This place did a five star job of taking my money faster than a bully stealing lunch money at recess. The restaurant isn't fully open yet. There are mainy sandwiches and cold options are available. Obviously there are only limited slot machines available to help keep distance and spread of Covid19. I did not see any card games going while I was there. Granted, my visit was early in the day and the $100.00 I brought lasted me all of ten minutes, if that. Due to the pandemic, a lot has changed at the Gateway Casino. The one thing that remains the same, is how your money disappears shortly upon arrival. I refrained from withdrawing more funds and instead, I shuffled out of there staring at the floor with the look of bitter disappointment on my face. Next time Casino. Next time victory will be most likely yours again. There is wheelchair accessible parking as well as the entrance. When the restaurant does open fully, I do recommend it. I've had a few very good meals there. Know your limit, play within it people.

Lots of vagrants around this area. The casino security do a great job taking care of the vagrants on casino grounds and in the casino. But be extremely careful walking anywhere outside the parking lot. lots of gang beatings in the area. Casino has great food, super clean, and is a decent venue. unfortunately the location is sub par.

Never win any more u would have to spend 400 dollars just to win 20 dollars. I figure the shore line slots are more fun ND gets u the amount u want to win. But this casino is way to expensive to play slots. Nobody wins anymore. But yet it is so tempting to play. I must have put around 400000 in the past 3 years ND prolly only got bak around 2000.00 So be careful love how much u spend ND be responsible. The machine are programed to take ur money ND not the other way around. This is like legally stealing money out of people's free will by tempting others ND tricking them that they would feel like they are going to win. It is fun to play game ND to get urself out of the mind within if u want to escape the real world for a bit. Lol x2 ha ha ha... You need better crowd control when doing contests, I find your only entrance into the casino TOO crowded when trying to come and leave and I barely come to this casino as it is. In case of an emergency I feel that area would be VERY unsafe and end with several casualties. You should have a better plan in place for contests to keep the crowd away from the entrance and more spread out into the casino.

Lots of 1 and 2 cents slots about 6 -25 cent slots and black jack tables start at 10 dollars you figure all those cheap slots they would have a 5 dollar black jack table. Lost 260 dollars won't be going back "might if they have 5 black jack"

This casino always has something wrong with it. There is always a crew working on a closed off area . The slot machines are always getting moved to different spots. The crew that gets the money out of the machines, or whatever it is they do, never give a warning or heads up. They just come and tell you that you have to get up and leave the area for a few minutes while they do their thing. Rude!

Went there in July 2019. Renos are now finished. Seems to be a little better spaced. Smaller casino. We can find each other easily!???? Ever since the new olg contracted management company took over quality has suffered. Unless you sit in the bar there are no seats anywhere to relax, except for two wooden benches near the exit doors. Chairs at machines are frequently in the way, left haphazard. O.K. for the size of it Payouts were about the same as everywhere. .

This seems to be a below average OLG casino. The check in takes for ever, which seems standard at OLG. The inside and gaming options is worse than average. Many of the people gambling here don’t seem very happy so the vibe is a bit sad. Hopefully they will open the table games soon. They are missing some games like bubble craps.

This casino is a good place to have fun when have spare time and have nothing to do or when you want to get away from everything and take your mind off things.. they have a really good restaurant which I love to eat in.... I really love the prime rib which they can ask you how you want it and they will cook you order just like the way you want it and if it us not don't right they will take it and make it until it is done the way you like it to be cooked... I think there is the best restaurant I came across in Thunder Bay. I can say go and have fun with your buddies and have a wonderful time... have a good day people
