Visited after rain and it was fun but quite messy and muddy. Re gravel the paths or consider paving them. Better drainage needed.

Ali Shuja

It’s a good and fun place. Animals look fresh and healthy. Staff is really polite and friendly. The only reason I’m not giving it a 5 star is because i went on a really sunny day so couldn’t make most out of it. A very good place for kids. Parking is free.

Gregg Powless (Charter Rights)

Not like it once was. Cages were overgrown with weeds and many animals serval cats, wolves, bobcats, etc exhibit boredom behavior pacing back and forth along fence lines. Kept my granddaughter occupied for about an hour between goats and rabbits.

Emily Rose

Our behind the scenes guide was Ashley and she was amazing! Super knowledgeable and respectful of the animals. We had such an amazing time and I would recommend it to anyone!

Minnah Av

Big animals in small dirty cages that are barely up to standards of their natural habitats. Some of the animals seem very stressed and I dont know it because the people can go so close to their cages or because they know food will be served but either way my husband and I felt very very uncomfortable being there as if we were doing something bad. A lot of the animals who are group animals in real life were in a small cage by themselves passing in their cages. Place is very very very dirty as well. Feces everywhere. Cages are also very dirty and with alot of overgrown weeds... not the best and pretty expensive experience... Im not sure if the bad zoo is because they dont have enough funds or manpower or if they dont care because it seems like the initial intention was good but now the animals just seem sad and in the wrong place... Im not a fan to see animal for entertaining perposes... they should put more rules up for people to know how to behave too instead of parents letting their kids knock on the cages and yell at the animals or so on.... Only thing I liked was the farm animals and the wolves because they seemed happy and relaxed especially considering that their natural environment anyway...

Rose Hoekstra

My good experience began before we even went to the park. They had called us before our original reservation, apologizing due to an issue with the room we were supposed to be staying in that weekend. They booked us for two weeks from then, with a complimentary upgrade to the Safari Lodge suite as well as an additional discount on our Behind the Scenes experience. WOW that is great customer service. :) Everything about our stay was awesome. The highlight of my trip was probably meeting the animals. I gave the wolf pups belly rubs. I mean c'mon you can't say that every day lol. I would 100% go again. I told my husband I wanted to go at least 2 more times so we could try out the other rooms. The Safari Lodge suite was AMAZING. I'm only taking 1 star off because the bed was too firm but that's just a me thing. So yeah. I recommend this place. The animals are all well taken care of, and you can tell the keepers love them. Listen to the lions roar and the wolves howl while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine, or a coffee on your balcony. Nothing like it.

Kin rin

We loved the park! It is great opportunity to see wild animals so close.

Monica Mann

Just having completed my third overnight in ten years, I can safely say I’ve never once been disappointed with the custom service, Safari Lodge, or Behind the Scenes Tour. My daughter and nephew almost lost their minds playing with the lemurs. This is an absolutely must-do experience but you should stay over. In my opinion, it’s the only way to experience everything (ie. the roaring of the lions at night and howling of the wolves).

The animals seemed week loved and cared for.

marvin martin

Nice place for the day. The animals were great. The concession area could use more staffing.

DAVIS

Great place for your little ones to see some wildlife wirhout large crowds. The park has a small park to play as well.

Elsa Buendia Beneda

Me and my friends love the Cat's here, very friendly people in the office

M Sohail

Was here today, too bad the rain kinda shortened our trip. I will definitely come back, the little we saw makes us want to make sure to see the rest. A place to see all cats close by with an amazing staff.

Julia Whissell

This place looked like an amazing sanctuary online but upon arrival it was horrifying. I was sad that I purchased my tickets online in advance as I would have never supported them otherwise. This place is the equivalent to Tiger King. Their animals look under fed, their cages aren't kept and I truly don't believe any of their animals have ever had the chance to run. I don't think this place should be supported any longer. For the wellbeing of their animals, they should be turned over to the Toronto Zoo - A place that has the staff, researchers, and funding to take good care of them. I'm sure people find it very exciting at being able to touch and interact with the animals but we need to think what's best for them and this place IS NOT it.

Jason Rice

Everyone is really nice and are really excited about sharing information about the animals. Definitely suggest the behind the scenes.

Lorraine Maxwell

Surprised to find this gem in a city I've passed many times. Great, large animals especially the lions, puma and tigers. Some improvements are definitely needed in the cafeteria/sitting areas. But from a wildlife perspective it was great and and feeding the llamas and goats is icing on the cake.

Mafaaz Nayyar

Very small geographic footprint but packed with special animals throughout. Kids loved the interactive sessions with the fox and lemurs

Diana Greenham

Animals were amazing to see... watched a feeding and got a great deal of knowledge during the feeding .. beautiful place, well taken care of... They even have a donkey and lamas walking around ... Awesome place.. would definitely recommend for a family outing ????

Melissa M

It looked like a great putting for us and the kids. It was soaked and muddy everywhere. I could understand if it was like downpouring, but it was just spitting and had been dry the days prior. My boyfriend had been there before and was quite disappointed. He mentioned there being more animals and being cleaner and more to do. Ah well we enjoyed it. Glad we used a wag jag coupon though. I would have been pretty angry paying full price.

Don

Always enjoy our visits and staying overnight on the property. Animals are well cared for, love to play, and they put on a show at feeding time.

Ms. Brown

Love this place. I'd choose here over the regular zoo anyday. The layout is like once giant oval circle and it is possible to see all animals in one day. The cages are almost 360 degrees and you can get up closer than you can in a zoo so you can see the animals up close! Great place to take children too price is so worth it.

Ingrid Herzog

It is a nice place. Friendly staff. Animals well fed, not sure if the enclosures are quite big enough...

Cierra Turner-Bailey

My boyfriend surprised me with a behind the scenes visit this past weekend and I absolutely loved it! It's a small zoo but very neat and clean and you can tell that the people who work there love the animals and have fun. It was such a great unique experience and I know I would love to go back again to pet the Timberwolf Raven! She is such a beauty.

Dave Breau

Such a beutiful day, my famoly and I all enjoyed it, fun time especially while eating and having a turkey just walk up to visit.

irushi de silva

Best vacation we had in a while. we were a large group of people, therefore we booked both rooms upstairs. it was the most amazing experience ever. we had the zoo to ourselves from 5 to 10 pm. Kids had a great time petting some of the animals. staff was wonderful. so many complementary food and drinks. we loved it.

Tahir Uz Zaman

Good place to spend 2-3 hours with kids

Cecilia Vegas

Lovely place, healthy animals, well kept and clean living spaces, although a little small for the big animals.

Ganesh Krishnan

We used a Groupon voucher and in my opinion, it's not worth even the Groupon price. Not just the toilet, the entire place is UNCLEAN and SMELLY. The 1:30pm feeding tours weren't organized properly - you can barely hear the presenter and there is no interaction. Even the animals seemed disinterested and were not looking forward to the feeding. There are no clear directions or marking, nobody to help or answer queries. You won't feel welcomed - pretty much lost and on your own. Clearly, these guys are surviving (and I hope they make enough money to feed the animals and staff) only on Groupon deals. And for us, it was totally not worth any penny as we traveled all the way from GTA West in traffic. Not a pleasant experience at all, I didn't even want to choose 1star (Google just forced me to!)

Vincent Serban (Vicentiu)

Nice quiet afternoon walk of about 2 hrs in relaxed mode, in a private zoo park. You have your lions, tigers, pumas, leopards, cute rabbits, goats, and even the always funny monkeys and lemurs! Forgot the wolves, quite a show too. Kids have fun, parents get to explain away all their knowledge, good memories. It's not the Toronto Zoo, but the price is also 3-4 times less. Not much to eat around, so better come prepared with some snacks. Friendly staff too, very relaxed.

Michelle De Souza

Love this place. It is worth the hour road trip from the city. The feeding at 1:30pm daily is really fun and knowledgeable. I also recommend the behind the scenes program. Its nice to get close and personal with the animals.

miss mushgaan

Best place for kids.. They enjoyed lot.Best time was feeding time.Dont miss that feeding time its very informative.

This gives you an experience that regular zoos do not. You will be ~1.5m away from fully grown lions and Siberian tigers, and can see the flies on their faces. There are many other animals here aside from hug cats, such as birds, wolves, lemurs and goats. This was a fantastic experience for only $20, and is absolutely worth it.

Margarita S

Loved the experience. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and engaging with visitors. Throughout this COVID experience, the staffing kept their distance, the right measures were put into place and followed (prebooking visit times). Most of all, the animals look incredibly taken care of. I would return back in a heart beat, appreciate the amazing experience!

Solaris

My stay at jungle cat world was breathtaking experience. I was able to see lions, tigers, leopards, snow leopards, Puma cougars, Timberwolves, hyenas, spider monkeys and much much more. At this Wildlife Park only for $20 you can see all these animals. For an additional fee and inadvanced booking you can schedule a up close and personal meeting with a guide and get to see and touch these creatures up close. The park is small and there is not a huge diversity of things to see however do not let that keep you from visiting as these are very rare and spectacular creatures that may not be found in the wild very often so if you have the chance and are near by, give this place a visit. At 1:30pm they feed and give a small brief tour of each of the animals. I personally plan to visit this place many more times. If you do end up going please say hi to Ed the hyena for me.

Dee L.

Awesome. Saw lots of animals

allison

We spent about 2/3 hours here. We were there for the first feeding and followed staff to watch several feedings of the big cats. It was very nice place. Our first time there. We also sat and had a bite to eat. Also bought some stuffies from the souvenir shop. I purchased a year membership, so will definitely be going back.

Zeiad El Kady

It's nice to see all the animals. They seem to care for the animals. The enclosures do seem a bit small for the animals, but because it is privately funded that is why. Small so doesn't take a lot of time to get through it. My son loved spending time with rabbits. It is nice to see all the animal feedings as well.

Daphne Chen

We took our girls early Sunday with a picnic in tow. We arrived just in time to witness live feedings of the various cats. The girls spent oven an hour inside the bunny pen just petting the rabbits. Mark Biddle

Great place for kids, reasonably priced and the grounds are kept spotless. Taking my 3 year old grandson this summer.

Lisa Zerafa

We got so close to the animals and there was so much room for the kids to run around. The bunny feeding area was a hit with the kids too!

Brittany Chhay

We stayed in the lions den overnight. Excellent experience. The fridge was stocked with breakfast items including juice, eggs, milk, cheese, bread ect. As well as pancake mix, syrup, cereal and a bottle of wine! There were also snacks in the room for free. The room was big cat themed, but otherwise nothing out of the ordinary. Clean , fresh linens ect. The park itself was well kept, the animals looked well fed, i just wish the enclosures were larger. There is lots of space to utilize so I'm hoping in the future they will expand enclosures. Amazing evening listening to the lions roar and the wolves howl. By far some of the most amazing sounds I've ever heard. Overall excellent experience and I can't wait to go back when they open the up close animal encounters so we can meet some animals!

Jamie Cairns

Great for the discounted price (since we took advantage of the Groupon deal) Not sure I'd have liked it so much at full price. Enclosures small...

•IceStorm• (i review places)

One of the best places in Ontario took my family here to pet a tiger and wow what a day getting to see all the animals. all well taken care of and such a knowledgeable and helpful friendly staff made are day will be an experience will never forget thank you all for such a great day and hands on experience

Aranya S

Went for behind the scenes tour. It was great to meet the animals and understand what they did. Wonderful staff.

Kimy

We brought my 10 month old daughter and we all loved it! Got close with the animals and watched them get fed. Also theirs lots of animals u can pet too. We are getting the season pass next time!!

Britney Wicken

All the staff are so friendly and love the animals, our behind the scenes tour was one of the most amazing experiences - Mowgli you are a treasure! We also stayed the night and the rooms are very spacious. With the overnight you get access to the zoo at all times and to be able to take an early morning walk while most of the animals were just waking up was beautiful. While on our walk the howls of all the wolves from the different areas of the zoo was breathtaking. We will definitely be coming here again!

