You have the feddbacks of real people who purchase the services of High Park Zoo (Zoo) in the area of Argentia (Canada).
To this day the firm gets a rating of 4.4 stars over 5 and this rating was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is really positive, and it's founded on a very high number of reviews, so we may think that the score is very credible. If people have bothered to leave their opinion when they are happy, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Zoo corresponds to the category of Zoo.
I was here in the Spring and saw some nice animals. I was just passing through the zoo in hopes of see the Cherry Blossoms. This zoo is great for kids to see many different animals. This isn't like any regular zoo this is a small zoo with maybe only 10 animals.
Outside of trying to find parking, great experience...and free.
A lovely little collection of interesting animals. Always awesome to see when visiting High Park. Great for kids.
Loved it!!! U can spend a whole day without feeling bored. There's a play area for kids..pack food n water needed.
Just a few animals to see, however, it's free so you can't complain
Full of memory
Nice place for 20 minutes visit, its seasonal zoo from March or April to end of October. The layout of the zoo is very nice, the trees and the forest color was amazing
Super fun! Be sure to get there early if you want to feed the llamas
Quite good for a free zoo in the park.
Good place to visit, little Zoo is very clean and all animals are keeped well.
Is nice
Is nice
Great inexpensive fun for the family
I enjoyed seeing the animals and chatting with the staff.
Not a rich one but you enjoy.
Great little zoo by the park!
This was the most magical place in toronto! The people and animals are the sweetest! They care so much for their animals and that everyone enjoys there time there!!!????????
This zoo is the best because you can see such beautiful animals for free. A good way to spend some time on a nice day
A very nice route. Interesting walk the through, and a great open doors route for the pandemic times.
A very nice route. Interesting walk the through, and a great open doors route for the pandemic times.
It's a very small zoo, but it's free and part of a really great trail in a beautiful natural park near downtown Toronto. What more could you want out of a walking trail? It has it's own zoo!
Beautiful animals roaming freely (kinda) that are for sure a delight for every visitor, especially for animal lovers like me
Its good place...but not as we expected...very few animals are there
Not that great.. mostly good for kids.
Llama... Llama... duck. ...and loads more animals to view from a distance and to interact with. Perfect for young children and animal lovers of all ages.
Very nice walk and beautiful park. Donate if you can because the Zoo is nice.
So their doing construction so there's no parking amd lots of walking cuz u have to walk to the other end of the park but it was ok
It was animalistic great
The Zoo is boring.
The zoo is free (donation boxes scattered around) but it's quite small and the enclosures don't look super spacious for some of the animals. They have quite a variety but it's mainly deer/sheep/bison kind of deal. Worth a visit if you're walking through the park.
Lots of animals! All well-groomed, well-fed and kept in excellent conditions! My family loved it!
Great place to take grand kids. Very stimulus! Even as an adult Always fascinating
Well maintained.. good for kids ... Peacocks are the best...
The perfect picnic place!
Parking was hard to find, but we got lucky and had a great time!
The emus are really cute
What to say about High Park Zoo? First of all, I really like zoos. It is great to be able to see animals that it would be otherwise impossible to see and get to know out in the wilderness because it would be very dangerous. On the other hand, I don't like the whole part of keeping them in captivity, but sometimes it is needed, especially when talking about endangered species. The zoo at High Park is humble but it was so cool to see so many animals I don't get to see in the US or other zoos I have visited. The zoo is tucked away in the center of the park and you can hear no vehicles whatsoever, except for the internal golf carts that the employees use. It is really cool that you can get really close to the fences and take really close up pictures of the animals. The information cards are really good, detailed yet to the point, so they don't make it boring and the illustrations are funny too. I would really recommend this for when you are itching to go outdoors because you can also go walk around the rest of High Park, and also if you are trying to keep the kids occupied. They are also fundraising to expand the park. I added a picture of how it will look once they finish it. Oh, do NOT Feed the animals. Leave that for the professionals. Go check it out! ????
Great place
Amazing park in the city. Much to do
Great little zoo in the middle of the park, makes the walk a bit more fun :)
Would give 5 stars if the capybaras were there when i visited... :(
Cute simple place. Great to go for a short walk with babies/toddlers
fun zoo
Good for kids and stroller friendly
See llamas, peacocks, and muskox in the city!
Many Canadian animals
Animals should be in the wild. Not trapped in that crappy zoo. It's a mess and animals live in a tiny space.
Cute little zoo that is free to walk through and conveniently located inside high park. Great for the family!
Always love this place. Family place
Very small but still full of life, adorable for children and families
Beautifull place to go with family. Its free and they have nice animals, very clean for a public place. My daughter loved it and so did i.
Good lamas
It's a great zoo and it's free! I recommend feeding the llamas carrots ( volunteers offer you carrots) in return you can show appreciation with a donation. There is a donation machine that takes debit so you can help support this great little zoo :)
Not many animals but cute
NO PARKING IS AVAILABLE IN THE PARK ON THE WEEKENDS. PAID STREET PARKING IS LIMITED. One of the best parks in Toronto. It's a classic.
Fun walk in the park.
Nice place for.kids
Good. At times they have petting option too. Otherwise nice place to visit especially with kids. Is for free.
Great small zoo for smaller kids to walk through. Great opportunity to chat with the keepers about the baby Bison. Would live to see more information about the animals, even the story of the baby Bison
Great free experience for the kids..
Although it is pricy, you should take the train ride thru the park.
they have cows
Small zoo in the middle of the city.
Can't beat a free zoo!!!
Went to High Park when it was freezing cold (-20) but with a lot of sunshine. The park would need a lot of time to be seen everything in a single visit. This time I enjoyed the open zoo. It is a must for the kids while even I and my husband were equally excited to see it. Taking a stroll on a sunny day is good. Wait for the blossoms to happen but plan in advance because the parking spot runs out of space.
We got to see the Capybaras! Very excited to see them just relaxing. The Llamas were out and about as were a lot of the sheep and cattle.
Wonderful Zoo in Downtown Toronto. MUST VISIT
Not the best place to keep animals in my opinion
Low key. Fun, semi-surly herbivores in attendance. Never crowded. Always a great walk.
This is a very fun and relaxing place to take your family. You get to pet and feed some of the animals!
Very good walk to the ZOO
they rly let the rodent mans escape
This is such a cool place to be! City of Toronto really look after these animals and you can tell they are happy and healthy. It’s a great place to bring kids and friends over. Take the step to the west of it, and it’ll bring you closer to the lake. There are ducks and geese around. I had a wonderful time!
Nice picnic spot .. good amount of natural habitat to visit.. fun for children ...have cycle tracks, food spots to eat .....
