The outside dining area was tranquil and tasteful and the food was absolutely fantastic. I had the charcuterie board and it was excellent. Highly recommend!

Absolutely outstanding. The charcuterie and cheese board is a meal itself. Salmon was excellent. Wine of course is great. When we arrived a tour group created a din but when they left(thankfully in 15 minutes after we arrived) the ambience was delightful.

Le Caveau hosted our wedding. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue. The gardens were gorgeous, they had impeccable cocktail and dinner service, an incredible seasonal hand-picked menu designed by the head chef, and really excellent local wines. Beatrice pulled it all together for us by being with us throughout the planning process for multiple calls, she had the dining room ready for us well before the ceremony, and she even kept the ceremony on schedule! A very special thank you to the staff at Le Caveau for taking such good care of our guests.

Restaurant Le Caveau offers outstanding dining (either indoors or al fresco), tasty wine and impeccable service at a moderate price. An accidental find while on a vacation trip that turned out to be a fantastic experience. Hope to return again.

Amazing! Chef Jason Lynch takes pride in every detail. Reservations are recommended but they do have a beautiful patio that is open from 11:30am offering a picturesque outdoor area to dine. I was on my way back to Halifax and thought I'd drop by for a quick bite and they were able to accomodate me. Had I known the menu was so incredible I would have made plans to have dinner there. Being attached to the Le Grand Pre Winery, you are able to ask for a flight of wine! My flight consisted of Domaine de Grand Pré Rose, 2017 Riesling, and their Ortege which was served with a delegate tasting amuse Boucher of apple, arugula and pesto! A wonderful touch. For an appetizer, and because I find myself on the opposite coast to where I live, I had to try the oysters. They were offering two types, the Sober island and shandaph. I ordered two of each and I had to have a few more of my favourite...the smaller sober Island oysters. Full of flavour, with a little touch of sweetness and so very fresh! I followed the oysters with the charcuterue board, comprised of House-made meats, chutneys, fiddleheads and pickled vegetables. A delight to have locally sourced meat cured with such amazing flavours. Staff are extremely friendly, accommodating and inviting. I would highly recommend making the trip out to Wolfville to enjoy a meal by the vineyard. A quick note on the wines, the Riesling had just been bottled, my absolute favourite, having a sweetness drawn from fruity tones, with a crispness that only Nova Scotia wines offer!

We brought a couple of old friends to Le Caveau for lunch on the terrace and it was simply excellent. One of our group was a celiac and she was delighted by the alternate choices offered to her off the menu. Our host, Beatrice was as perfect as the food and drink. A must for anyone coming to the Valley.

The reviews of this place do not lie. We went on a beautiful summer day for a lunch on their amazing patio. The view is magnificent with a plethora of flowers and vines that provides perfect shade and ambience. The waitress was very kind and even allowed our pug to dine with us at the table with our friends. The wine is fantastic and compliments the food perfectly. We had the lobster and scallop chowder which was AMAZING! the 3rd best chowder in Halifax by my count so far. I had the steak and frites which was perfectly cooked to a medium and my wife had the yellowfin tuna and Atlantic shrimp poke which was very fresh, refreshing and deliciously put together. We had the panna cotta for dessert which was a work of art beautifully put together with cherry compote and decorative edible flowers. The perfect meal.

My wife and I were here about a year ago and enjoyed the experience. We were seated in their garden area and it was a genuinely beautiful scene. Between the two of us we ordered a lobster risotto and a tuna steak. Both dishes were phenomenal.

I have eaten there twice. It's a very nice patio and the food is relatively good but the menu tends to be very limited as far as options and the wait staff have been consistently unpleasant. I wouldn't go back a third time. Each time they seemed very annoyed that we were there though we were just sitting there so not sure entirely what the issue was.

The best dining experience I have ever had, anywhere. the food and atmosphere stands up against fine dining from across Europe, with a unique flair giving the restaurant it's own feel. I went here immediately after I proposed to my fiancée, and they turned the night into something spectacular with a surprise finish on the dessert. The service was phenomenal and the food equally fantastic. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning many times!

This is a wonderful place to go to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or well deserved date night together. The quality and presentation of the food is outstanding, and the service is attentive without being overbearing. We shared a fresh loaf of bread, and each had a starter, a main, and a dessert, which was slightly too much food for us; I would recommend sharing either the starter or the dessert. The whole experience is lovely, and I would allow ample time before other plans to allow yourselves time to enjoy it properly. 5 stars.

