The Keg Mansion is well worth the visit. Besides the beautiful building itself soaked with heritage and history, you get a great lunch/dinner. The food is top notch and cooked to perfection. If it isn't, they will make sure it is. The service is excellent and attentive. The Keg Mansion is great for that special occasion, date or just for a nice night out.

Very interesting building. Not your cookie cutter-type The Keg. Service was great. Free parking after 4:30PM Monday to Friday. My baseball sirloin (my usual - done medium rare) seemed quite a bit tougher than normal. Good times with an old friend....

Generally a long wait time for a table is worth it to dine at this lovely location. Plus one hosts went out of his way to find us a table quickly. We sat in the lounge upstairs and the food was amazing and the rest of the staff was lovely.

Good food, good atmosphere, but the service is not always what it should be or what one expects from the Keg. The person who served us on this particular visit wasn't interested in giving my guests any straight answers and kept pushing them or better to say in some instances bullying them into a choice! 4 stars is based on my overall experience with this location throughout the years, if it would only be based off the latest experience, 1 or 2 stars would be more fair.

Dined here recently for an Anniversary dinner, coming from London I anticipated similar services as The Keg’s locations in London. Wrong. Our server Carrie had zero personality, made our experience extremely awkward and uncomfortable.. we had to initiate the drink order, as well as having to ask for the bread. At the end of our meals, she brought by a piece of cake.. said ‘I heard it’s your Anniversary’ plopped it down in front of us and walked away. Overall, just a very strange dining experience. However, the steaks were great and cooked well. We’ll definitely stick to the London locations from now on.

It's been almost 20 years since I've been here. Best steak I've had in a long time. The music was a little loud in the dining area but the song choices were on point. Excellent save. I can't wait to go back. The cajun shrimp taste and texture was exactly what I would expect from a place that looks like that. Great job to the chef/cook and our server. I wish I remembered his name. Super nice guy. He served a table late last night to a couple with the woman who said the iced tea was magical. I can't give more than 5 stars or I would.

Recently went for a work dinner. Overall experience was delightful, considering we had such a large party. Servers were fast, polite and accurate. Food speaks for itself - the keg is consistently amazing. However the decor sets this apart from other keg locations. Decor is beautiful and classic.

The Keg is one of those go-to restaurants where you know what you are going to get in terms of food, ambiance, and for the most part, service. For downtown, The Keg Mansion on Jarvis has the best service consistently; very attentive staff and very welcoming. I've had so many things off their menu; the only items I don't really recommend are their crab legs since they're just a 3/5 as well as the mushroom soup. I would say my favourites are their Brie appetizer, their Rib Steak, and Billy Miner Pie for dessert. At the Jarvis location you can dress up, or you can come in casual with a hoodie and nobody looks twice.

Steak Oscar. Steak was OK. Shrimp and mini scallops were boiled and put on top. Disgusting. Got home and sat on toilet. Never again. What happened keg. Thoroughly disappointed ????

Likely the most awesome of all the Keg locations. Great experience everytime. Customer service is one of the best in the industry and food is always great. Good wine selection. Tip: Ask your server for the book of stories which has contributions from past Keg employers and restaurant guests about their ghostly encounters at this Toronto historical site.

The Keg Mansion is the place we go to to celebrate all occasions in our family. From birthdays to new jobs. We have been to this particular Keg at least 2 times a year for the past decade. The food is good, though prices have been steadily increasing. Of all Kegs we have been to, we find the ambience at the Keg Mansion most charming and cosy. It is usually busy, but we always manage to get a table within 30 mins of walk in. This restaurant is truly our family favourite!

Attended "The Mansion" yesterday for a College grad family celebration! Our experience was fantastic ???????????? Our server Jill was very attentive to our group and was awesome with her personality and professionalism. Food was great, from the appies to the main! We toasted the Grad with a very nice bottle of Mumms ????. The restaurant was very busy last night but we felt like ours was the only table. The service was fantastic as we went right at 4pm when they opened and it was not busy. The drinks were great and our main courses were also very delicious. For entrees, i had the baked shrimp and he had the escargot, which both in my opinion were lovely. My boyfriend had the 20oz rib steak which was very flavorful, among the best steaks we've had. I had the 14 oz prime rib which was great. For dessert we had the mini brownie which had ice cream and whipped cream and it was the perfect size for the two of us as we were stuffed with the main course already.

