This Winery belongs to the category of Winery.
What a delightful venue for any occasion. We enjoyed a nice lunch while sipping a Chardonnay. Beautiful grounds. I only wish we had more time to spend perusing wine, shopping and checking out the grounds. I will go again, soon!
Great wine tasting experience. Modern, clean venue with attentive, knowledgeable staff.
Joined the club and loving every minute of it. The concerts here are amazing been to a few of them. A must see washington winery
Do you feel like being rushed by staff that only care about leaving as close to 5 as possible? If so I recommend coming for the last pour at chateau Ste. Michelle. The whine is good. But it the people don't care at all about the business at all. Management may want to look for some new help.
Saw earth wind and fire the concert was fun & exciting the winery was clean the employees very kind and professional, my only issue were with fans who had also bought GA lawn tickets who felt entitled & made rude comments because I was standing near them listening to music. Im not gonna say they were racist but they did seem stuck up. Fortunately for me i ignored them & enjoyed the amazing show & rather than let 4 or so people ruin my vibe i jammed out with the thousands of others there to have a good time.
Nice joint. Tour was garbage and just marketing. Also not a vineyard. I like the wine but no reason to visit this again.
Best wine in the Pacific Northwest. Holds its own with California wines and superior to Australian / New Zealand wines.
Great atmosphere and great wine. Take the complimentary tour and tasting to get the full experience. They also have private tours and even a summer concert series.
Beautiful grounds and locations, lots of different tasting options, wine is not as good as many other places in Woodinville though. Worth a visit at least once
Confusing layout. It's a little frustrating that I have to go to 3 different stations if I want to do all the tastings. There are a lot of options, but it's also pretty busy. As a person from East coast wine country, I think their prices seemed high. The space is really cool and they have a nice outdoor space too, but it's just a little more fancy than what I need or want.
I love the Chateau St Michelle Winery! I've attended a few concerts there! It's beautiful!
A stunning winery with delicious wines! Our tour guide was friendly and helpful. In the tasting area, they have beautiful decor and great seating... the live peacocks were a fun surprise! We'll definitely be coming back when we're in the area.
The setting is very unique and different from other attractions in Seattle. The food was pretty good as well as how the wines were thought for each meal. Service was personal and cozy.
our visit to the winery was on April 16, 2021. My boyfriend and I came here to visit for my birthday celebration, which we were very excited about. Upon arriving we followed two gentlemen who were being brought to the main counter to purchase wine to enjoy, they were being escorted by a woman who worked there and we were told to follow. While waiting in line, the two gentleman were being helped, and a blonde woman cut in front of my boyfriend and I, which we thought was rude, i mentioned to her that we were in line but she didn’t seem to care. When the woman behind the counter was finished helping the gentleman with their purchase of wine, we stepped up to the counter and said that we would like to get two glasses of wine, which she then proceeded to tell us that she was going to help the person in front of us. I mentioned that we had been waiting and this woman cut in front of us. The woman behind the counter ignored what we were saying and continued to help the woman who blatantly cut right in front of us. We then were finally helped by a different woman , who then told us that we needed to go back to the entrance and be checked in. We told her that we followed a woman who worked here in and she brought us to the counter where we were told we could get a glass of wine. She was unwilling to help us and told us that we needed to go back to the front entrance. We again told her that we had been brought to this counter by someone who worked there but she was unwilling to help us get a glass of wine until going back to the front. We both left your facility after that as we were very upset and angry with the way the events had occurred. It seemed that no one cared about what we were telling them. Not to mention the two incredibly rude staff that we encountered. I hope that in the future, staff will not treat customers in such a way, however we will not be returning.
Went in for a tasting with my two best gay friends, we had a great time because we love wine because we are gay and OLIVIA was amazing. Love you gal ????
Of course there is a huge selection of wines from all over the world in addition to WA and OR wines. We hung out in Enoteca sipping tastings and then enjoyed a glass while checking out the rest of the venue.
My wife and I stopped here on our drive back to Seattle from Vancouver, Canada. We needed to make some time before our flight but to Los Angeles out of Seattle and each of us decided to choose a place to make a stop. I chose a lighthouse to make a stop and she chose a winery. Well, the winery won. I'll have to check out the lighthouse on our next trip. We took a tour of the Chateau Ste. Winery and we're offered a taste of three different wines during the tour. A Chardonnay, a Cabaret Sauvignon and a Moscato. The Chardonnay and Sauvignon were delicious and we decided to buy a bottle of eaxh. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and made sure everyone in the group was sticking together and within an earshot of her. We ended up buying some jamón ibérico, cheese and crackers and opened up the Chardonnay to have on one of the tables right outside the Chateau. The winery is located on beautiful grounds. I only wish we would of had more time to explore and enjoy the area more.
Overcrowded on weekends. It feels like a bad holiday at Disney complete with excessive gift shop vibes, inflated prices, and ridiculous crowds.
Beautiful place. A coworker rented it out for a Valentine's party. It was beautiful, but a little bit difficult to navigate without someone ahead of us to get to the party rooms. Other than that this was a lovely night at lovely location!
Large tasting room. Variety of wines. Great out door area. Dog friendly outside.
Beautiful winery located just east of Seattle across the bridge. The grounds are kept very manicured
We took a complimentary tour, Sam told us lots of interesting things about the grapes, winery and its history. The tour was enlightening and educating, we were able to see the wine conveyer from the catwalk. We were happy to recognized a couple of brands restaurants on the east coast sell.
This place is awesome. They are the oldest winery in Washington state. They started out as a dairy farm in 1871 and went on to be a winery in the early 1900s. This place has amazing grounds...you can see peacocks! Their wine is not bad either. The only thing is it gets very crowded on sunny days.
Such a beautiful estate with tons of ground to walk, photo ops, history, and of course great wine.
Sipping wine watching a concert. Saw Ringo Starr in concert there. Awesome! Bring your beach chair, buy a bottle or two of wine, and sit back and watch a great show outside. There's also plenty of food if your hungry. Much fun, can't wait to go back.
Our server Ashley was amazing she brought us some samples that she thought we would love and we did! I love that she encouraged us to try some of the Riesling’s and ice wines and we ended up buying both! Thank you so much
Two reserve tasting rooms with different pours in each!
The concerts drive significant noise pollution to the surrounding neighborhoods in Kirkland. The chateau does not care. If you attend the concerts be aware that you are contributing to the suffering of many households.
Lovely place and lovely wines. Great tasting experiences. The Disney world of wines (for adults of course!)....
Outstanding experience❤️????❤️ There Thursday night for John Legend concert????????, back again today for the crisp and refreshing Sparkling????, award????️ winning Riesling and finally, the complete artist series❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ yes, 5⭐
Luxury and fancy winery, European style garden and buildings, looking great tasting area, romantic moods, comfortable service, very gentle and kind employees, you must visit.
Awesome place to enjoy wine. Their brunch set you must try it.
Love bringing my out of town friends here. The grounds are gorgeous! They're open 10-5 most days and offer free tours on the hour that include a small tasting. The staff are all really knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell they enjoy their job. They have lots of options for Rieslings (even a Riesling - only tasting). They also have a white, mixed, and red tasting. I wish they would add in a sparkling wine tasting since they have 4 of these. I've had 3 of their sparkling options and haven't been disappointed. We recently attended their July 4th event and had a great time. Don't miss the peacocks on the property!
Always enjoy my time and wine here!
Wine tasting was PACKED on a February Saturday afternoon. Come back in the summer for the concert series.
I have always liked their wine so I came with my fiancé to do a wine tasting and tour. Everyone was really nice but it was incredibility crowded. I do not personally believe a tasting room should be that crowded or chaotic. I do not recommend.
A great venue for concerts! My inaugural trip to Chateau was amazing! Despite the fact that there was massive traffic getting to parking places, my husband and I found free parking with a free shuttle to Chateau Saint Michelle. I recommend getting there when the gates open to get a good spot. We came in about 6:15, and the entire venue was full. Nearly everyone brought beach chairs to sit in. My husband and I opted for a blanket, which we were happy about later because beach chairs would not have fit in the little spot that we sat, but our blanket squeezed in nicely. In the future, we would come early, get beach chairs and a cooler set up. Food is allowed to come in with you, but you cannot bring in alcohol.
Variety of tasting options. Knowledgeableb approachable staff enthusiastic about wine. Beautiful grounds.
Chateau is one of the premier spots for wine tasting in Woodinville. Beautiful grounds lead to a very large tasting room. The tasting menu only scratches the surface of all the wines available. Recommend spending a couple of hours enjoying the grounds and wine.
It’s a great experience. Lots of beautiful spaces and lots of different wine flights.
Who would have thought that just outside Seattle was a chataeu worthy of its own place in the hills of Southern France? Stunning grounds and lovely wine on a perfect summers day. The stars really aligned for us as the weather was perfect. I could see us coming back here a few times in the future!
Great venue for concerts and wine. Bring your own food and wine while sitting out and enjoying love bands. Make sure to bring chairs or blankets to sit on.
Wine by the bottle from cheap ($15) to hella expensive ($100), fun free music some Tuesday nights and free tasting tours. Easy parking.
Wonderful tasting! Loved being able to taste my pick-ups again! YUMMY!
This is concert review not on their wine or food. Came down from Vancouver BC only to find out they stopped selling wine at 815. What winery stops selling so early when hosting a concert? The venue is beautiful but that fact alone is disappointing and i was not the only one. I saw countless people go to the sale tent only to be turned around. This should be stated much clearer someone on the ticket or website. It is not. I cannot comment on the quality of their food or wine.
Best wine ever all the red wines we tasted were very good, we also joined the château Ste Michelle wine club.
Great concert location. Avg wine. Below average concessions. Poor parking choices
Everyone always helpful and friendly. Picked up a quarterly order, hung out and socialized with anyone at the tasting room which was awesome
$10 flight of white wine. 3 other flights to choose from. Plus wine tasting from other vineyards available. The staff is very knowledgeable plus really great gifts you can buy for friends and family!
If you have the scratch, go to the wine auction in the fall... Amazing food and wines from all over the state. The wine tours are free and fun. Well worth the hour. You'll learn a lot about Washington wines
Great venue for concert and drinking great wine on the lawn. Perfect summer evening with my daughter!
Love their Summer Concert Series... We park off campus in one of the nearby designated parking lots and take the bus shuttle in... Much easier... Concerts in the fresh open air... Stars in the sky... Wine & food available on premises... Never any ruckus... Cozy... Fun... Just an awesome experience each & every time!
We went to our fourth Halloween party at CSM last night. As always, a fantastic event with great wine, great food, and great people. Highly recommend.
Excellent wine from Washington. Take the tour and do a tasting. There are also big concerts on the grounds during the summer.
Decent selections of wine; friendly service following Covid guidelines. My favorite was the number 4. Beautiful property to browse as well!
The wine sampling was much fun and quite enjoyable, but you'll certainly pay for it. Four test tube sized samples, NOT of your choosing, will set you back $20-$25. It's a bit ridiculous. Otherwise, the staff is totally great and quite knowledgeable.
This is such a great place to spend a day. The tasting menus are wonderful. They gave cheese plates and paninis for sale to go with the tastings. So much fun.
We've been coming here for 10 years. Great gardens, do a picnic and enjoy some wine
This vineyard is absolutely beautiful! Stately grounds, landscaping, many water features and of course wine. they are a free tour of the grounds with three wine tastes at the end. They sponsor a variety of events including a concert series from Rock to classical music. I'm here for Michael Franti and Spearhead with Ziggy Marley opening.
One of my favorite Woodinville destinations. Wine, music and a great social atmosphere.
Great (and free) tour and tasting. Good selection of winery-exclusive bottle. A must-visit for anyone in the area.
Lovely panini menu in the tasting room, and great food selection for Happy Hour!
If you only have limited time to visit a winery but want to experience the ambiance and taste wide variety, this is the place.
The makes a great daytrip. It is most enjoyable if you have a designated driver or better yet, a taxi/ride-sharing way home.
Very nice place. Great wine
This is an absolutely beautiful location. It's the perfect place to buy a bottle of wine and sit down to have a picnic. They have wine tastings every day and a free tour (the tour isn't great, but they give you wine!). They also have snacks for purchase if you're feeling peckish and lunch menu items.
So much fun! If you go during the summer concert series go to the entrance in the very back of the winery. Don’t even look into the front entrance it always takes longer no matter what even the staff tel you. Because they have no idea. It’s super annoying as I have been told to wait in front even though the entrance in the back was much shorter.
Great selection of wines and perfect place to meet large groups of friends. Staff is friendly and the grounds sre beautiful. Mimosa pop up bar on Sundays!
An awesome place, much more than a winery
Awesome tour of the facilities. I love that they are beginning to carry Red Mountain wines!
I really liked Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery. I've been to Napa, Sonoma County, and Temecula (all in CA) and this winery is definitely on par with all of the above. The landscape and scenery was exceptionally beautiful and they offer free tours! I'm used to $20 wine tastings in Napa and to see the same number of tastings for half the price, I was blown away. Be careful though, this place always seems to be busy, especially at the bar. Trying to find a spot to squeeze in for some tastings was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. And once you find that spot, you better cling to it like glue! We had a larger party which made it a bit difficult, but eventually we found a spot to order. They have three sets of tastings - the regular tasting (consisting of white and red wine - you pick 4), the Riesling tasting (you choose 5 Rieslings - which I heard they're more well known for), or the Estate tasting ($15 instead of $10 for their premium wine selection - 4 tastings). I went with the regular tastings to see what they had to offer and I tried one white (can't remember the name of) and three reds (cineast, grenache, and ethos cabernet). I absolutely loved the grenache and the ethos cabernet. I'm not wine connoisseur but the grenache in particular had a very fruity taste which I adored. I hope to come back to Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery again soon!
Absolutely amazing! We came here as a pre-employment night out. My husband had a stamp on his vaccination card because his was vaccinated on deployment, and it started a little conversation. They surprised us by completely comping our tasting. That was really sweet. The service was amazing, and the atmosphere is top-notch.
Good wine. Fun wine tours. Beautiful grounds. Nothing else like it in the Puget Sound Area.
The grounds are spectacular, the music was great and the wine is always amazing!!! I love everything about this place.
While the grounds are spacious, the buildings are nice and the tour was informative and well-run, the tasting room experience was a poor experience. We ordered 2 flights, and found our server to be more focused on "wealthy-looking" older men who arrived after us (two groups) than on our group. It was awkward and we ended up leaving with one of our tastings only half through, because we tired of being ignored.
Amazing little venue, and easy parking or shuttle available...
Tour was ok, kind of loud, and was a large crowd. Wine is good and you get a couple samples while on tour but you have to pay for wines you may want to try. Some are really expensive samples for three and some tastings you can get 5 for less money. Not the best experience I’ve had at a vineyard but had a good time.
