We just visited them today and we had an amazing time! The owners are so passionate about their animals, and about ensuring that their guests have great time. They do go above and beyond! My son was thrilled with all the animals he was fortunate to encounter. It's evident that they care about all the animals! We had a blast and we will be back!!! ????????????

I’ve been meaning to take my sons for a petting zoo experience and I’ve come across Thistle Hill Farm online. When I found out that they were opening their farm up, I was very excited. They did not disappoint. We had a great time and the kids left with some good memories that they were still talking about in the car on the way back to Edmonton. The owner, “Farmer AL” was very accommodating and gracious, he explained things throughout. My kids were able to pet, feed and groom the animals. My sons were also able to ride the ponies, which were very friendly by the way. The tractor ride was a nice treat at the end. I would highly recommend a trip to his farm and we are definitely planning to visit again in the future. Oh and don’t forget to bring a hat and water bottle when you go.

If you want more of a hands on experience, then check this place out. You get to rid the ponies, take a hay ride, and feed the wallabies.

Great value for a wonderful experience for all ages. Thistle Hill Farm Petting Zoo has a variety of petting stations, a tractor ride as you learn a little bit about the history and operations of the farm, and even a pony riding station. The animals were so friendly and even a few got really cuddly. I will definitely be going back.

This is our first time to visit this place and we had so much fun! The owner which is happened to be the host was very accommodating and helpful. They will guide you all the way and give some helpful tips to approach animals. All animals we've seen so far was happy and well taken for. The experienced that my 4 year old son had was awesome. Me and wife enjoyed the animals and the place too. We will encourage some friends to visit this place and we are highly recommending this pet farm. Please support this local farm. Thank you so much!

This was an amazing experience for my daughter. We set up a birthday party for a small group, and the staff and owners are so amazing and friendly. Between the pony rides and walking them, to the various animals and the tractor ride with a little history of the farm and how things work. This was hands down one of the sweetest parties for my daughter. My family had such an amazing time I could easily see returning here again in the future. Thank you for the great experience and memories.

We had a wonderful morning at the Thistle Hill Farm Petting Zoo. Farmer Al, his wife Farmer Carol and their daughter were all VERY friendly and taught us a lot about the animals and the farm. We loved interacting with the many different animals and my sons especially enjoyed the pony ride, grooming and taking a pony for a walk, and the wagon ride. We highly recommend this petting zoo and look forward to our next visit. Thank you!

To anyone looking for a wonderful animal experience for your family certainly consider Thistle Hill Farm & petting zoo. Whether for a visit in the summer to their petting zoo or birthday party petting zoo. We visited Al and Carol’s petting zoo this summer and our children loved every moment for the great one on one time with the well behaved animals. We as adults loved the experience as well. Al and Carol were friendly and very knowledgeable about all the animals at their petting zoo. They have shared their animals in schools, homes, community events and I found out today with seniors homes as well. Their animals are well loved and cared for and they have a wonderful setup for their petting zoo. Great place to get some “pet therapy”. We had them come to our home today with their mobile petting zoo to be part of our daughter’s 3rd birthday party. What a highlight of her special day, spent with family and friends. “Farmer Al” and Carol were very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We had such a great time with the animals and love all the stories and information they shared with us and everyone at the birthday party. It’s obvious they have been doing this for years and love what they do and sharing these opportunities with so many people. Our older son was requesting “an animal party” like his younger sister’s soon after they left today. We had the petting zoo in our heated garage, honestly Al and Carol cleaned and the garage looked as clean as when they arrived. Five stars and above to you both for your wonderful business and a “big Thank you” from the birthday girl and our family.

What a delightful little farm. The animals are all very friendly and you can just tell they are well taken care of. You can get up close and personal with all manner of barnyard creatures and even wallabies! A family picture on a tractor and a wagon ride round out the adventure. 100% recommend. We will be back!

My kids and I had a wonderful time here. We were warmly welcomed to the farm and had a blast meeting all the animals. Everything was well laid out, clean and accessable for all ages. Highly recommended for young kids to get up close with personal with some cute critters.

A real gem of a place. Family friendly. Just a short drive southeast of Edmonton. Farmer Al (maybe you saw his cameo in the movie Fubar?) and his wife Carol were exceptionally nice and guided us through their petting zoo/farm. Pony rides, goats, cows, sheep, ducks, geese, bunnies, guinea pigs, wallabys, tractor rides etc. All animals appear healthy and well-cared for. They also hold birthday parties. They just opened in August of 2021 (having been a mobile petting zoo pre-COVID). I would certainly recommend going here (plan to spend 1-2hrs) and look forward to returning as they continue to expand in 2022.

What an amazing afternoon! Wonderful staff, great selection of farm animals, tons of room, and suitable across all ages! Highlights include styling a pony with some hair bows, pony rides, feeding the bunnies some carrots, tractor trailer ride and the warmth of Farmer Al and Farmer Carol! 10/10 would recommend, and 100% will be back!!

What an absolutely awesome experience! Went to Thistle Hill on the weekend with my littles. My kids really enjoyed it and so did my husband and I. Wide range of animals that you can get up close to and pet, feed and hold. Also enjoyed a tractor ride and pony rides. Farmer Al and Farmer Carol were very friendly and welcoming. A good way to spend a couple hours and very reasonable prices. We will be back!

Today we went to the thistle Hill Farm petting zoo, it was great experience for kids and adults actually, so calming and variety of animals to pet and see, farmer Al and his wife and daughter were great people so much informative and nice nice people we ll go definitely again every time we have chance :)
