We have the reviews of real people who purchased the services of San Sebastian Winery (Winery) in the area close to Wabana (Canada).
Nowadays the business receives a rating of 4.6 stars out of 5 and this score has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings is practically the highest, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the rating is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to give their review when they are pleased with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set tatings when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Winery is classified in the category of Wine store.
The wines are so lovely. The tour is great and the staff are friendly.
Very helpful and knowledgeable about their wines. Great place to visit.
Great group of folks. Mulled wine, was a great treat on a cool night
Tasting tour is free and you learn some about each wine
Very nice and friendly people! Highly recommend visiting their winery.
The rooftop view is excellent. The wine is enjoyable. The food is the topper of goodness. A day of happiness.
Great free experience for a wine tasting. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The wine is quite delicious, and the prices are more than reasonable. I'd recommend leaving the children someplace else though. Over all quite a nice time.
We came on the weekend and it was not a tour ... just a sort of wine tasting. You jump from a station to another one to get your sample of booze (in a small plastic cup) with no information, no explanation and, no smile! Only one a the employee seemed to care a little and gave us few clues about the "tour". If you just want some booze go for it, otherwise it's a complete waste of time. We have spent 3 days in St Augustine and dit a lot of the local attractions, everything was good and some fantastic. This was the worst.
We love Port wine and can't wait to try theirs. Made in bourbon barrels from St. Augustine Distillery!
Good wine try the port you going to love it ????
Nice but very quick!! Each Guid spoke fast so it was hard to catch the information on each wine, But still a decent experience.
The tour was fun. Lots of tastes. Not as plentiful a pour as some wineries and distilleries but still quite good. The pourers were quite amiable and fun. Rooftop restaurant bar/dining was GREAT! Kelly, our server, was stellar. She was pleasant, fun, accommodating and helpful. Live music was excellent. Lovely sunny 77 degree afternoon ????????
Very friendly. The wine was great. Purchased a few bottles. The wine tasting was fun.
Most of their wines are a little sweet for me but the atmosphere and beer selection at the rooftop bar are great. They always have great local bands up there as well.
When we first arrived it was a long line and nothing was explained very well. There was 4 of us and the lady at the door gave us a paper listing several wines and a small plastic cup. The people giving the samples were not personable or knowledgeable. They just said this is _____ and poured it. The stations were in weird locations and we always felt in the way of people shopping or looking at products. It was very rushed and we felt pushed through the entire tasting because the groups were just being shoved through.
Went for the tour end up staying for lunch had a wonderful time also they are pet friendly Pouncey had a wonderful time meeting everyone and we will definitely be back
You get to try 8 different wines for free, plus more for a small fee. I recommend trying everything, they're all so good. Worth it to make a stop there while in St. Augustine.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices are great. Wine was delicious.
Took a day trip to St. Augustine. Always love to visit this city. Saw this winery we decided to stop. My My so happy I did..atmosphere was spectacular, the burger was so juicy and delicious. I would recommend this place a thousand times.
It's been a lovely afternoon tasting some exceptional wine and enjoying lunch on the rooftop. The free wine testing was quite enjoyable. They had several wines that we did enjoy a couple not so much. And the $10 wine tasting of course they give you some very good wines plus a couple of nice winery glasses to go along with a Ghirardelli chocolate chunk yummy. Then off to the rooftop for lunch. I ordered the Ruben sandwich that came with kettle chips, and had a glass of wine. There was a gentleman there playing acoustic guitar who was quite good. A nice breeze and it was the perfect afternoon. The history of the winery is also there for the viewing. We spent about 3 hours here and enjoyed every moment. As well as Larry the dog. If you found this review helpful but like below.
We always enjoy the winery. Stop here every year!
Wonderfull place, nice atmosphera to drink some wine and listen/dance good music. The place to dance was a bit little. The food it wasn't so good.
Great variety of wines. We love the vintner white and red with a delicious cheese platter. The roof top music and wine is to die for.
Place is always rocking with visitors. Someone always around to help you. Do some tasting. Wines I purchased are the best. I must try the reserve one. Hot sauces and little nick neck are there to buy. Go on the tour it is very educational for novice wine drinkers.
I love this place! Free wine tasting (the extra special Porto is extra $5 but worth is) of some really good Florida wine. Lunch at the Cellar Upstairs is really nice. Open with live music Thurs- Sunday. Lunch Menu is pretty limited but the Wedge Salad and Burger are exceptional. Winter is Mulled Wine season which really warms you up! If it’s a pretty sunny day, nice views of some inland water ways. Also got the French Baguette and Beer Cheese - a little salty today but still good. Ask for Zoey - she is the best server/bartender EVER!!
Went there with my whole family and we all loved the wine! Most of the staff we encountered were really nice and knowledgeable but maybe there were a couple of them who looked like they didn't like our presence there.
Fun to your and great prices on quality wine!
Great wine tasting, many great wines to sample. I highly recommend the paid tasting, very much worth it!
Free wine tasting, roof top bar, good times!
Compared to other tours of the area its boring. But hey, it's free! The tour consists of a 10 minute video on wine making and then a brief walkthrough without demonstrations or explanation of the processes because it was told in the video.
Great time tasting variety of wines along w what grapes used for certain flavors and comparison of types.
We did the free tasting, which was awesome, then went to the rooftop to enjoy a few glasses. The wines are really good, would recommend the pinot grigio & the dessert sherry. The rooftop was such a cool space serving good food, great drinks & live music.
Very nice experience. Wine is lovely and employees are friendly and the wine is scrumptious!
This is one of the coolest places in St Augustine. This place has an excellent tour and a rooftop that is the Talk of the Town in terms of venues to hang out at. Live bands. The drinks are reasonably priced. And the women that come here are gorgeous.
We had a wonderful experience at San Sebastian Winery. The staff is knowledgeable and very hospitable. The Winery also has a nice retail space with a lot of Florida made food stuff. The wine was so good that we bought 2 cases of wine for an event in Sarasota. A must do for wine enthusiasts in St. Augustine.
Okay been to a few wineries. This one is by far awesome! The tasting offers many wines. There is a free option and paid. The free option provides you with I think 5 tries. It was so good we stayed for a snack and a few glasses of wine. They have a beautiful view from the rooftop bar and live music!
We enjoyed a delicious lunch that was made even better by live music and some faux snow that came out of a snow machine on the roof!
Everytime that we visit Saint Agustine, we go to San Sebastian Winery to bring home a few bottles of Wine. Love it!!!
Amazing wine and staff. Love trying delicious wines
Very nice. Roof restaurant..and bar wonderful view..
Love this place, I live in St. Augustine and my girlfriend and I come to the winery all the time. It is true that the winery tour consists of a movie, a short tour and wine sampling. There are designated times for the tours. The employees are warm and inviting. Our favorite is the rooftop where they have live music, restaurant and bar. I strongly recommend this place. Enjoy...
Very satisfied, fast , efficient service. Good appetiser selection. Great two man band. ! We will be back.
Free wine tasting! Cool souvenir glasses. Really nice gift shop. Excellent rooftop bar & restaurant. Friendly service. Loved everything about it!
A must visit friendly tour with plenty of sampling on multi levels! The wine is excellent and tour is worth it!! Then there's the gift shop that I found to be exceptionally fair in pricing with lots to choose from! Lots of things associated with wine!! The Vitners red tasted so good I had to get one for home as well as a Vitners white!!! Gotta get the pair! Loved the Porter as well! Will be back in the very near future!
Free wine tasting in a cool building, friendly staff. Decent wines for the price!
Absolutely a place to visit! Great people really good wine! Put this on your bucket list today!
Free wine tasting - you get I think about 6 different wines. Staff was all really friendly, even when they were very busy. The wine is delicious and very reasonably priced. The upstairs lounge and outdoor rooftop bar are nice. I didn't try any of the food, but there were a lot of people eating, so I imagine it is great!
What an awesome experience to visit a local winery and see the professionalism and knowledge of wine. Abby and Gerald really enhanced the experience and were very engaged and made us laugh... Shipped home several bottles.. Thank you for a great time..
Roof top dining. We just had the hummus and fresh seasonal veggie appetizer and wine and beer. Everything was great and service was good. $$$
The tour was ok, the tour guide was a little irritating, she kept asking “does anyone know what this or that is” instead of just informing us which I personally found kind of annoying. It’s pretty short and you watch a ten minute video. The wines are so good! I actually ended up leaving a little buzzed. Haha.
By far the most historical winery I’ve ever been to. Decent selection but I’ve been to way better of course that’s including California Kentucky North Carolina South Carolina and Georgia. I wound up buying some of the port in decanter along with the San Sebastian red in the lighthouse decanter bottle.
Very nice place short tour but nice
I absolutely love their port wine! My all time favorite!
Loved it! Tour was nice, everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Wine was delicious and lunch was great. Must visit if you are at St Sebastian.
Absolutely love San Sebastian Winery, I have been buying their wine for years. I especially like the Vintners Red by itself or in Sangria.
Totally the worst experience ever. Staff was horrible and felt rushed through like cattle. Never had an explanation on what we were trying. I will never go back!!! I had a better time at St.Augustine Distillery down the street.
Great wines. Neat little experience. Would have loved to sit at the beautiful tasting bar that they had. The staff was excellent and very helpful and informative!
This is a must stop in St Augustine. Great selection of wines - free tours
The wife and I had a blast here at the rooftop bar! The band was amazing, the craft beer selection was good, and the scene was very lively and energetic! They do serve food, but we did not partake.
If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. I was soo looking forward to my vacation and bachelorette at St. Augustine. I overall loved St. Augustine, and then I came to this awful and despicable establishment. We came this past Saturday, had a great time, paid our bill, and the musician TJ Brown who was pretending to play his guitar, over a prerecorded acoustic karaoke song, proceeded to make a racist Chinese joke. We nicely walked up to the artist, and told him we were offended. A simple apology would have sufficed, however his ego and self esteem or lack of, was hurt a bunch of women actually stood up to him, therefore got defensive. He proceeded to rouse the crowd, and we come to learn there even more racists in the crowd, therefore escalating the situation. We were trying to get on the elevator to leave, but got dirty looks, that basically said we were not allowed to ride in the elevator with them, as we tried to leave. Protect yourself, your families and friends, and steer clear of this winery. BEWARE OF RACISM, MISOGYNY, AND BIGOTRY AT SAN SEBASTIAN WINERY, IT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM AS STATED BY OTHER YELPERS.
Nice free tour great wines.
Best winery that I have been to in the southeastern US. Had short but informative tours with multiple tours ongoing at once and with a free wine tasting with 8-9 wines at the end. Gift shop was full of fun items.
This is certainly one of my more favorite wineries to visit. The set up is nice and you get the samples as you take the tour from the time I've been. The port was a favorite but it sure is sweet. It has been awhile though so I don't really remember the other wines though I remember many were sweet which I liked but none stood out in particular. BEWARE, this place GETS BUSY ON WEEKENDS.
When you call, there is no way to get ahold of someone. I left a message about my online order, no call back. When I call it’s always going to voicemail to admin or the upstairs restaurant.
So cool! Nice variety.
I will start off by saying the winery itself may be great. My review is in reference to the type of experience you would want to have with a venue, and mine was terrible. While I understand the winery is open to the public and does not take reservations, I had planned on posting on our wedding website that guests who are coming from out of town to attend our wedding could swing by the winery and have a glass of wine with us the night before. The reality is, it probably would have only been members of our wedding party popping in and out to try the local spot. I sent in an email to make sure there weren't any specific, popular events going on that night or if it would be just another one of their jazz nights at the winery. I received a reply and was requested to contact Gale Moore to discuss my request. When I called Gale she repeatedly told me the winery was open to the public and they do not take reservations for events (all things I already understood - we didn't want a reservation, we wanted people to be able to come and go as they please). She asked me several times how many people I would expect (even though anyone planning a wedding knows that if you spread something through word of mouth or throw it up on your wedding website there's no possible way of knowing that information). She continuously repeated that the venue is not staffed to host full blown wedding parties/guests (even though I kept explaining to her it would most likely end up being folks from our wedding party dropping in at different times to say hello). The worst statement she made to me was "if you show up with any sizeable group of people all at once we'll turn you away". I want to point out that I have managed events before and understand a limited capacity situation. She could have started off with a "congratulations, on your wedding; however, in full transparency, I would hate for you to be disappointed if we ended up running out of space and we had to turn people away." But she didn't. Like I told Gale over the phone, there is a much more pleasant way to approach that conversation than to be completely argumentative and outright rude to someone trying to give you business. I prefer to be treated with respect and understanding, and for that reason, myself and family members will choose not to give our business (during our wedding weekend or ever again) to this venue.
Wine is okay - especially if you are not a wine afficienado. The tasting is fun and they give a good amount and the tour is interesting. It is a must do I'd you are visiting the area. A great FREE event!
Awesome Winery in St. Augustine! Stop in for a self guided wine tasting tour and find a few bottles of Florida wine to take home with you. This is a great way to spend an hour or two in St. Augustine. The best part - it’s a free tour.
Good wines. Interesting muscadine blends. Felt a little like herded cattle as they moved the mostly-maskless crowd through the tastings.