The grounds of the winery are just beautiful. A lot smaller than I had anticipated though. Be prepared to wait a long time to do the tastings. We went here 3 different times and it was packed each time. You can do a Riesling tasting flight for $10, or choose 4 (reds & whites) for $10 as well. What I do enjoy is the fact that you can purchase a bottle of your choice, have them cork it for you (no fee) and grab a few glasses then walk around outside! This is the reason I am giving them 4 stars. The reason for not 5.. the customer service was not what i would have expected. The gift shop pricing was also pretty ridiculous. I understand a 50% markup because of where we were and the fact it was a gift shop but $40 for soap, $480 for a wine dispenser, or $200 for a cheese platter? No thank you. Overall, at least go and do a tasting then purchase a bottle and walk the grounds for some pictures.
Went to a concert they stopped selling their own wine early many people were upset will never go here again for their poor choices and long lines to get in.
Not really worth the hype. Crowded, pretentious and the bar maids aren’t friendly at all. There isn’t really any ambience so don’t come here looking for an experience - just a VERY small pour of wine.
I went here today with my family for Father's Day: We did a tasting and it was a pretty lackluster experience with subpar service - the two people serving us didn't seem very interested in being there. My brother says he's been in the past during the week and had a much better time, so maybe just try not to come on the weekend or on holidays.
This is a beautiful property though it can get quite busy so be prepared. Bring a picnic and find a spot to relax and drink wine! The tasting room is huge and the property equally large.
I’ve been a member at CSM for some number of years now. It’s been so long that when my husband and I first started going to their events, it was clear we were some of the youngest members there, now... we’re not so young now lol. But we still love coming to Chateau because the wine is good, the buildings are nice and updated, the grounds are beautiful and so much more. There are so many different areas to taste wine, an area to shop, go on a winery tour and, again, so much more. And seeing a summer concert here is awesome! Drinking wine in the sun with some good music - how do you beat that?!
My first time visiting Chateau Ste. Michelle and what an experience it was. It was on a day when Goo Goo Dolls came into town, so the place was fairly busy. I stopped by the Col Solare section to try their flight and the hostess was extremely kind and informative. She called me the "mystery man", who came, knew exactly what I wanted, and left happy. I moved on to the other wine tasting area and tried a couple of others: Druther's and Cold Creek. The amphitheater was what I expected and of course the concert was epic, maybe cause I had absolutely great seats! All-in-all, I had a wonderful experience and will return again for future wine tasting events and concerts.
As a concert venue this place is amazing! I have not been to the tasting rooms.
Beautiful place with a very big tasting room, unfortunately we only liked one the 5 wines they were offering for the standard tasting that day
Our friend is a member so received free tastings. Actually preferred the reds which is unusual for me. Beautiful estate.
My husband and I were on a short visit to Seattle and decided to visit Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery as we love wine, but had never been to a wine tasting before. We were so excited to visit this winery, and it well exceeded our expectations! When we arrived, we went on a free tour/small tasting with Chris (who, by the way, is the best tour guide. If you get a tour with this guy, you will not be disappointed!) after the 30 minute tour, we sampled a flight, which gives you a percentage off any purchase you make. Try to go a little before lunch, because you can buy awesome sandwiches and have a picnic on the grounds! This was also one of our favorite parts. Our experience here was amazing. Everyone was so, so helpful. Shout out to Chris and Ginger! They made our visit worth while, and we left with a bangin’ bottle of the artist series!
Nice grounds. Wine not to bad either. Friendly people around.
Tried to pickup our wine club fulfillment yesterday. What a mess. Called membership line, treated rudely. Member no longer!
Fun and relaxing atmosphere for a picnic with a bottle of wine. Took away one star because did a tasting to see which bottle to buy and it took FOREVER because they didn't have enough staff at the tasting bar to accommodate the crazy amount of people there.
Very nice place to taste wines. Also, they do have some very good lunches. It is mostly salad and a sandwich, but nice. My only suggestion and the reason for 4 stars is the lack soda for non drinkers. Oh they do have electric charging stations for you.
I went here recently with a close friend to celebrate my Birthday. We had the BEST time. We took the tour with Jan, who was absolutely fabulous. It happened to just be the three of us on the tour so we were able to get a lengthy tour with a lot of information. Jan made sure I had a great Birthday. Then we decided to do a paid tasting. I tried the reisling flight and my friend tried the estate flight. We were both impressed. I LOVE the reislings. Then we went to the gift shops (which has a great selection of cute things and Christmas decor) and we ended up leaving with 5 bottles! Daniel was our cashier and he was really friendly and helpful. Thanks again for the great Birthday!
Beautiful winery and a great Chardonnay. Visited Woodinville from California for the first time and this was our first tasting. Loved the first woman who poured for us, very attentive and sweet. Chatted about our newborn and her grandchild. She made sure we were taken care of before she left on break. Another woman poured our last tasting. When we left there was no place to add gratuity on charge slip, so we left the only cash we had on bar which was $4. She called us back to return our tip, she said they don’t accept gratuity. As we turned around to leave she said unless it’s a 20 to another employee. Needless to say we left feeling a little bothered by the comment and the experience was cheapened.
I felt like I was in a big machine. Hurry to sit down, here are your tastings, you have the table for 75 minutes and when she did tell us about the wines it was about all four at once and she spoke so fast no one could understand anything. The wine tasted great, but the experience was horrid.
I like this place. It is perfectly located near our place. They offered good stuff in good prices. I feel like everyone is always welcome.
This winery is definitely the best place you can go in Woodinville. Feels like a bite of France here is the US. There is no way it can be more spectacular, very scenic, warming, a most go if you are around. Parking is really extensive so don't worry about it. Just enjoy this magical place because totally worth!
With literally dozens of grapes to be grown and wines to be vinefied, CSM does it from retail to higher end quite well. Really enjoyable tasting today. If you can afford it, splurge for a private tasting or library tasting. You won't regret it.
Interesting (free) tour and nice 5-wine tasting for $15/person. It's a beautiful place but was a bit confusing getting started. Things aren't marked real clearly - they could do a better job on that.
Great place. It only lacks a changing station at the men's bathroom.
Great destination in the Woodinville wine tasting district. The chateau is beautiful and a great place to check out. The wine selection is much more vast here than anything you will find in stores from them. Would be inclined to come back and check out the concert series. Had a great time. A must try!
Amazing experience blending your wine and taking your blends home. Great summer concerts and a pleasurable night of fun.
They don't provide fresh glasses for each pour. So by the time you're on your 4th pour, you have your own "special blend"
As a concert venue this is even better than Marymoore. Better parking, grounds, slope on the viewing area, and for my money sound quality. Was cheerfully surprised.
Horrible concept planning! We spent the money and ruined our evening by going to their concert!!! Raining, dark, no lighting, and the concert started super late we had to wait one hour for the main concert
Their tour was great and got a chance to try a handful of their wines. Great red and whites, a must stop if you're in the area.
I've been to a few wineries, but none compare to the experience I had at Chateau Ste. Michelle. Excellent tour, beautiful grounds, great flights. The staff were amazing and helpful to find the right wines for me. My only regret is that we didn't have more time. I will definitely be back!
Rosemarie and Cheryl really took good care of us. Especially when we started to walk out because there wasn't enough space at the bar for the 4 of us on a wine tour. Rosemarie personally poured our wines. What was almost a bad impression turned into an exceptional impression. Customer Service is not dead.
Great concert venue! The atmosphere was fantastic. Everybody brought chairs, some had picnics, mini tables with cheese and meats on marble. CSM had wine and food available and it was just a really great concert.
We absolutely loved our wine experience here! Renee was a dream to work with! The facility is gorgeous, very well kept and clean. The customer service was phenomenal. We are definitely returning customers!
Our estate tour was just fine. We were a group of roughly a dozen and while it was difficult to hear our guide at times, she tried her best and walking the grounds was lovely. She was at least friendly and professional. The wines we tasted were subpar as to be expected from a large corporate-like winery. The tasting rooms were worse. It was crowded and the small signs or lack of signs made it chaotic. When I asked for assistance, I was shocked at the rudeness and arrogance of the feedback I received. It was needlessly condescending. Would I return? Maybe to revisit the peacocks, ducks, and beautiful grounds for a concert...but for a really good authentic wine experience? Absolutely not. What a disappointment, but it was a relief leaving the tourist trap nightmare. While we only had time to taste (and buy much more impressive bottles) from two others (icon and celaeno), I very much look forward to trying some more of the other 100+ wineries that Woodinville has to offer when we return on our next visit.
Beautiful place to visit with family and friends. They have a free tour with free wine tasting.
It's just so nice being there, small walk, wine tour, tasting, outdoor music event or to taste any of their delicious wines. You just have to check them out!
Really beautiful place. Book your tasting in advance though!
So some of my friends came in from out of town so they stated they wantef to go wine tasting. So we decided to go here everyone here was really interested and had a passion for wine. The atmosphere was very friendly and just full of people enjoying what they did. I spend the better part of 30 min just talking about food and wine parings and I was introduced to a few recipes to try with some of the wine I bought overall an amazing experience. I'm going to be telling my brother and his girlfriend about this place so they can experience it for them selves
The tour is not only informative, it's casual and fun and includes a wine tasting. The guides (and I've experienced multiple tour guides, as I've enjoyed the tour of the grounds on more than 3 occasions) do a great job of teaching each guest on the tour how to taste wine. For a 21 year old who was just getting into wine tasting, this was really helpful. Being in an environment that doesn't judge and encourages questions is a key part of learning for me and y'all know how to deliver.
Chateau Ste. Michelle is a large, industrial-scale winery. It's definitely set up for show, and there's a lot to take in. The grounds are beautiful, and there are three different areas in which one can taste wines. The wines are great and vary in price and quality depending on where you taste. You can also buy wine by the glass or bottle. The signage could be a lot better, but if you're there to taste, keep walking and you'll see the tasting bars. The interior is beautiful, but very modern. Don't expect it to match the outside. This is one of those that you should definitely stop by if you're in the area.
Lots of info on the tour but I believe it was a little bit to long. Very modern inside and I didn't feel the charm that should have been there when associated with the term "castle". The wine tasting pours were stingy. For what they charged, I would have expected a little bit more in the glass compared to the other wineries I visited today.
We love this place. We always have a great time when we come here. It’s one of the most famous wineries in Woodinville. We’ve been to a couple concerts here too. We always come here a couple times a year. This is a must visit for anyone coming to Woodinville wine country
It was a wonderful experience to take a tour of the winery. They showed the machines that are being used, the geographical areas where they get the grapes from and the variety of grapes that are being used. Got to taste three kinds of wine during the tour. Towards the end of the tour, there is an area where you can buy the wines. Live music was played there by musicians and I really loved the ambience there. They have a vast land area so you can take a walk outside too.
Awful concert venue, even for an artist who put on a great show. Never going back for an event. Slope for the assigned seating is nearly flat, and the stage is low to the ground. As a result, the view was obstructed the whole show by other patrons sitting or standing in front. Nothing is lit or reflective for walkways and markings, and as a result the staff has to turn on bright flashlights to direct people and fulfill their other job duties. Seating may be better closer to the stage or on the grass, but this experience was so bad I'll never know. Staff was unprepared for an altercation that occurred, as a result it went on for an extended period of time. The staff were unfriendly throughout the experience. The shuttle from the parking lot drops you off at the wrong entrance for reversed seating. If you exit from the wrong side of the venue there is no way to walk around to grab the bus. They don't give information about multiple bus stops/drops when it takes you to the venue, so you don't have info on what stop is yours for the return.
Quality place for Washington wine, beautiful grounds, pricey and delightful.
We booked a cabana when my parents were visiting. Amazing ambiance and great seating for cabanas, delicious wine. Our server was nice but she was busy with 3-4 more tables. Luckily you can text her too. We started with sparkling and had white&red options. Great day, recommended!
Great wine, love the concerts all summer long! One of my favorite places.
The complex has multiple places to visit on beautiful grounds. Theres a brewery, a winery, a physical challenge course, and Teatro Zinzanni is there now. I recommend any of these locations, but one star off for parking that can be difficult to navigate.
We just got back from our 1130 VIP experience from today. Our group of 6 had an amazing time. The staff was terrific and informative. The food was great and the select wines were delicious. Could not have asked for more.
Such a fantastic experience at the Labor Day Weekend event. We got there super early, which allowed us to see everything before it got busy. It was nice to see all the families and people there. Cant wait to go back for more events. Highly recommend visiting this place if you get a chance. Great date idea.
Josh Groban is always more than a great performer. I have seen him in concert several times through his career at different Venues, and I have never been disappointed. He is always friendly with his audience, and interacts with them. You know that he loves what he is doing. On the other hand, This Venue has a lot to be desired. We, my husband and I waited for what seemed like forever, over 2 hours just to get to the security check. It was very poorly executed crowd control. Unbelievably long serpentine around trees. We did not know, as also others were trying to figure out where the actual end of the very long line was. Then after many ticket holders pointed to us where we should go to wait for, "forever", to get into the concert area itself. I have not waited in a line like this even at Disneyland.....I don't think I will ever go back for another concert because of this experience. People around us commented more than once, that they had been here to the winery for concert events, and never had to wait this long before....very interesting! May have been a strange glitche for unknown reasons???
Great new wing of chateau shows off new tasting rooms sponsored by fellow companies and fun wine and swag marketplace to buy everything that is St. Michelle. Large wine bar for wine passport members worked well and employees were knowledgeable about wine they were pouring in flight. Liked the small cards given to tally your pours so you can walk around and peruse the whole area and the information walls of the history at St. Michelle while drinking. Wine trinkets expensive but wine reasonably priced. Respectful and kind employees wherever we went. Overall fun experience!
What an amazing place to see a concert... No price gauging on the wine or food... Great hillside seating! Saw Blondie... Elvis C and it was perfect! We will come back again and again!
I love it
Gorgeous winery that looks even more beautiful all decorated for the holidays. The tour is very informative (I’ve managed to do it three times now), and the wines themselves are really nice. Overall my favorite winery in the area, and I love the improvements they’ve made in the last few years to the place.
Beautiful winery! Enjoyed some great wine in such a great setting!
Was there for a concert, which we've done many times over the years. For some reason they have gotten far worse at managing the process of getting the people into the venue. We waited for almost two hours just to get in. The venue itself is fantastic but they must work on crowd management.
Saw ZZ Top and cheap trick here. Show was great and the venue beautiful. Un fortunately tje stage itself is only about 24 inches off the ground, which means you cant see the band at all when the crowd stands. Sound was good, and the concessions were great.