Free zoo. You get what you pay for. The number of animals are limited. However, for young kids (like my 4 year old daughter), it is still quite the adventure. During the pandemic, the south side entrance has been closed to allow for visitors to view the animals in one direction. You enter from the north entrance by the cafe, move into the left lane, make a U-turn at the end, stay on the left side and exit. Overall, it was a fine experience.
Nice that the animals are cared for, but they seem so sad
Animals look depressed. Bathrooms under renovations . pond scummy . splash pad is amazing. Castle park is great for 5 and up
Would give 5 stars if the capybaras were there when i visited... :(
The zoo itself is amazing love bringing the family here.... but when I was there on the 30th of dec many of the animals didnt have any water, and one of the animals beside the llamas looked sick I belive it was the yak
Honestly I was expecting a bit more number/variety of animals. However, the enclosure is well kept and the animals have a good amount of space to roam around.
Toronto's very own Central park
Parking available at the park. 15-20 mind walk from Keele or high park subway station to the cafe. Zoo has reindeer, bison, cattle, and a few other animals. The gardens are really nice. I didn't explore any of the trails.
Beautiful Animals in High park areas are wearing
Lovely, clean, shady... Suitable for even the 40C weather on this Canada Day.
Tranquility oasis
Love going there with my son. Beautiful park and interesting place for children and families
Quite good for a free zoo in the park.
An awesome place, worth seeing. Ps. It's free!!!
About what I'd expect for a free public zoo. Fairly common but interesting animals like peacocks, capybara, Highland cows, and goats. Don't expect to spend a whole day here it's maybe a 20 minute experience. It's free so you really can't complain and is definitely worth checking out if you're already in high park!
It's a lovely FREE kids zoo!
Big park but we only explored the zoo and the playground. The zoo is over a block long with some yaks, llamas, Peacocks, cows, etc. The playground area is huge. Even adults can have fun with their kids there. Washrooms could be closer to the playground because when a preschooler has to go, it is a little hard to climb up a good flight of stairs and then walk maybe another 100 meters to get to a washroom in time. Better signage for the washrooms would be great as well.
Nice experience... my daughter loved ????seeing the animals
For a free entry zoo. No bad. But parking is limited.
Beautiful outdoor zoo to see entrapped animals. Surrounded by trees and woods. Lots of goats and yaks and buffalo. The peacock are very loud.
Small zoo with a dozen or so different animal types. In the summer, Saturday mornings are a time when they allow visitors to pet and feed the lamas and hold rabbits/chickens. The other animals are on display but not available to pet/touch (unless they come up to you at the fence)
Honestly - what more can you expect from a zoo in the middle of a park in Toronto? It's a fun time for how quickly you can walk through it.
Nice walk! Beautiful environment in the heart of the city!
Loved it
Trails, parking, open spaces, off leash dog area, kids playground, concessions, bathrooms, pond ... a natural delight in the city. This park has something for everyone.
High Park Zoo is always a good time, with a variety of animals, the kiddies love it and on Saturdays during the summer you get to feed the Lama's for a low price which goes to support the Zoo and keep it going. After the Zoo you get to enjoy the rest of the Park if you like which is huge.
Has always been a favorite place to visit in the city. Dog friendly as well, so bring your four legged child for a stroll, and introduce them to some wildlife in the city.
Free. Lots of trees to keep you cool. Be prepared to park outside the park if late on weekends or holidays. Several little trails, beautiful views, perfect for kids of any age.
This is a fun place to bring the kids, and it's great that it is free!
Love coming here a few times a year. If you have young children, this is a must do. Playground is just to the east.
It's free. Good enough for me. Truthfully tho not worth a long drive to visit. If you're in the area, check it out.
Beautiful Free park to go walk through. Seeing the animals was a delight as well.
Nice place to relax in and doodle a bit!
Cute simple place. Great to go for a short walk with babies/toddlers
Beautiful park. Free parking. Nice little zoo.
I was able to see Bison by first time
The petting zoo is awesome
Such an amazing place!
Love the capybara
Nice place for kids
You'll enjoy it!
Favorite hiking place!!
My kids love it there.
Lovely place. But beware of the caterpillars. Freaking too many!
It’s a zoo. With animals. Some native to the country, some not.
It's a big park with lots of activities you can do like hiking, biking, walking your dog. There is an off leash dog area, children play ground, a zoo, a garden. There is something for everyone.
Best Free zoo. Capybara looked cute.
Although I totally love this place, I can't wait 'til the upcoming renovation that will give the animals more space and better amenities. The bisons in particular did not look at all happy to be enclosed in such a small space for them. These majestic animals should be able to run and feed on wild grasses!!! Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam, and the deer and.the antelope play!
Nice small zoo, loved the ostriches!
Love how far its come in terms of renovation. Great work!
Small but nice zoo.
Hidden gem. Free parking
Always a fun trip! Lots of see and do.
Love that it's free! Had available parking during the weekdays and they blocked off one entrance as they're doing repairs at one as well as in the llama pen. Not super crowded which was a relief
Free entrance, small zoo, ideal for kids. My children like this park, they used to go there when I had a doctor appointment nearby. It’s very big, so come ready to walk around it. Nice and clean.
Great place to bring the kids and its free
Great place for a day out
Fantastic horticultural displays. Love the Rock Gardens.
Nice place.I loved it.
Even in -2 degree weather all the animals are bright and lively with each other. Coming close to the fences and playing a little. A great time
Great fun for kids!
Small but it was fun to see the capybaras!
Great place to hangout as a family with little kids
A great place for a walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
It's free. Good enough for me. Truthfully tho not worth a long drive to visit. If you're in the area, check it out.
Free animals they do not want to be there
Amazing place! Good protection and friendly with the people.-
Large park ,lots of free activities for the kids
Can't go wrong with free and small! Took our 4yr old on Easter Sunday to check out the capybabra. Come early to enjoy free and easy parking. It's a nice 30 min stroll then poke around the rest of the park. There are reindeer, bison, yaks, emus, goats and sheep and llamas. A good time! In terms of flora at Easter, nothing had really started growing but the air was fresh. In the rest of the park, the ducks and swans and squirrels were out.
Nice park and zoo!
Very beautiful place, carry your own bedsheets n some snacks, you can spend a lazy afternoon. You can go for a hike or jog, you can take kids to the small zoo, totally worth it.
Small collection of animals. It's a quick path; great for all including children.
Great place for the family and a light stroll. Lots of animals to see. Not too crowded and parking is easy!
Beautiful place for a stroll. The zoo was awesome, the trails are amazing, thank you so much for existing. Make sure to donate so this can stay amazing.
It a bit of a fixer-upper, but still interesting to stroll through.
A nice zoo. Impressed that they have Highland cattle. Want to know when the capabara's are there so I can visit them as well.
