Nice and cozy location. The wine was enjoyable.
Wonderful wines, especially the zinfandels! Beautiful view of back porch for tasting. Chris was an outstanding tasting server!
We showed up right at 5:00, and they were gracious enough to hang around and provide us with a full, unhurried tasting. We loved the wines and the enthusiasm of the staff. Long story short, we ended up joining their wine club and in turn received free shipping on the wines we bought. Very nice experience.
Ryan at the tasting bar was phenomenal!!! Carl's Reserve Zin was kickass????
Sawyer is a delightful host. Our party of 10 had a great time.

Ambiance extraordinary! Wine superb! View gorgeous!!
A warm and friendly experience at a real down to earth family operation. We enjoyed the wines immensely
Great wines to taste on a wonderful patio overlooking vineyards! They mostly have zinfandel wine, but have petite sirah, white and other varietals. Staff is very friendly. Overall a great place to visit when in the Dry Creek area!
Visited Wilson Winery back in June solely because my wife's maiden name is Wilson and they have a son with the same first name as her. Looking like we're a couple of 20-somethings despite being in our mid to late thirties, early on the experience was a little impersonal but as we shared our story and why we were there, the staff really opened up and we had some great conversations. The Wilson's son who shares my wife's first name also happened to be in and we got a great picture of two Sawyer Wilsons holding a bottle of Sawyer Zinfandel! We got to try a couple of the Reserve selections and ended up joining the wine club and ordering a mixed case on the spot. I will say it's very obvious the staff is comped on getting people to join the wine club, so we found the approach a touch pushy and some of our favorite places to visit have staff that are elated to start a conversation with patrons rather than needing to be warmed up, but overall we really enjoyed our visit and LOVE the wines!
"THE" go-to winery in Dry Creek. Great wines, friendly people, great view of the grounds. The original and best.
Beautiful place to enjoy some wine. Okay wine but didn’t care for the service or tiny pours.
A beutiful winery and good taste wines.
Awesome experience... Friendly staff... Great wine choices... A memorable day ????????
The wines were some of the best ever. Absolutely. Service was delightful. We joined their wine club and highly recommend them.
Simply the best Zinfandel in Dry Creek Valley. Carl's Vineyard. Period.
Great stop if you like big, full reds. Larger than life zins and cabs. Nice shaded deck, friendly staff, and dog friendly. One of our favs.
Easy going Winery with no sales pressure. You can also see the Giant metal coyote ????
Love their wine and the people are so friendly and knowledgeable, especially Rick! ????????????????
Wilson Winery...what can one say? Some wineries in Napa/Sonoma are fancy, opulent, showy. Wilson is nicely done in a beautiful setting, but not at all fancy or showy. What they do have going on is EXCELLENT WINE...I mean really top notch. Wilson Wines are BIG...moderate to heavy body, very complex flavors, generally not very dry or tannic. If you're looking for a light pinot noir or a tannic-dry cab, maybe not the place. If you're looking for succulent complexity in an astounding range of taste palettes, be sure to check it out . Prices range from say $30 to $60 per bottle, with special reserves up to $150. But one can pay as much or well more in this area and you will likely get less. Wilson wines are just really good. There's wine...then there's Wilson.
Great winery featuring excellent Zins. Staff is always friendly and I never regret at visit here.
This winery was a nice stop for wine tasting and veiwing of the vinyards !
Staff is really nice, the wine is really good, and the views are totally worth it. It’s possible that they might waive price of tasting if you buy a bottle of wine. If they do that, it’s totally worth it.
Fantastic outdoor tasting area. Beautiful surroundings. Large wine portfolio.
Has been one of my favorite places in Dry Creek Valley For more than 15 years. The fact that they are dog friendly is using on a DELICIOUS wine cake. It is the only winery I have membership to.
Great experience and rich Zinfandel wines in a lovely patio overlooking the vineyards. Staff is super friendly and they are dog friendly too. In fact their dog treats seem to be great according to our little shih tzu dog.