Figure out how to NOT make the mobility challenged have to walk 1,000 yards for an Uber after concerts! First and last time at this venue.
Their wine is delicious. Nice outdoor venue for seeing Gary Clark Jr. perform live.
Beautiful place! Not our first visit. You can picnic on the grounds after the tour and visiting the store. Highly recommend it!
The Chateau is lovely, their wines rival top notch. Their evening summer concerts are magical and classy events, (the first half or so), until the adults have played too long in the wine garden and people get sloppy and liberated and bougie turns into really awkward the more effective their self esteem booze goggles become.. All of a sudden a classy bunch of 40, 50 or 60 'somethings' feel 10 or 20 years younger, 5 sizes smaller and convinced they're the dancers we all REALLY came to see. *There IS such a thing as TOO uninhibited.* NewsFlash Janet Jackson: WE don't see the Saturday Night Fever in your head. WE see 2 dozen people having the equivalent of an uncoordinated group orgie or exorcism. Wardrobe malfunctions are NOT sexy all of a sudden.. Neither was your decision to free yourself from the constraints of your underwear... Do your thing, fly your flag, but recognize it may be your cue to exit with whatever remains of your dignity... Note to Chateu staff: I get it, you're profit driven.. Please stop overserving your patrons and ripping the beauty of the evening away from the rest of us who end up skulking away like it's noon the day after a one night stand and we've lost a shoe... Every.Single.Time I leave embarrassed. NOT a good look.
I'm not a wine aficionado, but I _am_ a "maker", of sorts. I enjoy a good wine and I appreciate the art that goes into making one. Same with beer, whiskey, soap, etc. The winery tour was quite fulfilling; I got to see the bottling process, learned a bit about the Washington wine regions and some of the things that go into the art (seriously, the direction that the rows of grapes face makes a difference!) and the wine-making process. And then I got to taste a few wines, one of which (the 2013 Muscat Canelli) was just extraordinary.
We laughed so hard that day it was the best
This winery is "beautifully designed" with a built-in operations that is visible during the public wine tours. The space is quite large with a gorgeous landscape that they use for concerts during the summer.
Great atmosphere, perfect place to learn about wine. Good for families of all ages or meeting with friends for a glass of wonderful wine.
This place is very Beautiful, you can have any kind of events, you can have picnics there. Like tonight my husband's work threw a Christmas party & it was extravagant ???????????????? we had a great time!!!!
Love this place! We come here regularly on Seasonal Club Releases and concerts with friends and we always enjoy good wine, great food and friendly staff!!!
It's a wonderful venue for music concerts, the stage, lighting, and sound system we're all amazing, Josh Groban sounded wonderful.
Awesome setting and environment. The staf are also super friendly. The wines are a bit expensive though. I really wish I could give half stars on Google so I could give 3.5.
2018.08 big winery with tour. Can spend 1 HR there. You. Can hv wine tasting too.
An absolute must if you are tasting in Woodinville. The Estate alone is worth the trip, absolutely stunning! They have remodeled most of the main tasting area this year and it is amazing! Much bigger and lots more selective tasting spots and gift shop areas. This place is incredible! Don't forget to try and find the peacock running around the grounds!
Great venue and wonderful place with great wines... The food is over priced, but tasty
Fun place to go wine tasting. It will be overly crowded so come prepared for that.
It's a popular brand so the place was packed. It felt very touristy more than people actually going to taste good wine. The service was not too attentive- although I cant blame them since so many people were there.
I became a member a few months ago, I got 6 bottles of three different wine and only one was good. The red wine was worst then table wine, I made a comment while I was trying it and the bartender told me that it was probably my toothpaste that didn't let me enjoy the wine. I been trying to go back to try something new for the past 3 or 4 Sundays and is been almost impossible, to crowded over the concerts. When we finally made it last Sunday service was condescending and the place was super "Disney" crowded. This place just doesn't make you feel warm inside, is way out of control and I think they should listen the voice of the customer special the locals that support them year around.
Beautiful winery. I will be back.
Chateau Ste Michelle Winery is one of my favorite concert venues. It's conveniently located and offers festival and assigned seating. The grounds are beautiful. The concessions offer a good variety of foods and the prices aren't outrageous.
NOTE: I was contacted by Kati yesterday from Chateau St Michelle regarding my conserns below. She was very understanding and listened attentively. She ensured me that the winery will do its best to resolve these issues. I very much look forward to seeing those results. I love the setting and beauty of this winery. However, the management of the crowds for their concert series is horrible! New metal detectors were installed for crowd safety which is awesome but the lines were understaffed and mixed messages were given to concert goers as to which line to stand in. It took a full 2 hours to get into the venue. At the main entrance, they had ONLY ONE person checking the coolers for an expected audience attendance of 4,500 people!! Needless to say, people in line were getting angry and highly frustrated. They need to fix this soon because spending this much money for a frustrating experience is intolerable.
The winery grounds are great. The reserve wines are worth checking out. But the concerts can be hit and miss. The artists aren't the problem; the terrible crowds that talk through the entire show at the winery makes it a real bummer.
Great place for a concert. Lots of places to sit.
At the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery he winery staff is extremely cheery (though I have never met a grumpy staffer at a wine tasting room -- must be a pretty fun job) and happy to talk up the wines. The winery's $15 per 5-glass tasting, with a discount on any bottles you choose to buy, is fairly standard for the Woodinville area and quite reasonable considering the high quality wines and wide variety. The tasting room can get a little crowded at peak times, but it's generally not too long a wait to get a seat or another glass of wine. Overall, a really great experience and one that should definitely be on your list if you love wines and are in the greater Seattle area.
Foreigners Not Welcome - attempted a wine tasting with a 48 year old grey haired friend with an Australian drivers license. Turned away because they wanted a passport. Never again.
The experience was so nice, it definitely seemed like every single employee enjoyed their job and genuinely was there to help us in our wine journey (we were complete noobs). Highly recommended!
Nice concert venue. Grass hill seating is a bit chaotic but otherwise comfortable.
When there for a girl day!! This place gets a lot of visitors. Great wine selection plenty of parking.
The wine tour, all the nooks and crannies around the property and its estate can be a.heady.experience when done on an empty stomach. Excellent nonetheless!
Awesome place to hangout on the weekend with good wine. Can't wait for those concerts to come back soon.
It's too crowded and hectic to really enjoy a tasting. Just do a tasting at any other the hundred other wineries.
Such a classic winery in Woodinville! Love the new tasting room! and membership is great too.
Come for the free tour and wine samples, stay for the weather, live music, lawn, and easy access to wine! You can buy bottles here and drink them picnic style in the grass. The estate is great for strolling. There is plenty of parking but bonus points if you ride your bike here along the Sammamish River trail!
Went in for wine tasting tour but it's not available due to staff shortage, so we went for flight tasting $25/person for 4 wines (2 white and 2 red). I didn't care for their white wines, red tasted better. Also, it gets pretty busy here so I recommend making reservations.
Always a great time to go wine tasting at this beautiful winery. Take the tour and learn so much about the wine making process!
Been a member here for about a year. It's always a great time. Grounds are beautiful, wine is great. It’s usually pretty busy on weekends and sunny days, so if ever possible try going on weekdays for a quieter crowd. Just know they close early.
The tour was exceptional. Peggi rocks. We've been on many wine tours, and we learned new things on this tour. Highly recommend. Beautiful grounds too. If you have a tasting, you get a 15% discount on wine purchases.
Went to the Jackson Browne concert and had a fantastic time. Awesome venue to watch a show especially when the weather is cooperating. The sound team for this show did an outstanding job and put on a show that had a sound as if we were in the recording studio listening to a taping for a CD or digital recording. All the instruments blended with Browns vocals in such a harmonious way I can say this was one of the best concerts I have attended at CSM. He still has it. The songs all sounded as good as the first version of Running on Empty back in 1977. Truly he hasn't lost a sliver of his vocal pipe capabilities. If you get a chance, get out and see Jackson Browne you will not regret it.
Free tour, three free wins. Really beautiful place. Tour every 30 min. Then continue tasting for 10 or 15 dollars depends on the wine
. . . GREAT winery with huge, beautiful grounds, an impressive variety of wines, and very friendly, professional staff . . . a must-stop during any visit to Washington's wine country . . . but make reservations if you expect to do a tasting, because this place is POPULAR!!!
Great wine tasting stop during our excursion from Seattle. The wines were good. The food was excellent ( We had the cheese and meat plate as well as a chicken salad sandwich and the Greek salad. Don't forget to explore the grounds to see the trout and the peacocks. Reservations may be required.
Absolutely loved our time here and the holiday decorations were stunning. Everyone from the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was very interesting and a definite highlight to our trip. We had a great tasting selection and can't …
The more time you spend with Chateau St. Michelle the more you appreciate everything they have to offer. One day they may get a review from me. For now, they just get my thanks. Summer Concert Series was a blast, but there always something going on all year around.
Beautiful place, both inside and out. Very clean, well organized, customer service was top notch! Many surprises here.
International customers need their passports? You could’ve mentioned that on your bio or info instead of disappointing your customers. You are the only spot that applies this law. So international customer have no idea this is even a law. Print it at the door! And definitely write it on your Google Maps!
This has always been my favorite wines. The tour lasted about 30 minutes it was free and we tried four or five wines. Beautiful Winery, they even sell paninis at the end and you can have various flights which you pay for.
Fantastic winery and show venue!!
The place is amazing, added the concert made the day fantastic. Will recommend and return soon.
This place is always so magical Everytime we go. Love it so much! The wine never disappoints.
IF you are semi driver. This place is good for delivering early. I had a 530pm appointment and I came here at 1pm and got done around 230. Forklift guy was cool. We need more places like this. Thank you
Great place to learn about wine. The tour is free and you get there free tastings at the end.
Reserve Ste. Michelle for the end of your wine tour day. Bring a fresh baguette and treat yourself to a bottle of wine and some meat and cheese for the perfect finale.
Beautiful grounds and a nice modern taproom. Reds and whites we tried were both solid
I have bought this Dry Riesling many times before, However I brought this out on the deck for my niece and sister to try and you might know it was no good. It was bubbly and not the greatest to drink. Doubt if I will buy it again. Have not found fault with the reds however.
Must place to visit if you like wine. Take the free tour, they show you how to taste wine with free tastings. Friendly staff and great wine...had a great time.
Great tour, great wines, you should def check it out
I've been to Chateau Ste. Michelle many times pre-covid and had an excellent time. With the recent events and restrictions due to Covid-19 I made sure to call ahead prior to my visit one day before visiting the winery. I spoke to the Customer Service department and they ensured me walk ups are being allowed at this time, which is a new feature from having covid restrictions. I asked if we are able to buy a bottle of wine and enjoy it on the grounds, he ensured me that is allowed. I showed up to the winery after walking an hour on the Burke Gillmen trail and was informed I needed a reservation to even buy a bottle and the grounds were closed. I expressed my frustrations with the misinformation and all I got was "sorry I'll inform customer service they are giving out misinformation" and had to leave the premesis. My date day with my husband was ruined even though I did my job with calling ahead, and I got no compensation from their error of giving me misinformation. Very disappointing.
This place is so historical and I loved their choices in wine. A bonus also for someone like me that's local, I get a discount for giving them my address. I love coming here, they always have special events, which is a great way to promote a place and sell their wine.
Very cozy and friendly place
The tour guide was amazing. Learnt a lot about the process and different types of wines. Had a nice wine tasting session as well. One of the oldest wineries in Seattle.
Great venue for an outdoor concert. We have been here twice..Excellent and great wine too!
This actually an awesome concert with Josh Groban. I have seen him at several different venues ie; White River Amphitheater, Key arena, White River Amphitheater. We waited in line for 2 long hours for lawn seating. Other people who were also waiting stated that they have been here for other concerts, and have never waited this long to get in. The concert actually started 1/2 hour late, but Josh was fantastic, as always. He is a great showman, who loves his fans. Will see him again somewhere else.
There is so much to do here. Plan a whole weekend to accomplish everything and sign up for the emails for events that they have. We did a wine pairing meal and a tour. We will be going back for the create your own wine and get to bottle and create label. This place is great to meet up with friends. The grounds have so many Instagram worthy spots. @contentawarephotography
Great set up, concert space and gorgeous gardens. Unfortunately it was far too busy and the wine wasn't the best
It was a great place for a show. Couple little things: nobody even bothered to look at our tickets - we could have walked right in without having spent the high ticket price! Also, Im aware it is a winery but there were no other options for beverages and not everyone on my party drinks wine. We were there for the concert and they were dissapointed.
They have all kinds of wine but you'll have to pay for the wine tasting and you get drunk. And a very beautiful place.
Never been to the winery my self. But I love I wine country Sonoma County Ca. I tried there Riesling and chardonnay. Best wine ever.
Been to a few concerts here in summer and they were great. We also went for a halloween party one year and had a good time.
A little disappointed with the early closing time. We barely had time for a tasting. We asked if we could buy a bottle and drink it on the grounds even though the tasting building was closing and they said no. Not very accommodating. Friendly staff though otherwise.
This is a case of a winery becoming a commercial product. There was no interesting atmosphere to the winery and there was a very obvious "buy and leave" vibe. Our host has no interest out enthusiasm about the wines and his explanation ended at reading the name on the label. The wines listed for tasting were unremarkable and not worth the 30+ prices. You'd be better off just buying their distributed selection at the store and saving yourself the trip if you really want their wine.
A lovely evening for a concert. Helpful, friendly staff. Good wine. Food limited and expensive.
I will try and provide a guide to navigating Summer concerts at Chateau St Michelle. First the lineups for General Admission tickets are long. Try and get reserved seating or show up at around 3:30pm for gate opening of 5pm. Put your chair down in the lineup and head inside for a wine tasting. Come back to your chair and enjoy your snacks, that you packed, and a nice glass of wine. Everyone in line is in a good mood. Once the gates open you have to go through security which took us about 15 minutes. Then finding a place to sit. We brought a blanket and some higher chairs which we cannot use close to the stage. We sat on the blanket and chilled. A couple sat down in front of us with the low back chairs and blocked our view. We moved to the right and got a great view of the stage. The food you can buy is from tents and it is expensive $16 for a burger and fries and mediocre. I suggest you bring your own food. Some groups had very elaborate setups. The wine is cheap - $13 for a chilled Rose. Less than a burger and very good. Final note I dropped my wife off with our stuff and then parked up the street. I found it easier to walk out as opposed to dealing with the long car lineup to leave the place. Final, final note the South entrance seems to be faster for getting into the grounds.
Live music on a nice, late season summer night. Pleasant and peaceful
5 tasting for $15, totally worth it... but what’s worth it is the free tour which comes with three free tasting. Yum! And generous. I love their Cabernet sauvignons. Really good. You can get their more affordable wine options at any grocery store. We wanted to get some but we didn’t have space in our luggage. They have many different tasting rooms. Their outdoor space/grounds is very big and nice. Walk around and explore.