Adequate place for children. Must be better places to visit. However good time spent for free
I went here so much as a kid, there were so many animals, and it was easily accessible. This place is great and I have a lot of memories here, would recommend.
It is small but the animal all well taken care of, the kids enjoyed the zoo as well as the playground
Such an awesome park. Amazing you get a free zoo.
This zoo is free. On the way to the zoo, you can see wonderful place.
Parking closed on weekends. One entrance and exit . But all in all a great experience
It provides a nice short trip to a zoo.
Not enough animals, no elephant.
A nice attraction in high park. It may seem unassuming from the outside but they have some very unique animals. Definetly worth one visit
Very fun and family friendly. Been there many times and will go back soon
Children had a lot of fun at here.
Kids enjoyed a lot
Good
Nice little place to visit we stopped here on our way home from toronto for a weekend. It was a great place to get some air and visit some animals.
I had a nice time.
A good place to walk through as you explore the park. I wouldn't plan on spending more than 20 minutes.
Oh so cute...and I heard they’re all rescue animals so makes me feel better I guess(?)
Free parking. Now that's been established we can continue. Free entry! Also said so we move forward. There are not very many animals here and the ones that are there are mostly domestic. Peacocks are really nice. Yaks too. On weekends there is a petting zoo which is good for young kids. It's small so don't expect for this to occupy kids for a full day. You can walk the park and there is a huge kids playground.
Relaxing walk.
Best place to go with the kiddos
A great walk! Afternoon well spent.
One of the all time great spot
Always love bringing the little kiddies here. They have a great time just walking around and even feeding the animals with the keepers. With the playground right next to it is great as well.
Free location inside Highpark
I was surprised to see few animals, but on one side this make me happy as animal should be free.
Awesome zoo in the heart of High Park! Animals were all out during our visit in October except the elusive capybaras! Nice stroll, good descriptions, you can get quite close to the animals.
Very simple zoo but good enough if you're already there as it's free. Easy parking and in a nice setting. The ground is very uneven so be careful!
Good finds
Beautiful lands
Only 10 cages!
Yeah good place to visit with kids . Whole day fun picnic
Really cute free zoo, nothing too exotic but perfect for young children. Very busy on weekends, parking is brutal and very few bathrooms. Plan ahead!
Its nice small zoo for the kids
Not a whole lot to see,
Very pretty
Fun, small Zoo entirely within the confines of High Park. The animals they've chosen to host are suitable for a small Zoo and small enclosures. Perhaps a dozen enclosures with a dozen different types of animals, with basic educational …
Small free zoo for the family
Love it
Great little zoo. It's about all your kids have the patience for anyway.
Great zoo for the price (free). Good selection of animals, great for kids. Even got wallabies!
Cool dog
Friendly, inquisitive wildlife who are sometimes camera shy, but always entertaining. Fun for the whole family. During covid, only one entrance is open so you have to walk back the way you came, but that just gives you more time to spend with the animals.
Small but interesting
good for kids. they only have friendly animal, no lion, no tiger
very few animals
Free zoo where the animals seem pretty ok with captivity. It may be a Stockholm Syndrome kind of situation, though, which leaves me more than a little perturbed. I tell myself that the education gained by small minds is worth their possible existential angst. My four year old just loves the giant rodents. She is yet free from such ethical quandaries, lucky little thing.
A bit of a hike up hill but the kids will love seeing the animals up close. Best of all, it's free! Donation is encouraged to keep this place open.
Short walk with free entry and free parking. Great to have a small zoo in High Park
The place was wonderful
Loved the animals! So cute and fun to watch although they should have a food dispenser for the animals like any other petting zoo and take away the GARBAGE around there poor cages!!!!!!
Went during Covid times so there was not a lot to see but it was good for this time period. All animals looked healthy and cute.
Nice little zoo. Even better price (its free).
Would give 5 stars if the capybaras were there when i visited... :(
Beautiful place. Animals are kept in large enclosures and well taken care off.
Great for kids
Tiny zoo with interesting animals. Good for a date or family outing. See it all in less than an hour then go to the park around the corner.
Its great to visit in the Spring and Summer. Its FREE. And you can enjoy a lovely walk through the park after. Or you can go to the lovely castle-like all-wood playground if you have little ones.
Great little zoo in the middle of the city!
Nice zoo. Great location.
Zoo is very small. Enclosures are not adequate for animals. Not worth the trip
Great park in the city. Huge grounds that include a public summer pool and a lovely nature reserve with many different animals. Will be coming back this summer!
Lovely to go for a walk and look at all the animals. The ground is very uneven though, and can get muddy or fill with lots of puddles, so wear appropriate boots/shoes! Don't forget to leave a bit of spare change to help feed and care for the animals!

A pleasant walk with park zoo animals.
Best Zoo in town and very affordable. It is a "pay as you want" kind of donation model and the money does go to help others! So we loved it, a perfect Sunday stroll through the Park and Zoo! Colder weather is nicer vs. super warm summer weather. I would recommend going in Shoulder seasons vs. extremely cold.
Good place.
An awsome place to visit with your family. Clean washroom was a plus. Kids really enjoyed the animals, kids play area and hiking along the trails.
Gorgeous park! I used to go often as a child. It's been probably 40 years and I wish I hadn't waited so long!
It's a great place to go with family and kids.
Great place for kids
Loved ♥️
Great small zoo for smaller kids to walk through. Great opportunity to chat with the keepers about the baby Bison. Would live to see more information about the animals, even the story of the baby Bison
Kids love this place!
Looks beautiful in a snowy day
Great place to visit
Fin low key family activity. Be sure to check out the amazing kids jungle gym structure afterwards!
Friendly staff. Beautiful animals. Relatively big enclosures for the animals. Awesome little gem in the park!
Free zoo that is very well maintained but still, I am against having animals in cages.
Great for kids. Bug playground..lost of trails. Kids like petting the chickens. Lots of picnic areas. Lots of sporting areas. Dog park. Train ride on wheels.
Good!
Super fun! Adorable animals
A little sad looking but it's free! About 12 different types of animals!
Fun zoo to feed llamas!
Was very disappointed this time going to the zoo as animals looked very in a bad condition, the water tanks were empty and animals looked very thirsty. It was not at well kept and we felt incredibly sorry for the poor animals.
Small zoo, not a lot of animals but nice to walk around
Not much to offer in way of animals. One larger animal looked like he was suffering today with a large sore on his back and pinned up against the fence.
It's a great park but I would consider it on Saturday and Sunday's as it becomes to crowded but other wise good
Not bad for a free Zoo. Quick little loop and then lots of other kid friendly activities at the park!
So great to have a space like this in the middle of the city for kids and parents alike. On weekends the zoo has feeding programs so you can take your kids, nieces or nephews to feed and pet animals.
Cute animals!!
Great place for families - kids and dog friendly
Had fun in the zoo ????