Good wine but the Brie cheese is amazing
Free tasting and friendly service $10 you can taste and keep your glass
Hostess Maria was lovely, fun and informative. Not a real fan of sweeter wines but the port was good and the Pinot grigio .
Awesome, bought 2 bottles. Good prices, great wine. Worth the trip. Location is great, surrounded by the city. 5 stars!!!
One of the best free tours I've taken! Great variety of wine- both sweet and dry. They support local products. Kudos to the employees there! Very knowledgeable of what they served.
Very friendly...did the free tasting and tour.
Great date destination for the day. Awesome wines. We took home a case, Plus... Don't Judge!!! Will be back...
Nice enough winery though a bit commercialized but that is understandable given where it is located. They have a mix of local wine as well as some they make in California and sell here. The tasting of the local wines is free while the imports are $5. The Petite Sirah from CA is particularly good. Staff is very friendly and the shop has some nice finds. This is also a trolley tour stop.
Server staff was very friendly. Drinks are definitely priced reasonable. Try the mulled wine while in season.
Fantastic wine, The third floor restaurant is fantastic.
This was a nice surprise. We have been to wineries all over the place. I set my expectations a little lower here thinking it would be nice, but mostly aimed at tourist. It turned out to be a very nice place to visit with reasonable prices. They had a large sampling of wines based upon your tastes. They started with dry wines downstairs, moved to sweet wines upstairs while concluding the main wine tasting with some sweet after dinner wines. After this, you went (optionally) to a small wine tasting station that for $5 let you have two much larger samples of drier wine with the option of another $5 for a souvenir glass. We did this, and were very happy. After this, you could go up to the third floor (roof top) for a long light fare and some wine...again fully optional. There was also some nice live music. The prices on the third floor and of the wines themselves from the gift shop on the first floor were all very reasonable. I had read some reviews that said the wines were too sweet. I was surprised since I thought they had a very wide variety. We took advantage of their mix and match case and got an additional 20% off of 12 bottles to go. On whole, we were pleasantly surprised and will be returning soon and probably often!
Allison made our tour very informative. The tour consists of a 10 minute video and a complimentary wine tasting after. The pours were modest, but considering they were free, it was expected. We tried 9 different wines. There was never any pressure to buy, but we ended up getting a few bottles of their red wine and mulling spice.
The wine is good however the tasting experience is average at best. Small pours, limited choices, tourist are pushed in and out a bit like cattle. Still walked out with several bottle to serve this evening.
Always an enjoyable time, the rooftop cafe provides nice views and live music.
I'm not a sweet wine lover, but the tour and tasting was amazing! Our tour guide Evan was very knowledgeable and great fun. We finished off at the rooftop bar which had live music. Overall a great experience and we'll definitely be back!
Great wine! Perfect upstairs restaurant with live music and tasty treats!
Very relaxing, drinks, and a cheese plate, cool evening outside, they had several gas fireplaces, and heaters to make it comfortable. A+
Excellent tasting tour that you can do at your own pace. Information and pictures to look at along the way. Taste 8 or so wines for free with an optional $5 tasting of two full glasses of their more expensive wines at the end. You can keep their branded wine glass for another $5. Their shop is nice with wines at great prices, sauces and dressings. They also have accessories like aerators and chillers. Fun experience. We picked two wines we liked for $11 each!
We had fun tasting wine. We did purchase wine
Beautiful winery. They have a lovely "tour" that ends in a GREAT wine tasting. The wine is great! The staff is knowledgeable and patient, even my dumb questions were met with a calm, informative answer. Luckily they sell their wine in stores near me because I am definitely getting more and can't wait to go back.
We always enjoy our visit there. They offer special pricing on wine
The place it’s beautiful, in the rooftop you can decide between be outside or inside of the restaurant. They play live music and the service is very good. We could not do the tour, but it will be for the next visit.
Great wine selection with large menu and inventory on the premises. Food is excellent and I enjoyed the live entertainment on the rooftop what the fire pits!! I definitely recommend San Sebastian Winery is a definet must to see an enjoy when visiting... "Saint Augustine, Florida."
Been here many times great gift shop and the tour a lot of fun, wife loves to go, the weekend roof top is great evening of entertainment and offer really good small plate and drinks and view.
I really advise to take the tour. Free wine tasting. And tour around the Winery to see how the wine is made. Friendly staff.
Fun winery tour. Make sure to visit The Cellar Upstairs wine and jazz bar.
I have been coming to this winery for years when I come to Florida. Don't take the bad reviews as "gospel". You simply can not satisfy everyone and, they will complain about anything. I have never had a bad experience there EVER! I personally love this place because there are very few wineries in Florida and I WOULD recommend it even if just for the free tour and tastings.
We loved this visit. We loved wine. All the employees were very nice and professional. I recomended.
Meat and cheese board was great, great music too. All in all beautiful day.
Great service and very friendly staff. While the tour is not very informative (a walk through fermenting barrels and a video) the tasting is more interesting, especially for European palates . All white wines are sweet or demi-sweet and lack acidity. The red ones are demi-sweet and sweet, too. It was very interesting to me what kind of wines grow under the Florida sun.
On our way through St. Augustine, we stopped here. We are on a schedule, and do enjoy a wine tasting. Well forget it, because you have to take the tour, then taste 8 wines. I don't think this is smart. We would have enjoyed tasting a few, that is a safer way. So we were waiting, no one talked to us. Being ignored, not very friendly either. Then told, you have to take the tour! WOW. Bad experience
My first time and I enjoyed it, plus the tour guide was awesome.... Thanks for the wonderful experience
Incredible! Great service, extremely clean and welcoming. Nice menu, great wine, fantastic atmosphere. Definitely a repeat trip.
I loved the whole thing every where I looked it was something new the wine and liquor tasting was amazing the people there are very polite and friendly will go again will recommend it also
Recently visited to do some wine tasting. It was a great experience for a first time. The facility is very nice and so are the staff.
First impression: clean, modern, all staff dressed neatly. Wine was exquisite, I suggest the port and Ruby port. Very friendly, all staff, even the younger workers, were very knowledgeable and storing and presenting the wines.
Awesome place for the tasting your and lunch. The wines are amazing.
My husband and I had a marvelous experience at San Sebastian Winery on 5/8. After enjoying lunch on the lovely rooftop, we had a tasting with Paola. She is the kind of person that makes places like this truly special. She was so warm and personable as she took us through our wine tasting, it made for a very unique experience. Moving along the tour we met Tyler upstairs. He poured us some of their Proprietor's red, it was fabulous! He had a great personality and made us a laugh a good bit as we enjoyed the wine. A few stops later and we met Rory. If there is a one way to describe him- wine nerd! He had an absolute wealth of knowledge on wine and hearing him talk about it was absolutely fascinating. Such passion! The wines were excellent too and we took a few bottles home with us, but what stood out the most were these three excellent employees as well as the stunning setting. Bravo San Sebastian, and good job on keeping your employees on during this uncertain time.
Didn't like that you couldn't wine taste without taking the tour. Even though it's all free. First you have to wait for "next" tour then "short" video/tour combo took 45 mins...all before 30 mins of tasting. Didn't want to invest that amount of time...just wanted to taste a few and make a gift purchase. They run a very regimented process there.
Great and informative tour. Lots of information and a fun, free wine tasting. Check out the rooftop for music and light snacks. Allow about 2 hours for tour and wine tasting. Parking can be a challenge. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Worth seeing!
Staff was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Visitors and patrons are required to where masks. We had a good time.
Fun Vine testing & education.
Good times, great live music, good food and good wine. Must go.
The wine tasting tour was pleasant and although it's free you'll likely spend some money on buying a bottle :). I definitely recommend this on a trip to St. Augustine.
I'm a local and I love, loooove this winery. It certainly is the most different winery I've ever been to. I'm used to the ones where you sit next to the vineyard and have wine. This place crushes the competiton. The staff is super friendly, personable, and knowledgeable from the first to last person you meet. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their job. The tasting list is quite long with 4 tasting stations over 2 floors. The third floor has a rooftop that is currently open thurs to sun for lunch and dinner, with music everyday. There is indoor and outdoor seating and a large bar, which ever you prefer. The food was delicious and didn't take long considering it was getting a little busy in the early afternoon. I recommend the cheese plate, or meat and cheese plate, and bleu cheese chips. Food prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking on site and trolley tour stops here as well. Gift shop downstairs. They will ship your wine if you are traveling and can't take it with you. Bring your friends and have fun, you won't be disappointed!
We went for the wine tour and ended up having a lovely dinner on the roof enjoying the local music and views. I highly recommend visiting
All staff that we encountered were very friendly. The atmosphere was nice. The only reason that we only bought two bottles of wine is because we are flying. The Reserve Cab and Petit Syrah are definitely worth the $5 tasting fee.
This was such a great experience! I loved all the different wine tastings, and knowledge from the friendly staff! I wish I could've bought more bottles but I went with my two favorites which was the Vintners Red and the San Sebastian Port. I would definitely recommend this tour to others, and will return in the future when I come back to St. Augustine!
This is a must do if you are in St Augustine. You a receive around 7-8 wine tastings
Jan was a great tour guide. She made the experience informative and comfortable for everyone if you like your wine tasting dry or sweet there were choices for all. Your YUM is here and the price is right!
VERY NICE..EMPLOYEES VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY
Brittany was our waitress and she was great. The band was great and will return. Went there for my wife's birthday.
Loved them! We had a little free wine tasting. Most of the wine was ok. They take you on a palate tour lol. Anyway we also did do a paid tasting at the end, it was only $5.00 per person and it was worthy. We also came home with 6 bottles. They are good!
Wonderful music, awesome staff and very nice wine!
The best FREE tour and tasting. I loved it
Amazing wine and atmosphere! Must try!
Great wine tasting tour topped off with a bite to eat. Great!
Husband & I really enjoy this Winery!!!
We had great time! 3 free tasting stations + 1 station for $10 but you get a free glass and a lot more wine.Upstairs has a bar with quick bites.Fun experience overall!
San Sebastian is a lot of fun. Great wine tasting opportunities and the rooftop bar has live music and good food.
The tour we took was self-guided that day, which suited us just fine. Though we would've loved to hear more about the process, there were placards placed around with information about each wine we tried with a helpful list to mark your favorites as well.
This was a neat place to visit. The winery was recommended to me by a friend. I never knew this gem was local or had such great and rich history. The staff was friendly and offered suggestions at ever turn. The wine tasting was fun and informative especially for a newbie like me. Given social distancing they did a great job keeping the flow of patrons moving without disturbing the experience. We loved the store which had a lot of neat accessories and items to compliment the wine buying experience. We will definitely take any out of town guest here.
????Me and my wife went and I love their Port so ya know what I bought!???????? You've just been reviewed by (hometownselects.com) be proud cause no one gets more Floridian than me and wife both born and raised and been all over the state for years and have generations of friends and friendships. We know and love our state of birth.
It was decent. Not my cup of tea. Tour was pretty good. Guide was very friendly and helpful. The tasting was not my cup of tea. I was still happy we went.
Very friendly staff and unique flavors of wine. Nothing unusual, but distinct flavors. Will definitely be returning on my next visit.
Great place..free parking, free wine sampling????????
San Sebastian Winery has a really nice free wine tour that they offer that gives you a pretty good variety of samples to taste. Most of the stations have very knowledgeable attendants. There is one station that has paid tastings but they give you an option of a price to keep the wine glass or not. My only complaint is that they are a little disorganized. There aren't clear signs that point you to the direction of the flow of the tour or the upstairs restaurant/bar. We were given advice to get on the waiting list so that we could get seats after completing the self guided wine tour but the hostess didn't check to see if there was a wait and when we were done we went back and were told (the host played on his phone without ever looking up at us and the hostess kinda hovered over him oblivious) we would have a wait at least 30 minutes before being able to be seated. We did not wait for that part. The rest of the experience was very positive.
Came here for wine tasting and rooftop dining experience to celebrate a birthday. Our family arrived at 4:15p and was told that the rooftop food service stops at 5:30p. When we made it through the wine tour and onto the rooftop, it was about 4:45p. The hostess was extremely rude saying the kitchen closed at 4:30 and when I tried telling her the front door hostess stated it closed at 5:30p.. she dismissed me without even looking at me and continued saying the kitchen closed at 4:30. She proceeded to say that she was the hostess and was also food running and can't do anything about it.. she wasn't willing to hear what I had to say and was very condescending. When we were finally seated, the hostess went behind the bar to gossip with her peers about us. It gets better.. when I spoke with a manager named Zane about this horrible experience, he said it's a "work in progress". We eventually left shortly after being seated because we felt so unwelcome. I get places are short staffed and likely having to make things work and I'm super reasonable but sometimes folks need to take a minute, listen and arrive at a compromise. There was no service recovery offered in this situation, even though I wasn't looking for that. We are truly disappointed in San Sebastian and I'm sorry to say that we'll never return here again!!
I enjoyed my visit to the San Sebastian Winery which is located about a half a mile out of the more congested area of downtown St. Augustine. There are several lots so parking is easy. There was a short free film on the wine making process if you are interested, a nice retail store with trendy great gifts and lots of very tasty wine to purchase. Enjoyed the free tasting session of 8 types of wines available to those of wine drinking age! You can't go wrong with a stop at San Sebastian Winery!