Great wines as usual. I've been a club member continuously for over 10 years and highly recommend this winery!
Our favorite stop. Great view, good people, amazing wine.
Our tasting started so strong. We had lunch at Healdsburg Bar and Grill and ordered a bottle of Summertime White, which was delicious. Our tasting started with Jane who was fantastic but that's where the experience took a turn south. The wine was good overall. But they got busy and we were shuffled to the back burner, being completely ignored. Hard to tell the reason why, was it because they were busy? My butterfly shirt? Two men? Black woman? Who knows, but we probably won't be back.
Nice view and a good selection of wines. Pours were very light for the tasting and we didn't get much explanation about what we were drinking. If you're looking for thorough explanations of the wine, this probably isn't the place for you. If you just want to go have wine and relax, this place checks the boxes. Nice bathroom and plenty of water available to stay hydrated while you drink.
Our favorite winery in Dry Creek and maybe all of Sonoma. Crazy great Zins as well as all our favourite varietals..A must visit on Sonoma Wine Country. Also their wi e club is one of the best deals with a lot of options and events for members and guests.
Wonderful tasting, the wine was very good and the staff was excellent. Bought a few cases to bring home.
Our tasting attendant was unpleasant, the wines were not delicious, and the only toilet was a portable. I'd have been more tolerant of the latter had the other things not been an issue. Will not be going back.
Good wine and good times. I have a handful of reds, but can't remember exactly which ones. We love the events, passport, bbq competition etc. Beautiful deck with incredible views. If your wine tasting on Dry Creek, don't miss Wilson.
Great team made our group feel very welcome. Many thanks to Ryan for showing us a great time!!!
Beautiful setting with nice wines and knowledgeable staff.
Fabulous Zinfandels! Relaxed atmosphere with beautiful views. All the staff are super friendly and professional. Best wines in the whole Bay Area!!
Wilson Winery is a very comfortable, relaxed, and scenic atmosphere to enjoy a wine tasting. They have a great selection of wines, especially if you are a Zinfandel fan. They also have several good wine club options, if you are able to take to at least two wine shipments per year. The wine clubs also include complimentary wine tastings and discounts on their wines.
Just joined another Wilson family wine club! Been here before and enjoyed the panoramic view. A few years ago I thought the Zins where better than OK but not wine club worthy. I am now even a bigger big fan. Friendly staff, great patio overlooking the valley and now fantastic Zins. Highly recommend
Delightful scenery and fantastic wines, great zins and a wonderful Sirah. Sydney Zin has Good mix of dark fruit and bright consistency with a slight taniney finish
Solid Chardonnay, picturesque location, perfect for an outdoor wedding!
Fantastic spot in Dry Creek Valley. Outside looks funky. But it has an amazing back patio with AMAZING vineyard views. Great wines, mostly zins. Excellent spot to bring your own picnic/nibbles. Highly recommend.
Really disappointed! We have been to most of the Wilson family wineries and all have been so friendly and accommodating! We stopped in at Wilson at 2:30 on 2/8/22 and were told they couldn’t accommodate us. (We didn’t have a reservation) From what we could view there was only one party there. Seems really crazy that they couldn’t accommodate a Wilson member when clearly things were so slow! Moved on to Matrix and they were super accommodating! Boo to Wilson!
The atmosphere of this winery is unmatched. The patio is so laid-back with music playing and beautiful views of vineyards. They're also dog friendly! It was clear the staff was very busy when we went, but they were so kind and knowledgeable we didn't even mind. Highly recommend adding this winery to your list!
Very nice place, almost an european taste. Service very kind and effective.
Horrible experience! Am a member at their affiliates winery. Called about wine club discount reservations accomadations they offer for wine club members. In the past year very friendly woman helped me thru the process. However this gentleman Matthew was very rude and un helpful. Wow! The affiliated wine club I am a member are outstanding with their customer service. Too bad this is a reflection of the wine club. bad impression. I will be sure to tell others not to bother and report my experience to my wine club.
