Incredibly beautiful outside dining, and the wines are superb.

Slow service at the tasting area. Reservation for a table is great but at 20 dollars, a bit steep and that didn't guarantee an umbrella which in 93 degree weather with damn near no wind, they decided to remove claiming they were gonna get damaged from said no existent wind. We love the place the first time we went but after this visit, you lost two customers.

Brendan Paul Mitchell

Very friendly staff that provides exceptional service on quality hand made local goods. Perfect place to get away for the day anytime of year.

We visited Nashoba Valley Winery for an outdoor wedding and reception in their Pavilion, July 2018. The grounds are very pretty and the view looking out over a valley is nice. The wedding service was beautiful, the people were happy and it was a fine day in a good place. The reception food was good, although we did notice servers still carrying plates out to table #16, about 35 minutes after we were served - a long wait. Understaffed? Nashoba’s wines are OK, we did find one dry white wine. After a few glasses of wine and feeling nothing, I wondered if perhaps we were drinking a “special watered-down wedding reception wine?” Unknown. Maybe it was just the heat inside the hall? Nashoba owner-managers don’t appear to have invested in needed infrastructure. I am not sure how one builds a near 4,000 square-foot reception hall, gets an Occupancy Permit and never builds indoor restrooms. I do know they failed to design or spend on an adequate air conditioning system. Heat in the Pavillion built up uncomfortably for our group; finally they opened the doors on an 81-degree day and the room cooled down a little. Apparently Nashoba has invested nothing on indoor plumbing in any public building, so the facilities are all outhouses. Well, porta-pottie trailers. Such trailers serve the essential purpose, but they do let us know the managers put ultra-low-cost above the customer experience. The same is true for the undersized air conditioning system, the owners demonstrate they care little about the customer experience.

5 Stars for a beautiful and quiet weekday. I’d only give 3 stars on the weekend. The experience is so much better on a weekday.

Came by at 2pm on a Sunday for a wine tasting with out-of-town relatives. Pre-paid for the tasting, but not one of us could get anywhere near the servers. The bar layout was terrible, most people were hanging around waiting for service and couldn't get it. We waited half an hour for *some* kind of service, then gave up and asked for a refund, then waited for the manager to approve it. She didn't even seem surprised.. must happen a lot.

First time shopping here. Lots of parking. Nicely layed out store featuring many wines and spirits at reasonable prices. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Not many outside activities because of the season. Will look forward to visit next year when it's warmer.

Ian Bowers (Iggdawg)

Great place to come by with the family and kids. Have some wine, let the little ones run it out. A great time is had by all. Bring a blanket if you get after it's been open for an hour or two, seats fill up quick. Also bring an SUV if you have one, parking can involve some rough terrain if it's busy.

The place is nice the guy with sageway was very friendly BUT the owner was horrible. We were seated outdoors consuming some food and he came to every table that had kids advising people that the kids were running around and bothering other people!! What are the kids supposed to do in outdoor area. My son is 5 years old autistic and we told him that but he was not understanding. The kids were bothering no one. The owner should be ashamed never go back there again !!!!

Great views of the vineyard and picturesque hills. Real nice people to deal with in the shop.

They are doing a different food truck every Friday along with Wine Tasting and Beer Tasting from Bolton Brewery. Great offerings on both sides! Awesome for families, very pet friendly. All kids seem to gravitate towards each other and make friends. Definitely plan on heading over during the summer on a Fridays afternoon, it's a ton of fun.

What a busy little place! Kid and dog friendly. There is apple picking when in season. Over 10 different kinds of apples to choose from. The grounds have so many picnic tables, umbrella tables and a huge coveted patio upstairs and down to sit under. The store has a great selection of wines, beet, and distilled liquors all made on the premises. We went on a Saturday and it was very busy, stand in lines busy, but you moved fairly fast. You can purchase a Nashoba winery etched glass for $4.00 along with your bottle of wine you can drink, outside. They check ids then put a paper bracelet on your wrist. There are cheeses and crackers for sales. Multiple food options outside to choose from. A great place to sit back and talk and enjoy a nice bottle of wine and food with.

Beautiful scenery and delicious food!