Always love bringing the little kiddies here. They have a great time just walking around and even feeding the animals with the keepers. With the playground right next to it is great as well.
It was very big park with trees, animals and many more.
A good place to go with family and friends. Feeding the Lama's and emu's was fun experience.
Great for young kids.
High Park Zoo, one of many enjoyable experiences for kids of all ages!!! From bison, to sheep, to peacocks and emus..... Up Close & Personal is the way to go at High Park Zoo!
These animals are sad and depressed. One goat kept circling around a tree which means he was not happy.
Spectacular
LOTS of things to do. Zoo, trails, splash pad, nature trails and much more. Close to subway.
spectacular place a beautiful and very large place, I recommend you bring lunch and enjoy the air
Cool little zoo. Free attraction in the middle of Toronto.
Wonderful free zoo in the park, always a good time
Best place for kids to see live animals rather than a TV. Calm and quiet place with less crowd. During Summer Zoo timings starts at 11am and ends at 7pm with last entry at 6:45 PM. You have few varities of animals. Currently you can find lots of caterpillars so be careful with kids while walking through the zoo. South entrance is currently closed, so you need to travel to north entrance near Granadier cafe. Parking is available and no entry fee to this zoo. One of the good location to spend a day with kids for someone living near Etobicoke, downtown . There is a childrens play area nearby and a pond too
Loved the free zoo
Always my favourite place to visit on a nice fall day.
cool zoo so many animal!
cool zoo so many animal!
Honestly I was expecting a bit more number/variety of animals. However, the enclosure is well kept and the animals have a good amount of space to roam around.
Great place to spend time with a family
Great Alpaca feeding event
Wonderful zoo with great animals
Nice place to spend the day
It's small, but it's still fun to see the animals. Great for young kids, if you go at the right time you can feed a lama. There is a parking lot right next to the zoo entrance, and an impressive playground with picnic benches on the other side of the parking lot.
nice short walk. playground nearby
Find your spot and Meditate in nature :)
As long as you are not expecting a zoo, you be pleasantly surprised by this “zoo”. Got to see a baby reindeer, that pretty much made the day. Saw some cool Himalayan cows too. Median age was probably six but still fun if you’re in the high park area. Pretty small.
Cute mini zoo for family and young kids. Sometimes you can feed the lLama too!
Best for kids... One of the smallest zoos I have seen..but was excited to see the enormous Bison! Located within High Park, but it is so easy to miss, so please do search for it on Google maps!
Very quiet nature to go away from the noise of the city
peacocks are fantastic
Beautiful walk!
A small selection of animals like Emu, capybara, goats, bulls, deer, ducks, and others. It's free (donation based) and stretches about 700m. It's up hill or down hill depending on where you parked (two entrances).
Kids loves this place & lots to do there.
The cattle and bison looked particularly depressed, not a blade of life left in their undersized pen. I felt very sorry for them. They need to be allowed to roam and run in a large field if they can’t be released, not kept in a dry, lifeless, dirt pen so humans may pass by for a moment attempting to attain some kind of low level novelty rush from seeing a cow in the flesh. yay.
nice mini zoo
Nice Sunday out in High Park family.
Fun little zoo showcasing a half dozen species- with free admission within High Park, and free parking available. Currently the entrance and exit to the zoo is from same point near Grenadier Cafe. Highlights were capybaras and expressive emus.
Cool free zoo in high park!
It's amazing place for kids, however, they don't have a vast collections of animals. Also, on weekends you are not allowed to take your car inside. The distance from the main gate to zoo is almost a kilometre.
Great zoo for the price (free). Good selection of animals, great for kids. Even got wallabies!
Parking available at the park. 15-20 mind walk from Keele or high park subway station to the cafe. Zoo has reindeer, bison, cattle, and a few other animals. The gardens are really nice. I didn't explore any of the trails.
As fun as it ever was. The bison, peacocks, reindeer, emu, yaks and friends were wonderful to see. Come in on the weekends or public holidays for a chance in the petting zoo. For $2 you can hand feed them as well!
V dirty
Excellent little zoo for families. Lots of nature trails to walk on, and many other activities/special events for little children. The volunteer staff are friendly and welcoming, and there is a free petting zoo on Sunday afternoon.
For a completely free zoo in a public park, High Park Zoo is great! It's a short walk from the Adventure Park. As you walk along the street, you'll start to see the animals' homes on both sides of the little road. They have emus, longhorn cattle, and several other animals kids love. In front of each area, there's a plaque explaining each animal. My wife and I went on a Wednesday around 7am and happened to meet one of the zookeepers. He was a very friendly man who even let us into the emu cage to pet the large emu. He told us he's worked at the zoo for 25 years and love it. If you want a free activity for the family, High Park Zoo is recommended!
So sad
Good number of animals for a free zoo at the park. Nice stroll with shaded areas to sit down as well.
It was a nice little walk through high park!
Free zoo. Dog loves it. Wants to play with all the animals ????
Small cute zoo. I always walk three when walking the trails of high park
Small cute zoo. I always walk three when walking the trails of high park
Small zoo with a few animals under major renovation, free entry and free parking close by. My kids enjoyed the walk and especially the peacocks !
Very simple zoo but good enough if you're already there as it's free. Easy parking and in a nice setting. The ground is very uneven so be careful!
We all loved the Zoo!
Capybara came out and was adorable.
This simple zoo is a great family experience.
Needs a security guard to enforce social distancing. Nobody heeds the signs and circles painted on the ground. Parents, be vigilant.
Free zoo. Dog loves it. Wants to play with all the animals ????
Great place to visit while at high park. Best of all, it's free! Would highly recommend donating to support this zoo.
Beautiful Free park to go walk through. Seeing the animals was a delight as well.
Nice little zoo. Glad to have one in the area. :)
The place is nice and clean with nature all around you. Just disappointed could not access the zoo part as the round about was long. Good place though for a visit with friends and family.
It’s very nice small zoo in middle of the city.
Good number of animals for a free zoo at the park. Nice stroll with shaded areas to sit down as well.
There is just no place to park your vehicle. The park parking is just enough to park almost 20 cars and people are queing and waiting for one of those 20 to come back and then to get a parking spot. We came back without visiting the place cause of pathetic parking. Well I guess this is the story of entire Toronto.
Great place in the city to relax and stroll
I fun place to take the kids or just go for a walk. A bonus is that it's free
A good little treat if you're out for a walk in the park
Beautiful park and amazing collection of animals you don’t see other zoos I recommend you to see this park. Great collection of nature
Animals are wonderful
Fun little zoo inside that park. Free admission and llama feeding on summer weekends
Nice, friendly, cozy
Amazing how long this place has been there.
Good place to visit with kids
Capybara, bisons, and emus? What else do you want?!
