Outstanding wine tasting experience - and wines. Christopher was our personal host and ensured a fun and informative time. Reservations are a must - but you might get lucky and be able to book immediately, as we did. Taste in very elegant surroundings - a couple of libraries in a French-style chateau, paired with gourmet accompaniments prepared by a chef formerly with the Four Seasons in San Francisco. We always enjoy Jordan Cabs and tasting them in this environment was the frosting on the cake. Don't miss this one!
Very relaxing and informative tasting with great wine selection and food pairings.
Very nice!! Out of many choices, Jordan is a very good pick for a visit. Tasting room has food parings if you prefer and the grounds are beautiful as the wines are delicious. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. Highly recommended a visit to Jordan.
The food pairings with their wines are incredible! I attend many of the special events, and the food is always unbelievable. I recently attended a harvest luncheon, and was gobsmacked! Meat loaf wrapped in bacon? Delectable, and I hate meat loaf! Join the Estate Rewards, and you can receive special perks. The Christmas party this year, 2016, had a Russian theme, with the accoutrements to match! Borscht, Caviar, Tchaikovsky music played by strolling musicians, with balalaikas, and pirouetting ballerinas. First class, like all of the events at the spectacular winery.
My husband, our friends and I visited the Jordan Winery in September/2019. This was the first winery/tasting we experienced in Sonoma. Chris lead our wine tasting tour which takes about 3 hours. It was an amazing experience. The tour begins at the main pavilion with fruits and champagne. We’re then lead to the area where the wine is made. Chris thoroughly explained the process and answered our questions. From there the winery’s 15 passenger custom van takes your around the winery. Then we visited the organic garden and tried different fruits and vegetables. The next stop was lakeside where we had a small pairing with their 2014 and 2017 Chardonnay. As we drove through the winery we saw the different stages of the wine making process. The last stop is the most impressive of all. It’s mountain top with a 360 degree view of the surroundings. We experienced the 2006 and 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon with another 2 pairings of cheeses and lamb. Everyone on the tour were impressed by the experience. Most of the participants had already been on quite a number of wine tasting and they just as impressed if not more than we were. I highly suggest the Jordan experience. Cheers!
Beautiful winery and great experience! Food & wine pairings are devine! Our host Stephen was great, knowledgeable and welcoming! Cheers!
We were hosted by Jordan Vineyards and I have to say that the Chateau Block Tasting experience was definitely a highlight of our trip. A gorgeous setting, incredible wine and delicious food. Highly recommend.
We did the library tasting. It was pretty good. Beautiful place. I would have appreciated more information about the wines we were tasting. A final splash of your favorite wine would have been a nice courtesy, especially when your group purchased over 600 dollars in wine bottles. I think they can improve on that.
Best winery. Probably biased because my boyfriend works here. But I look forward to every opportunity that I have to visit the grounds. They're innovative and produce lovely wines.
Jordan Winery is in my top 5 favorite wineries to visit globally. I recently had the pleasure to enjoy their Picnic Lunch Experience and it was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon relaxing on the Estate Chateau lawn enjoying the views, food and wine. Guests were provided with everything needed for the picnic from the moment they arrived. Simply bring yourself. The winery takes care of it all... from the high end blanket, to the picnic basket, to gourmet lunch items to choose from created by the estate chef using local ingredients and of course guests also receive a bottle of wine to enjoy together and a glass of bubbly handed to them as soon as they arrive. Jordan Winery knows how to create a memorable experience for guests!! The service, staff and property is always presented at the highest level of quality. Thank you to the whole team for making my last visit so amazing! Check out the photos! It really was an awesome time. When in Sonoma County, Jordan Vineyards & Winery is a must visit location.
Did the Estate Tour and Tasting and had the best time!! The wine and food were all amazing and the grounds are beautiful. Will definitely be doing this tour again!!
There are literally hundreds (maybe thousands) of wineries you can visit in California. Very few are anything like Jordan. From the classy chateau covered with ivy to the well manicured landscaping, Jordan is a family owned winery that sucks you in so you don't want to leave. Although it might look a bit too classy (read: snooty) it's actually not. They're more laid back now that the younger Jordan family member has taken over. Their various events throughout the year are a good excuse to come check out the awesome view overlooking roughly 1,700 acres of sustainable farmland and vineyards. I've been to Jordan a half dozen times, and every time I leave wondering why I don't go back more. Best time of year to visit IMO is fall because the foliage around the property, in the vineyards and on the walls of the winery are magnificent colors. Definitely a place to visit at least once in your life if you're a wine lover.
