I went here on a wine tasting trip with some alumni from my college. The whole experience was sub par. After seeing the gilded "Tump" sign in the front, I was expecting some wine to match that quality. It was even worse. In my opinion, the scenery doesn't make up for the terrible business practices. It felt like I was at the DMV with the waiter only doing things his way and not listening to outside suggestions. After being warned about earlier reviews, we asked that the waiter pour us a decent serving, but alas, it was even lower than the people next to us. I guess that's what happens when you try to voice your opinion. Not a worthwhile time.

I wasn't too keen on driving to Trump Vineyards on its own because I normally don't like sparkling wines, but ended up stopping by because I was in the area. I was surprised by the quality of the red wines, but not very impressed by the others. Then again, I'm not a fan of sparkling wines to begin with. The reds were great, albeit a bit expensive.

My boyfriend and I did a day trip to the Trump Winery on 03/05/2020. Finally. I had been wanting to go for quite sometime. The drive in is nothing less than gorgeous; beautiful stone walls, back roads and rolling fields!! We had a wonderful time together. We did the tasting for the sparkling wine menu ($20, comes with a Reidel flute). They also have another tasting for $12. On the third glass during our tasting we decided to get some snacks. We ended up ordering the bread and the Mesa Board - SO GOOD. The hummus and everything on that board was scrumptious. Check out the pictures. Wow. The sparkling wines were delicious. We ended up leaving with two large bottles of the Blanc de Blace, a small one for a gift and a large bottle of the Sparkling Rose, too. 10/10 service - I wish I remembered her name, tall brunette; she was lovely 10/10 snacks 10/10 sparkling We do recommend and we will be back with friends.

Gorgeous. Went for lunch and wine tasting. Staff was very friendly, professional. Answered all our questions. Food was great. We recommend you try the Sparkling Rose and for bourbon lovers the CRU. We purchased a bottle to take home. ☺️ Outdoor area was set up for social distancing and masks are offered if you prefer one. Paths of Direction clearly marked. We highly recommend this winery for a wonderful time. And gift shop has some unique gifts. Will return again.

While personally not a fan of the President's policies, I am going to give an unbiased review. The tasting room was beautiful and is actually located across the street from the winery. I ordered the standard flight ($12) that gives you 4 wines and the glass. Everything was good but my favorite was the sparkling. They did offer a special sparkling flight for $20. There are some epic views from the back. Staff was very friendly. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Used to love this place until we tasted with James. James was rude as can be, we miss Cullen. James poured 5 microscopic tastings for $12 per person. Couldn't even taste the wine. 1/3 of an ounce. He was visibly upset we asked to try one that wasn't on the sheet that he gave to people beside us. He also denied our friends the industry discount, saying it didn't exist like it has for years. So much for bringing our friends there again.

Try the Cru wine for a cold winter day. Little bit disappointed that we were not welcomed as we entered. We were the sole couple entering, we greeted, but the 3 girls were too interested in their own conversation to notice us. Also, disappointing that the staff is unaware of our South African wines from Rupert Wineries. At least, Rupert is the "Trump" of South Africa and exports to the States. Just expected more.. Still a wonderful place. We enjoyed the atmosphere tremendously

The trump vineyard is has some of the best views of all the vineyards visited thusfar. The wine selection is good, but I admit, not as robust as some of the other local vineyards. The food is excellent on the other hand. Highly recommend the rosemary ham sandwich.

Yesterday was my last trip to the winery for several reasons and will cancel my membership. 1. Wine tasting is $$$ 2. They no longer have complimentry wine tasting for wine club members but, they do offer a 25% discount on tastings. 3. They no longer offer wine club pick up, they will mail your selections to you for an added $$$. 4. Tasting room hours are 10 am - 4 pm. They told us, it was the industry norm. 10 am REALLY!! I guess it's 5 o'clock somewhere. Most of the wineries have tasting hours 11 - 5/530.

Best Vineyard in Central Virginia. Especially love the Cru, fortified wine! Don't believe the fake reviews here from people that have never been to the winery. The wine are the same as the previous owner but the prices have been reduced by 30%. If Kluge's wines were great at $35 a bottle they must be better at $25. Also the views and the food here are the best out of every vineyard in the area with only Pippin Hill being in the same league.

Came to enjoy some wine and the view for my wife's 40th. Turned away at the door for "at capacity." There was clearly plenty of room outside. And plenty of parking. We stated that we weren't there for a tasting and that we just wanted to buy a couple bottles of wine. I'm just writing this in the hope that the management reads this and can match the date with "guy" manning the door today. Please feel free to contact me. Unacceptable. No one needs this kind of drama after driving 45 minutes from Wintergreen. Oh by the way, Blenheim was fun!

