This place has a good selection of craft beer. Not massive but well curated. Ask staff for advice because a couple of them really know their stuff. Prices are as you should expect of a private shop.

Does the retail wage-slave behind the counter know its rude to stand there staring at us, the customer, like we're a bunch of thieves? Don't worry bud even though I could empty the shelves I won't be buying anything there again lol.

Personal is very friendly, selection of craft beer is not very wide, but sometimes you can find smth really old and intersting, like barley wines from the previous years.

I live in the United States and called The Village Taphouse Wine Store to see if they would be able to deliver a variety of wines to a friend of mine in Vancouver. Not only were they extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all of their wine selections, they were also extremely accommodating and made the process as easy as could be! Eleanor and Rich both were wonderful to work with and I highly recommend going here if you can!

I have to say this liquor store's selection is good. That said I was a bit taken aback when I bought a bottle of wine from one of my favorite BC wineries. The price of the wine seemed incredibly high. I check when I got home and the liquor store is marking the wine almost 50% if what I can order it from the winery with free delivery....it was not chilled and it is not a hard wine to find. Disappointed enough in the price gauging by village liquor that I will not be buying from there again and will also be advising people to look elsewhere to more honest businesses.