I'm a new wine drinker. My taste is the light, neither toosweet , nor too sour type of wine. San Sebastián is definitely what I like, and probably the best wine I ever had.
Very disappointed! Told there was a 2 hour wait to go upstairs and there was NO ONE waiting! We were told the same nonsense on Fri but when we said we were not going to wait... miraculously a table opened up! This needs to stop!
Always a great visit. Enjoy the wine tasting and tour.
So much fun...wine tasting was great. Nice people...good wine...definitely worth dropping in. Try the Port...the good one...delicious!
Love this place!! This wine is all I drink at home but this winery is so wonderful. I especially love the rooftop with full menu and music
The tour and tastings were fun. There are some great wines to be had here. Macey was an excellent tour guide! Would recommend stopping by the distillery for a tour and the chocolate factory as well while you’re in the area.
The best wine tour/tasting experience yet. Very educational and fantastic wines. I shipped 6 bottles home !!
Enjoyed the wine tasting. Had some tasty appetizers on the roof top served by a friendly staff. Went back and purchased a case of wine and some souvenirs before we left St Augustine. Nice place.
Great if you like sweet wines. We didn't take the tour and tasting so can't comment on that. The gift shop was very nice and we bought some wine to take home and try.
If you like sweet wine, cream sherry, or port I highly recommend this place. We were married here in 2005 (they no longer do weddings there due to the upstairs bar) and I still love it as much as I did when we first went.
Wonderful wine. Rooftop bar great. Food was great. Live music Wonderful.
Best wine! Great people!
There is something here for everyone, even people who don't typically like wine. Free informative tour and tastings. I've been twice and the first time was a full tour with history of the building and the process of making wine and tasting with instructions on swirling, sniffing, the whole deal. The second trip was on a weekend and maybe it was just busier, but they did a self guided tour and tasting, which was much faster, but still delicious. This is also a trolley stop, in case you don't want to drive after ;)
I'm not a wine drinker, but they changed my mind. Tour was great and the Vinta Red was wonderful.
We had a great lunch and a great view. The food was delicious and the wine amazing. I recommend sitting outside in the third floor deck. The view was wonderful. The service was outstanding.
My trip to San Sebastian Winery was delightfully informative, the staff was personable and educated - I can highly recommend SBW as a solid winery, my favorite wine tasting was their white chardonnay (white) which was dry and surprisingly good. 5/5.
Had a great time with complimentary wine tasting! We ended up walking out with 3 bottles to bring home. Wish the rooftop bar was open on Monday as we had planned to check it out.. maybe next time!
Super cute place with knowledgeable staff. The wines were on the sweet side but the tour was free so I can't complain.
Staff were exceptionally rude. Prepare to be treated like a freeloader even if you came to spend. Every uppity attitude obsessed Flagler student in the city works there and belive me it's a huge inconvenience to them to have to speak to you. Even though the wine is better than slightly average quality we won't waste another minute on them
Love the atmosphere have free tour as well as free wine tasting most br age 21 or older
nice and easy going wine tour- about some 6 or 7 samples....free... takes some 30 minutes to an hour. nice fun afternoon :)
nice place to go my time being there everything's great
We did the tour and tasting some years ago. We now go to buy the local Florida wine. There is a nice selection. The wine runs just a bit sweeter then wines from colder climates. The roof top deck is a pleasant way to share a bottle of wine and small plates. Pleasant environment with good wines.
There was a bit of confusion at the hosting station upon entering. She kept telling customers that they need to fight it out amongst ourselves for a seat at the bar. Not exaggerating she said it repeatedly. It was funny at first but then it wasn't. There were 2 hostesses both with earpieces communicating back and forth to someone upstairs. They said that there were no tables available nor bar seating. The couple that arrived after us was taken up before us as well. Shortly after, we were allowed upstairs at the bar. The first thing we noticed was that there were at least 3 extra seats even after we were seated. We then noticed that there were also at least 3 other tables that were available. None the less, we were there to have a few drinks and appetizers and to see the band. After we were seated the staff, food ambiance and music was great. Would have been a 5 star review except for the terrible experience trying to get into the restaurant.
Very good wines to use for marinades and cooking. They have a nice assortment of spices and unconventional seasonings as well.
What a cool hang out. Great wine. Food was good. Service and people everywhere to help
If you like, this is a must see. They have a very informative tour and then a wine tasting class. All free. They also have there wines for sale. They also have a wine and cheese sales at the top of the building.
Vineyards white wine is very good!
The wine here is fantastic and I love touring through the winery to taste the different wines. San Sebastian has one of my favorite cabs. I make a point to come here every time I visit St. Augustine
Stopped in on an early Sunday afternoon. By 1pm all of the tables outside (on one side of the roof) were already full. We had red sangria which was pretty sweet (which it does state of the menu) but very good. We also ordered a cheese board which was delicious. They also had live music starting around 1pm. Besides that, it’s a really nice atmosphere with some nice views.
Cool place and the wines are pretty good. Tour was brief, but the tasting more lengthy.
Nice selection of wines. It only took about 25 minutes for the tasting. We enjoyed the Chardonnay.
I have to ding them for the cheap bag they put my wine in. It's 90 degrees or so and I sweatted through the handle, and the bag broke. I lost a bottle of wine and a bottle of datil pepper sauce. Everything else was fine, but I am forced to ding them two stars because everything they sold me was ruined. What would you do? Please use better bags.
My absolute Favorite tour in St Augustine, so many different wines to taste and choose from even sangria!.The atmosphere was amazing and the winery was so beautiful, very farm house style and everyone was so amazing I will definitely visit every trip , delicious wines and so many to choose from I highly recommend the visit , and the tasting is free how can you beat that!!!
Visited the Wine tour for my birthday and felt uncomfortable when asked to show I.D for the second time. I’m not understanding the reasoning for this if I had my I.D scanned at the door. I shouldn’t have to repeatedly show my I.D. I was so disturbed I left the tour
My wife and I took the free tour and tasting and had a great time tasting the delicious wines. We even did the paid testing! I don't think we tasted anything we didn't like! The staff was very friendly. And of course we took a few of our favorites home with us.
Very much enjoyed the walk through the winery. It's not what I expected, as it's a self guided tour. Pretty much just walk to a few different stations and taste a couple of weeks at each.
Great wine selection and restaurant with awesome view!
Had a blast here. Did their tour and wine tasting which was fun and knowledgeable. We were entertained the whole time!
Free tour. Our guide (I believe her name was Maria) was informative, friendly, and had a nice sense of humor. We toured he facility, learned a bit about their processes/wines, and were able to taste quite a few varieties! Worth the stop.
Nice location .We did not really like the wine we chose probably because it was to hot. Once you are seated be sure you are on the stage side. They have live music there that you could miss. The other side is too hot.
The tour and the tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about the history of the winery. He was very knowledgeable on the subject of wine and how to select a wine .
Not actually where they make the wine...The tour is just them telling you how they make it...They also herd you around in a big group and when you do the wine tasting they only let you try certain kinds, not all....and you are bunched in at this U-shaped table, right up next to each other...Not much room. The tour was informative but I have been on winery tours in Tennessee that are far better.
Awesome place, very nice people and great wines! Loved it
Every one was very knowledgeable and helpful. Zane was great. In the few minutes it took us to buy our bottles, he gave us so much information about the wines, shipping information, website, and also to give us information about the other tastings in St. Augustine. This was a last minute stop for us on our visit to the area and I'm so glad that we did.
The winery tour was good. A nice video talking about the history. We kept having people come in the room when video was playing. It was a bit disrupting. The video and the tour guide were informative. The tasting was plentiful and good. My only regret was not buying a bottle or two as there were some good ones.
I always love going here. The wine is delicious, the tour is great, and all of the staff are knowledgeable about the wine and very friendly. It's a must when visiting St. Augustine!
Great staff and atmosphere, but not for anyone who enjoys dry wine. Everything was extremely sweet.
We had a great time and learned so much about wine with Gale. She really knows how to entertain a room. The wine was good, though most were on the sweeter end of the spectrum, Castillo Red being the standout. At any rate, it's a great stop to escape the summer heat. I would go again on my next trip!
Great taste especially if you like fruitie flavors in wine ????????????
The wine tasting was free so you cant really take off points for anything there. You got to try 6 wines and learn a little about the area the wine is made. Most of the wine they make is on the sweeter side so we were not big fans of the actual wine but thats just because of personal taste. There was a rooftop bar with live music that was really nice and quaint. I got a sangria and a french bread with balsamic vinegar appetizer that were both delicious. Overall, I will definitely be back.
Very unique free tasting experience with a self guided tour. Very enjoyable wines too.
Excellent wines and knowledgeable staff to aid in your selection. When in St. Augustine a nice addition to your trip.
Very nice day to sit outside on the rooftop and have great drinks. Great service.
We thought that there would be a tour and there wasn't one. I did do some wine tasting but they did not tell me about the wine just poured it a d that was it. Will not go back ever.
Nice little winery. We came for the free wine tasting. We enjoyed it. We didn't get to go up to the third floor to the restaurant where the music was. We were running on a time constraint. We will be back sometime in the future.
We were looking forward to taking a break from tour and relaxing with a glass of wine. Waited 25 minutes for service. Ended up leaving. Most likely will not visit again.
Don’t Go Hungry! The wine is fair but I’m not in France. If you’re planning on just a stop on “a wine tour” and not including dinner then ok. But who believes Florida wines are actually wine. No real dinner entrees unless sandwiches are what you’re looking for with your wine. Service is good and the outer “deck” overlooks a “beautiful” gas station.
Great stop if you're a wine lover too. Free tastings on most inventory.
Last Saturday we took what turned out to be a very nice wine tasting tour. After the tour we purchased 2 bottles of Chard, 2 Cabs and 2 Petite Sirah. All very good wines. When paying we didn't notice what was being placed in a very convenient cloth "six-pack" carry bag that we were handed, nor did we check what was in the bag at the time. When we got home we discovered there were 2 Chards, 2 Cabs and 2 Pinot Grigios! No Petite Sirah! Was this a bait-and-switch? Here's the part you are not going to believe. Called them up on Monday morning to let them know what happened. Talked to a live person and after I was issued an apology I was told that the warehouse manager would call me back. Yeah right I thought. About an hour later I received a return call. After the warehouse manager apologized profusely for the mistake I was told that they would send me 2 bottles of the Petite Sirah at no charge, and please keep the 2 Pinot Grigios on them! On Tuesday the very next day UPS delivered 2 bottles of Petite Sirah to my home. Wow! Now that's customer service and then some. I still can't believe it. Thank you San Sebastian Winery you now have a customer for life.
Both the tour and the wine were great, our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, and on top of that, the tour and tasting were free! I would highly recommend this winery!
We had a wonderful time and Vinny Jacobs was wonderful!!! We had a wonderful waitress too!!! The food was great and price was great!!! Can't wait to come back to him sing and play guitar again and enjoy the food and your staff. Thanks, Renee Myla Corbett
I went there and love a wine they give for tasting (the vintners white wine) and bought it right away at the winnery. But when I look for it online or publix was half price( cheaper than there). It's a shame I felt stolen. Very DESSAPOINTED .
Love the restaurant for lunch. Good simple food and wine.
Great wine, great atmosphere upstairs. It would be nice if there was some kind of notice that food will only be served until 8 PM.
Great wine, great food, great service. Always a must do for us when we're in St. Augustine!
Tour was nice but the tasting room was even better! Loved all the wines and the guide was fun. They had juice & crackers for our kids while we sampled.
Great experience. We are repeat guests and we love coming when we are in town. 3o Minutes for Jacksonville, a must do attraction for 21+.
People are friendly and wine is delicious. The staff was knowledgeable about the wine and I was able to get through the tour with no wait.
Such a fun stop and you don't have to be a drinker. The atmosphere is very fun, lots of shopping for delicious snacks and wine accessories. There is a free and paid tour, the only difference is the size of the glass. Wines were light and refreshing.
The winery was wonderful. We ate upstairs. The food and service was great.
This place is a favorite of ours. Unfortunately we had not visited in some time and as it happens, the wine selection has changed. Our two favorites are no longer available. The Castillo Red has been updated to a Cabernet, which I always knew it was. But my overall favorite, Blanc du Bois, has been eliminated completely due to the grapes inability to produce the quantity of quality wine that made it great. This is a real loss. There are two other whites than can quench the thirst for whites and I highly recommend a tasting to choose your favorite. We grabbed a crispy sandwich at the rooftop restaurant with it's 360 views of St. Augustine and Intercoastal backwaters. The day was sunny and hot, but the wonderful oceanic winds gave cool relief before you even had time to think about sweating! It was a lovely couple of hours at the Winery.
We had Maria as our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable about the winery as well as the wines. The carbernet-sauvignon and the pinot were excellent. Loved knowing we were consuming and buying local in the community and supporting Florida agriculture- I wish there were more businesses that supported local. Overall great experience, we'll be back to try the distillery next!
