You know that we do not usually bother to place reviews when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Winery belongs to the category of Winery.
Great picnic spot, weekend music, wines tasted by two winemakers (but both average). Got a lot of water in Feb 2017 so that "Dry Creek" was certainly not dry and not a creek...
Can't beat the location and the wines are pretty tasty. If you are in the Dry Creek Valley, you can't go wrong with visiting this winery.
Our first time visiting Truett Hurst was five years ago and coming again was equally great. Great place to have a picnic and relax. Their setting is beautiful and they have farm animals to love on. Zinfandel rose is great for hot days. Our first trip we used the Adirondack chairs by the creek but those are exclusively for wine club members now.
My wife and I visited Truett Hurst. The only thing better than the wines was the atmosphere. We cannot wait to go back the next time we visit San Francisco. This is a must stop if you are visiting Healdsburg.
Great
Great location, and the riverfront is a relaxing break from all of the winery hype. The wine is good, I think the GPS Zinfindel is the best.
Great venue with beautiful grounds - pet the goats and drink the wine
(Translated) We liked it there very much. Beautiful green area outside, including seating on the river. Very idyllic and the wine was delicious too. Have taken 2 bottles to Germany. (Original) Hat uns dort sehr gut gefallen. Schöne Grünanlage außen rum, inkl. Sitzgelegenheit am Fluss. Sehr idyllisch und der Wein war auch lecker. Haben 2 Flaschen mit nach Deutschland genommen.
great place
This winery has a ton of outdoor space, with some farm animals, and even a creek with salmon in it. Kid friendly.
Great won't tasting!!
Great location and great service. Very quiet on this Monday (we were the only customers). The grounds are amazing to walk around and enjoy. The wines get better every year.
So much going for this winery! Amazing wines, great staff, beautiful grounds and tastings that can include "river pours" while looking at salmon trying to swim upstream.
Joe did a fantastic job hosting us and our friends! Specifically, he focused on our needs and shipping destinations to make it work. Going above and beyond is something rare in the Sonoma and Napa regions! Made our visit spectacular! If you want to try something special, I would recommend the white and black sheep pinot, Southdown zin, and their new Syrah.
Friendly people, nice wines. Live music was really classy and enhanced the experience. Pretty outdoor area.
Beautiful grounds and great wines.
Friendly staff. Josh was good and knowledgeable.
Beautiful winery! You can walk around and see the pretty flowers, plants, and animals. The goat was definitely a favorite. Very friendly and well-informed staff make it a really nice experience. Not to mention the wine is delicious. Get the Rosé!
Fun winery for a picnic. Summer has music on the weekends. Adirondack chairs down by the creek to enjoy a glass of wine and chill especially when the Steelhead are spawning. You can catch some pretty good deals on wine by the case on occasion too. Dog friendly also. Overall fun.
Great place with awesome wines ????
This Vineyard is absolutely beautiful, with a big outdoor space where you can sit close to the clear river. They also have animals that you can approach and walk in the vines. The Zinfandel I had by the glass was not the best though
Out of the multitude of wineries in the area, this is my favorite. They always have 3-4 Zins to try (my favorite) and they have goats! So those alone would put it pretty high on my list, but they offer so much more. The owners are there a lot and they are very nice, sometimes grilling up tri tip to taste with your wine on the weekends (I KNOW RIGHT!?) They have a beautiful patio with picnic tables, and walk a little farther down to the creek and there are giant Adirondack chairs to enjoy the view! Love this place!!
Fun WInery, awesome grounds!!
Excellent wines. Extremely nice people. Beautiful location. Can't say enough.. Pinot was my favorite
One of our favorite places to come visit in the Dry Creek region. Just love to get some wine and sit by the river banks in those funky Adirondack chairs for a relaxing time with your honey. Life is GOOD.
My husband and I played tourists for the day today and had a wonderful experience on the patio with all the great guys who pored us wines. Signing up for the wine club was a no brainer after seeing the beautiful grounds. Our pup Charlie completely agreed. We look forward to coming back out next month to pick up our WC. Thank you for making our anniversary just that much sweeter. Thank you guys!
Beautiful.location, bring snacks and buy a few bottles to enjoy on the many picnic tables with a peaceful view of a garden or a river. Highly recomend.
Very awesome winery. I love the chickens goats and especially the seating by the thre river. The wine is fantastic also. Go see Josh, he is a great host.
Excellent wine, fun experience, helpful and knowledgeable staff, truly beautiful property. This is a must stop for us everytime we are in the area.