I love this place great selection of wines, and house made hard liquors. They have expanded a lot of areas, wine tastings outside now, I haven't been apple picking, but looks fun. I recommend take some lucky lady on a date here during warm weather days, you won't be disappointed, also lots of people, but you can always find a place here to have a wonderful time!!! ???? I forgot to mention they do food, and great tasting beer...????

This is a phenomenal place. Located in the middle of apple and peach orchards on top of a fairly large estate, Nashoba Valley Winery is an awesome place to go wine tasting. It is of course not limited to just wine. They have their own beer and whiskey. I highly recommend this place to wine connoisseurs. Post-Covid-19 update: They made several changes to the place. Now you have to make reservations or call ahead. I think it is so much nicer this way. You are away from others and have minimal contact with people.

Olivia Russell

This place was horrible. I see the appeal for someone who wants to drink wine while they pick but that's just about the only upside to this place. The spots they do allow you to pick at are horrible, over picked, and have barely any edible apples. It costs $20 for one peck, which is inevitably the highest price I've ever seen. The outdoor staff was rude and abrasive, nearly running into my tiny dog flying way too fast on a Segway, and rudely telling us to stop climbing trees when the only apples at all were at the top, and no ladders were provided. Nearly everyone was going into the restricted sections to pick when the staff weren't looking, and everyone was complaining their were no apples. I wouldn't have minded paying $20 if found some apples but I could barely fill my bag. I won't be returning or recommending to anyone. This is the first one star review I have ever left for a business in my life, so you can tell this was a bad experience.

Every Friday during the summer it's Food Truck Friday (singular). Inexpensive food, decent drink and a large grassy area got kids and dogs.

Interesting tour. This is different than going to Napa or Sonoma or other major wineries. The tour is both more educational and easier to understand for someone not into all the technical terms and industry customs. We ended up touring on the last day of their Apple season (they also have orchards) and were able to pick apples for a good price with part of the price going to the local conservation trust and part going to wounded veterans and the rest as a discount to us. So, in effect, we made two donations and got a free bag of apples. Not sure whether this was a one-time deal due to this year's bumper crop or an annual event.

Ordered dinner, wine and a lemon lavender martini kit to celebrate my husbands birthday. The curbside pick up was easy. Our food was fantastic! We really enjoyed the lemon lavender martini!

Josh and Daniel were absolutely amazing. I went with three other people this rainy Saturday. We had the tour all to ourselves. Josh was very knowledgeable about the history of the winery. He also informed us about the fermentation process and was able to answer all of our silly questions! I highly recommend this establishment.

An absolutely beautiful setting, fantastic food and great wine, outdoors for a perfect picnic, or in the tasting room for an elegant wine tasting adventure. Perfect for a date.

Cute, pretty location, good staff. Wine is a little too fruity and sweet for me, but the tasting bar for beer and wine is great.

Was very excited to visit this place, however their response left me a bit disappointed. Plus, they have very limited food options for vegetarian folks. After asking a basic question by email to clarify whether outside food was permitted or not this was the reply " you can get your own cheeses as long as you get them from our own store or restaurant. We do not allow outside food from your home, your garden, your neighbor's house or from any other source". Sure, I'll prefer sitting at my home, neighbor's home or any other restaurant but will not give business to such a place ever.

Nancy Tibbetts

Great food and wine (once it's actually delivered to your picnic table). Almost gave it two stars because of service. Be prepared to wait, wait, and wait for your wine with plastic cups. You have to buy the glasses if you want a glass. Maybe covid caused this but that's goiya bit too far. Paid 13.00 to reserve the table and was embarrassed that I brought my family there.

We went for lunch and a tasting on a beautiful spring day, and everything was wonderful! What makes this a five star rating is, when we parked we got stuck in mud. One of your employees actually helped me get the car un-stuck and got completely full of mud in the process. Never once was he upset. Above and beyond the call of duty! This patron sure did appreciate that extra help. Thank you!

This is just a fantastic place. Whether you visit for a private event, or one of the many music festivals, or just a quiet afternoon of wine and beer tasting you are going to enjoy yourself. The facility is spacious, clean and welcoming and the staff go out of their way to educate you on the various offerings and make you feel generally welcome to explore. Aside from the wine, beer, cider, and spirits, there is a variety of great food and non-food items for sale. Don't forget to take a tour and also check out the restaurant in the next building over.