So I decided to do my birthday/baby shower there as I was expecting my third child, and I must say the Decour was not the best it’s a little bit outdated if you ask me and the service was pretty horrible because I did reserve my table a month in advance and when I got there it seems to me they did not have enough staff to cater to our table. And I ordered my steak medium well Done and I must say to me it was like a blue state because it was bleeding the plate was drenched in blood and I was completely disgusted. Not only myself but other people that was with my party had to send their food back to be fixed or we cooked into me it was kind of annoying.

Avoid the cheesecake! It was disgusting and had the consistency of a dried, gummy, glue stick. It was truly one of the worst cheesecakes I've ever had. We really should have sent it back but we weren't able to catch the attention of the server and by the time they came around with the bill we were ready to call it a night. We didn't have steak on this occasion but generally it is pretty good and fairly consistent.

Last time I came here with my family, I had the delicious filet mignon medium rare. Very tender and juicy steak, and the side fries definitely did not disappoint. Our waitress was very kind, and made me feel very comfortable in the cozy atmosphere.

While the KEG franchise stands high on its own, this time around the Jarvis location really lost the ball. A group of 5 sat down fora 8 30pm dinner on a Friday evening. It was busy, but no more than usual. We weren't even asked for our order for 10 minutes after sitting down. Fast forward 34 minutes, we complained and finally the table bread reached us. Once the food came ( A total of 49 minutes from the time we ordered ) it was delicious as always, but when you're starving everything is. We had a hard time getting refills on our drinks and well the experience was kinda dreadful. The manager switched the servers for us eventually and provided complimentary desserts with coffee, but 3 of us didn't really want anything on the dessert menu. Will come back, hoping this was only a single incident.

I've been to various Keg locations over the years but the mansion is still the best experience. A bit of old Victorian charm adds to the steakhouse vibe vs the downtown and suburban "trendy" modern style the rest of the chain evokes. The food. I ate it ALL. oink or should I say moo?... better deal than Mortons, Barberians or Ruth Chris but well, there is a difference in quality ???? but hey, I are it ALL. I'm hungry again. I wished their sour dough bread was as soury delicious as I remember it as... with ice cold salted butter... ooooh....

The likelihood of getting a table without a reservation here is quite low, and for good reason. The service is excellent, while the atmosphere is filled with laughter and good conversation. This is a place that you go out on a date or have a relaxing time with business partners or friends. The steaks are done well (or well done if you prefer). It's no longer listed on the menu but one can still order a Keg sized 24oz prime rib steak. Visit the place for the haunted setting or for a nice steak hangout.

We had our anniversary dinner here. Very cozy place with lots of different rooms that are dimly lit with simulated candle light. Makes for a good spot to have a romantic dinner with a significant other. The service was amazing as well.

The ambience of this location is wonderful and the mansion gives it such a classic & upscale feel. My steak was cooked perfectly and tasted perfect. The lobster tails that came along were also delicious and very tender. The waiter was also very friendly and knowledgable as well. Will definitely be back!

Nice place to eat. The prices are a bit much for the steak, though. The steak is not very flavourful, and sometimes they can put too much of a certain spice. The bacon also lacks flavour. The appetizers are very pricey, and there is a very limited selection. Service is pretty good, but can be slow. The waiters are very nice. Overall, this is a nice place to go for a semi-formal dinner, like a dinner to celebrate an accomplishment with the family.

Such a great place. Allegedly haunted. Never saw a ghost but had an experience with the door locking itself. The atmosphere here is exceptional because of the history of the building. The food is your favorite Keg fair so you know what to expect. Good service.

We come here a lot. It is such a beautiful venue. You have a very elegant dining area on the main floor and a more casual large bar area upstairs. The food is good, and if something is not right they really make an effort to make make you happy. Not the best steakhouse in the city, but its also more affordable than other steakhouses, and they cook your steak right.

Perfect service, the steaks are great, there is a rich wood with low lights ambiance that makes you feel relaxed and at ease. There is an upper level with a bar and télévisions to Watch the sports with friends on game nights. The price is on the upper end, but the experience and food quality are worth every penny.

The building is amazing, historic and well kept and you can walk around and see various parts of the mansion(where people arent eating) The menu is fair sized and of course the food is amazing! Been here about 10 times and it never gets old. Service is amazing and employees are very friendly. Also for the health nuts out there, they have informed dining so you know exactly what your putting in your system. Just ask your waiter/waitress and they will bring you the paper.