I had VISA Signature card that will give me a buy 1 get 1 free. Barguy with grayhair and Hawaii shirt was rude and told me that it is an old program and this company not accepting any more. Liar liar pants on fire. I moved to different bar and woman say to me it is BOGO. On Signature Visa website it is say that deal good till 12/31/2017.The interesting fact that last week Truett did the deal for us, but not this week. At first I wanted to get a membership but not any more. I will go for better place with better service. So please do not LIE to people.
Love this wine and the experience by the creek!
Awful customer service. Not allowed outside unless club members and security guard?!
Beautiful location on the river.
This was an amazing place to visit over Thanksgiving last year. I only now got to writing the review, but I've been buying cases of their wine ever since our visit. Great wines, fair prices, reasonable as fast shipping. It was a fun experience, and we still have our polarized fish watching glasses lol! Highly recommend this spot if you like laid back, family style wineries. If you like snobbery, Ferrari-Carano is just up the road lol!
It was great!!
The atmosphere is wonderful, serene, fun. The wine is excellent. The staff is great. We love it!
Decent wine, okay service, great grounds.
My favorite winery! We spent a week in Sonoma and visited several places. This was by far my favorite! Very friendly staff and the wine was amazing
What a great place for a wine tasting! Our person was Jeanette and she was awesome! She had a broad range of knowledge about the wines, the grounds, and the unique farming techniques. The ambiance by the river/creek was A++++. The Zinfandel was excellent as was the Grenache/Rose
Come for the wine, stay for the baby goats, become members so you can relax by the creek. Also their amazing conservation efforts alone are reason to support them and VML
nice tasting.
It was on of the best wineries I've ever visited- all great wines, friendly atmosphere, food pairing, life music, nice people and beautiful picnic area by the creek, where if you are lucky you can see the stealhead migrating up to creek! Nice view and everything you are expecting being in Sonoma!!!
Beautiful spot for a picnic (make sure to make a reservation!). There was a catering truck there serving Tritip. It smelled amazing, though we didn't try it. If course, the wine was delish, too. And the folks were super friendly without being over the top.
Great wines, beautiful property with cute animals. We loved the wine tasting with Josh - he was knowledgeable, very chill, and overall great! I love that they have Salmon restoration. We will be back!
Visited this past weekend during our getaway trip to Napa and Sonoma. This vineyard is beautiful and the wine tasting was outstanding. If you are near Healdsburg you must stop by this vineyard, take a stroll through their gardens and enjoy fantastic wine. Skip the large vineyards and head straight to Truett Hurst you will not be disappointed.
One of our favorite wineries. We stop and enjoy the Rose next to Dry Creek as often as possible and make sure it's one of our regular stops when friends visit. Friendly, accommodating, and fun. Events are great, Wine Club Pick-up parties are great. Only winery I know of with public access to Dry Creek.
Wonderful Chardonnay and the kindest most welcoming staff you will meet in the district
First time visiting Truett Hurst winery in Sonoma County and it was a great experience. Truett Hurst, a holistic vineyard and farm located in the heart of Healdsburg’s Dry Creek Valley. Truett is adjacent with the YML winery. It is an extremely pleasant experience with a friendly staff, large parking area, and friendly livestock. They currently aren’t doing tastings, because of COVID-19. Once you arrive on property, you’re greeted by a staffer in the parking lot. Wine can be purchased by the glass or bottle, which can be enjoyed on the outside patio, near the creek, or near the livestock. I truly enjoyed my experience and would highly recommend this winery.
We were there on a Saturday, and the place was busy, with lots of energy. The location is wonderful, with great picnic spots, dinner right next to the creek. It's shared with their sister winery, VML, whose wines we preferred. The rating here is mostly for the wines, which we found smooth, but slightly lacking in interest. The venue rates 5 stars. Bonus: a good guitar player provided live music.
Absolutely loved this winery due to the grounds and baby goats lol. Staff was friendly and knowledgable and their wines are tasty as well. Make sure to get there early and spend time in an Adirondack chair down by the river....so relaxing.
If you're looking for a place to escape and take it easy.... this is the place. Absolutely beautiful. Their gardens are gorgeous. Do wine tasting and take a bottle down by the river and escape..... I loved this place! Their GPS Red blend was delicious!
Grab some wine and go sit down by the creek
Best Chardonnay I’ve ever had!
A little slice of country life with wines that offer clean, fresh tastes. Worth a trip from anywhere!!!!