I am absolutely disgusted by the customer service I received today. I planned on taking a friend to the winery for a tasting. I have had your wine before and hearing good reviews from others; she was pretty excited. According to your website wine tastings end at 6pm; so we arrived at 5:30pm do to work schedules. And the man behind the counter gave nothing but attitude to my friends and I when I asked what time do the tastings end because the website says 6pm. I will never return to the San Sebastian Winery, and will tell all my friends not to do so.
Celiacs stay clear!! The food was great! However when we arrived I clearly stated I am a celiac and was assured by our server the food I ordered was infact safe. It was not...... If you are celiac, don't do it! Anyone else, great place to have a nice lunch date.
The tour is fun and informative. The wine is GREAT. The Vintners Red is my favorite.
Pleasant experience great wine good prices..
I recently left a review and misnamed our tasting guide. Kaila was our teacher during our tour. I am sitting here sipping some of the winery’s Port. Very impressed. My other review was for the distillery. Big fan of the winery and all the staff. Can’t wait to come back.
I wanted to go here but I read the reviews too many people calling the staff and customers racist. No thank you! Sad because I love wine. If you’re looking for a great tour go to St. Augustine Distillery omg they are amazing. The tour is guided and professional and the liquor is reasonably priced.
The staff was very friendly. We ordered a carafe of sangria, red. Wasn't the best we've ever had. Considering the covid restrictions in place for live entertainment, the duo that was performing was very good. The turkey provolone sandwich was awesome and the wings with the dry rub were also very good. Not a huge fan of the chips. We also got a bowl of fries which were delicious. The view from the third floor wasn't breathtaking but it was interesting. Would recommend..
Not worth the time. Not really a tour, just trying to get you taste their wines and purchase. Wines are not very good.
Celebrating Mother's day ???? Excellent place good atmosphere, the service was great ????..Good Music ???? perfect combination to enjoy drinks and food.. And definitely good company ❤ Is the perfect complement.
Fantastic self guided tour And the restaurant on top amazing
Amazing sunset views and terrific wine on rooftop overlooking San Sebastian River. Pinot Grigio was particularly good. Live music and fun, nice crowd.
No real tour. You just walk around and get free tastings. Last tasting costs money and you can purchase a souvenir glass.
Most of the wines were in the sweeter side, and I enjoyed the live music. The size of the pour wasn't super generous but the girls were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed, we had a great time
Wine tour was nice! Upper deck had great food!
The wine tour is amazing! The staff are phenomenal!!
Great Winery! Love the history. Employees are Very Knowledgeable! They welcomed all my questions asked with understandable explanations. I believe I counted 13 different wines! Will Return with friends.
Awesome place with a good selection of wines and a great view.
My wife and I enjoyed today’s tour tremendously. The dry wines were good, but the semi-sweets and cream sherry were outstanding, and we never enjoyed sweet wines before! The paid tasting ($10 a person to keep wine glass/$5 without) was also excellent, offering a vinters red and the red mixed with port. Service was also great, and staff are friendly and make for good conversation. The tour is a must-do in St. Augustine—only drawback was the Cellar restaurant upstairs was closed today and apparently only open Thursday-Sunday. Otherwise stellar experience!
Awesome wine tasting tour and the restaurant upstairs is just off the charts.Ashland the server is amazing and has the best i recommendations for food and drink.Hands down one of the best things to do in St Augustine. San Sebastian Winery ????
Wonderful Winery and they give you a really nice experience! Free wine tasting, what's better than free wine not much! ???? Plus at the last stop on the tour you have the opportunity to buy your glass.???? Then you get to go back downstairs and buy some really awesome wine and gifts... It's fun and I reccomend this place highest of all the attractions in St.Augustine !
Best experience I've ever had at a winery. Great staff and great tasting experience. They have some of the best wine here. You must try!
Great experience during the tour inside the building. The wine testing was delicious, I make the list of my favorites ones!
The experience there continues to overwhelm. We love it there more and more
The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is because I was not a fan of any of the wine. BUT the experience, the tour and the people made it very enjoyable. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.
Ok…. So taste if not guzzle the proprietors reserve like immediately.. full bodied fruit and perfect dry to sweet.. do this with the charcuterie board meat and cheese.. everyone is wonderful at the winery.. hands down delish and soooooooo worth the time..
Great find in St Augustine. Lots of roof top seating and inside too. They close at 6 pm on Sundays just a heads up and restaurant closes at 4 pm on Sunday. Beautiful views and nice wait staff. You can take the tour of the winery before heading up to enjoy a glass or head straight up to relax. All different wines are served. A nice way to relax at night away from the hustle of downtown but still walking distance to all the makes St Augustine special. Enjoy!!
Complimentary tastings! We enjoyed the interaction with the staff as well. The tour was self-guided due to COVID 19 guidelines. The merchandise was reasonably priced. We enjoyed the paid tastings as well, which also included a souvenir wine glass. We suggest visiting early and on weekdays. The winery is on the trolley stop, si it gets pretty crowded. We were there the hour it opened on a Tuesday so we were the only ones there.
We learned alot about wine today from an expert named Sue. It was very fascinating, and she explained in an easy to understand and fun manner. We had an excellent experience and the tastings were enlightening. I will definitely return to have more fun and will tell all my family and friends to try it out. They have a large selection of wines, something for everyone.
The Winery itself is a great experience. From the tasting tour to the restaurant "The cellar upstairs," there's something for everyone here. The beer cheese hotdog, beer cheese pretzel, and the charcuterie board were all great. They did seem understaffed as it did take quite a bit of time to get our orders in but the food was delivered promptly. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend it!
This is one of our favorite places to go to in St. Augustine. The wine tasting is fun and the restaurant up stairs has good food, pretty scenery and live music!
The server or waiter stole my sunglasses. I would Not recommend dining here. I left them on the table and came back not even 10 minutes later. Surprisingly, nobody had seen them. Dishonest staff. Server is Ashley!!
Relaxing atmosphere at the wine bar with live music and friendly service. Sangrias are amazing!!
Came in for a tour/ tasting and was given no explanation, a small plastic cup for samples, and was told to walk to the back. They gave us a few samples of wine and the samples continued upstairs. Upstairs there's more samples but only 1 person pouring at each stop and it took forever. The whole place seems crammed and disorganized.
Website says opened till 6, free tastings. We got there at 10 till. I knew it was close. The young lady behind the counter said they stop tastings at 5:15. There was a couple tasting currently. Another employee went over and shut the lights off. You could tell she wanted to go home. Post on your website when tastings stop. We only wanted to taste sweet. She relented and poured two. We liked the sweet red but did not want to purchase a case so close to closing time. Walked out at 5:55
Awesome place to relax! You can sit on the rooftop and enjoy the sunset while listening to live music and sipping sangria! Could life get any better?
Our first time in St. Augustine and we decided to visit the San Sebastián Winery. We liked the wine tasting so much we bought 8 bottles to go! We enjoyed chatting with Sue and a special shout out to Abby for her great customer service! Thank you so much! We can’t wait to come back!!!
Cannot recommend. A "free" tasting but charge 5 bucks for a taste of their "better" port? (Oh, and a nibble of chocolate.) Not much at the facility to tour, and I didn't see any place where the grapes could be grown. As for the wines themselves, the cream sherry was OK. And the people seem nice enough. These are the reasons for giving 2 stars instead of 1, which is what I would give the other wines on the tasting. I've been to wineries from Oregon to Michigan to New York, and even tasted a port from outside Kansas City, and all I can suggest is that these wines prove that Florida has neither the soil nor the climate for growing wine grapes.
Food and service were both outstanding!
The tour has gotten a lot shorter but they have updated their orientation film. The wine tasting is still free.
Nice local wines with both sweet and dry wines available. Sherry and port dessert wines are outstanding. Tastings are free, with paid tastings available for some higher end offerings. Store has Boar's Head cheeses and snacks available, as well as, many accessories t shirts, etc. Close by is the St. Augustine Distillery, a short drive or walk away. Ample parking available, and a regular stop on the trolley tours. Surprisingly good quality wines, with a variety of reds and whites offered. Worth a visit! Entertainment also available on the top floor, check the website for availability...nice!
We came last year and took the tour and did the wine tasting. We loved it so much that we came back this year and bought tons of wine to take home with us. We especially love the Vintner's Red, but the Vintner's White is good as well. They can't ship to Alabama, so we have to stock up while we're in town.
Free for and tasting. Beautiful bouquet wines. Wonderful knowledgeable staff. Great prices. Look forward to another visit.
Tasty (and affordable) selection of wine and snacks. Loved the white sangria. The staff at the upstairs bar are super friendly. Great for a group or by yourself. Try some wines or grab a beer and don't forget to get a bottle or two + to take home.
Nice Williams and very enjoyable tour. Recommend as a stop for touring St Augustine. Large variety of wines in the gift shop as well as accessories.
Friendly staff and great selection. This trip taught me to be more open to American wines from outside California.
Relaxing ambiance, with comfortable leather seating. Fine selection of wine ????. And pairing platters. Plenty of space. Bands playing regularly. Enjoyed the easy listing of saint johns woods band. Just a cover band but certainly a rymthmic attitude. On a more realistic human deceptiveness note the brunette and the redhead girl that curly hair, that attest actually join me at the fire seated area just seemed to be trying to gather information from me, but not as friends friends. So I reduced a star.
My wife and I took the free tour and tasting and had a great time tasting the delicious wines. We even did the paid testing! I don't think we tasted anything we didn't like! The staff was very friendly. And of course we took a few of our favorites home with us.
Great winery. Staff is very customer friendly, very helpful and great place upstairs for a drink and food.
I enjoyed hearing the history of the winery and our guide was very personable and knowledgeable. I especially liked the tastings at the end!
San Sebastian is the best winery I have ever visited . It is a very big winery with over ten wines tasting station from the first floor all the way to the third floor. There are a lot of great, delicious and different varieties of wine. They have all kinds of accessories available for serving wine, if you think about setup a private wine collection or a breuvage table at your home or for a event or such they have everything you need that related to wine. For those of you who want to go wine tasting but need to eat something first this is perfect because it also has a very beautiful roof top restaurant with live band on the weekend. The restaurant is very spacious with an incredible view of the Saint Augustine biggest and oldest building like the Cathedral. The food was so good and the service was fast. I really enjoyed the time that I spent at this place. The only thing that I would complain about is the parking but it seems that they are already working on making a big parking lot in the back of the winery. For me if Saint Augustine has then top places I think San Sebastian Winery is one of them with no hesitation. I hope that you have a good time over there!
First time visiting a winery and it was great. Everyone explained the wines perfectly....purchased 2 cases to take home with me.
Awesome! Very educational and free wine tasting! Lovely selection and very flavorful! Thank you katelin for the wonderful experience!
Relaxing ambiance, with comfortable leather seating. Fine selection of wine ????. And pairing platters. Plenty of space. Bands playing regularly. Enjoyed the easy listing of saint johns woods band. We had a great time on the rooftop of wine and jazz club. Alyssa wasn't excellent server!!
So much fun as to be expected. Nice wine tasting and their shop had so much. We bought 6 bottles and a couple items and it was about 100 bucks. Great price. The bar/restaurant upstairs was delicious and had nice views.
The rooftop views are nice, but the tour just rushes you through and you learn absolutly nothing about the winery or the wine making process.
Meat and cheese board was great, great music too. All in all beautiful day.
We had a great time sampling the wines, especially since the tastings are free! After that we went to the bar and enjoyed appetizers with an excellent view. Great place to go!
After the enjoyable free wine tasting tour head upstairs to the patio restaurant. We had great food, wine and service. A shout out to Zoe for her great service and friendly service!
Very nice place. Good food and drinks. Service is good. Roof deck has 2 sides but only one side is open which causes long wait for an out door table
I did the wine tasting here and our server Shawn was fantastic! Such a fun experience. I highly recommend visiting this winery. This is definitely one of my favorite places I’ve visited in St. Augustine.
The tastings are free, and the information the workers give is excellent. If you love wine or have no knowledge, this is a fun place to experience, and the prices are excellent!
The wine tour is excellent. 2nd visit in 4 years and I think I will come here every time I visit the city.
Lot's of FUN. Didn't know what to expect. Jerry, our guide for about 20 of us in the tour did a wonderful job! I learned that I should be using an aerator when pouring wine for guests... We all and several wine tastings which was so nice! We bought a bottle of Vintners Red on our way out. Should have gotten an aerator too! Susie 3 1 55
I met a few new people at my resort and they said this place had Amazing views and great wine! Don't take my word check the pictures this place is beautiful. The live band has a great addition and really rocked. Try the house white sangria if you want something fruity and not to strong. The staff was very friendly and everyone had on a mask!
Great wines,also have gifts ideas,wonderful staff.And a great location.
We have done the tour a few times before but somehow missed "the cellar upstairs" After another great recommendation on a vacation rental the owners urged us to try this place we had missed..Thank you very much Paul and Kathy! so great, staff was great and friendly and its definitely a local spot! We had wonderful sangrias with a co ocean breeze and great background music. A must to do while in town. Nannie was the best!! If you are lucky enough to get her you will definitely enjoy yourself between knowledge of the area, great personality and service with a smile! We really enjoyed talking with her and all of the other staff was pleasant and helpful as well. Found our new go to spot while in town :) Thanks!