I decided to go here for my birthday.. Worst mistake. The place was loud, our server was nice but came every 20 mins.. Food took a very long time to come out. I ordered the Top Sirloin (apparently a popular pick) with a salad. I was surprised that it was literally a head of lettuce with sauce poured on the center of it- unappealing and did not taste good at all. I had hoped the steak tasted better but it was super salty and very chewy and dry (cooked medium). I don't think I would ever go back. Totally not satisfied and not worth the money!

Quick and extremely friendly service. If there is a keg to go to, the keg mansion is the one to be at. The interior decor is outstanding. You feel like you're in another place far from Toronto. We had steaks medium rare and they were excellent. The scallop wrapped bacon is also delicious.

Disappointing and less than great service. Med rare steaks were rare, service was slow and forgetful. First time back since covid and the New York was a thin slice of its former self under cooked and overpriced. Sorry but not the steakhouse it used to be by a mile. Sides were cold , potatoes and veg and the steak was not evenly cooked . Kitchen staff need to return how to prep and serve food. Other places to over pay for better meals in thunder bay.

This an LGBTQ friendly restaurant, with several queer staff and thoughtful allies. We were given a gift card to use from Christmas. I had a great time with my partner. The food was good and the service was spaced out nicely between appetizers, main course, desserts and coffee. The mansion is a historical building, so it was fun to get a chance to enjoy both a meal and some interesting architecture in downtown Toronto. Residing on the northeast border of the Gay Village, if you a looking for an eloquent meal at a reasonable price for a downtown Toronto steakhouse, this is the place to go. Thanks again to the staff and management for a great time.

Will not go back. Food did not look appetizing at all when it was served. The sides were thrown onto the plate and looked as if they were cooked 12 hours prior, and then re-heated. Steak was way too salty. The actual mansion was the best thing about the night and the service was good.

Great location for the Keg. There is often a wait for dinner so arrive early and have a few drinks at the bar. The food is great and the few times I have been and they have made small errors they have been quick to fix the issues and give above and beyond service. I really like the decor and vibe at the mansion it feels much more homey and less like a chain restaurant establishment.

We've been here for our son's 19th birthday, and the food was amazing, steak cooked to perfection, staff was attentive and the occasion was really nicely celebrated. If you come here for the birthday they really work on making it special for you! Also, we tried their 3$ small desert menu, it was much more worthy than that price, but I'm glad to see the restaurant finally start offering normal, smaller size deserts for reasonable price.

The Keg in Thunder Bay maintained its same consistency with its chain in Toronto as well and that was good for me and my husband as well as our friends. We enjoyed every bit of the evening as well as the food and the service. Every food was prepared deliciously and we just KNEW that we would definitely make this a fave spot for us to hang out to eat. Absolutely love that they use paper straws and takeout containers! Salmon was a bit overcooked and dry, but we did arrive about 15min b4 they usually close the dining room. The waitress was excellent and brought me more hot maple sauce for the salmon, which was very yummy and greatly appreciated. The dish was delicious with the extra sauce. The warm bread served with dinner was delicious and our waitress checked on us frequently and provided excellent customer service (often a rarity these days). My fiance loved his chicken dish. We left very satisfied with our meal.

Amazing - great architecture! Darker than most kegs I have been in. Unfortunately washrooms are on upper level and unsure if only accessible through staircase. Serves same food as all kegs. Would be awsome if they did an hourly talk or show to emphasize on the importance of the haunted mansion. We did have the BEST serve and brought us a history book on the estate. It's beautiful !!

Located in the historic Massey House the Keg Mansion is a lovely place to dine however the food was mediocre at best. Nothing outstanding or unique about the food but the location is quite nice. The bar located on the upper level looks interesting and worth going back to have a few cocktails at. Service was great and quite attentive.

I had a really good experience here. I was a visiting Kegger from London and my partner and I were given great service by (David? Sorry I'm writing this over a month later! Tall, dark brown hair) in the bar. The historical building was very unique and the server made sure everything we ordered came out right. Visit London Keg anytime!

