As covid struck Sault Ste. Marie Thompson's came up with a safe, family oriented experience for the Thanksgiving holiday and pumpkins to choose for Halloween. The beverages and food were delicious and the adults can chill with their locally made strawberry wine which seemed to be a hit with those who like to enjoy that. Great for families and adults on a date, the scenery is beautiful and the colors hit it off beautifully. Truely a Northern Ontario experience!

A lovely location with lots to do! A good place for adults and families. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Sadly we did not get to try all the wines available because they had sold out (awesome for them). The pumpkin cider we tried was delicious and we would love to come back to try the others. The property is lovely to walk around with a drink and they also have a small menu of food to enjoy. They also have live local entertainment on the weekends that we heard was a big crowd drawer so if you are looking for something quiet I would suggest going during the week.

They were out of the flavours of cider that we wanted to try, but still got a flight each and a charcuterie board. Nice patio. And we picked up some jam in the store afterwards.

Tip: go as far from the entrance to the field as possible. That's where the best berries are. The an trance are is over picked

Had a fun time out here with my little guy! Did corn launching, hayride, and bought a great pumpkin! They have a little playground for the kids and had a bonfire going. There was a corn maze but at this point in the season it wasn't in great shape. Was a fun fall adventure for a couple of hours. Def bring your wallet though.

A beautiful location to go strawberry picking, fun for the family as the kids seemed to really enjoy. This is from my perspective, as I heard many families around me with their kids enjoying their picking experience. The weeds and grass is quite tall, so if you have allergic reactions, come prepared. On hot days, bring sun hat & sunscreen! Their on farm store sells baked yummy goods, strawberry lemonade, strawberries and other produce. The staff are very friendly, offering a feel at home atmosphere.

Had a Birthday party here. The owner and staff are very friendly. The appetizers are what they have for a menu. We tried every one of them. All were excellent. The wines and hard ciders are excellent. Go give them a try.

Just visited Thomson's with my family for drinks and appetizers and was blown away with the atmosphere, service, food and drinks. A great, unique experience a short drive outside the city with lots to do for kids as well! I definitely would recommend this to everyone wanting to go for a nice drive and pick up some local produce on your way out!

This farm and winery was very close to the Soo! They have a lot of activités such as strawberry picking, corn maze and wagon rides. I couldn’t justify spending $10 to try out the maze but purchased some strawberry cider and wine instead. I wish more flavours of the cider were available but this is a cute place to check out!

The staff are friendly and helpful. There is lots of parking. The activities are well organized, spaces are clean and inviting. They offer tractor rides, kid friendly corn maze and a haunted maze, corn cannon, pumpkins of various shapes, sizes and colours. There is also a farm shop offering baked goods, fresh produce, and ciders and wines. If you are interested in sitting down for drinks and appetizers, you can have that too, in the wine barn or on the patio. I highly recommend Thompson Farms!

Are those pictures of my sister Caroline's desserts? I loved them growing up. Now, your customers are reaping the benefits. Awesome! PS...she also makes an 'out of this world' lasagna. But don't let her near the chicken. She chased and terrified my 6 ft. tall brother with a raw chicken on her hand one day! I think he's still afraid of chickens! ???????????? This business is intent on succeeding as evidenced by constant innovation and renewal. When the strawberries are in season I make regular visits for fresh berries and at their peak freeze a winter supply. Their late ripening berries are fantastic in late July. The web site does not always reflect the hours of operation accurately and don't expect flags or a field supervisor. A very family friendly place. Try the wines, and the baking, and note the vegetables coming on strong.