Perfect for my impatient (under 2 and a 4 year old) kids who got bored after 6 exhibits. It's March, so the Capybara weren't out, but the llamas, cattle, peacocks, yaks, etc were still there. We had a lovely day with the zoo, the café and the castle playground.
I been going to High park every summer with my kids, and it's always fun. Its got everything to spend a complete day
If you come to High Park, you have to stop by. Small but nice. Ideal for children. Many volunteers take care of the animals there. On some days you can support the zoo. I think that there is an honorary association active there. Through the purchase of food and small promotional items you can provide financial support.
Free to visit park inside usual park. Happy animals and good emotions you will have for sure. This park do not take any money from you so do not wait to see a lot of animals here, but it looks very friendly.
Love the little zoo
I took a day trip to Toronto just to see the cherry blossom trees (it was a bit of a disappointment to be honest) but while I was there decided to see this free zoo that was in the park. It was the highlight of the day. While small, it was thoroughly enjoyable. We strolled with our baby in his stroller along the long pathway which is lined on both sides for most of the zoo. There is a small section where you can feed and pet some llamas (alpaca’s?) which was a nice change. They had bison, rams, peacocks, reindeer, emu, and more. I was shocked by how many different large animals they had, and what a variety, in this smaller zoo. Each animal seemed to have a decent amount of space to roam and hang out, and looked like they were well taken care of. It was a nice little surprise hidden in the park, and the fact that it is FREE means that it’s totally worth it. It made our walk through the park that much more special.
Amazing free zoo.
Great for the little ones not enough parking
Beautiful park and I was surprised that they had animals.
Kids love this little gem of a zoo and it’s free!
Animals look like they need a wash, but overall it was nice!
Mini zoo • oasis in the city • nature • open year round •
Good for kids
Very nice for young kids!
It’s a nice place to visit with family and friends!!!????
Pretty small yet interesting enough
Really a nice and cool small zoo where you can get up close to animals.
A very good place for children to visit. Zoo is free.
I been going to High park every summer with my kids, and it's always fun. Its got everything to spend a complete day
I've been four times over the course of 5 years and to my recollection, it hasn't changed. Of course, with each successive visit, there are diminishing returns. However, it was clearly sufficiently interesting in the beginning to motivate my return.
Small zoo for kids. Good experience
Great place to take the family, parking is a challenge. We parked on some nearby residential streets and walked in. Even though there was a sign saying do not feed the animals we witnessed many families feeding the llamas seeds & oats & things. Would be good if they could better enforce this rule!
Free zoo. Dog loves it. Wants to play with all the animals ????
Great place to take grand kids. Very stimulus! Even as an adult Always fascinating
Well maintained little zoo in the city. The animals were well taken care of, and enclosures were well maintained. Great family experience. Would recommend to anyone! Only wish the city gave them a bigger budget, there are some areas that need improvement, mainly comfort items for humans (like more benches, improved road, etc)
A great place to visit with friends and family
The was fun to see and smell the animals
It is a jewel in the city of Toronto from the cherry blossoms to the Shakespeare in the park. Even a little zoo in the middle and complete restaurant with breakfast specials midweek.
The kids loved it!!
Let's not call this a zoo. They are a few animals here.
It so cool for kids
Best Free zoo. Capybara looked cute.
My dogs love it
You can visit this park and its zoo with your family for free, including free parking. It may be very busy and parking might be scare the first few days (specially weekends) that Toronto gets warmer weather and during cherry blossom. The zoo has a number of animals local to Americas such as Bison, Llama, Capybara, etc. Kids will enjoy interacting with animals but make sure they do not touch them! You can give donation to the zoo using the boxes along the road. The zoo has two entrances and the road is pretty steep.
Great park. Well tended. Animals, too.
Good for little children. Nice playground near by.
It's okay lot of grass and trees and a lake with smell of fish and a zoo which keeps cows for display.
It wasn't quite in peak season yet
good recreation for kids.
Small, but nice for kids!
Nice place for a walk ....
It's a great way to share the exp with family friends girlfriends vice versa and to relive cjildhood memorys
A small zoo in the heart of high park has a decent amount of animals and is a nice little walk that leads to a large park. Quiet and often never crowded, it's a calm place to pass through and see some new animals without having to pay for it to see.
all animals were in their shelters and there only a few animals. It worth just once and no more.
Beautiful place
petting zoo pretty insane. 5
It is a free admission zoo, could not complaint. However, more animals can be added to increase the charm.
Cute little zoo with a few animals. Perfect for toddlers. You can't pet most animals but they do have an enclosure with Llamas and baby chickens that you can hold, pet and feed
Fun for kids. Limited number of animals but easy walk for small children.
Bad experience with bathrooms
Kids loved it !!!
Kids loved it !!!
It's not a great zoo by any means But it is free! Nice place to take the kids. They have growth plans. You can stroll and see the animals.
5 star because it is well maintained and available to all without a fee. Good place for the kids while on a day’s outing at High Park.
Visited on Dec 10. It’s Closed. Website should update the closure
It's a beautiful place to walk with friends and family. Lovely for kids
Such a cute little zoo
The energy here is so pleasant, makes for a great day out with the family. Make sure you visit the petting zoo! Its not just for the kids, trust me. (If you get there at the right time you can join the llama walk ????)
Really nice! Our family totally enjoyed their visit to the zoo. Thumbs up to the staff who were very courteous.
Zoo in centre of the park and the city wow
I like the fact that it is free to enter. There are donation bins set up if you choose to donate. Not all animals are out during thr fall and winter but there is definitely enough to have a good time and see some cool creatures. I also really liked the info graphics about each animal. You can learn some interesting facts. And I appreciate that dogs are allowed to enter.
Not a proper zoo, fewer collection but each animal habitat setup is large. Great place with lots of activities for family and kids.
My kids love it there.
A great place for kids. Centrally located. Free.
We all loved the Zoo!
The animals are really cute. There's not a lot of different types, but overall good experience
A nice small zoo and play area for kids
Awesome park to spend time with friends or go for a jog
Nice little zoo to go with kids. Its free
See llamas, peacocks, and muskox in the city!
Not enough animals to actually call it a zoo, but it's free and worth taking 10 minutes to walk through. Most animals seem to have a lot of open space as well as their own houses where they can hide away from park visitors when they're feeling shy.
Nice park
Been coming here for 28 years, still a thrill
A small little zoo. Good place to take your kids
Classic high park free zoo. Can't go wrong
Its good place...but not as we expected...very few animals are there
Yeah good place to visit with kids . Whole day fun picnic
Nice place to visit with small kids
Number one, it's free! It has a decent selection of animals and it's perfect for toddlers. It's not very busy and open for most of the day.
Clean. Fun. Lots of activites to do with young children.