We were seated right away adjacent one of the large screen Tv’s playing the hockey game (important later on). Timing of our waiter was impeccable, and he made sure to check whether the special drink I requested was actually available before ordering I for me (as he understood that I’ve had that issue before). This showed me that he cared for my dining experience and would take the time to make sure my order was correct. One of my friends was a little less familiar with the keg’s menu than the rest of us, and our waiter graciously and with great care explained and answered any of his questions. For the rest of us, he took our orders with impeccable confidence while commending our excellent choices; asking if, but not in any demanding way, whether we would like any upgrades that were avaliable. He politely asked if we would like some bread and butter as we waited for our appetizer, and the staff made sure we were well served with fresh bread until our appetizer arrived. The Calimari was excellent, my usual go-to appetizer. Nothing to write home about, but decent portion for the 4 of us. Once the meals were served, my 10 (or 8oz?) oz Fillet Mignon was a little lacking on the back on wrap. However the steak itself was impeccable, easily the best Fillet Mignon I’ve ever had. Good to a beautiful medium-medium-well, just like I like it, full of flavour. The sauce was... acceptable, not a fan of suave on my steaks unless it’s the original brown sauce. Instead I used the sauce for the peppers, and was delighted to find it masked the flavours I didn’t like in them. The main part of the meal for me is the Twice-baked potato! Not much to say here, recommended by my sister, and my personal favourite accompaniment, it was flavourful and delightful, and capped off an excellent meal. During the meal, the house had the hockey game on the nearby Tv, and as our waiter came by to check on us, he would stop for a moment and engage in some banter about the game. There was one particular scene where one player got absolutely ridden into the boards, and had to leave, and together, the 5 of us commented on the replay! Not only did our server make us feel welcome in the lounge, but he made us feel as not only guests, but good friends, talking about how his friends like certain teams and recounting stories about past “incidents”! Definitely an special experience for my special night!

Would be 5 stars if you guys had the 3 cheese butter - this is the only Keg I've ever been to that doesn't have it!

I must share my experience last night at the keg mansion for my first anniversary but please keep in my the manager did make up for it and made everything better after this experience I order the peppercorn steak medium well last night and well have the steak was done right but the other half was pouring blood out that it soaked the twice baked potato, I showed the waiter and he even got shocked, he took plate I waited 10 mins and I got that what you saw in the picture..... they gave me a new twice baked potato but the steak they strip the sauce and the peppercorn off the steak and fried it again and it became rubber and they piled more peppercorn

This was my second time dining at the Keg Mansion and I must say both times were amazing. The food is delicious. Staffs are friendly, the atmosphere is also great and the history of the place is out of this world. On the first floor is the dining area, the second floor have a sports bar and restrooms, and the third floor is restricted. I read that it is said to have a ghost living up there lol. Took my wife for her anniversary there and she loved it and she's quite picky. But she loved it. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice dining experience. I love the romantic feel.

The menu at the Keg Mansion is the same as other Keg restaurants in this chain. They specialize in steak, but also have a few other options. However, the mansion location is beautiful and full of charm, and is my favorite Keg location. Service was leisurely, and we never felt rushed. There's free parking, but the lot has an unusual shape and can fill up at peak times.

It’s a dark place. The food like any other Keg met its standard but I had never been to the Keg Mansion before. It’s hard for me to describe if it’s good or bad so I’ll just share the experience you’ll have if you go there. The building is grand and does feel like a mansion. If it’s busy you can go straight upstairs and find a seat yourself at the lounge area which actually looks and functions just like any other restaurant. It’s not super loud but if you want a quiet dinner experience don’t go upstairs. The vibe felt a bit older and mature. It’s definitely not the type of place you go to be around lively loud people. If you want something more lively and enjoy this restaurant I recommend the king West one. Personally doesn’t bother me seeing the bougie crowd as it’s fun to watch. It’s all about preference on ambience as the food is all the same.

Overall great service in a very unique mansion. Food wise, I had the rib steak and it was delicious, very flavourful and filling if you're a steak lover - go for it! It's not as good as Jacob & co steak house steaks, but the prices are better as it's not of the same caliber. The double baked potato was delicious , so was the mashed potato. This is not quite your typical 'Keg (though they have very good steaks and consistent quality for a chain, and better than all other chains). This one of set in an old converted mansion, so it has a very interesting and unique atmosphere, not sterile like some other locations. Downstairs is very classy and almost fine dining like, while the upstairs has a lively crowd and a friendly bar along with a few televisions. The bar is a great place to hang out while waiting for a table, or just go upstairs to find a free one. Food wise, get the prime rib - can't go wrong!