Wonderful estate. Very welcoming. For my taste, was a little too "in your face". I'm sure there is a place for those who would prefer the high society, but for someone just visiting that is breathing to wine tasting, it can be a little much
The Estate tour is amazing
My wife and I did a weekend in Napa valley and had the opportunity to do the tour and tasting at Jordan. It was an amazing experience and we had a blast. The estate is beautiful and the main chateau on site is beautiful. The wine was delicious and it is so cool to see how the winery sticks with a spectacular cabernet and a Chardonnay. If you have the opportunity to visit Jordan you definitely should!
Not only is the property and its buildings gorgeous (you feel like you're transported to Italy), but the wine/food pairing experience was great. With some delicious food from local purveyors, and helpful explanations about the wines, along with beautiful views, we had a great time. And it was fun to meet new people who shared the same interests in wine and food. The experience is great with friends, family, or a romantic partner. It's just fun.
I don’t see how a tasting at Jordan could be anything less than 5 stars. A bit on the expensive side but there is a strong logic to that... lovely wines and even lovelier experience!
Lovely winery, knowledgeable hosts. Well worth the visit.
Beautiful estate, wonderful wine, fantastic food. Perfect! What you hope a vineyard experience will be. We had lunch on the terrace paired with their wines.
Jordan Vineyard & Winery is a magical place in Healdsburg that makes you feel as if you’ve been transported to France’s countryside. Their beautiful chateau and manicured gardens are easy on the eyes. I’ve consistently visited Jordan over the years and my experience is wonderful every time! I appreciate their strong attention to detail and warm hospitality! For my birthday, I stayed overnight in one of Jordan’s luxurious suites. A complimentary continental breakfast inspired by garden-fresh ingredients was delivered to my suite - it was divine! Also, round-trip transportation to and from the nearby town of Healdsburg was provided. Whitney was a wonderful guide for the Winery Tour and Library Tasting. We sampled Jordan wines, olive oil, hors d’oeuvre pairings, and more. This past weekend, I attended Christmas at Jordan and it was a party that I’ll never forget! Guests felt as if they were transported to Italy's Renaissance era with a masquerade and a festive feast for the senses - delicious food, fabulous decorations, and live entertainment. Jordan's own caviar, a collaboration with Tsar Nicoulai, paired with blinis and crème fraîche, was a favorite holiday bite! When at Jordan, it's always a good time!
A wonderful vineyard in a wonderful setting. Wines are great and the staff is fantastic. A must visit for wine lovers.
Stunning grounds and hospitality. Wine was good but not earth-shattering. Looks like a great place to have a wedding ????
Simply the best.
This is a beautiful place!
Attended our first picnic day at Jordan!! Could not have asked for a more perfect day!! Sun was shining and the chilled Chardonnay was amazing! Food, staff and wine was exceptional. Can’t wait to come back to celebrate my birthday here!!
The 3 hour tour is a blast.
Everything about this experience was wonderful. From the gorgeous scenery to the awesome wines. Our host was kind and open to questions and didn’t make this wine newbie feel dumb. Highly recommend.
Library tasting with small bites. We tasted and compared Cab from 3 different years.
The wines were good and the library tasting was very enjoyable but I have to say I was expecting more from the wine itself given the price. I would still recommend a visit, they have tours of the property that look really nice. Everything, including their tastings, are by appointment only. From what I hear, appts are tough to come by in the high season so plan ahead.
(Translated) Be careful as it is easy to make a mistake in the entrance to the winery. Reservations are required for tours and tastings. Tasting without reservation is not possible. Because it is on the top of the mountain, the surroundings are very quiet. (Original) ワイナリーへの入り口を間違えやすいので注意。ツアーとテイスティングは予約が必要。予約なしのテイスティングはできません。山頂にあるので周囲はとても静かです。
Jordan is one of those truly special wineries with everything a visitor could hope for — beautiful scenery matched by equally noteworthy wines, plus all kinds of special culinary experiences. It's basically one of Sonoma County's premier places to dine...and not even a restaurant! If you get the chance to enjoy a picnic lunch al fresco on their lawn (they do it a couple times a year), I can't recommend it enough.
Jordan has several great tasting experiences, and the new Chateau Block Tasting that I booked for my last visit met my high expectations. It's so nice to sit on the hilltop overlooking the gorgeous Alexander Valley vineyards that produced the wine that you're drinking and the salumi pairings from Journeyman Meat Co. are first rate. We tasted three different vintages, and our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable in explaining the differences between each wine. You can really pick up on the different tasting notes and understand how well Jordan's Cabernet Sauvignon ages!
Delivered grapes
Beautiful setting in Alexander Valley, one of my favorite places to spend the day. I recommend taking a tour of grounds and spending the day. If you love Cabernet, this ranks on the top of my list
One of the worst winery with operational hours. They are supposed to open until 3:30pm today. I drove up from San Francisco to find out they closed since they had an event yesterday. Update your website if you are going to close on your regular business hours. It is not worth it.