This place is awesome and so beautiful! Lots and lots of wines to try and plenty of places to sit and enjoy one of their concerts. Can't wait to go back and hang out again.
This place has really grown since we started coming here seven years ago. They have beautiful grounds, and updated interiors now with many tasting areas and retail stores. We've been proud wine club members for several years, and really enjoy their wines and the special events they put on.
You could go to Napa or even Europe but you won't find better wine. You will for sure spend more, wait longer and deal with more pretentiousness. So much to taste, you can't try it all so plan to be back. Wine, beer and alcohol, good food, concerts at the chateau and shopping nearby.
Worst experience I have ever had at a winery. Cheap wines and horrendous service.
What a grand place! This winery was part of our tour with Customized Tours, and we had a nice time here. I did their wine flight, 5 tastings for $25. My favorite was the champagne. It was crisp, slightly sweet, and refreshing. There's so much to see here. It was the concert of Chicago that afternoon, but unfortunately we only were here at this winery for a short time. They seem to host such fun events! Will return next time we're in town!
Really great since their remodel; amazing wines and a great long table that's very social!
It was my first time for a wine tasting experience and I just loved this place. The good thing here was everyone treated me well considering I did not know much about wines. Had a gala time tasting different wines in a pleasant atmosphere.
TIP: If you plan on going on Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery's tour, it's free with generous complimentary wine at the end of the tour. #localguides #tourism #winetours
A very large place...there were 3 different tastings going on we could try without having reservations. I've been onsite once before for a concert, but had never come for the obvious and now wish I had. Very reasonable prices.
Premium is the word that covers all things Ste. Michelle. Premium wine, premium grounds, premium tour and premium people. Could not have had a better time. Me and my wife will be back for 1 of their summer concerts for sure!
Really fun to visit, beautiful grounds, but disappointing wine. Lots of fun for events but the wine itself is not good. Overly sweet or really weird flavors. The building and grounds are really nice though.
Fantastic winery, they do free tours on the hour. You get a few wine tastes and a quick tour of the production facility. The place is pretty big. Wines are very good. Grounds are very pretty. Absolutely a must if you are in the Seattle area. Very gorgeous drive out there as well.
Good value in the wine club. The wine club tasting room gets packed on the weekends
Concert was good. Would have been nice if they had an IPA or 2 on tap.
I love this place so much, I just had to become a wine club member! The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Not only do they have grassy knolls to relax on, a coy pond, and a peacock wandering around, but also hold really fun outdoor concerts in the summer time. The actual wine is delicious, and they have a couple different places to taste. Other than the main tasting room, they also have a Col Solare tasting room for a more expensive taste. Being a member is totally worth it. Not only do you get free tastings, but a million other perks as well.
Actually was there like 8 years ago but it was great, only regret was not staying for the show.... (tears for fears!!!)
A lovely winery housed on the grounds of a Disney like chateau with some tasty wine. I wish they told us the free tour included a tasting because while waiting for the tour to start, we did a five wine tasting then got three more glasses after the tour. The site is very picturesque and romantic though a bit pretentious considering the fairly modern construction. The wine was good, but much heavier on the sweet whites than full bodied reds. The whites were a nice German Mosel style with several rieslings and Gewurtztraminers. The Reds were largely younger reds like Pinot and Merlot. All tasty, but more of a picnic vibe than a strong fortifying meal pairing.
One of my favorite spots to visit in Woodinville and to take family and friends when others are visiting the area. There are multiple tasting room options but my favorite is taking the tours of the winery itself and not just because it’s free and you get free wine tastings (great perk!) The guides are extremely knowledgeable and really educate you on the history of the winery and wine region in Washington state. They also have concerts running at the winery over the summer! And of course, there is wine to be drunk and yummy food to be had! Can never go wrong with an outing here!
Went here on Saturday and all their tours were booked up by 4pm. Add more tours! I do not like the new remodel area. Too fancy and modern doesnt blend as well with the property grounds and the building. Not enough tasting servers either and too crowded near the bar area to even ask for a glass of wine. We ended up purchasing a couple of wine bottles for our group of 5 and some plastic glasses and drinking it on the lawn. It was not nearly as loud and crowded outside. Didnt like all the small children running aimlessly all over the property grounds screaming and being annoying to others. Felt like the kids were left on the property while the parents were inside tasting wine or across the street at Columbia. Didnt like how the kids were bothering the caged peacock either. Need better supervision on your property to curtail the insanity of unsupervised children.
Highly recommend the cabana experience if you are looking to relax for a few hours during a hectic trip to Puget sound. Lauren took amazing care of us and the wine recommendations were spot on with what we were looking for. Oh and the giant jenga game was such a fun way to pass the time!
Great winery, great wine, exceptional grounds. We are wine club members and with the recent remodel, there are now multiple private areas where only wine club members can go. There also is an exceptional music venue where we've seen some great artist place outdoors. Located in Woodinville near the Hollywood School house area where several other wineries are. Nearest hotel is Willows Lodge.
We got there at about 4pm for a concert that started at 6pm. It was a good time otherwise the good spots would have been taken. So just keep that in minde
This winery was AMAZING!!!!! You must go! $15 for the tasting! Can also buy meat & cheese platter! We did the Col Solare tasting too for $20 each and it came with cheese and truffle oil almonds for free. Seriously good!
Beautiful grounds for an event with a group of friends. Not a big fan of their wines but the atmosphere makes this place worth a visit. Buy a bottle to enjoy on the lawn and bring some cheese and crackers, you won't be disappointed.
Had a great tour, great wine, even more beautiful place, very fun time.
This place is beautiful. Free tours run every half hour but fill up. The tour includes 3 free samples of wine. One you are done, you finish in the huge tasting room which actually has several areas to taste, a hot bar to order food, and a massive gift shop. I happened to be visiting during their $0.01 shipping event when your purchase $100. Can't recommend this place enough! Wine tasting flights start at only $10.
Love the wine tour, great variety of wines at various price points. Beautiful grounds.
Stunningly beautiful grounds, excellent fairly priced wine and friendly staff.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery is a gorgeous place, with huge lovely gardens. We did their free wine tour and tasting. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The wine tasting includes three wines. I absolutely loved the Muscat Canelli. It's one of their best and they only sell it at the winery. We bought a couple bottles of Muscat Canelli and everyone who has had it has liked it.
Wonderful venue to see a show. Highly recommend!
Good wine, great concert venue
We've been to Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery a few times over the last ten years and it never disappoints. The wine is good and the winery is great to explore. The staff have always been friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and history of the winery.
Chateau Ste Michelle concerts are exceptional. Wish they would have better bottle openers.
Great, beautiful grounds and wonderful wine. MUST CHANGE BAR ETICET. Having every person crowd the bar prevents others from ordering. There should be a ordering area/lane for people to fill up, not having to fight for elbow space with others that are there to enjoy the wonderful offerings.
This has become less friendly, less member focused, and MUCH more entrenched in their thinking that they are providing a great experience despite the feedback you provide. We were Heritage members and when we complained of poor service we were basically told that our complaints didn’t matter. We’ve been members for years but the service/experience has diminished greatly over time.
As a parent of school age students it would be great if you didn't host concerts on school nights.
Amazing grounds, a peacock and pea hen strutting around. Love the free tour. And they organize these cool concerts and performances that you can watch from picnic grounds. Great wine too!
Amazing local winery with tours, tastings, gift shop, and more great wine than you could drink in a lifetime. I recommend the Muscat Canelli. If you haven't seen a concert here it's an absolute must. I've been to at least six shows here and they've all been in the top ten best shows I've ever seen.
Great shows; sensible, friendly security. Excellent wine. Easily accesible. Beautiful grounds. Proud of this facility in my state.
I'm not a huge fan of their wine but the grounds are beautiful and we had a fun time at the summer concert outside. The perfect place for a picnic and some music. Gorgeous tasting room and super friendly service.
You pays your money you takes your chances, events are "rain or shine" We have done both. We have done general admission and reserved. Square 1: We have always had fun at every event...rain or shine. Their organization is the best. They are welcoming and arrange general admission to make the best of all arrangements to help everyone comfortably see. Reserved seating on plastic deck chairs guarantees you will see subject to the size of head of person sitting in front of you and their skittish or not behavior. Go and have fun!
What a beautiful place to visit, I can't wait to go back. The Riesling was wonderful, and the staff delightful :)
If you're going to a concert come early to get good location. I arrived late for General Admission and it's not really GA, youry sick on the back. No beer. Accessibility isn't great.
Beautiful place to spend a summer afternoon. Grabbed some bottles and drank them outside. Come prepared to picnic! Also shipped some bottles as gifts… thank you Sharon at Guest Services for all your help!!!
The pioneer Washington winery and favorite outdoor concert venue. Ste Michelle was planting vineyards when it was believed good wine had to come from France. A gorgeous setting to experience great music midst pastoral grandeur of the grounds, Imagine Jethro Tull performing Songs From the Wood under cedar trees on a misty NW evening or Yes rocking Yours Is No Disgrace during a spectacular sunset. Grounds include the historic 1912 lumber barons home and a French style chateau. Tours are offered. The elegant chateau houses a state of the art tasting room and lovely shop. For concerts you can pack your own picnic or buy food on site and a bottle of local vino and uncork it yourself with a loaner corkscrew. You can reserve seats or set up on the lawn, either way you will be close to the show. Really are no bad “seats” here, despite being open air it’s pretty intimate. If you want to dance during a show plan to head to the outskirts of the lawn crowd. Parking on site is $20, but you can park free off-site and take their shuttle in. Woodinville has many restaurants, shops and other wineries to enjoy if you want to make a day of it check out the Visit Woodinville website.
Great venue for outdoor concerts and the wine shops have been updated and are beautiful.
Visited on our trip to Seattle last fall after having their wine with dinner at the Space Needle, my husband remembered liking that label when he was younger so we went looking for it. Such nice grounds and people....loved the shops...bought a lot of wines and champagne for family and friends as gifts and they loved it too. Will surely go back on our next trip that way as we really fell in love with Seattle.
If you are white, you probably wont be asked for proof that you are a member. So just go ahead and order whatever you like and enjoy yourself. If you are a person of color, be prepared to prove that you have paid your membership as we were asked, unlike anyone else infront of us or behind us, on several different occasions. We canceled our membership since it was made obvious that we were treated differently there and treated like we didnt belong there.
Great sound for an outdoor venue. Even had good sound and could see the stage all the way in the back on the lawn.
Fun place for wine tasting, a tour, or to just go have a picnic on a nice sunny day!
Just a great experience all around. You don't even have to be here that long. The tastings are quick. The sunken garden experience we did was very laid back. Parking is a little on the light side. The prices are great, as their varieties are widely available, but their are limited editions only available here as well. The customer service was excellent, as they will let you taste a few to find what you like before buying. I'd advise all in the area to visit. Make reservations!
As a wine enthusiast and a member of high society, I can put my stamp of approval on this chateau. Though the grass was a few hues to dark and the building a bit dull for my extravagant tastes, I found their wine quite adequate. Now, I don't usually take a cheap romp at the local "who's name" wine store, but this time I was delighted. The range of tastes left my pallet satisfied but at the same time yearning for more like a virgin touched for the very first time. Take a moment to smell the roses and allow yourself to be taken into the full body experience that is wine tasting.
VIP tasting worth the price. First I've done for this cost. I found it to bring good knowledge of the winery, area, and general ideas how to bring out aromas in wines. VIP brought out different wines that would not otherwise be available in a general tasting; I found those wines to be of excellent quality. I was skeptical of the VIP experience given my previous VIP entrance at another event provided not the most stellar vines. Good bang for the buck.
Absolutely beautiful winery and a must see if you're in the Seattle area. My wife has been a member for years and she grew up attending concerts at the winery with her dad and sisters. After visiting with my wife I can see why she is so fond of this winery. We'll be lifelong members for sure.
Chateau Ste Michelle has been on our “bucket list” of trips for 20 years. We had their Cabernet Sauvignon on our first date and it is a wine that has special meaning for us. Whenever we go out for dinner we always look for Chateau Ste Michelle wines. The winery and tours exceeded our expectations. We went on three tours and each were very different and each were great experiences - Sensory Sojourn, Private Salon Tasting and Celebrate Sparkling. If you are lucky to have Julio, Claire or Laura Lee as your guides/educators you won’t be disappointed, in fact they are each pretty amazing. They were extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and you could tell really enjoyed what they were doing. They made wine accessible not pretentious. Would definitely go back again! We also became wine club members. Looking forward to re-experiencing our trip with our first shipment of wine! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Very nice place for wine tasting, you will be served 3 different types of wine for free! they are all good, if you want to taste more they have some other options for you with wine and paring. I ended up buying a rose bottle and a special 50 years
Beautiful and full of things to do. I will definitely be returning for the concerts and other tours (there area number of them). Missed a star only because the main tasting room's selection for tasting was rather mediocre.
My wife and I have been to a few concerts there and absolutely love it!! She can drink her wine and enjoy her faves too! If she's happy, I'm happy!!
Great place for a concert! Josh Groban was phenomenal as usual. Will go again.
Great place for an outdoor concert. Wine is available at the venue. No bad seats. Lovely setting.
Best place to see a summer concert in Seattle area. BYOBs of Chateau Ste. Michelle wine from home or stores too. Way cheaper!
Went to one of the summer concerts. Amazing. Will do again anytime. Good wine, music and friends.
My first time visit winery, very friendly and welcoming staff. Enjoy the views and great wine tasting. Will bring family and friends come back again!!
Awesome place. Pretty large and equally large selection of wines inside! They sell Chateau St. Michelle in Safeway that I didn't care for but the wine they sell here is much, much better than that.
Awesome places to go to for live music and ????
Outstanding concert venue is both beautiful and intimate. Well run with parking and shuttles provided. Reserved plastic chairs or picnic on the grass. Not so much fun in the rain. Tasty wine.
Nice wine and environment.
Beautiful grounds to walk and the chateau itself is really something else inside. This winery had some wonderful wines to sample and the staff were all too happy to oblige.
What an awesome winery! Just beautiful! Wine tasting was truly great.
Very nice. Wonderful tour. Great tasting rooms
Great music venue! Wine and food available for purchase but you can bring picnic items in. Make sure to bring a blanket or low back chair if interested in sitting up near the stage in General Admission.