The worst tasting experience we have ever had. The winery was busy at first but by the time we made it to the counter to taste the wines, everyone had cleared out. It took forever in between each wine and we had multiple people to explain each one. We almost got to the point where we were going to walk out. There was no reason for such poor service. We thought with such a well known name we would have had an exceptional wine tasting. We will not go back nor recommend. Blenheim winery was much better!

The Trump winery is a must visit when visiting Monticello. For the price of the tasting you get the glass and they really give you a tasting with some glasses being half filled. It was a very good thing I was the designated driver. I bought several bottles to try at home. It is a fairly large tasting room and the scenery was beautiful.

President Trump's Son Eric and his staff have done a great job with this winery ! Beautiful setting AND, the wine is very good, believe their wine does very well in wine competitions. Have not tried the food but I know people go there just to eat ... I go there to drink and my wife ends up buying "several" bottles to take home ... my $12 wine tasting turns into a $100 plus adventure ... That's ok, the Trumps make GOOD wine !

Visited the first week of August 2017. The region is beautiful and worth the time to explore. However, the Trump Winery is an experience that should be passed on. Diligently and enthusiastically we tried to find a wine to buy that didn't taste bitter or upset our stomachs, sadly, we walked away without a single bottle. It was that bad. Our group also tried eating, but after receiving the food, each of us smiled at each other, paid the overpriced bill and went down the road for a good meal. Summary: Horrible wine, the food is sub-standard and everything is over-priced and over-hyped. The location is fantastic, but the establishment left a very bad taste that lingers for a long time.

This winery has an absolutely spectacular view. We’ve eaten here several times and the food is exceptional. They have /had a Butternut squash Panini that I love. My husband loves the BLT, The bacon is superior. Trump winery grows some good grapes and I really enjoy their whites. They also have a sparkling white that’s very good. The winery is actually delightful, excellent service, views are sensational, the food is excellent and the wine is better than most of the region. When people say they don’t like it that’s usually politics speaking, sour grapes.

Trump Winery — the views were breathtaking. The back patio was spacious and backed up to a beautiful backdrop of mountain scenery and Adirondack chairs. We were there for a bachelorette and got a ton of great pictures — despite the rain. I would’ve loved to spend more time there and will definitely be back! The only downside: We weren’t allowed to have outside snacks in the tasting room.

Absolutely beautiful grounds and facilities. We opted for a wine tasting, the wines (9) were very good. It was busy, but I was hoping for a little more information on each bottle. We were at the outside bar because we had a dog with us. I think the inside tastings were a little more educational. We didn't order from the menu but the sandwiches and cheese trays looked delicious. A lot of people had brought their own picnic baskets and coolers. If you go, plan on at least a couple of hours to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

We had an awesome experience The wine was excellent And we spent almost $400 purchasing wine , membership and lunch. However the service was disappointing at the end. We were told that our case of wine would be carried to our car because I have a bad back we finished our lunch and asked to have help bringing the wine to our car. The gentleman behind the bar took it to the front step and dropped it and went back inside. Your security guard came to our rescue and carried it to the car for us. Our sales server Lisa was fantastic and Did a great job of up selling This is our second trip each time we come north we are stopping and we love the winery and your wines. This one experience just left us with a bad taste and killed the whole exciting experience for us. We came off our regular route of route Us 95 to visit the TRUMP winery and were very disappointed

Decided to try this winery after reading some good reviews and they were right! The first thing you notice is the entrance and how beautiful the grounds are. Words and the pictures don't capture the magnificent views from this location. We were told that they had opened the new tasting room 3 weeks ago. I highly recommend stopping by!!

Two hours later I had not found out anything about making a birthday special n we were leaving. I spoke to a supervisor who said she would speak to someone tomorrow about it. Thanks so much. When you think of Trump you think they place is going to be outrageous, but surprisingly it was very reasonable for a glass of wine. The view was great, also it isn't as stuffy as I thought it would be which was a pleasant surprise for us, (I thought it was going to be all snobbish, but it was just relaxed/classy) The wine selection is on the dryer side for the reds and whites you can blur the lines with a little champagny to sweeten the taste which is what I enjoyed. Overall, for the nostalgia, I would recommend.

An incredibly beautiful winery. All of the employees were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The wines were excellent and reasonably priced. The Sparkling Blanc de Blanc and CRU are unbelievable. Unlike some of the negative reviews that I suspect are more politically motivated, I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable trip. A must for anyone that appreciates admiring beautiful views and sipping wine.

I have to say that the wine and food were outstanding! To my surprise, the wine was really good! Views were incredible! Napa without the plane fair.The staff made us feel so welcome, they without a doubt exceeded our expectations. I can't wait to go back! I also have to say,kudos to Allison that is apart of the staff for making my son feel special. She noticed that he was being well behaved and brought him in the back for a can of sprite and some chocolate bars to take home! He hasn't stopped talking about it.