Small collection of animals, free to enter, keeps the kids imagination growing.
Great for all ages. Has everything you need to tire out the kids.
It's a great way to share the exp with family friends girlfriends vice versa and to relive cjildhood memorys
Washroom very bad
Very interesting for kids and even adults.
Zoo is small in size, not many animals but for kids its great place
Great free zoo for little ones. My 3 year old enjoyed himself for sure!!!
Cute Animals????
Small but cute little zoo with llamas and peacocks and bisons.
Oooooh my God...
Lots of trails to choose from. On occasion manage to catch hawks on camera. Different birds by thee water are always entertaining. Lots of parking but be aware of one way ring road in and around the park. Slow down as there are children and pedestrians on the roadway. The zoo is also an interesting place to visit
Great park, big and beautiful. Fishing is good too. Just on warm you can catch a bluegill, perch, rarely bass. On the weekends parking they closing now due to COVID. Animals still we can see.
Love High Park! This amazing and huge beautiful park has the following: Skating rinks/sledding hills/swimming pools/cross country skiing/biking paths/hiking paths/a Zoo/green house/tennis courts/soccer and baseball fields, plus so much more to discover! Don't cut yourself short, visit this amazing serene park?
Adequate place for children. Must be better places to visit. However good time spent for free
Little zoo is great and definitely recommend bringing kids or animal lovers. Generally it's not that busy but some weekends can be busy.
Most of the activities are shut down due to the virus .
It is a jewel in the city of Toronto from the cherry blossoms to the Shakespeare in the park. Even a little zoo in the middle and complete restaurant with breakfast specials midweek.
For a small park zoo in the city it a quick visit for little ones to explore. Shaded walkways make it enjoyable on hot days.
Honestly - what more can you expect from a zoo in the middle of a park in Toronto? It's a fun time for how quickly you can walk through it.
Great for a walk and to see different animals!
Love the lay out and the information given
Animals are not exotic which is good because they are more likely to be comfortable in the climate. Not enough space for alot of the animals though.
Great place to spend with family
Not many animals but good for kids
Great for family and kids however the washrooms were closed when we went, they have portable washrooms but be prepared
Undergoing some construction at the moment, so some areas were closed/ unable to pass through but it's a great little free zoo!
Good hanging out place with kids
Great for the family
Swimming day for the kida
Nice. Free. Not outstanding.
Best place to spend time with family.
Really nice place to visit with kids.
Very nice place to walk and kids have to much fun
Such a gem in the city! The park is very large and lots of nice paths to walk. There is an epic playground as well! The small zoo was a lot fo fun too! Consider supporting with a donation!
Great place to take kids and family. Very nicely done up
Free, small, entertaining for 10 mins.
High Park is the secret natural gift of Toronto
For free you can't complain. There wasn't very many animals to see. Plus the ones that were there were either resting or hiding. The kids did enjoy it
This is a fantastic location to visit! These animals are well-cared- by the staff and they appear to be happy and healthy. The creatures they've selected to host are small enough to fit in a small zoo or enclosure. Ducks and geese can be found in the vicinity. It was fantastic! You can visit the bunnies and llamas on weekends and pet them under the supervision of volunteers. I believe there are plans to improve this zoo in the future, so you may see some additions.
Lots of babys right now to see. Not my favorite place but it's cute does the kids.
Amazing park, Zoo is very good and affordable
Excellent
A pleasant walk with park zoo animals.
Beautiful park and small zoo non fees. Grounds and animal facilities well kept. Great for walks, bike riding, pet walking etc.
Nice clean kids enjoy it adults have fun, great view and landscape.
Excellent
Great little spot in Toronto to see some cool animals up close.
Loved it
Best zoo in world
Great free experience for the kids..
Clean and well maintained zoo. A great outdoor place to go!
Awesome and little one went nuts for reindeer
Kids can feed and pet lamas.
Very nice
Free and fun
Fin low key family activity. Be sure to check out the amazing kids jungle gym structure afterwards!
We got to see the Capybaras! Very excited to see them just relaxing. The Llamas were out and about as were a lot of the sheep and cattle.
The zoo itself is amazing love bringing the family here.... but when I was there on the 30th of dec many of the animals didnt have any water, and one of the animals beside the llamas looked sick I belive it was the yak
Great place for all.
Beautiful visit with wonderful animals .. Great for kids!
Its a bit small, but the kids liked it. Easy enough to access. Would recommend.
It's a beautiful little zoo for people. Its not like the Toronto zoo but has a few animals that everyone can enjoy and appreciate it. My children enjoy it not only does it have a little zoo but has a swimming pool childrens park which is also listed as a top 10 park for children to visit in the city.
This is a nice a little zoo in the park. Perfect for toddlers. Had a lot more animals than I expected. Best of all it's free.
Nice place for kids
Wonderful! Kids love it!
Fun place to visit
I'm just visiting the zoo, and almost all the animals are out of water. You can also see some of them licking the floor thirsty. It's really sad to see all these marvelous animals in these poor conditions.
What a lovely way to spend a day - walking through the park, admiring the scenery; visiting the zoo and seeing all the animals! The bison were quite impressive. The baby is so cute and the father is massive- I had no idea how big a bison could be. Stopped at the restaurant in the park for a bite to eat too.
Nice to walk around but I wish there were more animals to see.
Nice park, free parking
Love this and its free
Love High Park! This amazing and huge beautiful park has the following: Skating rinks/sledding hills/swimming pools/cross country skiing/biking paths/hiking paths/a Zoo/green house/tennis courts/soccer and baseball fields, plus so much more to discover! Don't cut yourself short, visit this amazing serene park?
Excellent place for kids and picnics
beautiful park I wish the city would pump just a little more money and make it better
One of the best scenic area in Toronto. Beautiful sunny day
Every year we always make a visit to the high park zoo. Not only do I love it but my dog does too! It is a small zoo but a great addition to high park. Highly recommend for everyone to check it out. :)
Nothing exotic but it's a beautiful walk.
Best park in Toronto, where you can leave the city but be in the city.
Love this zoo. Such a beautiful gem in a urban neighborhood. It is free off charge, small and manageable for little children to discover. We realy enjoyed it and will be back soon for sure !
Urban zoo, it's cool I guess
Nice free zoo, not a lot of animals but big ones in there. A must if you get into high park.
I moved to the city about half a year ago and have come here a small handful of times. I'm a big fan of being outdoors on hikes, especially in the fall! ???? I was recently told about there being a zoo here which blew my mind! Whether you're a fan of nature walks with friends and dogs or you like to see animals, High Park is the place to be! ????????
Very small but kids like it.
Great place for families, singles, and nature lovers !))
excellent zoo
Free and easy to get there. I love the little wallaby.
Visited on Dec 10. It’s Closed. Website should update the closure
Nicest Park in Toronto.