Jessica Frank

The cages were way too small, worn down and the water was in a plastic recyle container. The weeds inside the cage were waist high and it leads me to believe that these animals deserve more care then they are currently being given!

Yasyin LIU

Excellent experience. Highly recommend the ticket called ‘behind the scene’, it’s such a wonderful chance for you to closely play with the animals that you can’t really see in the city. The staff were so nice and friendly and welcoming and have a good sense of humor????. But don’t forget to wear rain boots after rainy days!! It was really muddy!!????

Jenny MK

Amazing place!!!

Lyric Lotton

Loved the visit. Very intimate. I wish it wasn't so muddy, but overall it was Awsome. I recommend going at feeding time.

Hasi S

We stayed at the bed and breakfast and also took part in the 'Behind the Scenes' program earlier this summer and it was truly an unforgettable experience. When you take the time to speak to the staff members and the owner, Wolfe, it is clear that they truly care for these animals. They support charities that fight for animal rights and extinction. It's a great place of fun and education for kids and a wonderful local business to support. Loved every minute of it.

G Singh

Great atmosphere with open space for family and friends to see a wide variety of animals and decor in the park along with a playground for the kids. Food and snacks also available, it's a pleasant and fun place!

Slava Peker

Great adventure for young kids.

Dan B

Great staff very friendly and helpful!! Place is a bit run down owners don't seem to really care anymore about it, they definitely need to make the cages bigger for some of the animals.

Justin Gonsalves

Great park and zoo. Also enjoyed the bed and breakfast. Highly recommended!

Sabrina Perfetto

I love animals and normally I refuse to visit parks like this but i did out of curiosity and regret it deeply. Seeing these beautiful creatures in these conditions broke my heart. I understand the temptation to see such rare cats so close …

Sarah R

Nice but cages are overgrown with weeds & animals need more space but overall kids will have fun.

Robert Wynter

Very friendly employees they animals look like the have been taken very good care of

Renata Palffy

While the park itself is ok the enclosures should be at least twice the size in my opinion. The animals looked well and the kids enjoyed seeing them.

Maria Elizabeth

We went here with my mother in law and husband’s 5 year old twin siblings... my MIL and the kids enjoyed it as there were many different large cats and other animals to see up close, and the staff were great. There was interesting information to read about the animals which was nice. But it really bothered me how small the enclosures were. One of the tigers was literally pacing the entire time which made my husband and myself feel really bad. I Wish the park would keep less animals and that way they could maybe each have more space! I am not an expert though, so I don’t know. Wild animals in captivity was never and is never going to be ideal but we should at least make the environment as suitable as we can right?

Rockett Man

Fun for the family or couples. Excellent variety of jungle cats and other animals. The park includes many birds. The staff is young and very enthusiastic. We were lucky enough to arrive at feeding/tour time and we were given interesting information about each cat. It is outside so I suggest proper footwear on days soon after a rainstorm.

Scott Villeneuve

Excellent place to visit, nice size for a zoo. Impossible to get lost which is a bonus (the zoo is a circle). A absolute must see.

Umama Syed

Very nice Park...kids love it

Xin Y (romoDachi)

big cats!!! and lovely bunnies, geese, too.

Charlene Robbins

Overall a good experience. A friend and I decided to do the behind the scenes tour which was awesome. Petting a tiger and having a kangaroo eat a banana right out of my hand! The staff treat the animals with care and we were told several times that we may need to pick different animals to go behind the scenes with because if one of the animals isn't up to visiting/playing with us they wouldn't force them to. It was great to have the experience of interacting with animals like this and I found all the staff to be so polite, friendly and caring. However, the size of the enclosures did leave me a little upset. A lot of the animals pace back and forth and I feel that's almost the only thing they have room to do. I wish they would have room to run and jump and that the birds would have room to really fly. If they could make the enclosures a little bigger this would have been the best experience of my life. Unfortunately I left feeling sad for these animals instead of leaving feeling grateful for an unforgettable experience.

Ilyas Ahmed

Beautiful animals here. You can pet and feed the pygmy goats and llamas. They have Amur leopards and Amur tigers. Looks like animals are healthy and happy. highly recommend for animal loving families

Erin D E

Really sad, run down place with giant cats locked in tiny cages. Several lions were pacing back and forth, clearly distressed at their living situation. Reminded me of a 'Tiger King' type of place. Please avoid

Ashley Magyar

Very knowledgeable staff. Small place compared to Toronto zoo for example. Go during the feeding tour to get your monies worth. Easy access right off the 115.

Muhammad

It's a nice place but extremely small, the Lions a huge, probably the biggest I've ever seen in my life. Some areas do seem like they are not maintained.

Calvin Cox

Amazing family owned zoo that is creating a positive healthy impact on wildlife. Offering amazing programs like Safari Zoo Camp and behind the scenes tours. Well worth the trip! I used to attend zoo camp as a kid and to this day 10+ years I still visit as it has made such a lasting impression!

Nazan Mehar

It was a good experience with our 5 year old.. Rain boots are must these days!! Super muddy

Jessica Bowering

Price is expensive for such a loacation. Fencing areas are too small for the size of animal(s) in them.fencing is doubled on most making it difficult to take photos.

Alison Merchand

Great day with my grandsons for the last day of summer break. Wasn't overly crowded. Cant wait to go back. You can call and arrange to go in the cage with some of the animals

Alexander Khvatov

Wow! Great Behind the Scenes program. Candice was an amazing tour guide, who lead my wife and I to interact one-on-one with a set of wild lemurs, fantastically enthusiastic foxes, and very playful little lion cubs! We had a great day and the experience was unforgettable. With great value, we will both cherish this trip for years to come. Another great aspect of our trip were definitely the courteous, knowledgeable staff, who you could see care a lot for the animals and are very nice to interact with. Thank you Jungle World! And a separate thank you to Candice, for being such a wonderful tour guide!!!

joanne tauro

Too good to be True...... Fantastic, Amazing, Loved it all. Photos Tell it all!

Greg Domagala

This little hidden gem off the beaten path was absolutely amazing. From the minute we got there through the 3 plus hours we spent on site, including a behind the scenes experience, everything was above and beyond. First off, all of the staff are very kind, amicable, patient with kids and dedicated to their mission of giving the animals a good place to live given the circumstances (not in the wild) The variety of felines assembled by this small establishment is amazing. It's like going to a huge zoo but seeing all the felines on site in one smaller, friendlier and less crowded environment. Behind the scenes was absolutely awesome. We got to spend time with Adriana and we went to feed the cougar, pet the giant turtle as well as, our highlight, spend some time in the lemur's enclosure with having the lemurs come to sit on us jump on us and eat from our kids hands. The entire place feels safe and is small enough to have our older kids (8 and 10) walk around autonomously without the worry of loosing them. The ground staff are friendly and were there to answer questions. The fact that the place is somewhat dated does not matter as everything is clean and safe. We will definitely return when our youngest is a little older and would want to try the lodge experience so we can "be" with the animals at night.

Angela Wood

Amazing little Gem to take the kids to. We all had a blast, packed a little picnic and even got to run back and forth with a playful lion. We missed the feeding that is at 1:30pm which was upsetting but we will be going back! I only wish that the animals had more space to run around as some enclosures seemed small for wild animals. They are definatly more natural than the zoo enclosures which was nice.

Krista McKay

Jungle cat is one of my favourite places. I paid extra to play with the tiger cub, wolf pups and lemurs. One of the best experiences of my life!

kelli yang

Recommend their behind the scene program. Worth every penny. Will definitely do it again with other animals.

Michelle Bouganim

Incredible staff and owner!

Tyrone Wheeler

Without a doubt, the best $20 I've spent on a zoo of any type. The animals all seemed quite active, and somewhat quite friendly. There were quite a selection of animals as well, and they looked as though they have been well taken care of. I recommend this place for anyone that has an hour or so to just drop by and view these wonderful creatures.

Mike Lewis

I cannot say enough good things, the animals are well taken care of. The staff is very knowledgeable, and more than happy to help. Behind the sence is a must for anyone who loves widcats.

Christina Mohabir

All ages from toddlers to seniors. Lots of spots to sit and rest. Calm and very laid back atmosphere. Animals look happy and staff is amazing

Ling Ling

I took my bf there and he really had fun watching the animals get feed. We loved the experience and on how close we can see the animals. The employee who feed the animals did an excellent job describing the animals. Some animals are becoming extinct so I think it is important to understand how the animals are being affected by the environment. People can donate money or food to help.

VICTORIA C

Small zoo. But there's a good variety of animals. I saw a few ppl doing meet and greets - close up with some of the aninals. It was sad to see such small cages for some of the larger cats but I'm not sure of an alternative

Awesome experience. Room, & staff were very friendly. Highlight was the Behind the Scenes. Highly recommend to go here!!

Caitlin McLaughlin

Always an amazing experience when we go - got to feed the cougar and jaguar, and play with the lemurs :) My favourite things is that you can always feel the love everyone there has for the animals in their care

Albro Raheja

Like the place because I was able to see all animals, however these animals were caged and looks tired of it.

SarahJane Crudden

We always have a great time at Jungle Cat world. It’s a small zoo with a friendly vibe. I love the big cats and wolves.

Channa Gurusinghe

Small Zoo ! Really good for kids. The bunny pit is the highlight since kids can go there & pet them

Julia Romano

Fun for the whole family!

Chris Williams

Stayed in the Jaguar den for a night. It was really nice. Great decor!! Met and talked with the owner Wolf. He is a fantastic individual and so are the rest of the staff there. You get to see the animals close up (especially if you do the behind the scenes). When it gets dark you get a whole new experience with Lions roaring at each other. Great place, great people, just love it and will be going back!

Sharon Bonnycastle

Fantastic for the whole family. Baby tigers and a baby cougar & white Lions WHAT!!! Come on out & enjoy 10 acres of land.

Gabrielle Pelchat

Amazing park! Staff are very knowledgeable! Highly recommend the feeding tour! You can get pretty close to a lot of exotic animals and learn about them too!

J D Home lawn

We visit the zoo for our elderly for some entertainment while camping. The zoo animals especially the bigger animals , had us conceded because of their space. Their cages are very tiny compared to other zoos where they can roam away from visitors if they feel the need to. Animals should be able to choose if they want to be seen, by the visitors Overhaul the animals have been alright not shy or feelings anger and seemed cared for, so far what we could see. Zoo was clean and staffs where helpful, and helpful when ask questions. We all know a zoo helps to keep animals alive if they threatened in the wild, and especially animals raised by hand in the zoo are most likely not surviving in the wild, while they however should be roaming free within enough space. I hope this zoo has extra space behind the public access for the endangered animals.

Eric Arnold

Great stop for kids, half way between the kawarthas and Toronto.

Shannon Larkin

A great place to go during covid as you are able keep distance and enjoy the animals. Heard some roaring which was fun! Love the wild watch tower, great view.

Matt Reynolds

This place is wonderful. I brought my girlfriend here because she LOVES big cats, and we are not disappointed. The owners and staff seem to really care about these animals and it shows in how healthy and happy they seem. The lodging is very cozy and themed appropriately. We love the jaguar den!

Konrad P

Excellent place to take family and kids. Surprisingly many lions and tigers, more than the Toronto Zoo. More wolves as well and variety. Highly recommend

Ivana Petrovic

Wonderful place and amazing animals ❤

Kyle Peters

Place was great. Actually had lions.. i was shocked. And you can see the animals closer than at a zoo. The lion even got right near the cage and growled.

Kat Connor

You can get really close to the animals, and some of the enclosures can be viewed from 360 degrees, so it's easier to see animals. Lots of big cats, but also lots of wolves. There's a big tower you can climb which lets you see some of the animals better. Free-roaming donkey and alpacas are super friendly and let you pet them while they roam. You can make it around the park in 1 to 2 hours, depending how much time you stop to observe/interact with the animals. Great place to take the kids for a morning or afternoon!

