Great local restaurant, I have always had good food here. The brunch menu has many good options that will fill you up all day. The lunch and dinner menu are also filled with great options. The service is typically great from my experiences. If it was ever slow the was fully packed, and they can seat alot of people. That is expected, but if that many people are coming to eat there has to be a reason. Would recommend trying atleast once to see for your self, you wont be disappointed.

We did a road trip to Thunder Bay and randomly choose this place for lunch! I cannot believe how amazing the food was! Compliments to the chef! Do not miss this place if you are visiting Thunder Bay.

While the food was good, I found the service to be lacking. The waitress, while friendly, wasn't very attentive. They also seemed to have a pretty limited menu. I went on a Sunday afternoon and they only had a small brunch menu with mostly very heavy dishes. It would nice to see some lighter meatless options on the menu. That being said, everything tasted good and seemed homemade.

The portion is huge! When I am active, I make two meals of it. Now that I don't get around as much, I turn it into three meals. The largest Yorkshire popover I have ever had. And it is delicious. The soup of the day, or salad that I receive with it, is always delicious. Highly recommend.

A BIG shout out to Daytona’s for being so accommodating this Thanksgiving Sunday! My family came last minute with three tots and 6 adults and they had the table all cleaned and ready for us - food was DELICIOUS (The new brunch menu has a SURPLUS of amazing options) and the service was friendly and refreshing - definitely keeping this on our go to list for Thunder Bay dining. ????

Great restaurant. I love how they help the community. For a company to go through lock downs and restrictions its amazing to see them giving back to the community. I haven't tried the food there yet but I am looking to go soon and I'll make sure to update the review once I do. Until than keep up the good work.

The best restaurant in Thunder Bay, hands down. In my two years here, nothing else has even come close. Very reasonable prices for the quality of food you get. Overall just a great place, I can’t recommend it enough. I’m very glad you’ve joined Skip The Dishes, I’ve been missing the food dearly since this whole pandemic started.

Everything here is so delicious! My favourite is the buffalo chicken sandwich! Hot and tasty! I believe they use the heart beat hotsauce local to us here in thunder bay too! The buttermilk chicken wrap is also one of the best chicken wraps in town! Super creamy and one of my top 3 hands down.

Really great food. The Korean BBQcauliflower was fantastic. Had the blackened salmon sandwich, it was nice, cooked well I would have liked a bit more seasoning on it. The staff was super friendly and had good suggestions.

This is my favourite place to eat in Thunder Bay because the food is well prepared and served warm. There's nothing fancy on the menu, which is fine and consists of the kind of stuff you'd expect to find at any family restaurant. I especially like the quesedilla and the fries are good too.

Always tasty food and great service. Hadn't been there in over a year and both waitresses came over to say hello. Our server even remembered my standard order. Was very impressed. Will keep this place in my top 10.

We were sent to Daytona's by the Holiday Inn Express staff and it was a great dinner! We ordered a summer salad and taco and they were super! Usually we don't try dessert but it sounded so good and it did not disappoint! The mint brownie and banana cream pie were so GOOD! The staff were friendly and did a great job. Atmosphere is sports bar/casual. All ages can enjoy it!

Amazing place, the prices are unreal, and they have a really good cause. Maybe it's just me but I find that some staff tend to be... Reserved? Either way, haha down this is the best choice shop around for the price and for what they do for the community.

Just left there after a terrible meal. First thing, an inch of foam on a $ 6.50 glass of beer.Medium rare steak, was so overcooked it was dry and tough. Amazed they have a chef in the kitchen. It sat on the counter 10 minutes before it was brought to us lukewarm. Waitress was too busy chatting. Did take six dollars off but I would have been happier with a properly done steak. First time out and disappointed.

Meals were amazing. Nice atmosphere. The server however didn't even know if they had a booster seat, but pointed to a corner and "gave us permission" to look and see if we could find one "over there". We had to ask for menus and water. The meals came out in a reasonable amount of time and were fresh and hot. The service however..... Memorable for all the wrong reasons.