Been going to the HP Zoo my whole life and it holds a special place in my heart. Congrats on receiving the funding! I am so excited for this!
Terrible customer experience. Website clearly says entry till 7pm. Got here for just after 630pm with my 3 year old. He was really excited to see the animals again. Refused entry. Person at the gate said a sign near the entry says last entry at 630. I let them know they used to allow till 645, and website says entry till 7pm. She refused to listen. I said we will ensure getting out for 7pm, my 3 year old is really excited. No! I said you should make sure website is updated for others - no ownership taken whatsoever. She indicatea she would let her supervisor know. How does that help me or anyone? At least tell me you heard my complaint and will fix it. Feel really shitry for getting my 3 year old all excited about the zoo, and then having some poorly executed and random policy ruin his experience. Anyway, hope this helps others. Get there before 630pm - or perhaps before some other random time they decide without telling anyone!
This is a fun place to bring the kids, and it's great that it is free!
awesome park!!@@
there is no where to park the vehicle and that complicates it.
Nice zoo
One of the best place in Toronto. They have the best views on the spring and the fall seasons.
One of the greatest parks in Toronto, a park and a zoo all combined in one. Animals are cared for over there and the entire park is clean and huge. I would def recommend for family picinics and outings. Ps parking can get a bit hard on weekends but its not “impossible”
Plan a full day trip with family n friends.
Great view of nature during summer
Very disappointed this time as the animals were not well kept and didn't look in a good shape. Animals were looking for water and the water tank was empty, felt incredibly sorry for them and informed the management.
Well maintained zoo. Fun watching the animals and birds.
Always fun big park in the city
Always fun big park in the city
It's a fun place!
Nice place well maintained
Only 4 stars because of the buffalo gave me a funny look
So great to have a space like this in the middle of the city for kids and parents alike. On weekends the zoo has feeding programs so you can take your kids, nieces or nephews to feed and pet animals.
Fun!
Not much to see really
Nice place to spend a day off with kids.
No variation. My kid was disappointed.
Still very popular among families with young children. Make sure to wear a mask and keep distance from people who are not from your own group.
Oh so cute...and I heard they’re all rescue animals so makes me feel better I guess(?)
Beautiful place but I think is too small for the animals
Nice place for ur kids, always available and safe
THEY LEAVE THE ANIMALS WITHOUT WATER ON SUCH HOT SUMMER DAYS. Isn’t enough that they’re keeping these animals captive for MONEY!!? Shame.
The lama's were so friendly and cute.
Very nice zoo!
love it! its free all year long
Llamas and capybaras here are the cutest ❤️
Zoo was hard to find
Free zoo! Don't forget to donate :)
This facility is looking extremely rundown with many of the animals missing when in was here. I know that there is a revitalization plan based on donations but it almost appears that this is a never never plan. Saying this, my young children did appreciate coming here. It is right beside free parking near the playground.
Beautiful place to go specially for kids ♥️staff is very helpful and they also do little activities for children which make children fresh in this summer season . It was an amazing experience, The property is clean and Love the safety measures in place and signs all over to remind you to stay safe. Highly recommend ????visit this place once.
Very crowded. Must be very motivated and quick to be able to find a parking spot. The park is very nice and once walking around away from the masses of people it can be very relaxing.
Not that much to see really. I guess it works if your a kid
Not as big as the Toronto Zoo, obviously, but still fun to visit. Well worth the trip.
Free zoo few animals fun little walk
Such an amazing place but the only thing was missing is you???????? Must visit.
Great little Zoo. Good one way paths set up due to COVID. Was a little busy, but we went on a holiday Monday.
Beautiful park, great to spend time.
Too much fun, the Bison were Majestic!
Such a great (free!) zoo to take our daughter on the weekends. We usually stop at the Grenadier Cafe first for breakfast, and then walk down to the zoo. In warmer weather on weekends they setup a petting zoo where you can feed the lamas and capybaras, as well as hold chickens and rabbits. Sometimes you can also watch them walk the lamas up and down the road. The zoo is open in the winter, but if it's really cold some of the animals won't be outside. There's a great playground at the bottom of the hill too. Really a wonderful and inexpensive way to spend a couple hours on the weekend with kids.
Nice zoo. Its better to come with your family and friends
Hard to find entrance (covid)but great free zoo
Nice free zoo but not adequate room for some of the animals.
Kids loved all the animals.
Very beautiful park. It's extremely large and spacious, which is an ideal place for joggers, bikers and camping trips for families and schoolers as well. High Park has a zoo with a variety of animals that might keep your interest. Its scenes look gorgeous in summer and autumn due to the blossom of apricot and other plants. Gonna put your mind at ease!
Excellent for school trips!
Great little day trip for the family. Various activities available
A lot of fun, the pens aren't very large and there's not a huge diversity of animals but for free admission it is definitely enough to keep you amused. Especially if you have kids or a child-like sense of wonder. I went during the weekend and did the "llama walk" and it was a lot of fun. You get to pet and feed the llamas, but they also have rabbits and baby hens which you can handle and they're quite docile. The llama feeding they do ask for a small $2 donation which is pretty reasonable considering the free admission.
Huge park great for a walk or bike ride. Lots of great spots to take pictures also. The zoo is a bit underwhelming so don't hype it up to your kids too much beforehand
The High Park Zoo presents a nice stroll through beautiful High Park. The Zoo hosts several different types of animals that are rare, including capybaras, mountain goats, and Scottish highland cattle. All the animals have ample room to roam and the zookeepers did a great job of providing food and water in humane and safe ways for the animals while we visited. The road to view the animals is short, but I believe it is definitely worth visiting for about 45 minutes if you are in High Park. Overall, a great experience and worth seeing every year or two when visiting High Park!
Free and lots of animals to see....such a lovely relaxing place to be, but still only a short street car journey away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Toronto ????
An outstanding family day out and free entry! What are you waiting for? On my visit to Canada I was stunned to discover this gem was free to visit, they have a decent range of animals, the camels and river otters are of particular note, a huge number of children's play parks, a small water play park and decent picnic areas mean that if you are reading this and haven't visited and have a younger family then you need to drop in. Decent parking facilities and clean toilets. 5 stars.
Nice small walking zoo. Good for kids just to see some animals like Llama, goats, cows, emu, deer and peacocks and more. Free parking available, but today it was closed for cars, so we parked on the streets across the park and walk in.
It's a unique place to visit for family, we liked the kids' wooden playground. The reason I gave 3 stars is the disorganizing of entrance to the main park and the zoo itself. There was a sign on the site stating no parking at weekends, so we parked outside. After a good walk to the zoo area, there was another sign telling all the people that this entrance is closed, come from the north gate near "whatever" café. Otherwise, everything was good.