Very good and reasonable place. Very big area and totally follow the rules for social distancing. Book a table before you go - if you are planning for weekend. We ordered in advance (online)so food was ready when we reached. They handed over the bag which had everything from food, to napkin to silverware to trash bag. Total contactless experience. We had two wines and a beer , good selection of locally brewed wine. Food was good too. Picnic for two is a very good option.

Stopped to do a wine tasting one Saturday. I have to say that the wine was ok, but the real reason this is a 4 star location is the how the place is setup. There are dozens of picnic tables on the vast lawn area and as long as you purchase your wine, beer or other drinks there you can bring a cooler and your own food and enjoy sitting in the sun with your family and/or friends. We liked it so much, we will do it again soon, but will be better prepared for a picnic lunch.

Geoff Zub

Much different than your standard winery, Nashoba is a great way to try wines that you would otherwise skip. Besides regular grape wines they use a host of other local fruits to make delicious and unique wines. Beer & cider are also brewed on site as well as more alcoholic concoctions using their still. I recommend going on their tour and buying a few extra tickets top sample additional wines at the end.

D Smith

Great wine and spirits, sandwiches well worth it. Have been before and will go again. Wine tasting was well worth the price.

It's a lovely place that's dog-friendly - but we don't feel welcome anymore since the $12 fee to just make a reservation. I understand why there would be a reservation fee and I'm more than happy to support businesses that have brought us joy in the past, but this just feels like a way to grab a couple extra bucks instead of ensuring people are fulfilling their reservations. Until this fee goes towards a purchase or is reduced significantly, I'd rather go somewhere else.

Understaffed for the crowd. Not enough signs on the property.

Gina Basteri

Not a spot I will return to for apple picking, as the atmosphere, landscaping and quality of the apples was not up too snuff! We travel to orchards throughout New England and there are much better spots near by - including nicewicz farm just up the road - where you can get better quality, more personable staff and a far better price. When we entered the store we could not find any info on PYO, so we went to the register where the salesperson held up a 1/2 peck bag and said it was $20 so we said we would take 2. Then once she rang us out, we saw just passed the register that the bags were displayed with price labels and the peck bag was $30. This may have been a very different review if she had simply suggested to us to get the peck, as I was very disappointed that we paid $40 for a peck of apples that we picked in an overgrown, muddy field amongst cars. There were rotted apples throughout the field, that you couldn’t avoid stepping in because the grass was so high, which is uncommon this early in the season. The apples had to be carefully chosen because so many had calyx end rot and dry end rot. They also have rules such as “try one apple per bag, not per person”, which is something I have never seen at any orchard we have been too. This review is only regarding our experience with the orchard, as we did not purchase anything else, order food or do a tasting because the orchard was so disappointing.

This was a pleasant enough place to sit and chat, but I was appalled that there was no option for free tap water (they expect you to buy bottles). They also refused to let our party of 7 sit on the (much cooler, empty) patio because those tables typically sit 6.

As a winery (tours, wine, etc): 5 stars. As a wedding venue: Redacted (see owner's response) As a winery: You won't have a bad time. I walked in to have a glass of wine and sit outside. The staff member inside attempted to explain that I needed to buy a tasting to do so. In his attempt, he was condescending, rude, and confusing. Wine is supposed to be inviting, fun, and personable. I felt quite the opposite at Nashoba. Disappointing.

Crystal Hosking

Nashoba valley is easy to get to. Parking seemed ample. Apple picking was $20 cash only which is a little expensive but okay. There were some good apples if you searched for them. The lines at the store were crazy long. Tickets for the wine tasting were $8 to taste 5 wines. Not a terrible price. The pours were so small though. For a couple of the pours, I got less than a mouthful. Getting to the bar to sample the wines was the worst part. It was so incredibly crowded and you had to almost fight people to get to the bar. I didn't really take a liking to any of the 5 wines I tried, but it was fun to be able to snack on some cheese and try some new flavors and catch up with friends. It's a beautiful location. If anything, bring a picnic lunch and your own favorite bottle to enjoy the outside area of Nashoba Valley if you're in the area.

