You will see all the feddbacks of real people like you who are consuming the services and products of Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery - West Kelowna (Winery) in Vernon (Canada).
Nowadays the business gets a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is practically the best, and it is based on a large number of opinions, so we can think that the evaluation is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are happy, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to write feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Winery corresponds to the category of Winery.
We had dinner here, followed by a tasting led by Rod. Rod was incredible, guiding us through wines curated to the individual. Of the wine tastings we had over the last few days his was undoubtedly our favourite. Very personable and very informative. Exactly what we had been looking for.
Worst experience ever. Find another Winery in Kelowna to visit. Plenty of other nice ones. With proper friendly service
Great winery with a great view. Menu selection is good and serving it on their covered deck was a relaxing way to enjoy lunch.
Great wines!
Tried their Winemakers Reserve Syrah. Absolutely perfect and priced in the low 20s. Mt Boucherie is making excellent wines.
Always a great experience!! Great wine too!!
Amazing food great service
Beautiful view, great products and menu. Lots of variety and excellent service.
Great wines! Ordered a bunch and they provide free delivery if you join the club.
Really good wine!
Awesome service! We were helped by a very knowledgeable and friendly man. The wine tasting experience was quite interesting and I'm excited to return to see the 2020 renovations.
Very good customer service and all of the wine tasted top notch. I’m definitely going to be coming back every summer!
We stopped at Mt Boucherie after failed attempts for tastings at Mission Hill and Quails Gate. It was kismet! We happened on a squeezed in tasting...a private seated tasting... and got Joe! Joe was amazing....amazing for a number of reasons. He engaged us in not only the various wines but food pairings and the wine making process. Joe is one of the wine makers and was 'just out of the cellar' as he said, to engage and talk about the wine he's been making. He was passionate and so informative. He read us well and understood that we cared and discussed the different aspects of wine on our own. He was gracious in answering our layman questions and not once did we feel undeserving of his passion. So many times you are treated as a mindless consumer and he seemed to understand that we were there for more than that. His passion was infectious and we came away with a wonderful experience which we will be talking about for a long time to come. Thank you JOE!
Amazing customer service. Great tasting experience and great food and vibe, really great night all around! Will be back for a ladies night soon! The Double Clever drink was AMAZING!
From the website: "The winery and vineyards were purchased from the original owners in 2016 with the vision of continuing this historic BC wine company with fresh energy, resources, and ideas. " They should have left it the way it is. It was a nice friendly little winery where they would remember you from last visit. It's been lost now. Just another corporate wine factory. I'm not excited about their 2 new restaurants in 2020.
Stopped in to the wine shop, very knowledgeable group. Sampled a few of their wines. I picked the Gewurztraminer which was not on the sample list. A very clean not overly sweet well priced wine.
Gorgeous view, delicious food and wine, pleasant staff! Can't wait to try the full menu soon
GREAT AWESOME TIME HERE!!!! The staff were so nice and accommodating all though we didn’t have a reservation for wine tasting. The inside is extremely new. Wine itself tasted amazing. Loved the Chardonnay and Pinot Gris! They have an outdoor section where you can bring your own cheese and crackers or whatever other snacks to have your own picnic! Probably the only winery I ever been to where you can bring your own food! So if you visit, bring a lunch and have a picnic outside!
Loved it. Booked a wine tasting. They were able to put us in for dinner and food, drink, service.... Everything was incredible.
I found the view and picnic area beautiful and new building very modern. The experience tasting is really great , the lady that was helping us was funny and knowledgeable . We all liked the idea that you can choose any 4 of the wines that were open that day to taste . So for our friends that only liked red wine was a bonus instead of a set of wines they choose for you to taste. I bought 3 bottles of wine . The issue I had is when I returned home from our vacation and viewed my receipt from the shop . I was charged 10.00 to taste even though it was suppose to be waived with purchase And was charged for the red ice wine instead of the white that was 10.00 less. A lot of hassle to get my money back so not worth it .
Because of the experience I had at the tasting room I don’t think I will ever be returning. This is the only winery I’ve been to in the Okanagan that does NOT wave the tasting fee when you buy a bottle of wine. They also only take CC or cash so if you only have debit you’re out of luck. Even after we spent over $200 on lunch upstairs and both of us buying a bottle they still wouldn’t wave the tasting fee for us. Honestly super disappointed.