They don't ask you to wear the mask, we were, no social distance, PLACE WAS PACK, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT PROTECTING PEOPLE, IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY.
The Cream Sherry is SO good!
We always enjoy coming to the San Sebastian winery. Right now you get 20 percent off when you purchase a case.
Nice place with live music. Good local wine. Beautiful view if you seats on the top of the roof. Services is nice and friendly!
If you're a big fan of drier wines, you may not like these. If you are a fan of muscadine grape wine, this is the place for you. Definitely worth going on a day when they are not having a self guided tour so you get the full experience. If you've been before, the self guided tour is just a walk around a drink samples affair and is a nice way to relearn which are your favorites. Their port is my favorite port of any I've tried. The rooftop bar is a nice place to sit, sip, and hang. It's not really a full restaurant deal, but they do have some food designed for sharing. Go on a day with a nice breeze and a comfortable temp and be ready to hang for an easy hour or more.
Me and my friend arrived about 15 minutes after the store closed today and I have to say the amount of courtesy and customer service that I received tonight has won you guys at a customer for the rest of my life. A younger gentleman took care of us after hours when he didn't technically have to and went out of his way to provide us with the utmost amount of excellent customer service. Even as a local to St Johns County I am impressed. I just want to say I cannot thank you guys enough for taking care of me even when the doors were already closed for the night. Thank you again and I will definitely be having a meal soon.
Wine tasting tour great fun great tour guide, Zane, very nice place to visit excellent wine next next day we came back to see the wine bar on the roof very nice place highly recommended
Tremendous time on the rooftop. Great music. Great wine. Good menu to enjoy the view. A real treasure and worth the visit.
Did the tour this time paid the $5 for thr reserve wines. And if you don't think five dollars isn't worth it you are wrong. The chocolate pairing was phenominal. It is a perfect pair. All their wines are delicious. Especilly the dessert wines.
Self oriented tour with tasting stations. Outstanding wines and related products.
Try the restaurant on the roof. Open only on weekends. Great food and live music.
Nice tour with good wine. We really enjoyed the rooftop atmosphere.
To be a free tour &wine tasting, it was ok. If I had paid for the tour & tasting, I would not have been happy. The tour "guide" or hostess, was very affable.
Went here today for a quick drink and snack and before you judge the drinks were not all mine!! We had the vintners white and red sangria and some baked wings. Amazing!!! If you have never been to their rooftop bar you must come here. Every time we come here the bartenders like Nannie and Megan are so nice! They are all nice actually!! Come and see for yourself! Happy and safe drinking!
Really nice experience. A short, informative tour then a relaxed and interesting tasting session. Great little gift shop, too. I wish we had time to check out the rooftop bar during our visit!
Excellent tour and the Port flavored desert wines are legendary.
Due to covid-19 it is different from the usual tour. Still great. It is good to be out and about. Wear a mask though!
Such a pleasant surprise. Excellent wines, friendly staff, and great products.
This is perhaps the most romantic spot in St. Augustine. On nice weekend evenings, dance the night away under the stars to a live band on a glowing rooftop overlooking the river and sip sweet sangria when your toes get tired! The ambiance is second to none, and my husband and I LOVE it here. We'd recommend going to dinner elsewhere first, however--while they do have some nibbles, they're not "wow" worthy (if you're a snobby foodie like we are, anyway), and you definitely will want something substantial in your belly before you down one of their sangria pitchers!
Just spend $10 after a few free shots of free wine and get a beautiful memorabilia wine glass of your choice and 3 more shots in that glass with premium dessert wines..Yum!!!
Beautiful Rooftop views with live music at times. They have taste testing tours to show you around the winery and to educate you on how the winery is run. Neat experience and its all free!! Well that is until you taste the Wine and have to buy a couple bottles lol.
Very nice place and great wine very helpful with questions about wine and the kinds you like paired us with the perfect wine
First visit.. limited menu today. Enjoyed it. Outdoor rooftop experience. .dogs allowed.
Need to beef up health protocols with the staff ( we are under a pandemic with fatal outcomes in Fla !!!) nice ambience , and aceptable finger food. Would have given a 4 stars ,but due to the server NOT WEARING MASK while bringing our food which cause me severe anxiety, and so spoiled my outing. Hope ALL staff takes wearing mask more seriously...not doing so could cost more infection spread and potentially less patrons .
Great place to learn about and taste wines.
If your able to try the Mulled Spice wine, hot, it's amazing! Super friendly, and good prices!
Great atmosphere, beautiful views, great live music. Excellent wine, food, and service. We would come here every weekend if we lived here.
One of the only wineries I've been to that does free tastings. The tastings are set up at different stations, both upstairs and down, which allows you to walk through different parts of the winery. And they do have some very nice wines!
Bought two case's of wine. Good product and very friendly staff
Great tour, wines, and awesome cream Sherry. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable for the high quality of the wine.
Florida’s Best Muscadine Grape???? Wines still available for on line shoppers. Fast shipping! Great website! Delivered in 3 days.
We had a wonderful time! Wine tasting was fun and informative and they even had muscadine grape juice for our kids to sample!!! We'll be purchasing San Sebastian wine again!
A very nice self tour, samples and gift store. Plenty of California AND Florida grape wines to try as well as some local fortified wines. The hosts are very friendly and willing to help answer questions. It does get pretty busy by noon to afternoon. We got there when they opened at 10 am and had a great and leisurely time.
Didn’t really visit for the tastings or tour but wanted to relax on the rooftop patio on the third floor. This really should be a five star review all day long with no problems but the slow service killed it for me . The meat and cheese platter was just average and they could perhaps add a few more than four olives for $16.00 . Saying this I would definitely return and give it another visit with the hope that this was just a one off .
Great tasting wines. Relaxing atmosphere. Great snack menu. Loved it! The best looking ceasear salad I've ever seen. make sure you make your way to the top floor. it's a beautiful space.
Very nice tasting 11/27/2020 Loved the muscadines. Bought 4
Did the wine tasting and it was great.
The wine tasting was fun, the staff was polite would love to go back & go to the third floor for sangria & tapas
Wine drinkers will enjoy this and non wine drinkers can enjoy soda and water along with really great food choices. Crab sandwich and Italian sandwiches are very good and French Fries with the crab sandwich is a great flavor. Will definitely return! Band was quite good (Bread and Butter)
The wine tour was educational and fun. The rooftop wine & jazz bar had a great vibe and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back
Guided tour was ok, wine tasting was great. Nice gift shop and good wine.
Good wines at reasonable prices. Wine tasting helped choose wines. Highly recommend
Friendly staff, great wine... Definitely worth the time to visit...
Great experience, the free wine tasting where you hardly can find anyone doing a free tasting now days is just unbelievable. Definitely enjoy that and the tour and as well as the upstairs patio for more wine and appetizers. Don’t forget to stop in the gift shop pick up the bottle you like and little gifts it’s the least you can do to support the business for goodnesses sake they give you free wine support and have a good time! Great employees knowledgeable and great customer service!
If I could give a higher rating I definitely would. The staff was very friendly when my husband and I visited back in October 2018. We brought a spice rack during our visit; when we flew back home one of the spice jars had broken. I called the winery to find it where I could purchase a replacement. They very graciously took care of replacing the spice jar for us free of charge!
A nice tour and helpful staff. The wine is good
The rooftop bar is outstanding!! The wedge salad was super fresh and great. Service was quick & friendly. Loved it, we’ll be back again!!
A nice tour. The Cellar on the roof is a nice place for simple eats and live music.
Very disappointing. Very poor limited wine selection for a winery. Food was subpar. We ordered the beer cheese and pretzels with beer cheese and mustard. The beer cheese was runny and the mustard was clearly out of a mustard bottle. The sangria was so watered down it was undrinkable. While eating inside we could hear music coming from the kitchen with f bombs every 2 seconds. Overall a very disappointing waste of time.
I love your wines! My favorite is Vinters White! The best hands down wine I have ever tasted. It goes well with an expensive dinner and an after work relaxing drink. My only suggestion is it should start coming in different ways; small packs, non cork. Other then that awesome wine.
If it wasn't for the gorgeous wines you taste for free, this might only rank 3 stars for me. I believe pre-Covid there was more of a "tour", now it's mostly shuffling between 3 tasting stations where you get a small measure of some lovely local wines. The store is worthy as a local wine store and I'll be coming here for Port for sure!
Bad! Bad! Bad! Jazz Club on the roof for 55+ only. Younger people are discriminated against by old people rules. I tried sitting on available couch and old lady came up and said she wanted to sit there. When I refused to get up, she pushed me and my purse. Manager didn't even want to listen to my side of the story or solve the situation. Never again!!!
I love San Sébastien Winery. They have a free tasting. Ask for Sarah upstairs at the rooftop bar/restaurant. For the wine tastings I love the sweet wines but they offer dry wines too. Today we decided to get a snack at the upstairs bar/ restaurant and have some wine. We went with the white & red sangria. The red sangria is more apple/berry tasting. The white sangria is more orange/citrus tasting. We went with the pretzels (you get 4 we kinda started eating before I remembered to take pictures) with cheese. And the hummus plate. The hummus and pita chips are homemade and delicious. The chicken wings I could do without just not much flavor. I've had worse but I've had better. Same with the meatball marina it was plain. That being said I wonder if our wine took away the flavor of the meatball. The server Sarah was awesome and friendly. I might have taken home just a couple bottles of wine. Definitely worth the stop for samples and wine. Enjoy!
I am writing to report multiple racist incidents my friends and I had at San Sebastian Winery last weekend. My friends and I visited the San Sebastian Winery for a bachelorette party and dined at the Cellar upstairs, the roof bar and restaurant. Cool space, nice views, food decent, service busy yet generous. A musician was playing live the whole time, passing between guitar songs without segues except for one very unfortunate time when he took the opportunity to make a racist Chinese joke. The musician was TJ Brown, and when I took the time to greet him on stage and kindly inform him that I found the joke to be problematic, TJ tried to ignore his joke, then got defensive, refused to apologize, and rebuked me with a weak, misogynistic comment. After yet again offending my friends and I, he proceeded to rouse fellow racists in the crowd over the microphone -- which he succeeded at, which made the establishment become a deeply unsafe environment. We tried to leave and on the way out were further denied safety by a racist bunch of folks who made it clear we were not welcome to ride the elevator with them. No action to stop the situation was taken by the Winery while we were there. As long as this issue goes unresolved I will fly this red flag: BEWARE OF RACISTS, MISOGYNISTS, AND OTHER BIGOTS AT SAN SEBASTIAN WINERY.
My first visit I wish I had made sooner. Live a few hours away tho. They serve wine, not any teas or racism. Get to sample then purchase what you liked. Pulling into the rear to park, be careful the curb is in the driveway on the left.
More of a casual tasting experience. Learn as you go rather than a tour. It's free tasting, except the final tasting of 2 reds was $5 without the glass and $10 if you wanted to take the glass home.
We came here to take part in the free wine tour when we were in the area. When we arrived we were told there would be a wait and we had to wait outside until there was another availability. The tour itself was informative and interesting. We got to try several wines we wouldn't have been able to try otherwise. We bought a few bottles and some items from the gift shop before heading home. If you are in the area and like wine, I would suggest taking a visit here.
Totally recommended! Great experience, excellent wine!
Fabulous views. Great wine and beer. Wonderful servers.
Wine tasting is great (8 free tastings and 3 more with big pours for only $5 or $10 to take the wine glass home!) wide selection of merch, wines are completely affordable and delicious. Staff was great. Highly recommend and will be back again.
The food on the top floor is amazing, an the waitress was as sweet as ever!!!
The staff was friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable and excited about the wines. It was an enjoyable experience. I'd recommend it to those who love wine.
We love coming to this establishment especially the “Cellar’s Upstair” area - third floor restaraunt / bar area. The staff out in patio is tier 1, meaning these ladies truly go above and beyond to ensure everything asked for is superb, to our likings, taking the time to explain the difference on flavor and ideally, just being awesome staff! Because of this, we come here often, the ladies at the bar are awesome! We came today, took the elevator straight to third floor and the weather, environment... it’s relaxing! Long story short, good place, good vibes, good everything! Special thanks to; Caroline ,Annie and Zoe!
The free wine tasting was great. Ended up buy a bottle of wine, paid $10 for this extra 2 wine taste that included a wine glass ingraved with the winery name, one of the spouts they used to pour the wine as it was nice, and a Gatorade for my daughter ha. I would recommend u stop in to taste the wine if your in the area. Staff is great, very friendly and even joked with us. Would go again
Was trying to get the attention of worker who's standing in front of me unoccupied. He ignores me after 4 times I asked for help. My wife...being white and possessing a soft voice in some what of a loud checkout line calls for his attention once and gets an instant reply. Afterwards she directs him to answer my question. To which I ask my question only to be met with no eye contact as he only addresses her in response to the question. She walks off and says tell my husband. He glances quickly at me speaks his peace than walks off to another corner of the room and stands there literally red in the face. Disrespect and discrimination is real on all fronts. Apparently as well in this otherwise fine establishment.
Nice tour it was much busier than the distillery next door but not too bad line still keep moving, it was also a Memorial Day weekend. We did the free tasting and liked the vintners red.