Great selection of a multitude of alcoholic beverages. Nice place for a picnic. I would guess the fruit picking is nice but I haven't tried it yet.

Pearl Risberg

I visited with a group of friends (about 14 of us), and unfortunately, we found the new rules (six people per table, assigned tables that were spread out so we couldn't interact once we were split up, no outside food allowed in, no picnic blankets to accommodate friends near our table) to really detract from the environment/experience. My wine was alright - they seem to specialize in sweeter, fruity, whites - but we decided to leave after being nagged by staff to stick to our assigned tables and not sit on the grass. I imagine much of this was Covid-19-induced change, but in my opinion, they've overdone the rigidity of the guest experience, and we did not feel welcome/relaxed. Perhaps it would be better for couples/small groups.

A winery within an hour's drive from downtown Boston? This must be too good to be true. Well... it wasn't. The place itself, wine aside, is awesome. It's scenic, very well maintained and clean. That being said, our experience there left us expecting a bit more. We easily found the place and parked, walked over by their tiny little pond and proceede right into the store. We purchased 2 tastings for $5 each which cover 5 different pours. Most pours will only count as 1 but since they've now expanded into beer and spirits, some of their finer or stronger libations will count as two. Just keep that in mind. The wife decided to try five different wines, some better than others but I decided to change it up a little and get some diversity in there. I went with a couple of red wines, which were mediocre at best and decided that I'd change it up and try a couple of their beers which were actually, to my surprise, pretty damn good. Not amazing by any means, but they were good beers. For my last pour, I decided to try their grappa which wasn't very smooth and frankly pretty terrible. All in all, beer aside, not a great showing. I definitely was expecting better quality wines and spirits. The staff behind the counter was friendly and the wine bought a bottle of white wine which we took outside to hang out in their lawn-area which features a few tables and picnic tables overlooking the vines from the top of the hill. It's gorgeous and the grounds are very well kept. Can't finish your bottle? Not a problem, they'll put a temporary cork back in and package it for you so you can drive home and finish it later. That was kind of awesome. So while the tastings are affordable, the staff both friendly and knowledgeable, I still felt very underwhelmed when it came to their wines. I didn't like the couple that I sampled, and I also tried a couple that my wife had and didn't find anything I liked. There just seemed to be a lack of depth of flavor in their wines; something missing somewhere. They aren't terrible but certainly aren't good. On top of it, there's a real branding issues. All of their labels for their wines and beers are really ugly. Not that it affected the taste or anything but it definitely doesn't help the way they are perceived. Having their kids draw the beer labels while fun, isn't exactly a good idea; The labels are hideous. (Sorry!) But that being said, Nashoba can still be a lot of fun with friends or for a fun, little date. You can bring your own food and snacks and enjoy some beers or wine outside on a gorgeous day, and that's definitely something that I'd consider doing next summer. With that said, just don't expect any high quality wines here.

Tom Randolph

A wonderful Friday evening... Food trucks (expect to wait an hour on line), canine and human puppies, breezes, scenic views, live music, happy people fresh apples!

Food truck Friday was a fun time for everyone. They have fine outdoor space to enjoy food, wine, beer, and the company of friends and family. All for a reasonable price.

Had a great afternoon here with my husband. We had a delicious lunch up at J's restaurant and then walked down to the vineyard for a tasting. The tasting was great, we got to try quite a few wines and spirits, all made in house. We will definitely visit Nashoba Valley Winery again soon!

Beautiful location, friendly staff when they finally got to us, wine.... eh.. don't go for the wine... This is not Chateauneuf.... We went there for lunch recently and were seated instantly as we had made reservations. While others around us received their drinks and entrees, we were totally ignored by the entire staff. After a half hour of this, we spoke up and everyone realized that nobody had been assigned to our table! After a half hour of bumping into us, you'd think that someone might have noticed us there. Once service started, it was good except for receiving the wrong bottle of wine the first time around. All understandable but still inconvenient. Food was very good! Neither of the wines were anything to write home about. California and France have nothing to worry about from Massachusetts vineyards.

