Waited quite a while at the counter to be served. The bartender kept my change and assumed I was going to tip him with it so he put them in the tip cup automatically. Their saving grace was how many beer options there are here.

An amazing bar located inside The Forks. You’ll find 20 beers on tap and 20 wines on tap. Usually about half the beers are from local breweries and the rest from small breweries across the country. Lots of restaurants surrounding the bar itself with lots of seating everywhere. Visiting Winnipeg or just looking for a fun place to go you can’t go wrong.

The common is in the forks market. It is unique because the entire first floor of this market has a liquor license so you can take your drink with you. they sell both beer and wine on tap. You can also get flights of beer and wine. I don't know much about the wine side because I'm there for the beer. they rotate the taps out less frequently and then I would like but they are rotating them more often. You can try a good selection of both local and far away beers and often that they will have rotating taps that changed more frequently.

I love that they have wine flights! I'm not a beer drinker, and all I ever see elsewhere are beer flights. In the past, they had a menu with suggested flights, and you could build your own, but only wines under a certain price, but this last time there was no mention, only build your own, and they were all available for flights. I like sitting at the bar top too. Great place.

A nice bar in the Forks market. It was open later than most places in the market so we stopped by to check it out. They had a variety of beer on tap and there was a line to order. A fantastic space that is alive year round. Winter is as busy as summer - evenings and weekends can definitely get jam packed. Sample up to 20 wines and 20 beer that rotate periodically throughout the year. A great place to go with a group as everyone can pick a different place to eat and order from.

Love the common! Great to see The Forks moving forward with the times. Great selection of local and other craft beers. I really enjoy going with groups, everyone gets to eat what they want. Sitting at the bar, people watching, talking to tourists, talking to people who haven't been here in years. GREAT TIMES. I just hope they get some patio space for the summer at some point. Will be going back here constantly.

This is one of my favourite food hall/market concepts in the country. Not only is the design of the space itself striking, The Common boasts a lot of great food vendors and a great sit-down restaurants as well (Passero). When it's nice out, their huge outdoor area is all licensed so you can grab a craft beer, wine or cocktail and go sit by the river.

First off...BIG shout out to Everett, Zack and Nikki at The Common beer and wine market. My girlfriend and I went specifically to The Common on Christmas Eve to enjoy a few beers and soak in the holidays at The Forks for a bit as we had nothing to do until dinner later that evening. I had recognized Everett the last time we went to the Forks. We enjoyed several flights of beers and they/we sang Christmas music and generally everyone was in such a great mood. It was really nice to see. As a rule my better half and I always sit at the bar anywhere we go and it’s times like this that don’t disappoint. The beer selection was fantastic and between her and I we drank the list. It was a truly special Christmas Eve and we are glad we got to share it with them.

Rude staff. Ordered a Riesling for $9 and the guys poured a 3oz pour?! Brought it back to them to ask for the remaining advertised 3oz and they refused to own up to their mistake. Poured a 6oz glass in front of me and was clearly over double what they poured us and still refused to fill our glass. Can’t fix stupid sometimes. Nice place with good selection, just need to find some better staff. Won’t be back.

I love what they have done in adding the Common (and better food options) to the forks market. Its lively and fun in there now! I actually want to take out-of-town visitors down to check out the forks because of what they have done with the place.

Unique experience to be able to sit in a "food court" style place, but the arrangement of the tables forces you to sit with others. Not everyone's cup of tea, I know and there are other smaller tables to sit at. But the large family-style tables bring strangers together to feel like friends. It was obvious they took into consideration the Forks being a meeting place when they designed this space. So nice to see tons of people using it again. Lots of restaurants to choose from, something for everyone. Only drawback is you might have to wait a bit for a seat (but I've never had to wait an obscene amount of time, usually only a few minutes!)

I asked for 8oz beer and i was serve with 75% of that glass and the answer was i am sorry but i could not fill it up. I understand that position when the glass is 12oz but not with the small glass which i paid for. In conclusion i got a 10 bucks beer with 6 oz beer. I think someone needs training about quantities and how to serve a beer

friendly staff, mostly knowledgably - sometimes they definitely have more knowledge on beer or wine and clearly are winging it on what they're recommending for the other, but they're trying. Really nice outdoor space since the pandemic, it's great to see the effort made to continue offering the same standard of atmosphere. Not sure what it will be like in the winter. The inside space is really missing atmosphere these days, of course with the pandemic they need to limit capacity somehow, it just seems like maybe there was a nicer way to go about it. Looks more like a mall food court than the lovely and inviting space it used to seem like.

Despite the odd scumvanian wandering over and causing trouble from their usual hunting grounds on Main street, and doubly despite the fact that the security would rather make sure you're vaxxed than take care of the scenes the hobos and drunk folk cause, it's a nice place to watch the river while enjoying a beer. Easily my favorite bar in the city. So many restaurants for whatever your in the mood for. The rotating taps of craft beers ensure that there's always something new to try and the staff are always very friendly, and happy to offer recommendations, samples, or just chat with whoever is sitting at the bar. In my experience it isn't unusual to end up striking up conversation with someone from out of town who was told that they had to check out the Forks. The patio and out-door bar added last summer are awesome!

There is a lot to love about this place. If I pay 9$ for a beer, I should not be asked to tip. This is probably the most expensive place to drink in the City. Pay. Your. Employees. It's not a hard concept. There is no table service, which is fine. But to suggest a 15% tip, for absolutely nothing? The place clearly doesn't respect the workers, and want the customer to subsidize that respect. Be better. This is embarrassing.

The person who came up with the idea of creating The Common, a beer and wine hub in the centre of the Forks, is a marketing genius! The Forks recently underwent a massive renovation, modernizing the restaurants, overhead lighting (the new lights are gorgeous), and seating, and The Common is at the front of it all. I have visited several times, and always enjoy myself. They serve local craft beer and have a selection of wine as well. No food is served here, but there are a multitude of fantastic restaurants all around. Lastly, one of the best aspects is that the entire lower level (indoors only and not upstairs) is licenced, so patrons are permitted to carry their beer or wine around while checking out the Forks.
