Wow! Was just driving by and thought what the heck, and very glad we did. Delicious wines and very forward chickens.

Owner was really friendly and nice to talk to. Wine was amazing!

We were looking forward to enjoying the experience at this local winery. Mind you, the winemaker failed to provide a memorable customer service experience and did not create a welcoming atmosphere. In addition, the flight of 4 was clearly listed at $10 and upon checkout the winemaker explained that we chose from some premium wines, and we were charged $16 for the 4 ounces. The winemaker mentionned he told us about this, but we both had no recollection to support anything beyond what was on his chalkboard. Great wine, but the experience was overshadowed with a poor reception and customer service.

Very pleasant visit. Watched grapes being "stripped" of the stems. Interesting.

I don't leave many reviews but I enjoyed the hospitality and the wines at this small producer. Chris is the one-man show who runs this place, using unusual varietals that don't have great reputations in the wine world but he's done an excellent job with them, creating fruit forward and easy-drinking wines. We also got to meet his sheep and his young daughter gave us big smiles and proudly showed us one of their hens. They seem like a lovely and hardworking family and we were pleased with the overall experience and were happy to support their adventure in winemaking.

Small, quaint vineyard. Owner was very friendly and his pride is his work was evident. Killdeer is amazing. The wine description sheets that accompany the taster flights are very useful and added to the experience. Other vinyards should follow his lead.

Knowledgeable owner, great guy - the BEST wine. Try the INK Frontenac - deep rich plummy hint of smoke - for sipping by the fire -

Gravel Hill is in their 2nd year of business and the wine last year & this year is AMAZING ! Highly recommend this small family owned winery ????

This family owned and operated winery and vineyard is everything you should be looking for in your visit to Prince Edward County. The wines are distinctive and a nice departure from the sometimes repetitive County wines. The owners are friendly and helpful, generally a pleasure to chat with and super informative, volunteering lots of information about their methods, their unique form of weed control (adorable miniature sheep) and their wines. The wines themselves are refreshing, memorable and delicious. I loved the partially wild fermented red. Even better was the extremely reasonable price (about $16/ bottle) another nice change from most of the local wineries. This small winery should definitely be on your list while you're in PEC. I can't wait to visit again.

Really great atmosphere, just relax and enjoy some wines. Good setting in the vineyard! Wines were good. The only issue i had was wine flight is provided in tiny plastic cups... this may be due to COVID but such a waste!

Found Gravel Hill Winery earlier this year while visiting the county. Now every visit to the county includes a visit to Gravel Hill. Had to make a special trip just grab the port.

Fantastic place Beautiful vineyard

Nice vineyard outside of Wellington - offering nice picnic table seating outdoors and respecting social distancing during the COVID-19 outbreak. Their Killdeer white was a nice spin on a summer wine!

By far our favourite spot for our wine tour, and we came across it spontaneously. Chris was really nice and told us all about his vineyard, most of it he works by himself. The wine was very unique and delicious, you can tell he puts a lot of thought into what he creates. Definitely recommend visiting and trying the Vidal and Frontenac Blanc.

Christopher Rowlinson

Great spot, and their 2018 Killdeer white wine is fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Delicious selection of wines, including full-bodied, flavourful reds, my favourites of those sampled during our stay in Prince Edward County. Chris, the owner, is friendly and very knowledgeable about his grapes and the wines. He doesn't just pour the wine, he is involved in each step if the winemaking from planting and caring for the vines and their fruit to manually harvesting each bunch, to press and age into his delightful products. Pleasure your palate by dropping in for a tasting and bringing a few bottles home to share with friends, we did!

Best wine in PEC chris is so friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and makes amazing wine!

The wines were average at best. The owner friendly. Purchased wine and yet the tasting fee was not waved. Seems a bit excessive given this winery is based on mostly out of county gapes and run out of a garage.