I used to really like this spot. The wine is good, and the view is great. Unfortunately I can’t say the same about their customer service. I went there today with my partner and dog to go apple picking, and followed the instructions from the parking lot person to stand at a certain line. I had to wait over 15 minutes in line just to be told I was supposed to go to the store directly and purchase a bag. There were no signs indicating so, only signs were for “now picking apples”. Once I went to the store, there was no cashier available anywhere in the store, and I had a few people ahead of me in line. By the time someone came and it was my turn, I was told they stopped selling apple picking bags at 4pm. As I checked the time, it was 4:03pm, and I told her I had gotten there prior to that. The cashier dismissed me saying that there was nothing that she could do and left. Sad…

Good wine. Hot as hell. Air conditioning? Fans.

Over the years it's been great to see this winery grow. They now offer beer and spirits. They have tons of different tastings. For $10 you receive 5 pours and the worlds best, very large wine glass. I have a hard time not leaving with a case of their wines. They also have tons of places to enjoy a bottle and a picnic. The have one of the cutest knick knack sections, all items wine related of course.

Sara C.

On summer days it is a great place to have a picnic. Their beer is fine.

Kyle Johannessen

This place is a madhouse, I don't understand it. It's not the places fault, perse, but if it takes you 45 minutes to get a glass of wine at a winery, then there's something very wrong. Just go to a bar or something, seriously.

We have been going to Nashoba Valley for years. Ever since our adult children were little. They're adults now and we have a granddaughter (with another on the way). Unfortunately, we went to a local farm this year and it was overcrowded, even though we made reservations due to the COVID pandemic! It's always been nice to pick apples together as a family, let the kids pick them while Mom and Dad sat underneath a tree on the ground, drinking wine, eating cheese, crackers, and some French Bread for lunch. Ahhh, the good ole days. We're going to begin taking our grandchildren there in the future too.

This was a horrible experience...for their Jaas snack shack on the Friday nights. Leave it to the professional food trucks! We waited in line for 40 minutes and then waited for a 1 hour for 2 burgers and 1 pizza. I expected the lines to be long but they should have stopped orders at some point to get caught up. Now I am eating in the dark and everything is shut down. Maybe if you come early it would be a better experience.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I went here for the first time in 2013. It's expanded year over year, each year being better than the last. The property is dog and kid friendly (must be on leash, just the dogs). You can also bring your own food to have a nice picnic. The tastings are reasonably priced with a take home wine glass. The fall brings Apple picking! Great place. Wonderful memories have been made here by my family.

Beautiful setting and lots of wine, spirits and beer. There are food options if you're hungry and plenty of seating inside and out. A beautiful day out!

My niece and I went here yesterday and we had a great time. I bought our tasting tickets online which was fabulous because you get a particular spot at the tasting table to send to do your tasting. The worst thing out of the particular spot at the tasting table is that it's very small with not a lot of room if many people are going to be there. Our wine pourer Sam was excellent very knowledgeable very friendly great personality. The assistant manager Mike was also extremely friendly very knowledgeable and had a great personality. After our tasting my niece and I took a bottle of their American Chardonnay which was delicious and sat outside in the beautiful weather enjoying music sung by Grayson. We had a great day! Definitely will be coming back when the outside tasting table is open.

The gorgeous grounds are open to the public for picnicking. All they ask is that you not bring your own alcoholic beverages. And why would you? They have this beautiful store with tasting areas to sample their homegrown wines, beers, and spirits that make purchases irresistible, given you can consume freely in their grounds with open spaces, shaded areas, large and roofed decks, ponds with Adirondack chairs. Of course, there is the peach and apple picking. It's like a festival here every weekend. What are you waiting for? Come over and have fun? (I'm not positive but a couple may have been mating by the peach trees. Good peaches, btw.)

Really beautiful location. Wine was delicious and so was the food. Great for a nice relaxing lunch.