First concert here last night and have to say I was very disappointed in the sound system. The venue is very small and there really shouldn't be a bad seat in the house. The GA section gets packed fairly quickly so we ended up to the left of the stage near the concession stands. We had a great time setting up a place with our beach chairs and picnic but that came to a screeching halt once the music started. We shouldn't be able to hear our own singing over the band. There was no depth at all to the music as just one mono speaker faced the audience on our side of the stage. At one point the singer seemed to not even be able to hear himself. Some serious attention needs to be paid to the sound system. Quite honestly we saw Earth, Wind and Fire at the Puyallup Fair two years ago and it blew Ste Michelle out if the water. I won't be back.
The wines are ok, but the price is way too expensive for the quality. They are very strongly oriented towards European wine production, but at the same time demand a multiple price of comparable European wines. It is felt that more value is placed on names, awards and upscale ambience than on the quality of wine.
Was expecting a swanky place. Can't wait to visit in the summer. Wonderful location. Great landscaping. Plethora of selections. All were good!
Came here for a wine tasting on a sunny day outdoors. Service was excellent and the grounds are beautiful. Would definitely return.
Went here for Gary Clark concert. 1st time to this venue. Very nice outdoor concert bowl with exceptional sound for outdoor venue. Free parking available with free shuttle, a nice touch. Limited food but you can bring your own. No beer just wine, it"s a winery. Good times.
This is a fun place to take out of town guests! I love the free wine tour and the beautiful grounds. The service here ranges from average to good. We have done the tour twice and had one awesome tour guide and one completely uninformative tour guide. Now that the renovations are complete, the tasting room is a good place to hang out if you want to take your time while browsing for wine related gifts or pay for a few more samples then what is included with tour. I personally love the wines, though they only do the white wines here. So, if you only like red wines, then this place probably won't interest you that much. However, if you do like white wines, then the Chardonnay is to die for.
A wonderful place to sit down, have a picnic and a glass of wine with a friend. Great naturally landscaped grounds, too!
Had a great time our first time at St. Michelle. We went to the blue’s festival about a week ago and came back the following day to wine taste. The venue is absolutely stunning. The area that they have live music is very accommodating. You can bring chairs, umbrellas, little table, blankets, food, snacks, booze, they sell wine by the glass or by the bottle right outside near the stage, they also had many food venders outside as well and the prices were actually not bad. If you find a concert that you are big fan of they allow you to show up early and set out chairs to sit in line to be one of the first people in to get a good area in the grass to setup. (You can also drink in line too) ^__^ PARKING: Parking at the venue for a concert was about $30, the venue offers a free shuttle from a parking area a couple miles away. We will definitely be going back.
Laura was a fantastic host, very knowledgable and it was an absolute pleasure tasting the delicious wines of Chateau St. Michelle with her!
Went for the holiday market event. It was nice, there were some cookies and mulled wine and then other glasses and bottles for purchase that you could sip and walk around with which is fun.
Nice castle and winery tour.
Good tour, great wine...I appreciate everything was "Salmon Safe" ???? Still have NO CLUE what that means!!!
Highly recommend the complimentary tour, 30 minutes with 3 wine tastings - we left with a bottle!
An unbelievably fun place to go during the summer months. Grab a glass of wine, walk around the fields and enjoy the sun. They let you keep the wine glass as well. There should also be a 10/10 selfie tag for this area, you can get quite the photos on this property.
1st time to watch a show and it was better than I thought. Super organized and the lines moved very quickly for drinks and the bathrooms. Going to concerts in a more mature venue makes the experience so much better. I will keep coming back.
As always the Chateau does not disappoint!Queen tribute band, not bad.
This is not the experience store. This location is their flagship shop to showcase their wines. Staff here are heavily focused on sales. A majority of their staff stand at the counter. I've been here on both weekdays and weekends but rarely seen anyone proactively approaching to visitors to explain their wines. You can buy their wines at 30~40% discounted price at the grocery store. Having said that, this is a good place for those who are interested in State Washington wines.
I loved this winery. They close at 5pm, the only bad thing about it. I tried Ethos, wonderful wine!
Perhaps the most recognized wine house in Washington. It is family friendly. A must for out of town guests with a variety of social events, including summer concert series.
Beautiful grounds, very friendly staff and decent wines. One of the best places to go picnic with wine in the Seattle area.
Beautiful venue, very nice wines, but hellaciously crowded.
Busier than normal but they were still happy to take our money for the sampling. VERY skimpy pours, pours from the end of the bottle with LOTS of particulate, "too many people to provide clean glasses between wines", and didn't bother to explain the wines. Worst wine tasting I've been to.
Meant to write this 3 years ago when we were there. My wife and i love their Rieslings and when we were in Seattle decided to take a drive and get a tour. Really beautiful grounds and fun tour of the factory with wine tasting after. Sadly they were havi.ng a meeting the day we were there so didn't get to see the production line in action. Plus make sure you find the peacock on the grounds when you are there. I have pictures of it with feathers fanned out quite spectacular.
Amazing wines, everything is extremely neat, the best experience you can expect!
An unexpected excursion to wine country. Chateau Stephen Michelle Winery . Wine tasting from White to Red. A beautiful fall day with great company.
Really nice place to eat and taste fine riesling
The place is beautiful, definitely a chateau. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon with lots of excellent wine tasting options.
Train concert was excellent
Beautiful grounds here. Great wine and their concert list is first class. Well worth the trip.
Nice facilities, nice wine, horrible pours & somewhat rude wine servers. The drinks were Woodinville Whiskey size! Wait, no open WiFi? Removing another star.
Great time, great Venue. Would be 5 but they allow large chairs to be brought in, despite what they say online, so it really doesn't allow for a uniform viewing experience if you follow the rules. But the sound was great, the staff was amazing and the wine, of course, was perfect and plentiful. You are responsible for wearing your mask and for ensuring your spacing is enough, so be wise when choosing your seats. Saw the queen experience most recently, had a good time.
Having traveled quite the distance, Chateau St. Michelle was a must see for my husband and I. The visit is all about the ambiance, weather, and delicious wine. Go and enjoy and just prepare yourself to drop a pretty penny- just go in with that mindset. Our time at the winery and exploring the grounds did not disappoint! The staff were so kind and helpful. There was not a cloud in the sky. The gardens and grounds were immaculate. The shop was impressive. The food was pricey, but by far the best I’ve ever had at a winery. I had the ceviche and my husband had the clam and cheese dip. It was delicious! And the wine, oh the wine! The tastings are $25 for your flight of four, with a bubbly starter. On a sunny day, the whites hit the spot and we ended up buying a bottle of the Luxe to enjoy over the course of the afternoon. It was perfection! Go here for a quality experience with great food, wine, and scenery.
Most of Washington's leading wineries and the Red Hook Brewery have a presence here. Along with an assortment of excellent restaurants, Chateau St. Michelle's concert venue, and the outstanding Willows Lodge, Woodinville's Tourist District is a destination not to be missed.
What a great place for wine, tastings, and fun. We were here for the July 4th festivities. Super.
Excellent wine tasting experience. Beautiful setting inside and out, especially with the snow season! Austral being my favourite of the whites with 38% Viogner
The tour was very interesting! The grounds are beautiful! Definitely worth the visit!
A perfect place for a picnic, the grounds are so beautiful. All kinds of species of trees are really offering a magical atmosphere. On top of everything, summer concerts in this beautiful setting are really fun. Although wine tasting experience was dissapointing for me. Service staff is very friendly and professional. But the fact that food is really lame and self service comes disposable paper plates and plastic forks!!! Why??? Most of the clients would be happily paying more for a decent food service. The same thing for their great wine. Little karafs are set on the table for the customers to get their own pourings. I could not figure out why such a sophistacted organization would not take this most valuable part of the service seriously. The cheese and meat plate had 2 pices of cheese and two pices of meat with tiny bit graps and I think two or three wet macadamia nuts with plastic packaging served with crackers!!! Although overeall experience is great, self served lame food and self poured wine really diminishes the value.
So many wineries all in one place! Clean and friendly, very knowledgeable staff everywhere you go.
Great wine tour and wine sampling. Very informative tour, friendly staff, and you can't beat the price of free! I'll definitely be back to sample and buy some wine. I sampled the 2016 Muscat Canelli and fell in love!
Loved this place! They have a free tour with free wine samples. Outside has a nice scenery great for drinking during warm seasons. I would definitely recommend this place to any wine enthusiast!
Chateau Ste. Michelle is more than just the largest winery in America's second largest wine producing state.
Travelers Beware: If you have a Woodinville Wine Country Passport, which states a Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery Tasting is "Redeemable M-TH", you can only truly redeem W-TH since Chateau is closed M-T. They are not accepting any other days to redeem a tasting.
Nice winery and concert venue. The wine bottle prices were reasonable and the available food was also good.
Amazing Winery - we bought several bottles of Solari wine to take home and it seemed to taste even better when we got home!
Greatly enjoyed the Josh Groban concert at the winery!
While the wine was good or really good, the rules for the concert venue were ridicules. First $20 for parking was silly. Yes they had a free shuttle but with two small kids, that was not possible. The main reason I am giving it a two was the venue wouldnt allow us to pick our two small kids up so they could see the show. I have never been told I couldn't have my 2 year old on my shoulders before. We where standing in the back so we werent blocking other people views. We were also told that they couldn't play with a small blowup ball. Again I see this type of ball at all the other venues we have gone to. We got there a bit late so have a seat in the back. Normally this would be fine but the ground is a bit flatter so it was super hard to see the stage. In the end we will not go back to the concerts there. They could learn a few things from Mary Hill winery .
The wife loves Rose wine. Saw this at Sam's. Like the price and the color was for us was spot on. Open it tonight to have with dinner. Now I have to go back and lay enough for the summer.
I was very excited yesterday about having the opportunity to tour such a wonderful Winery such as Chateau Ste Michelle. Being in the food service industry for a large portion of my life, and letting people share the extraordinary wines that Chateau st. Michelle has to offer has always been very close to me. I was able to share so many photographs with great friends of mine still in wonderful positions in the Foodservice industry and they were very excited. Thank you Chateau Ste Michelle for such a great tour and such a great tour leader. Keep up the great work and I will always be a fan of your wines.
We had an amazing time with the VIP Library tasting. Our sommelier Emma was incredibly knowledgeable and matched our tasting to our pallets. She not only expanded our flight to include the limited edition artist series, she also introduced us to one of Ste. Michelle's Italian partners which we loved. I learned so much about wine, viticulture and Ste Michelle's heritage. I was extremely impressed and the VIP tasting is the way to go. Absolutely loved it!
Beware, this is not an actual winery. This is a venue place that maybe used to be a winery 50 years ago. Now you can enjoy reserve premium luxury experience there with overpriced wines of mediocre quality.
Great wines and awesome tasting (if you pay). We went on a Wednesday and received a personal Sensory Sojorn from a wonderful educator.
Excellent place to see a music show, events and wine tasting. Beautiful setting.
Love, love, love this winery! We have been Heritage Members for a couple years. If you're looking for a fun wine tour or just want to try a local WA winery, look no further. Each quarter you're able to taste new releases. Throughout the month there are multiple events for members and the public to attend. Great place to enjoy fine wine, music and friends.
Buyer Beware - Not a secure website!! I purchased wine on the website back in January however, my card wasn't charged until the end of March. No explanation for why or how Chateau St. Michelle still had my credit card information three months later. Do not recommend the website.
Very short tour with a friendly guide. Their wines can be purchased much cheaper at the nearby Trader Joe's.
Visited on an all-day wine tour and it was our favorite stop of the day. The wine tastings at the end of the tour are great, but definitely try a flight in addition to your tasting- worth it! They're known for their Rieslings. I never knew how many different kinds there were!
Fun way to spend an afternoon. Great wines, friendly staff, beautiful grounds
Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery offers great options for customers with different backgrounds and ages. Charming place to try new wines with friends or with your loved one. #localguides
I do not normally like red wines, but the ones created here are really excellent i bought three bottles to take home. That's a first!
Beautiful place to have a good time, taste and buy good wine from the region.
Definitely try the Ethos 2012 cab and go for the col solare tasting. The makers come from the lineage of the super Tuscany wine!
You can just walk-in, grab a table, and enjoy ???? with friends.
Seems like a great place for a formal event like a wedding, or you can just go there and enjoy a wine tasting. Great gardens and you could stay there hanging out with friends, family and even bring your dog. Bring some chairs to sit on the grass
Great wine and generous pours when wine tasting. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Beautiful grounds. It's worth coming, even if you're not into the excellent wine that they produce here
We like the Chateau Ste. Michelle wines we can find at home (Montreal, Canada), but we discovered an awesome Muscat! The place is wonderful!
Great place for a concert!!
My family had a great time here trying the wines and enjoying the incredible scenery. I had the red flight flight for $10. I wish I had gone at a less busy time so I could get more explanation on the wines, but it was packed!! I enjoyed the wines quite a bit.
Lovely grounds, great wine, a wonderful concert venue. It's hard to find better customer service and appreciation. Look for architecture, peacocks, grape vines, the trout pond, a sample of wine and happy people... Distinctively Western Washington.
Beautiful property. Free tour of the production that is done on premises with a tasting of three of their current wines. Also offer tastings of Col Solare wines.
Great place for any time of the year! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, delicious wines! Gotta do the tour! You learn so much!
Amazing service and tour, even though they push through hundreds of people a day. The wines are also fantastic!
Great wines, beautiful place. A little too "Napa" it seems. It's busy and some hosts are a little stingy with pours.
This was my first time here to see a concert. A friend offered me the opportunity to go with her and I jumped at the chance. If you're the kind of person that doesn't stay seated during a concert, you won't enjoy this place. I'm not a wine drinker but I bought a bottle of Riesling. Surprisingly it was chilled to the perfect temperature and actually very good. But for $30, it should be good!
This place is amazing! I'm not even a wine person, and I still enjoy visiting here. Their wines themselves are fantastic I'm told, but all the event they put on are what make this place so enjoyable. They do concerts at their ampitheater during the summer and bring in food trucks and vendors. They had a similar, smaller setup recently for Labor Day. They also do mimosas and small plates inside on Sundays. Every year there's a holiday tasting event, along with several other tasting and unveiling events throughout the year. Every one of these is fantastic! I highly recommend going for a visit during any of their events.
Amazing!! I can't wait to go back!!
Work sent me out to Seattle, so I was looking for something to do. I got super excited when I found out that Chateau ste Michelle is headquartered out of here, so I decided to make the 1 1/2 hour drive to see the grounds and do a tasting …
Great place for an outdoor concert. Wines a bit expensive for what you get, but they still have massive wine lines...
Great winery! They often have fun events too!
Great venue for concerts, with a very nice traditional tasting room and winery grounds. Not particularly for of their wines although they are well known for Rieslings; notably their Eroica, made in conjunction with Dr. Loosen
I was actually there for a concert or the first time and found it easy to navigate. Chairs aren't necessary, but might be more comfortable.