We always have a wonderful and relaxing visit at Jordan. This visit we used some of our points to book a private tasting in the dining room. We were treated with a huge and lovely selection of fruits, nuts, cured meats, and unusual cheeses. It was far too much food for 2 people, and so delicious! We LOVE Jordan wines and weren't surprised when the 2012 cab that we tasted was outstanding. Our hostess Maria was attentive, friendly, and definitely made sure that we were enjoying our experience. Thank you for another great tasting experience!
Everything was excellent
Wonderful tasting experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The estate is absolutely gorgeous. Wine is great. Absolutely delicious unoaked Chardonnay. Worth a visit!
Jordan has expanded the tasting experience to a broader level. When you do the estate tour, you're exposed to the full range of their 500 plus acre venue. They have organic gardens where we got to taste fresh fruits and vegetables, able to taste things during our trip up to the top, and then experienced the full panoramic view from the top, which is pretty stunning. Heather, our guide, was well versed in all aspects of the wine making and wine, as well as very knowledgeable about the estate and its surroundings as well as what it takes to make it run. An excellent experience I would highly recommend.
A majestic experience. Hospitality at a new level. Wow wow wow! Thank you Jordan!
Such a fun tasting and experience! I recently did the Chateau Block Tasting at Jordan Vineyard & Winery with a friend. Our guide started our small group off with a glass of wine and an intro to the winery, it's history, and history of the Chateau block vineyard. Then we were led on a short guided walk through the vineyards, to our outdoor tasting under the oaks (with incredible views), and a special Journeyman charcuterie pairing for each of the Cabernet Sauvignon's poured. For our tasting we tried Cabs from ‘06, ‘11, ‘13, and ‘15. HIGHLY recommended! Would return in a heartbeat.
Immaculate grounds and a beautiful winery. Come for the scenery, stay for the wine.
We were fortunate enough to be among the first to enjoy the Chateau Block tasting experience at Jordan Winery a few months ago. The Chateau Block tasting takes you out into the newest vineyard on the Jordan property, with beautiful views of Alexander Valley. I LOVED that the experience begins in the Bachus courtyard with a splash of the estate chardonnay then a lovely walk across the lawn and up the path. The entire tasting is under majestic oak trees, overlooking Alexander Valley. The wines, hospitality and overall experience are all five stars!
Fantastic wine tasting, food and on site private suites! Staff is excellent and accommodations are well equipped with a suite rental. Recommended highly!
I wish there were more than 5 stars to give! The beautiful grounds, impeccable hospitality, incredible food pairings and every wine delicious! Aristotle was am amazing host and source of knowledge! Can’t wait to go back!
Gorgeous winery &property. Sit down cheese plate, duck, breads, an more. All served inside tasting room. 5 star an above ! Excellent wines. No one will be disappointed.
Always a great experience. It’s just a coincidence we share the same name :)
Always a perfect experience.
What a beautiful estate that is so hidden. Very nice cabernet wine here. A more high end winery that is worth visiting. Appointment only!!!
We did the Chateau Block Vineyard Tasting experience at Jordan Winery. This was a HIGHLIGHT of our trip! The food was amazing! The wine was out of this world! I would highly recommend!!
Had a family luncheon at Jordon in July 2020. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly sanitary in this strange time. We sat on the beautiful terrace and enjoyed the champagne to start then moved into wild mushrooms & Chardonnay followed by an exceptional charcuterie platter and cab. Chris, Christopher, and Hannah were amazing - charming & warm which is a hard feat behind a mask. All in all we had a lovely time, great food, environment felt safe, and left full with several bottles of excellent wine! Highly recommend!!
Great experience, as always. Our host Chris was fabulous. Wines and food pairings were fantastic!
I had the best time attending the Jordan Harvest Lunch in September. It was a beautiful time to visit the winery and the Harvest Lunch was an incredible experience. All the employees are provided a delicious lunch during harvest and my lunch consisted of tamales, avocados and salsas that were paired with Jordan Chardonnay and Cabernet. It was an incredible experience and I can not wait to do it again this year. I love the family atmosphere at Jordan Winery and this lunch definitely highlighted the gratitude to the employees.
Interesting legacy, beautiful site - French-style wines (drink only w food) - super-stuffy yet touristy. I went reluctantly - perhaps I was biased but no need to return. They actually called themselves a "cult wine" in the same breath they bragged about having one of the largest restaurant distributions in the US... ??? Note: don't weigh my review too heavily - this place deserves good reviews and it's just not my style.