One of the beat steak place. I went with 3 other to celebrate ones birthday. They all loved it. They have a-lot of drinks. Food was great. One among us was vegetarian he tried cauliflower steak that one was really good. The ambience is super cool perfect for any occasion. Free parking available in downtown thats rare. We were served with cake at the end because of birthday. Wait time is bit longer and reservation not available on weekends. They give you a buzzer so you can roam around get drinks when your table is available it will light up and vibrate. Overall it was a great experience.

The manager personally came to our table several times and even checked with us after her shift to make sure everything was acceptable. I've been to this restaurant several times but felt that the service this time deserved a review. Overall we were all very impressed.

The Keg Steak quality is good maybe not best but for what you pay it worth. I like this Keg because service is good as well as the cook for your steak is right on, when you ask for medium rare or medium they make it exact right one. However their calamari last time I went was a bit over cook.

Had a nice experience at the restaurant when I attended during a work visit for the city. Our waitress was Hillary. She did a fantastic job at attending the table and taking care of everything we request Ed. She had a positive personality that's to laugh at certain times during our interactions which adds to the experience. Meal was served to order, bread on the table was hot. The food was served order and tasted great. Like most Keg's, the prices are expensive but if you go on an infrequent basis then it makes that appreciation much higher. Would definitely return.

I went there for my birthday. We got a reservation. The food was really good and they gave me a complimentary dessert. The only thing I didn’t like was the lighting. It was really dark and I couldn’t see the menu properly. But, I requested more light in the table and they helped me. The staff is nice and helpful.

We go to the Keg relatively often, it's our favorite restaurant. But this was our first time to the Keg Mansion. I Loved the atmosphere there. Wow, what a beautiful place. The food was excellent as was the wait staff. For those who may be in a wheelchair, their bathrooms are on the 2nd floor and I didn't see an elevator, just a beautiful grand staircase.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The have good stories about the ghost wandering the halls of the mansion. The food itself is delicious, the steak and lobster tail is what I ordered. The steak was cooked to perfection paired with mashed potatoes as my side and 2 lobster tails with flavoured butter. Couldn't ask for a better meal for the evening. The decor is beautiful, keeping most of the original design. I would love to go again.

The Keg has a casual, relaxed atmosphere, with traditional restaurant seating (booths and tables) as well as a cozy bar seating area with TVs, booths and tables. The food is excellent, with a generous variety of appetizers, salads, meat, seafood and vegan choices that make it hard to order. A meal available for adults and children. Customer service is second to none. Prices are what you'd expect for this kind of dining experience. The Billy Miner Pie and a coffee is a delicious end to a great dinner. All-in-all a great experience.

The food at this Keg location is no better or worse than what you would get at any other location. What you go here for is the atmosphere. The inside of the Keg Mansion is a very unique atmosphere. Though the building itself is certainly older, the inside is very well kept and they have maintained the old-fashioned style of the mansion. It is 2 floors and has lots of seating, but if you go anytime after 5pm there will definitely be a wait. We left around 8pm on a Saturday and there was still a line out of the door. Parking at this location is free, and every time we've gone we've managed to find a spot.

Loved it here! Crazy crazy busy but everyone working there were on the ball, very friendly and never missed a beat. The ambiance at the mansion is always great! After the reading the book on ghost stories the two of us had the jumbo shrimp ring as an apartizer which were by far the largest shrimp we have ever eaten, and we have had our fare share of seafood. Along side, we had the Ceasar salad which is alright for two to share and the baked brie which comes with housemade pesto and jam - delicious. We split a 20oz ribeye and added a side of lobster tail. These were both cooked to perfection along with the twice baked potato on the side. We got a complimentary dessert to accompany the last of our Cabernet Sauvignon from California, and all in all the night was great.

The service is excellent. The waitress are polite and attentive, and ready to accommodate special requests. The environment is lovely with plenty of intimate comfortable tables, and although there isn't a huge menu, and it's definitely not for vegetarians, the dishes are of extraordinary good quality. We tried the loaded mushrooms appetizer, and it was incredible. The parmigian fish was good, albeit not crunchy as promised. My husband had the Butchers cut which included steak, onions, mushroom, veggies and gnocchi (!!!). I tried the gnocchi and they were fantastic. All in all a wonderful date night!!