I have worked there for 9 years and continue to enjoy every aspect of my job!!!!! Come visit us soon!
We dined on the rooftop. Always good food. So relaxing.
Dave was an awesome tour guide and had a lot of information for a wine newby. Very enjoyable and informative. If you don't know what you like, you will walk out with 4 bottles. Well I did. :)
This place is really Great place to do wine tasting or buy their delicious wine..My favorite is the red and rosa.. All of their wines are incredible..
It was free and self guided! Loved the wine too! Very friendly staff too!
Awesome place great tasting wines actually bought three different bottles to take home with us
I wouldn't call this a tour, very short and very limited selection. The employees weren't friendly. Some seemed more friendly to white customers.
There's alot to buy in the shop from wine to spices and free tastings too!
The free wine tasting is excellent! The tour is kinda cool but I am unconvinced that the fermentation vessels you walk over on the wooden walkway are still in use. We noticed that all of the lids were open. Still, it was cool to see the size of the vessels and I would recommend the tour. Their wines are reasonably priced, too ($10-$20)!
Loved it. Loved outdoor seating on roof top.
There is really too much to mention. The food is outstanding (recommend the turkey sandwich), the drinks are amazing even when I thought I didn't care for wine much, and live music all the time. Sitting on the rooftop on a breezy Florida day is a MUST.
Live music and roof top bar were perfect for a beautiful night out! There was room to dance and their sangrias are incredible! Great for a date night!
Haley was friendly and courteous, thank you for your kindness. Hope to see you soon. Great lunch and wine choices.
It's a winery with excellent ???? The free samples don't hurt either. Seriously, I buy most of my wine there.
I am still talking about my experience there in 2005. What an awesome time. My car was being worked on so I had most of the day to kill. Took a bus there and came back with 2 cases. Loved it. First class all the way!
Did the free wine tasting and had a good experience.
Has been on our list since we moved here. Was excited about the roof top dining. The atmosphere did not disappoint but the menu was disappointing for a winery. Burgers, hotdogs a few nice starters. Ordered baked brie, was wayyy too jammy, do not recommend. I had burger and fries, both very greasy, fried NOT crispy. Beef did not taste like a good quality meat. My husband had turkey sandwich and chips. The chips were good. As for wine... If you have a pallet for sweet wines then you will like this. We will take this off our list, very disappointing.
I've been TO the place 3 times but only been able to park once. It's a nice tour, shop, and experience if only there was parking.
Fun place to visit. Free wine tasting. Then relax up stairs for appatizers and wine.
I have been to San Sebastian a couple of times and the tour was great. The wine tasting was fun and my favorite is their Rosa.
Great wine. The roof top is very beautiful.
Great customer service. Wine tastings we r great. Not a bad wine in the house
It was very tasty. Good wines
The winery is great and the wines delicious but don’t be fooled by their offer to ship product to you. In July I visited, loved the wine so I ordered 8 bottles while at the winery to be shipped to my home in Virginia Beach. UPS contacted me within a few days with a delivery date during the week and let me know I would have to be there to sign for the package. UPS will not provide a delivery time unless you provide them with additional personal information that they most certainly share with third parties. I waited from 9:00AM until they arrived at 7:30PM, missing an entire day of work. The wine had been in the delivery truck all day in 100+ degree heat. I estimate each bottle was 95-105 degrees (but may have been hotter) as I unpacked them. To date, I have opened 3 of the 8 bottles, they were all undrinkable, the tase is sour and vinegar like. They are nothing like what we tasted in St. Augustine! The process was a total let down and waste of my money. I blame the shipping process and the heat but ultimately it’s the winery’s fault because this is the delivery vehicle they chose. I recommend you fly your wine home with you or order shipments during cooler months. I also recommend you do visit the winery, it’s beautiful and the wines are delicious as they’re meant to taste.
Excellent time at the winery. A free tour is provided and wine tasting after the tour. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Everyone was very friendly and nice. I would highly recommend the tour and their wine.
LOVED the wines! No wonder they’ve won several awards. Absolutely delicious. We bought a case and are looking forward to our next trip back to St. Augustine.
Visited with family and friends saturday night on a rooftop with live music. Nice pleasant crowd and pleasant staff. My family and i ordered the Red V wine and peach & mango sangria.
Visited this winery for my birthday. Participated in the wine tasting. It was nice and informative. Overall I enjoyed the wine tasting and the information shared about wine in general. The wine prices are good and they have plenty of wine accessories in the store that are reasonably priced. I must give accolades to the staff. A lady fell on some poorly marked steps outside the building and the attention to her the staff gave was tremendous; while at the same time they kept the crowd inside busy as not to focus on what was going on outside. They handled this emergency situation with care, confidence, and grace. Great job. You deserve the 5 stars for that alone.
Tasted the Chard at the Reef and decided to go to the winery. Bought the Chard and Cab but the Vintners Red is aweful. Like a sweet jam, disgusting. Get rid of it.
Wine tasting! Great staff, good wine, really good prices. The port #12 is amazing!
Everything was perfect. There was live music and the food was delicious. The portion sizes were just enough and not overwhelming. I haven't had a chance to do a tour yet and will definitely be returning.
Truly enjoyed the tour and wine and sherry tasting was amazing!
(Disclaimer: Central FL visitor here for a trip. Only did tour and tasting on 1st floor). Despite arriving LATE TO THE TOUR, we were STILL PERMITTED THE TASTING. Therefore I only expected 4 samples… NOT 10! (Although it AMOUNTED TO A MERE SPLASH… YAY). Besides the typical, they EVEN FEATURED ROSA, SHERRY, AND A PORT! Unfortunately WE FLEW THROUGH THE TASTING I didn’t have time to ponder the flavors. One day I’d love to take the free tour. My brief encounter with the 3RD FLOOR REVEALED A LARGE, COMFY AREA partially open to the sky with great views of the town while you sip some drinks.
Very nice place to visit the tour was phenomenal and the wine was delicious. Can't wait to visit again!
Free tasting. Great wines. Reasonable prices. Go to the Rooftop restaurant. Good food, wine and views.
Great place with good wines. The wine was reasonably priced and never forced you to by anything. The tour should have better signage leading you to all the tastings. The Rose is the best muscadine wine I've ever had. Rooftop bar is excellent with even better views.
Very nice place short tour but nice
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They were very knowledgeable. It was truly a pleasure to have visited and I plan to visit again in the future. If you are a fan of Lakeridge wine (or wine in general) or are in the St. Augustine area this is a must visit place and will be worth your time!
A fun Winery only 5 minutes from Old Town in St Augustine Florida. Sampled a variety of wines from muscadine to dry Cabernet to creamy sherry. The winery had a BOGO sale going on, and we purchased one case of 12 mix and match, and got a second case free. Would highly recommend a visit if you're in the Saint Augustine area.
Awesome Band... Carpetbaggers. More talent than can be believed. Terrific, attentive servers. Nice menu.
Very unimpressed with the service. We called ahead from Jacksonville and were told to come - turned away at door rudely due to overfull
What a fun time! Staff was great. You won't be disappointed. Go on the tour, it's free and you get to enjoy 6 different tastings. The bottle prices in the gift shop is very reasonable. Loved it! Will go back
Great local winery with tastings
Free wine tasting! Such a cute little place. Highly recommend!
loved the Reggae band on Saturday ! King Eddie and Pili Pili. Good beer selection and great views of the town. I'll be back soon.
Very good wine tasting. The restaurant was just decent.
Great wine samplings. The servers were great friendly, and funny. Shop was nice. their wines were tasty so thats what really matters in the end.
Great tour and 8 free wine samples! They were very good and not pretentious. Left with four bottles.
Love this place...nice variety of sweet to dry wines - something for everyone!
Friendly, great free tasting of 10 different wines :)
If you like sweet wines, this is the winery for you. I prefer dryer wines, but learning about their unique grape choice- the muscadine grape, provides a truly unique flavor profile. There is also a beautiful rooftop restaurant that helps ease your stress as you bask in the sun drinking wine.
Great tastings! They have signs that have suggestive pairings. One very nice gentleman gave us a tasting tip: never judge a wine on the first sip, always wait until about the third sip to fully envelope your taste buds. Great advice ????
We were very disappointed. Our first time there. It was a self guided tour...we had no idea what to look at. We stopped at the wine sampling booths and these were some of the most unfriendly people we've seen here in St Augustine. They didn't seem very willing to give out samples. Only one of them really taught us anything. Didn't get to try the food. We didn't stay long.
Nice to visit good wines ????
We went on a day when the tour was self guided because of a holiday but the wine was great and it was cool
Wine tasting was the best part. Learned a lot too. Zane was a wonderful leader for our tour and tasting.
Truly excellent wine, extremely friendly vibe and and a nice walk through wine tasting experience. No cost. The wine is divine, all of it, and very reasonable prices to boot!
The free wine tour is a must every time I am in the area! Rooftop has a great view and cheeseboard as well.
Only good winery in Florida. We've been looking for seven years and finally found one. Food and wine were both great. Will definitely return if we are in the St Augustine area again.
Learned alot from San Sebastian Winery. Was a good tour and the wine is very good. I have been to some out in California this one was the best on education and wine. We will be back we are locals and are happy we are. Thank you and keep up the awesome work.
Love their wines, their gift baskets, Their personnel. The only place I shop at for my wines
I have been on the tour here and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have bought a lot of wine there when visiting St. Augustine and I love the Vintner Reserve wine. However, I order some wine recently to be send to a relative as a gift. It was sent to me at the billing address instead of my relative at the shipping address. Once I received the confirmation in an email the wine was already in Miami UPS building where I live instead of in Virginia where it should have gone. I call the next day that shipping was open, spoke to someone who assured me it was rerouted. It still arrived at my house that night. I have made two more phone calls, each time promised a call back which I did not get. I am trying my fourth call today. Even thought the tour and store are pleasant I cannot say anything good about their customer service for online orders. I feel like they don't seem to care much about correcting their mistake. Addendum: My next call to the winery put me in touch with a very nice employee by the name of Mallory who not only helped but took care of everything while we were on the phone. They shipped a new order to the correct address and allowed me to keep the wine that came to me by mistake.
Staff is super friendly! Wine tour is a must. My twin sister and I vacationed in St. Augustine and this place was probably our favorite. We definitely enjoyed our experience here!
Awesome staff! The tour was amazing and all of the wines were terrific! Would definitely visit again.
Great tasting wine! Nice little place and you get a taste test???? brought home a bottle for later use???????? Definitely stop by when you are in St. Augustine.
We went for the Winery tour recommended by my mom. We checked the website "Complimentary Tours and Wine Tasting run about every 20-25 minutes, lasting Approximately 45minutes in length and offered seven days a week." When we arrived this was a 'self guided tour' aka walk from spot to spot and get a sip of various wines w/o any information on the wines or the winery. We tried to call ahead to check, but could never get a person on the line. The folks pouring the tastings just stood, did not interact with us or anyone else. No talking and very curt answers to questions.Would NOT recommend. The wine was good the Tour was soo poor.
After having been to many wineries I was not very impressed with this one. We were refused a sampling of one of the wines that I normally purchase. The line is pushed through as quickly as possible. I normally purchase multiple bottles for myself and as gifts for family but after the disappointing way we were treated we left without buying.
Amazing staff who were kind and knowledgeable. Wine was amazing. Definitely a place to stop to buy/try wine
Nice Rooftop patio with Live music, wine, and easy sharable plates.
Excellent free wine-tasting tour. You get to sample 8 to 10 wines, or as many of those as you want. Last tour starts at 4'50, we didn't have a reservation, just walked in. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and humorous. Some of the wines are made with a native Florida grape, so they are quite sweet (they also have a couple of drier wines), they have red, white and rose. There is quite a large store downstairs with special offers. An absolute must if you like wine and you're in St Augustine or nearby.
Good tour of different types of wines tasting..
Great place, great wines and staff and also great gift items
Wine wasn't any good and the "lady" at the tasting counter was just awful. They get a star for nice decor though.
Free tastings! Wine is sweet but lower quality. It's fine as long as you don't expect too much.
Free parking, perfect spot to take the dates. Careful about getting too drunk the police station is next door.
Amazing wine tasting, outdoor seating, and live music. Check out San Sebastien and the St Augustine Distillery right down the street.
We love San Sebastian Winery as a place to hang out at night, listen to live music and view the lights of St Augustine. The west side of the roof-top bar area provides wonderful sunsets. San Sebastian Winery is also our go-to place for closing gifts! They have a great selection of pre-made gift baskets that are perfect year-round!
Really nice wine tasting tour for free! Great environment to try new wines
I missed the tour by 5 minutes, so I waited for the tasting. Not disappointed. Very knowledgeable. I learned a lot and I mean a lot.. Great wines????
Great spot to experience a classy, fun and best of all free wine tasting. Great staff with lots of knowledge and friendly personality.
I have to share with you this has been one of my favorite wine tour and tastings. The wine ????demonstration was informative and entertaining ???? at the same time. You’ve got to get the lighthouse bottle wine makes a nice sangria if your a sweet wine ???? lover ???? If your going for the weekend be sure to check out the roof top wine bar ????
Come for the free wine tasting and stay for the live music on the rooftop!