Brandon “Spencer” Bansingh

Thanks to all the staff working hard to take care of all the animals. I loved all the animals. Captivity is better if we are repopulating the endangered species I just wish all the big cats could get more space to run free.

Melissa Calberry

You are required to make a reservation and pay online they aren't accepting walk ins right now. My son is 3 and loved it, my daughter 13 also enjoyed it. It was a little difficult to push the stroller around but it rained heavily yesterday which was the contributing factor normally there wouldn't be an issue.

Remykin

This is a lovely family owned zoo with an bed and breakfast on site. We paid for the behind the scenes experience which was $125 each which was alright but we had picked the kangaroo which didn't want to interest with us so we got to choose another and we picked the serval cat which is pretty much a giant house cat lol. We got to interest with ring tailed lemurs which was my favorite part of our experience and the tiger was grouchy so we had to keep our distance unfortunately. If you want to be able to feed the tigers or lions, I recommend that you go when they are younger than 1 month. There was ample parking which was free and the bed and breakfast was lovely and clean. Overall, it was a good experience but I wouldn't do it again. Recommended for animal lovers!

Alex Judge

Quite a few animals to see. During the feeding tour you get to see the animals be more active. We stayed there overnight which was really neat. You could go onto the grounds at night and see the animals then.

Laura Bennett

When I visited this place I left feeling very sad for the animals. Some were completely alone, in small cages, and pacing. They deserve better.

Randy Flint

Nice place to take the family. Lots of lions tigers. Even some young animals. The grandkids and us add a ball. The family pass for the season is well worth it.

Chris Zajchowski

We have been going here for years and always have enjoyed it.

Impress Me With your business

We go almost every year, the animals are treated well and loved. This is one of our most favourable places to go , we adore big cats. Clean park, nice people, beautiful scenery

MISO MOM

This zoo is so personal. What I mean by personal is, animals are just walking around the zoo! I took a selfie with Alpacas. And my husband and I purchased some kind of pass online which was $90 per person. We met 3 different animals by going into the cages to feed & pet them. It was extremely fun.

Socrates Celestial

The animals are well kept and respected. The handlers were exceptional. Our guide was Cairo and she was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. It might seem expensive, however taking care of these beautiful creatures cannot be cheap so I felt good to pay because I felt as though it helps care for the animals. A must go

Baseet Hameed

Great place to take kids and adult alike. Anyone with an appreciation for wildlife will love this place. All big cats were easily visible and we never felt close to such amazing animals. Goats loved getting pet by us. All the animals were really cool and there was a large variety of animals to see. The cockatoo danced for us! If you time it right, you can see feedings. Random donkey peacocks and llama or alpaca type animal walking about. They were all friendly. Place wasn't crowded and despite covid, I never felt I had to make room for others to see. We could enjoy watching each animal fully. All the staff we encountered were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They seem passionate about the animals. I can't say enough good things, this place was a fantastic experience for our family.

al-Fajr 1428

Excellent small place to visit for kids and adults. Many different jungle cats are here and interesting descriptions for each of them. Prices are reasonable and nice friendly staff.

Yirina Dominguez

I would love to give this place a better review, however I wouldn't be doing the right thing. The three stars are for the efforts to feed the cats and the fact that they are contributing to keep some endangered felines safe. Having said that, there is lots of room for improvement: - The park in general is not clean, there is birds feces all around - The playground area needs maintenance - Lunch menu is limited - The outside eating area seems to be the natural habitat of a turkey and some peacocks, which would be very nice if they wouldn't want to eat your food our your kid's one. - The cats are beautiful, however we found it too difficult to take good pictures because the cages structure

Aimee Gavin

Visited after rain and it was fun but quite messy and muddy. Re gravel the paths or consider paving them. Better drainage needed.

Jerome Archer

Incredible experience! Highly recommend! The staff there is knowledgeable and friendly!

Ice creamman2011

Very nice small place but very nice because you can pet animals and you can see animals closer than Toronto zoo

David Lougheed

Wonderful small zoo. You can get close to the animals.

Kreyz

When I went here I was heart broken. A couple of young children were running around while carrying a baby goat so young that the dried up umbilical cord was still attached to it. The poor little guy was making all kinds of noise trying to get away from the children but nobody said a word to them. It was sickening. The cages for the animals were far too small, but the animals were fed and looked healthy. There was a very friendly cockatoo that was happy to say hello. Definitely somewhere I will never return, and I advise any animal lovers to stay away. Support locations that are more interested in the benefits of the animals.

Katia's Korner

Great place to take the kids! You can't pet the animals because of COVID but beautiful animals all the same. No more than an hour walk-through

Huda Shah

Amazing experience! The animals are super close-up and well cared for!

Crystal Baird

The animals were so sad. Two Fox's got into a fight infront of myself and the toddlers I was with. Paths not well kept and no shade.

Dan Motovlogs (DMotovlogs)

I took my girlfriend here to check out the animals on a more personal level due to how close you are from these beautiful exotic birds, cats and other animals. Both she and I absolutely loved our first time there. All of the animals are very relaxed other than the monkeys and lemurs which love to yell at each other. Overall, I 100% reccomend this trip to anyone with an appreciation of wildlife and who loves animals because you will see many close up. They also have a program in which you can book out animals for an extreme close up and personal time with them. I attached a bunch of pictures I took of the wildlife park below. PS. There are two Alpacas that roam on their own which I absolutely loved. They are extremely calm and well-mannered as well.

Bhavin Mistry

Great place for young and old. We went with rainy weather, so it wasn't ideal, but was a great experience nonetheless. Animals look well kept and safe. We took part in their "feeding tour"; the guide was very knowledgeable about the animals and provided a lot of personal information about each animal.

Jim Patterson

I liked the smaller atmosphere and intimacy of the location and staff. You can get surprising close to the enclosures. Animals seem well cared for. Free parking.

Mohammed Musthafa

Very nice place. Enjoyed it.

Jodi Sonoda

Staff was unbelievable. Animals were calm and affectionate with the keepers. You could tell they were happy. Highly recommend the behind the scenes tour, Luna the Fennec Fox was amazingly soft and Murphy the cervil cat was like a giant house cat. The lemurs were carrying their babies and it was so cute. Highly highly highly recommend.

Sherman D'Souza

Very unique experience of staying overnight with the animals so close.... Wolfram, the owner, was super nice and very interesting to talk to. Will definitely stay here again..

Ashley Megna

Really enjoyed the guided feeding tour. It was very informative. My son enjoyed interacting with the rabbits and getting to feed the goats.

Pamela Martel

In some ways it was good. There were beautiful animals to visit. The graveyard was a sweet idea with a nice story behind it. However, I found a lot of the animals to be in quite small enclosures and it dosen't appear that they are very happy. I could be wrong, it was only an observation. There are bathrooms, a gift shop, a few food options and a play ground. Parking is free.

Vanessa Anton

The bunny area was my daughters favourite. I came with a friend and their kids. I felt so bad coming here, the enclosures are so small and the grass and bushes were overgrown in them. My daughter wasnt interested in the animals in the cages but she liked the free roaming donkey and llama. While she enjoyed herself I don't know if I would return here as I have an ethical dilemma. The staff were friendly and this place is great for toddlers and small children up to 7 or 8 yrs old.

Matthew Funston

Absolutely amazing experiance. Great little zoo off of highway 115/35. All the staff were friendly...the grounds are kept in great condition, great animals to get very up close to, animals themselves (besides Lions and Tigers) are socialized and friendly creating an amazing experiance and day. Definitely going back, zoo has options online to get up close and personal with some animals as well as an overnight package stay. Animals are all very well taken care of and loved here. You can catch the owner walking around fixing things and socializing with everyone. That's something youd never get a chance to do with the larger zoo's so it's a testament to him and all the years of his hard work and devotion to protecting these animals.

Cheri Boone

enclosures are too small for a wild cat or any other animals. I would not suggest bringing anyone here but thats just my opinion in not liking wild animals being locked up for our pleasure.

K Irani

Loved it. Kids had a blast chasing the peacocks and geese.

Kevin Sharma

Fun, intimate zoo experience. Some animals wander freely

Huxy The хаски

Best place my mom took me too, god bless the owner was super friendly, and told us how he built the place and his story♡♡! Super awesome to go with ur family 100% (this was back in 2017) still love the place to this day

Nancy reviewer

Love this place as every wild cat is close enough to see its beauty! The staff who did the tour was very knowledgeable and friendly, had great time in winter and I can't wait to come back in the summer.

Nobarun Dey

A bit expensive comparing to the attractions! Kids were looking for ice cream and the Cafe hours was until 5 pm but they closed earlier. Washroom needs to be more clean. Most of the animals were sleeping or inactive. We mostly like the Peacock ???? dance! One kid were chasing a Peacock and nobody was saying anything. Staff should be more vigilant! Overall not bad to spend couple of hours!

Richard Ding

It is small place first of all. Walk around it probably take 30m. There are some fun activities, so maybe you can spend one hour top.

Matt Harvey

Beautiful creatures, and they are treated unbelievably well. We spent hours with one of the trainers and they have amazing bonds with the animals. I highly recommend this place!! A true gem. So much more intimate than the large zoos.

courtney craig

Amazing place

Pete Danis

Great little zoo nice people

Helen LaFrain

Excellent place to see animals. Kids will love it. If you interacted with some of the animals you had a treat!! Lemurs jump on your shoulder to be fed. Great experience!

Ashley Mutch

I have been to Jungle Cat World several times, and have loved it each time I have been there. This past time, we spent the night in the Bed and Breakfast. It was lovely! So spacious and a really great space. It was really interesting being able to wander the park later in the evening to see the animals when they are more active. All the sounds we could hear from the room were incredible. We enjoyed our morning coffee to the sounds of the wolves and lions! Such an incredible experience.

Sai Paranjape

Wonderful place to visit! The cats and other animals are wonderful and bring a smile to your face. A cute zoo for everyone to visit! Been coming for 4 years every summer, and it's my favourite place to visit!

Shelby Forbes

Great zoo!

Greg Dale

We took the Behind The Scenes tour and got to pet a lion cub, hand feed a lemur family, and hold a baby fox. Feeding Tour was also a great time to view the big cats up close.

Andrew Schmidt

Fantastic. Kids and I loved it. Staff were so helpful and enthusiastic. Behind the scenes was phenomenal. Both kids already telling everyone they see that they had a ring tailed lemur on their head.

Pun Chan

Fun times especially during feeding time. People that work there truly care for the animals. I wish the cats had bigger cages for them to roam.

Brett Washbrook

I have lived in Durham for 8 years and never knew this place existed. What a treat to find this place. Variety of animals was amazing and they all appeared to be well cared for. My two kids, ages 5 and 2 had a blast, as did the adults!

Suzanne Castell

I love jungle cat world I love that it's a family-owned-and-operated there's a lot of sacrifice to maintain that jungle cat World animals has been treated with respect with love and care it's a very nice family outing simple and enjoyable

J.E. S.

Great way to see and interact with majestic animals. The place is very well kept and the trip to Jungle Cat World totally worth it ????????????????????????????

Steven Wilson

It was awesome! The animals were plentiful & the stuff were awesome. Totally recommend, the year pass isn't expensive either

Tashfin Awal

Amazing opportunity to connect with wildlife and endangered species! Even in the winter time, the staff are still cheery and friendly, and the animals are interactive and playful as ever. The place is well designed and friendly for the family. We did the Behind The Scenes: Tiger Cub Adventure and it was great!

CriticalAir

Truly an amazing once in a life time experience. The animals are well cared for, calm, well fed, appear healthy and content. The staff at this park goes over and above to be helpful and informative. The bed and breakfast stay was the best value and incredible as all of the big cats wake up in the evening. Roaring and talking amongst themselves, not to mention the wolves, birds, and other nocturnal animals that you see only sleeping during daylight hours. A must for couples, families and friends!