We had lunch at the patio, under the pergolas. Beautiful place with interesting menu. Wine served was from their winery, which we visited later. At the moment we can't taste the wines at the store before purchasing because of COVID restrictions so I bought what I had at lunch. Good experience, highly recommended!

Stopped in here for a bite to eat around 1:30/2pm on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon in October. Walked up the nice cobblestone grounds to the entrance of the patio and were greeted immediately. I asked if there would be much of a wait because we didn't have reservations. Luckily, the last two reservations had just been seated so there was no wait and we got one of the tables in partial sun/partial shade, which was good. The spacing of the tables maybe due to covid, but it was very nice to have some distance from the others there. One family had two young kids running around and I'm glad they weren't directly next to our table, as that takes away from the tranquil, romantic feel that this place exudes. Anyway, our first server didn't come back after several minutes and then someone else replaced her to take our order, which took a bit of time. But that was the only minor issue of the visit. The food overall was very good on the Lunch menu. My Fresh House-made Spaghettini (veg from local farmers, paired with carefully sourced seafood, finished with cheese. $16 for the smaller portion). Assuming these ingredients vary depending on the day or week. Mine came with about five delicious, perfectly done scallops, cherry tomatoes, scallions in a rich cream sauce with lots of parmesan. Combined with a side Caesar salad ($7) which had good chunks of pork belly, freshly grated parm, I assume homemade croutons. The dressing was more of the vinegary style than heavy cream. I was quite full after this and there was no way I'd be able to have a dessert. A glass of Tidal Bay was perfect though. My friend wanted to eat a smaller portion at the time so had a bowl of the Lobster, Scallop & Cold Water Shrimp Chowder ($15 with Spanish almond broth, spring onions, smoked paprika). He said that it was good due to the unique almonds in it to give it texture, but it got cool very fast from being outdoors. It came with a thick slice of focaccia which was a bit dense and dry, but fine for dipping. Decent sized portion was just right for lunch. I definitely want to come back here for dinner some evening and check out what it's like for the indoor dining.

Every single time we go here it's perfect. Food, service, atmosphere, and the staff couldn't be any better. The oysters were to die for, the charcuterie board is always amazing, and the Wagyu steak is one of the best I've ever had. They even wrote us a handwritten anniversary card because we mentioned it was our anniversary! 10/10 would always recommend. We'll be back!

My wife and I have been here twice already and will make this our special occasions treat ,(birthdays, anniversaries, etc). I don't have any photographs of our experience as we were preoccupied with enjoying our time together. The restuarant service is the most friendly, professional, and accommodating. I can not say enough excellent things about them. The food is outstanding and is the best in Nova Scotia. Each time we have been there we had meals that were so incredible. The kitchen staff are the best in Nova Scotia and this establishment should be very proud. The wine shop has the best Nova Scotia wine to offer with friendly and knowledgeable professional staff. It is a beautiful establishment and winery.

The service was very friendly. Wine from our own vineyards can be served with each course. A visit to the wine shop including wine tasting followed by a meal in the restaurant is highly recommended. Sehr gut zubereitete scallops. Schön saftig. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Zu jedem Gang kann Wein aus dem eigenen Anbau serviert werden. Ein Besuch des Weinshops inkl. Weinprobe mit anschliessendem Essen im Restaurant absolut empfehlenswert. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Did not meet expectations. Had heard positive reviews and was looking forward to an excellent meal with my girlfriend. Trout gnocchi was not a potato dumpling but a hard wheat pasta which detracted from the delicate fish. Smoked Duck breast was tough and without flavour. Seafood in the rigatoni pasta was over cooked and served in a flat unstructured tomato sauce. Only dish worth eating was the streak which was cooked as ordered and a very good cut of meat. Will not return and would not recommend.

Beautiful place. Come early to walk through the vineyard before dinner. There is a lookout spot on the far side about 10 mins walk with a perfect spot to see the sunset. We had a group of 8 fine here and between soups appetizers and main everything was fantastic.

Fantastic food and waitstaff, the time between each course was perfect, enough to let the food settle. The wine list had so many local wines that it was hard to choose just one. A lot of fresh local ingredients really made the dishes pop and the atmosphere was a mix between modern and rustic. Would go back again without a second thought.

I celebrated my birthday here last week and had the best meal I have had in a long time. Even with the Covid restrictions it was a great night out that was safe and comfortable.