The people need to visit this place, they have outstanding wines and xtra bubble delicius champagne. Great service, tour, store, prices and taste jaja. Visit and enjoy the amazing place
So first of all, this is definitely a delicious place for wine and food! There’s a restaurant upstairs on the third floor that serves great food, scenery, and varieties of wines from downstairs! What also blew my mind is how they support the endangered monarch butterfly with native milkweed in front of the building! It’s nice to see businesses supporting endangered wildlife! Great job guys!
I was at the rooftop bar last night and got the meat and cheese platter. I was sick before I left the building. As soon as I got rid of it I was fine....I don't mean to condemn the place because I had a nice time. I just won't ever eat any of those deli sliced meats at a bar again.
San Sebastian has some of my favorite wine. It's more on the sweeter side made with muscadines. They offer free tours and tastings. There is also a nice rooftop bar that has live music and a gift shop with some pretty neat wine accessories.
Love this winery, love the vintners red and white
Love their wines. I only drink sweet and they are great. Tour is very nice, staff friendly, beautiful old building. It's our favorite winery. The Port wine is fabulous, especially the one in the genie style bottle. We had to talk my husband into trying it, he's never liked Port. Well, he bought 2 bottles! We just had a glass with cheese and fruit and are very happy.
Great learning experience with delicious wine. We liked the Rosa, Cab Sav and the Vintners White
The atmosphere at the Cellar on the Rooftop was nice. The music, wine and service were outstanding. The food was okay.
Fave places to look out over St. Augustine. Roof top area is a great place to spend some time. Get the pretzel sticks with beer cheese dip.
Organized wine tasting, awesome food terrace and very reasonable wine prices... everyone very pleasant !!
Sweet wine stewardess kathrine, Katrina I'm sorry you were amazing...even when it was required...thx for a fun day
Great tasting! I love that we can come up to the patio and hang out. I broke one of my wine glass we got from you guys so we will definitely be back for more.
One of my top places to visit in Saint Augustine. The wine tasing is free and there's an opportunity to check out some select wines for a small fee. Make time to do the roof top bar and gift shop. Lots to see and do at this can't miss stop in one of Floridas best cities.
Informational wine making process and tasting. Also has roof top hangout / restaurants. If you are looking for tour of actual wine making process than this place is not it.
Good place to visit. Has a variety of wines that run from a little sweet to dry. The cream sherry is excellent as well. A lot of wine related accessories are available also.
Wonderful experience!
Fantastic place to spend an afternoon, great people, great wines.
We had a great time here! The tour was really just a video, but it had great information, so I didn’t mind! The wines were all great, don’t be afraid of the muscadine grapes, they’re sweet but not overly sugary like other sweet wines. The sweetness really comes from the fruity side. I would also recommend adding the paid tasting if you like fuller bodied reds, it was well worth the $5 ($10 if you want the glass).
This was one of my favorites while visiting St. Augustine on our honeymoon. We did the wine tasting tour and also went upstairs to the Cellar for a bit to eat & drinks. The food was great, the sangria was great, the service was great (our server was wonderful)!! We loved it so much we came back another night for food and drinks. We can not wait to come back !
All of the staff members are so friendly! Great wine selections and really neat little place in downtown St. Augustine! Left with 4 bottles of wine that I will definitely enjoy! Highly recommend for wine lovers!
Wine tasting was amazing!!! We walked out with 2 bottles of wine!! Definitely a much checked out place in St. Augustine!!!
We love this place every time we come we always leave with lots of wine. You will enjoy the shop/tour and the wine
This was our first wine tour/tasting and it was an informative yummy experience. This place is definitely different from every other winery across the country. They use native grapes from the St. Augustine area that were discovered back in the 1500's. The people that work here are great, the history and knowledge of wines were amazing and the wine was super tasty.
I guess I was confused on what they meant by a "winery tour." I was expecting a tour guide, learning about the winery, and a tasting at the end. It was a self-guided tour through the gift shop with little explanation up front when you walk through the door. The "wine tasting" was walking up to a bar and jumping in on already existing tastings going on. No one behind the bar seemed interested in welcoming us, sharing info about the wine, or even pouring wine. It was disappointing. I was really looking forward to this tour. Yet, I see other people mention in their reviews about their tour guide being great. It's possible it's something you need to schedule in advance to ensure you don't do the self-guided tour if that's not your thing. However, their popular "reds" taste good and they offer free parking at the winery.
This is one of our favorite places to purchase wine. We highly recommend the San Sebastian Red!
The wine tour is very informative and teaches you the history of the wine making in Florida. The tour has a free tasting at the where you get to try a variety of wines.
Great experience. Highly recommend the Port & the Vintners Red, if you like Sweet wines. Nathan was extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. Staff on site was very helpful.
This place is the best place to learn about wine. I go here alot when I am in town. This place should be #1 in St. Augustine hot places to go
I really enjoyed our visit here. The tour is self guided but the tour attendants were very helpful and the winery provided a guide to the wines you taste on the tour. I believe we had a total of seven samples during the tour - all good but the cream sherry and port were particular favorites. The winery is a stop on at least one of the trolley tours, but we walked from downtown and it really wasn't a bad walk. It is a very short walk from the Whetstone Chocolate Tour and the St. Augustine Distillery.
I had so much fun doing both the free and paid for tastings here! It was crowded, but I never had to wait long and never felt ignored. Everyone who was serving the wine was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable too. Really superb spot. Both the tasting as well as the bottle I left with were fairly priced. I would definitely come back and bring friends!
Nice little hidden gem. I love the atmosphere and service
Unfortunately yesterday my fiancée and I arrived later than anticipated. We were never greeted upon entering and after approaching the person manning the register to ask about tours we were met with a curt “we close at 6” as opposed to an “I’m sorry we’ve already completed our last tour for today” or even a simple “we aren’t offering any more tours today, but we’d be happy to offer you a tasting!” My fiancée is a fan of San Sebastián, so we are hoping to be met with better guest service during our visit later today.
San Sebastian winery was an amazing visit. There is a free tour that was absolutely free, it included an informational video, a tour of the facility, and a FREE wine tasting. If I said I didn't have a slight buzz after leaving I would be lying. I was not a fan of a few of the wines sampled, but that did not take away from the experience. If you visit St.Augustine, you are 21+, and you like free wine samplings this is a "can not miss" stop for an adult vacation.
Absolutely wonderful winery. The staff is very nice. A must stop for wine lovers!
The wine is sub-par, tastes low in quality, and sherry and port, although sweet, taste water-down. So, no, I can't agree with the "high" ratings this place got. The only wine I like is the Rosa, which I went to buy on New Year's eve, but this Paula, who was doing the wine-tasting, really really pissed me off, so I'll never look at this winery again. I've asked Paula three times for a tasting glass, I made eye contact with her, and she acknowledged my request, but every time proceeded to help and chat with other guests but me....The third time I asked, she saw a woman next time without a glass, said to her, "Oh, I see you are without a glass," got her the glass, poured her wine.....and went to the other side of the bar. By then, I was thinking if it was personal . I wasn't nasty or mean to her, I was standing there patiently, and she knew that! There are words for women like Paula who discriminate against other women like that, and we all know these words..... but it'd be impolite for me to mention them here )) I waited two more minutes and went to speak to the manager. This guy, unfortunately forgot his name, started giving me all these explanations and excuses for Paula's behavior. How she never had a complaint in 8 years she's worked there, which wasn't doing anything for me, since she was being nasty to ME. Also, most people don't care to take time to speak to a manager or to write a review, they either get their stuff or don't, and walk away. But this "manager" actually told me to "go ahead and write your review". What an unprofessional and lousy customer service this company has! So, here I am, writing it. I went to ABC, just down the block from them, and got a much better Moscato D'Asti for the same price! It's not like San Sebastian are the only ones who got business here. They are just a "tourist-trap" organization....and where is the vineyard? Reader, I'm telling you straight out, you won't be missing out on much when you buy your wine elsewhere.
We’ve been on the (free) tour before, and done a tasting (also free) and had a decent experience, but just not been a fan of the sweet wines produced in Florida. We are happy to report that San Sebastián has upped their game. First off, our tour guide (Brian ) was very informative not only on the tour but in conducting the tasting as well. As for the wines, they have outsourced grapes from the west coast and are now able to produce a competent Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Sirah, and Pinot Grigio. Overall, an improved experience and worthwhile stop in St. Augustine.
We loved this place! Good information, good wine, good customer service EXCEPT our tour guide Paola was simply rude and annoyingly so. Throughout the tour, she consistantly made rude comments to other guests, couldnt even give out information correctly when it came to the educational aspect, and finally when my neice presented her ID (it was her 21st bday) Paola practically accused her of having a fake ID and embarrassed us completely in front of everyone else on the tour. We did end up buying a couple bottles of their wine, which was very reasonably priced, however if we ever return, we would refuse ro tour with the same guide.
They do a good job. Staff was friendly and everything was well organized. Restuarant not open cost them a star. But it was a very good experience.
Love this winery! The selection of wines, the place is really nice. Live music, excellent service, great atmosphere. We had an amazing time!!!
Vintners Red was a lot less expensive than I thought. My mom will love the bottle I bought for her.
Tour and tasting is hurried and the process of wine making is not explained very well. Half of tour is video of interview with owner.
Love the taste of muscadine wines!!! Quick and easy to tour, taste and buy! Affordable, delicious wine!
Love the live music and the atmosphere. Sagrias were great and the food was tasty. We got the salsa and chips, and the cheese tray so if you are expecting a full meal, eat before you go or plan to go to a real restaurant when you leave but I enjoyed myself.
We had a pleasant visit and staff were friendly. They are doing an abbreviated, social distancing wine tasting so a little sad to see they are not doing the history, just the samples.
The winery had a very nice tasting tour. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. The roof top is a very nice place to relax and enjoy wine and music. Didn’t eat on this visit.
Great tour and wine tasting experience. Tour guides were very friendly and nice. It was the young man's first tour and he did a great job. Thank you for a great experience and complimentary wine!
It was crowded but tour was fun and bottles were well priced. Bought about 4 and drank 2 already definitely recommend stopping by and purchasing bottles will be a no brainer????
Wonderful evening on the roof with sandwiches and great wine. Next is love music. Come go wrong here.
This is fun for non discerning tourists, but the wine is of abysmal quality and the food (served with an admittedly nice view) is mediocre at best.
Been there before, the wife stocked up on the wine supply. You get to taste all their wines.
Should try their wine tasting tour. It's great.
i didnt have any wine but the bathroom was nice
Other than the rude guy at the wine bar downstairs it was perfect. We went upstairs to the small wine bar where the lady was super helpful and gave us great recommendations based upon what we said we liked. We even had a chat about cigars paired with port for a few. The wines are tasty though most are on the sweet side coming from Washington wine country if you like dry try the unoaked chardonnay, pinot grigio, cab sav and petit sirah. I will buy them if i come across the winery again.
(Request- PLEASE GET RID OF YOUR STRAWS or replace with something ocean/eco friendly or only offer when asked. Even when I’ve asked for no straw, I still kept getting them in every drink. It’s overkill for a place that is so near the river and ocean.) The sangria and live music were fantastic. (Live music was TJ Brown who was amazing.) Food isn’t consistent (loved the caesar salad and dry rub wings last time, only liked the ceasar this time.) Had to send my wings back to be cooked more and I don’t even think the dry rub I asked for was on them. Got served our food with no utensils and had to wait a few minutes for them. Service is meh. Not the friendliest or most on point. After 4x here, I think I’m officially over it. Unless I’m craving the sangria or TJ Brown is playing!
We had an amazing tour and also we had the tasting everything free. Wines are worth the time and money. I loved their Cabernet Sauvignon.
Excellent selection of wines and a fantastic roof top lounge. We started going to this winery and rooftop about 4 years ago. We’ve always had great service and they have fantastic bands playing upstairs on the weekends. The staff upstairs really take good care of each table they serve and you know they actually care because they will take time to talk with you. Every now and then the parking can get difficult. That usually happens when there are events happening in St Augustine or when the winery has there awesome BOGO sale. It’s worth being patient on those days though!
Our first time there. We will definitely be back, great little tour. The best part was the restaurant on the 3rd floor. Great music, good food and our server Meghan was super sweet! Great night all around. Thank you!
Was a fun experience. Due to social distancing it may have been shorter than usual. Was a bit confusing at first but great wine. Was told the best Cream Sherry ever tasted. Great pricing.
This place was recommended to me as a must see spot in St. Augustine and I'm so glad I stopped to check it out. The Vitners Red is one of my all time favorite wines now, I can't get enough of it. The tour was a lot of fun and I enjoyed tasting the different kinds of wine that they make, every single one was incredible.
Great food and awesome music! I was here during the spring and was able to enjoy the winery tour (the creme sherry was amazing!) and jam on the rooftop with a live band! The music was easy listening and the atmosphere is almost carribean. Feels like you're on an instant vacation outside of the US. In addition, the sangria is the best that you will ever have, with sliced fruit inside. Best place ever, visit soon and often!
Love this place I celebrate my birthday here every year
This place is top notch. Great time and great wine. Don't miss out on the restaurant upstairs. Great staff, food and drinks! We will be back again!!!