Tamara Batryn

We love going there. The kids love it and always ask to go. They love getting to get closer to the animals and to go for the feeding tour.

Tariq Jawaid

Its a small zoo with few animals but it's well maintained.

vibha kiran

Wonderful and very clean! You can see the jungle cats from close!

Nancy Gilbert

A great little zoo to visit! Watching the feedings at one thirty and listening to the description of each animal was very interesting. Up close and personal with all of the animals was also a bonus. We enjoyed our afternoon there.

Kelli Baker

We buried our dog in their pet cemetery when I was a child. They are one of the few pet cemeteries I even know of. I've visited several times over the past 30 yrs. They're always friendly, have friendly animals with large personalities. As far as we can tell the animals are very well cared for. I've had a nice time every time I've gone there. We've always been treated very well.

Rafael E

Did not like the upkeep of the place with such rare animals in captivity. Although they probably were rescued, it felt they needed a larger encapture like the Toronto Zoo. Will not be back again due to the site looking like it hasnt been updated since 1980s.

Jody Wackett

Went for an outing, thinking we could spend the day. While the animals are beautiful and fun to look at, spending the day seemed impossible. After about an hour and a half we were headed out the door. There is a feeding tour you can take, which might have been nice, but it was still over an hour away for us. Watching the staff interact with the animals, they have genuine affection for them. There is a small cafeteria style restaurant that looked to have a decent selection and want overpriced. I enjoyed the visit but would only return with a Groupon. Entrance fees are high for what you get.

Rose Deluca

I love that it is not expensive.I love its fun watching the animals get fed.The animals are close where you can see them .Some other places its hard to see them. One time we went it started to rain, they brought us out umbrellas so we could still stay.Very friendly. After reading someone else's review i hafto say i disagree with your findings. Some of these animals are close to being extinct If they were put back in the wild they would surly be poached .I feel they are doing them a service.

Cindy Woz

Very fun for kids. Our boys loved it, feeding tour is really cool to see as well.

Francis kfw

The animals are treated well at this zoo and it is a lot of fun. The feeding tour starts at 1:30pm daily and very informative. Free parking. I left feeling really good.

Da Ria

Love this small zoo, beautiful animals, easy trail for kids. The petting area and kids playground are closed right now, but washrooms are open.

Ryan Lubinski

A lot of people that have anything negative to say about this place have posh tiny hearts and should get over themselves. Certainly the place has a bit of character to it, but it's a small zoo off the beaten path a bit that houses a collection of rare and endangered cats and some other hard to find/see wildlife. There's a lot of magic to be found here. You can reserve a slot in advance to feed or pet or get one-on-one behind the scenes with some of the animals found here. We came mostly to see the striped hyena, Ed. Sadly we did not get to since Ed has been a bit lonely BUT he will be getting a girl to relax him next month (October 2018). We will definitely be back someday to see these majestic rare animals again. Beyond that, you'll get to see these guys up closer than you normally would at any other larger city zoo. We'll definitely be coming back to spend the night here at the bed and breakfast which looks like a FANTASTIC cozy place to enjoy. Imagine being in Africa and waking up to the lions, tigers, and other big cats roaring, but without the huge expensive trip to the African Safari. :)

K Y

Came just for a general admission visit. Had a great time, got to be just a couple feet away from the cats with two wire fences in between. Feeding tour was informative and cool. Highly recommend!

David MacLean

Fun place to visit. Their behind the scenes tour is great. The kids loved it.

Sam Fransham

What a great night away. The over night stay is worth it to see the animals come alive at dusk. The cougars on site have amazing personalities and the snow leopards are also quite the acrobats. Bailey is an amazing tour guide and a fantastic staff member. Our behind the scenes tour with her was amazing and her passion for the animals shows. I recommend a stop here.

It was really small and there is reallnot that much to do either than just look at animals like the zoo. The only part my sister likes is the bunnies. She likes it becsuse you can touch them and pet them. And that's the only thing that my sister like.

Ziad Rahman

Good place to take kids. The animals are all pretty close by so you can get a good look at them.

Paul Gent

An excellent and well kept private zoo. Family visited and had an up close and personal experience with a number of the animals. Staff working with animals were great and very pleasant.

roger be

We have a pet there, at the cemetery and they helped us with everything and the grounds are very well taken care of.

Patricia K

Variety of animals there was very interesting to see and read about. This facility is very run down though. The enclosures dont seem adequate. A lot of unused space that the animals could benefit from using. Large junk area and enclosures that look abandon because they need repair. The one and only bathroom is disgusting. The food area is armed with a Turkey and rooster that actually took my sons sandwich right out of his hand and bit him. That same area is also covered in Turkey and rooster feces and very unsanitary. This facility clearly needs help and money. I believe they have a good cause here and staff seemed friendly and caring but they need help to run this place better.

Charlene Mathewson

Loved it. Love nature amd animals

Nick James

If you are looking for a face to face meeting with a majestic and regal looking lion, THIS is your spot! ???? We walked through the entire place in just over an hour (two adults and a toddler) we went at 11am and all of the animals were out and about playing/pacing and eating except for ALL of the monkeys. They were just snuggling together trying to take a nap (cute, but we really wanted to see them in action the most) Masks are required in any of the buildings, no mask needed outside. We only spoke with one staff member upon entry and she was informative and friendly! Great visit and we would go again!

Padmini Sudhakar

Perfect small zoo place for toddlers and kids. Animals are close to watch especially kids will enjoy .

Jeremy Anderson

From the moment we checked in this weekend was more than we hoped! The owner met us as we pulled in and showed us around. Staying in the B&B let us access the zoo after hours and take our time wandering from animal to animal. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, with a fridge stocked for breakfast and some snacks besides. The animals were all fantastic to see and seemed well cared for and happy. The behind the scenes tour the next morning with Candace was worth every penny! We met Febreze the skunk, Luna the Fennec fox and Raksha the arctic wolf. We have already agreed that we will be back! Thanks for a great weekend, Jungle Cat World.

Gareth Wells

Good park with lots of animals. Worth a visit . Good to go at 1.30pm as its feeding time and the cats get very active.

Brad Gerlings

We had a great time with are four year old there last weekend for his birthday. I recommend this way over a zoo any day I will be back soon

Dave Marshall

Very cool experience to be able to get so close to so many exotic and some not quite so exotic animals. My daughter is an animal lover and really enjoys this place.

santosh Vydyula

Amazing place. Kids would love it. Haven’t seen the big cats this close in my life. Clean cages and really loved the peacocks walking around so friendly. Buy yearly pass because you would love to visit again and also very friendly staff.

Jason Beauchamp

Great memories with the girls through our behind the scenes pass. A little disappointed we didnt get to see the lion cubs but still got to see wolf cubs, lemurs, foxes, and kangaroo.

Jeffrey Ricard

We went in the morning with our 2 year old son. Great variety and surprising quantity of animals, who all seemed well fed and in good health. Some facilities were closed due to COVID-19. The general grounds and exhibits could use some maintenace and repair - it is starting to show its age. We recommend going for a fun morning or afternoon.

vibha kiran

Wonderful and very clean! You can see the jungle cats from close!

S Bazentine

Very fun and informative. Behind the scenes was a great experience! Highly recommend.

Foxcatcher

Great experience! My wife, son and I stayed there this weekend. We had the lions den room, stayed one night. Service was excellent, they provided a fully stocked, very clean room complete with a bottle of wine and coffee selection. The animals were social and active, and staff were very good. We had a behind the scenes session with 3 animals, it was amazing, made my 3 year olds day to pet a Fox. We did a walk around after dark, which was really nice to experience. Would definitely recommend for a new experience.

Dale Ferguson

Great place to bring the kids. Stayed at the bed and breakfast there got to wake up and have coffee and watch the tiger from my balcony. And there was a rock wall in the kitchen ????

Deb McLean

It was good, beautiful animals but the park seems run down. I hope the animals are getting proper care....

Chris Sankar

This is one of the greatest experiences I've had. We were able to spend up close time petting/feeding/playing with timber wolf cubs, red foxes and a coati. Its very obvious everyone there takes great care to ensure all the animals are as happy and comfortable as possible. I 100% reccomend trying to stay at least 1 night there. Having free access to see all the animals at any time of day lets you see all of them during their active periods.

Pichler Family

Amazing experience! Cute little cabin small park very intimate. The staff are knowledgable and it is kind of like a rescue sanctuary.

Raj Nava

Excellent place for the family. Wide selection of animals and up close experience is awesome. A must see place for the entire family.

Tara Mathers

Good place to spend a couple of hours. There are many other animals besides cats such as rabbits, birds, monkeys, and wolves. But don't expect to be able to pet any of them.

Holly Rowe-Oereira

Terrible conditions for the animals. The place was unkept. The animals were in such small cages, pacing in circles with nowhere to go! Staff were barely visible...non of the Purcell stations had hand sanitizer, chickens in the cafeteria, a small pet cemetery church that's screaming law suit for anyone who enters, and hardly any shade for the animals or guests. Would never return here! The cost to this dump was $20 per adult! For $10 more go to the Toronto Zoo where the animals habitat is kept well, animals are happy and staff is visible!

Christine Tranter

We were there today and our 2 young kids under 3 had a excellent time. The zoo is a perfect size for little ones with lots of animals to see. The staff where very friendly as well. We booked a time slot online and felt very safe with all the precautions taken during these covid times

Rahul Jain

Great park that take an hour to go through, and you get to see lions.

Barbara Myrvold

Yesterday I took my 7 year old grandson for a behind the scenes tour. It was amazing! The zoo keeper was very informed and obviously passionate and caring about her work. My grandson and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we will both remember it for a long time. Highly recommend!

It’s not that much big you can just leave your kids run and explore the wild animals inside , recommend to the family who have kids, no more than two hours can finish everything inside .

Peter McQueen

This is such a horrible place to visit. Big cats pace back and forth in small enclosures. No good learning can take place here.

Jacki Ferrara

The kids loved being able to get close to all the animals. We got there just before feeding time and it was really cool to see how each of the animals react to being fed. The birds roaming around are also really neat for the young kids as they got to see themeven closer than the cats!

Kim Pritchard

My husband and I just spent two nights and three days there and it was the best holiday we have ever had. The staff the owners everyone there were friendly and knowledgeable . The b&b was beautiful, large, had everything you needed and more. From our balcony we could sit and watch the two young male lions, the two tiger cubs, the young lioness , we could see the wolves running around. Both night the lions talked to each other, the wolves sang, it was peaceful and all around wonderful. We did the behind the scenes we walked around the zoo at night. I would recommend this to everyone. The animals are well cared for they are loved and respected. This is NOT SAD ROADSIDE ZOO. Don't listen to anyone who say it is. They are wrong and don't know a hill of beans of anything. GO SPEND THE NIGHT OR TWO . We had the time of our lives.

Krystal Tse

This was a nice place to go. The zoo was small but I liked how all the animals were closer for you to see (unlike the bigger zoos). My kids loved the bunny petting area and enjoyed feeding them

Cvita Pharand

Amazing place. Love the animals and staff. Love being able to interact with incredible animals. Everyone needs to experience this place at least once. We have been three times and will continue to visit each year. Xoxo

Evan Pengilley

Great prices overall fun experience with the family

Madison Blanchard

Daughter loves it! Animals are so close and there's so many birds just roaming around too. Great variety and so much fun.

Sebastian Tatar

Best place ever especially with kids.

DZTaxes

This is a great zoo for kids. Lots of big cats, along with other species. Make sure to come for the 1:30 feeding tour. I wish I could give 5 stars, but the facilities are deteriorating. They used to have much more animals to feed yourself, but now there are only a few goats behind a fence. The feed prices are generous, but we had a hard time using even one bag, as there are so few animals to feed. All in all it is a very nice small zoo. Good for 2 and a half or 3 hours.