Had an awful experience. I go to the Keg at least 2-3 times a month at all different locations. For this to be one of their few flagship locations I was very disappointed. Not only did both appetizers get screwed up but it took 50 minutes for dinner. And then my Husband's steak was rare instead of Medium how the heck can it be rare after 50 minutes. Server was horrible. Messed up my baked potato. Ruined our evening. For the first time ever I didn't tip a dime.... And I use to be a server. I will be contacting the GM - Alan.

Ok place to go, nothing special. Dining room could use some work, baseboards have paint scraped of and needs a good cleaning. Build up of dust that can be seen even in the dark. Service was good, although some how extra appetizers and drinks were added to the bill, but were removed when we questioned about them. Food was pretty good, except the horseradish was super bitter kinda ruin my prime rib, but my fault for putting it on before I tasted it.

My wife and I had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner here. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. Quality cuts of steak prepared to your liking. Reservations are hard to get so make sure you plan on advance. Parking is limited so it's best to get there early! Overall a wonderful date spot. The decor and atmosphere is beautiful and high class.

Dont know what has happened to this place. The photos attached shows prime rib that is supposed to be med well. The potatoes were once cold and the beef also. After sending it back THREE yes...Three times I gave up. Although the meal was complimentary in the end. It did nothing to encourage me to return. My dinner guest had a steak that was like sawdust. Supposed to have been rare. The Keg use to be the go to place for prime rib and steaks. They dropped the ball here....big time.

This is pretty standard for the Keg. It is well run and offers nice ambiance once you are inside. My one quibble is that I think the atmosphere would be better if they had made use of one of the older heritage buildings in town of which many are available. The food is mostly based around meat and you are already familiar with it if have dined at one of their other locations. The food is very good as is the wine list. It may be a chain but it is definitely a step up from most chains. It was among the top five restaurants in Thunder Bay for years but has dropped a few spots due to a welcome resurgence of interesting restaurants in recent years. Still interesting often means that you may love or hate it so this remains a reliable choice.

Our small group met up at the Keg Mansion for a birthday celebration last night and had an amazing time. Overall, the hospitality was excellent as was the service by our waitress, Ruth. The orders among us covered a wide range and everyone was pleased with theirs. I particularly enjoyed the sushi quality tuna. And we all dug in to the generous piece of complementary cake for our birthday girl. We plan to do this again for the next birthday in our group. A nice feeling added with knowing that we're also supporting a Canadian enterprise.

The Keg in general has THE BEST customer service. But at the mansion my steak was too rare. I asked for it to be cooked a bit more. The waitress was so pleasant. I was really looking forward to going back to the Keg after so many months but left a little unsatisfied. Prices have gone up a bit which is understandable for to the virus but what shouldn't be sacrificed is the quality. Ordered calamari to start, although good it was half the portion they would usually stack on the plate. Next up was the 8 oz serloin, I literally couldn't get my fork through it because it was so tough. They took the steak off the bill and left it at that. I will always pay for a good meal but this one just felt like a loss to me.

You dont leave the bill on the table before the customer asks for it! Service started good but immediately felt as though we were being rushed. I never just sit around after I'm done eating I'm always the one urging a group to pay and get going, so for me to feel rushed like that was unexpected and disappointing. I Used a gift card and immediately was treated differently...waiter also made sure to mention that I am supposed to tip on the original total of the bill...as if I didn't know that (I should have left nothing). I didn't want to sour a special occasion that my partner and I were celebrating so I unfortunately tipped quite well and rewarded this level of service.

The Keg Mansion is one of the, if not the best, Keg location in Toronto. It is in a classic historical building in the east end and the food is incredible. Steaks, seafood, and very fast service, as well as, charming bar locations throughout the restaurant. The staff accompanies the food in beautiful and fast accolades. It is a must if visiting a keg in Toronto. Get the surf and turf.

Great if you want a romantic date with your partner. For some reason people feel the need to bring their entire family with little kids. One time I was there a lady brought her newborn in a stroller there... I wouldn't call this place family friendly past 9pm but that doesn't stop them. It is expensive but tasty. Very dim lighting with candles. Dessert was great.