What a lovely experience for my first time there. The view was spectacular, The menu tantalizing, and then wine selection lovely. I will definitely return to try more things on the menu
Amazing experience, great thoughtful staff, delicious wines. This place is a must if you’re doing wine tasting!
Terrific wine tasting and then we had a delicious lunch. Beautiful setting for a relaxing afternoon.
By far the best service ive had in a very long time, thank you Aaron you definitely shine in your job very respectful, and knows his stuff.... 1st time tasting wine and was quite impressed Robbie who was our guy down stairs very personable and knowledgeable will definitely be back!
Delish! We had the steak frites, pork chops and cheese plate. Nice sizes and lovely taste! Can't wait to go back.
Excited for the growth of this Winery in the coming future. Excellent staff with even better Wine. Definitely a must for things to do in Kelowna.
The experience started with a dishevelled person asking entering guests for cigarettes, despite the monolithic, modern entrance. There is an up-front tasting fee which is a departure from the business model of most winery tasting services, and it cannot be waived upon any purchase. In addition, the hostess made us feel quite insignificant that we didn’t have a reservation as she feigned difficulty finding a seat amongst a 80% empty tasting area, (see photo). The winery does not accept debit payments, and rather would have you swipe a credit card at the entrance which is unsettling both for cyber security reasons and that the hostesses’ explanation was “it’s probably just an American thing”. We were promptly seated next to a standing pool of water, whose origins are unknown given the current water shortage in the West Kelowna area. The mystery pool of water did however contain significantly more liquid than the ornate, yet empty dog bowl cast aside of the tasting area, (see photo, not as dog friendly as you would be made to think). The wine itself…. I tried to tackle with an open mind despite the train wreck of initial service atmosphere. Unfortunately the wine was very average, unrefined and underwhelming. Perhaps if the ownership put as much effort into the overall aesthetics of the building and more on the winemaking process the experience would be elevated. As we left the table following our tasting we observed an unfortunate new arrival step directly into the mystery puddle of water, perhaps as foreshadowing to their imminent experience. The experience reminded me of a very expensive-looking car that has never been serviced and has the hood ornament stolen. I have enjoyed thoroughly almost every winery (at least 3.75/ 5 stars) in west Kelowna, but this experience is truly unique, for unfortunate reasons. This may pass critique if this is the 4th or 5th stop on a wine tour for 20 year olds, but the devil is in the details, and the soul is missing.
We came here with a Wine Tour-SIP Happens, and loved our experience. Firstly we had a tasting outside with amazing views in the sunshine. Our Australian/ English server was very knowledgeable and fun with the wines. However our highlight of the day was the outstanding service we received from Logan while we had food in the restaurant. He helped find a wine that all three of us would enjoy and gave great recommendations for both food on their menu and other activities we could do while in town. We will definitely be back :)
Not very knowledgeable. Whites OK reds not so much.
Was disappointed that the "tasting fee not waived with bottle purchase" message wasn't communicated to our party as we paid to make a reservation for a tasting. Had we have been told this, we wouldn't have bothered with the tasting. We couldn't find signs explaining this either, so after coming back at our reservation time, doing a tasting and then purchasing a bottle and finding out that way, we ended up returning the bottle as it just wasn't worth the 30$ on top of a 10$ tasting fee for each of us. The venue is pretty but there's lots of other wineries along Boucherie that still waive the tasting fee and have a better selection of wines. This was our first time visiting Mt.Boucherie estate winery and we won't be making this a part of our winery stops in the future.
Beautiful setting, great views and facilities, BUT $12 fee for sampling is too high and none of it applied to any purchases! Will not be going back for anymore wine samplings for that reason.
Great wines but some staff left alot to be desired. Great venue and view but yes, the wines really are amazing
Excellent service and even more excellent wine! Helene and Nikki were very knowledgeable and offered us great advice!
My friend took me here when I was visiting Canada a few weeks back and we had a selection of starters for lunch, hand rolled gnocchi, seared pork belly, fried brussels, things on toast and meat bombs. The food was delicious plus such a beautiful view as it had been snowing most of the morning. I really enjoyed the Pinot Gris too. Thank you so much to the lovely staff. I’ll be back ????