2 years ago today (September 2nd 2017) we had our wedding there. The food is amazing there and they have a lot of varieties of wine to choose to serve during the wedding. If you want to try the kind of food they make, try their restaurant. We did quite a few tastings there (which is something you can do there for a small price, even if you aren't getting married there) before we settled on what we wanted. During the wedding we took a lot of great outside pictures for our wedding album and they even arrange for you to use their cellar for a few photos the day of. It is a beautiful place to have a wedding and the best part, we get to go there every year on our anniversary to celebrate with some wine from there and a little picnic. Even if it's raining they have a covered area which is still amazing to sit at while it's raining and have a semi outdoors picnic. They bring various food trucks at times and you can check on the website to see what they will have the day you are planning on going. They also offer Apple picking (which we did once) but keep in mind the last bag of sold around 4 I believe even though the place closes at 5. Another thing they have which you should definitely try (and have as a dessert at your wedding there), are the best Apple cider donuts I've ever had. Our guests loved them so much they were taking some home with them and even though we had one of the best wedding cakes I've ever had, I still had a few of their donuts (like 5 or 6). I love that place and I'm glad we get to go there several times a year now.

One of our favorite wineries in the area. We first started going eleven years ago and not many people visited, today we saw over a thoudand people one the grounds. There were lots of families and dogs in the picnic area. There were lots of people drinking wine and enjoying the fall day. The rest room was an porta potty trailer. When you have little ones you need to know these things.

Thom Mitchell

Good food (including the surprisingly good hot dog), good wines, good atmosphere on a gorgeous fall afternoon. The bees, however, were quite a distraction & nuisance.

Katie Weaver

Went with a small group of wine lovers to do the tasting and have a picnic. The owner was extremely rude to our group as we were unaware that we needed to have prior arrangements. The winery was empty so we were shocked at how we were treated. I still spent $300 and left a 3 star Facebook review for the winery. Then the owner came onto Facebook berating and threatening me. I would rather do business with sane individuals then ever spend a cent with someone so disgusting and rude. Way to go guy I'm so glad that's how you treat to military veterans and a group of professionals.

We used to just get in the car and go here. Don't ever do that. You can't pick apples, taste wine, picnic on the grass, or do anything without a reservation. The place is a victim of success. Long time customer and have watched the evolution of nashoba winery.I'm very impressed with all of the changes over the years. The addition of beer and then spirits, food programs(jays, snack shack, meals at private tables in a beautiful vineyard)it's our own little slice of Napa right here in our backyard.please support this gem through this pandemic so it may continue to prosper and evolve when it's over.wine ,food and spirits make people happy

Jacob Matthews

We went Sunday, June 28 and were extremely disappointed to find out that we couldn’t even converse with family members that were there and seated at a different table. We asked if our 4 kids could run around in a secluded corner of the outdoor seating area and were told no. The cherry on top was having to make a reservation to use the bathroom. We all understand that businesses are having to make special accommodations to open back up, but we’ve not seen anything close to the extreme interpretation of the rules like we saw at the winery. The website has posted a statement regarding the high rate of cancelled reservations. My guess would be that people aren’t too excited to follow the winery’s rules and decide to stay home or spend their money at establishments that are taking a more realistic approach to the new guidelines. Best of luck to the winery, but we’ll probably wait to come back next year.

Tricia Smith

Be aware that there is only one food truck there on Friday evenings. Although the food was very good, I literally waited over an hour in line at the food truck. The food at cafe was not good; they did not have pizza which they advertised and the veggie burger was inedible. The beers are reasonably priced at $6, but the 8 ounce cup of sangria for $10.00 is ridiculous. There is no music, so if you are happy with just hearing screaming kids running around, this would be perfect for you. The concept is great, the landscape is beautiful, but there are issues that need to be addressed.

Abby DePasquale

So thankful to be at Nashoba Valley Winery today. We were greeted with such kindness and although it was less than 40 degrees out, we loved our outdoor experience. The Nashoba Team setup a personal outdoor heater for us which truly helped. However, it was the service that truly blew me away. These folks have everything figured out. They provided a trash bag, bagged plates/silverware/napkins, and a digital menu. I thought the wine tasting was so sweet! All of the wines came in small tubes and you could pour yourself a glass. The food was delicious and we pretty much had everything on the menu (charcuterie board, cheese fondue, and butternut soup). Besides the wine tasting, the mulled wine (apple cranberry) was delicious. So creative! These folks truly have made an experience out of a situation that is completely out of their control. Thank you for a great Sunday and thank you for all that you do to make people feel safe. It is appreciated.

