I love this place. Great food quality and deliciously inventive combinations that aren't too fussy mean I will come back again and again. I had the scallop risotto with their Save The Bees cocktail, and my friend got the Poutine Week option they were offering (Southwest Popcorn Chicken Poutine ????). Everything was amazing! Stop in Saint John on a cruise in Canada/New England. After our excursion, we found this place and stopped in for a drink. Nice atmosphere, beers were good, and so was the poutine. Would have bought a shirt, but wanted one with just the brewery logo.

Fun specials and a solid base menu along with excellent beer - brewed onsite - makes for a delicious and unique experience. Dine or drink by the huge windows for a nice view of princess street. I also love that they sell and refill glass jugs of beer to go!

Came here by myself on a Wednesday, had a blast. The local guys and bartender were friendly and we made a team for trivia night. The craft beer (double ipa) was quite good, and the dinner special was tasty. I'll definitely be back next time I visit Saint John!

Will never go back. My husband ordered a burger and pop and side of wings and I got a one piece fish and chips and water and we waited an hour for our food and then were charged $85. Service was disappointing when they didn't even smile when we came in and sat us at a dirty table and then forgot to put in our order. Disappointed.

We stopped in here for early dinner in Saint John, NB last year we spent 3 months touring the lovely Country of Canada! I had their tasty Greek Salad which Doris chose Doris chose their Barbecue Wrap with side order of rice which she thoroughly enjoyed along with a glass of White Wine and a Draft Pilsner for me to wash it down. Our server was attentive, courteous and friendly. Our total bill came to $ 49 CAD $ 36 (USD). Super spot to grab some grub!

Saint John's only brewery and pub. The beer selection varies depending on the season and available crafting supplies, but you can always find a nice ale and bitter on tap. The staff are wonderful and pleasant and often engage in conversation if they are not too busy, which does happen, just be patient. with them. Located in the heart of downtown Saint John, they are within walking distance of most other city attractions.

We went there as a group. Food we ordered was great. We were happy with the service, too. If you go there try the black beer. It was the best black beer I have tasted in Canada. It had this a bit of chocolaty flavor in it.

I"m not sure if they still serve this here but I once got their curry and could literally feel the powder in my mouth felt like eating sand, Haven't been back since. Only redeeming factor of the night was the beer, which was very good, but the food was the worst experience I've ever had.

Who doesn’t love a brew pub and Big Tide Brewing is the one and only in Saint John. Along with all the fine Beers they make on site, they also have a very tasty menu. My dinner there was certainly impressive. I started off with a French Onion soup and finished with the Italian Meatball Burger. A few of the folks I know from Saint John call this their favourite everyday restaurant and I can see why. That was a very delicious burger, it certainly left me feeling happy and full.

If Saint Johnners haven't figured it out yet, The Big Tide is the best pub/microbrewery in the city. I am a Steiner member, which simply means I enjoy my beer in a great big 25 ounce mug that belongs to me. The food and beer is excellent and it's a great place to come for a good time. Some of my favourite microbrews are made here. Their Karnival Kolsch is without peer. Be sure to book ahead if you are going on Tuesday's or Wednesday's as they are pub quiz nights and the pub can be packed. If visiting in the summer, ask for the large street windows to be opened.

I regularly visit big tide and am heartbroken to find out that my favourite server has had to quit as she’s not allowed her small tattoos on display. I’m really upset to find this out as a tattoo doesn’t impact on great customer service. This is such a shame for the restaurant as its best server has now gone after she worked there for such a long time and always made my visits enjoyable.

My mom was in town and we met some people at big tide. Mom and I decided to get fish and chips. The service was fast despite the chefs interest in running out every 15 minutes to smoke and text across the street. Probably that was the reason for 2 almost burned pieces of fish on fries with a lake of oil on the bottom. other ppl on our table ordered their food at the same time but waited at least 35 minutes even though the restaurant was empty. The beer of course was good as always, just a tip the Koelsch is terrible please take it off it doesn't even taste close to Koelsch, call it Carnival Pale Ale. 4 stars for the beer + 1 barley 1 star for the food. I give you 3 stars because you make good beer.

Visited Big Tide Brewing for lunch today. This place was great! The fish and chips were delicious, the spicy fries were filling, and the dill pickle soup was intriguing. I also liked my beer (Wild Weed Summer Ale). Our server was super nice as well.

The food is AMAZING! one of the few places im not scared to order seafood and beef. Had the best salmon fillet of my life there. And their home brew beer is awesome and cheap! Open till 12am I highly recomend it to anyone who loves a rellaxed place to gather drink and eat good food

Good experiences here. Good choices for lactose free and low gluten good. Ask the waiter / waitress what's gluten free rather then relying on the menu which lists "gluten friendly" which is not appropriate for everyone.

The beer was good but that's about as good as it gets. The service was incredibly slow despite there being only 4 tables in the place. After almost 10 minutes to get our drinks, we waited over 35 minutes to get our food (just fish and fries). Once we did get our food, all the fish was overcooked and incredibly dry. Good thing the waitress never asked us how our food was! Though she did remember after 15 minutes that we asked for malt vinegar (which came in a dip cup, apparently not a standard condiment at THIS British-style pub). Needless to say this was a very disappointing experience for the family we had visiting from out of province.