We had an amazing experience here for wine tasting and a great dinner. Chase was an exceptional server who toured us through many of the Mt. Boucherie wines. This is a must stop on your West Kelowna wine tour.
I have visited the winery and I absolutely love the new Zinfandel.
Very nice place excellent tasting wine
Jackie was an awesome tasting associate. Our experience was 10000x better because of her
Great friendly staff
Had an amazing experience here! The gentleman who served us was fun, knowledgeable and even showed off his musical talent for the group of us singing and playing guitar. Great wines too! Highly recommend this winery, highlight of our wine adventure!
Delicious food, wine and beautiful views.
Craig & Carole are amazing and have excellent wines
Avneet was our taster! Our wines were delicious and she was such a pleasure to have. The view is amazing and we would definitely recommend! Thank you for the knowledgeable tasting and a great experience Avneet!
Brought out of town friends here for wine tasting, horrible experience. The girl would pour our wine, and without saying a single comment about the wine would leave for 5 minutes, only to return and ask rudely 'what's next?' She seemed to be doing 2 tastings at once and was spending most of her time with the wealthier looking group, completely ignoring us. Not worth the $10 at all.
My fiancé and I visited Mount Boucherie Estate Winery for the first time yesterday. Mount Boucherie was one of 12 West Kelowna wineries participating in the “Sip with your Sweetheart” self-guided wine tour event. Compared to the 11 other wineries we visited, Mount Boucherie was very skimpy with its wine sample and didn’t put much effort into its treat. For this event, they provided visitors with a (very) small glass of ice wine and a boring pre-wrapped Purdy’s chocolate. My fiancé and I are red wine drinkers, so this did nothing for us. The server wasn’t very personable and seemed eager for us to leave unless we wanted to pay for additional samples. The entire experience was lackluster. Considering there are several other wineries in walking distance that provided us with a more memorable experience, I highly doubt we will return to Mount Boucherie.
We had a great time at this winery. Our trip here for a lunch with my parents ended up finishing off with a private wine tasting in the fantastic barrel room. You see my dad has MS which leaves him mobility challenged and he would not be able to stand and sample the wines. The wonderful staff at Mt. Boucherie made my 85 year old Dad and Moms first wine tasting a very fun memorable time. Thanks Cole for setting it up and Chiara for the personal tasting. The wine here is fantastic and I recommend everyone stops in at Mt Boucherie for a sample, or two, or three! Heck buy a couple bottles.
If you don’t come by a group with guide , you won’t get a service you paid for because here does not treat customers equally ! Business volume is more important than the reputation for them . It was an awful wine tasting experience in MtBoucherie . I have visited more than 10 wineries in Kelowna
Mt. Boucherie winery is hard to beat for an all 'round great wine tasting experience. of all the toursI went on this trip, Mt. Boucherie had the best tasting Chardonnay, and desert wine. amazing service and staff!
Very knowledgeable sweet woman that served us. Great experience!
Great food, great wine, awesome atmosphere!
Friendly staff, nice location
always amazing time tasting wine
Tasting was enjoyable but very long. You can bring snacks and enjoy them while you taste- an especially good idea if you SO tends to get hangry. Wines were good but on the more expensive side of things.
Top notch service from Chelsey today!! My group and I really enjoyed the mulled wine on the terrace during the pairing event.
Great view service and food
Lovely service! Carole is a dream.
Excellent location and selection of wines for tasting.
I don't know how this place has so few reviews but it's fantastic. I went to Mission Hill, Little Straw and this winery and thought by far this was the most worth my time and best value. While the estate and views are not going to compare to Mission Hill, the wines here were definitely worth the taste. Megan (sp?) helped me and and was patient, personable and seemed to be sincere in her enjoyment of the job. I joined their wine club as it was a stellar deal! If you want to take selfies go to Mission Hill, but if you came to Kelowna in hopes to get wines at reasonable prices come here and join their wine club and then use the discount from your new membership to buy some other wines, that's what I did! May I also humbly suggest you buy their merlot or merlot ice wine.
