All of their ciders are tasty - ranging from dry to pleasantly sweet. The Great Dane that greats you when you arrive is actually very friendly as is the knowledgable lady who handles the tasting. Well worth a visit.

Mat and Melissa have created such a beautiful space to “sit stay and enjoy”. Located in clear creek, it might seem off the beaten path, but it is certainly worth the scenic route. Of course all products are named with a dog theme in mind. During your visit, you’re bound to see a pup or two trotting around. Delicious wines + ciders that are a must-try in Norfolk’s emerging wine scene.

Came here today on a road trip. Stopped by because my girlfriend wanted to visit. Matt, the owner, was a very nice guy. He explained to us some if the processes of making his ciders and wines, as we were tasting with him. The coders were absolutely phenomenal. Very nice noses, and the flavours were out of this world. My girlfriend even enjoyed the red wine, even though she does not normally enjoy red. The tannins were very light and the wine had a nice peppery taste and feel to it. I would recommend this Vineyard to everyone.

Mat and Melissa have worked incredibly hard to not only develop and sell delicious hard cider and wines but to also ensure that the estate matches with their mission: "When a guest leaves the Hounds of Erie, the most important thing I want them to take with them is the story of ‘their’ experience they can share again and again.” By opening their doors every weekend from April to October to the public, they welcome folks with incredible warmth. Not only do they ensure that you will have a great time enjoying the fruits of their labour, they also ensure that the experience extends to you any dog friends that may tag along with you. The entire estate is very dog friendly and they regularly host summer events like the Top Dog Photo shoot on their estate that offers dogs a chance to try out a lure course while you enjoy their ciders and wines. On top of this, they also support many local dog-friendly vendors and sell their products to support other local small businesses. Truly a great place to spend an afternoon or day here.

We had a tour with Melissa upon our arrival and got to chat with Matt as well. You can see and feel their passion for what they do. They have a beautiful vineyard. We picked up some hard cider and wine while we were there. I would strongly recommend you go to Hounds of Erie Winery. You will not be disappointed

good baked goods with fresh blueberries. cider with mix of blue berry was excellent. other ciders average in the area. part of a trio of wineries in same area. all are worth a stop.