Went there not too long ago and got the half price half nachos and the cheaper wings. Food was great the service was not. Waitress brought our drinks asked if we wanted a few more minutes with the menu we said yes. she didn't come back for at least 10-15 minutes and we had decided much earlier on. Our food came that was great. The waitress didn't ask how everything was until after we were done eating also never got our drinks refilled. Then she disappeared?? Believed to be out on the patio with some other co workers. We did not have our table cleared or anyone ask us if we wanted our bill for at least 30-40 minutes after we had already finished eating it was ridiculous. The other waitress that was working came and asked if we had settled our bill and I said nope she hasn't even come to clear the table or give us boxes or anything and she looked very unimpressed with that. Then eventually our actual waitress came back inside, didn't apologize for her being gone or anything. came and gave us our bills and failed to tell us that the salsa and sour cream for the nachos were extra since they were half sized. Not a big deal but you still need to let the paying customer know things like that when we thought they were included. Didn't ask us if we wanted our customer copy of our receipts either. Overall love the food NOT impressed with the service at all. And we were also her ONLY table and she couldn't keep up.

We ordered fish and chips. The coleslaw tasted like it was spoiled. The fish was delicious, the batter was thick. The fries were seasoned, and so yummy! The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy. Our server Maddie was very nice and on top of things! When we got there around 5 the place was empty except for 2tables and by the time we left it was packed at every table! Very nice local place. We'll definitely go again when we come back this way!

Breakfast was terrible here, the sausages were over cooked, jam was pretty hard and the homestyle fries had way to much seasoning on there, the eggs were undercooked and in my mother's toast she found a piece of hair (was not hers). Will most likely not be eating here again

The service was great until we had 2 wait forever to get a refill of water..... but the good came out wick and absolutly delicious!! Mozza sticks are like logs, the gravy on the pork belly poutine was incredibly seasoned and the chicken oscar was great!

Despite the Skip driver taking an alternate route (second delivery) and the food being slightly warmer than Boulevard Lake in June, the food was still beyond amazing. Huge portions, great prices, and delish food. Hats off Daytona's!!!

Called ahead to ask if the patio and kitchen would be open and they said yes until 10pm. Got there at 8:55pm only to be told that the patio is closed. When I insisted and told them about my phone call they let us sit outside but then said they can only serve us deep fried snacks and nothing else on the menu. Everything was so greasy. Bad experience

Ordered fish & chips for takeout. Order was ready on time. The fish came in large pieces, but the little tub of cole slaw had an obvious odour of decay.

Good food, great portions, ok price. Table of 4 with 3 drinks came to $140 with tax and tip. Blackened chicken wrap was good, club was huge and fish and chips were a bit over done and mostly batter. Blackened burger was OK but a bit dry. Fries were pretty good. Place looses another point because the decor is non-existent. Reminded me of a conference room at the local Holiday Inn with carpeted floor and banquet chair and tables. I know we are spacing but some artwork, plants and better lighting would have gone long long way.

This is a great restaurant. The service is always prompt and consistent. The menu is amazing and makes it very hard to choose what to eat (in a good way because I want it all). The only downside is that it does have a slightly bland ambiance. The only thing I would tell customers to be weary about is ordering the pot stickers. You only get 6 and it's 12 dollars. Kind of not worth the price for the portion. However I will always come back for the other items on the menu and friendly service!

Came here for wings since everyone’s been raving about the food but I found my chicken dry and lacking in flavor, especially the dry ones. Maybe I’ll have to come back to try their other offerings but I won’t be coming back for wings. There was no light on the patio as well during the evening and it was hard to see the food. Might be nice if there were even candles on the table but nothing was provided. Service is great otherwise.

The portions are HUGE and the price is decent for the portions. The kids meal is amazing. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of it... I took the photo of mine, my husband's and my mom's meals. Apparently this restaurant is always busy but we went at 4pm before the dinner rush and it wasn't busy... The waitress was very nice and helpful. The food came quickly. It is a very clean restaurant. I did not use the washroom so I can't speak about that area.

Had the Buffalo chicken sandwich, Brussel sprouts, and steak. The sandwich was huge, chicken was cooked perfectly and the Brussel sprouts were heavy but delicious. Great value / bang for your buck for quality, you won’t be disappointed.

This is a sports bar without the frills, great food and lovely attentive staff. Food is hot, plentiful and so good! Great place to check out when you're visiting the area. They take Amex, if you're there on business.