Nice staff, beautiful atmosphere and good quality wines.Clean restrooms, many food booths, great place to sit/relax and enjoy a concert.
Love this area. So many good tasting rooms and perfect if you have someone dropping you off and picking you up. Parking can be really difficult, especially on the weekends and during summer. Uber or a wine tasting shuttle are definitely the way to go. I recommend Brian Carter Cellars for some lovely European style blends and a nice outdoor area to sit and sip. Purple Cafe is also wonderful for a great meal and some wine. My mom and I love the Farmers Lunch.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery is a incredible winery name after my moms name. But overall this winery lived up to it's expectations. The name says itself. Their wine is available in my local wine store. It was nice to try their wine in person in Washington. The people we dealt with were very nice. The winery is large, and has a lot to offer. Highly recommend going here if you're in the Woodinville area.
We had an amazing wine tasting experience here. The tour was phenomenal
We have always enjoyed Chateau Ste. Michelle. As a long time club members with both CSM and Cole Solare we visit every time we come back to Seattle area. The sit down reserved tasting at Cole Solare is very organized with highly efficient and informed staff. Great wines with wonderful people, what else can you ask for?
Crowded but it’s beautiful. I enjoyed a glass of wine.
Nice quick tour! They teach you how to taste wine correctly.
The Chateau wine has always been deliciously consistant at a decent price. Visiting the actual winery was a cery pleasant experience with tastings and attention to their customers. Visit them you'll be glad you did.
Friendly, informational staff support a great wine tasting experience. Do the tour for a free glass of wine. ????
Wow, amazing winter snow day service and top notch hospitality!! We went the the vineyard Monday and due to the snow, the tasting room wasn't opening for two hours. The main lodge door was open so we popped in and the only person there was Mary Kae, a senior wine consultant. She let us in the club member bar and let us sample the wines only available to that elite membership. Wonderful wines, engaging conversation (I brought my nephew and his wife from out of state). Left warm, revived and with a few select bottles. Can't say enough about Mary Kae's hospitality, it was like being in her living room, with a huge selection of amazing wine:)
The winery offers a variety of options for people of different age groups. We have a 30 min guided tour and then a lot of fun activities with wine pairings and tasting. The winery hosts events every Tuesday and there are concerts too..Lastly there are Peacocks in the campus !!!
This is such a great place to spend an afternoon, especially during spring, when the gardens are in bloom. They sell their excellent wine, and they have a beautiful, newly renovated tasting room. They also have a wine club and regular classes. Outdoors there are spaces for picnic, lawn games or just spend time with a good book. Definitely worth the visit.
Mary Kae was awesome. Great personal customer service at a time when you guys were super busy. Thank you Mary Kae!
Col Solare tasting was fantastic. Great staff. Sherry and Kate were wonderful.
Amazing on a sunday afternoon. Very nice staff, great wine, relaxing atmosphere and not too crowded.
This is a wonderful place to tour. Our tour guide of the winery was probably one of the best guides I have had for any tour. She was knowledgeable and thorough about explaining the process. The tour is free to go through their factory as well as a sampling room and beautiful estate.
I'm not really sure how to rate this; I hate the wine, but I love the atmosphere. It is a gorgeous estate, but I wouldn't pay more than $8 for a bottle from this winery, and they have some on sale for over $20. It seems odd to me.
My husband and I attended a concert on 7/30/16 we thought it was supposed to be smooth jazz artists. Boy, were we let down. It was the worst concert I've ever been to. The female singers were bad and the second one that sang was giving her political views on stage. There were lots of people booing and leaving. She just continued to keep singing and it seemed like she would never get off the stage. Finally my husband and I couldn't take it anymore. We quickly packed up our stuff and left. I wished we could've gotten a refund. I hope that get someone else to book the concert in the future but not sure if we will attend anymore.
Meh. They have the volume and the considtency, but need to bring some quality. If their wine was nearly as beautiful as their tasting room. Great stop for tourists though.
This winery was wonderful. It is beautiful from the moment you arrive. Everyone is extremely nice and the free tour/limited tasting is unique for the area. Highly recommended! (Wayne was a great tour guide and let us in on all the secret tips!)
We so enjoy our time here! Fabulous!
Very beautiful place, good wines. Don't miss the music festival they have annually with great stars.
Love catching live music performances here. The casual environment with friends, wine, and great music is always enjoyable.
Here for the Counting Crows and a tad bit of wine and cheese. Always a great place to enjoy a summer evening
A great venue for concerts. Clean restrooms, many food booths, great place to sit/relax and enjoy a concert. They offer off site parking and will shuttle you in to the Winery. Can also purchase bottles of wine to enjoy the concert. Some deli foods like meat/cheese plates, packaged cookies, and other small items for consumption.
Fabulous winery with fabulous staff. I recently dealt with Kim who was extremely helpful and far exceeded my expectations for ordering/delivering wine. Thank you!
What a great winery! The grounds are gorgeous. We did a picnic and also wine tasting. For $10, you get to sample 4 wines
If you like wine, picnicking and a romantic location this the place for you. A knowledgeable staff without the snobbery or robbery
The wine tasting was absolutely wonderful. i found my fav white wine and a fav red
Great wines. Cool place to do a show. Love the ducks, the rainbow trout and the peacocks.
Very disappointed in my visit to this winery. I was visiting from Indiana..this is one of the places I most wanted to visit as they have some of my favorite wines. I understood there would be restrictions due to Covid-19 but for the price …
The staff there was very helpful and knowledgeable. The tours are free and there are several options available for your individual preference from 5 sample tasting $15/person to custom bottling your wine. The grounds are immaculate and they have a summer concert series.
Did a wine tasting there and we were well taken care of. They knew there stuff and gave us the run down of everything. Beautiful gift shop as well with some neat items!
We had an amazing wine tasting experience and later we were purchasing a case of wines but unfortunately the checkout process didn’t allow us to do that in smooth way. First they don’t take cash at all (that we still can understand in these times) but then we tried using Apple Pay and the payment went through on our end but because they didn’t see it on theirs they were quick to dismiss our business and very willing to just cancel our whole Purchase of $350. The cashier was very nice and she was trying her best but the manager said that I should be the one to call apple. She was so rude that she was ready to just lose a large order just like that. Overall the experience was amazing but left us with a bitter taste which makes not want to come back.
We are here while waiting for our hot air balloon adventure. They have such a rich history steeped in wine culture and locale. We enjoyed ourselves and bought a few souvenirs. We will definitely come back
Had a complimentary tour of winery. An amazing tourist attraction. Plenty of wine to go around. Definitely will be returning. Great employees, family friendly.
Came to the Summer concert and paid for a section (lawn section). When we got there that section was all gone and we had to go further to the back corner. Not exactly what I was expecting. You you have sections, then they should mark them to have some sort of organization. It seemed like people were just anywhere they wanted. Also the food was way overpriced! Wanted to experience Chateau Ste Michelle but got just another overpriced venue.
Chateau Ste. Michelle is the oldest winery, located in Woodinville, Washington, 40 mins from Seattle. It produces Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot, Riesling, and winemaking classes. The tasting rooms are exceptional. I would highly recommend going early and spending a half day. Make sure you make reservations ahead of time. #travelendlessbeauty
Don't come here if you want authentic wine tasting...there are better, smaller wineries to experience... not worth the fee.
If you are thinking about doing a tasting, don't waste your time or your money. The tasting was $25 each to taste 4 wines. This is the equivalent of paying $25 for 8 ounces of wine. There were 4 of us so we spent $100 to taste/drink 32 ounces of wine. We could have bought 2 bottles of better quality wine (including St. Michelle) for less than the $100 we spent to taste mediocre wine.
An incredible place for an outdoor concert. I make it a point to go at least once each summer. Just a wonderful mellow vibe, chilling on the lawn listening to live music and sipping on good wine.
Great place for concerts. Saw Chicago , steve miller and a few other groups. Fun times
Attended one of their outdoor concerts, great venue. All the reserved seats are extremely close to the stage. And you can drink great wine while enjoying the concert.
Went for a concert. We had lawn general seating, which was fun. Bring your own food and blanket, low back lawn chairs etc. Although there is food for purchase, most people I saw brought their own. There is wine by the glass or bottle for purchase or bring your own. (Their brand only, which is fine because they have a very good wine selection. ) It was a very fun and festive atmosphere. Get there early! They open the gates two hours before the show, they do security checks as well. We saw several late comers looking for a spot on the grass to set up as we sat and sipped wine and snacked. There were plenty of restrooms so the lines moved fast during intermission. Can't wait to do it again.
Tasted a couple of nice wines on the tour. It seemed rushed, probably because it was the last tour of the day. A flight of five wines is $15. I passed on that because I like to linger.
Didn't have reservations but was able to order some artichoke, crab dip and a red wine they will open for you to go sit outside. Wine is wonderful. Food is overpriced. Not much of a snack area for a wine tasting in the sun of your own.
We sampled a Chardonnay, the 50th Anniversary Cabernet, and a limited 2016 Muscat Canelli.
Great wine and yummy food.
Did the brunch box experience and it was absolutely worth it. Four mimosas + a super cute and delicious brunch. We will be returning to do this again very soon!
Everything was wonderful, the baked brie ,was awesome. We sampled each other's dishes, so good, the crab cake Benedict was fabulous. We didn't have anything that wasn't absolutely great. The service was wonderful too.
Did a temp job and pretty sure nobody washed their hands and I would rather make my own wine before drinking the amount of discharge everybody put off into the atmosphere around their chateau.
Beautiful huge winery with expansive landscaped grounds. Looked and felt like a French chateau, very chic, beautiful contemporary tasting areas, bistro and gift shop. Great atmosphere, for an afternoon picnic on the beautiful grounds with wine and friends. Good place to take out of town guests. They also have outdoors concerts in the summer. Check schedules and reserve well ahead. They fill out very quickly.
Awesome service especially toward military! One of my favorite wineries
Beautiful venue for an auction! Don't really care for their wine.
Beautiful facility, great wine host, thin wine.
This is a great way to start your wine tasting adventure! The grounds are gorgeous, and the tour offers lots of tips for how to taste wine like a professional. A definite bonus is that the basic tour/tasting is free, you have to pay for most in the area.
A beautiful winery with excellent selections.
Great place to visit and I would highly suggest everyone come out to this winery and visit. The tasting room is right to the right of room.
So crowded and did not get to choose the wine I wanted try. For example, I wanted to try their Rieslings, but they were not on the flight menu. Also, did not have the option to order a full glass of wine, once I found something I liked. The food was very good and delivered quickly but the kitchen closed before my friends could order at 3:00.
We are from Pennsylvania and have been familiar with Chateau Saint Michelle as a Washington state winery "name " for many years. We have always regarded Chateau Saint Michelle as the premier winery on the west coast....even regarding all the wineries in California. My daughter and son-in-law live here and took us to this winery on our first visit here. It didn't disappoint!! The tour was brief and yet interesting. The wine tasting was fun. Jeanine was extremely personable and yet informative. This is a "must see" for tourists coming to this area. There are many wineries here but this is the winery.
Always helpful staff, keep up the great work.
The grounds are stunning! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing but smiles and delicious wine!
Awesome grounds, great wine. We miss the old trees that used to stretch over the foot path by the pond.
Beautiful grounds, wonderful winetastings.. Perfect visit! Thank you, Salvatore, for the wonderful French champagne winetasting education!!
Geat wine and Great service! The people that work there help me with all my wine needs. The food is very good!
5/5 wonderful experience! Not only is the estate beautiful but the staff is very friendly and knowledgable. We did the free tour and the estate tour which was very reasonable for the price. Total we got about 5-6 wine tastings with the two tours combined. A great thing to do as a local and tourist.
Sad to say The Chateau experience was not like it used to be! Parking fee went up to $25 per car, Waited 2 hours in line to get in, new rule you can't bring outside beverages EVEN CHATEAU WINE, they closed the wine shop early so we couldn't even get in to get our favorite wine to have in line, they did offer 7 wines for presale but the line took WAY too long, was WAY too crowded once we did get in, the food options are TERRIBLE! All that said, we still had a great time because the band was excellent. But come on Chateau! This is absolutely our favorite concert venue. No clue what is causing all the changes/glitches but they are definitely NOT improvements. I sure hope they figure it out before our next event! We for sure will be getting in line several hours before gates open, will bring our own wine to enjoy in the line (can't bring it in) AND will pack a picnic. Bring back the food vendors!
Interesting place to visit. A little expensive. Great wine selections.
Good but we came there at the wrong time right before concert place was packed with people. For wine tasting should go there during the week days.
The winery grounds are much more extravagant than we expected. We didn't have time to explore or do the tour, but we'll be back for that. We went there with plans to do a tasting and buy a bottle or two of wine. The first couple of employees that greeted us were very friendly but not really all that helpful. We were disappointed that the tasting flight that was offered didn't include any wines we were interested in, and we nearly walked out without trying or buying anything. Then Rose Marie started chatting with us. She completely turned our experience around. She was able to customize a tasting flight for us and help us find something that we truly liked. Our tastes are fairly specific, so I'll admit we were a challenge to please. But she took the time to work with us. The result is that we found 3 wines we really liked and left there with 7 bottles! Thanks Rose Marie!!
What fun!!! Great wine, lovely surroundings, and great people working there. What more can one ask???
Plenty of tables open but the personal is not able to accommodate us with the house wine tasting. Instead they pushing us to take the Spanish wine tasting ???? Will not do business with this supermarket grade "châteaux" anymore.
Beautiful grounds. Almost historic looking. Their wines are first rate and winning awards. Great place for the concerts they have.
Open for a 50th anniversary and hosting a concert and stop selling wine at 7:30. Come on! It's a winery. Time to move to the many winery around you, they are still selling wine after 7:30. What wrong st Michele. Thing your so special? I will never be a wine club member with you.
Beautiful site, friendly staffs and great wine.
Excellent winery tour and tasting. Worth the visit and joining their wine club.
Great wine and atmosphere
This place is nice. There is a large outdoor area that they open up for various concerts throughout the summer. The wines are good and they have a lot of unique and artsy trinkets for sale. At Xmas time they have lots of ornaments and Santas for sale which make for good gifts. If you can hold out, these treasures are 50% off their usually high prices the week following Christmas. I stocked up on some of this stuff last year to be giving to the old people in my family this year as presents.
I love this winery especially the free concerts on Tuesdays ..so much funding food or buy from the good truck...Great outside venue with friends ..dancing or just listening.