Aside from a small service snag last visit, my husband and I love the Mansion and go regularly. We prefer the upper floor where reservations aren't needed but you can still snag a great table. Reasonable wine prices, baked brie that will blow the socks clean off your tootsies, and a great atmosphere.

We've been to other Keg locations in the past, but this was our first visit at the Mansion. I don't even know if they'd let me type every single amazing thing I have to say about this location but we definitely had our expectations blown out of the water here! From the moment we entered to being seated to the entire time we spent enjoying starters and mains, we were treated amazingly by some of the best and most friendly staff we've had the privilege of being served by whenever we dine out. The location itself is gorgeous and quite a treat for the eyes, but it always comes down to the service and the food for us and the Leg Mansion, hands down, delivered impeccably! Food was out of this world delicious, our server BRIAN was totally amazing and the overall ambiance was delightful. This is definitely going to be one we come back to again and again.

The worst experience I've ever had at a Keg. Our group consisted of 6 ladies for a birthday gathering and the food took about 30 mins to come out and was either soggy or overcooked. The Manager offered to bring out replacement meals, but at the point we had been there for a long time and were hungry. He also offered to cover the desert which we ended up being billed for anyway. My steak was hands-down awful - half of it I couldn't even eat because it was so chewy. I visit the Keg often and it's usually consistent with great food and service but the Keg Mansion falls way short.

Good things first: excellent service, steaks were excellent, appetizers were very good. Areas for improvement: my wife's lobster was raw. Not undercooked or badly cooked, it was raw. She asked me to try it, totally disgusting. I've never had raw lobster before, and hope to never have it again. The waitress took the price of the lobster off the bill and offered us free dessert. We accepted taking the lobster off, but declined the dessert. So stick to the steak, pass on the lobster.

Amazing!! Our server (TU) sorry if the name is wrong .. she was awesome!! I totally recommend her ???????? Food was great .. took the man there for his B-day???????? had a fantastic time!! Food was cooked juat the way we asked and the dessert was delish! We were glad it wasn't a heavy piece of birthday cake.. instead a nice ice cream cake which was way better cause you didn't feel like you had to roll yourself out of the restaurant when you were done everything. The mansion is beautiful .. we took brief walk upstairs to see the other room (very neat!) Thanks for a great night!!♡

It's fine. As good as it always was and that's the problem. It's the same pedestrian steak joint only now it's exceeded my price point for what they are offering. It's good, but my experience was not worth the $100 I paid for one person, for Classic Prime Rib, 10oz, 1 Caesar cocktail, 2 glasses of Ontario wine, a cappuccino and ice-cream. Honestly I have no issues paying for a great food experience but the Keg is not Mortons.

We were there last night, a group of four. We all enjoyed our meals. The steaks were done to perfection. Our Server, Amanda, was very nice, very friendly with knowledge of the mansions history. Great atmosphere! We were in Toronto to see The Phantom and made reservation for dinner. If we lived closer , this would be our new favourite Keg.

Steak is the speciality and they do it extremely well. Little pricey but worth the money. We went on a Friday and was very busy so book early. Staff were friendly and beer/ wine choice standard. Free parking on premises and situated in a lovely old building

Im giving 2 stars because personally I don't want to pay fine dining prices for a chain restaurant with pre frozen food... The portions are way to small for the price and quality of the food is meh. I would rather go support a local restaurant that has quality ingredients for a reasonable price and better portion sizes. I would like to add that anytime I have been there the service is always great and they are super friendly, so 5 stars for the people working.

My Favorite restaurant ever!! Staff are incredibly amazing. Had 25 people for my birthday and because it was on a Friday night they would not take a reservation. We still showed up and they were super accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after and the manager even thanked me for choosing the Mansion to celebrate my birthday at!! Food was spectacular and all 25 of us were incredibly pleased. Not from the area but I will definitely go back!

Beautiful interior and as it stands differently than all Kegs, it makes it more appealing to come here. It does get very busy so a reservation is recommended. It has multiple rooms that can seat numerous guests. The food here is like all kegs and pricing does not differ as well. Staff is friendly/knowledgeable and food comes out quick. There isn't any background music here (or it may be very low volumed) and hence makes it cozy.

Service was very good. Price was fair for the portion size. My only reason for not giving five stars was that the steak was very poorly cooked. I ordered medium rare and it was medium well at least. Absolutely no pink. I'm a huge steak guy and that was disappointing. Granted I'm sure it was a fluke, but at $55 a plate....shouldn't happen. However my wife's food was delicious.

