We should have had lunch here. The food looked amazing. I was interested to taste their wines because not many commented on them. The Gewertz was a typical German Gewertz. A bit sweeter than I like though. The reds were all very light. Although we like reds more, we bought a Gewertz to give a friend. They were so nice I had to buy something.

My family and I made a stop at Nighthawk Vineyards a few days ago. The location is beautiful, and the wines were pretty good. The Gewur was particularly good. What truly touched me is the care of the staff. My 22 year old brother is on the spectrum, was accompanying us for the trip, but doesn't drink, and, without any request, the host brought us some sparkling apple juice for my little brother to be able to "join us" in tasting. It's not much, but it created a memory that my family will share for a long time to come. Really happy we made the detour to visit.

The operators are what makes this lil gem so great!!! Their passion for their grapes, the excitement they have for their guests and the quaint setting with private lake is just...... you won't want to leave. They need to open up some lodging perhaps!! Their hospitality is a notch above and is what will continue to make your experience with them, one you will speak about to your friends at home for a long time

This is a smaller vineyard, compared to some, but was more intimate. This is both good and bad, as you got a great experience with the people, but there was not great social distancing. We came away with a few bottles of excellent wine.

Had a great time at Nighthawk Vineyards at their tasting room. Particularly loved the Gewurztraminer. They have a patio overlooking their vineyard, great place to enjoy a sip of wine or just to take pictures.

A wonderful winery with a great selection of wines. I usually come for the reds. We'll come with an appetite next time we visit. I'd recommend visiting early in the season so you get to sample their full selection.

A gem in the Okanagan Valley! Pictureque setting, friendly staff and owners! The food was outstanding - recommend the sandwiches - ham hock and brisket. Carson (chef) provided the finishing touch - dessert with Gurz custard, blackberries and choc ganche! We will be dining here on a regular basis! Up next, the wood fired pizza!

I really appreciate this winery and it’s friendly owners. Most likely one of the owners or their family members will be serving you your wine tasting as it is a family run operation. They donate to charity for their wine tasting fee which is absolutely incredible. The wines are fabulous. I would highly recommend stopping by here for some great wine!

Breathtaking setting. The owner was very kind and welcoming, his pride of his vineyard was very evident as he greeted us right as we came out of our vehicle. The man that did our tastings was also extremely knowledge and very welcoming. The wine itself was amazing and reasonably priced. Definitely worth the gorgeous drive up. The donation only tasting fee is a nice touch ! We enjoyed our visit at Nighthawk and can't wait to return ! Great boutique winery !

UPDATE 2021 including new restaurant: When you head up the windy road to Nighthawk, you know you're heading straight into the heart of Okanagan wine country. The whole drive is beautiful no matter where you are coming from in the valley. We started with a tasting overlooking their spectacular vineyard view. My personal favourite is their Chardonnay. It has just the right amount of French Oak with nutty butterscotch flavors. Mmmmm. My husband chose their Pinot Noir for lunch which paired perfectly with our meal, especially the chicken and red pepper fiery sauce pizza. The wine bottles also reflect the beauty of the winery, with artwork of the local nighthawks and vineyard by Alex Fong. It was our first visit to their Vineyard Kitchen & Patio Restaurant. They are serving vineyard inspired dishes made with fresh local ingredients. Nighthawk has a wood fired pizza oven from Portugal that burns cherry wood from a nearby orchard. I highly recommend ordering anything with that fiery red pepper sauce, but everything looks great and we will have to return a few more times to work our way through the menu. This is a must visit Okanagan winery and restaurant especially if you want to see a family run and owned vineyard. It's one of those very special and beautiful places that you will not forget. 2015: A fun afternoon yesterday at Nighthawk Vineyards with hosts Christy Bibby and Daniel Bibby. A must do winery visit in Okanagan Falls to taste their award-winning wines with beautiful Alex Fong labels.

Nighthawk Vineyards Having visited over 100 wineries in the Okanagan region over the course of a year, I hope my opinion carries some weight by saying Nighthawk Vineyards has the best view in the entire Okanagan. There’s a valley with a lake sitting at the base. Vineyards crawling up to the winery. A solemn log house fringing freshly cut grassy hills—look, I got photos, just check those out. It’s a narrow margin, I will admit. I mean, when you consider Bench 1775 or Arrowleaf, second place is not that far behind. But at the end, I must admit that Nighthawk takes the top prize. We would have remained longer if we hadn’t enjoyed a picnic at See Ya Later Ranch the hour previously or if it hadn’t been hotter than the surface of Venus that day. Yes, I am exaggerating; it was like 32 degrees, but I am from Northern Canada, so there. Nighthawk is further out than See Ya Later, so a further diversion down a road you probably were unsure about being on. You certainly cannot drive past it. It’s a destination. My group and I had figured since we were out this way, we might as well hit up another one. And you should to—this place is incredible. Admittedly, there is bias—we were the only ones there that time, so we had the grounds to ourselves as well as the host’s undivided attention. The wine was good as well, obviously a requirement. While my friends bought wine, I scored a 2016 Late Harvest “Gew”. Yes, “gew”. A host referred to a Gewurztraminer as a “gew” and I’ve been doing that ever since. Yes, it annoys people, and I don’t care, like whenever I laugh my head off each time I refer to a Crate & Barrel as “Craate and Baarrel” (long story). If you ever need help pronouncing it, just remember “girls are meaner.” Nighthawk is a great place and if you are coming out here for See Ya Later Ranch, another must-see location, making it two, justifying the diversion even more.

Nighthawk Vineyards is AMAZING and the scenery was beautiful. I hosted a bridal shower luncheon there for about 15 people and it was a dream! Daniel and Christy made the whole experience effortless. The setup was gorgeous and the food was amazing. We ordered all three appetizers, the family roots salad, the Mediterranean, phoenix and orchard pear and brie pizzas. We also had the merlot, gewürztraminer, and chardonnay. Everything was perfect and delicious. I cannot speak highly enough of the service, kindness and quality of this winery. Please visit if you have a chance, and I will definitely be returning!

My girlfriend and I visited this place on a little weekend getaway and absolutely loved the experience. In fact, the charcuterie board was so good that we had to come back a second time on our last vacation day on the way back to Vancouver, even though it was 20 minutes out of the way! The food was delicious and we even bought some wine to take home, our favourite is the "2017 Gewürztraminer". Whenever we're in the Okanagan again we'll definitely be coming back.

Totally a very good visit. A family run business that has all hands on deck. The presentation in all categories was top notch. Wine tasting with great knowledge.