Fantastic winery with their award wine British Columbia Family Reserve Summit 2009. A luscious full body red with hints of plums, blueberry and spice. Be patient and let it breathe for a few hours.
Heavy handed tastings and delicious wines
Nice winery, quite a small tasting room but there is a great outdoor area with beautiful views.
Great food....and wine of course! Excellent service too!
Beautiful, modern winery with great service. Amazing quality of wines. I loved this selection of whites.
Exceptional experience. Staff are welcoming and friendly, food is bright and flavourful, wine is surprising in its variety and the view can't be beat.
The view is not as good as... Mission Hills, or couple other ones, but the server was excellent for my wine tasting... She is more engaged than the other ones. Modernized settings and good wines, to my surprise
Amid the new buildings construction, nice cosy friendly place. I can see how this place will lose its charm after the new building is finished. Progress is just that and passing on the costs to the customer is the reality. Seeing big money at other locations, it's hard to watch local wine prices, in general, climb upwards and perhaps lose the VQA's competitive edge.
Best steak in town!????????
Fabulous facility with stunning views, excellent food and knowledgable friendly staff makes this place a go to wine and food experience that should not be missed! EXCELLENCE Personified.
Exceptional wine and exceptional service
They are serving a limited menu on the patio. Even so, there is a fair selection & the food was good. Service was okay, I think water should be refreshed regularly as part of general service. The patios have heaters so even on a grey day like today, it was still warm despite being on the patio.
Best red wines we've tried all week! Had to buy a bunch because the varietals were so unique.
Atmosphere 10/10, friendliness 10/10, wine 10/10. And maybe that's the wine making me say that but it's basically right on the money. I love going here.
Amazing winery and product. My wife and I visited the winery and we got a super tasting with a beautiful presentation of the products. They are really professional and give alot of information. During my next BC trip, it's sure I return there :)
Brittany was spectacular...food was superb...thanks so much
We would have liked to be offered a seat on the patio for tasting.. Instead of that, we got a 5 min tasting with 4 wines (nice one though) but we felt very rushed. Also instead of letting us borrow a glass they made us buy one, 5 dollars for a plastic glass (our bad, we should have said no).. Not my favorite winery in the okanogan valley..
Will be back again. Top shelf rating
Great Service Chelsea. Thank you..... With my friends from Port Ciquitlam.
Great food, great views, great picnic area! The architecture of the new building is fantastic. This is a place you don't want to miss out on if you're doing a wine tour in the area
Great wines, great service. Make sure you try their red icewine.
Love love love this place!!
Amazing wine, great patio!! Warm, welcoming staff!! A great experience!! Thank you!!!
Had reservation, no table, had to wait and was then told I would have to be quick....
This was SUCH a notable visit. Like all wineries there were charcuterie items you could buy and a beautiful view. I can’t say thise werent lovely and appreciated nonetheless HOWEVER the real point on this was the amazing whites. In a table of four people trying 5 whites, there was always at least 3 people who said each wine was great and I loved every single one of those whites. Very notable!!
Mediocre at best. Gave 3 stars for the gorgeous views. Beautiful restaurant. I Asked for medium rare ribeye, came out medium-medium well. Pretty standard for average restaurants. By the time the second steak came out everyone else was done their meals, I was fortunate enough to scavange off a friend's plate to feel included. Chef came out with the second steak, said they have trouble cooking steaks when it's not busy, whatever that means. Didn't get the steak removed from the bill. I guess the restaurant is going through a rough patch? Go to the keg for steak, never had a bad meal there.
Excellent food, wine and service along with very comfortable covid19 protocols by the management and staff
Best wines from all places we went.
Was much better when it was a small “mom and pop” shop. They used to talk to you about their wine and vineyard. Lady who did the wine tasting was rude, snobby and didn’t tell us anything about the wine or that there was a tasting fee.
Wines were tasty and the service was wonderful!
Came with a party of 10 people and we had a variety of food for mains. The steaks, lingcod, lobster are the most delicious dishes. All Desserts were extremely amazing and after dinner coffee hit the spot. A strong recommendation for a go to winery dinner in Kelowna.
I had a pleasant evening with friends at this winery! It is beautiful and the wine selections are on point. ????????????????????????