My family and I visited the winery this weekend and after driving 45 minutes with a one-year-old and an infant, which we knew would be a challenge, we thought we’d at least be rewarded with a good time once we arrived. Unfortunately our experience was less than that. Our plan was to grab something small for lunch and head out apple picking. After arriving at about 2:30 and not finding any parking, we followed others who parked on Berlin Rd. We walked up the hill to the winery and waited about an hour in line to order our one-year-old lunch and an additional 25 mins for the food to be ready. In the meantime, Bolton Police arrived in instructed all cars parked on Berlin wall to move. After packing our whole family up and getting back down the hill to move our car, we found a police officer ticketing our car. If we had been notified by staff that we could not have parked on that road it would’ve saved us a lot of trouble. We ended up having to pack both kids are back in the car to move the car and drive around to the front of the winery to pick up our food which by then it was 4 PM. We ate our less than appetizing food in the car live parked since there was no parking and just decided to head back home. So all in all, we ended up paying $10 for an under cooked pizza, throwing most of it away, getting a ticket, not going apple picking and very cranky kids which in turn makes for cranky parents. As people who are in the restaurant industry, there are many improvements they could make to make this place more enjoyable and running more smoothly. It is a great concept in theory, but there are a lot of fine details to be worked out, such as, more access to food products and ways to access beer and wine without waiting for hours. Until those changes are made, I don’t think we will be visiting again any time soon and will have to postpone our family apple picking trip for another time at another location.

Horrible customer service from a horribly rude employee. He was an older man with glasses, I really wish I got his name. He turned us away from a wine tasting after we called ahead and told them when we would arrive. He said on the phone that we could do the tour when we arrived, but turned us away after driving 45 minutes to get there. I will never purchase anything from here after seeing how rudely they treat their customers.

Don't waste your time or money unless you only want macs which I personally don't like. I chose this orchard because they advertised honeycrisp apples. We also were interested in picking Gravensteins. We paid in advance for a 1/2 bushel $25. Picked a few galas and headed over to the honeycrisp. There was only 1 small row and it was picked through. Disappointing since this is really what I came for. Headed over to the Gravensteins which are supposed to be good for cooking and baking. The apples were the size of a larger crabapple. It would probably take 40 to make one pie. So here I am with a few galas and a mostly empty bag which I need to fill now because they make you pay in advance. So the only option was to fill it with galas. I really wanted my money back and to go to another orchard. I will not be coming back.

Eva Chin

I would give this place a 0 star rating. Refused to serve us Asians. We have a group of 19, they said they max at 12 for big tables. We ask to be seated separately from each other as a group of 6 each. Rude old guy came over said they don't want us to walk amount the tables for interaction. Yet, this place require their customers to pack their own trash and pickup their own food walking amount the grounds to serve themselves.

We ate at the want-to-be winery and quite frankly not impressed by the bizarre style food. How many ways can you decorate a carrot and still tastes like a carrot? Expensive! Wine and beer are rather funky at best. Parking on a Weekend is run by children so take care that you don't get hit. Thumbs down and wont go again.

Martin Walsh

Though staff were excellent, Apple picking here is no longer a family (with young kids) friendly environment. Historically, families were able to have a picnic on the grounds and enjoy a bottle of Nashoba wine while kids ate/recouped from a day of apple picking. This option no longer exists as the grounds are now geared towards "restaurant like" tables and reservations. Unfortunately, after many years of enjoyment, we will not be returning back here.

Nashoba Valley Winery is phenomenal for a safe activity while social distancing. Their tables are so far apart and the service (online ordering and table-side delivery) is very minimal contact. We asked if we could sit on the patio and they said the tables were reserved so we sat at a picnic table and the sun came out so we asked if we could get an umbrella from a table with one that was not being used and they said we could rent one for 15 dollars! We were having lunch and we have to pay 15 dollars not to die of heat stroke! Good luck we'll go somewhere else from now on! We were there for over an hour and those patio seats that were reserved nobody was sitting there the entire time. Food and craft beer were good but give the patrons some shade.