Beautiful grounds , pleasant atmosphere for wine tasting. They also have a summer concert series that is worth checking out
We saw the Australian Pink Floyd concert on a Friday night, traffic was amazingly easy and the rain held off until the very end. Bring your beach chairs and some snacks, unopened non alcoholic drinks, blankets and an umbrella just in case. Their wine is pricey but excellent. They did have food vendors as well. The shuttle bus worked out great saving the 20.00 parking fee. It's a fun venue and they have it down, and it's much easier than heading to the Tacoma Dome
chateau ste michelle is large with tons of area to enjoy wine outside. There is inside dining in their cute market and kitchen area. We were told that some people bring their tents all day and let their kids take naps (or themselves) after running around in the grass, eating, and enjoying wine. I highly recommend the special area designated for #redwinelovers. However, bring your own food as that was a disappointment of you order from the menu. The amount of wine bottle selections waiting for you to take home is outstanding and enough to make you want your own cellar.
Saw a concert here with ziggy Marley. The grounds remind me of being in Napa. Staff is super friendly, wine tasting stations were setup everywhere with no lines, plenty of great little spots to relax and enjoy around others or secluded. This is a perfect daytime date location
I'm so angry and disappointed in Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery. We had reservations and were treated like second class citizens. They put us at off to the side not even in the tasting room while other non minority members were in the tasting room side. We asked to move and and told them were completely booked so we couldn't not move. Tables in the tasting room were tables of 4. Which prior we had it booked for 4. Ok fine let's sit next the the fire distinguisher. So then walks up 2 non minorities. Guess where they were they were seated? At the table of 4 inside the tasting room. Hmmmm... We spoke to someone higher and they assured us that it's not because the color of our skin. Well it sure feels that way. Of course an apology but a little too late the damage was done.
Love St.Michelle! Fabulous wines available for tasting. Informative staff, great classes and pairing events help increase your understanding of their excellent product. Love it!
James' knowledge and customer service is superb. Without a doubt we will be back to enjoy these wines and James' company.
We love going here for concerts and to pick up their wonderful wine! Great venue!
The absolute best and most beautiful winery we've ever experienced, anywhere! Love this place. You WILL be impressed.
Beautiful facility with Chateau Ste Michelle, Col Solare, Ste Michelle company winery tasting; education areas; a great wine shop and wonderful Summer Concerts.
We visited the facility last week on vacation with our family. Christ T. meet us at the door & introduced us to a sampling. He then explained how the operation worked. We tried a flight & then was visiting with Chris about our tastes. He stopped what he was doing & recommended a few other choices. He went above and beyond just to make us feel at home. Chris even helped us ship 2 cases of wine home & was just amazing. I recommend visiting as the facility was beautiful, clean, and very friendly. Thanks Chris T. for your outstanding customer service.
Was absolutely beautiful and had a great wine and meat and cheese platter.
Great venue for a concert! Great wine!!
Seeing Josh Groban here was epic!! the wine was awsome --> will be back.
Concerts at Chateau Ste Michelle are always great!
Went for a concert. Never felt safer and the wine was excellent. Must go back????
Nice tour of the winery, 3 tastings during the tour. Ends in the wine store which offers many choices not available outside if the winery.
Went on a romantic date with my man and was the best time! Especially thanks to our server Will! He was hands down the best service! So helpful, kind and funny! Definitely will be back again!
I love jazz and have attended the all of the jazz festivals there since 2004. Recently, I went heard about the jazz function on July 27 and went online to order a ticket. I inserted Chateau St Michelle and clicked on Chateau St Michelle - Official Tickets Source Online. I clicked on this and then went to July 27, clicked ordered a ticket. The cheapest ticket at that time was 73.00 with a picture of a seating area. The bottom line is I paid 108.00 for tickets and then found out via my neighbor that they got tickets for 54.00 for their lawn seat. I paid double to sit on the ground! I think that you should have the Woodinville Tickets - Official Tickets Online removed as it quite misleading and perpetrating what I would translate as borderline fraud. I would have never willingly paid 108.00 to sit on the lawn had I not been deceived to do so. Their name should not be associated with Chateau St. Michelle if they are not representing you. I would like a second ticket to make up the difference of what I paid or be interested in a full refund. Rather than rate this issue as poor or fair, I would rate it unacceptable at this point.
Wonderful experience! Love it. We are members, so wine testing was free !
Beautiful venue, no beer available on sight though. Check the rules though as I think you can bring your own if packaged right.
We had a great time !!! Counting crows are awesome!!!
Please beware buying tickets to the events here. Ticketmaster deals with the ticketing and if you aren’t extremely careful they will sell your ticket to a 3rd party which you won’t realize until you’ve received an email from 3rd party upon receipt of money you thought was going to Ticketmaster. If the event is canceled like Chris Isaak was this weekend you won’t receive a refund. Only a “store coupon” with an undisclosed expiration date.
Australian Pink Floyd sounds just like original band I’ve heard in 1970!Row B 4,5 are in center. Sound of the drum beats can knock you out of the chair but was fantastic. It was sold out . Setup is well done. If you have a reserved seat you can park fairly close to the stage. Allow plenty of time for security check line. Unopened water bottle are ok. We had chairs . It would be challenging if it were raining. We lucked out!
Great & beautiful winery! Staff was excellent & going through the wine tasting class was excellence. Staff is knowledgeable about the wines & the history of the winery.
Loved this place, friendly and informative staff. Terrific wine selection. So much to do and see there.
The winery and venue were great. Unfortunately unruly drunks in the audience ruined the evening. Security very visible until later in the evening and the brawl that almost resulted should have been obvious. Disappointed. It was great to see Steve Miller Band and really liked Marty Stuart. Too bad about the idiots that ruined the evening for a number of people.
Summer shows are so fun. Indian food booth is awesome.... love this place. Chardonnay is the best !
Nice setting plus great wines. What else do you need? Avoid concert days, that's all
The grounds are pretty but the workers are awful. The wine tastings are pre-selected and cannot be altered. You also have to pay for tastings where across the street at Columbia Winery they are free. I overheard the staff being extremely rude to the guests next to us and talking down to them when they asked if they could switch something out on their tasting list. In addition to the awful atmosphere the wine is mediocre at best and overpriced. Do not go here, you will be disappointed.
My wife and I visited the winery back in February from IL right before my deployment. We had a wonderful experience and bought some nice bottles of wine to take back home to enjoy later. We have a collections of wines from all over the world so know how to store them properly. After returning from my deployment I opened one of the bottles to celebrate with my wife but it was filled with mold. When she first poured a glass she said it was thicker than usual (looked like light purple grapefruit juice) so I looked and the cork was molded through and after pouring out the bottle the inside was lined with mold. I sent a message to provide feedback and disappointment but never heard back. It was an unfortunate result to a great in person visit. Especially if you’re going to spend the money and go through the trouble of traveling with bottles, find a way to check for quality.
Club room needed more help. Took forever to receive pours. Packed with people. Room is a poor use of space. Bar needs to be in middle of room so customers can circle around it.
A wonderful property with an entertaining, informative tour. The tasting area is unique, with multiple tasting rooms that focus on specific products. Friendly, knowledgeable staff made for a fun afternoon.
Get here early!! It was absolutely packed and I can see why. The grounds are fantastic and plenty of space to roam. We didn't even have a chance to taste the wines but the ones I've had in restaurants have always been great. I will be back when we can stop here first!!
I love their Muscat Canelli wine and have ordered 3 times for shipment to Wisconsin....that is until the latest order I placed. It shipped 7/27 UPS 2nd day air with ice pack included for arrival 7/29. It did not arrive and trying to track it was an issue as they gave me an incorrect tracking number. The person that took my order was new and entered my address incorrectly. It finally showed up today, 8/3, not in the original box and the address was altered a few times - and after sitting in a hot warehouse for 6 days. I refused shipment as heat is the worst thing for wines. I was so looking forward to the 2018 Canelli!! I wish I could buy it locally.
Good winery and surprisingly very family friendly. I never feel uncomfortable bringing my toddler there, she likes the tours and the gardens. It’s nice having a nice place to go to that doesn’t scoff at the fact that I have a child with me (like most nice restaurants). Oh and the wine is good too :)
Excellent Concert venue! Beautiful grounds, good wine and music, an unbeatable combination.
Very impressive. Did the free tour. Beautiful grounds. Extremely nice staff. Free wine tasting but have always enjoyed their wines
I love this place more and more every time I go. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable staff!. They have concerts and holiday events. I have nothing bad to say.
I have enjoyed their summer series of free concerts on their lovely lawns. Bring a picnic, enjoy a bottle of wine with friends.
While their stage has great sound and a great view for concerts, the service around that was TERRIBLE, I REPEAT, TERRIBLE! It was 15 minutes to show time, and the lineup of people still extended all the way back out as far as the parking lot, it was that slow. I may wine tour here, but I will NEVER return here for another concert.
Great complimentary tour. I did not enjoy too much the wines during the tour, but enjoyed the wine flight tasting from their Italian partnership. Thank you!
Good selection of wine, great tours with personable leaders. Usual price point with wines unavailable outside of the winery.
Bubbly Bar was a fun experience... I think you should try it and definitely try the flavored cubes! Loved all 3!
Family has been wine club members as well as devoted fans of their summer concerts for years. Great winery with nice ambiance and beautiful property.
Enjoyed walking the beautiful grounds and learning the history with a very knowledgeable tour guide. Free tasting at the end of the free tour, which was unexpected but totally appreciative. Very friendly staff with great tasting wines. I would have given this winery five stars, however, my companion had an unpleasant experience afterwards with the "who-seemed-awesome-at-the time" tour guide when trying to give her a tip to show our gratitude, who instead did not care at all for our compliments and rudely dismissed him.
What a beautiful facility. We did the free tour, about 30 minute total time. I learned a little bit, and got to see some of what goes on in the process of making & bottling the wine. Very worth it. We will be going back, several times.
FABULOUS new variety of tasting room opportunities to experience many excellent wines in a very cordial atmosphere.
Went on a wine tasting. Weather was good, no rain.
Chateau St. Michelle was already one of my favorite wines and our visit to the winery only strengthened that. Our tasting sommelier Will, was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. I came here on my birthday, during COVID, and it was one of the best birthday experiences I’ve had! We ended buying the 2014 Tempestade (????????) and a bottle of the 2015 limited release Malbec, which is one of the most amazing Malbec’s I’ve had. Both were recommended by Will and he was spot on after I offered my wine preferences! The grounds are gorgeous and the staff were all excellent, I will definitely be back!
The first server we had at the tasting room was less than helpful. After he handed us off to the second employee it was much more entertaining and pleasant. The ground were beautiful, wine was fine. The price for tasting was reasonable, but the per cost for a glass was a little high
I had the most wonderful experience with their customer service over a mere T Shirt after returning to IL. Wine tasting was great and reasonably priced we even got to keep our glasses. The place cross the street was much more expensive and charged me $3 for the wine glass to keep. We can not wait for our next visit ????❤️
It's not really what I would call a tourist district it's more of a huge selection of wineries crammed into a very small area with a pizza place and a couple other reatraunts and very little parking
Parking can be a circus. One pointer sent us one direction and second employee yelled at us for going that was. 11/2 hours in line. Decent sound system for Chicago concert. Leaving the parking lot was as long as the wait in line.
Short trip to Seattle & decided to visit the winery with my husband's mother (who is 90 years old). We all enjoyed the tour. Everyone was very accomodating & offered a wheelchair for her comfort on the tour. The grounds were parklike & many people were enjoying wine & food on the ground. We purchased several bottles of wine as gifts that were very reasonably priced. Would recommend this stop to anyone.
We had an awesome experience with Laura. Opting for a private tasting and walking away with wonderful bottles and a premium membership. Ibhighlybrecommend!
This is an amazing place to see a live concert outdoors. The winery is amazing lots to choose from well run parking lot and lots of staff to help you. Lots of security on hand always feel safe. I would have given it five stars however I feel the prices at the food court were to expensive. Best to bring your own food in. Also get there early cuz it gets busy.
Their wine was quite good, but having been there we would probably not go back. While they serve a quality product, the touristy atmosphere made it unappealing going forward.
The grounds are breathtaking and lovely to take a picnic or a stroll. The winery is light, spacious, with lots to see. We did a wine tasting - our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive - and the wines were delicious! I highly recommend a visit!
Our server Martin was Amazing. Definitely worth the time and drive.
Not a good experience today. Took 45 minutes just to pick up my wine. Wasn't very busy. Felt very stuffy there.
After several years I am giving up on these concerts. Parking is now $20 on top of your ticket. For that you get the privilege of sitting two hours sometimes after the concert. That is after two hours in the ridiculous security line to get in. Literally you have to spend 8 hours so you can sit behind some drunk jerk who talks screams and spills stuff all over you. Security disappears and does virtually nothing to monitor this after the two hour pat down. We got here at 4 and did not get in the venue until 6:45. We are done
Beautiful winery!! Definitely worth visiting if your traveling to WA state. The grounds are gorgeous. The wine tasting was fun and wine tour was interesting! Our tour guide was wonderful. We bought a bottle of wine afterwards and enjoyed it on the grass listening to live music. Definitely a great hangout spot for the whole family!
We bought tics to see Steve Miller. Good tickets. On one of the two nights he was performing. It was a Big Deal for us, as my husband referred to me as his Quicksilver Girl when the song came OUT. (Yep, we're old). Problem was, we went on the wrong night. As we approached to hand in our tics, we were told that we could buy lawn tics for 50.00 each but that we would not be allowed in otherwise. Poor manners, poor treatment, never again for this place. We were sorely disappointed.
I did the "There's a Riesling for Everything" tasting with my boyfriend with little expectations of actually liking very many. However, the wines were all delicious, especially with our food pairings, and Julio (our expert) was very nice and knowledgeable. I enjoyed it so much and we purchased 3 of the wines after!
My favorite winery!!
Went for my first concert and it was really a nice atmosphere.
No signs to explain how to get to the store - I was driving around for 15 and nobody from the employees tried to help. When I finally found the store the same thing repeated - nobody tries to help. Finally I found what my friend wanted, but I am not sure about the year. Instead of asking if I found everything OK, the cashier asked surprised if that is all. Yes, that is all I am not going there again. Snoby, pompous place.
Have been trying to get a hold of someone to answer some questions for the past few days. I have called multiple times, left voicemails and emailed them. I have still not received any response. This is unfortunate because I really wanted to gift my in-laws a wine tour experience. But I guess I will have to find another winery that does want my business and I’m glad I didn’t go through with this idea just by the reviews below sounds like they are always super busy and have rude employees.
Was not happy with my overall experience here. I ordered a cheese and meat patter and it little to no cheese and mainly nuts and grapes. They didn’t really take the time to go over each wine, it was kind of rushed through.