Just the greatest. My wife and I showed up with our two year old at 6:45 (15 minutes before closing), and the gentleman running the tasting room was more than happy to run us through the list of wines for tasting. My wife and I visited Mt. Boucherie in July 2016 and we were so glad to visit again. We came away with three wines to take home this time. Thank you so much!
Excellent service and delicious wine!
Definitely a great place to visit for a wine tasting! The new show room is beautiful
Great local Lakeview heights winery. Friendly staff over the years I've been going. Make sure to add this little gem to the list if your touring the beautiful area. My favorites would probably be the zweigelt or ehrenfelser.
Great views and wonderful wines
Usually you need a reservation to get the wine tasting but we were able to get in as they weren't too busy. The wine tasting was $6 and we got a taste of three whites and two reds. They were all pretty good and we ended up purchasing two bottles so the tasting fee was waived. I loved the view of the vineyards and Kelowna landscape as well as the modern look of their interiors.
If I could give Mt. Boucherie Winery 6 Stars I would! Amazing product and absolutely outstanding service. I recently contacted them to make an order for my wife's favourite wine and I was overwhelmed by how helpful they were at finding exactly what I needed and more! Thank you so much for making our first wedding anniversary extra special!
Had an awesome experience at Mt. Boucherie! Loved the set up. You actually get to sit at a table for tastings here instead of standing at a bar. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and the views are BEAUTIFUL. The variety of wines they have are killer too. Try the original vine series if you can. Those were the best.
Super great experience here! We started out with a wine tasting. The lady who helped us out was super knowledgeable and helped us out with us not knowing much. We then went up stairs and had dinner. The food was outstanding and and the service from Cole and our waiter was top notch! The winery has a beautiful view of the vines and the lake. Will be making another trip back for sure.
Great wines! The Summit wine is amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable staff for the tasting. Lovely patio seating area was a bonus.
Had dinner last night with a party of 4. Ordered the tomahawk steak which was supposed to feed 4 but barely fed 2. Paid 170 plus tip for 2. Service was average so no complaints but advertising the huge steak for 4 is misleading. Try something else off the menu. Would I go back? Probably not.
Good wine and knowledgeable staff. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
We had a great tasting today. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, fantastic wine, and a great view!
Loved not only the wine but tasting the grapes mmm
Very good blaufrankish and Chardonnay. $3 for a tasting of 4.
Wine is good, but the visit and explanation during tasting could have been much better.
Beautiful venue, delightful wines.
Excellent wines! Also, when we got there it was really busy in the tasting room, and the helpful staff member saw that there wasn't much space at the bar and offered to help us out on the patio, which was quiet, sunny, and ideal for us! We will absolutely be back next time we're in the area!
Thank you to Joe for taking my husband and I through your reserve wine tasting - we learned so much, and really appreciated his time and expertise! We could tell that Joe loves his job and your product, and we learned a lot about some fantastic wines we might not have considered before. Thank you for your kindness and for providing information on which wines would be good to age and invest in, and for making our experience a lovely one. We'll be back!
Stayed in the new solus house which was amazing, the golf simulator was so fun and a great way to stay out of the sun! We enjoyed dinner at the modest butcher and everything was fantastic! The steak was perfectly cooked and the tuna appetizer was phenomenal! Would definitely recommend!
Mike is so great! Robbie is excellent and we met Jessie last night. He had us all laughing histaracally. Thanks guys. Love love this place!
This was a very lovely winery. The building reminds you of a modern art gallery. There's a nice restaurant where you can get steaks and pasta. They are of course winery prices, meaning, probably not the place you're going to eat if you're just looking for something cheap and easy. The wines were delicious and on the sweeter side when it came to the whites. The reds had a lot of minerality to them and were bold, had some spicy notes and were smooth. This is coming from someone who is NOT a wine expert. But did enjoy the selection they had. The whites were absolutely wonderful though. The price points for the wines were fair. My gewurstraminer was around $24 and the red we tried retailed close to $40. So there's definitely room to play in between those price ranges. They are small-medium batch producers in comparison to some wineries, so that's what makes it special. They are also situated with a fantastic view of the valley and it really is something to sit out on their patio, look at the mountains and have a wine tasting. Their staff is also incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They also have quite a large tasting area (which for some reason I didn't take pictures of...too busy drinking wine I guess).