Patricia Plant

I love this place! Especially behind the scenes tour it's really phenomenal! I come here every year and every year has been a wonderful and exciting experience! Fantastic, well educated staff who truly care about their animals and the people who visit! If you haven't visited Jungle Cat World and you love animals, you'll definitely want to check this place out!

A. J.

Lovely zoo with super friendly staff and absolutely warm hosts, Wolf and Christa . Stayed at the safari lodge which was a charming place to spend the night...and the behind the scenes program is worth the $.

Melissa Campbell

Great experience here! The staff are wonderful and you can tell they are very passionate and care about the animals!

aneeshaa mekala

Great place for kids to have fun and minimal walking for parents

vinsz

Very dirty and less organized place. The entire place is a muddy puddles. One lion and one tiger, trapped in a very small cage. Very bad experience. Been to many farms were much more organized and managed than this “zoo”.

Alexander Stubbs

We had a wonderful time. You can stay the night at the BnB which is wonderful. You can fall asleep listening to the lions roar.

Greg Sansome

Probably would have had a better experience if it wasn't so hot. Some of the animals were hiding because of that ☹️ but overall for what we did see it was good and the kids had a lot of fun. I would go back there again when it's a cooler day.

Bubbling Books

Unfortunately it was pouring rain. The kids were really excited to see the animals we did see. The office very nicely gave us a coupon so we could go back on a nicer day

Sue Pimentel

Great zoo, wonderful staff. We stayed at the bed and breakfast, and got to hear all the animal sounds at night, it was an awesome experience! We will be back!

Martin R

I brought my 7 and 4 year old daughters. Great place to spend a couple hours learning about exotic cats mostly. All in all, well worth the time and money. Staff were very friendly.

Chris Craig

The animals here are awesome, I think the feeding is around 1:30pm and it's a good time to learn about the animals. They have Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Wolves, and more. The park there is weak and not much for food options but good prices for you get.

Chad Lemaire

It was ok. There were a lot of animals. They were all well cared for and very healthy. Its a small zoo so dont expect it to be like some of the government sponsored ones you may have been to. The people are really nice as well. You do get to get in really close to just about every animal they have, which is really cool.

Laura R

It's a small zoo to visit. You can get closer to the animals then most zoos. The terrain is terrible and there isn't many different animals but it's a good size for a small child to go through as it doesn't take hours to go through. The staff are very friendly and you can definitely tell they enjoy there jobs. Feeding time can be quite busy but other than that it is easy to walk up to any cage to view the animals without a crowd

S b

Many different types of tigers, lions and wolves and of course other animals too. Pretty good experience for my 3 year old daughter after this covid time.

Brandon Theriault

Came here with my wife and daughter and stayed in the lion's den. It was one of our best adventures to date. Unlike a regular hotel everything in the room was complementary and we were well stocked with snacks, breakfast foods, and a bottle of wine. Got to hear all the wolves howling when it got dark mixed in with some Lion's roaring. We did a Behind the Scenes as well and the animals are very interactive. Highly recommend seeing the Lemurs as they were the most social and climbed all over us. Bailey is super knowledgable and was very reassuring that the animals are well kept. The park was well maintained and staff were awesome. Definitely will be back

colin6789

Went there for the live feeding tour. The lady giving the tour was fun and informative. The animals were a sight to see.

Trevor Armstrong

What an incredible experience! Huge cats that you're 6 feet away from. Tip: Guided feeding tour at 1:30pm daily. Don't hesitate, check this place out!

girish patel

Good collection of wild animals. My grandkids enjoyed it very much, especially the feeding of the Wildcats. Great experience for the kids.

Ouimagine DV

It was our first time going to jungle cat world and our experience was amazing, the customer service was fantastic and very responsive, friendly. We recommend jungle cat world.

Sandra Wu

The behind scene experience is definitely worth it! We booked the behind the scene experience online , and both my 5 and8 year old loved it and kept talking about the feeding and petting experiences , how cute the animals are and what they learnt about the animals. There are much more pics but there is limit on ho many pics I can upload. This is so many fun and it is for everyone in the family. Even for me , a 37 year old adult who has been to Serengeti national park in African and witnessed the great migration enjoyed it so much! So I think it is for everyone who loves animals. The staff are very knowledge, friendly and tried everything they can to ensure the experience is memorable and fun. We visited during covid time, the zoo is not packed and the behind scene experience is only for me and my 2 daughters during the time slot we have booked and it was very safe and guests and staff wore masks all the time . I highly recommend feeding the ring-taled lemur and ground hog, ground hog is so adorable! Petting an arctic wolf is once in a life experience too but there is height limitations . Anyways, I don’t want to spoil the whole thing, experience it yourself!

Goodies GoGreat

i went to the camp here. it seems they treat guests better than campers. we hardly got to encounter with big animals, and we paid around 900 dollars! the cages are pityingly small with thin animals, it seems they are not good with them. there were [

Roberta B

This place was nice. The only thing is the directions for out of town guests to find the place

Kimberly M

Admission price was too expensive. Children under 5 should be free. Not alot of animals to see. But the animals seemed content.

K L

I found the staff very knowledgeable and friendly. The animals were so cute! My friend and I did the interactive tour where we got to see behind the scenes with the animals and feed them and play with them. If you're an animal lover, I definitely recommend it.

Steph B

Using exotic animals that can kill you for photo ops? I've seen enough. People need to educate themselves. Roadside zoos aren't a "sanctuary". ????

Dawn Warburton

Incredible, wonderful, a special place in my heart, a zoo where it's obvious there's so much love, we even met the awesome owner while he was out there fixing a fence!! They're doing something very special at this zoo and it shows.

christina dobrota

It's a small place, but you get very close to the cages so the experience is very intimate. They have a feeding time at 1:30 pm when they take you to several animals to see them while eating. Nice personnel, very accommodating and helpful. Someone in front of us did their Behind the scenes program, looked awesome.

Diana Wood

2 adults, 2 seniors and 2 children 6 and 2. Good price (I think they may have been reduced because some of the shows and extra activities aren't open. So it's a walk around experience only for now. But, lots to see and lots head a great time!

Sonia Virdi

A bit pricey but it's a nice small zoo to visit. We were on our way to Ottawa so decided to make a pit stop here. Young children will enjoy it. Parking is free.

Ace One

Great place, amazing animals, loving staff. This is what the zoo should be. You can tell these animals are well cared for. You can actually get a good look at the animals at cat world, you don't feel rushed and you don't have to look over 10 people to see the animals. I would recommend this place to everyone. Its peaceful quiet and it doesn't take long to walk through the park. My family loves it and I'm sure yours will too!

Ernesto Polsinelli

Great place to bring the family. The animals are close and easy to see. We went for the feeding around 1:30pm and the zoo keeper is informative and you get to learn about the individual animals. Wear closed shoes your feet may get muddy. There is a snack and gift shop, kids had a grilled cheese

J Ji

I had a personal talk with a staff about the animals' well being in solitary 20'x20' cage. The staff told me they do not keep the animals for rehabilitation (sent back to the wild) purposes they are bred and raised there for generations - for viewing and our entertainment purposes. The staff justified that the small cage is adequate because it keeps them close to people and they can socially interact with the visitors. All I see is them staying as far as away from annoying visitors tapping fences and yelling at them. The staff said they are perfectly happy, healthy and fed well. They are fed frozen chicken thrown into the cage. I think this "happy" is a selective term. If a tiger is born and raised in 20x20 cage, fed and "roam" in that small cage, they will think they are the happiest tiger, whilst their ability to freely run, hunt, and breathe fresh air is smothered. They do not bother to simulate natural environment one bit. Jungle cat world is a purely for-profit zoo. After being here few times, I have decided I cannot support this zoo anymore.

Kayla Gilmor

It was a lot of fun, we were able to meet some animals. And Bailey knew a lot about each individual type. Very knowledgeable staff and a well taken care of place.

Kristen Ball

Loved it!

Jessica Batryn

kids love it, small enough space that they can walk with out getting tired. wear boots if there has been any rain with in a few days of visit as there is not paved pathways so can get very muddy.

Haggis McBeastie

Really enjoyed the park. Animals appear healthy and well cared for. Friendly, helpful staff. Food and gift shop were reasonably priced. Admission is also reasonable given the overhead of caring for the animals. I like these smaller parks where you can get very close to actually see the animals. Recommended.

Amer Jabri

Best place with family. Feel nature from very near...

Marie Coulter

First time coming back soon loved it

Allen

Driving form Toronto to Oshawa. Had a really good experiences. Many animals there. However, most of big cats are lazy and sleepy????

nani v

Best zoo I ever visited. My 6 year old son enjoyed watching lions, wolves from the top of the wooden watch tower. Its a must visit imo. Best of all, I have been waiting years to see a real black jaguar and I saw it today. I am soooooo happy, I spent like 30 minutes just around its enclosure to enjoy the beauty. I believe the enclosures for birds, spider monkeys, lemurs and bobcats should have been a bit bigger in size.

Andy Gouldburn

Good time with some lovely animals. We enjoyed our visit thoroughly! Worth the drive! ????

Penny Williams

Wonderful experience. Staff was great. They were helpful and we'll knowledged of the park and the animals. Book the behind the scenes adventure in advance of your trip. You will not be disappointed!!!

Jessica Gaber

Little zoo focused on breeding, conservation, and education. Highly recommend the one hour "Behind the Scenes" tour where you can meet there animals! Worth the money.

Hailey Johnston

I don't even know how that place is still running. The poor animals are all caged in tiny enclosures and had barley any room to move around in their cage. Most animals I saw were repetitively walking in small circles or pacing back and forth in their cage, I am so disappointed and hope this "zoo" gets shut down someday and the animals will get sent somewhere where they will actually be happy.

Batool Rashid

It was an amazing experience! It was quiet and kids had an amazing time running around and watching big cats and wolves

Veronica Racine

Worst 40$ ever spent, disappointed I gave money to support a place like this. Unsafe zoo for animals, staff and visitors. There was several unsafe animal enclosure. From being way to small for the animals. To being extremely muddy and over grown. To having dangerous material in with the animals. At the end of one of the barns there was a enclosure that contained lamas and chickens. But it also contained metal piping on the ground. And has rolls of shape metal fencing laying around with the animals. There was also dogs barking very loudly from the back of one of the barns. It didn't sound like normal barking. It was aggressive and concerning. Many animals looked very depressed and weren't moving much. They would be laying around sleeping or if they were awake most were pacing back and forth they whole time we were there. Very disappointing in my experience at this zoo. Animals need to have better safer enclosure and people who take care of them.

Josh Erb

From the moment we arrived we loved it. Every jungle cat you could think of was there. An lots of wolves. Even though it's February we still had a great time. But could of brought boots. The staff was excellent and very friendly. Its not like most tourist places. More of a personable expierience. Stayed overnight in the Lions den bed and breakfast. 1 of the three rooms they have. The room was great-a full apartment with fridge stocked full of farm fresh eggs an everything you need for a do it yourself breakfast an a complimentary bottle of red wine and a cold Corona. Everything in the room was jungle cat themed. I enjoyed sitting on our balcony listening to the wolves howl at night. Where else could you do that so close to home? It was a perfect overnight family getaway an only a two hour drive. For a little extra money we were able to get up close with some of the animals. My son got to play with a cerval, a fox and kangaroo. An my wife an I got to go in the wolf cage an pet the artic wolf which was a beyond thrilling experience. We will be going back for sure.

Emma Lino

Nice and cozy place. We stayed in the lion den room..the only problem was the amount of flies inside the room.washroom and everywhere inside..screen doors would be nice to have..having dinner and breakfast in the kitchen was not a good experience with flies all over.