I just visited the Chateau St. Michelle Winery and it was great! My parents and I went on the tour, and Katie the tour guide was phenomenal! I have always loved the Chateau St. Michelle Riesling’s and was so excited to try the Riesling flight. However, when I got there a special was going on at the tasting counter where they were only sampling 3 white wines, none of which were their Reislings. I was very disappointed, as my parents and I came all the way from Iowa. The lady behind the tasting counter was not accommodating to what we wanted to try, even though we had to pay $30 for the tasting. I was so upset! After the tour we found Katie in the retail area and asked her a few questions and I told her I was unhappy about the special wines and not getting to try any of the Reislings. She actually found an open bottle of Eroica and let us sample it! We ended up buying 3 additional bottles of wine because of it! She was so helpful and just all around nice, we will definitely be back!
Beautiful grounds, tasteing room and many different types of wines to try.
Chateau Ste. Michelle has always been one of my favorite wineries. Vacationing in Seattle this was a must. The tour was informative and the grounds were beautiful. In the tasting room I was able to try their full line of wines. They serve a limited menu for those who would like something. The interior was tastefully done. If you have the time this is definitely a must on your winery tour.
Beautiful property. Plenty of space to enjoy your wine either indoors or outdoors. We had a table inside which was unfortunately close to the restrooms & the food counter. So there were lots of people walking past & around our table all the time. Hated that!! Wines were good. Something for everyone. Few food options as well. Our server Martin was great. The 4 stars are for his service. Was sad & disappointed to see the peacock and peahen in a cage.
Wonderful atmosphere. Fantastic, courteous, friendly employees. Go for wine tasting. Stay for lunch.
Biggest winery in Woodinville, but they do it well. It's worth visiting just for the grounds alone. The concert events during the summer are fun. And the wine is great. Because it's a mass market winery, their wines range from cheap (and only ok) to fancy and expensive, so make sure you move away from the cheapest ones. Highly recommend joining the wine club if you're local, to take advantage of priority on events and to get access to the limited run wines.
Chateau Ste. Michelle is a sizeable, bougie facility with their means of production on display for customers. If this is interesting to you, then consider a visit. However, if you seek quality wine for a fair and reasonable price, I'd look elsewhere. Ste. Michelle's product is not worth the above market average prices they demand.
The way traffic and lines were controlled for entry was unthoughtful and messy. No beer served, only wine and cider for the concert.
Nice for concerts and an attractive established setting, the only thing that didn't appeal to me personally was the overcrowded, noisy, commercialized mall like atmosphere.
Lovely vineyard and vines. Beautiful atmosphere and great staff. Love this wine.
What a disappointment to pay $50 for the two of us to taste out of test tubes and 1 wine glass sitting in a cheesy hotel lobby with curtains that feel like senior prom. Take a selfie at the front gates and walk the grounds for free, then go taste some really good wine elsewhere in the dozens of wineries close by. Most other wineries in Woodinville wave your tasting fee with a purchase of only ONE BOTTLE. Chateau should be ashamed of themselves for charging exorbitant fees and ignoring guest experience just because they are a name brand. Not worth the time or money!
Not bad odd to get into. But loaded quick. Nice and pretty scenery. First time I've seen flower and plants between each dock. Nice guys in shipping though.
This place had an amazing tour and everyone was so friendly here. We were on our honeymoon and they even helped us toast to it! Also beautiful winery overall!
A lot of friends have raved over Chateau St Michelle and their concert series. Never been a huge fan of their wines but my boyfriend and I figured we would give it a shot. We split a couple tastings and remain disappointed. Wines very over priced with low quality characteristics. Water stations were not available, which seems odd with a privately owned venue. We were told we needed to walk around the building to the store entrance to access the restroom, only to find that where we had initially tried to enter was right next to the restrooms. Because we weren't "Reserve" we weren't able to access the building at that entry. The overall experience was a disappointment with the severe corporate atmosphere. Although the concert was enjoyable we chose to leave early based on our experiences that afternoon with zero intention of returning.
Oh. My. Word! We got the 2016 Limited Release Syrano Syrah (Rattlesnake Hills) and it is spectacular!!! They deliver as well.
I would give it compared to other winery tasting rooms 3 stars. It was overall too crowded and service was not as premised. I've had much better experiences from South Africa to California.
Great place to enjoy a picnic and relax. Nice scenery and the winery store has a great selection of wines and other snacks if you don't bring your own.
We had the MOST fabulous time with Rudy at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery!! What an education about the region. The wine tasting was fabulous! Highlight of our trip to Seattle!
you might as well stoop by if you are around - other wineries are in the region ... just a great experience of local culture for all passing by
Went to see concert to Jethro tull, very unorganized, took forever to get in, we could not take pictures and videos, we paid $75 & $20 bucks for parking . Should a been nice place for concerts, just like every where else greed ruins the experience. Can't beat the $15 buck in a center point casino cover bands.
Love the remodel they did. A totally open space where friends and family can enjoy a nice bottle (or two) of wine.
Really enjoyed the tour of this beautiful winery, although I will say that the tour was much more extensive and thorough a couple of years ago. Still informative, however, and you are still given samples - so that helps. :-)
Should be 4 rated but the people are exceptional, wine was ok , some way better of course but then we were looking at 50$ + per bottle The winery ambiance itself shines , but to say it all tastes out world class is not where we saw it. They do have the walls stuffed with different vintages , whites reds etc Recommended for the visit itself , wine maybe
Showed up with 15 minutes before closing. Told we could not taste any wine. We went 45 minutes out of our way to get there. I called and made sure we could taste until 5. We would have left at 5 with wine purchased but instead were refused service and will NEVER consider or recommend this wine again! Such poor service. Such a waste of my time and gas! Have an update a week later....Amy called from Chateau Ste. Michelle and was very interested in what happened so she could make sure it was corrected, and offered to do what she could for our inconvenience. Because of their response, I will give them another try when next in the area.
Rosemarie gave a very informative tour of the winery with samples of very tasty wines along the way.
Was there to experience wine tasting. Not only enjoyable but informative. Each tast of very good wine came with some insight of that wine.
WOW!!!!! You all have to go visit this place!!! I can't begin to describe the wonderful time we had here and at the John Legend Concert. The place is beautiful, the employees are MORE THAN WILLING to go out of their way to please you. Super organized, thousands of people and parking was so easy!!! I have to mention Lacey (A Manager and My Eastside People) and DaLinda Kyler. Two of the greatest employees an employer could ever have. Thank you for the quick tour, your smiles, the wine (best ever) and overall customer service. I promise to tell all my "Eastern Washington" friends about you guys! We will visit again very soon! Thank You Thank You Thank You A+++++
Attend a concert if you can. Serious bands on the docket!
Concerts are such fun! And the wine is wonderful!
This was a great experience! Lots of tasting options and the free tour was great! We enjoyed the grounds while sipping some amazing wine! Will try to get back here again for sure!
I love the grounds here BUT, the wines are really subpar for the most part and it is always crowded.
This is concert is an extreme fail of an experience. I don't understand why you would post rules on your website that say dancing and standing on sidelines only, and then not enforce the rules. i came to this venue with the expectation to be able to see the show. I have spoken to security about the issue and they were unaware this was even a posted rule on your website. I am extremely disappointed that I came here with the basic expectation of seeing a show, and all I get to do is stare at the person in front of my seats butt. If this is considered acceptable I will never attend your events again, and advise people against doing so. I am extremely disappointed those rules would be posted but enforced.
Renovations on the main tasteing rooms is spectacular.
We love their wines and the ambience. They have a registration requirement due to Covid-19 that seems to be booked out quite a ways out. As a member you can have your wines shipped or pick them up with the appointment.
Came in a couple weeks ago and was lucky enough to be get a walk-in table for a tasting. As someone who has worked in the service industry before, it's clear this place was severely understaffed. God bless our server who was busting her tail, doing her best to accommodate, she was clearly spread so thin. Meanwhile there was a cluster of employees who appeared to be supervisors with their arms crossed in the corner, just standing around rather than lending a hand -- shameful. Our server deserves the five stars (poor thing) but the place just seems mismanaged overall. P.S. For a winery... you make it awfully difficult to find exactly how and where to buy and drink wine. The place is a labyrinth.
Very pleasant experience. We had a wine blending session. It was a great learning experience and our group had a lot of fun. You get one white to taste and then you get 6 reds to blend to fit your tastes. You then get to make it and take a bottle home with you. For those with no wine tasting experience they explain how to do it.
This place was amazing. It is beautiful inside and out. The staff was amazing, they took time to explain the differences in wines or champagne. It was a great experience.
A wonderful winery and a fabulous outdoor concert! Friendly and informative. We loved us some Earth Wind and Fire and some great wine too!
Lovely wine selection. Tried the basic $15 wine tasting and got an incredibly detailed breakdown of each wine
Talk about sitting on the lap of Mother Luxury! My officemates and I went for an afternoon of frivolity and wine at the wineries around Woodinville and this was the crowning achievement of the afternoon. Grounds that are reminiscent of Downton Abbey and wines that will remedy years of repressed emotions can be found right here. Seriously, if you’re looking for a good-weather spot to relax and enjoy the company you’re with, this is a great spot at which to do it.
Ste. Michelle winery is the oldest winery in Washington state. Producing good quality wine. Also used as an event venue, the Chateaux grounds host a series of summertime concerts featuring top name artists from around the world.
Catch a tour while you're here! You get to wine tastings along the way on the tour. They also have wines that are exclusively found at the winery and are amazing!
Wonderful atmosphere, saw Nora Jones concert, it was perfect. Beautiful, great wine.
So great getting out for live music. Wine , good friends
We were somewhat disappointed with the tour. For one thing, there are no vineyards here. They are all in eastern Washington. The winery tour was rather short, but informative. It also came with three wine tastings. The place was absolutely packed. We got the last tickets for the tour. Make sure you come with plenty of time if you plan to take the tour on weekends when there are more people
Great concerts and events. Love the open garden area for kids to run around and for parents to hangout. And the wine is pretty good too.
This is definitely a must if you're in the area! Went there for a weekend getaway and had a blast there. Their tour is very informative, wine is exceptional and the atmosphere is perfect.
Fancy fun place. Didn't visit for fun. Was doing some work there. But by watching the visitors they all were enjoying themselves.
My husband and I were here for their summer concert series. It was the first time I had gone to a concert at CSM, and it was awesome. For those who don’t know, you bring lawn chairs and picnic baskets and set yourselves up in the lawn. There is a booth where you can purchase bottles of wine and drink it on the lawn while watching the band you came to see. It was really a fun, relaxing time! One hint though: bring a jacket. Once the sun went down, it really cooled off!
St Michelle Winery is the ideal outdoor venue for a concert--it's simply wonderful!
Bought into the wine club and they still charged me for the wine tasting and should of deducted the flight from my membership
Loved this winery. Wonderful experience, everyone friendly, i even signed up for club membership.
Great experience! You must do a Salon Experience. It was worth it the $30 cost. Intimate and informative about the various wine growing regions and how they differ. They are the third largest producer in the US. They offer tours and tastings and have concerts with renowned artists. A "must visit" if you're in the area. Loved it????
I'm sure there are some good wines here but what a tourist trap. Beautiful grounds. If you come, do it on a weekday
My wife and I went on a tour at Chateau and it was a beautiful setting. Wine was great. Our tour guide was awesome and Nancy in Enoteca was incredibly knowledgable about every wine she poured. For someone who is learning about wine, this was a great experience. Highly recommend!
Good as always. Wouldn't be members of it wasn't. ????
Kind of a pain in the tail. Over-marketed with too many competing messages. Very corporate feel. We walked into the tasting room (which was a cookie cutter affair) looked around a bit and left. Nothing seemed unique or special.
Like many things good in Seattle the charm of the summer concerts has gone by the waste side. No longer is it a layed back fun event. Tickets are poached and jacked up through Ticketmaster making them unaffordable.. In an effort to get more money, there are now more chairs than field. Not to mention our last experience . The staff was pushing people out and I tried explaining we had a disabled party in our group and someone was coming with the car. The response was "they won't be able to get in and you need to move." Well this caused all kinds of stress and arguing. The staff was rude and was more concerned about pushing us out than listening to our issue. This ended in a medical emergency. After that I cancelled our membership and have not purchased another bottle of their wine. As I mentioned, it's not worth going anymore. Which is a shame . My advice, don't waste your money.
A charming region with wine tasting rooms and a vacation town vibe. $5 tasting at Silver lake and $10 at Zerba's
Even during covid the winery has figured out tastings. The wine all tasted so good. The staff is so friendly. Go enjoy
We went for a girl's happy hour. Patrick was wonderful and told us thoughtfully and attentively about all the different tastings. They have yummy food plates and the setting is great during the rainy fall.
The grounds are beautiful, and worth a stop if you enjoy strolling and seeing the lovely buildings. The tasting room was pretty crowded, and the wines were not to our taste. Lots of souvenirs for sale, and snacks to go with wine. We attended the Moody Blues outdoor concert, and that was the best part of this visit! However, the wine offered at the venue was overpriced (and the only option, as we could not bring our own beverages). There is some (overprice) folding-chair seating down front, but the fun seating is on the lawn with a picnic!
I love this place. There is always room for kiddos to play while my hubby & I enjoy a good glass of wine
Great selection of wine and outside areas are well maintained making it enjoyable to have some wine and chill.
Went to a concert on the grounds and can not say enough about the quality of the experience. Well run and organized. Food tents and wine by the bottle. If you have the chance take this space in. The winery is a separate experience in and of itself. I highly recommend taking the tour and spend some time in the tasting room.
The tour was lame because the production line wasnt even running. The servers basically ignored us. The grounds were beautiful. Not planning on returning as we are from out of state.
Not a place to go if you actually want to enjoy the music. The winery is beautiful - had such great expectations for a relaxing evening. We have waited a long time to see Don Henley and the little bit of his performance we could hear over the loud drunks was amazing. But as the evening went on and people got drunker, they just started talking louder over the music. AND, this wasn't just a couple of people - it was consistent throughout the venue. For the life of me I can't imagine spending that much money to act like you're in a bar. I've attended a number of concerts recently - even some heavy metal large venue concerts - and the people at the winery were far more inconsiderate and obnoxious. The set up added to the poor sound quality. It seemed like the sound system wasn't set up to handle the space and rather than having walk ways around the perimeter there were people constantly standing up and walking through the crowd. Unfortunately, I have tickets to another show this summer - at least now our expectations are level set. That will likely be the last show we see there. Great place to party - lousy venue if you actually go to enjoy the music.
I am so very fortunate to have this winery just minutes away! It is beautiful and the wine selection is unbelievable!
Great wines and a great environment. I would suggest trying Col Solare for tasting if you love Cab based blends.
Beautiful winery. Great selection of wines and interesting tasting rooms. Easy to spend a few hours experiencing all there is.