Super disappointed on how the level of service has dropped. Waited for 10 min to buy wine. Not taste or eat but buy. This place was better when they care about service.
Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Nicki! We had an fabulous time and was even better with her absolute fantastic service! Thank you Nicki for your stellar service, knowledge and for the fun! Great wines, Service and good times. Thanks for making my parent 50th wedding anniversary so much better!! Will be back!! Nicki you rock!!
Great winery with friendly and knowledgeable staff who answer questions with great detail
Great experience with server who's name I forget but is from Muskoka! Thanks again!
Beautiful scenery and great service from all the staff. We were here for a wine tour and server was very knowledgeable and personable. We also ate at the restaurant which had great food and awesome service from the staff Only complaint we had was having one of the general managers having a loud Skype business meeting at the table behind us during lunch. Was very disruptive for our lunch. Seemed highly unprofessional and definitely took away from the experience.
(Translated) It has now been over 5 years that I return to this vineyard every time I am in Kelowna. I'm going back because the first time I went, I was treated with respect and consideration despite being younger and less knowledgeable about wine, unlike other wineries in the area. Not only are the folks at Mt Boucherie exceptionally kind, their products are incredible. My favorites are the Reserve Syrah and the Reserve Chardonnay. There are so many wineries in the area, but one thing is for sure, stop by this one, you won't regret it. Special mention to their new on-site restaurant which offers an excellent menu on a beautiful terrace overlooking Lake Okanagan.
A beautiful winery tasting room, and the staff were both friendly and knowledgeable. A bit crowded, but that's not necessarily a bad thing when it comes to tasting wines - just means they're popular! Didn't have to wait for a tasting time, and from an amateur's point of view, it was all quite tasty wine.
Fantastic, bright new space! Knowledgeable staff. Had an amazing dinner upstairs, great food paired with great wines! Just wish that I could find Mt. Boucherie wines apart from having to go directly to the winery to make purchases.
We had an amazing experience on our trip to my Boucherie!! Our wine connoisseur name was mike! He took us through the history of every grape and glass poured, his knowledge of the product was phenomenal and custom service was beyond exceptional !! Cheers mike we appreciate you!!!
SUPER FRIENDLY STAFF AND GOOD WINE <3 bought a bottle of the Zweigelt (2013), Chardonnay (2013), merlot red ice wine. and it was an excellent decision ! Too bad we came to visit this location at the end of our winery trip, will come back next time to buy some more! love the wine quality <3
Amazing wine!
A must on your wine tour!
Perfect place for dining Got an amazing experience Food so so yammi
Very knowledgeable staff, great wine, great service!
Fantastic experience with wine tasting. We asked a lot of questions and they had very knowledgable answers!
Chiara was amazing! Super funny and made the experience outstanding! I would recommend this winery to anyone. great wine and great staff.
Great view. Great wines. Great stories.
Modest Butcher is worth trying out!
Jackie was amazingly upbeat. I will definitely recommend. Wine was incredible and the view views as great!
Just hosted a wine tour here, fantastic atmosphere.
Amazing food great wine and friendly staff
Awesome new expansion!
Had an absolutely amazing experience at this winery. An older gentleman was our taster and he was so informative and passionate on the products that he made our time unforgettable. The building itself was beautiful, and the wine very fairly priced. A much more personable tasting than other wineries I had visited in Kelowna. Definitely set the bar for any other wine tasting I will do in the future.
Nice winery with great views and a restaurant. Wine is okay but could be better.
Very friendly knowledge and personable staff! ????
The space was really clean and pretty! Their wines were amazing and the view was beautiful
A beautiful building, with a beautiful view, fantastic wine & food, and great people.
had a great experience. Spencer was a great addition to my experience
Great experience
Went and did wine tastings Elenh was amazing she knows her wines she's great highly recommend going and seeing her she is great :) will come here again.
How can I say it! This winery is amazing! Snd the service from Kat was perfect. Sometimes wineries are a bit stuffy. This one is perfect! Atmosphere, music ,food and wine! Kat was so personable and freindly. We were lucky to have her as our server! Alisa and steve fraser !