Shayna Nice

I am a huge animal lover and you can tell all of these animals are loved and well cared for. it's a beautiful spot to see all the animals up close. It has such a nice charm to it! Excellent place for kids. I loved every minute of my visit …

sliat76

This has been an amazing adventure. The staff are very friendly and went above and beyond with our accommodations. We even got to meet some animals up close and fed a baby tiger. It's too bad a previous guest ruined our chance to pet the tiger cub but we got to feed it at least. Love this place.

Gerald Deer

Great time at Jungle Cat World with the family. The animals are amazing and look well taken care of. The staff is very friendly and you can see their passion for the animals. We would definitely come back again. Thank you for a great time.

Honest reviewer

I was not expecting such a great experience. I thought it would be a low budget experience like the Oshawa. But no it was great. Actually spent an hour there and didn’t feel like it and like how the money goes towards savings these animals. Is it safe to take kids, yes. Is there enough space for everyone yes. Do you see all the animals yes.

A. Maher

We purchased the behind the scenes tour and it was amazing. We got to interact with wolf pups, foxes and a serval cat. Our guide was knowledgable and very personable which made the experience special. It's a small zoo which is nice and feels more close to the animals. The animals we saw all appeared to be in great health and well taking care of. Some maintenance is needed but that is no big deal because if all money goes towards the animals having a great quality of life than that's what any animal lover would rather see! Will go again.

Annette Nadeau

For such a large property I was very disappointed in the size of the habitats for the animals. In my opinion they are way too small and they could be much larger given the amount of un-used space on the property. There is a large pond on the property which none of the animals have access to except for a large flock of geese which it seems are also allowed to roam the grounds and poop all over. Walking through goose poop for a couple of hours is not my idea of a fun time.

K

Really enjoyed it. The staff seemed to know everything about and treat tg ani also very well. Got to be very close compared to most zoos and see the feeding.

Geoff Williams

Animals were great feeding tour was really good I tried to pay in office lady stayed on the phone for a long time then said we must go pay in other building wasted about 20 minutes just trying to pay. The walking paths need a lot of work. Very knowledgeable about animals. I

lahori boy

Very good place for small kids, only special animals lions cheeta tiger and lots of wolves. Small play ground and a cafeteria. Kids really enjoyed, not too much walking and animals are very friendly specially. Open peacocks and bunny

Sheetal Dekondwar

Perfect place for ppl who doesn't wanna walk 20 miles to see 1 lion or tiger. Small place and you get to see everything

Jess Joss

We had a phenomenal Behind the Scenes tour with Zoo Keeper Sam. We played with Arctic Wolf pups, fed and cuddled Red Foxes and played with and fed Ring Tailed Lemurs. Educational and entertaining. An excellent bday present for our son and worth every penny. Thanks so much.

Joey Parkins

We visited mid morning before the heat began to rise. We got to experience seeing many of the animals being fed. It was an excellent experience. The park is very open allowing a lot of space to explore and visit the animals. Staff are exceptionally friendly and go far above and beyond to help. I highly recommend visiting the park. We will be visiting again and again all year around. Thank you Cat world!!!

Mohammad Amer

Close up view of the ferocious cats, cozy place for the wild cats..

Colleen Henderson

What an awesome experience ... Suggest that if you are near the area to check them out, be there for feeding its a hoot!

Alena Corke

What an amazing experience! Not many chances you will get to be up close and personal with animals like this! The owner Wolf showed us around and was so kind and friendly. Our overnight stay was amazing! We could hear the cats roaring in the middle of the night. When the zoo keepers return in the am the wolves all howl in excitement. Highly recommended for animal lovers. Please note animals come with smells so don't expect it to smell like roses.

Joseph K

Amazing animals, up close and personal. Definitely recommend the tour to see the feeding

A. Mila

Amazing place to see animals you would only see in the wild. Loved the jaguar and the Lions. Great for group trips, taking the kids or going on a date.

Blake Harvey

It was a awesome experience but I think the animals need more space and make less space for people to walk around, It's pretty open. We watched a couple feedings and the look like they get fed well. They all looked heathy so my only concern is the encloser sizes.

jay mokle

Camp week for kids with a great staff. Such a cool place for kids to be to learn more about the exotic animals with a professional staff.

Janice Lau

So we met our pet eeyore here, so loveable n gentle, followed us the whole time cos we hv food lol the 2 white alpacas r kind of aggressive if u hv food in hand. * the donkey was trying to eat me n my fd jacket n we figure it out cos we were wearing green lol* plus, groupon deal is only $8 n reg admission is $17, also we will go bk for the behind scene programs to hold the lion cubs ????????

Ryan Bisson

Kids had a blast, lots of fun for the kiddos

Enrique Benedetto

It was extremely sad seeing these animals being enclosed in such a tiny cages, they need more space.

Mike Bondi

Great place to see and interact with animals.

Angela Bustamante

Fun place for families. Good day excursion to see lions and tigers and smaller cats and animals. Gift shop and snacks. Picnic tables and free parking.

Jorja Cooper

Family had a great time. The guided feeding tour is fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Mariea Bowen

I feel very bad for those animals there. The cages are so small. Horrible place to go. Toronto Zoo is way better

emily maynard

fun to see alpacas and donkeys walking around in the open though alpacas weren’t friendly. The staff seemed like they were in a rush but they were doing nothing and some are disrespectful for no reason such as the staff member with red hair. I agree with most of the reviews that the cages are way too small for these lovely animals. The birds and cats should have much bigger cages to thrive in their life. Overall it was great to see the animals since they are so beautiful, great variety.

Martin Doyle

Cooler weather. All the animals were very active. A great day with the grandchildren.

Fatimah Ghauri

I love this place. Its espacially for small kids since it isn't to big. Going during feeding times is a must as they tell you about the animals and answer all questions.Down side is going after it rains, lots of mud.

RJ

Stayed in the Safari Lodge. Got to hear wolves howling at night and to walk around after dusk to see the animals which was really nice as some of them are nocturnal and were more active at night. For breakfast we were left fresh eggs from their free range chickens on site. A complimentary bottle of wine, and a beautiful view of the grounds. Definitely worth the money. I also did the behind the scenes tour and got to interact with some of the animals. None of them were forced to partake, the zookeepers were very respectful of the animals. If the animal was not up to socialize then we would need to pick another animal. The silver fox and the serial cat was so happy to have visitors. I also stayed for the feeding tour, which was very educational and fun. The enclosures were clean, the animals looked very well taken care of and happy. The animals each had toys to keep themselves entertained. Overall this was a great experience. The customer service was great, the animals were awesome, and the stay was great. 10/10 will be back again.

Tara D

I had a amazing time!! I loved this place I would rather see animals here and support this place then most places the people here really seem to care. I picked the wolves the foxes and the lion cub to see and the girl who was put guide was amazing I would ask for her everytime she's knowlageable you can really tell she loves her job and these animals are her life I wish I could remember her name and ill prob butcher it but cyro I wish I double checked her name so I could give her a amazing review!! There are some people who complain the animals are in small cages compared to Toronto zoo and yes they are but they dont get the funding Toronto zoo does so help by donating and visiting and supporting places like these that help save animals for us and other people complain that they didn't know the animal wouldn't be a baby animal and they can't put their face to the animals face and people need to realize these are still wild animals yes you have paid to see them pet them take pics with them but that doesn't matter to them it's for their safety and yours so enjoy the time you get to have with them I'll 100% be back chances are I'll be seeing the wolves again like everytime and picking 2 other ones each time but no matter what you pick your gonna leave with some great memories your gonna have fun and learn some stuff and your supporting a amazing place 10/10

Melissa McFarland

This is our second time being a Jungle Cat World and spending the night in the Safari Lounge. By far one of the best things to do in Ontario. It's a little hidden jem and we just love it. We had the whole place to ourselves for the night and you get special privileges to walk around until 10pm. Between the roar of the lions, the beautiful safari decorated room and the behind the scenes we did the next day...we can't say enough about this whole experience. Worth every penny going here!!!

Dan Corner

If you want to see ALL the cats up and moving around I recommend going right at feeding time. A great informative tour provided during feeding time.

nicole bedford

Extremely sad to see big cats like lions, jaguars, tigers, etc in tiny cages. I was under the impression this place was a sanctuary like environment, it’s more like a depressing zoo. The place is huge with lots of wasted space, why not make the cages bigger?! I was even more upset to learn they don’t have access to larger enclosures when they are not on display. Places like this should be illegal, so unfortunate for these beautiful animals :(

Kris Hudson

Drive by this place all the time. Does not seem right beautiful tigers and lion sitting in a tiny cage by the road on freezing weather. They look depressed, it is horrible to see. This is barbaric, please don't support these places! They should be shut down.

Athena Brownson

Big Kitties !! All sorts of different kinds of them, big and small! I loved the white lion that they have named Gopa. They have other amazing critters like birds, monkeys fox's, wolves and alpacas. Very good time and the place also does a lot to conserve endangered species.

Mev Malkic

Me and my kids were exited to visit Jungle cat world at least until we got there. Its really sad to see big lions and tigers trapped in such small and poor condition cages.Animals look miserable and sad.Why is this still open?Washrooms smell bad,and i saw rooster and chickens coming out from cafeteria. Poor animals .Dont waste money to see animals misery.I DON'T get how they got 4 stars i d give 0 if i could. We are never going back there.

Randy Solomon

If any good comes out of the Netflix show "Tiger King" it will be seeing places like this shut down for good, or at least forced to increase cage sizes substantially with better care for the animals. The animal encounter was a TOTAL waste of money, the staff are rude and unfriendly beyond belief and the enclosures are so small. Honestly, I left this place feeling utterly depressed and upset for the animals, as well as in myself for giving them my money to begin with!!!

one tiddy

Friendly and informative staff. It's such a fun place to go

Jenevy D'silva

I go here a couple of times every year. The feeding tour is very educative and thoroughly enjoyed by the kids.

Mark Mckelvey

Small but a great variety of animals. Tigers have alwsys been my fave animal but when I saw Thag rise up right in front of me...it blew my mind just how big he is. The terrain through the park was muddy and wet...my only complaint. But will be back for sure, annual pass is an amazing price compared to a day visit.

Siva Ravindran

It was hard to see big animals like the lions and tigers caged in such small spaces. We saw the staff feeding the tigers very little to nothing. No wonder the animals looked so malnourished. Also, there was animal feces almost every step you take, grass uncut, no sanitary precautions taken. Left after 20 minutes.

Jane Jones

Cute place to visit. Plenty of wild cats and wolves to be seen. We were warned by staff to be careful of the ice and there was plenty of ice mixed with snow. Received a family pass which we will use in the warmer weather

Derek Dwinnell

Went here when I was in school back when I was studying to get into Guelph for a veterinarian degree to catapult my Zoology later Marine biology careers. I remember the baby goats were fun to play with and they had lion kittens too which were cute when they brought them out for us to see

Stacie Simmons

We went to enjoy the Behind the Scenes adventure and it was great! The staff is kind and knowledgeable, the animals seem happy and well kept. Must see the Lemurs!!

Geoff Roberts

Amazing place to visit any time of year. Our 3 year wants to go so often we ended up buying a yearly pass.

Beata f

Loved this place! Great variety of "meet and greet" animals living in the wild. Knowledgeable staff, time spending here was one of the best I ever had

Terry Campbell

A wonderful place to visit!! Fantastic staff!!! BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS!!!

Rita

Great little zoo!

Jennifer Reid

A quaint Zoo that focuses on ensuring the breeding of near extinct animals is carried on. Staff are attentive and great with the animals, not alot of walking. Highly recommend the Behind the Scenes and the overnight at the on-site Bed and Breakfast that gives you personal Zoo access after everyone has gone for the day. Truly a must do!

Sheena Simic

Stayed at the B&B, very nice themed rooms. They were clean, had nice fresh farm eggs for breakfast. It was a really cool experience. We did the behind the scenes with 3 animals. It was very cool, just wish for the $ that you pay it would be nice to have a bit more time with the animals. Overall a great experience. Would definitely do it again.

