Friendly staff which is so important during a busy period. Was really happy the server listened to me and didn't crack under the pressure of my friends to give me alchohol when I wanted a Virgin cocktail. So happy with my service tonight !! Definitely recommend this place, I have been here before. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, it's a bit darker but you can clearly read the menu but enjoy the ambiance for a whiskey drink

This place has realy great cocktails. You can tell they really put the effort into crating new and exciting drinks. They have a very good selection of different liquors. Also they have some neat events they hold there that are worth checking out if you get a chance before they sell out. There is also a nice little dish of bar nuts which you can always tell its a good spot if they have good, free bar nuts!

Great cocktails bar. Small and intimate. Great for scotch lovers but also have plenty of options for people who are not. Not wheelchair accessible as the washrooms are downstairs and all the tables are cocktail height on the main floor.

Definitely one of my favourite venues in all of Saint John. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable of the menu and the cocktail quality is consistent and above the rest for SJ! The classic Whiskey Sour or Extra Old Fashioned are two personal favourites. But for those not interested in these types of spirits, Hopscotch always has a variety of craft beers and tasty wines as well! A must visit if you are on a night out in Uptown SJ!

A favourite stop on the Uptown circuit. Terrific ambiance, and a great collection of whiskeys. The exposed brick and wood makes it warm, and the upstairs seating is good for groups looking to lounge, talk and drink.

Lovely cozy spot, great drinks, friendly atmosphere! Only comment would be to say that I didn't love my whiskey sour, it might be that i didn't care fur the egg white. Otherwise, we loved the place. The Hopscotch, gin and tonic and Irish mule were perfect! We'll be back to try some more drinks.

Cozy little bar with a great selection of scotches and other fine distilled offerings. We found this place on the advice of our server after an incredible Italian meal. Having visited Saint John on a staycation, our friends drove the one hour drive from Fredericton to join us for the evening. The bar is two stories with cushioned benches rather than tables or chairs. I did feel this was not the most comfortable nor conducive to feeling separation, especially at this time. However, perhaps this was the casual theme the owners were going for. There was a strange hybrid like stuffed animal hanging from the ceiling. Apparently it is called a Jackelope. The server explained its background but you’ll have to visit and see for yourself as I forgot to take a pic. Anyway, great place to visit for sipping with friends.

Great choice of whiskeys as you'd expect at a whiskey bar. Good service. Upstairs is a bit stark. If the revenue justifies it I'd put a double sided fireplace in the upstairs level to divide the space and make it a bit more intimate. Still, really enjoyed it.

Good cocktails and nice interior. I'd describe the service demeanor as "mildly irritated relative who hasn't recieved enough warning that you'd be in town for a visit". Expecially the guy with the shaved head. I like when you ask for something they don't have and they look away from the table as if they're on the office and are looking into a camera you don't know about to do one of these: ????. Will return again next time I'm there to confirm this hasn't changed ????

Today we had the pleasure of visiting for the first time! I am sure it will not be our last. We were served by Jake. Jake was incredibly nice and patient! We had the chance to try three whiskeys and also bought a few glasses to enjoy some drinks at home! Bathrooms are adorable and clean! The main floor bar was adorable and well decorated! Highly recommend!

Fantastic selection of whisky from around the world. They've also got a great cocktail menu, and beer to round it out. The excellent staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. If they've got the ingredients, they'll mix up whatever you want. The space upstairs and downstairs is very cozy and comfortable. A great place to hang out.