Zoo is free of cost and best time pass with kids.
Cute little zoo
Grt restaurant for breakfast beautiful place to walk
Beautiful place to go peaceful free parking
Went with fam and the walk was great
I went to the high park zoo on december 25 with my kids. The place was nice and my kids enjoyed the animals. The only reason why i put 4 stars was because the washrooms were not open. We went with small kids and they needed bathroom. We had to leave soon because of this.
Perfect place for family
Very few Animals over there...
High Park zoo is a smaller zoo. But it's great for small children see the animals up close. The zoo offers activities for the children. Plus the park has lots of wildlife for the children to see. Such as ducks, squirrels, birds ECT. Please great walking trails, picnic areas, cherry tree blossoms, ECT. Plus areas play sports.
No parking in weekends. And very difficult to find one in the nearby neighbourhood as well
Best park in the centralwest end of City of Toronto. Quality has however declined from years passed. Much room for improvement... But not with today's Toronto's political agendas and lack of qualified personnel.
Great experience!
Nice variety of animals, free parking close by if you can snag a spot. Bring cash. Good shade cover.
Lots of babys right now to see. Not my favorite place but it's cute does the kids.
One of my favourite places to go. Always take a different path and you'll never be disappointed. I love how you can feed the llamas in the summer. A great place to go for a hike or park a lawn chair somewhere and enjoy nature.
Took the kids here after the remodeling. Loads of improvements, great free zoo and the kids loved it.
Went over the summer the past few years. There is so much to see and do at High Park. The zoo is small but so much fun for kids to see. It's free and if you live in the city it's something so easy to do if you are looking to entertain your kids. It's outdoors which is a good option with covid around. You can have a picnic, buy some ice cream, visit the splash pad and even go play in a huge playground which kids will love, Jamie Bell Adventure Park. Fun day trip for kids with young family.
I love the park but it needs to have more parking.
Ah I remember coming through here as a young stoner getting baked with my friends then walking in there great to see its stayed preserved after many years
small zoo
Nature trails, guided walks, theatre
Animals look healthy and fit. They have good enough personal space.
Animals look healthy and fit. They have good enough personal space.
Great spot tucked away in a great park in the city. Great date spot!
Great park for a walk lots to see
Nice zoo. They don't have many animals, but they have some beautiful ones. It is like a petting zoo. Its under constraction so be carefull access is only on Colborne Lodge.
the reason for 4 stars is, during summer time it's almost impossible to walk because of "odour" ????.
Morning hours less crowd
Free zoo. Could use a toilet and better lighting.
It's free...so you get what you pay for
I love high park zoo it's an awesome place you see so many cute animals there.
Nice big park
Love this little zoo in the heart of the city. And high park is massive
Your enjoyment would be dependent on how you want to spend your weekend. Options for barbeque, small get together, birthday parties, small zoo and a journey in tram are the the ones that I liked during summer season.. especially since my journey was with family and 1 year old baby.
Great park, big and beautiful. Fishing is good too. Just on warm you can catch a bluegill, perch, rarely bass. On the weekends parking they closing now due to COVID. Animals still we can see.
Always a fun safe outdoor activity for the little kids!
Nice little zoo.
Free small selection of zoo animals. Good for small kids.
Nice for a walk on a nice day.
Beautiful zoo a great place to spend a morning enjoying with your kids.
Pretty cool to walk through considering it's free. It's not very big. But if you're spending some time in high park it's worth the walk through.
Amazing place to take family specially kids.
Its closed due to Covid ????
Great place to meet furry friends in the city
This zoo is simply great .. hope more ppl donate especially since it’s free ! But yesterday ,we found the kid ( mountain goat) a bit distressed , may bec due to ppl watching. It was constantly banging its head on the fence . Hope it gets the care it needs !
Nice place, relaxing, fun for kids
Great place for the kids and its free
Ok
Love the furballs. And the featherballs. Good frens.
Cute for a stroll on a nice day. Great that it’s free.
Nice outing for the kids. A small free zoo that lets the kids see a few animals.
Few animals, but the ones there are interesting to know.
Amazing place,Thanks High Park Zoo
Nice getaway for little kids to go see some animals. They have fun activities during summer. Some weekends you can go there and pet those bunnies and llamas under the supervision of volunteers. I think there are plans to improve this zoo, so you might see some additions in the future.
Love the Park, it's educational and it seems like the animals have enough space.
Good for a quick walk through, beautiful park
Clearly the facility requires more donations. However, they are doing their best.
Shame on people who created it, poor animals caged in tiny spaces. Animals did not streak like they are enjoying any of it...
Nice place for kids. They allow to feed animals as well. It is hard to find parking though.
Fun Day for all
Lovely animals but they needs some more care.
Park is nice, but parking is hell!
Great park for kids and family picnic ☺
Amazing for our little one. There is no entrance fee ????
Not great place to visit separately but when you visit high park, just walk around the place.
Pretty great for a free zoo! Obviously nothing super exotic, but a good eclectic mix of animals - reindeer, mountains goats, peacocks, ostrich, capybara, etc - basically a step beyond what you'd find in and around the GTA. Not a long walk/big zoo, but with kids can easily spend about an hour if you stop to observe each animal.
Not bad for a free zoo.
A jewel in the city. Just the best way to spend an afternoon. No charge so great fun on a budget.
It contains yaks, llamas, emus, and escaping capybaras that made international headlines.
A place one should visit at least few times a year; and our family we are. Park your car near park's restaurant or on the road (it is busy, very busy there, most of the year to find a spot). There have plenty of animals, for a such small park, such as peacock, yak, bison, mountain goat, Scottish cow, just to mention few. Kids love to look at them, take pics like mine, talk to them, admire them every second; all for free, as there is no entry fee to get in there. Well, the park ask nicely to donate some if one can. It would be sad one day if this place will go one day. All people, small and big really enjoy of being there. Usually, parents going to the playground using the road, where this zoo is located and they going back the same road, making their kids double happy to interact with animals again. Yes, I recommend this place to all people; and once you see this place, will come back soon.
Great dog park..zoo animals in great shape.
Love this free zoo located in gorgeous High Park. Don’t forget to visit the Capybaras!
zoo still close.
Fantastic! Gem in Toronto city. And it’s free. Highly recommend.
Very small zoo but nice. Has lamas, cattles, capybaras, bison, sheep, peacocks, and few other animal. Not a lot of animal, but it is free entry, so no complaints. In fact, it is a nice little surprise as it is in the middle of High Park. Go for the cherry blossom, and visit the animals on the way out. Nice little treat for the little ones.
For free it’s the best place to bring a family and enjoy the park!
Nice zoo. Its better to come with your family and friends
Great free zoo in the middle of Toronto's park!
Nice experience... my daughter loved ????seeing the animals