David Sfiligoi

You can see the felines a lot closer and better than Toronto zoo at this place. If you like tigers and lions there are plenty to look at. It is a bit pricey for the quantity of animals and size of park. The place looks a bit run down. Don't buy the animal feed package. There are only the goats and the rabits( if you are lucky ) that will want to eat it in the non-carnivore animals that this zoo provides. If you thought of spending a whole day there, better make alternative plan because you'll be done with the park in 2 hours.

ABIDA RAFIQ

Nice and quick and simple. All the animals are in very close proximity to each other. Place could make use of a better walking area

M

Nice small Zoo, the petting animal section is amazing! The only downfall is it is overrun with Canadian geese, and we all know they can be really aggressive

Morgan Hazelwood

I remember going as a kid, but it was pretty run down and the enclosures are very small. Not a very good use of space and the pens were very strong smelling of urine. For the admission price you would hope for a little more.

Sophia Alikhan

Cute little zoo. Loved how interactive it is with so many little animals roaming about. Chickens, rabbits and peacocks accompanied us along our tour :)

David Wong

Fun for kids. But I don't think you'd need to go again.

Jacqueline T

Always a great experience!!

Heidi O.

Went during feeding time which was entertaining watching the animals impatience. They wanted their lunch but had to wait until the handler educated us about them. Crowds weren't bad for a weekend and we got very close to each animal. Definitely will return!

Huda Alshaikh

Very fun place

Michael P. Di Biase

Visited in the winter months most of the animals were in hibernation mode; although still saw some of them.

Franck Bonnotte

Amazing place for kids

Michelle Bailey

This review is a little late! But better late than never. My boyfriend and I stayed here a few weeks ago and had the most amazing time!! We stayed in the Jaguar Den room for the night. The owners Wolf and Crista are fantastic and you can tell they really love their animals. The minute we arrived we were greeted with peacocks and a beautiful Tiger in its enclosure. Check in was breeze! We were taken to our room which was right beside the office and upon entering the newly redesigned suite we felt right at home! The room was stocked with a bottle of wine, coffee, milk, juice, eggs from their chickens and lots of little snacks. Once we got settled in we wandered into the zoo part. I do not agree with previous reviews who say the animals are not treated well. They are so well loved, you can tell from the zoo keepers who interact with them and play with them. The animals are healthy, happy and very well fed! I do agree with the previous reviews saying the fences look a little outdates and the enclosures can be a little bigger – there is so much space! I really loved the little goats who kept escaping their pen and wandering around. We booked the behind the scenes tour ( highly recommend ) we got to interact with the Serval cat, the Lion cubs and the Skunk! The Skunk was so plump and cuddly. Our friends who were staying in the other suite booked their interactions with the Wolf pups, the Lemurs and the Serval Cat. I would also highly recommend the feeding tour that takes place at 1:30. That was really neat. Jungle Cat World is a really fun little get away and we can’t wait to come back and interact with some of the other animals!

donald killingbeck

Fun zoo and if you want to you can see them feed the animals at 1:30

awesome outing. the animals were well kept... treated well. a good educational place where you can interact with wild. will surely visit again

Rick Mahoney

Nice place to visit during the pandemic. Outside. Lots of space to spread out. Pretty muddy in the spring. No paved paths. Definitely wear boots.

Lynn Jurkewycz

I love coming here! Beautiful animals and they are well taken care of!! Close in distance, which makes it easy for parents with young children or people who can't walk for long periods

Nice small zoo with variety of animals! I felt bad for some animals kept in such small cages but surprisingly they are more active than those in a big zoo.

Jill Pepper

Lots of fun! Would definitely go again!

Nuno Silva

Good place to visit Get up close with animals About 2 hours total visit time Friendly staff

adam whalen

Very educational staff good facilities with interest in helping endangered species. Rooms are fantastic large sleeps quite a few people

Ali Al-Aufy

The pens are too small for the large cats. Also huge birds like owls who can't fly around as the cages are too small for them. There is plenty of land around to expand the cages. The walkways are wet and muddy and slippery, a couple of visitors slipped and fell while walking around, you must be careful walking around. The washrooms are ancient, they need complete renovation from the floor up. Animals are well fed. Guides are knowledgeable and do give you a lot of information about the animals as they're feeding them.

Steph Forrester

What a wonderful experience, hearing the story of how this place all started, seeing how interactive they have raised the animals, how they taught them humans are good, we personally did the encounter and I'd highly recommend it. Animal cages were very clean, animals were well taken care of and clearly loved. The animals absolutely loved the attention, the trainers / employees were well educated on the location, they answered all my crazy questions, the merchandise was well priced. Food selection was terrible, and not fancy, the washrooms were slightly messy, and the parking was a little confusing / unorganized but every place has their flaws. My family and I enjoyed to mission to this location and hope to do it again soon. Keep up the great work! We returned again Dec 26th 2018 for the behind the scenes encounter with 6 other family members as a Christmas present to them. I can not find the right words to explain how amazing of a gift it was for them, everyone loved the entire experience even with the freezing cold weather. Thank you again guys! See you soon.

I would prefer not to give a great review so no one would ever go but I can’t. This was the most amazing place I have ever been. It’s way more than a zoo. If you don’t go your losing out on an experience that you can’t get anywhere else. The staff is so personable. The owner Wolfram actually cares. Behind the scenes with Taylor was everything I couldn’t have imagined. Ashely as the front desk made me feel like I had been there before. Class act on the staff. I’ll go every year for ever. The rooms are amazing. If you think you need to bring something don’t. They provide everything. Looking forward to my next visit. It’s worth the drive no matter where you are. Thank you Jungle Cat World!! ❤️

Terry Howkins

Disappointed! Not many animals (and oddly no lion cubs!) and you can do the entire park in 10 minutes flat!!!

Terry Jeyes

Family visit to Jungle Cat world. Found it a little pricey for how big the park is. We did the walking feeding tour which was interesting. Just seems very run down. Not sure I will rush back.

Kaitlyn Honcoop

Amazing place. Beautiful animals. Friendly staff. Great price

Steph Lever

Pathways not paved. Most animals in small poorly maintained cages. Saw lots of old feces that hadn't been cleaned up. Lots of aggressive Canadian geese wandering property. Enjoyed the rabbit cage where you could pet the rabbits. My child had fun but I found it slightly depressing.

Shawn Margison

Went right as the opened at 10 am and had the whole park to ourselves. If youre expecting the toronto zoo than youre letting yourself down. This place was great and educational for kids to learn more about exotic animals as well animals in their own backyard. Keep up the good work.

Chris Matz

Good time for my son 5 and me 40. Smallish and elcheapo pens but that kind of adds to the thrills. Friendly busy happy we went.

K L

Amazing place to visit. The set up of the animal enclosures lets you get up close to lions, tigers, wolves, jaguar. There are a bunch of other small animals including a large pen of friendly rabbits. The kids loved it and we got a family pass. The paths get a little muddy when it’s wet so rain boots are a good idea!

C “WISEDIVA” 26

Went with my family, and enjoyed the experience. I also go to the Toronto Zoo regularly, and this Jungle Cat World is much, much smaller, but you get to see the animals more up close than you would at the Toronto Zoo (plus Jungle Cat World is less crowded). Interestingly, some of the animals run free (peacock, llamas, donkey and bunnies... none of the jungle cats of course!). I saw you can buy food to feed some of the animals, namely the llamas and goats. So we were surprised to see many other animals besides jungle cats. My only complaint would be the number of Canada Geese all over the zoo grounds. They leave a lot of droppings behind, and it got our shoes and stroller wheels very dirty. None-the-less, they were very cute to watch, and several of them had goslings.

Leann Bird

Stayed overnight in Safari Room with grandkids and another couple. Enjoyed but would suggest better mattresses and sheets

Alina Watson

Brought my husband for his birthday. Since we arrived, the staff were friendly and kind. We got the opportunity to interact with Eddie the hyena, Rashka and Mougli the two arctic wolves and of course Murphy the cerval cat. What amazing creatures. Candice showed us around and filled out brains with wonderfully interesting information. Thank you so much for this amazing experience and all the amazing 'in the moment' photos. Hope to be back soon! Big thumbs up!

We recently stayed at Jungle Cat Worlds Bed and Breakfast. The experience far exceeded our expectations. the room was lovely and the stock in the room was beyond what we were expecting. Being able to stay at the park added to the experience by being able to hear the lions roar and wolves howl. We also had access to the park after hours to explore and see how the animals act at different times of the day. We also participated in the behind the scenes adventure. It was incredible. The keeper was knowledgable and very patient with the kids ( 4 & 21months). They assisted us in choosing the best animals for our experience and to meet the kids needs. You can feel the family love of Jungle Cat World. we cannot wait to return again.

Darren Smith

Absolutely recommend the behind the scenes animal experiences. The keepers are knowledgeable, the staff is friendly and who wouldn't want to feed a tiger!

Melodie A

This zoo exceeded our expectations. Some of the workers have been part of the zoo camp since they were 5 and basically grew up there, knowing the animals and place inside out. The animals are well taken care of. They look healthier than the animals I've seen at the Toronto Zoo. The customer service is outstanding. We did the family savannah camp program with our 6yr old and 2yr old. Our host went beyond in customer service from installing an airconditioner for us, getting us tim hortons cold drinks and timbits, bringing peacock feathers for the kids, and making sure we have everything we needed. I highly recommend the camping. We had the entire site to ourselves, a trailer that can fit 6. Our own very clean bathrooms and showers, fridge, access to the zoo all day and after hours, complimentary snacks and drinks for the kids, marshmallows and bonfire, bbq grill, and Behind the Scenes program to feed the animals. At night you can hear all the animals communicating. It's thrilling. I've seen negative criticism from anti-zooers, but this place is part of nonprofit wildlife conservation alliances and does a great job in research, conservation, and education. Also during covid, it wasn't busy at all. We were also the only family in the zoo after hours.

Valerie valou

We had a wonderful time. The receptionist when we call was excellent to help us with our questions. My daughter loved cuddling the dunkie and pet the rabbits.

Michael Richards

Jungle Cat World is awesome and terrible at the same time. The animals are so close to you that you could practically touch them. They have 3 different ages of tigers in pairs, including very cute little cubs. They have an interactive bunny area, and a petting zoo area for goats. They offer a time for you to walk around as they feed all of the animals so you get to see them very active. The negatives are that the cages/pens the animals are in are extremely tiny for such large creatures. The wolves looked sick and one wolf's ears looked chewed. The monkey area was about the most depressing area you could imagine. The pens were so small, they didn't look well taken care of and the monkeys looked miserable. The cost was reasonable for everything and parking is free. It's a mix of emotions going there so you have to decide if it's for you.

Joel Merrifield

Cold day at Jungle Cat World

Sarah Jones

Beautiful, happy and well cared for animals. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, you can tell they really love their jobs???? Stay overnight and you can tour the park in the evening and hear the Lions roar!

Dawn Sinclair

This was an amazing place. The animals were so healthy that they look like they had been groomed, which of course was not the case. We found the feeding time not only interesting but very informative. This is a very family positive place which even has a bed and breakfast. The only downside we could find was that the parking was kind of rudimentary but certainly not a deterrent in any way. I would highly recommend this Zoo to you.

Matt Habermehl

Friendly staff, animals seem well cared for. Cool to be there during the cat feeding - highly recommend

Nitasha Gupta

We love every time we go and have an annual pass to visit the Jungle Cat world. Anything to help those animals and the zookeepers are very informative!!

