Lots of renovations going on. Don't go during the week in the month of June as it is packed with school kids on end of year field trips.

It's OK. The original way of viewing was five when I was a kid in the 70s, called Story land Zoo. The city got to stop wasting money on art museums for the slim amount of rich snobs. They got to put it into places like this to up size it and make it more enjoyable. More middle/lower class people help the economy. I still ended up buying souvenirs to help support the zoo.

Nice experience, kids loves this place, make sure your kids have sneakers, open shoes are no a good idea here

The Saito Center, located at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, is part of the premier Edmonton river valley attractions. The zoo is undergoing much needed upgrading. Many of the interesting animals are in non viewing winter accomodations for several months of the year and this will, hopefully alleviated once construction is completed. The parking lot has always been in the most disgusting condition, full of potholes and puddles.

The Edmonton zoo is a gem! We have an annual pass amd visit regularly. It’s a great outdoor environment to spend time in, lay on the grass, eat a snack, etc.

There may not be as many exhibits as the zoo in Calgary but the lack of people more than makes up for it. Also they are upgrading.

The zoo doesn't have a clear path, it's confusing to find anything or know which way to go. It was under construction so it was loud. Pee before you go in, you'll never find a bathroom. The animals all seem like they are in small habitats and not the correct temps, foliage or "weather". The elephant cruising around was cool. Price is good.