Food was great, and our server was fantastic. We took an Uber so we didn't have to deal with parking, but it looked like enough to be convenient. Walking in you immediately feel how different this keg is. The mansion still feels like a home that has been converted to a restaurant, rather than just another keg. We enjoyed eating and drinking in the lounge upstairs, really made our evening feel special. Service was attentive and prompt, and food came out faster than expected. We'll definitely be heading back to this location before going to another keg.

The food was delicious. I had a cheesecake for desert and it was the best one I've ever had in my whole life. The staff is very friendly and kind. It's not a cheap place to eat, but the overall quality definitely justifies the price.

Absolutely loved my time at the Mansion. It was absolutely gorgeous. We had appetizers up in the bar area, which was very busy, but still really nice atmosphere. Our server was very helpful and kind. We then sat downstairs in the library for our dinner. It was nice, dark, romantic and just really beautiful. Our waiter was really nice and personable. WE requested to read the book of ghost stories which was really neat. The food was fantastic also. I cannot wait to go back!

The Keg Steakhouse + Bar in Thunder Bay is easily the best restaurant in town. The quality of the food is among the best you can get. Be aware that prices are quite steep but certainly justified. Customer service is excellent as well. The only negative point is the very cold air conditioning and I mention this as someone who adores Canadian winters.

I went there for my first wedding anniversary. Not only the food was awesome but they brought us a cake. When our server Jordan came to know it was our first wedding anniversary, he got us a nice cake. Had a gr8 time.

Quick and extremely friendly service. If there is a keg to go to, the keg mansion is the one to be at. The interior decor is outstanding. We had steaks medium rare and they were excellent. The scallop wrapped bacon is also delicious.

The service I received today was so excellent. I ordered the peppercorn steak(not knowing what it was) and the spice was so overwhelming for me. My server Jamie and the manager Shawn got me not only a new steak, they brought me a whole new meal! I'm so happy with my meal and the service we received. Thank you!!!!

The quality of the food is great, the medium rare, is actually medium rare...love love love the building each room has its own character, if you like old vintage buildings, this is a place for you. The service is great, we always get very friendly servers! The only thing I didn't like was he wine. I ordered by glass 6oz, and the taste was very acidic, I always order the same one when I go to the Keg, but this time it felt like they poured from an open bottle that has been sitting there for a while. I didn't complain but might do it next time... in general, food is great, place is great and maybe order the whole bottle rather than a glass.

Went early and had no problem getting a seat. As it being my wifes first time there, we were seated in a romantic corner. Was able to walk around the building before it got to crowded, what an awesome place to see. Our server was outstanding, food was quick n hot. What a great way to start our Saturday night date night.

Always an amazing time at the Keg but the mansion is a different experience. This old, history packed mansion is cozy yet elegant and is always a great place to enjoy a good steak. Amazing people and service. Specials on cocktails everyday. It’s a bit pricey but comes with a fancy mansion. I always go to the lounge, I love the couches area. Highly recommend. Cool place for groups as well but they don’t take reservations for Friday and Saturday. I was always lucky and always found a good spot though. Try the tartare.

This place is pretty awesome, good service, great food and a decent wine list. My wife and I both ordered the prime rib dinner, I highly recommend the ceaser salad, the mashed potatoes were better than the twice baked potato and the twice baked potato wasn't bad just not as good as the mashed. The dining room was very clean and tastefully decorated. Just a suggestion for the chef try grilling the green beans. Also we ordered the Queen's Street Cider and it was one of the best ciders I have ever had, Unfortunately we can not find any off sale to take home with us.

I'm not much a Keg person but this location is a must. You don't need to like the keg to enjoy the amazing ambience, it's definitely worth the trip. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food and had no issues. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. This location can get very busy so be prepared to wait.

Services was good as to be expected for the keg restaurant chain. In average on all our visit the stake was cook properly to our request. But the flavor are a bit dull, maybe due to standardized for all costumers so it lack the punch in flavor. Or may be it was just me. Almost forgot to mention the quality of the beef, it was ok, medium grade in my opinion. Side dish are normal, can't do anything much from the volume of food that need to push out. I could make the same dish with all AAA ingredients for half price so the gap wasn't that big. Over all it is a great place to go occasionally.