My husband and I came here about three weeks ago and did the overnight stay in the safari Lodge and then the behind the scenes the next morning. The whole experience was amazing. When we got there, check in was smooth thanks to Ashley in the office, and we were shown to our room. The safari Lodge is huge! The decor is all themed and there is a balcony outside the room where you can see the majority of the park. The fridge was stocked with milk, eggs, bread and juice. There was also cereal and coffee for our breakfast in the morning. They even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine! We did look around the park when we first got there, then went to a nearby restaurant for dinner. When we returned, the park had closed to the public but it was raining so we just sat out on the balcony and listened to the lions roaring! That in itself is such an experience. Later, the rain slowed down so we walked around the park, just us two, and alot of the animals that we hadn't seen earlier were now out and we even got to see the lions roaring up close. The next morning we woke up hearing the wolves howling. We made breakfast and then wandered around the park again before anyone got there which was nice. We had our behind the scenes experience, where we chose to see the Arctic wolves and the lemurs and got to feed the tigers. The wolves are very friendly and fun to play with. The lemurs jump right onto you to eat their food that we feed to them! They are so cute. Feeding the tiger was so cool as well! The staff were all so nice and particularly Adriana and Candace who helped with our behind the scenes. Would definitely recommend coming here for a stay!

Manoj Mishra

This was our second stay cum visit with extended family and although it was quite cold the stay was smooth and enjoyably. The animals were out and seemed to enjoy the weather too. The value for money is always realized in full when we go there. The room fridges are equipped with enough materials for amount of people staying in At JCW we recovered the cost of stay the moment we entered and saw 3 lions on the left side of entrance. Awesome place and thanks Mr. Wolf once again.

vinny perez

Good spot for the price . Less walking and the animals roam about happily. The lions and lionesses are not secure enough in my opinion . The fence is too short and they can easily jump over it.there is nothing covering the top. Pretty terrifying considering the way one of the animals was growling and swiping at the fence

Afreen Waheed

Had a great time here. They have all types if wildcats to see. Its' perfect to take young kids. There are enough animals for them to see and its' easier for them to walk around. The staff were kind and friendly. I would recommend to see this place!

Inna Mypka

I am feeling depressed after visiting this place. The cages they keep these animals in are so small they have no room to walk around. Animals pase back and forth in what seems to be a cage a size of just one living room. 2 foxes are kept in a tiny cage about 5 by 5 meters at the entrance right away gave me negative feelings.. Will never go back. Supporting a place that with such inhumane conditions and spaces for animals should be shut down. They are kept there for people to take photos with to make money is all I see. Poor animals, to be rescued to live a life in few feet by few feet cages I cant belive a place like this exists ????

Nicole Juffs

Second time visiting. Highly recommend going right at feeding time. They provide an informative tour of the animals while feeding them. Bring the kids, and wear rubber boots!

Craig Hargreaves

Happy times seeing happy kitties with granddaughter Presley.

Raheel Azim

I usually go to this place for photography. Great place if you want to visit and see felines up close. Friendly staff and the area is quite big and open.

Alison Keliher

Fun, outdoor activity. Family friendly.

Lindsey Berry

Awesome time for the family. You get to see the animals up close which is great learning opportunity for young children.

Irfan Sharif

Ordinary. Family run private zoo, with few animals. Highly priced, took 20 min to walk around and see all the animals, that's it. Nothing fancy

Leonid Plukhovski

Great 0lace for small kifs. Easy to watch and supervise active children. Has a playground and variety of cats to look at. They have yearly membership options. Very friendly staff. Not a place to go to every weekend due to location but fun a few times a year. Completely different experience from Toronto zoo. Feeding time is also fun. Staff gives back story and info on all their cat guests.

Crystal Carl

Seeing the big cats was definitely neat

pappa p

The value here is incredible, especially if you get the Groupon. Some of the enclosures seem a bit small but you can see that the animals are very healthy and active, especially compared to the cats at the Metro zoo. The amazing thing is how close you can get to these magnificent animals. We got to see the feeding, in which food is delivered through a hole in the front of the enclosure. It was awesome! It lasted about an hour and the employee doing the feeding was fantastic. The pathways are pretty muddy due to the season, so be prepared for that. I would imagine that in the summer this would not be an issue.

Katie Da Silva

Love this place. Behind the scenes is such an incredible experience

Moe Nikkah

Such an incredible place with incredible staff. We made a last minute decision to go there and we booked the Behind the Scenes experience and it was worth every penny. We also got the pleasure of chatting with the owner of the place Mr. Wolf and family. Such a kind, humble and interesting man. We are definitely going to book the lodge just to hear more stories. I also love how kind they are to their animals. This place is amazing in all aspects. Just make sure to book the experience as it's well worth it. Thank you Jungle Cat World and all staff!

venkatesh ganesan

Hi its quite small place it takes max one hour to see around and feeding time is good time to visit

Eve Naqvi

I love this place. I go every year. Its worth the drive for me

Sarah Grehan

4 STARS?? ARE YOU PEOPLE INSANE? THESE EXOTIC ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FILTH IN SPACES SMALLER THAT WHAT YOU WOULD GIVE TO A BARN ANIMAL. LITERALLY, THE DONKEY AND GOAT ENCLOSURE IS THE BIGGEST ONE WHILE THE TIGERS AND OTHER BIG CATS ARE LIVING IN THE SMALLEST SPACES I HAVE EVER SEEN A WILD ANIMAL HELD IN. IT IS SICK THAT THIS PLACE EXITS, THE WOLVES ARE JUST STRANDED IN A CAGE IN THE MIDDLE BESIDE A CAR PARK WITH NO SHELTER AND NO WATER???? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS PLACE? WHY IS THERE SO MUCH OPEN SPACE FOR GEESE TO LIVE IN BUT THE BIG ANIMALS ARE BOXED IN, SO SAD. IT IS KINDER TO PUT THESE CREATURES DOWN, DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE. CLOSE.

Luc Benoit

Amazing place espacially the behind the scene experience ! What a joy to see the face of our niece cuddling wolfs cubs and a baby lion. Personnally I loved my encounter with the lemurs, they are so lolevy and so soft! We stayed one night at their B&B on site and eard the wolf owling and the lions roaring at dusk and dawn from the room ! It was a great experience.

ray miller

This is a very fun little private Zoo to visit. I took my wife here on our first date. Even though it was the dead of winter it was extremely busy and very popular. There is much to see here in a lot of great Outdoor exhibits. The owners are on the premises and are very excited you talked to everyone. They have great knowledge when it comes to Jungle Cats as they raised them in their home when they are babies. If you're looking for some entertainment for yourself the family or any size group I would definitely put this place on your list.

Danielle Kay

While the animals appear well taken care of, the enclosures the larger animals are in are so small! Some of the tigers are fortunate to have larger pens (not nearly as large as they require but about the size of a suburban plot of land), …

Jess Lodge

Recently we visited and the Youth Camp were doing presentations at each centre for leadership skills, you could tell how some of these youths were struggling with presenting( due to being shy) and the leaders were soo supportive and encouraging empowering the youth in creative ways.

Steve D

Couldn't say enough good things about this place. Have been a couple times, and done the feeding tour both times and a behind the scenes tour once. Both amazing experiences, highly recommended. Would love to try and stay the night as the animals being active and loud is incredible. At a normal zoo you maybe see the tiger from 50 yards away. Here you can almost reach out and touch them. You feel the growl reverberate through your chest. Amazing experiences. And behind the scenes... I mean, Interacting with a baby tiger? That's a once in a lifetime experience. If your somebody who struggles with smaller enclosures, and captivity in general or your going thinking your going to make a day and have a picnic and let the kids play at the playground you will probably range from mildly disappointed to outright disgusted, as evidenced by some of the reviews here. There is bird poop all around the grounds and the washroom, playground, picnic areas and parking lot could all be improved. If your going to see some unique big cats do some pretty cool things, the feeding tour is awesome and cool on its own and sufficient for a couple hours or so visit to the park. For anyone who enjoyed the feeding tour, the behind the scenes tour or staying the night are both highly recommended. You'll have the time of your life.

Ben Coelen

Pathetic. Should be shut down. Small poor cages for animals more like a prison I can’t imagine anyone would enjoy this. Saddening places like this still exist. No water in the containers for water for the animals, temp 32c, Can do the whole exhibit in 5 minutes.

gloria (Rose)

It was a small and adorable place. The kids loved it as much as I did. You can walk around it in a couple hrs which is great for young ones.

Marianne Tracey

Our grandkids (aged 7 and 4) LOVE going to Jungle Cat World. They always ask if we can go when they come to visit.

Main Man 77

Prices could be little better for what you see walking around. Not a bad place by anymeans ,kids love the little petting zoo with the bunnies. All around good for the kids!!

Pritam Saha

Awesome place... I feel its better than Toronto zoo

Ramachandran Visuvanathapillai

Very nice place. Animals are well cared. Would like to go again but they are closed now.

Lynn Fairweather -Leinster

What a nice place. Animals seem to be relaxed and happy. Male lion at the beginning particularly playful. Wolf puts really love their keeper. Great animal face masks for sale. Will go back. Good time had by all.

Noor Awad

One of the worst places ive been to! The park was extremely muddy, we all got soaked by the end of the trip and cold! The least thing they can do is throw some gravel on the paths where people can actually walk instead of slipping and falling in mud! DO NOT recommend

James McCombs

Such a great experience!! The staff was amazing and friendly! The animals were breath taking! We went on a very cold day and they even gave us passes to come back again when it's nicer out! The animals look well cared for and happy. If you'd like an up close and personal experience with these incredible creatures I can't stress enough that this is the place to visit!

Laura H.C.

It is a great place to go if you want to learn more about animals, the people who work there are fantastic and friendly. We came by on a Thursday and we got to chat with the staff, the zoo guide was enthusiastic regardless of having a small group. The animals seemed healthy and playful. We will certainly be coming back !

Ivan Kevin Oliveros

We had a really fun time here. Definitely recommend the package where you get to meet the animals of your choice.

This is an amazing experience. We stayed the night at the safari lodge suite. This is located at the Zoo. You have full access to the zoo at night. This is a must do bucket list item. Absolutely amazing!

Ian Aubrey

Great place for kids and adults! Better than the Metro Zoo and not as expensive - a must see for locals and a have to see for those from far away! Excellent!

Janneane Veger

Animals all appeared happy and healthy. I really enjoyed the "camp" children doing presentations on what they'd learned about the big cats.

Yori Krulevich

This was a very nice zoo with some really cool animals! It had a bit of diversity and it wasn't just large cats! I found the Ocelot really cool cause i've never seen one before. The other large cats are also really entertaining. It wasn't very large so it only took us a couple hours to walk around but the kids really loved it. Overall would recommend.

Dmitry Pavlov

Experience differs from Toronto Zoo. On the one hand animal exposition is much smaller, this is a small Zoo on open air, but you can come much closer to animals and watch them at the hand distance.

Christopher Jones

I am shocked at the good reviews here. This was recently voted one of the worst zoos in the world. What is wrong with you people? The animals here live miserable lives trapped in tiny cages.

Michael Grozelle

Staff was always a pleasure to deal with, the owners are incredible people. Love taking my kids here they always have a blast. Can't wait till we can get in there again this summer.

Michael Werneburg

We had a great time at this small private zoo yesterday. For $45 for a family of four (cheaper if you buy online) we spent 2 1/2 hours seeing some rare animals and watched the feeding time. For twice that price, the zoo has a "behind the scenes" tour that puts you in contact with species including a Serval cat, the hyenas (believe it!), and the lemurs. We'll do it next time. I agree with the earlier comments about the small enclosures, especially for the wolves. But as one reviewer put it the animals are in good shape and seem happy. And where else are you going to see both snow leopards and Amur leopards - there are only about 120 of the latter in the entire world! Small enclosures are a problem with zoos everywhere; the Toronto zoo effectively killed off half their elephants before shipping the rest away. I've seen worse crowding of big animals in zoos in Shanghai and Tokyo. It's only been a day, but my six year old son's already asked to go back.

Zoe Scheuring

Was so amazing! You call tell all of the animals are so well loved, taken care off-and have lots of space for roaming. We also got to see so many cute new baby bunnies!