Wilson primarily serves zinfandel. Bring some snacks, sit outside on the deck and enjoy a picnic with your tasting.
If you love bold fruity wines then go here
this was our last stop for the day. Beautiful view of the vineyards, along with a bunch of games to keep everyone entertained. The service was good and the staff was knowledgeable. To wave the tasting fee, two bottles need to be bought, most places will wave it for one. Very good on their Zins!
Beautiful grounds! Patio is dog friendly with lots of shade. Excellent well educated/knowledgable, friendly staff esp Jane! Sip a delicious zin in a relaxed patio setting with beautiful views and the extra plus is the wines are relatively affordable!
Wilson's Zinfanfel is the best
Great, smooth, soft zinfandels. Friendly staff. Nice picnic area with a view over Dry Creek Valley. Fun sculpture of a dog/wolf in the front yard. Home winery of the Wilson family.
Pretty grounds and nice people. Good wine, too.
We had time for so few wineries during our visit to Sonoma County. Fortunately, we chose to stop @ Wilson's Winery. We were not searching for Zinfandel but the zinfandel blend of their four vineyards impressed. We purchased a bottle and brought it back to the East Coast. We chose this bottle to share with friends and received overwhelming positive reaction. Given the opportunity, pack you a picnic and do a tasting at Wilson's. Their deck is shaded or sunny, your preference, and it overlooks their vineyard. Don't forget to check out the large sculpture on one side.
My wife and I were in the Sonoma area for wine tasting. We were choosing Sonoma for two reasons: the VISA signature program as mentioned in the previous review, and the fact that it wasn't Napa where attitudes and culture surrounding wine have become fairly pretentious. We stopped in on July 5th. When we walked in there was a taller, heavy-set woman with dark hair behind the tasting counter. We informed them we found them through the VISA signature program. She immediately turned cold, nasty and proclaimed that they did not honor the VISA program and that she had a letter to prove it. She told us there would be a fee for tasting, when I said I was not interested in paying it then she asked us to leave! Unbelievable! On my way out I informed her that money was not an issue, that the reason I went to wineries in the VISA program was because that vinters who had confidence in their grapes would not charge for tasting, which has become common in many cash-cow wine enterprises. I also informed her I would be contacting VISA since they were still getting free advertising from it. When we drove down the road we found another winery named "Mazzacco" which was great and they did participate in the VISA program. Come to find out, they are owned by the Wilson winery! On arriving home I phoned the winery to see if I could speak with the management. I got through to a woman who told me she was their wholesaler. I explained the situation to her and she tried to tell me they no longer participated in the VISA program because their wines were too high in demand to be used for complimentary tasting. I guess she doesn't understand that if the wines are that great then people will buy them! As a rule I have never bought I wine I didn't taste first, and I NEVER pay for tastings. Charging for tastings is tacky and what you do to tourists, not serious wine connoisseurs. When I asked her about why the Mazzacco winery which is owned by them honors VISA and they didn't, she gave me a lame excuse about each winery being run independently even if they are owned by the same person. I do not accept this explanation. The "wholesaler" told me that the tasting room manager named "Dee" was away and that I should email her. I will update this review if I get any new information. I still recommend the VISA program. On our trip we visited over 40 wineries in the Sonoma area and only found 1 that was non-compliant, 1 we had benefit issues with and another that did not properly list their hours and benefits. Overall it was still worth it, just avoid this place. UPDATE: I finally got a hold of Dee. She said she knew exactly who the rude woman was that I dealt with but would not tell me her name. When I explained that I had already contacted VISA and that VISA was not happy with my experience or finding out that Wilson owned separate wineries in the VISA program, she seemed nonplussed. She said she was sorry for my experience but no attempt to remedy the situation beyond an empty verbal apology.