Truett Hurst is very friendly with excellent service. We reserved a picnic table as the by creek area was fully reserved. Their employees frequently checked with us. Kids liked to feed the sheeps and goats. The sitting area by the creek is more breesy and shady. Overall, a pleasant picnic experience.
Great wines and view at Dry Creek. Super friendly staff.
Awesome wines. Right by the creek. Great outdoor seating. Grab lunch and come eat it here with a bottle.
Went during COVID-19 with friends that are members. Very clean, delicious wine, and loved the red lounge chairs next to the creek. Oh, and don't forget the goats!
Good wines
Our friends, who are members, shared their lunch and the wonderful wines of a tasting. The server was patient and knowledgable, patient, and persistent with his offers of wine. Two of us do not winetaste so often and we thoroughly enjoyed the environment and the wines.
A really special spot nestled right on Dry Creek. I was here with 12 friends for a bachelorette party and they treated us so well! Delicious wine to boot! The rose on a hot day is perfection.
We were welcomed like old friends, which didn't happen in Napa. Thank you, Mike, for a memorable visit. I'll be back.
We found the experience very generic. No one spent any time explaining the wines or the winery's origins. The wines were ok, but nothing stood out amongst the many wineries of Dry Creek Valley. We have been to others that show the passion for the wine that this lacked.
I can’t say enough about Truett Hurst! I have visited Napa/ Sonoma over a dozen times and I go to Truett each time I’m in town. The atmosphere, the wines, the people- amazing! I am a wine club member and this winery is hands down the BEST winery I have visited to date. I order multiple cases of their wine throughout the year. Some of my favs are the Luci Zin, Red rooster Zin, GPS, and Burning Man Petit Sirah. The Cab is my absolute fav (only available to wine club members- worth joining for this!). I am treated like family and each experience is a memorable one. The wines are some of the best in the Sonoma area, truly. You MUST visit Truett Hurst when in Sonoma. Ask for Mike! He is a gem!
Visited here during trip with wife! Fell in love with the wine and the atmosphere. We still get the wine frequently through the wine club cannot wait to visit again!
The wine was amazing!!! They are open via reservation only and you buy either the bottle or a glass. My boyfriend and I brought our own Charcuterie supplies while enjoying a bottle by the river. There are various seating options available on their website and I HIGHLY recommend the red chairs by the river. This picture includes the bottle we had as well, I also bought it!!
Generous servings of full-bodied reds, poured by two of the most jovial gentleman tasting room associates we have ever come across on Wine Road. Four outdoor bonus features include: enough spacious and cushioned patio sets to accommodate multiple groups of lucheoneers, a densely planted walk-through flower garden, reclined seating down the path at creekside with a view of spawning salmon during breeding season, and a sprawling neighboring property playfully dotted with roaming livestock.
Nice people, good wine.
Stopped in a few years ago when exploring the area and loved sipping a glass of wine by the water.
Very clean and open place. The views of the area are beautiful and the creekside atmosphere is something to see.
I've visited here twice now and both times were great. The first time was during the week and we were the only ones there and got to walk around the gardens with the whole place to ourselves. The second time we came on a weekend and it was packed and there was live music. Both times the service was great, and we left with a bunch of great wine. The Red Rooster Zinfandel is my favorite of their wine and its quite reasonably priced.
Just a wonderful setting!!! Love the way they are trying to bring back the natural habitat!!! My clients had a few issues with regards to Lost reservations.... that would be the only drawback but they had a wonderful time overall....
Great wines, great compound! Loved the red Adirondack chairs down by the stream!
We encountered an incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable host, who served delicious wine, amidst wonderful surroundings. A must on your Dry Creek wine tour.
Truett Hurst is excellent for a leisurely tasting experience, especially on weekdays. They have some great red wines (the whites might be pretty good too, but I usually stick exclusively to the reds). You can take your glass down to the creek and sit in one of the nice red Adirondack chairs and just relax or you can stroll around the grounds and visit with the resident farm animals. Besides the Adirondack chairs by the creek, there are others in the garden area and tables near the tasting room where you can picnic. Keep your fingers crossed that Anthony will be your server--he's great! Oh yeah, they open at 10:00 am, which is earlier than most tasting rooms.
Always a good time here
This winery not only had exceptional wines and a lovely tasting, but the view from the terrace was beautiful and a lovely walk around the grounds included not only chickens and goats, but a beautiful seat by the creek prefect for the couple of picnickers with small children. A great conservation ethic rounds out the wonderful experience.
Jeanette was the best host we have had during our tastings in the valley! Thank you :)