UPDATE: In response to Nashoba Valley Winery's reply on this review, I would like to point out that the wines that I tried were the Estate Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Estate Chardonnay, Estate Vignoles, and Amora Port. I did not attempt to try the other non-traditional wines as I knew those would not be something I would enjoy. Furthermore, with all the wines I tried, I simply had to pour them out at they were undrinkable. In response to their food/tofu analogy, I think it would be more accurate to say this is the difference between a good restaurant and a mediocre one. ------ For as busy as this place was, I would have expected more from the wines. Frankly, if you do have any sort of taste for wine, this is not the place for you. Everything that my friend and I tasted was awful. I'm not one to dump wine in the bucket, even if it isn't my favorite, but I made an exception in this case. I can't speak to the rest of the experiences (restaurant, tour, etc.) because I didn't see the value. What would have made it slightly better is some sort of direction as to where you should go when you get there; especially for advanced reservations. Be prepared to stand uncomfortably close to the strangers around you when you finally get a spot at the bar.

Mary Corsaro

I have never had a negative experience here in my nearly nine years visiting the winery. Pre COVID and present, staff always goes above and beyond which is especially important in these trying times. The wine is good, but I don't think I will be going back again as it is ridiculous to charge people $12 just to sit at a picnic table. The breweries The Ground Effect and Medusa do not charge customers to sit down. That is a pretty cheap thing to do during these times. I understand limited capacity but a cancellation does not affect anything and honestly I can bring a glass on my own or drink out of a plastic cup.

Thought we'd give this place a try. We were visiting from California and heard great things. The entire trip was amazing. Massachusetts is wonderful...all except this one place which almost single handedly ruin our trip. It turned out you needed reservations in advance. All tours booked out, we couldn't even sit there. All understandable given the pandemic... But they didnt have to be so rude about it. Not just to me but to my whole family...i was shocked at their callousness. Terrible first impression.

The location is wonderful. You can do a picnic lunch, order a lunch from J's, or do the Snack Shack. Plenty of seating, both covered and uncovered. Stopped in last Sunday with friends for a wine tasting. I am not really a wine drinker as I am more of a beer person. The place was fairly busy and our server was asking another person behind the bar to answer questions about the wines. John, came over, introduced himself, asked where we were from, if it was our first time there and made us all feel right at home. He showed my friends a neat trick with a Blueberry Merlot wine (I bought a bottle myself because of it), it tasted like two completely different wines. I asked him about the whiskey and paid $5 for a tasting of the 11-year(bought a bottle of that as well). He asked if I was a whiskey drinker and when I told him I was new to it, he walked me through the tasting process. I have never enjoyed a whiskey more and now look forward to the next time I am local so I can come back and see what's new on the menu. Thanks John for taking the time and making sure we enjoyed our visit.

I’ve been there in the past and the wine tasting was more intimate this time it was like I was at a bar because I’ve got chips and I had to put them out. No one explained the wines all they do is pour the wine and walk away. I’m very disappointed in the winery and probably would not go back again it used to Be a very great experience . But it was very impersonal. When I’m looking for a winey to go to nashobi will not the one I will not be the one that I pick because I like the attention and I like to hear about the wines where the grapes came from not to shovel wine in front of me and walk away. I think they should go back to caring about who’s in front of them. Service I received was like being at my local bar that’s not my idea of a winetasting.

We have been coming to the winery for a long time and was very supportive throughout the pandemic and purchased wine a lot however when they finally opened for dine in they've started to charge a fee of 12$ to reserve a table. When I asked if the fee is going towards any purchase we make at the winery the answer was no and that the fee is just a fee. Business owners, stop being pigs! We want to support you but we refuse let you take advantage of us. If you read the review please make the change and you will be able to gain your old clients back. Your winery is a place we love, dont make us hate it.

Fees, rules and new business model makes it disappointing and we hesitate to go back. We also always purchased a few bottles to take home. Time to stop using the pandemic as an excuse. Too many businesses do this now but the best way to bring people back is to go back to your roots and what keeps the customers coming back. We’ve all been effected by the pandemic and had to adapt.