I have been to St. Augustine probably 50-60 times. Most included going to the winery. I'm so happy Publix sells your Rosa wine. It's delicious. The winery is amazing.
Very attentive and pleasant. Nice selection at reasonable price.
Excellent small winery nestled in downtown Saint Augustine, Florida. A true local business, they utilize local products to make their wines. Very interesting how they use the barrels to age the wines. For instance they work with another local business (Saint Augustine Distillery) to use their barrels to flavor their port. The sweeter grapes are grown in the region, where other grapes are brought in from North Carolina and other areas that grown those type grapes. Highly recommended to visit when you are in the area. Thanks for the free wine tasting.
Lovely wines and shop!
Some really good wine on offer during the self-guide tasting tour, I was really happy that they also included Ruby Port and Cream Sherry in addition to regular wines. There wasn't anything interesting to learn inside without a guide, it seems to be mostly about the wine tastings.
Mediocre. But it's not like we should be expecting good wine from Florida, considering the weather. So, given that, it's a good way to kill an hour or two.
Good place and has good wines. Wine tasting experience is a plus.
What a great tour! Each station server new their stuff. They were able to answer every question. Parents, it's not a place for children.
This is a must go in San Agustín !!! The tour is Amazing. The wine is great! And best of all was the tour guide Paola. Thank you very much!!!!!
We came here to take part in the free wine tour when we were in the area. When we arrived we were told there would be a wait and we had to wait outside until there was another availability. …
Nice outing for a Saturday!
What a beautiful place to listen to live music under the starsout on the deck! We enjoyed the very informative tour too!
A must see if in the area. Great tour, wine tasting and gift shop. We enjoyed our afternoon at the winery and will be back to do it again
Fun experience! Especially with my Mom & her Sisters
A little history, a little science, a classy wine tasting. I absolutely love this place. In the evening head upstairs for my favorite white sangria and chips while listening to live music.
Just not my type of wines. Fantastic venue however.
Beautiful place to have lunch and tasting.
What a great place -you get to take a free, self-guided wine tasting tour- what's not to love!? Even my bf who doesn't drink wine enjoyed his time here. My personal favorite is the rooftop bar. They had a live singer on Friday and she was AMAZING!!
Rooftop dining and live music. Great atmosphere, good appetizers and small plate menu. Call for reservations because seating is limited. Definitely worth a visit. Stop by early if you want to take the wine tour and tasting.
The lady handing out cups for the complimentary tasting wasn’t wearing a mask, and when we asked why she wasn’t masked, she said “masks are optional here. It’s kinda hard to wear a mask if you’re going to be tasting wines.” Not sure why she’d be maskless if she’s not the one tasting the wines. Didn’t feel safe, so we left.
This was such a nice place to visit for Memorial Day Weekend. Thanks to all the Yelp reminders about visiting this winery, I decided to take the drive St. Augustine. I was not disappointed in this experience at all. I mean they have a lovely free wine tasting experience to let you find the right wine for yourself. This to me was excellent. They also have an upstairs roof top seating. I didn’t get a chance to go up there unfortunately, so I can’t write my opinion on that area, but the other areas that I did see were not disappointing. I would definitely make my way back here a few more times. They have a lovely selection of wines that would suit any palate.
Free wine tour! ????. Definitely recommend. They give out wine samples and educate you about them.
One of the best winery so far. Really enjoyed myself.
Had a fun experience on their wine tasting tour and it is free, For a reason. Because they got some bombass wine that you would end up purchasing some anyway
Parking was not exactly what we were expecting. Even still we were to excited not to go. Once we were in we went straight to the top. Ordered food and my Reuben was amazing!! They get an A+ for that. Please do not get me started on service, but since we are already started everyone needs a bit of a tune up in this department. Pretty much your typical millennial bartender crowd. One I'm particular that needs a major attitude adjustment went by the name of Nany. Absolutely disgusting. (Possibly Spanish with Gold Aviator Glasses). Every single Bartender needs to listen a bit better, but for the most part are pretty fake at being nice. Business seems to be well run. If it were not for the one and done tourism attraction this place wouldn't survive. I strongly do not recommend finishing your day here as you will be in a negative mood once you leave.
Best day ever!! Highly recommend!!
Super excellent experience, very friendly staff. Lots of parking. Wine taste experience is excellent
I am sadly to young to drink. But I went here for the free live music with my grandmother. They do free tours during the day, and have samples. And it’s kid friendly! They serve a grape juice for those underaged. The beer cheese was amazing, and I loved the entire experience.
The place was slightly crowded. It is one of the trolley stops so my husband and I decided to go inside to tour and do the free tastings. We did not purchase anything.
We just took the "tour" and it was nothing more than checking in at the tour desk, get a small shot cup, a map and wander around on a path to different tasting stations. Prepare to get lost on this tour, learn nothing about wine making or see anything related to the making of wine. Taste wine and buy is their goal. zzz.z.z.z.z. But it was free to walk through their building/store.its just called a "tour". And someone said free parking as their highlight, walmart has free parking to.duh
Very nice place to visit, you can taste and buy wine of your choice
Staff was very friendly and informative. Wine samples were great too!!!
My wife and I love doing the wine tasting... I will say over the years the staff that serve you the samples used to educate you on what your getting now they just say the name and pour it and ask you to move on.. pit the charm and personality back into it!!
A visit is well worth it for the great tour and good flavorful wines. The tour guides are kind and knowledgeable about how the wine is made.
Nice winery, but they bring in people late and repeat information during your. Basically a video not very good your.
Fun time. Good Tasting and experienced staff.
This place is really cool plus you get free wine at the end of the tour. As for the tour guide Maria she has the best personality.
Take the tour taste some delicious wine and learn about the process of making wine in a cool tasting room. We enjoyed our trip and our wine even more!
Great wine selection. Little pricey but cool place.
8 yes 8 free tastings worth the stop and if your like me spending a day touring and tasting will make you crave a nice light lunch. See Paul at the roof top bar where he pours a mean sangria and a side salad for the low price of 10$ Ceasar side is fantastic. Bacon and homemade crotuns and dressing. Live music and a nice breeze makes this a must visit in St Augustine!
The wine tasting was mildly disappointing. They advertise this thorough, educational tour, but apparently on the weekends they just let you wander from station to station unattended. Some of the wine was okay but some was WAY too sweet. I prefer sweet wines, but it tasted like grape juice.
Nice fun place. They give u the full tours. Let u sample all the favors before you but. Left with 3 bottles at a great price. Very friendly nice n knowledgeable staff..
Vintners Red was a lot less expensive than I thought. My mom will love the bottle I bought for her.
What a great staff! Even during the crazy was of covid they were energetic and informative! Everyone was happy to help with any questions. Shawn helped me at check out and gave me some ideas for pairings from what I purchased! We will be back!
1st visit was in 2018 and loved it then, loved it now .. they have adapted well to covid. They still have the free tasting and the tour but with slight modifications. Their wine tastings are slightly different but we were greeted very promptly and shown to a table where the lady behind the desk served us 3 wines .. 2 white, 1 red in a small plastic cup. We were asked to hold on to the cup for the rest of the tour and to receive the other free samples. Next, upstairs, they had another station where we were served another 3 .. a rosa, a white, and a red .. ended up loving the Whitner's white and bought 3 bottles for $11 each. Next, another station where we had a Sherry and Port to taste. Finally, the last station was a paid one .. $10 for 4 .. 2 white, 2 red OR $5 for 2 white or $10 for 2 white and you keep the glass OR $5 for 2 red or $10 for 2 red and you keep the glass. Since this was Christmas week, they had a spiced warm drink .. the final tasting.
Our first time there. We will definitely be back, great little tour. The best part was the restaurant on the 3rd floor. Great music, good food and our server Meghan was super sweet! Great night all around. Thank you!
My wife and I visited on Feb. 8th. We had a great experience and Victoria was fabulous. Worth your time if you like craft wine.
2nd time here while visiting my mother at Christmas Time. Tours and tasting is a must for first time visits. We were just in the St. Augustine for the day for shopping and beach time so stopped in for some drinks and snacks at the Roof Top Wine Bar. Good selection of all their wine offerings and luckily beers on tap and bottles for those that don't prefer wine. Good selection of apps and sandwiches gor a quick bite. Bartenders are very friendly and attentive. The bartender we had remembered me from our first visit from last year at Christmas time. She has such a great memory for someone that must see thousands of tourists throughout the year. Santa even made a surprise visit to see the youngest and oldest of our group today.????????????????????????????
Free wine tasting and wines are pretty good. However, the best part of it is the restaurant/bar upstairs. Food is amazing. Gotta try the burger! Live music.
Great winery great wines
We took my daughter here for one stop on her bacherlette party. Free wine tasting was very nice. After the tour as we were looking around in gift shop they came and gave my daughter and I a bottle of our favorite wine. It was simply amazing. They were so nice to all of us. Definitely will be returning..
Free wine, but we didn't even learn how wine is made, we think it might have something to do with grapes???
My wife and I love this place, great place to sample different wines and they have a awesome gift shop and restaurant.
I was not a wine drinker at ALL before coming to San Sebastian Winery. That has all changed and I walked out with 6 bottles of wine. This is a must do for anyone visiting St. Augustine.
A highlight of our trip to St. Augustine. We toured the winery, tried about 14 different samples of their wine along the way, and kept little score cards to keep track of all the wines. The wife and I took a couple bottles back to the hotel room. San Sebastian makes some of the best wine out there. And you can order online! We like the case sale: sign up for email updates, and every so often, they offer "buy 12, get 12 free." After shipping, the price evens out, but we have 24 incredible bottles of wine for only a few dollars a bottle. That's an investment!
Very informative, we learned alot! And Sue one of the staff people gave us great cooking ideas????
Best wine tasting! Detailed talk and very knowledgeable tour guide.
Probably the most relaxing place I have ever eaten at. Atmosphere and food was awesome. So was the view. They are handling to social distancing and sanitizing very well. Highly recommend giving it a try!
Get a tour and you'll be helped to pick wine you like????
Went on the wine tour with hubby. The staff was knowledgeable and had great suggestions. The man sampling the cream Sherry had interesting recipe ideas to share; adding it to your coffee, in a milkshake, even sauteed vegetables! Highly recommend! Also a good idea not to tour on a completely empty stomach!! Oops!
Incredibly rude. We walked in, they asked if we were there for the tour and tasting. We told them we just wanted to do the tasting and they said the tasting followed the tour but we could just wait at the end in the tasting area. So we went back to wait and encountered the incredibly rude man who demanded we couldn't do a tasting unless we did the tour and accused us of lying. We left without doing a tasting after we walked all the way from downtown. Highly recommend avoiding because they were so incredibly rude!!!!!
Had some great wine to try on the tour. Kind of expected to be shown around where the wine was made but it was still fun none the less.
We come several times a year to pick up several cases of wine. Never gets old, Great place, great atmosphere, great rooftop music and great winery tour!!!!!
Amazing wine tasting. The only downfall is we went on a Monday and upstairs wasn't open.
If you are concerned with mask and social distancing this isn’t the place for you. Some workers wore a mask, like the hostess and our server but some did not. The food runners did not wear a mask. Which is a bit gross being that they are carrying our food in front of their face. It also sad to see the manager at the roof top restaurant not leading by example, and wearing a mask himself. I was so glad he didn’t come up to our table and ask how everything was since he was maskless. I understand that mask can’t be legally mandate anymore. But businesses can still require them, this is not one of those businesses.
The roof has live music on the weekend, great crowd, great wine, right on the water... Fantastic way to spend a weekend night. Definitely recommend
Great tour/tastings and wonderful wines, very reasonably priced. Be sure and stop by.
Great gift shop, free wine tasting. Nice wines!
Great tour and wine tasting. Staff were all great answering questions. Friendly
It was a little crowded considering the holiday weekend, but the lines weren't that bad; especially when you get to sample eight (8) of their wines just by walking through the door. Overall, we had a good time.
Awesome awesome place. Did a short tour and a very lengthy tasting. I learned SO much!!! Our tour guide was a young girl, very friendly, i forgot her name but she was great. We sampled about 6 different wines (for free) and wnded up buying a few bottles. I might add that their bottles are beyond well priced. Never would have imagined id only spend $50 on 4 bottles from such a cool local winery
The food and wine was amazing. Enjoyed the music as well.
My husband and I had such a great experience with the tasting and roof top restaurant. Great wine, beautiful atmosphere and wonderful customer service!
Great tour, free tastings, and great food at their to top restaurant!! Pics taken from roof top.
Wonderful winery! Very friendly staff and delicious wine.
I've been to San Sebastian Winery many times, but the latest was really nice. The wine tasting is much more flexible now, and no tour is required. Taste white wines on the ground level, and go upstairs to sample reds. The staff is very friendly and helpful as always, and prepared our order quickly. Delicious wines and great service!
This place has some good wine that my BF and I really enjoy and it's really close to home, super convenient!!
Nice place, but kind of rushed through the free wine tasting on Sat/Sun. Best time to go for the wine tasting is on the weekdays. Nice wi es especially the port and ruby port.
Amazing wine! Check out the rooftop for great food and entertainment!
