Foodie Friday was a great exsperiance. Live music, good wine and the food truck served up excellent fair even when they where slammed with orders. I highly recommend the exsperiance as it feels like you are far away from city life. My only recommendation would be for them to offer a few selections of craft beers for an alternative beverage option. Staff was excellent and friendly service was amazing.

Spierhead winery sucks…in that my damn auto-correct keeps changing the spelling. It’s S-P-I-E-R, named after the street the winery is located on. It’s at the top end of the road, the head you could say. This is another example of a winery that probably brainstormed a name for their winery for all of one minute and decided on the first thing that popped in their head. Wait, I wasn’t saying the winery sucks. Why would anyone say that? Maybe it could be a disappointment if you came here after visiting Camelot Winery and The Vibrant Vine (which we did). However, we were sophisticated enough, cultivated even, to rate wineries individually and judge them on their own terms. And Spierhead is a worthy member of the Fab Five, also sharing space with The View and House of Rose. It has what I believe to be the best view of the lot. It’s the less gimmicky of the Fab Five, pushing their wines foremost to customers. I admit we might have skipped this one if it wasn’t for the recommendation from Camelot, reinforcing that I am referring to the winery and not the real Camelot (wait…did I just say “real” Camelot?), and that would have been a shame. The wine was good, the location picturesque, and it’s a quick hop from other locations. It is by no means the worst of the Five (I’ll keep that to myself), and yes, it does play backup to Camelot and Vibrant Vine, but those are two of the best wineries in Kelowna. That’s like saying there’s a bad entry in the Fast & The Furious Franchise. Sure, there are weaker entries, but they are not all bad…and shut your mouth, Tokyo Drift was awesome. The tasting room is classic with the dominant feature being a row of barrels looming over the view. It also has an incredible picnic area. Full disclosure, we did not pick up any wine on our last trip from them. We had been on a wine tour from Osoyoos to Kelowna, hitting up 60 wineries in a week. Spierhead’s offerings were good, but at the time, I just wasn’t feeling the urge. The bottles are more expensive than most of the other wineries. But this doesn’t mean the location isn’t worth visiting. At least do it to get your stamp.

Have long enjoyed winemaker Grant Stanley’s approach to pinot noir. The single vineyards are very fun to taste side by side. My experience visiting Spearhead has always been warm and welcoming with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Their wine club is very reasonable with a small annual commitment. Well worth making a reservation to taste on their east kelowna patio!

Cannot recommend enough!! What made our trip was Jacob, a young, informative, funny host who went above and beyond for us to have a memorable experience. He spent time with us, got to know us, and he even sung for us when we found out he also plays the guitar on the side. We liked the wine but loved Jacob which is the why we left with three bottles! An East Kelowna must stop!!

If you happen to go here on a wine tour, be sure to taste the white pinot noir, which was one of the nicest wines I had that day; also be sure to spend some time outdoors, as their picnic area is lovely, with a nice view of the surrounding areas, and their surrounding vines.

Awesome experience with awesome people! My boyfriend and I stopped by the other day and loved everything we tried. It was busy when we rolled up, but the staff were able to squeeze us in and were very kind. Beautiful location. B-E-A-YOOTIFUL wines! Try the 2020 Rosé, it's to die for!

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful winery! We were accommodated as walk-ins at the end of the day. Jim was super knowledgeable and friendly as he led us thru the tasting. I bought a few bottles which were packed in a box, I didn't see them go in. Unfortunately, one wrong bottle - was looking forward to the Pinot Gris and found the Rosé instead when I arrived home in Vancouver. Would recommend checking the boxes when you leave!

Amazing place. Came with my family. Jacob was super helpful and gave us insightful knowledge on the wine and how it's made and everyone else was super helpful. This place is also more away the from the city and more countryside so that was a plus. All in all it was a great experience and I'll definately come back again

Very Snotty Staff ... The serving staff is the worst I've ever come across, and I visit lots of wineries. I took my company in 2015 and the staff was very rude and very unfriendly... thought the woman was having a bad day, and figured I'd give it a second try.... nope.. Took my 2016 company there... Still Cold and Snotty! Don't visit... nor take your guests there. I do not recommend visiting their winery.

Really fantastic winery, definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! I've been several times over the years (more frequently this summer), and have always appreciated the terroir-driven wines and friendly staff. We were thankful to have a made a reservation, as they had a table waiting for us when we arrived :) If you get the chance, try the 2019 Riesling!

We love this winery! The view, patio, the grounds, and of course, the wine. Their new menu features the thinnest crust pizzas ever, and the one we tried was FABULOUS. It had salami and mushrooms and a homemade tomato sauce. We would have tried all the pizzas if we could. Definitely a must-try!
